Late night hot cocoa
((parent dadzawa x child reader )) It was late, very late when Shouta pulled into the driveway of his home. Stepping inside his home he takes off his shoes, prepares to shower, and head to bed. But when he starts walking to his room he hears a soft.
“D-daddy” The voice sounded rather small, strained, and tired. Confused Shouta looked around the room until he saw where the source of the name came from.
A small child sitting on the couch holding their cat stuffie (muffin). Giving a small smile Shouta walked over to them and crouched down.
“Hey there anklebiter, what are you doing up?” It was strange for them to be awake, even if they were waiting for Shouta to come home. Usually, He’d come home and find them passed out on the couch or in his bed. When the child tried to answer they let out a couple of rough-sounding coughs and a whimper. Holding their painful throat and sniffling.
Shouta caught onto this and reached out to feel their forehead. Frowning the feeling of overheated skin was pressed to his. He tutted softly and stated.
“You’re sick” But of course, the kid tried denying it, shaking their head no.
“I’mb fide daddy” Shouta seemed a little confused as to why the kid refused the idea of being sick.
“And why do you say that?” “Because daddy’s busy.” That broke the man’s heart, they thought because he was busy that they couldn’t be sick. As if there had to be ‘timing’ to be sick. Shaking his head, he slides onto the couch and pulls the child into his arms. “Problem kid, just because I’m busy doesn’t mean you can’t be sick. It's not up to you or my schedule as to when you don’t feel good.” “But, it's late daddy?” “You come first. I know it's late you don’t wanna keep me up but. I chose to be a parent, and that means staying up late with you when you don’t feel good.” “O-okay daddy” Smiling a little, kissing their forehead Aizawa then asked.
“Now, do you wanna stay on the couch or in your bed?” The kid started to twiddle their fingers shyly. Noticing the bashfulness, Shouta knew something was up.
“What’s up kid?” Looking away from their father they muttered in a small voice. “Wadda sleep id your bed” Hearing this Shouta laughs a little and picks them up. “Alright, then let's go.” Carrying them to his room he places them on the bed and sets down his hero gear. Taking off his capture weapon, gear belt, and goggles. He packs them away and says.
“I’m gonna get somethings for you, so sit tight.” The child nods and crawls under the covers holding Muffing close to them. Leaving the bedroom Shouta gets a big fuzzy blanket, some medicine, and lastly some hot chocolate in the kid’s favorite mug. Shouta also got a cup for himself.
Bringing all those items into his room, he sets the hot chocolate and medicine on his nightstand.
“Alright, anklebiter, I got you things to help you,” Aizawa announces as he sits beside them on the bed. Wrapping it around the small child, Shouta made sure they were comfortable before giving them the medicine. Taking it without fuss worried the black-haired man. All they did was gulp it down and lean into Shouta’s side.
Gingerly petting them on the head, Shouta reaches for the hot chocolate.
“I’m sorry you feel so yucky, problem child. Think some hot cocoa will help?” This seemed to bring some light into those tired little eyes of theirs. Making grabby hands for their kid-sized mug, Aizawa hands it to them.
“Blow on it kiddo it's hot.” Nodding, the child softly blows on it to cool down the hot drink. Taking a sip they smiled a little. Wrapping his arm around the kid he smiles tiredly.
“Thanks, daddy” “You’re welcome Lil problem child. Now drink up and try and get some sleep. I’ll call off in the morning if you’re not any better.” Shouta takes a swig of his hot chocolate.
“Ok daddy”

It's that time again! First Friday Fic Night
For a refresher you can see what this is about here.
Voting at the bottom to choose next month's topic.
This month is family feels. Found family. The one you chose or who you chooses you. Sometimes on purpose but often unintentionally. As someone who had to cut ties with my family of origin (except my sister who is a gem), this theme is close to my heart.
I don't think that families (found or otherwise) are limited only to long-term, here-for-the-long-haul, relationships. Sometimes someone passes through your life for a brief period of time but manage to plant a home in your heart. It can happen when you need them for a season, or when they need you, and usually it hits you when you least expect it. So my definition of family feels may seem broad so the stories may not hit that spot for you. It's cool, they are all still really worth the read.
I had difficulty narrowing down my list so we may come back to family feels in the future. I also left Dadzawa out. That is a whole genre of its own. In this post we have Attack on Titan, My Hero Academia, Teen Wolf, and Snow White With the Red Hair. We kind of hit them all.
As always, mind the tags!
Attack on Titan
make this moment last forever, by aelandair
"Erwin accompanies Levi to an orphanage."
This one sits at the intersection of creating family and intense yearning. Maybe leans a little farther into the yearning. Oops.
My Hero Academia
Your sun in the night sky, by notified
"In which Bakugou Katsuki learns saving is not always about blowing stuff up, cracking down on villains' plans or, even making use of his quirk in any significant aspect. It can be gruelling, tedious and heartbreaking. And it's funny, because he never really set out to save the brat in the first place.
Or, Bakugou acquires a snarky orange child."
I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this fic. I actually don't know how many times I've read it at this point. This is Bakugou not just saving without blowing things up, but it is also him learning to care for others, understand what giving up a piece of yourself really means, and discovering family. Plus, domestic Bakugou is my religion.
I think this might have been the first BNHA fic that grabbed me. It is top 5 BNHA for me, and I have 268 BNHA fics read and bookmarked. I wish I was joking about that last part.
lullabies for ghosts in the mind, by jarynw02
"He’s well aware of how convenient it might be for Dabi to parade around as an innocent toddler for a while to throw off suspicion. How, if this were still Dabi’s mind, he’d be smart enough to lie and act and cover his trail until he can return to normal and inevitably escape.
But Katsuki can’t stop thinking about how bright his blue eyes are, how they swelled with tears in the alley at the mention of heroes-- the mention of his father, Endeavor, the most impactful hero in the child’s life. Even if this tiny human is Dabi biding his time, those tears were real. Those tears were real and coming from eyes so much like Katsuki’s husband’s eyes, shed for the same man that’d made Shouto cry too many times for Katsuki’s liking.
Or
Dabi turns into a toddler and Katsuki brings him home to Shouto."
I think this was originally going to be a longer fic, but it works really well as just a one shot. As I mentioned above, domestic Bakugou is my thing, and in this he is soft soft soft.
His Littlest Listener, by lilredpandacub
"Present Mic Loves all his jobs. But he especially loves his Friday and Tuesday night Session on his Radio Show where his most favourite caller is sure to ring up late at night just to speak and pose ever more interesting questions. Hizashi really just wants to give the sweet little baby a cuddle."
Baby Izuku being so smart and Presentation Michael is really feeling personally attacked by it.
Teen Wolf
Roots to Tether by, clotpolesonly
"Scott needs someone to look after Beacon Hills while he's away at college. Stiles needs someone to keep an eye on his dad. Liam needs a sparring partner, Mason needs a translator for his ancient books, Malia needs someone to run with.
And Derek? Well, Derek needs this."
Derek gains a family that he didn't know he was looking for and that he didn't know he needs. My biggest Teen Wolf ship is Derek/stability.
Snow White With the Red Hair
The Five Times Obi Knocked (and the one time he didn't), by happybubbles
"He always wondered what it would feel like to have a home. And she always wondered if she would find a place of her own ever again."
I always always want Obi know he has a home and highlighting how Obi uses their knocking on the wall to express that is just lovely.
Fugue in Three, by infinitelystrangemachine_old
"Ryuu, Shirayuki, and Obi have all taken different paths to end up where they are now. An admission on Ryuu's part helps tip the trio into their future."
This is such a beautiful piece. The three of them finding home in one another, settling into a life together and reaching out for the version of the future that they want. It feels like evert line destroys me.
'It hurts. It aches. It tears at her until all she wants to do is shake Obi awake, retreat into the safety of his arms for the first time ever, if only to find a place to bury the tortured unmaking and remaking of her heart.'
'Take me, he thinks, and his heart, his very own heart, goes still in his chest. Do what you want with me. I’ll lay at your feet if that’s what you want. I’ll crawl on my hands and knees for the rest of my life if it would do you some good.'
It's just so good. I can't. If there is only one fic you read from this list, it should be this one.
Please enjoy, I hope these warm you (even when they hurt a little bit.) Let me know how much you like them on a scale of excel sheets tracking nutrition to cracking adolescent voices.
See you next month <3

Character everyone gets wrong - oh damn, lotta answers I could give for this. Mmm... actually, because I haven't seen a lot of people talk about this one: Aizawa Shouta/Eraserhead. Like... imo both fans and people who hate him don't actually write his character properly; fans mainly writer 'Dadzawa' and him being this super caring dude who like saves every kid ever when like... in canon he's an incredibly flawed person who often does more to harm his students than he does help and has a shit ton of trauma that prevents him from being the support they really need. Yet at the same time I think a lot of the hate for him tends to hyperfocus on his flaws and act like he only cares about like two students, when he does care a lot about them and does try and help his students; also, no one ever takes into account his role as a homeroom teacher; his job isn't to improve their skills in a specific area like an English or Gym teacher, it's to make sure they get things like good internships or opportunities, and to make sure they more or less stay on track. He does seem to try at least. A lot of Aizawa's flaws as a teacher are the same flaws all the adults in the series share due to the errors in writing, really. Idk, both the pro Aizawa and anti Aizawa stuff I've read just kinda rubs me the wrong way.
3) Worst take you've seen on tumblr - oh SHIT. This could be a whole separate post in and of itself. I could say "Itachi was actually the most super awesome cool genius ever and he was 100% right and Sasuke's a little bitch for not doing exactly what his flawless plan decided and also Fugaku Uchiha was abusive so he's the real hero", because I will eat the esophagus of the next person who says that. Or "Cass is actually so mean and scary so all the civilians like Jason more because he protects women and children specially and also she's so mean to him :(" because I am willing to commit first degree murder of this. I could also say "Dabi-Touya/Fuyumi/Shouto/Natsuo/fucking REI are the real Abusers and Endeavour never did anything wrong actually", or maybe "Ben was abusive towards poor uwu boy Klaus who did nothing wrong ever". And that's just sticking within fandom. There are probably worse takes out there, but I refuse to remember them atm.
13) Worst Blorboification - oh, this one's easy, fucking TIM DRAKE. Blorboification is fine but he's been blorboed so hard the Tim Drake fandom isn't even a fan of the actual fucking character by any measure, there's like nothing left there. I try reading Tim Drake fanfic and I'm hit by Sad Pathetic White Boy Who Is So Tormented By The Cruelty Of Those Around Him And Can Do Nothing But Cry like NO. THATS NOT HIM AT ALL. I'M GOING TO EAT SOMEONE'S LUNGS NEXT TIME I HAVE TO READ THIS.

Tumblr media
I’ve been seeing these and decided what the hell? Keep in mind all of these are personal opinions and subjective to change.
Also, keep in mind that while I am in the process of re-reading the manga, I cannot recall every detail off the top of my head, I could be wrong at points. These are just brain dumps, so take everything with a grain of salt.
Also, no order for these.
Adore:
Hizashi Yamada- I really love Hizashi and connect to him on quite a few levels. He’s a super loyal friend and is very intelligent. I like that he’s not all forgiving like the rest of the main cast and is the only one willing to bring up tough issues. I even like that he’s so passive, as it's unique inner conflict for male characters. (Shame we don’t get to see him overcome it, or how much it affects his life.) He’s not a pure ball of sunshine, but he’s a kind cloak of moonlight that I adore.
Aizawa Shouta- I don’t usually like broody boys, but I like quiet ones with an air of mystery and strength. I really like his protective nature as well as his dadzawa moments. He’s also a fun foil to the wild energy around him. It’s also really neat that despite having a cool quirk, Aizawa has to work to overcome his weaknesses by using a creative support item and just working hard.
Toshinori Yagi- Unlike Hizashi, All Might really is a sweet, pure, and genuine ball of sunlight. He is a giant teddy bear that I just want to hug and squeeze. And his scenes with Izuku are the best! I love what Hori did with his character. He’s strong, smart, and an all-around golden boy, but isn’t perfect and makes a lot of mistakes. However, instead of ignoring them he acknowledges his mistakes and uses them to grow and do better. I really love Hori is showing that while All Might can’t be a hero anymore, his life isn’t over and still has meaning.
Tsuyu Asui- My favorite Class 1-A girl. I like that she’s a sweet, friendly girl who is empathetic to those around her, but knows when to use her head. I like that she’s a lawful good character and is willing to call out even her friends for thinking they should break the law and place themselves in danger because of their personal feelings. That being said, she isn’t heartless, far from it. Among the cast, she seems to be the most empathetic right along with Todoroki. (She’s also the one I like the most with Dadzawa.)
Nemuri Kayama- A lot of people are turned off by her “ahem” personality but I don’t mind it. I like female characters who aren’t afraid of their sexual nature—as long as they don’t force it on others. I really like her character in Vigilantes where she’s a sweet woman who tries to help others and is a good friend to Aizawa. I do think she’s underused, however, especially since they decided to kill her off in the main story and try to play it for high drama.
Highly Like:
Izuku Midoriya- I love Izuku! He’s a sweet little angel who deserves better than he gets. The only reason he’s not higher is that he gets pushed to the background as the series goes on. Thus, we’re not allowed to see his internal conflict very often. Plus, the manga completely tossed out a core part of his character arc, which really hurt his development. Despite that, I do like Izuku a lot. I especially like his past with Bakagou. (Not in the way BakaDeku stans do.) I liked the fact he was bullied and hurt, but despite the world being against him, Izuku remained a sweet soul who did everything to protect others. Izuku’s past was a great setup for character development and an arc. Sadly, for whatever reason, we didn’t get to fully explore it.
Toru Hagakure- While I am very fond of Toru, it’s mostly the concept and potential of her character that I like more than anything she does as she’s very underused. That being said, the concept of her character is very appealing to me and I like what little we see of her. She’s a good fanfic character for me. (I want to write a story focusing on her but I have so many plot bunnies! >x<) I’m not too crazy about her ship with Ojiro though. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing bad about it and there are a lot of good things about it, but it gets zero emotions from me. Like, it’s there, but that’s it. I think it’s because even though they’re together they rarely interact. Sorry, this ship just isn't for me.
Knuckle Duster- It’s a shame he left so early as he was a very interesting character. His backstory was interesting and I like that despite not having a quirk or a license he became a hero just to save his daughter. And I like how he handled Stain.
Makoto Tsukauchi- A woman very good at managing things even in emergencies. I love how in control she usually is and how she reins Captain Sunshine in and helps him become a better hero. Plus, her relationship with her brother feels very real. They may be at odds but they still love and respect each other.
Fat Gum- He’s a funny character and I like his interactions with other characters. (Especially Tamaki and the Crab lady.) I really liked him in Vigilantes.
Queen Bee- The bee Quirk was very interesting and I love how it was utilized. It was an awesome concept for a villain and while the manga didn’t go as far as it could, the length it did go was interesting. The idea of using bees to make people lose control of their quirks was interesting. Tamao was—okay, but we don’t get to see her much as a person to judge. Queen Bee is a very scary villain.
Six- Honestly, I think Six would have been a better antagonist for Izuku (more on that—eventually). As is, Six is a cool villain with hella potential. True, he whines at times like Shiggy but he also does stuff and works for what he wants and doesn’t just demand everything. (True, he uses horrible tactics and throws massive tantrums when he fails, but still.) Plus, he just feels more natural and less forced in his actions.
Tenya Ida- I always have fun when I see him. He’s so straightforward, innocent, and hard-working. And I like that he tries to protect Izuku from Bakagou by placing himself between the two often. His serious nature is good for comedy as well. (I especially like him with Mei.) He just reminds me of a little brother who tries to help out by taking care of his family, despite being the youngest.
Ochako Uraraka- She’s cute and I like that she has a sweet connection with her family. Though I’ll admit I like her better before she tried apologizing to Tago in later chapters (I know, I know. Petty.). Like, baby; you did nothing wrong. All you told her was that if she hurt people, she had to be held accountable. And this was AFTER spending hours digging out injured people (and possibly dead bodies). I also love her costume design! I think it's adorable.
Mei Hatsume- Mei is a very fun girl and I love her energy and her passion as an inventor. There’s also something appealing about her ambition and manipulative nature. She wants to be a famed inventor and will use whatever tricks she has to and isn’t ashamed of it.
Inko Midoriya- I love that Inko isn’t a plucky anime girl, but a sweet, shy woman who is kind. And despite not being very strong emotionally or physically, she still called out All Might and U.A. as a whole for her son’s safety. I also like both her chubby and thin design. I think both are equally cute. However, her chubby design is unique as it’s cute, not played for jokes, and her assets aren’t exaggerated. She’s round like an egg and I like that. (She reminds me of a pangolin, though.)
Mirio Togata- He’s a mini-me done right. Unlike Shinsou who is basically diet Aizawa personality wise, Mirio may share traits with All Might, however, he is very much his own person. Mirio is a sweet senpai and I love how he can inspire others. And I’ll admit that his scenes with Eri are so sweet, I can actually stand seeing her when she’s with him. He is a good friend, a good hero, and a great big brother figure.
Tamaki Amajiki- Anxiety-filled, but I like his perception skills, his interactions with others, and how he still tries his best. He’s also just a sweet little elf.
Like:
Detective Tsukauchi- This is all thanks to his vigilante persona, otherwise he’d slip under the radar. He plays the everyday man very well.
Eijiro Kirishima- Eijiro is a sweet ball of sunshine and I like the idea of him turning Bakagou into decent person. (Shame he doesn’t do so, but that’s a topic for another day.) He a genuinely good guy who cares about others. What’s not to like?
Shoto Todoroki- I like his arc and his personality after Izuku helps him, but after that, he pretty much stays the same. However, I hate his hero costumes. He needs a better designer.
Momo Yoayorozu- I like that she’s an intelligent ingenue and they set up a decent arc with her, but it was barely focused on and solved too quickly. That being said she’s sweet and cute.
Neito Monoma- He’s fun and smart. I think he gets too much hatred. Usually, I hate arrogant characters but it works with him as he is always called out and his mean-spirited actions are not only not rewarded, but punished. It also helps that while he’s a bully to Class A, he’s sweet to his classmates. Plus his design is really cute.
All For One- So, he is between like and dislike. I like him because he’s the only one the manga isn’t going, “look I know he did bad things, but you have to understand; he was sad.” Plus, as a villain, he is actually kind of fun. Less so lately, but still. Anyway, I just love cunning villains with an elegant nature and a cocky attitude that makes their defeat all the sweeter. There’s also something else that draws me to him as a villain that I can’t quite identify. (I don’t like his “human” design, however. Dunno why just don’t.)
That being said, I don’t like him currently as he’s one of the reasons the manga is dragging on. Plus, I think that his plan with Shigaraki was overly complicated and kinda pointless. If he wanted to hurt All Might, he should have turned Nana into a Nomu and if he wanted a new body, the doctor could have crafted a specially made body. I dunno, I probably missing something. I know his interest in Shiggy seems to come from Shiggy’s hatred, but he cultivated that. And didn’t Shiggy forget his past before he got his muscle-up makeover? So he didn’t hate anything, he was just teenage angry. And why would AFO let Shiggy forget his past if that’s where most of his anger comes from? Okay, cards on the table I read the chapters focusing on Shiggy once, so I’m probably missing a hell of a lot.
The point being, I think AFO makes things more complicated than he needs to on himself. Still like him better than the rest of the villains.
Neural like:
Nezu- I like what we see and again, he has potential that was unexplored. (He was way too eager to crush his students though.)
Mineta Minoru- Like everyone I hate his perviness and the lack of punishment. (I feel that if you have to have an anime pervert their actions need to be extremely exaggerated and the reactions to those actions should be Tom and Jerry level violence.)
However, I like Mineta’s inner conflict and his personality can be entertaining—again, outside his pervy traits. Personally, I think he had potential to improve and that he’s over-hated.
Mt. Lady- I love her design and how unapologetic she is for fame and I like that she knows when to set her goals aside and help people.
Star and Stripes- We didn’t get to see a lot of her, but I like her concept and wouldn’t mind reading about her in a fanfic where she’s All Might’s adopted daughter and a big sister to Izuku.
Dislike:
Shinsou- Shinsou is a character that is right between irksome and dislike. His personality doesn’t appeal to me as he feels like diet Aizawa with Bakagou’s arrogance and Shoto’s monotone. Plus it REALLY annoys me that canon and fanon try to claim that he was discriminated against for having a villainous quirk, but we never see any proof of that, far from it. Everyone admires Shinsou and his quirk, the only one who gets worshiped more than him is Bakagou. He reminds me of Goob from “Meet the Robinsons.” This might be a result of his high insecurity and that he hates himself so much he can't tell how others really feel, but if that's the case it's not explored enough.
There’s also the fact that fans want to force him into everything with Aizawa and personally, I thought the relationship was okay at best. (This, of course, is petty of me and this is NOT me telling Shinsou fans they shouldn’t do this, it’s just something that annoys me personally.) For more info--search Shinsou critical on my page.
Twice- I feel bad for his past and how he dies, but other than that I do not care about him. And while I’ll probably get hate for this, Twice brought a lot of his troubles on himself. No, he didn’t deserve to be fired or to get a mark on his record, but he didn’t even try to get a job after he was fired. He just went straight to using his clones to commit criminal acts and then treated said clones like slaves till they rebelled. The latter I don’t blame him for as he had no idea each clone was sentient but I do blame him for the criminal acts he committed with his clones before that and all the acts he did with the LoV. Speaking of which, for someone who was supposed to be the heart of the villains but he has zero issues going to a camp to essentially murder children.
Irksome:
Eri- This is through no fault of her own, she just made of a bunch of tropes I hate personally, which summarized are; The overly tragic backstory, the power breaker powers, being forced into the story when there’s no need, no personality outside of being a sad woobie child / broken bird, and the Frozen effect. Again, none of this is her fault, it’s just a bunch of meta tropes I can’t stand and the only thing I like about her is that she has a cute design and her relationship with Mirio. For more information search Eri critical on my page.
Bakagou- If his writing was handled better I’d actually like Bakagou better, but as is it’s annoying how the manga treats him. He’s an arrogant brat who is never called out for being arrogant, just yells at everybody, and is stated to have the potential to be a hero when all he is is a good brawler and hurts more people than he helps. Plus, he tends to be forced into parts of the story where he’s not needed. And then there’s just the bullshit around him. I don’t care if you’re a Bakustan, you have to admit that the stuff in chapters 364-365 is insane even for a story about superheroes. (Search your feelings, you know this to be true!)
Dabi- I like his design and backstory, but other than that—we go up and down and around. I might feel better about him after I get some space, but for now, I just find him annoying.
Ugh!:
Shigaraki- A boring villain with an annoying personality. Honestly, he should have just been the first boss, then tossed aside in my opinion. Plus, like Eri, he is made up of meta tropes I really, REALLY hate. And, YMMV, his whole involvement in the story feels forced at times. The whole reason he’s the main antagonist is that he’s the grandson of All Might’s mentor which give a (space balls ref) vibe, ya know? Plus, for a guy who a world who wants to do whatever he wants there’s nothing he really seems to want. He has no goals except the ones AFO gives him and no real desires. Tago wants to do whatever she wants as well, but we know what she wants; to be accepted for who she is and drink all the blood she wants regardless of the consent issue or whether she kills someone.
To be fair, I believe that’s the point of his character but still. That all his desires are AFO who is taking him over, but they did that plot better with Six. Again, I believe Six would have been a better villain for the main manga and Shiggy should have been in Vigilantes as ironically Shiggy is a better contrast to Koichi. (More on that eventually.) As is, Shiggy and I don’t click and I find his personality annoying as hell.
Himiko Tago- Again, I feel bad that she never got the quirk therapy she needed but that doesn’t change the fact she is a self-absorbed terrorist who knew her action was wrong but did them anyway. I could forgive the first time she killed as that was a moment of passion after years of suppressing herself, and maybe even the second time, but after thirteen kills, she knew exactly what her actions were doing. Plus, it annoys me that she states that draining people of their blood and becoming them is how she shows she cares. Okay, so then why does she change back? Is there a time limit on her quirk? Plus, she talks about the people she “loves” so I guess her love was flimsy.
But what really sealed the deal was that she was staring at the consequences of her actions, seeing a city destroyed, people injured and dying, and hell, she even lost her friend, and yet her main focus was on herself. Then when she went to Ochako she wanted the poor girl to feel bad for her despite the fact
a) Ochako had spent hours trying to save people who were hurt and dying
b) Togo just her how she used Ochako’s quirk to murder someone
c)TAGO WAS PART OF THE REASON PEOPLE WERE HURT AND DYING!!
And yet despite All that, Ochako wasn’t even trying to hurt her! She called Tago out for her deeds and told her she had to accept the consequences of what she did. How fucking dare she?
Overhaul- I’ll keep it short as I don’t want to talk about him. I hated what he did to Eri and wish she rewound him out of existence. The only thing I liked about him was that he managed to knock Shiggy down a peg (before he lost his arms to him). Then when he came back, he was just pathetic. All in all, I hate him. End of story.

Agender! Shinsou and Dadzawa
Cw: transphobia, insecurities, hurt/comfort
Foster! Shinsou au, adoptive dad! Aizawa
Shinsou is.... different. With their eyebags that never seem to go away, their only friends at UA are some stray cats found near Aizawa and Hizashi's apartment, and being taken in by the 1-A teacher. Shinsou is also agender. No one knows, they can't. Shinsou's seen how people react to anyone in the trans community, they couldn't take it. Shinsou already hates this part of themselves, feeling broken and confused.
They were walking to lunch and heard someone yelling their name.
"Hey, shinsou!" Kaminari yelled, and ran up to them.
They smiles slightl, and lets kaminari cling to their side as he spouts out what happened in class.
"You would not *believe* what he did next! It was insane!"
Kaminari is loud, and excitable, and talks with his hands but Shinsou loves that about him. As the pair is turning the corner towards the lunchroom, Shinsou hears a few students whispering.
"Did you hear"s and "who knew UA would let those kinds in" passed through the empty corridor and Shinsou felt their heart sink. They knew who they were talking about, and they knew exactly what that meant for them as well. Ever since Kaminari came out as trans, there has been a huge wave of support but also bullying and harassment. To be honest, Shinsou thinks it affected them more than his electric friend. Kaminari started to walk faster. Keeping his head low he grabbed Shinsou's wrist,
"Come on, man or else we won't have time to eat!" He forces a smile and rushes into the lunchroom.
Shinsou just nods, and when the two are away from the kids whispering they stop and puts their hands on kaminari's shoulders, facing him.
"You know," they start, "they're stupid. You shouldn't listen to what they say. You're you, and they don't know you."
Shinsou gives their best reassuring smile, and kaminari gives one back, "I know, man. Let's go eat."
After they've gotten their food and sat at the table, conversations begin. Shinsou rarely participates in these, they prefer to sit and listen. Sometimes they nods, and that's enough for everyone.
"Well, as I was SAYING, Shinsou totally kicked ass today! He was so cool, I've never seen anyone get that close to pinning Aizawa- sensei! Did you see thag one kick he pulled?"
Shinsous eyes softened at the praise, but also felt their chest clench. They turn to their lunch, pushing it around the plate instead of eating it.
*god, how pathetic. It's not that big of a deal! It's just a word. Why am I so upset about this? Does it even matter? It would just be an inconvenience for them, anyways. I'm not special enough for them to just,, accept me like that. I'm not at all like kaminari.*
While Shinsou was deep in thought, they didn't realize they had started crying slightly. Only did they snap out of it when Kirishima put a hand on their shoulder.
"Hey, you okay?" Kirishima asked.
Shinsou furrows their brow, *are* they okay? The answer is probably not, and they stand so fast their legs hit the table and it shakes.
"I-" they look around, "I'll see you guys later," Shinsou grabs their bag and books it to Aizawas office area.
Shinsou doesn't bother knocking, and storms over to his adoptive dads desk while breathing erratically.
"..Toshi? What's going on?" Aizawa stands, coming around to look at Shinsou to see if they're injured.
"I-" shinsou looks at Aizawas face, "People were being mean to kaminari."
It's not exactly what they wanted to say, but it'll do. For now. Aizawa nods slowly, and motions for Shinsou to sit in a chair.
"Alright, what happened?" He crouches down so he's eye level with his son.
Shinsou explains what happened on the way to the lunchroom, and they start to shake. They start asking questions and mumbling too fast for Aizawa to hear, but he heard one thing.
"..what if I get treated like that, too?"
Aizawa's heart breaks at the sight of his son. He notices his hands are shaking, not really focused on the present, and how Shinsou looks *so* scared.
He hugs Shinsou, tight and grounding and Shinsou breaks. They start crying into his shoulder, hanging on and talking.
"It's not fair! It doesn't make sense, why? Why am I not normal?"
Aizawa pulls back and cups Shinsous face with his hands, "what do you mean, kid? What's going on?"
Shinsou breathes and says, "im agender."
Aizawa pauses, and for a few breaths no one says anything.
"Okay," aizawa says, "thank you for telling me. I can imagine how hard that must have been."
"Okay," shinsou croaks out, sniffing his nose.
"You are normal, Toshi. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you. Can you tell me what made you so upset?"
Shinsou does, and he truly feels seen and heard for the first time. They say how they prefer they/them pronouns, and how terrified they are of being harassed and picked on. How scared they are of their friends' reactions, how many nights they stayed awake googling different variations of "what is wrong with me".
"Toshi, look at me," Aizawa has a very serious look on his face that kinda makes Shinsou want to look away, but they don't.
"There is nothing, and I mean nothing, wrong with you. You are perfect," shinsou starts crying, "do you understand me? Perfect, toshi. I couldn't ask for a better kid. This is a part of you, a part that I will cherish and love just like I cherish and love the other parts of you. I'm so sorry you've been feeling so alone, but you aren't alone. I'm here for you, and so are your friends."
Shinsou feels as though this weight was taken off their chest, like they can finally breathe again.
Tell me what you think!! Also the recent love on my posts is INSANE and I truly appreciate all of it!! I get the biggest smile when I see someone's reblogged my work, so thank you so much!!!
I am taking requests, my asks should be on but if not then feel free to dm me with a request and I'll see what I can do!! I love writing, I haven't done it in a LONG while but I'm so excited to get back into it.

NIGHTGOWN ANON HERE omg what if im NIA? short for NIghtgown Anon :) maybe that could be a writing name for me? idk lol im shit at writing decent stories
- Poe x Artist Reader: Reader illustrates the covers for Poe's books (accidentally put boobs instead of books the first time haha)
- Poe x Cook Reader: You were the Guild's chef but now that it was abandoned, Poe hired you to cook for him!
- Poe x Doctor Reader: Aw man he got hurt. Don't worry! Doctor Reader is here to bandage him up!
- Poe x Retail Reader: Reader didn't choose Retail. Retail chose Reader.
- Poe x Vet Reader: Karl
- Poe x Idol Reader: Now it's random
- Everyday you shower Poe with face kisses to wake him up, he gets extremely flustered, even though you've been doing it for years. You keep doing it just to wake him up
- Poe is like Reader's shadow at parties, constantly clinging to her because of his shy nature.
- Reader and Poe both die in a corner at parties because they're shy.
- The reason Poe was able to meet Reader was because he hired someone to go outside and do errands for him (ex: get food)
omg my brain is melting i have so many more ideaassss but THEYRE NOT COMINNNGGG
THAT'S IT DID YOU SEE I USED PROPER CAPITALIZATION(KINDA) THIS TIME YEAH? im so cool. HAVE A GREAT DAY MY LOVE! TAKE CARE! ❤️
okay so first of all NIA is SUCH A CUTE NAME OMG it kinda sounds like a j-pop star name lmaoaooaoaoaa anyways. you're nia now i decided. you don't have a say in the matter /j anyways i have things to say about all of these.
poe x artist reader who creates illustrations for his novels lowkey gives me Dorian Gray vibes? like imagine reader going to a library or a bookstore or something one day and seeing one of poe's books and on the cover it names the author and illustrator side by side and it hits them...T-T also what if reader was originally a fanartist of his books or something and he saw their fanart and he liked it so much that he hired them to be his official artist and reader just combusts lol (sidenote i'm sure poe has some great man milkers)
poor reader who was just hired to cook for a bunch of mean bougie people and is now stranded and jobless in another country T-T fortunately they still have poe. i get the feeling that poe is secretly pretty picky with his food but he's just too shy to say anything most of the time. ranpo eventually comes along and you totally get 'he asked for no pickles'd lmao. STOP WHAT IF YOU DECIDED TO TEACH POE HOW TO COOK (cus it's just easier than having to modify your recipes to accommodate him all the time) and you have like one of those cliche foodfight moments <3 and of course ranpo is your resident taste tester. (IMAGINE KARL PUPPETEERING POE LIKE IN RATATOUILLE STOP)
i can't come up with a scenario atm where poe would get hurt because he's a paranoid boi. but maybe like ranpo accidentally did it or something EITHER WAY. you are his little doctor <3 maybe you're like a training doctor for the ada under the guidance of doctor yosano? there's also a bit of a forbidden love aspect because a relationship between a doctor and a patient is unethical afaik so ooooo drama. maybe you're yosano's sister as well, idk make it even more dramatic lol (protective dadzawa moment)
currently trying to get a job in retail atm, never been there but from what i've heard it's an absolute nightmare. poor reader is probably getting harassed by karens each day and poe is her very calm and quiet respite :) he just seems to easy to assist in a store, even if he does stutter a bit. plus you can lowkey take a couple minutes to just hang out with him under the guise of 'helping a customer' akjsskkssjsjsjks. reader tells poe that she's really just there for the money, saving up for a nicer place or something, and poe's like 'i can buy a place for you /gen' because let's face it he's rather out of touch with us lower middle class folks. reader is like. well then
imagine you're a vet just vibing at work and one day some 1800s gothic emo author bursts in with his pet raccoon in shambles because he thinks said pet raccoon is seriously sick or something. nah turns out karl just ate a spider or something and threw it back up (definitely not something my dog does). and although you did no work whatsoever poe is so grateful for your help (he might cry). whenever karl gets even a little unwell from then on poe comes straight to you because he's always wracked with worry for his lil guy T-T BOOM you two are in love because of a raccoon
poe x idol reader THIS one right here gave me a lot of thinks to think. either you were friends before you became an idol or he was just a fan of your music but like you two somehow meet and it's just funny cus...old fashioned author guy and bubbly trendy idol...it would be so nice of you if you got poe a little pair of earplugs to wear at your concerts when it gets too loud but so he can still enjoy your singing <3 he gets backstage passes and all that special treatment and stuff. also is it really an idol story without some kind of arc involving dating rumours and drama? technically you're both kinda famous cus author and singer- but imagine if your fandoms clashed and were always fighting nooooooo T-T
this one where you kiss poe awake is SOOOOO so cute and i wanna write it now. you and poe could be old ass great grandparents together by this point but he'd still get shy when physical affection <333333 but like he's not complaining. what better way is there to wake up than a kiss from your loved one? he thinks it's very romantic and probably writes poems about it
i personally would have no problem with poe clinging to me (not only am i in love with him but i'm clingy and touchstarved myself) so everyone else would just have to DEAL WITH IT if they wanna talk to me but poe is also there. by the end everyone would know who he is lol (also they probably think karl is cool too)
now if reader and poe were BOTH shy...tbh two seconds in they'd just look at each other and decide to leave snksjakdhakjh if you guys don't know anyone else there then why stay? plus parties aren't really your scene anyway, maybe a cafe or library date would be better for the two of you. You'd have a lot more time and privacy for things like that <3
so like presumably the relationship between poe and assistant!reader would be mostly business, but of course a little friendly as well. so of course RANPO (or dazai lol) has to come into the picture and probably makes some maid joke and that gets poe thinkin...thoughts...about maid outfitssss~ maybe he buys one for youuuuuuu~ and maybe he thinks it looks really pretty on youuuu~ tbh this is mostly just a self indulgent pwp prompt lmaoo
this. was so long. i hope you liked this stuff nia pls feel free to add on if you have anymore ideas <3 ALSO YES I SEE YOUR CAPITALS AND I'M VERY PROUD 🌸🌸🌸🌸 I HOPE YOUR DAY IS SPLENDID AND YOUR BRAIN WORKS MORE FERVENTLY THAN EVER

The last day of class, right after our finals, we were all ready for summer break. In all honesty, it wasn't even classes, it was more attendance and free for alls.
I rubbed Mina's back to comfort her as she cried about missing camp, my concerns only rising as Denki started rambling about what I caught about 'summer school hell'. The blond turned and poked Midoriya right in the eyes. I gently grabbed his wrist and pulled his arm away with a shake of my head.
"Sorry, not cool." He said, looking in my direction. I rubbed my head in discomfort of not being able to keep up with the conversations, only realizing that my Dad came in after Denks pointed it out.
"Once the bell rings you should be in your seats. The only one who has an excuse right now is Onryo." We all sat down quickly, not wanting to aggravate him further. "Morning. Unfortunately, there are a few of you who did not pass your final exams." Dad spoke, making sure to keep his mouth uncovered for me. "So, when it comes to the training camp in the woods. Everyone is going!" Dad said with a maniacal wide eyed smile. I broke out laughing at the look on his face, only quieting down when he sent me a look. "Yeah. The good news is that no one bombed the written exam. Five failed the practical badly. Two teams, of course, and then Sero failed as well." I looked to my friend and sent him an apologetic smile. "Allow me to explain. For the practical battles, the teachers made sure to leave a way for the students to win. Otherwise, you never would have stood a chance. We were interested in observing how you each worked together and approached the task at hand." Dad interpreted Ojiro's question about teachers not holding back so I wouldn't be completely lost in the lecture. "That was just to get you on edge." I scoffed at the comment and received a look, effectively shutting me up. "Besides, the training camp will focus on building your strength. Those who failed need those lessons the most. We were never going to separate you." Dad smiled wide again and I cover my mouth to prevent laughing again. "That was just a logical deception we used."
"'A logical deception?!'" Four of my classmates yelled simultaneously. Iida angled his body when he stood up so I could keep up and I was silently grateful for it.
"Mr. Aizawa, this is the second time you've lied to us. Aren't you afraid we'll lose faith in you?" Iida asked completely appalled.
"That's a good point. I'll consider it. But I wasn't lying to you about everything. Failure is failure. We've prepared extra lessons for the five of you. Frankly, they'll be far tougher than what you'd face at summer school." I could almost feel the five pale at the comment. "I have one last thing I would like to address today. Concerning what you all heard during Onryo, Bakugou, Midoriya and All Mights match yesterday. The knowledge of me and Present Mic will not be allowed outside of this classroom. I will not be taking any questions and that does not mean you ask Present Mic either. If Onryo or Hitoshi are comfortable, then they can answer whatever they deem okay. What All Might did yesterday was a complete breech of privacy, I understand that some villains can gain access to that information, however since he is a teacher here and a pro-hero, he had no right to do that. Understood?" The class erupted in a synchronized 'yes sir' and he left.
Once lunch rolled around, I found myself in Nedzu's office. My parents sat on the couch, me standing awkwardly beside them and All Might standing off to Nedzu's side.
"Shouta, I see you've called a meeting for student mistreatment. I have to say, I'm not pleased with how many complaints I've gotten from these three and so far they've all held to be true." All Might went to speak but Nedzu held up a paw, effectively silencing him. "Shouta told me what happened during the final exam. However Yagi, he didn't need to. I already saw and heard what happened along with medical reports from Recovery Girl. Now, you already knew that you were having to tread carefully since this is why you received a warning and a demotion. I would like to make something very clear to you right now, if it weren't for the commission, you would be terminated right now. I had to sign a contract with them, not you, and I don't exactly want to go to court, as I'm sure you wouldn't either. So I will be placing you on teaching aid for all available summer school classes, which means no summer camp. Once regular classes start, you will be placed on suspension until you're allowed to start as a teachers aid once more. Is there any confusion with your punishment, Yagi?"
"No sir." All Might said, blatantly fearful of the principal.
"Tsukare, is there anything you would like to say?" I nodded and took a breath to reign myself in.
"You had no right to say anything you did. You knew the whole class was watching and listening, and you still decided to out my parents. Nobody knew, for privacy and protection, nobody has known, outside of the staff here, about our relation. Especially after the attack at the USJ. Nobody was allowed to know and you knew this, we even told you in front of the principal for that very same reason. It was immoral of you to out them. I've tried reasoning with myself. I have. And I suppose on surface level, if you were a real villain, despite after your recent actions that's feeling a lot closer to the truth then it should, a villain could get that information easiest. It's legal paperwork, it's not profoundly difficult. Nobody knows about... about my attempt." My eyes watered and I looked to the side, taking a minute to calm down. All Might took a step forward and said something I couldn't make out. "No, you're going to listen to what I have to say because you always want to know so bad why I don't care for you. Nobody knows, the only other teachers here who know are Midnight and Nedzu. Midoriya knows. That's it outside of family. Anyone else who does is because it's on a professional level. And nobody knows because my name wasn't released since I was a minor. I know my parents called in a favor with Tsukauchi that night. But you had no right-" My voice broke from all the frustration building up in me. "You had no fucking right to bring that up, a villain would have to dig a lot deeper then surface level if they wanted to get my name for that incident. You only had the opportunity of knowing because you were indirectly involved. You had no right bringing up a topic you know is private and sensitive during an exam as leverage."
"But it was exceptional during your fathers exam with how he reacted?" He asked, somehow thinking he had a valid point.
"See, there is still a very large difference. Jirou and Koda accidentally used his phobia of bugs against him. Not intentionally. They also genuinely apologized. And quite frankly, I didn't see any other teachers break bones of their students. Or make them violently ill. Or throw them completely through brick buildings. Or crush them into the ground. You broke my arm and three ribs. You almost broke Midoriya's back. You threw myself and Bakugou through buildings." I stared at him and waited for him to say something.
"I'm sorry."
"Thank you, but I don't forgive you." He looked at me astonished.
"Young Tsukare, I don't think you understand how apologies work."
"I understand them just fine, I'm not obligated to forgive you. Aside from that, your apology was insincere. You don't care. I'm going to assume that it's partially your bigoted views since now you're informed that I'm gay after you made an improper assumption that could fall under the code of conducts regulations of sexual harassment. But it's also probably because if your boss and my parents weren't here, you wouldn't apologize. You don't see anything you've done as wrong or improper. The only thing you truly care about is your reputation. Nothing more. You would rather uphold your image then admit when you're in the wrong. I've already forgiven you for not doing something at the foster center. But I don't like you. I don't like your arrogance, your ignorance or your lack of teaching ability. I don't like your attitude. I don't like your half assed apology. So thank you for the apology, but I don't forgive you." The number one hero looked at me flabbergasted and said something as he was looking down but I didn't care. "Nedzu, am I allowed to leave for lunch please?" He nodded once, I hugged my parents and left.
Instead of going to lunch like I should have, I went to the sensory room. I asked Chiyo to send out an email to my teachers for the rest of the day saying if I wasn't present I was in the sensory room and I'll try to make it to class. I swear, that lady deserves the world.
I stayed in there until the end of the day, overwhelmed after the conversation with All Might. Dad came and had me get in the car so we could take a trip to the doctors.
Tsukababes Pokémon
From Pikachu: Where did Onryo go??
From Espeon: He's in the sensory room.
From Boldore: He mentioned that yesterday, what is it?
From Pikachu: It's this really cool room where you can relax and collect yourself, I have access built into my student ID
From Espeon: That's pretty much what it is. It's there for people who are neurodivergent or have other diagnoses so they can relax when certain things get too much. Onryo essentially made it.
From Pikachu: Wait, seriously?!?!
From Pikachu: What do you mean he made it???
From Espeon: When the room was first made, Nedzu himself asked for Onryo to be his main coordinator so that he could be steered in the right direction. If you ask my brother, he'll tell you that room is like his baby.
From Whismur: That room IS my baby
From Pikachu: That's so cool!
From Boldore: What does it look like in there??
From Whismur: I don't have any pictures but one of these days I'll show you
From Scraggy: That's still really cool Tsuka
From Venomoth: Yeah Tsukababes! That's so cool!!
From Whismur: I guess, I set it all up years ago
From Boldore: Yeah bro but nobody gets asked by Nedzu for help, that's an achievement
From Rayquaza: Yeah!!
From Venomoth: Oh yeah, Tsubabes, you weren't there but the class is planning on a shopping trip tomorrow! Can you make it??
From Whismur: Where at?
From Boldore: The mall! You in man?
From Whismur: Uh, let me ask my dad
From Whismur: Toshi you're coming too
"Hey Dad, the class was thinking about going on a shopping trip together to get ready for the camp. Is it okay if Toshi and I go?" He thought it over for a minute.
I suppose. Just let me and Sunshine know what time you both get there and when you're coming home. You both know your curfew and what to do if something happens.
"Don't get involved unless it's immediate self defense and call you and or Pops." He nodded once and I smiled brightly, excited for a large hang out.
From Whismur: Hitoshi and I both have a yes!
From Espeon: Why do you have to drag me out to social interactions?
From Rayquaza: But it could be fun!
From Espeon: Fine.
I chuckled softly at his change of attitude because of our green haired friend and got out of the car. Dad dealt with the receptionist and kept me informed of everything.
"-llo, Tsukare— see you again." I gave the doctor a bored look.
"Hi, sorry but I can't hear you and when you don't look at me, I can't really read your lips. That was easy enough to fill in the gaps but you also blocked off my Dad from my line of sight so he wasn't able to interpret." Dr. Kenta looked at my Dad in shock, clearly forgetting about my way with words since our last visit. Unfortunately, Hosu is a bit of a trip for a single doctors appointment so we have to see the one closer to us. He was an older man who was balding with large glasses and seemed like he wanted to retire five years ago.
"My apologies. It's nice to see you again Tsukare. What brings you here today?" I licked my lips nervously, not enjoying doctors in the slightest.
"During my practical exam for my finals yesterday, two large explosions went off around me. One of them was directly next to my head. My hearing aids broke, I think the speakers got busted but my hearing feels worse. More dull and muffled then before." Dr. Kenta sat down and started typing at his computer. He started talking and thankfully, Dad was able to interpret for me.
"It looks as though you have a new set of hearing aids ready, actually."
"My spouse and I made sure he would have an immediate back up since he's in the hero course at U.A." The doc nodded, not fully invested in what I was saying and it showed.
"Why do you think your hearing has gotten worse?" I sent the doctor a defeated look.
"That's kind of a redundant questions seeing as I told you it's quieter and more muffled. That would be like if you went to an optometrist and said your eyes were getting worse and the doctor asked you why you think that." I could see Dad in the corner of my eyes hiding his smirk.
"Very well then. Let me just take a peak in and see what we're working with." I nodded once and watched carefully as he came to my right side and checked the inside of my ear, then my left. "Alright, so your left ear is still the same. Last time you were here, we did imaging of your ears. So the left ear looks the same." He pulled up the images on his computer, Dad interpreting for me. "See, the scar tissue and aggravation and the cochlea still look the same. However, your right ear, you can see some more scarring and keratin. More irritation. I assume this is the ear that was next to the large blast?" I nodded quickly, relieved that he finally started taking things seriously. "I'm going to estimate based on the imaging that your hearing is now around twenty percent in your right ear." I took a deep breath and nodded. "Did you happen to bring your old hearing aids with you?" I dug threw my bag and grabbed them, gently handing them to the doctor in their case. "I'll send these down to the lab and see what we can do to fix them. The payment will be charged to your insurance. When you check out at the desk, ask the receptionist about your hearing aids, she'll give them to you." I nodded and watched as he left.
Onryo? Are you okay?
I'm fine.
Onryo.
I'm fine, Dad. I want to be a hero. I chose to go into the hero course. I was bound to lose my hearing eventually. Shit happens.
I'm not even going to lecture you for your language. It's justified right now. But let's go home.
I hopped off the cot and followed him to the reception desk, then to the car. I didn't bother putting my hearing aids in, after the day I've had, the silence is almost welcoming.
Once we got home, I went upstairs and changed into a tank top and sweats, setting everything down gently. I waved to my family, pet the cats and went down to the basement. I settled in front of the drums and slowly started a basic beat to get the rhythm going. The vibrations hummed through me, shaking my body down to my heart, I couldn't really hear what I was playing but it didn't matter. For once, I could feel something. I felt more alive then I have in a while and that's all I wanted in the moment. I lost myself in the music, freestyling with nothing in mind other then letting out my pent up stress.
Once I finished the riff, I ran a hand through my curls and caught Hitoshi at the bottom of the stairs recording on his phone. He smirked and put it away.
(Heres a link if any of you wanna listen to what I pictured)
Feel better?
Yeah, when did you get down here?
Probably two, three minutes ago. Check your phone.
I sighed but picked up my phone and watched messages come in at a fast pace.
Tsukababes Pokémon
From Espeon: 1 video attachment
From Espeon: Went downstairs to find him jamming out.
From Boldore: WOAH! SO MANLY! I DIDNT KNOW HE COULD PLAY DRUMS!
From Venomoth: I might need him to wife me up after this, everything keeps proving he would be the best boyfriend
From Scraggy: Wait, amigos, back it up
From Scraggy: Look, he doesn't have his hearing aids in
From Pikachu: 😳😳
From Scraggy: Breathe Denks, stop staring at his arms
From Pikachu: I never said I was!
From Scraggy: You never said you weren't
From Boldore: Wait, he didn't have his ears in?
From Rayquaza: I haven't seen him play drums in a while! If he's taking instrument requests, he should play the guitar!
From Espeon: He isn't taking requests.
From Venomoth: But how can he hear what he's playing without his ears in?
From Espeon: He can hear it a little bit, but mostly he's going off of the vibrations he feels from playing it.
From Boldore: That's so cool!!
From Pikachu: Okay, I'll be the one to say it
From Pikachu: That was fucking hot
From Espeon: Dude that's my brother.
From Rayquaza: Kami that's my best friend.
From Espeon: Then what am I?
From Rayquaza: I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset you! I meant you both are!
From Espeon: Relax. I was just messing with you.
From Rayquaza: Right!
From Venomoth: Hmmm, interesting
From Scraggy: Mina, leave it alone
From Espeon: What?
From Whismur: We'll talk later Toshi
From Whismur: But Mina, leave it alone unless said otherwise, okay?
From Venomoth: Fineeeee
From Whismur: And thanks but I don't see how I was apparently hot
From Pikachu: It was, did you not watch it??
From Whismur: I watched the video, I just don't see how it was hot
From Scraggy: Tsuka, that was almost Roki level hot
From Whismur: I just don't see it?
What did Mina and Izuku mean?
She could tell he likes you.
What?
Yeah. He didn't want to friend zone you but it's clear he doesn't want to risk making you uncomfortable.
My brother stared at me with wide eyes and sat down on the bottom step.
I quickly snapped a picture and sent it to the group chat.
From Whismur: I broke him
From Rayquaza: What happened???
From Venomoth: Interesting, very interesting
From Whismur: I filled him in on something
From Whismur: Don't worry about it :)
From Rayquaza: I feel like I should be scared
From Boldore: Same bro
I looked up from my phone and saw Pops standing behind Toshi.
Do I want to ask?
Probably not.
Alright. Wanna have a jam sesh little listener? It's been a minute since we've had one.
Sure.
Alright, get back on drums, I'll hop on guitar and follow your lead. Coolio?
I gave him a thumbs up and went back on my stool, watching him get his favorite guitar and check that it's tuned.
After a minute, I started on the drums again, playing a similar beat to earlier and feeling the extra vibration from Pops playing his electric guitar.
We communicated through subtle head nods for who was about to get a solo, when to pick up the beat and when to slow it down. For a moment, I felt like a kid again, playing my first full riff with him in the basement and falling in love with music all over again.
When we stopped, we looked over to see Hitoshi recording again and Dad standing beside him with a soft smile on his face.
"Hey. How much did you see?" I asked Dad.
"Oh, I saw all of it and your brother is sending me the videos later." I jokingly rolled my eyes, set my drumsticks down and rolled my shoulders back.
"We haven't played in a while little listener, I've missed it. Maybe one of these days you'll finally let me bring you on my radio show." I grimaced and shook my head.
"I just, don't really know how I would feel playing in front of people. Even if they aren't physically there, yknow?" Pops nodded, walking over and ruffling my hair.
"I know, little listener. But if you ever change your mind, just know I'll gladly bring you on." I nodded and smiled softly.
"Do either of you want me to grab you something at the mall tomorrow?" Dad shook his head and looked at Pops. "Sunshine was just saying earlier how he needs some more hair ties, if you see any would you mind grabbing them?" I gave him a thumbs up and Pops gave me an awkward hug over the drum set. "There was something else we wanted to talk to you both about." Toshi and I looked at our Dad curiously. "You and Sunshine got invited to I-Island, and he was told that we're all welcome to go. Would you both like to?" I rapidly nodded my head, excited at the offer.
"Yeah, that sounds cool." My brother monotoned back.
"Alright, we'll let the commission know and we all have to dress nice one day unfortunately. So I'll let you know what needs to be packed for that. It's in four days." I gave him a thumbs up before we all went back upstairs to relax, finding time to enjoy school being out for a little bit.

Swallow the Stars | MHA Fic | Midoriya-centric (Fic Rec)
basically izuku has a eldritch god hosting his body sorta "Or, the story where Izuku is forced to be the host of an eldritch god, and Aizawa is more than willing to take him in and keep him safe."
aNYWAY- if this doesnt deserve to be recommended i dont know what is
its almost done, all thats left is the epilogue (left off at 45, so sorry if it seems like im too emotional over this)
theres hitoshi x midoriya
uhh... it isnt technically spoilers since its mentioned in the summary, but uhh yknow those lab fics. experiment. abuse. yknow ..-
and well if sorta dark themes arent your piece of cake then this might not be good for you???
on the other hand i am in LOVE with this story. i would love to find more like it, and stuff related??? ALSOOO how he does the thing reminds me of chuuyas ability from bsd when he uses corruption
i wont say exactly what, if you know you know and you'll see the similarities. if you dont, you dont
but shut up its cool
also katsukis not really an asshole? well not any less than he is usually i mean lol, i just think hes had some nice character development
of course theres dadzawa
and just.. theres i dont know where to start if im going to be honest lmfao, just give it a read. if you dont like it then thats fine
anyway basically hes kinda overpowered, or as overpowered as you can be as the host of a god

As much as I love teachers like Aizawa and Present Mic and Midnight and AM and Thirteen, I have to admit, NONE of the teachers are entirely competent. Ik we like to joke about AM being a shitty teacher, but I don’t think there is a SINGLE teacher at UA that has an ACTUAL teaching degree, including Aizawa. I’m pretty sure all of them are just hired pro-heroes. Everyone talks about how bad of a teacher AM is, but ALL the teachers can be small brain™️ sometimes.

hey hey do you mayhaps have any fic recs for fics where we can see more of the details of the hero society? idk how to explain it but something like razzmatazz by xylophones length of the fic or ships or the rating don't really matter to me. its just really interesting to see peoples takes on the functioning of the hero society. and also if the premise of two fics feels similar that's fine rec both of them, just any recs you have on this would be great!
- 🍀
Worldbuilding of Hero Society? Quirk Science? You mean my favorite brands of fic ever? ON IT, BOSS!
Switchblade- I will rec this a thousand times and a thousand times more. goes a lot into the details of underground heroes, the MLA and the beginning of quirk rights, the underworld in general, and so many other cool things. Izuku gets kidnapped for one week and has no memory of the whole week. The fic is about piercing together the events that happened to him through cryptic dreams and the actions of those around him while balancing a good school/work life. Also includes some fun perks like early Bakugou apology/redemption, Ojirou and Shouji friendship, and so many other fun cryptic things like snowglobes, slime mold, and shapeshifting.
Know you can be a Hero (Cause we've seen you do it)- Izuku vounteers at a quirkless clinic. It goes into some worldbuilding with quirkless folks. Its not particularly my cup of tea because I prefer a more nuanced recognition of quirkless folks, but I personally still enjoyed it and the cute "omakes." Plus, the Dadzawa and Dadmight is adorable.
Sum of All (And by them driven)- Gonna be honest- I haven't actually read this all the way through, but it was recced to me by a dear friend and I trust their judgement. It's an AU but includes a lot of worldbuilding that strikes my fancy.
An education in Interruption- I consider this required reading (along with "Learning Curve") for anyone looking to get into worldbuilding surrounding quirks, and also anyone looking for creative fic recs! It's a self insert where you're a teacher at a school for kids with "villainous" quirks, or quirks that can cause disasters if left unchecked. It has a very good outlook on society in general, specifically for those who might not be considered lucky in the way of quirks and how they think of certain things. It's really cool! (there's also a character sheet you may need to reference from time to time)
Let's finish what we've started- It's Debilitation Quirkless Disorder awareness day, where people from all over social media share their stories and experiences struggling with DQD. Social Media fic
Debilitating Quirk Disorder (DQD)- A blanket term to encompass an assortment of unique genetic anomalies that arose soon after the dawn of quirks. This condition is easily summarized as when a person’s quirk, quirk functions, or quirk side-effects are overtly harmful to the owner.
In the Shade of a Sunflower- I'm not sure if it's really ok to rec my own fics in these types of posts, but I will anyway! Its a collection of short stories featuring Izuku experiencing Just Quirkless Things(tm) like Appendicitis, getting your wisdom teeth out, and eating hot peppers without dying.
See it all in Bloom- Obviously I have recced this before, but I really can't get enough of it. The hopefulness of society as a whole makes me very happy, so I reread it often. Oneshot collection featuring class 1-A ten years after graduation.
Learning Curve- The second part of your required reading for this subject. Bounces back between a lesson Aizawa gave in class about the basics of quirk science and what humans as a whole know about it, and seeing the lesson put into action when they're kidnapped by scientists wanting to study their quirks. Includes some great Dadzawa moments. In particular I really like the way the POV changes and how it's written in general. Written by @pocketramblr so you know this shit is good.
I also have a few more recs in my fic collection on AO3 if you want to dig through more options.
Remember to leave a comment on all of these nice fics! The authors worked really hard to prepare them for you, so remember to say thank you!

Father Aizawa HCs
⚪So first off DADZAWA ⚪He is protective of his female students and wouldn't mind giving Mineta a piece of his mind. ⚪Doesn't give a shit when Yuga is a traitor he is his problem child, he was forced he didn't have a choice ⚪Tries his best to make sure Yuga is still fine. ⚪Gives zero shit about people's opinions. ⚪Has a whole classroom in which Class -1A can relax. ⚪Will, when I say will he will bash people or tell them to mind their business if he finds people bullying his problem children. ⚪If they didn't get the message, be ready for an angry Dadzawa. ⚪Last time he saw Midoriya broke his bones again. ... 'My PrObLeM cHiLd hAs BrOkEn HiS BoNeS' The poor man got a heart attack- ⚪Reasons why he is ageing. ⚪Let's Bakugou vent to him. ⚪Ok, but he was really angry when he got to know that Bakugou told Midoriya to jump- ⚪No one had seen him so pissed- ⚪All Might was scared.Shit.Oh shit. ⚪Deku was sent to therapy, while Bakugou was scolded for hours although Bakugou grumbled it didn't mean anything to him it did. ⚪Anyways happier parts- ⚪Eri and Kota are already adopted by the whole Class 1A and him. ⚪They also had Father's Day arranged for Aizawa ⚪He tore up- ⚪His bonding time with Todoroki? Making soba etc the best part was he bad mouthed Endeavour too- ⚪In a nutshell Dadzawa is cool.

For @biaz5548 prompt, chats between training with Aizawa and Shinsou! Thanks so much for being patient! 💛
Rated G, dadzawa and shinson
“Sensei?” Shinsou begins one summer morning, the heat already thrumming through Shouta’s veins even at the early hour.
Shouta looks over at the boy who sits beside him, a carbon copy with his legs drawn up and arms thrown loosely over his knees. His fingers twitch and fiddle and Shouta thinks it interesting that he won’t look over at him even as he addresses him. Shouta lets his answering silence wash over them both, comfortable and familiar as the older man brings his foot towards his body, stretching his hips comfortably as they rest between rounds. They’ve been going at it hard, trying to get Shinsou used to the rigors of hero training, and Shouta is more than willing to say the boy has done well so far.
As expected, eventually the silence gives way to words.
“Do you…I guess I mean– Do you have…? No, that wouldn’t be it, of course you would have, everyone does–” Shinsou begins to ramble to himself. Shouta is mildly amused to find that this is not unexpected. At length Shinsou seems to settle on just what he wants to say. “What’s your favorite food?”
The question takes Shouta by surprise, but even more so does the look of earnestness that blankets Shinsou’s face as he turns to look at him. Slowly, Shouta unfurls his leg until they both stretch before him where he sits on the ground. He feels his lips purse in thought.
Where is this coming from?
“Shoyu ramen, but only from a specific place I first discovered back in my broke, trainee days,” Shouta says easily. There is a stifling breeze making its way across the UA grounds, irritating in its incapability to cool anyone down. He turns to the boy and smirks. “You were probably expecting something along the lines of jelly packets, weren’t you?”
Shinsou’s sweat-damp skin comes alive with a bewildered expression as his hand comes to scratch at the back of his own neck. “Uh, no, not really. I just…well I didn’t know, did I? I guess I had hoped no one’s favorite food was jelly packets,” he says sheepishly.
“You got me there.”
Shinsou takes a breath. “And, what about color?”
Shouta quirks up an eyebrow.
“Sorry, I mean what’s your favorite color,” he corrects.
Shouta takes a moment to answer this one, eyeing the boy with a steady gaze. Shinsou is obviously uncomfortable under his watchful eye, but far better than he used to be, in the beginning of their…relationship? Agreement? Shouta still isn’t sure what to call it most days. All he knows about it is that he feels a certain tug, a connection he finds comes easily with almost all of the children he teaches. The curse of having a soft heart, Yamada would say.
“Yellow.”
The boy smiles slightly. “Is that why your sleeping bag is yellow?”
“The sleeping bag is yellow because that was the first one I could find that I thought was comfortable, but it is a nice coincidence, I suppose.” Yellow reminds him of the golden buttons on his UA uniform gleaming on his first day of highschool, of meeting his best friend, of the faded collar his childhood cat used to wear.
Of his goggles that hang around his neck when he’s in uniform, a reminder both of duty and something far heavier.
The breeze causes the ends of his hair to tickle just at the edge of his chin. He scratches absently.
“There’s not much yellow around your apartment that I’ve seen,” Shinsou says, almost as if to himself. “I- I mean, not that there should be, I’m not telling you how to decorate your house–”
Shouta interrupts his stuttering with a wave of his hand. “I know kid, relax,” he says amusedly, a huff of laughter exiting through his nose. “That’s just because I can’t decorate, I don’t think that will come as a surprise. How often do you see me wear anything other than my uniform and the same monochrome black outfit? The less choice the better in my opinion—variety is not always the spice of life.” Shouta enjoys streamlining an otherwise stressful existence; why make it harder with extra decisions when he already must make those of the life-or-death variety regularly?
“Those pink sweatpants aren’t monochrome.”
Shouta whips around, eyes wide. “I thought you said you didn’t see those?” He eyes the boy suspiciously.
“Kinda hard not to, sensei. You were just that much too slow closing your door, I guess.”
Oh, they’re teasing now.
“I’ll remember this, kid. If it ever gets out that I own such a thing, I will know where it came from and there will be swift retribution, mark my words,” Shouta deadpans, but even so he sees Shinsou’s mouth wobbling from his attempt to not burst out laughing. “Swift is my middle name.”
“Yamada-sensei said you don’t have one, so I don’t think that’s true.”
“Well aren’t we sure of ourselves today?”
And even as he says it, he marvels at the exchange between them right now.
Seeing Shinsou like this, comfortable in his own—slightly embarrassed—way, when at first it had been like pulling teeth to get the kid to talk to him in any capacity other than ‘yes sensei’ and ‘no sensei’ and repeated promises that Shouta wouldn’t regret helping him, makes him feel like the sun isn’t doing its best to beat him into the dirt. Like the suffocating air around them is instead cool and refreshing.
Shouta places his hands behind him, leaning all his weight onto the small bones of his wrists. “So where have the twenty questions come from? Got something on your mind?” he asks casually. This has been going well but Shinsou will draw the line somewhere, as the past has taught him. Shouta will respect the boundary when it is presented.
Shinsou clears his throat. “Oh, um… I guess, just…I don’t know much about you. Or, I realized I don’t think I do, and we’ve spent time together but I sort of realized that I didn’t know the things you find out about a person when you first make a friend and–”
Shinsou stops, even his breathing halting in his chest as Shouta watches the realization wash over his face of what he has just said.
Shouta has to fight back his own bark of laughter, now.
“Friends? You think we’re friends?” he asks invitingly, his head tilted in question. He can’t hide all of his amusement, a smile fighting to curl up his mouth, but sue him, he’s not perfect.
“A-ah I– I don’t– I’m sorry sensei I shouldn’t have said that–” he stutters, something like actual fear overtaking his body. Shouta sees as he begins to shake and his eyes seem just a bit more bright than they were a minute ago.
The boy goes to stand.
“Sorry I asked, I was just being nosy, I feel better now! Super rested! Let’s just get back to it, yeah?” he babbles and Shouta watches as he turns away.
Shouta does not move from his spot on the ground.
“Shinsou.”
It’s a trained response the way Shinsou stops everything he is doing, still turned away but every nerve focused towards Shouta’s quiet voice that barely rises above the wind.
“We can be friends.”
At first it’s almost as if nothing was said, the boy held at attention like a deer caught in headlights, unsure whether it should run or stay its ground, but as the seconds pass, Shouta sees how the tension bleeds from Shinsou’s shoulders. His cheeks are ruddy and his mouth is slack as he turns around to face Shouta who is still a level below him.
“F-friends?”
Shouta allows the smile now, small and soft. “Sure, kid. Friends. I’m still your mentor, and you have to listen to me as I’m in a position of authority over you, but I don’t think both things can’t coexist. You’re smart enough to know when one is required over the other, I’m not worried about it,” he says matter of fact. He rises now, the scant few inches he has over the boy who only seems to be growing more like a weed every day becoming more prominent as he walks forward. Shouta holds out his hand, open in the space between them. “Friends.”
As Shinsou brings his hand forward and grasps Shouta’s, the handshake leaving a little to be desired on the boy’s side of things, Shouta feels all the pieces come together.
Shinsou had been nervous to try and get to know Shouta in any capacity other than mentor-mentee, and he’s proud of the kid for attempting the icebreakers every child learns at a young age. Shinsou’s natural propensity for seclusion and low self-esteem only makes what he’s attempted today more impressive. Shouta brings his other hand forward, placing it firmly on Shinsou’s sun-drenched shoulder.
“You did good, kid.”
Shinsou all but beams.
As they walk back to the middle of the field they have reserved for the next hour, a new sort of thread tied between them that hadn’t existed moments prior, an idea suddenly strikes Shouta.
“So what’s your favorite color then?” Shouta asks nonchalantly. He doesn’t look over, his eyes focused forward as they walk but it doesn’t take much to hear the small catch in Shinsou’s voice when he answers.
“Purple.”
“Should have known.”
Even the heat can’t bring down the burning energy they both seem to find during what’s left of their session.

Request for anon: Hi!!!! i love our writing and i just knew you could do this! Could you do one with a father Aizawa and a gender nuetral chil reader, who is jealous of Midoriya. Because when Midoriya harnesses his quirk Aizawa be happy dadzawa but when the reader was like 6 or 7 and harnessed theirs he said like " Work harder." Or the world won't want a weak hero and stuff and thats why they hate Midoriya and stuff? IT IS SOO FINE OF YOU CANT!! THANKS <3
•Midoriya is nice.
• He's /so/ fucking nice
• He has a nice smile
• His freckles are nice
• His attitude is great
• He goes out of his way to make sure people are okay
• Which makes it worse and pisses you off more.
• You've been jealous of him for awhile- please he's the center of attention for everyone
• But that isn't your problem
• He's the center of attention for your own dad.
• At least it seemed that way.
• Shota Aizawa, your father, was a teacher at U.A.
• He was bound to get attached to students, that's what teachers are supposed to do
• But..it felt like you were on the back burner and not enough
• when you develop your quirk, you dad gives you a speech
• You're first sucess with your quirk, your father tells you to work harder
• And that's all it ever is
• "work harder"
• "you should be farther along by now,"
• "this isn't a joke, why are you treating it that way?"
• there wasn't a good job or a congrats or praise
• But there was with midoryia
• who got all of it.
• he got good jobs and impresseds
• He got way to go kid and that was smart
• At the beginning of the year you liked him
• He was friendly and funny and he seemed like a cool dude
• He was a cool dude and you hated him- yourself even more for that
• You couldn't ever hate him, not truly.
• Not even when your father praised him, took him under his wing, focused on him
• Even shinsou- you didn't hate him. You were great friends with him.
• But Midoriya irked you, even if you couldn't find it in you to talk behind his back or fuck him over
• Your jealousy for the boy only grew as your fathers praise to him grew and his words to you grew distanced.
• And yet you still thrived for the man's approval
• You wanted to be recognized
• You wanted validation
• You wanted praise and approval.
• You wanted love.
• You stopped speaking to Midoriya, completely. The poor boy didn't deserve a blow up from you, it wasn't his fault.
• Contact to him stopped. His conversation muted unless it was to the class Group Chat
• Your seat? Unfortunately still near him, was no longer an issue if you just ignored his presence
• If your group was hanging put with him that day, you'd skip with some dumb homework excuse.
• No one said anything
• Aside from shinsou that is.
• The smart-ass always had something to say
• "You can't just ignore your problems forever."
"I'm not, till talking to you."
"Funny. But seriously. He's going to question it if he hasn't already. Word gets around.."
• In all seriousness, shinsous worried. He's really worried.
• He's watching you distance yourself from people, from midoryia- hell the only reason the two of you still talk on a daily basis is because he forces it.
• You don't mind, of course, he know that. You did the same to him when his mental health had declined.
• But he sees you're doing it for validation
• Amd he knows Aizawas words aren't malicious. You're his kid, he's worried and wants you to survive over anyone else.
• Doesn't mean how he's going about it is right.
• and it isn't long before you start taking physical training to the max too.
• After class you train for hours until dinner.
• Sometines you miss it; sometimes you don't get home until much later.
• One day in particular though, you start training on a Saturday morning
• He tells you to be smart, keep hydrated and take breaks before he leaves for the day
• Only to come back at dusk to you still training
• "Quirks are currency shinsou,"
"That doesnt-"
"I have to get stronger, no one's going to want a weak hero"
"Y/N please- you've been out here all day. It's hot and muggy and you've barley eaten anything. You need breaks. You can't be a strong pro hero if you die of heat exhaustion." He takes your arm and pulled it down from the punching bag. "You're worrying me."
"I'm not strong enough," you mumble. "Dads right,"
• Eventually Midoriya starts to question why you're ignoring him
• He doesn't think he's done anything wrong
• Maybe he said the wrong thing? But what even is the wrong thing? What could he have said?
• After one particularly rough morning, you're struggling with something
• You're already pissed and ready for the day to be over.
• And it's only 10 in the fucking morning
• And Midoriya, desperate to heal what he once had with a friend (you), walks over to help
"Hey," he starts. "You look like you need some help?"
You pause, glancing in his direction for only a moment. "Go sit down," You mutter.
"I just want to help-"
"I don't need your fucking help. You are the LAST thing I need," you snap. "Who the fuck would /ever/ need you?" You grab your bag and shove him back, leaving the classroom.
The class quiets.
• Midoriya didn't deserve it, no. You knew that.
• You also knew that you weren't in the place to go back to school, so you didn't.
• You took the day off, wandering the streets of your prefecture
• Shinsous blowing up your phone
• Katsuki is too.
• Katsukis upset, you would be too if someone spoke to your friend that way
• Everyone else is too on edge to text you, they're worried though.
• Of course, they go to Aizawa.
• They tell him what happened and how you've been acting
• And he nods quietly and says he'll take care of it.
• Shinsou finally finds you at the Cafe you frequent and he quietly sits across from you
• "you should be in school," you mumble
"So should you."
It's quiet for a few moments before you speak again. "I think I'm going to leave U.A. Mom lives in Miyagi, they've got some nice highschools there. I talked to her over the phone last night."
"What? What no, you can't?"
"Why not, Hitoshi?"
"Because you're a hero-"
"I'm not. I'm not a fucking hero. I haven't made any successes while I've been here, I haven't developed anything, Dad was right."
"You dad was wrong. He's wrong. He's- He's worried one day you're not going to come home. Or when you do you won't be in one piece, so he's pushing you and pushing you," he took your hand gently. "You're strong. You're going to be a great hero. You've already accomplished more than you know."
"I blew up at Midoriya today," you slide him your drink and he takes a sip.
"I know." He nods. "But that's okay, we can deal with it later." He squeezed your hand.
"Yeah, later,"
• It's very much later by the time you reach your dorm.
• The day Shinsou moved to the 1A dorms was the day you'd rejoice
• Your bag is tossed to the side and you make your way to the kitchen and freeze.
• Aizawa is sitting at the table, facing you.
"Your friends are worried about you,"
Yous scoff. "Yeah I'm sure they are."
"Midoryias worried about you."
"I really don't care."
"You shouldn't have snapped at him." Aizawa sighs.
"Thats-" you take a deep breath. Of course he only cared about Midoriya. "Typical." You move to the fridge to get something to drink.
"I..apologize," he begins. "'It's come to my attention that I haven't exactly been the best father to you since your mother left,"
"You think?" You muttered.
"I'm worried. I'm scared."
You look up at him.
"The world is cruel. And I've lost so many students to hero work in the years I've taught, I wouldn't be able to handle it if I lost you to. But it seems I'm already down the path." He stood up and walked over to you. "You're my kid, I love you more than the moon and the stars, I want you to stay safe. Above everyone else, above all else, I want you to come home." He kisses your forehead.
"It'd be nice to get a good job every once in awhile. Everyone else does." You mutter, looking down.
"You are doing great, you know. I don't say it nearly enough but you impress me everyday."
• It's...a little awkward after that, neither of you know how to process emotion so after two days you just pretend like it never happened
• You quietly apologize to Midoriya and wall away before he can respond before pretending like that didn't happen either
• You're not expecting him to want to be your friend
• But he's very adamant on texting you, inviting you out, walking with you you to class
• 1A becomes whole again
• But Shota does ease up, you get the good jobs, the praise, the validation
• And you eat it up to be frank, you fucking love it.

Funny Way of Showing It - Shinsou x Sister! Reader Pt. 1
Tumblr media
Main Masterlist MHA Masterlist
+You are the sister of Hitoshi Shinso. You are the same age and were both adopted by Aizawa and Yamada as a young children. Everyone knows how Hitoshi wanted to be in the hero course but instead you got in. You have a force field quirk that can be both used defensively and offensively. He says he's proud of you but why then is he pulling away from you?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I jumped in excitement after my letter of acceptance finished. I got into UA. Class 1-A even! I ran out of my room to Hitoshi’s. I knocked on the door lightly, not sure if he had finished his yet. I heard a humph inside before someone approached the door. I recognized the humph as a bad one. I set my head on the door frame as he opened the door.
“Hi.” I said. He nodded before turning back into his room. He plopped down on his bed. I sat down Indian style next to him. “So…did you get in?”
“Yeah.” He said solemnly. I cocked my head to the side. He glanced at me before sighing. “I got in but I got into General Studies, that’s it.” He said while closing his eyes. I saw an irritated look pass over his face before it went neutral. “How about you?”
“Yeah, I got in too.” I shrugged and looked away. I pursed my lips, feeling bad now. I know how bad he wanted to be in the hero course. I didn’t really care where I ended up. In reality, I was just trying to support Hitoshi.
“What class?” I heard him shift. He sat up, propped his knees up, and propped his arms on his knees. He looked at me expectantly. I sighed and straightened my back.
“Class 1-A.” I said biting my lip. I didn’t want to look at him but I did anyway. He was looking down with a slight upset look in his face. “I’m sorry Hitoshi. I know how much you wanted…” He held his hand to stop me. I snapped my mouth shut.
“It’s alright, sis.” He said. He set his hand down on mine. “I may be disappointed in placement but that doesn’t mean I can’t be in the hero course one day.” He smiled. I nodded before he pulled me into a bear hug.
“Ah!” I yelled and giggled.
“I am so proud of you though!” He said enthusiastically. “You didn’t even think you would get in let alone the top hero class. See, I told you your quirk is worth more than a shield.”
“Yeah, you were right.” I rolled my eyes and pushed him off by elbowing him. He groaned and let go. I looked over at him, he seemed happy but I knew that this would bother him more than he would let on. A few chuckles from the door caught our attention. We looked to see our dads standing there.
“Congrats you two.” Dadzawa said. He had a soft smile on his face. PapaMic was nearly jumping in place.
“Did you two know?”
“Weeellll…” Papa started. “We knew that you two got in but we didn’t know your placements until your letters were delivered.”
“Just in case loud mouth here couldn’t keep his mouth shut.” Dad threw his thumb over his shoulder. We laughed as Papa looked at him in annoyance. “Also, just because you are now my student, doesn’t mean I’m going to be easy on you young lady/man.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.” I said hopping up. “Just please, all I ask is don’t expel the entirety of the class like that one time. That would suck.”
“Crap. Yeah please don’t do that again. I mean I wouldn’t be able to deal with them being all mopey.” Hitoshi laughed, pointing at me.
“Hey!” I exclaimed offended before pouncing on him. I wrestled with him, ignoring the bounds of laughter behind us. The wrestling went on for a bit but ended up with me pinned by Hitoshi sitting on my back. “Fine I give up.”
“Wimp.” He said. I rolled my eyes before hitting him with a small force field. He flew off my back and I got up and bolted. “Hey! No force fields in the house!”
~Time Skip~
The weeks leading up to class starting were nerve racking. Preparations, the little paperwork, and other things. All that, along with Hitoshi being distant and quiet now and then. Well, more than his normal quiet behavior. The day classes started was the worst yet. We left for school but he hadn’t said one word to me. He wouldn’t even look at me straight.
“Have a good day, Toshi.” I said as we made it in the doors. He nodded and walked off without a word. I sighed and walked to my classroom. I took a breath and walked into the classroom. At least half the class was already here.
“Heyo!” A couple of others waved to me. I shyly waved back. I sat down and kept to myself. The last few showed up and stood in the door. A familiar yellow sleeping bag caught my attention. I rolled my eyes at his antics as the students at the door got spooked. I sighed and got up when he said we are going to do quirk testing.
“What about orientation?” I chuckled when Dad gave out an annoyed sigh. The day went on and I made a few friends. I stayed away from the loud, explosive blonde that had been the subject of the news a while back. The red head Kirishima was really nice and Yayorozo was pretty cool too. I groaned, rubbing the back of my neck as I waited in the classroom for my dad’s to finish.
“So how was your first day kiddo?” Papa came in the door with Dad in tow.
“Exhausting.” I said giving dad a look. He just shrugged. “But no one was expelled. So that was good. I am curious though. What made you not expel that Midoriya kid? Everyone thinks it was just a ploy to make everyone do their best but I know different. So what was that?”
“I saw potential in the kid. Nothing more. See how long he lasts.” He said. Papa and I shared a look.
“Uh huh. Sure.” I said. I got a side, stink eye. I laughed before Papa spoke up.
“So have you talked to Hitoshi today?” I looked at him before looking at the surface of my desk. I shook my head sighing. “What has gotten into that boy? You two barely go a day without talking.” I just shrugged, staring out the window.
The next couple of days passed the same. Hitoshi and I would go to school together, silently. I would wish him a good day and I would either get nod or a wave in response. He did not speak to me much out of necessity at home either. I sighed as I pushed around my breakfast on my plate. I looked up as Hitoshi washed his dishes.
“So how’s school been on you?”
“It’s only been two days.” He said blankly. I flinched. “But how was hero training on you?” He looked over his shoulder at me. “I heard a couple of guys in your class really got into it.”
“Ye-yeah. They did. Apparently they were childhood friends that’s turned into a rivalry or something. It really hyped the rest of us up for our turns.” I said. He hummed and turned back. I bit my lip. I went to say something else but he spoke again.
“Must be nice.” He set the dishes down hard in the drainer. I flinched again. He wiped off his hands and walked towards the front door. “I’m heading out first, see ya later, sis.”
“By…” The front door slammed. I sighed before scraping the remnants of my breakfast and washing my dishes and leaving. I walked to the train station and made it to school. Dad announced we were going to the USJ. The whole class was excited. The day was going to be great. At least that’s what we thought.
“Y/N.” I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up through my haze to see Papa. I had gotten hit pretty hard by some of the villains. Some were able to outsmart me and get around my shields. I was holding my side where I just knew I had a couple of broken ribs.
“Papa.” I whimpered as I tried to move.
“Don’t move too much.” He knelt down. He moved my hair and held my face, checking me over.
“Dad, he…” He shushed me. Someone called him and he looked over his shoulder. I felt myself getting more dizzy. I heard him speak with someone. I collapsed into his lap.
“Y/N!” I heard him yell before I blacked out. I woke up sometime later in Recovery Girl’s office. I groaned as I pushed myself up. I heard the curtain being pulled back.
“Oh good. You’re awake.” Papa said.
“Yes but what about Dad?” He smiled but sighed. He sat down on the edge of the bed.
“He’s holding. He’s beat up pretty bad but he’s strong. You know that.” He brushed hair out of my face. “You dad will be okay.” I nodded. Recovery Girl cleared me and we went home. We walked in the door and Hitoshi shot up from the couch.
“Thank god your back.” He said in relief. I felt emotionally and physically drained so I just walked past him to my room, giving him a small ‘yeah’. “Y/N…” I walked into my room, let my bag drop, and carefully changed clothes before climbing into bed. I heard my door open. “Y/N.”
“I’m fine, Hitoshi.” He heard him pause before he moved forward. I felt him place a hand on my shoulder.
“Are you sure? I mean, you went up against a whole fleet of villains. Real villains. Normally, hero students wouldn’t even see that until…”
“I know. Wouldn’t see that until further into the course. I know Hitoshi.” I sat up. I looked at him. I could see worry laced in his eyes. “I’m fine. I mean I gotta get used to this right? The bad guys, the danger…” I looked down at my hands. “You’re more cut out for this than I am.”
“Y/N…you are cut out for this. I believe in you.” He said grabbing my hand. I looked at it before up at him.
“You have a funny way of showing it, Hitoshi.” I deadpanned before pulling my hand from his and turning over with my back to him. I could almost feel the surprise rolling off of him. “Goodnight, Hitoshi.”
“I, um, goodnight.” He left my room without another word.
been feeling sad and been hearing some upsetting stuff
its currently midnight and I have skool tomorrow but I suddenly just HAD to write down more Mineta headcanons!! hope u people appreciate it!!! ur all very cool and I wish u a good week <33
-he thinks ur mom and deez nuts jokes are the height of comedy
-Mineta and Kaminari hang out outside of school quite a bit. Most of what they do consists of normal teenager activities. However, they still come up with the occasional pervy scheme together. Of course the other students join in too sometimes! (not with the schemes though. if they hear about that, they'll ask Sero to tape the two guys to the wall)
-after coming to the conclusion that Denki was "too much of a pussy (affectionately) to cheat on his tests", grape kid took it upon himself to tutor his friend a little from time to time
-the two friends once dressed up as Dionysus (Greek god of wine and fertility) and Zeus (Greek god of the sky, thunder and lightning) for a costume party. Mineta got drunk and claimed it was all part of the act when Kaminari had to take him home
-Mineta asks Shoji to be his hand reference when he's struggling to draw them because drawing hands SUCKS
-grape boy is highly intelligent. Yaoyorozu is too. :))
-we all know Kaminari is touchy with his friends, right? Mineta would definitely enjoy that. mans is EXTREMELY touch and attention starved so the first time Denki patted him on the back or touched his hand, grape boy short circuited
-its canon he's been working to be a hero since he was a kid, so I imagine when he first came up with his grape theme, he researched the fruit EXTENSIVELY. it became one of his first hyperfixations
-he randomly drops grape facts when he feels like it or when it fits into whatever conversation he's having
-he...soft. squish :) perfect scooping/cuddling size
-Iida carries him around like a potato sack and squishes his cheeks. I mean that's pretty much canon but we need more of it !!
-him and Yaoyorozu put up the Christmas decorations together in the common room. some other people helped of course, like Iida, Shoji and Asui. but Mineta and Momo worked together a whole lot.
-he wins half of every hide and seek game class 1a does. I mean he can climb AND he's that small?? perfect for hiding
-the other half are won by hagakure because, well y'know. once, they worked together and nobody could find them for 2 hours. they only revealed themselves when Midoriya started crying because he thought they lost the duo
-the girls tied Mineta up once and put makeup on him as a punishment. everyone involved was surprised when he actually enjoyed it. so they untied them and taught him how to paint his nails
-accidentally handed in fanfiction 3 times. all were in Mic's English class. one time Mic started reading it aloud to teach him a lesson but had to quit because it turned out to be smut
Tumblr media
-you see those shirts? see that G? we all know it stands for his hero name but i say he sewed those on himself. that OR his mom did for him.
Tumblr media
-there's chips crumbs in his bed. nasty.
-he stays up too late and naps throughout the day
-when people find 'em they usually wake him up and he goes about his day. but one evening when everyone had already gone to sleep, Aizawa went into the common room, he heard a loud snoring come from under the dinner table. Upon finding Mineta, the teacher picked up the little guy and brought him back to the kid's dorm room where he tucked his student in bed. Aizawa never mentioned it again, but Mineta remembers [':
(sry I just love dadzawa and there isn't enough of it when it comes to the other 1A students)
-remember the body pillows headcanon?? just imagine the little dude surrounded by 5 body pillows in bed. just sleeping. just having a good nap. comfortable in bed. surrounded by a mountain of pillows. imagine it :) <3
Tumblr media
that's it for tonight, take care you guys!!!!!!!!!!
