The city of Townsville. Your hometown, and birthplace of Green Death. a band that had just hit it big. Meaning the members had a newfound stardom to abuse— enjoy.

That being said, they were back in the city after their latest tour. Which meant you could finally spend quality time with your boyfriend, the bassist of the band. However he was nowhere to be seen.

He'd told you that he would make it back for dinner at seven. Of course you knew that really meant nine or so. But nine o'clock came and went. As the time crept to eleven you began to worry. You took to pacing in the living room, hoping for just a single call. One call and you would be okay.

Maybe you should ring his friends? You thought as you dragged your fingers down your arms.

Briiiing briiiing briiing. The telephone cried for your attention. Finally something. Fast as a fash you picked it up.

"Ace?" You asked hopefully.

"Yeah its me doll," Came his static-y reply.

Immediately relief flooded through your system.

"Look I'm sorry I ain't called no sooner but I got caught up in somethin' and you know how it goes"

Caught up in something? That had to be the lamest excuse he could've come up with.

"Whatever you say babe, when are you getting back home?" You twisted you fingers around the phone cord. At the moment youd been to relieved to give him hell for the worry.

"Ey I dunno, one?" He paused, "Maybe two."

Two in the morning? That was another four hours away!

"Leave the door unlocked will ya toots? I forgot my key."

"Don't bother, he won't be coming home tonight, because he's sleeping with me." A low sultry voice said before you could get a word in.

You were shocked into silence for a minute. Meanwhile silently Ace chastised whoever she was. To which she only laughed mockingly.

"Who the hell is that!?" You finally sputtered once you were composed again.

"Who her? No one forget it, listen I'll see ya sooner than you can say keep it green." His words came out fast and jumbled. Like a kid who was caught up after bedtime.

"Ace–"

"Love youse too, miss ya already. Bye."

With that the line went dead. And for a second you only stood there. Complete silence taking over the living room. It didn't last long before you slammed the phone into the receiver, over and over.

You were being cheated on. Again. You threw yourself onto the sofa. Hundreds of thoughts ran through your mind.

How could Ace do this to you? Who was she? Did he still love you? What would you say to him? Should you leave? How long has he been cheating again?

All the while a familiar burning filled your chest as the betrayal set in. Your thoughts all trickled into one. This relationship was over once and for all.

You could already see yourself packing your things. Being ready to walk out long before your ex came back. But you'd stay long enough to tell him you wouldn't change your mind.

The smallest of smiles crept onto your face. You'd never even have to see him after.

However your eyes started to droop. You sunk deeper into the couch. Exhaustion finally began to catch up to you. But that was fine, a quick nap would help you if anything.

Your thoughts slowed as you gave way to a deep sleep. It's not like you'd sleep too long on accident.

You blinked awake groggily, gentle rays of sunlight greeted you. After a few more minutes of enjoying the warmth of your bed you sat up. Rubbing away any remaining sleep in your eyes.

When you finally remembered that you'd fallen asleep on the couch with plans to leave early morning you deflated.

"Well ain't that a bitch" you sighed.

You should've known better than to think you'd actually wake up in time. Hastily you threw the covers back. Maybe your chance to leave dramatically fell through but that didn't mean you changed your mind.

Harshly you pulled the door open. But you faltered when you smelt something cooking. Ever so slowly you crept to the kitchen. Peaking in you saw Ace cooking, something he rarely did after setting fire to water one day. Yet there he was, wearing an apron and not ruining pans.

When he noticed you watching him his entire face lit up. He threw a top over whatever hed been making before pulling you into a tight hug. You didn't return it.

"Ace we need-"

"You know I'm sorry about last night," He cut in, loosening his grip to look at you "But it really wasn't my fault either!"

You deadpanned at him. Where did he even get the nerve to say that? Not his fault my ass.

But you humored the thought. "Why didn't I think of it like that?" You spat sarcastically "Please tell me how I can help you keep it in your pants!"

"Fer starters about next time I hit the town you come with me?" Sarcasm was ahead of him you supposed.

"I knew you'd see it my way doll." He left a light peck on your forehead and released you before you could get a word in.

You watched him walk back into the kitchen, slightly dumbfounded by what he said. It wasn't your fault was it? You followed him into the kitchen, taking a seat at the island while he kept cooking. Leaning your head against your hand you watched him work.

As your eyes followed him around the kitchen you realized he was making your favorites. Something he did when he was in trouble. It made you smile softly. Maybe you were overreacting. Ace was a good boyfriend. When he remembers to be at least.

But with the bands success you couldn't blame him for the thoughtlessness. Not entirely. Maybe you were overreacting. You just had to take his offer to go more places with him. Even if it meant obnoxiously large crowds of annoying people and a lot of parties.

He'd do the same for you. So you'd forgive him this time. Though the dull ache in your heart almost made you think twice. But it would get better, everything would be better than before.

The war between the family names of the martial world spreads like a disease across the land. If it wasn't the slaughtering if the Wen's years ago on the masses, it's the torture of anyone with promise of the dark arts by the leader at Yunmeng. For now, it's not so bad the closer you are to a central family like Jin, Lan, or Nie because of the prosperity and closeness to the three head honchos.

But war never changes and whatever is in human nature that dictates them to push others around, always rears its head eventually. Especially near small towns or cities on the outskirts of civilization where lawful officials are harder to come by, if their there at all.

The deaths in the town just two hours to the south of the inn you were staying at were piling up and the miniscule evidence of who it could be was making you antsy from when your group left to travel there.

Lan Zhan suspects political intrigue, but you wave that off as just a basic theory. Wei Ying hums in agreement with Lan Zhan, because of how the two dead officials in the morgue seemingly were rivals to people still alive. You shrug that off too, much to Lan Zhan's irritation.

Your party was that of your dear Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan, two people you trusted greatly and with your whole heart to be able to stand at your side. Wei Wuxian has always been praised for his strategic mind and his very successful plans, and you can definitely agree with that. Lan Zhan is always praised for his poise and steady hands, being very reliable on the field. You can't deny either of these.

Lan Zhan also agrees with how Wei Wuxian creates good plans, and so you both leave it to him to create a baseline blueprint before you come back with what he needs.

Taking off into town with your share of the lists, you head right for the districts that surround your area of gathering and quickly get all your shopping done. Sure, you maybe didn't haggle very well in your rush and you might have paid nearly all of the full price for everything, but it was worth it!

Worth it, how exactly? For you to go ahead and scout the area that Wei Ying was left to plan for. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead of time and scout out the area, yes?

Wrong. It had been a bad idea.

Getting to that area had lead to you tripping the traps of the town to the south, and the light it gave off could be seen for miles and miles in the darkness of the night. The late night sky, which caught the whole inns attention, became alive in alarm all around the two remaining cultivators. Of course, because of your elongated absence, your parnters began to worry.

Mostly, Wei Wuxian, who had already scouted the woods ahead of time in the daylight.

You sneaking back into the inn after the more paranoid people are swarming the garden to watch the light show is easy. Explaining what you did, with how your not exactly pleased with what you did yourself, was hard. Your adrenaline was running, and so was Wei Wuxian's.

Sleep deprivation, adrenaline, and indignation do not mix well.

"Why didn't you come back to the inn? We have a plan in mind and I could have told you the forest was trapped!" Wei Wuxian demands an answer.

You spit back at him, with venom. "It's a simple mistake, and we always have overlapping knowledge anyways! What would me going to the town be so bad?"

"Because it was trapped." He stresses. "I have a map of all the traps we were supposed to take down early in the morning, so we could double-check them."

Of course, Lan Zhan tries breaking this up and calming you both down. But the scene you both were making ended faster then his indecision could shake off...

"Fine then, if these traps are so difficult to handle and it'll need three cultivators all night... I'll prove it! I'll prove I could have done it tonight, myself." Your declaration is met with you picking up your satchel of supplies, the map of traps, and marching back out of the inn. "By morning, these traps will be gone!"

From the banister, Wei Wuxian calls to your back, "No, the traps aren't the problem, it's the fact all the traps are made like... flares..."

But you already left, ignoring both of your partners watching you from the banisters. They don't go after you because of your temper, and the knowledge that you often need time to yourself. For now, all the sleep deprived Wei Wuxian can do is hope you'll be back by morning. Lan Zhan decides on giving you three hours to calm down.

Three hours of rest, and they'll go looking for you.

Running through the forest and passing by multiple cut and defused wires and strings for the flares, Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan are quiet as the former leads them to the town ravaged by war. The traps were clear all the way up to the town...

Once they make it there, they see signs of a struggle and obvious signs of unrest from the town. Swordsman from the clan they were trying to abolish from the city were sprawled out, dead or dying across the ground and isles of towers around the town. Civilians were mostly unharmed, but it was obvious they had suffered greatly for years.

By the time that they could find any trace of you as a person, it was your outer robes given to an older man who carried his own sword. He looked winded, leaning across the wall, but he looked very much full of vigor.

Stopping quickly, Wei Wuxian helped the man sit on the ground as he asked the important question: "What happened here?"

The old man answers. "It was nearly the dead of night and the curfew had begun for the town, when the old families magic traps set off flares of light into the sky and blinding the town. They were always inconvenient things, the lot. A man came out of the woods not two hours ago and started killing the old family with no mercy. The man was like a savior to this old town..."

He looks at his old sword. "The man was obviously tired by the time he got here, and I could tell he was tired. Injured as well. My family gave him medicine before more guards came. I tried protecting him, but he threw his jacket on my back, and ran off into the city. I don't know where that young man is now..."

Wei Wuxian becomes quite anxious as the story continues and Lan Zhan has to keep his arm across his partner to keep him calm. After thanking the old man, they leave him be as they run into the center of town.

"What if he's not alive and we find his body amongst soldiers?" Wei Wuxian panics. "Why didn't he listen to me? I didn't call him anything, but I know how he feels about being corrected... Did I say anything rude Lan Zhan?"

"No. He is prideful,and hasty. But he is resourceful. We have to trust him." Lan Zhan answers back, believing in your skills fully.

"I trust him." Wei Wuxian worries. "I don't trust this place! He's all alone, somewhere!"

Lan Zhan could tell the tiredness, anxiety, and fear was running Wei Ying to anxious ramblings. "Wei Ying. Trust him."

"Of course, of course... Trust him... Trust him..." Wei Wuxian repeats to himself, before muttering to Lan Zhan. "But if he is dead..."

Lan Zhan can hear it coming, and the thought of your fierce corpse didn't settle his own nerves at all. "Wei Ying."

"I know... I know..."

Getting to the town center has Lan Zhan drawing Bichen on the remaining soldiers that were trying to break into their own stronghold. The main house of the old family was mostly wooden with faded red lacquer across the floors and columns. A family of old money obviously wasn't living much longer in the city, as Wei Ying can see the old and children running for the gates. They weren't who they were here for, and nobody in town was attacking anyone outside of armor anyways.

Playing his tune for resentment, he gives orders for armor to be torn and the old family to be pushed from the city. Nothing more, nothing less. This whole process takes about thirty minutes, and they the fierce corpses fall back to the ground once they came.

Cutting their way into the second floor through the paper screens with Bichen was tense and bitter, and seeing soldier and soldier dead on the ground wasn't giving them much more hope...

... Until, they could hear the sound of tearing and grunts. Running there, they come into the room where you had found the families medicine stockpile and began dressing your wounds.

They ran over as fast as possible, chests lightening from the sight of you alive and moving. Lan Zhan takes over cleaning and dressing your leftover wounds as Wei Wuxian nearly falls as he sits beside you.

Wei Wuxian, tired in his voice and body, in no less sincere: "I'm so sorry we had a fight, we should be in bed right now... Why did you want to prove yourself so bad? You know we believe in your skills."

You answer with a wince at the medicine. "I get antsy... when war is around the corner. I can't stand to think of this town going another day with the old family that lives here, and our commissioners are so close to storming the town. I don't like innocent lives potentially getting killed..."

"But you ran in alone, how can one man protect the innocents in this city as he's killing the old family?" Wei Wuxian asks, still with worry deep in his voice.

His worry wears you down, and you look almost sheepish and sad. "I... believed you both would follow me eventually. I know I'm rash. It was a dumb train of thought, I know, because you look absolutely exhausted, Wei Ying... But I do care for you. I'm sorry..."

It was Lan Zhan who spoke up next. "And we, you. Wei Ying couldn't stop worrying about you on the way up here."

You tease him in good nature. "Lan Zhan, you weren't worried about me?"

Lan Zhan hums in a negative, before he answers you. "I know you could do it. Everyone from the old family is either old or young. No between."

"Wait... So everyone in armor is basically old men and women?" You question, and something almost clicks in your mind. "... So that means our targets..."

"Escaped. Probably after the first flare." Lan Zhan answers.

"Fuck..." Both you and Wei Wuxian groan, but at least you rest upon each other's shoulders as Lan Zhan finishes your wounds. Lan Zhan sits on your remaining open side, and also leans on you too. A little rest, is in order.

is so mf good and so real like it’s giving skins it’s giving what euphoria tries so hard to do but with actual good writting storyline plot and acting and actors everything really at least like euphoria they have hot and pretty actors! they are all so gorgeous wtf wait I know they gonna make Mia and that blonde a thing but she’s giving lesbian or bi vibes bc she likes the party guy said he was the cutest guy but could that just be comphet honestly it would be so nice if she was lesbain but she probably isn’t they’ll make bi she’ll get the dark skinned girls guy in typical netflix fashion bc why would anyone ever in the minds of netflix pic the black girl over the mixed/biracial or ambiguous girl so yeah we definitely not getting Mia and the pretty girl she saw dancing sadly I’m calling it now on ep1!

Honestly since it’s giving skins and good writing and amazing complex compelling characters storyline plot like skins they might actually suprise even if it’s a Netflix like I’m give it the benefit of the doubt the writers bc they can’t have written such good ep1 and such characters just to be typical bs Netlfix drama not just after seeing ep1 even tho I know it’s Netflix and they’ll disappoint me deeply ‪even tho I have zero expectations for them they’ll still manage to disappoint me so bad‬ like they always do let’s give the writers a chance and not Netlfix bc they just streaming ‪didnt make it and its British show ‬ it in a give it one chance before I say another same old same Netflix bs plot and trope and ending! One benefit of the doubt chance and that’s it! I trsut the writers the characters and the storyline bc it’s been so good just this one Ep.

We didn't have to wait for ex aid we find out he survives in the next episode. No word yet on the third car explosion however

When I describe a character as "running into traffic" what I mean is that they're prone to reckless self endangerment, generally for the sake of other people, but he did die tragically on a car so I guess it was more literal than intended

He definitely did pass away emotionally in Gorochans arms but it happens offscreen and we get a poignant scene of Gorochan carrying out his final wishes instead. Also I feel bad now for saying he didn't deserve a beautiful emotional death scene he kind of tones down the bastardry towards the end of the show. Sorry to yaoi man for it

Well he was definitely more upset about it than his outward behaviour towards Shinji throughout the whole series would have you expect. Classic Ren move to only express how important someone is to you when they're bleeding out on someone's Toyota Camry

Thank god the shinjiless world never became real... Literally uninhabitable circumstances. He didn't kill Shinji but I'm sure he's got a beautiful helping of survivors guilt on there. Also I think it's ambiguous whether or not he remembers Shinji in the new timeline or if they just get deja vu when they bump into each other

He didn't do this at that point in time but he did show up in the corner a lot throughout the show. Also he wasn't really the one who got into the psychological experiments... he mostly just says tatakae

Books that suprised me with how good they were:

The Subtweet by Vivek Shraya

It was my first time reading fiction from her and I really enjoyed it! But I know these kinds of novels (detransition baby & little fish by Casey Plett would be same category I think) about lgbt ppl/trans women struggling with their lives and dealing with bigotry with ambiguous/sudden inconclusive endings aren't for everyone, but I tend to enjoy them

This one was about trans women of colour in the music scene in Toronto

And I enjoyed it way more than I thought I would considering twitter plays a big role in the plot lol

Uzumaki by Junji Ito

Just because I had recently read a few of his books that didn't make much of an impact. It was nice to be reminded of how good his writing can be.

One Piece

Read the first 52 volumes (🫣) for the first time this year. Just wanted to commit to reading a long ongoing series BC I thought it would be good for my mental health (it has been!) and ended up enjoying it way more than I expected to

Ok this one is a MESS but I like messy murder mystery/thrillers. The premise/first few chapters did not seem great to me but really enjoyed it once the main character reaches middle school. But again it's a mess. A lot going on. Reincarnation. Murder mystery. Children in the entertainment industry. Stalking. Fake dating. Reality tv dating show arc??

Book #70 - Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

(first time read. gods, save me from these idiots.) ON A BEACH???!???? Guys. I cannot count the ways in which shagging on a beach is the worst idea either of you has ever had, apart from becoming parabatai. And even with that to scale to, it is a very close second. Public Service Announcement: Never, ever, do it on a beach. Especially not after you just almost drowned. I mean what the fuck guys. You didn't even have a blanket with you. Or a tent. I know this is a minor thing to harp on for so long, but I yelled "on a beach??!?!" continuosly, for about five minutes straight, so I thought it should be reflected in the post. Anyway. I dont think I care much for either Emma or Julian... aside from occasionally yelling at them. Like, I think I cared, in the past, in the beginning of the book, but their sub plot is just so slow and exhausting and literally everyone around them is more interesting, and maybe excessive jealousy and borderline obsessive love are just... not my jam, and- Well, okay, I care a little bit about Julian, but only where it relates to his family and his mountain of responsibility. This kid is gonna collapse before he reaches twenty-five and I look forward to seeing it happen. The plot just kind of passed me by. At multiple points I actually closed the book and just laughed, because what was even going on anymore? "okay, we just had... a very strange, very sudden whipping scene that just kinda threw the tone off-track and into a ditch.... what's next on the... oh, Malcom. Malcom is the.... yeah, fine, sure, whatever..." It simultaneously had me stop caring, but also had me feeling like I had to slog through even more madness than if I did care? This book was all over the fucking place. Also, who allowed these books to get so loooong.... I can take 400 or even 500 pages of this YoungAdult popcorn style of writing, but at 600+ I start to feel like my brain is being put through a sodastream. Lastly, I should probably highlight that I don't hate it. There are brightspots, there are definitely things I find fun and intriguing. I like the Wild Hunt, for example. Both as a concept, and every Hunter introduced thus far (which... two and a half isn't a high number, but still). I don't even know if I'll ever get Kieran back as more than a cameo for a hundred or two pages, but I would like him to go through the rest of the really cool redemption/ambiguous good guy arc started at the end here. But also, if that actually were to happen, I don't want it to take away from his fae nature. Like.... gimme kickass diplomat Kieran, but don't domesticate him. Does that make sense? Apart from that... Ty is my fav, no suprises there. Followed by Kit (I mostly love his attitude rn), then Livvy, and then either Christina or Mark, I'm not sure. And then probably Kieran. I am hooked on popcorn once more, even though I already feel slightly nauseous. There is something about the writing that just... disengages me to a weird degree while still forcing me to keep reading. As I said... popcorn. Only occasionally tastes as good as you want it to, but you binge the whole bowl anyway. And, just to reiterate: on a beach????!?

Me ranting about french animation

As a great connoisseur of french animation, I wasn't even one tiny bit suprised that "The bad guys" 'director was french for multiple reasons

1 the car race scene that is short and emphasizes characters rather than speed and cinematography

2 no pretentious moral or psychological manipulation to make you take sides as pixar movies do

3 it focuses a lot on world building well written witty screenplay to make characters feel real rather than the plot

4. inventive art style

However, what I dislike about french animation (which is not found in this movie)

1 sometimes they can be too personal to the point it can be disturbing

2 It's rather about the movie experience than the final conclusion that is usually very ambiguous or deprived of any moral

3while the ending is usually not pretentious, it is not the case with the premise.

4The villian is usually either redeemed at the end or is more of a concept than a character . The theme of forgiving others and oneself is prominent in all the movies. I don't hate it but as I said when the project become too personal, there are some actions than can be questionnable to a side of the audience. To sum up, it either has a happy go lucky villian conclusion or an extremely frustrating one

5 characters sometimes seem to walk in circles. Some parts can be easily deleted since they don't add anything interesting to the plot, just self indulgent animators and writers flexing.

Of course this rant doesn't mean much now since there has been a huge french brain drain for those last years. Now, I find some french animation qualities in many american movies (mostly dreamworks productions) but I can't find those drawbacks.

Even as frustrating as they can be, I did find them quite charming.

Harry is cleaning their study when he comes across the small silver vial. The label is written in Draco’s tight font: Lucius Malfoy Casts Love Curse on H. Potter and D. Malfoy, Security Camera Footage. Harry stands for a second looking at it with a fond smirk. They’d never caught Lucius so they didn’t know what he’d been aiming for with the curse but Harry is sure it wasn’t this.

“Draco!” He calls as he climbs the stairs to their bedroom. “Look what I’ve found.” He tosses the bottle at Draco who’s curled up fast asleep across the bright white sheets.

 “Harryyyy.” Draco whines squirming a little as he tries to bury his head under the pillow. 

Harry gazes at him. Weak sunlight drifts through the curtains and falls across his pale skin. He looks so relaxed, so at home that Harry’s heart squeezes. He’ll never get tired of looking at him. 

“No seriously Draco get up. I need someone to reminisce with.” He grabs the bottle off the bed and wiggles it in Draco's face. Draco groans and props himself up in a sitting position brushing his long blonde hair out of his eyes. He squints at the bottle for a second. 

“Is this what I think it is? The beginning of our fated romance?” His tone rings of poorly concealed hilarity. 

“Yes,” Harry responds grinning. “I thought we could watch it together. You know. For nostalgia.” 

“Fine alright. I can’t believe you woke me up for this,” Draco complains as he gazes at Harry fondly. 

Harry perches on the bed beside him and accio’s the pensive over. Carefully he upends the swirling silver vial and reaches over to catch Draco’s hand in his own. Together they press their faces into the cool liquid.

Harry’s the first to rip himself from the memory. Eyes wide and hands shaking he waits for Draco to emerge. He stares at Draco’s pale large hands, at his aristocratic posture. He thinks about the way Draco looks in his formal robes, how hard Harry had to work to convince him to grow his hair out because he was worried he would look like his father.

 Harry takes a deep breath as everything clicks into place.

When Draco finally straightens up out of the pensive Harry sees his shock mirrored in Draco’s grey eyes.

“Well,” Draco says slowly, looking at him wryly. “I guess we need to get our hands on a time turner.”

If the filmmakers behind“Lightning Thief”or “Artemis Fowl”adapt “The Tail of Emily Windsnap”...

*WARNING: SPOILERS*

1. Characters will look NOTHING like how they’re described in the book.

2. Terrible CGI. Not because of a low budget, but because they’ll waste the budget on too much stunt casting/product placement/royalties for unoriginal music.

3. Cringey mermaid puns based on pop culture references (unlike the unique mermaid slang in the books)  .

4. Emily’s swim lessons being mandatory (see image below), turning her character-defining choice from the book into a lazy plot contrivance.

5. The kids being aged up to 17 yr olds, in a desperate attempt to bait (pun intended) older viewers, albeit at the risk of losing the kid/tween demographic who made it popular in the first place.

6. The only POCs will be offensive blatant racial stereotypes, and will be either sidekicks or villains. Seriously if you can’t write POC characters right then don’t write them at all (and this ties to my suggestion of Jake being POC-coded, so I fear how they’d portray him)

7. Mr. Beeston will look and act so overtly creepy that his Big Reveal near the end will suprise nobody.

8. Mr. Beeston loses all moral ambiguity. They’ll gloss over his parentage and possibly cut out the start of his redemption arc.

9. The mermen will be all naked (unlike the books) with perfect 6-pack abs for fanservice. Including Mr. Beeston once he transforms. This also means Jake losing his iconic prison uniform.

10. Mary Penelope will be reduced to a dumbass Damsel in Distress, just to make Emily look like the better “stronger” female in comparison (again unlike the books, where each female character is strong in their own way).

11. Mary Penelope will provide the sole fanservice for male viewers--by wearing sexually provocative clothes (high heels, short skirts, etc.) that’s highly impractical and even dangerous for boating. Also likely she’ll have a love scene w/ Jake in a skimpy bikini, even in the freezing open ocean.

12. Mystic Millie will look “ugly” -- a.k.a. not fitting conventional standards of female attractiveness (could mean anything from showing body hair, wearing glasses, being slightly heavier, etc.) -- in order to make audiences take Mary P. more seriously as the female love interest.

13. To appease all the fundamentalist parents complaining about  Mystic Millie’s spiritualism-- her spiritualism will be either written out or written as a complete joke.

14. The mermaids’ playground of sunken wreckage will be a bunch of product placement.

Hajime having a crush on Nagito but he has DID and he's insecure about it

Despite having so many close friends, the one and only person that keeps running in Hajime’s mind is Nagito Komaeda, the ultimate lucky student in his class.Everyone avoids him for his bizarre behavior but not for the brunete however, his way of thinking is the reason why he’s so drawn to Nagito.

He felt so special when Nagito complimented him more than the others. Sure, it's all because of his talent but he soon began to compliment other things about him, making his heart skip a beat.

He was sure this is love, all the signals are there and his classmates didn't teased him for nothing! So he always ends up imagining fake scenarious with Nagito in mind, like them having a future or some sort. Everything seemed to be so fine with all his hangouts until he came in mind.

He is called Izuru Kamukura, his alter. He has every single talent, including hope as well and everyone seems to prefer Izuru over Hajime. This caused him to be insecure and it only gets worse when he remembers what Nagito likes.

Nagito enjoys hope more than anything and according to him, talented people are very hopeful, bonus points it you're hopeful and talented, extra worshipping when your talent is hope itself. So basically there's two problems, he's scared that Nagito will either get weirded out by his disorder or he'll prefer Izuru over him like the others.

Hajime started rather feeling uneasy when talking to Nagito because it seems like Izuru may or may not have caught interest in Nagito though it is only purely platonic. He has no control on when who controls the body so he's always on edge, the last thing he wants to happen is switching to Izuru mid conversation with his crush.

His insecurities are so bad that he started to avoided him. Thanks to a certain douchebag (ahem, J/nko) making fun of him for his disorder, he got more and more fear rushing through him whenever he thinks of Nagito. Who cares about your alter being better than you if people can't even except you for even having such disorder? It depresses him.

The tan man always looked forward to and planned out their little hangouts so when Hajime drops the routine of out nowhere and him barely ever speaking or even leaving his dorm room is very concerning. He, being the good friend he is, have to check on him as holing up to your room for almost 24/7 is bad for your mental as he learned that the hard way. Also, he can use it as an excuse to meet up again with his cute crush.

Hajime is a stubborn man so no matter how much Nagito asked or demanded to open the door, he won't budge. He couldn't muster to see the guy yet and he was just planning on cutting him off of his life completely so this mental pain will end. Nagito had trained asked Monokuma to open the door for him, making Hajime grunt in shame.

Nagito had to force the other to speak up, almost had to put Monomi into the situation but that's enough to catch Hajime off guard and confess, he doesn't want his teacher of all people to know even if she's the understanding type.

Hearing the truth broke Nagito's heart. People are discriminating him because of his disorder!? And the chance of Izuru being favored over because he has every single talent!? Every single talent??... Woah..No! Don't get himself distracted. Nagito hesitantly put his hand on Hajime's shoulder, saying that will not be the case as he sees him and his alter a different person and prefer him because.. He cut himself off due to the answer was technically a love confession.

Hajime could finally take a breather once Nagito manage to prove his words. Even if Izuru is a spectacular person and someone the white haired man would love to finally meet, he still looks forward to meet the brunette just the same.

Once Hajime caught the message that he was finally comfortable again and the usual routine is back in business, he wanted to confess and was planning yo until suprise, Nagito confessed at the same time he was about to send him a cheeky confession love letter. Nagito's luck is something.

No disbarment au

Elaborating on no disbarment au because you guys seem to like the idea.

If you hadn't notice this contains major spoilers for AJ so you might want to skip this one if you haven't completed it.

I came up with it because I don't like sad time skips when the character is fine and then we come back few years later to see that their life was awful when we weren't looking. So Phoenix's life is a bit happier in this. :)

It's gonna be a long post so I'm putting rest under the cut

So back to the au

The starting difference from canon is that Zak Gramarye pulls his dissapearing act earlier so Phoenix doesn't have a chance to present forged evidence.

He doesn't get disbared but his reputation still sufferes becasuse of it and from this moment other attorneys start to consider him as kinda corrupted and theorize that he helped his client dissapear because he knew that he was loosing.

Because Zak is gone Phoenix still decides to adopt Trucy. <333 She still practices her magic acts but she also gets to be Phoenix's co-counsel (we all wanted this to happen)

So Phoenix doesn't have a good reputation but he still gets some cases and he's happy with his daughter

On the other hand Kristoph is pissed. He flunked all that money for nothing. He decides to keep a close eye on Phoenix as he plans revenge.

I really liked his character and his weird "friendship" with Phoenix in the game and I was kinda dissapointed that we've seen him in only two cases. Also Klavier deserves to have more scenes with him too.

So Phoenix still hangs out with Kristoph so he can financialy support Trucy and her magic hobby as a lawyer. But he's careful and tries to keep her away from Kristoph.

In this au Kristoph is more involved. He still becomes "friends" with Phoenix and he seems to be an only attorney around who trusts him after the Gramarye trial. It's still weird between them though and Phoenix senses that Kristoph is up to no good but he needs his support in court and Kristoph also helps him to actually get some cases and clients.

Phoenix still is a very good lawyer but he now has more obstacles to get through in court so he gets a little more jaded and has to always keep a few tricks up his sleeve. He kinda acts like Edgeworth in his demon prosecutor days.

Now enters Apollo - he's the main character in all of this <3

He starts working at Gavin's law office. He often sees Phoenix there because of his relationship with Kristoph. At this point Apollo already heard some rumors about Phoenix and his questionable cases, also Kristoph is really passive-agressive about him to the point where Apollo wonders why these two are still friends.

So Phoenix gets to be all ambiguous and mysterious as Apollo tries to form his opinion on him.

At some point Trucy in typical girl assistant fashion gets involved in a murder case she's a suspect and gets arrested. Phoenix doesn't have a good opinion in court and he doesn't want that to ruin his chances to prove his daughter's innocence. He also doesn't trust Kristoph with this at all. So Phoenix decides to request Apollos help.

Apollo agrees :). If it was a game this would be the first trial so Payne would be a prosecutor in this. Apollo with little help and pep-talk from Phoenix during recess obviously wins :)

Aftter that he hangs out around Wirght law offices more often and he gets to develop a friendship with Trucy. He also gets to talk to Phoenix and is really impressed by his previous cases. He tries to ask about what happened to his reputation but doesn't get obvious answers. Phoenix still is ambiguous and throws some off-hand comments about Kristoph from time to time.

So now Apollo is kinda thorn between two lawyers who constantly trash-talk each other. Except Kristoph is more ominous about this.

When Apollo is around Wright's office, Phoenix points his attention to cases he doesn't want to take because of his reputation so Apollo agrees to help and takes them himself.

And Trucy gets to be his assistant. <333

During this Apollo talks with his mentor Kristoph from time to time and also gets some helpful advices from him.

I'd like to see more of their relationship and more of Kristop being a mentor to Apollo. I think it would be cool and interesting to see this other side of him. The side which seems to be kind and understanding, the reason why Apollo has his opinions in good regard.

So Kristoph tries to act all supportive about Apollo taking cases from Wright but he lets Apollo notice that he's not too happy about it. Kristoph is this kind of ominous presence during those "filler" cases and he says things about Phoenix that make Apollo doubt him a little.

Also Klavier's here. He's a prosecutor in Apollo's cases. And he's just as sweet as in canon.

Apollo at first is suprised to learn that Kristoph even has a brother because Kristoph didn't even mention him much to Apollo. Apollo also gets to see Klavier when he goes to talk with Kristop. So we can see more of Klavier's relationship with his brother.

Klavier If asked, I think would say some nice stuff about his bro and he kinda looks up to him a litte as an attorney. Kristop on the other hand, not so much. He ridicules Klavier's rock star persona when Apollo talks to him about his bro.

Ema is still a detective in this. <333. Because Phoenix didn't get disbared she got to work on some cases with him in the past <33

She's nicer to Klavier because he didn't ruin her friend's career in this. But they constantly get into a playful banter. She also knows Trucy really well because of her being Phoenix's co-counsel in the past cases.

Ema is great and she seems happier in this even thou she didn't want to be detective that much.

Now I'm getting closer to the finish line.

For the last case I envision something similar to Turnabout Goodbyes and Rise from the ashes.

OH NO! Phoenix get's framed for murder! I think Drew Misham would be a good victim in this to tie this nicely to the Zak Gramarye case.

Obviously Kristoph's behind all of this and Phoenix knows this. But he still remains ambiguous and doesn't tell the whole truth about his involvement. Kristoph is free to walk around and is very dangerous so Phoenix worries about Trucy's safety and doesn't want her to get involved in this. He is very careful about what he reveals to Apollo so he doesn't get Kristoph's attention. He is worried what Kristoph might do to Trucy if he puts to much focus on him.

So Apollo and Phoenix's friends try to save him. Apollo does really in depth research and he slowly finds out the truth behind this case and also the Gramarye case and unused forged evidence.

As he's closer to the truth he starts to suspect Kristoph more and more. It's really hard for him to accept because Kristoph was always a good mentor to him. During all of this he still talks with Kristoph who with every conversation seems more and more ominous.

Klavier was chosen as a prosecutor for this trial. He and Apollo face in court but Klavier was also present during investigation parts so he's also torn about his brothers presence in all of this.

Finally everything gets revealed. They confron't Kristoph in court. Apollo wins, Kristoph gets arrested and Phoenix is declared innocent. His reputation is also cleared beacuse everyone found out about what really happened behind the scenes of the Gramarye trial.

Apollo and Klavier are also happy but they both have mixed feelings about Kristoph. He was Apollo's mentor and Klavier's brother. They both held him in high regard and are both shocked that he was able to do something like this. They need some time to deal with it but they have each other and together they are going to work through this. (Yeah, Klapollo <3)

So everyone gets together. Apollo continues working as a lawyer under Phoenix with Trucy often accompanying him as his co-counsel.

And that is the end!

Hound has lots of knives. All are for special things. You notice this and curiously ask them about them. Their hatchet went into the arena with them- a gift from their uncle, as you learned, and was quite cherished. Their hunting knife, one they always had on them, was for catching prey. Another, bigger hunting knife was used to skin the thicker armored creatures, and so forth.

Imagine their surprise when you bit your lip and asked which one you could use for play time. Something that made their gaze turn away from the blade whittling a piece of wood and looking up at you practically twirling your hair and swaying. They gaze at you for a moment, calculating and curious, before a soft huff of a laugh falls from their full lips and they tell you that they do not Yet have a knife specifically for that. You are the first person to ask them of such a thing.

So you get them a gift. You give them a beautiful hunting knife, it’s shiny and black, the handle being of a custom made leather that’s dyed red. You wrapped it up nice for them in a little box, watching their face carefully as they’d taken it out, twisting it in their grip and giving it a toss to catch the hilt.

“A gift for myself, or a gift for you, beloved?” They’d tease, looking up at you from over the rims of their red tinted glasses and watching you smile that little smile that tells them all they need to know.

You get indulged. They stand to meet you, walking you back slowly until your back hits a wall and the blade’s flat edge slowly goes along the curve of your side, all the way up to your neck where the sharp blade is held just a breath away. 

“My sweet, precious little prey,” They’d breathe, obviously getting off on how you whimper and squirm as they smile to reveal their sharp double canines. “Do you want me to hurt you?”

You swallow thickly, your tongue feeling thick like syrup as you whimper out, “Yes.”

“Do you want me to hunt you?”

“Y-yes-”

“Then run. Pray I do not make a meal of you now.”

And you’re off. You know their beloved game of chasing you through the woods off their cottage, knowing all the trails by now of Talos and where the bigger beasts would not be. You scramble through mud, not daring to look back behind you, because you know they’d only give you a small, merciful ten extra seconds to get ahead.

You try, you really do, trying to make it challenging for them by changing directions. But in the end, you should know how determined Hound is to see you made a mess of.

When they tackle you and you go rolling, you try to kick them off, yelping and squirming and managing to wiggle free, but that doesn’t last long. Not when you’re slammed onto your back, your arms yanked above your head with one of their gloved hands and the other holding that shiny new blade to your throat with a snarled, low voice telling you, “Hold still. You do not wish to bleed, do you?”

When you whimper, rolling your hips up into nothing where they rest on your abdomen, you can see their canines again as they grin.

“Good. Now, stick out your tongue. Like a good pet.” Their voice coos, watching as you obey so they can press the flat of the blade on your tongue and croon yet again. “Lick. Show me what your mouth can do, little one.”

And oh, who are you to say no?

Why LANGA X REKI is CANON- a breakdown of important scenes

Okay so ive seen alot of people saying that Sk8 the Infinity is either gonna deliver big or be the biggest queerbait of the year. And they're right.

In all honesty, for langa x reki I kinda expect a cop-out ambiguous ending.

But i dare to dream so here are some reasons its canon:

The confession scene (i can't believe i can write these words in this order)- when Langa's mom asks if he 'likes' that person he says yes, AND BLUSHES. His reaction is important! He's suprised at first, shocked even, if he thought she just meant friendship why would he have that strong of an intial reaction before confirming that yes, he likes them? Of course, when she specifies that she means a girl he's confused bc obvs hes talking abt reki.

This is where people argue that Langa didn't understand the romantic connotation of the "like" bc he's suprised when she suggests girl.

Sure, this could purely be comedy- we know that Langa doesnt understand the nuances of japanese. BUT counter argument: Langa is fr mega gay and this is his coming out scene

Next we have something established at the beginning of the show: BETTING GIRLS ON RACES

While it's pretty misogynistic, how do we see this applied in terms of plot? That's right, Reki is Langa's "girl" and Langa is Reki's "girl" established in the race with ADAM where Reki fights for Langa to not race ADAM and Miya races Langa for Reki to be his dog.

Then we have the "you saved me, Langa" scene. The parallel between ADAM's toxic idea of love (which we now know is even more fucked up) while dual skating and Langa being like nah, thats not how i skate. I litteraly have nothing more to say on that.

There's all the super soft moments between them: like the chest fist bump scene, reki being concerned for Langa's safety, their bonding moment on the bench where Langa talks about his depression after his dad passed, etc

Then we have Langa's love of Reki, most explicitly shown in the latest episode where even the appeal of skating with ADAM (which he broke his promise to do,) means nothing without Reki there. He spends, quite litteraly, the ENTIRE episode trying to connect with Reki and searching for him.

Hell, when ADAM grabs his shoulder and he lights up thinking its Reki, only to find out he's not there and he just :(

Early on when ADAM gives Langa roses for the first time and Reki is like :? "Your gonna accept that?" Hints at Reki possibly being a bit jealous.

Just the whole shows metaphor of skating being a thing done out of love. Evident in ADAM's abusive love and thus his skating is violent. Contrasted by Reki's earnest love of the "sport" (his earnest love in general is just supportive) and Langa falls in love with skating BECAUSE of Reki, and yeah wow.

Reki having a nightmare in the middle of class and waking up yelling Langa's name. Honestly this is just one of my fav scenes so im adding it

Things Against:

They keep establishing that Reki likes girls: see beach episode where he wants to hit on that girl on the boat. AND LANGA GETS JEALOUS (and also has NEGATIVE interest in hitting on her. 1+ point to Langa is Mega Gay)

They play up some of these scenes for comedic purposes, but that doesn't mean that they won't use them for plot. It just makes it less likely.

Not even a week after the season’s finale and the fandom is feeling attacked lol. Honestly, after more than 10 years watching the evolution of the MCU the pattern has always been clear, in interviews during the promotions of their movies/series they’d always offer messy and ambiguous answers that are meant to confuse anyone who is reading because at the end of the day this franchise is an immense business that solely capitalizes on holding the attention of as many people as possible by entertaining their fantasies about the heroes they grow attached to. Obviously they can’t do that if they deliver statements that may divide the crowds, and consequently lose the interest of a good chunk of people. 

This time the director didn’t really say anything that would particularly deny nor confirm the idea of Sambucky and it’s fine because she probably has no idea either (because she directed the series but has not written the script herself) or if she does, she’s simply not allowed to say anything about it. And Marvel people always lie, even the actors themselves lie.

This is not to say that Sambucky will go canon because, I, myself, am careful to not hold too much hope to that idea since, again, this is a franchise that has disappointed a lot of people before and for the same reasons. But do not trust the interviews because they formulate answers that are meant to sound prolific but end up essentially saying nothing at all.

Remember they’re growing as characters and they’re developing their relationship in a way that the mcu never did for any pairing be it a romatical one or not(remember Bruce/Natasha? Bc I do and I was more suprised about them than Steve picking up Thor’s hammer in Endgame). No, they’re not gonna kiss tomorrow (maybe even never) but it’s fine to hold a tiny breadcumb of hope.

//I don’t know why people act as if Sambucky just simply does not exist and cannot exist because as far as I’m concerned Sambucky is already canon. They are not a ship meant to be sailed, I mean they were before, when the amount of time they spent in the same shot was close to nothing, but you have to be wilfully blind to ignore all the tropes they decided to shove down our throats. I mean who in this fandom asked for them to roll down a hill? To have a couple’s therapy session with their thighs interlocked? To watch bucky shamelessly try to show off how strong he is to an unimpressed Sam? To know Bucky practically dislikes anyone who even dares to look at Sam? Did anyone ask that? Hell, no one could’ve even imagined it, let alone predict all of that. All I actually wanted was some cute friendly banter between Sam and Bucky because that would’ve been anough after being parched that long for the sheer lack of interactions BUT THEY GAVE US ALL OF THAT. And for what? To end up denying any romanticization between those two? After SAM AND BUCKY STARED AT THE SUNSET TOGETHER WHILST SMILING LIKE FOOLS? 

AND SOMEHOW, WE’RE THE CRAZY ONES???

Dude, literally all I wanted was to see Sam introduce Bucky to Starbucks.

The AU for this;

“What if Dk and Bkg never befriended eachother, because Dk was too shy to talk to him?”

How it went down:

Dk, who felt like Kacchan still ‘hated’ him (which is untrue), stopped trying to befriend him and instead, befriended someone else.

That “someone else” ended up being Monoma, who had blonde hair, was arrogant, loud and annoying, and the closest to Kacchan that wasn’t Kacchan, making him the best option.

Monoma, of course, was reluctant to befriend the bone-breaker of “the infamous Class 1-A”

Him not realizing that by doing that, would make Deku even more determined to befriend him.

And while trying to befriend Monoma, Deku starts to drift/unintentionally avoid Kacchan Bakugou, and starts to linger around 1-B more. Bakugou, of course, notices.

But Bakugou can’t confront him about it, because Deku keeps leaving class as soon as it ends to go to Monoma before he could even say anything.

Going back to Monoma, who eventually let’s Deku befriend him, opening up to him and such.

Time passes by and Deku Midoriya is practically connected to Monoma Neito-kun by the hip, has completely replaced Bakugou with him. (A/N: IM SORRY I LOVE BKG I SWEAR 😭😭) and Bakugou, who is very hurt and upset about it, finds time to confront Deku about it.

The confrontation goes similar to Ground Beta, but instead of Bakugou opening up about the stuff about All Might, it’s Deku (izuku?) opening up about how shy he was about it.

They made up, became (sorta) friends, but Midoriya still decides to go to Neito-kun after classes. Monoma being none the wiser. (Or is he?)

Suprise, Monoma knew about Midoriya only befriending him because he reminded him of Bakugou for awhile, he figured it out because Midoriya accidentally slipped up once and almost said “Kacchan”

(A/N: Monoma, in his dorm: I KNOW WHO YOU PRETEND I AAMMMM, I KNOW WHO YOU PRETEND I AAAAAMMMMMMM—)

Neito-kun Monoma’s still only friends with Midoriya Deku because he’s like, one of the only friends he has that could put up with his arrogant persona.

Now over time, it goes back to Deku Izuku being friends with Bakugou Kacchan, and Midoriya Deku slowly drifting away from Neito-kun Monoma. But still kinda close (just.. not as close.. he wants hm back.)

Now Monoma’s the one hurt and upset.
