ANYWAY, how about hcs of haikyuu characters favorite Ghibli films?? Again, pick any characters that come to your mind, though I'll toss in Ennoshita as he's a film enthusiast and Yachi sense she hasn't been requested yet!

A/N: pfft! Yeah, it's you, me and our Haikyuu headcanons against the world bestie <3 BUT yeah of course I'll do these. Actually I have this urge to watch Porco Rosso again now. I did watch my fav recently too.

ENNOSHITA CHIKARA:

While Ennoshita can sit down and enjoy films I feel like he enjoys watching them more for the analytical film side of things. He likes to break them down and analyse the technical and thematical aspects as well as thinking about how he feels watching them.

The film buff in him holds Grave of the Fireflies (1988) so highly that even though it ripped his heart out he holds it as one of his favourite must watch in your life time films. He definitely cried his eyes out too. Not ashamed to admit it either. Can talk for hours about the powerful themes and will convince you to watch it if you haven't.

I think his all time favourite Ghibli movie though would be Princess Mononoke (1997). It just has that rewatchability, the visuals, the action, the complexity of the characters and the 'you're beautiful' line. It just captures everything he loves in films. Ennoshita the simp identifying with the simp characters. Hell yeah.

I think he'd watch all of the Ghibli films at least once and enjoy most of them enough to rewatch.

YACHI HITOKA:

I don't think she watches many movies. Ghibli movies I feel are the few that Yachi did come across though. I think a friend in her elementary school years introduced them to her. The first one she ever saw was Spirited Away (2001) and its held a special place in her heart ever since. It's probably her favourite one to rewatch.

She would have this fantasy as a kid too that every time she walked down an alleyway or through an arch she'd be whisked off away to another world. Yachi knew it was silly but it was her only escape from her studies.

Another one she really likes is Kiki's Delivery Service (1989). She really admires Kiki's confidence of being able to go out into world so young and make it on her own. It's the kind of confidence she wished she had for herself. As she gets older and grows confident she looks back on this movie with warmth, seeing herself become more confident like Kiki.

I like to think Ghibli movies for Yachi are comfort movies that she returns to in adulthood that remind her how much she's grown.

KENMA KOZUME:

I've said before he's into anime and manga, I think he'd be into Ghibli films too. I feel he'd chuck them on as way to wind down from gaming. Snug in bed and content just putting on a nice Ghibli film. Perfect. His perfect date night too honestly. There's actually a few I feel he'd like so I've given him a top 3 in no particular order.

Howl's Moving Castle (2004)—it's a staple and one of his most rewatched. He finds it easy to watch, likes the music, the banter of the romance couple and yeah maybe Howl's kinda hot sometimes even when he's pathetic. Kind of wants Howl merch. Buys the earrings.

When Marnie Was There (2014)—Shed a tear or two the first time because wow he wasn't expecting such a touching story. Was there for all the feels. Watched it again a few days later because it was stuck on his mind. It became one of his favs he puts on those occassions he wants to feel something.

Whisper of the Heart (1995)—Maybe because it's also my fav and the main love interest reminds me of a my fav dork that gets paired with Kenma and I feel like thats cute. But also I just feel like he'd vibe with this cute movie a lot! His fav character is the cat Muta.

HINATA SHOUYOU:

Loves to watch these movies with his sister Natsu. They watch anime together in general but Ghibli movies are just those extra fun ones they put on. They have a range but his favourite one is probably My Neighbour Totoro (1988).

Totoro is one of the first films Hinata remembers watching in general so it's mostly the nostalgia that makes it his favourite. He's an emotional film enjoyer. It's not about the themes or the analysis. He just wants to have fun and enjoy himself. Also the memories of watching it with his sister is what makes it special.

You know as well that if he's sharing this film with you then it's a big deal. It means a lot to him. It's a treasured part of his childhood. It's probably something he takes with him to brazil aswell like a little piece of home along with his one piece manga.

Bought his sister a little Totoro keychain in his third year when he was in Tokyo. Gave it to her before he left for brazil. It was like a little goodbye to their childhood together.

KUROO TETSUROU:

He's another one I feel has a couple of favourites. Ones he has come to love and find comfort films in.

The first one is just one he likes for the themes, the main character and the laughs. Porco Rosso (1992)—Obviously loves the whole seaplane pirates action of it all and heroic main character. I feel like he'd identify with the main character not being good at admiting romantic feelings (Kuroo's a fumbler). Also appreciates the character growth throughout the film. Also the whole 'I'd rather be a pig than facist.' 10/10.

Only Yesterday (1991)—This one I see him watching on a whim when he was younger. His parents were arguing again, his life was a little unstable and uncertain (this was before he moved nextdoor to Kenma) and he needed to drown the noise out. He found this movie put it on and really connected with it. He really felt lost like the main character and felt hope watching it—seeing there was a hopeful ending.

I think as he gets older and expands his viewing I think Kuroo would also vibe with Whisper of the Heart (1995). He'd vibe with the main love interest. He's on the same level, trying to be cool to win over the person he has a crush on but really he's been pining all this time. Also working hard to pursue his dreams? Kuroo all over. He's also just a sucker for a love.

My favorite LGBTQ+ headcanons

haikyuu edition / karasuno

disclaimer: They are headcanons, please relax. If you don’t agree it isn’t really my problem so please keep it to yourself.

Hinata: pansexual vibes honestly.

He is the type of person who thinks everyone feels that way. He thought people were attracted to people and that was it, no gay or lesbian or straight.

It wasn’t until Yachi was talking about it that he realized he was pansexual and just stayed like that and continue to live his life.

Kageyama: “I like Hinata”. Gay just doesn’t know yet.

His gay awakening was Hinata but couldn’t really explain why he felt all fuzzy inside.

He is the type of gay that picked his crush only because people around him seemed to have one.

Tsukishima thought it was the most obvious thing so when he pointed out he was genuinely surprised to see he had no idea of what he was talking about “you figure it out”.

Asahi: Unlabeled, they/he pronouns. Probably demisexual too

Baby is just vibing. Doesn’t care about labels and isn’t interested in finding out, they are just waiting for the right person to come.

Hopeless romantic too.

Asahi uses they/he pronouns because i say so.

Daichi: Bi. 100% bisexual

Look at me in the fucking eyes and tell me this man isn’t a bisexual.

His first romantic partner was a girl, but later on he found himself crushing on a boy in his class so you can guess how conflicted he felt.

Suga was the one to solve his questions. “You can like both genders, Daichi. That doesn’t mean you are cheating on your girlfriend”

Suga: Pan, uses any pronouns.

Just vibing too.

“You are such a girl” ok

Feels specially happy when people use they/them pronouns.

Crushes easily too.

Noya: Gayyyyy

Now listen to me. He likes kiyoko, ok? But is mostly platonic.

Tanaka knows this so everything is pretty chill with them.

I feel he felt pretty ashamed at first because of his sexuality so he did everything in his power to convence others he likes girls, hopefully he could convince himself too.

Then he told Tanaka how he really felt, poor boy was in the verge of tears and tanaka was like “oh you are gay? that’s cool man”

Tanaka: Bicurious.

I don’t think he is straight tbh. He is discovering his sexuality.

Is completely ok with kissing a dude and if he is being honest, he kinda likes it.

I don’t see him getting into a relationship with a guy but i do think he is sexually attracted to them. Just like a thought in the back of his head.

Yams: Bisexual and ftm

Has a weak spot for blonds.

Baby wants a beard sooooo bad. The testosterone shots won’t give him much facial hair and it upsets him a bit.

At first he thought he was genderfluid, but then he realized there was something wrong. He didn’t like himself.

Tsukishima went on this journey with him, gives him his shots and bought him his first binder.

Tsukishima: gAY

Has the best gaydar too.

He was never confused about his sexuality either, his family was really accepting and never questioned if he liked girls, he just didn’t.

Girls crush on him all the time, right? well at first he is pretty gentle about it and rejects them softly (?. But if they insist he would bluntly say “Im gay” and leave.

Kiyoko: Lesbian (fight me, honestly)

In a universe where she and Tanaka don’t end up together is because she is a lesbian.

Kiyoko was very confused about her sexuality at first. Because she heard liking girls being a girl was wrong and in high school she learned how much lesbians were hyper-sexualized.

She has learned to love herself slowly and accept that the blue prince wasn’t in her path.

Yachi: Bisexual with a preference for girls. Genderfluid.

She had a big fat crush on Yamaguchi for a while but she always comes back to Kiyoko.

“I don’t like girls what are you talking about” *sweats*

Discovered her sexuality in middle school and reaffirmed it in high school.

Their gender on the other side took a while. She liked when people referred to them as he so at first she thought he was trans. Then non-binary.

Then, as an adult she learned the term genderfluid and was like “omg that’s me”

Sugawara

Would be so sweet and understanding

When there is a thunderstorm he would hold you really tightly telling you that he wouldn’t let anything hurt you

Also gives you forehead kisses and whispers to you that it will be alright 🥰

Will get you anything that you want/need to make you calm

Kenma

Would totally get it he doesn’t really like loud noises either tho he isn’t the best at comforting you

He would probably give you some space (cause that’s what he would want when there’s to much noise)

But if you need to be held and cuddled then he will 100% be ok with that

Whatever he needs to do to make sure your ok

Akaashi

He is amazing at comforting you when your scared this pretty boy is always there for you

Would be so concerned when you go to him because your scared

If this has happened before where you go to him because of thunder/lightning you won’t even have to move he’s got you

Knows whatever need/want to help you

Has you sit between his legs back facing him while he holds you humming to calm you down

Suna

Would be kinda confused and not really get it at first like it’s just noise

Not the best at comforting people but he tries his best

gets you water and some blankets let’s you cling onto him if you want

probably just offers to watch a movie so you can try to focus on that instead of the thunder

Yachi

This sweet girl is honestly scared too but will try her best to not be scared

Wants to not look scared so she can try and help you like the awesome girlfriend she is

You both end up cuddling on the couch with a bunch of blankets

She’ll play with your hair while you try to fall asleep

been having massive brainworms of yachi and kiyoomi meeting in college and becoming close friends + yachi having to play wingman for kiyoomi when he meets you

cannot stop thinking about unlikely friends yachi and kiyoomi. they probably first met during nationals in kiyoomi's last year in itachiyama. maybe she piqued his interest when he heard her tell hinata to go back to the bathroom and wash his hands properly. they met again in uni and stuck together until they graduated and had to part ways because of their career choices.

and it probably was a gradual thing too, how they became friends. with kiyoomi being generally prickly and yachi being so shy. they just started sitting at the same table one day in the library. then, small nods of acknowledgment became hesitant attempts at small talk. then, it turned into kiyoomi crashing into the chair across from yachi that he has deemed his throughout the semester and immediately complaining about some professor while yachi nods in sympathy. then, it turned into yachi buying two orders of her coffee for that day because she knew kiyoomi would try stealing her coffee under the guise of "i just wanted to try what sugary concoction you brought today, hitoka. c'mon." that he swears he doesn't like. they probably also have matching keychains that kiyoomi bought for them on a whim one day when he was out in the city. and kiyoomi was definitely the person yachi had on speed dial for when she went on dates that started well but ended up making her uncomfortable. and in turn, yachi was the first one he told about you, about the person he was paired up with for a class presentation. she was the first to notice when kiyoomi started crushing on you, even before he himself realized. to notice the way kiyoomi would stare at you longer than necessary, gaze warm with an undercurrent of longing. and the way it might not be as one-sided as kiyoomi deemed it was when she catches you stealing glances at him when you think no one was looking. and naturally, yachi is the first to set the both of you up, ditching the hangout the three of you planned with motoya and tsukasa (that was two weeks in the making, mind you) because "ah, sorry! a very important deadline was moved to today and motoya, tsukasa-san, and i haven't even done half of it." kiyoomi would be disgruntled at how bad that excuse was because the three of them aren't even in the same classes, let alone groupings. and he tells yachi as much. you are none the wiser of course. "i'm really sorry!!! i was so excited too :(( we'll make it up to you both okay? xo" yachi would send to you and to kiyoomi, "if you don't end up kissing them by the end of tonight, don't even bother texting me. good luck!" - [Today 10:19PM] thanks, hitoka

kageyama can't drive and he should never be trusted behind the wheel. his super human spatial awareness is confined to the volleyball court alone. yams tried to teach him to drive in a parking lot one night in their twenties and neither of them will speak about the experience it was that traumatic

hinata has his license, but the list of people that will get in the car if he's driving dwindles by the day, despite his insistence that he's never actually gotten into an accident. he drives like saeko, lots of whipping around corners and abrupt stops, and he blasts music with the windows down. tobio is the only one that's never complained about his driving, oddly enough.

yachi tried to learn how to drive, and she aced the written exam, but she gets too anxious behind the wheel, and she decided it wasn't worth the stress the bus is just fine :))

yamaguchi was the first of the first years to get his licence. he dutifully went to drivers ed, and respects the rules of the road a bit too much maybe. he gets cut off a lot because he's not assertive enough and he always thinks the other driver must be in a hurry for something important.

tsukishima thinks he's an excellent driver, and all of his road rage is just because the other drivers are idiots it's their fault for trying to drive into him when he only ran the red light by like a couple seconds no yamaguchi he is very calm thank you very much. in all fairness he is the second best driver out of the bunch but that's just because the other three are so hopeless.

HC · They're confessing

Headcanons of Haikyuu characters confessing to you

This one is for the Karasuno first years, will do a few more for the 2nd + 3rd years and few members of other teams

Will also do a hc of the reader confessing first

Hinata:

It was something you expected because he couldn't be any more obvious about having a crush on you

However, it took way longer than you thought for him to actually stand in front of you

Like this boy have no idea how painfully obvious he was being and everyone had to sit by the side and watch him figure out his feelings in real time

This idiot couldn't differentiate between simply liking someone and a crush

When he finally realised what he felt for you wasn't platonic, he went straight for it

He caught you after class, confessed really loudly

You felt like everyone on that floor was able to hear this idiot's confession of his love for you

He definitely was nervous, considering how loud he was being

When you accepted his confession, he was so happy that he jumped up and hugged you so tightly that you felt like your ribs were going to collapse

There was also a very audible yelp from him from the happiness

Welp, guess now that everyone in the school knows that a certain idiot confessed and is now happily dating the love of his dreams

Kageyama:

Another oblivious idiot on this list

Arguably took long than Hinata to understand his feelings but was also more subtle with his actions

However, everyone except a few was able to tell that he had it bad for you

Would be sneaking glances at you and turning away immediately when you turn to face him

If you ever asked, he would be like "What? No. What are you talking about?"

Even after understanding he had a crush on you, he didn't confess

However, under the help of a few seniors, mainly Sugawara

Our lovely setter prodigy finally decided to face you and express his feelings

It was mainly muttering at first, but after telling him that you couldn't hear him, his voice rose suddenly and went for the overkill

Now the entire sector of the building could hear him

He fried himself immediately after that from embarrassment

But you were nice enough to hold in your chuckle and comfort him, then accepting his confession

Now you had the honour of watching Kageyama turn into a tomato in two seconds

He would be stammering and stuttering all over the place

He was overjoyed, but failed miserably in expressing it coherently

But hey, we love him for that

Tsukishima:

He was well aware of his feelings, but he wasn't ready to admit it

It took him quite some time to come in term with it

And even when he accepted it, he didn't confess immediately

Instead, he was planning strategically on how to confess to you so there will be a higher chance of you reciprocating those feelings back

This isn't how feelings work but we'll give him the credit for putting in the effort

You were kind of shocked when he confessed

You always thought that this guy disliked you, or were at least, indifferent about you, the thought that he liked you did not once show up in your mind

His affections were subtle and only a very few could see that he held you differently from others

His confession was calm, really calm, if it wasn't for the tense muscles and clenched fist, you wouldn't even know that this guy was nervous.

Even after you accepting his confession, his response was more of a "guess you were smart enough to accept me."

But if you squint real hard, you can see a joyous glint in his eyes

He is happy about you reciprocating his feelings, but more than likely he won't outright say it

Even if he did, it would be a quick comment thats followed by something sassy to cover it up

Yamaguchi:

You could tell this boy held feelings for you from a mile away

He's really not good at hiding it with all the blushing and stammering

Didn't have the courage to tell you for the longest time

Tsukishima was telling him to just go for it, and everyone else was also encouraging him to do it

But he still didn't budge

He felt like you were going to reject him the moment he step in front of you

Not true by the way

It was only when he scored with the float serve through multiple games and finally feeling like he could do something did he gain the confidence he needed

He came up to you, face red and trying to keep composure even though he felt so nervous like he's going to faint

However, he still managed to hold eye contact with you this entire time

His voice was quivering when he told you about his feelings

You couldn't tell if it was because he was nervous or because he was scared

Probably both

When you accepted his feelings, he was overjoyed, but he still doubled checked with you

Because maybe, he heard it wrong

After getting an confirmation, he gleamed, you could almost see a fluffy tail wagging behind him

The first request he had for you after making sure you are now in a relationship with him is:

"Could I hold your hand?"

Yachi:

You could tell easily that this girl had something for you from the startled expressions and act of running away and hiding from seeing you

It's like a little rabbit seeing a predator

However, you couldn't quite determine whether it was because she liked you or she was scared of you

You thought it might be the latter, but the reactions her friends gave suggested the former

Nothing really happened for a long time so you thought she would never arrive to confession

She proved you wrong

...but only after one whole year

She finally stopped you at recess all nervous and fidgety, she looked like she was on the verge of crying

She handed you a lovely envelope and just ran

You didn't even get a chance to stop her and she's just gone

The letter was well written, well decorated and very cute

She expressed all the feelings she had for you in her neat handwriting

There were cute drawings decorated throughout the page, indicating how much energy she put into this

Since she already gave you love letter, you knew it was impossible to receive a love confession in person now, so you decided to chase her down yourself

You caught her after class one day, then kabedon'ed her so she won't run away again

She was squealing silently and almost died from your action

She thought you were going to beat her up

When you took out a familiar well kept envelop and said that you accept her confession

She practically stopped functioning. It took her several seconds to process what you said

When she finally understood it, she looked at your with sparkling eyes, asking for a reaffirmation

You repeated your words

She got so happy that she was jumping up and down

Some passing students heard the commotion and checked what was happening

She didn't even notice them

She was just happy to finally be with you

(太可爱了太可爱了，软妹拯救世界好吧)

Also I don't even know if this counts as hc anymore because it feels kinda long

Don't ask me why yachi's part is so long, she was too cute and my brain turned to a jumbled goo from the cuteness attack so that's probably why I wrote too much

Edit: fuck fuck fuck guys I JUST realised that I wrote something wrong in Yachi's part. This is so dumb of me. Anyways, fixed it now. Hopefully everyone who read this before the edit figured out something was wrong 🫠

°Sawamura Daichi-I feel like he would read some kind of self help book that would help with anger issues and stress.

°Sugawara Koushi- Smut.

Hinata genuinely cannot hate anyone; Not because he's incapable of doing so, but because he constantly sees and wishes for the best for everyone he comes across. (Even those that have wronged him.) (tears up) (BUT HE HATES PEOPLE JUST in very small degrees)

Kageyama is socially constipated, canon, but to the point where he kind of doesn't get jokes. Not because of the fact that he's socially constipated, but also because he's dumdum

Tsukishima makes homemade dino nuggets. I cant elaborate on this other than : he hates overly processed food and if he could make everything homemade, he would.

Kiyoko loves loves LOVES Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, and basically? musical classics.

Asahi loves sweet and sour fish. He looks like he would.

Sugawara would eat salmon roe for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if his mum let him. This man also regularly eats grocery sushi and doesn't heat up his 7/11 onigiri.

Daichi in the Police force had tons of officers squealing over him, he peaked in adulthood.

Tanaka swears that if he weren't bald he wouldn't have managed to be with someone like Kiyoko and Kiyoko thinks that if Tanaka had hair, he'd look like even more of a mobster than he already does.

Nishinoya loveslovesLOVES! pokemon. He loves Pikachu but thinks he'll get no chicks if he shows it off so he discreetly (not really lol) shows off the fact that he likes Pikachu to his friends.

"Sweet and Intimate Things" Haikyū!! X Reader (Karasuno)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Daichi: He loves it when you wordlessly offer to feed him, holding out whatever you plan to give him and giving him a look when he tries to say no. After Daichi takes a bite, you reach over and stroke your thumb where a piece of food was stuck on his cheek. To him, the way you fuss over him in so many ways is just so sweet.

Koushi: When you want to read your favorite book, he asks to join (rarely because he believes that is when you most want space). Koushi snuggles puts an arm around you and rests his body against yours, occasionally using his other hand to page over before kissing your temple and putting his head on your shoulder.

Asahi: He forgets when he has to important things sometimes, and while you too are human and have your moments of forgetfulness, you remember for him. Asahi found that one night, you stayed up a bit later, and were writing in a notebook. His eyes widened when he snuck up to see what you were doing, it was a list of all the things he needed to remember in colorful ink--the first one was that he remembered you loved him.

Yuu: Runs energetically up to you for a hug at any given time when he spots you. God forbid you are far away and Yuu literally sprints over, pouncing on you and yelling "Surprise Attack Hug!" Though on your visibly down days, he tones it down for your sake and comes to approach you with a more gentle hug. Most of the time, you are the victim of his more body-slamming type of hug. You wouldn't have it any other way.

Ryūnosuke: Whenever he talks about you to others, he has this proud look on his face. A gentleman and hype man. Walking through the corridors and he sees you? Offers his "services". You need a pep talk? Hypes you up like a one-man stadium. Others talking not so nicely about you? First Ryu's a total aggressive hype man, then a total gentleman about you. He tries to look cool in front of you but it always slips, you wonder how your feral man can be such a gentleman and an aggressive hype man too.

Chikara: When studying or just hanging at his or your house, he always makes sure you're comfortable and does things like he knows your house better than you do. Chikara has this habit of nonchalantly tucking your hair behind your ear whether it's long or short, the going back to whatever he was doing. Or he'll fluff up the cushion you're sitting on so your legs don't hurt. Or he'll teasingly tap your noise when you're squinting and tell you to not squint because it's bad for you. He's literally so considerate and hellbent on your comfort.

Hisashi: He just holds out his hand for you when you two have a moment alone sometimes, whether it's sad or normal, to dance or at least move around to music or not. It's cheesy but cute for him, and you willingly accept. Even when you step on Hisashi’s toes or bump your forehead against his out of awkwardness, he doesn’t mind and still twirls you around. It becomes an often thing when you are not in the best mood.

Kazuhito: You always cheer him on even though it's been a while since he's been off the bench, he'd like to do the same. For whatever activity you pursue he's there to cheer you on, Kazuhito is there like your wingman. And whether you win or lose, try and fail, he gives you high fives and the biggest squeeze to show how much he supports you.

Tobio: He often stays very late after practice ends, and whether or not you have after school club activities or a job--he waits for you so that he can walk you home. Tobio sees you exit the building where you were busy and when you act surprised to see him, and playfully tease him about how he must miss you a lot to do this--he just grumbles out, "Its late out and I don't want you walking alone. Its dangerous stupid!" (You live right around the corner from the building where you work)

Shoyo: In his free time, when he's not practicing his serves or badgering Kageyama to set for him--he pulls you away from your work when he sees you're burnt out. Shoyo drags you outside to go buy some treats at Ukai's and sit on the stoop and eat while insisting you lay your head in his lap. He makes you laugh with silly things he does to bring you out of your slump, then proceeds to grab your hand and run back home when Ukai scolds you both for loitering and dirtying up his stoop.

Kei: You would swear the way he acts he does not like you, but for anything you do not understand in class, he makes little notes for in his own textbook and explains them. When it was lunch time, you left your textbook to buy some food, leaving Kei enough time to swap your textbook with his and leave the classroom just when you came back. You smile at him and he taps you on the head with your own textbook. You notice though the neat handwriting on the notes as his, smiling to yourself when you realize how much he cares.

Tadashi: Whenever you're out on a date with him, he makes a note to remember each little thing that catches your eye. You don't make it obvious that you're staring at whatever you were interested in, but Tadashi notices. So he goes back on his own free time to buy said things, and leaves it with a sticky note on your desk or in your locker. You do realize that its exactly the item you've been eyeing for a while. Maybe he deserves a kiss and a hug as thanks.

Kiyoko: As manager, she is so preoccupied with planning and managing. When it comes to the big games, she has no time for herself much less dates--so on their away game you visit her. Kiyoko is surprised when the third years force her outside their hotel only to see you waiting their with snacks, "You need to relax and have some you time or you'll burn out before the match!" You make her realize that she too needs to keep her mental health in check, which she appreciates. So you take her someplace where you can eat and shower her with affection. Before you leave after taking her back to the teams' hotel, you promise her you'll be there at the game--cheering for the boys but mostly her.

Yachi: Your girlfriend gets nervous in certain situations. So while out on a group outing with the rest of the first years, she feels pressured to give her order. You two have been standing in line for a while and the people behind were impatient. Noticing how she is slightly cowering behind you, you nudge Yachi and ask what drink she would like. When she does tell you, you order it for her and glare at the people pushing you to get out of the line. "Here's your drink, babe!" With a kiss on the cheek she takes it and you wink, going back to your seats while Tsukishima berates you for only ordering drinks for you two. She gets up and smiles confidently to say she'll order theirs.

random karasuno headcanons

daichi has never once had a break because of his four siblings, which is why he is so uptight and stressed. volleyball is the only place he can really relax (specifically w the other third years) and even then kageyama, hinata, noya, and tanaka are constantly testing him. he brought this up to ukai and takeda once and they both were like “have you ever went to therapy kid?" before they gave him info for a local therapist.

sugawara knows every kpop dance imaginable and forces his teammates to do them during their breaks. the only people who humor him and dance with him are hinata, noya, and tanaka sometimes. during a team sleepover, he convinced kageyama to do a dance with him, but kageyama is badly coordinated when dancing so it was horrible.

asahi knits when he’s anxious— which is all the time. he’s made a blanket for each teammate with their names on it and his bedroom is just piles of blankets at varying levels of complete. his dog appreciates the nest he can sleep in. he jokes that this is where his parents college fund has gone to. also knitting is what gets him into fashion because he jokingly knitted a bucket hat for noya and immediately wanted to make more— his room ended up having 30 bucket hats all over it and he had to give them away to his classmates and teammates.

kiyoko likes reading intense smutty romance books with a blank face. her expectations for romance are through the roof and she’s unashamed. suga has tried reading it over her shoulder and he’s walked away flustered. she reads a wide variety of books but specifically chooses the horniest and/or creepiest to read in front of the team. yachi’s shocked when she learns that kiyoko’s favorite genre isn’t dark romance and that it’s actually fluffy romance.

nishinoya made a fake tinder account of tsukishima with the worst photos imaginable (like tsukki mid-trip or him giving a disgusted face to kageyama). the bio says something like ‘i’m 6’1 if that matters and i think red heads should be killed.’ noya matches with the most amount of people and also updates with the worst opinions ever. people still get interested in ‘tsukki’ even when the bio has ridiculous takes and standards. noya is pissed that it is doing so well.

tanaka’s strangely good at dancing but horrific at singing. he tried to serenade kiyoko one day but his voice cracked so badly that he stopped mid-song and left the room. kiyoko laughed but patted his back in reassurance afterwards. the team never lets him live it down ever— the wedding speeches he received all mentioned the event somewhere. he has an excellent moonwalk and can occasionally successfully breakdance.

ennoshita writes fanfic (“story scripts”) about the team and changes the names. he gets the team to act as the characters in his films, which raises some questions when he writes a tragic story about ‘kai’ (a sarcastic asshole) being killed by his rivals ‘tora’ (a dumb asshole) and ‘shouto’ (a dumbass). he once posted a fanfic shipping two teammates (with name changes) and it got really popular.

kageyama uses 3-in-1 body wash/shampoo/conditioner. he says it’s because it’s efficient, and he gets no acne or sweat stench— this makes everyone hate him. he only changes when miwa comes back into his life after college and is horrified. he tells this story as a little joke whenever he wants people to be shocked and/or disgusted at him, even when he’s a pro.

hinata can cook but only because he has a sister and an overworked single mother. he cooks for himself and natsu often, but it’s really simple and uncreative meals because he would rather practice volleyball than work on making interesting dishes. after the time skip, his cooking skills have vastly improved and every meal he makes is some form of brazillian-japanese blend.

tsukishima had a major my little pony phase and is deeply secretive of it. he listens to the soundtrack often and has a drawer full of little collectibles. yamaguchi is the only one who knows about it, and tsukki compares himself to twilight and yamaguchi to fluttershy. he once almost said ‘everypony’ but yamaguchi screamed to cut him off. it went like: ‘stfu everyp-‘ ‘PISS’ ‘…what?’ ‘WE GOTTA PISS. both of us. right now.’

yamaguchi had a musical theater phase and forced tsukishima to sing along with him. he forced tsukki to dress up as michael to his jeremy one halloween. yamaguchi can only workout or study to musicals, which is deeply unfortunate. his favorite songs were helpless from hamilton and michael in the bathroom from be more chill. he tried to audition for school musicals multiple times but would end up having panic attacks and leaving before his audition.

yachi’s notes are the aesthetically color coordinated ones, even though her teachers talk rapidly fast. she’s always humble about it but she spends hours on them. she never has to study because she spends so much time rewriting them that the notes just stick in her brain. she’s had to recently laminate her completed notes because hinata once’s spilled broth onto her notes, which made her cry.

My Haikyuu headcanons Karasuno Part 1 - FIRST YEARS

Hinata Shoyo

🧡• Has diagnosed ADHD. He is constantly very resteless and unfocused, the main reason why he has bad grades. Constantly forgets to take his meds, especially before exams, because he overthinks and worries himself too much beforehand. Has periods of time were he will just hyperfixate on volleyball, and the team especially has to keep an eye on him during these times because he may get too focused during a game and mess up frequently, ruining the flow of the game.

🧡• Before he discovered volleyball, he enjoyed skateboarding, and he still does. He skates to school every morning, along with the occasional morning walks with Kageyama. Alternatively, Hinata uses a skateboard as opposed to his iconic bicycle.

🧡• When he was younger, he would stand outside in the rain, like plants would grow, he thought he would too. His parents told him it as a joke, considering he was always shorter than all his classmates, his parents had never expected him to actually take it seriously and did it for about a month before his parents had to get him to stop because he kept getting awful colds afterwards.

🧡• Loves spending time with the club outside of school, whether it be spending time at Ukai's store or playing just dance at Tanaka's place. Everyone knows that he'll be there every time. The team is like a second family and often doesn't have much to do at home, so he always responds quickly and always shows up.

🧡• After meeting Kenma and getting his number, they often chat about random things. Often, it's early morning, while kenma is getting ready for bed, and Hinata is getting ready for a morning run, at around 5am. Hinata will usually ramble on about his day or how a practice match went, Kenma will often listen while playing a random video game. Sometimes, they video call each other - while Kenma will put on a puzzle game for them both to play, Hinata often seeing a different way than Kenma, they usually win fairly quickly.

Kagyama Tobio

🥛• Loves morning walks. He will usually go with Hinata, as he knows that Hinata also needs to release some energy before the day begins. He loves the fresh smell of morning air, the sound of the trees rustling in the wind, while watching Hinata skateboard his way down the street, a couple meters in front of him.

🥛• Kageyama is very short-tempered and often needs to get away from things to clear his head. He might just sit by the ocean front while thinking about things that may have annoyed him years ago that he's still not over yet.

🥛• After he found out that Hinata skateboarded, he got into the idea of it, too. Sometimes, after school, Hinata would offer to let Kageyama borrow his skateboard to try use - as they walk home together on the same route. At the beging, it usually consisted of Hinata laughing when Kageyama fell off or couldn't go in the right direction. However, a few months later, he began to get the hang of it and eventually got his own skateboard, too, often him and Hinata will skate home together.

🥛• When he was younger, at Christmas, Kageyama would open the back of his advent calander and eat all the chocolates before the right day. He found out from his older sister one year and hasn't stopped doing it since.

🥛• One day, Hinata asked if Kageyama could teach him how to play the piano. Hinata only asked this because he noticed Kags had a piano in his house that belonged to his sister. So Hinata put two and two together and decided Kageyama looked like he could play the piano, so one day Kags invited him over and tried his best to teach him. Unsurprisingly, the session only resulted in a lot of keyboard smashing and almost ended up with someone's head being smashed into the keys - wether it was voluntary or not

Tsukishima Kei

🎧 • One year, when he was little, him and his family travelled over to britain. They went to a huge fancy museum that had a giant dinosaur skeleton at the entrance. After seeing it, he refused to look anywhere else for the rest of that day. This was the start of his dinosaur obsession.

🎧 • Always makes fun of the people shorter than him because he used to hate being tall. He was always told it was a good thing, but he hated standing out - being the tallest kid he was always pointed out and talked about by other kids. However, after he joined the volleyball club in middle school, he realised it was a blessing - and he can quite literally look down on people, so that was a plus

🎧 • Usually when he's overwhelmed or looking for a place to escape, he will just listen to music wether it be in school, walking home, or in the club room - its his way out of any stressful situations.

🎧 • He treasures his headphones as his brother gave them to him as a birthday gift when he turned 10. Akiteru had started working a few hours a week, and every bit of money he earned went towards the headphones. And for that, he was utterly grateful.

🎧 • Wastes the majority of his allowance on fluffy blankets and train rides. He loves watching the sunset on the beach, usually it would be just him and Yamaguchi - they started doing this shortly after their established friendship, but after joining Karasuno there have been times were he has invited the whole team out for a nice relaxing view, sometimes even a barbeque. Yamaguchi would invite them out for his tsunedere ass. Tsukki doesn’t wanna admit he likes them.

Yamaguchi Tadashi

🍠• Yamaguchi's first job was working at Shimada Mart. The job came up when Shimada overheard Yamaguchi talking about wanting a job somewhere, but was worried about the opportunity because he's never properly worked professionally before. He was really appreciate when he took on the job. Everything was great, he was good at doing what he was asked, always on time, etc. The only problem was that whenever a customer would ask him about something he would just freeze up, often reply stuttering and end up giving the wrong information to the customer.

🍠• After an awkward day of school, and or work, he would just lay in bed at night staring at his ceiling thinking about how dumb he must've looked standing awkwardly trying and failing to awnser simple questions.

🍠• Yamaguchi is very shy by nature, but when he's around the team, he opens up a lot. He often surprises himself with how much he is himself around his friends and how often they push him out of him comfort zone and most of the time ends up finding things he really enjoys doing with the Karasuno team along the way.

🍠• After various field trips with the team, hes found he really enjoys them. Sometimes, he manages to coax Takeda into letting them borrow the school bus. Allowing Daichi to drive as he's the only one who actually has a licence out of the entire team. It's never clear where they're going to go that night, but its always a good time wherever or whenever they go.

🍠• Has awful social anxiety. He gets really anxious when he has to do a public presentation in class. Most of the time, he'll ask Tsukishima to order food on the phone since he's too scared to do it. Absolutely hates crying in public and / or in front of people, but usually can't even control it

Yachi Hitoka

🎀• In Yachi's elementary school, they did Christmas shows for the parents every year - she loved them, and this started her adoration for acting, making it a job she vanted to pursue in the future. She always tried out for the big roles in plays when she was in elementary school. One year, she got the role of Mary from the "Nativity" play. She did a great job on stage, but as she got older she got more shy and began to stop asking for specific role - however her parents were good friends with her teacher and managed to speak for her, usually scoring Yachi a role with a lot of lines, which she was grateful for.

🎀• Once time during practice, Kiyoko called Yachi "Yacchan". She never recovered

🎀• Because Yachi wanted to be an actor when she graduated high school, she learned how to do a model walk. Every now and then, she'll randomly do a model walk in the corriders, walking back from helping at the volleyball club (when the halls are fairly empty). Once, Tsukishima caught her doing it and continued to tease her about it until they graduated, now everytime she decides to do it in the corrider she ends up getting embarrassed - doing an awkward run, trying to escape the embarassment.

🎀• She loves reading romance novels/mangas, but only when she's alone in the privacy of her own room. She only borrows them from the library and hides them under her pillow when she falls asleep. When she would read them and theres an extra adorable scene, she would do the hiding her face in the book and kick her feet thing. Same thing with romance movies - she knows fully well she'll be crying by the end of it. It's a guilty pleasure.

🎀• She bonded with Asahi and Yamaguchi over their mutual anxiety. Asahi, as the oldest, is trying to teach them both to be less nervous.
