Happy late Tuesday evening fandom. :) Ahhhh we’ve reached the ‘Feelings’ episode. I remember when it first premiered I lost my damn mind. I don’t have actual cable (cause too damn expensive lol) So I didn’t look up the preview for the next ep. I just watched it next day with Hulu. I went into this episode completely blind. When that scene came up, I went from in shock to laughing my damn ass off. Eric and Melissa get a gold star x 1000 for that scene. For the whole ep really. I can’t wait to delve into this one. I can already tell imma struggle with the gif amount ha Let’s get going.

3x09 Amber

We start off with Jackson and Lucy listing all the ways they’re excited to be graduating from the program. Nolan tagging along not adding to it cause he is stuck a month behind them LOL What happens when you go rogue and don’t listen to your T.O ya turd…but I digress. Lucy has a Lucy-Lesson themed last day planned for her and Tim.

Gotta love her for being herself no matter what. Massive respect. Tells the boys she has a list full of steps to ensure a healthy parting. Of course she does haha That she’s going to make Tim go through every single one of them. I adore this woman so much. She truly is exactly what that man needs I love it so much. Jackson asks how she’s going do this? She laughs and says trickery HA Oh Lucy I love you so.

We join our lovely duo in their shop. Lucy saying how it’s their last shift together. Tim gives her nothing. Her adding kinda crazy huh? He says ‘Not really.’ Oh Timothy fighting the feelings from the jump. Lucy can’t believe he could actually feel this way. Trying to goad him into to saying something. How they’ve ridden shoulder to shoulder for over a year now.

Tim shakes it off saying there will be a new rookie in that seat that’ll annoy crap out of him soon enough. Ok Tim… LOL Like you don’t love her ‘annoying you’ at all. Or talking about your personal life. Lucy keeps pushing it saying ‘So you’re not going to miss riding with me at all?’ Tim continues his deflection saying it’s a job not ‘happy hour’

Does he hear himself? Acting like you’re not going to miss her. Ain’t no one buying what you’re selling Timothy. His reply thrills Lucy though. Flagging all of this behavior as denial. She’s not wrong. It’s not just a river in Egypt as they say. He’s swimming in it doing laps. Tim is feeling like some Lucy like lesson is happening and says what? Lucy disregards him and plays it off with a 'Hmm? Nothing...' Baha

Lucy asks if Tim sees himself as her mentor? He says no. He’s just her T.O. That it’s his job to make sure she’s not dangerously incompetent. When Lucy is released Into the world it’s not a disaster. Did he just decide to be a lying liar when he woke up this morning? Be in an absolute denial about their bond and what he is to her? SMH Oh Tim. Lucy shakes her own head not letting him affect her in the slightest.

Tim tells her he couldn’t wait to get off probation. Lucy replies she is very excited. Then goes into saying it’s important to acknowledge the loss for them both with this. Tim gets SO defensive when she calls it a 'Relationship' So she follows it up with partnership or mentorship LOL Man is seriously in massive avoidance of his feelings about today. He doesn’t understand why she needs closure. Lucy is going to see him at the station the next day as he mentions.

Thus begins Lucy’s list. This starts when he asks what there is to talk about? It's so funny she has a list prepped and is going to make this happen. The second Tim see's this he grabs the list and chucks it out the damn window. Now if only your feelings for her could be dispatched that quickly eh Tim? She says littering is a $250 dollar fine. HA Tim replies that it was worth it. My god these two. Cracks me up so much. It’s like he’s purposely being obstinate so their eventual departure won’t be as hard.

If he’s a dick she won’t miss riding with him. Oh Tim you forget being a dick how this whole thing started my love. Naturally Lucy came prepared af with a second list. I’m dying. Did he really think his girl was only going to have one copy? You trained her Tim. Also Lucy knows you so damn well she made sure to have a second one. I adore them so much my heart may implode with happiness ha Lucy continues on without missing a beat. Like he didn’t just throw out her original copy LMAO

They get an amber alert about a child abduction. The suspect is the husband. They’re going through a messy divorce. He was removed from the hospital due to being a threat. He has a sordid past of drug use and intent to sell. It’s not good…Angela gets ahold of the mother. Says her ex will do anything to get a fix. Even selling their baby. Good lord...

Lucy makes comment to Tim how awful this is. That the mother must be going out of her mind. Tim tries to take a pot shot at psychology again in his reply. Saying how if the parents had properly worked through their separation this could’ve been avoided? Lucy shuts his ass down immediately. She knows he's trying to undermine her list and her psychology prowess. Lucy says no the mother needs to get away from this man asap.

She tells him having easier access to counseling and mental health resources could prevent things like this. Tim seems like he is being a jackass in the moment. I mean he kind of is. BUT I have no doubt he grew up in a house where mental health was discredited by his father. That it was a sign of weakness to have emotions let alone any mental health issues. I’ve said this before we are the product of our environment growing up. Even when we fight against it things still come out.

To Tim growing up psychology was stigmatized I believe. (it was for me too) So naturally his first inclination is to discredit it. Make fun of it because he doesn’t actually understand it. Leave it to Lucy teach him why it is important. How access to help and normalizing having mental health issues is important. Her next line says it all. She could not be more on the nose in her reply above.

Tim tries to turn it around again on her but she is on her shit today. Not to to be trifled with Tim. He knows she is a formidable opponent. When he says later on he’s going to miss riding with her. These are the moments he will miss the most. Her challenging him, standing up to him. Which in turn makes him grow because she shows him the world through a different lens.

Lucy does what she does best. Crushes him with her reply and throws his words back at him in the process. It’s a twofer. That look of his... He knows when she’s got him and he has no recourse. Lucy can’t help but gloat after that. She earned it and has his number. Boy is Tim so very aware of that. She’s got his goat as they say. It’s glorious.

They find out the dad didn’t take the kid. A random woman did. Now the case has shifted in a more stressful way. This portion is what I like to call 'Tell me you’re married when you’re not married.’ A Tim Bradford Edition. Lucy is freaking out waiting for the ID on this woman. Saying they’re wasting time while this baby is out there. Tim tells her she needs to get her head on right in case this goes badly.

Lucy snaps back she’s squared away. Tim disagrees vehemently by replying if she was she wouldn’t have said that… He’ starts out strong then makes the mistake of saying ‘Look you’ve been lucky on the job so far..’ Her face oh my lord. Ready to chew him out and Tim instantly regrets what he says. Love love this moment for him.

He recognizes what he’s said was hurtful and wrong. Then apologizes and says it came out wrong. Good Hubby. Well intended but very wrong. Look at our boy self correcting all on his own. So proud. He then compliments her as his continued apology. Telling her she’s been through hell, stuff that would’ve broken a lot of veteran cops. That being said he tells her a dead kid is different.

That a dead kid will change her forever. We all know he does not want that for her. She’s been through quite enough. Lucy concedes to his point. Saying she hopes their last shift doesn’t end with that. They both look emotional and Tim replies ‘ Me too...’ The most honest he’s been this entire episode with her. He knows she’s upset so he’s wonderful and brings up the list he can’t stand. Knowing it’ll distract her in the best way possible.

She lists off surrounding yourself with people who support, value and energize you. Tim is nodding along thinking he checks all those boxes for her. Then she says it’ll have to wait till later. Oh Lucy this man is all those things for you. You don’t see it just yet. He looks a little hurt she bypasses this. Like he isn't that for her. He supports and values her so much. Him asking her to revisit the list, despite his dislike of it is the epitome of what she just spoke above. Love is blind and not in the best way sometimes haha

Lucy continues on saying to reflect on lessons learned. Good and bad and express gratitude. Tim is nodding along not hating where this is going. Genuinely asking her 'What he taught her that she is grateful for?' Her answer is perfection especially because we know how this episode ends. The absolute best thing he taught her was not to second guess herself. To see the BAMF he noticed from day one. Them reminiscing about Plain Clothes Day is the best.

How one look from him could send her into a tailspin. Tim is in complete agreeance with her assessment. Even smiling thinking about how far she has come. Teaching her to trust her instincts is one of the best gifts he could’ve given her. Especially since it strengthens her resolve to go against him and what he would do. She already had that in her but he reinforced it. Taught her to trust in it even when it didn’t go his way. He couldn’t be prouder of her and this moment is a beautiful reflection of that.

Lucy takes a lovely moment and ruins it for Tim with mention of UC. Saying how trusting her instincts like she does now will be crucial for UC work. We watch the happy proud face devolve into one of worry. Tim asks her if she’s serious about being UC? Lucy seems insulted by this question and says ‘Yeah why? Do you not think I’m tough enough?’ Thinking does he not remember her successful op?

Tim tells her it’s not about being tough. He knows she’s tough. He thinks she’s too sensitive. Lucy looks so damn offended by this. (as she should be) He brings up Tamara and what she’s done for her. Her need to relive their last year plus together. Lucy defends her empathy fiercely. Saying it's what makes her a good cop. Tim tells her yes but not a good UC. Lucy is wounded and says as much 'Ouch…. ' When you know the scene you can see Lucy resetting. Formulating her plan to get back at Tim for what he said.

She starts off with a compliment. Telling him he was right. That he’ll always tell her the truth no matter how painful. Which is all true but Lucy is legit setting him up for this moment. Lulling him in. She gets serious saying she has been hiding behind her checklist all day. That she needs to tell him something she's been avoiding all day. You can see how Tim is almost holding his breath as she continues to speak. Not sure where this is going but having an inkling of it...

Let me start off with this. I truly believe there is a kernel of truth to what she’s saying here. The things she says and brings up are accurate af. The way she assembled this convo on the fly. To me means she’s had this convo before in her head. Her saying it out loud brought some truth to it. S3 is where I believe the the attraction and work flirts were kicked into a very high gear. And now she was no longer going to be his rookie.

I don’t think this would’ve been the right time for them to start IMO. They weren't ready. I’ll always be for the timeline we received and what leads them there after this ep. But to say there isn't feelings of some sort on both sides at this point is foolish. With all they've been through over the last year or so.

The minute Lucy says she has feelings for Tim it starts the overdrive for him. Lucy doesn’t even let him reply. Just steamrolls over him. He can't even get a full sentence in above. Then hits him with another emotional bomb bringing up 2x11. How he saved her life. I mean faking or not she knows the bond that forged for them. So she is starting out STRONG with saying this. Tim is in complete paralysis from the start of this 'confession'

The more she speaks the more he panics. Not because he doesn’t feel the same way. I think she’s nailing everything squarely on the head and he’s freaking out because of that. You watch Eric’s face and the myriad of emotions flitting across it. Goes from confusion, to realization, then he just panics and shuts down. She’s bringing up huge points. Him saving her life that bonded them in a way no one could ever touch.

How he is protective of her, why he doesn’t want her to go into UC is because of his feelings. To me where is the lie in this? There isn't. Now like I said Lucy is clearly doing this to get back at him. What she doesn’t realize is she’s exposing him and that explains his overloaded reaction. She’s exposing feelings he has repeatedly forced down into the depths of his soul.

Because her being his rookie he would never ever cross that line. Nor would I ever want him to. We all know Tim can’t handle his emotions well. Especially when it’s this intense. The one person who can usually guide him is the one provoking it in this moment. I truly believe she fell first. When he was a dumpster fire and there was no way in hell he could’ve reciprocated at the time. It was one way for a little while. But over time Lucy Chen has repeatedly wormed her way into his life. 2x11 was the start of those emotional dominos for him. They've been falling ever since.

I’ve said before Tim doesn’t really understand why he feels the way he does about Lucy. Only that he does and it usually a driving force for him. To Tim in this moment it feels Lucy is calling him out. That she is pulling out this deep dark secret. One he thought he kept hidden away pretty well. This gif above is everything. He is literally malfunctioning at her bringing this up. She has short circuited him and it’s so funny tbh. He can’t process anything she’s saying. Eric you are the king of facial expressions good sir.

The hits keep coming through out the scene and he can’t form a thought. Once he does his replies are so stilted and funny. He’s stumbling over himself. Trying to compliment her and not hurt her feelings. Because even if he does have hidden feelings no way in hell this man is ready for them. To face them or realize what comes with them. It shows so very much in this scene. He’s trying so hard to be delicate about this and not hurt her. I love him for it tbh. Says he's flattered 'She's a great girl. I mean woman. Uhhh....' LOL Even says crap at the end cause he is at a loss for words. She has made him speechless.

It’s then Lucy breaks and laughing her ass off. Poor Tim he was having a DEFCOM 1 panic attack. Trying to be gentle and sweet about his reply. Then she laughs. And he is so so mad at her. The way he says ‘Oh you’re sorry.’ He is not pleased. She just put him through emotional hell and just says she’s sorry. I mean it was a hell of a comeback to what he said to her. Rightfully deserved with how he told her she wasn’t built for UC.

What a straight up lie that was. Really just his desperate fear trying to keep her from it. Lucy got him real good though. Probably the best of her career in that moment. Lucy for the second time that day parrots his words back to him. Uses them against him. The capper to her moment. Listing off all the ways she just pulled off what he said she wasn't capable of. I mean well done madam. You broke him. You broke him real good. He's so upset about it.

Her 'fake' confession comes at a cost though. The tension afterward is palpable. Tim is so visibly upset. It’s not because she got him. I do think that very much is part of it. The other part is the can of worms she potentially opened. She never gave him a real chance to reply. To get his head on right. Because idk he would’ve 100 percent said no to her. Probably would've have some non comittal answer cause it's Tim. But it wouldn't have been a straight up no. Why I say this is because when Tim Bradford is sure of something he is decisive af.

Like the screenwriter question from 3x07. It was an instant and firm no. This he struggled so very hard with it. The looks between them above are *phew* chemistry personified. Never had a ship say so much with just a look. Lucy thinks he’s really mad at her because of the trick itself. Rightfully so why in the hell would she actually think he might have feelings for her?

Lucy says she made it weird didn’t she? Tim deflects and says 'Nope.' She made it weird and knows it LOL. Lucy tries again and says she was just trying to make a point. She starts to backtrack and even in his anger with her he refuses to let her do that. Says not to because if she does it’ll undermine her point. The way she smiles at him. My heart. Takes care of her even when he’s mad. Yeah no feelings there between them….

Then we reach the iconic parking garage scene. The end of an era for them both. Only fitting they do it in a spot that has held some meaningful moments. This scene is the perfect way for them to end this work relationship. One that ended up meaning far more than either of them ever anticipated. Tim denying all day how much he was going to miss riding with her. Waiting till this moment to reveal that wasn't true.

I love how the scene starts. Her saying ‘We did it’ Tim refusing any of the credit per usual says 'No you did it. 'He waits to the very last minute in his eval of her to say he will. Because well Tim. We all know and love him for it. It's a beautiful parallel to Plain Clothes day. A wonderful way to measure the immense progress she has made since that day. When all she did was second guess herself, let Tim rattle her cage most of the time and didn't trust her gut.

It was Tim’s mission to build that confidence in herself. To push her in a way that she would grow and never doubt herself again. Not only that but have the confidence to stand up for her instincts even when they were in stark contrast to his. Why his eval of her is just perfection. The words her soul had been longing to hear. The way he is looking at her while she reads this. Oh my lord. Just look at the man's eyes. Heart eyes for DAYS. Admiration and love shinning in them. Bursting at the seams with pride for her.

You know Lucy has been yearning to hear that from Tim. Long before Plain Clothes Day. Something she wanted to earn from him. Reason being Tim has always been in her corner. Seen her really seen her since day one. Had faith in her like no one in her life ever has before. She grew up starved for attention and words of affirmation. For support of any kind. Parent's who didn't see her worth. Or praise any life choice she made. I did as well unfortunately. Feel you Lucy. So you long for those you respect to give you them.

To have that reassurance you are worth it and worth investing in. Lucy has wanted this from Tim for ages. He is beaming as she is reading her last eval. All he wanted to do was continue to empower her and his parting words do it beautifully. To have him write that out and her to feel how proud he is of her is glorious. The way he is looking at her is not how one looks at his former rookie. The level of heart eyes he has for her is always unreal. In this scene it’s explosive.

The flirting, the support, the teasing it all encompassing their relationship to this point. They shake hands for far longer than is necessary. LOL As he tells her not to ever let someone tell her she can’t do something. Not even him. I love this so much. Him accepting her going against the grain and praising her for it. Ugh my heart. Having a loaded hand shake while having those looks on their faces. Idiots in love who don’t even know it. She hands him her present. Saying they’ve reached the final step. Acceptance their checklist is complete. He is grinning like a fool.

The scene finishes off perfectly with her pranking him with a call back to 2x01. The flour bomb. Fully encompassing this end of an era moment. This “gift” being her “thank you” for every lesson she ever learned. Her version of payback for all his Tim tests haha The look on her face is so damn cute. She is quite pleased with herself for this idea. Tim can’t even be mad about it. She had his number all day. Hell the last few episode really. Just shown her amazing growth right up to this moment.

Their competitiveness is one of their love languages. A massive one really. Their pranks would be another. It's another form of affection between them. It all ends up to the same thing. I adore them so much. Their final words have me squeeing. They call each other by their FIRST names with no last name attached. Which Lucy has done but a rarity by Tim.

The end of an era and the beginning of another is what this scene represented to me. The extra flirting, the extended handshake and how flirty and intimate saying each others first name was. God I love these sfm. Their slow burn is one the best I’ve had the pleasure to go through.

Phew that was a content heavy one in the best way way. Hard to believe we only have 5 left in this season already.

I ADORE Angela going back into her T.O. days just for Jackson. It’s so nice. How far they’ve come. Didn’t want him to finish up his final day as a rookie at the front desk. Bad ass woman.

The SL about the woman and her baby gets me in the feels makes me sad. Angela handles it like a pro when she gets on scene. So good.

Nyla is so good to John. Sees he’s bummed about Lucy/Jackson moving on and he’s stuck. She invites him to dinner with her and Lila. He says he doesn’t need the pity it’s ok. Damn Nolan take her being kind geez lol She turns it around says it’s not pity when he’s paying lmao Nolan is a schmuck but I do love their dynamic.

Holly put her cup down and rested her cold hands against its warmth. She had stayed in LA for almost half a year after the incident.

It felt shorter than that.

It felt an eternity longer than that.

Holly shrugged. “I just couldn’t stay. You know, I think I can try to build something here now. By myself.” Holly knew the words sounded good and so she said them.

The truth was, of course, that she didn’t know how to build anything, from an IKEA wardrobe to a life, when she had to do it alone.

Even though right now there are multiple billboards scattered around the city, bearing her name and face and announcing a small arena tour, Elena knows that this is not what the guy means. “Unless you watch my cams, I doubt it”, Elena spits with a dismissive curl of her mouth.

Gina has been limping all morning, and no one cares.

She sits in the backstage area of the runway show, holding her ankle away from her body, regarding it with suspicion. She twisted it yesterday evening, tripped over a sidewalk border. Stupid. At the moment, she didn’t think it would be a problem, but it certainly is one, now – it’s swollen and it hurts, sending pulses of pain through her body with every heartbeat.

Gina got all the ingredients for a simple seafood stir fry out of the fridge and freezer and got to work. She let her mind drift and wander as she washed and chopped vegetables. Her fingers were practiced at this sort of activity by now. Sometimes, when she cooked at home and washed potato after potato, her fingertips got calloused. It was a fascinating thing to have her body do – a modification out of practicality, not for beauty.

Many nights at Angel's Share were instead spent being drunk out of his mind when Cat's Tail didn't have any more opponents for him to beat in that TCG. Though, his vision was cloudy, he always remembers being near someone of tall stature with a familiar set of pinkish hair and their uniform... That could only mean.

Steady steps were made as he went up and entered through the cathedral. He would find her near at the altar. Basil wasn't aware of what she does in her line of work, but he has no time to ask for that!

Without a single word being uttered, a corked bottle would be presented. The cork adorned with a glittering pink ribbon ( lazily made and in a hurry ) and a tag that read, 'From: Basilius'

" Fontainian Merlot Wine. " Extends the quickly-strewn gift towards Rosaria. " It's been sitting on my cupboard for years now, ever since I came here from Fontaine... "

" I want you to have it instead. " Gulps. " Happy Birthday, Rosaria. "

The black nun was perched on a bench by the altar, taking a break from her fed-up seniors. Only echoes of those who came to pray were of any distractions from the tranquil silence. Reflections of birds flying outside the stained glass were briefly seen from the sun's rays peaking inside Barbatos' cathedral.

Forgetting her prayers again at mass had garnered tight-lipped judgment who questioned if she even had a place under this house. Despite Varka's attempts to redeem her, Rosaria had grown accustomed to this hostility from others and felt more isolated in the sun than in the night. She only idly spun her knife kept on her person to take her mind off her troubles.

Then as she first heard the sounds of steps again, she only assumed another elder had come to speak their respects to the sky and hope their Archon would heed them. Only to have an alcohol bottle neatly hoisted near her as she leaned back in surprise.

An awkward silence as she stared up and noticed the blue man she had met back at the Cat's Tail. The same poor sap who drank themselves silly and spewed their woes. Not that the sister wanted to know the life story of a disgraced guard convinced they were the victim, but here she was.

The last person she expected to see was the town jerk turned into a flustered mess at giving a birthday present.

Rosaria's clawed hand took the small bottle and listened to his explanation. Her thumb rubbed the poorly tied pink bow as she read the label. A small smile slowly grew on her face as she faced him.

Faun: *peacefully sleeping under soft blankets before stirring when light starts filling the room* “Mmf…mornin’ alre’dy?” *looks up* “…hm? GAH!!?”

Leona: “Ugh…do you have to scream in my ear, mortal?”

Faun: “Wha-? How did-? Why are you in my bed?! How did you even get in here?”

Leona: “Magic. And you always have those really soft blankets we can’t get in our realm.”

Faun: “Seriously?...wait, what time is it?” *checks clock* “…it’s not even past three o’clock yet, why is it so brigh-? Oh, right. Your sun disk…”

Leona: “You figured it out. Good job—now let me sleep.”

Faun: “…are you avoiding your brother or your nephew.”

Leona: “Take a wild guess.”

Faun: “Both. Got it. Could you at least dim the brightness so I can sleep too?”

Leona: “Fine…”

Grim: “Hey! I’m gone for two minutes and he stole my spot! Wher’m I s’pposed to sleep?!”

7:00—Alarm Clocks are Overrated

All three are sleeping peacefully…

Sebek: *slams door open* “MORTAL!! Lilia-sama has summoned you for breakfast. Awaken!”

Faun: *on the ground clutching chest* “…I think my heart just stopped…”

Sebek: “Hmph—nonsense! You are alive and talking, are you not?”

Leona: *tangled in the comforter* “You need to get a refund on that alarm clock…”

Faun: “…I know you just said something snarky, Leona, but my ears are ringing from the talking thunder cloud.”

Grim: *fainting goat pose* “Funyaa…too loud…”

7:30—Breakfast is Served, Part One

Lilia: “Good morning, my child~!”

Faun: “Good mor—ning? What ah…what is all this?”

Lilia: “Why, breakfast of course. I made all your favorites~! Eggs and bacon, waffles, toast, and freshly squeezed juice!”

The table has several dishes filled with purple, green, and black “food”.

Grim: “Fygah! Did that pile of sludge just move?!”

Lilia: “Ah yes, those would be the waffles. Here, why not start off with a bowl of cereal?”

Faun: “…why is the cereal on fire?”

Lilia: “I have no idea. The cereal simply caught fire the moment I poured the milk. Perhaps a new brand?”

Faun: “I’m starting to wonder if someone put a curse on you…”

8:30—Breakfast is Served, Part Two

Trey: “Would you like another cinnamon bun?”

Faun: “Yes, please!”

Grim: “Me too!”

Faun: “Thanks for inviting us to breakfast and tea, Riddle, Trey.”

Riddle: “You’re very welcome any time.”

Grim: “I’ll take tea and sweets over a bowl of fire cereal and sludge!”

Riddle: “I beg your pardon?”

Faun: “Lilia tried to cook us breakfast and set a bowl of cereal on fire just pouring the milk in.”

Trey: “……how??”

9:30—It’ll be a breeze~!

Faun: “Wow, it’s pretty windy today. You having a good day, Ace?”

Ace: “Sure am! Just gained a new follower and they left an offering to get my blessing.”

Deuce: “Oh, so that’s where you got the cherry pie from? I thought you swiped it from Trey when he wasn’t looking again.”

Ace: “Hey! That was an accident. How was I supposed to know that it was for the Unbirthday Party that day?”

Grim: “Accident or not, food grudges are no jo-oke!” *gets blown backwards into Faun’s legs*

Faun: “I gotcha-oop!”

Deuce: “Careful!” *uses shield and wing to block wind current* “Ace, you need to turn down the wind.”

Ace: “What’s the matter, Juice? Afraid they’ll get blown away?”

Deuce: “Oi! It’s not Juice, it’s Deuce! You’ve had eons to remember that! And of course I’m worried—you remember what happened the last time, don’t you? Faun got hurt rolling down the hill!”

Faun: “I mean…it was kinda fun, minus the broken arm.”

Ace: “Oh calm down, will ya? That was an accident, and she’s fine! Besides, mortals have the durability predictability of a phone: they’ve survived worst things than a little wind.”

Deuce: “Your idea of a ‘little wind’ involves whirlwinds and tornados.”

Ace: “Oh yeah? Well then, how’s this for a little wind?”

FWOOSH!!!

Deuce: “Gah!”

Faun & Grim: “Whaaaa-!!!”

Ace: “…oops…”

Deuce: “I got’em!”

11:30—Catch a Cold (Wolf) in the Rain

Ruggie: “Whoa! What happened to you?”

Faun: *completely soaked to the bone and shivering* “F-Floyd thought t-that it’d be…f-funny to make it r-rain on J-J-Jack.”

Ruggie: “Oof…so you got hit with winter and rain magic at the same time, huh?”

Grim: *teeth chattering and looking like a wet cat* “W-w-whadda…jerk! Eh…a-a…achoo!!”

Ruggie: “Ah man, can’t have you two getting’ sick on me. Here, take a seat by the hearth. It’ll warm ya while I fix up some lunch, m’kay?”

Nana Bucchi: “Oh you poor dears. Here, a nice, warm quilt to warm you both.”

Faun & Grim: “Thank you, Nana Bucchi!”

Nana Bucchi: “You are most welcome, dears. Now, who would like a donut while we wait for the stew to finish?”

Faun, Grim, & Ruggie: “Me~!”

1:00—Eye of the Beholder

Rook: “Bonjour~!”

Faun: “Oh, hi, Rook! What’re you doing here?”

Rook: “I heard from the Rose Chevalier how you and Monsieur Fuzzball were experiencing a chaos-filled morning, and so I wished to check on you both.”

Grim: “That’s puttin’ it lightly.”

Rook: “Oh?”

Faun: “Well, let’s see…I got woken up twice before my alarm clock was supposed to go off and nearly had a heart attack both times. Then Lilia tried to cook us breakfast. Ace sent us flying in a cyclone…again. Then we fell into Jade’s river, got saved by Jack, and then Floyd nearly caused Grim and I to get flash frozen by making it rain while we were standing next to Jack, so we were dropped off at Ruggie’s cottage to warm up and get some medicine—”

Grim: “And lunch!”

Faun: “And of course, lunch. Overall, an average Tuesday.”

Rook: “Oh my. Sounds like quite the adventure!”

Faun: “Yeah. Right now I just want to rela—”

Vil: “Ah, there you are, Rook. I need you to—” *stares* “…Faun. Have you been neglecting your skin care routine again?”

Faun: “……uhhhhh……”

Vil: “Unacceptable! It would seem I need to teach you proper care once more. Mortals must take care of their body and mind, and I will not accept laziness or lack of time as an excuse for not performing self-care. Now come—you as well, Grim. Your fur is in an appalling state.”

Faun: *groans* “Is it too much to ask for a little break?”

Vil: “Faun…”

Faun: “Eep! Moving!”

4:00—Party Over Here~!

Grim: *groaning* “That took three. Whole. Hours! Is the day over yet?”

Faun: “Nope. Not even close…”

Grim: “Ugh…I just wanna take a nap…”

Faun: “Same.” *flops onto couch and lets Grim climb on before starting to set an alarm on phone* “An hour should do the trick.”

The two doze off, sleeping peacefully…

Brr-UUUMMMM!!!

Kalim: *comes flying in on carpet* “Hey, there you guys are! I’ve been looking all over for you.”

Grim: *clinging to Faun’s face with fur puffed out* “Don’t any of you know how to knock?!”

Kalim: “Oops! Sorry…”

Faun: “…was…was that an elephant just now?”

Kalim: “Oh, yeah! There’s going to be festival tonight and there’s a parade happening, so I thought I’d bring my favorite elephant along to stretch her legs. Say hi!”

Brrrrummm!

Faun: “Kalim…ugh, as much as I love your elephants, this is definitely going to be hard to explain. Do you guys even realize how difficult it’s getting to explain all the weird things and strange people appearing around my house to my neighbors? How am I supposed to explain what an elephant is doing in my yard?”

Kalim: “Hmm…well, you could tell them that the circus is in town?”

Faun: “…I-? Maybe??”

Grim: “Doesn’t that excuse only work on little kids though?”

Kalim: “Oh, right. You got a point there…well, I can take her somewhere else! I just wanted to know if you guys could come to the festival with me? There’s lots of food and games to play!”

Faun: *sighs* “You know what? Sure. Just promise to let us take a nap for an hour and we can go. Okay?”

Kalim: “Okay~!”

End Day

So…yeah, we ended up spending the rest of the evening at a festival and Kalim let us stay in his realm for the night.

[Wow. So that’s why you were so tired this morning!]

“Well duh! You guys are so exhausting to deal with…”

[And this is what you go through every day?]

Well, some days are calmer than others, but generally speaking? Yeah. Though…to be honest, I’d be more worried if a day is too quiet. I’ve gotten so used to having you all stop by and visit me every day that…well, I just can’t imagine not having at least one of you visiting.

[Really?]

Yeah! It’s nice just knowing I have someone checking in on me either in person or via messaging…even if they’re not human, it’s nice knowing you guys care. So…thank you. For being here for me.

Haikyuu manager headcanons!!

Okay so these adorable teams all have the softest spot for their tiny little manager-chan, and here's how they all treat her.

[Ari's note: okay manager fics and headcanons are my absolute favourite and I love writing them]

*.` | Karasuno

They are extremely laid back with you, compared to some of the other teams. They give you your space, at the same time listen to you when you have something to say.

Respectful simps. Similar to how they act with Kiyoko (ugh yes queen-chan) they're in tears whenever you do things to motivate them, like cheer at their practice matches or give them good luck charms.

They still have the good luck charms you fastened on their bag before one of the matches.

Tanaka and Noya would literally worship the ground which you walked on. Like wow how did they get so lucky as to have three?? Cute managers?? On their team??

Yachi and you would probably subtly simp over Kiyoko with them too ngl.

Hinata and Kags would probably see you as an older sister, eventho you're their age because you're so caring and responsible.

Suga is literally your mom and Daichi is your dad. They make sure you're all healthy and you're doing well in school.

Asahi gives you hugs whenever you're sad or upset! Fite me but I think this gentle baby gives the best hugs ever >:( he's like your comfort senpai and you'd do the same for him, especially when he's feeling insecure or down.

Yams would probably be very shy around you, but he'll warm up in time.

Ahhh the best part. Tsukki! He'd find you annoying and simply not get why you're so Mcfreaking happy at first (shut up u salty beanpole, manager-chan is just a ray of sunshine, okay?) But he soon finds it endearing and slowly gets closer to you.

You walk home with Yams and Tsukki every day since your houses are close, and Tsukki walks you to your door to make sure you're safe!

Ennoshita, Kinoshita and Narita all see you as a little sister and often help you with your managerial duties.

The team cares and respects you so much, and are so thankful you've joined them!!

Meat buns at Ukai's are your hangout spot, and everytime you see them chilling you're so thankful to have such great friends.

*.` | Aoba Johsai

Aaah we're at the team of one of my favourite characters!! I'll start with Oikawa (can't you tell I'm so biased omg)

Oikawa absolutely adores manager-chan because although she's tiny, she's very strict, and doesn't let his fangirls near the gym when he's practicing, which he appreciates.

"yn-chan, you're so good to me, can I take you out as a thank-you?" Cue Iwa-chan's ball which comes flying at Oikawa's head. "Stop flirting with the manager, shitty-kawa"

Iwa's very fond of you too, but he doesn't let it show too often. Sometimes he picks up your favourite coffee from the vending machine and claims that he bought it by "accident". (How believable<3)

Kunimi probably sends you weird tiktok videos and tags you in funny memes. Very wholesome 10/10.

Kyotani just?? Doesn't understand you?? Like wow, she's small but the team listens to her?? Why?? He later finds out you're the manager. Mad dork here didn't know you were managing the team for the past month, and thought you just came to the gym to watch them practice. Smh.

Matsukawa and Hanamaki give you headpats and like taking selfies with you, much to Oikawa's dismay. He wants to be the only one taking pictures with you.

Like no manager-chan. Stop. Get away from them. My phone's right here I wanna take selfies with you :(

Kindaichi is cool with you. Y'all are bros and you game together sometimes.

Watari and Yahaba join too, and they're surprised to know that you're so aggressive when you game.

Cue a jealous Oikawa who struggles learning how to game just so he's invited to play with you. Simp smh.

They're all very gentle with you, and since you're their first female manager, they make sure to never make you feel uncomfortable.

You guys like grabbing ramen together and having eating contests. They really bring out your aggressive side but you love them for it.

*.` | Shiratorizawa

Can I just say Semi bsf material? Yes? Yes. Semi Eita is best friend material.

Makes you cute little Spotify playlists and you help him write lyrics to songs occasionally. You play an instrument too and you guys can just jam out for hours on end together.

You get the idea of applying to be the manager because of him, and it all took off from there.

Goshiki loves you. You're fond of your kohāi, and you genuinely just give this touch-starved future ace a lot of hugs and cuddles, which he's SO grateful for.

Like wow, y/n-chan isn't just pretty?? She's also so sweet? And smart? And capable? Semi why have you been hiding her for so long??¿ >:(

Goshiki is just so protective of you, he'd commit murder if he had to.

You have to earn Ushiwaka's respect, yk? And slowly but surely he comes to realise how dependable and responsible you are, and treats you like an indispensable member of the team.

He's got your back. And if he ever senses you're upset, he's trying to cheer you up as best as he can.

"do not feel upset, those grades will mean nothing to you in the future. I doubt you will be able to remember what you got in your second year, third monthly test." You think he's being sweet, and yes he is (in a way), but he's also trying to be reasonable and logical.

Tendo loosens you up and you tend to play pranks on the others with him.

The funniest was when you tried to prank Ushijima by adding wasabi to his onigiri and he?? Didn't get it??

Like "y/n-chan, Tendo, why did you add wasabi to this onigiri? It would've been so much better with tuna mayo??" And he has no reaction whatsoever?¿?

Cue Goshiki who tries the onigiri because he wants to prove he has spice tolerance like Ushijima, eventhough you can low-key see him tearing up.

Shirabu is your voice of reason and you and him often study together. You also have deep and philosophical conversations at 12 a.m. over text, and it is just so wholesome.

He respects you so much, not just because you care for him, but because he finds your brain so fricking smexy.

These eagle babies bring out the best in you and you're always eager to push them forward and bring out the best in them.

*.` | Fukurodani

First thing's first, besides Akaashi, you are the only other person who can cheer up an emo-mood Bokuto.

Just say "Hey Bo, you're gonna look so much cooler when you spike the ball like the true ace that you are" and his hair's all perking up and his eyes are shining.

Akaashi thinks you are an angel sent from heaven.

You're very soft on your baby owls, and they genuinely just love getting positive affirmations from you.

Akaashi always blushes when you compliment him on his sets. And you can hear him murmur genuine words of gratitude.

The other members do too. They're glad because sometimes people focus on Bo too much and forget to give them recognition, yk? It's easy to get overlooked :(

But thanks to manager-chan who's so attentive with all of them, and who's aware of all their quirks and moods, they're all so touched and so so happy.

You have a habit of getting cold pretty often, especially since practice finishes late and it's pretty chilly by then.

Konoha always lends you his jacket and walks you home, since your home's are the closest. There's just something about you that makes you soft.

You get along really well with Kaori and Yukie, and you'd definitely consider them your best friends, considering y'all are in this thang togetherrrr!!

The Fukurodani team are just all a bunch of crackheads, but they're your crackheads and you wouldn't trade them for the world.

You're a very tight-knit family, (like ugh I just get lots of comfortable, safe vibes from Fukurodani :(( <3)

You guys hang out at the store near your school pretty often to recharge after grueling days of practice together.

*.` | Nekoma

My second favourite team, Nekoma!! They are precious, gentle, soft babies and I love them to bits and pieces >:(

I'll start with Kuroo. You've always had a tiny soft spot for Kuroo ever since you've become his lab partner in chemistry class.

His notes are immaculate. I mean, cmon we're all hoes for pretty notes

You think he's so incredibly smart and talented, so when he suggests you become the Nekoma manager, you just agree right away.

You guys grow closer since you've started spending more time with him, and you banter around more often than not with chemistry pickup lines.

"hey kitten, let's form a covalent bond"

He's so whipped after you retort back. Like wow she called me sodium fine and said I'm like an exothermic reaction? Permission to simp??

(Ari stfu this isn't a Kuroo fanfic)

Kenma and you definitely play animal crossing together, and he even lets you try his switch, after you guys grow closer.

Kuroo is so insulted, he's never even touched Kenma's switch before >:(

You also push Kenma to do better during practice and he starts to care more about volleyball, since you seem so enthusiastic about it.

Yamamoto isn't even subtle about his simping smh T-T unlike Kuroo, he shamelessly flirts with you, and can't wait to show you off to Tanaka and Noya at the next camp.

"we have such a gorgeous manager now, Nekoma is ThRiViNg" he says in his head with this ridiculous dopey ass smile on his face +_+

Since deep down inside, you're a huge baby, you, Lev, Shibayama, and Inuoka get along so well. They're just happy energetic kittens, and they make you feel so happy.

y'alls energy just match, yk?

Although Fukunaga is shy to tell jokes, he tells them to you, because he knows you'd never judge him, and you actually kinda enjoy laughing along :) he's so touched.

Momma Yaku!! Yaku always lends you his jacket and makes sure to carry snacks for you in his bag. He knows you care so much about the team that you often neglect your own health, which is why he's always there to make you're feeling healthy and good.

Kai and Teshiro help you with your homework and like talking about their favourite singers with you.

They're all just such amazing human beings who treat you so well, and you feel so blessed to be a part of their team. You adore them so much, and they adore you back tenfold.

*.` | Inarizaki

[Ari's note: Ello there luvs, you've made it to the bottom of this sweet hc post and just get ready for Inarizaki :( they're my favourite team of all time, and I'm just so biased, I'm sorry ;-;]

Inarizaki's entire team just adores you so much, they think you're the light of their lives.

They're all super touch starved babies, and once you realized that, you've made sure to ensure they never feel that way.

Aran is kinda like your protective senpai, and his heart flutters ever so slightly when you call him that senpai kink oops and give him headpats, and he loves patting your head in return.

The twins are so incredibly soft for you.

Their fangirls are sometimes pretty mean, but one glare from the duo is enough to shut them up.

Osamu cooks bentos for you and gives you the warmest hugs when you ask for them, burying his head in the crook of your neck.

Your hand is almost always in Atsumu's because he's so slick?? Like y'all, this mf would be like "y/n-chan, my hand has been aching for a while now" and when you go to observe it, he just pulls your hand into his and pulls you to follow him.

His entire body heats up when you kiss his cheek after a particularly good game, and his brain literally goes "grrrr empty", when he's usually so sly.

The twins are your bodyguards, they follow you everywhere and protect you all the time.

Enter Suna Rintaro, your meme king. He definitely records funny moments that happen during practice and send them to you, just to make you laugh, or memes of the members.

He also definitely takes pictures of you when you aren't noticing, simply because he likes the way your hair looked, or because you looked so beautiful.

Like the twins, his eyes widen whenever you kiss his cheek or ruffle his hair, and it's literally like suna.exc has stopped functioning.

Congrats manager-chan, you broke the kid -.-

Omimi might come across as stoic and cold but he's actually a huge softie, and you often give him positive affirmations.

He's also definitely a huge lover of your hugs, and looks forward to them as motivation to play well.

He'd never tell you though, he's shy™.

My baby Kita compliments you all the fricking time.

"y/n-chan, I mean this is the most sincere way, I think this hairstyle looks stunning on you"

Or "you're so capable and you work so hard, I'm so thankful to have you by my side"

And he has the most genuine expression on his face, his eyes are so earnest and shining so bright.

And when you smile at him, he's like oh shit I made her smile, depression whom? I only know serotonin.

Ginjima is usually rash but with you, he takes his time and weighs everything he says.

He doesn't wanna accidentally hurt you and regret it since he was being careless and not thinking at all.

You calm him down when he's getting too hotheaded with gentle words and he's suddenly a blushing mess.

Unlike some of the other teams that tease you a bunch, Inarizaki treats you so gently. Their little princess, as they think of you.

So mf-ing protective, like if someone looks at you wrong, you can totally bet Atsumu's going for their ankles, sangwoo style, or Osamu is trash talking them to their knees.

Would drop anything and everything to help you if ever needed.

They think you're they're entire world because you go above and beyond for them, and they genuinely love you. Like actually LOVE you to bits and pieces.

he just degenerated as he grew older. he is just resentful, delusional and jealous and imo there'a nothing really complex about that. he is just a plain little hurdle of a villain (because ya know, he isn't that creative as boss level villain jiggy) who can't let go that he has already lost. and that jiAnG cHeNg wAnTed tO kiLL hIs bRoThEr? WtF 🥴🥴 are you suggesting that jc didn't want to kill wwx? have you forgotten that jc almost chiked wwx to death after the annihiliation of lotus pier? did you forget that jc gutted wwx in a staged fight? did you forget jc proclaimed that wwx betrayed the cultivation world and lead a siege against him? WTF IS WRONG WITH JC STANS 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ they also forgot that wwx and jc are MARTIAL BROTHERS wwx calls him shidi so that means they never actually treated each other as siblings. ahhh jc stans so delusional that they also think cql is the real thing smh 🤦‍♀️also jiang yanli should not be considered as cOMpLeTeLy GoOd because she isn't. people forget that jyl went to the burial mounds and did not even offer help, even at least a few coins and just offered soup as if that could solve anything. if jyl is considered to be completely good then should not have been ignorant upon that matter but instead she lives happily in her princess life with the man she's obssessing with since she was a child. if jc and jyl actually cared for wwx like a sibling, they should have offered help and actually cared about him.

ugh sorry for the kinda long rant but im just mad about many jc stan posts that insist canon!jc is not an evil antagonist unlike how anti-jc posts paint him to be 🤦‍♀️🥴

Rant away! (ᵔ◡ᵔ) Naturally I agree. Complex these days has been rebranded to mean throwing tantrums, being immensely self absorbed, and communicating through rage and agression but expecting to be treated like a victim/child and excused of any responsibility.

Also they have it tagged as "untamed" where jc trying to kill Wei Wuxian is presented visually. I mean it's already pretty clear in the novel because jc successfully strategizes and leads a whole siege to kill him, but in the Untamed it's actually visible. jc tries to crack the cliff WWX is hanging off of to send both him and Lan Wangji plunging down. He literally forces WWX to yank his hand and fall to his death to prevent Lan Wangji from falling down with him... so I'm always even more confused when people seem to so decisively miss it. We're not even working with visual comprehension here?

So instead of reblogging every new update, I'm just going to have this post up on my phone as I watch and type my reactions in a bullet list format.

More Hitoshi Relationship Headcanons

Because @blossominglark had me thinking about him all evening 😩, I got so inspired I had to write all this down, immediately. You could think of this as a pt. 2 to the chubby reader scenario but I don't specifically mention body type in this one!

- Loves when he has all your attention. He’s not used to being admired so when he looks into your pretty eyes filled with admiration, his heart swells every time and he can’t help his lop-sided grin. Standoffish with everyone else, but a softie for you.

- Hitoshi wants to be a great hero someday, one so great that he surpasses the likes of Class A, so having you hanging off his arm and always calling his name most certainly fits that image (and boosts his ego). When he’s with you, Toshi feels that much closer to his dreams.

-Begins to add you to all his future plans, like his image of his future house and car and even interviews as a pro change to incorporate you, his plus one. Of course, he would never admit that that blank stare on his face was because he was daydreaming about you.

- Y’all spend so much time together you’re practically twins, so naturally, people begin to group you in with Hitoshi. He doesn’t like it at first, not wanting you to sacrifice your social life for him. However, once he sees how you don’t back down and proudly claim him, it’s like y’all are an inseparable tag team from then on. Bonnie and Clyde, Sharkboy and Lava Girl, Cosmo and Wanda. Truly a power couple.

-Finds it endearing when you start adopting his mannerisms and way of talking. Whenever y’all make an inside joke, you both do that little smirk at each other or sometimes you’ll scratch your neck right after he does it

-Imagine watching him fight during joint training and cheering him on from the stands. I’m not saying he’d show off for you, but... let’s say he used his quirk on someone and,, “Turn around. Turn 2 more steps to the left. Now wave at Y/N L/N. Blow her a kiss. Good, now turn around and walk out of bounds.” Wow I know right, how romantic Hitoshi (real talk, I’d be swooning, y’all).

-Likes how surprised the rest of the class gets when they find out he has a girlfriend. Acts all nonchalant about it but on the inside he’s brimming with satisfaction. Who would’ve thought a ‘villain’ like him could end up with such a babe, right? Oh, he’s real smug, like “You guys are late, we’ve been together for over a month already. Ready for lunch, kitten?” and he shoots a devious glance back at them while walking out with you.

- A tease, so don’t think you’re exempt from his jokes. If anything, he’d mess with you more- but don’t get mad sis, get even.

-Overly sensual, and you have a feeling it’s on purpose. Always standing a little too close, must always rest his hand on your lower back or rub his thumb over your hand when he’s holding it, and uses “that voice” with you while you’re in public, then acts innocent when you get worked up. Oh, and the way he looks at you when you’re talking to him is enough to make you forget what you were saying...but little do you know that you have the same effect on Toshi, as well. He just hides it a little better.

-Hitoshi never questions how he got someone as wonderful as you, because of course he did. It just proves that he’s destined for greatness after all.
