sourdough is genuinely one of the best hobbies you can get into for ur mental health imo. like. it's pretty involved in the sense that you have to feed ur starter every day, so it gives you a sense of purpose. it challenges you in a gentle way bc finding the best techniques for you & ur starter takes some trial & error, but even if it's not 100% perfect, the bread is still gonna taste good. my first loaf was flat & dense and the crust was rock hard but it still tasted good and i was still proud of it!! having a hobby where you make something from nothing is so great. when you get the hang of it and find techniques to improve, you can make super yummy beautiful bread for ur family and friends and it's so rewarding!! and it makes other people happy too!!!
