Welp, today's the day I finally stepped on a scale after, like, I dunno, years probably? Aaaanndd well... that was a number I haven’t seen there before xd Which is both good and bad.
Bad because I gained a few kgs since the last time and apparently went over the healthy bmi and body fat amount (not by a lot, but like around 1,5 each), if the online calculators are to be believed, but it's also good in the sense this might finally give me enough motivation to kick myself in the ass and start moving goddammit.
I've already been trying to do some light exercises a couple times a week but maybe this will help me up the ante + I have, for the first time in my life, decided to try and count my calories intake. Which is... weird, lmao, but also interesting? I haven’t been eating a lot, tbh, and pretty much no sweets or snacking, I kinda grew out of it? So I guess most of my added weight comes from lack of exercise and maaaybe hormone changes. Ive been on and off the pill several times during the last year-two, currently off for a couple of months, so I think that could’ve thrown my body into alarm mode of gathering fat "just in case".
With the calories intake counting, Im mainly curious to see how much I get in the day when I eat as I normally do and if there's a reason for the weight gain somewhere in there. Like today Im already after dinner and I'll probably only make myself a light supper and won’t even meet the amount the app Im using calculated for me to lose the weight I want (5 kg for now to get back to the healthy bmi scale), so that's very interesting and Im wondering if maybe Im eating less on some days but more on others and that's also making my body "put away" the extra? I don’t actually know how all of this works, so Im just making guesses right now.
And the exercise part, ooof. It didn’t use to be so hard, goodness grace, Im Really out of shape. Tho, I guess the added kgs are impacting me too. Im starting slow, mostly stretching + some squats, some shorter video exercises, the kind. I know it'd probably help to make a regime, but that's only gonna make me miserable, so for now Im setting myself a goal of just Doing Something everyday and whenever I feel stronger, I'll just do more on the day. Otherwise the pressure I put on myself might kill any fun or motivation Id have.
This is pretty much just my personal rambling, which I might turn into a bit of a diary to help myself keep track and all (its weirdly easier to just type up a tumblr post than open up a notebook and write it down? Huh...), so like if anyone got through this whole post, damn, thank you, I guess, hah. If you have any tips, I'd be glad to read them! ^^
Let's see how long this bout of motivation lasts me 😂🙈

Today, or at least, up to now everything is going on nice:
University went nice
I have eaten healthy and if everything goes nice I'll menage to stay in calorie deficit without diet or starving myself
I have also menage to finally finish my bottle of water during school class ✨
I'll reach 9k steps probably and if I can/feel to I'm gonna fo a little workout
Also tonight I'm gonna study Korean
Yeah.... everything is going on nice, finally I would say

On my lunch break, just barely stayed under calorie limit for the meal. (I work fast food) I’ll buy some fruits and veggies after work so I can meal prep. I’d like to treat myself once a month or maybe twice a month to start out. Not sure yet.
I really want to lose the weight this time. I managed to lose twenty pounds a few years ago, but I’ve since gained it all back and then some. I know that I can do this. It’s just another list of habits to incorporate…
Habits are hard but so worth it. I’m fighting tooth and nail to build positive ones and shatter my toxic ones. I self sabotage so much, and it’s familiar. I can get through this. One day at a time.

Yesterday I said no more sobriety counter?? That was high nonsense. I cannot be smoking every day!! I'm gonna keep the counter because I do need to cut down.
Lost! Not much, I'm still in the same loose range which SUCKS but, whatever. 314.4lbs is it right now!
Pulled more money out of savings for self indulgence 😭 I'm losing my flow here. I think I'm slipping into a depression, but I have to just turn that shit around before it gets too far!!!
Anyways, always positive vibes, and I can be a whiny bitch but, things are good. Love y'all 💗🌸

How I lost 60lbs in 4 months:
Since some people asked about it, I figured I'd make a well written post. English is not my first language, so apologies if something doesn't make sense!
So, I went from 216lbs to 154 in 4 months (16/11/2023-> 19/3/2024) after started topamax (migraine medication, it reduces hunger)
.Tbh it doesn't really feel like it's that impressive or "concerning", having started at a higher weight losing the first 10lbs was really easy.
I went from bingeing everyday to restricting cold turkey, the first 3 days were the hardest but from then everything gets easier.
So, my habits:
OMAD and/or no more than 500 cals on school days
800 cals on the weekend
burn ~300 cals on school days by walking
eat healthy. No junk, doesn't matter if it's low cal
36h fast between Sunday and Monday
24h fast between Thursday and Wednesday
if you are hungry you can eat, any amount is better than a binge
That's literally it. It worked pretty well, I was able to go throughout Christmas without gaining..had a few binges due to getting too high but I didn't stress over it too much.
There isn't a magic trick to weight loss or willpower, the biggest motivator to stick to my rules (besides OCD) was thinking about how I've been treated for being fat... people just don't like you. Life has significantly improved c:
