R. WEASLEY X READER !!
prompt: ronald weasley discovers his massive crush on y/n l/n, but he may have made it a bit too obvious…
requested by: no one
warnings: none(?), seamus being an ass for a bit, everyone hating on seamus😭 (ilhsm, seamus is my baby)
gryffindor!fem!reader x ronald b. weasley
Tumblr media
“i’m in love!” the younger weasley boy shouted, maybe a bit too loudly, bursting into the boys gryffindor dormitory.
“who’s the next victim, and how do you plan to torture them this time?” seamus smirked, raising his eyebrows in response.
“shut up, seamus.” ronald spat to the irish boy, somewhat jokingly.
“yeah, cmon, who is it? don’t keep us waiting.” neville replied from one of the beds, suddenly putting down his herbology book.
“well… it’s uh, this girl, y/n l/n.” ronald said, rubbing the back of his neck with a small smile.
“damn ron, she’s hot snatch! you sure you can do this?” seamus joked again.
“seamus! stop being such a git!” dean said shoving his best friend lightly.
“so, you gonna ask her to the yule ball? it’s coming up soon.” harry suggested.
“yeah! i’m gonna write her love letters every day till the week before, and boom! she’ll be smitten!” the youngest weasley boy said confidently, puffing out his chest.
“suureee….” george sighed, rolling his eyes with a grin.”
“shut it!”
Tumblr media
dear y/n,
hello y/n. i have something i must say, i have quite the fancy for you.
but the sad thing to say is that i’m not too sure how exactly to tell you.
i’ll give you a new hint every passing day - up until exactly one week before the yule ball.
hint: gryffindor 4th year.
“my goodness! y/n! i can’t believe it!” hermione said, peering over the letter the girl had gotten from her owl.
“y/n! you have a secret admirer!” hermione said again, getting all excited.
“well, i have no clue who it could be.” y/n reminded.
“it could be anyone in our house and year! harry, ron, dean, neville, seamus-”
“okay okay! i get it!” the girl next to hermione laughed.
“anyone your hoping it to be?” hermione asked nudging her close friend.
“anyone but seamus.” y/n joked.
“hey! what’s wrong with me!” seamus laughed, putting a hand to his heart.
“so do you know who it is?” hermione questioned.
“oh yeah it’s!-”
“NO ONE.” dean smiled as he yelped, covering the mouth of a now flailing seamus finnigan.
“oh really?” y/n asked giving a blank stare.
“nO ONE YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT.” dean said, his smiling getting even bigger and bigger, showing he was up to something, his hand still one seamus mouth.
“uh, sure.” hermione said, turning y/n away.
Tumblr media
just before the girls were going to bed in the gryffindor dorms the next night, an owl came fluttering through, which so happened to be yours.
a letter was plopped onto your nightstand and without a second beat, your owl flew off.
dear y/n
it’s me, once again, you looked really nice today
i’ve never seen your hair like that, all wavy and stuff. not to straight, but not to curly, you looked stunning.
do it again sometime
hint: i’m a ginger
“so? what’s the hint?” hermione asked, coming over to your bed.
“he’s a ginger. it’s ronald.”
“how do you know that though? there could be more than one ginger in our year and house!” hermione reminded.
“who else could it be then?” y/n queried.
“exactly what i thought.” y/n smirked in victory.
“well? are you gonna say yes?” hermione asked, getting more and more excited.
“yeah, yeah i will.”
Tumblr media
as the days passed, the hints became more and more obvious, confirming it was infact ronald weasley.
and the fact that seamus, for the life of him can’t keep his mouth shut, even if he means no harm.
it was time for the yule ball.
it was time to meet ron.
you adjust your dress one last time, walking into the ballroom, trying to find your date.
“hi there, you look like a dream.”
you turn, to see ron, in some somewhat questionable dress robes - but still looking very handsome.
“hi, thank you.”
music started playing, and the ginger to the fore of you held out his hand.
“may i have this dance?”
“yes…yes you may.”
the two of you waltzed to the center of the flooring, he bowed, leaving a kiss to your knuckles.
he put his hand on your waist, as you did his shoulder, and you two began to dance along to the music.
“i love you, y’know that?”
“i think i figured out that much, captain obvious, i love you too.”

+ ron weasley x witch!reader
boy, the lack of ron fics on here is saddening. my goofy king is so under-rated so i just had to write someting. this is purely self-indulgent because i'm obsessed with auror!ron and miss hogwarts. can you imagine dancing with ron in auror robes? swoon.
tags: fluff, getting-together, aged up/adults, after hogwarts
Tumblr media
You're not sure how long you've been staring. It might have been an embarrassing amount of time — if you cared to check.
Time has been good to him. He is taller than you remember, lankier than ever, cheeks hollowing out and accentuating his strong, angled jaw. He's dressed in Auror robes no doubt, the thick black material cutting into the pale, freckled flesh and contrasting tastefully with his fiery red hair.
You spot Harry Potter beside him, who, to no one's surprise, is surrounded by a swarm of people as Ron snickers at him from the edges of the group. Harry throws him a disgruntled look. Their boyish tendencies make you smile, as your mind's eye turns back in time, to your years at Hogwarts.
While most people in your year had been obsessing over the Boy who Lived, you had had your eyes set out for his best friend. He had been, after all, your then closest friend's brother. But nothing had ever happened except for him once borrowing a quill from you and then he was someone else's.
And now, years later, there's just a small flutter in your heart at the sight of him. The dysrhythmia induced by a school girl crush has long disappeared but he's plenty handsome and that is hard to ignore.
"If you'd like me to introduce you, you need only say the word," Ginny's voice stirs you out of your daze.
You blush, tearing your gaze away from the red-head and look at the witch beside you. There's an all too familiar glint in her eyes that makes you frown. You had already caught up with each other several minutes ago, delighted at finally being able to meet each other at this Hogwarts Reunion, which was otherwise impossible because of your busy schedules.
"It's Harry you should be worried about," you retort, gesturing at the sea of innumerable witches he has now disappeared amidst.
"Ron's not seeing anyone at the moment," Ginny notes nonchalantly and you almost choke on your drink.
"It was a school crush, Ginevra," you mutter, but your words sound hollow to yourself as you watch Ron Weasley tilt his head back and laugh at something Luna Lovegood had just said.
"If only you had told me before year seven...," she mumbles, trailing off into her own thought. Only when Harry, Ron and Hermione had famously left their last year at Hogwarts to go on a quest to save the world (a story that was now a bed time tale for the new generation of wizards and witches) did you confess to Ginny that you had had an unrequited crush on her brother. But then the world almost ended, lives were lost and you lost touch with your only link to the Weasleys.
"If only. Too bad a dark, evil wizard was trying to kill us all," you mutter and Ginny throws you a look.
"You're actually perfect for Ron, you know," she remarks and you sigh, sipping the last of the enchanted beer.
"Why are you trying to play cupid, anyway? Do you not have people to meet? Hear Slughorn's looking for you," you say, in a vain effort to change the subject.
"He was?" Ginny asks, suddenly perking up and looking around with a troubled expression.
"If he asks for me again, I was never here," she whispers, slinking off into the crowd and out of sight.
Finally managing to shake off the flaming presence of one, adamant Weasley, you weave your way towards the bar. You order another round of the butter beer and look off to your left and back, only to find yourself standing beside... Ron Weasley himself.
"Hi," you say, a little out of breath, having been caught like a deer in headlights. He looks shocked too, not expecting someone to ambush him at the bar counter.
"I'm Y/N L/N," you add, trying to compose yourself and smile awkwardly.
"Oh...Y/N...?" his expression remains blank.
"Ginny and I used to be close...," you say, trying hard not to let the disappointment shine through in your voice.
"Ahh," Ron mumbles looking away and you're not convinced that means anything to him.
You wish the ground would open and swallow you whole. You're about to make a run for it and apparate, to save yourself from the embarrassment, when Ron speaks up.
"You wouldn't happen to be the girl who set Dean and Ginny up back then, did you?" he asks, as he gestures for the bar tender - Mrs. Rosmerta's son you've learnt.
You frown. "No, I don't think that was me. Why?" you ask, curious.
"Oh they were trouble, don't know why anybody thought they were a good idea," he mutters and you chuckle.
"'Suppose it's better having your best friend date your sister," you note, grateful for an excuse to keep the conversation going.
Ron turns towards you. "You'd think. But every time he's home, she takes up all his bloody time," he murmurs, so very sincerely, that you can't help but laugh.
"Don't tell him I said that though," he says, turning his head to look at Harry in the crowd who has finally managed to find his way to his old friends. "Don't need his head getting any bigger."
You grin. "I doubt it'll ever come up but I'll keep it in mind," you chirp, pausing to take a sip of the drink hat the bar-tender's handed to you.
You fall into easy conversation then, the awkwardness disappearing as Ron's smile gets wider and you start feeling more relaxed. He's sitting much closer to you now, drink in hand, smelling slightly like an old comforter and toothpaste and you're so happy, you've forgotten your drink beside you.
"We had a good run here," Ron is saying. He looks up and around him, at the adorned walls of the Great Hall and you nod.
"She's still so beautiful," you murmur, looking at the ceiling that has been bewitched to twinkle like with sky with stars today.
Ron sighs, wistfully. "Merlin, I miss Hogwarts."
"What do you miss the most?"
"Everything, you know, the food, the teachers, these halls, the dormitories. Blimey, even the classes, the girls—"
"What was so bad about the girls?" you ask, pretending to be offended and Ron's ears turn red.
"No, hell, I mean, it was so difficult to talk to girls back then.... but I'd take that over what I have going on right now."
He looks at you sheepishly, running a hand through his hair.
You frown at him.
"What do you mean?"
"What with work and everything, you know, there's no time," he admits, sighing.
"I'm sure any witch would make time for a wizard like you," you muse, eyes twinkling.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ron echoes, quirking an eyebrow at you but there's a playfulness to his tone.
"I mean— you're an Auror— a great, distinctly famous wizard— and a good man from what I've heard," you say, as the red-head's eyebrows shoot up higher.
"And you're gorgeous," you add after a beat, not quite looking at him but Ron turns crimson. It's bold, for your standards and you decide to blame the beer.
"It's not that easy you know," he says after a moment, clearing his throat.
You look back at him through your eyelashes. There's a new shine in his eyes, a little pucker at the corner of his lips that makes your heart beat a little faster.
You're in the mood to play, so you lean over. "Oh, it's not? Do tell..."
"Well, I've been sat here twenty minutes," he says, leaning closer, voice dropping low, "...trying to rack up the nerve to ask a witch out for a dance and been failing spectacularly so far."
A shiver travels down your back and you tongue the inside of your cheek to keep from grinning. "Maybe try now?"
Ron suppresses a grin.
"Do you...," he's turned a slight shade of pink and you can't help but smile.
"Do you reckon you'd like to dance with me?" he asks, running a hand through his hair, tousling it and you have a mad urge to smooth it out but resist. There's a blush tinting his cheeks but the bashful grin on his face makes your cheeks heat up.
"I'd like that," you whisper as Ron stands up and bows before you, extending his hand.
You weave through a large part of the crowd hand in hand, to a somewhat empty space is the middle and Ron pulls you close to himself, taking one of your hands in his and placing a gentle one on your waist, taking the lead.
You blush a little, surprised by the charge he takes. You definitely like this cooler, confident Ron with bits of awkwardness and goofiness sprinkled in.
"You're a lot different than I remember," you blurt out, regretting it the minute the words roll off your tongue.
To your surprise, Ron looks amused.
"You have memories from school about me?"
You start swaying to the music, falling quite easily into the step of waltz.
Trapped. "Well...I was one of your sister's closest friends and you were only one of the most famous wizard's best friend," you say quickly, before you can embarrass yourself more by letting out your secret.
The song slows down, as you gently sway to the music, painfully aware of how warm Ron's breath is on your face. The hall is quieter now, the couples swaying silently on the floor as others watch and the gravity of the situation sinks in.
You're dancing with Ron Weasley.
You try to contain the flurry of butterflies erupting in your stomach at the realisation, but it's hard to focus when he's so gently holding you against him. You dance in quiet embrace for the rest of the song, fighting a losing hormonal battle, and just as it segues into something slightly faster, Ron spins you out on one arm.
"I'm sorry I don't remember you from school much," he says softly.
It's nothing— it's a pinch, a paper cut if anything. You already know he doesn't remember you but you can't help the flutter of disappointment in your chest his words.
You roll back into his arm gracefully and look up into his piercing blue eyes.
"Quite a shame really, you'd think I'd not be stupid and remember one of the most beautiful witches I've ever seen," he says, a genuineness in his eyes that makes you falter.
You freeze briefly in your little step, a wave of heat erupting over your chest at his swift words. School-girl-you would've melted into a puddle on the floor at these words, but adult-you knows better and wills your rapidly beating heart to slow down.
"You'd think so," you reply breathily, feigning disappointment and Ron chuckles.
"I'm sorry. You've got to excuse teenage Ron, he was a right git," he says and you can't help but laugh.
"I forgive him," you say. "We were all gits when we were sixteen."
"You know," he pipes again, pulling you away from the center of the floor. The music has turned faster now and by the time he's pulled you to the very edges, the floor is a chaotic flurry of limbs.
"We could make up for lost time."
You quirk up an eyebrow at him, surprised by his forwardness.
"For someone who was struggling to ask me for a dance only minutes ago, you're being awfully direct."
Ron blushes but the grin on his face grows wider.
"Something an old friend told me about letting people know you fancy them when you fancy them," he mumbles and you quirk an amused eyebrow at him.
"You fancy me?"
He smiles sheepishly. "I thought it was obvious," he quips, pulling you closer by your fingers.
"I'd like to get to know you better then," you whisper. Ron smiles down warmly at you, turning your stomach to mush.
"I'd like to get to know you better too," he says, and his smile quickly turns into a smirk.
"Your place or mine?"

Beach Week
Hermione Granger seems to think that a week spent at the beach, as specified by a time-honored Muggle tradition for graduating students, would do her, Harry, and Ron some good. Harry, on the other hand, has absolutely no idea what to expect.

Harry Potter would like to put it on the record that this may be one of the worst ideas that he and his friends have had yet.
By all accounts, it shouldn’t even be on the table. Three kids (scratch that, they’re adults now by wizarding standards, but no one has to think about that quite yet) just out of Hogwarts, spending a week out on the beach with no one around to make sure they don’t accidentally blow up a small town. It certainly wouldn’t have been allowed even last year, but then again, last year was different.
Last year, they were still in school. Last year, Voldemort was still out there, and Harry hadn’t lost half the friends he has now. That’s why they’re getting away with doing this, anyway, because although everyone’s certain that he, Ron, and Hermione are going to get up to nothing but trouble if they were left to a house by themselves, they supposedly need the chance to pretend everything is normal for seven blissful days.
Hermione was the one who came up with the idea in the first place. Apparently, she remembers certain traditions that the Muggles celebrate when they graduate from secondary school. Chiefly, the one she likes the most she heard about from her American friends:  Beach Week.
Beach Week is the perfect excuse for a bunch of teenagers to go out and cause problems, all in the name of having fun. Once end of term exams are over and everyone’s either graduated or got as close as they possibly could otherwise, someone rents a house out on the surf and the entire friend group crowds into one decently priced waterfront property for the week. They’ll get drunk, make mistakes that they’ll forget within an hour, and generally have a good time.
Hypothetically, Hermione claims that the three of them should get to take part in this honored tradition as well. Harry tries to argue that they technically haven’t graduated, as they skipped out on their seventh year to ramble around in the woods looking for pieces of Voldemort’s soul in the worst Easter egg hunt known to wizardkind, but she refuses to hear it.
Besides, Harry’s fairly certain that she’s going to try and take her final NEWTs as soon as she can anyway, so it’s not like that excuse would stop her. Hermione says that they should have some time to themselves to actually enjoy life for once, Ron agrees because he gets to escape a house that’s suspiciously quiet now that the twins have just become one, and Harry is forced into accepting the matter at last.
It’s not like anyone would stop them, anyway. No one really knew about the Horcruxes outside of a select, secret few, but they could tell that Harry, Ron, and Hermione did something to put an end to the war, so they steep in their guilt and give in. Also, the three of them have already been living essentially by themselves the last year during the quest to find the Horcruxes, so technically, they’ve already proven themselves.
In all honesty, Harry is looking forward to the week. He has vague memories of the Dursleys taking a holiday or two at the beach, but it was quite some time ago. A picture floats up to the forefront of his consciousness, unbidden, of Aunt Petunia dressed in a faded cover-up so modest that it could have doubled as a nun’s habit, sitting on a rickety old beach chair and carefully folded so as to not let a single inch of skin poke out from beneath the protective cover of an umbrella. He shudders and does his best to forget it immediately.
This will be fun, though. Hermione’s parents have dentist friends that own a small cottage near the ocean, and they’ve been willing to lend it to the three of them for the week so long as they don’t break any windows or get the police called on them. Harry thinks it would be quite amusing to have to fear the Muggle police after being chased by scores of Dark wizards for years, but then again, dentists aren’t typically aware of that sort of thing, are they?
They arrive at the beach house soon enough, straggling to the front door through the weight of far too many suitcases. Harry had been confounded by what to bring to such an event, and his hand had reached unconsciously towards the metallic bars of Hedwig’s cage before stalling, remembering.
Eventually, he just stuffed all sorts of clothes and jumpers and even his broom, wedged crookedly in a brown paper bag, into the same luggage he’s been using for the past too many years, and showed up here. Hermione fishes the key out of a carefully creased envelope in her pocket and lets them inside at last, relieving them of the burden of deciding whether to keep struggling to hold their bags or just give up and set them down on the gravel walkway.
Ron whistles as they head inside, flicking on a lightswitch after staring at it for quite some time in trepidation. “This place is nice. If all dentists can expect this sort of thing for a secondary home, I may have to switch professions.”
Hermione snorts. “You’d have to go to medical school. But sure, go ahead.”
Harry smiles as Ron’s excited expression drops like a stone. “Definitely not,” the redheaded boy decides, “I’ve had enough of school for quite some time. Still, it’s a nice area, and the house next door was even fancier. Who are they, royalty?”
Harry crosses the hall to peer out a window at the house next door. Ron wasn’t wrong, the property to their right is less a cottage and more a purebred mansion. All white stone and pristine paint, it looks as if it’s been preserved by a small flock of perfectionists.
Hermione, frowning at the instructions left by the homeowners, shrugs. “Honestly, I have no idea who they are. Not even the owners know. Apparently, they’re a total mystery. They show up randomly, and no one has ever seen them arrive. One second, the place is deserted, next, the lights are on and everyone’s inside. No one’s ever so much as seen a car parked in the drive.”
Harry squints at the now darkened windows. “You reckon they’re wizards? Maybe they Apparated inside.”
“Actually,” Hermione contemplates, “that might make sense. I’ve heard there’s a huge wizarding community somewhere to the north of us, maybe these people are on the outskirts of that crowd. The house has been here for quite some time, passed down for generations.”
Ron rushes to the window as well. “What are their names?” He asks, suddenly curious, “maybe we know them?”
Hermione joins them in peering through the glass panel as well. “I don’t know, they aren’t familiar to me. Have you ever heard of the Scamanders?”
Ron makes an audible choking sound, and whips around to stare at Hermione. “Did you say the Scamanders?” He sputters out, barely able to control himself. “Like, the actual Scamanders?”
Hermione lets Ron suffer on for a few more seconds, then breaks out into laughter. “No, definitely not the Scamanders. That was a joke, by the way. In case it wasn’t obvious.”
Ron shakes his head, looking vaguely traumatized by how close he’d come to having famous neighbours. “That’s not a joke, Hermione, that’s a test drive for a heart attack.”
Harry looks between the two of them, somewhat confused. Admittedly, between the fact that he wasn’t raised in a wizarding household like Ron and he hasn’t done as much in-depth magical study as Hermione, he isn’t entirely sure why this is so funny.
He does vaguely remember a mention of a Scamander on at least one of the required textbooks that he most definitely read and remembers, so Harry nods politely so as to seem like he’s in on the joke.
Ron sighs mournfully. “It would have been superb to live next to the Scamanders. I could have held that over Percy forever. Wonder who actually does own the place, though.”
Harry leans back slightly, angling for a better look. “I think we might find out. Look,” he says, pointing at the black mist rapidly appearing outside the front door of the house next door, “I think we were right, they are wizards. I think they’re Apparating here right now.”
The three friends peer in unison at the approaching figures. They’re just becoming clear at the moment, stepping out of the shadows in unison. They’re fairly far away, visible only through a solid mass of perfectly trimmed hedges, but one of them turns their head slightly and Harry catches a glimpse of platinum blond hair.
At the same time, Hermione latches onto both of their arms, dragging them down to the ground and out of sight. “Did you see that,” she asks faintly, “or just me?”
Ron’s hand drifts up to desolately prop up his forehead against his knee. “How is it that of all the houses along the coast, we managed to book the one place right next to the Malfoys?”
Out of the necessity to confirm such a terrible statement, they inch up again, just enough to see that yes, those are the Malfoys, and yes, that means they are most certainly doomed.
Harry leans his head back against the wall with a dull thunk. “This can’t be happening.”
“It is happening,” Hermione says with grim conviction, “but it doesn’t matter. We’re going to have a good time, Malfoys be damned. Besides, I reckon they’re probably just as excited to see us as we are to see them.”
Ron nods slowly. “They’ll probably stay inside the entire time. I don’t think it’s physically possible for Lucius Malfoy to stand in the direct sunlight for more than ten minutes. He might catch fire.”
Hermione lets out a decidedly uncharitable snort, and after exchanging glances, the rest of them break out into laughter as well. Despite his initial hesitations, Harry can tell one thing for certain:  this is going to be one hell of a week.
After spending about two hours poking in every corner and cranny of the place, claiming rooms and unpacking luggage in great heaping piles on the floor, it becomes painfully apparent that the three friends are missing one thing that matters the most of all:  food.
A shopping trip is needed, and Hermione shares that there’s a small wizarding community about a ten minute walk from here. They can bring bags and see what they find. It is agreed upon with solemn looks and a great deal of handshakes, and then they’re off.
The walk itself is nice, the air brisk due to the salt air tumbling at them through gaps in the nearby dunes. The land around here is mostly undeveloped, and other than the Malfoy’s secondary manor on their right side, the friends’ cottage is the only one in sight. The only accessible road is composed of cracked pavement sparsely decorated with sand tracked in from the shores, inviting few homeowners and even fewer tourists.
As they head further into town, more properties start to pop up, filling in the empty space in a gradual rush until it seems impossible that the area could have been anything other than overpopulated. As he walks, Harry finds his path guarded on both sides by a hodgepodge of pastel houses all shoved together like too many siblings on a road trip.
Hermione leads them purposefully towards the center of the town, and then past it, weaving through the crowds that appear and disappear as they walk. The entrance to the wizarding centre had to be a little off the beaten path to make sure no Muggles happened upon it by accident, or so the rumours claim.
Eventually, they stop in front of a weatherbeaten bronze statue tucked in the shadow of a seafood shop. The metal man in question appears to be a long-dead mayor or some other political figure of little to no consequence to anyone except the birds nesting at his solid feet. He sports an orange traffic cone atop his otherwise balding head, likely the actions of some young and restless locals.
Hermione leans over to examine the inscription at the base of the statue, then, glancing about to make sure no one can see her, whips out her wand. Harry and Ron shuffle closer to her, blocking off view of the proceedings, and she smartly taps one of the words in the mayor’s long list of accomplishments, the key letters seemingly chosen at random.
On the other side of the seafood shop, a door that had been previously locked with an impressive deadbolt yawns forward. The world waiting beyond its paint splattered threshold is dark, an empty pit of nothingness.
Hermione appears quite pleased with herself. “I was hoping that would work,” she says.
Harry glances back towards the statue. “How’d you know which word was the right one to press?”
Hermione makes a show of looking unconcernedly back at the metal plaque. “Rumour has it that the wizard who created the entrance in the first place misspelled one of the words on purpose to make it glaringly obvious to any passing magical person. It was obvious which one was right after that.”
Harry glances up at Ron, who’s frowning at the inscription on the statue. It appears that he may not have been able to tell which word was wrong at first sight.
Biting back a laugh, Harry walks over to the newly opened door and extends a hand towards the swirling blackness within. “Well?” He asks.
Hermione eyes the entrance apprehensively, suddenly less sure of herself. “You first, then?”
Harry groans, but forces himself to step through before he can talk himself out of it. Passing through the doorway is strange, like walking through a waterfall without ever having a drop touch his skin. There’s a roaring sound all around him, and then he’s through to the sunny streets on the other side.
When he turns around, he notices a smooth wall with an identical door open behind him, no sign of the Muggle town anywhere. Hermione and Ron walk through the door moments later, both wearing the same disconcerted look that Harry must be modeling right now.
Ron cranes his head to get a good look at the newly revealed marketplace. “I like this place,” he comments, “let’s see what they’ve got, shall we?”
The answer to Ron’s question is that these storefronts have got quite a bit, actually. There are too many stores for them to check immediately, but Harry doesn’t think any of them would mind returning for a few more days. There’s a town square reminiscent of the one in the Muggle world, and surrounding streets that extend on to an impressive boardwalk.
Harry can hear dozens of voices hawking wears, freshly baked cauldron cakes and iced butterbeer, finest robes and best ground potion ingredients. He even thinks he sees a few Quidditch suppliers, although judging by the sharp look Hermione shoots his way, he won’t be able to dedicate as much time to those as he would like quite yet.
Hermione claps her hands together briskly. “Well, we should get some groceries first. After that, we can see what we want to bring back. Although if we’re getting perishables, maybe we should wait until later..?”
Her voice loses steam, but Ron picks up where she’d left off. “I say groceries sound good to me. I’m starving.”
Harry quite agrees, and within minutes the three of them are letting themselves in through the door of a sprawling supermarket. The store itself seems ordinary, but everywhere Harry looks, he sees things that aren’t quite right– the clerk over by the side of the produce aisle is poking at a fresh tomato that appears to have sprouted sparkling fairy wings, and in the cold drinks section, there aren’t just juices and sodas but frigid draughts to bring you clairvoyance or hidden strength.
Hermione plucks a list out of her pocket and starts to grab things they need, always the most organized of their trio. Harry and Ron help her somewhat, and Harry makes sure to hurriedly pull some money out of his pocket and slide it over to the cashier when they’ve finished shopping before anyone else can object.
Hermione insists on stopping in a nearby bookstore before they return home, and it ends up being a full forty five minutes before Harry and Ron are able to drag her out again, purchase in hand. Evidently, the weather had been able to sense their despair at never leaving the shop, because by the time they head back out the door, the skies have opened up and sheets of rain pummel the streets.
Hermione tucks her book under the protective shade of her jacket, grumbling. “Why is it that in movies, the characters are always able to just shove things under their jacket and they immediately disappear? Do they have massive pockets that no one else knows about?”
Harry chuckles, having been all too familiar with that particular trope. Ron, by contrast, furrows his brow, causing the raindrops to quickly fill in the wrinkles in his forehead.
“What are you talking about?” He asks, evidently bewildered.
“In Muggle movies,” Harry begins, “whenever there’s a spy or someone who wants to hide something, they tuck it under their jackets. All they do is just reach their hand under their coat and then whatever it was that they were holding is safely secured, no matter how fast they run. I remember Dudley used to love movies where the bad guys did it. Happens all the time.”
Ron still looks doubtful. Hermione just shakes her head, grinning even as the storm rages more fiercely overhead. “We’ll have to show you. Maybe the homeowners kept a few movies back in the house, we can see.”
Ron looks intrigued by this, and by the time they manage to fight the storm long enough to hurry home, he joins the two of them in searching for some DVDs. He’s not much help, as he has no idea what he’s looking for, but when Harry manages to triumphantly come up with a stack of the discs, Ron exclaims that his dad is obsessed with studying the things to see if he can understand how the moving pictures stay inside them.
The storm is still beating the earth outside with a terrific force, so the friends decide to stick inside a while longer and wait for the weather to clear up. Harry grabs some clean mugs, and they manage to procure a round of butterbeer while Hermione gets the TV working.
Thus they spend their first afternoon, crammed into plush sofas and the occasional armchair, chilled knuckles wrapped around hot drinks while they watch a truly terrible spy movie play out on screen. Ron seems delighted by the film despite its crushing mediocrity. True to form, he understands the classic conundrum of how movie characters are able to hide anything from very breakable glass vials to large manila folders just by briefly tucking it under their jackets.
“I just don’t understand how it works,” he says plaintively, “wouldn’t it just fall to the ground? You don’t see them putting anything in their pockets. Maybe it’s magic.”
Hermione shakes her head, grinning. “No magic, these are Muggle films. Although I have to say that Sean Maguire is fairly magical in this by himself.”
Ron’s eyes freeze with something that could be described only as halfway in between disgust and sheer panic. “Hermione?” He asks pointedly.
“Nothing,” she says briskly, and flashes him a smile that makes it clear she won’t specify what that meant. Harry’s not sure that any of them want specification, however, Sean Maguire and his inherent magic be damned.
The first day passes peacefully, no trouble either from the neighbours or random surges of Dark wizards sensing that Harry’s actually enjoying himself and wanting to put a stop to it. The next morning, Harry decides that he’d like a moment alone and heads out to the beach. He’s not sure that Hermione and Ron mind the solitude, which kind of makes Harry want to scourge that thought out of his head with bleach or a strong acid.
After grabbing a fresh beach towel out of a stack of more dusty ones, Harry traipses down to the beach, occasionally stopping to poke at the odd crab or seashell. He hasn’t been by the water in quite some time, if you’re not counting the lake, although Harry does have to mention that he prefers his large bodies of water without them being inhabited by oversize squid.
Satisfied with his final position, Harry spreads the towel out on the sand and takes a seat. The sight of the water is calming, and he takes a few slow breaths in and out. It has been good to be out with his friends, he can admit that freely, but the silence is necessary as well. This alone with his thoughts, the reality of the past few months comes crashing down around him, and Harry feels cripplingly alone with the weight of his losses.
The melancholy doesn’t last forever, though. Even ten minutes later, the sound of the waves beating against the sand has wrested the last of the thoughts from their tumult in Harry’s head. He’s an empty husk of what had formerly been a boy, a student, a sacrifice. He has nothing left to give.
A sound from Harry’s side makes him startle. He turns his head to find out the cause of the disturbance and notices that a figure has emerged from the neighbouring house. Draco slides into a chair with a decent view of the water, just a few feet off of the manor’s expansive back deck.
Hardly more than a shadow himself, Draco glances over his shoulder to find Harry sitting there and staring back at him. They spend a millennia, or perhaps just a few seconds, wondering which one will break first. Neither do, and eventually they look away in unison. Some instinct of Harry’s that must have originated from his first year at Hogwarts waits for Draco to call out something cold and generally demeaning, but the boy stays silent. So does Harry.
Instead, he turns his gaze back to the ocean, which is just as resolute as it had been when Harry was distracted. Nothing changes much in this place, but then again, everything does. Maybe Harry had died in that dark forest at the Dark Lord’s curse all those months ago, maybe he never made it out after all. The sea would still be here, even if he had failed. These grains of sand would go on falling.
He makes his way inside soon after that. Draco’s still there when he leaves, Harry thinks, but he didn’t check. For once, he doesn’t have to watch his back. Hermione and Ron are quiet when Harry finds them, sitting together on a sofa, a knitted blanket much faded from the sun pulled over their laps. They look up at him in one identical motion, and he knows it just as well as they do:  they will not be free of this expectation of something going wrong for quite some time.
For now, though, they have no cause to worry. Once the hour grows late, Hermione retrieves a spellbook from the impossibly tall tower of tomes that she somehow managed to pack inside one of her trunks. It’s a cookbook, apparently, lent to her by Molly Weasley during her visits.
None of them have any idea how to tackle the process of making dinner from one of its recipes, all been so crossed out and covered in addendums of ink notes and sauce spills that the instructions are practically indecipherable. In the end, they make do through numerous efforts and half-baked success, ingredients added at random and doused in a solid dose of incredulous laughter. They might be poisoning themselves at the end, but it’s fun, and anyway, they’ve never backed down from trying.
The rest of the week passes by in such a haze, good memories made, worse ones forgotten. Ron is oddly good at surfing, and although he claims that it’s just like riding a broom, Harry can’t manage to stay on his feet for longer than a minute whenever he tries. Then again, maybe he isn’t giving it his best effort, as the sound of his friends’ raucous laughter is a better reward than even the longest stretch of staying afloat.
About halfway through the week, they have a near catastrophe when Hermione accidentally buys a cursed talisman that grows into a very irritable stone golem the second she brings it home. It smashes three flower pots and thoroughly spooks a seagull before they manage to take it down. Even then, they don’t trust that the thing won’t come back to life at an inopportune moment, and take to assigning shifts to watch it throughout the day.
They return to the hidden marketplace quite often, and over the span of the week it becomes one of Harry’s favorite places. It reminds him of visiting Diagon Alley for the first time, Hagrid by his side. He spots someone selling a Nimbus 2000 and gets hit by a wave of memories so hard he staggers for a second before righting himself again.
It is great, he thinks, how far he’s come. Terrible, but great. He understands the words of a certain mysterious wandmaker now that he’s on the other side of things. Somewhere in him, there’s a boy who’s never rode a broom before, who pestered Hagrid for a solid gold cauldron the second he saw it. Harry buys a golden potion flask just to silence him.
Eventually, despite their best attempts at slowing down time, the end of the week arrives at last. Harry avoids packing up his things until the day before, as if he can allow them to stay another few days just by pretending otherwise.
All good things must come to an end, however, and the final hour of the seventh day finds the three friends again standing outside the door, luggage in hand. Hermione locks the bolt once more, and then they’re off, walking back down the path towards the drive.
In truth, Harry doesn’t know where he’s meant to go from here. He has, hypothetically, been looking into potential professions, but they all seem like distant aspirations. Perhaps he’ll start looking into them once their journey brings them back, though. The last few hours have made him restless. Horizons aren’t so far off now, and he’s shaken off the scent of death long enough to realize that there is far more left waiting for him.
He looks back up at the house once more before they go. The windows are shut, the lights extinguished. It had been a good home for him, and now it’s nothing more than a distant past. Unlike some of the more recent goodbyes, though, Harry doesn’t let it trouble him. He’ll have far more to do in the coming months.
“You coming?”
A shout from the drive; Hermione and Ron have already started loading their things. Harry takes one last second to stare at the house, but a cloud has shifted in front of the sun, and the last of the glass panes in the windows have ceased to gleam.
He nods and turns towards them, pulling his trunk behind him. There’s only the road ahead now, and nothing more. The past is done with Harry Potter, and he with it.

✰  ✰  ✰
“Please don’t tell me you got back together with him!” Ginny groaned. She sat on the edge of your bed as Hermione braided your hair for the night.
“No, I didn’t get back with him. I told him if he really wanted to prove it to me, then he could.”
“So you’re thinking of getting back with him.” She said disapprovingly. Hermione chuckled from her seat in the bed behind you. She was working on doing dutch braids in your hair.
“I think it’s fine, Gin,” Hermione said. “It’s not as if she’s going to jump back in bed with him.”
You waggled your eyebrows teasingly to Ginny. She gasped and swatted your shoulder. “That’s so not funny, (Y/N/N). Just because you think he’s sexy doesn’t mean you should get back with him.”
Theodore broke up with you very unexpectedly. He barely even had a reason for breaking up with you, which left you heartbroken and devastated. You were in bed for a few days, had a good cry, and then you were back.
Theo had tried to mend the broken bond between your relationship, but you just couldn’t bring yourself to take him back that easily. Your ego was high, and you knew you would be kicking yourself if something like that happened again right when you took him back.
“Don’t worry, Ginny. If he really wants me back, he’s gonna have to work for it. He knows that.”
“Alright,” Hermione said as she tied off the end of your hair. “All finished. Your hair’s gonna look so good tomorrow.”
“Theo better be drooling when you see him,” Ginny said, “if not, I’ll give him a different reason to drool.” She made a motion of punching her fists together, insinuating she would punch him in the mouth.
You chuckled. “Hopefully there won’t be any blood drawn. I don’t think he’d really wanna go through all the trouble if it just got him a busted lip.”
“Oh no,” Ginny grinned, “it would be more than just a busted lip. I’ve got five brothers, I’m known to throw a mean punch or two.”
“Lights out girls!” The prefect yelled as she knocked on your bedroom door.
Ginny rolled her eyes. “Alright, I’ll see you guys at breakfast. But for real, if Theo tries anything you know I’m right there for you.”
You smiled, grateful to have a friend as awesome as her. “Yeah, Gin, I know. Thank you.”
She smiled, “night guys.”
You two said your good nights as Hermione moved from your bed to her own.
“What do you think he’ll do tomorrow?” You asked Hermione as she shut off the lights. You pulled the covers close to your body, waiting for her response.
“I’m not sure,” she replied, getting comfy in her own bed. “Hopefully something sweet. He’s got a lot of making up to do if he wants to get back on our good side.”
You smiled softly, “yeah, you’re right. Night, ‘Mione.”
“Goodnight.”
✰  ✰  ✰
The next morning at breakfast, the owl dropped a letter in front of you.
“What’s that?” Ron asked, his mouth filled with food.
Ginny slapped him on the shoulder. “Don’t talk with your mouth full. Honestly, you act like you were raised in a barn.”
“We were raised in the same house, you know.” He pointed.
“What a shame that was,” she replied.
You chuckled at their banter, and ripped open the seal on the letter.
“What’s it say?” Hermione asked.
You scanned over the words before you read them aloud. “It says,
(Y/N),
I hope you know how much you mean to me. I was a fool to break things off with you. I only hope one day you’ll find it in your heart to forgive me.
Forever yours,
Theo”.
“Forever yours?” Ginny squealed. “That is so romantic.”
Hermione raised her brow quizzically. “Weren’t you the one telling her not to get back with him?”
Ginny rolled her eyes. “I can have mixed feelings about this. He breaks her heart but then he writes her a love letter. It’s got me confused, okay?”
You chuckled. “I think it’s cute. It’s not gonna win me back, but it was an alright effort.”
“Oooh, what a burn,” Harry chuckled. “Poor bloke must’ve forgot how stubborn you are.”
You shook your head with a smile, “nah, he didn’t forget. If I know anything about Theo, he’s just getting started.”
“So, (Y/N/N),” Ron said, “do you want to get back with him or what’s going on with this?”
You shrugged. “I mean, obviously I still love him. It just sucks what he did and I don’t think he should be able to get off the hook that easily. He shouldn’t be forgiven for breaking my heart just because he writes a little letter.”
“I love you for that,” Ginny said as she nodded her head.
“Hey, (Y/N/N).”
Looking behind you, you could see Enzo give a sheepish smile and a small wave.
You grinned, “Hey Enzo, how are you? Sorry about yesterday, by the way, Theo’s a little crazy sometimes.”
He chuckled and awkwardly rubbed his hand through his hair. “Yeah, I’ve noticed. But, yeah, no, Theo and I are all good. He apologized last night and told me all about his plans to woo you.”
You chuckled with a roll of your eyes. “Go figure.”
“Yeah,” he smiled, “anyway, I just wanted to come by and resume how we were before, you know, the whole break up thing, and drop off this book I think you’ll like.”
Enzo pulls out a book from his satchel and hands it to you.
“Coraline?” You asked as you flip it around and skim over the synopsis.
“Yeah, it’s kind of spooky and psychological which I think you’ll really enjoy.”
You grinned up at him, “that’s perfect. Thank you, Enzo.”
He sent a tight lipped smile, and nodded before turning away and walking back to the slytherin table.
“I like Enzo,” Ginny said with a dreamy look on her face.
You rolled your eyes with a smile. “Go get him then. He’s a sweetie.”
“You guys and those Slytherin boys,” Ron shakes his head with a scoff. “Not even that cute, I’ll tell ya.”
“Oh, what?” Ginny asked sassily, “like you’re cute?”
“I think Ron’s cute,” Hermione winked at her boyfriend.
“Ugh, barf,” Ginny said.
The bell rang. You all stood to gather your things for first class.
“We’ll see you guys later,” you smiled as Hermione and you walked out to your shared first class.
“That was a pretty cute letter,” Hermione said as the two of you started walking down the hall.
“Yeah, I think it was sweet, but like I said, he can’t win me back that eas-“
“Excuse me?” Someone tapped your shoulder.
Stopping, you and Hermione turned to see a younger Slytherin boy, presumably a first year, standing before you.
“Uh, yes?” You asked confused, “do you need help with something?”
“Um, Theodore says I have to carry your satchel and books for you.” The first year stood awkwardly.
“Oh, uh, that’s okay, you really don’t have to.” You blushed, a little embarrassed that Theo would make a first year cater to you.
“I have to.” He said adamantly. “Theodore said he’ll set me up with this hot girl I like if I carry your books for you.”
Hermione snickered from next to you. You turned back to her, a bewildered smile on your face as you tried not to laugh.
“Well,” you said as you handed the young boy your satchel. “I can’t be the one to stop your true love, now can I?”
The boy grinned as he held on to your satchel as well as his.
“Theodore is crazy,” Hermione remarks as you continue walking to your next class. The boy followed behind the two of you all the way to your first period.
As soon as your classroom came into view, you could see Theodore standing there with a bouquet of flowers in hand. He grinned a devilish thing as he saw you approach.
“I’ll meet you in there,” Hermione said with a knowing smirk.
You walked up to Theo. He was beautiful as ever, but even he knew that wouldn’t get him anywhere.
“Hi (Y/N).” He smiled at you then turned to the kid. “I’ll take it from here. I’ll have my guys put in a good word with Maizy for you.”
The kid nodded his head and smiled as he ran off.
Theo threw your satchel over his shoulder and held out the beautiful assortment of flowers towards you. “For you, to say I’m sorry for being a douchebag and an idiot and a stupid motherfucker. All in the words of Draco by the way. Never knew how much he liked us together.”
You chuckled and grabbed the flowers out of Theo’s hand. “Thank you.”
He smiled and shoved his hands in his pockets. “So, have you thought about what I said yesterday?”
You sighed. “Of course I’ve thought about it Theo. Just like I’ve thought about how much you broke my heart when you dumped me.”
“Okay, I deserved that.”
You chuckled. “Yeah. Thank you for the flowers, Theo. And… I still care about you, I just need time to figure this all out. I can’t just forgive you that fast when you broke my heart, just  last week!”
Theo sighed, “I know. I know! Fuck! I know I fucked up, baby, but I am going to do everything I can to win you back. I’ll wait for you. I’ll wait as long as it takes, baby, I swear it to do. The boys are down my back yelling at me for how hard I screwed everything up. They think I’m stupid, and I think I’m stupid too for letting you go. I promise you, I will do everything it takes for you to trust me again, mi amore.”
Your eyes softened. Theo knew exactly how to make your heart soar.
“Theo…”
“No, baby,” he shook his head. “You take your time. I’m gonna be here whenever you decide if you want to forgive me or not. Hopefully you decide you do want to forgive me.” He chuckled awkwardly.
You matched his awkward laugh. “Well, thanks again for the flowers. They’re very pretty.”
Theo smiled and nodded before turning around and walking away.
✰  ✰  ✰
Later that night, you sat in the library studying for your Herbology final. Ginny and Hermione offered to help you study, but you knew you’d be here too late to want to burden them.
As you flipped through the pages of your herbology book, you tried your best to take down any notes that you thought would be important.
Your stomach growled.
“Knew that was inevitable.”
When you looked up from your textbook, you could see Theo sheepishly smiling as he held two trays from the cafeteria.
“What was?” You asked with a smile. You cleared some papers to make space for Theo to sit down.
He grinned and placed the trays on the table as he took his seat next to you.
“Knew you would forget to eat while you studied for this exam.”
You chuckled and peered over to see what Theo brought you to eat. Ham, potatoes, and stuffing from the dining hall.
“Thank you, Theo. That’s really sweet of you.”
He slid a tray closer to you, and you eagerly picked up the provided fork and dug in.
Theo chuckled as you scarfed down your food. “Pretty hungry?”
You nodded as you finished chewing. Theo smiled to himself and started to take a few bites of his potatoes.
“You’re being awfully sweet to me, Theo.”
“Haven't I always been sweet to you, darling?”
“Well, yes. But that was before.”
Theo sighed. “I know I screwed up royally. I’m trying to make up for my mistakes. I’m still the same boy I was just a few months ago. I had a lapse in judgment and that cost me the best thing in my life.”
You frowned. “Theo…”
“Don’t you miss me, (Y/N/N)?” Theo shifted to face you straight on. He nervously leaned forward on the table, staring into your eyes, waiting for your response.
“…of course I miss you, Theo. How could I not? You’re everything to me, and I’m just so scared of something like that happening again.”
“(Y/N),” Theo started. He tentatively grabbed your hands in his. “I promise you, with everything in me, if you decide to take me back I will never hurt you or disappoint you ever again. You have my word mi amore.”
You were conflicted. You miss Theo like crazy. You couldn’t help it. No matter what you said to your friends about him having to work hard for you, it tore you apart every time you saw him knowing you still weren’t together. You missed being his.
“Okay,” you said.
“Okay?” Theo’s face lit up. “You-you’re giving me another chance?”
“Yeah,” you softly smiled, “I miss my boy.”
Theo grinned and yanked you toward him, engulfing you in a hug—one you’ve been waiting days for. You missed him. You missed being held by him.
You held around his neck tightly, scared to let go. You never realize how much you craved his touch when it was gone.
Theo buried his face in your hair, breathing in your scent. “God, I’ve missed you.”
You smiled and pulled back. Theo smiled back at you. Slowly, you leaned in and pressed your lips against his in a warm, longing kiss. Your hands rested on his cheeks, his on your waist as you kissed with all the love stored up between you.
When he pulled away, Theo stayed close with his forehead rested against yours. “I promise you baby, I’m here for good.”
“You better be.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were lying in bed with your pajamas while reading a book. Downstairs there was a Gryffindor party in the common room, but you had a bit of a headache so you decided staying in your dorm would be better.
Your reading was interrupted when you heard knocking on the door.
"Who is it?" you call as you place the book down and stand up.
"It's Ron... and Harry!"
You go and open the door and smile at two of your favorite people.
"Hello," you smile at them.
Harry's eyes were closed as he leaned on the door frame and Ron was holding him up with on arm.
"Hi, I came to bring Harry. He had too much Firewhisky and then started to shout about how he wanted you, so I figured it was best to bring him here before he embarrasses himself more," he quickly explains.
"Classic Harry, thanks for bringing him Ron," you laugh.
Ron pulls him and places him in your arms. You thank him again, he tells you to come get him if you need anything and he goes back downstairs to the party.
"Hi Harry," you say while brushing some hair off his forehead with your fingers.
"Ah! Don't touch my hair," he says in alarm with slurred words.
"Why not," you frown.
"Only my girlfriend can do that"
"Oh really?" you grin.
"Yep," he hiccups.
You sit him down on the bed and fix his glasses that were falling down his nose, you kiss his forehead and he lets out a shriek.
"My girlfriend is going to kill me," he mumbles in horror and wipes away your kiss with his hand.
"Who is this girlfriend of yours?"
"Y/n," he sighs dreamily falling back onto the bed.
"Wanna tell me about her?"
"She's perfect. She's so sweet too, shes like- like- a rainbow of happiness"
"A rainbow of happiness?" you giggle at his words.
"Mhm, she is like- so pretty that I'm jealous, and everyone loves her. She plays with my hair, and holds my hand everywhere, and I love kissing her. Her mouth is so amazing-" Harry smiles while he thinks of you.
You started to blush at his words and he continued to ramble about the things he loves about you.
"I'm going to marry her one day," he blurts out with red cheeks.
"W-what?"
"Do you think she would marry me? Oh! I need to start planning," he stands up and stumbles to the desk to find paper.
"Woah, woah, you can plan another time, and I'm sure she would be more than happy to marry you," you tell him as you bring him back to the bed.
You go to take his shirt off to change him into his pajamas, but he tugs his shirt back down.
"Don't look!" Harry exclaims, worry clear on his face.
"Fine, if I close my eyes will you change into these clothes?"
"Yes, turn and cover your eyes. No peeking!"
"No peeking, got it," you laugh.
He changes fast and he tells you that you can look again.
"Y/n is the only person who can see me like that. Not a random girl in my room- do you think she'll be mad at me because you're here?"
"Umm- lets just get your teeth and hair brushed"
"Okay," he sighs.
You bring him to the bathroom and hand him his toothbrush and watch him struggle to keep his eyes open.
You brush his hair and when you both finish you two lay on the bed.
His eyes are falling shut as you hand him water to drink. He spills it on himself when he misses his mouth. You laugh and say a spell to dry him and the bed.
"Night, mystery person. Tell y/n I said goodnight and I love her if you see her," he whispers drifting off to sleep.
"Okay, goodnight Harry," you kiss his head.
The next morning you had so much fun teasing him about the previous night.

Pairing - Fred Weasley x Fem!Reader Summary - When Fred finds Y/n wearing a jumper which isn't her own (and certainly isn't his), he can't help but question who it must belong to. Warnings - Bit of angst, mentions of stress Words - 1.5K
Masterlist
It was a jumper. It was just a jumper. A bit of material, sewed together by needle and thread with absolutely no deeper meaning than such. At least, that's how Y/n saw it. Fred, however, saw the Hufflepuff title over the jumper, the smell that still lingered and the initials which were still printed into the label. Just two letters which taunted him: C.D
Fred had made it abundantly clear from the moment the two made their title of couple official, that Y/n was his. His hand seemed very so delicately glued to her, his eyes trained on her (even when she wasn't looking) and constantly trying to be at her side. This was mostly because of the great feelings he felt for the girl; feelings of which, sometimes, he struggled to comprehend. But there was too a small part of him which did it to ensure no one else got any ideas.
The boy wanted to make it out to be as if there was no point in trying. If he was to ensure that their relationship was shown to be as concrete as it felt, then no one else would try to slip their way between them. And Fred's plan had been working; it had been working bloody brilliantly. Well, that was before now. Because, as it turns out, the Weasley boy had walked into the library, set to meet Y/n, only to find her sat at a table with friends, dressed in a jumper which wasn't her own - and certainly wasn't his.
She was sat there, a book flicked to a page Fred knew she definitely wasn't reading as she quietly giggled with her friends. Friends of which Fred knew weren't Quidditch players who he also could assume wouldn't thus own Quidditch jumpers. So, the question which came to Fred's head, was simply: Who's jumper was it?
He had been standing at a halt in the middle of the Libary, so deep in thought he didn't have it in him to get Y/n's attention. That was until she caught his sight, smiled, then lost her smile as she noted his discouraged expression.
The girl retracted from her table and wandered towards him, "Hey," She flash a grin which wasn't returned. "You okay?" She asked him, brushing her palm against his forearm in hopes to ease whatever was eating him.
"New jumper?" He sneered through a firm frown.
Y/n looked down as if she were just reminded of what she was wearing, "Oh yeah, I ended up getting some bulbadox juice on me in potions, so Cedric offered me his jumper. Quite embarrassing actually." The girl laughed the story off as just one of them silly things, but Fred had made no move to loosen his ever so stern expression.
He just nodded stiffly and said, "So it's Cedric's?"
Y/n huffed. She knew that Fred could be...protective. It was an attribute which she did adore, but there were times, more recently, when she was finding it more difficult to deal with. If she were to talk to someone else for too long, or laugh too hard at someone else's joke that wasn't his own, she'd feel Fred shift at her side. Y/n knew he never meant it in a nasty way, it was just who he was. Not to mention, with exam pressure and such, any emotion between either of them seemed to become amplified.
"It's just so I didn't look stupid for the rest of the day." She attempted to assure him, but it seemed too late; Y/n had already lost him to his sea of doubt and troublesome worries. "Fred," She said through such a soothing tone, "It's just a jumper."
He shook his head and muttered, "It's not." Before turning his back on the girl, leaving her no chance to get in another word.
She watched, empty pupils and a blank stare as he walked away. Y/n wasn't sure what more she could have said - or even if there was much more she could have. So she settled in her stance, not daring to drag her sights away from the redhead until he had completely exited the Libary. Her thoughts raced. She couldn't leave it like this. Not when it was an argument that never needed to happen.
Before her plan had fully been conducted in her head, she was already walking. Of course, she couldn't be sure where Fred had run off to, but Y/n made a guess for the dorms as she wandered the stairs towards the Gryffindor common room. She slipped through the entrance and found herself in the quiet confinements of the room.
There was a fire cracking in the corner, some vinyl playing quietly and a few students dotted around in their usual places. She scanned the room. Unlike the rest, she wasn't fitting into the tranquil atmosphere that the room created. Instead, she was pooling in worry and haste to catch Fred before this situation got worse. Her pupils found George, sitting closest to the vinyl player and having his gaze pulled to Y/n from the moment she had walked in.
The other twin pushed himself from where he was seated to meet the girl in the middle. "He's in his dorm." He informed and her eyes flickered to the stairs. "I don't know what happened, but just be kind on him, the O.W.L.s aren't have got him stressed."
Y/n nodded in understanding, "The thing is, nothing happened. Nothing really." She shrugged as she felt her gaze being pulled towards the stairs she knew led to Fred. "I just need to talk to him."
George flashed a smile that was soft and sweet, "He needs you, Y/n." He said in full confidence.
She returned the smile, already beginning to walk towards the stair way. "Thanks, George." And with that, the girl slipped away and wandered towards the dorm room she had been in too many times to count.
Her feet slowed as she reached the door, finding that the wood taunted her. Her breath ached against the air and she almost thought about avoiding this situation. She considered turning her back and running. As much as she adored Fred, this conversastion was one of which she knew they would struggle to get through. But it was one conversastion of which couldn't be silent.
So she brought her knuckles into a fist and patted them against the door. Y/n waited a moment or two before hearing an uncertain, "Yeah?" From the other side.
One last breath leapt from the comforts of lips before she swung the door open and entered the dormetory. She stood awkwardly in the doorway as she met Fred's eyes, sat with his legs flung over the bed side. Neither of them broke an expression. Their eyes were blank and empty, waiting for the other to make the next move in this chess game they found themselves in.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Fred as the girl took a step forwards, shutting the door behind her.
She shifted on her feet slightly, "Came to talk to you." Y/n answered as she dared to move further into the room. She watched as he huffed, shaking his head in dismay. So she too huffed and uttered out a, "Fine."
Fred's brows knitted as Y/n wandered to his waredrobe, reteriving one of his own hoodies, one of which the girl had stolen before. From there, she slipped from the one Cedric had loaned her and put Fred's on, his familar scent brushing against her nostrails once again. Then she turned to the boy and raised a brow, "Better?"
He dragged himself from the bed and met the girl in the middle of the room where he looked down on her, "It wasn't just about the jumper." He told her.
She reached a hand out, letting it cup the side of his face - something of which he had effortlessly eased into. "Then what is it?"
His own hand grasped the one which comforted his cheek, pressing a sweet kiss to her palm. "It's just-" The words choked his throat as he pushed them out. "It's when you wear mine, when you go around with my jumper on, my number on your back, in Griffindor colours, everyone knows it's because you're mine." He paused and Y/n waited for him to gather his words. "So when you wear someone else's, I can't help but think it's the same."
Y/n would be lying if she didn't admit to the fact that her heart was fluttering, but still she comforted the boy and flashed him a soft smile. "I am yours. But a jumper, a bit of fabric, doesn't get to decided that. We do, Fred" She assured him as their pupils seemed tangled together - just as their hearts were.
Fred leaned his forehead forward until it met the girls. And there, through the silence of Fred's dorm, he whispered, "Mine."

Smut under the cut!
Ron laid flat on his back as your naked, sweaty body bounced up and down on his hard cock. You shone with sweat and your head was thrown back, letting your long hair perfectly run down your back in flawless ripples. Your tits bounced up with every move you made, and Ron reached up to squeeze them with both his hands. Both of you moaned in pleasure when Ron's cock hit your g-spot, causing your pussy to squeeze tightly around his thick length.
You brought both your hands down onto your boyfriend's abdomen, where you felt his muscles flex under his skin, and he let out a whimper, bringing both his hands up to grip your hips tight enough to leave marks.
You sped up your pace and Ron dug his head deep into the pillow behind him, and you felt his nails dig into your skin. His hips jerked up into yours frantically and just as he was about to let his load out into you - his eyes fluttered open.
Ron's arms were wrapped tightly around your waist, and your body was pressed against his in a spooning position. Ron immediately groaned in disappointment and discomfort when he realised that it was all a dream and that he was still hard as a rock. He unwraps his arms from your waist and tries wiggling away from you to create space between you, but you instantly flip around onto your stomach, throwing a leg over Ron's hip, while cuddling deeper into his chest.
He suppresses a moan, because despite the illusion of privacy you got from the curtains pulled around Ron's four poster bed, his four other dorm mates were probably still in their respectful beds, sleeping. Ron froze. He had no idea what to do from there. His mind races while he tries to make up his mind; should he go to the bathroom and get himself off or take care of himself right next to you. He didn't think twice, reaching into his sweatpants to free his hard-on.
Once he's shimmied his sweatpants and briefs down his thighs, he starts to relieve himself. He groans and bring his knuckles between his teeth as he tries to control his slow movements, intently staring at the way your legs are slightly spread for him. Your legs and panties are exposed, the t-shirt you borrowed from Ron riding all the way up past your hips, allowing Ron a perfect view of your panty-clad cunt. His movements start to speed up, but he goes still as soon as soon as he hears a quiet "Ron?"
Your eyes are fluttering open, and your head is tilted at just the right angle that you get a perfect view of his hand tightly wrapped around his leaking cock. You blink a couple of times, allowing yourself to adjust to the rather sudden change of sleeping, to seeing your boyfriend jerking off. You look up with raised eyebrows at your boyfriend's face, which has suddenly gone all red, and can't help but giggle slightly.
You reach down to replace his hand and mutter to him "Here, let me take care of you", and he does. The hand previously on his cock reaches up under his your shirt to grip your waist and his second arm wraps around your shoulder, pulling you impossibly closer to him as if it would suppress him moans. Ron bites his lip and throws his head back, grunting quietly and you put a hand on his abdomen as if it would help, but it only causes Ron to desperately whine.
"Ron." You say again, but only this time it's in a warning tone, and Ron tries stifling the noises he makes by biting your shoulder. You gasp quietly and increase the pace on Ron's dick. A harsh tug on your hair makes you look up at him only for Ron to slam his lips onto yours. You feel the muscles in his lower stomach contracting which never fail to tell you he's close and bring that hand down to focus on his red tip. This has his hips frantically humping up into your hand as he releases onto the sheets and pretty much everywhere else.
Once he's ridden out his orgasm and is safe from releasing any other inappropriate sounds, he breaks the kiss. He's red in the face and his chest heaves up and down as he tries to catch his breath, but a shy smile still finds itself on his face, and he tries to hide his embarrassment by burying his face into your chest. You giggle, both your hands starting to play with his ginger hair, the unspoken question floating in the air.
"I had a dream." He finally admits and you look down at him, pressing a soft kiss on his forehead. His arms wrap around your torso once more and he rolls onto his stomach, and you move so he's now resting between your legs, his head laying on your stomach as you play with his hair. "Well you might just have to have those more often"
"No you won't!" A voice interrupts, which you recognise as Harry's, essentially ruining the moment. Ron's face flushes again and he groans, even as you laugh in shock.

Cold Nights
Harry Potter x Reader Words: 716 Summary: Together with the Golden Trio you are searching for Horcruxes and winter has come. Despite all the measures, you just can't get warm and the cold keeps you from sleeping. But the concept of body heat could help you.
Months had passed since the beginning of your search. So far you had only had minor successes. To make matters worse, winter had finally caught up with you. The temperatures had dropped surprisingly sharply overnight. But today it snowed for the first time. And not just a little. You didn't know when you had last seen so much snow.
Like every night, Hermione had conjured up her glass-fires to warm up the tent. This seemed to be enough for Ron, Hermione and Harry, but you were incredibly cold. You had pulled your blanket up to under the tip of your nose to try and expose as little of your body as possible to the cold air.
Tired, you looked at the other beds. Ron was snoring and obviously fast asleep. Hermione and Harry were also lying motionless in their beds. You yourself were also tired, but the cold made your body shiver. Your teeth were chattering and you were struggling to control your body's twitching.
You didn't know what else to do. You didn't want to wake the others. Rolling onto your side, you pulled your knees towards you, hoping to warm yourself with your own body. Again your teeth chattered.
"Is everything okay?" you heard Harry murmur tiredly. He was sleeping in the bed closest to you. In the dim light of the blue flames, you could see his face. He looked at you from squinted eyes.
"Y-yes, I'm fine. I'm just cold," you replied, shivering. You didn't want him to lose sleep over you.
"I can hear your teeth chattering all the way over here. Didn't you put a warming spell on your blanket?"
"Of course I did. I don't know why I'm so cold. I feel like my toes are freezing." You tried to laugh, but to be honest, you felt more like crying. You were dead tired and all you wanted to do was sleep.
The rustling of a duvet pulled you out of your thoughts. You could see Harry's silhouette coming towards you.
"Move over a bit." Harry was standing right in front of your bed, looking down at you.
"What?" you asked him, confused.
"I want you to slide over a bit."
"What for?"
"I can't sleep with your teeth chattering like that. You need to sleep, I'm just trying to help you."
You made room for him. Not a second later he had laid down next to you. His body heat was directly noticeable.
"Thank you Harry," you whispered and pressed yourself as close to him as you could.
He put a hand around your waist. You were glad it was dark, because a blush crept into your cheeks. You hadn't wanted to admit it to yourself before, but you had definitely had a crush on him for a long time. But at the same time he was your best friend and you didn't want to risk losing him as such.
What you didn't realise was the fact that you weren't the only person who was suddenly unfathomably flustered. Harry lay rigidly beside you. When he had decided to lie down in bed with you, he had not expected that being so close to you would paralyse him. He didn't know how to position himself. He didn't want to pressure you into anything and at the same time he never wanted to let you go again.
It took quite a while until you both finally fell asleep. But at some point exhaustion overcame both of you. The cold of winter had disappeared in the meantime and a pleasant warmth enveloped you, allowing you a peaceful and deep sleep.
The next morning Hermione and Ron were the first to wake up. Surprised and grinning at the same time, they both looked at the sleeping figures of their two friends.
"It's about time they finally got together," Ron finally said. It had been exhausting to watch the two of them dancing around each other.
"Do you think we should wake them up?" asked Hermione quietly.
"Don't you dare," a raspy voice replied, making Ron and Hermione jump and wince.
Harry had opened one eye, looked at his two friends, wrapped his arm tighter around you and finally closed his eyes again.
The search for Horcruxes could wait another hour or two.

—————————————————————
You weren’t even the one to notice it at first. Luna was at your side while you two studied on the lawn. There was a quiz in herbology and you desperately needed her help.
“They seem quite close.” Luna comments. You follow her eyes across the way to see Ron leaning against a pillar and Hermione in front of him holding her books and laughing at a joke he undoubtedly told. He smiled brightly and you watched as she leant out her arm to touch his.
Your heart kind of dropped but then you reminded yourself that they were friends. Just friends, and you didn’t need to worry.
At dinner you sat next to him and he pressed a kiss to your cheek and had his hand on your thigh as you two ate. You talked about your day and everything was pretty normal and you forgot what happened earlier - it became irrelevant, until the next day.
You didn’t see Ron at breakfast…or Hermione. Harry told you that they were in the hall studying for his test and normally it wouldn’t bother you except for the visuals you had of them yesterday. You trusted the both of them, sure, but it didn’t stop an insecurity from growing. You aren’t the type to compare yourself to another girl, but you can admit that his recent actions are hitting some kind of nerve.
———
“Hello Y/N!”
“Hi Y/N!”
Fred and George came over so that you were sat in the middle of them. You were on the couch in the Gryffindor common room writing a letter to your parents.
“Hey George, Fred. What are you guys up to?”
“Bored.” Fred answers.
“Are you doing anything interesting ?” George asks.
“Just writing.” You say.
You talk to them for a while until you all looked towards the portrait as it opened. You heard giggling and waited to see who would come out - Ron and Hermione. They both carried snacks and shared a bag of crisps.
“Hmmm.” Fred hummed.
“Hmmm indeed. They look cozy.” George whispered.
They both got up at the same time and rubbed Ron’s head as they left - probably to cause trouble somewhere. Hermione waved to you before going into her room, and Ron sat in the seat next to you, offering his crisps. You decline and feel yourself become stiff.
“Missed you today.” he says, going in to kiss your neck.
You move slightly so he doesn’t get the chance. “Where were you?”
He looks confused for a second at your movement but doesn’t comment. “With Hermione…and Harry. I’m sorry I’ve been distracted today.”
You hum. “Okay. I’m going to bed.”
“Already? It’s not even late yet.”
“I’m tired Ronald. Goodnight.”
You never called him by his full name but you must admit you were irritated. Yes he’s allowed to spend time with his friends, he doesn’t have to be around you 24/7…but them being so close just made you feel weird.
The next morning you woke up late…barely slept - tossing and turning thinking about Ron and Hermione. It made you sick to your stomach how seeing the two of them made you feel. And how could you even say anything? You would seem like a bad girlfriend if you brought it up. So you wouldn’t.
When you arrived at breakfast you saw Hermione next to Ron and Harry across from Ron. Hermione was stealing food off of Ron’s plate and he would pinch her every time she tried causing her to giggle. You couldn’t watch. It just seemed so flirty to you and you couldn’t stand it.
You decided to sit next to Blaise, as you haven’t caught up with him in a while. Yes he was friends with Draco and Pansy, sworn enemies to your friends but Blaise didn’t care about any of that. You two have been close since childhood. You told him what was troubling you (quiet enough so that Draco and Pansy couldn’t hear) and he told you that your feelings were valid. That Ron seemed good enough but his actions can definitely seem off putting.
———
Across the hall Ron watched as you sat next to Blaise and began to talk. He was aware of yours and his relationship but he didn’t understand why you’d rather sit next to Blaise than him. He was also confused as to why you were late to breakfast and short with him last night. It wasn’t until he saw Blaise whisper something into your ear that made you giggle that made him angry.
“Why is Y/N sitting over there?” Ron asked no one in particular.
Harry turned and saw and so did Hermione.
“That’s strange,” she commented. “I haven’t seen her much at all these past few days actually do you think she’s been with him?”
Ron didn’t like that comment. He wasn’t jealous, no, but it did irk him a bit. He’s been with Hermione and Harry…does that mean she’s been with Blaise?
When he saw you in the hall a few hours later he tried coming up and talking to you but you just gave him a quick look and walked away. That pissed him off. Now he realized what you were doing was intentional. He just couldn’t figure out why.
It happened again during your last class which you conveniently had together - you avoided him. Made sure that you always seemed to be busy in conversation with someone else so that he would look like the asshole if he interrupted. You were being coy and he knew it.
———
You had managed to ignore Ron all day. That was Blaise’a advice. Yes, it was petty, but you were mad. Give him a taste of his own medicine. It hurt because you missed him, and you thought about how this might push Ron towards Hermione more but if Ron didn’t notice your absence then you shouldn’t be together.
You sat in the common room, playing a game with Luna when Ron made his way over.
He leans down so that his lips are next to your ear.
“You’ve been avoiding me.”
You roll your eyes.
“And so what if I have? Didn’t think you’d notice anyway.”
He clenched his jaw and didn’t say anything for a moment. You got nervous but continued your game.
“C’mon, let’s go.”
“I’m playing this -“
“Y/N.”
And that’s all it took. You followed him into his room and watched as he cast a spell to lock the door. You took a seat on his bed and watched as he took his robes off and began loosening his tie.
“So what’s going on?”
“Nothing.” You say.
“Don’t say that. I know it’s something, don’t lie to me.”
You cross your arms and stare at the floor.
“If you can hang out with your…friend…Then I should be able to hang out with mine, right?”
Ron took a moment to thing as he leaned against his dresser so that he was sitting on it. Then it clicked for him. Hermione. Blaise.
He grinned, but you could tell he wasn’t happy.
“So, you see Hermione and I together, and instead of communicating your feelings, you decide to make me jealous and angry by hanging out and flirting with Blaise?”
“I wasn’t trying to - wasn’t trying to make you jealous. I went to him for advice.”
He shakes his head. “What I’m hearing is you don’t trust me. Don’t trust me enough be loyal and respect your, our, boundaries.
I don’t want anyone but you, and I thought we were on the same page. I love you. Don’t want anyone but you, wouldn’t even dare look at anyone else the way I look at you. You should feel comfortable enough to talk to me when you’re feeling some kind of way.”
You were silent. He was right. You should have just talked to him. He would have understood.
“I’m sorry.” You say.
He nods towards his bed. “Undress please.” he comes closer as you do. “Obviously I have to show you to trust me.”
You have to admit, you were excited, but nervous.
He moves you up so that your head was on his pillows and he was in between your legs. He leans down so that his lips were right above yours and waits until you make the first move. You lift your chin up and he kisses you, hard, and passionately. His hand makes his way up to your neck and squeezes gently which makes you moan into his mouth. When he takes his hand away you whine until he pulls away and pulls your arms so that they’re above your head.
He removes his tie and ties your wrists to the headboard.
“Ron, please…”
He knew you loved to touch. Loved your fingers in his hair or on his back, around his neck. He was taking that privilege away and kissing down your neck. He took a moment to take one of your nipples into his mouth while he massaged the other. When he was done, he switched sides until finally he was ready to leave more wet kisses down your body.
When he got to just below your belly button he took his thumb to rub at your clit. You moaned and tried to pull your arms away from the headboard. You wanted to touch, so bad.
“Ron, oh God.” You whined.
He kept rubbing as he back up so that he was on his stomach, arms positioned under your legs, hands on your breasts, and face near your heat.
He leans down and licks a stripe up until he gets to your clit - there he sucks until your moans turn into pleads.
You try to close your legs or move but he holds them apart as he continues the pressure against your clit. He brings his middle and ring finger to your mouth and tells you to suck while he starts to flick his tongue against you. Once he’s satisfied he brings his fingers down to gently press against your entrance.
Ron puts one finger in and you moan.
“Ron! Please, please, please, more.”
“You think you deserve more baby?” He moans into you. “Think your pussy deserves to cum tonight?”
Your whine is nearly a cry. You’re just wishing and hoping he adds another finger.
“Tell me who I belong to Y/N. Let me hear you say it.”
“Mmmm. You belong to me Ron please, more.”
“I belong to you hmmm? Say it louder, I wanna believe it.”
“Fuck, Ron, You’re mine Ron please, please, please.”
He adds another finger, and continues a steady rhythm while pressing kisses to the insides of your thighs.
“And you belong to me baby. You’re all mine, and you’re gonna gonna cum on my fingers, okay? Want you to cum for me, can you do that?”
“Yes. Yes. Yes please Ron I wanna cum for you.”
He brings his tongue back to your pussy and begins licking your clit fast while pushing his fingers in and out of you curving them slightly as to hit your g-spot.
“I’m close Ron, fuck! I’m close, I’m close, I’m close.”
Ron practically grins against your pussy and goes faster.
“You’re close? Cum for me baby. Cum for Daddy, wanna taste you on my tongue.”
He continues and you fight against the restraint as you moan loudly and cum. Your fingernails were dug into your palms and there were nearly tears in your eyes. You felt so good. He made you feel so good.
He got up so that he could untie you.
“I’m sorry if I made you feel like I was anyone’s but yours. No one can ever compare to you. You’re forever mine, and I’m eternally yours.”

— 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐏𝐎𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐑
after being around harry and you earning his trust, everything eventually fell together. it didn’t take long to realize his feelings for you. he realized when he saw you with someone who wasn’t him, wether it was just a guy friend or a guy who seemed like he’d flirt with you, he realized he’d have to take his chance before someone else could.
shy, and unsure, hermione and ron began noticing and continued pushing him closer to you, like an awkward school crush.
he began a small conversation, flustered with every word you said he began to ask nervously, “y/n? would you maybe be interested in um- going out with me?”.
he’s more happy than anything when you agree, giving you a soft kiss on your cheek. he couldn’t believe he was going out with a person he actually felt close to, and one he could trust.
— 𝐑𝐎𝐍 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐘
the gryffindor common room was quiet, with nothing but ron, you, and his thoughts.
he noticed you slowly drifting to sleep, noticing how beautiful you looked, and the way you looked perfect to him all the time.
with a heavy sigh he dropped his books and began lifting your legs that were sprawled out across him.
moments later, your eyes fluttered open, realizing something awoke you.
“sorry darling, didn’t mean to wake you jus’ thought you’d wanna sleep alone” he apologized.
“no- ronnie, just stay.”
his face softened, looking at you with warm eyes, he began nuzzling into your neck, slowly adjusting in a comfortable position with you.
the room fell silent for a moment, before ron continued.
“maybe, i was just- i was wondering do you wanna go to hogsmeade with me tomorrow? just.. us?”
“yea, yea great, it’s a date then” you heart fluttered as he smiled sweetly at you.
— 𝐂𝐄𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐂 𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐎𝐑𝐘
the fog was rolling over the filled quidditch pitch, where hufflepuff caught the snitch and the crowd roared with excitement.
you scanned the air for hufflepuff’s seeker, cedric diggory. a crowd of people wearing yellow and black all over swarmed around him as he caught the snitch in the last second, everyone cheering excitedly.
as you shot through the stands searching for him in the crowd, you noticed him, the boy with fluffy hair who was also searching for you in the stands, despite everyone crowding around him.
you rushed toward him, practically diving in his arms in front of the crowd.
“ced, that was really a great game i’m just so proud of you”, you nuzzled into his neck, giving him a sweet kiss on his cheek.
after the crowd cleared he led you back to the stands, where it was the just the two of you in each other’s arms, celebrating your own way.
“y/n?” he muttered.
“yea ced?”
“don’t you think i deserve a prize? you know, for winning?”
“perhaps” you slightly smiled at him as he was grinning at you.
“maybe, a date?” he began batting his flirtatious eyes, knowing exactly what he was doing.
“that’d be great ced, i love it.”
— 𝐃𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐎 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐅𝐎𝐘
dim light surrounded the three broomsticks. draco invited you out but this time it was unexpected- with no friends. no friends to tease you two and no friends to interrupt your conversations which felt like they could go on for hours.
draco and you continued talking about your interests, when he noticed how passionate you were talking about yours, he slowly began to soften his gaze towards you.
“y/n-“ he interrupted.
“um, yeah draco?”
he paused for a moment, flustered and shy, he began.
“you know you’re just um- just really beautiful.” he whispered.
you couldn’t help but giggle a bit, he’d never say this in front of your guy’s friends, why now? what was so special about this moment now? you realized it had been unusual for him to compliment you like this, flushed with red cheeks and his hand near yours.
“well- thanks dray, you know you’re actually quite handsome” you softly smiled before looking away.
thirty minutes had gone by, then an hour, then again another hour and eventually you both stayed until closing hour.
you had been shocked by the night it was, surprised yet warmed by his confession, you couldn’t help but think of what the two of you could be someday.
he walked you out, where the weather was cold and almost freezing, he intertwined his arm with yours, where you wandered all the way back to your common room.
“y’know dray, i actually had a great time tonight” you smiled.
“yeah, me too dray, maybe we could do this again sometime soon?”
“yeah, yeah of course”
you began slowly turning towards the staircase leading towards your dorm, before you could draco softly grabbed your arm.
“y/n- actually i was wondering, would you wanna be my girlfriend, y’know, be official?”
“dray,” you began, “yes, i’d love to be yours”.

BUY ME PRESENTS. harry potter
( master list )
IN WHICH… Y/N L/N’s situationship, Matteo Riddle, isn’t the best boyfriend material and when he forgets to buy her a Christmas present, she finally breaks it off. Luckily, she knows someone who’ll do everything Matteo didn’t.
“Some guys get the girl everybody wants and forget she’s still the girl everybody wants.”
MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS! - 25/12/2023
Warning: Matteo and Y/N kinda swear a lot, oh well
“It's a packed holiday and I got options, babe. If you don't wanna buy me presents. Drink me like a warm glass of milk
Tumblr media
If you're not gonna race here from the North Pole to Beverly Hills. Just to keep my stocking filled. Well, I know somebody who will.”
Christmas and winter was a big deal at Hogwarts. Long strings of tinsel littered the stone hallways and shiny, delicate ornaments were hung up everywhere.
A H/C-haired girl rocked back and forth on her heels as she waited outside the Slytherin common room. She sighed, clicking her tongue. “What’s taking him so long?” She whispered under her breath.
Matteo was usually one to be late, but not on important days. Today was Christmas for goodness sake, Y/N’s favorite holiday.
Finally, the door to the common room slid open and Matteo walked out. His white shirt was messily tucked into his pants and the top few buttons were undone, irking Y/N who always looked perfect.
“Yo, Clarisse said you wanted to talk to me. Shoot.” Matteo shoved his hands into his pockets while Y/N lightly scoffed.
“Did you forget what day it is?” She questioned, arching an eyebrow. If the present in her hand didn’t give it away then she didn’t know what else would.
“Monday?”
“It’s Christmas, Matteo.” Y/N uttered, “Does that jog your memory?”
“Oh, yeah. I just woke up so I’m still dazed.”
Y/N could smell the cigarette smoke in his breath. “Or stoned. Why are you still smoking? You know how I hate it.”
Matteo carelessly shrugged. “It relieves stress, babe. I am quitting. Just give me like, two more months and I’ll be done.”
Y/N bit back a snarky retort. He always said he was quitting but he never actually did. “Well, anyway, I got you a gift. Merry Christmas, Matt.” She held the box up, smiling.
Matteo slowly took it. He opened the lid, his eyebrows raising at what was inside. “You got me… something from Vivienne Westwood?” It was clear that Matteo wasn’t as rich as his Slytherin friends were. With no parents or caretaker, all he could do was leech off people.
“It’s a lighter. You never light the candles in your room, which is… weird because that’s what they’re for. But, I guess you can use it to light cigars too. I also overheard Draco complaining about how he doesn’t have that but wants it. You can fit in with your friends with it.” Y/N shrugged.
“Jeez. This must’ve cost a lot.” Matteo held the lighter in his hand, whistling at how it shined. “Fucking hell.”
“Hey, Matty, we’re gonna open presents. You joining us?” A slim blond girl peeked her head out of the common room, grinning. “I got you a real good present this time.”
“You’re too sweet, Lina. I’ll be in a minute. I think you’ll like your present too.” Matteo chuckled before he glanced back at Y/N. “What are you still doing here?”
“What? No present for me?” Y/N said it in a joking manner to hide the pit she felt in her stomach.
“Why would I get you something?”
Y/N lightly scoffed. “I don’t know, Matteo. Maybe because we’ve been seeing each other for the past year?”
“Hey. We haven’t been seeing each other. I just find you when I want a good fuck. Know your place, Y/N. It’s not like we’re dating.”
Y/N sharply clicked her tongue in annoyance. “Right.” She sarcastically smiled, “What was I thinking? My place is obviously to be at your beck and call. My apologies for the mixup. Have a good day, Matteo.”
Y/N spun around, walking away. She heard Matteo laugh in disbelief and one part of her wished he would run after her and hand her a gift. He didn’t. He strutted back into the Slytherin chamber and back to those insufferable girls.
Y/N sat on the stairs amongst the green, red, and white decorations, staring at the ground. She was clad in a short black and white fur blazer and a skirt. Fleece leggings lined her legs, keeping her warm, and she had her Ravenclaw scarf wrapped around her neck.
She lightly sniffled, playing with a silver bracelet her friend had given to her as an early present. She wasn’t too sure what she was upset about right now.
Perhaps it was because she was lonely in the Ravenclaw common room. Everybody was gone, not even her study partner had stayed behind this year. Or maybe it was because of a certain brown-haired boy who was as heartless and oblivious as always.
It was most likely the latter.
Y/N wanted to feel happy, especially since today was Christmas, a holiday she enjoyed a little too much. But with no friends to laugh with, no family to return to, and not even a boy to sit next to the fire with, she felt sad.
“Are you actually crying?”
Y/N hadn’t even noticed Matteo approach her until it was too late. At least he had thought twice before leaving her alone.
He stood in front of her, fiddling with the multiple rings that adorned his long fingers. “Seriously, Y/N? Just because I didn’t get you a Christmas gift?”
Y/N glared up at him. “Can you try being nice for one second? Who knows, you might like it.” Throughout the whole year, Matteo and Y/N had something going on. They were never in a confirmed relationship but they weren’t merely friends either.
Though, in the past few months, the two couldn’t seem to stop bantering.
“Look, I’ll get you a gift tomorrow. Happy?”
Y/N quietly scoffed as she stood up. “No. You always forget things like these, Matteo. It’s getting annoying.” Y/N turned around to walk up the stairs but she barely took two steps before Matteo grabbed her wrist.
“Where are you going? I thought we were going to spend Christmas together.”
Y/N tauntingly raised an eyebrow at Matteo. “You were giving me the silent treatment up until now. I had to bribe that girl, Clair or whatever her name was, to let me see you.”
“Her name is Clarisse.” Matteo corrected her.
Y/N stared at him, wondering how he thought it was a good time to correct her. “What? I’m trying to make a point here and you’re concerned about her name? Unbelievable. Maybe I should find some people who actually enjoy my presence.”
Matteo sneered. “So, what? You just gonna go back to that Potter boy? You’re leading him on, Y/N. We both know your heart belongs to me.”
“Belonged.” Y/N corrected him, “Past tense. This thing we have between us is done. I’m not going to be a stupid late night call for you anymore.” She forced Matteo to let go of her and walked away, ignoring his shouts that echoed around the corridors.
“I taught you everything! I taught you how to stand up for yourself! I made you popular! I practically created you from nothing!” Matteo angrily exclaimed at the bottom of the steps. “You can’t leave me!”
Y/N glanced over her shoulder at the enraged brunette. She smiled. “Watch me.”
The last thing Y/N heard Matteo say was when he furiously shouted her name, his booming voice showcasing his fiery rage.
Y/N knocked against the Gryffindor painting, sighing. The Fat Lady seemed to notice her mood.
“What happened this time?” She asked. Matteo and Y/N were no secret; they were the talk of the school with Matteo being Voldemort’s son and Y/N’s cousin being a death-eater. A year ago, it was even rumoured she was one herself.
Y/N stared up at the Fat Lady with teary eyes. “Matteo. I… broke it off with me.”
“Oh, honey, I know it may not seem like it now, but it was the right decision.”
Y/N softly smiled. “I know… I know.”
“Are you here to see the Potter boy?”
“Yes. Is he here?” Y/N wasn’t even sure if Harry was at Hogwarts. During second year, he had gone to stay with Ron.
“Of course. And the Weasley boy and the Granger girl. They’re all here.” The Fat Lady swung backwards, smiling, “Go on, dear.”
Y/N stepped into the Gryffindor common room, looking around. “Harry? Hello? Anybody here?” The room was empty. Y/N glanced over at the crackling fire and went to sit beside it, warning her cold hands.
She quietly clicked her tongue, staring at the blazing flames.
“Y/N?” Hermione questioned, walking up behind the H/C-nette, “What’s wrong?” Y/N quickly stood up, embracing her brown-haired friend into a tight hug.
“I did it.” She whispered, “I ended things with Matt- I mean, Riddle.”
“Oh… Are you feeling okay?” Hermione gently sat Y/N down on the couch, rubbing comforting circles into her back. “Do you want anything? Any water or food?”
Y/N stared at her hands. “Is… Harry here?”
“Yeah. I’ll get him.” Hermione stood up and went to fetch the boy. “She and Matteo broke things off.” She whispered in Harry’s ear, which sent a rush of excitement through the brunette. He never did like Matteo after all. He was a playboy to put it simply. Not only that, but for the longest time Harry had liked Y/N.
Matteo didn’t appreciate her but Harry did. He could treat her better than Matteo ever could.
“Hermione told me what happened. Are you okay?” Harry sat down beside Y/N, holding a neatly wrapped present. He heard Y/N heave a sigh.
“I think… I mean, obviously I’m a little sad but it feels good knowing I won’t have to deal with his annoying ass again.” Y/N uttered, eliciting a small amused chuckle out of Harry.
“Yeah… I got you something, by the way.” Harry handed the gift over to Y/N with shaking hands.
“Oh… that’s sweet. You didn’t have to.” She smiled, carefully unwrapping the present.
“I wanted to… you said that was your favorite book so I bought you the limited edition cover one… with a bit more.”
Y/N raised her eyebrows in confusion as Harry. She slowly opened the novel to a page tabbed with a (favorite color) sticker note.
Merry Christmas, Y/N. Thank you for being such a loyal fan throughout my career.
- Your favorite author
Underneath the short message was the writer’s signature as well as a polaroid picture of Harry and the author.
“Oh my gosh… how did you… what…” Y/N was at a loss for words as she turned to Harry and tightly hugged him. “I don’t have a present for you… I’m sorry.”
Harry smiled as Y/N pulled away. “It’s fine. Having you here makes up for it.”
“Are you sure?” Y/N furrowed her brows, “I can buy you something tomorrow. Or I’m sure I have a have a golden snitch lying around here somewhere.” Y/N pulled a snitch from out of her pocket, “Remember this, Harry? You almost choked to death on it in your first game.”
“What the… how did you…” Harry was as flabbergasted as Y/N now. She laughed, handing it over to him.
“Well, after you almost swallowed it, nobody really wanted to play with it anymore. So I asked Wood to get it for me. We spent a good time cleaning it.”
Harry chuckled, staring at the small golden ball in awe. “That’s… amazing. Jeez. Riddle really doesn’t deserve you.”
Y/N’s shoulders visibly shrunk at the mentioning of the brunette’s name.
“Oh…” Harry instantly noticed, “Sorry, too soon?”
Y/N silently shook her head. “No… I’m fine…” She turned her head, beaming at Harry with a smile that made him melt. “You’re right, he didn’t deserve me. Thank you for the book, Harry. It’s wonderful.”
She embraced him once again and Harry could feel his cheeks heat up at the contact. There was a small jingle and as Y/N lifted her head, she couldn’t help but laugh.
Mistletoe floated above the pair, jingling as if to remind the two it was there. Harry gazed over Y/N’s shoulder at Ron, who held his wand in one hand and was giving Harry a thumbs up with the other.
“It’d be rude to defy the rules of Christmas, especially with how much you love it.” Harry uttered.
Y/N laughed again. “I suppose so.”
“You don’t have to kiss me for real. You can kiss me on the cheek or something or”- Harry was cut off when Y/N grabbed the collar of his shirt, pulling him forward and kissing him.
Harry was the complete opposite of Matteo. The Slytherin boy was rough and uncaring while Harry was soft and gentle. The brunette with glasses carefully grasped Y/N’s hands, squeezing them tightly.
“I don’t know if this is too soon, Y/N.” Harry said as he pulled away slightly. “But, I like you. I’ve liked you for ages. Ever since first year. And the only reason I didn’t like Riddle was because I hated how he had managed to attract your attention. I think you’re wonderful and you shouldn’t be stuck with someone like Riddle. You don’t have to give me your answer now… but just consider it.”
Y/N gazed at Harry, her heart doing flips in her chest. This was a feeling she hadn’t felt in a long time. She shyly adverted her eyes. “I… I don’t know what to say Harry. I think I like you too… but I feel like it’s too soon.”
“I don’t mind waiting. I just need you to know that I’m willing to race here from the North Pole to Beverly Hills. Just to keep your stocking filled.”
Y/N giggled. “That’s cute, Harry.” She leaned forward, pressing another chaste kiss to his lips. “Merry Christmas, Harry.”
START OF TERM (BONUS)…
“What the fuck, asshole?!” Matteo’s loud shout caused the Great Hall to fall into silence. They all watched as he stormed towards the Gryffindor table, slamming his hands in front of Harry. “You kissed my girl!” He exclaimed.
Y/N turned her head, staring at Matteo with furrowed eyebrows.
“What’s going on?” Her friend tugged on her sleeve.
“I’m… not sure.” Y/N replied, craning to get a better look.
“What are you talking about, Riddle?” Harry asked, confused.
“You know who the fuck I’m talking about! Y/N fucking L/N! You kissed her!” Matteo was getting angrier by the second.
“Hey, dude, relax.” Lorenzo grabbed Matteo by the shoulders, forcing him out of the Great Hall. The rest of his friend group followed.
Y/N sighed, standing up. “I’m going to talk to Matteo.” She announced.
“What? Are you crazy?” Her friend tried to get Y/N to sit back down again.
“He deserves an explanation… and I also want to make it clear that we’re no longer a thing.” Y/N followed after the Slytherin gang and jogged to walk beside Pansy, who was lagging behind.
“What’s gotten into him?” Y/N questioned Pansy, who seemed to like her the best out of all the girls Matteo hooked up with.
“I don’t know.” Pansy sighed, “He just started acting mental after he found out you and Potter were going out. But, he doesn’t really deserve to be mad when it’s his fault.”
“Matt, dude, what’s gotten into you?” Theodore asked as Matteo silently seethed.
“I fucking hate Potter.” He uttered through gritted teeth. He looked up, spotting Y/N. Instantly, the fire in his eyes disappeared.
“Riddle.” Y/N greeted him calmly, nodding her head in acknowledgment. “There seems to be a misunderstanding.”
“Why did you kiss Potter?” Matteo demanded, clenching his hands into fists.
“Why can’t I? I’m free to do whatever I want. After all, it’s not like we’re dating, right? You said it yourself.”
Matteo angrily exhaled.
“Besides, what are you gonna do? Are you gonna kill me, Matteo?” Y/N taunted. “Like you said last year because you didn’t want to commit to someone? Instead of committing to a girl, you would rather kill her?”
“It was a joke!”
“Jokes are supposed to be funny! Fuck you, Matteo! You piece of shit!”
Matteo, in a surge of rage, grabbed Y/N by the collar. Lorenzo stepped forward to interrupt the situation, but Harry beat him to it.
“Don’t touch her.” Harry glowered at Matteo as he pulled Y/N away from his grasp. “You made your choice. Deal with it because it’s your fault you lost Y/N in the first place.”
Y/N sighed, brushing the wrinkles out of her blouse. “I hope we can talk again under better circumstances, Riddle. Good day.”
Y/N walked off and Harry followed close behind.
“How good did that feel?” He questioned, grinning.
“It felt amazing!” Y/N grinned, “I can’t believe I just sweared at the Matteo Riddle and got away with it.”
“So, what do you say we have some fruitcakes and figgy pudding to celebrate?” Harry slung an arm around Y/N’s shoulder while she playfully scoffed.
“It’s January, Harry.”
“Yeah? So? It’s never too early to celebrate Christmas.”

THAT'S MY GIRLFRIEND?!
Pairings: George Weasley x Fem!reader Summary: you and George found Ron jerking off to you Warning: mention of jerking off. Note: requested by @lillisummers BASED IN OOTP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you sat between Fred and George at dinner as George poured you a cup of juice, he sat down and kissed your head before taking a sip of your cup
"ay, use your own cup" you whispered, trying to be quiet as the room fell silent
he smiled and looked forward, at harry, who's now holding the daily prophet
"he's been attacking dumbledore as well...fudge is using all his power, including his influence of the daily prophet to..smear anyone who claims the dark lord has returned" Sirius stated
your hold George's hand at the mention of the dark lord by instinct.
"why?" Harry asked
"the minister thinks dumbledore is after his job" Remus interjected, sitting in front of Harry
"but that's insane, no one in their right mind could believe that would of..." Harry began, being cut off by Remus
"exactly the point! fudge isn't in his right mind, it's been twisted and warped by fear" Remus nodded "now fear makes people do terrible things, Harry, the last time voldemort gained power, he almost destroyed everything we hold most dear..."
you looked over and George smiled sadly as he gave your hand a squeeze
you leaned into his side and closed your eyes, feeling his warmth
"now he's returned, and i'm afraid the minister will do almost everything to avoid facing that terrifying truth" Remus trailed off
"we think voldemort wants to build up his army again..fourteen years ago we had huge numbers at his command, and not just witches and wizards, but all manner of dark creatures. he's been recruiting heavily and we've been attempting to do the same, but gathering followers isn't the only thing interested in" Sirius explains
mad eye clears his throat, trying to make sirius stop talking, to which he doesn't
"we believe.." Sirius starts again, making Molly stop cutting the vegetables at the end of the table. you opened your eyes, feeling goosebumps form on your arms, having a chilling feeling
"voldemort may be after something" the long haired man said
"sirius" mad eye warned
"something he didn't have last time"
"you mean..like a weapon?" Harry questioned
Sirius opens his mouth to say more but Molly buts it
"no. that's enough, he's just a boy!" she exclaims, coming over to harry, taking the prophet away "say more and you might as well induct him into the oder straight away"
"good! i want to join. if voldemort's raising an army, then i want to fight!" Harry fought, making sirius clap his hands and lean back in his chair
"no, no, you've encouraged this sirius! it's not safe for him!" Molly scolded the Black
"is it just me or are you hungry too?" George whispered, taking your attention away from the adults
you looked at him and smiled "starving, what about you Fred? you hungry?" you looked over at Fred, who snickered
"why did mum bring us down for dinner when it wasn't even ready?" he wondered
"i was thinking the exact same thing" George huffed with a smile, throwing his arm over your shoulder before starting a conversation.
you looked at Fred but noticed Ron, sitting on the other side of him, staring at you.
though he didn't seem to notice you saw, as his eyes were focused a little lower. looking down at your chest.
you wouldn't say you were wearing a revealing shirt, but it did show a bit of cleavage
you raised your eyebrows at the boy as he finally looked up at your face
his eyes went wide as he realised you caught him and looked away, his face beet red
you shook your head and lifted the shirt up ever so slightly
Molly got fed up with Sirius and walked back to the food, ignoring him before angrily chopping the vegetables
"what did the broccoli do to her?" Fred joked quietly, making you and George snicker
George picked up your cup of juice and drank from it again making you sigh before slapping his chest
"drink from your own cup!" you sighed before leaning over taking his cup that has been left untouched but filled with juice and drinking from his cup
"oi don't drink from my cup" he huffed, trying to take it off you
"no, shove off, that's yours now, this is mine" you smile, moving the cup away, leaning away from him
"Fred get the juice off her" George pled, making Fred shake his head
"i'm not getting involved in your juice stealing" Fred leaned away
"ha!" you stuck your tongue out at George
"oh yeah? how about i pour the juice on you" he raised his eyebrow
you gasped and glared at him "you wouldn't!"
he smirked "i would"
he teasingly tipped his cup slightly, making you squeal
"shove off!" you giggled, leaning away, now leaning on Fred
"Fred help me!" you begged
"i'm not getting involved, but please don't get the juice on me" he chuckled
George leaned forward and teasingly tipped it again, messing with you "George, i swear to Merlin if you pour that on me" you squirmed as he wrapped his arm around you
"oh? what would you do?" he grinned
"i'll leave you" you stared at him warningy, but he didn't buy it one bit
"no you won't, you love me" he smiled innocently
"i do, but not right now" you whined
George gasped, faking hurt "wow"
"George, don't pour juice on her" Ron interjected
George leaned away from you and looked at his younger brother, sitting 3 down from him "aw, how sweet Y/n. ronikins here is looking out for you, he's on your side" George pouted at his brother, teasing him
you looked back at ron and found him staring at you again, making you feel weird, his eyes said something that made you feel a little..gross
--
you walked up the stairs hand in hand with George to talk to Harry, who had left the dinner table with Hermione ten minutes ago, probably to find Ron, who had left the dinner table well before them
"i think we just need to warn him s'all" George shrugged
"George, i think he already knows how dangerous it is, he's faced him before" you sighed, feeling sorry for Harry
"i know but he's still a kid" George huffed, walking to the first door to the left, Harry and Ron's room
"so are we" you tilted your head, not understanding his point
"but we're older, wiser" he smiled down at you
"oh you are anything but wise, George" you rolled your eyes, amused
"you're the best girlfriend, aren't you?"
"i like to think so" you grinned happily
George shook his head and opened the door, still holding your hand.
you looked up as George go ready to greet Harry- although, Harry wasn't there at all.
instead of the Potter boy, the youngest Weasley boy was sat on his bed, pants down to the knees as he pumped his cock at a fast pace, moaning as his head was thrown back in pleasure, clearly not noticing your presence
you quickly let go of George's hand and covered your eyes, turning around, trying to leave the room
"o-oh Y/n.." you heard Ron grunt, the sound of squelching getting louder
"what the hell?" George cursed in shock as you walked in to a wall on your way out, trying to get the image of a half naked Ron, jerking off
you heard Ron scream and shuffling of the covers
"what the hell! get out!?" ron yelled
you groaned in pain from headbutting a wall and turned around, reaching one hand for George, eyes still closed
George saw you reaching out and grabbed onto your waist, pulling you close to him
"were you seriously just jerking off to Y/n?" George asked, just as shocked as you were
"n-no" Ron stuttered
you peeked, seeing Ron fully covered by his blankets, his face as red as his hair
"We clearly heard you say her name" George frowned
"Whatever! Just leave!" Ron begged.
"You were wanking off to my girlfriend! That's your future sister in law dude! That's disgusting!" George exclaimed. Still in horror
Ron stayed silent. Feeling beyond embarrassed
"I mean come on. That's my girlfriend!" George scoffed
"I'm sorry!" Ron cried out.
You stood there in George's arms, Feeling a little uncomfortable
"Don't say sorry to me. Say sorry to her!"
Ron looked down. Not wanting to make eye contact with you
"I'm sorry" he sighed
"Now you're going to treat her with respect and if I catch you even looking at her the wrong way. Out come the spiders. Everywhere. I'm talking in your draws. Bed. Trunk, and on your face" George said sternly, making Ron nod vigorously. Still looking down
"Good" George scoffed before letting you go and taking you hand
"C'mon babe" he walks towards the door. Leading you out of the room
Once he shut the door. You looked at him and raised an eyebrow
"Future sister in law? What are you insinuating there, Weasley?" You smirked
"I think you know" he grins
"Oh yeah? It sounds like someone is planning on marrying me" you hugged him
"Oh shush. Now. Do you wanna go bleach your eyes?" He asked
"Oh yes please" you nodded happily

Pairing: Draco Malfoy x slytherin!reader
Summary: you may have accidentally fallen asleep on draco, but in your defense, he was really comfortable to sleep on! now, though, you're forced to face your feelings for him and do something about them

Tumblr media
✰  ✰  ✰
“Blaise, move your big arse away from my comfy spot.”
You had a tiring day of classes, and wanted nothing more than to just relax for the rest of the night. You had gone back to the Slytherin common room to hopefully see some of your friends and just wind down for the night.
Everyone in Slytherin knew there was one special spot on the lounge couch that was reserved for you. You had spent countless hours and dozens of nights in that exact spot either studying or just hanging out with friends. That was your spot, and when you came into the common room, everyone knew to make way for it.
Blaise chuckled and raised his hands in surrender. “Sorry, (Y/N), didn’t realize you’d be back so early.”
“Early?” You exclaimed as you jumped into your spot. “I’ve been busting my butt all morning for these stupid exams. I’m exhausted.”
Pansy groaned from her spot on the floor. “Why don’t you just cut yourself a break once in a while? It’s no fun when my best friend is too busy for, like, anything anymore.”
You frowned. “I’m not too busy for you! I’m here now, aren’t I?” You grabbed a blanket from the stockpile you kept in the common room, and wrapped yourself tight in it.
Pansy rolled her eyes with a smile. “Yeah, yeah. You’re just in time to hear about the latest shit with Emma.”
Pansy had a wild grudge against this poor Hufflepuff girl who didn’t even know that Pansy was beefing with her. It was quite funny, honestly, but you loved Pansy enough to let her moan on about what annoying thing Emma does everyday.
“Oh goody.” Draco came out from the stairwell into the common room with a roll of his eyes. “Another go round of how insufferable you think that Hufflepuff is.”
He glanced over to see you cocooned in your blanket and let out a soft laugh. Draco took his seat next to you and laid his arm over the back of the couch behind you.
Draco intrigued you. Over the last year, the two of you had grown quite close. You considered Draco a good friend, but you would be lying to yourself if you said you didn’t wish it were more. Draco was kind. He was flirtatious and charming, but he was sweet and gentle with you as well. Sometimes you thought Draco may have feelings for you in return, but you were far too scared to confront him about it.
“Well, for starters, we already know how much of a know it all she is, but for some reason she has to showboat just how smart she is. You’d think she was a Ravenclaw what with how obsessed she is with being correct.” Pansy said.
Blaise started to respond to her squawking when Draco shifted closer to you. Blaise’s voice drifted away as you focused your attention to Draco.
“You alright, Dray?” You asked.
He smiled slightly. “Yeah, just trying to get comfortable. Salazar knows Pansy will be talking about this nonsense for hours.”
Draco dropped his arm from the back of the couch to wrap around your shoulder and pull you into him. You could feel your heart beating out of your chest, silently hoping Draco couldn’t feel the intensity of it.
You tried to hide the grin threatening to break out on your lips as you snuggled closer to his chest. This was definitely a first for you guys. Though you and Draco had been quite flirty, he’d never been so open with his physical touch before.
“Then she had the nerve to choose me as her partner. Like I would ever consider her!” Pansy glanced over at you and did a double take when she saw you wrapped up in Draco. Her eyes grew slightly, but she averted them with a clear of her throat as to not make it obvious.
“And then, she had the audacity-“
“She really is quite obsessed with this hufflepuff, huh?” Draco whispered to you, quiet enough for Pansy not to hear.
You looked up at him. His face was so close to yours, your noses were practically touching. You bit your lip as a smile threatened your face.
“Yeah,” you whispered back as you stared into his eyes. “Leave her be though, it keeps her entertained.”
Draco chucked, his minty breath hitting your face due to your close proximity. Your own breath caught in your throat. You hadn’t realized just how close you were to him. You could feel your stomach doing cartwheels as you took in all of his glorious features up close. The glimmer in his eyes, the point of his nose, the curve of his lips.
“I didn’t see you earlier,” Draco shifted the conversation, pulling your gaze from his lips back to his eyes. “What were you doing all day, busy bee?”
You blushed at the nickname. “I was just in the library writing up essays and study guides for our finals.” You let out a yawn, the reminder of your morning making you realize just how exhausted you were.
“Sleepy?” Draco murmured in your ear.
You nodded your head with a mumbled ‘yes’, then rested your head on his shoulder. Draco wrapped his arm tight around your waist, pulling you as close to him as possible. With his other hand, he softly combed his fingers through your hair.
You hummed as you closed your eyes. “You’re comfy,” you sleepily mumbled.
Draco chuckled. His fingers brushed against your cheeks every once in a while as he gently continued combing through your hair.
As you felt yourself falling asleep, you could hear Draco shushing Pansy and Blaise to ensure they didn't wake you.
✰  ✰  ✰
The next morning you wake in your bed, unsure of how you got there. You must have gone up sometime in the night and just not remembered.
With a shrug, you stood up and stretched your arms over your head. Pansy was snoring in the bed next to you. You tiptoed over to her and gently shook her awake.
“Pansy,” you called as you shook her some more. “Come on, babe, time to wake up.”
She just grumbled and swatted your hand from her shoulder. You huffed. Pansy was terrible in the mornings, and for some reason unknown to you, she didn’t believe in alarm clocks so you got stuck waking her up every morning.
A mischievous idea came to mind, and with a smirk you jumped on top of her sleeping body.
“Ahh!” She shouted as you frantically shook her awake.
“It’s wake up time, Pans! We’ve got to get ready for our charms exam this fine, beautiful morning.” You said with a laugh.
Pansy sat up and pushed you off of her so you laid on the bed instead. “Geez,” she grinned as she rubbed at her sleepy eyes. “Who knew a night with Draco would make you so chipper this morning.”
You sat upright in crisscross as your smile fell. “Wait, what?”
You had spent the night with Draco? But that didn’t make sense, you woke up by yourself in your own bed. Plus, you would have remembered if something had happened between the two of you.
Pansy saw your confused expression and chuckled. She grabbed a pillow and gently swatted you in the face with it. “Not like that, you silly. Salazar knows if you slept with Draco you’d have probably died of happiness.”
“Hey!” You whined as a blush started creeping on your cheeks. “I’m not that crazy for him.”
“Oh, please,” Pansy scoffed with a slight smile. “I saw the way you cuddled up with him last night. I almost had a heart attack for you when I saw how close you were! Go (Y/N), go (Y/N)!” She cheered.
You laughed and pushed Pansy away from you. “Shut up!” Your giggles died down as you recalled how you laid with him last night. “Was it really that obvious?”
“Girl please! I thought Draco was gonna scoop you up and run away with you. You should have seen the look on his face when you fell asleep on him. He looked at you like you hung the damn stars in the sky.”
Your heart fluttered. You knew there was something going on with you and Draco, but by the way Pansy was talking, though she had a knack for exaggeration, it sounded like he really did have a thing for you.
“So, what do I do now?” You asked as you slightly rocked back and forth on her bed.
“Are you joking?” Pansy deadpanned at you. “(Y/N/N), you gotta go get your man! I’m tired of watching you two drool like little puppies over each other just for nothing to come out of it.”
Your cheeks flushed. It had been a long time of this back and forth with Draco, and you decided you were ready to see where it got you.
“Okay, I’m gonna tell him next time I see him.” You said.
Pansy cheered. “Yes, finally! Now hurry up, I’ll help you pick a cute outfit that has ‘date me’ written all over it.”
You chuckled as Pansy eagerly jumped up and ran to your closet. She grabbed your shortest skirt, a white button up top, and your Slytherin robes.
“Pans, how is this any different than my usual outfit?” You asked as you stood from the bed and joined her near the closet.
“Ah, my sweet (Y/N), it’s not about the clothes you wear, but how you wear them.” She grinned as she threw the clothes into your hands. “Put them on so I can work my magic.”
You chuckled and stripped out of your pajamas to put on your school outfit. Turning back to Pansy, you said, “Okay, now what?”
She devilishly grinned. Pansy pulled your skirt even higher up your legs to expose just a bit more of the skin there. She unbuttoned the top two buttons of your shirt and fixed your boobs so they popped out a little bit more. She wrapped the robe around your shoulders, but let the front open so you could see everything underneath.
“And no tie,” she added, “that way your shirt can stay that way.”
You chuckled. “You get me into all these crazy shenanigans, you know that right?”
“You know you love me.”
“Yeah,” you added wearily, “but what if it’s too much? I mean, we still have to go to class. It’s not like I'm only going to see Draco.”
“Who cares?” Pansy asked as she started to dress herself in a similar manner. “Let the other boys stare and show Draco that you’re a hottie who other boys can get at if he decides he’s gonna be a wuss today.”
You laughed. Pansy always knew just how to make you feel better. “Alright, let’s get out there, then. Don’t wanna keep all the boys waiting.” You winked at her.
Pansy smirked and wrapped her arm with yours. You walked out together and down to your first class that you shared.
Luckily for you, Draco did not share the same period for charms as you. You thought if Draco was in the class you would have surely failed your final.
You felt pretty confident in your answers, and soon enough class was dismissed.
Your heart beat out of your chest as you said your goodbyes to Pansy and walked to your next class: one you shared with Draco.
Nervously, you picked at your clothes as you walked to potions. On your way there, you couldn’t help but notice all of the random students staring at you. Boys, and girls, sneaked peaks at you as you walked past them.
It felt nice to be noticed, you just hoped Draco would react in a similar way.
Speak of the devil.
There Draco stood in all his glory. He leaned against the wall outside of the potions room looking you up and down. Draco’s lip was trapped between his teeth and he sized you up.
“Bloody hell, (Y/N).” Draco mumbled, just loud enough for you to hear over your rapidly-beating heart.
Draco pushed himself off the wall and started walking towards you, meeting you halfway. He didn’t say anything. All he could do was stare. Draco knew you were gorgeous; he’d be a bloody fool to not have noticed it before, but there was something about the way you looked that made his head spin.
While he shouldn’t say it, Draco had always imagined how you would look after he’d had his way with you. He didn’t ever want to seem like a creep, you were too sweet for that, but that just made him more curious.
In all honesty, he didn’t know you had this in you.
“Uh, Draco?” You asked. Draco had zoned out as he stared at you. You could feel your cheeks getting warm and you took in how awestruck he looked.
“Hm?” He glanced back up into your eyes. “Sorry, sweetheart, you just- you just look incredible. Well, you look gorgeous everyday, just you look gorgeous and sexy if that makes sense.”
You raised an eyebrow almost teasingly. “Oh, so you think I look sexy now, huh?” You don’t know where this newfound confidence came from, but you liked the way Draco’s eyes widened as you crossed your arms over your chest, pushing your boobs out ever so slightly.
Once he recovered, a smirk adorned his handsome face. “I always think you look sexy, now I'm just seeing it in person rather than my dreams. And speaking of dreams,” Draco grinned devilishly, “how did you sleep last night, darling?”
You had almost forgotten about the confusion of the night. “I slept well. I think.” You chuckled as you pushed a piece of hair behind your ear. “I don’t exactly remember getting to bed, though. Care to enlighten me?”
Draco chuckled, “You fell asleep, quite adorably I might add, and I as the gentleman I am had the privilege of carrying you up the stairs and tucking you in for the night.”
You smiled, “how come you didn’t just wake me?”
Draco’s cheeks tinged pink. “I, uh, I just knew how tired you were from your morning and I didn’t want to disturb you. Hope that was okay.” Draco rubbed the back of his neck a little awkwardly.
You grinned and reached up to squeeze his arm. “It was really sweet of you, Draco.”
The two of you stared at each other for a minute, the silence held some tension, it had some longing imbedded into it.
“Draco…”
“Do you want to go out sometime?” Draco cut you off.
You gaped at him. “Like a date?”
Draco smiled, “yeah, exactly a date. I knew I’ve liked you for a little while, (Y/N), but when you cuddled up against me last night, I had this thought that I wanted to do it again. And then again after that too. You held onto like you needed me, and, uh, I really liked that.”
Draco blushed a little at his confession and shuffled his feet around nervously.
You couldn’t help but grin and wrap your arms tight around his neck. Draco was a little taken aback by your quick movement, but surely sunk into your hug and wrapped his arms around your waist.
“I’d love to go out with you, Dray,” you whispered as you were pressed so close to him. “I’ve been hoping you would ask me out for a long time.”
Draco pulled away, but still held his hands on your waist. “Sorry for keeping you waiting so long, darling.”
You giggled and grabbed Draco’s hands to pull him towards the classroom. “Come on, Slughorn doesn’t wait for anyone and I need to do good on this exam.”
Draco chuckled and let you pull him along to class. He couldn’t wait to finally take you out on a date.

It was your sixth year at Hogwarts, today was your first day back after summer. Seated at the Slytherin table with some of your friends, you were in a conversation about what everyone did over the summer.
As you were about to tell them about the trip you took, you hear a throat being cleared from behind you. You turn around as your friends look up and roll there eyes.
“Hello, darling,” Harry grins while plopping himself on the bench with little room next to you.
“Potter,” you nod looking him over.
“How is it you’ve gotten even more beautiful over the summer,” he sighs dreamily. Your friends moved down the table more since they were tired of this routine. You look at them with betrayal as they just smile and shrug.
“What is it you came over here for?” you dont know why you bother asking at this point, you already know whats coming.
“Well, love, I came to ask you if you would go out with me this weekend,” he winks. You glace over his shoulder to see a Hermione sighing and a grinning Ron.
“Sorry, Potter, but I’m going to have to decline your offer,” you said looking back at him. He’s use to you saying no, like how it has been for the past four years. He still trys all the time, he has never done anything with another person either. He is so set on you being for him that he is disgusted at the thought of being with anyone else that isn’t you.
In the summer before second year, he went back home and told his parents about you. He would somehow have a way to bring you up everyday, while he blushing thinking about you. James would always grin at Lily while lifting his eyebrows up and down. She would roll her eyes as James starts to tell him about how to get you to take interest in him.
Taking his dads advice, he would buy you little things at least twice a week, give you compliments every time he saw you, and many more things.
Tumblr media
One time during fourth year, he saw you walking around alone at the Quidditch World Cup. You were in a somewhat long silk green dress that complimented your body perfectly. You had some light makeup and your hair styled back.  He told the Weasleys and Hermione to go on and that he would joining them in a few minutes.
“Hi, sweetheart,” Harry greets you while letting his eyes roam all over you in adoration. You glance over at him, taking in his messy hair and him in general. You would be lying if you were to say that he was not attractive, anyone could see that.
“Potter, how are you?”
“I'm perfect after seeing you, you look stunning” he smiles.
You blushed and looked away trying to hide your light pink cheeks. Although he most definitely saw, he felt like the happiest person ever. This was the first time he was able to make you blush.
“Thank you, I suppose you don’t look bad yourself,” you tell him while the corners of your mouth lift up a bit.
He could have fainted right there, he started to stutter as he wasn’t expecting that.
“I best be off, Potter. My family is waiting for me, I’ll see you soon,” you wave at the blushing boy as you start walking back.
“I- uhm- brilliant!” That day he went to back to the Weasley’s tent as he told them about what happened. They all teased him about his massive crush as was still in a daze. It was truly astonishing how one sentence from you could lead him to act like this.
Tumblr media
Another time was last year, fifth year, when you had gotten detention with Umbridge. You were walking back to the common room with tears stinging your eyes. Umbridge had you stay much longer than you thought because of your “innappropriote behavior”. Apparently, speaking the truth is innappropriote now. As you were turing you almost crashed into someone. You look up to see a worried Harry Potter looking down at you.
“I’m sorry, Potter. Excuse me,” you excuse yourself trying to go around him. Before you can, he gently grabs your waist and turns you to face him again.
“Hold on, darling. Why are you crying, did something happen?”
You couldn’t hold in the pain anymore. You started crying while grabbing onto Harry. His arms quickly wrapped around your waist.
“Shh, love. Tell me whats wrong,” he whispers while using one hand to play with your hair.
“I- um- had detention, with Umbridge,” he looks confused so you take a step back an slowly hold your left arm out.
He was still confused for a second before looking at your hand. He was fuming, he saved his anger for now and decided to comfort you right now. He also felt such sadness that anyone would hurt an angel like you.
“She did this to you?” he asked while sounding like he was about to cry. You nod, with some tears still streaming down your face. Oh how we wished he was able to kiss them away.
“Come on love, I’ll take you to Hermione… she is much better at healing spells than me,” he informs you while gently pulling you towards the Gryffindor common room.
It was pretty late, so the room was empty when you both arrived. Except for Ron and Hermione who were arguing on the couch. They never had anything against you, even though you were a Slytherin, you had never participating in any of the bullying that a lot of other Slytherins did. You even scolded Malfoy when he called Hermione a Mudblood.
Since that day you became somewhat friends with the girl, ignoring the looks of disgust from others in your house.
When the two gryffindors looked up and saw you crying with distraught Harry, their argument quickly ended as they rushed over to you both.
“What happened, y/n? Harry?” Hermione says worridly.
You tell them what happened, and they were just as mad as Harry. They tried to get rid of the writing on your hand but it would not go away. So Hermione decided she would just take the pain away for now. You thanked her with a hug and said goodnight as her and Ron went to their rooms.
You turned to Harry and noticed how close your faces were, you glanced down at at his lips almost leaning in when you heard a bang from the dormitory making you both jump.
“I- uh- should get back. Thank you, Potter,” you smile, quickly giving him a peck on the cheek before rushing out and leaving you both a blushing mess.
Harry was left standing there as he lifted his hand to his red cheeks where your lips were. “What a girl,” he mumbled walking up the stairs.
Tumblr media
Back to present times, Harry got back up from his seat and looked down to you. “I’ll suppose I’ll have to try again tommorow, pretty,” he grins walking back to his seat.
You blush lightly before picking up your things to head to your first class. The professor ended up assigning seats, and to Harrys luck, he was partnered with you for the year.
“It’s meant to be, love,” he says as he leans back into his seat.
“You wish, Potter,” you smile at him.
“Yes, I do wish,” he grins looking at your eyes.
After a long day of beginning of the year speeches, you were finally able to plop onto your bed and sleep. You look over to your friend, Daphne Greengrass, she was one of the only tolerable Slytherins in your opinion.
“It’s adorable how much Potter loves you,” she laughs laying in bed.
“Pfft, don't be ridiculous Daphne. He doesn't love me,” you shake your head.
“He looks at you like you’re the only person in the world,” she giggles.
“Hm”
You decided to drop the conversation, you closed your eyes and fell asleep. Later the next day, you were in the forbidden forest. Around a year ago, you found a place with a pretty flower field that was closed off. You come here often, as far as you know, you’re the only one who knows about it.
You started to weave a flower crown out of a few lovely flowers you picked. You finished it and put it on as you hear meows from behind you. You turn around a squeal as you pick up the kitten and started to play with her (you checked the gender).
You were unaware of Harry who was on his was to you after using the Mauraders Map to find you. He finally found you and his heart melt as he saw you giggling with a meowing kitten that licked your face as you lay in the field.
You heard walking and sat up only to find yourself looking at the boy who has been on your mind a lot recently.
“Oh! Hi, Harry, I didn’t expect you to come here,” you say.
“Harry?” he asks you, trying to suppress a smile.
“Thats your name, is it not?” you laugh.
“I suppose it is. Mind if I sit?” you nod, as you sit together in silence that was unexpectedly comfortable.
Harry couldn’t seem to take his eyes off of you.
“I really do fancy you,” Harry mumbles.
You turn to look at him, “I know… maybe I fancy you a bit as well,” you say, bringing your fingers up to show a pinch.
“Really?” Harry asks leaving closer to you.
“Really,” you whisper as you move so close your lips are brushing. You look into see his eyes and notice how pretty they are.
“You’re perfect,” he whispers against your mouth as he connects his to yours. You both close your eyes as you kiss back and reach your hands into his hair. For the first minute it was sweet, before it started to become more passionate. You bring your leg over his and straddle him without disconnecting your lips. It was pure bliss.
You tug his hair getting a groan from him as his tongue swipes against your bottom lip, asking for permission. You happily comply and open your mouth, letting him explore your mouth, and you his. You gently pull his hair back and kiss down his neck and jaw. You leave many butterfly kisses. In between the kisses he whispers some small compliments, making you smile against his neck. You find his sweet spot and lightly suck on it, making him whimper, and leaving a beautiful hickey.  He says some praises bring heat to your face. He kisses your cheeks, “I love making you blush,” he smiles.
“Oh hush, Potter,” you get off his lap. He groans but you decide its better to stop now before things get more heated.
“Is it alright if I make you a flower crown? I think it would look rather good on you,” you asks with a sheepish smile.
“Of course, love”
He lays his head on your lap as you make the crown, you finish after about four minutes. It was somewhat hard for you to focus when you could feel Harrys gaze on you, but you tried your best to ignore it.
“Andddd… done!” Harry sits up and you place it on his head.
“You look pretty,” you smile pecking his lips. A light pink coats his cheeks. He honesty has never been so happy, he adores you so much that you are 90% of what he talks about. It was such a pain for his friends to have to listen to his rants about your “angelic beauty,” as he puts it.
“Thank you, angel,” he says.
“I think we should head back now, dinner alreader started,” you say standing up, also taking the kitten with you. You both walk hand in hand, you grinning at the kitten asleep in your arms, and both of you forgetting about the flower crowns on your heads. You both keep up a good conversation throught the walk.
You stroll into the great hall with Harry as it goes silent. Then there was a chorus of gasps as they take in your guys hand held together, both of your somewhat messy hair, swollen lips, and the hickey on Harrys neck. You step away from him and you head towards your friends, you could hear most boys wolf whistling, some scowling at Harry. Many girls were also glaring at you out of jealousy.
You look at the staff table and see Dumbledore wink at you, making you raise your eyebrows. You also see Snape hand over some galleons to McGonagall.
“I’m happy for you, Harry,” Hermione smiles, glancing at Ron as she kicks his leg.
“Oh- yeah! Good going, mate,” he smirks as he pats his back.
The next day Harry asked you if you would be his girlfriend. You nodded with a smile and gave him a soft kiss.
