Just canceled all of my future therapy appointments. Big fudgin’ bummer. Did I mention I lost my insurance? Didn’t even find out about that until the day it lapsed. Trying to find a way to fix it now, reapplying and whatnot, but ya know, it’s bureaucracy so who knows how long it’ll take. Just fingers crossed I don’t run out of meds first.

Angel Girl II
summary: it seems that you and jack can't stay away from each other when you're bought back together again.
cw: fertility struggles
a/n: this follows the first part of angel girl, where you and jack are getting divorced. this won't be the last part!
***
Jack was hesitant to walk into the lawyer’s office, although he had spent the better part of the past six months there. He was dragging it out as long as he could, coming up with tactics to prolong the process until you rolled your eyes and stormed out- effectively giving him the chance to ask you to join him for lunch at the sandwich shop just down the street.
Today, however, was going to be a little more complicated. He had finally given in and signed the divorce papers that you would discuss with both of your lawyers. As he rubbed his hands on his wheel and thought about all the things that he could do to halt the process, his lawyer knocked on his window with a big smile.
One would think she’d be a little more solemn, but with all the fees Jack had racked up, she couldn’t help but feel excited over settling this for another handsome check. Jack rolled down his window and greeted her with a polite smile before licking his lips.
“Good morning.” he greeted, already smelling the coffee seeping from her pores. “I’ll be ready in a minute. I just- I needed a minute.”
“Oh, Jack, it’s fine. You know, I’ve seen worse reactions. I think you’re handling it pretty well, all things considered.”
“All what things? The fact that I'm the reason my wife is leaving me? Considering I’m a fuck up?”
Celine cleared her throat and swept a hand through her blonde hair. “No, considering that media speculation I've seen. And Y/N’s relentlessness in the matter. I wish my husband was half as thoughtful as you are.”
If she wasn’t a kickass lawyer, Jack would’ve done away with her before they got started.
“What time are we supposed to be in there?” he asked, ignoring her sentiment completely.
“About ten minutes ago, but we’re waiting for Y/N. And I refuse to watch Gordon fumble around while we do.”
Jack scoffed in agreement at that, looking toward the street for your car to turn in. You were punctual most of the time, especially to these meetings, so it made him worry when he didn’t see your car in the parking lot before his. Today would be the first time since the party- and your final stand on the divorce, that he would see you and his heart skipped a beat.
It’d been a long three weeks, and he could only think about touching you and the way your skin felt against his. At least until the memories were rudely interrupted by the look on your face when you walked out for the last time. He hated himself for it, but his texts weren’t going through to plead for a chance to even tell you sorry.
After no more than another ten minutes, he saw your car park in its usual spot. He knew better than to wait for you to walk in first, otherwise he’d never go in, so he opened the door and snatched the papers from his passenger seat.
By the time Jack was settling in his chair and his frown was becoming settled deeper in his face, you walked in. At first, Jack would’ve confused you for hungover- judging by your eyes that were slightly red and the slight stumble you took in the direction of the door and jittery fingers against your purse as you sat, but he realized your symptoms were attributed to something he had seen much too often.
“I’m sorry I’m late. I-I'm not feeling well.”
“You could’ve let us know beforehand. We wouldn’t have gathered so soon.”
Almost as a reflex, Jack’s face balled up and he turned to face his lawyer. “Don’t talk to her like that.”
“No, I feel bad. I just- I made the appointment last night and I haven’t been feeling well.” you whispered, making eye contact with Jack briefly before picking at your nails. “I’m sorry.”
Jack’s heart had a sinking sensation as he stared at you, watching as your chest caved with a shaky breath. “Y/N?”
“I’m okay.” you said, giving him a smile that made him feel even worse. “I have the papers. It’s okay if we don’t get through it all today, really.”
“I was thinking that maybe half today and half on Monday wouldn’t be a terrible idea. I’ve highlighted some language that it might be worthy to discuss.” Celine said, ignoring the way you and Jack stared at each other. “Gordon, what do you think?”
“I, um- I-I didn’t highlight much, but I made a few notes. Given that there was no prenuptial-”
“Mrs. Harlow has made it very clear where she stands on claiming anything. Although, my client is more than willing to give up more than half of his assets.”
“I am.” he nodded, clearing his throat and rolling his shoulders when he sat straight.
“Did you make a note of that, Gordon?”
“Well, Celine,”
“Because I feel that it’s unfair for my client to suffer from any financial and emotional liability if he has not-”
“Sorry, can we please pause for a minute?” you interrupted, taking a deep breath to steady yourself as you stood from your chair shakily.
“Is she ill?” Gordon asked as you left the room with a hand on your mouth and stomach. “Should one of us… you know?”
“Fuck.” Jack mumbled, and stood from the chair to rush out of the room behind you, despite his disgruntled attorney.
He found you in the concave of the hallway, bent over a trash can. Luckily, the office was empty today. Jack approached you silently, watching as you stood up straight and took a deep breath. When you went to reach into your purse for a mint, you caught sight of Jack’s figure and yelped.
“Sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you, I just wanted to check on you.”
“Well, I’m fine. Besides the fact that I couldn’t find the bathroom.” you shook your head at yourself and Jack licked his lips when you opened a mint.
“About last time-”
“No, I don’t want to talk about that. I’m over us.”
“Y/N, we need to talk about what happened before we do this. I-”
“What is there to say besides the fact you act like you love me so much and can’t get over me, but still go on to fuck someone else. The only reason we even fucked was because you couldn’t stand the thought of me being with someone else. You’re not as good as I’m going to get, Jack. Whether you think so or not.”
You left Jack in the foyer, brushing his shoulder slightly as you marched back to the conference room. You felt terrible inside and out, from the bouts of nausea that had been plaguing you for the past week or so, to the way you found faith in Jack again after so long. All of you hurt, and you only knew for sure that you could blame one of the incidents on Jack.
You were in the conference room for several moments before Jack entered, looking angrier than he was before. A part of you felt a pang when his blue eyes seemed icier as he looked at you while settling into his seat. His attorney must have picked up on the energy with the way she straightened her posture according to Jack’s.
Gordon even seemed intimidated when Jack tugged at the bottom of his shirt and whispered something into her ear that made her flash a devious smirk before nodding and referring to her briefcase.
“My client is ready to proceed with the divorce. In its finality.”
“As would I.” you nodded, and Gordon cleared his throat. “I would like things to remain amicable, and I don’t want anything from Jack. As has been established… on several occasions.” you cleared your throat and Jack licked his lips.
“Alright, well, I went ahead and took the liberty of printing off the finalized papers to proceed with the divorce. If there’s nothing else to discuss, then I’m sure we can get this over with today.”
You and Jack sat in silence as your attorneys went over the contracts in front of you, showing and explaining what you were signing meant. Your heart pounded through each one, and Gordon’s ramblings seemed to become more like an insistent white noise as you got closer to the end of the thick stack.
You felt saved by the bell when a notification went off in your back pocket. You excused yourself as you looked down at your phone, finding the notification being from your tracking app. What felt like a billion alarm bells went off as you read over and over, ‘Nine Days Late’.
“Y/N?” Gordon whispered, and you immediately turned off your phone, straightening up and blinking profusely. “Y/N, are you alright, dear?”
“I’m fine. I- fuck, something came up.” you whispered back, glancing at the other side of the table.
“Oh, how convenient.” Celine scoffed, shaking her head. “Seriously, Y/N, we’re less than an hour away from what you’ve put Mr. Harlow through hell for.”
The last thing you expected after your encounter was for Jack to hiss at his counterpart to watch her mouth. All three of them watched you nervously pick up all your belongings while shaking slightly. Jack stood up and walked around the table, and placed his hand on your lower back.
“Don’t.” you shook your head, swallowing and looking up at him.
“I know this is over, Y/N, but you don’t look okay. Just tell me what I can do.” he whispered back to you, his hand twitching with the urge to cradle the back of your head and thumbing at your wrinkled forehead.
“You can move.” you whispered, tucking your folders under your arm and tugging your purse strap on.
Jack stepped to the side to allow you to move past him, breathing heavily in hurt. You couldn’t bear the thought of Jack, not with everything else clouding your head. Both of the attorneys looked wildly dissatisfied, but you could offer them nothing more than a swift apology before ducking from the room and straight to your car where you clutched your steering wheel, dropped your head between your outstretched arms, and sob.
After leaving the parking lot, you went straight to the pharmacy, nearly flying into the store. A million thoughts raced through your mind, and all of them were as hard to distinguish as the tears in your eyes. You weren’t sure how you even ended up on the aisle- be it that you subconsciously memorized the aisles or there was some instinctive pull to the right direction, but either way you seemed to only find yourself out of your daze upon staring at all the different tests.
You were grazing idly at the back of your hand while you took deep, shuddery breaths. It was all too overwhelming and it was only the look of the young man at the register that kept you from breaking down. After your second glance towards him, you cleared your throat before pulling out your phone and pretending to call a friend.
“Which one?” you said to yourself, feeling somewhat soothed by the ability to verbally weigh out your options. “I think- think they all work the same, but the Clear Blue one looks like it’ll work best.”
When you looked over this time, noticing how the cashier seemed significantly less interested, you took a deep breath before sliding it off the rack. “I’ll bring it by later.” you waited a beat before quickly snatching another. “No problem.”
After making a show of hanging up and snagging a bag of candy, you approached the register with a smile that didn’t reach your wet eyes. “This is it for you?”
“Yes, thank you.” you rushed out, digging through your purse for your card.
“Hey, you’re Jack Harlow’s wife, right? Y/N?”
“Um, yeah.” you said, perhaps with too much hesitance, hinted by the way he quirked an eyebrow. “I’m still not used to… being recognized, I guess.”
“Not even after three years?” the young boy joked, and when you gave him an awkward smile, he stammered. “I didn’t mean to be weird- I just really like his music- Angel Girl is one of my favorites, actually. I’m going to his first show on tour in a couple weeks.”
You averted your gaze to the bag with the tests sitting in it, and immediately felt another nausea cramp rush towards you. “I-I’m sure you’ll have a great time. He loves seeing you all out there.”
The boy grinned and before he could say anything else, you pushed the card in his direction. “So, uh, is this stuff for you?”
You weren’t quite sure how you were keeping your composure, but you deserved some kind of accolade for it. “My friend.”
“Ah.” he nodded thoughtfully and handed your card back. “Well, have a nice day, Mrs. Harlow.”
“You, too.” you took the bags quickly, and marched out of the store, releasing a deep breath from your chest.
When you were settled in your car, you were greeted by a text from Jack. Before you could even read it, you put a hand over your head and looked over it.
Jack: Hey, sorry you’re not feeling well. Let me know if you need anything, Angel. I got you.
Jack: Besides that- tour is starting soon and I know you want this shit over with ASAP so just tell me when.
You watched the bubbles for a moment before they went away. You didn’t know what to respond, you didn’t even want to respond. All you wanted was to lie in bed with your head shoved into a pillow, but the two pregnancy tests on your lap were creating a weight like the one on your chest.
||
You tried to distract yourself from anything at all related to the pharmacy bag sitting on your bed. Two years ago, you would’ve been eager to take a test and have such a thing be a possibility, but now you were dreading it. As you sat in a ratty tank top and sweatpants that were hardly standing the test of time with your knees to your chest on the couch, you could only think back to the last time this had happened.
You could only remember sitting on the couch drowning yourself in self-pity because Jack was home late- his streak unwavering, too late to do anything to soothe your aching heart. It was after a long morning at the doctor’s office, the one where they told you your chances of having a child were low. Which happened to be the same day Jack went out and told another girl all the ins and outs of your struggles.
You knew Jack was just as devastated as you were over the news, but you could never eclipse the tinge of resentment you felt for the way he handled it all. The way he went out and confided in someone else rather than be the husband he claimed to be while you picked yourself apart in a cold home. Still though, as you went to open the tests, you found it hard to go it alone.
To know that he was the only person who had any idea what it was like for you, to know he was the person that would hold you if you got the results the stubborn part of you was anticipating. To know that he would still share this little bit of love with you made it hard to let him go in that moment.
Putting down the test and wiping your eyes free of your leftover tears, and picking up the phone to call Jack, you took a deep breath and sat on the edge of your bed. A part of you didn’t expect him to answer, but you should’ve known that he wouldn’t miss your phone call for anything.
“What’s the matter, Angel?” he answered immediately, as if he knew your chest was heavy.
You hated that you ever gave him that power, the power to bring out emotions you didn’t know you had. It was with that, that you lost your composure and sobbed loudly into the phone, doubling over at your knees.
“Y/N, what is it? Where are you? I-”
“Jack, can you please come over? T-to my apartment. I’m fine, I guess, I just need you here for a few.” you sniffled, the movements in your chest stuttered as you stared at your reflection in the mirror across the room. “Please?”
“Of course.” he said, as if you asked if you could borrow an egg or an old friend asking for a ride, not like you two were just staring at each other the morning hashing out the details of finalizing a divorce. “Don’t stress yourself out, Angel. Do you want me to bring something by?”
“No. I just- if you could just come.” you admitted, calming down slightly as you realized Jack was coming.
“I’m on my way now, alright? You want me to stay on the phone with you?”
“No, I’m fine.” you took a deep breath before wiping the heels of your hands against your eyes. “Thank you, Jack.”
“Hey, those papers ain’t signed yet. I’m still your husband.”
You weren’t sure where the time between Jack hanging up the phone and him arriving went, but before you knew it, you were springing up and walking towards the door- right past your open bathroom door that had a half-open test inside. When you opened the door, you couldn’t even utter out a greeting before Jack was stepping into your home and wrapping you in a hug.
“Hey.” he whispered, arms tight around your back and his face pressed against your head. You shuddered at his scent, at his solidity, before wrapping your arms back around him.
“Thank you for coming, it’s just- I wouldn’t have been able to do this myself.”
“What is it?” he pulled back and cupped your cheeks, perhaps your vulnerability made him a little more comfortable, but you took notice and pulled back. The chances were high that you were about to give him the most meaningful piece of yourself, but you weren’t ready just yet. “You can tell me. I’m here for you no matter what, Angel.”
You waited a beat, allowing yourself to come to terms with the words. “I-I think I’m pregnant. With your baby… from that night.”
“My baby?” Jack choked out, and you jerked your head up towards him.
“I know how that sounds, but it could only be yours. It could-”
“Fuck, I know that.” Jack breathed out, stepping closer to you. “Hell, even if it wasn’t, you better have called me.”
You turned your head and Jack kissed your cheek once more, allowing you to fully give into his grounding presence- even if it were just for the moment. “If you think you are,” he told you, close enough to your cheek for his beard to tickle your skin. “Let’s go take the test.”
“And what if I am? W-what if-”
“Don’t stress yourself about that, yet. Let’s get the important part done first.”
You nodded and broke away, leading him to your bathroom. Jack was close to following you in, but with a soft giggle, you placed a hand against his chest. Jack being who he was, just shrugged his shoulders and cracked a joke.
“You sure? I’m pretty good moral support.”
“I’m a big girl.”
You weren’t sure if it was convincing or not considering you were saying that to your ex-husband who towered over you and you couldn’t even take a pregnancy test without. Not to mention your swollen, watery red eyes and puffy lips that made the saddest pout.
“Alright.” he put his hands up in defense and you slowly shut the door behind you.
It took you longer than it should’ve, Jack knew that much. You had taken these tests dozens of times, and felt every emotion while you did it. There was a time when it caused you great anxiety, a time when you were elated, and even a time where it felt like you were doing it just to make yourself sad. This time, though, it seemed that you were numb. There was too much to feel, more than you knew what to do with, and it created nothing but a hole.
Jack opened the door when he decided it’d been long enough. He didn’t quite care about whatever you’d have to say about it, and he knew he’d done the right thing when he saw the tests on your counter face down and you sitting on the side of the bathtub with your hands tight around the edge.
“Y/N,” he whispered, crouching next to you and reaching up to thumb away some of your steady tears. “You don’t know.”
"You might as well just go home. It’s stupid that I even thought it could happen.”
“Angel, don’t do this to yourself.”
“I mean, what’s the point, Jack?! How long did we try?”
“A while, but-”
“I put you through so much with it that you couldn’t even stand to talk to the one person who needed to hear that you were just as heartbroken about it. I hurt so bad that you couldn’t stand me anymore.”
“Stop it.” Jack told you, squeezing your hand and frowning at you. “What I did had nothing to do with you. I didn’t talk about it because I thought your hurt was enough on its own.”
“Then why did you? After all this time, you still haven’t told me.” you finally admitted to the guessing game that Jack left you to play on your own.
“I don’t know. I-I felt like I couldn’t talk about it to you. And I understand that some other woman should’ve been the last person I told, but just watching you hurt when you even saw someone with a baby just made me feel like talking to you would’ve hurt you worse. I loved you, Y/N, and you know I still do, but I thought I was preserving some small bit of your peace.”
“That’s everything to do with me, Jack! You went to another woman to talk about the one thing I couldn’t give you because I just couldn’t handle it.”
“No, it’s because I wasn’t man enough to stand by my fucking wife.” he hissed, locking eyes with you and revealing his grief. “That’s why I don’t give a fuck about those papers, I’ll sign them a million times over if that’s what you want, but I will always owe you for our marriage. You deserve everything you want, Angel girl, and I am going to give it to you. It’s not up for discussion.”
You were quiet as you took in everything Jack said, feeling his guilt, his pain, but most of all his growth. You couldn’t help but wrap your hand in his. “I don’t want you to have a million regrets because you spent all this time feeling like you have to fix something that’s broken.”
“Do you regret marrying me?” he asked suddenly, and you practically flinched at the question. “Do you?"
“Jack, I’m-”
“Can you answer that one question, please?”
“I don’t regret marrying you because I loved you when I did it. I loved you through every minute we were together, but I can’t say I forgive you.”
Jack nodded his head and decided not to press further. In the silence, you picked up your phone and took a deep breath when you looked at the two minutes left on the timer. You set it for longer just to calm your worries, but now the anticipation was killing you. You looked down at Jack and found him staring at the two tests on the counter, quietly stroking his beard.
“When you came over that night and you saw that bra-”
“No.” you shook your head and held up your hand. “You don’t owe me that explanation and I don’t want it.”
Taking a deep breath, Jack swallowed and nodded.
The last two minutes inched by, and your hands trembled through each second. When it finally went off, your eyes met Jack’s. He stood up first and you clasped your hands.
“Do you need a minute?” he asked, and you nodded. “Do you want me to look first?”
“Please.”
You hated the way you felt, the way that every emotion seemed to fall out of place, and you had no idea what result you were dreading, or why you were so sad when you knew nothing yet, but most of all why you wanted Jack- a man you hardly wanted anything else to do with, was the best person to hold your hand through this.
He paused for a moment, letting you close your eyes before you gave him a curt nod as your go-ahead. Your eyes seemed glued shut, that maybe it would’ve been better to just look for yourself, rather than not know what Jack was looking at or even doing. He had a knack for making things seem better in your eyes than they actually were. He had done it for three years straight.
You were giving yourself a countdown from five before you decided to look for yourself, but by the time you got to two, there was already a deep breath and the clatter of the sticks against the counter.
“Fuck.” you mumbled, standing up and shaking your head as Jack stood there dumbfounded.
“Y/N,” he called after you as you stormed to your bedroom down the hall. “Y/N, come here.”
“This is all so stupid. I-I don’t know what made me think being a week off would mean I’m pregnant.” you rambled to yourself, and Jack watched as you emptied your drawers.
“What are you doing, angel, calm down.” he mumbled, approaching you and bending down next to you as you broke down into loud sobs.
Jack pulled your curled body into him, letting you clutch the fabric of his shirt while your entire body shook. He blinked back his tears and rubbed your back as you looked down into the drawer full of different onesies.
Jack knew how much you loved onesies, how before doctor’s appointments, you’d pick up a little onesie as a good luck charm. He knew that it’d become less of a charm now, and more of your grief finding itself. Jack shut his eyes and closed the drawer before hugging you tightly.
“Why, Jack? I’m young, I’m healthy, and I want this. More than anything, it’s what I want, but I can't have it.” you breathed loudly and Jack kissed your forehead. “Why’d I even try? Why’d you let me try?”
“I wanted it to happen too, Y/N, I hope you know that I did.”
“I don’t understand.” you looked up at Jack with red-rimmed eyes and let him wipe away your tears. “All wanted, Jack, all I wanted was to just make you happy. I’m sorry.”
“Y/N-”
“I don’t want either one of us to have regrets, Jack. It’s why I just signed the papers. I don’t want to be five years down the road and we hate each other because we spent our twenties fighting for something that we can’t have. I don‘t want to be the only thing holding you back.”
Jack paused, as if the entire world just unraveled in front of him. In a sense, it did, with the way you took a shaky breath and wiped your eyes, looking at him with so much guilt.
“Y/N, if that’s why you’re divorcing me, we need to cut this shit now. Because I don’t hate you, I could never hate you. If you think that giving me a baby is the only reason I married you, then you have no idea why I did in the first place. I’m never, ever going to regret us, angel, not ever.”
“I’m not going to give you the option to, Jack. I can’t spend the rest of my life not really knowing if my husband is miserable or not, not knowing if I’m miserable or not. I can’t wait for this to catch up with us.”
There was a beat of silence, and all the tension that built between you in every way came to a boiling point. Jack didn’t think before lunging towards your lips, cupping your face and bringing you back until you were nearly in his lap.
The kiss was anything but lustful. It was needy, it was desperate, it was rough, but it wasn’t lustful. Everything was laid out right then and there, two souls twisting into one before the other pulled back. Before you pulled back.
“Angel,” Jack breathed out, swallowing hard with his hands still on your cold face.
“Jack, I… might not be forgiving of what happened, but I do care for you. I love you, Jack, I do, and if it were anything else-”
“No, we can work this out. We can- fuck, Y/N, this is-”
“Jack.” you blinked, more tears falling as Jack pressed his forehead to yours. “I can’t do this. I can’t.”
“Baby, c’mon.” his voice was low and raspy as you kissed him once more. “It’s just this one thing, we don’t- we have everything else. I’ll make sure we do.”
“I know you would, but this is not worth it, Jack. It’s just not worth this toll. You’re stronger than me. I think it’s for the best if we just end it now, so we don’t get into this loop.”
“I will sign the papers next week, Y/N, but I am not leaving you. I can live with the regret of trying too hard if that’s really what’s going on here, but I fucking refuse to quit on you and have that be my regret.”
“Jack, I’m done trying.” you warned him, and he shrugged his shoulders.
“That makes it easier on me.”
In another air of silence, you pulled away from Jack and shook your head before sniffling. “It’s best if you go home now, I think, Jack.”
Without missing a beat, Jack responded to you with a firmness in his voice. “You’re really crazy if you think I’m leaving you by yourself tonight.”
You looked over your shoulder at him and he crossed his arms and pursed his lips in a way that made you shake your head and laugh.
“I don’t know how you could ever think I could regret marrying you, Jack Harlow. You know how to make me happy. You really, really do.”

“What are the odds you’ll help a friend of mine out?”
The first several months of everyone returning were rough; homes were rented out and sold. Jobs were taken over and lost. Foggy, Karen and Matt had a whole new set of clients, all needing help recovering what was lost five years ago. The offices of Nelson, Murdock and Page were constantly busy. Though Matt did his best to make time to spend with her. She’d taken up her receptionist position full time now, though only because she felt bad that they were so bombarded. Today, they were closing up early though.
Matt looked up from the case he was feeling over, brow raised. “Depends. Who is it?”
She hummed a little in response, looking over the newspaper in her hand. The front page showed Steve shaking Sam’s hand, holding the shield as he passed it down to the hero. Well deserved, truly. Though she was certain Sam would disagree with the sentiment. The bottom of the article had a blurry photo of Bucky, with a short blurb about his upcoming court appearance to determine if he would be pardoned.
“Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes?”
Foggy looked up from his computer, frowning now. “You want us to represent the Winter Soldier?”
“You represented me —“
“You didn’t murder people for seventy years!” Foggy argued, falling back in his chair.
Matt stopped going over his paperwork, cleaning back for a moment as he considered it. “We can meet with him. But it’ll have to wait until next week.”
She beamed, sitting up straight at her desk. “Really? Thank god.”
“You might want to hold onto that gratitude until after tonight,” Matt grinned, looking over at her.
Both she and Foggy rolled their eyes. Karen walked out of her office, grabbing her jacket. “Let’s go, you. We have things to do before tonight.”
She groaned, throwing herself back in her chair dramatically. “I don’t need to do all that, Karen —“
“Yes you do. Now get your coat; we’re gonna be late for your nail appointment.”
She stood up as Natasha sauntered in, jiggling her car keys. “You’re both too slow.”
“Do you ever knock?” Foggy asked, looking at Natasha with a teasing grin.
“Don’t like my surprise visits, Nelson?”
“I don’t mind, but I’m pretty sure my girlfriend hates them.”
“Poor Marci,” Natasha teased, rolling her eyes. “Let’s go, ladies. We got shit to do.”
Grabbing her jacket, she slipped around the desk. As she tried to walk over to Matt to say goodbye, though, Natasha grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the door.
“Nuh uh. It’s bad enough luck to see the bride before the wedding. You’re not kissing him before it either.”
“I haven’t technically seen her today —,” Matt tried to argue, but they were out the door already.
*****
“You can always back out —,”
“Nat, no —,”
“I’m just saying. I know places we can hide. As your maid of honor, it’s my job to protect you.”
She rolled her eyes, running her hands down the front of her dress. It was nothing fancy; a tea length white dress with embroidered leaves along the skirt. It was pretty, and simple, and that’s all she needed. She skipped the veil, insisting that it didn’t really matter since he couldn’t see her anyway, though Natasha insisted on a dainty tiara in its place. The boldest part of her ensemble were her shoes —a darker shade of red, resembling a rather familiar suit.
Karen was finishing the last touches of her make up before finally stepping back and smiling proudly. “And we are…done.”
“Just in time, I think that’s May coming to get to get you two,” she pointed out just as May opened the door. Peter trailed behind his aunt with a sheepish grin on his face.
“Alright, you two, get up there and take your places,” May ordered, shooing Karen and Natasha out the door.
“Thanks for letting us use the shelter,” she said, taking Peter’s arm as he held it out to her.
“Matt kept up the rent while we were gone,” May reminded her with a tender smile. “It’s the least I can do, really. We’ll get it reopened soon, but for now, it’s set up just for you.”
May hugged her tight, rattling on about how beautiful she was and how happy she was going to be. Offering marriage advice and all. Peter had to shoo his aunt out as the processional music started up. She swallowed hard, taking a deep breath.
“You ready?” Peter asked, waiting to open the doors.
“As I’ll ever be,” she whispered, smiling as he opened the doors for her.
It was a small ceremony, with only the most important people in both their lives there. Karen and Natasha stood at the altar, where Foggy and Matt stood as well. Peter would join Matt up there soon. Steve, Bucky and Sam sat on her side, with May conveniently between Steve and Bucky. Pepper and Morgan were there as well, with Clint, Thor and Dr. Banner. Jimmy and Scott sat in the back, waving excitedly at her. Even Fury and Hill made an appearance, sitting in the back. Foggy’s family, along with Marci, sat on Matt’s side. The kids were whispering amongst each other, pointing at all the heroes in the room.
With the doors opened, everyone stood and faced her. Matt turned as Foggy leaned in, no doubt trying to describe what she looked like. But he didn’t need to —because Matt’s vision of her appeared before him. His breath hitched as Peter walked her down the aisle, and Matt covered his mouth as she slowly approached him at the altar.
There were no words to describe the feelings Matt had. Nothing could compare to what she looked like, walking to him. Preparing to be his for the rest of their lives. He took off his glasses, wiping his eyes as he felt himself start to tear up. She couldn’t help the smile that spread over her face as she stopped in front of the altar. Peter wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tight. When he let go, he stepped beside Foggy, who clapped him on the shoulder gently.
Maggie approached the couple, standing under the arch holding the Bible in her hands. She was smiling at Matt, tears in her own eyes.
“Please, be seated,” Maggie announced, holding the Bible close to her chest. “We have come together today for a wonderful occasion.” Maggie looked between her and Matt, wiping her own eyes. “You’ll need to forgive me; I may cry myself here. Because we are here to see the holy union of my son, and his beautiful fiancée.”
There was a short pause, and after a moment, Maggie spoke up once more. “The question is asked, ‘is there anything more beautiful in life than a boy and a girl clasping clean hands and pure hearts in the path of marriage? Can there be anything more beautiful than young love? And the answer is given.’” She looked down at her Bible, opening it slowly as she leafed through her own written notes. “And yes, there is a more beautiful thing. It is an old man and an old woman finishing their life’s journey together on that path. Their hands are gnarled, but still clasped; their faces are wrinkled but still radiant; their hearts are physically bowed and tired, but still strong with love and devotion for one another. Yes there is a more beautiful thing than young love. Old love.
“You two will find that, even when the road gets hard and people tell you that you cannot be led by blind faith, love will guide you. You both have faced your fair share of heartbreak and pain, but you have found yourselves drawn to each other. And that is a love worth worshipping.”
Maggie motioned to Foggy, who pulled the wedding bands out of his pocket. He had handed one to Matt, and the other to her.
“Do you have vows prepared?” Maggie asked, closing her Bible and clutching it to her chest once more.
She nodded once, handing her bouquet to Natasha, who swapped it out for a piece of paper. “I…I wrote these when we first talked about getting married,” she admitted, unfolding the page. “Matt, I love you. I have loved you since the moment you laid on the floor of my apartment with me, and you saw me for the first time. Even after everything we have gone through…you still do it for me, Matt. And even if things go wrong, or life decides to take another swing at us…I think we might just get away with being happy. As long as I have you.” She folded the page again, taking a deep breath as Natasha took it back.
Matt smiled at her, wiping his eyes again as Maggie motioned for him to begin. “I know that I haven’t made it easy to love me. I have done so much, making it feel like we were crazy for making this work. But we did; however I said something when we first started this and I…I have to take it back.” Matt paused, running a hand across his jaw as he took a breath. “Do you remember how I said I’d die for you?” She nodded once, looking up at him with tears in her eyes. “I don’t want to die for you; I want to live for you. And that is more than I ever thought I could want.”
Maggie covered her mouth, trying to keep herself from crying. A deep breath from her and she fanned herself for a moment before she looked between the two. “If there are no objections to this union —though, even if there is, I will choose to ignore you —please, Matthew, present the ring.” Matt took her hand gently, sliding it on her finger as Maggie spoke. “With this ring, do you promise to love her through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse, so long as you shall live?”
Matt nodded frantically, looking to her. “I do.”
Maggie turned to her next, smiling brightly. “Please, present the ring.” She took Matt’s hand, lifting it with trembling hands as she slipped the ring onto his finger. “With this ring, do you promise to love him through sickness and health, for richer or poorer, for better or for worse, so long as you shall live?”
“I do. I really do,” she promised, holding Matt’s hand tight in hers.
“Then, by the power vested in me by the state of New York as well as the eyes of God, I now pronounce you man and wife. Please, you may kiss your bride.”
There was no hesitation as Matt pulled her into his arms, kissing her with every ounce of love he had in his body. Everything they had gone through, everything they had dealt with and lost —it had led to this moment. Her arms wrapped around his neck, holding him close as she poured all of herself into the kiss, basking in the warmth that was their forever.
When they pulled away, they grinned at each other like fools, noses brushing against each other. The members of the ceremony stood, throwing applause and cheers at them. Whistling and shouting surrounded them as they stood there, lost in each other for a moment.
“I love you, Mrs. Murdock.”
“And I love you, Mr. Murdock.”

You shouldn’t be this nervous, there’s nothing to be afraid of. You don’t even think Sebastian would take the news in a bad way, if anything, he is going to be thrilled, that’s for sure. But for some reason you’re still scared to tell him. Probably because it’s not how you planned it, not now at least. It’ll change your upcoming plans, but it’s not the end of the world and you know he’ll be happy about it. Maybe it’s just the nerves, because you haven’t even gotten used to the thought of being pregnant yourself.
It’s been only a few days since you found out, Sebastian has been away this past week and you didn’t want to go to the doctor’s without him, so you only have a handful of positive tests, but those all came back undeniably positive so you don’t have much doubt about it.
He texted you not long ago that he just touched down and he would be home soon, he is picking up dinner on his way and now you’re just anxiously waiting for him, trying to figure out how to tell him. At first you wanted to do something special, but you’re not too good at making up plans like this so you decided to just tell him without any fuss about it. But you can’t seem to find the right words now that you’re thinking about what you should even say.
You hear his keys jingling in the lock and your heart skips a beat as you jump to your feet from the couch.
“Hi baby!” he calls out as you make your way to the hallway where he is standing with his suitcase, backpack and a big paper bag from your favorite diner nearby.
“Hi!” you breathe out, feeling a little sentimental to see him again even though he was only away for a week. You’ve went without seeing each other for even two months before, this was nothing compared to that, but still, you are so happy he is back.
“Hey there, missed me?” he chuckles when you throw your arms around his neck, hugging him tightly as his arms circle around your waist as you bury your face in the crook of his neck, the familiar scent of his cologne filling your nostrils.
“Always,” you mumble, pressing a kiss to his skin before leaning back, eyes meeting his bright gaze, the wrinkles running from the corners of his eyes because he is smiling at you widely.
“I missed you too, baby. Brought your favorite,” he hums, loosening his hold around you as he holds up the paper bag.
“Because you’re the best,” you smile at him, taking the food from him as he grabs his suitcase and rolls it into the bedroom, leaving the unpacking for later. You set the dining table for two, unpacking everything he brought while you’re chewing on your bottom lip, trying to figure out how to bring up the big news.
Walking out of the bedroom Sebastian hugs you from behind, his hands slipping under your shirt to the bare skin of your stomach and you almost gasp at the feeling.
Can he feel any change?
It’s a stupid question, nothing can be seen just yet, the baby is as small as a raisin, there’s no way he noticed anything.
“I’m gonna get the drinks,” he hums, pressing a kiss to your temple before walking to the fridge, grabbing two bottled beers for the dinner and you open your mouth seeing the alcoholic drinks, making him stop in his tracks. “You want something else?”
“I…” You take a deep breath, it’s a now or never moment. “Sit down, let’s talk,” you tell him with a soft smile and he nods, but you can see the suspicion in his eyes.
“Everything alright?”
“Yeah,” you nod as the two of you sit at the table and you take one of his hands, playing with the ring you bought him for your latest anniversary not long ago. You’ve been dating for over three years now and though it didn’t start as easy and unproblematic as it should have, people judged the two of you for the ten year age gap, but eventually it died down when they realized it’s not as weird as it might seem. You knew he is the perfect man for you the moment you met him at a bar when you were out with a few friends. The bartender mixed up your drinks at the bar and that’s how you started talking. He didn’t hesitate to ask for your number and you had your first date the next day right away. The rest is history, now you’ve been living together for almost a year and you’re happier than ever.
“I have something to tell you,” you start, talking slow and a little hesitantly.
“Are you sure everything is alright?” he asks, knitting his eyebrows together as he examines you with worry all over his face.
“Yes. Or… I hope so,” you add with a nervous chuckle. Letting go of his hand you walk to the console table under the TV and pulling out the top drawer you grab one of the positive tests hidden in there. Walking back to Sebastian you just simply place it in his open palm and intently watch his face as it turns from puzzled to shocked and wide-eyed. His head shoots up when he processes what it is, lips parted and his beautiful blue eyes are slowly watering while your nervous smile is widening at his reaction.
“Is this for real?” he asks in a whisper and you nod your head.
“I took a couple of tests, but I wanted to wait for you to go to the doctor’s. But all my tests came back positive.”
“Oh my God! A baby!” he chuckles, a tear running down his cheek as he wraps you in his embrace, holding you tighter than ever, kissing you wherever he can reach you; your shoulder, cheeks, temple, forehead and lastly, your lips.
“I know this wasn’t how we planned, but I hope it’s not an entirely bad timing,” you add while your tears start falling from your eyes as well, arms around his neck as he sways you from side to side.
The baby talk has already come up several times and the two of you agreed to try to keep yourself to a kind of schedule. Sebastian has two filmings coming up in the next six months and you also hinted that you’d like to at least get engaged before starting a family. He seemed to get the message and you have a feeling he has been planning to propose on your birthday that’s coming up next week, but now you got a little ahead of everything with the baby.
“Love, it’s never a bad timing,” he chuckles, kissing you again shortly. “We can make it work, it’s going to be just fine. I’ll try to mess around with my schedule to finish sooner but even if I can’t, I’ll still be done with work before the little one arrives,” he explains and your heart is so full seeing him so excited about it all. Suddenly, you feel so silly for thinking even for a second that he wouldn’t be happy about the news. You knew he wants it to happen, it just came a little sooner than you expected, that’s all.
“I have an appointment booked for tomorrow with my doctor,” you tell him sheepishly.
“Can I come?” he asks with bright eyes, taking your face in his hands as he grins at you like crazy.
“Of course!” you chuckle nodding. “I wouldn’t even go without you.”
“Oh God, I’m so excited!” he cheers, lifting you up from the ground, spinning around as you hold onto him laughing. “I love you so much, baby. So, so much!” He starts kissing you all over your face, leaving your lips last, but when he gets there, he kisses you with so much passion, he sweeps you right off your feet.
“I love you too,” you mumble against his lips, feeling happier than ever in your life.

You let out a breath of relief as you dropped the last brown box into the corner of the room. How you managed to own this much stuff, you’d never know. Glanced around the living room, it was difficult to decide where to begin. After much contemplation, you huffed and picked up the pizza catalogue, deciding to call it a day.
It was unbearable to leave the house in the mess that it was. On the other hand, your right hip wailed in agony every time you bent down. Lacking the much-needed support of friends or family, you had no option but to suck it up and unpack… but that can wait till tomorrow.
Fishing out just the necessities for the night, you climbed up the stairs and headed into the master bedroom. Massive house for one person, you noted. You did insist that an apartment would suffice but Tony was a stickler for rules.
All Stark employees have to be residents of a Stark-Jensen neighbourhood.
Before getting the job, you weren’t even aware that “Stark-Jensen” neighbourhoods were a thing; it was a term coined by the tech company itself, referring to neighbourhoods that are protected by Stark-Jensen technology. The crime rate in these neighbourhoods are always startlingly low, the odd criminal or two being from inside the community itself. All things considered, how could you say no to free housing?
Sure, the security measures assured that you never had to worry, but it also made you wonder why they were there in the first place. This place was as secure as the Stark Tower; why? You tried not to ask too many questions, afraid of getting on Tony’s bad side. Besides, it isn’t characteristic of him to give you a straight answer anyway.
Life is good, your most harrowing concern at the moment being that your new place had no curtains. It had been a long time since things were calm and you were just recognizing that your days had been free of storms for some time now. Counting your blessings for the second time that night, you stepped into the shower and reminded yourself of all the things to be grateful for.
To say you were in a good mood was an understatement. You finished your night routine right as the pizza was delivered and excitedly skipped down. No one told you how fun living alone was but they didn’t need to - you quickly found that independence is a glorious necessity in everyone’s life.
Jake stood bewildered at your person throwing the door open. He gripped the pizza box tight to ensure he didn’t drop it and continued to look at you like you had grown a third head. He never was very good with his words, but your beauty truly inhibited his ability to think.
“Hi?” you asked.
“Hey, I-I’m your neighbour, Jake. Saw that you were moving in and I came to ask if you need any help.”
“Oh,” you contemplated, looking past him. “Where’s the pizza person?”
“I paid for it. Housewarming gift?” he  said like a question and handed it over.
You received the warm box and waited for him to say something as he fiddled with his hands. His smile looks so familiar but you couldn’t place your finger on it.
“So…Do you need help?” He looked up right at the end. You grinned at how shy he was.
“I would really appreciate the help tomorrow,” you replied casually.
“Oh, so… I’ll come by tomorrow morning?” He looked hopeful, as if you were the one handing him the olive branch. You took a once-over of his build, sure that he would come handy when your hip gives up again and nodded in response.
He nodded back slowly and turned around to leave, but seeing him at your doorstep felt eerily similar to a puppy left out in the rain.
“I don’t think I can finish this pizza alone,” you called out. He turned around, a glint of happiness apparent in the shine of his eyes.
“Do you have time to help me with this right now?” It was your turn to look hopeful and you really hoped this cutie took the bait.
He did.
You couldn’t ignore the nagging at the back of your head that you had seen him somewhere. You also couldn’t dismiss the fact that dinner together was just a little awkward. The conversation started off with small talk, and it didn’t take a genius to tell that neither of you enjoyed it. Luckily, it shifted to talks about the neighbourhood and your old job. After that, the words flowed easily, the two of you bonding like you had known each other forever. Although it was smooth sailing, you couldn’t help but wonder how he knows so much about the neighbourhood security measures. When he mentioned that he had lived there for about 6 years, you chalked it up to a simple accumulation of knowledge he must’ve acquired from being around for so long.
“So everyone who lives around here works for Stark-Jensen, right?” you questioned, trailing your finger on the rim of your second wine glass for the night.
“Yeah, for the most part. Though it’s hard to tell who works for who.”
You chuckled in agreement.
“What is it with that? I mean, I work for Stark, and my colleagues, too… but exclusively for Stark. Jensen does exist right?”
“Yeah,” he snickered, “He does. Stark makes the tech and Jensen does the coding.”
“So they’re a two-man team, but Tony’s the face of the company? Seems sort of unfair,” you muttered, quirking your brow a little.
Jake smiled at your comment, glanced at his hands and looked back up at you.
“Maybe he wants it to be that way.” He nudged his glasses up and took a little sip of his wine while peering at you.
You cocked your head to the side and considered the information. Your head was hazy and you needed to stop drinking; alcohol and cute guys are not a good mix.
“Wait.” You squinted at him.
“Does that mean you’re a Stark-Jensen employee?”
He let out a chortle and took your glass from you.
“Hey, hey I want that back!” you whined, not even caring that you’re embarrassing yourself.
“I think that’s enough for today.” He gently helped you up, waiting for you to move.
“I can usually handle my liquor,” you promised, clinging onto his broad form for support.
He started moving you up to your lone mattress in the corner of your room, softly laying you down.
“Jake,” you caught his arm. “You didn’t answer the question. Do you work for Stark-Jensen?”
“Yeah, something like that.”
You pouted at his answer, still gripping his wrist like you owned him. He tenderly pried your fingers off him and placed them on your belly.
“See you tomorrow,” he mumbled as he left your room. You drifted asleep easily, blissfully unaware of how you’d never be able to live down the humiliation of your drunken stupor.
The next day, you hoped Jake wouldn’t show up. It would save you from the burning heat that crept up your neck every time you recalled the night before.
Unfortunately, Jake had found it way too amusing an opportunity to tease you, showing up at your doorstep at 10 AM on the dot.
The day went on without a hitch, the conversation picking up easily from where you left off. Jake found it endearing when you groaned at the mention of your state, only after three glasses of wine. The question of his employment never crossed your mind again, both of you having way too much fun unpacking. You felt ten times better knowing that your neighbour was a loveable, single, hunky nerd; it made the stress of settling in that much better.
Of course, like all good things, the weekend came to an end. Monday morning, you eagerly prepped yourself for a new week at the office. Being Tony’s right hand took five rounds of interviews as well as background checks into every living relative you had. After the turbulent hiring process, you found that the job was not any easier. Luckily, the move had you feeling more thankful about being in sync with all the Stark tech; with FRIDAY managing your house and personal appointments, it was easier to keep track of Tony’s day.
You stepped out of the house and shielded your eyes from the beautiful day. Just then, your lovely new friend stepped onto his porch wearing casual attire.
“Have fun at work!” he called after you.
“Thanks! Are you going to work?”
“Yes, I am.” You took in his outfit one more time, chuckling as you wondered what job would pay enough to live here while dressed in sweats.
“Well, in case I don’t see ya’... Good afternoon, good evening and good night!” you exclaim loudly.
Jake giggled like a schoolboy and waved goodbye before ducking into his car.
Tony’s 10 AM meeting has been pushed to 11 AM, Miss L/N.
“No, no, that won’t do! He has another meeting at 12 PM, the timing will clash. FRIDAY, who was he supposed to meet at 10 AM?”
Speaking to the AI felt more like talking to yourself, but with time, you assured yourself that it would look as cool as Stark when handling your things.
He’s meeting Mr Jensen, the co-founder of Stark-Jensen. I believe you have not met him yet.
“Yeah, I haven’t. Could you call him for me, FRIDAY?”
Sorry Miss L/N, Mr Jensen’s phone is switched off. He has already notified Tony of the change in plans.
“What an asshole,” you grumbled.
On the contrary, I think you would like Mr Jensen, Miss L/N.
“You can just call me Y/N, FRIDAY. Oh, and, send out a notification to all of today’s meeting hosts and tell them to push it by one hour. If they complain, send them my number to take up any problems they have.”
It’ll be done by the time you reach your office.
“Thank you,” you smiled and pulled into your parking spot, right beside Tony’s.
It was hard to imagine what would’ve happened today if Tony didn’t give you access to FRIDAY. Calling each meeting host and personally asking them to push their meetings seemed like a tedious and mind-bending task. And frankly, you didn’t ever look forward to talking to Karen’s. But now, you would never have to know; FRIDAY was an absolute godsend.
You stepped onto the other side of security clearance just as the clock struck 9 AM. Strutting up to your office, you made a mental checklist of everything you need to do during the day. Usually, Tony didn’t require you to sit in for his meetings. He has a different set of assistants for note-taking purposes.
Too consumed by your thoughts, you didn’t notice the large picture of Jake and Tony sitting side by side on the wall beside the elevators. You also didn’t notice Jake’s smirk as he passed by you with ease. He would’ve stopped to say hi, but he knew that you didn’t realize who he was yet. Now he just had to figure out a way to get you to show up to his and Tony’s meeting and give you the heart attack of a lifetime.
Beep, beep.
The Stark-watch buzzed on your wrist, letting you know that Tony was calling for you. You had barely even stepped into the elevator and he was already whining like a baby.
You shook your head and stepped into the doorframe of his lab.
“Come here!” his voice called from the far end of a lab. Your suspicions of him being under the work table were confirmed when he wheeled out on his back and handed you a wrench.
“Do me a favour. Tighten this for me?”
He handed you the arm of an Iron Man suit, what you assumed was his latest mark. He already lived at the lab as it was, you wondered how he ever had time for Pepper.
“Come on, put your arm into it L/N! You know what, you’re distracted, give it here.”
“Did you call me here to tighten your screws?” You shifted your weight onto one leg and crossed your arms. It was sassy of you, but Tony’s assistant needs to have some backbone, famously said by Rhodey.
“Well, you know me, screws always loose.” He knocked on his head and chuckled at his own joke. You sighed and turned to walk out.
“I need you to sit in for my 11 o’clock. And cancel everything else today.”
You gasped and turned again, marching to where he was lying down.
“Tony Stark, you have no regard for anyone’s time! I already pushed everything back by one hour because of your buddy Jensen and now you’re asking me to cancel everything?”
“I know, and I agree. I wish I could go to the mind-numbing meetings with corporate clowns, but I want to show you and Jensen something cool.”
He stopped fiddling with his toy just long enough to glance at you.
You sighed and called for FRIDAY, groaning for the umpteenth time since that morning. Why were you acting like this was the first time he’s done this? It was probably your lack of energy from moving. You couldn’t wait to get home and maybe call Jake over for dinner. Now that you considered this possibility, time seemed to pass slower, but at least there was something worthwhile to look forward to.
When 10:55 rolled around, you were sitting in Tony’s lab, patiently waiting as Tony set up his latest invention for demonstration.
“Where’s your buddy?” you asked, checking your watch for the time again.
“On his way,” he replied without turning away from his work.
He paused and took a step back to admire his work before facing you.
“You haven’t met Jake, have you?”
“Jake?”
Right on cue, Jake walked through the doors of the labs and you whipped around to find your grinning friend.
“Howdy neighbour,” Jake sneered.
“Oh, right. You live beside each other,” Tony muttered as he gathered some more things from his desk.
You shamelessly inhaled the pinewood and vanilla-infused scent of Jake as he sat down beside you. To have him so close to you was a dangerous thing, your cunt unknowingly clenching every time he moved his biceps.
“Stop making heart-eyes at him.”
You threw whatever was in your hand at Tony’s head, and it happened to be a pen. It narrowly missed as he ducked and doubled over in laughter at your embarrassment. The bastard took sick pleasure in it so he often made it a point to humiliate you, but it usually wasn’t in front of the co-CEO of the world’s largest tech company.
The rest of your time in that lab went on without any heart attacks - as far as anyone knew, the slick between your thighs doesn’t account for a ‘heart attack’, per se. You shouldn’t even be thinking about Jake like that. He was technically your boss too.
Tony dismissed you at lunch and told you to take the rest of the day off, much to your delight. You slid into your car and dropped your head onto the steering wheel.
You had barely moved into the neighbourhood and you’re already finding ways to be fired.
Tumblr media
~Time skip~
You sighed and laid back in the over-the-top maternity chair Jake got you for feeding. Your baby gurgled as curled his little fingers into his palm before knocking on your breast once. With a light chuckle, you cooed as the little bundle began falling asleep.
This was the only place in the house that had a sliver of sunlight gracing the inside of the house.
You could have outdoor privileges if you didn’t pull that little stunt.
Could you really blame yourself for trying to leave? How were you to know that it’s impossible to leave a Stark-Jensen neighbourhood?
Because it says “Stark-Jensen” in the name, you dumbass.
Fair enough.
You lost count of how many times you sigh on the daily, instead opting to count the number of times you’re able to hold off a mental breakdown. Today, you got the rare privilege of privacy, with Jake being gone to another one of Stark’s presentation.
You reminisced about the last time you sat in Tony’s lab and watched him explain his latest creation. Little did you know that the first time you sat with Jake in there would also be the last time you ever sat in there.
You gently placed the Jim in the cradle. Again, one of the many over-the-top investments made by Jake to ensure the baby got state-of-the-art care. The way Jensen had made you sit beside him as he put the contraption together almost had you lurching. But you didn’t want to wake the baby. The horridness of the memories cannot outweigh your will to keep Jimmy from crying.
“Look at it!”, Jake excitedly spun the box to show you. It must’ve cost an unreasonable amount of money - not that he couldn’t spare to spend the coin, but the purchase confirmed your worst suspicions; he was serious about this all.
Your eyes, puffy from the days of crying, were barely open. Yet you still nodded, figuring that if you put up with his enthusiasm now, he’ll let you go to sleep without raping you like he did every night.
Anyway, you were wrong.
When did everything go so wrong?; How?
You picked up your phone. Your eyes flickered between the only two contacts saved on it. Jake made sure you couldn’t do anything except call him or Tony.
You missed your ex-boss (who was always more of a friend to you). But, it was obvious that calling him wasn’t worth it and would rarely yield any fruitful conversation. Tony always spoke as if he were walking on glass around you and your words were always monitored and censored by Jake. It didn’t take long to figure that one out.
“I don’t know what happened, Tony, she’s just unhinged,” Jake explained over the phone. In the background, you struggled against the bonds that held you to his bedframe. You sobbed harder into your gag and tried to scream ‘help’. All that came out was a shriek.
“You hear her? She’s completely unfit to come into work… What happened? I don’t know man… She’s breaking down under all the stress. A few days of rest might do the trick. No, no, you don’t have to come down. I’ll take care of it.”
He ended the call and you went limp, pausing your hysteria. He smiled at you as if he hadn’t kidnapped you. As if he hadn’t just made Tony believe that you were off your rockers. As if he hadn’t just fucked you five times over the span of 48 hours.
He had planned every step of your entrapment to the letter and it was all going according to his plan.
You put your phone facedown on the dining table and walked back upstairs to your room. His room. Your room, too.
Never, you internally screamed.
Well, it’s too late to debate it.
You stood at the foot of your bed and traced the footboard. He took you countless amount of times on this bed and every instance held some clue that he was working up to what was happening now. You could see that now - but what was the point now?
You giggled as Jake pushed you onto his bed. Who knew this golden retriever could be so rough?
“Shhshshshhh” you slurred and Jake laughed in response.
“Tony’s not here, baby,” he replied, climbing on top of you.
“We’re not gonna get fired?”
“He can’t fire me, sweetheart.”
“Oh… yeah.” You frowned, remembering that your risqué relationship was only risky for you.
In your drunken haze, you didn’t realize Jake was rubbing his bulbous tip against your folds, gathering slick.
“Condom?”
“Don’t have,” Jake lied.
“Oh,” you hesitated.
“It’ll feel so good, baby.” He nuzzled his nose into the crook of your neck and sunk in before you had the chance to protest.
“Jakeeee,” you whined. Writhing under his grasp, you shook your head side-to-side as he vigorously fucked into you.
He abruptly stopped and pulled out. “What have I said about saying my name?”
“I’m sorry, daddy,” you sheepishly say.
“That’s right, slut. You’re gonna make me a daddy, right?” He pushed back in.
“Yeah, you are. Gonna make me a daddy, so call me daddy.”
The implication of his words flew right over your head in your drunken haze and blank mind. Any ounce of sense that you had left was being fucked out by his thick length.
“Gonna blow my load. Fill you tight cunt, not gonna last long.”
His words were broken with loud moans. He couldn’t think straight with your warm, wet pussy inviting him in over and over.
As you shook from an overwhelming orgasm, your pussy involuntarily clenched, causing Jake to lose any last bit of restraint he was holding onto. He pushed in as far as he could go as you flailed around. He pinned your arms down and pressed his mouth into yours, delivering a hot and heavy kiss that had you panting.
He pulled out, but the string of cum that followed made you blanch. You never were one for cum play. Still, you didn’t protest when Jake pushed everything back in with two fingers.
“Gotta’ make sure you’re full baby.”
You shake your head now, but again, what’s the point? It’s all done and dusted. Though, you should give yourself some credit. Even if you had realized earlier, it wouldn’t have made a difference. He would’ve realized that you knew before you could’ve even thought about escaping.
As you drifted asleep, you adjusted the volume of the baby monitor one last time and slumped into the fluffy pillows.
How do you wake up from dreams? Was it by pinching yourself? You couldn’t wake up from the nightmare that was your reality when you pinched yourself. You doubted that would work right now. You couldn’t recall how to open your eyes. Instead, you whimpered in your sleep, reliving the moment Jake finally revealed his ulterior motive
Tumblr media
“You did what?” Jake was seething, but the only indication of it was his clenching jaw and red face. His tone was the perfect embodiment of the calm before a storm.
“I know you aren’t happy… but Jake, you- you’re always talking about babies and a family. It was so overwhelming and I… I-I…” You were shivering now, unable to withstand the heat of his glare. You had never been on the receiving end of his anger. Hell, you had never even seen him angry.
“I didn’t have an abortion, Jake, for god’s sake stop looking at me like a killed a baby! Plan B is not a crime. I’m only even bringing this up because I started on birth control anyway. Plan B every time we have sex is just not practical or feasible.”
At this point, you could’ve been speaking to a wall. Jake still hadn’t said anything and you were beginning to wonder if he had even been listening.
“I can’t believe I didn’t notice,” he whispered, at last.
“What?”
“I watch you do everything, I can’t believe I didn’t know about the Plan B.”
“What… What are you saying?”
“I said,” Jake stood up, “I’ve basically been watching you 24/7. And I don’t know how I didn’t notice this.”
“What do you mean watching me?” Tears in your waterline were threatening to blur your vision but you blinked furiously in an attempt to keep looking Jake in the eyes.
“You think FRIDAY works for you?”
Jake leisurely cracked each knuckle and took a step towards you. You took one back.
“Oh, now, don’t be like that.”
Tumblr media
You woke from your nightmare that was the boiling pot and jumped straight into the fire. Jake was already moving in and out of your channel, moaning about how he missed you too much.
You tried to adjust yourself but he caught your arms and pulled out just long enough to flip you onto your stomach.
When he pushed back in, the hopelessness of your life manifested as tears; it happens every once in a while.
Today, you had a new record: you were able to hold off a total of 7 breakdowns.
But, of course, that was right before he pinched you awake every time.

Chris paced back and forth as he tried to call you for the 10th time. It was the next day, he was sober and the images from last night clouded his brain. Seeing the pain and anger on your face as he said he wish he never married you.
Seeing isabella crying from his disgusting words. That hurt him the most, he regret everything.
The phone went to voicemail again making Chris groan. You had every right to not talk to you, but he wanted to know you and isabella was okay. You were still his wife.
Chris sighed sitting down on the couch. He rubbed his eyes with his palm, exhaling for the hundredth time.
The house phone on the table beside the couch rung causing Chris to quickly grab it. He thought it was you but no, it was your doctor.
"hi is this Mrs Evans?" Chris frowned, "uh no but this is Mr Evans." Chris said, he was deeply confused.
"oh well you tell Mrs Evans that have her next appointment date to check on the baby."
Chris stood up, he wasn't sure he heard right. "I'm sorry, the baby?"
The innocence lady on the other side of the phone phone gasped, "oh I'm sorry, you didn't know."
"no it's fine." Chris sighed softly, his heart picking up speed in his chest. "I'll tell her, thank you." He hung up the phone throwing it onto the couch. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" He mumbled to himself. He really needed to find you and isabella.
*
You laid in the uncomfortable bed, isabella sleeping soundly beside you. It was around 8 in the morning and thoughts from yesterday filled your mind.
"I wish I never married you"
"Forget isabella, I don't care about her stupid play"
It hurt just knowing he thought those things. It took some time last night, but you managed to go to sleep around 3am. Now it was morning time, you were in a crappy hotel, and Chris was blowing up your phone like crazy.
You sighed pulling back the blanket. You walked to the bathroom. You looked in the mirror, your almost 3 month along bump was showing. You tore your eyes from it looking at your face. You were trying not to think about Chris in that moment.
"get it together y/n." You whispered to yourself.
"mommy." You looked back to the doorway seeing isabella. Her stuff bear was in her hands as she rubbed her sleepy eye with the other hand.
"good morning honey."
You walked over to her, "did you sleep good?" Isabella looked up at you. "Yeah, I slept great." You laughed, "that's great. Uh do you wanna go get some breakfast? We can eat some pancakes and waffles, what you say bug?"
Isabella started to think, it was almost like you can see the wheels turning in her head. "Uhh yeah. Can we see daddy too?"
Your stomach did a flip, you didn't think she'll be okay with what he said about her, but She was 6 so maybe that was the reason.
"umm... Yeah, yeah. We can see daddy." Isabella smiled, "okay, I watch TV now." She walked back over to the bed, hopping in it. You exhaled, running your hands over your face. Here goes nothing you thought to yourself.
*
Chris phone ringing interrupting him from his daze. He picked it up seeing your contact. His heart picked up as he answered it.
"y/n, are you okay?" On the other side of the phone you sighed, "yeah, I'm fine. Look um isabella want see you so can you meet us at the diner at (some street name)?"
Chris nodded even though you couldn't see him. "Yeah, of course." He walked to the foyer to put on his shoes. "Umm, I love you." Chris said. He wasn't expecting you to say it back, but you did. When you did, his heart skipped and a smile formed on his face.
You hung up the phone. You let out a sigh once again. Here goes nothing.
*
You sat in the diner, isabella beside you coloring in the booklet they gave her. You both were waiting for Chris to come.
Your mind was filled, you couldn't even figure out what you were thinking about at all at this point.
After waiting a few more minutes, you heard the diner door open. In walked Chris. In his hands was a bouquet of flowers and stuffed animal. You were guessing it was his apologize.
He walked over to you both, just like yours, his heart was beating pretty hard in his chest.
"hey." Chris smiled shyly at you as you got up. "Hi." You tore your eyes from his, looking down at isabella. She was looking up at her daddy with a soft smile on her face. Chris kneeled down to her height. "Hi baby." He said to her softly. "I'm sorry for yesterday, I didn't mean any of it, I promise. Can you forgive me?"
isabella's small smile grew to a bigger one. "Yeah." Chris smiled at her. "Okay, give me a hug."
Isabella giggled as she Wrapped her arms around his neck. Chris hugged her close. He felt relived she forgave him, he felt so bad for saying what he said to her and he's going to spend the rest of his life making it up to her.
He pulled away from her, he handed the stuffed animal to her before standing back up.
He looked back at you. "Uh these are for you. It's not an apology, I'll give you a sincere apology later, but for now I have these." He looked at you, he had bags under his eyes from his sleepless night, and tear streaks on his cheeks from the crying he did.
you quickly tore your eyes from His taking the flowers. "Thanks." You cleared your throat. "Uh shall we have breakfast?"
Chris inhaled, "yeah." He walked over to the opposite side of the table and took a seat. You did the same sitting back beside isabella. You all ordered trying to forget about the tension that was very much between you and Chris. It was nice that you both were talking, but you just couldn't wait for the much needed talk later that night.
*
It was around 8 pm. You and Chris decided to drop her off at his mom's house. You didn't want what happened the day before to happen again.
You sat on the couch fiddling with your shirt end. Chris was in the kitchen getting you both something to drink before you talked.
"so um.. I got you some water." Chris said walking over to you handing you the glass of water. You thanked him Taking a sip before placing it on the coffee table. Chris sat beside you with a sigh.
"I.. I'm sorry for yesterday. I didn't mean any of it. It just slipped out because I was drunk and tired, I wasn't in my right head space in the moment and I took out on you and Bella and I'm sorry." He breathed out. He scanned your face waiting for you to speak. You shook your head, you didn't look at him but you spoke.
"yeah you're sorry, but you really hurt me. I wish I was never, that's fucked up and it hurts so much. If you never wanted to marry me why did you?"
You turned to Chris, tears threatening to spill over. The look on your face hurted Chris, he fucked up big time and he knew it.
"no, I didn't mean that, I swear. I love you more than anything. I don't regret marrying you, it was just a stupid mistake... I'm sorry baby."
Tears were starting to form in chris' eye. He felt guilty, he knew no amount of words could fix what he done but he was sorry more than anything.
"you promise?" You looked at him. Your lips were trembling Because of your crying.
"I promise." Chris said. He cupped your cheek with his hand. He placed a light kiss on your nose, but it wasn't enough for you. You went way too long without kissing him, you weren't going to waste another second not.
You grabbed his chin kissing him. Somehow his chap lips felt soft. They felt like home to you, you missed them so much.
You pulled away looking back at Chris. "I have something I need to tell you." You said fiddling with his hands.
"I'm pregnant."
Chris gave you a sour look, you already knew why. "You know?" Chris nodded, "the doctor called. they have an appointment for you, they want you to call them back to tell you."
You exhaled, "well... Surprise." You laughed making Chris smile. He missed that sound. He's been gone for so many nights he totally forgot how it sounded.
"can I come to the next appointment?" Chris pouted his lip making you laugh. "Of course you can. You need to your little peanut. I'm thinking it's a boy"
Chris frowned, "no I'm pretty sure it's a girl."
"you haven't seen them yet." You said to him Rolling your eyes playfully. "I know but I want another princess."
"touche."

It was no secret to the Baker family that Y/N suffered with depression and severe anxiety because of her past. When Y/N’s parents passed away in a horrible car accident when she was only 6, Laura and Billy had no hesitation when it came to adopting her as one of their own as they were best friends with Y/N’s parents. It became apparent early on that Y/N suffered from depression and anxiety due to the trauma she had experienced, therefore the Bakers’ tried everything they could to make her feel safe, welcome and happy as well as sending her to therapy. The majority of the time, Y/N had a really good handle on things and went years without having a depressive breakdown, however, this year marked 10 years without her parents. The closer the day came, the more breakdowns she suffered, and Y/N couldn’t help but wonder why her parents had to die that day.
Not that she didn’t appreciate everything the Bakers’ have done for her, but she couldn’t help but wonder how much happier she would be if her parents didn’t die in that accident; how she wouldn’t be suffering and feeling like the only release was self-harming. She was too embarrassed to tell anyone how she was feeling, so she just resorted to self-harm as a way of releasing the pain, which seemed to be working. Her thoughts were interrupted when Billy knocked on her door and peaked her head in.
“Hey sweetie. No school again today?” he asked in a heavyhearted tone. Honestly, it broke his heart to see Y/N suffer with depression and begin her spiral into a depressive episode. He knew that there was only so much they could to for her, which included getting her a therapist whom she sees off and on depending on how bad her depressive breakdowns are. Y/N let out a sigh before responding.
“Next week, I promise!” she said in a somewhat cheery tone. Billy knew that this was just a ruse to get him to leave her room, however it did the opposite and he took a seat next to her on the bed.
“Sweetie, I think it’s time we put in a call to Dr. Morales and get you some appointments set up. We all love you so much and we hate seeing you suffer like this … please consider it,” he said, and Y/N’s eyes began to fill with tears. She knew that things were getting out of hand if he was suggesting therapy again, and she knew it meant she was going to have to face her demons yet again. Her lip began to quiver before she let out a cry, burying her head into his shoulder while he consoled her. She continued to sob, not knowing how to control her emotions and letting out as many tears as she could to get rid of the pain, even if it only a temporary form of release. Eventually, she had calmed herself down enough to speak to him.
“Billy, thank you so much for everything you and Laura have done for me over the past 10 years. I know this is hard to deal with, having a daughter with mental health issues, but I’m trying so hard to battle these demons like I have all the other times, it’s just too hard for me to do this alone …” Y/N said while wiping away her tears.
“You’re not alone Y/N. You have all of us here, and we will continue to support you until you are better. You know how much we love you and you know how much you’ve impacted our life, in a good way, but I think maybe it’s time to be honest with Asher about it … he’s going to find out eventually, and maybe if he knew what was happening, he could help you through this with us,” Billy said. He knew that having her boyfriend by her side through this battle would help her drastically; Y/N looked at him with a sorrow look in her eyes before responding.
“I-I know I need to tell him … I’m just not ready for him to see me this vulnerable yet. I promise, I’ll tell him when I’m ready,” she replied in a raspy voice. He smiled before giving her a kiss on the forehead and leaving her alone to be with her thoughts. No one knew she had been self-harming, so it was easy for them to leave her alone for the duration of the day; she hadn’t done it in a few days, and although there was a small voice inside her head that kept telling her to just pick up a blade and do it. She waited until she heard the front door close, signaling everyone was gone, before getting up and heading towards the bathroom. Y/N inhaled sharply before she opened the drawer where she kept her tools, staring at the blade for a few seconds, contemplating if this was the right thing to do and thinking about what Billy said to her. “We all love you so much and we hate seeing you suffer.” They loved her and they had given her so much, so why couldn’t she just let this go and stop? She inhaled sharply before picking up a blade, bringing it to her skin, and cutting, letting out a small whimper as the blood began to come out from her skin.
-
Back at school, Asher knew something was up with Y/N. The twins kept telling him that she was sick, but she had been dodging his calls and texts all week. He knew something was wrong because even if she was sick, there was no reason why she was avoiding his calls; usually all she wanted when she was sick was to cuddle with him and spend time with him. He decided to pull out his phone and text her one last time to see if maybe she was in the mood to talk about what was going on.
Hey baby, I know we’ve barely talked at all this week but I just wanted to say that you’re an amazing girlfriend and I can’t wait until you’re better so I can come see you!
He knew she more than likely wouldn’t respond, which wasn’t like her at all. To his surprise, his phone vibrated, and his face lit up when he saw that it was Y/N’s contact. The text was just a simple “You too,” but that was enough for him to have some concerns … she was always one to use emojis for almost everything and would usually get upset if he wasn’t using them enough.
“Okay guys, seriously what’s happening with Y/N? It’s almost like she’s fallen off the face of the earth, she’s hardly answering any texts, and she hasn’t been to school all week… I know she isn’t sick,” Asher said as he caught up to Jordan and Olivia after the final bell rang. Jordan let out a sigh, knowing that it wasn’t up to him and Olivia to tell him what was really happening with her however he knew they had to tell him something to get him off their backs.
“Asher, it’s just best that you talk to her yourself, it’s not up to Olivia and I to tell you what’s going on with her, it’s her choice on whether she wants you to know. I’m home by myself tonight, why don’t you come over and see her for yourself?” Jordan replied in a somewhat annoyed tone.
“Sounds good,” Asher said before getting into his car. He knew Jordan had a point, it wasn’t up to him and Olivia to tell him what was happening with his girlfriend. He hadn’t told her yet, but he was in love with her and cared about her more than anyone even realized. The boys on the team constantly made fun of him for how much he cared about her, but now he was beginning to think something else was going on with her. Was she cheating on him and couldn’t tell him? Did he come on too strong and force her into a relationship when she wasn’t ready? Did she want to break up and felt like couldn’t say anything to him about it? These thoughts kept flooding his mind from the time he walked in the door of his house until the time he left to go hang out with Jordan and get to the bottom of this behaviour.
-
Later on that evening, Y/N was sitting quietly watching her favourite show when she heard a knock on her bedroom door. She already knew it was Jordan because he was the only one home that night, so she closed her laptop and told him to come in. He peaked his head in before opening the door wider to reveal her boyfriend Asher, angering her.
“Jordan, I said I didn’t want any visitors. Asher included!” Y/N said angrily. Jordan just shrugged before mumbling a quick ‘sorry’ and turning around to exit her room, leaving Asher alone in her doorway. She rolled to face the opposite side of the room in order to avoid looking at him, hoping that he would get fed up with her and leave, however this act did the complete opposite.
“Y/N, you’ve been couped up in this room for over a week now … You’re dodging everyone’s calls and texts, skipping school, sulking away in your room and shutting us out. This isn’t like you at all, what is happening?” he asked in a soft, loving tone. Asher wanted her to open up about why she was feeling this way, even though he knew it was because the anniversary of her parents’ death was coming up. He had seen it before, she usually got sad for about a week but was okay otherwise, however this was different and something he had never seen before; he has never seen her shut her friends out and completely isolate herself from the rest of the world.
“Asher go away,” Y/N mumbled to her boyfriend as she sat up, staring at him with a somber look. Asher moved closer to her, eventually sitting on the end of her bed and staring into her gorgeous eyes. He could tell something was wrong with her; her hair was up in a bun that looked like it hadn’t been taken out in days, her eyes were puffy, the colour in her face was gone and she looked like she hadn’t eaten in days either. He hated seeing her suffer like this and knew he had to do something about it.
“Y/N, please tell me what’s happening. I want to be here for you, but I can’t unless you open up and tell me what’s wrong,” he responded, keeping his eyes on Y/N.
“It’s been 10 years Ash, 10 years since I last saw or spoke to my parents and I can’t even explain to you how much pain I’m in because of it. I’m so fucking embarrassed that it’s come to this, I felt like I couldn’t talk to anyone about how I was feeling and tell anyone how bad my depression had gotten, so I found another way to cope with the pain …” Y/N replied in a somber tone. She inhaled sharply before lifting up her sleeve hesitantly and exposing her forearm. Realistically, this was not a conversation she was prepared to have with him; quite frankly she never wanted him to find out and she was hoping this would all blow over before she needed to tell him. Y/N tried her best to keep the tears from rolling for her face, but they slowly started to fall from her beautiful Y/E/C orbs. She felt like she was being weak, risking her relationship with Asher by being vulnerable and showing him how much she was struggling.
Asher kept his eyes fixed on Y/N’s forearm. There was a slight discolouration where she had cut her arm with a razor blade recently as well as some faded scars further up her arm. He felt completely infuriated with himself that he let his girlfriend go through this alone and that she felt like she couldn’t come to him for help. He knew something was up when she never wanted to spend the night with him, but he blew it off because he didn’t want to pressure her into anything she didn’t want to do. He began to ponder about why she never came to him for help, until he realized that he had been so focused on keeping his endurance up during the off season and focusing on the next football season that he completely neglected her. Asher took Y/N’s hand into his, interlacing their fingers while gently lifting her chin so their eyes met.
“Y/N I’m so sorry I made you feel like you couldn’t come to me with this. I’m so angry that I let you go through this alone and made you believe that I wouldn’t support you. I want you to know that I’m still here, and I don’t plan on leaving. I’m here baby, you don’t need to hold on to this alone anymore because we’re going to get through this together. You have no idea how much better my life is because you’re in it, you have no reason to ever doubt this relationship and I’m not going to lose you because of your mental health,” he said, bringing his lips gently to her. More tears began rolling down her face as he continued to kiss her, placing his hands on her hips and pulling her closer to him. She gently pulled herself away from him before speaking up.
“Ash, you were so busy with training and I didn’t want to bother you with this because-” she began before Asher cut her off.
“Y/N enough. You and your mental health are much more important than anything right now, I’m here for you and we’re going to get through this because I love you so much it fucking hurts. Watching you spiral into a depressive episode is not something I want to see happen and I would do anything for you, you know damn well I’m not letting you go through this alone,” he replied with a smile. Y/N felt the butterflies in her stomach when she heard him say it. Those 3 little words. The words she thought she would never hear anyone tell her. I love you. She couldn’t believe that Asher Adams actually said that to someone like her when he just witnessed her in a state of depression. Y/N tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear and looked at him with loving eyes.
“Y-you love me?” she asked in a quiet tone. Asher gave her a confused look and laughed.
“Who wouldn’t? Y/N, you are hands down one of the best people to be around and you always make sure everyone is always having a good time. You’re smart, kind, caring, beautiful … the list could go on all day. You have no idea how happy I was when you agreed to go out with me, and I’m so thankful for everything you’ve done to help me and how happy you’ve made me. Now it’s time to get you back to being as happy as you were when we first started dating. I’ll say it again, Y/N Y/L/N I fucking love you, despite the demons you are currently battling” he said in a soothing voice, leaning in and pressing his lips to hers again. Y/N gently placed her hand on his neck and pulled him closer so that he was laying on top of her. She had to admit that it felt good to finally have this burden off her shoulders and she felt so much better now that Asher knew the truth. He pulled away and looked her up and down before speaking.
“Why don’t you spend the night at my place? You’ve been couped up in this room for over a week and a change of scenery might be good, plus if you’re up for it we could talk about all of this. Like I said Y/N, we’re going to get through this together because I love you,” he said in a soft tone, caressing her cheek and leaning in for one more small kiss. Y/N looked at him with loving eyes and smiled before she responded.
“I love you too … please take me home with you, that’s all I want right now babe,” she whimpered out in a soft voice. Asher proceeded to pack her a bag with everything she needed to spend the night at his place and grabbed her hand, gently leading her down the stairs and into his car. She had to admit that even something as small as leaving her bed made her feel better to some degree, but she knew this was only one small step towards beating this illness.
-
As soon as they walked in the door, Asher sat her down and made them both something to eat, making sure her meal was full of food that made her feel happy, however the smile on her face quickly faded when the food was placed in front of her. Demon #1: having to eat your first meal after a depressive breakdown. Asher picked up on this behaviour rather quickly and placed his hand in hers, grabbing her attention.
“I know it’s going to be hard for you to eat after that depressive breakdown, but you haven’t eaten in days baby. You need food in your system, please just try,” he said in a heavyhearted tone, earning him a half-smile and a small nod from his girlfriend. Truth be told, she didn’t want to eat; she was too embarrassed about what had just happened and was so emotionally exhausted to think about anything, her mind kept drifting and she kept thinking about how much she wanted this moment to be over so she could sleep the pain away. Y/N finished about half the food her lovely boyfriend had made for her, however this was more than enough to satisfy him, he was just proud that she tried for him.
After they finished eating, Asher took it upon himself to de-tangled Y/N’s hair from the bun it had been in before leading her to the shower and helping her strip down, knowing that she was too emotionally exhausted to do it all herself. He joined her in the shower, helping her wash her hair and comb it out, in addition to making sure her body was clean. He always kept a bottle of her shampoo, conditioner and body wash as his house, just in case she ever needed it while staying there. He made sure he had a warm towel for her afterwards and helped her brush her teeth; he picked her up bridal style, bringing her into his bedroom and gently laying her on the bed, staring into her eyes that were still as beautiful as the first time he looked at them.
Y/N laid her head on Asher’s chest, eyes focused on the movie that was playing on the flat screen television in front of them. He was too busy admiring her, thinking about how much he loved her and how lucky he was to have a girl like her, despite what she was going through. Her breathing was stable and somehow, she seemed to look even more perfect than earlier; she was playing with the hem of Asher’s shirt and turned to face him, catching him staring at her. She gently pushed herself up, closing the gap between them and bringing their lips together when his hands found their way around her waist, positioning her body on top of him. Her hands found their way to his head, ruffling his hair up while he pulled her in tighter, moving his lips from her mouth to her neck while mumbling a quick ‘I love you’ and placing his hands on her bum, before she stopped him.
“Asher I can’t … I can’t have sex with you this just isn’t the right time,” Y/N said in a fearful but quiet voice. Demon #2: being intimate with him after he just saw you in a vulnerable state. She began to tremble and proceeded to let out a small cry, releasing the tears she was holding in and placing her head in the crook of his neck. He began to slowly rub her back and coo in her ear to calm her down.
“Woah Y/N, that’s not what I was doing my love. Of course I want to have sex with you and show you how much I love you, but right now if definitely not the time. You don’t owe me anything, especially not your virginity, I love you whether we have sex or not. Just come here, try to stay calm and breathe babe,” Asher cooed as he let Y/N sob into his neck. He continued to rub her back, knowing that the only way she was going to progress towards success was by letting her release all of her emotions appropriately and he continued to coo in her ear until she began to calm down. His shirt was absolutely drenched in her tears, however eventually, she had stopped crying, pulling away to look at her boyfriend before she took a deep breath and began to speak.
“I’m sorry Asher I-” she began before he cut her off.
“Y/N, no apologizing please. Are you okay? What do you need me to do right now to make you feel safe and comfortable?” he asked in a soft tone. She put all her focus into taking nice, big, deep breaths as he continued to rub her back until he was given any sort of direction from her.
“Just lay here with me and hold onto my tightly, don’t let go until I fall asleep,” Y/N responded in a calm tone. Asher happily positioned himself so that their bodies were in the perfect position, he wrapped his arms around her and held on tight as she sighed in relief, giving him the impression that this was perfect; they laid there peacefully and quietly until they both snoozed off.
-
The following morning, Y/N woke up alone in Asher’s bed, knowing he was downstairs making her breakfast; he knew she hasn’t been getting a lot of sleep due to her anxiety and knew she would appreciate catching up on her sleep. She sat up on his bed and stretched, rolling onto the other side of the bed to check her phone; as expected, she had a text from Laura telling her that Billy and Jordan had filled her in on what was going on and reminded her that she was so loved in their family. She smiled, knowing that she had a wonderful family that will help her through this and an even more amazing boyfriend what would be by her side through all of the struggles. She shot a quick text back to her mom thanking her, just as Asher came around the corner with 2 plates of breakfast, placing one in front of Y/N. She noticed that her plate had a tad less food on it than his, which didn’t cause her much anxiety given the fact that she didn’t finish all of her food the previous night. He sat next to her on the bed and watched in awe as his girlfriend was eating, free of any nervous expression and looking like she was actually enjoying the food. He stayed quiet and let her enjoy her meal in peace before he spoke up.
“So your dad called me … you know that this means you’re going to have to call your therapist and start seeing him on a regular basis again right?” Asher said as his girlfriend took a sharp breath in. Demon #3: speaking to a therapist for the first time and admitting what you had was a depressive breakdown. She knew that this was coming, she just didn’t realize it would be so soon; Asher picked up on her body language and gently kissed her cheek while moving her chin with his finger so that she was facing him.
“You know that I’m here baby, you don’t need to go through this alone. I promise I will be here for you to make sure you take that little pill every day … hell I’ll even drive you to all of your appointments if I have to. Whatever it will take to help you get through this,” he said in a soothing tone. Y/N had to admit that he was taking this much better than she thought he was going to, and she kept hoping that he was going to genuinely keep his word to her about being there through all of this.
“I’m going to call them on Monday and make the appointment,” she replied in a low voice, resulting in a grin being plastered on his face. Asher slowly closed the gap between the two of them, bringing his lips to hers and caressing her cheek with one hand, while the other snaked around her waist, pulling her in closer. He couldn’t help but fall in love with her even more each time she found a new demon to battle and knowing that with all the love and support she was receiving from her family she was more than capable of beating them.
“Y/N, if you ever feel like you don’t trust yourself to be alone please call me. I don’t care if it’s 3am on a school night, if you don’t feel safe being alone I will come and get you, or I’ll stay on the phone with you as long as you need to me. I’ve said it 100 times and I’ll say it again, I love you so much it hurts, and I don’t want anything to happen to you,” Asher replied giving her a kiss on the forehead and holding her close. It still absolutely broke his heart that she had been going through this for weeks without anyone knowing and she was still too scared to tell her own family that she self-harmed; but he made her a promise and he fully intended on keeping it.
Throughout the day, Y/N’s mood seemed to improved little by little, although it wasn’t exactly where Asher wanted it to be, he was still thankful that Y/N was trying her best. The couple had just decided to lounge around Asher’s place, listening to slow music and enjoying each other’s company while Y/N opened up to her boyfriend a little bit more about what had been going on with the depression. He was extremely proud of her for finally opening up to him about her situation and he was grateful that she trusted him enough to come to him so he could support her. The couple was currently dancing around his kitchen, being natural and goofy like they always were.
“I hope you don’t mind, but I invited JJ, Spencer and Jordan over to hang out with us for a little bit later on tonight … if you don’t want them coming I can tell them not to,” Asher mentioned while he and Y/N were cooking dinner. Demon #4: returning to socialization with your friends after you have a depressive breakdown. Although this made Y/N nervous, she knew that it was something that had to be done in order to get her back on the right track with her mental health; she nodded her head and pulled her boyfriend in for a loving kiss, when they head the doorbell ring.
“Speak of the devils,” Y/N joked with a smile. Asher reciprocated the smile as he went to the door to greet his 3 best friends. Obviously JJ pulled her in for a friendly hug and made some kind of joke about how he feels like he hasn’t seen her in a while, not knowing the real reason; mind you, Y/N wasn’t ready for anyone else except for her family and Asher to know what was happening. The boys had skipped along into the kitchen and sat down, however, Jordan stayed behind and had a proud look on his face.
“I’m glad this happened Y/N. I’m proud of you for being honest with Asher about what was going on and you know we’re all going to be here with you when you battle this disease again … no matter how many times your depression comes back, we’re here for you,” Jordan said in a small voice so no one else would hear their conversation. She gave her brother a hug, muttering a quick ‘thank you’ and letting a couple of tears fall from her eyes. She gave him a smile as she pulled away and quickly wiped away her tears, taking a deep breath, and joining the boys at the table outside.
As Y/N laughed at one of the lousy jokes JJ made, Asher couldn’t take his eyes off her and was genuinely happy to see her laughing and having a good time, even though he knew that this boost in energy and confidence wouldn’t last all that long; he was just happy that in that moment, she was truly enjoying herself. He knew that helping her battle her depression was going to be an uphill battle and he knew it wasn’t going to be easy, but he was planning on sticking to his word and staying by her side through this fight. He knew that his life wouldn’t be the same without her and all he wanted was for her to be better so they could move on to the next chapter of their lives together. All he wanted to do was help her beat this because he loved her, and he would do anything to prove to her that he was here to stay, no matter what it took.

Suicidal Misunderstanding AU Part V (SW Time Travel AU #27)
Part I - - - - -  Part II - - - - - Part III - - - - - Part IV
After a meandering walk through what felt like every path the hanging gardens and marsh pools had to offer, Obi-Wan stopped to lean against a stone wall.
“Obi-Wan? Are you ready to stop and eat something? As nice as this has been, I’m getting hungry and I’m guessing you are too.”
Anakin was only being a little sarcastic. It had genuinely been nice to peacefully spend the day with Obi-Wan like this- they hadn’t been to the marsh habitats since the war started. He had resigned himself to watching Obi-Wan enthusiastically greet every wandering knight, master, and elder who they passed.
It was actually starting to become impressive- Anakin never realized how many members of the Order his Master was friendly with- no wonder he was given a seat on the high council! But after the last heartfelt clasping of hands with a completely unfamiliar Bothan (thankfully for Anakin’s petty jealousy, Obi-Wan wasn’t hugging everyone), Anakin had asked who the knight was.
Obi Wan frowned. “No idea. But I suppose I must have seen him somewhere.”
Anakin was no longer feeling impressed.
When a group of crechelings wandered by, Obi-Wan appeared briefly overwhelmed with emotion. His shields (apparently even better drunken than sober) didn’t let anything specific slip. But he knew Obi-Wan was feeling something intensely. Bizarrely, instead of saying hello, Obi-Wan hurried out and away with Anakin dragged behind, bringing them back to the stone wall and their skipped breakfast.
“Not yet.” Obi-Wan responded hoarsely. “I want to visit the Room of A Thousand Fountains first, and say a few more goodbyes.”
“Goodbyes?” Anakin asked, a slight chill running down his back. “We’re not shipping back out until the end of the week. Do you always say goodbye to everyone this thoroughly before redeployment?”
“No. Do you think I should have?” Obi-Wan frowned. “I feel like that would have been more upsetting than anything else.”
“Ok then, why are you saying goodbye now? To the whole order?”
Obi-Wan didn’t reply, he just pushed off the wall to continue on his quest to apparently visit every corner of the temple.
“Master, please, you’re worrying me. If you won’t eat, then let me take you to the Healing Halls so they can check you over for drugs. We can visit the fountains after.”
Obi-Wan finally paused, thinking that over. “I would like to see Bant. She should be there, right?”
Bant did end up being there, and was more touched than disturbed by Obi-Wan’s sincere joy to see her. While Obi-Wan wandered the halls greeting injured Knights, she ran several tests.
“As far as I can tell, all you had last night was human-appropriate alcohol. No force-user specific drug interactions, and no traces of Spice. It’s possible there’s something I missed, but your force presence doesn’t feel off balance in the manner I specifically associate with drug-induced altered perception. Your blood sugar is a little low and you’re somewhat dehydrated, especially considering you’re in the temple, not out on a mission.”
“I’ll take care of my physical needs after I visit the Room of a Thousand Fountains. Just because a vision isn’t purely induced by the force doesn’t mean I can’t draw meaning from it. I do appreciate how you always looked out for me though, Bant. I’ve missed your fussing.” Obi-Wan smiled, clasping one of her hands in his.
Bant sighed, “If Master Yoda wasn’t off world I’d urge you to talk to him. I haven’t seen you this shaken by a vision since we were younglings. Even if you do seem to be handling it fairly... calmly.”
Obi-Wan laughed. “I’ll tell him you said that someday. I might be wrong, but I think he’ll be happy to learn about-” Obi-Wan gestured around vaguely, “all this. I’ll talk to him at some point. I’m sure of it.”
She glanced over at Anakin, who had been a quietly looming shadow the whole visit. He seemed both relieved by the diagnosis as well as bewildered. “Can I speak to you privately?”
Obi-Wan nodded and Anakin stalked out of the test room.
She scrutinized him, worry more obvious now, “Don’t think I haven’t noticed you slipping tenses this whole time. You’re still not sure where your vision ends and reality begins, are you? Do you even know when you are?”
Obi-Wan looked down. “I know what’s real and what’s not. I’m just...enjoying not fully living in the moment. I have every intention of waking up.”
“Yeah, that’s a BIG red flag, Obi-Wan. Force.” She tilted her head back and forth, examining him with obvious concern. “I am scheduling an appointment for a soul healer and you are going to go, understand?” She demanded.
Obi-Wan agreed far too easily. She reluctantly let him leave with an earnest promise to eat something real.
Obi-Wan came outside to find Anakin pacing.
“I’m glad you’re still here,” he told his former Padawan, ignoring the ache in his chest.
“Of course Ori’vod,” Anakin said, ducking his head with a shy smile. “What did Bant say?”
“She wants me to eat something real and visit a soul healer.” Obi-Wan sighed. “Well, I can do at least one of those things.”
“A soul healer! She thinks you’re crazy?” Anakin asked offended.
“First of all, you don’t have to be unstable to visit a soul healer. I’ve seen them in the past, when there wasn’t as much wrong with me. I’m sorry if I led you to believe you couldn’t seek out help for your problems.” Obi-Wan said. Another mistake.
“I-I know that. I just thought, you know, Jedi can be judgmental of that sort of thing. A good Jedi is supposed to be able to just, meditate stuff away.” Anakin said bitterly.
Obi-Wan thought furiously. Was this why he had been so blindsided by Anakin’s fall? Had his padawan been so afraid of judgement that he hid all of the warning sides of his struggles with darkness? Maybe he could ask Owen for some sort of petty assistance when he brought over bantha milk next time, to demonstrate to young Luke that it was ok to ask for help. No, he was probably still too young for those sorts of lessons to have much meaning. The insight would require meditation, when he was more sober.
Unsure how ‘Anakin’ would respond, Obi-Wan tentatively said, “You’re right, that some Jedi might judge for seeking such aid. But I think in the last years of the war, that sort of opinion became less and less common. After all, an ideal Jedi shouldn’t be leading an army. I don’t know if anyone can be perfect during war, let alone a peacekeeper.”
When that failed to garner positive or negative reply, Obi-Wan let out a breath. “It hardly matters, since I can’t exactly visit a therapist, let alone a soul healer, given my present living conditions.”
Anakin seemed to process that, giving Obi-Wan a long, searching look. “What’s your next point?”
“Hmm?”
“You said first of all, and I think that was all one thing, so what’s your second point?”
“Not exactly being able to visit a soul healer regularly doesn’t count as a separate retort?”
“I guess? I’m just trying to understand what you’re trying to tell me” A twinge of frustration crept into Anakin’s otherwise level tone.
"I appreciate that, truly, and I regret the number of hurtful miscommunications that sprung up from me failing to do just that. Well, I suppose, by most reasonable standards, I am ‘crazy.’ Getting some help with unraveling my mind would probably be best, if it were an option, but it isn’t so...” Obi-Wan shrugged.
Before any followup questions could be asked, they finally arrived at the main entrance to the Room of a Thousand Fountains. The archway was stunning, water flowing upwards along the stone in intricate, shifting tessellations. When they stepped through, Obi-Wan was delighted to see Mace Windu sitting on a bench by the entrance.
“Mace! I was hoping to see you.”
Mace looked at him. He seemed at first, to be utterly unsurprised by the duo’s arrival. But the longer he stared, the more visible shock overtook his features. “Master Koon recommended I look for you...force what happened.”
Obi-Wan just chuckled. “Oh you know. What didn’t happen.”
“What’s wrong?” Anakin asked urgently. “What do you see, Master Windu?”
Obi-Wan tried to wave them both off, laugh a little more forced. “Please, I came here to relax. I’m sure it would be easier to say what’s not wrong with-”
“Kark it, Obi-Wan this isn’t a joking matter.” Master Windu’s voice was calm, but insistent. He slowly started approaching Obi-Wan as though the fellow council member were a feral loth-cat.
“You look as if...nearly every shatter point around you has broken open. Force, I think you’ve been carrying some of these with you since you were a child. Usually when things that deep break...And some of these- some of these are too big to have just affected you.” Mace hesitantly reached forward, brushing against something invisible.
A chill ran down Anakin’s spine, again. What the kriff did Obi-Wan see in his vision? Last night he mentioned the temple burning, their rooms turned to ash, and Anakin had just...let that go in favor of greedily spending time with this addictively affectionate version of Obi-Wan.
“Mace...” Obi-Wan groaned. “I had been wondering what you might say to me but this is...please, can’t you just give me a hug and let me enjoy the peace for one more hour.”
“Master Kenobi,” Mace said, seeming to revert to an even more serious version of himself. “What I see cracked open around you is bigger than the reemergence of the Sith on Naboo, bigger than the first battle of Genosis. Whatever has happened, you cannot possibly keep it to yourself, practically or morally.”
To the shock of both Windu and Skywalker, Obi-Wan actually rolled his eyes at that. “Mace. You are not telling me anything I do not already know. And I am choosing to spend a little longer enjoying the unique joys of the Temple before dealing with the harshness of reality. Haven’t I earned a small break? I’m not abandoning my duty, but if I don’t take care of myself where I can I’ll go madder than I already have.”
At no point did Obi-Wan’s voice get whiny or upset, he just calmly dropped a series of bombshells like he was repeating an argument.
Mace and Anakin exchanged glances, but if Mace was trying to communicate something, it was utterly lost on Anakin.
“Alright, Master Kenobi. I trust your judgement.”
And, to Anakin’s shock, Mace pulled Obi-Wan for a tight hug. “And I care about you, Obi-Wan.”
For a brief, hysterical moment, Anakin Skywalker wondered if he was about to witness his Master break down crying on the shoulder of Mace Windu the Master of the Jedi Order.
But Obi-Wan just let out a slow breath and returned the embrace before bowing deeply in Respect. Windu returned the bow with a placid expression.
“If you’ll excuse me...I think I’d like to stand by the waterfall alone for a moment.” He paused, turning to address Anakin. “If you’re willing to wait for me, I’ll happily rejoin you by the glowing mushrooms.” Anakin nodded silently and Obi-Wan beamed before leaving the two alone together.
Mace turned to the young knight in a silent demand for answers, and, for once, Anakin was eager to share what he was dealing with. “He came back drunk last night, talking about the temple burning down, and being well-”
“Unusually emotionally expressive?” Mace offered.
Anakin nodded. “Took a blood sample to analyze in the morning. He woke determined to hug every sentient being in the temple. I actually managed to get him to the halls just before we came here; Master Eerin said there was nothing in his system and...I just don’t know. He’s been off today, but not in a bad way, exactly. Could a vision have caused the shattering you saw?
Mace furrowed his brow. “Not any vision like I’ve ever seen but...these are dark times. And Master Kenobi has had historically bad luck. If some new cataclysm is coming for us- I absolutely believe he’d be the first of us to stumble into it. Something terrible and extraordinary must have happened in the 24 hours since I last saw him in person.”
A beat passed.
“I should go to the mushrooms before I lose track of him,” Anakin said quietly.
Mace nodded. “Skywalker, if you need assistance dragging him back to the healers for whatever reason, comm me, understood?”
“Understood. Master Koon said the same.” the Knight replied, heart pounding.
The Windu clasped him on the shoulder firmly, "I’m going to check in with Master Eerin. It’s possible she has some suspicions that my observations will help her confirm. Until then...”
“I’ll look out for him.” Anakin promised.

Bakugou loses once again
Warning: there is some cursing (mostly Bakugou)
Pairing: fem!reader × Izuku
Disclaimer!! this is a repost from my original blog to my blog dedicated strictly to writing
“Look dumbass I don’t care anymore, all you’re doing is holding me back!” Bakugou
“I’m holding you back?! All I’m doing is loving you and caring for you!” You yelled back
“Well stop! I don’t love you anymore” he said
That was the final straw your heart was breaking, picking up your purse from its spot by the door.
“Good bye Bakugou” you whispered as your voice broke, you hadn’t called him that since you had started dating 2 years ago.
The tears didn’t start until the door closed behind you as you made your way down the stairs pulling your phone out of your pocket to call one of your closest friends.
“Hey!” He said cheerfully on the second ring “its been a little while I’ve missed you”
“H-Hey” you respond tears in your voice
“Where are you?” He asked his mood immediately shifting “I’m coming to get you”
“I’ll send you my location” you said
“Stay there I’m coming” he said and the call ended.
You sent him your location waiting inside the apartment lobby for him to pull up. When you see his car you run out immediately climbing into his car and hugging him tightly whispering teary Thank yous into his shoulder.
“Hey, I’m here for you” he said running his hands up and down your back.
“C-can we go please” you whimper
“Of course” he said slowly pulling away from the hug wiping away your tears.
He drove away going back to his place. Once at his house he got out and taking your hand leading you inside his house. It had been too long since the last time you had been to his house but it hadn’t changed, his home always felt so warm and inviting.
“Do you want tea?” He asked
“Yes tea would be nice” you said
He tapped the bar counter and you go sit on one of the bar stools. Watching him move around his kitchen as he prepares to make tea for the both of you.
“Do you want to talk about it?” He asked cautiously
After a moment of hesitation you nod
“We broke up, he told me doesn’t love me anymore and that I’m holding him back” you said as emotionless as possible not wanting to break down in tears again
“Kacchan” he said shaking his head as he poured the tea into two All Might mugs giving you one
“Well, doll, you can stay with me for as long as you want or need” he said smiling as he walked over and placed a gentle hand on your shoulder
“I’d like that thank you Izu” you said with a watery smile
He places the mugs on the counter and pulled you into a tight hug.
“Izu, I’m going to cry again” you whisper into his shoulder
“Then cry it out” he whispered back “I’m here for you”
“T-theres something else…” you trail off
“What else doll?” He asked pulled away to look at your face
“I-im pregnant” you whimper
His emerald eyes widened “does Kacchan know?” He asked
You shook your head “I was going to tell him but we got into a fight and he ended things” you explain.
He nods slowly as strokes your cheek gently.
“How far along are you?” He asked
“8 weeks, I only found out a few days ago” you said
“Whatever your decision I’ll support you” he said smiling
“Thank you Izu, you are the best” you said
“Let’s finish our tea and we can watch a movie or whatever” he said smiling
And you did just that you drank tea and watched movies with Izuku.
And over the following months you’d decided to keep the baby, and Izuku has been there every step of the way taking you to appointments, leaving late at night to fill your cravings or picking them up on his way home from patrol. And after several long and deep conversations you’ve moved in with Izuku and are currently dating he confessed that he’s had feelings for you since you’d met. But he settled for being best friends while you didnt date anyone then while you dated Bakugou.
One night while Izu is on patrol there’s a knock on the door you get up from the couch wearing one of Izukus shirts and a pair of sweats. You open the door and see Bakugou. Your eyes go wide
“What are you doing here?” You asked
“I’m looking for fucking Deku why are you here?” He said frowning
“He’s on patrol or at his agency” you said
“That’s a no on both part, his patrol ended and the agency said he left for the day” he said “and you never answered why you’re here”
“Then you beat him here, and it doesn’t matter” you said
You then see his car pull into the driveway and him get out with a bag of take out.
“Kacchan? What are you doing here?” Izuku asked frowning
“Hero team up” Bakugou said
“Okay, have the files sent over and we can meet about it tomorrow” he said walking past him into the house giving you a quick kiss on the lips
“I’ll take this” you say taking the bag of take out “talk hero work”
Izu smiled as you walked away “Thanks doll, was there anything else Kacchan?” He asked
Bakugou grumbled under his breath and stormed away
*time skip a few months later near the baby’s due date*
You were at home just getting out of the shower when your water broke, thankfully Izuku was still home.
“Izu!” You yelled from the bathroom
He came running in half dressed to go to his agency.
“Is it time?” He asked eyes wide
You simply nod. He dries you off and carefully takes you into the bedroom and helps you dress quickly and grabbing the hospital bags and everything you would need and loads the car while you’re taking deep breaths. He calls the agency and tells them he’s not coming in and to reschedule everything. He gets you to the hospital and after a few hours of intense labor the baby is born. Holding your son in your arms looking down at him smiling.
“Izu, do you want to hold our son?” You asked
He nods wiping his tears he gently holds him in his arms “hi there, little guy, you may not have my blood, but you are my son” he said kissing his head.
You and Izuku had talked he fully planned on stepping up to help you raise your son knowing first hand on how it was to be raised without a father.
*time skip again to the baby being 2 years old*
You hadn’t seen Bakugou since he showed up at the house, you still lived in the same city just different sides. One day when Izu you both decide to go to the mall to do some shopping. Kyo was between you and Izu holding both of your hands talking excitedly when suddenly behind you, you hear small explosions that came from someone not something
“Mama?” Kyo asked covering his ears looking at you
“Its okay baby its someone’s quirk” you said picking him up comforting him
“Let’s go play at the park okay?” Izu said leading you both out of the mall glancing over his shoulder seeing Bakugou following
You get to the park and set him down so he can go play. Izu walked up and kissed your head
“He’s coming” he whispered
You nod keeping an eye on Kyo as he plays. It’s not that you haven’t prepared for this to inevitably happen.
“You have a damn kid!” Bakugou snapped
“Yes and lower your voice yes we are outside but I’m not arguing with you” you said “either we can talk about this and you can get answers or if you choose to yell we leave and you get nothing”
His eyes widened “talk” he said rubbing the back of his neck
“I’ll watch him” Izuku whispered referring to Kyo
“You have a kid” Bakugou said
“Yes, he’s two” you said
He looked over at the kids playing and there was only one child that was about two years old and he looked exactly like he did when he was a toddler
“He’s mine?” He asked his eyes widening as he watched the child
“When you broke my heart telling me I was only holding you back and you didn’t love me I was trying to tell you I was pregnant” you said watching Kyo
“Daddy!” Kyo squealed as he jumped into Izuku’s arms from one of the platforms
Something inside of Bakugou broke seeing his own child calling his rival daddy

NEWAYS love yo selfs and drink water <3
part one
[ 3 weeks passed by]
“Okay remember we have a 3 day weekend starting tomorrow Friday. If your going home tell me and I’ll check you out and please contact me if you have any questions. Stay safe. Class dismissed” Aizawa says
My classmates all burst into talk that bothers me completely.
God why are they so loud. I need to get out before I tell them to shut up.
Good thing I’m going Home to my family for this weekend.
I missed my parents and siblings.
Sighing I walked to Shoji
“Hey Sho ready to go?”
Shoji has been the only person talking to after the outburst that happen. He was the only one that understood the situation and was probably the only reason at times I was laughing.
“Hey y/n. Yeah I’m ready let’s head out” Shoji says while putting his hand in the lower of my back
I felt the eyes of my remaining classmates look at me and Shoji.
I looked back at them with a cold glare and said
“Got a fucking starring problem?”
“N-no” the class said in sync
I rolled my eyes and continued walking off.
“So you going home for the 3 day weekend Y/n?” Shoji said while walking toward his dorm
“Yeah I want to be home with my family and my siblings. Some down time you know?” I say
“That’s good! Not going to lie I do miss being out this school.” Shoji says while grabbing his keys to unlock his door
I see Tenya, Deku and Shoto walk by to Tenyas dorm that happens to be right next of Shojis dorm.
“Wait why don’t you come to my house this weekend!” I say
“What?! No no y/n that’s your time to be with your family I don’t want to intrude” Shoji says frantically and waving his arms.
“Sho you have meet my family before they would love you to come over” I say grabbing his keys and unlocking the door “And besides your the only person right now that doesn’t see me as a emotional shit down person. You and my family and outside school friends happen to be the only silver lining I have just now.”
Opening the door I motion Shoji in and walked in myself and shutting the door.
I put the keys on his desk and walked toward his bed and through myself on top of it
“What do you mean by your silver lining y/n? And please shut your eyes for a moment I’m changing” Shoji said
Grabbing his nearest blanket I threw the blanket over me
“Well Sho by silver lining I mean that you are kinda my sun in the middle of the hurricane. You didn’t judge me when I did my outburst. You went to go check on me hours after the incident because you knew I needed to cool down before lashing out. Hell you sit at lunch with me when your friends say not to. And you have been there for me for so much even before I dated Iida and during as well. So yes you are part of my silver lining as much as my family and friends that don’t come here to UA.” I say
I feel movement on the bed and arms wrap around me.
This took me by shock and I pull the blanket down to see Shoji almost in tears.
“SHO WHATS WRONG?! DID I UPSET-“ I say frantically pushing back a bit to cup his face
“I’m fine y/n. I’m just shocked that you would even consider me such a close friend to you.” Shoji says in his wobbly voice
“Sho. I know I don’t say it much but I do genially care about you. Like you mean the world to me. Hell my family considers you family.” I say while sitting in front of him
He smiles and attacks me with another hug
“SHOJIIIIII!!!!!” I wine out
We both turn into fits of giggles and he pulled me up
“Okay let me start packing so we can head out tonight.” Sho said walking to get his to go bag ready
I pulled my laptop out my backpack and FaceTimed my Mom to tell her Shoji is coming for the weekend
Tenya POV
It’s been 3 weeks and I can’t find the courage or strength to talk to y/n.
Have I really put her second ?!
I didn’t mean to shes everything to me.
God why am I not fighting for this!
In class I saw y/n wasn’t paying attention in class more in her little world. She does that a lot when she’s not in the mood to learn.
After Professor Aizawa dismissed us I saw Shoji and y/n walk out together. I stared because the fact Shoji had his hand on her lower back. I didn’t notice it at first until Shoto said
“Does Shoji have his hand on her lower back?!”
Our group of friends heard and turned to see y/n and Shoji walking out.
We stared for too long because the fact y/n gave us a deadly glare and walked away.
Sighing I picked up my book bag and left to my room with Midorya and Shoto.
While walking to my dorm midorya spoke up
“Hey have you tried talking to her. I know you miss her and you want to fix it.”
Sighing I respond
“No i haven’t. But I want to talk to her when she’s comfortable and not in a situation where she has to shut down and let herself be emotionally unavailable and let her thought and actions go by what her body feels at the time.”
“So a clear mind in a way. Like in the comfort of her own environment.” Shoto says
“EXACTLY!” I say
Walking to my room I see Y/n leaning on the wall and talking to Shoji.
Calmly and smoothly.
In the process of opening my door I see y/n smile a bit and I thought the world stop for just a moment.
Seeing we walk into his room so gracefully.
“Hey Iida are you there” I hear Shoto say
“AH yes yes Im here. Sorry!” I say opening the door to let the boys in
Settling down I hear Midorya say
“Iida you are still head over heels for her. Why did you ever put her second.”
Sighing sadly I sat on the floor with my head in my hands
“I don’t know. I love her. Everything she does and how she can be such a punk to everyone. But as soon as it comes to her family she softens up. The way she interacts with animals. Or when her favorite characters from her favorite anime come on the television. As well the way she is so honest with everyone and not caring what anyone says. To the way she dresses. To the way she plays the ukulele guitar and so much instruments and the way she sings so softly but with power in rock songs.”
Tears started to form in my eyes
“I didn’t notice she was hurting until 3 weeks ago. She finally broke. And as a boyfriend I should have never let her believe she wasn’t lovable. She’s so lovable. She has flaws like me. But every of her flaw is so beautiful in my eyes.”
Softly crying I hear Shoto say
“Win her back.”
Looking up i say
“How. How do I win back someone that doesn’t believe in second chances. That’s her biggest pet peeve. She has only given second chances to certain people. And even then it’s rare.”
“Show her that your worth one more chance.” Shoto says
“Your brother Iida might know a way. He’s dating y/n sister after all?” Midorya spoke up
“Yeah they have been dating for more than 4 years now. She’s been though thick and thin with him. I didn’t even know out siblings where dating till y/n sister Athena picked up y/n for a doctors appointment and I saw her. But definitely I will call my brother now!”
I say rushing to my laptop
Ringing my brother I waited for him to answer
“Hello?”
“Brother hi!”
“Hey Tenya what’s up?”
“Well I was hoping you can help me with something if you are not busy?”
“Shoot what’s up?”
“Well you know how me and y/n are not together anymore because of me not giving her time and putting her second-“
“So your finally admitting that you where putting her second when she came first. In love and time” Tensie said scolding me
Looking down with tears forming
“Yes I’d finally have to admit that I was putting her second.”
Looking up with tears rolling down I choked out
“Please I want her back”
Tensie sighed and explain the plan
[time skip to y/n house]
Y/n POV
Arriving home with Shoji I see my family waiting for us at the door.
Smiling I slung my bag over my shoulder and closed the taxi door.
Playing
I grab Shoji arm and raced to my front door
My Parents greeted us and told us to head to dinner with them
While eating dinner with retome and conversing i hear my mom say
“Y/n sweety just wanted to tell you that the Iida family will be spending the 3 day weekend with us. As well with Zeke and his friends are coming in to see you.”
I stared at my mom
“WHAT?!”
“Are you not happy?” Dad said
“I am for Zeke and the crew haven’t seen them in roughly a year. But why the Iida family.” I say mumbling the last part
“Well you so forget Tensie is my boyfriend and Kyo best friend?” Athena spoke up
“I’m fine with him coming I could care less but why the whole damn family like. It was supposed to be us family plus Shoji and Zeke and the crew.” I argued back
“They are friends as much as Zeke and the rest of your friends from Marley. They are going all to be here till Sunday afternoon understand? The house is big enough do you to ignore The Iidas if you want. Shoji will be by your side and us as well. Plus the moral support of your 7 other friends coming in to visit you.” My father States
I sighed and agreed and finish dinner and head to bed.
Dropping off Shoji at his guest bedroom that isn’t too far from my room he spoke up
“You will be fine y/n I understand you don’t want Iida around. But his brother happens to be in love with your sister and best friends with your brother. I’ll be here for you and your other friends I can’t die to meet. You have told me so much about the 7 that basically helped you train and become your friends as well.”
Sighing I leaned to the wall
“I know it’s just bad enough I see him at school and he doesn’t even try to reach out.”
Groaning i looked at Shoji
“I need to move on.”
Shoji looked shocked but didn’t say nothing
Chuckling I looked down and spoke
“Thank god Zeke and the gang are coming. I needed a break from my crazy life and they just happen to be peace but enough chaos. Your gonna love them Sho.”
Standings straight I continue
“Well Sho I atta go to bed. Tomorrow everyone arrives. I need sleep I’ll see you in the morning sweet dreams Sho. “
Shoji smiled and pats my head
“Sweet dreams as well y/n”
Smiling i walked to my room and closed my door when I heard my messages go off.
I pick it up and see from Zeke.
Zeke👑: Hey shorty we are on the train to you as we speak. Get there tomorrow around 8am I expect your famous banana pancakes.
Y/n✨: bold of you to assume I’ll be up at that time
Zeke👑: im going to tell Reiner you are mean to me 😢

Stress Relief
Pairing: Barbatos x Reader x Diavolo
Word Count: 10,061
Preview: The Royals have been bogged down with a busy workload, so you decided to help relieve some of their stress in whatever way you can.
Read as: Barbatos has a thing for rope bondage, and Diavolo is just happy to be involved.
This chapter is also being posted as a part of my “Devil Doms” series on AO3.
Also! This is a follow-up to Bath Time, and Helping Hands, so if you haven’t read those, I would recommend doing that first!
Tumblr media
For as long as you’ve known Barbatos, you’ve assumed that the butler is perfect in every sense of the word. He’s skilled, and handles his tasks without complaint, and in a timely manner. He addresses his duties with a kind smile—never wavering.
Despite his busy schedule, he never shows signs of cracking.
…until today.
You walk into RAD that fateful Friday morning, and discover Barbatos in the student council room—frowning. Now, seeing Barbatos frown is not entirely out of character. You’ve seen him frown in worry, and in concentration. He does have emotions, after all, but…today he just looks stressed.
There are dark circles under his eyes. The way he’s hurriedly searching through papers—a few slipping off the table and onto the floor—is a sign of his current out-of-character state.
Without second thought, you stride into the room and begin picking up the papers on the floor. Barbatos startles ever so slightly when he notices you at his feet—too absorbed in his current task to have heard you approach.
He sighs.
“Thank you, Y/N.”
“Are you okay?” you respond to his quiet, tired words. There’s genuine concern in your eyes as you press to your full height, and hand the small stack of papers back to him. “I’ve never seen you like this before…”
“It’s been quite a hectic week…or two,” he admits, exhaling in relief as he finally uncovers the report he’d been looking for. “Typically, like students, Lord Diavolo and I are able to rest on the weekends—only dealing with a few, small meetings here or there. But the last two weeks, every day is busy from dawn to dusk.”
“I’m sorry to hear that,” you say sincerely. You reach out and give his shoulder a gentle squeeze. Barbatos smiles at the gesture. Then, in an uncharacteristic turn of events, he sets the paper in his hand back on the desk, and turns to fully face you. He envelops you in a tender hug—one of his hands wrapping around your waist while the other moves to cradle against the back of your head.
“You’ll have to forgive me for this sudden display of affection,” he mumbles, his breath tickling your ear as his cheek nuzzles against your hair. “I didn’t realize how much being unable to see you on Sunday would affect me during the week.”
His admission has your cheeks heating up ever so slightly, and you lift your arms—wrapping them tightly around his middle.
Due to Barbatos and Diavolo’s lack of free time, the two had been forced to cancel their tea time with you the previous weekend. You’d been disappointed, considering you’d gotten so used to ending your week in the company of the two, but there was nothing you could do about it. If they were busy, you’d have to suck it up.
“Will you be free this weekend?” you ask him, pulling back to look into his green eyes. He can see the concern, and longing in your gaze. Apparently, you’ve missed him and his Lord as well.
“I can work around your schedule, since I don’t have much to do. Of course, if you’re both too busy, I’ll understand, but—”
He cuts you off with a kiss to your forehead.
“I will double check the schedule and contact you later.” He reaches over and grabs the stack of papers—topped with the report he’d been looking for. As he takes the neat stack into his arms, he turns and flashes you one last smile.
“Thank you for the brief moment of peace. It is greatly appreciated.”
With that, he makes his way out of the student council room with the normal poise and grace he always exhibits. Once alone, you take a deep breath, and hold a hand to your cheek. It’s warm—painted with a light blush.
Really, it’s rare that Barbatos is the one to initiate a show of affection with you. Typically, you’re the one hugging him (although he always reciprocates).
The last time he had initiated skinship was weeks ago, after he’d paid you a visit at the House of Lamentation due to your ailing back.
Memories of that night attempt to push to the forefront of your mind, and you desperately try to shove them away. It’s the middle of the day—you don’t need to be thinking about Barbatos’ hands on your skin, or the way his fingers had felt inside of you…the way he’d looked while his dick was in your mouth…his cute post-orgasm face…
Shaking your head, you smack your red cheeks. You don’t need to be thinking about those types of things during school hours.
Yes, it’s been a few weeks since that fateful day with the royal butler, and you’d be lying if you said he hadn’t crossed your mind sexually every so often since then. However, you’d gotten bogged down with school work—any of your scarce free time going to the brothers—so despite your longing, and Barbatos’ offer of another massage if you wished, you hadn’t gotten a chance to ask.
Then, of course, once your schedule had opened up, Barbatos’ had narrowed. His duties piled up—filling his days with work—and you’d have felt far too guilty asking him for anything on top of his already busy schedule.
Aside from last Sunday, you’d still managed to maintain your weekly appointment of Sunday evening tea with the butler and Demon Prince, but bringing up sexual favors while sipping on Earl Grey and eating tiny sandwiches hardly seemed appropriate.
So, you’ve accepted that maybe it will be a while until you’re able to inquire about Barbatos’ services again. And while it’s a little disappointing, you don’t intend to push the matter. Barbatos already works so hard, and you don’t want to burden him with your sexual need.
Taking a deep breath, you grab the straps of your backpack, and nod to yourself. While you long for another massage experience from the royal butler, you can live without one. Right now, you just want his schedule to clear up, so you can resume your regular Sunday tea with him and Diavolo. And if that’s all you’re able to receive, at the moment, then you’ll still be satisfied.
Smiling, you finally step out of the student council room and make your way to your next class.
Hours later—as you’re heading back to your room following dinner with the brothers—you feel your DDD vibrate. Curious, you pull out the device and look at the notification lingering on the screen.
[New Text from Barbatos]
Your heart skips a beat—nervous to see the contents. There’s a big possibility that the royals are still busy this weekend, and that they won’t be able to squeeze you in anywhere.
You take a moment to calm yourself before clicking into the message.
Barbatos: I apologize for my late follow-up. It seems that Lord Diavolo and I will not be available for our normal Sunday Tea time again.
Barbatos: However, I am free starting at 7pm on Saturday evening, if you would like to come over. Lord Diavolo will be tied up with a meeting until a bit later, but he expressed interest in joining should the meeting adjourn at an acceptable hour.
Barbatos: I understand if you already have plans, but please let me know if I should expect you.
You’d already promised to have a self-care night with Asmo on Saturday, but honestly—you’re sure that he’ll understand.
You: That works just fine for me! I will be over at 7 tomorrow.
Barbatos responds with a happy sticker, and you find yourself smiling. You can’t wait to see them.
Tumblr media
The hours tick by slower than you think possible the following day as you wait for evening to come.
Due to the addition into your schedule, you and Asmo change your self-care night to a self-care afternoon. Thankfully, Gossiping with the Avatar of Lust--while doing face masks, and sipping on mimosas--definitely helps to pass the time quicker.
The two of you finish up just before dinner, and head down to the dining hall together. You eat merrily with the 7 brothers—making conversation, and listening to their banter. By the time the table is cleared, and everyone’s bellies are full of food, it’s already nearing 6:30.
Hurrying back to your room, you make sure you look presentable. You mess with your hair—trading your shorts and tank top for a knee-length sundress. Not only has the Devildom been heating up lately, but you always try to dress a bit nicer in front of the royals. So, a sundress should be perfect for the occasion.
Throwing your DDD into a small purse Satan had gifted you some time ago, you sling the bag over your shoulder and make your way from your room. You run into Lucifer by the front door, and he surveys you with a knowing look.
“You’re headed to the Demon Lord’s Castle, correct? I’ll walk you part way. I’m leaving to meet someone in town.”
“Thanks,” you smile, stepping through the front door when he holds it open for you. The two of you then start away from the House of Lamentation, comfortably at each other’s sides.
“How did you know that I’m heading to the Castle?” you ask him as you walk. You don’t recall sharing your plans for the night with any of the brothers. Even when you’d changed the time of your plans with Asmo, and he had inquired, you’d just said that something had come up. (He had begrudgingly accepted that response—too curious for his own good).
“I had a meeting with Barbatos and Diavolo this morning,” he tells you, eyes ahead as he guides you through the crowded streets. “Diavolo was whining about how he hopes his meeting with the planning committee tonight won’t drag on too long, so he can join you and Barbatos before it’s time for you to leave.”
“I mean…how late can the meeting possibly drag?” you question, blinking innocently. There’s no way a meeting will last beyond…10…11pm, right?
“Depending on the matters that need to be discussed, I’ve witnessed the meeting last until 2 in the morning,” he informs you with a shake of his head. “Diavolo hates speaking with the committee more than anything, so I hope he’ll be able to wrap things up in a timely manner.”
“That would be nice,” you say honestly. “It seems like they’ve both been running rampant... Speaking of, how is your workload?”
You grin up at him, a knowing look in your eyes. Lucifer sighs, smoothing a hand through his dark hair.
“My time to sleep is limited, but for once, it seems that I’m not fairing the worst among the three of us. I hope your visit with Barbatos and Diavolo will help them relax a little.”
“I don’t know if I have that type of power, but I hope so too,” you laugh, pausing when Lucifer places his hand atop your hair. He regards you fondly—the two of you standing in the middle of the city street.
“You don’t give yourself enough credit,” he says, and then steps away. “This is where I leave you. I believe you know the rest of the way, yes?”
You nod, and he raises a hand—bidding you farewell.
“Don’t stay too late. If you need an escort home, text the group chat and one of us will come get you.”
“Will do, Lucifer~,” you drawl, tempted to roll your eyes. They’re always so overprotective of you—it’s not like you always need an escort.
Lucifer flashes you the slightest of glares—lips tugging into a smirk—before he turns and disappears up a side street. Now on your own, you continue up the wide road—taking the familiar path to the castle. You arrive a few minutes later, and when you knock on the grand front door, it only takes a few seconds for Barbatos to pull it open.
“I’m glad you could make it,” he says, eyes creasing pleasantly as he smiles. You can see the exhaustion beginning to settle into the small lines of his face.
“Of course. I was looking forward to seeing you,” you respond honestly. As he guides you into the castle, you can hear the chatter of distant voices, and assume that Diavolo’s meeting with the committee must have already started.
“Would you mind accompanying me to the kitchen? I’m afraid I haven’t had the chance to prepare the tea yet.”
“No worries!” you say immediately, flashing him a reassuring smile. “I’ll help out if I can, too!”
Barbatos chuckles. “I’d appreciate that.”
Engulfed in a comfortable silence, the two of you make your way to the kitchen. Once there, Barbatos pulls out a kettle, and then moves to fetch the tea. However, when he pulls open the wooden cupboard, he pauses.
Curious, you step up behind him, peeking over his shoulder.
The cupboard is entirely empty.
Barbatos places his gloved palms on the counter, his head hanging in defeat, and an annoyed sigh leaving his lips. You stare at him, shocked to see the crack in his professional demeanor.
“The other servants must have grabbed the last of it to serve the guests at the meeting…”
“It’s okay, Barb!!” You say immediately, jumping back and throwing your arms into the air. “We don’t need tea!! It’s not Sunday anyway!”
The butler turns to look at you, and can’t help but laugh at your dorky position.
“I suppose you’re right,” he admits, raising a hand to cover his face as he releases a few more chuckles. Your cheeks heat up a little, realizing you must look silly, and you drop your arms.
“Besides, I don’t want you to feel obligated to serve me while I’m here! This is supposed to be a break for you, since you’ve been so busy!”
“But if we’re not having tea, then what shall we do?” he questions, tilting his head to the side innocently. You blink, lifting a hand to your chin as you ponder the thought.
“Well…is there anything I can do to help you relax?” you smile at him kindly as you speak. “You’ve been working hard, so if there’s anything I can do to ease some of the stress off your shoulders, I’d love to help.”
Barbatos regards you curiously at the offer—like there’s an idea that immediately comes to mind, but he’s not sure if he wants to say it. You assume that perhaps he’ll ask you to help with a chore, or will ask for something like a foot rub. Oh! Or maybe to play a board game.
Instead, he ends up flashing you a small smile. He extends his hand, holding it out to you, and you take it without a second thought. Fingers slotting through your own, he then tugs you from the kitchen and back into the hall—leading you somewhere else.
“There is a hobby I have that helps me to relieve stress. It’s a bit…unorthodox, so if you’re not comfortable with it, then—”
“I’m sure it’s fine, Barb!” you interrupt him, a pout on your lips. “I want to help you unwind, so whatever it is, I’m sure I can handle it.”
He gives your hand a squeeze, an amused look in his eyes. He doesn’t bother with a rebuttal—simply letting you think what you wish.
Silently, he guides you through the long halls. At some point, you pass the entrance to the magnificent bathroom you’d once discovered Diavolo bathing in. Your experience with the aphrodisiac, and Diavolo helping you out on that night feels like a fever dream. The thought of his stupidly large cock, and his hands on your body has you getting warm all over, and you shake your head to try and rid yourself of the sinful imagery.
The event had happened months ago, at this point. Since then, you and Diavolo have never spoken on it, and you wonder if he regrets his actions—feeling like perhaps he had overstepped his boundaries with a guest in the heat of the moment.
However, considering he acts friendly and kind to you as always—still offering hugs, and other simple shows of affections—you haven’t bothered confronting him about it. As long as the two of you are on good terms, that’s what matters to you. (Even if you have occasionally fantasized about fitting his cock inside you since then).
“Are you thinking of Lord Diavolo?” Barbatos’ voice drags you out of your thoughts, a knowing look in his eyes as he regards you. You blush, embarrassed at having been read so easily.
“I…I just…I wonder, sometimes, if he solely helped me out of a sense of obligation, or if he enjoyed it as much as I did,” you admit quietly. Barbatos gives your hand a comforting squeeze. “We’ve never talked about what happened, so…Agh, I’m sorry—is it weird that I’m talking about this with you? I don’t—”
“It’s not strange, Y/N,” he interrupts you with a shake of his head. “Lord Diavolo and I are quite close. Not to mention, I was there the night you were affected by the bath, remember?”
In that moment, you suddenly recall that yes—Barbatos had been there to see you in all of your needy glory—and you heat up more. If he notices, he chooses not to comment.
“While Lord Diavolo may have acted as he did to stop the effects of the aphrodisiac, I assure you he received just as much enjoyment out of your predicament as you did.”
Curious to the meaning of his words, you furrow your brow and stare at him. Barbatos just smiles—giving nothing away. Not until you start angrily pouting, at least. Then, he loosens his lips with a quiet sigh.
“I went to check on My Lord after I saw you return to your room, and when I approached his chambers, I could tell he was…preoccupied with the affliction you had given him.”
Meaning, he had overhead Diavolo jacking off to the thought of you after he’d left you alone in the bathing area to clean yourself up.
Ah.
“Okay, can we stop talking about this before I combust, and die?” you ask, a hint of a whine slipping into your tone. You tug your hand from Barb’s grip to cover your blushing face. He chuckles.
“For someone so lewd, you certainly do get embarrassed easily by your own actions.”
“I’m gonna request that you STOP calling me out like this, thanks,” you shoot back, glaring at him through spread fingers. He breathes a laugh, and you pause in your stride as he suddenly stops in front of a closed door.
Looking around, you realize that you’ve never been to this part of the castle before.
Twisting the handle to the door, Barbatos pushes it open and then ushers you inside. You regard the sizable room curiously.
It looks similar to any other lounge in the castle. The walls are lined with bookshelves and paintings. There are four couches—all placed in large square formation around where a coffee table would typically be. However, there is no coffee table.
Instead, about 8 feet from the ground, there’s a long, thick strip of bamboo. The bamboo is held up by tan colored rope—thick, professional knots secured to either end of the wood, and leading back up to hooks on the ceiling.
In fact, when you look closer. You can see that there are hooks mounted to the ceiling in multiple areas around the room. Not to mention the dozen spirals of rope hanging off hooks near the fireplace.
You swallow the saliva that has pooled in your mouth.
“You…use rope bondage to relieve stress?”
“Oh? You’re familiar with it?” he questions, stepping across the threshold of the room. He reaches up to grab one of the perfectly kept bundles of rope—trailing his fingers across the soft, red fibers.
You hold your arms shyly in front of you. This is a turn of events which you hadn’t been expecting tonight.
“I’ve always found it to be interesting, and beautiful, in a way,” you admit, purposely leaving out how you find it entirely too arousing as well. Just the thought of Barbatos tying you up has wetness already beginning to gather between your thighs. But, you don’t want to make it awkward—fearing that perhaps Barb doesn’t get any sexual gratification from the activity—so you stay silent about how much it turns you on.
“So, you wouldn’t be opposed to helping me relieve some of my stress, if this is what is involved?”
Your gaze shifts from the handsome butler, to the rope in his grasp, to the bamboo anchor in the center of the room. You wet your lips, and then smile at him.
“Of course. I’d be more than happy to.”
At your words, Barbatos steps forward—stalking over to where you’re standing just within the ring of couches. His mossy eyes regard you softly. You feel your heart hammering away within your ribs.
“Do you promise you’re saying that sincerely? I don’t want to hurt you, nor push you beyond what you’re comfortable with.”
“I know, Barb,” you tell him softly. You reach your hand out—fingertips skimming over slightly rough fibers of the rope. You’re sure you’ll feel a slight bite when he ties you up, but the thought only serves to heighten your arousal. “I wouldn’t agree if I didn’t want to help. And I trust you. Please don’t worry—this is what I want.”
A pleased look settling on his face, he leans down and presses the briefest of kisses to your forehead.
“I’m glad to hear so.”
Taking a step back, the butler regards you contemplatively.
I would hate to ruin your dress. And it’s easier to tie with less clothing in the way. Would you mind removing it?”
Your face heats up at the request, but you nod—moving to slip the straps off your shoulders. After all, he’d massaged you all those weeks ago. It’s not like seeing your body is anything new to him.
“Just the dress?”
It’s an innocent question. You want to make his job as easy as possible.
“You—”
“Hey, isn’t this basically just more work for you?” you interrupt him as you shimmy your dress down your torso to the swell of your hips. He chuckles, gaze flitting down to look at your sheer-lace bra. The black color matches your underwear—although the panties aren’t lace, nor see through. (You hadn’t accidentally wanted to flash a demon (or at least, reveal too much) in town if the wind decided to flip your dress up on your journey over).
“It does take effort on my part, but I don’t consider it to be “work”,” he tells you. “And yes, just your dress is fine. Your undergarments won’t get in the way.”
“Okay,” you nod, voice soft. You finish stepping out of your dress—discarding it onto one of the nearby couches. Barb looks over your form appreciatively, and you seriously wish you could learn how to control your blushes.
“It’s important that you stretch, first. I don’t want you hurting your back again.”
“What? Not interested in giving me any more massages?” you tease, eyes sparkling at him. He breathes a laugh.
“I never said that.”
As you bend over—touching your toes, and stretching out your tight muscles, Barbatos moves across the room to grab more spools of rope. The entire time, his gaze lingers on you—taking note of your level of flexibility.
He’s pleasantly surprised by what he sees. The cogs in his brain start turning as he silently debates which position he should tie you in.
After a few minutes of stretching, it seems that Barbatos is finally satisfied to begin.
“This may take some time to tie. If you’re ever uncomfortable, or the rope feels too tight—please let me know.”
“I will, Barb.”
With that, the demon butler is quick to get to work. He instructs you to lift your arms, and you do so obediently—watching him as he wraps the rope around your torso, just beneath your bust. He stops every so often to check the firmness of his ties—making sure that he can slip a finger between the rope and your skin. He wants it to be loose enough that it won’t impede your blood flow, but tight enough that you’ll stay bound once he attempts to suspend you.
Before long, Barbatos has dressed you with a chess harness—your clothed tits pressing against the lacy fabric of your bra as the ties above, below, and between your breasts squeeze your mounds and push them outwards.
Satisfied with his work, he nods his head and takes a step away.
“Could you please sit on the floor, and spread your legs?”
His request reminds you of the growing pool of arousal in your nether region, but you comply nonetheless.
Sitting on the hardwood floor, you drop your arms to your sides and spread your legs. As you do so, the butler walks over to the fireplace. Just above the mantle is a hook—a strand of rope securely weaved around it. As Barbatos works on loosening the thick, hemp rope, you trace it’s path across the ceiling, and realize it’s the rope currently controlling the height of the bamboo anchor above you.
As the demon unfurls the rope from around the hook, the solid strip of bamboo moves closer to the ground. Soon, it’s only a few feet from the floor.
Satisfied with its new height—at least for the time being—Barbatos loosely wraps the rope back around the hook and then returns to your side.  He kneels behind you, and you gasp when his fingers tug at the knot of rope between your shoulder blades.
“Too tight?” he questions, reaching to snag another bundle of red rope from the couch. You shake your head.
“Nope, just right.”
He hums considerately at your comment, sounding a little amused.
You remain silent as he drags more rope against your back—threading it through the bulk of your chest harness. Each pass of the soft fabric has goosebumps rising on your skin, and your gaze glances down between your still spread legs.
Hopefully since your panties are black, he won’t be able to see the wet spot that has formed…
You breathe shakily when Barbatos hefts the rope over the bamboo bar—giving it a tug. You feel the chest harness hug your tits ever tighter at the action, and you bite your lip to hold back from groaning. Honestly, if he touched your clit right now, you’re sure he could bring you to climax with little effort…
However, since you’re still attempting to be considerate of the fact that this is his stress relief, you don’t say anything. You remain carefully silent as he secures you to the anchor via the chest harness—an additional length of rope winding around your waist. He ties it to the bamboo as well—hoping to take some of the pressure off of your chest, seeing as he doesn’t want to bruise your ribs.
Once that’s taken care of, he moves in front of you. There are two more lengths of rope in his grasp.
For the first time in a while, Barbatos takes a moment to regard you. He’s been so caught up in his work, that aside from little inquiries as to your comfort, he hasn’t gotten a chance to really check in on you.
What he finds before him is a little startling.
Your cheeks are painted red—eyes blown wide, and lips slightly swollen from how much you’ve been biting them in order to try and control your reactions. As his gaze rakes down, glossing over your chest, he notes that your breathing is quick--your nipples taut against the thin cups of your bra. A tell-tale sign of your arousal.
A handsome grin tugs at his lips.
Reaching down, he squeezes the meat of your inner thigh with one hand, stretching your leg open wider. He lifts his other hand to his mouth—effortlessly tugging the white glove off with his teeth—before he’s dragging two of his digits gently up the crotch of your panties.
“My, I guess I shouldn’t have worried about being selfish with my request,” he chuckles. You pout at him angrily, eyes glancing away.
“Don’t tease me…I was trying to be polite…”
The pout on your lips fades away the moment his naked palm cups your cheek. Gently, he guides you to look at him—his face just inches from yours.
“I apologize for teasing,” he says. “I’m pleased to know you’re enjoying yourself beyond what I expected.”
To emphasize his words, he leans in and presses a tender kiss to your lips. Immediately you’re moaning, hands reaching forward to fist in his shirt—keeping him close to you. Your mouths slot together—slow, languid kisses being exchanged between you.
“Would you like to continue?” he eventually mumbles, and when your eyelashes flutter open, you find him staring at you—a heat in his gaze that hadn’t been present before.
“Yes, please.”
Sitting back, Barbatos tugs off his other glove and immediately resumes his work.
He starts at your ankles—wrapping the rope around you a few times, before tossing it over the bamboo--this time on the outside of the sturdy hemp, which is keeping the light-weight wood anchored to the ceiling. He repeats the action on your other leg, mirroring his previous actions, and then moves to make a tie just above your knee with a new spool.
This time, there’s an additional command.
“Lift your arms up.”
You do so, watching him with bated breath as he once again threads the rope across the slab of wood above you. This time, however, he pulls the rope tight—hiking your leg as high as it will go in combination with the ankle ties keeping your legs spread wide.
Once the rope is taut, he ties it around your wrists—letting you keep your arms bent. Your hand instinctively moves to hold onto the rope once the knot is finished, and you give it an experimental tug downward. The additional tension causes your legs to part even more—revealing all you have to offer.
“Are you, ah, fond of having girls spread wide like this for you?” you ask, a little breathless as you watch him grab one final coil of the rope. This time he moves to secure it around your upper thighs, right near your pelvis. He threads it beneath the rope around your waist—tugging it tight, and truly making sure your legs are spread as much as possible. You actually start to feel a dull strain as he makes the final tie—mirroring it on your other leg, per usual.
“I wouldn’t say that,” he responds, smiling as he pulls on the rope in a few places—making small adjustments to the tension in certain ties in order to ensure that your weight will be evenly distributed. “It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to do this, and I can confidently say that you’re making it far more entertaining than I expected.”
“Well, you’re welcome for that.”
Chuckling, he presses to his feet and moves past you. The butler makes his way to the fireplace, once more taking hold of the rope tied above it.
“I’m going to suspend you now,” he informs you, and your pussy clenches at his words. “If you feel pain, tell me and we will stop immediately.”
“Okay,” you breathe, licking your lips. In the next moment, you feel the rope around you dig into your skin ever so slightly—your ass inching off of the ground as Barbatos effortlessly moves the bamboo anchor higher into the air.
Within seconds—you're fully suspended, your body about 3 feet from the floor. The rope bites at your flesh, but not painfully. Just enough to remind you that you’re tied up, in the air, and at Barbatos’ mercy.
Since you don’t express any discontent, Barbatos re-secures the rope around the hook, and then makes his way to the center of the room. He takes his time walking around you—surveying his work. His fingers trail across your sensitive skin, making you gasp. Your legs jump against the bindings in reaction to his touches, but your limbs barely move--his skillful ties keeping you obediently held in the position he has chosen for you.
“Barb…,” you whine, not knowing how much more of this you can take. You’ve been horny since the moment you’d stepped foot into the room, and you’re sure at least an hour has passed since he began tying you—if not more. Your panties are practically soaked. You need some type of relief, and soon, or you honestly think you’ll explode.
Barbatos steps in front of you, two fingers hooking beneath your chin and angling your head up to look at him. He smiles.
“Is there a problem?”
There’s a mirthful glint in his eye. It’s clear he’s feeling more playful now that he’s in his element.
“I…please touch me.”
“I thought earlier you expressed worry in me doing “extra work”? It certainly sounds like you’re asking me to exert myself with that request.”
“Barb, please,” you whine, struggling against the rope as you attempt to lean up and kiss him. There’s no way he can deny you after all of this—not when you’re in such a state. “Please. I need you.”
Your begging sounds like music to his ears, and he gives in a little—leaning down to kiss you. You melt into the sensation.
“How would you like me to touch you, Y/N?”
“I…I want your cock, this time,” you say honestly, mumbling the words embarrassedly against him. You feel bad asking. After your previous escapade, you’d gotten the feeling that Barbatos was more comfortable in pleasing others, rather than focusing on himself. After all, despite having gotten hard, he had never asked to have sex with you. He’d been content with getting you off on his fingers, and likely would have let himself remain hard without solace if you hadn’t offered to help him in return.
Barbatos pauses at your request.
“It’s okay, if you’re not comfortable,” you quickly say, understanding painted in your eyes as you regard him. “I just…have been thinking about the possibility of having you inside of me, since last time, so—”
“If I am what you want, then I shall give you what you ask,” he interrupts, leaning in to steal another tender kiss. A quiet moan escapes you.
“Are you sure?”
“I wouldn’t be offering otherwise.”
He cups your cheeks, peppering you with kisses, and then steps back. You watch him with rapt attention as he fiddles with his belt—working to free his cock from it’s confines. You hadn’t noticed before, but he’s already hard—straining against the zipper of his slacks.
Luckily, he’s skilled with his hands. It only takes a few seconds until his length is free—his slacks and the boxer briefs beneath them resting just below his pelvis.
“We should have taken these off, if you desired this outcome,” he comments, finger looping beneath the crotch of your panties. You pout at him, but don’t bother retorting. Right now, the only thing on your mind is Barbatos putting his cock inside of you and fucking you until you cum.
Noting your hungry stare, Barbatos doesn’t bother asking permission before he moves your panties to the side, revealing your slick womanhood. Grasping his length, he guides the tip of his cock between your folds—wetting himself with your arousal. When he catches your clit, you openly moan—body flexing against the ropes holding you in place.
Barbatos can’t help but smile.
“Always so needy.”
You open your mouth to respond, but all that comes out is a heated groan—the demon butler sheathing himself into your heat without warning. Your sopping walls allow him to glide in easily, and the sudden stretch has your eyes rolling back.
“Fuck, Barb,” you breathe his name, fixing him with the most pitiful face you can manage. You need him to move—now.
He’s more than happy to comply.
Barbatos rocks his hips back and forth gently, fucking in and out of you with care as he assures that you’re okay for him to move despite the abrupt intrusion. He feels your walls clench around him—seeking more—and he takes a deep breath at the sensation. You feel so good.
Gripping your waist, he thrusts into you with fervor. His speed increases, a blush dusting his cheeks as his gaze shifts between your blissful face, and your greedy pussy. In all his years, he’s never seen someone take his cock so beautifully.
Quick pants slipping past your lips, you instinctively tug at the rope wrapped around your wrists—accidentally spreading your legs wider as he fucks you. You can feel the strain on your thigh muscles, but right now, it’s the least of your worries. You’re too preoccupied with the way Barbatos’ cock is dragging inside of you—hitting you in all the right places.
“Please touch my clit,” you gasp, sensing your impending orgasm. You feel bad, being so close already, but you can’t help it. Barbatos’ cock throbs as he realizes how quickly you’re coming unraveled thanks to him. At this rate, he won’t last very long either.
Always happy to serve, the butler removes one hand from your waist and presses his thumb into your clit. The swift, side to side motion against the sensitive bundle of nerves has you choking on a moan—your head lolling backwards.
“Oh fuck,” you bite, the muscles in your torso tensing. Barbatos can feel your pussy tightening around him, and he clenches his jaw. Keeping his rhythm, it’s only another minute until you’re crying out his name—body spasming against the bindings as you reach the apex of your pleasure. Your pussy milks around his cock, constricting so tightly that a curse actually falls from the demon’s lips.
With a strained groan, he pulls himself from inside of you—his seed spurting against your used pussy, with a few stray droplets painting your thighs.
You’re just about to whine at the sudden loss of him when the door to the room creaks open. Immediately, you’re ejected from the bliss of your orgasm—heart hammering against your ribs and eyes flying open as you turn to see who has discovered you and Barbatos in such a compromising state.
“I actually managed to get the committee to end the meeting early, and went in search of the two of you,” the Demon Prince himself speaks, stepping inside. “When I discovered our typical spot empty, and then noticed the lack of tea in the kitchen cupboards, I thought I’d better check here. Seems I was right to.”
Diavolo chuckles as the door clicks closed behind him. He reaches up to loosen his tie, his infamous red coat nowhere to be found.
“My Lord,” Barbatos speaks, bowing. You glance down and notice that the butler has already tucked himself back into his pants—looking perfect as usual. The only hint of his recently experienced bliss is a few stray hairs sticking to his forehead, and a dust of blush on his cheeks.
Oh, and the cum that’s leaking down your skin.
The Demon Prince smiles pleasantly at his butler before his heavy golden gaze shifts to you. Instantly, you’re feeling warm all over—embarrassed beyond belief to be seen by Diavolo in such a lewd state.
Your little fling in the bath with him is one thing, but being hoisted mid-air, legs spread wide, with nowhere to hide yourself is another.
“Diav—”
“Impeccable work, as always, Barbatos,” Diavolo interrupts you. He steps into the center of the room, reaching forward to grip the strands of rope parting your breasts. He gives the harness an appreciative tug, eliciting a gasp from you. His eyes sparkle at the sound.
“Thank you, my Lord.”
“I see you were a little zealous today,” he continues, eyes falling to your used pussy. Your breath catches—gaze widening in surprise as Diavolo drags his finger through a stripe of Barbatos’ cum. Behind the Prince, the butler dips his head.
“Y/N requested it of me. I would be a fool to have said no.”
“Indeed,” Diavolo chuckles, his attention never leaving you. His large hands roam across your legs—skimming over the rope where it digs into the soft flesh of your thighs. There’s an appreciative glint in his gaze as he surveys your body—beautiful and helpless thanks to Barbatos’ rope work.
“You know, Y/N,” he begins after a minute, his fingertips trailing up the length of your arms, and making you shiver. He leans down to your eye level, smiling at you handsomely. “I was a little worried, following the incident with the aphrodisiac, that perhaps I had overstepped my boundaries. However, following recent events, I’m wondering if it’s not that a line was crossed, but perhaps that it’s me you’re not interested in.”
You shift your gaze to Barbatos, wondering if he had told Diavolo the outcome of the massage he’d given you a few weeks prior, but his face reveals nothing. He’s back to being the perfect butler in the presence of his Lord.
“Lord Diavolo, t-that’s—,” you swallow the lump in your throat, arousal flaring in your gut when Diavolo presses a finger beneath your chin, turning your attention back to him. “That’s not it at all. I promise.”
He cocks a curious eyebrow, waiting for you to explain. You take a shaky breath, muscles flexing beneath the bindings as your post-orgasm high begins to fade, making the bite of the rope more obvious.
“I…have wanted you—to have you, ever since that night. I just…didn’t have the guts to inquire about the possibility…I was hoping maybe you would approach me instead, and when it didn’t happen, I assumed the window of opportunity had closed.”
“Oh, Y/N,” he moves his hands to cup your cheeks, gently skimming his thumb across the warm flesh. “You are more than welcome to ask anything of me.”
“I want you, then. Now,” you breath, a fresh wave of arousal pooling in your belly as you stare at him. Your words have his golden eyes darkening with hunger.
The months worth of unspoken desire fills the space between your bodies--igniting a flame in Diavolo’s blood.
“Say it again,” he commands. You strain against the bindings, wishing you could touch him.
“I want you, Lord Diavolo. Please fuck me.”
In the next beat, Diavolo is on your lips. He licks into your mouth, swallowing all of your needy little whines and moans. One of his hands moves to tangle in your hair—trapping your lips against his own—while the other finds purchase on your breast.
He slips a finger beneath the lace cup, and tugs it down without hesitation—freeing the previously covered mound. You gasp around his tongue, thighs flexing. You can feel arousal beginning to dribble down your cunt, pussy once again aching to be used and filled.
“Barbatos,” Diavolo rumbles, finally pulling back to give you air. The butler appears at the edge of your vision as you struggle to breathe. He places a hand over his heart.
“Adjust the height of the suspension, and then come here. It’s not fair of me to make you watch. Come and join.”
“Yes, My Lord.”
Barbatos disappears from your field of vision, and a few moments later, you squirm as you feel yourself being hoisted higher into the air. The sensation stops when your pussy is at the same height as Diavolo’s growing bulge.
“I can’t be mad at the two of you for enjoying yourselves without me, when it acts as such good preparation,” Diavolo chuckles, two of his fingers slipping between your glistening folds. They push into your heat with little resistance, so the Prince adds a third. You feel a stretch, but it’s far from painful—a quiet moan sneaking past your lips.
He watches you with arousal swimming in his golden irises.
Leaning in to lap against the unmarred skin of your neck, Diavolo pumps his fingers in and out of you. Wet sounds fill the room along with your breathy whines, and the minute Barbatos steps up behind you—moving his hands to fondle your breasts—you let go of any remaining decency.
You throw your head back, body shaking as the two pleasure you. Groans fall from your lips, hips bucking against Diavolo’s hand. You crave him, desperate to feel your pussy stretched around his monstrous cock.
“Please,” you beg, barely able to get the word out. Diavolo shushes you with a hot breath against your neck—canines nipping at your flesh.
“Be patient,” he tells you. “One more.”
He momentarily removes his fingers from inside you before pushing back in—a fourth joining the others this time. The sensation steals your breath away—body thrashing against the bindings. You’re so stupidly horny that you don’t even care if it hurts. You need Diavolo inside of you.
“You must trust Lord Diavolo, Y/N,” Barbatos pipes up. You can feel his breath on your ear—his mouth moving to rest on the side of your neck that Diavolo isn’t currently assaulting with his lips, teeth and tongue. To accentuate his words, he rolls your hardened nipples between his fingers. Your pussy clenches around the Demon Prince’s digits.
“He’s only doing this so not to hurt you.”
“I know, but—,” Diavolo cuts off your whining with a rough bite against the junction of your shoulder. You gasp at the pain, writhing, and once more he’s rewarded with your pussy gripping his fingers so deliciously. The Demon Prince’s cock throbs at the sensation, craving to be inside of you, but he knows he can’t take you as easily as others might. The last thing he wants is to break you.
…as fun as that idea may be.
“You’re doing so well,” he praises you, tongue lapping over the indentation of his teeth. A bit of blood pools in the shallow divots—the tangy red liquid making him groan deep within his chest. He pumps his fingers in and out of you for what feels like ages, continuing until there’s no resistance.
Then, finally, his digits leave you with an embarrassing squelch. You mourn the loss with a needy whine, eyes peeling open to stare at him. However, when you see Diavolo messing with his slacks—his cock springing free and standing tall against his abdomen just as you had remembered it—your protest ceases.
Instead, you’re left swallowing the saliva that pools in your mouth—cunt throbbing as Diavolo presses himself back between your legs. Barbatos is by no means small with regard to dick size, but Diavolo makes taking the butler seem like child’s play.
“Remember to breathe,” The Prince tells you, tracing his length between your folds. The head of his cock pushes against your entrance, and despite his warning, you feel your breath catch. Even four fingers are barely enough to prepare you to take him.
“Breathe,” Barbatos whispers against your neck, his hands moving to settle just beneath your breasts. He gives you a reassuring squeeze, and you finally suck in a shaky breath of air. Diavolo allows you a moment to ground yourself before he moves once more—managing to fully slide the head of his dick in, along with a few inches of shaft.
You see stars.
“Fuck!” your entire body shakes, pain and arousal mingling in a dangerous combination. Your chest heaves, knuckles turning white with how tightly you’re gripping the rope binding your wrists. And yet, you can’t take your eyes off the sight of Diavolo’s cock, and the way it disappears inside of you. You don’t dare look away.
Hands gripping your waist, Diavolo takes a deep breath in through his nose, and then cants his hips forward. The rest of his length stuffs inside of you—stomach bulging ever so slightly from his girth—and your mind goes white.
Hot tears stream down your cheeks.
For a frightening second, Diavolo worries that he has injured you.
“Y/N—”
“Please please please please move!” you cry, chest heaving. You struggle against the bindings, breaking off into a desperate sob. The Demon Prince and his butler share a surprised look. Then, Diavolo is grinning, ever so slowly rocking his hips into you. Each movement assaults you with a new wave of pleasure.
“You didn’t tell me that she gets like this,” Diavolo remarks, glancing to his long-time friend. Barbatos shakes his head, his hands once more settling on your breasts. When the butler flicks his thumbs against your nipples, a muscle clenches in Diavolo’s jaw—your pussy constricting around him.
“I had no idea it was possible,” Barbatos responds, but you don’t hear their conversation. You can’t tear your gaze from the spot where Diavolo’s cock vanishes between your walls. You’ve never been so full before—so stretched--right at your breaking point.
It feels so good.
“Y/N,” Diavolo speaks your name tenderly, drawing you from your state of desperation. Your blown-out eyes turn up to him. He cups your cheek, brushing over the damp tear tracks on your skin. “What are your safe words?”
“S…Stoplight colors,” you tell him, and he nods. Leaning in, he presses a sweet kiss to your forehead.
“Use them if you need to.”
“Yes, My Lord.”
Feeling better about your safety, Diavolo once more grips your waist, and begins fucking into your pussy with quick, smooth strokes. Each drag of his cock inside of you has you moaning—arousal rapidly building in the pit of your stomach. A part of you hopes that you’ll last long enough to cum with the Demon Prince, but when Barbatos settles his mouth against your neck—sucking at a particularly sensitive patch of flesh—you reach your climax without warning.
A cry tears from your throat. Your body spasms, pussy milking around Diavolo’s cock and hugging him so firmly that he actually snarls at the sensation. However, he doesn’t bother reprimanding you for the unprompted orgasm. No, instead he waits just long enough to allow the height of your pleasure to subside, before he begins snapping his hips into you with abandon.
Your lips part in a silent scream, Diavolo fucking you hard enough to make your tits bounce despite the upright position. As you struggle to maintain any sense of coherency, Barbatos hugs you tightly from behind, whispering quiet praises against your skin. It’s truly the only thing keeping you ground, at the moment.
“I can feel you getting tight again,” Diavolo remarks, the slightest growl in his voice, even as he chuckles. “Are you going to cum with me, Y/N?”
You shake your head violently. “I-I can’t. I can’t.”
You’re convinced that another orgasm will kill you.
Diavolo glances past your shoulder, to Barbatos. The butler nods his head. Without speaking a word, Barbatos knows his Lord’s request.
Pressing an apologetic kiss to your shoulder, Barbatos lowers one of his hands between your spread legs. Two of his fingers find your clit, and you choke down a sob. You desperately attempt to convince the royals that you’re unable to cum a third time, but the way your walls continue to contract around Diavolo’s cock says otherwise.
“Cum with me, and then you can rest,” Diavolo speaks, leaning in to capture your lips. He can taste your salty tears through the kiss.
“P-please,” you struggle to breathe, blurry eyes settling on the Demon Prince as he sits back—snapping his cock inside of you particularly hard. “Please.”
“Please what?” Diavolo asks, golden eyes soaking in the sight of you absolutely falling apart for him.
“Please…,” you repeat, voice trailing off. You’ve been so adamant about your inability to orgasm again, but now—with Diavolo thrusting into you, and Barbatos’ fingers working at your clit—you’re once again on the edge of release. You sob, the sound broken.
“Please let me cum.”
Diavolo grins handsomely.
“Cum for me, Y/N.”
And you’re helpless to obey, your body spasming as your third and final orgasm of the night tears through you. Your chest heaves—struggling to take in air as Diavolo fucks you through your pleasure—chasing his own bliss.
Thankfully, he comes only a few seconds behind you—seating his length fully inside of you, and stuffing you to the brim as he spills his seed between your sopping walls. The sound of ragged breathing fills the room.
You fade out of consciousness for a moment.
“You did so well, taking Lord Diavolo,” Barbatos whispers into your hair, bringing you back into reality. He presses a soft kiss to your head. You whimper at his words, exhausted, and craving more praise and comfort.
Knowing that you need to be released from the suspension, Diavolo finally pulls his softening cock from inside of you. Immediately, his cum is slipping from your used heat—dripping down your pussy, and even onto the floor at your feet.
“Barbatos,” Diavolo speaks, taking a step back. The butler nods, swiftly moving to unravel the spool of rope secured above the mantle. Soon, you find yourself on the floor, both Diavolo and Barbatos working to undo the many intricate knots and ties.
It takes a few minutes—you whining and begging for affection the entire time—but finally the two free you from your bindings. As you move your limbs around, you can feel blood rushing back into certain areas of your body.
You’re definitely going to be sore tomorrow. For many reasons.
“You did beautifully,” Diavolo whispers as he scoops you into his arms. He moves to settle on the couch, cradling you in his lap. He brushes a few stray hands of hair out of your face, smiling when you reach up and cup his cheeks—tugging him into a kiss.
“I’m seeing many new sides of you today,” he remarks with a chuckle. You lean back, tiredly pouting at him.
“Well, this is the first time I’ve been fully tied up, suspended, and fucked by both a Demon Prince, and his butler, so.”
“That would explain it.”
He grins wider, a fond look in his eyes as he dips down to press a kiss to your forehead. As he does so Barbatos kneels at your side. There’s a pleasant smile on his face, his now-gloved hands gingerly trailing against your legs—dipping into the shallow marks left by the rope.
“How are you feeling?” he questions. His voice is tender, full of concern.
“I’m okay,” you say. “Sore, and tired, but…I feel good.” You extend your arm—fingertips trailing against his jaw. Barbatos leans into the feeling, cupping your hand with his own. “Thank you both for taking such good care of me. Even though you may have exerted yourselves more, rather than relaxing tonight, like I was hoping you would do…”
“I can’t speak for Barbatos, but personally, I feel much better now,” Diavolo pipes up. The butler nods in agreement, turning his head to press a kiss to your palm.
“Yes, I agree. I feel quite relaxed.”
You roll your eyes at them, breathing a laugh.
“If you say so.”
The royals share a laugh as well.
“You need to rehydrate. Shall I fetch us some beverages?”
“If you wouldn’t mind, Barbatos. It’s unfortunate we’re out of tea.”
The butler presses to his feet, bowing minutely. “It is. I will be sure to restock the pantry soon.”
He turns, heading towards the door, but your voice stops him.
“Wait--,” you speak, noting a clock on the wall nearby. It’s already past 11. “—It’s getting late. I don’t want to take more of your time. I know you still have a busy schedule tomorrow.”
“I would think that Lucifer and his brothers will be concerned, should you return home in your current state,” Barbatos comments, and you pause, glancing down at yourself. You’re covered in rope markings all over your body, not to mention the hickies and bite marks now littering your neck. On top of that, you’re still not even sure if you can properly move on your own, let alone walk.
“I…”
“I was going to ask you to stay with us,” Diavolo pipes up, smiling at you. “If you don’t mind sharing the bed, I’d prefer to have you close tonight.”
Your cheeks heat up at his words, but you can’t deny how appealing it sounds—spending the night in Diavolo’s arms. Especially considering how he’d just ruined you.
“Okay,” you concede.
“Good!”
You gasp as Diavolo presses to his feet, still securely holding you in his arms. “In that case, please bring the beverages to my chambers, Barbatos.”
“Yes, My Lord.”
The butler then disappears from the room. Diavolo follows him out, but not before tossing a handily available blanket atop your naked form. Your grip at the soft fabric, pouting as you watch your cute dress get left behind on the messy, rope covered floor.
“My dress…”
“Barbatos will likely return and clean up before the night ends. I’m sure it will be returned to you by morning,” Diavolo reassures you. You curl your hand into the dark fabric of his shirt, glancing up at him.
“That’s still more work for him…”
“You need to stop worrying about us,” he scolds you, giving you a light squeeze. You knock your forehead against his chest.
“It’s hard. I want you both to stop being so busy.”
“Soon,” he reassures you with a chuckle, and you feel his lips press into the crown of your hair. “Then we’ll go back to having Sunday tea.”
Perfect.
That night, you pass out tucked against Diavolo’s broad chest, before Barbatos ever appears with the drinks. At some point, a wet cloth drags between your legs, and a straw is placed between your lips, but you’re too exhausted to remember anything more than that. All you know is that when you wake up the next morning, Diavolo is gone, your bladder is full, and there’s a note on the nightstand addressed to you.
It’s Barbatos’ handwriting.
Y/N,
Lord Diavolo would like to apologize for being unable to keep you company this morning. We promise to make it up to you at a later time.
Your dress, along with vitamins, and other health supplements that will help you should you be ailing from the excitement of last night, are at the foot of the bed.
Blinking, you look down and realize that indeed your dress is folded neatly at your feet--a small gift bag beside it. But there’s no way you’ll need such medicine, right?
Slowly, you press to your feet, and immediately groan. Yep, everything is sore. You’ve never felt so achy all over.
Lucifer is here for a meeting. He will walk you home at 9am, once it is finished. Please meet him at the front doors.
If there’s anything else you need, please let myself, or Lord Diavolo know.
- Barbatos
You note that your DDD has been conveniently placed on the nightstand beside the note.
Clicking the phone screen to life—you pause.
It’s already 8:50.
“Shit!”
You rush to prepare yourself—dressing haphazardly, and running through the halls of the castle in order to meet Lucifer on time. You arrive at the front doors to find him waiting for you. He cocks an eyebrow, gaze falling to your current outfit. You’re adorning the dress you’d worn the day before, but beneath it, you’re also wearing a white turtleneck.
How curious.
“…did you enjoy your stay?”
There’s an amused look on his face—one that tells you he won’t be fooled by whatever excuse you decide to try and come up with. So, you settle for giving him an honest response.
“I did.”
And you can’t wait until your next one.

Not a Spying, Not a Fake Date
The day Marinette met Adrien Agreste—the hottest supermodel alive, an only son of fashion icon Gabriel Agreste, and her long-time, embarrassing celebrity crush—was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. Instead, not only did she present herself as a total klutz, but his friend Nino had stolen Alya only two weeks later.
On a Saturday afternoon, no less!
Don’t get her wrong. Marinette was happy that Alya finally was interested in a guy more than the latest scoop. And she absolutely didn't mind skipping one of their weekly get-togethers in favour of her BFF going on a coffee date with their new classmate. Marinette wouldn’t be bored. She could work on one of her projects or play video games… if the day wouldn't be so perfectly gorgeous and sunny. Wasting it inside would’ve been a crime. A walk around a local farmer’s market, on the other hand, sounded just about right. And if said market happened to be across the street from where her friend was meeting Nino, that was a pure coincidence.
Nothing more. Nothing less.
Marinette was absolutely not spying on anyone, and if she glanced the couples’ way once or twice, it was only to appease her morbid curiosity. No harm done. She wasn’t interfering. She couldn’t even hear what the two of them were talking about. Surely not about Adrien. Or her. Or her and Adrien. Nope. No way. Impossible. She wasn’t curious at all.
“You know you aren’t very subtle?”
Marinette froze, her blood running cold. She knew that voice. It was ingrained in her memory by now. But there was no way Adrien Agreste was standing right behind her, whispering in her ear. It must be nothing but a product of her imagination. Yes! A hallucination of a post-pubescent girl with a crush of irrational proportions.
Still, she spun around just to check if it was time to make an appointment with a therapi—
Her jaw hit the floor, eyes widening. The man in front of her sounded like Adrien, yet he barely looked the part. Most of his hair was hidden under a beanie, a pair of glasses framed his face. Baggy, black clothes covered his body. His chiselled jaw sported a light stubble, and a hippy backpack was slung over his shoulders. Not a shred of his classy self left, replaced by a sexy, casual chic version of the man.
“Adrien?”
He winked. “Looking beautiful as always, Princess.”
Her cheeks flamed despite her knowing better. He’d given her that nickname only because she was a clumsy mess, not because he was trying to flirt. Princess, aka "damsel in distress", someone in need of being saved. In her case, frequently being caught before she hit the ground as she kept tripping around him. Stupid Agreste and his stupidly handsome face.
A movement in the cafe caught her eye, and Marinette nervously grinned. Adrien was Nino’s best friend. There was no way he wouldn't know where Nino was taking Alya for their first date, which meant Marinette better be very careful in her words and actions, or else she wouldn’t be the damsel for much longer. The title of a “Creepy Stalker” didn't sound the bit least appealing to her.
“You look nice too,” she said, looking her best innocent self. “Different. I barely recognized you. I like the glasses. And stubble. Stubble is nice. Little of it. Not too much. Too much would look shabby. But yours looks good. Perfect. Not shabby at all.”
He chuckled, a corner of his lips curling into a smile. “I’ll take that as a compliment.”
“You should. It was one. A compliment.”
“Why, thank you.”
Another couple left the cafe, catching both of their attention. Marinette quickly shifted her gaze to the apples at the stall she was standing by. As long as she acted natural, Adrien wouldn't suspect a thing.
“So, what are you doing here today?”
She inwardly groaned and stashed a few apples in a paper bag. “Apples. I’m here for the apples.”
“What a coincidence.” Adrien picked one of the red ones and twirled it in his hand. “I’m here for the apples too. By the way… Nino just asked for the bill, so if you were planning to do more shopping in other places, I’d say that’s our cue to pay for these and get ready to leave.”
Marinette glared his way, her whole face burning up. That cocky smile, that glint in his eyes. Of course, he’d catch her. But she wouldn’t give up so easily or she wasn’t Marinette Dupain-Cheng: her papa’s pumpkin, her mother’s sweetheart, the future of Paris’ fashion! “I’m not spying on anyone if that’s what you’re implying.”
“I wouldn't dare to accuse you of such a thing.” He grinned, putting the apple back. “But… may I suggest a few tweaks to your disguise? You know, in case you’re still up for some non-spying activities today.”
“I don’t need any tweaks. I’ve been here for an hour, and they haven’t noticed me. I could tail them all day if I wanted to, and they would not notice me.”
She froze, the last of her hopes to escape this unscathed vanishing right before her eyes. Curse this man! It was his fault her brain was shutting down around him.
The corner of Adrien’s lips curled in a smile as he leaned closer. “You might be well hidden amongst the rainbow of produce here, but, believe me, as soon as you step outside, that bright red hoodie of yours will give you away instantly.”
“In your dreams,” Marinette huffed, folding her arms over her chest. “This hoodie is the only thing in my closet Alya hasn't seen yet. My sunglasses cover half of my face, and I let my hair down instead of my usual ponytails. They would never recognize me.”
“Well, I did, didn’t I?”
“That’s because you came close. They are at a distance.”
“Nino will notice someone trailing them in a bright red hoodie. Believe me, that man lets no detail escape him. But give me five minutes, and your own parents won’t recognize you even up close.”
She quirked an eyebrow. “What for? The date is over.”
“Far from it. Nino planned coffee, a walk around the city, and a movie. He bought the tickets this morning.”
Adrien seemed to be confident in what he was saying, but Marinette couldn’t trust someone she’d recently met over her best friend, even if she was in love with him. “I don’t believe you.”
“There is only one way to find out if I’m lying.” He stretched his hand towards her. “Shall we?”
Shall they what? Why was he even here? She had to get out of the house for physical rest and mental health. What was his excuse?
“And what are you doing here, M Agreste?”
“I told you already.” The corners of his lips curled up in a sly grin. “Apples.”
“Right. And you went all out on a disguise for that?”
“Precisely.” He grinned wider. “I also knew Nino was having a date nearby, and being the great friend I am, I didn’t want them to see me and think I’m spying on them.”
She wanted to smack that shit-eating grin off his face. But Nino and Alya were exiting the cafe, and Adrien tilted his head to the side, his hand still outstretched toward her. “So? Want to not spy on them some more, or do you have other plans for the day?”
No, she didn’t, and perhaps she should be smarter, but something inside her was melting by the second, Adrien’s smile slowly massacring any scraps of reason she still had. “If you tell anyone, I’ll deny every word.”
“No one shall ever know.” He grinned. “Now, may I suggest a few tweaks to your disguise? To minimize our chances of being discovered.”
“Fine, but be quick. They are walking away.”
Adrien nodded and pointed to her hoodie. “Take this off.”
There was no time for questions, so she silently obeyed. The moment Marinette removed the garment, Adrien was already pulling his black sweater over her head.
“Wait! What are you—“
“Black is less conspicuous.”
“But what about you? It’s chilly, and your shirt doesn’t look very warm.”
“I’ll be fine. I wore that sweater for fashion, not because I was cold.” Stuffing her hoodie in his backpack, he looked her over once more. His face suddenly brightened. He grabbed her hand and pulled her out to the street in the direction of the nearest convenience store.
“We don’t have time for this,” Marinette protested as they neared the door of said establishment. “We’ve already lost them.”
“No, we didn't. We might not see them, but I know where they are.”
“I know that, too,” she grumbled. “In Paris. Where else? Europe, Eurasia. Planet Earth, Solar system. Hard to miss if you fly toward the Sun. ”
Adrien laughed. Long and heartfelt, the sound of his laughter brightened the space around them. There was still a glint of joy in his eye and a hint of mischief in his voice when he recomposed himself. “Nino spent hours planning their route yesterday, and yours truly was helping him. I know where they are headed. We’ll catch up.”
Hesitantly relenting, she followed him in the store, and once inside, Adrien disappeared somewhere between the rows. When he walked out, he was carrying a hairbrush, a couple of pins and hair ties, a small mirror, a plastic tablecloth, and a can of temporary hair dye. Quickly paid for, Adrien pulled her into the nearby alley. "Do you trust me enough for a blind makeover?"
A loaded question. She hardly knew anything about the man behind the carefully crafted image of his public persona. But Marinette loved surprises, and it wasn’t like Adrien even had anything that could potentially cause serious damage to her appearance in his hands.
“You aren’t going to cut my hair, are you?”
“Wouldn’t dare to even think about it.”
“Strangle me with that tablecloth?”
“It’s to protect your clothes from the dye. And before you freak out, it’s a temporary one. It’ll wash out with the first shower.”
At least it was pink—her favourite colour. "Don't make me regret this, Agreste."
“I promise, you won’t.”
She sent a glare his way. “If I do, you’re dead.”
Adrien laughed and slightly bowed. “Your trust means the world to me, Princess. Now, if you’ll allow me, I shall start.”
Marinette nodded, removing the sunglasses from her face. Adrien quickly draped the plastic tablecloth around her shoulders. The moment his hands ran through her hair, her brain short-circuited. It felt like heaven. Pleasant tingles cascaded down her skin at every touch as he brushed, tied, and clipped for what felt like an eternity yet was way too short of a period before he whispered in her ear, “Close your eyes and hold your breath for me for a moment.”
That would not be a problem; Marinette wasn’t sure she was breathing for the last few minutes anyway. He was too close. She could feel the heat of his body, the warmth of his breath, and that was doing things to her she’d rather not experience in a random alley off a busy street in the middle of Paris.
Oblivious to her internal turmoil, Adrien sprayed her hair with the temporary hair dye and proudly pronounced his job finished. The plastic tablecloth off her shoulders, he pushed a small mirror in her hands. “You can open your eyes and look now.”
Her speech was gone the moment her eyes caught her reflection. Most of her bangs were pinned back in the middle, only some of the hair framing her face on either side. The rest was gathered in two cute, messy buns on top of her head that had pink highlights all over them, something the tips of her bangs sported as well. It was a look she’d never thought of doing herself, yet somehow found herself loving more with each passing moment.
“Not bad,” she said, a ghost of a smile on her lips. “Are you secretly a stylist by any chance?”
Adrien chuckled, putting her sunglasses back on her nose. “Nope. But I did grow up in a fashion tycoon’s house watching makeup artists transform people to an unrecognizable degree with simple tricks.”
“Well, you have a talent, M Agreste. I really like this.”
"Why, thank you." Adrien grinned. "I do like the outcome, too. You were always cute, but now you're straight-up adorable. Like a little mouse. An extremely lovely little mouse. ”
Marinette looked away, taking a step towards a street. He wasn’t flirting. He was just complimenting his own work. He wasn’t flirting. “As long as Alya doesn’t recognize me.”
“She won’t.” Adrien followed her. “Hey! Maybe we should hold hands and pretend to be on a date? They’ll never figure us out if we do that.”
Her eyes widened as he offered her his hand. “Are you… are you asking me on a fake date?”
“Do you want me to ask you on a fake date?”
“I’ve never liked anything fake,” she huffed. “Says a lot about one’s character.”
Adrien chuckled. “Then it’s good that all I’m asking is to hold hands. For a better disguise, of course. Not faking. Real hand-holding.”
An earnest smile on his lips, he stepped closer, silently waiting for her reply.
Marinette swallowed, her eyes falling to his outstretched hand, one that looked more and more appealing to hold by the second. How would it feel to have her palm in his? If she chickened out now, she might not get another chance to find out. “Only for the purpose of a disguise.”
"Only for that," Adrien assured, entwining their fingers together, his gaze on her soft and gentle. "Allow me to be your guide on this non-spying, not-a-fake-date mission, Princess."
His words fell on deaf ears as Marinette struggled to keep her composure. Big, strong, and very warm. Somehow safe and secure. Like a lover’s embrace. Holding Adrien’s hand was everything Marinette didn’t know she needed up until now.
He must have noticed something was amiss, cracking a dumb joke to break the awkwardness as they started their walk. Marinette tried her best not to laugh, but Adrien kept going, each joke worse than the preceding one. Ten minutes in, and she couldn't believe she ever had a crush on this… man-child. Adrien was the dorkiest dork she'd ever met. A dork who asked too many questions. So many it felt like he wanted to know everything there was to Marinette. She didn't mind. There were quite a few things she wanted to know about Adrien, as well, and what better way to ask if not as a retaliation to his inquiries?
About an hour later, they spotted Nino and Alya on a promenade by the Seine, walking hand in hand just like them. Her friend beamed, laughing so hard, Marinette could swear there were tears in Alya’s eyes. Nino looked no less happy, grinning at Alya with a satisfied look on his face. A smile found its way onto Marinette’s face. Adrien watched them mesmerized, slightly tightening his grip on her hand.
“Everything looks good,” he said, turning to her. “Their next stop should be a music shop a few blocks away, and there are a few cafes just across the street. Want to get a headstart and have an early lunch?”
Marinette nodded. She could use a drink or two right now. A nice large glass of the cold water because Adrien seemed to take their… whatever-this-was way too seriously, being all attentive and gentlemanly and extra charming, and if not for his assurance they were not on a date, Marinette would’ve surely thought otherwise. Just as she suspected, her silly crush on this man seemed to slowly be turning into something more than a simple attraction. Something different. Something deeper and more profound.
“Awesome!” Adrien grinned, turning back to the town. “I’ll buy us movie tickets once we’re there. Where do you want to sit? I prefer the middle, but I’m pretty sure Nino got the middle row seats, so that’s a bit risky. Shall we try for the back row?”
A pinch of guilt nagged at Marinette. Another glance at their friends in the distance and she stopped, slowly pulling her hand from Adrien’s grasp, mourning the loss with every inch lost. “Perhaps, we should stop here.”
He halted his steps, looking down. Seemed like she wasn't the only one feeling guilty about this. “You’re right. This wasn't a good idea.”
“They deserve more than two stalkers for friends.”
“They do. I was just too curious. This is the first time Nino’s been so crazy about someone.”
“So you decided to secretly third wheel them?”
He gave her an unimpressed look. “You don’t get to judge me. We’re in the same boat in this. Apples and all.”
Marinette couldn't hold back a snicker.
Adrien interlocked his fingers behind his head, a glimmer of mischief in his eyes. “I was really looking forward to that movie, though.”
“You’ll live.”
“Will I?”
“Absolutely, you big baby. Just go watch it by yourself if you want it so much.”
“But that’s not fun.”
“Better than stalking your friend on his date.”
“Then perhaps I should get my own. A date, I mean. For the movies.”
Marinette fell silent, her chest tightening. A guy like Adrien could have any girl he wished. And while she didn't think herself to be worse than anyone else, what were the chances he’d want her when girls like Kagami Tsurugi openly confessed their love to him?
“I guess you could,” she said, pulling out her cellphone to get an Uber.
“Then will you?”
“Will I what?”
“Go to the movies with me? Lunch and movies. A date. A real one. Nothing fake about it.” He was looking straight at her, a trembling smile on his lips, a soft glint in his eyes.
She blinked once. Twice. Her ears must be deceiving her. “Me?”
He nodded. “You.”
“But… Why?”
“Because I like you.” He stepped closer. “Because ever since you fell into my arms that first day, I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
“Excuse me, but I did not fall into your arms!” Marinette huffed. Amazing or not, she wouldn't allow him to trample her reputation like that. “I just tripped, and you happened to stand in the trajectory of my fall. Or rather, you moved into it because, if my memory isn’t failing me—and my memory never fails me—you almost ran across the room to catch me.”
Adrien laughed. “Guilty as charged, but can you blame me? You’re amazing, Marinette. You’re smart and brave and confident and so very beautiful. A guy like me could only dream of being worthy of your attention.”
“You kidding me, right? A guy like you can have any girl he wants.”
“But there is only one I need,” he purred, leaning closer. “Her name is Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and I’d be the happiest man alive if she’d give me a chance. I’m prepared to beg on my knees if that’s what it’ll take.”
Somehow, her hand was in his. He brought it to his lips and laid a lingering kiss on her knuckles. How could she say no to those eyes and that confident smoulder with a hint of childish worry behind it? The way she felt about him, she wouldn't want to say no even if her life depended on it. Marinette kept her eyes on Adrien's when she shifted her hand in his grasp, entwining their fingers together. "Only if we go to a different movie theatre. I don't want to run into Alya and have to explain things."
“Sounds good to me.”
“And we’re getting soulmate ice cream at Andre’s before that. I want to check if we’re meant to be before I commit to anything.”
Adrien laughed, pulling Marinette into a hug. “I’m pretty sure I won’t even have to bribe the man to get the result I want.”
“You’re way too confident, M Agreste, you know that, right?”
“Only when it really matters.”
“And is this one of those situations?”
His gaze soft and loving, Adrien leaned down, his lips gently brushing against the flustered skin of her cheek. “You’re at the top of my ‘Really Matters’ list, Mlle Dupain-Cheng.”
Another kiss to her nose, he lingered for a moment before whispering, “May I kiss you the way I know you want me to kiss you now? Or shall I wait until the end of our date?”
There was only one answer Marinette could give him. “Right now would be perfect.”

Sparks - Spencer Reid x Reader
Tumblr media
Request: Could you do a spencer Reid x SSA fem!reader where you guys are on a case and he sees the cops flirting with you and gets jealous and reveals his feelings?
A/N: WOW I’m really sorry this was out so much later than I predicted. Life is hard sometimes, y’all! My stressors are gone now so hopefully I’ll be cranking out a whole lot more of these.
Also, I never understood how writers could just start a story they thought would be short and end up with 6K words. Now I know! Whoops.
Please leave feedback if you have any! Lots and lots and LOTS of love, as always.
------------------------------------
Your favorite part of any given case was closing it.
There was no rush or relief quite like the feeling of taking someone dangerous off the streets. No sensation could match handcuffing an unsub and watching officers escort them to police cars, never to wreak havoc again. Those days were undoubtedly the best part of being a profiler at the BAU. Those beautiful days took away the pain and anguish you so often faced as an agent, even if only momentarily.
Today was one of those days.
The resolution of this case provided the small town a chance to take a deep breath of relief. The killer was locked away, there were minimal casualties, and several hostages had been rescued and reunited with their families. All in all, it was a success.
Normally the team would fly back to Virginia right away, but a large, dangerous, looming electrical storm prevented a safe flight. Hotch made the executive decision to stay another night at the motel, and no one complained. After all, this case had been exhausting and draining for all of you.
It wasn’t until Morgan suggested a trip to the bar next door that the night got interesting.
Classic.
So, there you and Emily were, taking a trek across the street in the pouring rain, clutching your shared umbrella as if your lives depended on it.
“You know; I think I might be getting too old for this.” Emily nearly yelled over the roar of the weather. You laughed.
“Never! Who would be my off-duty partner in crime if not you?”
She shook her head and smiled at you. Strands of lightning lit up the sky and reflected in the many puddles at your feet. As beautiful as it was, you were not particularly comfortable holding a large piece of metal in a barren landscape during an electrical storm. As soon as the next inevitable clap of thunder shook the earth, both of you silently agreed to walk even faster to get to the bar and out of the rain.
“All I’m saying is you’d better start looking for my replacement.” Emily fired back, clutching the umbrella even harder as the wind blew the raindrops straight into your faces.
“As if I could ever replace the best wing woman I’ve ever had.” You shouted back to her. At that, Emily laughed out loud.
“Wing woman? Yeah, right.”
You didn’t have time to question her cheeky comment before the two of you finally reached the door to the bar. Emily immediately sighed in relief and you chuckled, stepping inside to relish in the warmth and shelter from the aggressive storm. Both of you stood in the doorway and took off your rain jackets, thankful to be dry and safe again.
“So, you’re telling me that if I found you someone at this bar…” Emily started to tease you, elbowing your ribs in jest. However, her eyes held an underlying mystery that frightened you. It was as if she was looking directly into your heart, reading your every move, discovering your deepest secrets.
Emily was one of your closest friends, but there was one secret in your heart that you could barely admit to yourself, much less another person. That was not something you wanted to dive into at the moment. It had been such a good day. There was no need to tarnish it with rambling thoughts and uncomfortable feelings.
Did that secret involve romantic feelings for a team member? Maybe.
She couldn’t know. There was no possible way she could know.
“I mean… I don’t know.” You bashfully tripped over your words, knowing she was kidding, but not doubting her willingness to embarrass you.
“Really? A gorgeous, smart, single woman like you, not wanting to find any company?” You blushed at the compliments, but shook your head in denial.
“Nice try, but I am perfectly happy being all alone.” You playfully nudged her shoulder. She let out a big laugh, hooking your arm in hers and starting to head toward the rest of the team at the back of the bar.
“Oh, come on. Don’t feed me that. We all know about you and Reid.” She subtly whispered in your ear.
And there it was.
She knew. Of course she knew. You felt your face begin to drain its color.
“We…” you attempted to launch into your heavily used “just friends” speech, but Emily put a finger up to your lips.
“Don’t even try that excuse with me. Just, don’t. Your self-appointed wing woman knows better.” She smirked and gave you a wink before releasing your arm and taking a seat between Morgan and JJ.
Rolling your eyes at her, you sat down in the only remaining seat, conveniently next to none other than Dr. Spencer Reid. You glared at Emily and she wiggled her eyebrows at you, fully aware of what she had done.
Oh boy. This was going to be a long night.
It wasn’t that you didn’t want to be around him. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Plopping down next to Spencer was the most comforting thing you had done all day. Though he was deep in conversation with Morgan, he grabbed one of the drinks in front of him and handed it to you without looking. You smiled, taking the glass as you watched his face contort while arguing with his friend. This was undoubtedly a conversation you did not want to interrupt.
You took a sip from the glass, and your heart skipped a beat. He had ordered you your favorite drink without even asking if you were in the mood.
Then again, he’s a professional profiler and one of your closest friends. Of course he knew you needed it.
That’s the whole problem, though. Why fix something that isn’t broken? Why go out on a limb for something that could destroy an already perfect relationship, both personally and professionally? The costs outweighed the benefits in every single sense. It just wasn’t worth it.
But all the rationality in the world couldn’t stop your heart from longing for the fairy tale.
“Hey!” Spencer’s soft, warm voice cut through all of the noise and broke you right out of your thoughts. He had turned to face you, cheeks slightly tinted red, probably from the heat of the bar and the alcohol. His ever-shining smile lit up his face. You couldn’t help but return it.
As always, you were amazed at how one shared moment with him could make every insecurity and anxious thought feel so small.
“Are you feeling better?” He asked, the furrow in his brow reflecting his genuine concern.
“Oh, yeah! Just a couple of bumps and bruises. Nothing too serious.” You assured him.
Earlier that day you had been shot by the unsub. Thankfully, all of the bullets hit your vest and not your unprotected body. It wasn’t the first time you had been in a shooting match with a perpetrator, but for some reason this one had really rattled you.
He nodded, taking another sip of his drink before proceeding.
“I looked at your vest. If that last bullet had been just 2 centimeters to the left, it could’ve dissected your subclavian artery, and that could’ve been deadly. Arterial rupture can cause life-threatening hemorrhages, pseudoaneurysm formation, and compression of brachial plexus.” His eyes lit up with excitement as he continued to talk about your circulatory luck of the day, blissfully unaware of how intensely it had scared you.
That was one of your very favorite things about him. He took any moment, any situation, any scare, and turned it into a statistic. He put all your irrational fears into rational numbers and ideologies. No matter what happened to you, or anyone on your team, he was right there to make sure you all knew you weren’t alone, even if that meant spouting off facts about arterial dissection in a bar at midnight.
This man was something else.
“Hey, pretty boy!” This time the voice breaking you out of your thoughts was Morgan’s. Spencer’s many statistics halted abruptly as he turned to face the summoning voice.
“What ever happened to that lovely lady you were going to ask out for coffee last week?”
His body immediately tensed next to you. Your stupid, irrational, unforgiving heart dropped into your stomach.
“Um, I mean… I didn’t end up asking her.” His answer was surprisingly short. You had never seen Spencer so flustered and lost for words. You looked up at Emily and saw the delicate look of annoyance in her eyes.
“It’s really hard to date in this line of work…” Emily attempted to defend his decision, JJ nodding and offering noises of agreeance while taking sips of her drink, but Morgan cut them off to press him further.
“Oh come on Reid, you haven’t shut up about her for months!”
“Yes, thank you Emily.” Spencer replied, letting some of the tension go. “I’m not sure I want to take any of my focus away from this job right now.”
“Oh whatever…” Morgan started, but before he could go any further you saw Emily subtly kick him under the table.
She looked up at you, eyes faintly conveying her apologies and intent to knock some sense into the oblivious man. He gave her a confused look, but immediately dropped the subject after meeting her fiery gaze.
“Anyway… are you seeing anyone?” This time Morgan’s question was directed at you.
Nope. Not happening. Where was the alcohol?
“On that note, I’m going to go get a drink. Anyone want anything?” You asked, grabbing your glass and standing up quickly.
Before they could answer, you were on your way to the bar. The first drink was strong, but not strong enough to numb the stupid, unreasonable pain and excruciating awkwardness of what had just happened.
“I’ll have another of these, please.” You asked the bartender, sitting at one of the chairs to help calm your shaking knees.
Breathe.
There was literally no reason for you to be upset. He was allowed to see people. Both of you were single, for crying out loud! There was nothing you were willing to do to make the fairy tale in your head a reality, so why was this weighing on you so heavily?
Breathe. For the love of everything, breathe.
He deserved every happiness in the world, and more. There was no reason for you to be so self-centered and deny him that. Who’s to say he even thought of you as anything more than a colleague anyway?
“Agent?” You slightly jumped and turned to face the familiar voice, recognizing the man sitting next to you instantly.
“Sergeant Jones. Hi.” You presented the best smile you could muster in the moment at the sight of one of the local deputies.
“Please, call me Michael. It’s so nice to see you outside of the unfortunate situations our jobs bring.” His smile was warm, and the hand he reached out to shake was soft.
“It’s nice to see you too, Michael.” You smiled, angling yourself to face him more directly.
Breathe. Distractions are good, especially when they are this handsome. Breathe.
His short blonde hair was combed perfectly, and his blue flannel shirt subtly brought out his eyes. No wedding ring. You could feel your heart ever so slowly begin to rise at the prospect of feeling valued, wanted, especially by a handsome stranger.
Did it take your mind off Spencer? No.
Could anything at this point? Who knows.
“Are you okay?” He asked, the true concern evident in his pretty blue eyes.
No, Michael. You seem wonderful but this is the worst timing.
“Yeah! Yeah, it’s just been a long day.” You lied straight through your teeth like a pro. However, you were captivated by his seemingly genuine integrity.
“You can say that again.” He chuckled. “This town hasn’t seen action like this in the last century, at least.”
Spencer could probably pinpoint the exact date of the last time this tiny town had a historic day like this…
NOPE. Breathe.
“How often does your team handle cases like these?” Michael’s deep voice snapped you out of your racing thoughts.
Okay, this was good. You were good at talking about work. It was basically your whole life.
“Well, we mostly handle serial killer cases. Sometimes abductions, things of that nature.”
Michael was a good listener, and the way his body angled toward yours indicated he actually enjoyed listening to you talk about your gruesome job.
“Cases involving children are the hardest for me, but it’s different for everyone.” You added.
“Yeah, I understand. I know our jobs are of different caliber, but I struggle with those too.”
You were enamored with Michael’s honesty and emotional depth in your short conversation. Compassionate, good at listening, and handsome? The other shoe was sure to drop soon…
The bartender set your drink down in front of you, but before you could pay her Michael handed her some cash.
“Oh no…” You started to argue.
“Please, I insist. It’s been a hard day for all of us.” Michael softly smiled at you. You smiled back, immediately taking a big gulp of the strong drink. Bring on the numbness.
“So, do you have any kids?” His surprising question caused you to choke and begin coughing profusely. He immediately looked alarmed, placing a hand on your arm to steady you.
“I’m so sorry, I just meant because those cases affect you so much… I didn’t mean…”
“No! No, it's okay!” You choked out between coughs. Could this night get any more awkward? You took a deep breath and drink of water before continuing, noticing his strong, soft hand was still on your arm.
“No, I don’t have any kids yet. It’s hard to find time to date in this line of work.”
“Cheers to that.” He smiled, lifting his drink to tap yours.
Feeling the alcohol start to kick in, you closed your eyes and smiled. Finally.
“Hey, I never got a chance to thank you for what you did today.” You opened your eyes to meet his, slightly confused as to what he meant, but he continued. “You jumped in front of one of my men and took those bullets.”
Ah, transference. He’s only interested because he thinks you’re a hero.
“Oh, that’s just part of the job.” You brushed it off.
“No. That was true bravery and sacrifice.” Michael turned completely toward you. “I don’t know many people who would’ve done that. Truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.”
...or maybe he’s just incredibly kind?
“Of course.” You laid your free hand on top of his. Thankful for the recognition, but far more thankful that no one had been harmed that day.
“Man if you didn’t have to leave, I would absolutely be asking you on a date right now.” Michael’s undying honesty once again caught you by surprise.
“You’re just saying that because I took a successful risk today.”
“No, I’m saying it because in the last five minutes I’ve realized that you’re smart, along with brave and clearly beautiful.”
All you could do was smile and squeeze Michael’s hand, for though the flattery was lovely, both of you knew full well that was all it could be.
Out of nowhere, you felt the air tense. Michael looked past you in confusion, and all at once you knew who was there. You could feel Spencer’s presence before he spoke a single word. Somehow you could tell he had been there for a short while, and could feel the inevitable speech coming.
“Actually that’s called transference, which happens when material from our unconscious mind is propelled into our conscious mind as we try to deal with the usually painful psychological trauma that we are experiencing. The brain unconsciously re-surfaces and re-enacts conflict-ridden experiences as if the past were the present and one setting were another. We transfer thoughts, feelings, and attitudes, especially about people who resemble others. We assign them roles once played by others. We take on old roles ourselves. All unconsciously.”
Both you and Michael were stunned into silence, staring at Spencer as if he were from another planet.
What the hell was he doing?
You sighed, giving up any hope for a single shred of happiness to come from this night.
“Michael, you remember Dr. Reid.”
“Of course, good to see you again.” Michael nodded toward Spencer, which he awkwardly returned.
“Sorry to interrupt. I came over to see if you were alright after that coughing spell and couldn’t help but overhear…”
“It’s fine, Spencer.” You coolly cut him off, begging him with your eyes to go back to the table and let you make a connection, for once.
He saw the look, understood, and promptly ignored it.
“We should probably get back to the motel. The others left when I got up to check on you.”
“I’m a big girl, Spencer. I’ll be okay.” You scoffed, rolling your eyes at him.
“I can walk her back.” Michael looked up at Spencer, attempting to analyze him, to no avail.
“That won’t be necessary.” Spencer looked him dead in the eye, challenging him. A sudden look of realization dawned on Michael’s face. He immediately stood up, grabbing his jacket.
“Wow, I’m really sorry for the misunderstanding. I assumed you were single.”
God fucking dammit, Spencer.
“Oh I am! I am. It’s not like that. Spencer is just a good friend.”
Spencer stood there, unmoving, arms crossed, stoic as he could be. Michael gave up the silent fight, putting on his jacket and turning to leave.
“Listen, it was really nice to see you again, agent. Thank you again, truly, for all you did for my team today. Best wishes.” He shook your hand, far more awkward this time, and nodded to Spencer before bolting toward the door.
The prior sadness couldn’t hold a flame to the anger bubbling inside you at that moment. You whipped around to face the ever stoic Spencer, who didn’t seem to care about the fact that you were pissed as all hell about what he had just done. Before he could say another word, you took your coat from his outstretched arm and stormed toward the door, not caring if he followed or not.
Thankfully, the rain had stopped, but the beautiful lightning illuminated the sky as you furiously stomped back across the street to the motel. Normally you would attempt to walk softly in your heeled boots so as to not draw attention, but you couldn’t care less in this moment. You wanted Spencer to know just how royally pissed off you were, and you could tell he was right behind you.
Who did he think he was? Swooping in at the last second to sever the one human connection you’d made all night? Breaking the newfound bond you started with someone to distract from what he had caused?
The anger coursing through your veins seemed to dissolve the alcohol all on its own. You were no longer drunk, you were furious.
Breathe. Assault of a federal agent will put your ass in jail. Breathe.
It wasn’t until the two of you were alone in the elevator that you’d finally calmed down enough to form a sentence.
“What the fuck, Spencer?”
He didn’t answer. You took a deep breath, trying to expel the burning desire to scream. It didn’t work.
Of course, the one time you truly needed his explanation, he refused to offer it.
When the elevator reached your floor, he silently followed you to your room. You fished in your pocket for the key, but before you could swipe it Spencer grabbed your wrist, turning you toward him.
“I’m sorry.” He flatly stated.
Sure. Nice try.
“For what?” You challenged, not breaking his eye contact.
“For not getting you out of that situation sooner.”
You laughed right in his face. Pitiful, loud, uncontrollable laughter.
“Are you kidding me? Seriously? Oh my God.” You laughed so hard you thought you were going to throw up, clutching your stomach and leaning forward. His arms attempted to steady you but you eagerly batted them away.
“What is so funny about that?” You could tell he was getting frustrated.
Were you really about to start this?
You were really about to start this.
“Guess what? Men are allowed to flirt with me, Spencer. Believe it or not some people actually find me desirable.” He was surprised, but not as much as you thought he might be.
He didn’t deny that this was what had struck the nerve and prompted him to get you out of the bar.
“Those cops are bad news.” He broke eye contact, further proving your point.
“Michael was kind to me.”
“He was putting up a front.”
“Why is it so difficult for you to believe someone could actually be attracted to me?”
“He doesn’t even know you!”
“And if he did he wouldn’t want me?”
Spencer opened his mouth to fight back, but immediately closed it, eyes darting between the patterns on the carpet. Your heart cracked.
“I didn’t realize you thought so little of me, Spencer.”
“That’s not what I…” He cut himself off with a deep sigh, putting his hands behind his head and looking up to the ceiling.
“Then what the hell is it, because I don’t have time for this.” You spat, trying to use your keycard once more. Spencer grabbed your wrist again, holding tightly even as you tried to squirm away.
“What is your problem?” You nearly yelled in his face. “I don’t understand why it is SUCH a stretch in your mind that a man could want to spend time with me. Why can’t you fucking accept that?”
This time, as you tried to push him off of you, he grabbed your other arm and pinned both behind your back, pulling you close to him so you couldn’t escape.
“Because no matter who it is, I can guarantee they don’t want you as badly as I do.”
Your entire, sober brain shut down. All at once, the world was spinning, and not from alcohol.
You pushed him away, and this time he let you go, standing at a respectful distance, allowing you to soak in his confession. The wheels in your head weren’t turning fast enough for this.
“But… that girl Morgan was talking about…”
“Yeah. That’s you.”
Wait… what?
You let your hands fall to your knees as you leaned forward. It was too late in the night for this, too wrong a moment for such a bold confession.
So… he wanted to ask you out… but didn’t? When did that happen? When have you ever given him an indication you weren’t interested? But had you ever given him an indication you were interested?
The madness in your swirling thoughts was interrupted by Spencer taking a step toward you. Oh no. Oh dear God no.
Your brain screamed at you to move, take a step, run away, anything. But your heart held its own. In your deepest desires, you had been waiting for this moment since the day you met him.
Now it was your turn to observe the patterns on the carpet. Each and every flower seemed far more interesting now that you were confused out of your mind and your heart was beating at twice its normal rate.
All of the sudden, the toes of his converse lined up with your own, and you felt his hand lift your chin to look him in the eyes. In the low light of the hallway, they almost looked golden.
He moved painfully slowly, as if you would bolt at any moment. Which, to be fair, if your rational brain had anything to say about this moment, you’d be halfway down the street by now.
But, it didn’t. His hands slowly made their way to your waist, delicately touching to make sure you were okay before settling firmly. Your own hands worked their way up his arms and around his neck, feeling every tense, trembling move he made the whole way.
It was as if the entire world was paused, as if everything was in slow motion except for you and him. For the first time since you joined the bureau, you allowed your guard to drop for a moment.
And in that brief moment, his lips met yours.
Alarm bells sounded in your mind as soon as it happened, and you pulled your head away, ending the kiss almost as quickly as it began. You frantically looked into his eyes, still clutching onto him, allowing yourself to let it sink in.
Spencer Reid had just kissed you. Okay, sure.
The part that really scared you was how much you enjoyed it.
Breathe, dear God, fucking breathe.
He held your gaze with a surprising intensity, letting his eyes tell you all the truths he was afraid to say out loud.
You were afraid too. Terrified.
Yet, somehow, standing in that musty motel hallway holding onto your best friend for dear life after just locking lips for the first time felt like the most natural, perfect thing in the world.
Were you really about to continue this?
You bet your ass you were about to continue this.
You grabbed his face and pulled his head back down to yours to kiss him again. Your lips met just as softly, but this time settled into an intimate rhythm. One of your hands made its way into his hair, lightly pulling, causing him to let out a deep moan.
Oh, no. No, no, no. You really liked that.
His hands splayed out over your back, attempting to bring you even closer as your bodies moved together.
So this was what you had been running from all this time, the scariest possible scenario you’d tried so hard to bury.
That fear seemed minuscule compared to the overwhelming feeling of goodness that came from being this close to him, feeling his soft hair in your hands and his beating heart against your chest.
The edge of the abyss grew closer with every soft movement and crash of your lips. The point of no return loomed, begging you to hold him closer, bring him into your room, and cross all of the lines your paranoid mind had set long ago. After all, rules were made to be broken and lines were meant to be crossed, right? By the way he hungrily pressed your body against the door to your room, you knew he was thinking the exact same thing.
But, in true agent fashion, your rational brain caught up to you before you could make the dream a reality.
You pulled away harshly, and he immediately removed his hands and stepped back. Your heart was beating so fast you thought it might burst right out of your chest.
He looked so beautiful like this, hair all disheveled, lips big, full, and thoroughly kissed. His eyes held the horror you had grown to know so well, the fear of ruining one of the very best things in your lives. You were positive your own eyes reflected the very same idea.
“Spencer…”
“I know.” He cut you off, closing his eyes.
“We can’t ruin this. We can’t go down that road.”
“I know.”
The charged silence that followed was most unwelcome.
“Why would you say that. Why would you act on that?” Your accusation against his confession was less of an attack and more of a whimper, trying so hard to bury the longing feelings again.
He shrugged, analyzing the carpet once more. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath.
“Spencer.” You let his name roll off your tongue softly, gently, longing to somehow take it all back, to push what you had done into some secret place, never to be seen or spoken of again.
He looked up at you, the same emotions swirling through his eyes. He understood.
“I didn’t want to live any longer not knowing, I guess.” He softly admitted.
You opened your mouth to respond, but no words came. There was no way to take it back, no way to fix this, no rational comfort you could offer.
There was nothing more either of you could say.
So, with that, he turned on his heel and walked back to his own room, never looking back.
You stood there in the hallway for a long while, completely stunned. It wasn’t until the subtle bell of the elevator broke your trance that you finally swiped your keycard and retreated to the solace of your room.
Somehow, in the midst of the war going on in your head, you managed to pack all of your things. You wouldn’t remember going through with your night routine or climbing into the soft motel bed, but somehow your unconscious mind led you there.
The tears of frustration didn’t start until about 20 minutes into blankly staring at the ceiling. They rolled down your cheeks and pooled in your hair, but you barely noticed. Every so often, you lifted your hand to your lips, unbelievingly, wishing for some reminder of what it felt like to be connected with him.
How had your pride been so dominating that it thrust you into the very situation you worked tirelessly to avoid? What prompted him to act so impulsively? Why did you just stand there and let him leave?
Most importantly, how in the world were you going to resolve this?
To say it was going to be a sleepless night would be the understatement of the century.
-------------
As you got on the plane the next morning, Emily was the first one to meet your exhausted gaze. She got up from her seat and walked over to you, enveloping you in her arms.
“I heard the yelling from my room. I’m sorry.” She whispered. You sighed, hugging her back as hard as you could.
So, they all knew. Of fucking course they all knew. Even Hotch and Rossi shot you a look of understanding sympathy as you moved to take the seat next to Emily. JJ patted your knee knowingly, and you gave her hand a squeeze before laying your head on Emily’s shoulder. Maybe now, surrounded by your girls, you would finally be able to get some sleep.
Thankfully, your hope became a reality. The next time you opened your eyes, everyone around you had drifted off as well. You gingerly lifted your head, making sure not to disturb Emily’s fragile sleep.
The plane was peacefully silent, and as you scanned the cabin, your heart ached with gratitude for your team, your family. Getting shot was less than ideal, but the love and appreciation it prompted was most welcome.
You felt Spencer’s eyes on you before you even noticed he was awake.
Turning your head toward the couch he was sprawled out on, your eyes locked with his. He made no move to look away, and neither did you.
Fixing this was a necessity, and you both knew it. There was no space for awkwardness or personal feelings getting in the way of this line of work.
As always, even despite the awkwardness and confusion of the past 24 hours, plopping down next to Spencer was still the most comforting feeling. Looking into his equally-tired eyes provided some comfort. At least you knew you weren’t the only one that lost sleep over the incident.
His eyes were always a home to you, no matter what state your friendship was in. This was uncharted territory for both of you. Simply sitting next to each other, enjoying the presence and absorbing the moment, seemed to kickstart the healing that was sure to follow.
Before you knew it, your arms were reaching out for him, and his enveloped you. Your head immediately fell to his shoulder, letting out a deep breath you didn’t remember taking.
“I’m sorry.” You offered, chuckling at the whole situation. He joined in your slight laughter, squeezing you a little bit tighter as you felt the glorious sound reverberating in his chest.
“I’m sorry too.” He whispered.
You pulled away to look at him, offering a small smile that he quickly returned. It already felt as if 1,000 pounds had been lifted from the air around you.
“It’s just, I would never forgive myself if I ruined this friendship, you know?” You admitted, ashamedly.
“I do. I promise, I do.” He insisted. You knew it was the truth.
The plane jolted from sudden turbulence, and you quickly scanned the cabin to make sure no one had woken up. When you were certain the whole team was still in a deep sleep, you turned back to Spencer, finally voicing the question that had been hovering for hours.
“Why didn’t you tell me before?”
“Probably for the same reason you didn’t tell me.” He replied, smirking at you.
Fair enough. You relaxed at the reemergence of his straightforward attitude, refreshed to know that his brutal honesty was unceasing.
The silence that followed held far more meaning than more words could.
There was no easy fix here, even though both of your feelings were now out in the open. Romantic attachment was a recipe for disaster for anyone at the BAU, much less two of its own agents. You both knew that all too well.
So… what now? Logically, you were at a dead end.
Then, in true Spencer Reid fashion, he genuinely surprised you.
“Would you like to get coffee with me sometime?” He unceremoniously blurted. You looked up at him in surprise. Suddenly, it felt as if every logical answer to that question had left your brain.
“I…”
“Don’t think too hard, just reply.” He quickly added, desperate for an answer, longing for a means to an end of whatever this night had started.
“Spencer Reid… are you asking me on a date?”
“Yes, I am.” His golden brown eyes met yours. No hesitation, no jokes.
It’s amazing how the moments you spend so long running from can sneak up on you in a single instant. You knew that every fear you had about taking this path with him was rational. Attachment was a death sentence for one or both of you, in its own way.
Was your heart really worth that risk? Running away from your feelings for so long was exhausting. How much longer would you really want to push it all away?
Well… you were both inevitably going to die anyway. Might as well do it with some love in your heart.
“I’m not asking for forever, I swear. Just for a couple hours of your time. I just think…” He started, but you held up a hand, hoping he would ease up for long enough to let you answer.
Were you really about to take this leap?
“I would love to.”
Damn right you were.
His surprised smile was blinding, and you couldn’t help but match it.
This time, you barely noticed the turbulence when the cabin fell silent. Both of you sunk back into your seats, relief flooding the air. The million thoughts constantly circling in your head all stopped for a single moment, allowing you to finally, blissfully, breathe.
“You know, for two profilers, we really should have caught this sooner.” Your tired eyes began to fall closed again, finally feeling the full weight of the night lift from your shoulders.
“Yes, but as two emotional repressors, I think we did a pretty great job.” Spencer’s sweet, beautiful voice brought you back, and you couldn’t help but let out a joyful laugh at his sassy retort.
Touché, Reid.
You silently scooted closer to him on the couch, laying your head on his shoulder and letting sleep overtake you once more.
“I’m not asking for forever.”
His words, meant for comfort and persuasion in the moment, replayed in your mind as his arms encircled you.
“I’m not asking for forever.”
No, love. Not just yet.

“I’m Sorry, Do I Know You?” “No But I Wish You Did...”
Chibs Telford x Reader
Summary: You move to Charming and really like the town, until you meet a handsome Scotsman, then you could really get used to living there.
Word Count: 1,291
I just moved to Charming not too long ago, and I’m really liking it. The people are nice, the town is very quaint, and…the mechanic shop. Now listen, I’m not one to fall for someone based purely on a single meeting, but if you could’ve seen this guy! He’s a little older…doesn’t bother me. He’s got this sexy light streak in his hair, and the most adorable and not to mention sexy accent. I went into the shop to get my car checked and there he was. I was watching him under the hood of my car, his arms flexing and the sweat dripping down his chest and—
“I’m sorry, do I know you, love?” He asked, a little confused and slightly amused.
“No but I wish you did…” Wait, WHAT?
He let out a short laugh, and what a laugh it was. Although, I was too embarrassed to register it much.
“I’m sure ye would darlin’,”
Oh I hope I didn’t just royally embarrass myself and blow my shot. Not that I really have one. He’s older and I’m just— probably not what he’s looking for.
“You’re all good ’t go love. Shouldn’t give ya much trouble anymore”
“Thanks, uh…” I blush so hard I had to quickly jump back in my car before he noticed.
“Chibs”
“Chibs! Right- thank you” I say with a smile, but I’m not even sure he was paying much attention. God, does he even like me at all? I hate this. I’m gonna spend the rest of my existence in this town pining over this guy. I drove off before I could have a chance to get back out and beg for a date.
A few weeks since the appointment, I haven’t seen him around town much. The “Sons of Anarchy” are quite the busy group. Always leaving town on their bikes to do, whatever it is they do.
I decided to take my mind off of the biker and spend my weekend relaxing. I went to the store to get my much needed snacks when somehow I bump into…
“Hello love”
I hear that magical voice yet again, and I drop everything in my hands.
“Hey!” I scramble to pick everything up, including my dignity.
“There’s tha look again” he chuckles to himself.
I pick up the last item as he’d already picked up the rest, and was caught so off guard.
“Sorry what?”
He laughs again, “When you came int’ the shop a while ago, kept givin’ me tha look”
I stared in complete shock and tried not to blush, I think I know what he’s getting at which makes it worse.
“That’s the one!” He laughs again, pointing to me, with the daydreaming look in my eye.
“I- uh,” I let out the most shy and embarrassed laugh. He’s catching on, shit. “I don’t mean to be weird, I always have that look.”
“Oh so I’m no’ special?” He smiles that beautiful smile and I try to stay standing on my weak legs. What is wrong with me? Could I really be into this guy this much?
“Oh no I didn’t mean-“ I have no idea how I’m going to save myself here. He clearly knows I like him and I can feel the next part of the conversation already. ‘You’re sweet but, not my type’ ‘Sorry love, not interested’.
“So what d’you think?”
“Think about what?”
“Dinner tonight?”
Hold on, what?
“I’m sorry, dinner?”
He flashes yet another signature smile. God I could look at it all day.
“Are you feelin’ alrigh love?”
“Yes- I just… I’d love to!”
He starts walking next to me as I approach the front to pay for my snacks. Guess I won’t be needing them—
“Your place or mine?” He smiles yet again.
“Oh-uh, mine I guess, if you don’t mind!”
“Of course not darlin’. I’ll be there around seven?”
“Sounds good!” I finish paying and walk through the doors towards my car. I watch him climb onto his bike with one swift movement. Jeez, what just happened? One minute I’m buying snacks to eat my feelings away and the next, I’ve got a date with the guy I’ve been drooling over for just a few weeks. And then it hits me, I need to get ready.
I race home to put on the nicest outfit I can find, and do my hair. Not too fancy but enough to say ‘please kiss me’. As I run around my house, tidying as quick as I can, I finally hear the sound of a bike pulling up. My heart skipped as soon as I heard the rumbling stop. He only gets a knock or two in before I swing the door open.
“Hey darlin’” his eyes trace over me with a look that I could only dream of.
“Hey, come on in” my voice is so shaky, I didn’t realize I’d be this nervous. “I thought we could order in, if you’re into that”
He gives me a warm smile, “that sounds great, love” and he sits on the couch, taking off his kutte.
After I make the call for delivery, I go to sit next to him. I notice he looks a bit strange, like there’s something on his mind. Before I can even ask, he speaks up first.
“Look, I wasn’t gonna say anythin’, but before anything else happens, I’ve gotta tell ‘tha truth”
I start getting nervous. Is he going to leave? Tell me he decided he’s not interested anymore? My god did he think this was just a hook up? Could I be that unfortunate?
“Darlin’?” He snaps his fingers in front of my face, as I apparently blanked into pure thought.
“Yes! Sorry- went into deep thought there. Go on”
“He looks at his hands before moving his eyes to meet mine.
“When you first walked into the shop, and I worked on yer car— I admit I was taken away. You looked so beautiful and so lively. Like you had the sun in your eyes,” he cracks a smile, like he’s remembering the exact moment, “I really like you, and I hope this date can continue after my stupid rant, unless I’ve scared you completely”
He locks his eyes on me, waiting for a response. I’m so taken aback. I can’t believe after all my second guessing that, not only does he like me, but he’s the sweetest guy in the world. My mouth slowly shapes a big smile.
“Chibs I can’t believe you felt that way, I thought I was chasing after an impossible thing- that you wouldn’t like someone like me”
“Like wha’? Beautiful? Charming?”
I laugh and blush extremely hard. As I look to the ground, he reaches his hand softly under my chin, and raises my head back up to look at me.
“I didn’t mean ’t be so forward darlin’ but I’ve been thinkin’ abou ‘ya ever since tha’ day”
As he lowers his hand away from my face, I keep eye contact with those deep and loving eyes.
“…Me too” I smile. I lean towards him very slowly, and he follows my movements, until our lips finally touch. The kiss was so soft and innocent, but perfect. He leans in to deepen the kiss and I get completely lost in it. I didn’t even realize how much time had passed until I heard the door knock. We broke apart and laughed.
“‘Guess we should start th’ date then?”
I giggle softly as I get up to open the door. I turn back to glance at him.
“That would be smart, although I’m starting to think this will happen a lot”
He flashes that gorgeous smile back to me, “Me too darlin’”

Teaching Assistant 13
When you wake up it is the next morning. You have been transferred to a recovery room. It is quite spacious and light. Your bag and other belongings laid on a table next to your bed. An IV was in your right arm connected to a bag of fluid.
You look down and notice your left shoulder is all bandaged up. You can see some angry bruises peek out from under it. The room was awfully quiet and you felt anxious. You wanted to know what was going on. You press the call button and wait for a nurse to come and take a look at you.
A young girl walks in with a large smile on her face when she sees you. She has short black hair and a radiant smile. She seems South Asian. She takes a look at the machines on your bedside as she starts to ask questions.
“Hello. I’m Maya. How are you feeling?” You try to shrug but because of your bandaged up shoulder you can’t.
“Okay, I think. I feel really tired…” The nurse nods and writes it down on the notepad she carries with her.
“That is completely normal. You are on some really strong pain meds. The doctor will come and take a look at you in a little bit. Is there anything I can do?” You look around the room and then lock in on your bag.
“My phone. Can you plug it in so I can charge it? There should be a charger on my bag.” Maya nods and checks your bag. She pulls out the cord and your phone. She plugs it in and lays the phone on your lap. You quickly thank her.
“Anything else?”
You think for a second before you remember. You’re surprised you can. You usually try to forget this. “I have an appointment with Doctor Eric Wilson here at 4… Can you let him know I had an accident?” She assures you that she will and then leaves again.
When she leaves you quickly turn on your phone. A few spam emails pop up on the screen and a few texts. One from Dimitri and a few from Loki. You first open the one from Dimitri but as you do he calls you. You pick up and put the phone on speaker.
“Hey, you missed the first lesson. Are you alright,” he asks in a worried tone. There is some buzzing behind him. He is clearly in between classes.
“I had an accident, last night. I’m in the hospital,” you croak out. Your throat is as dry as sandpaper.
“Seriously? I’ll come right away,” he tells you and you hear him starting to walk faster to call in sick.
“Thank you,” you reply. Dimitri tells you to sit tight and that he will be there shortly. You hang up and then check Loki’s texts.
Daddyi.
Did you get home safe?
Darling?
Answer me!
Where are you?
Why aren’t you in my class?
You are in so much trouble.
Please answer me. I’m worried. Did I do something wrong? Did something happen?
Answer me or I’m coming to your flat!
The last message was only sent a few minutes ago. Quickly you call Loki up as well but he doesn’t pick up. He would probably be teaching a class right now. You leave him a voice note explaining your situation and tell him not to worry.
After that your doctor did come in and check up on you for a moment. She explained what they did in the surgery and what was going to happen afterwards. You came out reasonably unscratched for a motorcycle accident. You had a broken collarbone, a bruised rib and a small head wound. They did want to do a brain scan to make sure there was no other damage done.
You would have to receive a lot of physical therapy for it to heal properly. You would also have to wear a sling the next few weeks. The doctor asked you once again if she could call someone for you. You told her Dimitri was on his way.
A few minutes later he indeed arrived. He looked rather pale when he walked in. It must have been a bit of a worrying sight. You were in a very oversized hospital gown and all alone in the rather empty and sterile room. He sat down on the bed with you and grabbed your hand.
“How are you, babe?” He looks at you with large puppy eyes.
“I’m alright. The painkillers do their job.” You give him a short smile and then take a deep breath. You tell him you still need a brain scan and that you need to wear a sling the next few weeks. Dimitri offers to get you some stuff from home, like your laptop, clothes and other things.
When he leaves you go for the brain scan, which is frightening. The room was dark and the machine was scary. You had to lay still as the machine was scanning you. You were very happy when you got out of it.
Once back in your room Loki still hasn't replied or even seen your messages. Dimitri returned with some of your stuff. You watch a bit of a movie until he is sent out as well. You take a short nap since the anesthetic made you drowsy.
Around four someone knocks on your door. When you look who it is you are surprised it is Eric. He is the psychiatrist treating you for your eating disorder and anxiety. He was absolutely wonderful. You are so lucky to have found him! He takes a chair and sits down next to your bed.
“Hey there,” he smiles as he takes off his official doctor's coat. “You didn’t think I would skip out on you only because of a little motorcycle accident.” He gives you a funny smirk that manages to make you laugh.
“Of course not. I think I’d have to actually pass away to skip an appointment.” Eric chuckles a bit and then opens his file.
“So, how are you in regards to the accident,” he asks in a serious tone. You think for a moment and want to sit up but your shoulder prevents you from doing so. You slumb back into the pillows before replying.
“This is gonna sound strange, but I’m alright. I don’t know if it’s just the shock but I sort of needed this…” As the words leave your mouth you feel crazy. The brain scan came back clear but maybe they missed something.
“You needed a near death experience,” the psychiatrist asks you as he changes his sitting position. There is a thin frown upon his forehead.
“Yes… in a way. I tried to stay here, to stay awake. I was actively finding ways to stay here and to help the doctors. A few months ago I would have let myself drift off but I didn’t. I wanted to live,” you explain.
It was true. A few months back when you were deep in your eating disorder and filled with anxiety you had at some point nearly died. You didn’t care whether you lived or died. You just wanted your suffering to be over. Now, after some of the hardest months of your life it changed. You wanted to live. You wanted to make the most of it. You wanted to study, to graduate and make something of yourself. It was a big difference and the accident reminded you of that.
“You should be proud of yourself,” Eric agreed, “that is a big change. Although, you should not need a near death experience every time to remind you of that.” The last bit he says as a joke but it’s tinted with seriousness.
When the session is slowly coming to an end your phone rings. The screen was still upwards and the words ‘DADDY’ appeared largely on the screen. Doctor Eric looks at the phone as you quickly click it away. You look up at his confused face and wait for him to say something.
“I thought you didn’t talk to your father anymore,” he asks with suspicion written all over his face. He knows very well you haven’t talked to him since you were ten.
“I’m not,” you reply and avert your eyes from him. Loki could not have called on a worse moment. You do not want to talk about your love/sex life with your psychiatrist. The fact that this is illegal doesn’t help.
“So you’re seeing someone. Why didn’t you tell me,” he asks in a serious tone before switching to dramatics. “I thought we told each other everything.” He makes some fake crying noises and slowly slides from his chair. You can’t help but chuckle at the ethics.
“It’s still pretty new. I just don’t feel like talking about it. I didn’t think it was important,” you say, hoping Eric will stop questioning. He struggles back onto his chair and gives you a serious look. As he does you have to hang up another call from Loki.
“I know you don’t want to talk about it with an old dude like me, but I do feel like we should talk about it. You have never had a good example of relationships and you are in treatment for an eating disorder, depression and anxiety. This could turn toxic if you’re not careful.” You just stare at your therapist for a second.
“Well thank you for listing all that,” you mutter as you slide down in your bed a little more. Eric gives you an unimpressed look. “But I guess you make a point. Next session,” you suggest as you look at the clock. Your hour is over. Eric luckily agrees and then leaves the room.
When he leaves you quickly call Loki back. He answers rather fast and distressed this time. A plethora of questions immediately roll off his tongue. You quickly stop him halfway.
“Loki, I’m alright. Sorry I didn’t pick up. I was with a doctor.” You can hear him sigh in relief.
“I was so worried when I didn’t hear from you and you didn’t show up today. I knew I should have driven you home last night!” You stop him again before he starts to ramble again.
“It’s not your fault. There was a broken traffic light.”
“How are you feeling? Can I come over?”
“I’m alright. On a lot of painkillers. I don’t think you should. It would be suspicious. The doctors told me I will be discharged soon. I’ll see you then.” Loki doesn’t like the idea of you being in the hospital all alone but eventually agrees. You talk a little longer until Loki has to go home from the university.
The next two days pass by slowly. Dimitri comes by in the afternoon but the rest is rather boring. When you are finally discharged you are over the moon. Dimitri came and picked you up. He brought you home, did some meal prepping since your left arm was completely useless.
He stays over the night and helps you in the morning to figure things out. Getting dressed was absolute hell. Luckily the hospital had given you some painkillers for your arm and bruised ribs. Dimitri is also nice enough to carry your bag into college.
It was difficult to get through Loki’s class. You were craving one of his hugs and to just talk to him for a moment. You wanted to dig your nose in his neck and take in his scent. When class is finally over Loki tells you to stay behind.
You walk up to him when students leave the classroom. He starts to talk to you about work you missed and whether you would have to catch it up. Once everyone is gone Loki rushes to the door, closes it and turns the lock. He pulls down the curtain that allows you to look into the room.
When the coast is finally clear Loki immediately pulls you in for a kiss. He holds both his hands on your cheeks as he does so. You lay your good hand on his shoulder and pull him nice and close to you. When he let's go you press your body against his. You press your head in the crook up of his neck. Loki puts his arms around you in return as gently as he can. One arm he moves to your head and gently cradles it.
“I’m so happy you’re okay,” he mumbles before kissing your hair. You don’t reply but just place a gentle kiss on his soft skin.

Hard Floors & Soft Eyes
Pairing: Sam Wilson x Bucky Barnes
Word Count: 1151
Warnings: A curse word or two, a sprinkle of angst, a load of fluff, mild FATWS spoilers, but nothing that wasn’t in the trailers (I think…but just to be safe, don’t read if you haven’t seen the episode/don’t mind spoilers.)
A/N: I know I’ve already written stuff today, but I’m off work today and with the episode out my mind won’t shut down. Also, I can’t get the idea of all three of my fellas having a hard time sleeping on the bed, so they just dogpile together on the floor, so here you go! A little snippet of what I imagine (just without Steve and a bit more angsty). This is for @the-marvel-horniest-book-club and their SamBucky week, Day 6 - Hurt/Comfort. Enjoy!
(Don’t forget to check out my Masterlist! 😘)

The first time Sam saw it was when he dropped by his place just to check up on him. It’d been a little over a month at that point, and Sam was a bit worried about him. He wasn’t answering any calls or texts and he’d missed his first therapist appointment. Sure, the man annoyed him, but he was Steve’s best pal, the last piece of the Captain besides the shield left behind. And Sam felt an obligation to the blonde to take care of him.
It was late, so Sam wasn’t sure if he’d be awake or not. When he got no response after knocking, he figured he wasn’t. Debating on whether to come back later, Sam decided to just head in to check up on him.
The first thing he noticed was the kitchen lights were on. So was the TV. He didn’t spot anything else out of the ordinary, until his dark gaze landed on a pair of legs tangled in sheets poking out from the other side of the small couch.
There was a sudden gasp, and Bucky’s head appeared over the arm of the sofa, a hand coming up to clutch his hair. Sam was at his side instantly, a comforting hand on his bare shoulder, eyes soft as his touch.
“Hey, hey. Hey, man. It’s okay. You’re alright.”
“Sam?”
“Yeah.”
Bucky blinked, rubbing at his eyes, his breathing evening out as he panted. “What…what are you doing here?”
“You missed your first appointment. I figured I’d drop by and see how you’re doing.”
“I’m fine.”
“That’s a load of bullshit.”
“It’s just a nightmare.” Bucky pushed the other man off, stretching his limbs before standing up. Sam straightened from his crouch to follow him to the kitchen.
Sam frowned as Bucky got out a glass. “How often do you get them?”
Bucky shrugged, filling the cup with water. “Often enough that it’s normal. You want anything? I don’t got much, but-”
“No.” Sam shook his head. “I’m okay.”
“Alright.”
They didn’t mention the nightmares or the fact that Bucky was on the wooden floor instead of his bed for the rest of the night, opting instead to sit down and watch some TV in silence.
It was a few weeks after, when Sam stopped by again on Christmas, that he caught Bucky doing it again.
It was in the morning this time, and Sam wasn’t expecting him to be asleep, figuring he never slept much these days. Except he was. In the exact same spot as a few weeks prior. He sighed, padding over and squatting down, shaking Bucky’s shoulder gently.
“Wh-what?!”
“Chill.” Sam placed a hand on his shoulder again. Bucky blinked, before relaxing when he realized it was the Air Force vet. “I brought you something.” Sam pulled out a small box wrapped in red, green, and white striped wrapping paper. “Merry Christmas, man.”
Bucky raised an eyebrow, tentatively taking the box. “You-you got me a present?”
“Of course I did. It’s Christmas.”
“Yeah…I guess it is.” His lips turned down at the former assassin’s tone. He wondered when the last time he actually celebrated Christmas was. Wakanda? 1944 in some basecamp overseas? 1942 in Brooklyn with his family for the last time?
“Well?” Sam chuckled, plopping down besides Bucky, crossing his legs underneath him. “Open it.”
Bucky shot him a hesitant look, before unwrapping the box. Three books were inside. J. R. R. Tolkien books. “Those are the sequels to The Hobbit I was telling you about. They came out in 1950…4. I think. Maybe ‘55.”
“I - uh - thanks.” Bucky looked up at him with those gentle puppy dog eyes of his and Sam felt his heartbeat skip
He shrugged, playing it off nonchalantly. “Figured it’d give you something to do…” The room went silent again, Sam’s eyes drifting to the pillow crammed in the corner between the wall and the couch. “So…havin’ trouble sleeping still?”
Bucky followed his gaze, licking his lips. “I just…I dunno. I can’t sleep in the bed.”
“Too soft. I know.” At Bucky’s slightly shocked look, Sam chuckled and explained. “Steve and I talked about it once. Our first meeting, actually. I served two tours, remember?”
“Oh. Right. So…you know, then.”
“Yeah.” Sam confirmed softly. He cleared his throat after another brief quietness enveloped the room. “I brought the movies, too.” He reached into his bag and pulled out the six DVDs. “I figured we could crank them all out today if you’re not doing anything.”
Bucky shook his head. “No. I’m not. But…but don’t you wanna spend time with your family? You’ve got a sister, right? And nephews?”
Sam waved dismissively. “I hung out with them all week. Just left last night. They’ll be fine.”
“If you say so.”
Sam went back to his place for New Year’s Eve, determination set in his eyes as he hauled the bag carrying the supplies needed for his plan.
“What’s that for?” Bucky wondered, eyeing the bag with curiosity and suspicion.
“You’ll see. Hey, I ordered pizza from that place down the street, Russo’s, but it needs to be picked up. Can you-?”
Bucky already had his keys in his hands. “Yup. I’ll be right back.”
As soon as the door shut behind the blue eyed brunette, Sam immediately got to work. He dumped out his materials, rolled up his sleeves, and started pinning, hooking, and tying things up.
By the time Bucky got back, he was almost done, just putting up the lights. The prisoner of war stopped in his doorway, wide eyes blinking in confusion as he stared at the other man’s creation.
“Ta-dah! Whaddya think?” Sam stood back, arms spread out, a proud beam on his face as he gazed at his masterpiece.
“Wh-why?”
“Whaddya mean why? If we’re gonna sleep on the floor every time I come here, I’m at least gonna make it comfortable.”
Blankets and sheets were hung up, fairy lights dangling and making the room glow softly. Plush throw pillows were scattered on the floor over a blanket that looked very fluffy and cozy.
“I got us onesies too! They’re the most comfortable things. Look!”
Bucky’s breath hitched at the pjs that Sam held up. They were styled as Steve’s uniform, complete with an attached hood/cowl and a pillow that looked like the shield. “I couldn’t decide on which ones to pick, so if you don’t like it I’ve got, like five other choi-”
Sam was cut off by toned arms, one flesh and blood, the other gears and metal, wrapping around him, squeezing him tightly. Sam immediately reciprocated, placing his chin on the other man’s shoulder.
“Thank you.” Came Bucky’s muffled voice from where his face was pressed into Sam’s neck.
Sam couldn’t help but place a gentle kiss to Bucky’s temple, a hand coming up to tangle in his hair, cradling his head against his shoulder. “Of course, Buck. Anytime.”
