every time i try to do something scary on purpose for my social anxiety the universe decides to add in unexpected situations 😔

#i was supposed to go pick up a package and then i was like. ok wait. ive gotten good at buying something while pickiing a package up. what #if i also buy stamps #bc you have to ask the cashier for those (same as with the package) #and it was just at my cornerstore so it's a safe nonscary environment #well. as not-scary as any store can be. #but. there were a lot of ppl there. which! i thought would be fine bc the line was still relatively short but. what happened was that they #opened another register. #and i was queuing for the reguster that had stamps and handles packages #and i would have loved to stay at the queue. but. only one person went to the queue of the new register. so there were 2 ppl in line before #me. one already had their stuff on the conveyor belt and the other was about to put their stuff there too #and the person who went to the other register only had like 2 things to buy. so. it was me. in line behind 2 people. versus an almost #empty register. so. i had to switch to the free register before the cashier had the time to b like 'there's a free register here!' #bc i don't have a script for hearing that and saying 'no' !!! #so i just. switched over and bought my snacks. leaving the store with no package and no stamps. #bc if i hadnt i would have had to say something i dont have a social script for and probably stumbled on my words and gone red and dizzy #which. not ideal. #and this sucks ass bc all i really needed was one (1) success in a social situation #bc this week has been kicking my ass social anxiety wise #usually when i go and get coffee from a coffeeshop they dont ask me shit and just make my order to regular milk which. ok. i dont have an #allergy or anything. i just think plant alternatives taste better in coffee #but this week. i got asked 'do you want that in regular milk?' and i was not expecting that #so i was like 'yes please 😊' and drank my grossly milky coffee dreaming about what i could have had #and that happened TWICE #after the first time i did think about it and decide i could have said 'do you have oat milk or something' and then the barista #could have either said yes or no and both of those would b easy to answer #but instead of asking if they have oat milk i just said yes. again. #can you guys imagine some people speak without being scared #some people even go to the store without feeling even an ounce of fear. imagine #leevi talks

grocery shopping (and shoplifting) tips from a cashier

DON'T BUY NON FOOD ITEMS AT THE GROCERY STORE. THEY JACK THOSE PRICES UP SO HIGH. laundry detergent, cleaning products, medicine, haircare shit- it's all better to get these somewhere else.

only buy the store brands UNLESS there's a sale on name brands that makes it cheaper than the store brand (but this is pretty rare). there's no difference.

most vendor coupons are shit, especially if they're trying to get you to buy more than one item. be really careful using these as a lot of the time they're not a good deal.

ignore the entirety of those drink coolers and snacks at checkout. most of them are overpriced and not worth it.

most store brand canned items and stuff like ramen noodles are super cheap.

FROZEN FOODS ARE SO OVERPRICED. BE VERY CAREFUL.

meat is expensive, and don't waste your money on any sort of organic blah blah whatever meat. it's the exact same shirt

same thing with organic produce, especially if it's something like bananas where you don't actually eat the outside. don't buy pre-packaged produce, it's not worth it for the exact same thing without a package.

check if produce prices are per pound or per item. they vary wildly so make sure to check so you don't get surprised at the register.

do you have self checkout? EVERY PIECE OF PRODUCE IS A BANANA :)))))

small stuff is was easier to steal than large stuff, obviously. don't try to fit a 50 pack of chex mix in your coat. it will not work.

most cashiers dgaf about shoplifting. managers do. stay away from them.

don't waste your money on overpriced expensive "organic natural blah blah blah" food unless you really have to bc of a dietary restriction. most processed food is more expensive and this just makes it even worse.

if the store has a membership card and you don't have one, always ask to use the store card. they'll let you, you just have to ask.

ground meat is cheaper and more versatile than whole cuts of meat. also make sure to look out for managers specials on perishable items like meat because they're trying to get rid of stuff so it'll be marked way down.

He hadn’t expected you here, out of all places, all he wanted was a cold beer and maybe some crisps. This used to be your place, where you went to buy snacks before cuddling up on the couch with Tessa and watching a movie, running in at midnight to grab a popsicle before bed. 

Tom was the one who showed you this corner store, he’d never think you come back here after you broke up. 

Even though you were dressed in grey sweats and a simple t shirt, with your hair thrown in a messy bun, he was sure that you’ve never looked more beautiful and happy. He really missed you. Breaking up with you was the biggest mistake he’s ever made.

“Y/N?”

At the sound of his voice, you turned around and your smile faltered a bit, before it grew, your eyes softening. 

“Tom, hi, long time no see,” you greeted him and at first it surprised him that you were acting so civil. He knew how upset you were about him getting a new girlfriend not even a month after you’ve broken up. 

Especially because it was his co-star, someone you had asked him about and whom he assured you he was only friends with. 

But then again, he wasn’t at all surprised. You’ve always been very mature.

“Yeah, I haven’t been around lately,” Tom said, stuffing his hands into the pockets of his jeans. 

You nodded and fingered with the packaging of the cereal you had grabbed before he approached you. 

“How have you been? How’s Katherine?” You asked in a friendly tone and he knew you were asking because it genuinely interested you, not to rub salt in the wound. 

“We, uh we broke up,” Tom told you and you winced in sympathy. 

“Sorry to hear that. You guys looked great together.”

That was a lie. 

The tabloids absolutely hated Tom and Katherine together, that was why it was kind of all over the news when they broke up. He wasn’t too sure if you kept tabs on his dating life though and if all this was to torment him. 

“It’s okay,” Tom assured and you pursed your lips before nodding slowly. 

“Uhm, I have to go, but it was good to see you again,” You said, gesturing towards the cashier. 

As you turned to leave, a sudden wave of panic shot through him.

“I made a mistake!” He blurted out. “We shouldn’t have broken up.”

You were still as you turned around slowly, your eyes sad and distant. 

“We didn’t. You broke up with me. You remember why?”

Tom nodded and the memory still pained him. 

“It’s just been so hard lately and I don’t know if I have the strength to keep fighting.”

You stared at him with tears in your eyes and scoffed, not believing what you were hearing that second. 

“You told me everything would be fine as long as we love each other.”

Tom averted his eyes and your breath hitched in your throat. 

“You don’t love me anymore?” You asked, a sob escaping your lips. 

He was silent at first, fighting with his words.

“Not the way I used to.”

You broke down after hearing those words and you were crying into your hands, while Tom sat next to you uselessly.

After a few minutes you calmed yourself down and looked up at him, wiping your wet cheeks.

“Please just go, Tom.”

He was unsure of what to do, knowing he was supposed to leave but at the same time not wanting to leave you like this. 

Tom then decided to respect your wish and stood up to leave.

“I’m really sorry,” he said awkwardly and swallowed thickly before going through the front door, leaving you by yourself to pick up your broken heart.

“I was wrong.”

Tom looked at you with pleading eyes and you crossed your arms, sniffing your nose.

“I was just struggling at that time, and I got confused and I really miss you.”

“Then why did you get together with Katherine not even a month after we broke up?” You asked accusingly and he sighed, running a hand through his hair.

“I thought it’d help me to get over you.”

Tom’s voice broke and you inhaled sharply, training your eyes on the shelf of coffee behind him. 

“What do you want me to say, Tom?”

He looked at your stricken expression and realized how unfair he was being. You looked happy, content, without him, no matter if you were in a new relationship or not, but it was obvious that you had moved on. It wasn’t fair of him to project his own misery and sadness onto you, it was his turn to let you go. 

“I- Nothing. You don’t have to say anything, Y/N. I’m really sorry about how I left things between us. I hope you can forgive me some day.”

Tom gave you a shaky small smile before he pulled up the hood of his sweater and exited the shop, leaving behind the one thing his heart desired the most.

It was needless to say that he wasn’t talking about that cold beer.

The two of you settle onto the couch, eating and talking through stuffed mouths

When you’ve consumed all the orange chicken and french fries that you can handle, you lay back against Jake’s chest

He flips through the channels with one hand, while idly running his fingers through your hair with the other

You doze off, perfectly warm and content in his arms

Josh doesn’t know what to do the first time you call him, asking him to pick up ‘lady products’ from the store

In retrospect, you probably should have given him more specifics, but you were embarrassed to ask the favor from him in the first place

Bc it was still early on in the relationship

You were worried Josh might feel awkward about going to get tampons and pads for you, but he didn’t care in the slightest

He did, however, get very confused

Josh stands in the middle of the Feminine Care aisle for a solid ten minutes, squinting at all the flowery labels

He had no idea there were so many different options???

A lot of the words int he descriptions are different, but then the pictures look the same and it’s very overwhelming

Josh stares at the boxes before walking away with a huff

He returns a moment later with a basket, and begins filling it

He gets a box of pads in every thickness, and a box of tampons in every size, and a box of panty liners because those are somehow different from pads???

He stands back, admiring his basket of goods, thinking, ‘Yeah, that’s good,” before setting off toward the checkout

Josh happens to see a rack of wine and he vaguely remembers you telling him you liked that brand

So he grabs a bottle and waltzes up to the cashier with approximately eight packages of period stuff, and an expensive bottle of Chardonnay

He notices the teenaged clerk’s disturbed look, but ignores it happily

Proceeds to bring all this stuff home to you, throwing his hands up in defense when you burst out laughing

“I didn’t know which one to get, so I got them all!”

Sam

Knows something is wrong the moment he wakes up

First of all, it’s still dark out and you’re not in bed

So he shuffles down the hall in his pajama pants, his bare feet pitter-pattering against the tile

You’re laying on the couch in the fetal position, crying quietly

The cramps are hitting you particularly hard this month, and it hurts to even breathe

“Babe?”

Sam’s voice is soft behind you

You wipe your eyes and turn over to see him standing there, brows furrowed in concern

His hair is tousled but his hands are warm and gentle as he kneels next to you. “What’s wrong?”

“The cramps are just really bad. I’ll be okay; go back to sleep.”

“Not without you,” he answers in a quiet voice, brushing some hair out of your face

“Where does it hurt?” Sam asks, and you place a hand over your lower belly

His fingertips leave your face as he places both hands on the spot you indicated, pressing lightly

You inhale sharply, but when he releases, the pain is eased ever so slightly, so you nod for him to continue

Sam gently rolls his hands across your stomach and the outside of your hips, squeezing lightly and kneading the heel of his hand over the skin

After a few minutes of this, the pain has lessened significantly

You stop Sam’s motions by placing a hand over his, and putting the other one on his cheek

“Help me up?” You ask. Sam nods, pulling you up with him

When you lay down next to him, he rubs your tummy until you fall asleep

David.

The only thing running through her mind was David. Her body swayed back and forth as the warmth ran through her. The room was spinning, but in a nice way. It was as if she was dreaming. She floated through the dance floor, passing body after body, searching for David. She spotted his camera and flashlight first, his mop of brown hair coming into view soon after.

“Hey, baby.” She smiled and pressed her cheek against his back as her arms snaked around his waist. She hugged him tight and took in the scent of his laundry detergent.

“Are you okay?” He laughed as he peered over his shoulder at her. She held him tighter and forced his body to sway with hers. “Y/n?” He attempted to get her attention as he pulled her off of his torso.

“Hmm?” She asked as she finally opened her eyes. She studied his cute face and attempted to go in for another hug.

“Are you okay? How much did you drink?” He asked her as she clung to his chest. She thought for a moment before replying.

“I’m amazing, David. All I want right now is to hug you. And Oreo’s. I reallllllly want Oreo’s.” She slurred as he giggled at her.

“Do you want to go get some Oreo’s?” He finally turned his camera off, realizing that taking care of an intoxicated y/n was more of a priority than getting more footage. She looked up at him and nodded. He escorted her through the waves of people, telling his friends to get other rides. She hummed a random song and snuggled into the passenger’s seat of his Tesla.

“David, do you like the cream or the cookie?” Y/n looked at him as he got settled behind the wheel. He pondered for a moment before responding.

“I like the cookie.” He said it so seriously, as if it was a life-or-death question.

“Okay, good, because I like the cream.” She smiled and pushed a few random buttons on the screen of his Tesla, causing some sort of Frogger game to start. She chuckled and pushed the screen some more, getting on David’s nerves.

“Y/n, please don’t.” He swatted her hand away, causing a sad “you just lost” theme to chime throughout the car. They pulled into a gas station and David looked over to see y/n already staring at him. “What?”

“I really like just being around you, ya know? Like, you’re David and you’re my boyfriend, but like, it’s nice to, like, be around you.” Her words didn’t make much sense but he knew what she was trying to say.

“Do you want anything else, or just Oreo’s?” He opened the car door and paused. She acted very offended that he didn’t want her to come inside the gas station with him,

“David, I’m coming in.” She established and opened the door. He watched her get pulled back to her seat by the seat belt she’d forgotten to unbuckle.

“Y/n, you’re drunk.” He laughed loudly as she attempted to figure out how the seat belt worked. Her world was spinning again, so she took a moment before finally figuring out how to free herself.

“I’m coming in.” And she did. She grabbed Oreo’s and miniature donuts, along with Doritos and a Dr.Pepper.

“I thought being high made you hungry?” He asked her as he followed her around the shelves.

“Yeah, but there’s also the drunk where you need to eat a bunch of stuff so you’re not hungover.” She explained and shoved a chip in her mouth. She smiled at the cashier as David paid for all of her snacks.

“I think that’s every type of drunk?” He corrected her and held the door open as she exited the building. They drove for about thirty minutes, finally reaching their destination at around 4AM.

“This is so pretty! Well, not as pretty as you.” She looked over at David, wanting nothing more than to be in his arms. He seemed to feel the same way and wrapped his arm around her shoulders as they sat on a bench. She placed the package of Oreo’s on her lap and wrapped her arms around David once again. 

“Why do you always get so obsessed with me when you get drunk?” He chuckled and looked up at the stars. She thought for a moment and opened up the Oreo’s. She picked up a cookie and twisted it, all of the cream staying on one side.

“Because when I get drunk I just wanna feel like I’m safe and at home, and you feel like home to me.” She licked the cream off of the cookie and put the two halves back together. She handed the cream-less cookie to him and awaited his response.

“How so? Like, how can a person feel like home?” He took a bite of the cookie and looked down at her face. She was perfect.

“Well, I think home is wherever you feel most comfortable, right? Like you can be your most vulnerable self? And I feel all of those things when I’m around you. So, I guess that just makes you feel like home?” She questioned herself, but everything sounded right.

“Oh.” He said, She looked up at him and wondered if he would say anything else. “You feel like home to me, too.”

And last but certainly not least is the final member of the maknae line, the second half of the Busan line, the golden maknae who has such a goofy side to him I love that he knows when to be serious but he can still have tons of fun, Jeon Jungkook aka kookie

This AU takes place in the college AU, college!kook is here, it’s the photographer!kook post, it isn’t necessary to read it, it’s really just to set the mood and give some feel of a scene for the post

There are so many good looks to choose from, his hair is so nice and it looks so soft 1000/10 tbh

But I gotta go with the War of Hormone hair, black hair on Jungkook just looks so amazing idk what it is about it that is so nice but whatever it is, I’m here for it

WoH!kook has a special place in my heart though bc the parting of his hair was like oh wow but tbh Fire!kook is also one of my favorite looks he’s ever done so I’ll say he changes his hair style

He goes blonde for a bit, he does the pink, he does the red and he looks super cute with all of them

I love kook’s style, it’s so laid back and comfy, he wears tons of baggy t-shirts, I found it so cute how in Bon Voyage (I think it was BV at least) joon told kook not to pack any white shirts bc they could get dirty or something like that and kook is standing there in a white t-shirt, in front of like 20 white t-shirts and you just see the “well fuck” go through his head

There are so many good outfits to pick for player!kook I can’t choose just one bc there’s this one look where he’s in all black and he’s got black boots, a leather jacket AND a black beanie and he looks so boyfriend it’s ridiculous but there’s also a look where he’s in a white button up shirt with black pants and a black beanie and that’s also really nice

So those two will be his casual looks but his date night look is also really cute, I can’t tell what era it is bc he has black hair and he’s had black hair in a few different eras but he’s got this greenish gray coat on and this dark gray sweater underneath it and then blue ripped jeans and black boots and seeing it makes me want to scream both externally and internally

Forever in beanies, just gonna point that out, he’s always got one in his bag just in case

He’s more of a dater

He’s young, he’s doing photography, he’s dancing on the side, he’s got a job on top of being in school so he’s not really ready for a relationship

He always uses the term “friends” and he makes sure they know it’s nothing serious bc he doesn’t wanna hurt them by letting them think it’s something more than what it is

He’s not doing it to be a fuckboy or toy with anyone but he just takes a more casual approach to dating

He does go a couple weeks with one person though and he only dates one person at a time bc even if it is casual, it still feels weird to have a date one night and then go out with someone else the next

“Breaking up” is something he tends to try to avoid but when he does do it, he tries to make it as gentle as possible bc kook’s got a soft heart he’s a sensitive kid

Dates are always fun with him, he takes a second to get comfortable but once he is, he’s making them laugh nonstop and being extra

He loves a good dinner date, he likes going to the arcade or maybe seeing a movie bc it helps break the ice a lot faster bc then you have the movie choices and you can talk about which one to see and why it sounds good, get to know each other a bit and also he can do that whole fake yawn bit so it’s a win win

Flirting is a hit or a miss, depending on who approaches who

If he approaches them, he has time to prepare himself, he has time to come up with witty things to say, he knows how he’s gonna start, he has plenty of time to just figure everything out so he’s gonna be a lot more confident 

He’s gonna do the thing where he leans on the wall as he’s talking to them and he’s so tall and broad and he has a smirk on his face the entire time and he walks away every time with a date planned for that night

But if they approach him, he has z e r o time and he gets a bit flustered and is kinda in shock the entire time bc wait what’s happening

Similar to Yoongi, he can have that bad boy vibe to him sometimes, especially when he’s in the all black with the boots and like I said in that post, a lot of people are into that sort of thing so they’ll approach him

And then they see that he has such a cute, interesting personality and they’re hooked bc he’s got a goofy personality and he’s humble and sweet and just overall wonderful and then to top all of that off, he’s a good looking man, he’s the entire package

You two meet at a camera store

You’re there to help your friend pick out some supplies and kook works there, he’s a cashier but he also does some organizing and helps with prints when he has extra time

Your friend points him out bc the both of you recognize him from campus and you both know all about his reputation but it’s weird to even think of him as a player when he’s sitting there helping a little girl pick out her first camera

He’s being so patient with her and answers all of her questions and he even gives her advice and shows her how to use it and your heart is just melting bc he’s supposed to be t h e fuckboy of the campus who breaks hearts without remorse but he’s being so sweet and making her giggle a lot

When he’s done helping her out, you decide to ask him a few random questions just to talk to him bc you wanna see if he’s actually that nice or if he was just a softie around kids

But he’s actually really sweet?? you can totally see why everyone who’s dated him doesn’t hate him, he’s got such a cute smile and he’s a bit shy and it’s not at all what you were expecting

“You’re not a fuckboy at all”

“What??”

In your head, all you hear is oh shi T bc you didn’t mean to actually say that and now he knows you know who he is or at least know about his reputation

He tells you that his shift is over in ten minutes so you agree to meet up in the cafe next door when he’s done so he can actually talk without getting in trouble for not working even though he’s the golden employee

The more you talk to him, the more you like him bc he’s funny and witty and even just his voice is really nice and you end up asking him out to dinner the next day

You two start up a lil summer romance from there and both of you are having so much fun together and he shows you all of his cameras and his photo albums and he gets really personal with you 

He even shows you his singing voice, which is something he’s never done with any of his dates

Time goes by too quickly and you’re preparing yourself for the breakup when the new term starts bc you assume that’s how it’s gonna go but instead you two only get closer and start spending more time together bc you end up in the same class

Despite common misconceptions, Oikawa was afan of going into supermarkets in the dead of night. He loved the overly brightfluorescent lighting of the store, the empty aisles of brightly coloredpackaging, the tired mother with her sleeping baby wrapped close to her chest,the sleep-deprived college student that was the cashier who often gave him freecoupons, everything about late night shopping was Oikawa’s aesthetic.

No one would try to make small talk about thebags accumulating under his eyes from too many all-nighters, people wouldn’tbother him as he picked up another bag of Epson salt and a couple of milkbreads for the days when volleyball kicked his ass hard, he was allowed to readsports magazines leisurely without being glared at by the strict manager, itwas perfect.

He hummed as he made his way to aisle twelve, left side,about five steps in, the last shelf. He bent down and reached for his go tobrand of medicinal cream for muscle fatigue when another hand grabbed his leastfavorite brand of Epson salt.

“Just for reference,” he started, not wanting to sound tooimposing, but the other person just hadto know. “That brand is terrible for people with sensitive skin, not to mentionthe smell is less than pleasant.” 

“Oh…”

Oikawa glanced at the person’s shoes, worn out Nikes, trailingupwards, he saw a pair of form fitting sweats that emphasized strong calves andeven better thighs. He grabbed his ointment and stood up, offering the strangera pleasant smile that was ruined by his loud ‘geh.’

“Ah, Oikawa-san,” Kageyama blanched, his wide eyesdisplaying the shock that wasn’t present in his voice. “How are you?” 

“I’m good,” he replied, eyeing Kageyama’s tiny basket thatwas filled to the brim with water, sport drinks, granola bars, and a singlemilk carton. “You?”

“Tired.”

The brunet raised his brows at the honest admission, pursinghis lips at the now visible slouched stance that Kageyama was in, as well andthe white sports tape that were wrapped around each individual finger 

“How was camp?” Oikawa asked nonchalantly, grabbing a coupleof ace bandages and an extra ankle brace from the other side of the aisle. “Ah,I wouldn’t recommend that either.”

Kageyama paused at grabbing a different bag that labeledlavender infused bath salts and pointedly stared at him, eyebrows scrunched asif to determine if it really was Oikawa in front of him. “Camp was fine.” Hereached for another brand only to stop at Oikawa’s loud sigh. “Okay, which one should I get?”

“Let’s see,” Oikawa drawled out, scanning the shelves andnot finding the one he uses the most. “Oh, I guess they ran out.”

“Then it doesn’t matter right?”

“It does,” Oikawa muttered reaching out to grab medicinalbath oil that was almost as good as his favorite brand of Epson salt. “This ispretty good. I would advise you to use twice the recommend amount though.”

“Thanks?” Kageyama said, his voice lifting at the end as heread the bottle that was given to him.

“Don’t mention it,” Oikawa offhandedly replied, turning aroundand headed for the cash register, not even caring as to why Kageyama appearedbefore him. “See ya Tobio-chan.”

That’s probably the only con about walkinginto supermarkets that are open all day every day, Oikawa thought to himself asa cashier rang up his purchase, you’ll never know who you’ll meet.

Oikawa jogged inside the store, shaking off the suddendownpour from his clothes and hair, glancing around the empty store as hewandered in trying to find the things he was searching for.

Although chain stores usually had the same policies, thesame building structure, and the same items, the placement of these items wereusually different in each store and varied by city.

He sighed loudly as he went through the aisles once more,looking closer this time to find what he wanted. Finally finding the aisle heneeded to go into, he went towards the over the counter pain medicine area,trying to find the cheapest meds that would work just as well as doctorprescribed ones. 

“Those are pretty weak, I suggest you pick these onesinstead.”

Oikawa looked to his right and there was Kageyama, drippingwet, offering advice on medication at three in the morning.

“Congratulations on your first match,” Oikawa offered inreturn, grabbing the brand that was recommended to him. “But I have to say,your serves were pretty weak.” 

“I know.” 

Oikawa tilted his head and frown at the sullen Kageyama,patting his shoulder when he passed by. “It was a joke Tobio-chan. You did verywell.” 

He didn’t look back, because if he did he might have haveseen the dumbstruck face of his old teammate.

The sun was shining bright, the day was hot, the streetswere crowded, and Oikawa was not pleased. Of all days for his parents’ AC tostop working, it had to be the day when he popped in for a surprise visit intotown. He hurriedly went into the nearest shop, praying that they had the rightsize of screwdriver; they did, and waited in line. 

“Oikawa-san?”

To say that Oikawa was pleased at hearing that voice wouldbe an overstatement. He could feel sweat forming between his fingers as he kepthis hand closed around the handle of the screwdriver. Licking his lips andrunning his free hand through his hair, he turned to face Kageyama.

“Tobio-chan, what a surprise to see you here.” 

Simple pleasantries. After five times of meeting each other,it’s become a habit to speak first and think later.

“Is that alcohol I see?” Oikawa teased, smirking at Kageyamawho hid the bottles behind him.

“There’s a Karasuno get together later today…” He trailedoff, leaving the rest for Oikawa to imagine. “What are you doing here?” 

“Visiting the family,” Oikawa replied, handing the cashierhis single item and handed him 2000 yen. “The rest will pay for his stuff.”

“You don’t have to-” Kageyama started, only to beinterrupted by Oikawa.

“I know. Bye Tobio-chan. Have enough fun for the both ofus.”

Oikawa sort of stop counting their encounters after the twelfthtime. It was similar to the snowball effect. Chance after chance, they keptmeeting, and somewhere in between they exchanged numbers, which led to them totalk more and to stop accidently meeting each other and start planning to meeteach other. 

“Are you listening Oikawa-san?”

“Yeah yeah, something about cheesy pizza right?”

Kageyama huffed loudly and frowned, the screen glitchingslightly as he moved to grab something off camera. “You weren’t listening.” 

“Sorry, busy typing up this report.” Oikawa mumbled, pushinghis glasses up as he glanced back to his word document. “Wow. You are beingincredibly noisy, what are you doing?”

“I was trying to find something I got for you, but I think Ileft it in my bag,” Kageyama explained, sitting back into his chair and made aface that slightly resembled a pout. “Did you get new glasses?”

“Nah, they’re spares. I broke my other ones.” Oikawa brisklyreplied, rereading what he just wrote, changing a word and then added a comma.“Oh, you glitched again.”

“Did I?” Kageyama’s mouth moved, and the audio followed twoseconds later. “This internet isn’t the best.” 

“Clearly,” Oikawa joked, content with where he was at in hiswork and closed off the document after saving it multiple times. “What time isit over there?”

“9,” he answered, scratching his neck slightly. “I’m gonnahead to practice soon. You have a later class right?”

“Unfortunately,” Oikawa groaned, leaning back and rubbed hiseyes beneath his glasses. “I wish you were here to make your famous hot cocoa.” 

“I wish I was there too.”

Oikawa stopped in his tracks, tilting his head at whatKageyama said. It wasn’t like him to respond like that. He would normally scoff or make an offhand remark about howdramatic Oikawa was being, but saying that,now that was weird.

“Crap,” Kageyama blurted, reading something off his phone.“The captain’s making an emergency meeting, I gotta go. I’ll talk to you laterOikawa-san. Bye.” 

Before Oikawa could say his own goodbye, Kageyama ended thecall, leaving a very confused Oikawa behind.

“Red looks better on you,” Oikawa commented, leaning forwardto fix Kageyama’s skewered tie. “Has anyone ever told you that you wear toomuch black?” 

“Occasionally.”

Oikawa nodded at that, and took a step back humming as heraked his eyes over Kageyama’s outfit. He slapped Kageyama’s hand away frommessing with his bangs, tsking softly as he reached forward to fix the sideswept bangs.

“You’re like a little kid,” Oikawa commented, flickingKageyama’s forehead as the younger male began to gnaw on his lips. “Nervous?” 

“This is my first interview as being starter of the nationalvolleyball team. Safe to say, I’m a little nervous,” Kageyama admitted, closinghis eyes as Oikawa raked his fingers through his damp black hair. “Will youcome with me?” 

“What?” Oikawa asked, nearly a shriek, but not quite. “Ah,that’s sort of short notice you know? Plus, I would have to take a shower, andI doubt I have anything good to wear. Not to mention I have my midterm tomorrow,which I know I’ll do fine in but I still have to study some stuff and-”

“If you don’t want to, you just have to say no,” Kageyamainterrupted, cheeks tinted pink at the drawn out rejection. “It’s not a life ordeath situation.” 

Oikawa stopped his tirade of useless excuses, blinking twicebefore admitting that yes of fuckingcourse I would love to go and pleasestop smirking at me like that, ok it’s hard to admit that I would kill to meetall the members of the national team.

“Did you know that it’s been a year since we first met eachother?” Oikawa asked, busy wasting time on Facebook, scrolling past thememory from April that said guess who Imet at the supermarket…should I have asked for an autograph? lololol andshared another recipe that looked good enough to try out. 

“Really?” Kageyama muttered, eyes focused on the tablet thatwas resting on Oikawa’s sprawled out legs. “So when did we officially gettogether?”

Oikawa huffed loudly, digging his heels into Kageyama’sthigh. The younger male hissed at that, glaring at his boyfriend with no realhostility.

“I’m heartbroken that you can’t remember. We definitely gottogether the day I found you aimlessly walking the streets after yourdevastating loss and invited you back to my place and watched you cry.”

Oikawa looked up from his phone, lips turning upwards atKageyama’s bottom lip jutting out in disappointment. Oikawa leaned forward, onehand on Kageyama’s shoulder and pressed his lips against his boyfriend’s.

“Wait, I’m sure it was when I invited you to one of my gamesbut you could only come to the after party and we ended up sleeping on the samebed in my hotel room.” 

Oikawa could barely contain his laughter, as Kageyama lookedeven more putout at this statement. 

“Oikawa-san, don’t tell me…you don’t know when we actuallygot together?” 

“Oh please, of course I do,” Oikawa scoffed, rolling hiseyes as he kissed the tip of Kageyama’s nose, content with teasing Kageyamaenough for the day. “It was the day you came back from Italy. That was when Irealized our feelings were mutual.”

“Really?” Kageyama asked, his head tilted and mouth slightlyagape. “That was only a couple of months ago though.”

“Well, yeah…why do you look so upset?”

“Don’t laugh okay?” Kageyama mumbled, putting a hand to hisface to hide his embarrassment. “I’ve been telling people we got together afterour phone call when I was in China.”
