I'm sorry to hear about your shadowban. I have been following this blog for a while, and I love the way you draw Wally!
It does suck to work so hard on something and it hardly gets noticed, but I hope you keep up with what you enjoy even if it may not get seen by much.
I hope more people will see your work👋

OOC: Thank you for the support! I'm really glad you enjoy the blog. Luckily, I'm used to quiet rp fandoms, so I won't be fully thrown off by this hurdle. I'll keep quietly working away in the meantime, and maybe it'll be fixed before we know it!

Un-Breaking Up
Tumblr media
Request: i’m not sure if your request are still open honestly it’s my first time requesting ever. do you think you could do one of 10, and 13 with changbin, they were exes and something happened either one could say 10 and then they get stuck together, idk this was a big brain fart
Prompt:
10) “Was it worth it?”
13) Oh no! There's only one bed!
Pairing: Stray Kids Changbin x Reader
Genre: Angst (with a happy ending)
Song rec as you read: Top or Cliff - KIM SEJEONG
.
"What do you mean there's only one room left?" you hissed into your cell phone.
"They overbooked for the weekend," Chan sighed on the other end of the line. "We reserved the rooms when you and Bin were still together."
"And I told you I would pay the extra to get my own room," you groaned. This could not be happening.
When you had agreed to go on this friend-cation, you had been blissfully wrapped in the throes of love.
Now, you were stranded at the airport with a headache and an ex-boyfriend hailing a cab.
"It would have been nice for you to tell me he was on the same flight by the way," you scoffed.
"You literally booked the flights together-"
"You said he was going to change them to come in earlier! With you!"
"I thought he was!" Chan gasped. "Look, if you can't suck it up and be an adult for five minutes-"
"It's a twenty-minute drive," you pouted.
"And rooms are already sorted, so you guys are just going to have to figure it out," he sighed. You could almost hear him, miles away, shaking his head in disappointment.
"Can't he like...stay on your pull-out couch?" you hedged. "I'm sure your partner won't-"
"Oh, they will very much mind," Chan chuckled. "Plus, Changbin paid his portion just like everyone else. He's not getting downgraded to my loveseat."
"He's small enough to fit damn near anywhere," you muttered.
"Y/N," Chan said slowly, careful to keep his annoyance reigned in. "We'll see you soon, okay?"
"Just say you hate me," you complained. You knew you were being dramatic, but you were in too deep to turn back now. It really wasn't your intention to be a brat, but you and Changbin hadn't seen each other in weeks. Your friends had inadvertently become children of divorce, so you knew Chan didn't deserve the grief you were giving him.
"If by hate you mean love," he said cheerfully. "Now get your butt here. I'll see you in the morning."
Rolling your eyes, you hung up the call and shoved your phone in your pocket. Turning on your heel, you marched over to where Changbin was shoving suitcases into the back of a taxi.
"Everything okay?" he huffed, pushing the very last of the luggage into the trunk. "What did Chan say?"
"That you've been invited to sleep on his pullout couch," you smiled brightly.
"Y/N."
"They couldn't get us separate rooms," you muttered, crossing your arms. "And we have to make do."
Changbin's eyebrows shot up. "I'll pay the difference."
"Tried that," you sighed. "They literally have no more room."
"They always have more room," Changbin grumbled, yanking his phone out of his pocket. "Even if it's an executive suite."
"By all means," you hummed, sliding into the back of the waiting car. "If you think you can do something literally no one else could, go ahead."
Choosing not to acknowledge your comment, Changbin joined you in the backseat. Careful to keep a sufficient space barrier between the two of you, he informed the driver of your destination before getting on the phone with what you assumed to be the hotel concierge.
No matter how charming he could be, the fifteen minutes he spent on the phone yielded no results. As he hung up, you could see how ruffled he was. Leaning his head against the window of the taxi, he slowly exhaled.
"Let me guess?" you remarked. "No matter how much money you threw at the problem, it didn't work?"
Taking a deep breath, he swiveled toward you. "I was just trying to help-"
"No one asked," you said sharply. "I tried to fix the problem and couldn't. So did Chan. I don't know why you thought you could come in and save the day-"
"You used to like it when I saved the day," he bristled.
You knew you weren't being fair and simply picking at him just for the sake of picking. "I used to like you in general, but here we are."
Changbin closed his eyes and leaned back into the seat. Luckily, the hotel was already coming into sight. Unluckily, you would still be stuck together for the next few days.
.
"Shit," Changbin said, stepping into the hotel room.
Yanking your suitcase over the lip of the door, you made your way into the room, stopping just behind him. "What-"
The words were erased from your tongue as you took in your surroundings. The room was gorgeous, and admittedly, pretty romantic. You were greeted by a small seating area and a low table decorated with rose petals and snacks. Looking further into the room, you could see you had your own private pool outside, intimate and moody with low lighting. The thing you had avoided recognizing though was perhaps the most obvious.
There was only one bed.
"Perfect," you croaked, completely exhausted by this whole situation. "Absolutely perfect."
"I could try to-"
"My guess is," you said slowly. "That they are so fully booked, that they won't be able to move us to a room with two queens."
"But you don't know that for sure," he said with a small nod, trying to convince himself. "I'll go to the front desk."
"Knock yourself out," you sighed, leaning against the wall to begin sliding slowly down it. It was time to accept defeat. "Better yet actually knock yourself out."
Changbin shot you a dirty look as he yanked the door open and disappeared from sight.
Too bad he was back within ten minutes.
"Let me guess," you smirked. "They are fully booked and won't be able to move us to a room with two queens?"
"You don't have to gloat," he pouted, plopping on the edge of the bed. Looking helplessly around the room, his focus landed on the two armchairs in the seating area (very much not a normal, pull-out couch.) "I can just make a pallet on the floor."
You felt a small pang in your chest. As much as you didn't want to admit you had any threads of care left for the man in front of you, you did. And unfortunately, you didn't want to condemn him to sleeping on the floor. "That wouldn't be fair to you."
"It is what it is," he sighed. "And I'm not going to subject you to laying in a bed with me when you don't even want us to be in the same room."
"Stop being dramatic," you scoffed, totally projecting. "We can make a pillow barrier. Plus, I really don't want to hear you complain and make me into the bad guy."
"Y/N," he groaned. "It's not like that."
You chewed on your lip, knowing it wasn't. Changbin had honestly been much more charitable than you had even tried being since the two of you had broken up. You had pinned most of the reasons for separating on him, so maybe he had taken it to heart.
Choosing to ignore his protests, you began to unpack instead. Leaving the top two drawers in the dresser open for him (a habit from when you were dating) you silently moved your clothing and essentials to various parts of the room.
"Do you mind if I shower first?" he asked. His tone was careful, as if he was waiting for you to explode.
You hated it.
"Go for it," you answered.
He moved quietly toward the bathroom, leaving you with only your thoughts as you heard the click of the lock.
Moving toward the bed, you shoved your face into a pillow to let loose a mix between a groan and scream. Sometimes it just helped to make nonsensical sounds when you were feeling frustrated.
It was difficult being around Changbin again. Even though the two of you had broken up, there were feelings there. You had been so desperately in love with him at one point, you just assumed you would be a little bit in love forever. You thought the two of you had been bulletproof, but in one evening of anger, you managed to break both your heart and his (and still clung to the rationalization that it was all his fault).
You knew who he was when you had started dating. Seo Changbin, member of Stray Kids, producer in 3racha, gym rat, and lastly, boyfriend. All of those things came first, and you were so, so tired of being the last checkbox on the list. After being cancelled on for maybe the hundredth time because there was some sort of work emergency, you had had enough. His things were waiting in boxes when he had eventually shown up, and you had endless reasons for why you didn't want to continue forward.
When he begged, you had shut him down. Looking back now, you knew it was because you were afraid. It was easier to have a hard break than admit that you were both flawed people who weren't trying hard enough. It was easier than actually making the effort and being uncomfortable. You werent't ready for that advanced level of vulnerability.
Changbin was one of the softest and squishiest individuals you had ever met, which made it even harder. Any form of neglect he had stumbled into subjecting you to had never came with a hard edge. When he apologized, he was genuinely sorry. He was too good and pure to have to deal with you being upset over something he loved. He dreamt of being an idol before he even knew you existed. It would be the best for both of you if you just stopped interfering in his success.
Maybe the thing that hurt you the most though was seeing how it seemingly didn't affect him. He continued forward like nothing had happened, even treating you as a friend whenever you happened to run in the same circles. That was when you decided you couldn't like him, even if you loved him. It was easier to be annoyed than show how hurt it made you.
It was sick to say that you had wanted him to be just as miserable and lost as you were.
As you heard the water cut off, you pushed your face away from the pillow and took a deep breath. It was just a quick trip. You could be cordial for the sake of your friends.
You heard him before you saw him. With the phone glued to his ear, he was chuckling at someone on the other line. It was difficult not to ogle at the water droplets still decorating his shoulders and collar bone, even though he was technically fully dressed in a tank top and shorts.
"We need to redo the guide," he instructed. "I might be able to break away for a little bit and record something.
Yes, I know I'm on vacation, but we're already behind."
After a few more minutes of arguing, he hung up, and tossed his phone onto the bed.
You couldn't help yourself. "Was it worth it?"
"Hm?" he asked. You knew he had to pull himself out of his own thoughts before he could address yours.
"Was it worth it?" you repeated, crossing your arms.
"The shower?" he asked, lifting his brows and smiling his patented one-sided smirk. "Absolutely."
"No," you croaked. "Working. On vacations, in what's supposed to be your free time. Was it all worth it?"
He plopped on the edge of the bed, keeping his back to you. "We're talking past - past tense here...aren't we? Not the call I was just on."
Your silence was answer enough.
"I like to think it was," he said quietly, tilting his head to the side as he made a hissing noise to reprimand himself. "But as days go by, the more and more I wonder if I was wrong."
You chewed on your lip, not at all knowing what answer you had expected, but that wasn't it.
Looking over his shoulder, he slowly pivoted his body to face yours. His expression softened as he said quietly, "Is that why you hate me?"
Your jaw dropped open as you floundered for one of your knee-jerk, cutting responses. His face conveyed such helplessness.
"...I don't hate you, Changbin," you said quietly. Surely, he had to know that.
"I don't think I would blame you if you did," he chuckled sadly. "I put just about everything before you, didn't I?"
"It wasn't a matter of putting things before me," you said slowly. "It was a matter of putting things before us. We were supposed to be a team."
The old adage that time heals all wounds was at least proving itself to be slightly true. It was definitely easier to speak on how you were feeling now that you had put some space between yourself and the initial confrontation.
Changbin nodded slowly. "I wanted to be better."
You tried to take the ice out of your tone. "I did too."
"Then why didn't we try?" he asked, looking toward you with watery eyes.
You tried to focus on your breathing. If Changbin cried, you were absolutely going to cry.
"I thought...I thought that I had done so badly as a boyfriend," he continued. "And that's why you treated me like I was an inconvenience once we broke up."
"You were an inconvenience," you grumbled. "Only because I was still so upset...and you were acting like everything was okay between us."
"I don't know how to act otherwise!" he contended. "We broke up and I still loved you. Treating you any other way would have hurt my heart, and I'm too selfish to do that on top of what was already done."
"Huh," you hiccupped, feeling the tears come despite your best efforts. "I really goofed, didn't I?"
"What do you mean?" he asked, furrowing his brows.
"I was the one who did the breaking up, Bin," you said quietly. "I tried to tell myself I shouldn't feel bad because it was your fault. You were the one who was always gone, but I didn't try to talk to you about it. I let it become this completely...other thing inside of me. It was like every time you cancelled, I added it to this stack until it finally tumbled over."
"But I should have realized on my own," he asserted, standing up to move closer to you. Dropping to his knees in front of you, he gathered your hands in his. Looking up through his lashes, you could see the toll the last few months had taken on him.
You were foolish to think he wasn't suffering in the same way you were.
"We can blame ourselves all day," you sniffed, finally letting the tears run over your cheeks. "But it doesn't change the fact that we broke up...and now we're here."
"So we un-break up," he mused, saying it as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
"Un-break up?" you muttered.
"Mhm," he hummed, easing up from his knees to sit beside you. Wrapping an arm around your shoulders, he tucked you into his side.
"It's not that easy," you hiccupped, shaking your head but making no attempt to untangle your body from his.
"Who says it can't be?"
"We're different people now, Bin," you maintained. "Do we even know if we can be that safe space for each other? It ended so poorly last time, and-"
"Because we let it!" he argued. "But we know now-"
"Do we?" you interrupted. "We don't actually know how to fix what happened. We walked away."
"And here we are, walking back," he chuckled, shaking his head. "We can try, really try...if you think it's worth it."
You chewed on your lip, looking toward him. His eyes were still a little puffy from his brief crying episode, but it was definitely the same Bin you had fallen in love with months ago. His dark hair was beginning to dry in its signature messy curls, and his even darker eyes watched you carefully. There was a fire there that had been extinguished for so long, seeing it again caused your heart to skip a beat. Now that you had opened the door, he would push as hard as possible to make his way back in.
"Y/N?"
"I may not be worth it," you laughed grimly. "But I know you are."
"I didn't know we were throwing a pity party," he teased. "I should have bought streamers."
"I take it back," you grumbled. "You aren't worth it."
Changbin's grin was wide as he wrapped his other arm around you and squeezed you tightly. "Of course, you're worth it, silly."
"So we're doing this," you whispered into his bare shoulder. The smell of his shower gel was still heavy on his skin, encouraging you to inhale deeply. For the first time in weeks, you felt at home.
"Hell yeah we are," he chimed. "We're going to do the shit out of this."
You laughed as you pulled away from him. You wanted to look into his eyes. He needed to understand.
"Starting now, we both promise to do better," you nodded slowly. He nodded along, eyes wide. "Which means, do you really have to work while you're here?"
He smirked, letting out a small chuckle. "Starting now, I am going to be so present in this relationship, you're going to get sick of me. You'll be begging for me to go to the studio."
"Somehow I doubt that," you sighed, lifting a hand to cradle his jaw. He tilted his face, nuzzling your palm before dropping a soft kiss there. "But I'm excited to see you try."

hi! can i please request a kyungsoo x f!reader fix where it’s an unestablished relationship and they work at a convenience store together while in college. kyungsoo is very shy/introverted but your asshole ex shows up and you see a whole new side of kyungsoo when he randomly protects you. thank you!
Tumblr media
pairing: do kyungsoo x reader word count: 1194 genre: fluffy i guess? idk warnings: kyungsoo being a threat, but also kyungsoo being awkward and cute, swearing, physical fight (?) a/n: can i date him? please let me date him
"the store is closed", you heard kyungsoo say and instantly frowned. what did he mean ‘the store was closed’? you still had about 30 minutes before the end of the shift, and he knew that very well.
do kyungsoo was a shy, quiet, sometimes even intimidating guy, but he wasn't one to play around while working - that's why you left him at the store while you organized the stock at the back, risking another item from your to-do list for the next day.
but it was only when the customer said something you couldn't quite understand, and kyungsoo mumbled back at them, that you thought that maybe you should see what was happening. customers were customers, no matter what and no matter what time they decided to stop by the store.
but, wait... were they really?
the moment you stepped into the front of the store, you immediately felt like turning around and walking away.
of course your ex should be the one causing trouble. of course you had to see him after weeks of him ghosting you.
"y/n, hi!", he said with a smile as fake as his feelings for you. "i almost thought it was your day off."
you walked behind the counter, beside kyungsoo. with a soft hand on his arm, you tried to smile at him, mumbling a 'i got this'. he only took a few steps back to give you some room though.
"um, yeah... i was at the back, doing some things", you explained, even though you knew you didn't owe him shit. "why are you here?"
your ex started to hum to a tune, grabbing a few snacks and a beverage before walking up to the counter. he smiled at you again, dropping his items and leaning in.
"i needed to grab a few things", he said. "plus, i missed you. i was thinking about inviting you over this weekend."
"if you missed me, why didn't you reply to my texts?"
just for the sake of it, you should see the frown kyungsoo did behind you when he heard your words.
"my phone broke down, i didn't know you had texted me!", he gasped. "shit, i'm so sorry, darling."
"i'm not your darling."
you started to beep his items as you spoke, trying not to look at him anymore.
"anyways", he chuckled. "i've been thinking about you, and i feel like we should talk. my roommate won't be in town this weekend, so why don't you come over? i can make us some pasta..."
"sorry, that is a no to me", you said, quickly pointing at the monitor beside you. "cash?"
your ex followed your gaze to the monitor, starting to pat his pockets.
"fuck, i think i forgot my wallet at home", he faked a groan. "can't you put it under your name? i'll pay you this week."
"hell no, last time you didn't pay me shit and the amount was taken from my salary", you frowned. "if you can't pay for it, then we can't sell it."
your ex tilted his head at you, annoyed. "why you gotta be like that?"
"like what?"
"all i did was love you, and now just because we broke up, you're suddenly all mean to me?"
you gasped. "you really don't wanna do this now."
"i'm trying to be nice, to get us back together, but you won't even give me the chance", he complained. "you cunt."
as you were ready to fight back, you felt a warm hand on your arm, pulling you aside and taking the place in front of your ex.
"say that again", kyungsoo threatened in a low voice. "i dare you."
"say what?", your ex smirked. "cunt?"
everything kind of happened way too fast. you gasped at the same time your ex screamed, as kyungsoo grabbed his ear and pulled with a strange amount of force.
kyungsoo walked around the counter, not letting your ex go for a second, despite his complaints and curse words.
"kyungsoo! oh my god, let him go!", you exclaimed, but it was a mystery if he was listening or not.
"apologize", he demanded. when your ex didn't reply, kyungsoo just tugged at his ear tighter. "i said apologize."
"i-i'm sorry, i'm sorry!"
"good."
with that, kyungsoo quite literally dragged your ex across the whole store, ignoring the way you were following him, not a single emotion shown on his face. he only stopped once he was outside the store, where he pushed your ex until he was on the ground, hands rubbing his left ear.
"i told you the store was closed, you should have listened to me", kyungsoo sarcastically said.
"you son of a bitch!", your ex exclaimed as he got up. as shocked and nervous as you were, you couldn't help but smile at that sight. "are you crazy?"
"you're lucky i didn't feel like punching you", kyungsoo shrugged. "now fuck off, and you better not come back here ever again."
your ex shot kyungsoo a middle finger, before starting to walk away as another string of curses came out of his mouth.
it was only when he had turned a corner, that you finally had the heart to react.
"kyungsoo! oh my god... are you insane?", you almost screamed, but still there was a tiny smile on your lips. "there are cameras here! you could lose your job!"
once again, he just shrugged. "i'm sure mr. kim would understand."
"yeah, but if he doesn't?", you complained. kyungsoo turned around and walked into the store again, as if he was trying to ignore you. "i mean it, okay?! you can't... you can't just beat someone like that."
"i didn't beat him", he frowned, looking at you over his shoulder as he grabbed the items your ex had left behind, going around to place them where they belonged. "i just put him in his rightful place. it's not my fault that he's a pussy and can't fight back."
you mentally thanked god that kyungsoo wasn't looking at you at that moment - you didn't want him to see how hard you had to hold back your laugh.
- x -
on the next day, it felt like kyungsoo was your closest friend. he spent the whole day talking to you, asking you things and helping you out at your chores - not that he didn't already do that as your workmate, but you didn't miss the way his fingers slowly brushed yours throughout the day.
"hey... do you like pasta?", kyungsoo asked during your lunch break, eyes looking down at you.
"um, yes...", you hesitated, suddenly remembering your ex's offer from the day before. "why?"
kyungsoo took a seat next to you. he rested the pot he had on his hands onto his lap, opening it and showing you its content. your stomach flipped, in a good way, when you saw the most beautiful homemade pasta ever.
"i promise it's better than... well, you know...", he said with a smile that quickly turned into a chuckle when you nodded at him.
let's just say both the pasta and the one who did it were truly much, much better than your ex.

finally done with Shephard's Mind! i took notes on the first couple episodes weeks ago, put the series off, then raced through the rest in the past three days. series official playlist here. it doesn't include some of the extras, but i'll link all of them when i get to them!
even though all my notes are finished, i'm going to split them up into three posts (plus a fourth for comments and misc source finds) so that this is more manageable to revisit. it's a longer series than any of the ones i covered previously.
below are some overall thoughts about Mindrian as a character, followed by my notes on episodes 1-10.
my overall impressions of Shep, not specific to a single episode:
his first instinct is to give people the benefit of the doubt, but if someone definitively betrays his trust. he will hold a grudge.
interested in aliens. not really disgusted by them. doesn't have a problem killing them but doesn't seem to take joy from it that can't be attributed to an appreciation of his own skill/luck/success or a matter of "fuck this specific individual alien."
the description calls him a "cowardly individual," which i've seen one or two people disagree with, but which to me feels accurate. he runs from danger and only faces it head-on when he can't run anymore.
he's not really squeamish about evidence of bad things happening to other people unless the implication is that it could also happen to him. he is unabashedly looking out for himself first.
doesn't use his own name much in his internal monologue early on. did say "Adrian wins" in episode 10, so i started calling him Adrian instead of Shephard. but then he went and started referring to himself as Shephard quite a bit more frequently in the late series. oh well. you’ll all know who i’m talking about.
EPISODE 1
Adrian was asleep before the intro. dozes off again while the others are chitchatting.
considers "your mom" jokes immature.
COMPLETELY silent while the helicopter's getting blasted to bits
says "my tummy hurts" when he regains consciousness at one point. his tummy hurts and he's not gonna be brave about it. as is his right
not too upset at the sight of dead HECU soldiers! i mean, he was trained for this eventuality.
head hurts. flickering lights bad.
he's expecting the first aid station to dispense Advil. it does not.
recognizes his sergeant being carried by scientists on a stretcher. follows because "i'm not gonna miss a chance to see him in pain!"
gets knocked over when the headcrabbed soldier throws the scientist's body through the window. gets back up and runs away!
has a reasonable degree of fear but isn't panicking.
assumes the zombies are black mesa's creation/responsibility. ("hey, your monster broke out of the lab.")
treats the first guard he meets as an ally! …until said guard offers arbitrary instructions Adrian has to follow before they can move on. then Adrian becomes antagonistic towards him.
lets the zombie chase the scientist while he goes for his vest. once he realizes how the headcrabs attack and attach to people, he decides to go help.
doesn't really end up helping. won't let the scientist stand behind him. ultimately leaves him behind. the scientist can be heard getting killed off-screen.
Adrian wants something he can keep between him and the enemy. grabs a rolling chair and pushes it around in front of him. (like Stark with that stool…) ditches it for the wrench immediately but then goes back for it and uses it to climb safely past the laser.
gets a bad electrical shock from a live wire. takes a break to recover.
best line: (after noticing collapsed support beams) "so, uh… you guys doing some renovations in here or what?" (after noticing bloody handprints on the wall) "and, uh, heh, evidently some… ahem… finger painting."
EPISODE 2
acknowledges the HUD! he can see it. it displays on the lenses of his helmet.
doesn't want to touch the crabs :/ avoids instead of engaging!
accosts the guard, demanding he let Adrian in. when he doesn't, Adrian is surprisingly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and dismiss it as being because of technical difficulties.
would NOT work here.
yells to hear his voice echo in the chasm
"okay. i probably shouldn't look down." (inching closer to the edge of the cliff and looking down) "don't look down. why are you looking down? stop looking down!" (looking back up and moving on) "okay"
very enthusiastic about finding a knife. takes it out of the vortigaunt's corpse without noticing the body. spends several seconds admiring the knife before realizing there's an alien there
"i've never seen an alien up close." (buddy what do you think the crabs are? oh, wait, right, he thinks zombies—and i guess, by extension, also headcrabs—are black mesa's creation.) "but now that i have… now that i have, i feel richer for the experience." he's learning so much!
only mildly bummed/perturbed to reach the crash site and find everyone there dead.
brushes the same arm that was already electrocuted up against the electrified fence in the middle of chastising a dead guard for having been electrocuted.
slur count: 1
i've noticed he goes quiet for long stretches when there's immediate danger or he needs to focus. he may be a contender for mind series character most capable of shutting the fuck up
thinks to check a soldier for a pulse.
cannot whistle. wishes he could.
hit by a vortigaunt's beam. electricity really is his number 1 enemy
never goes to barbecues. they're boring to him
left the base at noon. estimates it to be 5:30 PM now. hoping to "get home before [he misses] the new episode of House tonight" (referring to the show House MD and placing the series between 2004 and 2012)
best line: "all i did was touch an electrified wire and i'm already 12 percent dead! or 88 percent alive, depending on your point of view."
EPISODE 3
formulating a backup plan that involves stealing an alien spaceship from a lab.
sees a barnacle. considers leaving it alone because he wants nothing to do with it. reconsiders. kills it.
thinks maybe this one wasn't an alien. after all, he hadn't heard of echidnas until recently
loves the laser sight on the desert eagle. sounds almost disappointed at how easy it is to kill aliens with it.
has second thoughts about stealing an alien ship. it wouldn't be good to get mistaken for an invader by air traffic control.
wonders if the invasion is happening all over the planet.
hit by a vortigaunt's beam again!
sooo disappointed about being unable to take the lift up to the top
incredibly grateful to gman for letting him out of the electrified toxic waste room. when gman isn't there, Adrian wonders where he could've gone since the other way out is also blocked by electrified toxic waste
unhappy that all his pessimistic predictions are coming true. thinks of himself as "the Nostradamus of fucking up."
thinks headcrabs look like featherless chickens. contemplating taking one home and cooking and eating it.
chastises a dead guard for dying right next to a first aid station. hopes said guard reincarnates as a featherless chicken alien
slur count: 2
has a cousin James who thought he was a spider in his past life & would try to construct webs out of his own hair
fails at tucking and rolling
wonders now if gman ("that suit guy") found a secret passage out. resents gman for not telling him about it.
refers to an automatic gate arm by itself as a toll booth
best line: "okay, that's it! i'm gonna beat the shit out of you… with bullets!"
EPISODE 4
his suit is not waterproof. neither is his mask
disgusted at the barnacles slurming him when he shoots them
mood is greatly improved by the discovery of a hand grenade. mischievously says "it's time to ruin someone's day >:)"
recounts a story of a guy sneaking into prison with a hand grenade up his ass. hopes he can acquire lightning powers so that in case he goes to prison he can have a weapon on hand without having to store it in such a difficult and uncomfortable way
very irritated by the alarm sound
initially mistakes the houndeyes for puppies but guns them down before they can do their soundwave attack.
was terrified of big dogs as a little kid. says that fear has been replaced by his new fear of aliens. (wait, so was he afraid of big dogs until black mesa when he found something to be more afraid of, or did he leave it behind in childhood?)
calls houndeyes hamdogs. (headcrabs are still chickens. zombies are zombie chickens. vortigaunts are, i think, just aliens.)
feeling tired again. apparently couldn't sleep the night before. supposes that "maybe on some intuitive, instinctual level, i really knew this was going to happen."
takes a lil nap on the tram. mumbles in his sleep about "Freeman" and "pulling out," which is quoting something he doesn't hear until next epesode. his premonitions… (technically, Adrian has heard the name "Freeman" before over the intercom--at least, according to Krim; i never verified that myself—but next episode when he hears the name "Freeman," he responds "who?")
gets Otis a chocolate bar from the vending machine. when Otis doesn't move to take it, Adrian goes for it. his now :]
Otis shoots a zombie, so Adrian, impressed, invites him to tag along.
slur count: 3. follows this one with a "no offense" :\
in response to Otis saying "fighting aliens is not in my job description," Adrian offers that at least it'll look good on a resume.
manages to find a working phone and call 911. is sadly taken for a prank caller. may have also reached a pizza place instead of 911..?
best line: (about houndeyes) "and it's got, like, twenty eyes. who the fuck needs to see that many things at once!?"
EPISODE 5
this episode has a cold opening before the intro! and it's a really good gag honestly
gets put on hold by the person on the other end of the call. gets so mad he shoots the phone multiple times
directs Otis to stay behind and make sure everyone who arrives via the tram gets through safely. wow. that's really considerate
calls a headcrab a headcrab for what i believe is the first time! no longer featherless chickens. they are now crabs. another victim of carcinization
announces that backup (himself) has arrived. never walks this back even though everyone dies before he reaches them there
figures out the HEV chargers work with the PCVs!
does not have a dust allergy. this is fortunate, because the vents are dusty.
tells another marine he should go easier on the scientist since the guy's probably at least 60.
wonders who Freeman is. jokingly but accurately guesses he's an "evil scientist who drops people down elevator shafts or collects human skulls or something."
distraught at being shut in while the helicopter leaves without him. recognizes gman from earlier and is angry that he won't open the door.
epic melee combat sequence with cool music playing! Adrian efficiently takes down three vortigaunts using only the wrench and doesn't say a word.
sadly, the above only occurred in Adrian's imagination. in his Shephard's Mind, if you will.
the real encounter involves him running around and wildly shooting without landing most of his shots
fantasizes about enacting cartoon violence against gman
generally no longer surprised by aliens teleporting in. getting used to all the bullshit like finding weapons lying around in random spots and having to crawl through vents. not pleased at the fact that he's getting used to this.
immediately goes for a vent, ignoring a door. catches himself in the middle of doing so, but the door's locked anyway, so he had the right idea in the first place
perplexed at how a metal air vent partially submerged in electrified water does not electrocute him when he stands on it
piss time! nobody was looking, but then of course someone shows up right in the middle so he has to try to play it cool. end of episode.
best line: "like, what happened? did they just suddenly decide to convert this entire room into a pool? i hope they at least put chlorine in it. wouldn't want the aliens to get sick!"
EPISODE 6
the scientist who saw him pissing is dead now. eaten by zombie. no witnesses ("on the upside, the only man who has ever seen me with my pants down is now dead")
"i just saw this guy, like, three minutes ago" huh? took you three minutes to piss???
smacked in the head (helmet) by a fan blade. this is painful but not horribly so
wrist is starting to hurt from the recoil of the guns he's using. anticipates he'll get carpal tunnel "by next year." (so he is counting on his own survival.)
critical of the positioning of the "alien garden" right next to the vents of fire
entranced by the xen light stalks. starts making silly noises and "scaring" them for fun
gets that mischievous manner about him again when he has the opportunity to disobey a warning sign and blow some shit up
questions what the gonome is tossing at him and realizes with disgust that it's throwing parts of its own body
wanting to shower soon. worried about getting sick from alien blood in his wounds. thinks it could give him superpowers or leukemia
feels safe in the vents since it's harder for things to surprise him
irritated at a dying marine's unhelpful and obvious advice
goes for his gun and accidentally grabs the wrench instead for a sec. very silly
once again dreams of commandeering a vehicle to make getting out of here easier
frustrated that all the black mesa employees are afraid of him. thinks he deserves some appreciation for killing aliens.
best line: "looks like the service elevator is… out of service :("
EPISODE 7
successfully conquering (or suppressing) his fear of heights!
anticipates he'll come out of this situation with a drug addiction (which, at this point, he thinks he's earned)
looks back and forth between the crashed elevator and the snapped/sparking cables and then, in a goofy voice, says "well, there's your problem!" and proceeds to laugh for several seconds. i found this endearing
slips and falls :[
plans to make a habit of turning off electricity wherever he can since there have been so many electrical hazards
considers himself good at climbing ropes normally. climbing an elevator cable is a nightmare and a horrible experience (greasy)
"better not fire this gun." (continues holding gun at the ready as though prepared to fire at any moment)
(disapprovingly) is that a crate of explosives!?" (throws a grenade to blow it up)
grossed out by human head on the floor
remarks "what a shocking end!" about an electrocuted scientist. proud of and entertained by his cheesy one-liner
derogatorily calls a headcrab a "little ballsack"
cheerfully greets and has a positive interaction with a scientist
finds a radio. laments that there's nobody still around to call. hears voices nearby, though, so he gives it a try anyway.
links up with other marines for the first time! one of them's Jack, an engineer from his squad in the helicopter at the start! (Adrian doesn't know the other guy, and he won't say his name)
incredibly impressed when Jack lights his cutting torch with his cigarette
guy-who-won't-say-his-name stays behind while Jack and Adrian go on.
Space Oddity is the elevator music here! kinda neat. Adrian sings along a bit but doesn't remember the words.
best line: "oho! you just lit that with a cigarette! didja see that? he lit it with a cigarette. that's hardcore."
EPISODE 8
(while fighting aliens as the elevator music continues) "the power of David Bowie compels you!"
Adrian and Jack cooperate well!
Adrian considers how easily aliens break down doors and whether he could use that to his advantage.
Jack was,,, told to guard this area? so he stays behind. i understand talking to an NPC is sorta impractical, but i will miss him.
explodes a vortigaunt with a knife. shocked at the fact that this really happened. supposes they're so explodeable because their bodies are full of electricity…
the cool melee sequences he could only daydream of a few episodes ago are now a reality! good for him. character growth.
his actual life goal was to go into acting, not the military. thinks he could have cut it as a martial arts movie star.
passes Freeman's employee of the month photo and laughs about it. "yeah, i bet that guy's wishing he had taken the opening for a high school science teacher right about now."
gets briefly strangled by a barnacle. after escaping, he immediately backs into another one. decides these are the worst aliens. "now my trachea feels like someone stepped on it >:("
once again has the displeasure of encountering electrified toxic waste
apparently had gross greasy hands for quite a while after climbing the elevator cable but is no longer plagued by that
feels so insulted to have been shot with bees. would rather be shot with bullets
comes across a medic he doesn't know! pokes fun at the fact that Jack is "bravely defending a walk-in closet."
stumbles into a turret laser and gets shot at. very irritated by this. claims he was there the day turrets were brought onto the base and was assured friendly fire would not be a problem
gets shot at by black ops but still sees them as misguided allies who think he's an alien
when saying "it's me, Corporal Shephard" still gets him shot at, he tries "i mean, Corporal Swanson!" just in case that changes their minds
doesn't actually mean to kill the first assassin; only intended to fire off "a few warning shots."
worried about being court-martialed for killing four people.
there's a fifth assassin. Adrian fights him. while the assassin lies on the ground, Adrian says, "i'm sorry, but I can't have any witnesses" and then shoots him in the head.
he’s hoping the situation doesn't continue to spiral out of control and result in him having to kill even more people
has always wanted to say "double-time it" and is happy he got the chance to do so
i really like the way he tells the medic "come on, come on! we got an injured guy! there's no time to dust for fingerprints here! let's go!" because it simultaneously conveys the urgency he feels because of the engineer's injuries and his need to hurry the medic along so that he doesn't put together the details of what Adrian did. 😀😄
best line: "that's how it goes. in the face of extinction, all men become equals. and most of them become dead."
EPISODE 9
accidentally hits the engineer's gas can when trying to take out the turret. very dismayed at the bloody mess. the medic is unconcerned
never expected he'd ever actually kill someone. even when he enlisted, the possibility didn't feel real
makes several unsuccessful attempts to flirt with the assassins
says "okay, this time i'm not going to kill anyone" and then takes the assassins out with the pipe wrench, spraying blood everywhere. Adrian..! that kills people!
chastises a marine for getting BITS all over the place. later admonishes the same guy for talking loudly while they're trying to stay hidden. sadly has nothing nice to say to him
formulates a plan to dispose of all the weapons he used to murder people today in electrified toxic waste. suspects that black mesa disposes of incriminating evidence the same way
Adrian's knee gets grazed by a bullet because he's trying to flirt with an assassin. he STILL keeps trying even after this
very pleased with himself because he thinks he's being very stealthy, hiding from some assassins behind a box. accidentally backs into some other assassins.
suggests black leather in a brightly-lit area with light-colored walls may not be the pinnacle of stealth
can't explain why, but he feels Freeman is the reason he's here.
carries the SAW (which he calls the M60) for a while and uses it until it runs out of ammo. decides it's too heavy to justify carrying indefinitely. abandons it.
best line: "you see that, private? i just shot her in the leg. that's called courtesy."
EPISODE 10
anticipates being awarded a good ten medals at the end of this. purple heart for sure. thinks he's eligible for a medal of honor. as long as he's not a wanted criminal, that is.
he is DELIGHTED with how well things went when he distracted an assassin with a grenade and then shot him in the back of the head. "Adrian wins. Flawless victory."
shocked to find a rocket launcher not in use. disappointed that he can't carry it with him. "goddamn. i really wanna blow things up :("
believes he's "almost outta here." buddy you're not even at the halfway point of the series
"who's there? come out where i can see you! i got a half-melted chocolate bar and i'm not afraid to eat it!"
hears Freeman's name. looking forward to kicking his ass.
VERY nearly makes it into the portal after him.
somehow able to tell the difference between an open portal and a closed one.
has a lot of reservations about being on "the alien planet." might breathe in poisons… might contract an alien virus… nowhere to get a cup of coffee…
enjoying the low gravity, though. feels strong.
holding onto some uranium-235 even though he doesn't currently have any weapons that use it as ammo because he thinks he can sell it after this is over.
gets launched by a "crazy space trampoline" and hates the planet again.
a scientist falls from a portal up above, to which Adrian says "oh my god. it's raining men"
calls the displacer cannon the BFG9000
engages in the classic pastime called "make up a guy to get scared of" (jokes about there being giant bees and then gets worried about having to fight giant bees)
falls and screams for so long he runs out of breath and starts to cough. pathetically tries to continue screaming but can't make it work and is confused that he isn't dying
best line: of COURSE it has to go to "hey! get back here, you big orange fuck!"

New Year's Resolutions: RP Edition
Tumblr media
Howdy all, Ash here. I've been having a think while with family this week, and I've decided I'm going to implement some new 'resolutions' to try and help make writing in 2024 be way more successful than in 2023. This will include things from the running of blogs to jobs I really want to get finished. I'm putting them under a read-more to keep the dash nice and clean.
I will say, this has taken me an hour to write up, and I'd recommend you doing likewise if you think there's little ways you want to improve.
-
Overall Running of Blogs
I'm going to experiment a new approach to running the blogs. For this, I'm going to put all active blogs to low-medium activity. In other words, even if I am personally lurking on mobile, I won't be constantly writing things if I'm not able to. (Work is just about to get super busy and I'm anticipating chaos)
A queue/schedule function will be used for all blogs. I intend to dedicate one weekday evening to working without interruption on replies. Taking commutes to the city and family visits into account, this is looking to be a Thursday, which is the only day I am neither travelling to the city nor have a guaranteed family visit. Of course, this may fluctuate, but that's what I'm hoping to work with, assuming those things stay as they are.
However! What all this means is that I am going to tentatively take skullandbowties off hiatus. With that blog being quiet, it should be possible to juggle it better now. Plus, it's officially off-season so the demand for him from new blogs ought to be low. I'm very smart :D
I also plan to update all pinned posts. I am aware some of them are marking a vacation from months ago.
Individual Blog Maintenance
Create "New Here?" posts to add to the pinned posts/info tags. This is going to be a very quick crash course on what to expect from the blog, especially where some characters might diverge from fanon expectations.
FINISH. WILF'S. BIO. It's not actually relevant to anything being written on the blog itself at present, but I really want to flesh out his character and show that he was stuck in stories for years, decades even! The doc has the word count to 4,888 at this precise moment. This is a mix of summary and brainstorm. Since it's getting a 'little' out of hand, I intend to have a 'tldr' at the start that people can read, and then longer versions if they're curious to get the full story. Maybe even have it that they can jump to particular parts but... I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
Likewise, Noah's version of Space needs to be finished. This one is going to be a summary, but it's a case of making sure the pieces are in place sufficiently to have parts match canon Space, but also make it clear that there is a lot of differences between canon and what he went through, with his plot entirely spiralling away for 'Part 2'. This is at 5,794 words, and the ending has yet to be ironed out...
(I am going to stop creating needlessly long-winded projects for myself that realistically add nothing of value to my blogs. These two projects are exhausting...)
Theauthorlives is returning to a very small multimuse. Any muses that aren't ones I genuinely enjoy writing are being fully archived, unless they are muses that get no traction but I want to keep the possibility open. Details of that will be shared when I do this.
Redo some muse icons (not all of them!). Though the selection I have for particular sets is a lot, I still feel like I'm missing some expressions or poses. I would like to remake one batch of icons for three characters, and finish iconning a third. Replies seem to be shifting toward iconless, but I like them for asks or IC commentaries.
OOC/Mun Related stuff
Following matters that have happened both online and IRL, I've decided to take a step back from actively engaging with people. My focus will be people that I have been in good communication with for the last twelve months (as well as people I don't talk to frequently but am on friendly terms with) rather than people I feel I have to 'chase' after. Saying that, I'm going to try and not let past experiences meddle with anything in with new writing partners - whether these are brand new to the community or people I've not had the chance to properly interact with prior to this. Just be aware that I might not be super outgoing at first. (This is where setting limits and boundaries is good practice, everyone! Don't sell yourself short, and don't spread yourself out too thinly!)
Which is where I now say I want to send even more asks! Not just memes or sentence starters, but general questions about headcanons or muse opinions. I want to get people thinking more.
My stance on Discord still stands, in that it's solely for OOC stuff, but I'm not giving it out to everyone. However, I have been in two group servers that have little-to-no connection with writing rp threads in them. I would hope that I can fully regain my sense of comfort using Discord as a whole.
Art related
Despite socially stepping back, I still want to keep some semblance of 'community' where my blogs are active so people don't feel isolated. For instance, I want to do something that encourages invasions of ask boxes. That was good fun to watch as the chaos began to spread, and when people are good-humoured to go along with my silly ideas.
I want to have one huge art-related event at some point this year. I'm not entirely what or how to do it, but I think it would be a great excuse to practice something. Portraits, comics, something like that. I'll have a think. (For those who remember, the water gun event was supposed to have an art conclusion but plans for that fell through.)
I want to try and upload drawn responses to heythereneighbor once a week if I can. Obviously, this is depending on how busy it is.
I'd also like to try doodling more on other blogs? But I'm not sure if this is even something people want to see anymore. People might prefer I focus on writing if I have free time instead of doodles or little comics.
... the writing blog. I need to do stuff with that in general. Whoops.
Finally, I want to do what I can to the best of my abilities on a particular day. I've always told people over the years that real life comes before rp, and I still stand by that. Whether I'm around or not every day isn't the end of the world. The communities I write in are a lot slower paced than they were when I started, which is great! I need to remind myself that I don't need to be writing just because I have a bit of free time.

A Night At The Gala ~ Fred Weasley (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Analysis ~ After all the begging that it took from her boyfriend, maybe going to the Yule Ball won't be as bad as Y/N thought?
Warnings ~ fluff, Fred is a simp, Y/N is lowkey lame, female/they/them pronouns used, lmk if I missed anything
____________________
"No"
"Please Y/N, I don't want to look lame showing up to the ball alone. As my girlfriend you should be begging me to go, not the other way around!"
This was the fourth time today that a certain red-head has bothered Y/N. And over a stupid school dance at that. But here he is, in the Gryffindor common room shaking her by the shoulders. Normally, Y/N would be so bothered by it, if there wasn't a whole common room full of people watching the pathetic display shown by the Weasley.
"Honestly Freddie, I don't see the big appeal with wanting to go. It's just a dance-" Y/N wanted to explain the seemingly infinite reasons as to not go, but quickly got shut down.
"Just a dance!" Fred could swear that his soul had left his body at that comment, it's not just a dance but the perfect opportunity to show off his perfect S/O, and, honestly, get them put of their common room for once.
"It's anything but that! Its the Yule Ball, how could you not want to go? We never get to do this kind of thing! I mean, I've been waiting for something like this since like, forever! Plus, you're soo boring, always staying in here all day. You must be socialized, and lucky for you I am just the one up for that task. So go with me? Please?"
At this point, everyone was seeming way to be entertained by the futile attempts of the boy and the fact that he was now on his knees practically yelling for the girl to go with him. His hazel orbs burning into her own as he pleaded. And if we are being honest, he looked quite pretty with the word 'please' burned into his eyes. He knew that the longer he kept this up, the less patients his S/O would have with the matter. Y/N seemed cornered. And he knew this.
That cheeky bastard.
"Godric, Fred, stop. Everyone is looking at you."
Y/N stuck out their hands in an attempt to push the boy away to end the social suicide their boyfriend was oh so graciously providing.
"I know."
Fred grabbed Y/N's hands so they would focuse on him and only him. He would do anything for Y/N, normally, but right now he couldn't give less of a fuck. He wanted to go to the ball. The two of them, and be the power couple he thinks they are, although George likes to shut him down on the ideology, claiming no one actually cares about the couples status in popularity. A fool, George is.
"This is embarrassing for you."
"I know."
Seeing this as the one chance that may be presented to get him to finally shut up about this dance, Y/N decided to end the whole thing. What's the point on fighting him on it anymore? He's been asking since the ball was announced a week ago and has made it so painfully obvious that he wants to go with no one but Y/N, so why not entertain the idea a bit?
Sighing, Y/N gave up, knowing the pestering would continue. Maybe it won't be so bad? Or maybe it will? Who knows, one way to find out.
"Okay, okay, stop. I'll go, because I love you and hate how annoying you're being about this. Only so you'll stop going on about it. Don't expect much excitement from me though, this was your idea, not mine. Id rather be asleep though."
______________________________________
Oh what a mistake that was, because now Angelica, Katie, Ginny amd Hermionie have dragged her out of bed, forcing her to get ready for that evenings events.
Why must we cave to the stupid red-heads of this world?
Oh, right, cause we are simps, that's why.
While Alicia is helping to adjust the mop of hair that is Hermione, Y/N is helping out with everyone else.
"I get this doesn't happen but why do people care so much? I mean, what's the difference between this and the parties we throw when you yall win a Quidditch game? The way I see it, a party is a party."
With a final tug the zipper on Katie's dress finally rises. Turning to the mirror, Y/N admires their own dress. It's simple, yet elegant, in y/f/c, hugging the curves of her figure perfectly. Angelina has on a purple floor length strapped gown, Hermione in her gorgeous pink dress, Ginny in a green and pink dress, which oddly reminds her of a church going dress. All in all, the girls all look beautiful.
Ginny turns to face Y/N and laughs at the comment.
"Of course you would think that, considering you don't even attend those parties either. It's a big deal. Hogwarts never hosts these big events, amd we have 2 other schools here. It's a way to get to know the Bauxbatons and Durmstrang students amd just have fun. You'd think you would know how to do that, considering who you are dating."
"Oh don't start, little miss I can't stand my brothers."
The girls all shared a laugh as they left the dorm room headed for the stairs to meet their dates, except Hermione, who booked it down the stairs calling back a short goodbye. Odd.
The sounds of clicking heels could be heard from the stairs, signaling to the boys that were waiting in the common room for longer then they thought they would be.
Fred could have thought the world stopped, or maybe it was his heart. The glow of the lights hit skin as perfectly as heavens light when the girl descended down the stairs, and the expressions on their faces made them all look all the more heavenly as the approached. Fred could have sworn he could die at this moment and still be the happiest he has ever been. Awestruck and lovesick, he held out his hand to his S/O, amd pulled her close, capturing her in a sickly sweet kiss.
"This is going to be the best night you've ever had."

Hi! I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the anon from a couple weeks ago who just found out their grandma was jewish. I didn't know at first if I should get you a follow up, but your attention and kindness are still so dear to me, I decided it wouldn't hurt, at least (plus you called me friend, which is a win in my book)
So, I didn't talk to my grandma at first - my mother and aunts did. It was a very charged conversation, everyone was sore after a few days, but afterwards Grandma called everyone in the family to talk. She told us the broad strokes of the story, which was also very intense. She said she won't expect any of us to take this stuff to heart and start being Jewish, as she put it, but that she was happy with what we could share. She's kind like that. I know she's scared, I don't think she could not be, but she's been patient. I've taken opportunities to talk to her in small increments about it. I am really very open about learning about it, if not from a religious standpoint at the very least from a cultural one. She shared her secret for babka with me, as I asked her to. I learned it was her father's mother who taught her sister when he was young. It feels surreal to know this, a lifetime and an ocean away. But I'm happy she got to share this. I'm not the greatest baker, but I'm excited to try and bake it.
It's about to be Purim, right? A couple days away? My aunt is thinking of suggesting grandma that we celebrate it. I don't think we'd know what to do much, since grandma hasn't celebrated it in like, 80 years, but maybe she'd like that. Or maybe it's too soon. We'll see!
Anyways, I just thought I'd let you know. It may not have been much to you, but your words have really mattered to me. Thank you!
(also to whoever linked the song 'we are a miracle' in the notes of one of my asks, thanks for the song. I cried listening to it! I'm still very hesitant to say I'm Jewish, since I'm so removed, but to have even 1/1000th of connection to this history is honestly an honor.)
first off, of course I remember! its one of the more interesting things I've heard through this blog!
I'm glad you reached out I've been wondering ever since our last back and forth.
I'm also very glad you've been able to talk to your grandma and get a little family history and baking
yes Purim is coming up, it starts on the 6th, Jewish days start at sun down so a Jewish day would be night fall the 6th to nightfall the 7th, with the 7th being Purim (or the 14th of Adar in the Jewish calendar) you should totally ask her
IDK what Jewish community life is like where you live, if you live somewhere with LOTS of Jewish life or not. But I was thinking about after our last talk you should ask your grandma if she'd like to speak to a Rabbi, clearly these things do still mean something to her. I don't really know again how much Jewish life there is around you as far as options, and I also don't really know what your grandma would be comfortable with. Any ways she might find it comforting and easier to have one on one chats with a Rabbi rather than trying to dive into finding holiday services to go to.
one thing you might do for Purim, is the traditional cookie of the holiday, hamantash I mean who doesn't like a plate of cookies?
any ways if you live somewhere without a lot of Jewish resources, feel free to message me and we can brain storm ways to connect your grandma with resources. And feel free to message me any ways
also, this is a hard conversation, but you know, this is the end of her life, and while at the time I found it very hard to have the conversation with both my grandparents during their lives, after they passed a few years ago I found knowing what they wanted done as far as the funeral and stuff very comforting I felt very much like I was helping them. Sorry I know it's a very hard thing to talk about but... before it's too late your family should ask, does she want a rabbi? a Jewish funeral? a Star on her grave stone? her Hebrew name?
I wish you, and your family the best of luck (and happiness) with all this and to repeat my ask box and messages are always open for all questions, thoughts, updates etc

Is one of them going to die?
A pretty common theory about the eclipse is either Akk or Ayan are going to die. Something about their scenes feels off and kind of very nostalgic. The main focus of the show is still kind of blurry since only last week, the protest has risen enough the main characters are affected by it. The protest seemed to be the main focus and I still feel like it is. Like the main plot will surround these protests but since we all can't figure out what it is plus it seems to be something big, it feels like someone is about to die. As if the eclipse is saying "it started with death (Dika) and it ends with it." The question is if that will change anything or if the time between those two deaths will be treated as something unfortunate and things at Suppalo go back to the way they were. It's hard to say what the show wants to tell us exactly.
The other way around is slightly more possible if the eclipse raises the protests on a throne and says they are living the right reality and the future. If they actually win against the authorities, that would mean, everybody who joins the protest is save, like they won't suffer, they won't "die". KanThua are save in that matter. They both showed up and stood for their rights. They joined the other side, the right side, whereas AkkAyan just ran away. They are no fan of the authorities at the moment but they didn't join anyone. Akk is still a prefect and Ayan is kind of fighting in a very defensive way. He words his thoughts that are mainly coming from the sher pain and grief but now it looks like he doesn't really care about the protests and only follows his personal mission to avenge Dika. They are both not actively fighting alongside the protestors. They watch from afar and when it comes to actually raising one's voice, they are not there.
It's the same the show did with Thua. "If you don't protest, you are no better than the authorities." In this matter, there is no neutral area. Either you are on the side of Suppalo or you're not and if you don't actively position yourself, you are considered as part of the Suppalo side. Thua decided he will do something about it and joined the protest with Kan. Like I said, they are safe now. They saved themselves.
So far, AkkAyan haven't activley positioned themselves and I feel like it will end very badly for them if they won't do it soon. I hope Akk finds the guts to raise his voice but it's kind of more likely he won't.
The protestors will "kill" the authorities and steal their power, so Suppalo will be nothing. Teacher Chadok and all the other ones will fall down their own cliff because they can't hold on any longer. The protest will be too powerful. They already started. The teachers are already desperate to uphold their power and they let it out on Akk. At this point, Akk is so abused on a mental level, he won't join any side and that may be the end for him. Blinded by a fantasy. If he still holds on to this ideal of Suppalo in his head, he will be lost because there is no mercy for a prefect who doesn't seem to be against the authorities. Ayan might be the one saving Akk, I think he will be the one who sacrifices more of himself in the end.
The thing is though, if one of them is to die, I can't tell who exactly. Ayan could die because of the connection with Dika. Dika died and Ayan tried everything to avenge him which led him to the same end. He thinks he fights against the system but in the end he fights against himself. Or Akk dies because he doesn't join the protest or maybe because he does and the Suppalo curse finds him which would be more fitting. He was the Suppalo curse and now he is a victim of it. Either way, both character's death would be very sad because they would end up being the victim of their own principles, of their own selves and brought that fate upon themselves. Kind of ironic how alike AkkAyan are and so tragic if any of this is true which I totally think it will be even if it doesn't end in death but something really bad is bound to happen.

I have a different ask than what i normally bring, mostly because im feeling fluffy for some fucking reason.
Imagine a scenario in which the world isnt ending and there isnt a magic war going on and Valtor and Griffin can be (mostly) happy together. Few issues aside from any personal ones they have family and self wise (abuse from Belladonna, perfectionism, etc).
Griffin finds out she's pregnant. How attentive is Valtor? (Or rather, how attentive does he try to be before griffin just sort of tells him to lay off?)
(May have asked before but my memory is shit and Tumblr sucks at looking shit up)
I can't really answer that because I need to have a good idea of the background in order to figure out how he'd behave and I don't see a canon-adjacent universe in which Valtor exists but the war doesn't happen. I mean, the Ancestral Witches created him to be their main weapon against Domino so that sort of leads to the war. My point is that if Belladonna is in the picture at all, then we're talking about a Valtor that has the same mentality as in canon or one with only marginal differences. And the thing is that that Valtor is very hard to keep in character if you're trying to make him a dad. Trust me, I know. That's what I've been trying to do in the Griffin never joins the CoL AU and it's the reason why I haven't been able to make any progress on it in weeks. And I can't exactly give you what I have for that because that AU has the added fun benefits of him catching Griffin trying to escape with the child and then freaking out about every single aspect of the situation which colors his whole attitude in a completely different way from what you've described. Plus, there's the matter of whether the baby was planned and how much influence the Ancestral Witches have over Valtor at the present moment along with the abuse in the past.
What I think applies in both situations is the fact that Griffin will be her same self that pushes herself too far and won't admit she's exhausted until being three seconds away from passing out. So I can see Valtor not even letting her use magic to make sure she's not exerting herself and not letting her touch a book until she's eaten to his satisfaction because she tends to forget that as well when immersed in whatever she's reading. I don't think that Griffin's protests will be heard, however. Sure, she wants the best for the baby but she's not great at deciding what's best for herself when it comes to resting so Valtor doesn't trust her with that. Especially since she's anxious about being a mother and tries to prepare herself as thoroughly as possible. I'll have to leave it at that before it's gotten much less fluffy (which, knowing me, is bound to happen (I actually had to delete a whole paragraph for that exact reason)).

rut/heat hcs for the Sins?
Y'all work me to THE BONE.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Siran being Lust, he can delay his rut for a long time
He controls everything in the realm of lust, and sometimes that just means the lack thereof
And when I say delay, I don't mean for a few months, I mean at LEAST by a decade. So I'd say he gets it every 13-23 years (if he doesn't delay it, every 3 years)
His rut is the last thing he wants to worry about, but he truly forgets that when it hits, it hits HARD because he delayed it for so long.
Whenever he feels all pent up, either one of the Sins/Courtiers takes up the task to deal with him (horny bastards) or he just shapeshifts into a different form and heads to a few red-light districts around hell
Usually he goes for a more ethical approach and just goes to parties to find people to fuck with but when he's that horny and he knows he's gonna be banging someone for a while? The least he can do is find someone who's more prepared for his nonsense
And I'm very serious when I say that when he's not going to be talking to anyone except the people he'd be fucking...
Let's say you're one of the people at those parties he goes to (because I don't fw red-light districts generally)
You wouldn't even suspect that he might be someone he's not. Even if you did, that's the least of your worries. You're getting off either way, so why does that matter?
If he hits on you, you wouldn't even be able to tell that he's frantically just trying to get off, unless you look down at his raging hard on pressed against his thigh. Desperate being so desperate, he still has a way with his words.
If you hit on him first, it takes every bone in his body to stop him from whisking you away in that very moment. The only thing stopping him is that he remembers that he actually has to get you ready, so he does take a little bit more time to focus on you before his mind goes right about to thinking about which positions he's going to fuck you in
He insists on either finding an empty room (if this is a house party) or going back to his house (not his actual house...just the house he used to fuck around in yk) because just finding a quiet place will not service you at all. You wanna have everyone hear you hootin and hollerin? Maybe, but he can't draw too much attention to himself
Plus, if you go to his place, he already has everything set up so you don't really have to leave him unless you have to use anything in the bathroom
Now that I'm really thinking about it, he probably has a couple of places.
He already has unlimited stamina when it comes to sex and he takes that to his full advantage. He's fucking you till you're body goes completely numb. And when you snap out of it, he'll do it all over again
His rut lasts about 3-4 weeks. It's excessive, but what did you expect?
Unlike some of the Sins, he's a bit playful and giggly during his rut, at least nearing the end. Only then will he actually start talking. Even then, his words are slurred and quiet so you can barely hear what he's saying over the noises surrounding the both of you.
By the end of it, he wants you up and out asap. He won't make it seem like he's rushing you to get out, but he won't give you any reasons to stay any longer. He knows he's been out of work for a long while (you know it's bad when Kam won't even talk to him) so he needs to leave at some point that day as well.
Notice how I said he gets right back to work after? His energy did not deplete once during that whole thing. He's one of the only Sins that can get away with that shit
Tumblr media
Raivath is a butterfly. They don't do that, but he's a hybrid so he has to suck it up and deal with it. He gets it every 30 years.
Which isn't often at all so he never really has to deal with it anyway
But just like Siran's, since it doesn't come often, it hits like a ford F-150
Adrienne always offers to deal with it and he always refuses. The last thing he would want is another work related relationship and I don't think his moral code would allow that anymore
Raivath doesn't fuck around to begin with and even though his mind is clouded, he's stubborn ass still won't fuck around.
Do you know how strong his right hand is by this point? Probably too strong. At least his voluntary celibacy is keeping him fit
But seriously, he'd lock himself in his office and try to ignore it to at least try and get some work done. It doesn't take him too long to realize that the boner he's stuck with is actually going to start working against him if he doesn't handle it
So he does, in hopes that it'll die down for a little while so he can get something done. Of course that doesn't work, but he's getting off and really that becomes all he cares about.
No one cares that he's dealing with his heat. They'll still come knocking on his door to ask him questions. Some people (like Nash and Aqui) taught him that he should really get multiple locks and barricade the door before getting to business.
Usually people just forget. They knock and when they hear his shaky voice followed by a quiet moan, they just go "oh my bad" and leave him alone.
It doesn't seem like something you forget about but he rarely ever leaves his room or his office unless he needs to get food so it just seemed like he was going through his normal schedule.
His rut lasts 2-3.5 weeks. Or so he thinks. Because after that time, he practically goes into hibernation for like a week. He finishes (pause) with his hands weak, his body aching and shaking, and his balls empty. Who wouldn't want to sleep after that?
Tumblr media
Kazye gets his rut way more often than he would like.
To his dismay, his heat comes triyearly; once every 3 years.
He's so stubborn, he's more than willing to deal with his hard on and still go about his day. The only reason why he can't is because he bitches and whines more than usual and no one wants to deal with that. Plus, the other Sins can smell it on him if they get too close and they find it to be really distracting.
I won't say that Joule hasn't helped him with it but I also won't say that she has; take that as you will.
I would say that he does go out and find someone to fuck with or even just ask someone else at Hireath but let's remember he's the Sin of Sloth, he doesn't care enough to get up off his ass and take care of it. I feel like he's somehow grown some tolerance to it so he can ignore it better than the others. He can ignore it enough to at least get a bit of work done, but then he'd still have to take breaks to release
Honestly, if he has nothing better to do, he can just sleep it off. It's only 2-3 weeks
By the end of it, he just feels a bit more tired than usual.
Tumblr media
Anasuya becomes extremely emotional during her rut
It's hard to tell what she's emotional about until you ask her, it could really be anything. She often gets dramatic moments even when she's not in her rut so no one would suspect anything until she blurts out how badly she wants to be fucked
Only wears dark skirts for the time being because she has the biggest fear that someone will be able to see how wet she is (which wouldn't normally happen but she's paranoid as fuck)
Speaking of which, she still goes out and about during her rut, even though she wants to stay inside and complain about how horrible her life is
I mean, she's a fashion designer. She has to go get her materials, and life stops for no one. Of course she could send Laura out but she's a firm believer in "if you want something done well, do it yourself."
She still takes Laura out to shop with her because she wants to eventually let her go on her own (not because she doesn't want to go, but because she's becoming busier by the day)
The only reason I'm mentioning this is because she has shit to do and she's scared that people can just smell the heat on her. She puts on more perfume than usual to try and cover the scent
At some point, the scent enters the room before her and it just becomes suspicious
But still, even in public, she becomes more snappy and rude to replace the fact that she can't just cry all the time
Unlike Kazye, Anasuya does fuck around, but she just doesn't during her rut
Which sounds really strange because that sounds like the prime time for fucking around, but she's just too emotional it would just be really weird. No one wants to deal with her tears
Her heat lasts 2-3 weeks every 7 years. After it's done, she just goes right back to normal. No break time, who has time for that?
Tumblr media
(It feels so weird to rewrite her)
Aibreanne, w/o Alexi, would absolutely be losing her mind during her rut
She's one of the Sins that doesn't really get to take a break. Plus she's Wrath? Don't even get near her
She gives people valid reasons to be scared of her and then gets mad when they're scared like babes. Go get some dick and chill the fuck out
I won't say who she'd go for (or who would volunteer) during her rut
Or maybe I will. Siran, Nash, Duke, and technically since it's a favor, Atlas are all up for grabs.
And it's not really an option it has to be one of them. If she doesn't calm the fuck down and gets her shit together, Hireath isn't really gonna function for those 1-4 weeks.
1-4 weeks sounds insane, and it is, but it's also because she recently became a hybrid so her body is still kinda outta wack
Just like some of the others, she's also the type of person to bitch and whine all the time. Way snappier than usual
She has accidentally wacked people with her tail during that time
Basically, w/o Alexi, she's still a bit too honest
*She's also pretty quick to tell him. It went from her not really wanting to tell him cuz she thinks it's embarrassing to her just saying "I'm in a bit of a rut, can you help me out?"
With Alexi, her words are still unfiltered but she has a bit more control of it. But that's only if they're fucking constantly
It's completely possible that they're not, they're both fairly busy people, but if that's the case, she'd be EVEN WORSE. Just saying rude shit almost unprovoked
Everyone knows that they shouldn't talk about it because they don't wanna get their ass beat but it can be kind of a lot sometimes
If Alexi just walked in, she's already on him. She has to be touching him 98% of the time so she can function
Even if she's just laying on his lap she'd just be like :)
For some reason I didn't mention this earlier, but she'd be noticeably warmer than she was before
She gets her heat twice a year, but eventually it'll change to once every 3 years
Tumblr media
AQUINAS
THIS HORNY BASTARD
Excuse me but she's not settling down for shit, no one can expect her to even come to work during her rut
If anything, the people who will replace her when it does happen know that she's never even gonna think about coming in
She is fucking everyone and their momma's. Her body count is probably off the charts just because of her heats.
And the thing is, she doesn't need to be doing all this. She just uses it as an excuse.
Of course heats are generally bad and annoying and they just suck. But also she's a bear so she really only feels the absolute need to mate for less than a week during her heat
Parties. All the time. Every minute of every hour. She's even going to parties in other universes
If she didn't straight up mention that she's in heat, no one would even notice
She's more straightforward than usual (who knew that was possible) and if you're not fucking with it, she's gone. Like immediately.
Her heat lasts 2 weeks and happens every 5 years
She has a crazy amount of energy (due to how much she eats) so she doesn't even get a little tired after. She just goes right back to normal
Tumblr media
Fun fact, Nash is now just a "fallen angel" so he's not a hybrid, no heat for him
It's not like people are missing out, he's horny 80% of the time anyway

It's All Coming Back to Me in Waves
PART II
Summary: As time passes, you and Din start to develop feelings for each other that none of you feel bold enough to share. Excuses to stay together for longer get more and more frequent. Things start to change when you arrive at a peaceful planet in pursue of a bounty that will shake Din out of his stoic demeanor.
Genre: fluff, slight angst, slow burn
Warnings: very quick mentions of blood and sexual assault
Words: 3.4K
A/N: This part picks up right after the event of part I, meaning 12 years ago. I would also like to say that I am SO sorry for taking much longer than I initially stated to post this part. A lot of things happened that didn't give me time to write. Hopefully it won't happen again. As always, thank you for reading and hope you enjoy!
Intro; Part I; Part III;
What the Heart Wishes
You had been with the Mandalorian for four months now, traveling from planet to planet, seizing bounty after bounty, fixing unending little details in the ship, patching up Din whenever he got hurt – something that was easier said than done, because he would not stay still, complaining that he was fine even though his wounds would be oozing blood.
Although the initial deal was to drop you on Nevarro, you refused to stay there after arriving in that terribly dry planet, the only view being sand no matter which way you looked. And him taking you to a tavern full of smugglers, dealers, hunters and thieves did not help at all. Thankfully the ship still had a lot of things that needed repair, so you also had that on your side when you told him you were not staying in Nevarro. He completely understood, given even him wouldn’t stay in a place like that if he had the choice. Plus, he also low key worried about you, although he shook that small feeling off and pretended it never happened.
You didn’t like the next planet either, and as time passed, you realized you were starting to make up excuses to not stay somewhere so you could spend more time with him. And Din also realized he was starting to make up reasons why you shouldn’t stay in a certain planet so he could spend more time with you.
Right now, though, you were trying to clean a wound he got after getting into a knife fight with his targeted bounty. The bounty was now carbonite-frozen along others in the Mandalorian’s little collection of frozen criminals to be delivered to his bounty hunter guild’s agent.
“Stay still, tin head!” You ordered as you held his arm in place when he tried to pull it away. “I just need to clean this up!”
“Tin head? Really?” He confronted, looking up at you, and you could tell how much he absolutely hated his new nickname just by tone of his voice.
“Really.” You said as you dabbed a cotton soaked in hydrogen peroxide on his wound, and he grunted like it hurt as much as the actual stab.
“You know my name. You can just call me that.” He complained in return.
You had asked what his name was around three weeks after you had met, and at first, you thought he wasn’t going to answer, being silent for a few seconds. Until he did, almost in a whisper. You were happy he trusted you to tell his name, especially since you had already noticed he never mentioned it to anyone at all. And so, you respected his privacy, only calling him by his name when it was just the two of you, and still calling him Mando when you were around others. He never told you, but he appreciated the gesture, and smiled to himself under his helmet the first times you did it.
“I’ll call you ‘tin head’ whenever you’re being stubborn and/or stressing me out.” You picked up the field cauterizer “And right now, you’re doing both.” He raised his other arm up to argue against that, but before he could say anything, you started using the device on his arm, and the only sound that left his mouth was another groan.
“I’m not stubborn…” He ended up mumbling under his breath like a complaining child, trying not to yank his arm away from you when you used the device again, just to prove his point.
“Alright. There we go.” you said once you were done, patting more cold hydrogen peroxide on his arm to relieve the pain. “I’ll look for bacta spray on the next planet we land so we can treat this better.”
“… Thank you… Again.” Din said, timidly. You smiled, putting the used materials away.
“No problem, tin head.” You knocked lightly twice on his helmet with your index finger, and he pushed your hand away playfully.
Din couldn’t help but snort and shake his head, going up the ladder to the cockpit to start the engines and get off the planet you were currently in. As he sat in front of the panel and started to switch buttons, he thought about all of the things you had done so far that he was thankful for: fixing his ship, fixing him, keeping things in order, becoming a close friend but always respecting his privacy and space, listening to him when he’d tell you it was too dangerous to come along, not mentioning his name to others, keeping control of provisions, and, most importantly, keeping him company. That was what he soon found he treasured most, and imagining that one day you would go away made his cold beskar heart hurt a little.
Soon you entered the cockpit and sat on your chair, and he was quick to shake away his thoughts and resume what he was doing, pretending he didn’t have his mind somewhere else just seconds ago.
Unbeknownst to him, you also sat there watching him and thinking about all of the things he had done so far that you were thankful for, smiling to yourself in secret.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two months later, you were heading towards a planet to catch the last bounty of Din’s latest set of tracking fobs.
It was a small green planet, just outside the Outer Rim that survived mainly from farming, selling its goods to a few nearby planets. It laid there almost forgotten, unknown to most in the galaxy. Not even Din had heard of it before, but it seemed to be a nice place. Maybe you could stay there for a day or two after capturing the man Mando was after. He never stayed in places for longer than he actually needed. Nor did he ever mention a place he called home, or somewhere close to home he could have. It was just him in his ship, belonging to nowhere.
Din landed the Crest near a very small town, in between the trees of a forest. The tracking fob pointed that the man was not in the town, but also not too far beyond. You needed provisions, so you agreed that you could stay in town and do the necessary shopping while he went after the bounty.
“If you feel like anything is wrong, come back to the ship, engage ground security protocols and contact me.” Din said for what seemed to be the millionth time.
Apart from the times you would specifically go out and return with him, he would always tell you to stay safe. In the beginning, it was more out of responsibility, maybe even so he wouldn’t have to deal with any more trouble than necessary in case you got in a bad situation. But eventually, this automatic order became worried and careful, until it started to sound more like a plea than anything else. He no longer minded that he would have to deal with more trouble to save your skin. In fact, he feared that anything could happen to you and he would not be there to protect you. He had even given you a blaster and taught you how to shoot it, enough at least to give you time to run. “Don’t stay and fight. Run.” He had said.
After a brief walk through the main street of the town though, you two learned that that was a peaceful place. The people were cheerful and kind, and even though the sight of the Mandalorian seemed odd to them, they still greeted him with kind eyes.
“The man must’ve come here to hide only. Still, don’t let your guard down. If we’re here, other bounty hunters may show up at any given time. Remember what I said.” Din spoke as the two of you walked side by side.
“Shoot only if I need to. Run. Engage ground security protocols. Call to you.” You repeated once again. How many times now, you’d lost count.
“Exactly. It seems like the guy is in motion, going away from here. I’ll try to find a speeder. But I shouldn’t be gone for too long; maybe a day or two. Do you have everything you need?”
“Yep!”
“Alright then. I’ll see you soon.” He said and started to walk in a different direction.
“Be careful!” You said out loud so he could hear you clear and well.
“I always am!” He answered from afar, waving his hand without looking back.
“Of course you are…” You said ironically to yourself – he never was.
You fixed the bag on your shoulder and took a look around you, mapping the place and deciding where you would go first. You spotted a cozy looking inn with a cantina across the main square, the smell of home cooked food seeming to come from there. It was the middle of the morning, and you decided you deserved to have some decent food for lunch after having to live mostly on dried, tasteless food in Din’s ship. Maybe you could even spend the night on a soft bed with clean sheets in case Din hadn’t returned until the evening – which was unlikely.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You were right - Din didn’t return that evening. Nor that night.
After purchasing everything that was on your mental list, you took everything to the ship and walked back to the town. All that walking was more than enough to make you tired, and when Din gave no signs of showing up anytime soon, you headed back to the inn to rent a room and have dinner.
Apart from a few temporary guests and lodgers, some of the locals also frequented the place. You had a nice talk to the older lady who owned the place and the locals. They were as friendly and welcoming as they seemed, and the old lady seemed to have liked you a lot.
Later that night you made your way to your appointed room. When you slowly sank your body into the bathtub, you felt all the tensions you didn't even know you had go away. The citric aroma of the soap helped you feel at ease, and you laid there for much longer than you originally intended. The same thing happened when you lied down on the bed, and you fell asleep so fast you only noticed you did so when you woke up the next day. As you had your breakfast - by far one of the best you've had in your entire life - you couldn't help but wish that Din was with you, and that he was very deserving of a nice bath, nice bed and delicious food. He never allowed himself to have such things. Maybe when he came back you could convince him of staying in the inn for at least one night.
It wasn't until late evening that Din returned, walking towards you empty handed. He sat by your side on the bench under the shadow of a tree and watched some children play across the square. He sighed loudly.
"No luck?" You asked, looking at him.
"Not exactly so…" He seemed… down. His thoughts far away.
"What happened?" You shifted your body to look at him better, concern in your voice and face.
"The man, he…" he hesitated, then took a deep breath and started to tell the story of what had happened, keeping his voice lower. "We got into a physical fight as soon as I reached him. When I had my blaster pointed at him, he desperately told me the reason why he has a bounty on his head. He's from Tatooine, and he lived there with his fiancé. They had their own moisture farm. One day he came home only to find that four weequay gang members had broken into his home, stolen from him and… sexually assaulted his fiancé before killing her. He was able to track them down and kill two of them, one being the brother of the gang’s leader. They set a price to his head and he’s been running away since then.” He kept looking at his feet once he was done telling the story.
You couldn’t think of anything to say, silenced by the shock. You couldn’t even imagine how much suffering that man was going through, and how terrifying it had been to the poor woman.
Din was the one to break the silence, although he still kept his voice low.
“Did I do right, Y/N?” He was still looking away from you “I… When he told me everything, not only it’s a terrible situation but I also put myself in his shoes. I…” he took another deep breath and finally looked at you “I don’t know what I would do if something like that happened to you.”
This hit you harder than what he had said before, though in a different way. You widened your eyes a little, surprised by his admission. It was a terrible scenario, without a doubt, but the way he said it… You didn’t know what to say. You couldn’t see his eyes, but you could hear the anguish and the agony in his voice. Not in your wildest dreams you would’ve thought that Din worried so much about you like this. At the point of being completely shaken just by the thought of something like that happening to you. You wanted to hug him, but you held back. Instead, you put your hand over his shoulder and gave it a reassuring squeeze and a small smile.
“You did right, Din.” You felt his tension ease just a little bit under your touch.
“He’s leaving the planet. If we found him, soon others will too. I gave him some credits and a blaster. I can’t do much more than that. He’ll still be tracked down by other bounty hunters. But he’s not going to die by my hand.”
He took a final deep breath to recompose himself and sat back on the bench, resuming to watching the children play. They were different species, but they all treated each other equally. That was great to see, and it gave him a little hope for the future.
You two sat there in comfortable silence for several minutes. Until it was your turn to break the silence. This was not the appropriate time to say it, but you had been thinking about it all day long, and you were afraid that if you didn’t say it now, then you would never say it.
“I’m staying, Din.”
“What?!” You were sure you had never seen someone turn their head so quickly, and for a moment you worried about his neck. “Wha- Why?” He asked, being caught off guard.
“I got to know the place and the people here since yesterday. I spent the night at the inn across the street behind us, and the people are really great.” Mando took quick glances between you and the inn, and you could tell he was about to say that what you did was very risky. He even inhaled before starting his rant, but you started to speak again before he could. “This place is safe, Din. There are no troubles here. The planet wasn’t affected by the war between the Empire and the Rebels. They never even landed here. The inn keeper has lived here for her entire life and told me everything about this place. I told her my story too, and she’s got a vacant room for rent. Plus, the town’s mechanic moved to the capital city a couple months ago and now they have to travel to the next town if they need something fixed. I would have a place to stay and a job. And I still have the money I saved from selling those two speeders back then.”
The Mandalorian remained silent, looking away but not at anything in particular. He hadn’t spent time in town, but from everything he got to see while going after the bounty, this was a great place. He saw mostly farms with little cottages and vast meadows, the warm lights of the next town far away on the horizon, and three moons on the night sky – and he knew how much you loved to watch moons. The man he had rented a speeder from was also very nice, just like everyone else seemed to be. He had been to many planets before, and he learned how to tell a good one from a bad one. This one was not only very beautiful, but also very good. Great even. You would be safe here, and happy too.
But… He didn’t want to part ways…
Still, he knew it was best for you to be here than out there with him. He’d be lying if he said traveling along with him was completely safe given his line of work.
“Are you really sure about it?” He finally asked, after a long period of silence, looking at you in the eyes.
“I am.” You nodded. “I can start over here.”
“If you’re sure this is what you want, then who am I to stop you?” He smiled, and though you couldn’t see it, you knew it.
You smiled at him and turned to your other side to pick up a package that was lying down next to you. From your bag you took another package, a small bag, and placed it on top of the bigger one.
“This is for you.” You handed them to Din.
“For me?” He placed the packages on his lap and started with the small bag, opening it and peeking inside. “Credits? Why?” He looked at you.
“Well, for everything you’ve done for me and for this enormous ride you’ve given me. I finished fixing your ship a long time ago.”
“What? No, Y/N, I can’t accept. You finished fixing my ship but you also did so many other things. I should be the one paying you.”
“You got me out of a very bad situation and provided everything for me for months. The least I can do is pay you back.”
“I never minded doing any of those things. Plus, just being in your company was payment enough.” That last sentence came out of his lips before he could stop himself. He immediately panicked and thanked the Maker he had the helmet on to hide his face of complete horror.
To his surprise, you didn’t look at him in disgust and walked away right then and there. Instead, you giggled, and he was caught off guard.
“I like being with you, too, Mando! Take the credits. I won’t let you leave until you accept them.”
He sighed, both because he realized he had no choice but to accept the payment and in relief for not scaring you away - on the contrary, apparently. He closed the little bag and put in his pocket before picking up the bigger package. It was lightweight and soft. He had no idea of what it could be. He looked at you for any hints, but you only looked to the package and back at him, signaling him to open it. So, he did.
He picked up the piece and held it up, letting the fabric unfold. It was a dark, deep grey color, very soft and most likely hand woven.
“Your cape is in terrible shape. I’ve wanted to give you a new one for long now, but I could never find anything that suited you. Only bright colored, patterned ones that were nothing like you.”
“Thank you…” He said, softly, surprised that you paid attention to him. “This one has been with me since… Since I was tall enough for it not to drag on the floor, probably.” His cape, although torn on the end, was not very long, so that said a lot.
“Here, let me help you.”
You two stood up, Din holding the new cape. You stepped around him so you could take his old cape off. Your fingers brushed ever so slightly on his neck, and he felt his entire skin shiver, swallowing thick. You placed the old cape on the bench and he handed you the new one. After fixing it in, you stepped in front of him again to finish arranging the new cape in place. It felt soft on the two little spots it touched his bare neck right under the helmet.
“There you go. Much better.” You said after taking a step back to look at him.
“Thanks, again.” He said, a little shy.
“No problem!” You smiled, and after taking a deep breath, you spoke again “Promise you will come visit.”
He giggled and sighed. How could he not?
“I promise.” He said, with a smile on his voice.
And that was a promise Din was going to keep as strongly as he kept his Mandalorian vows.

Our favorite senior
Pairing: students of Jujustu high x gender neutral!reader
Warnings: none
Y/n is finally graduating from Jujustu high and the rest of the students worry that they’ll never see them again when they are busy with work.
ALSO the word “soulmates” is used in this but it’s platonic tho-
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
“Y/n~” Nobara sang. You looked up from from your book to see the rest of the students crowding around you. “What are all you doing here?” You ask. They seemed to be serious which could mean one of two things. One the situation is serious or two they did something serious and need you to fix it again. Usually it was always the ladder. “Do you wanna come hang out with us?” itadori asked. You squinted, you’ve known everyone long enough to always question their motives. “Where?” “Just the shopping district” Maki answered. There didn’t seem to be anything wrong with the shopping district and plus you had been wanting to buy some new clothes. “Alright that doesn’t seem bad, just let me get ready”.
The rest of the students let out a huge sigh of relief as you walked to your dorm. “I told you she’d agree” panda said whipping the obvious sweat from his face. He wasn’t the only one worried. All of them had been worried that as soon as you left you would forget about them. It was a sad thought that hovered over their heads as your time at Jujustu high was coming to an end. Nobara and yuuji were more jealous that they only knew you for the time of the school year. The second years knew you for almost two and Megumi had probably known you the longest. Gojo had introduced you to him and a bond was instantly formed. Though they all had in common that when you met them you immediately took them under your wing. You were like Jujustu high’s older sibling, always being there for your underclassmen no matter what.
“Do you guys really think they’ll forget us?” Yuuji pouted, you were like family to him now and the thought of you really leaving forever haunted him. Nobara hit his head and spoke “jeez your getting to emotional over this”. Everyone looked over to Nobara who’s eyes were so watery the sun glinted in them 10x more. “SPEAK FOR YOURSELF” yuuji choked out. Toge just sulked. He would miss how you’d tolerate his playful antics. Maki was also just pouting at the ground. You and her had that bond that no other could replace. Almost like you two were soulmates. Panda had looked up to you greatly, probably training with you the most was feeling emotional over the thought of you really forgetting him and the others. Megumi wouldn’t let it show but he was pretty glum at the moment. Knowing you for the longest and probably knew you the best out of the group even worried about him fading from your mind.
You walked outside to see everyone silently standing in a circle. They were all hunched over even Megumi who never slacks when it comes to posture. Slowly creeping up behind the group you hear small sniffles. Pushing your head in between Nobara and yuuji’s you asked “are you guys ok?”. Everyone jumped at the same time. When they came back down they all looked normal. “Of course were fine why would we be sad” maki spoke. “Tuna tuna” Toge agreed. Shrugging off the odd encounter you all went to the shopping area for the remainder of the day until it got dark.
You all laughed and played around on your way home. All of you held large bags of clothes, accessories and sweets to bring back for Gojo as Nobara walked freely with a small bag with a pair of earrings and other pieces of jewelry that probably drained gojo’s credit card.
You wiped away the tear from laughing. “This has got to be the best day ever” you said pulling everyone close to you. They all smiled, it truly was a great day but the thought of this being one of the last few times you’d say that to them. Soon you would be making new memories replacing the ones they had with you with others. Others that matched your skill and would always be working with you.
They hadn’t noticed it but you had been staring at them as their smiles faltered and the glint in their eyes left. Had they not had a great time? No. They were probably just tired. You all spent the day walking they probably just want to rest.
After arriving back to the school everyone said their goodnights and left to their rooms. You walked back and threw yourself on your bed. Going on your phone you looked through the pictures of today and old ones from the past months. Your adored those memories with your whole heart. You found a couple with yuuta in them. you missed Yuuta, though you didn't know him in person that long you both surprisingly stayed in contact while he was out and about in other countries. you placed your phone down. There was a mission you had to go on tomorrow and you didn’t want to be tired when it was time to wake up.
The next morning everyone woke up and went to the kitchen and saw many large stacks of pancakes with a note.
Good morning everyone, I have a mission to go on and I probably won’t be back until tomorrow. I hope you enjoy breakfast and don’t die while I’m gone :)
Their eyes started to water as they ate the pancakes. Itadori going on how deli it was while maki told him he’d choke if he kept talking. You were always the best at making them food. When you learned one or more of them hadn’t ate you always whipped something up quickly. There was never a time where they doubted you were the ultimate older sibling of this school, as you even cared for Gojo sometimes no matter how annoying he was. You’d help ijichi with his errands and hang out with principle yaga’s cursed corpses. Helping shoko with paper work and general healing people.
“Oh I can’t take this anymore” Nobara wailed. Megumi looked down. “I doubt y/n would forget about us”. Everyone looked up at him. “How can you know that” yuuji wined. “Just trust me I’m sure she won’t...”
The answer and the silence they came after it wasn’t very comforting. Toge and Panda didnt want to say anything, they had no clue what to say. No matter how many memories you could make with a person it was always possible to forget them. They all believed that’s what would happen with you.
The rest of the day went by slow. Gojo could sense something seemed wrong and before he could even ask why the group hovered over your bed in silence Nobara yelled at the top of her lungs for him to get out. Gojo simply walked away not wanting to make her more mad.
The slideshow had to be one of the worst they could make but still planned on presenting it to you on your last day.
“When IS y/n’s last day here?” Megumi asked. Maki tapped her cheek thinking. Toge’s eyes went wide and jumped up to the calendar hanging from the wall. He remembered when the last seniors graduated and then pointed to the next day on the calender. He frantically started walking around the room muttering words no one could hear. Everyone started getting teary-eyed, walking back and forth, saying random things. Everything was out of order. They thought they’d have at least another week with you and couldn’t handle the sudden change. They all paused when they heard the door open. Maki and Nobara were about to yell for Gojo to leave the room when they noticed it was YOU.
“How are you back here so early, you were gone for less than 6 hours” panda questioned. You blinked a couple times. “Well...the mission was easier than I thought but why are you all in my room and why are you all crying”. You were confused but concerned most of all.
"Guys-"
"PLEASE DONT FORGET ABOUT US" itadori and Nobara sang in unison. toge and panda repeatedly nodded their heads. the four were on their knees begging while Maki and Megumi stood awkwardly. "your gonna leave and then just forget about us in a couple months that's all" Maki said averting her eyes from your confused figure.
"what do you all mean? how the hell could I forget you guys" you said as you bent down and bought the four students up. "I love you guys and I couldn't forget my time with you all even if I wanted to which I never would!" you said pulling everyone into a close hug again. "But-" "There's no buts itadori and besides I'm not exactly leaving". Everyone looked at you with confusion. Toge staring at you menacingly trying to sense if you were lying. "DID YOU GET HELD BACK" Nobara gasped. You chuckled "of course not, after a couple of months I'll be coming back as a teacher". Panda picked you in a bone crushing hug and everyone followed.
"your our favorite senior" Itadori exclaimed.
you wheezed for a laugh as you were in a very tight hug. "I'm your Only senior, but you all are my favorite underclassmen....now I won't live long enough to buy you all treats if I don't get down-"

team hcs lets go! lets go!
maxie;
Numel/Camerupt (Sandstone) ; Caught when having temporarily ran away from home as a child, the pokemon he's had the longest. She's very chill and just vibing most of the time- she loves to cuddle and she’s well behaved, Due to having been with Maxie all his childhood, she’s seen a lot of the… less then pleasant stuff, and will still fly into a panic if she ever sees anyone attempting to harm him physically. She’s very protective.
Poochyena/Mightyena (Granite) ; His parents owned a Houndoom and a Mightyena, who had two Poochyena pups together. When Maxie ran off in highschool he took them both with him. Granite's very lively, and out of the whole team has the most trouble fighting against Archie's team. She just doesn't get what happened between them. She listens well however, she just…. doesn’t get why she can’t hang out with her sister anymore.
Poochyena/Mightyena (Obsidian) ; The other Poochyena pup Maxie took from home, though she ended up as a part of Archie's team somewhere in highschool.
Zubat/Golbat/Crobat (Mercury) ; Obtained in Rocket, one of the Pokémon issued to almost all members. Mercury was a recent catch of the team, so while he was a little freaked out and untrusting, Maxie ended up winning him over fairly easily with some treats. He loves to sit on Maxie's head and/or wrap his wings around him. It doesn't make seeing easier but Maxie has never managed to get him to stop.
Weezing (Chalcantite) ; Obtained in college, from an old teacher Maxie got along with well enough. She was retiring, and wanted her Pokémon to be able to travel a while longer. So, Maxie took the Weezing over! Originally he'd never gotten a nickname- and even though Maxie technically gave him one, it's kind of a 50/50 chance if he remembers that thats his name and responds to it. His original owner died somewhere in the Rocket years. Chalcantite is fairly slow, but very enthusiastic. He's doing his best. Post-ORAS Maxie let's him retire to a Pokémon daycare since he's already getting old- but he still gets very excited whenever Maxie visits. He's living out his last days being spoiled by the employees of the daycare.
Gligar (Novaculite) ; Obtained post-ORAS. Once Maxie and Archie moved in together, they kept finding items around the house missing, and someone kept going trough their trash nightly. Eventually Maxie (literally) caught the culprit. He originally meant to release it, but Archie convinced him to try training it- Gligars don't normally live in Hoenn, so it probably got here by accident somehow and didn't know how to adapt to the environment, leading to the thefts. Training it would help it! Also it's a ground type come on Maxie you know you want another cute ground type let it join, It worked. A spoiled little thing that loves to constantly be held and cuddled and will demand attention if it's not given. Novaculite- or Nova, as literally everyone including Maxie as this point calls him- rarely joins battles, it doesn’t really enjoy them- but it likes to just hang around and watch, eating whatever treats it can get.
Trapinch/Vibrava/Flygon (Mica) ; Obtained post-ORAS, about a year after Nova. Originally found as a trapinch when Maxie was trying to research in the desert of route 111, apparently in the area this Trapinch called his territory. After days of fighting with the thing, eventually it just... didn't show up one day when Maxie got into the space it normally protected. Kind of curious (and slightly concerned) Maxie ended up looking around for it, finding it stuck under some collapsed desert ruin fragments it couldn't get out from again. Taking pity on the Trapinch he helped it out, and after that it started following him around. After a week or two when research was done, Maxie ended up taking it home, and that was that. Very brash and competitive, Mica loves to fight- and also loves to be praised afterwards for it. Having only recently evolved into it's final form, it's still not used to it's larger body and keeps accidentally breaking furniture.
Volcarona (Tephra) ; Obtained post-ORAS, the most recent addition to the team. Caught when on a vacation in Unova with Archie- Maxie kind of fell in love with the look of the Pokémon, and decided to take her home. Archie nearly got a heart attack when he saw Maxie with it. Tephra is very regal, very large, and (like most of Maxie's pokemon) very spoiled and pampered. She does not tolerate a no for an answer- though she never causes a fuss. If she disagrees with you she will just burn her path to whatever she wanted- very calmly, and very regally. She only listens to Maxie.
She's the one Pokémon on Maxie's team Archie can not figure out how to win over. She just... hovers there. Will she burn you? Will she just let you pass? You won't know until you walk past her. For your sake, have some treats on hand to bribe her.
archie;
Carvanha/Sharpedo (Dusk) ; Caught as a child with the help of his mom and one of his older siblings. They found it without the rest of it's school, and Archie was adamant he wanted it as his Pokémon, so they helped him catch it. Stubborn and kind of aggressive, it took forever to tame him- As a child Archie was just constantly covered in bites from it. He never gave up or was even discouraged though- this was his Pokémon!! He loved it!! Over time the Pokémon finally started feeling safe around him, and they got closer until it evolved. As a Sharpedo he honestly mellowed out a lot. It's very easygoing, and great with kids. It loves to be pet and cuddled- which Archie always indulges, despite the fact that Dusk very much has the rough skin ability.
Grimer/Muk (Pizza) ; Found as a child in a nearby trash dump- the Grimer was actually sitting in an empty pizza box. Being like 10 and thinking he was so smart it thus got named Pizza. Pizza's also pretty chill, and loves to eat and sleep. That said, when it is awake, it's very good at sneaking up on people. Maxie doesn't get how a literal goop of toxic waste can do that but Pizza is a toxic waste goop of many talents.
Poochyena/Mightyena (Granite) ; Obtained from Maxie in high school. Like her sister, she's very energetic and lively. Granite loves to run, and is pretty much always doing something. She listens very well though, and she’s mostly just a good girl. She’s a bit smaller then her sister. Much like her sister, she has the hardest time fighting Maxie's team in battle. She just doesn't get why they must fight <:[
Zubat/Golbat/Crobat (Fangs) ; Obtained in Rocket, one of the Pokémon issued to almost all members. The zubat had been caught a while ago, and had been passed from grunt to grunt- with some... not great owners inbetween. When Archie got him, the thing was incredibly skittish and aggressive with massive trust issues for humans. It took Archie forever to even get it to stop trying to bite him whenever it was out of it's pokeball, but he never gave up on the tiny Pokémon. Eventually managing to win it's trust, Fangs still has a lot of trust issues towards other humans. It tolerates Maxie, Shelly and Matt, but prefers not to be touched by anyone but Archie. Still, it loves him very much- and it's loved a lot in return. Fangs has the best life he can now, Archie always does his best to make him feel comfortable no matter the situation they're in. He also turned out to be a very strong fighter, despite being fairly weak (mainly due to mistreatment) as a zubat.
Mantyke/Mantine (Tidal) ; Caught just before somewhere in Rocket years. He met her on one of his walks along the beach- thinking over his life’s mistakes-with one of her fin being caught up in net. After helping her out she turned out very playful and he definitely could use something nice- besides, because of her injury she seemed to have lost her school and needed the company. So he ended up catching her! Once she evolved (somewhere in Aqua) she got trained to help rescue people- mainly in case a grunt ever got stuck in a rip current or something. As such , while still playful, she knows to be careful gentle and caring when it comes down to it! She's a good girl. While Maxie knew of her in Rocket he never saw her much, and she had the hardest time warming up to him after the teams reunited again. She doesn’t battle often. Archie takes her along sometimes when battling for fun or if he truly thinks he needs her- but usually he lets her do her thing. As such, she was not present in the deep sea cavern fight.
Castform (Missy) ; Obtained post-ORAS. A little pest who wants to get her way. The reunited team tried catching her to help study and watch out for lingering weather effects Kyogre and Groudon might've caused, but failed each time. Instead she got very good at ruining the equipment near the base or that was brought out on field missions. Eventually Archie literally made a deal with her to Stop Doing That in exchange for pokepuffs. It worked! She stuck around, and became a part of the team. She's no good at fighting and never battles, but she's very good at demanding attention. Plus, she ended up helping the team out with the research on lingering weather effects after all, so she deserves some extra treats for her hard work, she thinks. Archie has no idea how to deal with her, but she’s happy and helping out, so… he supposes he can deal with it.
Archie also has a bunch of Pokémon that are by no means actually his- they’re wild Pokémon that he’s helped along the way, and remember and recognise him. A lot will hang out with him, some follow him around, and a select few will happily temporarily join his team if he asks. The most notable ones are;
A Quagsire named Mr. Goop. She was found sickly from having been caught in an oil spill. After having been rescued and cared for by Aqua, she was mistaken for male for the longest time due to her large backfin. Once Archie found out she just had a larger fin then normal for females of the species but what still very much a girl, she’d already gotten used to the name of Mr. Goop, so Mr. Goop she stayed.
A Sealeo named Tundra. Found as a spheal without a group and living in waters to warm for it, Archie helped it migrate to a better environment. However, the thing never seemed to want to join another spheal pack, and as such just ended up traveling around with Archie for a long time. It was always however very interested in battling, and evolved soon enough- ending up strong enough to survive on it’s own fine. Tundra joins Archie’s team most often whenever he needs an extra fighter- Tundra loves the battles, and it loves the treats. Still, it appreciates being able to return to the wild seas again in the end.
A Lanturn named Siren. Found with her lightstem damaged, Aqua helped repair parts of it with prosthetics. Once she could hunt on her own again, she was released back to the seas, but still visits the base every few months and hangs around there for a couple of weeks.

Hit mad falls in love with target - read on ao3
*-*
Peter waved frantically at Tony when he walked into the lab, eyes glued to a computer screen.
"Tony, quick! Look!" He demanded, nearly vibrating in his chair.
Tony made his way over, hands clasped behind his back as he leaned over Peter's shoulder.
"Isn't it awesome?" The young man asked, waving his hands around.
"What am I looking at?" Tony asked.
"Its cancer," Peter said. He points to different colored lines in the graph, all jagged and fluctuating. "This is breast cancer, and this one is pancreatic, skin, lung."
Tony hums as Peter continues to list each colored line as a different form of cancer.
"I was able to isolate the individual cells from everything else, and- look, look!"
Peter snatches Tony by the shirt sleeve and tugs him from one monitor to the one on the other side of the lab. He taps his fingers on the screen, bouncing on his heels.
"These are the cells after being treated with non-radioactive therapy," Peter said, looking up at Tony. "The number of cancer cells is cut in half within a week!"
Peter then drags Tony across the lab again, babbling excitedly as he does so. "Do you know what this means? This means we can start human testing! And we can market the treatment for practically nothing!"
He shows Tony a live feed of the treatment in action from a TV monitor.
"Think about the possibilities," Peter grinned. "Anyone can get treated, no matter their financial standing. And the treatment isn't as harmful as chemo or radiation. It doesn't attack the body as a whole, it isolates the cancer cells and leaves the rest of the body alone.
"No more hair loss or side effects. And we could cut remission in half too," Peter said. "Just think, this time next year, we could start selling to hospitals all over the world."
Tony smiles down at the younger man. He had known within the first day of meeting Peter that he wouldn't be able to follow through. He's glad he hadn't.
"Have you told anybody else?" He asks casually.
"Ned knows," Peter said. "And Bruce, but they were here when it happened."
"Where are they now?"
Peter gives Tony a wry smile, still too excited about his treatment working.
"I sent them home a couple hours ago," he said. "We've all been awake for almost three days, so I'm sure they've gone to bed already."
"You should be in bed too, don't you think?" Tony asked, raising an eyebrow.
Peter waves him off, shaking his head as he goes to his work desk. "I'll sleep later," he said, pulling his lab coat off and draping it over the chair.
He's dressed in his usual outfit; comfortable pants and a button up.
"Plus, I knew you'd make your rounds around this time, and I wanted to tell you," Peter said with a grin, grabbing his personal items.
That was part of Tony's cover. A janitor for the building Peter worked for. Hes wearing a navy blue jump suit, though he's left the cart out in the hallway.
"I'll walk you to your car," Tony hums, leading the way out. When he'd first started this, he'd offered his company to get closer to Peter -to find his vulnerabilities.
Now though, he does it because he's protecting the young scientist.
He'd skipped out with 45 thousand dollars paid to kill the boy, but as the days had gone on, and Peter had grown comfortable with him, Tony realized he couldn't steal him from the world.
Peter was incredible. He worked tirelessly to find a cure for cancer. He's already created a new insulin for diabetes that he's made available to everyone for only $10 a month -something not many other medical professionals liked.
Peter was making enemies left and right, and Tony decided to make it his job to keep him breathing. If not for the rest of his life, then for as long as it takes for the young scientist to see an end to cancer.
The boy wasn't getting much in terms of money for his creations. In fact, from what Tony's come to learn, the boy doesn't own a car, and rents an apartment with his aunt.
He sees enough to live paycheck to paycheck and this new treatment won't do much to better his life, but he's not concerned with money. He wants to make Healthcare more effective and affordable.
Tony's got morals. Enough of them to know when a hit is a bad investment. That didn't stop him from taking his payment anyway.
The two make it to the car park. Its dark, the overhead lights buzzing annoyingly. Its empty, save for a couple cars belonging to a few of the security guards, and the car Peter shares with his aunt.
It's an older model, grey paint chipping and metal beneath rusting near the wheels. Peter talks animatedly beside him, lands flailing in front of him.
Tony glances around them, scowling as he takes in the familiar cement structure.
"Wait," Tony says, just as Peter's pulling the keys from his pocket. They're a couple feet away from the car, and the hairs on Tony's arms and neck stand on end.
"What is it?" Peter asked curiously, reaching for the door handle.
It's just as Peter grips the handle that Tony sees the wire connected to the metal lock on the other side of the glass.
Tony is quick to react, grabbing Peter by the arms and wrenching him away from the door.
Peter yelps in surprise, but its cut out by the sound of a small explosion. Tony braces for the blast of air that knocks the two off their feet, and grits his teeth at the heat that follows.
Peter's pressed against the cement, Tony weighing down on him. His ears ring, but he quickly gets to his feet, unzipping his jumpsuit and grabbing the .9 mm from the waistband of his jeans.
The car is ablaze, crackle-popping and sizzling. Its just the cab thats on fire, but Tony knows its only a matter of seconds before the flames reach the engine and the fuel line.
Tony looks around him, trying to find the culprit -though he knows from experience that the man won't be here.
He grabs Peter by the armpits and pulls him to his feet. Blood smears against his forehead and jaw. His hands and arms are scraped up and Tony can tell his knees are busted too, but it doesn't look like anything damaging.
"We gotta go," Tony urges, already half dragging the younger back towards the building.
"You-you have a gun," Peter gapes, stumbling after Tony, arm in the older's hard grip. "Why do you have a gun?"
Tony reaches the door for the stairwell.
"I'm a hired gun," Tony said, glancing up, then down, gun following his eyeline before pushing Peter towards the stairs going up.
"I thought you were a janitor," Peter gasped, climbing the stairs and swaying. Tony places his free hand on Peter's lower back.
"Thats just a front," Tony confessed. "We got to get you out of here."
"Someone blew up my car," Peter said, panting as they continue up to the first floor. "Aunt May is gonna kill me."
"Not if Buck doesn't kill you first," Tony grunted, pulling Peter out of the stairwell and into the main lobby.
Tony's car is around the side of the building, but its open to attack. Tony can't keep Peter trapped inside the building though, so he risks it.
Their feet slap loudly on the asphalt as they run for the nondescript black SUV Tony had taken to driving.
He checks around the vehicle, under and inside before issuing Peter into the back seat.
Tires screech as Tony peels out of the parking lot.
"What- whats happening? Tony, what- why do-"
"Someones trying to kill you, Peter," Tony said, blowing past the guard tower at the exit of the parking lot.
"But why?" Peter asked dumbly, voice slurring slightly as more blood turns the side of his face crimson.
"I'll answer all your questions when we're safe," Tony promised, eyes frantically shifting from the area ahead of him to the rear view mirror.
Peter must really be feeling the effects of his head slamming into the concrete, because he doesn't protest.
"Lay down," Tony orders, merging into traffic and slowing down. "Lay low until I say."
Peter does -Tony thinks mostly because of his head injury. Tony relaxes a little, knowing the scientist won't be gunned down in the back seat.
"Where are you taking me?"
"Somewhere safe," Tony answered, keeping an eye behind him.
He doesn't see a tail, but he takes a round-about way to his safe house, just outside of Queens.
When they get to the small cabin, Tony checks the building before helping Peter inside.
"I think I have a concussion," Peter mumbles, swaying on his feet as Tony guides him to the kitchen chair.
"I don't doubt it," Tony agrees, setting his gun down on the table beside Peter's elbow before grabbing the first aid kit.
He pulls another chair over in front of the young scientist and opens the red box.
"Let me see your hands," Tony orders. Peter does, palms up. Tony begins to clean them and his arms.
"Tony," Peter says, breaking the silence. Tony doesn't say anything. He reaches up to clean the blood from the side of Peter's cheek.
"Is your name actually Tony?"
Tony makes eye contact before nodding.
"And you're a hired gun?" Peter asks, slightly breathless. "Like, like a hitman?"
"Yes," Tony answers, reaching the cut on Peter's hairline. Peter winces, but doesn't pull away.
"You kill people for a living?"
"Yes."
It takes Peter a couple seconds, but it seems to hit him. Hes bolting to his feet, the chair clattering behind him.
Tony leans back into the chair, watching as Peter begins to pace.
"What- Tony, you have to tell me whats going on," Peter demands, hand on his head. Tony knows from experience that pacing tends to help the scientist expell excess energy.
"I will," Tony nods. Peter continues his pacing. Back and forth beside the kitchen counter.
"Why- why are people trying to kill me?" He demanded. "Who blew up my car?"
Tony sets the paper towels down on the table, knowing Peter won't sit still for him to properly tend to him.
"The one who blew up your car is another hitman," Tony said. "Goes by the name Winter Soldier."
"You called him Buck," Peter said, pointing an accusatory finger at Tony, eyes narrowed.
"I did," Tony nodded. "Hitmen tend to run in the same circles, though we don't always like each other. Bucky was probably hired to finish the job."
"Finish the job," Peter repeated dumbly. "I'm the job?"
Tony nods, once more letting Peter process. He knew Peter would figure it out without Tony's help. He was smart.
"Finish the job means someone already tried to- to kill me," Peter said, panting as he continued to pace. The wound at his hairline is bleeding sluggishly, dripping down his temple and towards his jaw.
Peter wipes at it without thought, smearing blood against his cheek. He pauses to look down at his hand, fingers glistening in red.
He touches his forehead again, as if remembering he's still injured, then turns to Tony, accusation and fear in his Bambi brown eyes.
"You," he said softly, in disbelief. "You were hired to kill me, weren't you."
"I was," Tony nodded.
"But you haven't," Peter said. Tony can practically see the gears turning behind his eyes. "And, and now whoever hired you hired the Winter Soldier."
Tony only nods. Peter takes a shuddering inhale and has to grip the counter with a bloody hand to stabilize himself.
"I'm- I'm- who- who would want to-to kill me?!"
"The payment was anonymous," Tony said. "Thats how it works. But whoever it is is threatened by you."
Peter looks at Tony incredulously. "Me? Why me? I'm the least threatening person -like- ever!"
"You've cost Big Pharma millions with your insulin," Tony said. "You've patented it, so they can't take it and upcharge the way they've been doing. And if your treatment for cancer is a success, you'd be costing them even more."
Peter takes a moment to process that before he nods. "Right, yeah. I knew I was going to make a lot of people mad about that, but. But I never expected anyone to actually try to kill me."
"Money is a powerful motive," Tony said, a little too much experience leaking into his tone.
Peter hears it, because he stops his pacing, shoulders dropping. Exhaustion seems to pull him towards the floor like an anvil tied to his spine.
He sways a little, and Tony's about to offer him the chair again, but he moves to it willingly. When he sits, their knees are barely touching, and he blinks dazedly at his bloody hand.
Tony grabs a clean rag and leans forward to clean up the blood from Peter's head. The younger lets him, still processing and no doubt sluggish from the concussion.
"Why didn't you?" Peter asked after Tony had taped gauze to his hairline. It was patchy and poorly done, but it would help.
"Why didn't I what," Tony hummed, using an alcoholic wet wipe to clean the remaining blood from Peter's hands. The boy winces at the burn to his scraped palms.
"Kill me," he said, swallowing thickly. "You had plenty of opportunity."
Tony sighed, setting the wipes down before leaning forward and looking Peter in the eye.
"Because I believe in the work you're doing," he said honestly. "And I'm going to make sure you finish it."
Peter blinks once, twice, before breaking eye contact and sighing, body eating to melt into the chair as the air leaves his lungs.
"Come on," Tony said, standing up and slipping the gun into the waistband of his pants. Then offering his hand. "This place is safe. Theres a bed you can sleep in."
"I shouldn't sleep with a concussion," Peter said weakly, taking Tony's offered hand anyway.
"Its mild, I'm sure you'll be fine," Tony mused, heading deeper into the cabin to the bedroom.
The bedroom isn't anything special. A twin bed in the corner, a four drawer dresser and a blackout curtain.
Peter climbs onto the bed, not bothering with the covers or taking his shoes off. Tony thinks its best he sleep with them on anyway, in case Bucky finds them.
Tony moves to leave, grabbing the handle, and Peter bolts upright again, eyes wide.
"You're okay," Tony promises. "I'll be right outside."
Peter gives the barest shake of his head. "Stay here, please," he says softly.
Tony nods, shutting the door and turning off the light before making his way to the side of the bed. Theres an old step stool there, and he sits down at the head of the bed.
Peter lays back down, body too tense to ever fall asleep. Tony keeps his ears attuned to any noise that could alert him to Bucky, or anyone else, gun sitting perfectly stop on his knee, finger off the trigger, but ready at a moments notice.
"Tony?"
"Yes, Peter."
Peter shuffles around, and Tony turns his head just in time to feel pillow soft lips connect with the corner of his mouth.
He can't help but smirk as Peter settles back down. "Thanks for not killing me."
Tony chuckles at that, leaning his head against the wall. "I may be a hitman, but I've got morals," he says into the dark room. "Besides, nobody likes cancer."
Peter laughs tiredly at that before reaching his hand out and grabbing Tony's. Their fingers interlock, and Tony doesn't really know which one of them initiated it.
"You're going to be okay," Tony continued. "I wont let anyone hurt you. You're safe with me."
"I know."

Mist Memories
Leo Valdez x reader for his birthday ahhhh (even though it's angsty) with a platonic/developing jason x reader cameo at the end (lmao im sorry i couldn't help myself 😭)
Based on this picture I found in pinterest + also [kinda] based on traitor by olivia rodrigo and omg i really recommend u guys listen to this edit because it reminds me so much of this fic that's been stuck in my head for MONTHS also kind of a run away with me prologue lol
Tumblr media
Your POV
I nervously made my way across the forest until I reached a limestone cliff. I knocked on the iron door, not really expecting to get an answer.
My boyfriend has been shutting himself in Bunker 9 for the past few weeks. I stood there counting up to seven before knocking again. I knocked again two more times, until he answered in the middle of my last knock.
He removed his goggles and winced as sunlight hit his eyes. He'd grown thinner and paler, making the dark circles in his eyes more pronounced.
"Oh, Leo..." I reached out to brush a few strands of hair away from his face, but he moved away.
"What are you doing here?" He said in a monotone voice.
I moved to walk inside the Bunker, brushing off his hesitation to let me in. "I'm your partner, remember? And I'm really concerned because you're shutting yourself out lately. You know everyone's starting to worry about you. Percy asked me to check on you because you missed pegasus riding with him. Oh, and I'm pretty sure Jason's coming back from Camp Jupiter soon. I was hoping you and Annabeth could be with Piper while Percy and I hung out with Jason because it's been a little awkward since their breakup. Plus Piper wanted to tell you something—"
"Please," he said forcefully causing me to stop and look at him. "Just... Get out."
Normally, he'd shut himself from the world for a few days to work on an important project or because he was feeling really sad and he needed space. But this was getting out of hand. He had never locked me out of his life when I offered to help him. He was never this mean when he asked for space. I was not having this attitude of his.
"Okay, Leo. I tried to play nice. What is so important that you blow off all your friends for nearly a month that you can't even tell your partner, or maybe say hi to your best friend who's coming back from the other side of the country?"
He didn't say anything. He pursed his lips and avoided eye contact. I scanned he room for any signs.
It was messier than usual with all the crumpled paper scattered on the floor, especially on his desk. He could have been drawing up new plans. Something in my gut told me that something wasn't right. There were no new unfinished projects, indicating that he wasn't starting a new invention. Harley's helicopter lay on his bench in the same state it was weeks ago. Huh, not even his siblings could enter the Bunker.
I turned and Leo was already changing Festus' oil. I took this moment of distraction to pick up a few pieces of crumpled paper on the floor and on his desk. I had to process the words a bit longer—too long that Leo took notice. Damn dyslexia.
I heard footsteps speed up behind me, but it was too late. I read enough and got the gist of what he had been trying to do these past few weeks.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" He yelled at me. Small embers started to erupt between his curls.
I laughed dryly. "So this is what you've been up to?"
His fists tightened, further crumpling the paper in his hands. His eyes flashed with anger, despair and confusion.
I sighed and focused my eyes on his desk, not daring to look at him any longer. Under some pieces of paper were old photographs of him and Piper from Wilderness School. Yup, those definitely were the mist memories she had with Jason. I read the latest draft he'd been writing:
Dear Piper,
Remember the mist memories from boarding school with Jason? They were real, but they were with me.
I miss you. I miss when it was just us. I miss the night on the roof.
Yours truly,
Leo Valdez
I tried to keep my voice from cracking. "How long?"
I heard him sigh. "Three weeks."
I balled my fists. Tears started to fall and smudge the ink. I wiped them away as fast as they came.
"How?"
"In a dream," his tone softened now. "Hera came to me in a dream and told me to check an old drawer in Bunker 9. I found the photos and the memories came rushing back."
"How long were you dating back then?"
"Two weeks."
"Were you ever going to tell me?"
Silence; then a deep breath.
"No."
I shook my head in disbelief. "Why?"
"Because I knew you'd get upset like—"
"I meant why would you throw away months of our relationship for a couple of weeks of your relationship with her? And without even bothering to tell me? Gods damn it, Leo. We've been together since you've first arrived at camp. And what about those promises you made when we were sailing to Greece? You've been keeping these feelings away from me and you've been lying to me, making me believe that there's still something between us and—"
"Oh, calm down," he said with an annoyed expression and tone, which only infuriated me more, "it's not like I did anything were her yet! I didn't kiss her or tell her how I truly felt for her! She just got out of a relationship with Jason around the same time I had that dream. I had to figure out how to talk to her about it. I've been alone in this Bunker for three. Fucking. Weeks. I didn't cheat on you."
"Oh, and that makes everything better?" I countered. "Being in a relationship isn't about not cheating, Leo. It's about being honest and communicating with each other."
"Oh, like you've been communicating with me? After the war, you take go back to Manhattan for school, and you take a job. I haven't seen you much during the holidays because work has been keeping you in the city. And you won't tell me what you even do for a living!"
I took in a deep breath. "I told you I needed to have a life outside of camp! I needed to know first that I could handle myself in the mortal world as a normal human being. I needed this demigod part of my life to be separate as much as possible! I've been in two wars, Leo. I needed time to myself, too. And I was about to tell you guys in a few more days. But I guess now, I'm glad I've kept you out of that part of my life. At least I have an escape from all of this. And now, especially from you."
I took another deep breath and walked to the door, about to let myself out. I turned back again, both our tear-stained eyes meeting each other.
"If it makes you feel any better," I said softly, "I would've hated the idea of us breaking up. But if you really love her, if you really feel like you have this special connection to her and she makes you happy, then I won't get in your way. You could at least have had the decency to talk to me so we could have left on a good note."
He looked at me with wide eyes, clearly regretting his actions. I sighed and looked around the Bunker, possibly for the last time. Lots of memories were definitely created in this room; all just as grand and meaningful as the inventions they made here. But just like some of Hephaestus' contraptions, some of them were flawed and dumped in his scrapyard, no matter how much potential it could have had.
"Goodbye, Leo."
I sat on a rock on the beach that gave me a beautiful view of Long Island Sound. To my left, the sun started to set, casting an orange filter on everything. My heart broke, remembering how everything glowed orange in the Bunker. Leo always left the fires burning when he was working. The sunlight twinkling against the sea reminded me of how small bits of flame peaked through his hair earlier. I remembered how mad he was at me. Or maybe he was mostly mad at himself.
"Hey."
I jumped when someone sat—or rather, landed—beside me. I turned and smiled, seeing one of my good friends back at camp.
"Hey, you're back," I said weakly. "How long have you been here?"
He smiled at me, although he could maybe sense that something was wrong. "Half an hour, maybe? I saw Annabeth making plans to expand camp to have a city. She made me do an aerial inspection and I told her I'll get back to her tonight. That's when I saw you."
"Mhmm," I mumbled, not really knowing what to say. It was silent for a few minutes before I spoke up again, knowing he was just waiting for me to open up.
"I broke up with Leo."
His head quickly turned to me. I guess he wasn't expecting it to be that bad. "What?"
"Oh yeah," I laughed dryly. "Turns out the mist memories Piper had in Wilderness School with you? They were real. But not with you."
His eyes widened. "Oh... With Leo."
"He locked himself in the Bunker for weeks trying to write a letter. It was heartbreaking. Like, truly heartbreaking. He wanted to tell her how much he missed her and how much he missed them. Then he said how much he missed that night with her under the stars and... It hurt. Like hell."
"Oh," he said. "I guess Piper didn't tell me everything then."
"She knew all along?"
He shook his head. "Maybe not everything, but she told me she's been confused about her feelings lately and she'd been having visions or dreams of possible old memories that were messing with her head."
"I'm sorry about you and Piper," I said.
"Don't be," he said. "I understand her. It did hurt, though. But I think I can get over it some day. We're still awkward around each other, but at least we left on a good note."
I scoffed. "Leo couldn't even give me a good ending to our relationship."
"Hey," he said as he put a hand on my shoulder. "You're a great person, y/n. You've done so much, especially for him. It's his loss that he was stupid enough to let go of you."
"I know that."
"Do you really?"
"I do!" I said. "I'm a great person and I know that. But that doesn't mean what he did doesn't hurt me."
"I know," he said. "You'll find someone who'll treat you like the queen that you are. You're a great person, and I'm not just saying this to cheer you up. I truly think you're amazing."
I smiled at him. "Thanks, Jason. And you'll find someone great, too. Maybe not as great as me but, then again, who is?"
We both let out a laugh. The conch sounded in the distance, signaling dinner. I moved to stand up before hearing Jason speak up again.
"Hey, do you maybe want to just grab a couple of plates and eat out here?"
I smiled. "Yeah. That sounds good. I don't really want everyone else hounding me about the breakup right now."
I don't know how long it was going to take me to get over Leo. We really did gave something special. It was cruel how the universe gave me something so good, to make me have hope that something was finally going right, then have it yanked away from my arms just as suddenly as it came.
He never cheated on me, but that didn't mean he didn't betray every promise we made to each other. I should have known it was too good to be true. Life has always played cruel jokes on me.
Then again, who's to say that things won't turn out for the better, right?

Tumblr media
It was exactly five days after my incident, when I heard a small knock on my door. Dinner was supposed to be in an hour and I wasn't really expecting anyone.
„Friday?” I ask the AI while i sit on the bed and close the book I was just diving into. I have to stretch my muscles as I can feel them being a little sore after today's training with Natasha.
„It's Miss Maximoff, ma'am.” Says Friday.
„Let her in.” I nod towards the door as they automatically open and Wanda gives me a small smile even before she steps into my room.
„Are you busy?” She asks me as she leans into the doorframe.
I look at the book that I was trying to read and then back at Wanda: „Well, not really.”
„Cool, get up then. We have some training to do.” She doesn't give me a chance to protest or anything, so with a confused face I get up, grabbed my hoodie and followed her into the gym.
„Where is everyone?” I ask when no one is joining us for the ride in the elevator.
„It's just you and me.” She pressed the button with a small smile on her face.
„What do you mean?” I ask her, confused even more.
„I'm gonna help you with your powers.” She nods at me to assure me that everything's going to be okay.
I don't ask any other questions as her strict and determined face stops me midway.
No one from the team really knew about the training that I was taking with Wanda. She was trying really hard, we were taking baby steps, which as we realized after a week, really made progress. I was able absorb and hold the energy in my right hand, but that was where it ended. Even after a couple days I wasn't able to move from there, it was all I could do. Wanda was really supportive and was telling me that we already made a really big progress, but I was growing restless and annoyed. I felt unmotivated, we made such a great progress and now I was stuck.
„Let's leave it.” Says Wanda as she interrupts my hard trying. „Dinner is gonna be in five, we have to go.” She tried again, when she realizes that I want to try again and push my powers to the edge, which would probably end up, once again, catastrophically.
I sighed annoyed and angry at myself as I let my hand fall back to my side.
Wanda tries to smile at me as we walk towards the elevator. But I'm still mad at myself so I punch the button a little too much and she backs up a little.
„I haven't seen Clint for a while.” I say suddenly as we are two stories away from the common room. He wasn't in the gym with us for at least four days.
„I feel like he is on some kind of mission or something.” Says Wanda as we both step out from the elevator and then we continue our way silently. We walk through the hall before we realize that someone is really loudly arguing in the dining room.
„… We don't really know, we lost contact a while ago.” I hear Bruce's voice.
„And you are telling us now, why exactly?!” I hear Natasha's voice with a hint of something I haven't heard from her yet. She was panicking.
„We weren't sure if he didn't do it on purpose, maybe because he didn't want to jeopardize the mission.” Explains Bruce.
A long pause in their conversation is when I realize that both, me and Wanda, has stopped in our tracks, quietly listening to their conversation.
„Alright, tonight we will go to the last coordinates we heard from Clint.” Says Steve suddenly. „There is no need for the whole team to be there. It will be me, Pietro and Natasha, of course.”
„Maybe you could take Andreea.” Says Tony out of nowhere.
„Have you lost your mind?” Growl Steve as he is starting to lose his temper. „Do you even understand how much damage she could do and how much of a civilist we would put into danger if she would have lost her control?” I can feel Wanda's hand as she squeezes my shoulder quietly.
„And we also don't know how dangerous it could be for her.” Adds Natasha.
„Alright, alright… I get it, calm down, old man.” Admits Tony. Weird, from him I would expect much more fighting for something he wants.
„Okay, it's going to be quick. In and out, that's it.” End Steve the whole conversation.
Me and Wanda stayed quiet in the hall for a moment before we step into the room, like we just didn't ears dropped to their whole argument.
Even though all of them really tried, the atmosphere was thick and could have been cut with a knife. Bucky and Sam were really reserved and I haven't heard any of them have any snarky comments towards each other and Pietro was weirdly silent the whole time. I didn't know how close he and Clint were until Wanda told me that they both always have each other's back and that they are the initiators of most of the pranks on the rest of the team.
After dinner I make my way to the kitchen to help Wanda with the dishes but Tony grabs my forearm really quickly and steals me away from everyone. He drags me by arm into one of his labs, where Bruce is already waiting.
„What's going on?” I ask right away as I rub the place on my arm where Tony was gripping my arm.
Both of them exchange a nervous look before Tony starts talking: „I sent Clint on the mission, because that hideout is supposed to be filled with information about technology that I won't be boring the little head of yours.” I frown at him. „It's complicated and definitely not important at the moment. We think he is being held hostage, which we will leave to the rescue team upstairs.” He nodded up towards the place where dining was. „But you…” He points his finger at me. „I want you to bring me these folders, because if they fall into bad hands… you have no idea in what mess we will be.” He nods at. „Like total mess, probably like fall of our governments and total chaos on earth kind of mess, get me?”
„Yeah, I think I do.” I nod a little taken aback with all this.
„Don't worry, Andreea, I know this all is new for you, but Tony is right. If it's gonna fall into the wrong hands we would be screwed.” Adds Bruce.
„So these folders… They are really really important then?” I ask once again, as I'm not sure if I want to stand against Captain in that and ruin the fragile bond, that is almost non existing, but is there somewhere between us. „But I have never done anything like this… I'm not even sure I know how-...”
„You won't be alone.” Interrupts the voice of the silver haired man, that just appeared in the doorway.
„Why am I not surprised.” I shake my head. „Why can't we tell the others?” I ask all three of them.
„Well… Natasha would want to get Clint home no matter what it costs and Rogers is… Well, Rogers.” Explains Tony.
„Plus Tony made some accessories for that he would like to see in action.” Adds Bruce.
„Yeah, that's true as well.” Smiles Tony. „I saw how you and Wanda trains, so I made you a uniform. Friday, please…” He call for the AI, that opens a wall where the uniform appears on hangers. Basic black unitard, nothing special, strengthened in places like knees or spine.
„Well this is mostly an armour so no one shoots you dead.” Says Tony, like he just didn't assume someone will be probably shooting at me. „But look at… this.” He grabs a huge box where a large knives are lying. „Look at the grip, it's made exactly for you and your powers, you can absorb your energy and then let it flow into the knives, so it became a deathly weapon whenever you want.”
„They seem deathly to me, even without my powers.” I mumble quietly.
„They look sharp as hell.” Nods Pietro.
„Well you are both right.” Admits Tony. And then he takes one knife out and makes his way towards the uniform. „And by the way, they are made exactly to fit into your uniform.” He shows me how the knives stick into the places thanks to the strong magnets. „But it has a lot of things and technologies I installed, which you will get along with when you start using them. We don't have time for that now.” Says Tony and a long silence stretches across the room.
Pietro looks at me with a huge grin on his face.
„Let's kick some asses then?”
