“Are you serious?!” Annabeth yelled, a few of your other siblings backing her up.
You however were standing infront of the full length mirror inside your cabin fixing your outfit which was a pair of bellebottoms and a camp sweater. “Look Annie i get your our counselor and your the smartest out of us all but your not the smartest when it comes to relationships”
“And now she’s starting to sound like an Aphrodite kid” Malcom your brother rolled his eyes before returning to his book. You shot him a hateful look. “All right fine Your right I don’t get relationships like you but I do know clarisse”
“Really?” You sarcastically spoke just wanting the argument to be over. Grabbing some hoops you were deciding between the two different pairs. “Yeah, Clarisse is a hateful arrogant and rude person. She makes fun of our cabin with her siblings and didn’t she use to make fun of you to”
Deciding on the star shape hoop you put the earring in. “Fine! Fine ok I get it but I promise you clarisse is not like that ok she’s sweet, she loves me Annie why don’t you get that” you sighed facing your sister.
The shorter girl crossed her arms, leaning against a desk inside the studious cabin. “Because she’s a bitch”
“Language!”
“I’m 12 why are you giving me shit for cussing you cuss”
“Because I’m 16 you’ve still got two years before you morally can curse now stop.. damn about to make me get Luke” you sighed shaking your head. Facing back to the mirror you analyzed your look.
Annabeth rolled her eyes looking away for some time before facing you once again. “I still don’t trust you being alone with her..”
After finally having enough you turned towards the wiser girl. “Know what fine you can spy on us during our date today, then you’ll see she’s not such a terrible person and you’ll finally get off my ass… deal” you crossed your arms looking down at annabeth.
Your younger sister looked around for a moment feeling somewhat threatened by you before nodding in defeat. “Great” you sighed stepping back, grabbing a small drawstring bag and a book on the stars, you threw on your shoes before leaving.
——
You were sitting in a clearing in the woods, a blanket set out with some strawberries and a pack of Dr Pepper you bought from the Hermes cabin. Annabeth was positioned behind a tree with her cap of invisibility on.
Eventually clarisse showed up. “Five minutes late” you jokingly chastised her.
“Shut up I’m on time” she scoffed sitting down beside you on the blanket. Pulling you into her some she kissed you softly. Her hands finding themselves on your waist
Bringing yourself back you leaned over grabbing a soda, handing it over to the curly haired girl. “Mmhm so how was running around like a fool for the entire morning?”
Clarisse rolled her eyes taking the drink In a harsh joking manner. “First of all its called training and secondly it was actually alot of fun, how was staying up all night to just watch some stupid dots in the sky”
Scrunching your nose at the girl you gave her a sarcastic look. “Yeah you think your so funny huh”
“Yeah I do”
“Mmhm” you knew clarisse was looking at your lips— she wasn’t subtle about it. Tired of her just imagining it you leaned in kissing her again. The playful banter between you two faded away while clarisse deepened the kiss
As much as you wanted to makeout with your girlfriend you weren’t doing it infront of your sister. Pulling back you placed a hand on clarisses arm while darting your eyes to some trees around you with a smile.
The girl furrowed her eyebrows but made a signal to her head almost mimicking a hat. Nodding you knew clarisse understood annabeth was spying on you two.
“Whatever this is stupid” clarisse gave you a teasing look. “What being on a date with your girlfriend? Yeah it’s so stupid” you responded in the same tone.
Clarisse rolled her eyes. “You know that’s not. What I meant” shaking her head you watched as clarisse reached over to her spear grabbing a plastic bag.
Handing it over to you you looked inside. “No way clarisse did you”
“Yeah I did. Your not gonna embarrass me about it if I own up to it” she continued to mess with you. Opening the bag you smiled as your girlfriend made you chocolate chip cookies with the nymphs in the kitchen. “Your the sweetest you know” you becoming flustered while you looked at the treats.
She just rolled her eyes with a smile, laying down clarisse moved around to lay her head in your lap. “Woah careful clarisse you might admit you actually like me a boring Athena kid remember”
“Mmhm Same can be said about you what was that about me being a bitchy ares kid?” She bit back. Flicking her forehead lightly just to get back at her.
You smiled while playing with one of the girls curls. You loved clarisse, wanting to proudly say it but worried you’d scare the girl off so for now you’d settle on just this.. cute dates with her, sneaking into her cabin to spend the night with her and just enjoying the silence with her.
After some time you knew annabeth had left after all she had gotten all the proof she needed. Clarisse knew it to.
“I love you” it finally left your lips. You noticed clarisses body tense making you regret the decision immediately. Clarisse however grabbed your hand kissing your knuckles. “I guess I love you to”
“Shut up”
“Why You Said you loved me”
——
Annabeth - Fine she’s not a bitch
Y/n - ANNABETH!
Clarisse - *having a Stare off with annabeth*
Clarisse - do we have a Problem
Y/n - dude..

Luke Castellan x Reader
Tumblr media
Masterlist - Join My Taglist!
Written for my Year of Olympians and part of a bigger challenge being run by @yearofcreation2023! It features a ton of other awesome creators and runs all year, so go check it out!
Fandom: Percy Jackson
Prompt: Hermes; Travel, boarders, games
Summary: The summer before Percy Jackson came to Camp Half Blood, Luke Castellan's SO convinced him to leave camp with them for a new life.
Word Count: 1,175
Category: Fluff
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
"I cannot believe you did that to me," I said, shaking my head in disgust with my boyfriend, Luke Castellan. He didn't even have the decency to look ashamed.
"I'm sorry. But it was the best way for me to win."
"Cheating isn't winning."
"Technically, choosing an object outside of the car that we left in the dust ten miles ago isn't cheating."
"You sound like Malcom," I huffed, crossing my arms and leaning back in my seat. Luke just chuckled, shooting me a grin from the driver's seat as we cruised along the highway. Luke and I had been in the car for almost three hours now, on the sixth day of our cross-country road trip from camp. For the first time in a very long time, we were leaving the place we'd called home and had never really been allowed to leave.
I'd gotten to Camp Half-Blood the year after Luke, although we were the same age, and with one exception that hadn't gone well, neither of us had left the camp's boarders since. Until now.
This past year, Luke and I had decided it was time for us to leave, to go do something with our lives now that we were both technically adults. Sitting day after day, month after month, within the boarders of Camp Half Blood wasn't sustainable for the rest of our lives, and I'd noticed it having a bad effect on Luke especially. So, we'd spent the last year preparing for and submitting applications to college, and by some miracle we'd both gotten into the same place. Annabeth, although she would only be starting sixth grade in the coming weeks, had helped us a lot, and about six days ago Luke and I had officially left camp with the end goal of Salem, Oregon in mind.
It hadn't been an easy road trip, especially since we couldn't use phones to help with navigation. But we'd managed alright. We were together, after all, and I swear with every mile we put between us and Camp Half-Blood Luke's spirits had lifted. Enough for him to tease me while cheating at I Spy.
"Alright, new game," I declared, sitting forward in my seat and looking at the scenery around us. "How about... twenty questions?"
"Sure," Luke said, still with a little laugh in his voice. As annoying as his cheating was, I couldn't ignore how happy I was to see him smiling so freely again.
"Alright... I've got something, go ahead."
Luke and I passed another hour that way, laughing as we thought up more and more ridiculous things to try to get the other to guess. After four years of knowing each other and dating for a year and a half of that, we knew each other well enough that truly stumping each other was basically impossible. After Luke successfully guessed that I was thinking of a bearcat, our new school's mascot (whatever the hell a bearcat was), he pointed up ahead of us instead of continuing the game.
"Look, we're officially crossing the boarder from Idaho to Oregon. Last one before we get to school."
"Home stretch," I said, smiling and reaching over the console in the middle of the car to take Luke's hand. "I'm glad we decided to do this."
"Me too."
A little glimpse of the storm clouds passed over his face, but unlike at camp, this time they cleared quickly. He shot me another smile as we drove over the state line and into Oregon. With more than two thousand miles in our rearview mirror, only about two hundred were left between us and the newest chapter in our lives.
"I hope Annabeth's going to be alright without us there," Luke said after moment's hesitation. We'd both been hesitant to completely leave her behind, but she'd assured us all summer that she wanted us to go.
"I'm sure she will be," I said. "Besides, we can Iris Message her all the time to keep in touch. It'll be like we never left."
"It's times like this that the no technology thing gets... frustrating."
"What?" I asked, feigning surprise and putting a hand to my heart to really sell the drama. "You're telling me you're not looking forward to taking only paper notes for college, and to figuring out how to turn in assignments without using a computer?"
"Believe it or not, no," said Luke with a little laugh. There was no question that the year ahead of us would be incredibly strange and full of challenges, but I knew we'd figure out a way through them, together. That's what all our training at camp had been for, after all. Although, the problem solving they'd been preparing us for had been a little more combat-based.
"Maybe Annabeth can come visit us for a break or something," I mused, kicking back in my seat and watching the trees fly past us on either side. I'd never been this far West before, and it looked incredibly different than anything I saw back home.
"Do you still want to visit camp over the winter break?" he asked. His voice was casual, but I thought I heard something else underneath his words, something a little more tense and brittle. "Go back for the Winter Solstice on Olympus?"
I paused, thinking my words over carefully and trying to gauge how Luke felt. Finally, tentatively, I responded.
"I don't know... If we're settled in here, and neither of us really wants to fly... I don't know if I'll want to leave our new lives after only four months being here."
Luke nodded, and I thought I saw his shoulders relax, just slightly.
"Yeah. Yeah, I think so too. We can decide later, of course, but... I think I want to stay here too."
I squeezed his hand lightly, and gave him a warm smile when he turned to look at me. He returned with a grin of his own, and after a moment of just enjoying the moment here, together, the two of us against the world, I leaned forward and cranked up the volume on the radio.
A little bit of luck must've followed us so far, because one of my absolute favorite songs was on, and I didn't hesitate to scream-sing the words at the top of my lungs. By the end of the day, Luke and I would be moving into a tiny apartment we'd found just on the edge of campus. In the morning, we'd gather materials and get ready to start our classes, and then the day after our new lives would begin. I had a feeling we probably wouldn't go back to our old lives, ever, even though Luke didn't seem to want to talk about permanently closing that door yet. But I didn't mind. The Olympians were overrated anyway, and I'd be happy to live like a normal college kid with the guy I loved, free from their influence and the problems they brought with them.

the fact that people are going silent about Chiron being black just goes to show you that Malcom X was right: black women/girls will always be the most disrespected race in America.
And he was cuz the hate that that little 12 year old girl got and is still getting??? Absolutely ridiculous. I hope she bonds with Mr. Glynn tho especially since Chiron is like a father figure to Annabeth.

Because of Seaweed (Percabeth AU)
A percabeth AU fanfic. That I had originally made because my friend didn't believe my writing was good, and now he's refusing to read the damn thing. Oh well. You guys will read it. That's more than enough. And, Shout out to my friend, Isha. She helped me with the plot to this fic. For this (mortal) AU, Malcolm is 2 years younger than Annabeth. Annabeth and Malcolm are Athena and Fredrick’s kids. Summary: Annabeth froze. She’s heard the 8 words multiple times in a teasing voice from her brother and her friends. She’s replayed the time she’d meet her soulmate in her head multiple times in multiple different ways. But never had she thought her soulmate would manage to get seaweed on one of her favorite books.
Read on AO3
She matured early, according to her parents.
Since Annabeth was 8, she hated the idea of “soulmates”.  Why does she have to spend her life with someone? Why does she have to fall in love with someone? And why isn’t it her choice?
Of course, her parents tried explaining it to her, ( “It is your choice. The soulmate idea is like… telling the future.”) but she wouldn’t have any of it.
Unfortunately or fortunately, the fateful 10th birthday of Annabeth’s rolled around. Most people would wake up on their 10th birthday, immediately looking at the inside of their dominant hand wrist. Annabeth on the other hand avoided even letting that side of her right hand in her line of sight until her dad came back from work right before dinner.
Both her parents and her 8yo brother, Malcolm, were fed up with Annabeth delaying to look at the words her soulmate will tell her. Rolling her eyes at this, she turned her wrist over, “‘ You’re more worried about your book rather than yourself? ’” She recited the words slowly to herself, the bold cursive writing, murder on her dyslexic eyes. “‘ You’re more worried about your book rather than yourself?’ ” She spoke more clearly, looking up at her family around the dining table. “That’s what it says.”
Athena let a teasing smile across her face as Annabeth’s father and brother burst out in laughter. “Fitting. Very, very fitting.” Annabeth scowled at her mom, “Be quiet.” she grumbled. Stabbing her fork in her noodles she took a bite, stuffing her face with food.
->->->->->
She’s in middle school, and maybe she’s stopped absolutely loathing the soulmate idea. Not that she’s 100% ok with Fate deciding her relationship or anything. But maybe she didn’t hate it.
Plus, the 8th-grade halls are (oddly enough) filled with people asking each other out, and then arguing over the fact that “YOU’RE NOT MY SOULMATE.”
Apart from that, at least Annabeth has friends now. (Read: Piper, Frank, Hazel, and Reyna.) And thank whatever god is up there, her friends aren’t the annoying 8th graders fighting over soulmates in the hallways.
She’s happy and content. Apart from the assload of homework she gets, content. Content with her family, her friends, her classmates, and teachers-
(Ok maybe she wants to stab that “Caleb” guy in the eye with a very sharp pencil if he says anything about Annabeth being “a dumb blond” one more time. And her Science teacher. If he says “Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell” one more goddamned time-)
->->->->->
Annabeth unlocked the door to her house, wincing a little in reaction to the yelling between her parents from the inside. She shook her head, stepping inside, praying that her parents aren’t near the stairs so she wouldn’t have to face that. God must have decided to be nice to the blond-haired girl, because her parents were arguing in the living room, and couldn’t even see the staircase from there.
No. It’s not out of the ordinary for her parents to fight. They’ve been doing it almost every day now. However, Annabeth hasn’t been able to understand why they fight. But they do and it bothers her. Let a girl and her brother in high school get some rest, would you?
About an hour later, she was typing up an essay that she completely forgot about, that's due the next day, when there was a loud sound from downstairs, the sound of someone running up the wooden staircase, and a frantic knock on her bedroom door. Confused and slightly concerned, she said, “Come in!”
As the door opened, Annabeth pushed her chair back across the wooden floor, cringing at the sound. “Malcolm?” Annabeth stood up as her brother shut and locked the bedroom door behind him. “What happened?”
Malcolm rolled his eyes, sitting down gingerly on Annabeth’s (for once unmade) bed. “I went downstairs to ask mom a question about homework, started talking before getting down the stairs, and she threw a plate- I wouldn’t say at me but pretty much at me.”
Annabeth raised her eyebrows in shock. “That's- that’s new,” she muttered under her breath.
Her brother scoffed, “No shit, Sherlock.”
Annabeth chuckled with no humor, saving her word document before sitting down next to the blonde-haired boy. “You ok though?”
Malcolm rolled his eyes fondly, “Yeah I’m fine, Beth.”
“Good.” A beat of silence passed between them before, “You could’ve just asked me for help instead of going to mom.”
He pondered this, “I guess.”
Annabeth chuckled, flopping down back on her bed, covering her eyes with her arm, “I’m tired.”
Malcolm fell into an almost imitated position, staring up at the ceiling, “Of what?”
Annabeth sighed, “Everything. It’s so stressful. Homework, essays, finals coming up, college applications, our parents fighting practically 24-by-7. It’s just too much-” Her voice cracked and she silenced herself.
“Yeah, I get it. Ninth isn’t much easier. Oh god, I forgot to tell you. Remember Calissa? From middle school?”
Annabeth nodded, “Mhm. The middle school ‘Bitch Girl.’ Why?”
“She asked me out today.”
Annabeth took her arm off her eyes and sat up looking at her brother with an unreadable expression. “ What?”
“Whoa, whoa Annie. Don’t go all “protective older sister” on me. I’m 15, I can handle this stuff myself .” Malcolm sat up as well. “I told her I’d think about it.”
Annabeth raised her eyebrows, crossing her arms at her chest, “You’d think about it? Malcolm this is the same girl who bullied 75% of your middle school. Including you. Are you-”
“Beth. Breathe. I’ll say no. I just said that at the moment.”
Annabeth scoffed, getting up from the bed and walking to her desk. “You better say no.” Malcolm hummed in response, getting up from the bed and leaving the room.
The sound of a ceramic cup breaking made Annabeth flinch (don’t ask how she knows what it was. She’s a little clumsy ok?). She bit her lip, turning to face the half-closed door, “Malcolm?”
“Yeah?” her brother’s muffled voice answered.
“Work in my room.”
->->->->->
Annabeth loved reading at the beach. The light wind messing up her hair, the random, delicate spray of water refreshing her; it was calming, relaxing, soothing...As long as she was a solid 30 feet away from the surfers.
Yet today was a different day, for Annabeth had actually come down to the beach with her brother and Calissa. Turns out, Malcolm ended up saying yes to go out with Calissa because he hasn’t “actually dated anybody.” So great.
To get her mind off things, she had decided to bring a book down to the beach like she always did. Picking up “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” for the 7th time in her life, she opened the book to where she left off.
She was engrossed in her book when she heard the loud splash before she felt the water.  Gasping, she stood up, facing a boy only slightly taller than her, maybe the same age. He had raven hair, which was splattered across his face from the ocean water. His eyes were a startling sea green color. Annabeth, with all the people she knew, had never come across someone with that color of green eyes.
Shaking her head slightly to get the seaweed out of her hair (and maybe that slight trance the guy in front of her left her in.) Picking up her book from the ground where it fell she winced, “What the hell!? You got seaweed on my book, damn it.”
She saw the guy in front of her rolling his eyes. “You care more about your book than yourself?”
Annabeth froze. She’s heard the 8 words multiple times in a teasing voice from her brother and her friends. She’s replayed the time she’d meet her soulmate in her head multiple times in multiple different ways. But never had she thought her soulmate would manage to get seaweed on one of her favorite books.
“Well shit.” She heard from in front of her.
Laughing humorlessly she ran her hand through her hair, “yeah shit.”
“Annie!” Annabeth looked over to her right, seeing her brother and Calissa walking over to them. “Found your soulmate?”
“Malcolm. Were you spying on me? You’re on a date, aren’t you?”
“We got bored.”
The raven-haired boy in front of her chuckled. “Annie.?”
“It’s a nickname.” She snapped. “That I will not allow you to call me.” Annabeth sighed, putting her hand out in front of her. “Annabeth Chase.”
The guy smiled, slipping his hand in Annabeth’s. “Percy Jackson.” Percy Jackson. Jackson. She recognized the name. Percy must’ve read her expression, for he laughed and said, “Yes, Sally Jackson’s son.”
Annabeth’s eyes widened, “Oh my god, her writing is beautiful. Her characters are so well written. The way she carries the series, oh my god it’s incredible!”
Percy laughed. From beside Annabeth, Malcolm gave Percy a look, “She's a little obsessed with Sally Jackson’s books.”
“A little?” Percy asked, teasing.
Annabeth glared at him, “Whatever.” My soulmate is Sally Jackson’s son. Oh my god.
Percy cleared his throat, “Uh. Sorry about the seaweed and everything. I lost control for a bit.”
Annabeth hummed absent-mindedly, wrinkling her nose in annoyance at the realization that her book was covered in saltwater and seaweed and she probably won't be able to save it. “Well, one of my favorite books is now soaked but I guess I’ll forgive you.” She then added, “But only because you're the son of one of my favorite authors.”
Percy laughed lightly, “Not surprising. All my friends love my mom more than me.” Percy reached his hand out and brushed off a piece of seaweed from Annabeth’s hair. Suddenly, it seemed like she forgot how to breathe. Annabeth saw Percy’s eyes search her face, his hand delicately resting on her cheek.
Too soon, Percy pulled back, and Annabeth wasn't sure why that bothered her. He glanced at the setting sun, “I should get going before my mom gets worried.”
Annabeth blinked, “Uh yeah, yeah ok.”
Percy smiled, turning, grabbing his surfboard from the ground, and yelled to some people in the distance, “Hey, Thalia! Jace, Neeks, we gotta go.”
“Don't call me that, Jackson!”
Annabeth smiled. “Hey, uh, Percy?”
Percy looked back at her, a smile still on his face, “Yeah?”
“Could I- Could I have your number?” Wincing, as she worried she might’ve stepped over a line.
Percy’s smile only grew, “Of course.”
->->->->->
She was happy. More than happy. In the past two years, a lot happened.
A few weeks after the beach incident, Annabeth had called Percy, asking to go out on a date, because, “we’re soulmates anyway, might as well.” He agreed. 2 weeks and 4 dates later, they had their first kiss. Under a street light that was already dying out, with a leaf or two, landing on Annabeth’s head, which Percy teased her about for weeks. ( “It was just a leaf Annabeth.” “We were kissing. Can you blame me for getting startled?” “No one’s blaming you. I’m just teasing you, Wise Girl.” “Yeah, I can tell, Seaweed Brain.” )
Oh and the nicknames. They’re stupid because they’re cliché. ( “But clichés are only clichés because they work, sweetie.” “Sure, Mrs. Jackson.” “Sally.” )
And Percy’s mother is a gem, and so is his half-sister, Estelle Blofis. Apparently, Percy’s parents are divorced, and Percy’s mother remarried, to an English teacher, Paul Blofis. Percy’s friends are great too. Thalia, Nico, and Annabeth immediately hit it off. Percy met Annabeth’s friends as well, at some point, and she found it cute how nervous he was.
Also, she got accepted to Queens College. And better yet, so did her boyfriend.

Little Do They Know
Pairing: Draco Malfoy x PJO (crossover)
Summary: Little do they know, the Great War is only the beginning, and the reason behind Voldemort's doings are different than anticipated. Little do they know, there's a whole other world outside of the one of the Greek Gods' and Goddesses', or that of the wizards'. Little do they know, one so called 'son of Athena' can change the all history (or all future), and one Slytherin boy can do just as much. Little do they know, Malcolm Pace doesn't exist, and Draco Malfoy isn't as bad as he seems. Or maybe... he's worse than they could have ever imagined. (Basically in short form, Draco has to choose between Camp, or Hogwarts. If confused, read author's note)
Terms: X
Warnings: None? If you haven't read Percy Jackson or Harry Potter, there may be spoilers... but I think that's it. People are a little OOC, too.
A/N: Okay, so a few things. First off, Draco is 15 instead of 16, and Percabeth/others are 13/12/whatever. The prophecy of the Seven isn't out yet, too, because it was the prophecy that Lucius was supposed to get (and failed to, so therefore Draco takes his place). Lastly, Hogwarts and Camp Halfblood are in the same country--you choose whether it's America or Scotland, or wherever you want, but Draco still has a different accent than Percy/Annabeth. (As requested by @marieskeez , let me know what you think! Sorry it's not completely the request, it I do hope you still enjoy)
Disclaimer: Idea was a request, so I don't own it. I also don't own Draco, Percy, Annabeth or any other characters/scene. Also, the part that describes the Dark Mark is from Wikipedia... or something like that. I did change a few things, though.
Tumblr media
Draco hesitantly rose up from where he slept seconds before, the creaky bed below him causing him to flinch, while he tried not to wake any of his siblings.
C'mon, Malfoy. He told himself. You can't hide forever.
And he was right, Draco couldn't hide forever. Some day, they're going to realize that he isn't a son of Athena. That in fact, he isn't even a demigod. And when that day came, Draco didn't want to be there.
Draco opened an old notebook of his siblings', and scribbled a quick farewell after he took off his sweatshirt. He set it onto his bed. Then, he grabbed his packed bag and fled the camp, pushing the dread of his future away.
--
Draco noticeably shivered as soon as he stepped into the old hotel.
"Are you cold, my love?" A woman's voice asked.
Draco swallowed, "No," he said.
The woman cackled, and stepped into the faint light. "Are you sure?" She asked. Her blood red lips glistened, and her pearly fangs peeked. However, her eyes were still hidden in the shadows of her helmet. But that didn't stop their faint glow.
Draco nodded, scared, like a child. This isn't what Father would have wanted. He told himself.
The woman cocked her head to the side slightly, "Come here, my love." She said.
Draco dragged his feet over to her, and held out his elbow for her to take. The woman did just so, and guided Draco deeper into the Labyrinth, where Voldemort awaited his new tool.
--
All around, demigods cheered for their victory, hugging each other, clashing swords, and even a few scattered kisses from couples.
Well, most demigods cheered.
Annabeth Chase's happiness was short-lived when she realized what really happened. It meant Luke was dead, and Percy...
Oh, Percy! Annabeth's mind screamed at her. Her grey eyes widened, and she sprinted over to where she saw him last, but somehow missed him.
--
The mystery of Malcom Pace was still unsolved to Annabeth and Percy, but they knew he wasn't taken from monster.
At least, not a monster they knew of.
Annabeth Chase paced in her cabin, back and forth, back and forth, until interrupted by the sound of the front door slamming.
"Annabeth! I think I got something!" Percy's shouts echoed through Athena's cabin.
Annabeth shot towards him immeaditely, "What?!" She asked him.
Percy bent over his legs, and panted, holding up a finger to signal Annabeth to wait. Annabeth rolled her eyes, "Give me this," she said, snatching the paper out of Percy's hands.
Annabeth's grey eyes scanned the sheet of paper infront of her, while Percy's expression mocked her. Obviously, Annabeth noticed this, so she stuck her tounge out at him, and proceeded to read.
Finally, she asked "What the Hades is a death eater?" While handing Percy back the paper.
"That's the thing, I-I don't know. No one knows. I... haven't you read anything about it in your books?"
Annabeth looked back to her bookshelf, and back at Percy with a frown. "No." She simply said.
Percy squinted at her like she was crazy, but shrugged it off.
Something wasn't right here.
Annabeth must have noticed, because she walked over to her books, and started to scan though them. Percy followed her, and did the same.
Or, he tried to do the same. Dyslexia didn't mix well with ADHD and reading. Especially the reading part.
"Ha!" Annabeth cheered.
"What?" Percy asked, while scrambling over to her.
Annabeth pointed to a symbol on the paper.
"The Dark Mark is the symbol of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. It refers both to a magically induced brand that every Death Eater bears on his or her inner left forearm, and to the same symbol summoned in the sky by curse.
"The Mark appears as a glittering green skull with a snake protruding from its mouth, which is believed to have been inspired by a Basilisk emerging from the mouth of Salazar Slytherin-- Heir of Slytherin, and founder of Slytherin house.
"The symbol is believed to also may be related to Lord Voldemort, as he is a Parselmouth, and leader of the Death Eaters.
"The original Dark Mark that is tattooed on the forearm is black, while the Dark Mark conjured by spell is green. It is also said that the Dark Mark represents immortality and power, a reasonable symbol for the Dark Lord.
"Inactive Marks appear faint, placed on the inner part of the left forearm. Active ones are jet black.
"As both a sign of loyalty and a way of summoning them, Lord Voldemort placed the Dark Mark brand on his followers' inner left forearms. The full process of Lord Voldemort's allies is unknown, but anonymous sources have claimed that this was done by the Dark Lord pressing finger to any Death Eater's Mark, which turns black immeaditely and delivers a burning sensation. Feeling the burn, the Death Eaters then Apparate to Voldemort's side--"
"What does Apparate mean?"
Annabeth shushed her boyfriend, and kept reading.
"It is unknown whether all Death Eaters feel the burning, or if Voldemort can choose to signal a specific person or people. Well known traitors hhave been rumored to somehow reject their summons.
"The deepness of the Mark's colour is connected to Voldemort's physical health. When Voldemort suffered his first defeat, the Marks on the Death Eaters faded. As he began regaining his strength, the faded marks became clearer, and burnt slightly to some, an eager sign of Voldemort's return. Other sources claim the burn comes suddenly and stings rather sharply.
"Death Eaters could also use it to signal Voldemort by pressing on their Dark Marks, as their lord would do. However, only Voldemort's inner circle is supposedly branded with the Dark Mark, which is considered a great honour among his followers.
"As a signature of their work, Death Eaters can also use an unknown spell create an image of the Dark Mark in the sky. The appearance of the Mark in the sky is the same as the Mark on the forearm, but green. It normally appears where there has been a murder by the hands of Death Eaters or Lord Voldemort. Due to the terror Voldemort and his Death Eaters had brought to the world in the First Wizarding War, the Dark Mark being cast over a location brings deep fear to the community, even after Voldemort's downfall.
"The spells used to brand and conjure the Dark Mark were likely invented by Lord Voldemort. He may have based the spell on the Protean Charm."
"Woah," Was all Percy could say.
Annabeth's eyes widened once again, and she scrambled to her feet, taking the book with her.
"Wait!" Percy called after her. "Where ya going?" He sprinted after Annabeth, into the Big House.
"Chiron!" Annabeth shouted, waving her free hand to the centaur. "Chiron," she panted, once she reached him.
Chiron looked down to her, and smiled sweetly. "Yes?"
"It's about Malcolm... the mark on his arm. We-we know what it is! We can--"
Chiron's face grew pale. "Come with me." He said, his eyes flickering to Percy for a minute.
He led them to the beach, and Percy's muscles immediately relaxed.
"Now, I understand you--"
"It's called the Dark Mark!" Annabeth said. Chiron shot her a look, as if to tell her to be quiet. Annabeth winced in apology. "Sorry," she said. "But it's from this guy named Voldemort... we," Annabeth looked to Percy, as if to say 'him and me', "read this book, and it told us something." Annabeth explained, flipping though the pages of her book. "It said that the Voldemort guy has these... followers, named Death Eaters. And they wear the Mark on their arm. It's supposedly set by a spell, but that doesn't make any sense, right? Magic doesn't exist."
Annabeth stopped when she saw Percy, who was talking to a crab. She rolled her eyes, mentally cursing his powers.
"Okay, well that's besides the point! The mark appears--"
"Uh, Annabeth?" Percy called, backing away from the crab infront of him, staring at the darkened sky.
"Black on their arms, but--"
"Annabeth?" Percy asked again.
"Can be spelled into the sky, which will turn it green, and--"
"ANNABETH!" Percy shouted.
Annabeth froze, astonished at Percy's sudden tone of voice. "What!?"
"Look up." Was all the demigod could squeak out.
Annabeth gasped.
There it was, the Dark Mark, in the sky, with people apparating out of the sky.
"Malcolm!" Annabeth squealed, and sprinted towards the horse stables.
"Wha-Annabeth!" Percy shouted while he dashed after her. Chiron just chuckled from behind the two, and trotted after them.
"C'mon, Blackjack." Annabeth said, trying to lure the pegasus out of his stables. Blackjack looked to Percy, Is she for reals? He asked. Percy just shrugged, "It's Malcolm." He said. Blackjack winnied, but followed.
--
In the air, Percy and Annabeth suddenly didn't feel so confident in themselves. Percy shivered from the cold airs touch, and Annabeth got an 'off feeling' in her gut. (It's called instinct, Annie, but whatever.)
When the couple made it to the Mark in the sky, fear brushed over them. But unfortunately, this was nothing new.
Suddenly, a flash of blond hair flew past the two.
"Malcolm!" They shouted. Startled, Malcolm turned around, but it wasn't Malcolm.
It was Draco.
But of course, they didn't know that.
"What are you doin' here!?" He asked. His voice changed, though. A tad deeper, yes, but it was also his accent.
He was British.
"Malcolm..."
Draco pressed his lips together in an attempted smile, but struggled to hold the expression.
"W-we came to save you," Annabeth mumbled, her eyes drifting towards the Mark on his arm. The Dark Mark.
Draco furrowed his eyebrows, Saving? He didn't need saving. He was fine.
"I don't need your help." He simply said, and tried to fly away. Annabeth had other plans, though.
"No, you're not. Come on, Malcolm. Come back to camp with us. You'll be safe--"
Draco's eyes widened, "Safe? Safe?! How can I ever be safe? Annabeth, I'm sorry but you know there's no escaping this."
Percy thought for a moment, and turned to face his friend. "What if there was?" He asked, right as Draco was about to fly away.
"What... what do you mean?"
"I mean, what if you didn't have to fight in... whatever this is. There's gotta be a way out, right?"
"'Fraid not." Draco mumbled.
Annabeth looked down, "No. No, there is a way out!" She suddenly exclaimed. "There is! And here's what we'll do." Draco inched closer to his two friends, and they discussed a plan.
--
Back at Camp Halfblood, life was no less messier than the usual, but Draco was there to help.
As Draco, too. Not as Malcolm.
After fighting his war, Draco was reluctant to go back to Camp, in fear of what others would think of him. What would they do? What would Chiron do?
The answer was, nothing.
Well, within reason.
When Percabeth and Draco returned to camp, demigods cheered. Again. But this time it wasn't because they won a war.
It was because Draco was back, healthy as ever. He greeted his 'siblings', and friends, but unfortunately, like any other good thing, his joy was short-lived.
"Malcolm!" Chiron said, excited that the demigod returned. Draco flinched, but reluctantly dragged his feet over to the centaur.
"Hey, Chiron," he said, and winced at the sound of his own voice.
"We are so glad to have you back." The centaur said. "But... I've been told that things are different, yes?"
Draco nodded his head.
"Very well. Come with me." Chiron said, and Draco followed, with his head hung low in shame.
"So," Chiron said once they made it into a more private area of the Big House.
"So..." Draco echoed, trying not to burst from emotion. He had finally found a place that loves him for who he is. Not for his mother. Not for his father. Him, for him.
"Look, I'm really, really... sorry." Draco said. "I never meant for anything to go this far, I just... it's so beautiful here, and I actually feel like I belong! But I just, I... I'm sorry." He said again.
Chiron laughed. He actually laughed. "No worries, my child." He said. Draco furrowed his eyebrows.
"What did you just say?"
"I said 'no worries'. Hakuna matata, right?"
"I uh, I have no clue what you're talking about."
Chiron laughed again. "It means 'no worries'." He said with a trace of fondness in his voice. "But anyway, don't fret. Percy and Annabeth told me everything." He paused, and then said: "And I believe you did the right thing."
Now, Draco was more confused than ever. Was Chiron mocking him? Was this a trick? Where's his punishment? Was this it?
Chiron must have noticed, because he smiled sadly at Draco, "I understand your pain," he said. No, Draco thought. No, you don't. No one does.
"But I do believe... you still deserve a second chance?" Chiron said. Although, it sounded more like a question to Draco than a statement.
So, of course he said: "If that's alright, yes."
"Of course." He said. "But I must ask, you're not a real demigod, are you?" He said.
Draco pressed his lips into a thin line, "No." He said. "I am a wizard."
Chiron nodded his head, "And I assume your name isn't Malcolm?"
Draco shook his head. "It's Draco." He mumbled.
Chiron studied the boy, and watched the way his eyes filled with panic. "That settles it, then." He whispered.
Draco heard him, and visibly flinched, expecting some sort of punishment.
"My child," Chiron said. "You don't need to worry anymore."
At that, Draco looked up.
"It will be our little secret."
Draco smiled. "But what will we say when they ask?"
"Hmm, family problems, perhaps?"
Draco nodded his head slowly and sheepishly. I mean, it's only partially a lie.
"Very well, then." Chiron said. "Off you go!"
Draco smiled wider at him, the worry lines across his face suddenly dissapeared, and walked out of the Big House, to find his friends.
But of course, not before thanking the gods.

Request: Could you do a Jason x reader? Where she's Annabeth's actual sister and everyone tries to get them together but they've been dating for ages. But then Malcom and Annabeth catch them making out
Here! It! Is! I made the reader gender-neutral, but they are still a child of Athena and Annabeths full sibling. I think this might be the fluffliest thing I have written up to now. Please tell me if it is any good!
Hope you enjoy!

You were tired, sitting at breakfast at the Athena table. You sighed and looked in the direction of the Zeus table. There was your – secret- boyfriend sitting, all alone. Why secret you ask? Well, it is fun to lead your sister Annabeth on. Also the frustration you got from your half-brother Malcom was very amusing. ‘Ask him out. Please.’ Malcom begged you. You looked at him, raising your eye brow. ‘Why?’ You heard a frustrated sigh coming from Annabeth, who was sitting to your side. ‘Because you like him!’ she let out, and you just shrugged, earning two glares from your siblings.
‘So, how are we going to get them together?’ Malcom asked Annabeth. She looked up from her architecture book. ‘I don’t know. They are just impossible!’ she exclaimed. ‘Not as impossible as a couple I knew’ Annabeth looked at Malcom question. ‘I am talking about you and Percy.’ ‘What-‘ a small blush crept onto Annabeth’s face. Malcom let out a laugh. ‘But a plan?’ Annabeth asked as she calmed down. ‘I think I have a plan’
You were just walking with Jason to sword practice, when Malcom ran up to you. ‘Hi, (Y/n), are you free tonight?’ he asked you. ‘Yeah, why?’ you answered him. Malcom smiled and looked to Jason. ‘Jason, you free tonight?’ he asked him. ‘No, I am going to hang with Leo. But why?’ Jason asked your half-brother. Malcom suddenly got a very frustrated look on his face. Then he let out a heavy sigh, and looked down. ‘No reason. Forget what I asked.’ The son of Athena turned around and walked away. ‘Did you see the look on his face?’ you whispered to Jason. ‘Totally worth it.’ You smiled. Jason let out a small laugh as he adorned your little joy.
‘How did it go?’ Annabeth asked Malcom. ‘I failed. Jason already had plans.’ He told her. ‘What exactly was your plan?’. Malcom looked at his half-sister. ‘Asking them both if they were free tonight, and if they both could I would say that I wasn’t and that they had a date now.’ Annabeth laughed at Malcom’s plan. ‘It is kind of logical that that wouldn’t work. But it gave me the time to think of something else.’
‘You want me to do what now?’ Percy asked his girlfriend. ‘I want you to get close to (Y/n), so Jason will get jealous and confess his feelings, Seaweed Brain.’ ‘Aren’t they already dating?’ He asked her. ‘No, weird right?’ Annabeth let out a little huff. ‘Just don’t kill me if I get too close, Wise girl.’ Percy sighed ‘I won’t if they get together.’ Annabeth winked and walked away.
‘Hey, (Y/n), wanna hang for a bit?’ Percy asked you out of nowhere. ‘Sure, watcha wanna do?’ ‘Just talk, or something.’ You nodded. You noticed that Percy was standing a bit closer to you then he normally would. ‘How was your day?’ you asked him, taking a small step back. ‘Ah, the usual, sword practice, talking with Annabeth. How was yours?’ ‘Bit tiring, but fine.’ Percy put a hand on your shoulder. ‘If you want to talk, you know where to find me, right?’ he asked concerned. You were about to answer when suddenly Percy hand got removed from your shoulder. Jason stood close next to you, grabbing Percy’s wrist, and glaring at Percy. The whole air turned awkward. ‘Uhm, hey Jason.’ You said, and Jason looked at you, his face softening ‘Well, I need to go now, do some stuff. See you later!’ you said as you walked away from the tense scene, hoping that Jason would follow before he killed Percy.
Jason’s eyes followed your retreating figure, when he spoke up. ‘Dude, could you just not.’ Jason had a distant look on his face. ‘Not what?’ ‘Be so close to them.’ Jason glared at Percy, who looked at him with surprise written all over his face. ‘Why? You like them?’ He asked he sarcastic. ‘…’ Jason let go of Percy’s wrist. ‘Just ask them out.’
You felt two muscular arms wrap around you, and a smile formed on your face. ‘Took you long enough.’ You kissed Jason’s cheek. ‘Sorry, my love. Just had to fix something.’ He whispered into your ear. ‘Percy?’ you asked, and you heard Jason laugh. ‘Yeah’ he snuzzled his nose into your neck, which got a giggle out of you. ‘Jelly Jason.’ You said when out of nowhere Jason started tickling you. You let out a scream and started laughing hysterically. ‘Jay- please – stop’ you let out between wheezes. Jason pressed you into the ground and smirked. Oh gods that smirk was so hot. The mischief behind his eyes that normally would be hidden. He almost started tickling you again, when you moved up and kissed him on the lips. You felt Jason relax under your touch and he put a hand behind your head. His order hand went to support you at the hips. You put your hands in his hair, and started messing with it to the movements to your lips. The two of you broke apart and looked each other deep in the eyes. His electric blue ones filled with admiration, and a small blush on his face. You placed your hand on his cheek, and moved your thumb over his lips, onto the scar above his upper lip. A small smile adorned your face, mirroring his expression as he moved in again.
‘FINALLY!’ suddenly sounded from the bushes. ‘Fuck, Annabeth, shut up.’ You heard your half-brother Malcom whisper. Jason softly placed you back on the ground, blush spreading on his face. He stood up, and offered you a hand. You accepted it, and went over to the bushes. ‘Way to ruin the moment.’ You stated as you glared at your sister and half-sibling.
