Gonna go for a jog but here’s this weeks progress with 16:8 intermittent fasting (also, fasting for Ramadan). 30 minutes of cardio a day and no more than 100-150 grams of carbs. 1100 calories per day.

I love this stuff 😍. Butter, olive oil, sea salt. And I've been to the doctors. She said I need to try consistent use of antihistamines and steroid nasal sprays. She can't provide alternative therapies. I tried both those things before, but expected an immediate effect. She said nope, give it a month with daily use. Ok. Let's go with that.
I also treated myself to some decaff filter coffee (considering gradually moving away from caffeine again) and some mixed nuts.
My new breakfast will be nuts sprayed with olive oil and sprinkled with salt.
You know something? I'm full of energy right now. So far today I've done a home workout, a half hour sunrise walk and ten miles on the bike. All fuelled by the power of fatty coffee.
Only 20hrs into my bulletproof fast, and I'm aiming for double that, but I'm gonna breeze through it.
Feel a hundred times better than this time yesterday!

5 Intermittent Fasting Schedules - Popular One’s
1. 16/18 Fasting Method
Eat within a period of up to 8 hours and fast for 16 hours. For example, Eat breakfast at noon and eat dinner before 8 PM.
2. 20:4 Fasting Method
Eat within a 4-hour eating window followed by a 20-hour fast. For example, start your fast after dinner and wait 20 hours until you eat again. Or eat one large meal a day.
3. 5:2 Fasting Diet
Eat normally for five days of the week. But on two non-consecutive days, consume about 500 calories.
4. 24-Hour Fast
Fast for 24 hours once or twice a week. For example, fast from lunch on day one until lunch on day two. You still eat each day, but only once during that day.
5. 36-Hour Fast
Fast for an entire day and night, about 36 hours altogether. For example, fast after dinner on day one, fast during day 2, and break your fast on the morning of day three.

FINALLY! First number on the scale changed!

I had hoped to get here in February, but I'll take it now. Still a long way to go, but every pound is that much closer.

Okay, I’ve always heard it doesn’t matter what time you eat during the day as long as you stay in your calorie limit you’ll lose weight. However, when I eat the same amount of calories but later in the day my weight loss is soooo slow vs if I stop eating at 6pm. I can even eat high restriction (1400 calories) and lose .5-1lb per day if I stop eating early. I could eat low restriction and I’ll hardly lose for weeks if I eat my calories at night. I do not understand. I thought it was just calories in calories out??

First 24 hr fast!
I've been wanting to incorporate fasting back into my lifestyle since January and today is the first day that I successfully completed a 24 hr fast! I had to prove to myself that I could say no, that food wasn't the answer for every inconvenience or negative emotion, that there are healthier ways to handle my every day stressors. I plan on taking 3 days out of the week to fast for the next 6 weeks so wish my luck! And if you know of any alternate day fasters, water fasters, people/blogs that do IF or OMAD, please let me know!

Weekly Fitness and Weight Loss Update 📝
Clothes are fitting looser!
I maintained my weight this week. Considering that I just stepped on the scale while having a raging period, I take it as a win. I was ready even to see the scale going up!
Not much to say about that, rather that I’m sticking with Intermittent Fasting and keeping an eye on the carbs while introducing whole complex carbs here and there.
As for clothing, that’s where I see a difference! So I’m definitely losing inches and my clothes are fitting looser. I’m wearing some of my old clothes more comfortably and confidently again. A gentle reminder that it’s not all about the number on the scale!
Fitness-wise, I keep on seeing improvements. I have more endurance during my walks (especially walking uphill) and I can hold tree poses with my foot resting on my inner thigh again. I can also hold a plank without modifying. I still modify whatever is needed and I know that there are some exercises that will always be more challenging for me due to my back surgeries and other factors. Everyone is different and I try to do my own best without comparing myself to others, which is honestly easier said than done!
Off to my morning yoga and daily nature walk now 🪷🍃

I'll be breaking this fat fueled fast around this time tomorrow.
Weird how I was so staunch with my "no more longer fasts for me!!" proclamations for the past several months. Then I re-read a Dave Asprey book and I do two within about a week of each other 😅.
Mucus is bad, but I'm hoping that's because I had peanuts again for a couple of days. I'm off them again now, at least for a long while.
Up a little later than usual this morning. My sleep isn't so bad right now. Still up once or twice because of my silly bladder, but I can't fix everything 😋
I did a 20 minute kettlebell strength workout, then got myself outside for my daily sunrise walk.
It was a shorter than usual workout, as I have always gone with 30 minutes. But 20 was fine for today.
Full body, two moves for each muscle group.
And now I'm back in my oodie, sipping the first of today's three (or maybe even four, lol) bulletproofs 😍.
No other workouts today. Maybe another little walk later.
Today is about "self care". It's so important to allow days like that now and then.
