I wish people were less stupid about natural remedies and home remedies because some of them work so well but not in an "essential oils cure cancer" way but in a "they can relieve symptoms and, if it's a more serious illness, can be used in addition to real medicine or until you can access real medicine" way. Not even to mention how many meds are just optimised versions of natural remedies (synthetic penicillin vs mould)
ok this is the current snake oil making the rounds. Please reblog this so people are aware
Eating a handful of apricot seeds every day is DANGEROUS they're literally full of CYANIDE 馃槶馃槶 people are saying "that's just Big Pharma(tm) trying to scare you!" Buddy no. There's a reason the CIA uses emergency cyanide pills!!!
Cyanide is DEADLY i cannot stress this enough. I genuinely thought this was common knowledge. Accidentally swallowing a couple seeds is harmless aside from an upset stomach but "10 a day for clearer skin!" Will literally slowly poison you. The pain you're feeling in your stomach isn't "the apricot detoxing your gut" you have CYANIDE POISONING.
There are better things to eat for clear skin. Almonds are related to apricots and have all the nutrients apricot seeds do. Just. Y'know. Minus the cyanide. Don't be the next winner of the Darwin Award guys 馃槶馃槶

馃崑Lemon fruit, seeds, rinds, and oils are toxic to dogs and cats. Most dogs don't like the smell of lemon, but please keep lemon and lemon products out of their reach. [1][2]
馃崑Please use a carrier oil when applying essential oils to your skin or scalp. I recommend doing a skin patch test before applying in large quantities. NEVER put essential oils on pets, even when they're mixed with a carrier oil. It can and most likely will irritate their skin or otherwise negatively impact them.
馃崑Be wary of citrus burns if you work with citrus in the sun. [3]
馃崑Please look into negative drug interactions with medications. I read that Itraconazole doesn't mix with lemon(and other citrus), but the only source I found on that was WebMD, which isn't very credible, so do your own research.
馃崑Lemon causes the erosion of tooth enamel and heartburn when eaten in large amounts.
Researchers show that great bustards in Spain prefer to eat two plant species with compounds active in vitro against protozoa, nematodes, and fungi: corn poppies and purple viper鈥檚 bugloss. Males, who spend much time and energy on sexual displays during the mating season, have a stronger preference for these plants than females, and more so during the mating season than at other times of the year. The authors thus consider great bustards as prime candidates for non-human animals that self-medicate, but stress that more research is needed to definitively prove this.
Speaking of "natural remedies that suck"...remember when people were convinced that eating "horse apples" (the Osage Orange) would cure them of cancer because "Cows eat them and don't get cancer!" What a bunch of fools.
I know that people want cheaper medical options than what we're getting, but snakeoil salesmen (or, in this case, horse apple salesmen) keep pouncing on that desperation. Hopefully we can continue to encourage people to be skeptical of all of this.

This is the first I've heard of it, but yeah, that's a great example of a "natural remedy" that's a complete scam.

馃Make a candle and add cinnamon to the wax
馃Sprinkle cinnamon around, or make a natural bug repellent, to keep away pests, such as ants.
Safety
馃Please do not burn cinnamon. Inhaling cinnamon, especially for long periods, can lead to respiratory inflammation and irritation, as well as coughing, wheezing, and breathing difficulty. Please buy cinnamon incense instead of burning cinnamon directly, the cinnamon in the incense has been prepared in a way that is safer to burn.[1]
馃Please use a carrier oil when applying essential oils to your skin or scalp. I recommend doing a skin patch test before applying in large quantities. NEVER put essential oils on pets, even when they're mixed with a carrier oil. It can and most likely will irritate their skin or otherwise negatively impact them.
馃Please keep cinnamon and cinnamon products out of birds access. Allegedly, Chinese/Cassia cinnamon is toxic to birds but not "regular" cinnamon. I say just keep all cinnamon away from them.[2]
馃Cinnamon, while not fatal, can become toxic for dogs when consumed in large amounts. It causes skin and digestive irritation when consumed and inhalation can cause coughing, choking, and difficulty breathing.[3] These same warnings also apply to cats.[4]
For my fellow trans men: Aloe Vera is a great natural treatment for vaginal atrophy, a common side effect of starting testosterone. It's also safe to use as lube, but only vaginally. Not analy bc the pH levels aren't high enough to match the pH levels of ur anus. 鉁岋笍
