As great and narratively significant as Zutara is. It really wouldn't work organically without a book 4: air. I can see it having 30 episodes.

It can feature Guru Patik as Aang's new sifu and he teaches Aang more abstract parts of airbending, such as flight, cloud gliding, astral projection, and of course, chakra mastery. We can then get flashbacks with Gyatso teaching tattooless Aang basic airbending. Aang can also learn to come to terms with the fact he has taken over a dozen lives, as did Gyatso and whoever else, and find out any other dark secrets the air nomads have hidden from Aang. They can feature Ty Lee's potential relations to the air nomads and hint/tease at the possibility that she can be an airbender herself.

Due to Azula being a descendant of Aang's past life Roku, (and/or due to Ozai being Vaatu in disguise) Aang and Azula become spiritually, connected, linked, and bonded with each other. This bond is created after Aang had let go of Katara and embraced his last chakra twice. This bond unites them as fate, allowing them to understand each other, derive character development from each other, and grow closest to each other despite being on opposite sides of the war. Aang would even be able to know when Azula lies and vice versa. This connection grows stronger over time. It reaches its apex after Azula has opened and mastered her own chakras.

Of course, there can be the revelation of where Ursa is but instead of what was shown in the comics, Ikem and Kiyi do not exist and while Ursa changes her face, it doesn't cost her her memories. She can hide out in the white lotus and meets up with Aunt Wu who's also a member along with Guru Patik.

The season doesn't have to be post-war though. The comet can arrive by the end of Fall instead of Summer. Season 3 ends with only the final agni kai but everything else is moved to the end of season 4. Or, Aang's year can be the 10,000th year and harmonic convergence arrives by the end of fall. The comet can arrive by the end of summer like originally, but Ozai fights the lion turtle instead of Aang, Ozai wins by slaying the beast. Aang loses his past lives, but Raava is able to make up for it by becoming the avatar spirit of darkness/chaos/yin and light/peace/yang simultaneously and will embody/control the sources of any/all bending.

Speaking of Ozai. For the former, Ursa and Iroh can be rewritten as bio-siblings while Ozai replaces Sozin in time/place of birth. Ozai will basically have all of Sozin and Azulon's characteristics/experiences/atrocities/lifespans while keeping all of his own. Or, for the latter, Ozai's secret/true identity is actually Vaatu. It's Vaatu who used the solstices and his time tree prison's cosmic energy to directly orchestrate the 100-year war through Sozin. He also manipulated Iroh's mother, Ilah, into escaping but at the cost of his dark power and status, which he can only get back via harmonic convergence. Ozaatu slays the lion turtle by absorbing its soul, he gains all elements, plus all non-bender skills, in the opposite order to Aang's cycle by absorbing the souls of all original benders, every member of the white lotus, all Kysohi warriors except for Suki and Ty Lee, and Hakoda.

Do you agree with any of this or do you have something completely different in mind for book 4: air?

i agree with you. when i say zutara should have been canon, it's only in a world where book 4 happened and we got the post-war slowburn we deserved. that's why my stance has always been that if we only had three seasons, the show should have ended with no canonical romances or with only a hint of future zutara. zuko and katara at the end of book 3 are in the perfect place to begin falling in love with each other, having formed a solid, beautiful friendship upon which the ideal romance could have been built.

personally, i'm not a fan of the raava/vaatu plotline that lok introduced (but my problems with it are too long to get into here, so i'll leave it to another time) so i wouldn't incorporate it into my ideal book 4. but i like the ideas about aang going back to guru pathik to learn more about airbending and his spirituality, and i'm always here for secret airbender ty lee.

i would prefer book 4 to be set post-war for two reasons: 1) i think most fantasy stories always end with defeating the Big Bad, so it would have been interesting for ATLA to actually explore a world after war, and how peace doesn't instantly solve all problems, and 2) character work is one of ATLA's biggest strength, and i would've enjoyed a season focusing solely on more introspective struggles (aang struggling to come to terms with the consequences of energybending, toph's conflict with her parents, zuko finding his mother, azula's redemption etc etc) than deal with the Great Evil that has to be vanquished.

but ofc everyone is free to visualize book 4 however they want, and i strongly encourage you to write your version of book 4 if you wish to! that's what fanfiction is for, after all, to play with a thousand different versions of what canon could have been.

The Finale was Good, Actually

[Normally I put my intro here, but I jump right into spoilers with this one, so I won't. Spoilers for Loki, especially 2x06, Agent of Asgard, and The God Who Fell to Earth. I also reference Sandra Cisneros's "Eleven," but it's like the first line, so I don't think it spoils anything.]

I’m thinking about the ending to Loki again, and how even though it got kind of mixed reactions from the fandom, because it ends with Loki and Mobius separated, and even though it seems like disregard things that Loki wants (he doesn’t want to be alone, now he’s alone at the end of time; he never wanted a throne, and now he’s got the loneliest throne of all). Ultimately, at the end of the day, I feel like it was such an excellent and cathartic ending for Loki, because of this story arc we’ve seen him on– including the parts of him that this Loki in particular doesn’t get, but just the MCU Loki in general that we’ve seen go through for the last twelve years. And because it mirrors so well with my favorite comic arc, Loki: Agent of Asgard (ignoring most of what happens after Ewing leaves Loki’s story).

He’s no longer the god of lies, he’s no longer trapped in this box that the narrative keeps shoving him into. He’s no longer this person everyone in his life has always told him that he is and that’s all he’ll ever amount to and all he’ll ever be.

There’s this line that he has in The God Who Fell to Earth (which, admittedly, I don’t care too much for, because it takes his God of Stories arc and just sort of drops it without giving him a chance to make something of that title) that he says at the very end that goes, “A lie is a story, yes. But I remember the first lie I ever told. Which means before I was a liar, I was something else.” And so now, in the MCU, we see that he’s something different, something beyond the God of Lies, something more. We see that he can even be something more. He’s broken out of this box that the narrative has always tried to shove him into, this narrative that He Who Remains has written, that the timeline has written, that everyone who has known him has always forced him into. He’s rewritten his story.

Which is what he does in Agent of Asgard, through ego death, through rebranding himself as God of Stories, through evolution, through transformation. And we see him transform as he walks down the bridge/gangway, up those stairs, through that rift. We see him transform into something different, into something more. And because I love Agent of Asgard, because that is my gospel in terms of Loki’s arc, it’s what I’ve wanted for MCU Loki from the beginning, what I’ve been waiting for him to do, to realize about himself: that before he was the God of Lies, he was something more, and he can be something more again. He can be something different, something beyond what the narrative forces him to be. He can contribute to the narrative, rebrand the narrative, guard the narrative so that others can write their own stories, without being written by Kang, without being erased by Kang, without being rewritten by Kang or a variant of Kang.

And he’s alone. And he’s selling himself a lie, because even when he’s not the God of Lies, he’s still what came before. There is a line from Sandra Cisneros’s short story “Eleven,” that goes, “When you’re eleven, you’re also ten, and nine, and eight, and seven, and six, and five, and four, and three, and two, and one.” And all those years are rattling around inside you at all times. And just as all those years that you have ever been are rattling around inside you, all the people that you have ever been leave their mark on you. So that even if you are different, even if you have changed, there is still a piece of who you once were left, like a brand, upon your soul.

So even though he is the God of Stories now, the God of Time, a god for his friends, for everyone, he is also the God of Lies. Because a lie is a story told.

And he is there alone, watching Mobius, at the end of that season. And I think what hurts people so much, is that we know them, and we know what Loki has said explicitly about what he doesn’t want. And we can see from the look on Mobius’s face, that this is clearly what he doesn’t want, either, but it’s kind of just what he has to live with. But what we can also see clear as day, in that final shot of the series, is this look on Loki’s face. It looks like a second away from a smile, and a second away from tears. People have interpreted it differently, and I can see both ways. But what I see, and what I think people are interpreting in a variety of ways themselves, even if it’s not necessarily put into these words, is in this moment (just as Cisneros puts it, even when you are eleven, sometimes you are also three, and so just as you are the god of stories, you are also the god of lies), Loki is telling himself a lie. He’s selling himself a lie, and it is a very good lie, because he is the god of lies and he is used to lying to himself. The lie he tells himself is that this is what he wants, because this is what is right. That every cell in his body is not screaming to be physically in Cincinnati the moment he catches sight of Mobius on the timeline. The lie he is telling is that Mobius is not upset about his being gone; he is just working through finally finding his past, and being given this freedom he’s never had before, and if he is upset or missing Loki, he will get over it. He will get past it, and he will find his place and his purpose just as Loki has, and it will not involve Loki. And that’s okay, and what Loki wanted, and what is meant to happen, and Loki is happy about it.

And it’s a beautiful sentiment, a beautiful sacrifice, and it is reassuring. But it is also a lie. And the lie that he is feeding himself, he might believe. But as he’s telling it to himself, he knows what it is. A lie is a story told. Not a true story, but a story that you imbue with magic in an attempt to make it seem so.

Yes, it is a sad ending, because Loki wants to be with his friends. And his friends– at least Mobius, but I would argue that if asked, Verity/B-15, OB, Casey, and perhaps even Sylvie would agree, too– his friends want to be with Loki. But they can’t be right now, for the good of everything. And that is very sad, that sometimes for the good of oneself, one’s family, one’s community, and, in the case of superhero media, for the good of the universe and time, sometimes friends cannot be together. Lovers cannot be together. Missed opportunities abound. Words are left unsaid. The words that are said have to bear the weight of what there is not time to say.

But the story that Loki is rewriting here ends hopefully. Because Loki has all of this rattling inside of him. He is still the god of lies, but he has also been newly christened the god of stories. But he was also, before this, before his lies became painful, became lies, when they were merely amusements, he was also the god of mischief. And he is a sorcerer, with a talent surpassing those who trained him. Perhaps not surpassing his mother’s, but coming damn close, if it doesn’t. He (supposedly) tricked everyone but Heimdall for four years that he was his father!

Magic, and mischief. And so, with all of these parts of himself, and his stubbornness to pull off or nearly pull off impossible feats time and again (for heaven’s sake, it took an entire newly-formed team of six humans to stop the god of mischief on earth, after he’d been tortured for a year), if he gets it into his mind that he’s tired of sitting around and decides he misses Mobius enough to go find him, he’s going to figure out a way to go find him without bringing destruction upon the multiverse. He will find a way, I’m confident of it. And also Mobius is just as fucking stubborn as he is.

So it ends perhaps not in a way that we wanted it to, but it ends hopefully, and it ends triumphantly. They won. They beat Kang at his own fucking game. He wanted Loki to stop Sylvie from killing him, so he can go back and do whatever the fuck he was doing or, if he really did want Loki to take over for him, so he can go fuck up some other shit, while someone else is still watching the Sacred Timeline. So that essentially he’s still ruling the world, just continuing to outsource it.

But Loki, upon the brilliant suggestion of Sylvie, says fuck that idea. And breaks it. He beats Kang, because Kang is so fucking power-hungry, so fucking dictatorial, so fucking entrenched in his ways, that he doesn’t believe it’s possible for anybody to change, least of all Loki. He’s predictable, Kang made him that way. But Loki broke out of that narrative. Loki saw how the chips were laid, and upon Sylvie’s suggestion (I still want to credit Sylvie for this idea), just breaks the mold.

The ending was sad, for a multitude of reasons. But what I care about, is if they did right by Loki, because so often, they do not do right by Loki. And I am perfectly open to the argument that they did not do right by Loki because of I don’t want to be alone and I don’t want a throne and then he ended up alone and on a throne. I get it. I understand if your argument is that they did not do right by Loki because of that. That makes sense. But I feel like, character developmentally, with what my boi deserves (and do not twist my words, I’m not saying he deserves to be alone or to be king of nothing, I’m not saying that), ultimately at this point in the game, they finally fucking gave him. He deserves to have people (plural) who love and care for him, who are probably going to try to find him. As far as we know, Thor thought he was dead for that year, and so did not go looking for him while he was being tortured by Thanos. That’s nothing against Thor, I’m not saying Thor loves Loki any less than Mobius loves Loki. Like if you think somebody’s dead, you’re not gonna go looking for them. And if they turn up a year later after being tortured that fucking sucks, and I’m sure you’d feel terrible about that, but that’s not your fault.

But Loki’s friends know that he’s giving them a chance. And Mobius (as aforementioned) is just as stubborn as Loki is, and I don’t think Mobius is gonna stand for him being trapped in that tree all by himself. We might not see it, depending on what Marvel has planned, so this might not be canon, but I do think characteristically that it makes sense for Mobius to be like I’m gonna go find this fucker. And at least get some closure, at best be like either Let me stay with you or Let me figure out a way to get you out of here, for at least a little while.

So, I think Loki has people who care about him, who love him, plural. I’m not saying Thor doesn’t care about him or love him, I’m just saying, it’s Frigga and Thor, and Frigga’s dead, so it’s Thor. And that was it. (I’m talking MCU. I’m not erasing Verity (although I am including B-15 in this so she’s here), I’m not erasing Sigyn.) And those people are willing to go find him, even though it seems like technically speaking he’s supposed to stay there. I don’t think Mobius is gonna stand for that. And he’s finally said fuck all of you who’ve tried to put me in a box. I’m more than what you insist I am. I’m better than what you insist I am. And he has more compassion for himself. He has more compassion for certain other people, not everybody, but certain other people. I think he has more compassion for his brother, which he was starting to have in the main timeline post-Ragnarok, but not at this moment when he was in the main timeline. At this point in the story, I think part of him was very resentful of Thor for not coming to find him, but being unable to articulate that without admitting that he had been tortured, and also not really able to articulate in general that he had been tortured. And dealing with the aftermath of being tortured. He’s going through it in the main timeline during this time. But I think he’s getting some compassion for Thor now, through getting a different perspective than he had last time.

He’s seen a grander scale of his own potential, both in the form of Sylvie and then in the form of himself, and what he’s capable of himself. Not what a variant is capable of, from going through a different life than him. What he can do.

And he’s got a new title, what fits best for him in this moment. And they better use it, better than they did in the comics. I feel like they put this in, this new moniker, as if it’s gonna be the end of his arc, but it’s comics, it’s not the end of his arc. And then they’re not sure what to do with it? So that by the time The God Who Fell to Earth comes around, they decide to scrap it altogether without doing anything with it. (And then they give him another new title? As if they expect that one to go any better?) And yeah, God of Stories is a very open concept, but that should give way to so much creativity. And it doesn’t? For some reason? So I hope they do a little bit more with it in the MCU. Historically they’ve kind of really disliked Loki in the MCU– and the comics too, but mostly in the MCU– (I actually have a (conspiracy, sort of) theory on this that I need to do a bit more research on before I’m comfortable disclosing it, as it’s rather crackpot sounding) so I’m hoping they’ll do something with it. I’m hoping we’ll see him again. Outside of the tree, where he can do some things. And also he’s got new powers now! And he got those in like the eleventh hour of the last two episodes. So I’m like, does he have more powers that we didn't get to see? Maybe powers he doesn’t know about yet? That would be pretty cool. Does he have that orb, like he does in AoA? What can he do with that? Is that how we beat the Kang Dynasty or Secret Wars? Maybe.

In conclusion: I liked the ending, (somewhat) unpopular opinion. I felt like it gave Loki his due. I feel vindicated by the ending. I hope that’s not the end of him for the MCU entirely. But other unpopular opinion? I hope we don’t get a season 3. (I think it’s been pretty much confirmed that we aren’t at this point, but sometimes they change their minds. I mean, I heard whisperings that Supernatural is coming back and it’s been three years since that was supposed to have ended. I’m so tired.) That was such a good series finale, I hope we don’t get anything after that for this show. He can be in other movies; hell, he can have his own standalone movie, I’d love that. But I feel like this show is over. I don’t want them to bring it back, because it would just sour this beautiful, perfect ending.

hey its me lons again. give me your most autistic take. what's the opinion you've had (any fandom) for so long as the result of your deep, soul-crushing obsession of canon. the comsic truth of the universe

oh boy i’ve. i’ve got quite a few. let’s get these over with

Bubba Sawyer AKA Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre is NOT a villain. He grew up away from civilization and only ever interacted with his family, and therefore only knows what they taught him. he is also clearly disabled to some capacity and literally does not grasp the weight of his actions because he’s only ever done what his family has told him to. He has had no other significant human interaction besides his family. he is an antagonist, an opposing force, yes— but NOT a villain

The Batman fandom gets really pissy when characters are confirmed as canonically queer in any iteration, usually the Riddler and/or The Joker. This makes me angry for a few reasons. One, literally who gives a fuck, just because you don’t like a single interpretation of a character doesn’t mean all other media of them doesn’t exist, just go watch that. Two, it’s literally denying the entire history of these villains. “But isn’t making a flamboyant man gay a stereotype?” Yes. Exactly. Because they did that on purpose. Whether conscious or not, DC has been queer coding their villains since the beginning. They were literally made to be theatrical, flamboyant gay stereotypes to demonize gay people. There’s a reason all the male rogues are so out there and colorful and batman is stoic and dark. we deserve to reclaim them. Three, it’s been confirmed like a million times that the Joker is in love with Batman in his own special messed up why, and if you deny it you’re literally just lying go read a comic (this can also be applied to Venom + Eddie…Venom literally sucks eddie’s dick, gets him pregnant, tongue kisses him, and eddie refers to their relationship as a love story. they’re dating get over it).

The reason people hate 2022/Dano Riddler is because fandoms hate any significant change and because they can’t read between the likes enough to actually see the nuance and understand the character. Superhero fans need every aspect of a character fucking spoon fed to them and it’s so frustrating.

Nina The Killer’s rewrite was a downgrade, sorry. she’s just a copy of Jane now. which i was confused as to why she was rewritten anyways was because i always thought that the point of her story was to be satirical? Like…the whole joke was that she wasn’t actually talking to Jeff, just an impersonator messing with her not realizing the damage they were doing, and the moral was about the dangers of extreme idolization. but idk maybe that’s just me

Tim punching Jay in the parking lot in MH was totally justified. Deserved, even. Imagine if someone recorded you and posted it on the internet without your consent, and on top of that had been basically stalking you and totally lying to you. Ultrakill | The Kamen Rider Crossover Nobody Asked For <- this one :3

ohhh hhough this one . skeleton in my closet that rattles at me menacingly from time to time. there is a high likelihood this one will either never see written completion in a way I see fit, or I will try to draw something for it, because this is one of those ideas that is just. lurking in the back of my brain always but it's never a full beginning-middle-end plot. I think it deserves to be Seen, Eventually

very very little is written in the actual doc and what is written is probably going to be deleted and rewritten. need to find a balance between worldbuilding and actual story because it's from Gabriel's POV and that has weird holier-than-thou bureaucracy. BUT the jist is:

the Council serves as a very powerful organization that carefully picks and chooses who can be a Kamen Rider. it is treated as a highly esteemed position, and Gabriel is expected to never leave his Rider form (though it can exhaust him because they're. not convenient in daily life,) and always be ready to get sent out to deal with crime or patrolling. his identity is stripped from him, and he is not considered a person beyond a Kamen Rider, a vigilante-ish figure who does what he's told without question, a weapon.

V1 and V2 are artificial Kamen Riders built to surpass the power of the Council. I haven't fully settled on who made them, likely human scientists (could add a healthy flavor of robot-war-is-threatening-to-happen in this setting here). V1 is an escapee that was meant to be scrapped because it could not be controlled, and springs around causing mayhem. V2 was either released to destroy V1, or escaped also, although for budding-self-awareness reasons and not kill-all-humans reasons. V2 here is a lot pettier than canon V2 because its predecessor is pretty openly running around and it has self-esteem issues because instead of being too murderous, it's not murderous enough.

Gabriel is sent to destroy the weird threat skittering around, attacking not just humans and Council staff ("angels" are just,, lower-leveled Riders I suppose) but machines that it SHOULD share a common goal with, but it does not care who gets in the way of its bullets. He doesn't realize V1 is a machine and has a crisis about that, and he didn't know V2 existed until it shot in from nowhere to attack V1. overall Gabriel is having a terrible time questioning what it means to be a Kamen Rider etc etc. he has his little gay awakening when V1 beats him in a fight

Mirage is canon. I don't know HOW Mirage would be canon. maybe a hologram or an evil V1 that just. ended up an existential young woman. but she is canon. vital information

I feel like I need to do more tinkering with the setting, what role the prime souls and the ferryman might play, and make a nice and tidy checklist for plotpoints . the kamen rider formula was not built for being written out. this has been in my brain for a year so someday it will be real or else I think I will be cursed

Inconsistent characterisation has been a part of his character since they started making superheroes Dark and Gritty™️ way back when. They forget that he just wants to save people :,). I guess the constant changeover of writers also has something to do with it.

Where do I even start he's so edgy nowadays he's turned into like the straight male power fantasy they all forget about the kindness at the core of his character

Usually he's a paragon of justice! Sometimes authors make him hit his kids! Sometimes authors stop him from having emotions!

Batman’s ethos is largely that he genuinely cares about people, believes life is sacred, & hates guns. He’s jaded & gloomy but still he doesn’t kill because he thinks taking a life is abhorrent & he wants people to have the chance to be their best self. Except sometimes he’s depicted as a murderer. Sometimes he will then have guns. He’s either a great father, an okay father, or an abusive monster. He is best friends with Superman & Diana. Except sometimes they all want to murder each other. Alpha chads have him as a ‘sigma male, alpha male’ model. Folks who grew up watching the Batman animated show in the 90s often see him as a father figure. He’s autistic or autistic coded one moment then smooth & totally in control the next. In one rendition he is a bleeding heart who will do anything to protect a child but turn around & then he is making his new kidnapped child live off bats. He has panic attacks in comics constantly but will also then be seen as this smooth gigachad the next. He’s been around so long & has been such a cultural touch stone & written & rewritten in so many different depictions it’s incredibly hard to even give his original origins. In one depiction he went to a boarding school run by a man who sold his soul to satan. In another he had a childhood friend who was kidnapped & came back to murder his girlfriend. In one depiction he was haunted by a ghost of a girl. In others he has an evil older brother. Alfred is abusive in some & loving in the next. Sometimes his dad was abusive others he was not. Literally every possible combination has been thrown around.

My problem with Lore Olympus (spoilers 235)

So, author seriously convinces me that the first time of same Eros and Psyche was shown on the edge of beauty and sensuality, and the first time of the main fucking characters wasn't any shown at all?

I have re-read the comic several times from the very beginning, and within the first 30-40 chapters what we had? Hades literally after the first day of the familiarity joked about fast bang in his kitchen, Persephone received a terrible intimate experience in the first arcs, the same Eros and Psyche storyline, Aphrodite with a huge hint of quick sex with Zeus, the first chapter literally opens with Minthe wearing the lingeries only. The beginning of the story yells that this could become an excellent title from the category of Stjepan Sejic's comics (except not with such a graphic ero scenes), but Rachel gone to a censorship webtoon and this began to break everything. Author tried to get everything together through the disclosure of not only body, but also soul attachment, and it even worked perfectly... until the trial arc ended, and with it our characters also have ended. I understand the author is trying to show us same Persephone’s final growing up, but 10-year-old timeskip destroyed the entire arc of growing up. If in the first two seasons I saw how Persephone learned to accept and recognize her feelings in front of herself and others, including her over-over-overprotective mother (and this ends with a heartbreaking scene, where Persephone doesn't have time to tell only Hades she loves him), then her sudden transformation in the end into such a 30-year-old horny one looks like a literal character substitution.

And this replaced Persephone, the main character, is enough for me to subconsciously reject any plot twists - as tries to show more of the plot, or closing any plot holes either.

Guys, I'm not LO hater at all and I love and respect the story. But still, I vote for the fact that the entire third season is a bad draft that should be deleted and rewritten.

We joke about Hawks' Junji Ito Inspo, but he really had his mind's eye look inside AFO's soul and see him vore a woman with slenderman hands. Some things can be so intimate between you and a villain, you've got sharing traumatic pasts by a fireplace, then there's whatever these two have going on. He's even thinking deeply about AFO and comes to the conclusion. "He has no hatred in his heart." Why are you thinking about his heart, boi. And thinking about AFO's smile, that's pretty Ujiko of you- what is the reason Hori??? Jokes aside, he was pretty spot on and I'm really interested in seeing where Hori takes that plot bit. Hawks is too good at reading AFO based on minimal info, and AFO gives him cheesy grins and sweetly sings his name and they keep bantering back and forth with all the sprinkled compliments and feral bloodied grins and AFO's desire to dominate this blonde birdie twink because he's a hero and he's a villain, living out a rewritten fantasy of his comic book with the Demon Lord's relationship with his destiny entwined hero and their intricate dance....you think if I asked, AFO would drop his AO3 account???

so I had to reread things because i'm a little confused - while Hawks has been psychoanalyzing AFO since that talk in Jeanist's car, I didn't think he could see that whole AFO soul devours lady thing.

To me it more shows he could tell something was wrong, and the next page, AFO kind of attacks in that like explody-spiky tendrils way? But yeah this moment was underrated.

This ask inspired me to make an AFO Hawks collage which I shall post shortly, but yeah, there's a fascinating amount of like...interactions between them, though more so on Hawks's end.

I feel like if AFO wasn't so focused on going to help Tomurafo, he'd be able to pick up on Hawks being "discerning" sooner, and have more fun with this. Alas... Horikoshi has to move the plot along and so we really need to find AFO's ao3 to see if the cleverest blonde twink he's stumbled upon in a while has left any impressions.

I pictured a reimagining/crossover mashup between the GOW franchise and Jeff Smith's Bone comic franchise.

I've imagined the scrapped concept of Kratos having blue tattoos and he has all of Fone Bone's personality traits such as being dependable, resourceful, polite, friendly and even forgiving. But he still has his years of combat/battle/killing experiences and hides a more jaded and hardened side of him as a result. He'll also has no qualms with pulling off brutal murders like original but they are done under more heroic circumstances. He did have red tattoos once but they turned blue while his skinned also became white. This happened after Kratos found the golden fleece inside Pandora's box, with pandora's soul trapped inside the fleece and her soul is imbued by the flame of Olympus/power of hope. Kratos is also not a demigod, he's a full on mortal and he transcends all by himself.

Thorn Harvistar is now Lysandra Harvistar but the name Thorn can her nickname/undercover name. Her story is pretty much the same but the Valley setting in the Bone series is reimagined as Greece itself. The stories of the first 9 Bone books and the stories of the entire greek saga are all presented, just rewritten a bit so that they are told coherently in one long arc.

The "lord of the locusts" character, the "evils" inside pandora's box, the chaos entity, and Thanatos, the god of death, are all rolled into one, and Thanatos is the main antagonist of the greek saga.

By the time of Thanatos' death after the entire Greco-Roman Pantheon was destroyed, the world was actually saved, Pandora's soul is released and hope is spread throughout Greece. But Pandora informs him that Kratos's release of the "evils" have infected and corrupted all other Pantheons in the world and the world will soon revert into chaos, so for the world to be saved, all pantheons and belief systems need to be destroyed and Kratos is the only one who can do it.

Pandora gives him a very tough choice, spend the quality time with his loved ones before the apocalypse arrives, or he leaves everything behind to destroy all belief systems in order to save the world. This choice is made even tougher when another decision is forced on him between going home to his two brothers or staying beside Thorn, wed her, and rule with her. He ultimately chooses the mission. Fortunately, at one point, Kratos and Lysandra conceive a child, an heir, which is later reveled to be a daughter and was named Calliope. Kratos's family still lives but it's unclear if he'd ever see them again.

DOMINION ANNOUNCEMENT!

When I started my socials for my WIP webcomic Dominion last year, my goal was to have the first three chapters ready for release by this time, and to formally launch the series before December.

Spoiler Alert: It's not ready yet.

REWRITES THY NAME IS MEMOH

After I ran the series preview in the Webtoon Call to Action Contest, I noticed I was getting a lot of notes where readers were confused, probably more so than starting in Chapter 3 warranted. After doing some soul searching, for the past two months I've revisited my script and made some major changes - streamlining, adding clarity, actually writing a detailed outline for the entire series to make sure all the story beats were hitting where they should. Darlings have been killed - whole chapters, rewritten.

Finally, I have emerged from the writing cocoon with a story that is (in my mind) far stronger. In the process though, I'm having to nerf 30 panels I had already drawn and colored because the whole start of the series has been revised/rewritten. RIP.

REVISITING FORMAT

I've also had time to think critically about the format for the series. Given that Webtoon is withdrawing support for Canvas creators, I was torn on if scroll format is still the only format I want to design for. After much deliberation, I've decided I will draw page format first, then retrofit each episode for scroll reading. This will save me time later should I choose to do print releases, and it makes me able to cross post the series to more sites.

TO LIGHT NOVEL OR NOT TO LIGHT NOVEL

Since I have the whole series spec'd out at this point, I am also deliberating on releasing a light novel version. The tentative plan for this would be to release a novelization of the first half of season one as the comic launches, release the second half novelization after the midseason finale, and so on.

It would be behind a pay gate, but it would be a way for people to have a fast pass without sacrificing my health/sanity, while making sure they aren't so far ahead of the comic readers that the other followers get too many spoilers.

UPDATE SCHEDULE CONFIRMED

Since I have a full scope of the series now, I've also been able to decide on a schedule that I can keep up with (I do have to balance a full time job and have no assistants).

Each chapter will be ~15 pages (~60 panels) and will be released monthly. For the series launch, I will release the first three chapters at once.

SO WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

Now that rewrites are concluded, I'm now full steam ahead with getting pages produced. I will also be writing a draft of the light novel over the holidays and will have more clarity on if that project will proceed in the new year. I'm also trying to get my social media strategy lined up in advance, with the bulk of that work taking place over the holiday period.

Given that the first three chapters will take about 3 months on their own, (plus the extra set up chores), Dominion is likely looking at a April/May release. Which is fall in the southern hemisphere. So that counts as still making deadline, right? (< _<;)

Yes, we had drawings that we decided not to publish openly but to keep between ourselves, out of respect for our mutual friend who does not like this ship. ....If to think so, it’s kinda selfish, depriving people of such drawings by declaring and reminding under each similar art how much you don’t like it and putting pressure telling about being traumatized by this ship.. I no longer intend to hide it just for the sake of one person who, in the end, never was there for me after all their words and promises. If you happen to see this.. that's your problem, sorry.

This is another art related to Dark or Evil Soul, and believe me, this is the peak of what these two are capable of in relation to each other in terms of vulgarity. Probably because I can't imagine anything more dirty between them.. and I don't want to.

It was someone's bad joke (mine. Me and Corrupt didn’t get along very well back then, and I could afford such a prank). I'm still a little ashamed of it. Soul too, by the way. He freed him pretty quickly haha. What about Corrupt? He was quiet for a long time after that..

This is something very unfinished, but it's a whole story. WIP, if you call it.. Based on the fact that BF dislikes Corrupt very much, due to the fact that he himself was with Soul before, and due to the fact that he completely distrusts Corrupt, sees him only as a monster, and constantly expects some kind of meanness from him, saying that Corrupt just got in his way into Soul's trust and manipulates his mind. I still want to finish this even though quite a long time has passed. This is one of the things I don't want to leave unfinished, but there's a lot of work there. One way or another, as in the case of the “comics” about the Monster, this will be a separate post along with all the text that comes with it. In the worst case, it will only be text rewritten into a more detailed fanfic.

I think you have already noticed that I figure in moments like this.. don’t worry, Corurpt took revenge on me for such antics when he had such an opportunity. Well, BF and Corrupt more or less got along by that time too. It was a punishment, and that’s what we were roleplayed, I don’t remember how it started, it’s just that someone like this kind of thing. I wonder what it feels like to be forcefully licked....

*sigh* ...This was originally going to be worn by Soul, but Corrupt ended up being the victim instead. Soul himself did not mind participating in this. Strange affair.. This is based on what my friend originally came up with, portraying it as if it were my idea (as if!). I'm not usually into putting guys in dresses, but I have nothing against it, I just don't understand it a little. It wasn't such a problem for me to drew it, but Corrupt hates this memory very much..

I ended it when we stopped communicating. He's still following this board, but he probably didn't even notice it. Or pretended that I no longer existed, I don’t know.. Another shot from our roleplay. They fbeing forced to kiss due to the fact that both were under the control of voodoo dolls. Did someone (it was one of “our” corrupted OC, who at that time lived with them) just decide to ship them too aggressively? Funny, but weird. Going through these drawings, I experience what you people call “cringe,” but not to a strong enough degree. Just.. back then I didn’t think about what it looked like, because I just wanted to please someone I considered my good friend. Now.. this isn't even something I would normally draw. Well.. that's all for now. Not like anyone was waiting this shit.
