Merry Christmas! :3
Time had been off, the captain realized. More harsh than needed, quiet when not telling someone off or commanding the camp. What could be the reason? Warriors trail of thought was broken off by the sailor tugging on his scarf, wiping tears from his eyes. "Everything okay, sailor?" Warriors asked, frowning slightly.
"I...uh, wanted to try out one of the old man's masks and he snapped at me." Wind said, sniffling.
Warriors eyes fell on the old man who had shadows on his face as he held his bag tightly. "Some of those masks are dangerous. Even for me. The old man most likely wanted to stop you from getting hurt." He said, trying to reassure.
Wind nodded and rubbed his eyes again. The captain patted the kid on the back and wandered over to the old man.
What had Time said?
Wind wouldn't cry when told off by Time. He would go over to the traveller or the cook and giggle or complain. "Time." Warriors said gently.
The old man turned around, irritation flickering in his gaze. "What's going on?" Warriors asked, crossing his arms.
The old man softened a little and sighed. "I'm fine, captain."
"When was the last time you acted like a good leader?" Warriors retorted.
Time stiffened. "What do you mean?"
"You've been pushing our team too hard, snapping at everyone. The sailor came to me crying, the cook stopped talking last week. The rancher and the traveller avoid you, and smithy isolates himself from the group. The chosen takes to comforting everyone when you can't, and don't get me started on our vet." Warriors said tiredly.
Time flinched and looked at the captain with unshed tears in his eyes. "I...huh?"
"There has to be something bothering you." Warriors said.
"I can handle it I'm the o-"
"Don't give me that shit. If you want to handle it, tell me what's going on." Warriors said.
Time took a deep breath and said, "Fine. It's been forever since we've been in my era, and I just...I've been worrying too much. Not to mention that I've been having nightmares about the last time something happened to her."
The captain wrapped the old man in a hug. Time took a few minutes to process what Warriors did and returned the hug, albeit hesitantly. "Old man, I saw Malon carry four cows at once. She is so strong. I know she wouldn't like you behaving like you have these past few weeks." Warriors said softly.
"Yes." Time murmured into the captain's scarf.
Warriors remembered Mask crying into his scarf after trying to deny he was hurt, and held Time tighter. No matter the age, Mask and Time were the same. "Let it out." Warriors whispered.
Soon the old man's shoulders shook with quiet sobs. They stared there until Time was done and he stood up, wiping the tears from his eyes. "I think I need to say some apologies." Time said sheepishly.
"Mhm."
That evening once food was passed out the old man cleared his throat. "Everyone, I apologize for how I've been acting recently. You did not deserve my fury." Time said.
Everyone looked a bit surprised but Sky sighed with relief and soon Time was wrapped in more hugs. "I--Wha--"
"Calm down old man it's a hug." Legend said, his voice a little muffled.
Time chuckled softly. Warriors smiled.
"Link!" Malon hurried over and kissed Time on the lips.
"I missed you." Time muttered.
"As did I. I worried about yew, thinkin' yew wouldn't come home." Malon said.
"I worried a lot too." Time admitted.
Warriors grumbled something under his breath, the old man didn't hear him though. Malon blinked and then sighed. She invited them all inside and then had a talk with Time. "The captain already knocked some sense into me." He said.
"Well...Just don't worry about me too much, m'kay? I can defend ma'self jist fine." Malon said, putting her hand on his shoulder.
"I know." Time said almost inaudibly.
"Have yew apologized to th' others yet?" Malon asked.
Time nodded. "Our team's in much better shape now, thanks to the captain."
Malon sighed softly and rested her head on Time's shoulder. Wind came in abruptly. "Miss Malon, uh, Hyrule got too close to the kitchen."
"Is there a fire?" She asked, eyes widening a little.
The sailor shook his head. Malon stood up, and hurried to the kitchen, followed by the old man. "Heh, I uh, can explain myself." Hyrule said and then dashed away.
The kitchen was an utter mess, ingredients everywhere and then something smelled like it was burning. "By Th' Three..." Malon muttered.
"I'll get him." Legend grumbled and went out the front door.
"Who's helping me clean this mess?" Malon asked.
Time counted to three and all the heroes sprinted in separate directions, leaving the scene. Malon ran after the old man, laughing and claiming that he was too slow.

Weird that people seem to just now remember Tiana's existence after ignoring her for more than 10 years. White people happily ignored her but now that Ariel is black all the sudden they care about Tiana?
No cuz they always bring up Tiana and Black Panther as if they actually care or know about the characters! Like just say what you wanna say. You were already gonna get told off but be honest.

Machete has parents?? I'm not familiar with their actual lore, so I've been imagining Machete as a desolate victorian orphan boy
Everyone has parents, he didn't materialize out of thin air (or evolve from a crumpled napkin).
But he lost contact with them early on and doesn't remember much of anything about them. Machete was a sickly kid and his family was going through a rough patch at the time, they were constantly struggling to find the time and funds to care for him. Child mortality was high and it was starting to look increasingly likely that he wouldn't make it. He was around three or four when they left him at the closest monastery that accepted foundlings and he hasn't heard of them since.

Something I find quite concerning...
is the amount of people who think Seaglass is ‘defective’ based on....very normal (in universe) features she has.
Tumblr media
Ever since I’ve introduced her, I’ve repeatedly gotten comments on my posts and in my inbox that read to the effect of:
“CG is really small. Is she defective?” “CG only has one eye. Is she off color?”
and even
“Hey, I noticed that she has a tooth gap, does that mean something is wrong with her?”
And I always find this really confusing, because all of the ‘evidence’ listed for the theory that she’s somehow ‘wrong’ is just.... things that make her unique! But none of them are bad.
We have SEEN small gems in the show.
Tumblr media
We have SEEN gems with only one eye in the show.
Tumblr media
And we have SEEN gems with tooth gaps!
Tumblr media
...a feature which, by the way, is merely a small variation of how our mouth bones grow together, and is in no way indicative of there being something ‘wrong’ with you.
To top it all off........ Seaglass is a gem I invented! There is no canonical shape for a Seaglass type gem in the show. Indeed, not really even a standard Glass gem exists!
If I had based her on some existing type of gem and changed up her features, I could understand people wondering about WHY those were unique.
But to look at a gem that has no prior design and to immediately suspect that there MUST be something ‘defective’ about her based on absolutely arbitrary features.................. is a little odd, I must admit.
Indeed, it smells an awful lot like Homeworld thinking - ANY variation must immediately be scrutinized for ‘wrongness’ and set upon with the suspicion dedicated to something harmful.
Tumblr media
And if this was only about a cartoon, I’d probably shrug it off.
But the reality is..... this is some top-tier level middle school mentality.
Scrutinizing people for ‘flaws’ first and asking questions second is an extremely unfair way to interact with others.
And I want you guys (especially the younger peeps reading my comic) to understand that if this was YOUR kneejerk reaction to Seaglass......maybe that’s not the healthiest thing?
Why did you assume that something unique automatically meant ‘defective’? Why did you theorize that she came out ‘wrong’ simply because she was a little different from the rest of the cast? (And not even extremely so.) And most importantly:
Have you ever done this to a real human being?
Anyway, the point is - people are sometimes born different. That doesn’t necessarily mean they are ‘defective‘. Try not to assume that brokenness is the ONLY alternative to total assimilation.
Tumblr media
And let her sleep.

the funniest part of bg3 to me is that they keep talking about how vampires are super enhanced and have incredible abilities and are super scary, even if they're spawn, etc... yet astarion has a strength modifier of fucking 0 and can jump a distance of like 20cm, he's always without fail the first one in my party to eat shit no matter what i have him do, he's not even particularly fast. i have to assume that either the vampires are really good at PR and managed to convince everyone they have superpowers when they don't, or astarion was such a cringe elf that this is him with super strength and speed. and personally i know which one i find funnier

I was talking a bit about this but I think part of the reason iterators are designed as these small little doll-like puppets is both to humanize and dehumanize them by the Ancients. The puppet, at is core, is a means for communication with a great biological machine- to give it a face and features and ground it as you ask its advice or it's progress. This massive, world-altering creation simplified down to this little thing that had all the features of a person. But its also small, cute, Ancient-like but clearly not an Ancient itself. They're colorful and simple, like a toy for children. And I think thats largely how Ancients saw them- often not as a person with desires and opinions but as an extension of the Ancient's work, a personalized character that represented their cities and people, whos citizens could like them and were comprehensible to their children, but was not them- and would not reap the reward of being them when a solution was found. Each one pretty and unique to make them individuals, but not seen- truly- as individuals by many- just as parts of their cities, something under the Ancients. Like if every town had its own personal My Little Pony they could ask advice on where the next community center should be built.

wait omg Imaaoooo
imagine gojo forcing megumi to intentionally look sad in the pictures he takes so he can guiltrip darling omg i hate him
"look at this sad orphan BABY youre trying to leave motherless for a SECOND time" *insert pic of megumi looking more constipated and annoyed than sad*
YOU UNDERSTAND THE VISION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the characterization i had in mind for yan gojo was him finding the most roundabout yet effective ways to keep his darling from waddling off. he'll utilize force if he has to and won't feel particularly bad about it (especially if it's dispatching a 'threat' to you or giving a little demonstration of what exactly he's capable of), but he doesn't want you to dislike him. he wants to have his cake and eat it.
imo, how he'd go about handling a darling entrenched in the jujutsu sorcerer world vs a civilian would be very different. in the case of the former, he'd really want to involve you in his dream of reforming jujutsu society through training up the next generation. this would make for some unique yandere dynamics.
pros:
you're not locked up 24/7 and can pretty much come and go as you please
you get to pseudo adopt a handful of teenagers in your later years
cons:
gojo satoru is around
he will tell everyone you're married even if you're still in high school (and very much not married)
you get weird looks when dropping megumi off at school since you can't even legally drink yet

what's your opinion on fanfics about dnp? (more in a way of do you think that it's crossing boundaries and/or being parasocial)
i'm of the same mind of dnp in that phanfic is fucking incredible. it's an important and valid way to express yourself, as well as a building block of our community. i don't think it's crossing boundaries, as it's fiction. i don't see it as parasocial either--you're writing for you and others like you. most people don't want dnp reading their fics, it's not for them in a sense, it's for us.
i think dnp are extremely aware of fanfic and its value and place in community. they've always encouraged it, appreciated the support, and given us space about it. they're not ones to make videos about it and mock fans for it (which happened to some of our lovely fic writers here writing for other yt fandoms, and i'm so sorry about it). dnp are fandom culture people. they've written fic themselves! and published it in their book!
the word parasocial has been twisted lately to imply any fan support is unnatural and should be shamed, which is complete fucking bullshit. making art is always important and valued. and it is necessary for your existence as a human, but also for the thing you're a fan of to thrive.
the parasocial side comes in once you start believing you know this person. and that you're their real friend. when in reality, they do not know you specifically, and you are not their friend, you are an audience member.
so a parasocial relationship only occurs when people start crossing boundaries (digging for not publicly available information, contacting people in their personal life, showing up to their house, etc). which, is absolutely nowhere close to real fan behaviour.
tl;dr: phanfic is great, i love you fic writers, parasociality is a problem but not one that we have

Blizzard! :D
The veteran walked, and walked, limbs starting to grow numb. “Keep moving, vet. We’ve got to get out of this blizzard.” Wild urged.
“Can’t you teleport with that slate or something like that? Why do we have to try and walk through this goddess-damned blizzard?” Legend gritted his teeth and walked despite the snow in his boots and on his lashes.
He could barely see anything ahead. “I have no signal in this area.” Wild answered, holding his slate close to his chest as the treaded through the snow.
The veteran shuddered and wrapped an arm around the cook, still trying to keep up. “Hebra can be a nightmare but I’m sure if we can find a cabin somewhere.” Wild assured.
“You better be right..” Legend hissed as more snow fell into his boot.
Suddenly the vet couldn’t do this any longer. He gripped Wild’s shoulder tighter but he couldn’t stop himself as his knees buckled. “Legend!” Wild yelped.

What other dogs breeds are you favourites?
I love standard poodles and labradors!
Apart from sighthounds (and I don't own any of these photos, just showing them for demonstration purposes)
I've always had a soft spot for Dobermans!
Tumblr media
They often make me sort of sad though. To my understanding they have a lot of severe hereditary illnesses, and they're a type of breed that tends to attract bad owners. I also can't in good conscience support cropping and docking, even though I agree that they contribute to the iconic look of the breed.
Sled dogs are cool, Greenland dogs/Canadian inuit dogs/Qimmit/Qimmiq in particular.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like hairless dogs a lot, they're very charming.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of livestock guardian breeds have very pleasing shapes, even though they're not the type of dog I'd ever get myself. This one's a Central Asian Ovtcharka/Alabai/Tobet.
Tumblr media
And this is a Kangal.
Tumblr media
Yakutian laikas have the most intense markings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huskies are fun for the same reason, especially when they have particularly striking and unusual faces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I think lop eared scenthounds are endearing, but to be perfectly honest there's a lot of visually similar breeds and I can't tell them apart all that well. These are Poitevin hounds, they have long slender faces and this sort of smoky eye look going on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But dogs are just neat in general, I'm not very particular about breeds.

How did Frisk Kanako etc react to learning about HOW the monsters got clover’s soul? I can’t imagine they’d treat it as completely normal although I guess it’s a possibility they might?
frisk; sad, but still happy for them. theyre happy that clover got to experience the same thing they did in their trip through the underground; the kindness of monsters and the bonds they make with others. but they’re still sad FOR clover, that they had to die, they wanted to die, for the monsters. its an injustice that clover died after everything they went through
kanako: her mom hid no secrets from her when they reunited; in the months between returning home and clover reviving, ceroba told kanako everything that happened, even clover’s sacrifice. at the time, kanako thought clover was pretty brave for doing it, and was sad she never got to meet them.
when they DID meet, kanako was kind of over the moon for a bit! but as they got closer clover confided in her that they were awfully scared about the whole thing and dying was painful and they were alone, and kanako realized they werent some cool, untouchable brave cowboy; they were a scared, lonely kid just like she was in the lab. clover was much more down to earth than some fairytale her mom would tell her as a bedtime story. she related to clover a lot more after learning what they really felt about it
