*sighs loudly* so i Was going to draw them but turns out my own design is too difficult for me to draw. but i'll be making this post anyway bc this au has been cooking for so long i might as well!

Featherless Flight AU

aka dca avian au where these fucks r BIRDS

(disclaimer this is a sun x moon au. it also deals with heavy themes such as child abuse, death, violence, and. ya know. wutever tws come with the apocalypse (also these will not be talked about in detail in this post))

nothing robotic in them. just feathers, blood, and bones. a lot of that stuff may be lost or break throughout their story! but lemme at least tell u wut they look like (without having my own drawings OTL (i only have a ref for their faces (which im not confident of)))

a quick note for both of their designs, they r both Fully Covered in feathers, including their arms and faces (yes they have arms And wings). the only places that dont have feathers is their lower legs and hands. they have anthropomorphic legs. and their face shape is also similar to a barn owl, as shown here (ignore the lack of mouths, idk wut to give them)

suns design! he has the coloring and general design of a sun conure. hes full of bright reds and yellows, tho the green is replaced with a bit of blue. he has multiple crests around his head that fluff up similar to a cockatiel but theyre in a way that make it look like rays. in the drawing above is wut they look like without their crests raised; that is their default. suns feet r grasping feet which r 2 toes in the front and 2 in the back. sun has high speed wings so aes a lot faster. (if u dont know wut any of this means i recommend u look it up, im a bird nerd) sun is also specifically an omnivore (them having different diets is actually plot relevant)

moons design next. moon is the color of a hyacinth macaw tho his anatomy is closer to an owl. he has one large crest on his head like a cockatoo. its also colorblind! since its anatomy is based mainly off of owls, for moons ability to see at night means he can see less colors. and bc hes more sensitive at night his eyes r always half closed in light, making it look sleepy despite being fully awake. moon has raptor feet with 3 toes in the front and 1 in the back. xis claws r also much larger than suns. moon has passive soaring wings which is better for longer flights. and moon is a carnivore :)

theres also an eclipse but their design is an enigma to me even in my own mind

but back to sun and moon! if anyone is curious moon uses he/it/xe pronouns while sun uses he/it/ae pronouns. they r both aroace and love each other deeply (qpr babyyyyy). sun is genderfluid while moon doesnt give a shit (agender).

sun is more bubbly and energetic. very much high energy bouncing off the walls. hes the kind of optimist where u cant tell if their "bright side"s r trying to help or be condescending. its a master at back handed compliments. heavily a perfectionist and will reach the point of screaming fits if wut he doesnt isnt perfect. ae has a lot of self image issues. ae hides a lot of aers lack of self confidence and doubt behind a wall of "im the best", tho that wall can crash very easily. a bit of a flirt, but mainly bc he just enjoys seeing how ppl react. he takes compliments from everyone but moons compliments r always the best

moon is lower energy and calmer. at least, he acts like it. hes more reserved and if it wasnt for sun he wouldnt have any friends or talk to ppl at all. he fears abandonment and sun is the only person who has stayed with him this whole time and is the only person he truly trusts. is very aggressive towards anyone it doesnt know. despite being shorter than sun (hes 6ft while sun is 7ft) it definitely does a good job at intimidating ppl. over time when xe becomes comfortable with someone xe will eventually calm down and show a bit of a softer side to them. when xes actually calm and likes someone xe can be a bit... chaotic :)

im honestly not sure where ill start their story since ive already thought about their childhood but i also wanna write about their adulthood as well. the story of their childhood mainly deals with the abuse they went through, then with adulthood theyre shoved into an apocalypse bc... y not :) (btw the apocalypse is mainly just bc ive been enjoying apocalypse aus a Lot lately and wanna write one. the child abuse is for their development and to show y they act the way they do. while it will be fun to write their development, i am by no means saying abuse is okay and this topic will be treated carefully and seriously.)

oh theyre also nd as Fuck

but yeah. these r my babies! i hope to at some point start writing the fic so i can show it to u all, but im already in the process of writing another fic, which will be coming out soon!

i just saw a really good post talking about how its kinda unfair to expect everyone to cow down to your muse just because they are powerful and roleplay has never worked like that where everyone is just expected to be submissive towards another muse just because they are evil/powerful/whatever. or they will purposely misinterpret aspects of your muse to make theirs look better or?? something. like. fucking earn the respect and fear.

Even if it takes a lot of work, he promises himself, you and your child that he will try his best.

Old man didn't even think he had it in him.

As worried as he is, he actually is happy.

He loves you and you love him, and while unexpected, it's still such a joyful moment for him.

Tries to show up for every appointment with you, always carries your bag for you.

He's not a great cook, but he still tries to prepare nutritious meals for you, making sure you're well fed.

After the child is born he just wants to show it off to everyone.

walter + henry "masterpost" (canon)

season 1

1x01 they sit together at dinner(?). before wille grabs their attention, they seem deep in conversation and HENRY GLANCES AT WALTER’S LIPS (im delulu ..but not really). this is their first canon interaction. i cannot make this shit up. i’m losing my mind. they sit together in class. they stick close (walter is fucking leaning on henry) at the very first party (after wille’s initiation). they’re both drinking. walter is spotted without henry for like a literal millisecond (idk where his mans went). walter and henry hang with stella and felice (at least until felice runs off to throw up lol) when wille is like,, crowdsurfing (using that term loosely) walter is not with henry mans lost him where is he.. (probably throwing up somewhere idk)

1x02 simon sits between them at lunch.

they sit together in class (on monday? the party was friday.. i assume)

math tests are handed out. they sit close and show their grades to eachother. (comparing results maybe ?)

wille mentions they take private lessons.. together ? over the weekend ? bro i cant defend them. (not that i want to)

henry joins rowing practice. they’re wearing MATCHING SHIRTS. i cannot make this shit up.

they’re both attending rowing practice still when august.. kisses simon (LMAO)

they debatably sit together at the movie night. they’re social distancing for some reason but no one is between them. henry looks over at walter (i’m delulu, he was probably looking at august) after The Jumpscare

1x03 the week after the horror movie (exact day unknown) henry sits with wille in class, but walter is in the seat literally next to him just,, with a space lol

(same week) they work out on the SAME GODDAMN MAT in p.e (either that or their mats are placed so close they don’t show a space.. idk which is gayer tbh)

they stick together during the parents day, but sit in different rows in church (..for some reason?)

after church neither of them are spotted interacting with any adult or even eachother in the background. they went ~poof~

i think you see walter entering his dorm? but it could be a different background actor honestly i don't know

for breakfast the day after: henry mentions to walter that his dad recognized his surname.

“no, i know” “how long have you known?” “i know because my… my dad recognized your surname”

this convo confirms to me that they didn’t know eachother before hillerska.

note: the convo was very light-hearted and henry was smiling (this has lead to theories about their parents having dated in the past, i also heard that uno, walter's actor, confirmed this but i haven't seen this for myself so i'm not sure)

1x04 they sit together while watching erik’s funeral on TV the Society "meeting". henry is never technically explicitly shown to drink or take pills but he seems inebriated and picks up a pack of pills from the table so i'm gonna assume he did both (so much fanfic potential i'm clawing at the walls)

1x05 they’re not sitting together in class, both having 2 desks by themselves until wille joins henry. walter is in the seat directly behind him. (side note: henry is wearing the same goddamn sweater he was at the Society meeting. was it washed or does he just stink of booze in class ? LMAO)

plot explained why they aren’t sitting together !! walter was meant to do a presentation with alexander and therefore left the seat for him.

they sit together again in class. this would be the week after the class they didn’t.

henry attends another Society “emergency meeting” (alexander was caught with the drugs) (this isn't walty but idc)

henry looks stressed/conflicted after the 2nd Society emergency meeting, but walks out with wille. (probably hard for him cause he can tell something’s going on between wille and simon, but pinning it on alexander is also a shitty thing to do)

they(walty) stand together outside before the whole lucia thing starts.

walter is fiddling with something with his left hand. it doesn’t show up in the shot, but henry is right there on his left. (they were obviously having a thumb war /j)

they’re both talking with wille after the lucia thing, but they’re so caught up in their conversations they don’t even bat an eye when wille’s whole life falls apart (it's not funny but it's really fucking funny)

1x06 at breakfast sometime after the video got out. henry and walter are talking abt how wilmon sat together at the movie night and that they talked abt it after.

h “remember the movie night?” w “yeah” h “when they sat next to eachother” w “exactly!” h “we talked abt that” w “yeah we talked abt that!”

(as if they weren’t also sitting next to eachother)

in class sometime that week (tuesday or later) they sit separate in class again. walter is gossiping (or just talking tbh idk) with some other students while henry sits alone. wille sits next to henry and henry attempts small talk with wille to cut the tension) (walty are once again only separated by the aisle lol)

they sit together in church on christmas day (or eve ? i’m not sure honestly)

they also talk together (+vincent och nils) outside church after. henry quickly noticed wilmon hugging (gay noticing gay frfr)

Hi, Rambling cause I woke up at 4 am to wrote this idea.:

Lucio and Wick are problematic idiots in love, the pinning is real. They won't take each other srsly sometimes. Aka the bickering between these two. At first Wick gets intimidated at Lucio's when he has his face covered.. And then you got Wick gets flustered at the moment Lucio unmasked his scarf revealing his face. (Wick is now having bi panic not knowing Lucio is also having Bi panic.)

The two are throwing disguised insults towards each other, when they're secretly competing who gets to fluster the other one. (They don't know they were doing this lmao.)

From every insults becoming a playful banter. The slowly built a trust that took a long time. Until they formed a friendship. They still bicker but instead out of bluntness it became a silly game for them.

Wick taking notes on Lucio's interests and hobbies and learning about them, Wick listening to Lucio lecturing him about cooking, while he helps him chopping vegetables. Lucio doing the same like attempting to listen at the siamese ramblings of rocks collection or historical facts, he just looks at Wick's face and cracks a sligth smile.

Lucio slowly seeing Wick's true self, not his known gentlemeness or a fancy businessman. The same goes for Wick upon seeing Lucio being genuine for the first time, Wick feeling happy he has someonenwho doesn't looks at him for being a law-abiding man but himself.

And this is where I am gonna add the pinch salt of angst here cause I'll be honest they won't be officially together at the sequel au. Even if they tried dating they still have a many responsibilities to hold and tons of conflicts to deal with.

They have already enough to their plate that they might think is not the right time to date especially in a society where.. Anytime would have their reputation destroy. It would effect everything if a secret was out, their occupations, status and their friends/family/close ones/etc.

So yeah Lucio and Wick still remains as friends, they can't be inlove because is tragically impossible because of their fates...

(The two would probably have shared their last kiss as a farewell before going back to their own lives. Oof.)

It does make sense that Wick and Lucio don't get together in the sequel au, considering Homosexuals where.....very little to exist and people where greatly discriminating towards them (im guessing, I'm not a history expert, please do not come for me in my sleep)

But in the sequel au, Nia wouldn't allow them not to be together. IF I make Carmen alive still in the sequel au, Carmen would be the one setting up private dates for Wick and Lucio. If Carmen is dead in the sequel au, then it's Nia who's setting up the private dates.

Nia isn't an expert with love, she's a expert in explosives. However thay won't stop her from trying to make the most romantic date ever for the two.

But yeah, I'll say this again, if there was a movie between these two I would eat it up

“give it here.” he grabs it easily popping it off making you stick your tongue at him, “oh wow imma big strong man.” you joke around but thank him before taking a swig.

“what’s on your mind.” he questions, which you hated how he always knew when something is up. you smile softly up at him, taking another sip.

“just thinking, ya’ know me.” a soft laugh escapes your lips. “serious question though jj.” your eyes connect, him waiting for this serious topic.

“and dont laugh, but do you think im pretty. wait no that came out wro- i mean. i know im pretty but like am i pretty like maybe someday someone would actually like or hell if that bullshit love is real... could happen?” you ramble off taking a few gulps of the beer out of anxiety. pulling your vape out the top of your bathing suit.

you puff on it as jj looks at you, “y/n, dude you are like the coolest chick ive ever fucking met.” you blush at that rolling your eyes.

you sit up onto your knees, “your only saying that because you’re forced too.” you finish your beer, tossing it in the trash.

he stands up after you, “that’s not true. and beside’s your not even being truthful.” you turn back at him shocked. why is he reading your mind?

“i need another beer.” you mutter walking towards the top of the boat. you grab another beer popping it open, watching as we made ways back towards john b’s.

you probably were gonna crash here tonight, not in the mood to go home tonight. john b neverminded, he enjoyed your company. it was nice having him, we both just clicked when we met.

you guys pulled up to john b’s, him docking the boat as the rest of you get off. “hey, kieee.” you call out to her, her eyes finding yours. you slip closer to her, whispering.

“hand me another beer.”

she giggles at you before slipping out another one, cracking it open. you kiss her cheek before jumping on top of the hammock. john b plops down beside you as the rest of the crew sat around, besides jj who stood staring.

everyone began chatting away, so you nudge john b. his head flickers towards yours, a soft smile on his face.

“do you care if i crash here tonight?” you bit my lip, lifting your legs over his to get more comfortable.

“yea, dude of course. you know this already.” what you didn’t notice was how jj was staring the two of you down, an unsettling feeling arose him.

that night consisted of getting absolute pogue wasted. you were currently thrown over jj’s shoulder, fits of laughter erupts you. “put me down jj! i’ll throw up all over you.”

a scream left your lips when you were tossed into john b’s arms. “good day madam.” he fakes a posh accent as you slap his face away. your feet finally on the ground.

kie tried hiding behind pope, but your glare was hard not to notice. “KIE!” you rush after her, finally jumping onto her letting her hit the ground. she tries to push you off but you start tickling her.

considering she was the one who started it, drunk bitch. it end when pope scoops you up, allowing kie to calm down. “im so tired of all you just picking me up whenever ‘cause im short.” you flip them off.

jj hands you the bottle of liquor, settling beside you. “then grow.” your eyes flicker towards him with the most annoyed expression.

“tHeN gRoW-” you shove his head, “fuck off” you snicker before taking a swig of the liquor. the buzz was above reach, you were definitely feeling good.

everyone was further away talking, so all thought process left your mind and you open your mouth. “ya’ wanna know what I have been thinking about earlier?”

jj’s eyes flicker towards yours waiting for you to continue.

“i wanna have sex, like good sex. movie sex. like someone to just like actually do umm...” you ramble off, coming to sense of what you just spilled. your eyes turn towards jj and he has a unreadable look.

“you want someone to do what?” he leans closer to you, eyes never leaving yours. you stay frozen in the same spot, responding “someone to make m-me feel good.”

his hand grips your wrist pulling you towards the house, luckily going unnoticed by the group. as you enter the door, your question him.

“where are we going jj?” he pushes you through the door of the shared guest room you both took turns having at john b’s. he locks the door behind him, before turning and staring down at your shorter frame.

“if you don’t want to do this, we dont have too... but im pretty sure i can fulfill your thoughts.”

without a beat you flew towards him, his hands scoop your thighs up. mouths clashing together, tongue swirling as he laid you down on the bed. “wa-wait, what about them?”

he stares down with a smile, “fuck it.” and with that his mouth is back on yours. you giggle as his tongue swipes over your neck, a feeling rose within you as he continued.

“h-hey wait.” you sit up startled, taking jj back. he questions you as you stare at him a panic in your eyes.

“i dont wanna become one of your random hookups jj, we are best friends.” you confess, the soft tone made jj settle beside you. pulling you close.

“i have known you for a good while now n/n, and i think we both know you aren’t a random hookup.” his eyes focused on the rings placed on your fingers. you watch him fidget with certain ones.

“duh, but i don’t know. what if this changes things between us?”

he scoots up a little, free hand pushing your chin up. “if anything changes it’ll only be for the better. i care about you anyways.”

“jj wa-wait.” you sit up, tears filling your eyes. not knowing why all of sudden you felt nervous or scared. you’ve been best friends with jj for years, he’s seen you naked before but right now.

“he-hey.” he immediately stops, sitting in front of you hands cupping your cheeks. “what’s wrong? what’s going on in your head?”

you stare at him tears spilling out, lip quivering. “im so sorry. i just told you that a-and i don’t know why i all of a sudden freaked out.”

he stares at you hard, wiping the fallen tears. “now tell me what’s really going on?”

you hated how he always new, always. your face never able to mask your expressions, your own personally enemy. yet, jj somehow always knew. he knew anytime something bothered me.

you sigh, allowing yourself to finally break the ice. “i like someone.”

his eyes furrow, then you see his features change. “then why are you trying to do this if you like someone else?”

a soft giggles escapes your lips, “oh that’s funny?”

you now glare at the boy, sniffling slightly. “jj stop. that’s not what i meant.”

he glares back, “then what? who do you like?”

you bit your lip softly, eyes leaving his as you spoke. “you.”

jj was taken back for a moment, before he sat beside you. he pokes you in the side making you jump slightly.

he smiles slightly before looking you in the eyes, “i like you too, dumbass.”

your heart warmed with those words, “is that why you got all jealous for a second, dumbass?”

he jokingly mocks you before his lips landed back on yours again. “that’s my girl.”

You're braver than me for mentioning Khoa and Joker parallel in this hellsite that very much hate Joker lol. Im holding myself back from pointing out the same thing everytime i read Khoa story in fear someone gonna attack me. But anyway what do you think are the differences between their relationship (ghostbat & batjokes) since they're quite similar with each other. Cause tbh with you the way many describe ghostbat here feel just like they're describing batjokes instead

Ngl, this is one of the things that both depresses me and pisses me off about the current state of fandom. It sucks to hear you're too afraid of getting attacked over expressing a personal opinion on a literal blogging platform, built for this express purpose... regarding fictional characters and within a fandom, which is supposed to be fun. The block button and the filtering options exist for a reason though; I tag my stuff accurately so that people can blacklist, and I don't mind if people block me (I'm quite liberal with it myself). It's just part of curating your little niche, so I definitely encourage doing the same, Anon. Besides, despite the hellsite having its downsides, I've interacted with very reasonable and fun people as well, who dislike Joker or Batjokes but are fully capable of treating others with maturity and respect.

That being said, I agree that Batjokes and Ghostbat share a lot of similarities. I guess that for some it affords the fascinations of this type of dynamic for Bruce without the baggage Joker's character would unavoidably bring (both within Universe, and within fandom). However, there's definitely some essential differences between Ghostbat and Batjokes. Perhaps the most important consequence of them is that unlike Batjokes, Ghostbat has significantly higher chances of not ending in tragedy.

The thing about Joker is that, despite how seemingly desperate for attention and in love with Batman he canonically is, he also... hates Bruce's guts. And I'm making the distinction between 'Batman' and 'Bruce' because Joker himself makes it. Joker needs Batman on a fundamental level. He perceives his own current identity as having been shaped and defined by Batman, and he sees Bruce, the person underneath the mask, as the source of potential weakness and a threat to the Bat's existence. That's because Joker thinks of his own humanity as useless and weak, having decided to discard it and stomp it out. He then proceeds to try and do the same with Bruce's. This has literally been their main conflict since Death of the Family onwards.

Khoa also takes issue with Bruce being driven by emotion. He also considers it a weakness-- Bruce's need to save people, his vigilantism having revenge at its roots instead of a desire to perfect an art. However, Ghostmaker wasn't a direct result of Bruce's actions (accidental or not), like Joker is. Khoa's identity is much more stable and independent, not irrevocably intertwined with Bruce's Batman to the pathological degree Joker's is; and as a result, he's less extreme about it. Khoa can allow for disagreement without resorting to destroying Bruce's life, whereas Joker (at least of now) cannot allow any compromises, any pause from conflict-- because he needs it. Khoa, however, is able to stop and make peace. He challenges Bruce and his need for control just enough, right up to the point of fully enabling Bruce's darkness and self-destructiveness. Joker never stops. He keeps escalating the trauma, the horrors; a pit of knives Bruce keeps throwing himself into.

In a way, shipping Ghostbat is indulging in a dynamic similar to Batjokes, but one that can have a happier ending. Bruce can be a person with Khoa, whereas Joker would tear vulnerability to shreds. The parallels between Joker War and Ghostmaker's introduction arc are so interesting to me also because they showcase this from the start. The final confrontation with Joker, in Batman (2016) #100, has Joker stab Bruce in the back and then almost cut his face off, talking about how he'd then have "to start from scratch." Joker is tearing everything down to have Bruce rebuild it-- alone. The final confrontation with Khoa also includes him telling Bruce he's not enough, he's weak, he needs to become stronger; it also includes being stabbed in the back, but while in a fair fight that has rules. And then Bruce wakes up to Khoa sowing up the wounds he himself inflicted.

That's the crucial difference between the ships, I would say. Despite their disagreements, Bruce and Khoa are on the same side, and Bruce can expect to survive showing weakness to Khoa. Joker is, paradoxically, on the side of Batman alone and also against Bruce. That's not to say it couldn't be different, and that a happier ending is impossible to imagine for them too-- but it's a lot more complicated. Personally, I enjoy Batjokes so much because of how difficult a relationship would be. It inevitably has to involve Joker allowing himself to be human (since otherwise he would not allow Batman to be) and that's such a heavy and complex deconstruction of trauma that's fascinating to delve into.

Hope this was interesting to read through! There's a lot more stuff to say about the differences between Khoa and Joker as characters and their brand of psychopathy, and how that impacts the dynamic with Bruce, but I'm waiting for Batman Inc. and their interaction there to see where DC takes it. (Please let it be good.)

Would start college undecided, ends up actually majoring for a psych degree. Riddles overblot traumatized his ass so badly that he wants to be able to help people before they get to that point. He attends culinary classes in his free time, but doesn’t minor in anything.

Cater

I don’t think he would go to college, but I do think he’d end up taking a course online to get a certification in social media management but other than that. I think he works as a social media manager most of the time, either for a big company or for himself as a YouTuber, and then probably teaches guitar to kids for extra cash.

Ace

Ace would be tryina go to college on a basketball sponsorship and end up as a philosophy major. He broke his leg in one game and that basically ended his career so now he’s gotta pick something else and philosophy is an easy degree. Eventually drops out and works for Azul instead

Deuce

Deuce has said he wants to be a magic police officer man so he’s doing whatever that entails in twisted wonderland. I’m from America and our police training is like 6 weeks long and you don’t need a degree but I’d imagine it’s very different based on what everyone says. I 100% think he achieves this goal though

Savanaclaw:

Leona

He wouldn’t go to college except for the fact that he doesn’t wanna go back to the sunset savanna so he decides to major in political science and minor in linguistics. He spends another 7 years completing a 4 year degree before he just goes home. Ends up being the diplomatic emissary for his kingdom and improves relations incredibly fast

Ruggie

Ruggie is going where Leona is going, so he’s an undecided major for the first two years, just taking any classes that line up with Leona’s schedule, then ends up finishing his time by majoring in social work and community development. Uses these skills to take Leona’s money and sink it into his community at home

Jack

I feel like he’s at trade school learning to be a carpenter. When he’s done he probably lives off the grid in a cabin in the forest making handmade chairs and selling them and his homegrown fruits and veggies at the farmers market/art fairs

Octavinelle:

Azul

He majors in business, minors in music. It should work but it does and he excels in both classes. Probably ends up running like five businesses and making a fuckton of money. Once he graduates he takes a year off to travel, then goes back to college to get another degree in culinary arts, with a minor in graphic design. He doesn’t worry about money because he’s a loan shark at school.

Jade

He majors in forensic science and minors in botany. When he graduates he ends up working for Azul again, but not with the degree. Ends up going back to college two more times, once to get a degree in pathology (which is easy, as forensics translate well to that) then to trade school to get a degree in culinary arts. This perturbs everyone he goes to school with. Ends up being a chef at one of Azul’s restaurants.

Floyd

He goes for basketball, then gets bored, switches his major like 50 times, then decides to drop out and work Azul instead. Jade gives him tips on how to avoid…conflict. Azul pays him well and continues to be amusing so Floyd continues working for him.

Scarabia:

Kalim

Kalim goes to college for astrology. He doesn’t minor in anything. He gets his associates degree and calls it quits and goes home to do Kalim things. Literally never uses his degree

Jamil

Jamil doesn’t go to school, but he does spend a few years training in martial arts. After he’s done and finds out that - hey, no, you don’t have to be responsible for Kalim - then he goes to college to become a dancer. Vil hires him to be a backup dancer for him in both music videos and on tour

Pomefiore:

Vil

I’m torn on saying he doesn’t go to school and saying he becomes a triple major. Here’s the thing, artists popular in their youth are kind of a limited time commodity until they’re like, 50 and get popular again. So Vil going to college is simultaneously a great investment and a horrible decision. I think in the end he takes non-credit college classes in film, production, music, visual art, and graphic design, but never gets a degree. He does use the classes to further his art though.

Rook

He majors in Ethology. He gets a doctorate in it. He doesn’t use this in a professional setting. Becomes a private eye instead.

Epel

Tries to go home instead of college but his family insists he goes. Ends up majoring in agricultural studies and minoring in alchemy. Uses this to create magical gmos and stretch crops in a way that could be supplementary to food deserts.

Ignihyde:

Idia

He doesn’t need to go to college, or want to go to college, so instead he just codes video games. His games are massively popular and spawn several franchises. He also creates the twisted wonderland equivalent of five nights at Freddy’s

Ortho

Can he go to college? He says he can! Majors in history and minors in English. Uses his degree to tutor kids online

Diasomnia:

Malleus

He goes to college because Lilia insists that he should. He majors in creative writing and minors in analog technology (verses Technomancy). He doesn’t use this to further his kingdom, but instead himself. He ends up penning beautiful poetry and releasing it under a fake name. He takes the analog technology course so he can always repair his tamagotchi

Silver

Because of Lilia’s insistence (and malleus attendance) he goes to college as well. He starts in creative writing but he finds that magical healing sounds really appealing and transfers to that with Lilia and Malleus’s blessings. He becomes insanely talented at it and in particular studies similar cases to his affliction to find a cure. It also comes in hand as one of Malleus’s retainers.

Lilia

He majors in teaching and specifically zones in on either teaching elementary school or on history. Tries to take a course in culinary arts as well, he is banned from this. Once Silver and Sebek are grown, he uses his degree to get back to work and teach a younger generation.

Sebek

I want to say he does whatever Malleus does, but I don’t think it’s true. I think he studies marine biology. Probably infodumps everything about it to everyone who will listen. This doesn’t come in handy in any way, but he’s passionate so it doesn’t matter

major spoilers for the ending of the novel

my headcanons of kim suho's body

so considering that kim suho only eats gimbap and even then he only eats it because it's free/cheap. i would think that his body is like, very skinny? but he's still broad because he works in a construction site of course. i think his body is also very malnourished. get that boy some protein!!

anyways, compared to suho being in lloyd's body is 5cm shorter than javier, i think that suho being in kim suho's body would be more shorter. i still haven't figured out how much shorter, but he's shorter now that's for sure. why? the laurasia continent is presumably inspired by/based on europe (well, i assume so) and generally europeans have a taller height average than those in asia. like, kim suho is an average height korean male living in seoul, but in laurasia? yeah nah, everyone's gonna have to look down at him im sorry. also i either hc him as being shorter or on par with alicia in height, because i think it's funny. imagine the insufferable man who sacrificed himself and came back is now shorter than you and in a different body, yeah.

ok coming back to point number one, lloyd is already used to eating three meals a day by now, he's been in laurasia for years so of course he is. but kim suho's body doesn't. i think it would fucked him up somewhat, especially because his brain is used to it but his body doesn't, so when he tries to eat he either wants to throw it up or actually do throw up. i think his old-new-old(??) body have to adjust to this sudden increase intake of food. lloyd is so frustrated because of this and keeps getting into weird angry bursts and he is so sorry. *scribbles on note* make marbella patiently encourage lloydsuho in this aspect. make it a bonding moment, make lloydsuho talk about his admittedly bad but needed habits in seoul-

im also gonna astral project my back pain into kim suho's body because i can okay. like, carrying concrete on your back everyday? not having the best on site medical attention? presumably small injuries that get gloss over constantly? bad health insurance contracts? yeah that man is going to have back pain and other places pain. that mans body ache. it's so different from lloyd's that he keeps getting whiplash from the changes of his body, how his mental state is now so different to his bad and bruised old body. lloydsuho all throughout this is just, this is fine, i think, i don't know there's no modern medicine here-

oh! not to forget that he lost all of his swordsmanship skills, especially mana heart and mental asrahan technique. sure he could have some leftover instincts of being a sword master but remember, he was a fraud, that man used RP to go up. and honestly? he genuinely doesn't want to go through all that training again, he wants to have a break thank you very much. besides, he have javier who'll protect him (even though it's always been a failure but let's talk about that in a another post.) and other people who will take care of him. also he fought king of hell, he's gonna hang that over everyone to get him out of work/training and everyone knows that's just an excuse but they'll indulge him anyways because he did kinda died, y'know? if the young master doesn't want to do it, who will argue with him and win?

everyone's reaction to this... lloyd would be so conflicted. like, that is the young master, you can feel it, you can feel the viciousness and crooked mind leaking out of that body. but also now you have to look down at him if you want to maintain eye contact. they don't know if this decreased or increased his intimidation factor. also his body is weak now. before, he can dig for hours with a shovel. now, if he goes for one hour his arms would start to shake. this is because in seoul there was modern construction equipment that could help him, now? it's just pure labor, and his body is not up for the task right now. lloyd promises to himself to be better because this is his specialty, and he is going to get better damn it. (javier is watching him 24/7 because fakelloyd-suho-lloyd is weak now, he'll be damned if he dies after all that).

also wanna add in, because that lloydsuho's body is very weak compared before going into the reincarnation gate, everyone is going to take advantage of that and carry him around, much to lloyd's utter disgruntlement. oh, the young master is panting? here go on my back. the young master is tired after flying around with yongong? i'll help you *puts lloyd on their shoulder*. there was this one time where someone swooped lloyd into a princess carry and everyone in the vicinity had to witness in world record breaking speed of how lloyd's face became slightly red. it's not much, but it's lloyd, the one who straight up lies without a trace of guilt, who puts up an iron plate on his face. so of course it was a spectacle. (lloyd was surprised of how unconsciously he did that, maybe the peacefulness was getting to him, he didn't really mind it).

actium update sunday

yeah it's been a hot minute since I did this!! Actium has currently released 112 pages (not including covers and other illustrations), which mostly shows poor pacing and a lack of experience on my end lol, but is also an accomplishment! i am almost done with chap 3, i just have one more update to release for that... which is unfortunately in the sketching phase still. whoops.

speaking of massive page counts being a symptom of poor planning lol, i am currently rewriting a lot of the future chapters i have planned, with special attention to chap 4. chap 4 introduces the main conflict that every character going forward will be competing for, and so i need to make sure it's solid, that i have no possible questions or vagueness about it. other than that, i'm rescripting a lot of things, cutting down on page counts and learning to use my panels more effectively. this is something that i will continue to get better and better at the more i do it, so i'm okay with the fact that it will probably change in the future as well.

to be completely honest, i was really throwing myself into a wall trying to rewrite, just getting stuck because i was so attached to certain sequences and ideas. i've finally gotten over that, and a part of that was changing the way i thought about actium's story structure! actium was always going to have three acts, but my problem was that i was looking at them as three acts of one "book," so to speak, and thus the structure wasn't really working. actium is big, it has a lot of ground to cover (a lot that i should cut probably lol), and thus the 3 act structure was leaving me treading water in some places... so i just changed it from 3 "acts" to three "books"! Thinking of actium as a trilogy honestly helped me slot a lot of my puzzle pieces into place? no idea why, but it's given me a clearer idea of that i want to accomplish going forward. it will all be released under one account and such, i'm not splitting it up other than mentally.

actium was always going to be an amateur passion project, something i love and embrace. it will show my flaws as a writer and artist (to an almost unbearable degree lol), but the only way for me to ever do or get better at anything is to dive in head first. I've learned a lot already from these 112 pages, and I know that it will just continue to get better and better as I go on. but, of course, making sure that my foundation is solid and fixing up my outline now will really help with that.

in terms of uploading, it will happen when it happens lol. im job hunting for a second job unfortunately rn, so my time will just be what it is. i might start uploading just the lined uncolored pages on patreon when i finish them, or i'll just put all my pages on patreon until i have enough of a chapter's backlog to start releasing them publicly. in terms of the website, it is still down, i just need to dedicate the time to rebuilding it off of wix, and i've been more focused on creating the actual pages to learn neocities or wherever i'm gonna host it. it's all very messy lol

there's also the light novel chapter where megumi and yuji stalk gojo at a maid cafe, so maybe the reader works at the maid cafe, and the very stoic but handsome megumi catches their eye. this scenario could also be applicable to yuji x reader or gojo x reader.

there's also an original scenario i was thinking of cuz megumi likes reading (specifically non fiction) so what if the reader was a worker at a book store or a librarian. maybe they know about sorcery already because they read a non-fic book about it and recognize his uniform when he walks in.

also i haven't seen a megumi x tsumiki's friend!reader, esp considering that one girl when tsumiki is confronting megumi about bullying lol. this one could have an interesting conflict bc that girl urged tsumiki to do the test of courage that ended up getting her cursed! so then how would megumi deal with his love interest (the reader) also being the person somewhat at fault for his sister's demise?

not a meet-cute prompt but generally i think it would b interesting in any megumi fic for gojo to be a conflict. like, as megumi's father figure, he doesn't want megumi to end up like him and suguru, so he's very hesitant about letting megumi fall in love with someone since "love is the most twisted curse of them all." but i think in the end, he might realize that love/the reader is exactly what will stop megumi from turning into suguru, so gojo ends up giving the reader his blessing.

summary: reader is a student at jujutsu high in 2006, alongside geto and gojo. reader is from the kamo clan and uses blood manipulation. they've been taught to keep a very strict diet to optimize the viscosity of their blood. just like how geto hates the taste of cursed spirits, reader hates the taste of their diet. they fall in love with each other, because they've finally met someone that makes them feel understood.

if you want to go even darker, the reader's technique may involve cutting (kind of like marie from gen v)

conflicts/themes:

what's the point of fighting for a world that's done nothing for you in return? ("what has the world done for me lately?")

sugar makes blood thicker, which i can imagine is harder to control for a blood manipulation user

gojo satoru is the opposite of the reader: he eats however he pleases, which includes lots of sweets, so it's hard for the reader to be around him/doesn't like him. as a result, it's also hard for geto to have to pick sides between his best friend and the reader

ending: canon ending; geto chooses reader over gojo; they turn evil and run away together with nanako and mimiko. although it could also be interesting for geto to choose gojo over the reader, or if there's somehow a happy ending for everyone here.

summary: this is pretty self-indulgent lol this one's for everyone who wants to heal everyone's trauma and just have a happy ending lmao. i had this idea of the reader either being a sorcerer or a curse who has the power to grant one wish but in doing so sacrifices themselves (they die). so, obviously, they're in high demand by everyone:

megumi wants to heal his sister

gojo wants to bring suguru back

geto wants to rid the world of non-sorcerers

toji wants his wife back

shoko wants her friends back

etc

some situations the reader may find themselves in are being held at the school so that nobody can use their power unless absolutely necessary. or maybe they were captured by the curse users.

technicalities about the reader's power: they can't grant their own wish, but they have full autonomy over whose wish they can grant, meaning the only way that someone could get their wish granted is through befriending and persuading the reader.

conflicts/themes:

characters having to choose between their wish (which kills the reader) and their fondness of the reader (wanting the reader to stay)

will they truly be happy if their wishes are granted?

how does the reader feel about being the method of people's desires but not actually being the desire?

Can I just say that Im looking forward to Yuuka fighting magic people with nothing but her fists? Like, yeah, Yuuken manages to keep up with nothing but a wooden sword but Yuuka? Homegirl here has nothong but her fist and is probably gonna be punching arrogant magic people in the face and honestly, I think that would be both cool and hilarious.

I actually don’t think Yuuka will be fighting anyone with her fists. At least, I know she probably won’t be punching anyone 😅

She may practice a martial art, but the particular one that she does is judo, which is a very defensive (NOT offensive) discipline that often involves throwing. The rules and philosophy associated with judo specifically dictate that you should not intentionally harm your opponent, you cannot kick or punch them, and you cannot touch their faces. It would tarnish her status as a practitioner of judo to break that code.

I’m also interested in seeing how Yuuka conducts herself and handles conflicts compared to Yuuken 🤔 though just from the first chapter, I don’t think of Yuuka as the type to throw the first hands with people that are rude (no matter how much the English-speaking fandom thinks of her as a cool tomboy girlboss) 💦 We’ll have to see when more of the Episode of Savanaclaw comes out.

clone high final episode spoilers below! (9 n 10)

holy fuck im so happy. even though im super annoyed how they keep throwing a bunch of really good ideas for relationships and plot in the trash- im just so happy with what we got.

OK FIRST EPISODE 9??? THE ANIMATION WAS SO FUCKING GOOD AND I HAD TO PAUSE BECAUSE WHEN WESLEY WAS FLAILING IN THE SEA, IT WAS DAMN smooth and pleasant to watch, as morbid as it sounds lol. that whole scene with the comic-esque vibe was so so pleasing.

and that whole episode was super like, sad but funny. i literally stood up and yelled when Mr. B was getting near the edge. like i probably woke up every single one of my neighbors in like.. a 50 mile radius it was that bad im so fucking annoying about this show.

BUT THEN SCUDS SAVED HIM AND I WAS SO HAPPY, LIKE THEYRE LITERALLY AN OLD COUPLE, AND LITERALLY THEY’RE FATHERS TO THEIR CLONE KIDS AND THEYRE ALL SUCH A BIG HAPPY FAMILY AND AUGHHHH im gonna draw family stuff with them so bad. I WISH THESE EPISODES CAME OUT BEFORE FATHERS DAY IT WOULD’VE BEEN PERFECT.

ok, episode 10 i have to take a deep breath with. i am VERY happy. and idk if it was because the bar was so low, or if it was because i was so anxious i was vomiting everywhere because i needed content so bad, but i am overjoyed.

Also, ABE AND JFKS FREINDSHIP HOLUYDBIUJEWNFJKNF oh my god not to be autistic but i was stimming so fucking hard WHEN THEY HUGGED, I WAS LIKE YES FINALLY. FINALLLLLYYY!!! theyre my sweet boys and THAT WHOLE FRIEND GROUP HAS ME IN TEARS. LIKE abe and Confucius are already bros, as we see them playing in the school yard, and JFK and Confucius are already bros from the sleepover episode, but NOW JFK AND ABE ARE BROS. FUCK. YEAH. oh and tophers there too. i like how they treat topher tbh. like hes just there until he says something out of pocket and they’re just like stfu.

but with the girls friend group.. oof. i honestly loved them so much, especially with cleo, but NOW ITS FUCKED. and its not even joans fault tbh. like when i was watching the scene where frida dropped joan i was like “damn” but then, JOAN MENTIONS HOW SHE HELPED EVERYONE BEFORE AND I WAS LIKE “DAYYYYYYUUMMMM UR RIGHT” so now im conflicted. But again like??? bruh i would choose cleo too tbh lmao.

Also, i’m glad clone college isn’t real. because jfk mentions about taking shelly to .. biology? which i think is a only 1st year class. and in the original clone high everyone is like “omg u hit puberty over summer” Which i feel is typically something thats potrayed in media AFTER middle school. but i could be wrong so, idk. just really glad they didn’t do the clone college bc i hate change. also theyre 16 lmao. OR MAYBE THEY WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT... in the future when highschools done?? IDK. IDC.

anyway. im scared for joans friend group and i fucking love joan, and i am in love with abe, toph, jfk, and Confucius’s little bromances and augh. im so happy. and THE CLIFF HANGER WASN’T TERRIBLE ALSO, IN MY OPNINON.

im just glad joanabe wasn’t endgame. i mean, i would be pretty happy because im a sucker for childhood friends to lovers but also NOOOOOO joan deserves better. so. yeah 10/10

i actually have so much material about this particular plot that i had no idea how to go about putting it down in a coherent way, so in the end i tried to write the kind of summary you would find on MDL, but i realize that without the romance part it's probably not very appealing ;;;;;;;;

im still not sure of how to make sense of everything i have in my head so im just gonna share my very messy notes about jimmysea's characters and their relationship (only them for now because if i did it for everyone we would be here for a really long time ;;;;;;;). here we go!!!!

sea: a bright young man who always has a smile on his face and seems to have no worries in the world. his happy-go-lucky personality and the fact that everything comes easy to him can make him come off as a bit arrogant, but he's actually surprisingly observant and caring. when he was 17 years old, his father died in the ER after a car accident, and because the other party involved was a boy from a wealthy family, sea has been convinced ever since that his father's death was due to the doctors choosing to prioritize the boy even if his condition was less severe. this loss inspired sea to study medicine to make sure that what happened to his father didn't happen to anyone else, but it also made him resentful, which is why he struggles to respect the hospital rules. this often puts him in conflict with earth, who thinks sea's natural talent isn't enough to justify his lack of discipline.

jimmy: the only medical student to have completed his specialization under the mentorship of jane's father and to have actually earned his respect, jimmy is now one of the most renowned surgeon in the country despite his young age. his charming and gentle personality makes him be liked and respected by everyone, but his workaholism has earned him the nickname of 'the ghost of [insert name] hospital', as he seems to hardly ever leave the place. after being left at the altar by the woman he loved, jimmy has given up on relationships entirely, throwing himself into work and constantly trying to dodge his sister's attempts to set him up with someone. his walls however start to slowly crumble under the power of sea's smile and small caring gestures.

basically on one of jimmy's usual late night at the hospital, he wonders into pediatric to discuss a case with mix and finds sea reading a bed time story to a small group of children. just like jimmy, sea too seems to be reticent to go home, so night after night they end up keeping each other company and spending more and more time together. at first it's just the two of them working in the same room, jimmy doing paperwork and sea studying for his upcoming medical exams, but eventually sea manages to coax him out of the hospital, first by taking him out to eat and then by taking him to sea's favorite places around town. sea is also full of small caring gestures that make jimmy's heart tremble: he leaves jimmy's favorite coffee on his desk for him to find after a particular rough night, he forces jimmy to take a break and get some rest, he cuts fruits for jimmy and is mindful of everything that has to do with jimmy's hands. as they get closer tho, jimmy also realizes that there's a lot more behind sea's smile than it first appears: sea's mother never quite recovered from the loss of her husband, and after three years from his death she started developing sever dementia, to the point she can no longer recognize sea and sometimes even mistakes him for her husband when sea smiles

in my head their relationship is a very slow burn as they help each other heal but also as they try to reconcile their feelings with the fact that they're still a mentor and an intern. earth is also jimmy's best friend and at first he very much does not approve of how close jimmy and sea became, but eventually he comes around
