thanks for all those recs omg !
since i've been working on my own fic and finishing the show, I've just been bookmarking fics for later and now I have so many to get through. i'm very excited about it
i've also read eighty-four and I really liked it, unique concept done extremely well without being as confusing as some other time-loop type stories
of course!! i am so excited for you. stepping into a new fandom and devouring all the fics is SO FUN, please report back with your favorites 🥰
we are really REALLY lucky in this fandom to have such passionate writers, and i think it shows in how interesting the AU and canon divergent fics are. those dudes really be in all kinds of situations - and they work!!! it's part of the reason why i never tire of those bozos. their story in the source material is stunning, of course, but there are just endless ways to create as well!
if you are looking for more fandom faves, i also suggest checking out @thegallavault to get a feel for some classic fic AND art! we're rich!

i'm so glad goncharov happened when it did, right before prolific public use of AI. that was pure honest gaslighting straight from the heart. real human whimsicality and trickery thru blood sweat and tears. we were a family. and we all gonched, together. you cant replicate that with any machine.

They say you die three times, first when the body dies, second, when your body enters the grave, and third, when your name is spoken for the last time. You were a normal person in life, but hundreds of years later, you still haven't had your "third" death. You decide to find out why.

Some spins on the "mostly male team with a token woman" trope:
The woman is trans and stayed in her old circle of bros even after transition
The woman is the only one in her circle of "girls" who didn't turn out to be a trans man

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.
if I used this word in a sentence, would it make sense? absolutely. if you asked me what it meant, could I tell you? absolutely not.

“how did you get into writing” girl nobody gets into writing. writing shows up one day at your door and gets into you

it's always so fascinating and heartbreaking when a character in a story is simultaneously idolized and abused. a chosen prophet destined for martyrdom. a child prodigy forced to grow up too fast. a powerful warrior raised as nothing but a weapon. there's just something so uniquely messed up about singing someone's praises whilst destroying them.

reblog if you’ve read fanfictions that are more professional, better written than some actual novels. I’m trying to see something
