Thinking about Whitney saying (after being asked “what does being vegan mean? in that one old ass video I found) something to the effect of “well it means not eating any animal products or buying stuff with like hide or anything. But it’s hard to resist the appeal of Nikes” ….. that video is full of things that deeply amuse me but I think about that a lot

Intertwined Pt 2: Unspoken truth
Pairing: Loki x Female Reader
Summary: You and Loki are bound together as soulmates through red string. You are also given poems to help you figure it out along the way.
Word count: 4.6k
Tumblr media
Finally recovering from another episode of poems, you gained composer and looked towards Loki. He stared back at you with confusion in his eyes and you thought you saw his lips curve into a smirk. You were pulled from your thoughts when Steve started to talk.
"You know, last time I was in Germany and saw a man standing above everyone else, we ended up disagreeing" As he spoke, he took more and more steps closer to Loki.
"The soldier" The villain started to chuckle.
"Can I just say Mr Loki, you remind me of a green goblin" You stood beside Steve and Loki's smile dropped.
"A green goblin?" He almost seemed offended and you just nodded your head. "Guess you two are out of time"
"Oh, we're not the ones out of time" Steve replied and behind you Natasha zoomed closer in a ship. She pressed some buttons, which then opened a compartment to lower a gun type weapon.
"Loki, drop the weapon and stand down" The woman you remembered as Nat said on the PA.
"Well that ain't gonna work. While you're at it, you might as well ask him to leave earth" You spoke into an earpiece to talk to the woman and she didn't reply to your sarcasm.
Loki then fired another blue shot. This time to the ship behind you. Natasha steered and dodged, while Steve threw his shield at the villain. The shield came back to him like a boomerang and the man ran and hit Loki over the head with it.
When he didn't fall down, you ran and threw a punch, only to have your wrist get caught. You looked up at the villainous man before you and saw that his eyes were so green, they looked like shining emeralds. You hadn't realised that Loki also stared and Steve punched him again. You were both shook from whatever was happening and Loki and Steve started to hit each other with their weapons.
When Steve was knocked to the ground, you ran up and did a high kick. Loki dodged out the way and the two of you carried on sparring. Only, it was more like you were performing a dance.
"You're a good fighter darling" Loki said as he blocked another punch.
"You're not so bad yourself" You replied with a playful smirk as he grabbed your wrist and you twirled around. You decided to use the full of your power and you reached to touch the side of Loki's head. When you did, Loki just grabbed your wrist again but didnt remove it from its place.
"How did you get here?" Loki realised what you were doing and tried to stop himself from speaking.
"The Tesseract acted as a gateway and I walked through" He replied and then silently cursed himself for being suaded to answer you.
"And why is it, you're here?" You wanted him to answer one more question. You wanted to be of use to Fury and not let him down. However, Loki pushed your hand away before your powers could betray his silence.
"Not this time miss mischief" The male smirked at your annoyed expression.
The dance fighting continued until you were able to land a punch. Part of you meant to punch him like that, but another part felt horrible.
You were going to continue, when you heard rock music playing from the ship and something flying over. The closer it got, the more you saw that it was someone in a red metal suit. They lifted both their hands and shot golden blasts at the horned villain. He flew back to the ground against some concrete stairs and you slightly winced.
The flying figure landed in front of him and he stood in a fighting stance, with weapons popping out from the back of the suit. Steve and you joined him.
"Make your move Reindeer games" The figure spoke in a muffled voice. You laughed and everyone looked at you.
"What, it was funny. Although I like green goblin better" You shrugged and when you looked down, you saw Loki trying to hold back a smile.
Loki proceeded to move his hands apart and slowly, his armour disappeared. Almost like magic and left his heads up as if he was being arrested. In return, the figure also lowered his weapons.
"Good move" Loki stared at you intensely as Steve sighed.
"Mr Stark" You whipped your head around.
"Captain" Was the suits reply.
"Wait! That's Mr stark under there?" You pointed to the suit and Steve gave you a cold stare.
"Yes, it was in the debriefing package that you said you read. Did you not?" The man before you folded his arms and waited for your answer.
"I skimmed it actually" You looked away in embarrassment and Steve just rolled his eyes.
"Either way, good to meet you kid" Stark put his metal arm out and you shook it with a smile.
"Nice to meet you too, big fan of your work" The man chuckled before restraining the villain and loading him onto the ship. You walked behind with Steve.
"So, you're just gonna start acting like a dick to me" You snapped quietly.
"Let's not do this now, we're on a mission" Steve answered you shortly.
"To do what? We won against the villain and now all that's left is dropping him off. Plus he's harmless right now" You whispered back harshly.
"Still, lets not right now" He sped up in front and you huffed with annoyance.
Once the ship took off, you sat next to Loki and stared at him. Steve and Stark stood near the cockpit, all while giving you a confused glance. Stark had finally removed the mask on his suit and looked just like you imagined. He had brown spiky hair and a goatee.
Loki never looked in your direction, but you could tell he knew what you were thinking.
"I don't know anything about what we saw" The man turned to you with a sort of sad smile and you found yourself focusing in on his emerald eyes again.
"I wasn't thinking about that" When in actual fact you were and now you were looking at every detail that formed on his face.
"Don't try to deceive me, you're not the only one that can read minds darling"
"don't call me darling" You chuckled.
"Why ever not?" Loki spoke with such a soft tone, that you felt small Goosebumps on your arms.
"Because, you don't know me and i don't know you"
"Trust me, there'll be plenty of that in the future" The male gave you a wink.
"Sure" You smirked.
"Only to agent y/n" You heard Natasha whisper into her headset.
"I'll be right back green goblin, don't go anywhere" You patted the villain on the back and he smiled softly.
"I don't like it" You heard Steve say.
"What don't you like?" You asked and the man slightly glared at you.
"I don't like the fact that you're acting all chummy with that guy" Steve pointed to Loki.
"Are you jealous of a villain? Cause last I checked we weren't anything, exclusive" The last word rolled on your tongue like a bad taste.
"I'm not jealous" The blonde retaliated, but you could clearly see him clenching his jaw as if to stop himself from throwing any punches.
"Then what is it?"
"It has never been that easy. He packs a wallop" That's when you chuckled.
"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow" Stark joins. "What's your thing, Pilates?"
"What?" The question caught Steve off guard.
"It's like calisthenics. You must've missed a couple things, doing time as a Capsicle" Stark finished and you snickered at the new nickname until you calmed down.
"Nah, goes to the gym and punches the bags till they fall off" You reply without thinking.
"Fury didn't tell me he was calling you in" The blonde ignored your response.
"You told me you knew and that it was in the debriefing" You yelled.
"I lied, just wanted to mess with you" The male shrugged.
"Well, there's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you" Stark answered.
Before you knew it, lightning was shooting out left, right and centre around the ship. It was almost like it came out of nowhere. Everyone looked to Loki and he had an expression that made him seem uncomfortable and worried.
"What, scared of a little thunder?" Steve asked.
"I'm not overly fond of who follows" You questioned his meaning and soon heard a thump on the top of the ship.
"I swear if that's an enemy of yours, I want no part of it Loki!" You stated as you threw your hands in the air. Stark put on his mask and opened the end hatch.
"What're you doing?" Steve asked and a tall figure dropped on the platform.
"Stark is apparently being hospitable and letting this asshole in" You gestured to a man who wore some type of silver armour and a red cape. He had long hair, which was blonder than Steve's and a stubble. "Sorry sir, would you like anything to drink?" You sarcastically gestured for the man to enter and bowed.
Tony stood in front and the stranger smashed an unseemly large hammer into his chest, leaving him to fly backwards. The man then moved over to where Loki was and pulled him up to face him. They stared for a few seconds before Loki was dragged out the ship.
"Get back here, we need him!!" You yelled as you chased them to the platform and stopped when they dropped out.
"Now there's that guy" Tony said as he finally stood back up. You stormed back over and punched Steve in the arm.
"Is he Asgardian?" Nat asked from her pilots seat.
"A friendly?" Steve asked.
"Is he an accomplice?" You asked.
"Doesn't matter. If he frees Loki or kills him, the Tesseract's lost" Was all Stark replied with as he started walking back to the end of the ship.
"Hey, we at least need a plan tin can" You shout as you followed the suited man.
"I have a plan and don't call me that" You could imagine him rolling his eyes.
"I'm coming with you then" As Stark started to fly to the ground, you jumped after him and grabbed his foot.
"Are you kidding me? Let go!!" Stark yelled down to you as he lost his balance.
"No, I said I was coming" As you spoke, you started to lose your grip and then all together, fell from the sky.
You plummeted to the ground and screamed as much as you could. Looking up, it didn't seem that Stark realised you had slipped. You continued to scream until you felt a pair of strong arms grab you in a bridal style and flew to the ground. It wasn't till you looked up, that you saw the man who took Loki and that you were stood atop a mountain.
"Are you alright?" The man spoke with concern and had had ocean blue eyes.
"Huh, so you do have manners" You plopped out of his grasp and saw Loki in front of you. "Two of you working together or is this some kind of rivalry?" You pulled your lips into a tight line as you heard Loki laugh.
"Ha, that's funny. No, this runs deeper than rivalry darling" He smiled wickedly.
"We're brothers" The man behind said and your eyes widened.
"Sure we grew up together, but I was always a shadow to his greatness" You saw the slightest bit of pain wash over Loki's face before it disappeared into darkness. "I have seen the true power of the Tesseract, and when I wield it..."
"Who showed you this power? Who controls the would be king?" The blonde walked closer to Loki and grabbed his shoulders.
"I am a king!!" Loki yelled and you flinched.
"Not here!" The man yelled back and you walked beside him.
"Loki, where is the Tesseract?" You asked softly as you carefully placed a hand on his cheek. The villain looked at you with sadness and then a smile.
"I don't have it my dear" The blonde beside you went to throw a punch and you stood in the way, taking the hard blow. Before the male took a step forward, you saw Stark fly into him and past you and Loki.
You dropped to the ground and clung to your cheek. The pain caused a ringing in your ears and your cheek felt hot and tingly. You felt arms hold you by the shoulders and then someone lift your chin up. Tears began to prick at bottom of your eyes, threatening to drop. When you finally looked up to see the figure, you were surprised to see Loki and that's when the tears ran down.
"Why are you crying my dear?" He wiped your cheeks softly and smiled.
"Why didn't you run?" You spoke between cries.
"I'm sorry? I don't think I follow"
"Why didn't you run when that guy got flown to god knows where?" You looked at him quizzically.
"Because you're hurt" He furrowed his brows as if it was the most obvious answer and you grinned. "Now let me see" Loki whispered as he took hold of your hand and moved it away from your cheek.
"Is it bad?" You muttered and the man shook his head.
"Just red, but should go down soon" The male stroked the redness of your cheek and you felt the ease of where the pain used to be.
"Thank you, Loki"
"Anytime, darling" You playfully pushed his shoulder.
"Thought I told you not to call me that"
"And I thought you knew, I don't listen to anyone" The male chuckled and locked eyes with you. You both inched a little closer and then heard a loud crash, snapping you to look away from one another.
Loki coughed behind you and you took in a big sigh. Hearing a few yells you turned to see that at the bottom of the cliff, Stark and the blonde were in the middle of a fight. The guy with the hammer, lifted it high and conjured up lightning.
"You have got to be kidding" You gritted and Loki laughed at your reaction. "What you laughing at green goblin?"
"No reason" He shrugged as the guy then shot the lightning towards Tony, frying up his suit. However, he shot right back.
Tony flew at the blonde guy and they continued to fight as they drew further away from you.
"Guess they forgot I'm here" You threw your arms up and slapped your lap.
"I'm sure they'll return" Loki stood up.
"Leaving already?" You stared at him wondering what to do now.
"If I stay, I'll get caught and I've had enough of that for one day" He smiled widely and you too stood up.
"What makes you think I won't stop you?" You folded your arms over your chest and Loki walked up to you. He leaned in and his lips brushed against your ear.
"Because you wouldn't of stopped me if I had kissed you moments ago" His voice was barely a whisper and his breath felt hot against your skin.
You could of sworn that the redness from where you were punched grew even redder. You tried to respond but your voice had hitched and you just stood awkwardly as Loki turned away and fled.
Soon, you heard a sort of explosion and carefully ran down a narrow path that led to the bottom of the cliff. You ran and made it to the guys before they all thought you were dead.
"Miss me" You grinned widely and Tony shook your hand.
"Thought you were dead pipsqueak" You rolled your eyes at the new name.
"At least it's better than Capsicle" You laughed as you looked to Steve.
"Midgardian, we haven't formally met. I'm Thor" The blonde who saved you smiled.
"Nice to meet you, I'm y/n" You smiled back.
"As much as I like meetings like these. Here's a question agent, where's Loki?" Steve asked harshly.
"He got away from me" You lied and then you heard Nat on your headset.
"We've located and restrained Loki, come back and we'll head to Mr Fury" The woman spoke and the line went dead.
Steve held onto Tony's hands as he flew up and you held onto Thor. It didn't take long for your small group to reach the ship and when saw Loki, you gave him a sad smile.
You never said a word until you reached the larger ship that Fury was on. A few guards had come to collect the villain and escorted him through some doors and your group made its way to the bridge. Everyone was listening in to Nick and Loki's conversation through a PA.
Although everyone was listening, your mind was elsewhere. You would be too, if it wasn't for the man who almost kissed you. You felt for your lips and tried to imagine what it would've been like. Soft and sweet or rough and heated. Banner spoke and it snapped you from any thoughts that should be like forbidden fruit to you.
"Really grows on you doesn't he?"
"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked the man that stood deep in thought.
"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not from Asgard, nor any world known" He sadly looked around the room of your group. "He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth, in return, I suspect, the Tesseract" He finished.
"An army, from outer space" Steve looked to the group and then you.
"He's building another portal then" You roll your eyes.
"That's what he needs Erik Selvig for" Banner finished.
"Selvig?" Thor looked at the man quizzically.
"He's an astrophysicist" Banner replied.
"A friend" Thor responded.
"Loki has him under some kind of spell" Natasha mentioned with a sadness upon her face.
"And one of ours" You mentioned.
"I want to know why Loki let us take him. He's not leading an army from here" Steve wondered aloud.
"Then let me go in and find out" You stood in front of Mr Capsicle.
"Y/n, I don't think we should focus on Loki right now" Banner defended.
"Well you guys can focus on other situations, I'll focus on Loki" You stormed out to the hall and heard footsteps behind you.
"You do know he killed 80 people in 2 days right?" Nat warned and you continued walking.
"Y/n, wait!" Steve yelled as he grabbed your arm to turn you around. You shook it off and stared daggers into his gaze.
"What do you want Captain?" You spat out the last word and Steve winced.
"I'm sorry, about before. I never once thought it was just fooling around"
"Then why lie to me? Why hurt me like that?" Every question was finished with a tear staining your cheeks.
"I don't know, maybe I didn't want a repeat of what happened to me last time" Steve looked at the ground and your heart broke. You felt for his cheek and smiled weakly.
"I'm sorry, but you have lied to me one too many times now, it's best we just leave it in the past now"
You turned to walk away again and this time, Steve pulled you back and locked his lips with yours for a brief second. He let you go and without another word left to head back to the bridge.
You found the room that was holding Loki and with a deep breath, you walked in. Seeing Loki had somehow put your mind at ease and made you question what you were doing.
"Hello daring, miss me already?" The mischievous man smirked towards you.
"Always the charmer aren't you?" You smirked back and walked closer to the cage. "You gonna tell us anything about your intentions?" You looked at him hopefully.
"Sorry dear, I can't do that" His smile faded and he continued to stand tall before you.
"Can't, or won't?" You folded your arms over your chest as the god before you thought long and hard.
"Won't I'm afraid" He shrugged.
You pressed some buttons that opened the door and when you walked in, they shut automatically.
"Will you tell me anything that's the truth" You pleaded and the man smiled weakly.
"I like you miss mischief" He smiled as he caressed your cheek and you did the same.
"Then tell me why you let yourself get caught" You smiled slightly in hopes he'll allow the power to force his truth out.
"Sorry darling, that doesn't work on me anymore" The man smirked devilishly as he lightly touched your hand.
He gazed deeply into your eyes as he inched in closer. He then placed another hand upon your hip and pulled you in to meet him in the middle. Your breath hitched from the fast movement and you locked your eyes onto the lines of his lips. You threaded your fingers through his hair and pulled him in to close the remaining gap between you. You pulled away just as quick as you went in.
"I'll continue to play your little game, green goblin" You winked and walked out the prison cell.
"Touché, my dear" The villain laughed as you left to head back to the bridge.
Everyone turned and stared you down when you returned.
"Where've you been agent?" Tony asked and you shrugged in return.
"Thought I could get info from greenie" You answered.
"Anyway, me and Banner are going to do some tracking, you in to have fun?" Stark patted you on the back as the two left the room and you ran after them.
You mainly looked at the sceptor and listened as the two men geeked out about the science of it all. Tony also shocked Banner on the side and you laughed.
"You really have got a lid on it haven't you". Stark seemed impressed and you heard the yelling of Steve behind you.
"Is everything just a joke to you?" His voice boomed in the room.
"Steve, it's okay just calm down" You stepped in front of him.
"Funny things are" Tony put out bluntly and you turned to glare at him.
"Not helping" You spat.
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship, isn't funny. No offence doc" Steve's glance was cold.
"Why don't you leave and cool down for a bit?" You tried to push the tall male through the doors, but failed.
"You need to focus on the problem Mr Stark and y/n why don't you leave instead" Steve spoke harshly.
"Because I don't want to" The glared at the man and looked back at Tony.
"First off, leave y/n alone. Second, what, you think I'm not? Why did Fury call us in? Why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us?" Starks questions made you stop and think what you hadn't thought before until now.
"You have a point"
"I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables"
"You think Fury's hiding something?" Steve questioned.
"He's a spy Captain. 'the' spy, his secrets have secrets. Bugging her too, isn't it" Tony pointed to you and you nodded slightly.
"Not as much as Einstein here" You chuckled and you saw Tony's lips twitch up a little.
"What about you doctor?" Steve asked as he faced Banner, who sighed.
"'A warm light for all mankind' Loki's jab at Fury about the cube" He started.
"Yeah, we heard it" You pointed out.
"I think that was meant for you" Banner turned to Stark. "Even if Barton didn't tell Loki about the tower, it was still all over the news"
"The Stark tower? That big, ugly..." You elbowed him in the arm to shut up and Tony gave him a sort of sad glance. "Building in New York?"
"It's powered by an arc reactor, a self-sustaining energy source" Banner continued.
"So, your saying, it could run itself for like what, a year?" You asked.
"It's just a prototype" Tony shrugged it off. "I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now"
"Then why didn't S.H.I.E.L.D bring him in on the Tesseract project?" You pointed out the big question.
"And what are they doing in the energy business in the first place?" Banner joined.
"I guess I should look into that once my decryption program finishes breaking into all of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s secure files" Tony starts to walk out as he looks at a tablet in his hands.
"I'm sorry, did you say..." You look at Steve.
"Just let him do his thing, maybe he'll find something useful"
"Jarvis has been running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours, I'll know every dirty secret S.H.I.E.L.D has ever tried to hide"
"If you get caught, you're screwed" You laugh nervously.
"Maybe, blueberry?" He offers you a container of the fruit and you gladly took a few.
"And you're confused as to why they didn't want you around" You glared at Steve again.
"An intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not awesome" You laugh at Tony's comment and Steve rolls his eyes.
"I think Loki's trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war and if we don't stay focused, he'll succeed"
"Have you questioned him about his motives yet?" You glance at the tall blonde in front of you.
"No, but I'm sure you have" He smirked, but in a dark way as if he knows what happened in the cell.
"Like I said, my power doesn't seem to work on him anymore" You said simply.
"Anyway, we have orders and we should follow them"
"Followings not really my style" Tony answered.
"And you're all about style aren't you?"
"Okayyy, I'm gonna leave you boys to do whatever the hell you're doing and I'm gonna rest up" You patted Tony on the shoulder and left for your room.
The walk to your room was long and you were able to think about the events that took place. Starting with the poems, the red string that connected you to Loki and then the kiss. Although it was short, you still felt the tenderness of his lips, they were soft and kind.
Once in, you sat at the edge of the bed and opened browser on your phone. You finally typed in about red string and found that it appears when soulmates are finally united. Then you realised, if you and Loki shared the same strand of red string, it meant you were...
The excruciating headaches returned and you screamed in pain. Then you heard the familiar voice call to you.
His raven hair, like midnight's cloak,
Frames a face with secrets spoke.
Fair features veiled in cunning disguise,
A master of chaos, with clever eyes.
A hue of green adorns his sly disguise,
A colour that holds secrets, worth the prize.
Like the lush grasses in a hidden grove,
Or the envy that fuels his plans, bold and rove.
The poem was longer than before and more descriptive. The headaches stopped and you heard yelling outside your door. Getting up slowly, you walked and opened it to see the guys and Nat standing there panicked.
"What's wrong?" You asked innocently.
"We heard you screaming, is everything okay agent?" Natasha asked as she checked your body like Steve had before.
"I'm fine, I just saw a spider. It's gone now though" It was the most logical answer you could come up with on the spot.
Everyone looked at you suspiciously, but all left anyway. You thought more on the new poem and you knew what the unspoken truth was. Loki was your soulmate and you are linked for eternity.

I just noticed kinda a huge plot hole in itsv that I don’t think I’ve seen anyone talk about ???
So Miles first meets Gwen before he gets his spider power which means it was before RIPeter died.
Maybe I’m wrong but the way that I always understood it was that the first collider test is the earthquake that one kid mentions to Miles while he’s walking to Visions and it’s also what brought the spider that bit Miles into the dimension.
But none of the spider-people get brought to Miles dimension until the the second test, which is when RIPeter is fighting Green Goblin and the Prowler and gets his head stuffed into the collider and that’s what brings all the spider-people to Miles dimension. I think it’s also confirmed when Gwen and Peter are introducing themselves that when they show up in Miles dimension RIPeter is already dead.
SO HOW DID GWEN GET HERE ???? LIKE ITS KINDA REALLY IMPORTANT??? Because if RIPeter wasn’t dead she could’ve gone to Spider-man to ask for help or something, and also she’s wearing half her spider suit under her visions uniform (the leggings and her pointe shoes) so like she has her spider suit she csn just go to Spider-man as Spider-woman, she also would’ve been able to help him shut down the collider.
Like ik her spider sense led her to visions or whatever but when she first lands in New York she sees the news report of Spider-man about “saving the day” so… ??
It wouldn’t really make sense for the first collider test to bring her to Miles dimension anyway? The spider makes sense bc I assume they were testing the collider on small animals and stuff but a PERSON?
Idk it’s just like weird time stuff. She says she was blown into last week so was she there for a week or was she just there for a couple of days? How many test runs were done on the collider and if there was more before the first one we hear about (the ‘earthquake’) why didn’t any of them result in it feeling like an earthquake? Also I think, if I remember correctly, in atsv we see Spot and Doc Ock working with like a mini collider so that might actually be how the spider got to Miles dimension but that STILL doesn’t answer how Gwen would’ve gotten to Miles dimension before anyone else?
Ok unhinged theory to explain this but, we see Gwen disguised as a worker at Alchemax later so maybe Miles-Universe-Gwen worked there and volunteered to be put in the collider for a test and THAT was the first real test that everyone thought was an earthquake and THATS how Spider-Gwen was brought to Miles dimension ?? 😭

Do the people want a Nerdy Prudes: Spiderverse AU?
I feel like the thing pretty much writes itself, but I cannot get this idea out of my head. I'll post what I have here and if even one person wants more I'll expand on it. (I'll probably do so anyways tbh)
So while it might feel obvious to make Peter Spiderman, I've decided to go in a different direction...kind of
Stephanie is pretty much Gwen Stacy. Her crush was supposed to be the one to get bit by the spider, but through a series of coincidences she is the one to get powers.
Peter is MJ. Obviously.
So there were a lot of options for Grace, but I decided to stay simple and go with Venom. Venom is Pokey here because I think that there's a lot of potential there. (Though Nibbly could also work.)
The LiB are still very much a thing. I feel like I don't have to reach that far to incorporate the web.
Max is still alive. While somewhat representing Flash, he's Grace's boyfriend in this! He carries her books and follows her like a little puppy.
Solomon would be the main antagonist for the first one. The Green Goblin parallels aren't hard to make, but I'd want to add my own twist on it.
Whatever universe this is happening in is 'wrong'. None of the canon events are going as expected.
Peter was supposed to sneak off during a field trip to CCRP. He'd forget his bag in one of the conference rooms, and then when he went back to get it the spider would bite him.
Stephanie notices that he forgot his bag, and wanting an excuse to keep talking to him, she goes to grab it for him.
Entire timeline is fucked up from here.
Instead of Max, Grace is the one to get 'infected' and becomes Venom.
While I probably won't bring in any Spiderverse characters, there's at least one version of Peter out there looking for a Stephanie that survives. Our Stephanie is the only one.
Ruth and Richie are obsessed with finding out Spiderwoman's identity for gross reasons.
Stephanie didn't tell Grace her identity, the girl walked in on her changing out of the suit after a fight.
Polycule endgame.
The universe keeps trying to kill Peter but he will not die.
Stephanie eventually gets parental figures that aren't awful through her powers. (It's Holloway and Duke.)
When Stephanie first realizes she has powers (it takes her a few days) she doesn't know what to do. That's where Peter comes in. He's a nerd, so he'd know how to start her superhero origin story.
Grace and Stephanie also have so much tension you guys have no idea.
There's a specific scene in my mind with Stephanie falling into Grace's arms unexpectedly and it'd work so well
Kind of an homage to the lunch tray scene in the first Spiderman movie

Hi 👋 I’ve got an idea for Norman Osborn where the female reader is Peter’s cousin or sister and he meets her at the Thanksgiving dinner and they get to know each other and he offers to drive her home and it ends in smut. If that is something you are into. Thank you 😊
I like this idea!!!
What I’m thankful for
Tumblr media
Warnings: fluff and smut
Y/n was waiting for her brother to arrive for the Thanksgiving dinner
She was helping Aunt May with bringing food out
“I hope my father shows up soon” Harry Osborn says to MJ who was focused on where Peter could possibly be at
Norman entered the house that Harry and Peter were sharing and had a present for Y/n since they haven’t met yet
Harry approached his father and MJ followed along so she could meet his father
Y/n and Aunt May were finally done with putting food out and May walked over towards Norman
Norman makes eye contact with Y/n and felt intrigued by her
She blushes since she really looked up to him and is always intrigued by whatever is going on in Oscorp and cause she has a crush on him as well
“Excuse me Harry and MJ, but I’d like to talk to who I can only assume is Y/n” everyone starts to look at her
She looks away and felt like running away
Aunt May did say a special guest was coming, but never told Y/n who it actually was
Harry and MJ move to the table and sat down
May backs up as Norman approaches Y/n
Once he was close enough he introduced himself
“And I’m assuming your Peter’s sister. Y/n, right?” Norman asked her and she just shook her head
“It’s a pleasure to finally meet you. I’ve heard a lot about you and how you’re a fan of my work. Didn’t know a beauty like you would like my work” he flirts which makes her face go completely red
“Oh well what can I say I get invested in very interesting subjects I suppose” she says with a low tone
“Maybe I should invite you to Oscorp one day… maybe I could get you a job there. But before we get too distracted on that conversation I bought you something” he says and then hands her the gift
She takes it and then smiles
“That’s very kind of you Mr Osborn” she says with her smile staying on her face
“Please just call me Norman honey” he says which makes her scream internally by the nickname he had just given her
“Father can you please stop flirting with Peter’s sister?” Harry asked almost in an annoyed tone
Norman looks at his son
Y/n had gone to sit down across from Harry
Aunt May tagged along and sat next to her
“I think he likes you Y/n” Aunt May whispered to her which makes Y/n look at her present
“Maybe” Y/n says as Norman was telling Harry how he should let his father be happy for him since Y/n really likes him
Norman now goes to sit next to Y/n
She looks at him and he looks at her
“Can I open this now?” She asked him and he nods his head
Y/n’s attention was now on the present
“Where is Peter at?” May asked as Y/n continued to open the present
They all (except for Y/n and Norman) had went to check Peter’s bedroom
Once she was finished unwrapping it, there was a note on it
‘I thought this would suit you’ signed by Norman
She takes the note off and then opens the box
Inside of it was a Green Goblin mask
“What…?” She says and looks at him
She hears them coming back, so she closes the box
“He’s not here” May says which makes Norman worried about him
“I hope he’s okay” Norman says and Y/n nods her head in agreement
“Well on a different topic what did my father get you Y/n?” Harry asked which makes her bite the inside of her cheek
“I got her a necklace that she doesn’t want to put on right now since she thinks it’ll be rude to show it off” Norman says which makes Harry confused
“You wouldn’t mind if Y/n showed off her necklace right MJ?” Harry asked his girlfriend
“I wouldn’t mind at all” MJ says and Y/n didn’t know what to say
“She’ll show you later, right Y/n?” Norman asked her
Y/n nods her head as Peter enters the house finally
She looks at her brother and immediately gets up to hug him
“I was so worried about you Pete!” She says as she continues to hug her little brother
Norman had gotten up too and was standing next to Y/n
“Well I see you two have finally met” Peter says which makes Y/n look at Norman
Norman looks at her and now he was grinning
Green Goblin had taken over for a hot second since he wanted her
“Is there something I missed?” Peter asked the two of them which makes them both look back at him
“Nope!” Y/n says and then goes back to sit down
Norman sits down too
Peter had sat next to Aunt May
They had said Grace and then started to eat
Y/n was chatting with Norman until May asked Peter what happened to his wrist
That caught both of their attention especially Norman’s
Peter told Aunt May what was the cause of it
Y/n knew Peter was lying especially since she was watching the news before everyone arrived
“I have to go…” she says and then stood up
“Same. I got a lot of work to do” Norman says as he stands up
“Oh okay” May says as Y/n goes to the elevator
Norman followed along
Whilst they were going down the elevator, Norman looks at her
“What do I do? My bother is Spiderman” she asked him and then looks at him
“Show him who’s the better sibling. He has powers while your over here powerless” Green Goblin had gotten into the light now
“Haven’t you ever been jealous of him?” Goblin asked her and she nods her head
“Well now’s the time to get your revenge” Goblin continues once the elevator doors open
Y/n never wanted to hurt her brother, but she was really considering it for the man she likes
“Will you give me time to think about it?” He smiles and nods his head as they stepped out of the elevator
Once they we’re out of the elevator Norman had come back to the light and asked her if she needed a ride home
“I do actually” he smiles and now they were both walking out of the house
His ride was waiting for him at the front of the house
Once he was in front of the limo, he opens the door for her
“Thanks Norman” she says as she enters the car
She sat down and once Norman was in he closed the door and then sat next to her
Y/n was looking at him and now his hand was on her thigh
His hand tightened on her thigh which makes her feel wet
“Fuck me” she muttered but of course Norman heard her
“I’ll fuck you hard Y/n” he says and then moves the box from her lap and then kisses her roughly on the lips
A moan escapes her mouth and he quickly pulls apart afterwards
“But you’ll have to wait until we get to your house” Norman says and then she tells the driver where she lives
Once they’ve arrived to her house, Norman had opened the door for her after he had gotten out first
“Thank you sir” she says which makes him smirk
She gets out of the limo and Norman wasted no time to let her get fully out since he had picked her up bridal style and his lips were on hers
The limo almost went off once the driver had noticed she had left her box in there
He rolls down his window and turns to face her not knowing their was a make out session going on with her and Norman
The driver quickly looks away because he didn’t want to upset Norman
“Um ma’am you left your box in here” The driver starts which makes her and Norman pull  apart
“Oh oops” she says as Norman puts her back down and she opens the door to get it
luckily it wasn’t too far from the door, so she reaches to get it
once the box was back in her hands she shuts the door and then looks back at Norman
“Sorry” she says which makes him smile and say ‘no need to apologize sweetheart.’
She goes to her door and he follows along
She gets her keys from her pocket and then unlocked the door
Once she was inside, she gets picked up again by Norman
He places the box down on the tiled floor and now he was more focused on her
“Where’s your room at?” he asked her and she said to the right
there was a hallway that lead to her room which is where Norman took her right away
Once they were in her room, she was placed down onto her bed and he starts to strip
She starts stripping as well
This didn’t feel real to her since she’s dreamt about this day ever since she started to hear about him
Once she was naked, she starts touching herself which makes him stare at her once he was fully naked
Her head rolls back and her eyes were at the back of her head already
“Norman” She moans out and he couldn’t take it anymore
“Stop” he orders which makes her stop and take her finger out of her pussy
“Let daddy take care of you honey” he says which makes her smile
He gets onto the bed and then comes onto her
Their lips connect and his cock goes in her whilst they kiss
Her lips left his lips once his cock was inside of her
“Fuck” she moans and he grins as he starts to thrust
Y/n’s hands go onto his back and his hands go onto the sheets
Goblin had came into the light now which makes him start going faster and hitting her sensitive spots
Her head rolls back and she continues to moan and she also felt like she was on a  different planet now
“Such a good girl for daddy” Goblin says which makes her smirk for a second
“Only for you sir” she says and then moans which makes him smirk
“You’ll look so hot in the suit. We’ll be matching and both taking on Spiderman’ Goblin says and she felt her walls clenching around his cock already
“You’ll be my partner in crime quite literally” he says as she came all over his cock now
Goblin grins and continues to thrust into her pussy which makes the cum go out of her and onto the bed
“Goblin” she moans which makes him continue to grin
“Louder” he orders and then she says his name louder
“Good girl” he praises and then kisses her on the lips as he continues to fuck her
He felt his orgasm coming now which makes him moan her name
He came now filling her up and also letting Norman in the light
He pulls out and then lays down next to her
they were both sweating and just a mess because of the cum being everywhere
They just started to lay there in silence which neither of them minded at all
“Wait... that would mean I’d have to kill my brother...” she says breaking the silence
“Yep! Also think about it, he gets all the attention while you are sat here without any powers  and any fame. This will give you that” he says which makes her smile
“I’ll do it. We’ll kill him, but let me be the one to do it since he’s my brother I’ll be able to manipulate him better since I know him better” He smirks and then faces his body towards her
She faces her body towards him and she kisses him on the lips
He returns the kiss with a smile now on his face
Once they pulled apart he realizes how much he really likes her
And if Peter kills her... Well let’s just say things won’t end well for Peter

Beejie's Hearty Panties
Beetlejuice x (Gender Neutral) Reader
Warning: Fluff, NSFW super cringy and nonsensical. BAD WRITING I NEVER SAID I COULD WRITE.
So, we had a discussion of Beej's underwear on the discord channel out of the blue. Starting with @beetled-juice stating that he hc that if Beej (rarely) wears underwear it'd be stripped boxers much like his suit and me adding that I personally headcanon he has 3 kinds of boxers:
1. Striped ratty ones
2. Ones with little green beetles as a pattern
3. One with sandworms/sandy
(and ToonJuice would have one of those cheesy white with red hearts ones)
Later he suggested that MusicalJuice has this heart boxers but they changed color along with his hair and I was possessed by the inspo goblin out of nowhere and wrote... Whatever this is...
Note: I wrote it in a haze. Idk what this is or what I wrote and it may not make sense or be ooc, also I'm not good at writing smut/have never done it before (so I may or may not polish it and finish it) but the inspo gremlin possessed me and I entered a trance of writing for the past half hour and now you guys have this
Usually when it's really hot outside he'll cuddle you either by spooning you or resting your head against his chest.
And before this he will usually strip himself down to his boxers to keep you cool against his skin. He will either wear only boxers and be completely shirtless or maybe wear an oversized shit you gave him.
One time he did jokingly try to strip himself down completely (hoping to run his dick against you or just to be as close to you as possible) and yes he's a very sexual being, but... And DON'T TELL LYDS ABOUT THIS BUT... HE CAN BE SOFT TOO AND JUST WANT REGULAR CUDDLES SOMETIMES!!!
So for your sake and the sake of just wanting cuddles he will usually wear at the very least his boxers when he cuddles you. ("See Babs? I CAN be a gentleman!!!! >:(" - Beej).
~~besides, in any case that he got horny there can be something incredibly erotic about something constricting him~~
Anyways!
It was a night like this sometime ago that you first saw them.
You didn't know what you were expecting to find underneath his stripped suit the first time he striped himself down to his underwear to cuddle you. Maybe, some equally ratty and stripped boxers? Maybe absolutely nothing other than his dick like the perv he was?
And true, over time you did encounter those two things... Unsurprisingly... ("am I that predictable????" UnU).
And over time you also learned that he had a thing for boxers with patterns, you supposed he found them comforting? You recall once seeing him wearing boxers with a printed pattern of little green beetles (which you found adorable) and another time with a pair of boxers with sandworms.
(Where he got those very specific boxers you had no idea).
But the last thing you were expecting him to wear one night was STEREOTYPICAL CHEESY WHITE PANTIES WITH RED HEARTS... well not quite, the hearts were black, but they were cheesy panties nonetheless.
He caught you staring at them dumbfounded when he had first wore them in front of you.
"Like what you see, baby?"
You were still unable to talk from the shock and from trying not to laugh.
"I bet you'll like what's underneath even more, wink wink" (yes he said wink wink like the dork he is)
He said wriggling his eyebrows at you trying to look suggestive but failing and looking like a total dork instead, and you could hold it back no longer.
You burst out laughing from how ridiculous this was.
"What, can't the ghost with the most express how he feels about his little breather through his underwear?"
He started to walk towards you doing a super dorky dance.
"STOOOOP" you said trying to contain the laughter, and throwing a pillow at him. However that didn't deter him and soon he was on top of you laying little pecks all across your face and rubbing his beard across your cheek while tickling you and laughing as well.
After that the laughter eventually died out and you two settled down in bed ready to sleep (not before calling him a dork and he kissed you goodnight!). And that was that. You never payed heed to those boxers after that. He wore them a few times after but that was it...
Or so you thought.
It had been a while since that occurrence. In fact you almost forgot he even owned those boxers!
That was until one fateful night when you were cuddling in the couch and watching some random movie you both decided to put on.
You were laying on top of him, your head resting on his chest, running your fingers through his chest hair, his shirt slightly unbottoned, his sleeves rolled up, ~~how he knew you liked it~~ and his suit's blazer long forgotten, discarded somewhere else.
At some point you looked up at him.
He was engrossed with the movie and either running his fingers softly through your hair, almost massaging your head, or rubbing you back.
There was something about how peaceful he looked and how sexy handsome he was just laying there, like that.
And when you moved to adjust yourself, accidently grinding against his crotch there was something in the way he groaned that you couldn't ignore.
One thing led to another and before you knew it you were both making out on the couch and undressing each other.
You ran your fingers over him slowly caressing him and trying to kiss every spot of his body before reaching his pants.
You even left a few bites on his tummy.
You decided to follow his happy trail as you unbottoned his pants and that's when you saw them.
You took his pants down to get a better look (and he kicked them off him).
It was the same heart boxers he had worn before.
But something was different.
The hearts were now a bright pink not to mention the bulge under them.
You were a bit confused at first... Did he have more than one pair of heart panties? If do why hadn't you seen them?
Until it dawned on you
You went back to kissing his tummy paying special attention to his happy trail.
While he wriggled under you and whimpered desperately. All his body hair by now a mix of magenta and bright pink.
And when you slowly slid the boxers down ~~earning you more desperate whimpers and the ocasional "please babes"~~ you confirmed your theory that the hearts in the boxers had changed color to now match the pink of his bushy hair below.
Who would've thought even his underwear changed according to his mood? ❤️

18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
YOU WILL BE BLOCKED
warnings: Green Goblin, talk of supervilliany (not exactly specific but it’s there), swearing
“Norman?” I asked as I walked into the lab. “Are you here?” It was eerily quiet. Turning around, I took in what projects were being kept in the room. I raised my eyebrow at the mechanical arms that I just knew belonged to Dr. octavius. Why it was in Norman’s lab I didn’t know. In the spot next to it, the project was missing. “The glider.” I muttered out as I turned towards the paperwork laying all over Norman’s desk.
‘Project Terminated’ was stamped across the file for the super soldier serum. Rolling my eyes, I put it to the side. As if anyone could come up with a replacement for the serum that made Steve Rodgers into Captain America. I pulled out the file that I was looking for and frowned. There was another ‘Project Terminated’ on the file.
“What?” Flipping through it, I noticed the military’s notes on how they could improve the glider. Going to the back of the file, I found Norman’s thoughts on the suggestions. “Nevermind then.” Looking up at the empty slot, I picked up the phone on the desk. “Otto?”
“Norman?” The man on the other end answered.
“No it’s (Y/N). Norman’s not in his lab and the glider is gone.”
“Could there be a flight? That could explain both being gone.”
“As far as I know there was no test flight today. And I found the file…”
“Terminated. Norman mentioned it to me yesterday.” I nodded even though he couldn’t see me.
“Yep. Along with the serum. Based off the notes from both the military and Norman it makes sense.”
“But it doesn’t explain why the two are missing. Maybe try calling him. He’s always going to pick up for you. I’ve seen it happen.” I let out a laugh. “If you see Norman let him know that I’ll need the arms for a test run tomorrow.”
“Thanks Otto. I’ll let know when I see him.” I hung up the phone and dug out my own from my pocket. I found his contact and waited for him to pick up. The ringing kept going. “Come on Norman. Pick up. Pick up the phone.” It went to voicemail. “Dammit.” There was a beep and I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. “Hey Norman it’s me. When you get this…Norman!” I had turned around and saw Norman standing in the doorway, glider and flight suit in his hands. I hung up and ran over. He dropped everything to hug me when we met.
“What are you doing here? I thought you had gone home for the night.” He asked into my hair. I pulled away from him and smiled.
“I was hoping we could head home together.” I furrowed my eyebrows as I ran a hand over the flight suit. “What’s with this? I called Otto. There wasn’t a test…”
“No. No test.” Norman awkwardly shuffled away from me. “I uh I just uh took it.” He started to put the glider back where it belonged and turned towards me. “Listen there’s something I need to tell you.” He walked over and put his hands on my shoulders. “Sometimes…sometimes I’m not myself. I’m someone else.” I put my hands on his arms and nodded.
“Ok.” He furrowed his eyebrows at my comment and shook his head. “What does that mean?” By the look on Norman’s face, it wasn’t anything good. “Hey. Hey. Look at me. It’s ok. Whatever it is, we’ll get through it together.” I moved my hand up to his face. Norman leaned into it.
“The accident. That happened here. A few days ago. It was me. I took the serum.” My eyes went wide and Norman started talking before I could say anything. “Our funding was going to get pulled. And I thought if I could show it worked we’d get it back. But it went wrong. I don’t remember what happened exactly. I just remember waking up at home and hearing this…” Norman gestured to his head. “Voice. It’s like mine but…unhinged. Keeps telling me to do things. Terrible things. The board…Spiderman…anyone that gets in my way…” Norman trailed off. His eyes went unfocused before zoning back in. His grip tightened on me. His head tilted away from my hand and I pulled it back.
“Norman…” a cold laugh replaced the one I normally heard. The one I loved.
“Norman’s on sabbatical honey.” I grit my teeth and took a small step back with my left foot. “I have a different name.”
“The green goblin.” I said. Norman’s eyes glinted in the low light.
“Exactly.” He leaned forward until he was in my face. “And don’t you forget it. Now are you going to get in my way, or should I make Norman add you to his list of guilty feelings?” I shook my head. “Good little thing.” Tilting my head, I brought my fists down on Norman’s forearms and jumped back as he let go. “You little shit.” I smirked at him before I landed a kick to his chest. He flew back into the desk and hit his head.
“Norman calls me a little tiger.” I spat. I could see the Goblin still hanging on. “Nighty night.” I landed another kick as he tried to get up, this time making him hit his head so hard he passed out. Kneeling down, I checked his pulse before sighing and pressing a kiss to his forehead. “Oh Norman. What did you do?” Quickly tying him up, I picked up the phone again. “Hey Otto? It’s me again. I need a little help.”

6 -- Fucked Up Kicks
The man rushes across the walkway and into the bathroom, he locks the door and stares at himself in the mirror. "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck I fucked up. Fucking shit..."
"Tony?" a soft knock echoed through the room.
"Not here. Go away."
The person knocks again, "Tony, it's Bucky. What happened?"
"Nothing happened. Go. Away." Tony leans against the wall opposite the door and sighs, "Leave me alone."
"Tony, Peter and Natasha came and found me. They said to come to find you."
"Why."
"That wasn't a question but they said that it's because you talked to Peter and then ran off."
"Did they say what I said?"
"No. But Sam and Steve are on their way up here if you don't come out. We will pick the lock."
"Like hell, you will! Leave me the hell alone. I'm going home."
"Whatever, Tony. We aren't done talking about this." Bucky's voice fades, and Tony's shoulders drop.
"He called me art, Nat," Peter confesses later that night. The clock has rolled 5 am and the party downstairs is winding down.  He lays diagonal across the white wood four-poster bed's duvet, the pink silk doing nothing to calm him as it usually does.
"Do you want Tiffany?" Natasha offers the pink and purple bunnybear to the boy, who opens his arms and holds the toy to his chest.
"Thank you. But what do I do with that information? Like you can't call someone art and then just run off into the bathroom and hide from your problems."
"Peter, I can't tell you what he meant by that any more than he can. I am not Tony Stark nor do I claim to know what is going on in that man's head." She smooths the black silk of her dress underneath herself as she sits on the bed next to him.
"The only person who can tell you what Tony means is Tony, Peter," Loki states simply, from their place against Peter's white wood dresser. They adjust their black and green suit jacket and approach the bed. "There is nothing any of us can say that will make this an easier pill to swallow. You have to talk to Tony."
"No. I'm not going to look desperate."
"Peter you've been desperate since day 1," Gwen states from the floor.
"She's right," Loki says, shrugging, "I'm going back downstairs."
"Me too. If you want to know what he meant, ask him, Peter." Natasha rises and follows Gwen, Loki, and MJ out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
The next day is agony for Peter. He looks for Tony everywhere he should be and can't find him. He looks back at Tony's seat, hoping Bucky will walk in and sit next to it. Peter sighs, wondering where the punk could be.
Tony's never leaving his room again. He can't ever face Peter again. What does the boy think of him? He's such a fucking fool. Why did he ever think that Peter would feel the same as him? He knew he was out of Peter's league, but not this badly.
"Tony, you have to leave the house. You can't just live here." Bucky states, standing over his bed.
"Bucky, that's the point of a bedroom. To live in it." Tony sighs and curls deeper under the blankets. "What do you expect, me to just go to class and pretend I didn't do anything wildly stupid and make a major fool of myself? Do you expect me to pretend like I did nothing wrong?"
"You can't just hide here. I expect you to be dressed by the time I come back."
"No promises," Tony calls to the fading voice, hearing the door close. He rolls over, glancing at the robot pieces all over his room.
He dwells for only a few minutes longer before rolling out of bed, making it haphazardly and changing into jeans and a Def Leppard tee. He frowns disapprovingly at his mismatched socks and plugs in his amp. "Gods, what am I doing? I haven't played since High School." Tony picks up his bass and plugs it into the amp. He strums a few frets, unsure how his notes will come out.
Before long, Tony's lost in the music, his fingers are bleeding, and the music surrounds him, drowning out his singing.

What are some of Spiderfiend's enemies that you haven't talked about yet?
Oh that's a good question actually I haven't mentioned Fiend in a while!
So Spiderfiend currently has three major enemies that are gonna be part of three separate story arcs (hypothetical story arcs mind you I don't plan on doing anything with this at the moment). I don't have it all like ironed out but here's a pretty simple breakdown of the three main ones:
The first one is Doctor Octopus (Doc Ock for short), her real name being Odelia Octavius, who just so happens to be a) the founder of Ock Tech and b) Prince's adoptive mother. She is specifically the founder of Ock Tech she doesn't technically work there anymore but she kinda pops in from time to time (she has a secret lab/base whatever there). She also just so happens to be the person who created the modified spider that bit Fiend. When Spiderfiend first started showing up she immediately suspected that it was her spider that must have bit them because not only did his powers match some of the ones that she had been researching with the spider (stuff like increased agility and accelerated healing) but also she had gotten reports from her close lab partner that the spider was missing.
As for her role in the story she is ultimately Spiderfiend's main enemy, and it like a huge presence in all three arcs for obvious reasons. I don't have any major plot points like set for her yet, but I've got like... vague ideas. As for if she knows who Fiend is, the short answer is yes she is aware. Yes she still doesn't hold back when fighting him. Yes she loves him. It's pretty damn complicated 💀
The second one and probably the most fleshed out one and the one I'm most excited about is Mysterio! Mysterio becomes Prince's main enemy in either arc 1 or 2 depending on how they go. His real name is currently the same as the comics, Quentin Beck, and he's a VFX artist turned chemistry teacher. When he starts out as Mysterio he's just stealing stuff for the sake of it (he's a very arrogant guy and believes to be a master of the arts who should be respected and feared) but as he encounters Fiend he becomes more and more obsessed with fighting him and becoming a real threat not too dissimilar to the Spot now that I think about it.
Once he finds out that Fiend is actually using the power of a demon he seeks out a demon to make a pact with so he can finally match him in terms of power. The demon he seeks out is a rival of Mordred, Prince's demon buddy, currently named Mephisto but that could change. Mephisto specializes in illusion which suits Mysterio perfectly ofc. The reason why I picked Mysterio to be one of Prince's main villains is because I thought of all the classic Spiderman villains Mysterio would really lend himself to a demon powered foe? If that makes sense? Basically my brother suggested I should have the villains be powered/be actual demons and I really liked the idea so that's what's happening here. With Mysterio's new powers he's a much more powerful threat and he uses it to really mess with Prince's head :] literally makes him lose his mind :] which ends in fun times :]
The final one then is of course Norman Osborn aka Green Goblin. I kinda felt I had to include him because he's so cool and iconic! Like Mysterio he is gonna have demon powers as well but my idea for him is that unlike Prince and Mysterio who channel their respective demon buddies powers, Norman straight up fuses with his to become the Green Goblin (then he can like switch between forms). I have some ideas about him but I'll keep them to myself for now, just cause I'm still unsure about them.

peter and harry grew up together up until peter was 10 and harry was 11 ish. they were so close. when richard and mary passed, harry was right there to help peter figure it out bc peter was only, what, 8 years old? these children had to deal with such an incredible loss at such a young age. now in the tasm timeline they never say explicitly what happened to harrys mother, but in other canon she got sick and passed when harry was really young, so thats my canon. i think that mrs osborn was an incredible mother for harry, but it wasnt enough. and then she got sick and distant, and she passed, and harry pretended not to care. it was easier for him that way. then harry was sent away to boarding school when he was 11, and then he bounced around from country to country until he was 20. the only reason he came back to new york was because mr osborn was dying of retroviral hyperplasia, "the osborn curse", which harry has started to show symptoms of. also norman didnt tell harry this was genetic until he was already showing signs of having it, just gonna throw that out there. so harry comes back, his dads dead, he takes over this incredibly expensive company all on his own, and then in walks his childhood best friend that he hasnt seen in nearly ten years. and harrys scared at first, he doesnt know how to respond. peter comes and apologizes about harrys father, says he understands what its like and hes always gonna be there for whatever harry needs. he goes to leave, but harry stops him with a joke. harry jokes first, and the ice breaks. theyre right back to where they were years ago, like nothing changed. they spend the day walking around town, joking and catching up and just being together for the first time in years. then the next day, harry finally tells peter he's sick over the phone. peter goes to oscorp to check in on him, and this is when harry says that he thinks spidermans blood will cure him, bc of the self heal aspect of it. of course, peters incredibly wary, and he says that he'll try to get ahold of spiderman to help him. harry basically made him promise, because he doesnt want to end up sick and alone and dying. like his father. harrys continuously getting worse and worse but peter has other things going on, with electro out and trying to figure things out with gwen. harrys discovering secrets about oscorp but they dont like that, so hes fired. now, harry goes to team up to electro, and he basically considers peter an enemy at this point, because in his eyes peter turned him down and refused to save his life when all he had to do was get spiderman. so harry and electro team up now, so harry can get spidermans blood, then electro can do what he wants with him afterward. harry eventually figures out that they kept the venom of the spiders that turned peter into spiderman, so he has one of the staff bring him down there and inject him with it. thats whats starts the green goblin transition. theres a split second after the injection where harrys shaking stops. the pain is gone. his head is quiet. hes finally healthy. but somethings wrong. his body starts to change, he's dying at an incredibly faster pace now. his last hope is to desperately crawl to one of the suits in the room, which enables bodily regulation so hes able to function and be stable. peter finishes off his boss battle with electro while this is happening, he kills him, and hes talking to gwen about going to leave before he hears laughter and the glider engines circling above him. harry finally reveals himself, and he looks sickly. he looks incredibly ill and frail, but hes grinning wildly. peter asks him "harry...what did you do?" and harry just grins wider and replies "what you made me do. you were my friend and you betrayed me." peter claims that he was just trying to help and be the good guy, but harrys not buying it. harry says that peter pretends to give people hope, but he just takes it away, so now hes gonna take away peters. before peter can respond, harry has gwen and hes in the air, hovering for a bit before dropping into the clocktower.
peter goes after them and tries to catch her but has no luck, just hanging her with a web for now while he fights with harry. they fight before harrys knocked unconscious, and all of the cogs and dials of the clocktower fall apart. gwen falls, and peter immediately goes after her but shes too late. gwen hits the ground before peter can get to her, and she dies. now we dont see harry again until after her funeral, but hes been detained in ravencroft. he talks about building a team, which is alluded to be the sinister six team that wouldve been in the third movie if it hadnt been canceled. and im so mad that i was canceled.

The Moon’s Favorite (5/?)
Maria glanced at the new recruit at the other side of the guild, then got up from her table and walked over to his. She stood about 5 inches taller than him and her unimpressive chainmail and leather coat seemed almost luxurious compared to his sad, oversized suit which seemed to be covered in dog fur.
He looked up from his mug of ale, which he'd previously been practically drowning himself in, to meet Maria’s gaze, then backed the rest of glass, and asked, “Are you lost?”
“I was about to ask you the same thing, rookie.”
“Rookie definitely is not the right word, but I guess it fits; we’ve never officially been part of an adventurer’s guild.”
“Well then rookie it is. I’m Maria Mazelina, and you look like you could use a party, and we’re down an adventurer. Whaddya say?”
“Oh god, anything but a party. I hate parties. Too many people to worry about.”
“That’s sounding’ like quitter talk mister. Who knows, maybe this party’ll change your mind.”
“You know what, fine, I’ll bite. The name’s Anderson, please call me Anders, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Alright Mr. Anders, the rest of our party’s sittin’ right on over there. I’m sure they’ll love ya.”
Maria led Anders to her table, where the 3 other members of their party sat. Maria pointed to the tall knight in a deep red armor. “That’s Slayer, we call them that cuz we don’t actually know their name. In fact, they almost never say anything to us, but they’ve been a part of this party the longest.” Maria then pointed to a man of Dragon’s Descent, with green scaled skin. “That one there is Gail, he’s the son of a mistake and a Poison Dragon, but is reliable in a pinch,” Gail gave Anders a sincere wave, “and that,” continued Maria, pointing to the Insekt, “is our good ol’ buggy boy Vendrick. He’ll give ya the heebie jeebies one second, and the best damn back massage you ever had in your life the next.” Vendrick shot finger guns at Anders with two of his six arms as the other four were preoccupied with knitting a sort of scarf with a webbed pattern. “An’ finally, there’s me,” said Maria, “I am the leader of this rag tag group of shitheads, and am formally inviting you to join our party.”
After a moment of silence, Anders spoke, “That was perhaps the worst introduction to a group of people I have ever heard anyone give, ever. We're in.”
After much rejoicing at the party’s table, Vendrick asked, “Anders, what do you do?” To which Anders replied, “Well I’ve dedicated my life to researching the origins of magic, and as such I’ve dabbled in a bit of alchemy, so I’ll probably be the most useful as a supportive alchemist.”
“Sick, dude,” said Vendrick, “last alchemist we had was actually 3 goblins in a trench coat who tried to steal all our shit. I'm not saying i think you’re 3 goblins, I’m just sayin’ you’ve got the outfit for it.”
“Well you’ve called me over, and introduced us to your party. I assume you did so because your party was about to go on a job, didn’t have a fourth member, and a new rookie with no friends just walked on in?” Anders asked Maria.
“Well,” said Maria, “yeah, that’s exactly it. We’re headed to Marccina to see if we can find anything worth salvaging. Some people say that what ever did it is still there, but we’ll be fine. Whatever did do it, man or beast, is probably long gone.”
Three days, and a couple close encounters with thieves and monsters, later, Maria’s party arrived at Marccina’s closed gates. In front stood two Knights of the Queen.
One of the Knights stepped towards the party, and claimed, “Woah there, travelers! Beyond lies the ruins of the city of Marccina. The Queen has decreed the city safe only for those well trained and equipped. State your business!”
Maria quickly responded, saying, “We are adventurers of the Ynsdryth Guild. We ask that we be admitted entrance into Marccina to assure the city’s security and eliminate or otherwise drive out any thief or monster living within.”
“Well, I’ll be damned. It’s been 4 months and you’re the first party to decide to wander the streets in the name of the security of the kingdom. You must either be brave or crazy.”
“I’m afraid it’s the latter, good Knight.”
“Well then, the Queen has said nothing about the sanity of those who enter, only the preparedness. You may proceed.”
Gail leaned towards Maria and said, “Maria that is the most enunciated and formal I’ve ever heard you say anything.”
Maria retorted, “Well don’t get used to it hun. All I know is that them knights of the kingdom prefer speakin’ in their ‘formal dialect.’”
As Maria finished her thought, the heavy wooden doors that act as the only way in and out of Marccina’s tall stone walls groaned open, and presented a scene of rotten corpses and dried blood. As Maria’s party walked in, the knights closed the gates behind them, and were told to open them once more when they heard a knock from the other side, else they could assume the party dead.
As the party wandered the streets filled with dead, motionless corpses and blood stuck to the cobblestone paving, Vendrick started conversation.
“So, y’all uh, think this was some sort of ultra violent monster or large group of bandits or maybe it’s-”
“It’s close.” interjected Slayer, which took everyone in the party by surprise. Anders hadn’t heard the knight speak in the 4 or so days he’s known them, but Gail, Vendrick, and Maria, who’d been traveling with them for perhaps years seemed mortified. Maria turned to Anders and said, “In the 5 years I’ve adventured with Slayer, they’ve only ever spoken twice before. Once, on the day I met ‘em, they’d appeared on my ship after escaping from a pocket dimension they were dragged into by a Sea Bohemoth, an’ they said, ‘Hello,’ and the second was when we encountered a Demon who’d been summoned by cultists, an’ they yelled, ‘Run.’ I think we’ve got a lot more to worry about than squatters or bandits.”
Anders was equally as shocked as Maria, but for far different reasons. As the implications of Slayer’s words had time to sink in, Prometheus chimed into their shared headspace, saying, “Deephall, I fear this Slayer fellow may be onto us. If this gets too dicey, I'll have to make sure we don't have a party anymore."
As night fell over Marccina, the party found an alleyway to sleep in, and as they were about to settle, Vendrick crawled down from a roof, telling news of a tavern two blocks down. There the party would be able to at least avoid sleeping on the ground. As the party approached the tavern, the building on the opposite side of the road caught everyone's eye. A house directly in front of the tavern with the words, "Hello, Deephall" scratched deep into the building. Maria opened the tavern’s front door to find a scene seemingly 10 times worse than anything they'd seen outside. The bodies were torn apart, limb from limb, and the stone floor was a deep crimson from the blood that had been spilt. Gail, in an attempt to lighten the mood said, "Well at least whoever slept here the night or the Massacre must have been relieved when they didn't have to pay for their room."
Suddenly, Slayer drew their sword, and looked about confused for a while, then spoke, for the second time that day.
"Anders, you were here once."
Prometheus thought to Anders, "Alright, thats enough of that, I'll-" to which Anders thought back, "No, please, allow me to attempt to deescalate."
Anders spoke to Slayer, saying, "That is correct, we've been here, but that was about a day before," Anders gestured around, "whatever happened here, or out there, happened."
Maria pitched into the conversation, asking, "Anderson, why do you keep sayin' that?"
"Saying what?"
"'We.' You say 'we' instead of 'I' when talkin' about yourself."
"Well you see, we- I- uh- shit…"
Anders raised his arms, and began backing up. Slayer's sword was trained on Anders, and Maria had pulled out her revolver. Gail had armed himself with a knife and Vendrick had grabbed and smashed an empty bottle from behind the bar’s counter. The party surrounded Anders. He spoke aloud and clearly, saying, "Alright, I give up, I tried, I failed. You're up!"
Gail was going to ask Anders what he'd meant, but was swiftly answered as Anders' form began to disfigure itself. His figure became more imposing, and his demeanor of became that of something ready to kill for sport. Vendrick, after a tense moment, said, "Oh… I get it. The suit wasn't made for him, it was made for that thing!"
"Thing? You dare to call me a thing," questioned Prometheus. "I promise you now bug, I will be the last 'thing' you will ever see."

He deserves to die after what he did to you. And I’ll bring it to him. (peter @ gwen)
the freshly purpling, large fingerprint bruises marks scattered around her pale skin hurt like someone crushed every bone in her wrists. that’d been a parting gift from harry osborn, now known entirely as green goblin. their former best friend is dead. there's nothing to bring back of him. if anything, with her death on the clock tower, his behavior has gotten worse. green goblin had been understandably shocked at the reveal of gwen being alive. he’d been rough with her, hissing & snapping his fangs as he snarled out insults against peter & gwen herself, calling her a walking corpse. he’d kill her a second time in front of peter, but he’d torture her slowly, first. but the physical pain she’s in is nothing compared to the feeling of horror she’d had feeling while helplessly watching the fight between the two. harry was essentially frothing at the mouth whilst trying to kill her again & peter was donning a new black suit she hadn’t seen before, eerily silent as he fought & ruthless. she’s never seen him act like that before.
it was scary.
she pulls her battered wrists away from him, careful as she reaches up to flick her hair behind her shoulder. she flinches because even that simple action hurts. gwen kind of feels like a walking bruise, body aching with every beat of her heart. she’s exhausted in the way where she can feel the tiredness in her bones, but she’s relieved he’s okay. whatever darkness been consuming peter is gone - for now. he’s been different lately. angrier. darker. it worries her, kai & emile.
she stills when he speaks, concern flaring up across her features, his cold, serious words causing her to frown slightly. she’s been resurrected for about two months now, & those two months have been good — she’s with peter & her other boyfriends & girlfriends ( the latter is a new thing to her, but she loves them all very much ), still kind of getting readjusted with the whole ‘being alive’ thing. very early on in her resurrection, she’d suggested that she could try to find a job, but emile gently provided an alternative, citing concerns over the fact that she’d been… away for seven years, & showing herself in public like that would pose a glaring risk to herself concerning spider-man’s enemies.
given the traumatic experience she just went through, she thinks he was right.
❝ pete, no. ❞ gwen murmurs, shaking her head gently & gingerly reaching forward to place her hands on his shoulders. harry green goblin hadn’t hurt her face too badly, but there’s a thin cut on her face, starting at just below her ear & trailing all the way to her chin. she shifts her weight on the couch, leaning against him slightly. on top of that & the bruises on her shoulders ( from being thrown into a wall to silence her ) & wrists from being grabbed, there’s a very obvious handprint around her throat. it kind of hurts to talk loud or inhale too deeply, so she’s keeping her voice at a murmur. ❝ please, please don’t go down that road. it’s exactly what he wants. he wants to prove to himself that you’re just as bad as he is. he wants you to fight him. you can’t give him the satisfaction, okay? ❞ it’s why he took gwen in the first place: to make peter angry enough to fight him. ❝ i know you, probably better than you know yourself. i know i was… away, for a while, but killing him isn’t the answer. ❞ gwen continues. with that, she leans forward, planting a gentle kiss to her boyfriend’s cheek. the blonde doesn’t hesitate before swinging her leg over his body & pulling herself up onto his lap, her hands moving up from his shoulders to cup his face gently. she runs her thumbs across his cheeks, hazel eyes meeting his brown eyes. ❝ i’m… not sure what’s going on with you lately, but i love you, peter parker. with every single fibre of my being. ❞

I saw you where seeking requests from people, so here I am >:D
I can't get this one prompt out of my head. I need someone to make something of it for me. Obviously a Doc Ock x Mute! Hero! reader, I don't care for gender. I am very iffy with Goblin, he's all scrungly and crusty unlike dear Otto, so no norman. Plus I just had to request for the octopus man with the pretty eyes.
prompt in question is below 🔽
“You can’t just keep using the *I don’t like talking* excuse, hero. I know I told you I enjoy a good monologue every now and then, but… You aren’t actually mute, right? Because… I mean, if you are, I can learn sign language to make this work…”
I don't think I'm forgetting anything, let me know if I forgot to add something to my request, thanks in advance!
hi sorry this took so long I had a virus on my computer so i couldn't write for a few days. anyways i hope this is what you wanted!!
warnings: none
word count: 876
It was an uneventful night for you being one of New York’s many heroes- or vigilantes as Jonah Jameson liked to call you all.
You had switched on the tv and flipped through channels until you stopped on a movie you liked.
A bowl of popcorn settled in your lap as you cuddled against a blanket, a small smile forming on your lips at all the comfort you were feeling all at once.
It was nice for once not having to save the day and come back with aching bruises and deep cuts that took weeks to heal.
Suddenly, the channel was interrupted by breaking news.
“Breaking News, Doc Ock has been seen leaving the bank with large bags of money in his hands,” a newman came on screen, with worry present on his face.
Despite the horrible situation, you felt your heart speed up.
As “evil” as Doc Ock was, you enjoyed the battles that you had with him. And you think that the feeling was mutual because he would always have a genuine smile on his face when he saw you.
“The police tried to thwart his robbery but were all taken down by the tentacles of this menacing man! Where are you, heroes? We need your help desperately,”
The news cut off and the movie you were initially watching appeared again.
There was a heated battle scene going on where the protagonist was kicking ass.
Really right at the good part? You thought.
You weren’t complaining though, you got to see Octavius.
Once you finally located where he was, you suited up into your gear and got all of your necessary weapons. You never really hurt him too hard, just enough to get back whatever he was stealing.
Right when you arrived at the battle scene, you immediately noticed chaos.
Wherever Otto Octavius walked, chaos ensued.
People were fleeing all around and screams were heard.
Lovely you thought with a thin-lipped smile as you glanced around for any sign of Octavius.
Suddenly you felt something grab onto your shoulder and then spun you around.
“Hello dear,” the voice of Otto filled your ears.
His tentacles held him upward towards the twinkling night sky.
You got into a fighting position but before made a grabbing motion to the bags of money he had in two of his tentacles.
A deep laugh came from him.
“Really, you want this to be an easy fight? That’s not going to happen,” he tilted his green lenses down so that you could meet his flirty gaze.
You shrugged your shoulders and then used your powers to spring you up so that you were level with him.
You always won these sorts of things with villains since your powers could end them all if you wanted.
You tried to grab one of the bags clutched in the tentacles but was interrupted by another one of them grabbing you gently and flinging you out of the way.
Otto started the other way, a smug grin on his face.
You saw him look back almost as if he was waiting for you to fight back which was exactly what you were about to do.
You flew at him with high speed and flung your arms around one of the tentacles and forced it open, making the bags of money drop onto the street.
From below you, you heard a loud screech from an old woman.
“Well that’s not very friendly of you,” Otto huffed as he pushed you away once again, this time a touch harder.
You stopped your movie just for this. To get pushed.
Now slightly vexed, you got into his face and put on a taunting smirk and waved mockingly making his mouth turn into an o shape before his tentacles tried to take you down.
“You know over this wonderful relationship you haven’t said a single thing, hero. You can’t keep using the ‘I don’t want to talk’ excuse since there is plenty to talk about such as how you always seem to get the best of me in battle,” he breathed as his tentacles continued to try and push you away.
You were quick with your movements however and swerved away from every single one of the tentacles.
“I know I told you I like a good monologue every now and then but…wait,” a sudden realization flowed through his head as for a split second his tentacles stopped attacking.
His chocolate eyes looked at you whilst you listened to him and tried to get the bags of money from his other tentacle.
“You aren’t actually mute, right? Because I mean if you are then I can learn sign language to make this work,” he said looking to you for a reaction.
You smiled at the villain and nodded eagerly.
That would make this relationship so much easier…and fun.
“Yes that you’re mute and I should learn sign language?” he questioned.
At that very moment, you stopped the tentacle with the rest of the money and forced it open.
You gave him a quick nod before leaping down back on the deserted streets.
You gave him a sweet wave before you started in the opposite direction, the bags of money in your hands.
“Until next time, dear,”

Can i please get “I know hurts, but you have to stay awake, okay?” With hurt Peter and a really worried Harley 💙💙
(read on ao3)
-
He knows it’s part of the job.
It’s what happens, when someone’s a crime fighting superhero, or an Avenger, or an Avenger in Training, or whatever it is that people want to call it. He knows that the danger comes with it. He’s known for a long time, would be naive to ever try and believe otherwise.
But he’s never been this close to it before.
“Oh god,” Harley says—his voice is shaking almost as badly as his hands are, where he’s got them hovering uselessly. “Oh my god.”
The fight had been close to the tower, is the thing—as in, only a block or two away. When the alarm had gone off in the lab, none of them had been prepared for it, but then Friday had said something including the words, “Green Goblin,” and, “Bombs,” and, “Fire,” and that was all that had mattered, Tony and Peter both suiting up right as Friday tacked on the fact that it seemed to be a team up, that Gobby had apparently brought along some friends.
Harley sometimes thinks about it. Joining them, in a suit that he made a long time ago, that he works on and upgrades as if he’s got plans for what it’ll be for. He thinks about stepping into it and flying off to help them out, but he isn’t ready for it yet. For now, he still works long distance to help out—stays on the comms, gets in contact with first responders, helps use Friday’s scanners and any other tech in the lab to help him get an eye on what’s going on, just to let the team know more, to help out however he can from where he is.
Today, he almost used the suit.
And he would have—if Peter hadn’t been thrown through the window instead.
“We’ve got this,” Tony tells him, sounding out of breath and angry, worry tinging the ends of his words, as he knocks Green Goblin out of the way in order to prevent him from following Peter into the lab through the window. Harley wonders if they really have it at all, but can’t bring himself to ask. “Is Peter alright?”
“I don’t know,” Harley answers honestly, a waver to his tone. The reason he was about to use his own stupid suit is because Gobby’s been targeting Peter the whole fight, like he’s got a personal bone to pick, a grudge to settle. And Peter—the strongest, most capable person Harley has ever met—had stated that he wasn’t going to hurt Gobby, that he wasn’t going to fight back. That he was going to take it.
Well, he took it. He took a lot.
Gingerly, Harley reaches up, peeling Peter’s mask up, up, up, until it’s off completely. He winces at the blood crusted under his crooked nose and dripping from his busted lip, but sighs in relief when bleary brown eyes blink at him. “Hey,” he murmurs. “How’re you feelin’?”
Peter inhales sharply, and lets the air out with a low whine of pain. Harley can’t blame him in the slightest—there’s more rips and tears in his suit now than there are in the shredded remains of his homemade one that he still has, the one that had the Vulture’s metal talons rip through the cloth just to dig into his skin. It would be impressive if it didn’t mean each and every mark on the suit signifies pain underneath.
“Well,” Harley says, a waver to his words but a forced smile on his face. “You look great.”
It makes the airiest of laughs push past Peter’s lips, and he offers Harley a dazed, lopsided little grin. There’s blood on his teeth. “Thanks,” he rasps, wincing slightly. Before Harley can do much more than convulsively swallow back the bile that rises in his throat (his heart coming up with it), Peter suddenly sobers up, and he looks dead serious—not in pain, not dazed, but firm. He reaches forward and grips onto Harley’s shirt, leaves bloody streaks where the glove of his suit has been burned away and the skin beneath has been burned with it, and he says, “Harley, they—they can’t hurt him.”
“Who?” Harley asks, confused.
“Green Goblin,” Peter breathes, shifting his eyes until he’s looking out the window he was thrown through, features strained. “It’s not… I’ve been hiding a lot, about—about that, ‘cause he asked me to and he’s my best friend and—”
Harley furrows his brow. “Wait, wait—what? Back up, Pete. Hiding what? Who asked?”
Peter looks back at Harley, and mixed with the blood and the bruises is a meek sort of guilt. “Harry,” he says. “The Goblin, it—it’s his dad, Harls. It’s Norman. Or, it was, and we—he didn’t want his dad to die like this, but he wanted justice, so we were gathering evidence, everything we could, so we could turn it in and get him arrested, and I wanted—I—I wanted to tell you guys but you know how complicated Harry’s feelings about his dad are and I couldn’t break his trust once he asked me not to and we were so c-close to being able to t-turn him in but then he fuh-found out and—and—”
Harley carefully cups Peter’s face in his hands, being sure to avoid any scrapes and bruises encompassing the skin there. “Breathe, baby,” he murmurs. “You’re still hurt. Don’t push yourself just to tell me this. Take a breath.”
But Peter just shakes his head, sounding urgent as he continues with, “No, you d-don’t—he found out! He—He’s got c-contacts, I don’t know who with, but there’s—there’s a way to control people, and it sounds insane and I know it does but—but—but last week the Goblin showed up, right? And I confronted him but it wasn’t Norman, it was Harry, and he was fighting me and while he was fighting me he said he didn’t want to do it, and—and I don’t know how Norman’s doing it but he’s got Harry under his contol and—and it’s him, Harley! Out there, right now, in that suit that everyone is fighting against—that’s our friend in there, and we… we gotta help him, we have to… we…”
“Peter?” Harley lightly taps his cheek when he sees Peter’s lashes start to flutter, the tension in his body bleeding out, just a bit, leaving him a little bit more limp where he lays on the ground. “Peter,” Harley says again, trying not to let his fear tint his voice too much. “Hey—”
“Tell them,” Peter murmurs, grip on Harley’s shirt starting to go a little weak. “T-Tell ‘em that ‘s ‘arry. Can’t hurt ‘im. You gotta tell ‘em.”
Harley sucks in a shaky breath and tries to compose himself a bit. Knowing Peter as well as he does, it’s not worth insisting reevaluating priorities right now—his stubborn ass boyfriend will deny help until either getting what he’s asked for or falling unconscious, whichever comes first, and with the injuries he has (the ones that Harley can see; who even knows what’s hidden beneath the suit, what bones have been broken and muscles have been torn?) falling unconscious isn’t an option until someone in the Medbay says it’s safe. Because of this, Harley just nods once, reluctantly leaning back a bit in order to address the comms, knowing Friday automatically disconnects and reconnects when it’s clearly necessary. “Guys,” he says into the wave of sound that greets him, overlapping voices and background fighting noise clashing together.
Instantly, the voices go hush. “Harley?” Tony sounds worried already, likely expecting an update on Peter and fearing the worst.
“Goblin,” Harley tells him. “Green Goblin. Peter said—he said it was Norman, and him and Harry were working together to get evidence and get him arrested, but Norman found out. He says that Norman’s got him under some kind of control now, somehow. Like, he’s literally controlling him. Like mind control, I think. The point is, it’s Harry in the suit.”
Sam speaks up, sounding equal parts skeptical and resigned. “Did you say mind control?”
Before Harley can snap at him, Natasha speaks up, telling them all, “Trust me, it’s out there. Unless someone else found a way to do it, I’m assuming this is something left behind from the Red Room—maybe someone found out how she did it, or… I don’t know. I’ll find out how Norman got his hands on it later, but the good news is, as long as it’s the same stuff, I can get my hands on some antidote. He’ll be okay.”
“Fucking antidote?” Sam repeats. “Nat, what the fuck? When did you learn about mind control? What does that have to do with the Red Room? Why do none of us know this?”
Sounding beyond amused, Nat casually says, “Have I mentioned that I have a sister?”
“Oh my god,” Tony murmurs. “Okay, shut up, we can talk about—all of that after this is over. For now—message received, Harley. We’ll try to just knock him down or something so that we can bring him into the tower and have Nat do whatever it is she just said she can do. For now, you worry about Peter. Is he okay?”
Harley looks at Peter, his breath hitching. “Maybe,” he answers. “He refused to let me help him until after I told you guys to not hurt Harry. I’ll keep you updated, though.”
“Sounds like him,” Tony chuckles. “Focus on him and you, don’t worry about updates. Friday can keep me in the loop. You’ve got this, kid.”
The comms disconnect then—Tony’s doing, no doubt, in the hopes of helping Harley from getting distracted by the battle. Harley gets why, but the sudden silence that overcomes the room is startling. For a moment, he freezes.
“Thank you,” Peter breathes, shattering the quiet—and then he promplty blacks out.
“Shit!” Harley leans forward, eyes going wide as his hands, once again, hover uselessly in the air, unsure of what to do. He has to swallow back the lump forming in his throat, and finally settles on checking Peter’s pulse—irregular, and a bit weak, but still there—and trying to wake him up as he asks, “Friday, where’s Doctor Cho? Or—Or Bruce, or fucking Stephen, or—where the hell is an actual doctor?!”
He taps at Peter’s cheek, cautiously shakes his shoulder, not wanting to agitate his wounds or cause any pain, but needing him to wake up. There’s movement behind Peter’s eyelids, but they don’t open, not quite yet. “Doctor Cho is currently at the compound, as well as Mister Banner. They are getting ready to leave for the tower to assist in post battle injuries, but will not arrive for a minimum of thirty six minutes. Contacting Doctor Strange now.”
Okay. That’s something. Harley tries to let himself relax, but it just won’t work—not when Peter is splayed out on the floor in front of him, bleeding and broken and not waking up—
“C’mon, baby,” Harley murmurs, ignoring the waver in his words. “Come on. Wake up.”
It looks pointless—hopeless, almost—but, after a moment, Peter sucks in a sharp breath and his eyes flutter, just a bit. His eyes are glazed over and unfocused, barely even parted at all, but he’s awake and murmuring unintelligible nonsensical sounds that don’t seem to equate into actual words.
Harley breaks out into a grin—one that doesn’t last too long, but the relief is flooding. He moves over his hands until he’s cupping Peter’s face gingerly in his palms. “Hey,” he says, breathes it, really, so much air to his voice that it’s a miracle he’s making any sound at all. “Hey, Pete, look—look at me, honey. Can you look at me? I’m gonna get some help, but until they get here, I need you to try and look at me, okay?”
“Mm.” Peter’s head rolls towards the sound of Harley’s voice, blinks more like little flutters of his lashes as he furrows his brows, mouth twisted up in a pained grimace. “Wh…?”
Progress. Good. “Hi, baby,” Harley whispers, thumbs brushing over the apples of Peter’s cheeks. “You in there? Can you hear me?”
There’s a moment where he gets no response, but, eventually, Peter lifts his chin in a barely noticable nod, and then lowers it to turn his cheek into Harley’s palms. “H’rley?”
“I’m right here, honey. I’ve got you.” Tears burn the backs of Harley’s eyes, well up and threaten to roll down his cheeks. He blinks them away in order to keep his vision clear. “Friday?”
Instantly, Friday responds, telling him, “Still attempting contact with Doctor Strange. I have managed to reach Wong, who has assured me he is getting my message through. Until then, I recommend keeping Mr. Parker awake and trying to slow the bleeding from his abdomen.”
Harley’s gaze flickers down, and he bites back a curse as he notices that Friday’s got a point. While Peter’s enhancements, specifically his healing, makes it possible for him to survive a much larger blood loss than the average person, that doesn’t mean it’s any less worrying to see that there’s a slight puddle beginning to form beneath him. Especially under his midsection, where a large gash across his abdomen is sluggishly yet steadily dripping .
It’s going to suck, putting pressure on a behemoth of an injury like that—Harley has to even out his breathing from just the thought of how much pain it’ll add to the agony Peter is already in—but he has to do it. If he doesn’t, he risks Peter not lasting long enough for Stephen to get here, and Stephen is their only hope.
“Okay,” he mumbles, looking back up at Peter’s pale features, trying for a shaky smile. “Alright, baby, we—we’re gonna have to pull through this next part together, okay? It’s gonna suck, but I’m gonna be right here the whole time.”
Peter looks confused, trying to process Harley’s words and struggling to blink his eyes into focus. “‘Kay,” he slurs out blearily.
Harley reluctantly pulls back his hands, being quick to yank his sweatshirt over his head, balling it up in his grasp and then reaching over with one hand to cup Peter’s face again, the other poised and prepared. “Ready, Pete?”
“Mhm.” It’s clear Peter still isn’t quite sure about what Harley is saying, but he’s agreeing anyway, and—shit, Harley loves him.
Swallowing roughly, Harley nods, just once, and steels his nerves, and presses the hoodie down.
As soon as there’s pressure against the wound, Peter gasps—a horrible, horrible sound, strangled with an agonizing cry, his eyes snapping fully open with clarity shining in them, no longer fogged over and dazed. His back rises off the floor, body instinctively trying to curl in on itself, hands scrabbling to weakly push Harley and the sweatshirt away.
“Hey, hey, hey!” There’s an urgency to Harley’s tone that makes his words come out in a strained sort of rasp. “Peter, honey, you—you gotta calm down, okay? I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, but I gotta slow the bleeding. It’s okay.”
His words seem to help, or the sudden pain spurred on a rush of adrenaline that’s fading as quickly as it came , or perhaps some combination of the two—Harley isn’t sure what it is, exactly, but Peter collapses back onto the floor with a whimper in the back of his throat. “Harley,” he murmurs—barely coherent, words slurring together. “Harley… ‘m tired.”
His eyelids are fluttering. Harley panics. “No,” he says. “No, no, baby, you—you gotta keep those eyes open for me, alright? I’m so sorry, honey, and I—I know it hurts, but you have to stay awake, okay? Stephen will be here soon, and he’ll fix you up, but you gotta—you—”
Peter’s eyes fall shut. Harley sobs.
“I still need to—t-to tell you that I love you!” Peter’s chest stutters with every every rise, with every fall. “We gotta—we have to finish college, Pete, and—and get an apartment together, and grow up all the way, okay? And one of us still has to propose one day, and—and—and we still need to h-have a wedding, where we make fun of Tony for crying so much, but—but it’s out of love, so it’s okay, and—we could have kids, too, Pete! You have to—you have to make it, ‘cause there’s so much left for us, for—for you, and I can’t—baby, please open your eyes, please—”
A second sob bubbles up from the center of his chest when the only response he gets is another stuttered breath. He tries to remind himself that at least that means Peter is still breathing, just in time for Friday to speak up, softspoken as she says, “My message has officially reached Doctor Strange. ETA should be any second now. Boss has been informed.”
Only a moment later, there’s an orange glow from behind him, but Harley doesn’t look, too busy keeping the pressure steady and firm against Peter’s abdomen with one hand, the other now pressed to Peter’s pulse on his neck to assure himself that his heart is beating—his own breaths uneven and choked off as he cries.
A hand lands on his shoulder. “You did good, Harley,” Stephen tells him gently. “Let me take it from here, alright?”
He doesn’t want to let Peter go, but he knows he has to, if he wants to make sure Peter makes it out of this alive. Body trembling, he pulls his hands away, doesn’t stand up (he isn’t sure if he could, with his legs feeling so weak) but manages to scramble back a few feet to give Stephen enough room. “Is he—is he—?”
“I’ll do everything I can,” Stephen assures him, already creating another portal with one hand, using the other to lift Peter off the ground, his Cloak moving over quickly to aid in levitating him. “And I’m good at what I do.”
He leaves with that, disappearing through the portal with Peter—and Harley remains where he is, sitting on the concrete floor of the lab, hands covered in his boyfriend’s blood, sobbing.
Outside, the fight goes on.
In here, the world stops turning.
He doesn’t know how long he stays there, or how much time has passed. He doesn’t know if the fight is over, if they got Harry, is anyone else got hurt. He doesn’t know anything, not for what feels like hours. He just sits, head bowed, face buried in his arms, uncontrollably shaking.
Inside his mind is a jumbled up mess. Part of him can’t stop picturing it—Peter, battered and bleeding out right in front of him. Part of him keeps picturing the future he had been blubbering about, forms images in his head on the two of them at their ESU graduation together, getting the keys for the apartment that they refuse to let Tony help them pay for, maybe bringing in a pet or two, probably alleyway strays that Peter finds on patrol. A ring, not horrendously expensive but still undoubtedly perfect and special, and a wedding, small and wonderful.
Kids. God, he could have kids one day, and Peter could be the guy he has them with.
If Peter makes it out alive.
A shuddering breath wracks his frame, body trembling at the idea of Peter doing anything but. He’s so caught up in all of this, in these two conflicting trains of thought, that he doesn’t hear the door to the lab open, or the footsteps that cautiously approach. It isn’t until a gentle hand settles on his knee that he even realizes he’s no longer alone, and even then, he doesn’t lift his head until he hears a shaky, “Harley?”
It isn’t Tony, or Rhodey, or Sam, or Stephen—it isn’t anyone that Harley would have expected to be the one to come in here right now—but, when Harley looks up, bleary and bloodshot eyes widening a bit, he isn’t all that surprised.
Harry is kneeling in front of his, looking a little bit worse for wear. There’s an abundance of scrapes and bruises scattered about his face, the knuckles on the hand resting on Harley’s knee busted open and an angry looking red. He’s got on the light grey sweatpants and the white cotton shirt that are stocked up in the Med Bay, but the clothes are all rumpled and askew. He looks tired, and heavy, and sad. But, when he sees Harley looking at him, he tries for a smile. “Hey. How you feeling, man?”
“Like shit,” Harley rasps, bring up a hand to scrub at the sticky dried tear tracks on his cheeks, only to freeze just before his hand can come in contact with his face, remembering the smears of dried blood coating his skin. His eyes water at the reminder, but he blinks it away, dropping his hand and clearing his throat. He eyes Harry, frowning. “What about you? Pete… he, uh—he said Norman was controlling you…?”
Huffing out something that’s a bit too hollow and bitter to really be a laugh, Harry nods, looking away with a smile that’s so twisted it looks more like a grimace. “Yeah,” he says. “I still don’t really know what it was, or how he did it, but—yeah. Natasha got me free of it, though, and she said, uh—she has a sister, I guess, who went through the whole… mind control, or whatever the hell that was, so she’s gonna get ahold of her and have her—I don’t know, visit, or something? I think Nat just wants me to talk to someone who knows what it feels like. But…”
He trails off, and Harley—Harley sees, suddenly, how stricken and haunted Harry truly looks.
“But I don’t want to talk about it,” he decidedly says a moment later, eyes downcast. “Not yet. Or ever, really. I mean, how do you even try to talk about the fact that your own father just used some kind of mind control to force you into trying to kill your own best friend, right?”
The way that Harley’s stomach twists and turns on itself makes him swallow back bile. “Is he…”
Harry glances back up at Harley, one side of his lips twitching up. “He’ll make it.” The barely there smile fades into a grimace, and he looks back down. “No thanks to me, of course.”
“I…” Harley isn’t sure what he wants to start with—the relief of knowing that Peter is going to pull through, the irrational anger within him that makes him want to blame Harry for it, the logical majority of him knowing that Harry isn’t the one to blame, that Harry has been traumatized by what just happened and is as much a victim as Peter, if not more so. He settles on murmuring, “It’s not your fault.”
“My hands,” Harry counters. “I did it to him.”
Harley shakes his head, reaches out—pauses, when he sees the dried blood flaking off of his skin, but then—settles his hand on Harry’s shoulder anyway. “Your dad did it,” he corrects. “He used you like a puppet, and that isn’t on you. Peter won’t blame you. I don’t, either.”
“You should,” Harry says bitterly. “I mean, Pete wanted us to tell you guys about it all—about my dad being Green Goblin, when we found out, but I—I was so stupid to think we could do it by ourselves, and so selfish, asking him to keep it between us, all because me and my fucking daddy issues decided it was better that way. Look at where it got us. Where it got him.”
“If you had any sort of idea,” Harley starts, “that anything like this could have happened, would you have made the same choices you made?”
Harry looks offended. “Of course not!”
Harley shrugs. “Then I don’t think you’re the bad guy here. Now, before either of us sinks deeper into our own little depressive spirals here, I think—I think I wanna go see him.”
But that’s not it, is it?
“Need to,” he corrects. “I need to see him.”
Though he still looks conflicted, Harry offers him a nod and gets to his feet, hand outstretched to help Harley stand. “Let’s go.”
There’s a lot of bandages, and bruises, and waxy pale skin. Harley falters in the door, taking the sight of it all in, and then steps forward, again, and again, until he’s falling into the chair situation by the head of the bed heavily.
“I, uh…” Harry trails off, still standing in the doorway. It’s hard for Harley to rip his eyes away and look over, but he does when he registers the waver in Harry’s voice, and finds that the guy is staring intently down at the floor with a furrow to his brows. “I can’t—I can’t be in here. I know you’re right, logically, that it isn’t really my fault, but I was—I remember causing… all of this, okay? Even if I wasn’t in control, I still remember, and I don’t think I can—y’know?”
Be in this room, Harley knows is what Harry’s trying to say. He can’t be here and see Peter like this, when he can so vividly remember his hands causing these wounds, control or no control. Harley swallows roughly and nods, just once. “Where are you gonna go, then? Because I don’t think being alone is good for you right now. Like… I don’t know. Call Flash, at least. He’ll rush over to keep you company and make sure you’re okay. I think you might need that.”
Harry’s eyes flicker up, barely glancing over Peter with a flinch before settling his gaze on Harley. “I will,” he assures. “I’ll call him.”
“I’m gonna ask Friday in twenty minutes if you have yet,” Harley warns. “And if you haven’t, I’m gettin’ ahold of him myself. Understood?”
A half hearted partially there smile punctuated by an eye roll. “Yeah, I got it, you mother hen.”
“Good,” Harley says, nodding.
Moments later, Harry is gone.
Harley turns, slowly but surely, to face Peter once again. It causes a pang in his chest, seeing his boyfriend so beaten down, attached to various machines and IV’s, all there to keep him stabilized, but he finds comfort in the rhythmic beeping that signifies every beat of Peter’s heart, reaches out to hold one of his hands in both of his own, careful and gentle and loving.
Because he loves him. Because Peter is everything, and Harley is in love with him.
“When you wake up, I’m gonna tell you,” Harley whispers, thumb lightly stroking over Peter’s bruised knuckles. “And I’m gonna tell you that I’m in this for the long haul, okay? And if you don’t feel the same, or just aren’t ready to say it back, then that’s okay, ‘cause I just wanna make sure you never get hurt like this without knowin’ how much you mean to me. Sound like a plan?”
Peter’s eyes move beneath his eyelids, his chest rising and falling, fingers flexing, just barely, against Harley’s palms.
Harley beams, eyes watering. “Yeah,” he murmurs to himself. “Definitely a plan.”

Slipping Through My Fingers All The Time
I started a marvel binge about a month ago and I’ve been hyperfixating on spideychelle for a while now – so I started this fic and then realised the last prompt of @mjweek fit perfectly! This is a crazy long fic by my standards but I hope you like it!
The first time May hears Michelle Jones’ name is after the Washington Incident. She doesn’t particularly register it, not with everything else happening in their lives at that point. She’s just another one of his classmates, only just edging into the category of “friend”, if something like that can even be categorised at all.
She doesn’t hear the girls’ nickname for a while either.
Until one day, when Peter casually asks: “Would you mind if MJ slept over along with Ned?”
“MJ?”, she questions, turning towards him with a puzzled look.
“Michelle Jones... you know, the new Academic Decathlon Captain? Her friends call her MJ and now I guess Ned and I allowed to call her that since we’re her friends”.
She seems to bond to their group increasingly after Homecoming and then after the Blip. She’s not rude by any means, but she doesn’t really say a lot in comparison to her friends, so May doesn’t ever particularly chat to her in any depth beyond polite greetings and queries about being picked up after late night study -sessions-turned-sleepovers.
But as a platonic trio, the three of them seem to be on good ground.
Looking back, she’s not sure she could pinpoint when exactly when the true shift happened.
Slowly but steadily, Peter mentions her more and more in a way he’s never talked about any other friend before, even more than he used to mention Liz. It reaches a point where she expects to hear about the latest “badass” thing that MJ did whenever she asks him how school was that day, right alongside tales of their gang’s usual exploits and the regular gossip of Midtown. It’s not to an unhealthy or obsessive extent, but it’s enough for her to realise that something must be going on between them, even if it’s just a spark.
Not wanting to put pressure on Peter to talk about it, she waits patiently for her suspicions to be confirmed, because she becomes more and more certain every day that there’s something there.
A few weeks before the big school trip to Europe and what they’re both hoping will be a much deserved break, she comes home to Peter furiously scribbling something onto a scrappy frayed bit of paper, his entire face scrunched into fierce concentration.
“Are you designing a new suit or something?”, she casually asks, that being the only thing she can think of in spite of her nephews’ lack of artistic talent.
“Oh no”, is his slightly shy response. “It’s just... a plan...”
That confuses her even more and she sits down beside him, finally looking at what he’s been writing down whilst asking him: “a plan for what? World domination? Have you decided to go all angsty hero turned supervillain on us?”
He laughs at that and then explains himself. “I really like MJ. I wanna tell her how I feel in Europe and I thought it would be better to just write it down rather than winging it. I tried to just be honest with her earlier today and after I said that I had something I wanted to tell her I kind of froze... and ran... very fast... and elephant like... a lot of people stared, it was very noisy and embarrassing.”
She sits with him for about an hour after that, helping him to develop his pretty loose plan into something more concrete. She also had the sad thought that if Tony was still around he would’ve been all over this situation, helping Peter. It’s yet another figure in his life who will never be there for the big moments, but all she can do is try her best for him, like she has done since he was 4 years old and they all realised his parents’ weren’t coming back from that damn plane crash.
In the end, the trip of course gets derailed by (what else?) more superhero stuff and even before what follows a few weeks later, she feels awful that he can’t take a pause from stress and danger for even two weeks, at the age of just 16. He’s still just a kid, but the weight of the world never seems to lift from his shoulders.
But the one positive is that it looks like he didn’t need the plan. When they’re driving home from the airport, the first thing he talks and talks and talks about is everything that happened with him and MJ. Apparently she loved the necklace even though it was broken, they kissed 3 times on Tower Bridge (and a few more times on the way home) and now they’re going on a date soon. She questions if swinging around New York might be a bit intense, but he shrugs her off, saying that it’ll be fine.
She finds out later that it wasn’t fine, but everything that follows after their date completely crashes into everything and makes that detail anecdotal.
Everything changes after Mysterio’s video – at first he runs for far too long and she’s so worried and it breaks her heart to read all the awful, untrue things that damn Daily Bugle keeps on pumping out. The physical copy would be better off used as toilet paper in her opinion (she can’t think of anything as witty for the more popular digital version, but she’s trying). They all meet with him undercover, sporadically, supporting him in whatever way they can.
After an adventure involving Dr Strange (she’s proud of the fact that learnt his name properly now) and weirdest of all several other Spider-Men, he finally comes home and even though everything is still completely uprooted and unstable, at least she has him back now.
For everything that still comes afterward, for every run in with photographers and crazed fans and every time the danger they’re all in now that the world knows becomes apparent, she’s there to pick him back up. And MJ and Ned are too.
She notices that he comes back from patrols even later and when she talks to him about it he admits with a shy blush that he’s been stopping by MJ’s room every night for weeks now. It all seems very Romeo and Juliet. She also chuckles when it’s brought up in conversation with MJ’s mother, because of course she knows he’s there when they think they’re being so sneaky and secretive. How he managed to keep his identity hidden for so long, she’ll never know.
Over time, she gets to know MJ pretty well too: she learns that she’s smart and fierce and sarcastic and cynical in a way that balances Peter’s eternal sunshine perfectly. They really do fit together like pieces of an extremely adorable puzzle.
Her usually mended heart breaks a little when she realises how well she would’ve gotten along with Ben. But eventually she puts that thought away in a precious mental box, carefully kept and full of now bittersweet memories. She simply allows herself to share in her nephews’ new found and long overdue joy.
She truly realises the depth of their feelings for each other in unfortunate to say the least circumstances. A hammering from the Green Goblin puts him in hospital unconscious for a week even with his advanced healing abilities and MJ won’t leave his side for a second, holding onto the broken black dahlia necklace like it’s the only thing anchoring her to reality even after Ned has finally been persuaded to go home to bed. They sleep in plasticky, slightly sticky and hard hospital chairs right next to each other and when Peter finally wakes up the next afternoon he looks so happy to see the 3 people he loves most in the world carefully watching him.
She’s never seen him more scared than the first time a bad guy kidnaps MJ. They were aware that something like this was likely, the girl even prepared herself with self defence classes and her boyfriend is a literal freakin’ superhero. But still, when he finds her, May can see through the security footage that her and Ned are nervously watching, that he holds her with such relief, like she’s the most precious thing in the world.
They of course go to senior prom together and take the classic photos before they go — it’s incredibly corny but their radiant smiles put a bright grin on her face too.
They go long distance for college and although they’re both worried about growing apart, they seem to just get closer, moving into a cramped apartment in their second year.
She comes over for dinner (Peter has always been a disaster in the kitchen, but MJ’s competent enough to keep them from completely living off take out) and the three of them chat and laugh together and they’re not even out of college yet but MJ already feels like family.
What she doesn’t expect is for him to call her at 2am, in floods of tears, barely able to explain to her what happened except “I’ve fucked everything up, oh my god, I’ve fucked everything up...”
Eventually May gets a bigger picture through his tears (“it’s so stupid”, he hiccups down the phone). Essentially it all boils down to a lack of communication and small things boiling over into a blow out fight. Now she’s walking out in sheer anger and he’s frozen in panic. May feels panicked too, feeling the pressure of giving Peter the right advice when she’s honestly not sure how she would handle the situation. He might be all grown up, at college with a long term living together relationship, but sometimes she’s reminded of how young he still is.
She ends up telling him to run after MJ and apparently he does just that, rushing out into the pouring rain and kissing her through tearful apologies from both of them in what sounds like something straight out of a rom com. After that, they get better at sharing how they’re feeling and their relationship seems all the better for it.
She gives him her old engagement ring just after their two year anniversary of living together, after he comes to her apartment with an excited grin, telling her that he wants to propose. An everlasting symbol of her old love, of the love her and Ben shared, that their child can now share with the love of his life.
“So what’s your big plan?” she asks him excitedly over coffee in the mug he bought her a few birthdays back.
“Well, she hates public proposals, so I can’t do that – I was thinking of doing something at home, something cosy...”
That’s exactly what he does.
May helps him with his plan, just as she did 5 years ago – except this time she’s a little bit more directly involved.
Luckily, May and MJ already have a regular rom com night every few weeks, so MJ isn’t too surprised or suspicious when she invites her ‘round for an afternoon of Bridget Jones. Just as the perpetually single heroine is giving birth to Colin Firth’s baby, she gets a thumbs up text from Peter, letting her know that he’s ready to go.
MJ took the bus here, so May suggests they go back to the apartment together, because she couldn’t bear the idea of not being around for what awaits MJ at home. MJ gives her a strange look but just rolls with it.
When MJ opens the apartment door after saying goodbye to May, the lights are dimmed, except for a glowing structure in the corner, which Peter comes out of grinning.
“I made you a fort!” he declares happily with his arms in the air. As MJ grins and laughs and kisses him as she jumps into his arms, she takes that as a cue to fully leave them alone.
She stands and waits and wonders what’s happening inside. She could see that he’d filled the inside of the fort with fairy lights and she knows that he was planning on ordering MJ’s favourite food (pepperoni pizza) and putting on a murder documentary she’d been talking about for weeks.
After what must’ve been the time for them to eat their pizza and watch the documentary, plus about 7 minutes give or take, they open the door. They both have tears in their eyes as MJ holds up her left hand to show May the newly placed ring on her finger.
They have placeholder seats in the ceremony, for everyone who’s not there, who would’ve been there. Who should’ve been there. Everyone lost isn’t forgotten and it’s as heartwarming as it is sad.
He goes back to May’s the night before the wedding out of superstition and tradition. She wakes him up pretty early and he complains until he realises what day it is. He shares a soft phone call with MJ as soon as he’s awake enough to hold a conversation, but May has no idea what’s being said, as she goes to the kitchen, wanting to give them both privacy.
She makes sure to tell Peter how proud she is of him when she’s helping him tie his tie like he’s back in high school and getting ready for Homecoming.
When he sees MJ walk down the aisle, they both look at each other like they’re being given the entire world.
Peter speaks first, nervously taking cue cards out of his pocket and saying: “MJ, I know that you hate clichés and corny lines, so I’m not going to use any. Instead, I’m just going to make a bunch of promises. I promise to support you and stand by your side, to have your back in the way that you always have mine. I promise to always be there to make you smile when you’re sad. I promise to watch scary horror movies with you, even if they really scare me. I promise not to spoil endings of things. I promise to love you forever.”
An already tearful MJ follows him with: “Peter, a long time ago, I told you that I don’t have much luck when it comes to getting close to people. But that’s not been true for a long time, thanks to you. Sorry to use clichés my vows after you cut them out of yours, but I feel so damn lucky to be marrying my best friend. I promise to stand by you and fight for you even when you’re being really stupid, I promise to support all of your nerdy stuff and most of all, I promise to always love you, dork”
May thinks back on everything her boy has suffered through, everything that has been put upon him for so long. Seeing him brimming with joy, gazing lovingly at his wife, surrounded by everyone who loves and supports them both, she bursts into tears herself.
It’s one of the happiest days of her life .It’s only matched by her both of her wedding days and the days that Benjamin Anthony Parker-Jones and Taylor-May Parker-Jones are born.

Crystal Heart Chapter Four - HYDRA Attack
Tony's POV
Weeks passed, Fury and Hill finally got their heads out of their asses and decided that the safest place for Melanie once she left the hospital was Avengers Tower. (Which Steve and I could have told them the day after we rescued the kid)
The day we brought Melanie home, she followed Steve around like a lost puppy, afraid of being alone. Though over the weeks that followed, as she slowly got to know the rest of the Avengers, her confidence grew.
Then One night, she wandered down to my workshop.
Steve was on a solo mission, Peter was on Patrol and I was working. I had`nt slept for two days and was onto my sixth cup of coffee for the night when the door to my workshop opened.
"Pete, that you Underoos?" I asked, Peter often came to the workshop when he finished patrol.
"Ummm, It's me Mr. Stark," Said a voice that was Obviously not Peter.
I turned around from the workbench and Melanie stood in the doorway. looking terrified.
"What's wrong Mel?" I asked, gesturing that it was okay for her to come in.
"I... I had a bad dream."
I reached for a rag and wiped the grease off my hands before walking over and putting my arm around the girl, "You wanna talk about it?"
"But..." she started, but I cut her off, "I know what a bad dream is Mel. I've had a few myself." I said, "You can tell me. It's ok.
She took a deep breath, "It was about... HYDRA...They... they turned me... turned me into some kinda...Puppet... and I... I hurt Steve..." She burst into tears and wrapped her arms around my neck, "Mr. Stark, I hurt him so bad... and you... didn't want me anymore... "
"Oh mellie... That's not gonna happen. I promise. I will always want you around." I said, pulling her into a hug.
"But I..." she broke down into tears again, "But I was so scared... I don't wanna go back... I was so scared..."
"It's ok Mel. It's gonna be ok." I said, "Come on, let's get you back to bed."
I pulled the girl close to my side and walked her back to her room, tucking her back into her bed.
"I'm Sorry Mr. Stark," Melanie whimpered as I adjusted the blanket over her.
"What for?" I asked.
"For coming down to the workshop. I know You were busy and I... couldn't even..." Melanie was crying again, she rolled over, facing away from me as if ashamed by her tears.
"Come on Mel, It's ok, It's not your fault." I soothed, "You know that, right?
"I-I know." Melanie sniffled.
"You can come down to the workshop anytime, day or night." I said, "I'm always gonna be here for you. We all will."
Melanie sniffed again. "Promise?"
"Promise."
Melanie rolled back over, looking at me with tears in her eyes. "Thank you Mr. Stark." she said, "For everything."
"You're welcome Mellie."
"Will... will you stay for a bit? Till I fall asleep?"
"Sure," I said, more than a little surprised at the request. I settled in the chair beside Melanie's bed. My Project could wait a while. "Get some sleep kiddo, I'll keep you safe."
I must have dozed off at one point because the next thing I knew, it was the next morning and Peter was nudging me awake. After I rushed my Spider-ling to school, I returned to my project, only to find Melanie waiting for me in the workshop. She was sitting in what Steve called his "Sketching corner," an armchair and coffee table with pencils, a pile of loose drawing paper and a sketchbook.
"What's going on Mel?" I asked.
"Ummm, I wanted to thank you, for last night," Melanie said, brushing a strand of blonde hair from her face.
"You`re welcome kid, I know how real those nightmares can feel," I replied.
suddenly, Melanie's heterochromatic eyes went as wide as saucers, "Mr Stark, Steve needs help."
"Miss Peters is correct sir," JARVIS confirmed, "Captain Rogers is upstairs, he appears to be ill."
We both grimaced at the news, "We should hurry," I said, grabbing Melanie by the hand and leading her upstairs. Cursing under my breath the whole way. Steve never gets sick. Ever. Something was seriously wrong.
My fears were confirmed when we got to the penthouse and found Steve throwing up into the toilet; he looked terrible. His blond hair was soaked in sweat, practically plastered to his forehead, and his big blue eyes lacked their usual sparkle.
"Steve, Steve," I said, kneeling beside him "You look awful sweetheart."
"Tony, is Melanie okay?" Steve asked, breathing heavily.
"She's fine, she and i've been down in the workshop," I replied. combing my fingers through his damp hair.
"they`re.... coming for... her, you have... to protect her.."
"And leave you here bringing your guts up? No way."
"I`ll Be fine, this is the serum, it's getting the poison out of my system."
"Poison?" I asked, alarmed.
"I`ll explain later, just keep her safe. Please Tony,"
"I promise, I will." I kissed his pale cheek before getting to my feet and leaving to find Melanie. she was waiting just outside.
"Melanie, we need to talk," I said.
She nodded, her Heterochromatic eyes full of fear and concern.
I took her by the hand and led her into the Laundry, "Do you remember that first day at the hospital? Where Peter hid you when HYDRA agents came looking for you?"
Melanie nodded, "In the Bathtub," she replied.
"Well today`s a little bit different," I said.
Melanie seemed to understand what i was implying and clambered into the Laundry basket. I quickly arranged the clothes so she was concealed from the outside and placed a blanket on top of her.
"one of us`ll come and get you when it`s safe `kay?"
Melanie made a little sound of acknowledgement.
The basket was beside the dryer, so I turned on a load. Figuring that the noise would conceal Melanie`s breathing and keep her warm at the same time.
When i closed the lid to the basket, Goose positioned herself on top of it.
"Goose, Stay. Protect her," I instructed
"Meow," Said goose.
By the time I`d called my suit, Steve was staggering into the living room.
"Melanie?" he asked.
"Safe, Goose`s on guard duty" I replied, "You sure you`re okay?"
Steve took two steps towards me and nearly fell over in a heap. I caught him and eased him onto the ground, (thanks to the Armour, i never would have been strong enough otherwise)
"m'ok." Steve said "I lost my focus for a moment, that's all." He stared at up at me, blue eyes glassy.
"Yeah no, You're far from ok." I replied, "You need to sit this one out."
"Can't.." Steve protested, "I promised Mel... I'd Protect.. her."
"That's a promise we all made," I reminded, but before I could continue, A Bomb broke through the Skylight, Flooding the room with Gas.
My Helmet closed immediately, and I sent out the Avengers Assemble code before looking down at Steve. His super-immunity was busy fighting whatever these Lunatics had poisoned him with, thereby lowering his resistance to the gas.
"Come on Capsicle, Stay with me," I said as I started to drag him out of the Gas cloud. When we retreated to the hall, My fiancé had passed out, but he was still breathing.
Before i knew it, The rest of the Team had gathered around us.
"F***! What happened?" Natasha asked.
"Some Lunatic poisoned him," I replied, "And then HYDRA tossed a gas bomb through the skylight. Bucky, can you get him down to Medbay?" I asked.
Bucky nodded, and I watched as he grabbed Steve and supported him. About a year ago, I wouldn't have trusted my fiancé`s best friend as far as I could throw him. But after he saved Peter's life from A Vengeful Green Goblin. It forced me to admit that maybe i was wrong.
"Where`s Melanie?" Clint signed as Bucky disappeared down the fire escape.
L-a-u-n-d-r-y B-a-s-k-e-t G-o-o-s-e I signed back.
Clint Saluted and ran off.
As I charged my repulsers, The memory of last night, and Melanie's distraught, terrified face flashed before my eyes. taking a deep breath, I prepared for the battle ahead. Those Asses were not going to take My girl away.
