A Reflection or a Perversion? + If the others touched Twi's pendant, what would they be?
This is a concept I've been siting on for awhile, but then someone requested that Palace of the Four Sword fic and it got me thinking about it all over again so here it goes!
Zelda lore for the Dark Links, Shadow Links, the Twili-Realm, the Dark World, and Lorule are all so closely intertwined they are near synonymous, but it's those little differences that make them so hard to conceptualize, especially in LU where they all coexist. They're all said to be reflections (Time's Shadow is explicitly a water reflection but not a full person like Four's Shadow or Ravio, you reach the Dark World through a mirror, Midna is from Twili, which is through a mirror, which must be the same for Four's Shadow, etc.).
Sometimes in Zelda, a reflection is fully a perversion: upside down, inside out, one is evil, the other good. Sometimes a reflection is just an opposite, the other side of the same coin. Think Ravio, opposite to Link in every way but not evil. But sometimes in Zelda, a reflection is the same as a literal mirror: providing a perfectly accurate depiction of a person. Like in ALttP's Dark World, the Malice corrupted Sacred Realm. There, your physical form becomes a reflection of your soul.
So there's basically two types of reflections in Zelda: an entity that is a mirror (a complete opposite) of your soul, or a mirror that makes you a painfully accurate symbolic entity of your soul. But both show the truth: one by perverting it and one by revealing it.
In Monument Valley, a video game that still fucks with my head to this day, there's a room where the main character is reflected in a mirror, and sees herself as a winged human creature not unlike the tortured souls already locked in the dungeons of her game. That room has always intrigued me, so I asked myself this question a long time ago, before reading up on the Dark World lore, if Legend is a rabbit, and Twilight is a wolf, what forms would the others see or take on if they looked in a soul mirror, touched Twi's pendant, or entered the Dark World? What do their souls look like?
So without further ado, I present some concepts for peer review:
Sky, Avian. Loftwings are considered their other half, Skyloftians considered creatures of the sky as much as any bird or dragon. Sky's soul has wings, and in the Dark World, he does too, and eyes that crackle with lightning. He's a God-Killer, after all.
Four, As Expected. Four looks in a soul mirror and sees his reflection echoing back to the fourth power, could sit there and watch each of the colors emote as clearly as if they were split right now. His soul is permanently in pieces, never to be one again. He steps into the dark realm and splits immediately, only a Moon Pearl would allow him to merge while there, and even then it's uncomfortable.
Wild, Zora Fins in Ghostly Teal. Nobody is really sure what the state of Wild's soul is- is he 117 or 2 or simply 17? Water in BoTW represents resurrection. Zora fins made of teal ghost fire trail down his arms, gills burn on his neck. His soul has spent time in oblivion, which is much closer to the trees and the sun and the dirt than most people think it is, much closer to the wild than is comfortable, and then he came back, swimming against the current.
Time, Little One. At the beginning of his journey, Time had to reach above his head to turn doorknobs. In the Dark World, he has to so again. In his soul there is a child, locked in there forever by a sword who made his body too big for his mind, and then later his mind too old for his skin.
Hyrule, Stag. On the outside he seems more fit for a fawn, but the horns protruding from his head make no mistake: Hyrule is gentle by choice. He spent a life as prey until he fought back, and survived the wilds by force of will. And if his fairy genes added a little sparkles and strands of nectar-rich flowers? Well, generosity is his greatest strength.
Wind, Seagull. The absence of fish in the great sea stumped me for some time, and I briefly considered red lion. But in essence Wind is about freedom, it was his choice, perhaps more than any other Link, to save the world, to demand the triforce, and defeat Ganon. He looks in his reflection and sees for a moment the creature that stole his sister, that self-hatred and blame still having yet to fade. But a moment later he realizes he is something that makes Legend force back tears, the thieving pirate of the beach.
Warriors, Elephant. Warriors, more than any other Link, depends on the people around him to be the person he is. What is a leader without followers, a strategist without companions to direct? Betrayal and love wove through the events of his journey in a tapestry of horror and tragedy, but he stood strong. He became someone his soldiers could trust, and look up to. Warriors is larger than life, in a way, and in the Dark World, he really is. Elephants mourn their dead, form deep bonds with each other, historically they've marched into war and are some of the most intelligent animals on the planet. He looks in the mirror and expects to see a merciless monster, and instead sees the epitome of perseverance.
What do you guys think? Any suggestions? Art? Has this already been done?

So I do wanna do some clarification (and unload some of my brain rot) about Aevia and how I characterize her.
Like if it wasn't obvious I've been treating her as a pseudo-OC. Still rather adherent for the most part to the plot, and still heavily influenced by plot points and same background as established by the story. Main difference being how I actually view Aevia's personality and how I'd think her reactions and the like to certain events would be.
Long Post btw if you don't have the long post thing shortened
Spoilers ahead for several late game events up to Chapter 15 of V13 (specifying in case anything major changes in a future version)
So first off, Personality and I how I personally characterize Aevia, along with her Pokemon.
-Specializes in both Poison and Fairy types. Notable exception in her Altaria. Swaps other members as needed for battle, but Altaria is her ace.
-rather then being, ya know, the Player, the soul plucked to be made the Interceptor was a random, forgotten soul.
-due to being more or less forgotten, the soul was a blank slate. Early on she's heavily influenced by the og Aevia's soul, personality wise, even though her and the rest are still dormant.
-In addition due to the supposed blank slate, Aevia is given false memories of a past life to better fit her into the world. Crescent's creation of Nancy actually worked out perfectly for this. (I think this part is somewhat canon? At least the Nancy part, in Nancy working out great in making Aevia fit into the world despite being the Interceptor)
-Overall personality isn't too different from a kind-hearted Positive Karma player. She's nice, and very helpful. Also not very vengeful.
-Very quiet and not very expressive. As the story progresses she opens up and becomes more animated, but still doesn't talk a large degree unless around certain people.
-Likes practical jokes and puns tho
-also very mischievous, on that note. Has fun teasing or otherwise messing with her friends a bit
-very good with kids
-probably wouldn't take the fact she's effectively immortal from natural causes very well, even though she wouldn't know that by this point
As for Relationships, again not terribly different from a kind, good karma player, though with some key differences and exceptions (and also some specifics, which aren't terribly far removed from canon just elaborating on them)
-Her relationships with her main set of rivals and friends are largely the same. However-
-Particularly close with, and has romantic feelings for, both Venam and Melia
-with Venam, she's closer to, as they've spent gotten to spend more time together in casual settings rather then in life threatening adventures. Also have a shared enjoyment of pranks and messing with their friends.
-cares a great deal for Melia, but on the flip side to Venam, it's not quite the same closeness because like 90% of the time they're around each other they're also trying not to get killed to some degree, or are on some other similar risky or dangerous adventure. That being said, quite obviously Aevia would die for Melia and vice versa.
-besties with Aelita
-Cares a lot for Ren, but they were a fair bit distant due to the initial perceived betrayal from Ren. They've largely made amends by Chapter 15 though.
-Not as close to Erin or Kanon. Still cares about them, and enjoys spending time with them, but not as frequent compared to the rest of the hero squad.
-considers Amber and Mosley as siblings/family. Later on also considers Saki as a sort of sibling as well.
-has complicated feelings regarding Crescent. Some parts of her despise her for some of her actions, but her knowledge of why Crescent was that way softened her opinion of her somewhat.
-Otherwise her other relationships are not far removed from any canon. Notably forgiving, and sometimes even shows kindness to, to Ex Team Xen members (or members that clearly don't want to be there but can't leave, like Sharon and Eli). Ties in with Aevia not being terribly vengeful.
And finally how I imagine how these differences effect certain plot events, and how I believe Aevia's own development through the story occurs.
-As mentioned, initially she's heavily influenced by OG Aevia, including having skills like being able to play the piano and the like.
-Subconciously she starts to try and make herself her own person. With some help from her friends, she starts to be a bit more unique in personality, even if some influence from og Aevia still bleeds through (such as Aevia being incredibly self sacrificial)
-due to this subconscious desire to be her own person, it's what causes her to heavily change her appearance in Chapter 9, even fully changing her hair to brown. When she notices no one but Melia even mentions her appearance it starts to distress her.
-at the end of Chapter 11 when the Puppet Master first calls her the Interceptor, her false memories start to fade. She starts to low key have an identity crisis at this point, a crisis which only gets worse as she learns more about herself.
-Her internal struggles are only exacerbated towards the end of Chapter 15. When she gets a called an "Empty puppet" carrying a bunch of souls by Kieran and Clear, and she learns the nature of the souls within her making even her friends not truly see her for herself.
-However when she fully gets the support from og Aevia and the rest, she fully comes into her own person. Including her friends finally being able to actually see her. By the end of the chapter while there's of course loads of stress and things to worry about still with Team Xen, she does feel like a weight was lifted off her shoulders.
And that's it, I just wanted to make a super long post about a Blorbo. Get some of my thoughts somewhere.
Because even if in a couple weeks I'm into something completely different, I'll be back for Rejuvenation whenever v14 drops

Early FNAF Retrospective
I was around in middle school when FNAF 1 was released, and, like a lot of people my age, it just ended up being a part of my childhood. Horror has never been a genre of game I’ve been capable of digesting. It’s like spicy food. I can respect that people enjoy it, but I’ve only ever been able to learn to put up with it in tiny doses. I have never played a FNAF game and, with the exception of FNAF World, I don’t think I ever will, yet I would say I have fond memories of the franchise.
To be clear, I will mostly be referring to the games up until FNAF 4. I began losing interest in the series around FNAF 5 and while I have been caught to speed on the lore surrounding stuff like Afton and Henry, it’s just not what I grew up with or feel nostalgia for. And I’m more interested in talking about what made this series special to me despite me finding it’s entire premise being literally unpalpable. And I don’t think I’m alone in the camp of kids who grew up with FNAF but never played the games. So, yeah, I wanted to talk about why the series was suited to that.
So, I think I want to make a quick explanation for why I refuse to play the games. First of all, I cannot stand jumpscares. I startle quite easily and I genuinely hate the feeling of adrenaline. Secondly, I just have issues with being walked in on unexpectedly. Probably best to leave it at that. I also just don’t take tension and stress from games particularly well. Like, the mechanic where you have to retrieve your souls on death in Dark Souls 1 managed to stress me out so much that I literally wasn’t able to play the game for several years, and the thing that tipped me back into being able to play was me committing to completely ignoring the mechanic. But yeah, I can’t play FNAF because it would trigger the fuck out of me. And that’s not a slight on the series. Some genres of game are going to be fundamentally inaccessible to some people and FNAF just happens to be that way to me (a lot of the games I’ve played and love will be fundamentally inaccessible to other people for their own reasons). But I think it really illustrates the point that FNAF has an appeal that goes beyond its gameplay.
It’s sort of the perfect baby’s first horror game. It either started or popularized the Mascot Horror genre, and the game just nailed it perfectly. The entire point of this genre is to be a PG take on the concept of horror. FNAF is just edgy enough to attract the attention of teens, but it isn’t so edgy as to be inappropriate (or unmarketable if you want to view it that way). It’s style of horror isn’t fundamentally terrifying either. The type of fear it invokes is a lot like the Wario minigame Gamer, or rather, the Smash Bros interpretation of it that I’m familiar with. Where the game’s tension and fear is of your parents walking in on you playing video games late at night when you’re not supposed to. While that fear just so happens to trigger the fuck out of me, I’d say for most people it’s a rather comfy and nostalgic sort of fear to invoke. The other thing about FNAF’s horror is how its jumpscares fit into the game design. Jumpscares are generally seen as a cheap source of horror; they exist to startle you, not scare you; they require very little set-up; and they’re extremely easy to get desensitized to, especially when they’re used as a failure state. In other words, they exist to get a reaction out of the player without really trying to frighten them. So, it definitely begs the question of whether FNAF gets away with heavy usage of them because of having a younger skewed playerbase than most horror games or if it does something special with its jumpscares to make them work. Admittedly, I can’t really answer that question due to my limited experience with the horror genre. But what I can say is that FNAF’s jumpscares fit into FNAF’s tone. Like I said, FNAF isn’t a terrifying flavor of horror, it’s a goofy and somewhat nostalgic flavor. So, the usage of jumpscares fits perfectly here. As the jumpscares are the payoff to around one to six minutes of build-up, they also lend themselves really well to Youtube compilations, which is where Markiplier fits in here. I, admittedly, have never seen his lets-play or much of the early FNAF playthroughs. A few weeks ago, I watched an animated clips version of his Joy of Creation playthrough and then proceeded to watch some of the first episode and I can absolutely see the appeal. FNAF’s jumpscares are cathartic, they’re a release of the tension that the game’s built up. I also think the FNAF 1 jumpscares are just, iconic. The scream sound-effect is so goddamn fun. FNAF’s jumpscares aren’t meant to be scary. Going over each one (from the first game), Foxy peeks in and says hi, Bonnie nods angrily at you, Freddy pops up an gives you a hug, Chica stands there and screams, and Golden Freddy is a zoomed in JPEG. Many of the “oh shit” moments in the game outside of those jumpscares is the player going “where’s Freddy” or “oh shit Foxy left the cove” or maybe “oh shit I almost didn’t see Bonnie and Chica standing there.” So, watching all of this play out in a Let’s Play, it’s just fun seeing the player overreact to a goofy little guy screaming its heart out. As a kid, especially, there’s a certain catharsis to Markiplier’s let’s play where you see an adult man shit himself over something that’s not scary. It’s empowering to a, like, 12 year old to see that because that’s around when you become really aware that adults aren’t all they’re cracked up to be. I can totally see why his FNAF content would’ve been so popular through that lens (not to mention that he performances are quite good from the bits that I’ve watched, even if I wouldn’t exactly call his style of content my thing).
FNAF 1′s story itself is also one built on the types of ghost stories and rumors kids might spread to one-another. The animatronics think you’re an endoskeleton so they stuff you in a suit. That’s,, such a goofy and delightful way for a monster to brutally murder you. Like, it has the same energy as being told as a kid that someone went drowned in the ball pit. Then you dig a little deeper and you learn that there were five kids who were murdered and stuffed in the suits, which caused them to possess the animatronics. In FNAF 1, there’s no further elaboration on their motivations. Maybe they think you’re the killer. Maybe you are. Maybe the dead kids think this is all a game and don’t realize they’re killing you. We didn’t know, but it was fun to speculate. On the level of fucked up shit you can stick into a game, I’d say that five dead children shoved into suits is quite low on the hierarchy, but it’s just edgy and hidden enough to peak interest in kids who’ve scarcely interacted with the upper ends of fucked up. It also creates an interesting dynamic with the monsters. I already talked about how the fear being pulled on is the same fear of your parents walking in on you doing something you’re not supposed to, but now the monsters are more sympathetic than anything. This is compounded by how the original character designs are sitting on the edge between cute and creepy. Ghosts as a monster are quite interesting because no matter how creepy you try to make them, there will always be an edge of sympathy directed towards the character. But in a way, the premise of five children died and possessed these cool monsters is also quite fun. Like, it would sort of be fun to haunt a creepy fursuit and scare the shit out of some guy. Which I think is what helped inspire so many of the music videos around the series. I remember Groundbreaking’s Mangle song and TryHardNinja’s It’s Me song quite fondly. These songs weren’t trying to sell the horror of the characters. Rather, the songs have an air of playfulness and are like “fuck yeah”. They’re bops, in other words. This is definitely the side of the fandom I was more drawn towards. And that side could only happen because of the charismatic monsters.
The way that early FNAF went about its mysteries and hidden lore was to make the premise clear as day, the important plot beats slightly obscured, and then leave the details up to interpretation while probing the audience to speculate on it. One of the biggest mysteries in early FNAF was “who did the bite of 87″? In the larger picture, it doesn’t really matter. But it’s still a fun invitation to speculate who, how, and why. FNAF 2 did an excellent job at propelling the Bite of 87 mystery while also introducing a new mystery for us to chew on, purple guy. Who is this guy? Why did he kill five children? During FNAF 2, this guy could’ve been anyone from one of the protagonists to Phone Guy to some random nobody. Those possibilities made him iconic. But like with the Bite of 87, the mysteries around him are the details and flavor text. It’s the type of question that invites both theories and fanfictions, overlap between the two. I think that’s sort of magical because you know that there were people who were inspired to take up writing from writing FNAF fanfiction. Same way some people got into horror because of the games. The way the game’s mysteries are set-up and played out remind me of creepypastas. FNAF definitely isn’t the first or the last thing to invoke the idea of cute thing that’s secretly dark and disturbed, but it was a good execution on the concept, and it invited a lot of community engagement running over every little detail.
I know it’s a criticism of the game that selling horror to kids is immoral, but I can’t say I agree with that. Kids are going to be interested in horror. Maybe because it’s a taboo, maybe because horror has an appeal to people and kids are people. There’s nothing particularly traumatizing about FNAF (there’s not even blood, which if I’m being honest, I don’t think should be as taboo as it is). It doesn’t carry heavy concepts on its back. If anything, it’s a safe space for kids to be edgy kids, which I can only see as a good thing. The early games, and especially FNAF 1, just carry themselves with a juvenile sense of fear that makes them incredibly charming. I think that’s why the games caught on as hard as they did. I can’t speak for future entries or other mascot horror ips, but I can say that FNAF 1 was a legitimately good game that deserved the popularity that it got.

Hi! I was wondering if you could write some headcanons on how the brothers would react to the alternate timeline MC (the one killed by belphie, rip) haunting the house of lamentation? I just think some angst would be neato. Keep up the good work! I love your writing <3
Oh how much I love this concept. With all the ghost MCs I've been writing this fits in perfectly. How I love writing angst hehehe thank you for this wonderful ask
Thank you so much for your kindness. I hope I can do this justice :')
Tumblr media
It has been months since you've been gone. Your body buried in the human world, and yet your soul still felt like it was lingering.
They could see you - a glimpse here, a whisper there and your presence everywhere. Almost as if you just walked past them into your room, and lay curled up in bed with Satan's new books or Levi's new manga. Only you weren't.
The bumps in your bed were just pillows and blankets. The extra chair stood out like a sore thumb. They would so often call you and then feel stupid for expecting a response. Except you had started answering back now.
Lucifer could often hear paper rustling in his sleep. And when he woke up he found the paper work was done more than he remembered doing.
He found his favourite tea brewing whenever he was too tired. And it tasted exactly how you used to make it.
At first he thought it was some sort of sickening joke from his brothers so he threatened to punish them if they didn't come clean. But it was none of them.
Then...MC? Did you come back somehow?
He went into a secret frenzy, looking for you everywhere. Sometimes when the house was empty, he screamed out your name, he could hear your voice softly calling back from your room.
Soon those soft vague sounds became his only comfort - he became super strict about silence in the house. He refused to have any other tea than the one he found magically brewing. He'd always kiss the cups before drinking from them, and his eyes would sting with unshed tears.
___________________________________________
Mammon might be scared of ghosts. But not you. Never you. Especially when he could feel your weight in his arms whenever he missed you too much.
Maybe the sensation was more vivid, since he was the last one to hold you alive. He could also see you. A faint shadow that walked beside and waved to him whenever he was in your room.
And though the shadow had no face, he could tell it was smiling. He felt calm around it. Like you never left. He denied your death the most and now there was reason to.
He barely left the house and most of the time he just stayed in your room. That's where he had most memories with you. Sometimes he found coins and Grimm strewn around your bed, as if you'd left it there for him. He took them and stored them away, never to spend them.
He was overjoyed when he saw your shadow in his room. He started talking to it like it was you, pressing his lips against the walls where you appeared and watching your shadow reaching up to touch his shadow, holding it tight. In those moments he swore he could feel your arms around him again. And on those nights, his pillows would be drenched with his agony.
___________________________________________
Leviathan first noticed it when he saw that Player 2 was always logged in, in all of his games. Even the ones that came months after you were longer there.
And while player two didn't actively play, he found boost items in his game inventory that he didn't achieve himself. You used to hunt down boost items to help with his battles and he protected you during the fights.
He starts getting even more into gaming, to the point where he forgets to go out for meals. Mammon and Satan have to drag him out to eat. He often just sits there talking to himself as if you're still there.
Then one day, in the group texts of the game, he sees you text. Player 2: 'Go get him Levi! I got your back; we have a lot of ammo!" He forgot the game altogether desperately typing back a message.
You don't text as often as he would like, but he's always waiting for whatever you say. It's easily the best part of his day. If he fell asleep in front of the screen, he would wake up covered with a blanket and good morning message on screen. His brothers claim to never have gone inside so he knows it's you. He cries into the blanket you covered him with cause he misses you.
___________________________________________
Satan came to feel your presence in the strangest way. There was a particular cat that you were attached to. That cat started finding ways to sneak inside the house, in the library or Satan's room, holding small books in its mouth.
When Satan opened them up, he found petals of your favourite flowers tucked away in some particular pages. It resembled the way you marked your favorite chapters using colored bits of paper or bookmarks.
He figured out a way to talk to you. He made something that resembled an Ouija board and left a little cat shaped button on it. He tried it out in your room, and it worked. You were talking back. Not whole sentences but broken phrases and words. So he used yes and no questions from then onwards.
He often found new books in his room, a hint that you wanted him to read them. While reading, he could swear he felt your head rest on his shoulder as if trying to read with him. He also left books in your room to read. Though he missed your touch and your voice, the fact that you still talk to him gave him so much joy. He often kisses the books he gives you, hoping they reach your fingers and litters the pages with tear stains in hopes you'd see them and come back.
___________________________________________
Asmodeus screamed the first time he saw you behind him in the mirror. You were transculent, barely visible. But it was you and your distinct smile and wave of the hand, leaning against his bathroom wall, long streaks of dried blood near your neck. He could even smell you - your scent like flowers, firewood and old books.
He tries to talk to you, even tries to hold you but you're just an image. A reflection that reflects nothing but empty space. You don't seem to talk but you nod or shake your head in reply. He presses himself into the mirror as if trying to hug you tight.
But lately he hears whispers, very faint and barely there but he hears them. Always calling him somewhere where there is a mirror. Cause that's the only place he can see you. If you thought he was obsessed with mirrors then, you should see him now.
He almost covered his whole room up with mirrors so he could see you from all angles, making you feel as alive as he possibly could. He screams your name into his pillows. Maybe you would respond if he was louder?
___________________________________________
Beelzebub often passed by you room, all covered now, just like Lilith's. The door was always kept open but he didn't dare enter. But one day, a strong gust of wind blew it wide open as if urging him to enter. So he did.
On the bed he found some fresh treats placed right in the middle of your bed. It was the treats he loved to eat together with you. How did they even get here?
He sat on the bed and absent mindedly started eating. When he ate, he could hear your laughter and you talking - a surge of memories flooding his senses. And when he was done, he could swear he felt your fingers wiping his mouth.
Eversince then he refused to eat anywhere except your room and his brothers had to drag him to the table during breakfast and dinner. But whenever a new bakery or restaurant opened, he would bring all the food back only to eat it in your room. And he would smile, listening to saying how delicious the food is. He would often clutch at his chest and cry, missing the way you used to hold him whenever he was sad. Won't you come hold him now, MC?
___________________________________________
Belphegor couldn't feel a thing. The only way he knew you were still here was when he brothers acted strangely. He'd ask them of course, but they'd never reply to him. He was the reason MC was gone. Why would MC show themself to him?
So he observed his brothers, always cautious for every little thing that was out of place. He'd caught all his brothers crying at some point or the other. Especially in your room. So he'd curl up in your room to spend the night in there hoping to feel you like his brothers. Only he never did, and Mammon and Satan would scream and drag him out the next morning.
None of the brothers would let him inside of their own rooms either. They couldn't save you when it mattered. So now it was their way of protecting whatever essence was left of you.
Feeling dejected and guilty he went and locked himself inside his old attic. He rested his against the bars that locked him in. Isn't this where he first met you, MC? Sigh. You'd been nothing but kind to him so why did he-
"Belphie.." Then he heard it. For the first time in forever, he heard your voice again. Soft and kind - just like before. He looked up and through the bars, he saw the most familiar sight. You smiling at him through the bars, your fingers wrapped around yours. And just like that he broke down. He started howling in pain, as he tried to reach you, but his fingers slipped right through you. "I'm sorry I'm sorry come back please come back!" He cried as you disappeared into thin air again.

what subjects bts would teach at a school
Tumblr media
jimin :: maths. this guy is flawless at maths, and we all know he used to get full marks on almost every test. maths as a subject isn't particularly well-loved, but he would be one of those cool teachers that makes you look forward to your lessons even if you hate the subject itself. unique selling points: charisma, enthusiasm and knowledge.
taehyung :: history. there has long been a stereotype that everyone has a crush on the history teacher (hi! aromantics i see you too ☺️) and honestly, this could only be for taehyung. he is so so so so fine but also through his instagram account we know that he has an interest in typically history teacher things like jazz, actual history and photography. unique selling points: passion, ability to make it romantic and fashion relating to the lessons.
hobi :: geography or pe. the enthusiasm and attention to detail this man his would be perfect for a job in either department, probably more towards geography. he's open minded and likes to travel, like anyone, so this would be a great way to fuel his passion. he would be the fun, not scary pe teacher (yes we all know pe teachers get a bit of a bad rep) and would incorporate ways to make the activities as much like dancing like possibly i.e. adding music to a game of tennis. unique selling points: caring nature, ability to read the room and again, enthusiasm.
namjoon :: art. the thoughtfullness of this man means he would be perfectly suited to a more laid-back lesson type, where students could paint and discuss topics like religion, current affairs and philosophy at the same time. his students would all love him and even say hi in the corridors, as well as ask him philosophical questions. unique selling points: down-with-the-kids, openness, relaxed nature.
yoongi :: ethics or philosophy. like namjoon, yoongi is clearly a very well rounded and balanced man, who is able to express his feelings pretty well. that's an underrated skill, actually. bottling up is 3000 x easier. philosophy or ethics would be the best choice for him as he appears to be very passionate about injustices and inequalities through the way he talks in interviews irl. he would be fairly reserved in general but when it comes to his lessons he would explode with colour and excitement. (that's an interesting thing to picture haha). he'd be one of those teachers that everyone likes and no-one would want to upset because he gives off major "disappointed not angry" vibes in lessons, when someone misbehaves. unique selling points: articulation of hard-to-swallow information, has a really great lesson pace, tranquility.
seokjin :: drama. i think he'd have to be teaching one of the arts, for sure. this man has so much confidence and energy which would reflect right onto his students and leave them feeling refreshed and excited after every drama lesson. irl, i can actually see actor jin in the future so this is just background proof haha. the kind to not over-advertise school plays because he knows loads of students will join anyway because he's the teacher and he's lots of fun. puts his heart and soul into the production and doesn't even act surprised when they ask him to do a cameo too. unique selling points: passion, infectious confidence and popularity.
jungkook :: a science of some sort. because, as we know, he's the golden maknae so he has pretty much natural-born talent in all aspects of life, so he'd be a versatile teacher for all three sciences: biology, chemistry and physics. he'd be the one to give the students the secret examiner tips for their assignments because he understands that a lot of doing well in exams is knowing how to interpret the questions they're asking. would finish each lesson off with a video explaining some of the more fantastical aspects of science, such as quantam physics, parallel universes, how many atoms would fit into x, cool facts about the human body. unique selling points: versatility, encouraging nature and knowledge.

thoughts on toga?
Sorry, I was putting some good music to do this 😌 our vampire princess deserves only the best.
PERSONAL THOUGHTS ON TOGA HIMIKO :
First of all, I still maintain that she's one of the best written female characters of bnha.
I used to think she was heavily sexualized on the manga, and while I still maintain that she is hyoersexualized on the fandom and still sexualized on the manga, I came to realize some of Horikoshi's choices are not that bad. Of course, it has a lot to do with certain common motives and symbolisms.
I think my main complain about the way some people write Toga (pushing aside the way the ship her with adults), it's that people either put her a a total child or a total woman.
Oh God, Toga is so smart. She's so under-appreciated, so so much.
"She's a murdered". She's what? 16-17 years old? Let's see the facts.
Toga was born in a family with money.
The first memory we got from her is Toga bitting a bird and showing it to her parents. They reacted pretty bad, like it was terribly spooky and told her to put that away, rejecting her.
After that, she created a mask for herself. She started pretending to be normal, smiling a lot, becoming the sweet overexcited girl.
However, the feeling never went away, because it was part of her quirk. The need to bite people to become them, the joy of wanting to taste the blood of someone she loved.
This could be a side effect like a person with wings wanting to fly, or a person with fire wanting to see the flames.
After stabbing her school crush, she ran away and began a criminal career of stabbing other people, hiding from the police.
This all means she lived in a lie for at least 13 years of her life, before becoming a criminal and loving on the streets at least 3 or 4 more years.
Toga has both taste the high-middle class class and the low class. She knows what is like to have too much money and be empty inside because no one sees you or accepts you, as much as she knows what is like being hungry and with cold, but living with people that love you for who you are.
This girl learned to erase her presence from a young age, before any of the UA kids ever dreamed about having that level of skill. She knows how to fight pretty well in close combat, how to fight with knives, how to trick people, how to choose her preys and when to retire from a fight.
She's extremely smart because she has successfully infiltrated in the heroes side at least three times: during the license exam, during the overhaul arc and on the war arc.
Her great goal is to live and live well. This is fucking magnificent because many people with her experience would reject themselves, thinking they're the problem. Toga knows she's not the problem, but society. She knows she deserves to live and love and have friends and family and she fights for it. In fact, even when so many people say she's insane, she's uses her logic all the time, way more than many other members of the League.
She see humans as they are. Not villains, not heroes. She was able to love Izuku and Ochaco even when they were heroes, she was able to hate overhaul while he was a villain. This shows she's outside the hero-villain toxic narrative, clever girl.
She's not afraid to face anyone when it comes to her rights. She faces Tomura more than once (overhaul arc, mva arc), she doesn't let Dabi intimidate her, she protects Twice and sweetly answers to Mr. Compress and Spinner's worry.
And God, maybe she doesn't have a mutant quirk, but almost. See her pupils, see her fangs. The reason why she makes people uncomfortable it's because she doesn't fit their standards. And she's perfectly okay with people not knowing how to categorize her. In fact, her fight in the MVA arc was because someone was trying to frame her.
I don't know how to make this clear but she's not crazy or psycho.
Toga Himiko would have passed the UA test with honors. She's so further above from the rest. She knows the older generations are full of shit and she knows they can't follow their paths, enough to outgrow Stain's legacy and make her own ideals.
I love how she shows that one can be totally feral and go against the system without stop being oneself.
Her speech to Ochaco on the war arc was incredible. She quickly questioned the idea that heroes can decide who deserves to live and who doesn't by saving only the people they think that deserve to be saved. She criticized the heroes decision to forget and dismiss and put away real people suffering just because they were not passive about their pain. She also make Ochaco see that she was a girl, just like her, not some type of hell demon trying to consume her soul.
She refused to say Shigaraki and decided to call him Tomura instead. This is so important!!!! From a narrative point of view, she's rejecting AFO's last name and accepting Tomura, the boy mourning for a father, a family.
She's observant, analytical, good at judging people, great at adapting and changing her mind.
I love how she kept being so happy and vibrant even in the worst moments.
And she's not just a victim, please. Toga Himiko is not some lost child, not a know-it-all woman. She's a teenager that can understand the situation but still needs tsome guidance.
She's actively changing the system. She's not passive or easy to manipulate. Like Spinner said, she's a free spirit.
So I'd love to see more fanfics depicting this. She's an amazing character at the level of most male characters on bnha, just like Ochaco, for example.
I'd love to see more headcanons about her with people her age. Real headcanons.
What about Momo and Toga talking about how boring can fancy parties be? How people with money are crazy sometimes?
What about Toga talking with Jirou about beinf girls that are considered "bros" by her friends?
What about Toga talking about being a little mutant and Tsuyu talking with her about hating cold weather?
What about Toga and Kirishima being overexcited and full of positivity together? About Denki and Toga talking about celebrities and TigTog? About Toga and the people from class 1-B bonding over being considered less when they're as good as class 1-A? Toga and Shinsou? Toga and Koda loving cats? Toga and Shoji playing card games? Toga and Tokoyami loving metal music? Toga and Bakugo loving romance stories?
What about Toga admiring female pro-heroes? Mirko seems loud and determined, Toga would adore her under other circumstances. Fuyumi helping Toga with her self-care because she ran away young. Toga showing Eri that they both have "scary" quirks and it's not wrong! They're both went through really bad moments and they're not bad! Toga being a big fan of the Wild Wild Pussycats. Toga adoring Vlad King and Present Mic.
The potential is there.
Anyway I just want more creativity, maybe. People writing more about Toga and the implications of her childhood, about how insane she is a fighter and a human being.

Tendencies
Pairing: Hawks x GN!Y/N
Summary: Hawks with bird tendencies, but he’s faking it because he thinks you’ll like him more.
Hawks fluff for the soul~
~~~~~~
Everyone assumes because of his animal quirk, Hawks should have animal tendencies. It would make sense since people with animal type quirks often share habits with their animal counterparts. These “bird hero headcanons” stem from the various theories his [rabid] fans have of what the hero is like behind his cocky, charming exterior. Unfortunately for them, the most bird-like qualities he has are his wings, which is why he gets a little confused when some fans ask him to coo when he signs things for them.
Being in a relationship with the bird boy is a whole ‘nother ball game. When you gave him a cracker and some trail mix as a joke, he nibbled at it while making chirping sounds and doing a little happy dance. You thought it was absolutely adorable and started to pull out your phone when he noticed and immediately stopped, desperate to convince you that it had to be a secret because it was too embarrassing for the public to know about.
Opening the door into your shared living space after work one day, you found him sitting on the couch surrounded by an assortment of pillows, blankets, some of his feathers strewn about. When you asked what all this was for, he got up and gently pulled you to come sit in his “nest” for cuddle time. Needless to say, you two were nice and cozy for the rest of that night.
You don’t know when, but one day he started bringing you things. Shiny things. Rocks, shells, the occasional piece of overpriced jewelry, you name it. You had asked him why he, and he simply answered “Because I thought you would like it!” with the sweetest, most innocent loving smile. You now had a box in the closet labeled “Y/N’s shiny things” written on the side messily in glitter glue. Looking at it every morning before you got dressed never failed to give you the warm and fuzzies.
One night he came home from a mission covered in some weird sludge and you had offered to help him clean up. You had him sit on a stool in your-unreasonably large-bathroom while you ran a warm damp towel through his feathers. He spent the whole time giving little hums of approval as you worked your way through. When you reached the base of them however, he shuddered and gasped, causing his wings to fluff up and push you away. He had his hands covering his face in shame while you were rolling on the floor laughing like crazy. In your fit, you didn’t notice him peeking through his hands, smiling softly down at you.
He had made it his mission to learn how to do your hair. It didn’t matter what type it was, or if he had no previous experience, he was going to do it. You had told him it was fine and he didn’t need to, but he insisted. It was supposed to be payback for how well you had been taking care of his wings. He’s gotten really good at it now, confident enough to let you show up to work in a “Keigo original” with only the smuggest of grins when your coworkers compliment your hair.
It happened one afternoon when the two of you were just chilling and listening to the radio. He started bobbing his head to the music ever so slightly, then started doing it harder as the song got to his favorite part. You carefully and sneakily pulled out your phone to take a small video. You weren't going to show anyone, you just wanted to keep it as a little secret for yourself. He was fully aware of what you were doing, but he let it slide, only because he loves you.
The truth finally came out one day at the beginning of spring. You had been pulling away from him and he couldn’t figure out why. You had cut cuddle time shorter and shorter, only stayed in the house to eat and grab spare clothes, you had even started staying over at a friend’s house instead of with him. He was starting to go cuckoo not having you there. He needed to confront you about your recent behavior, so he made a plan.
When he called you to meet on the roof of the penthouse, you were a bit skeptical of his intentions, but thought to humor him as the guilt of leaving him alone was eating you alive. What you weren’t expecting was to see him standing there, smartly dressed and roses in hand. The nerve ridden man in front of you was a stark contrast from his usual laid back and carefree persona, but a strangely welcome sight all the same.
Before you could speak, he handed you the flowers and basically begged to know what he could have possibly done wrong. You try to calm him as he frantically apologizes for things he hasn’t even done. Finally, you grab him by the shoulders and yell that he hasn’t done anything wrong.
“Then why have you been avoiding me?” He asks in such a sad and broken tone that you feel your heart ache.
“Babe,” You sigh, embarrassed that you didn’t think of talking this out with him earlier and had to do it here and now of all places.  “I’ve been avoiding you because it’s spring.”
“What does the weather have to do with anything! You can’t just randomly pull away because winter’s over!” He was still visibly confused by your actions. You couldn’t believe you had to be the one to say it like this.
“It’s SPRING, Keigo! I know it was mean of me to do that without telling you first, and I’m sorry. I’m just not sure if I can handle…” You trail off, not wanting to finish, cringing.
Hawks was a smart man. The Commission had made sure of that. The moment you hesitated, he finally understood what this was all about. He processed it for a bit, then the chuckling started, which evolved into full-blown hysterics. You were taken aback by the sudden change in demeanor. First, completely frantic, now this? Was this a side effect of-
“I’m not-I-I don’t really act like a bird y’know.” He said, finally calming down and wiping small tears from his eyes. “I’m just a guy with wings, nothing more, nothing less.” He looked at your wide-eyed and open-mouthed expression.
“Wh-bu-I thought you-”
“Acted like a bird because I have a bird quirk? Sorry dove, but no, I don’t.”
“Then why have you-”
“If I’m being honest, the only reason I did was because I thought you would like me more. The fans think that’s who I am and I thought you did too. I know, I know, I shouldn’t have lied about it, but what else was I supposed to do? The thought of ‘“What if they leave you because you aren’t what they thought you were?’” kept creeping in and I just couldn’t tell you the truth. If I had known you would avoid me because of it, I would have said something sooner. I’m sorry” His eyes were downcast as he finished. He really didn’t mean for it to get this out of hand. If he had just told you, then maybe things would be better. Now you probably hated him. You gently grasped his face and brought it up to meet yours.
“Oh featherbrain-” You touched his forehead with your own, caressing his cheeks as you do ”I love you, quirks-yes pun fully intended-or not. It doesn’t change the fact that you’re the same Keigo Takami I fell in love with. It was cute, but I think I can live with just-normal-man-with-wings Hawks.” you say squishing his cheeks and giving him a little peck on his nose.
“I don’t know about that. Some of those things have turned into habits that I’m not sure will break so easily.” he smirks as he snakes his arms around your waist.
“I guess we’ll just have to live with that then. But to be perfectly clear, your not-”
“No, I’m not.”
“Thank god. I wasn’t sure how long I could stand being at (y/f/n)’s house. I think they’re just about ready to kick me out.”
“Then It’s your lucky day. There’s a penthouse lease with your name on it and some very empty bed space just your size. Think you can fix that for me, love?” He arches his brow, teasingly.
“I think I can fix that.”
The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021) Review
Tumblr media
This new film warns of the dangers of tech consumption yet it appears on a streaming service that’s entire business model is based upon screen addiction with their endless binge worthy content. As they say the irony is most definitely present!
Plot: A quirky, dysfunctional family's road trip is upended when they find themselves in the middle of the robot apocalypse and suddenly become humanity's unlikeliest last hope.
A new animated film produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller who are yet to make a miss, having made a career out of taking familiar formulas and turning them upside down on their heads, whether it be 21 Jump Street that took the idea of the original TV show and gave it more energy and modernistic humour, to The Lego Movie that took the excuse of squeezing more money out of a popular children’s brand and actually made a well made movie and then there is Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse which basically went and created its own animation style inspired by graphic novels. These guys have a very original voice in Hollywood and they prove it time and time again. Their new Netflix animated venture The Mitchells vs. The Machines is no exception.
I watched this film with my girlfriend and the most recent animated feature we watched together was Soul, which was one of my favourite films last year for its emotional heft and good hearted message, and I am not at all sorry to embarrass her and report that my girlfriend balled her eyes out at that movie. Well wouldn’t you know the same thing happened here with The Mitchells vs The Machines. And honestly it caught me off guard, as this movie is really funny and has that fast paced high-energy load of constant jokes being thrown at you right from the get-go similarly to The Lego Movie that when the dramatic scenes do strike they surprise you and so one moment I’m chuckling away and the next I’m staring at my girlfriend who’s eyes have turned into Niagara Falls. Would have taken me nothing to get a canoe and go down that stream whacking her cheeks with my paddles! However her tears were well founded as behind the comedy and the central plot revolving around this alien invasion is a tale about a father and his daughter and them reconnecting and it reminded my girlfriend of her with her dad but even in itself this is a plot point that many audiences can connect with and this element is handled super well in the film. Also helps that the voice actors for these two characters - Danny McBride and Abbi Jacobson - share great chemistry, or do I call it VOCAL chemistry?... Is that a thing? Can I say that? Do I make sense or am I a fool? The likelihood is the latter, but I digress. Nevertheless with this emotional thread I bet Disney is gutted they didn’t acquire the rights to this movie as it would have fit perfectly in their Pixar catalogue.
Typical to other Phil Lord and Chris Miller produced animated projects, the animation in this film looks super unique. The blend of CGI with 2D motion drawings scribbled over many shots make it look as if the lead character Katie, a tech-heavy arts college student is literally doodling on each frame, just like with filters and captions that appear on our phone screens in real life. Overall the film is directed really well and the comedic timing is spot on with so many highlight sequences, whether its the goofy short films that Katie makes from documenting her family’s disastrous road trip that includes traffic jam road rage and a seven hour mule tour gone wrong where we unfortunately lose the unsung hero that is Prancer to the canyon, to then the weirdly intense scene where the classic childrens toys Furbies are turned into monsters that act like gremlins, or Olivia Colman’s villainous Siri-type phone AI passive-aggressively being furious and cranky in her evil robot lair that looks like it was designed by Pink Floyd or Daft Punk. There’s so much attention to detail packed into this film and a lot of it is just random additions that are added for the sake of fun, and the entire thing reminded me of the new co-op video game that me and my girlfriend have been playing recently called It Takes Two (which I highly recommend!!) which to be honest shares a lot in common with the spirit of this film. It’s all so CONNECTED!! Honestly the only reason I referenced It Takes Two is cause me and my girlfriend have been enjoying it immensely and I needed to find a pointless excuse to share some non-paid unnecessary advertising for this game.
The Mitchells vs The Machines is an exciting and hilarious family adventure that has something for everyone, and to be honest is a welcome treat for our current pandemic times. I loike it a lot, it’s noice!
Overall score: 8/10
Pokemon Legends Arceus review
Tumblr media
I recently finished playing through the main storyline of Pokemon Legends Arceus, as well as some post-game content, so I figured it’s time to finally write my thoughts on the game.
**WARNING: MINOR SPOILERS AHEAD**
First off, I absolutely loved this game. I know some fans have been disillusioned with Pokemon games ever since they went to 3D, but I’ve always enjoyed every single game I’ve played (and I’ve played all the main series games since Red/Blue, as well as some spin-off games). I remember when the trailer for PLA was first revealed, there was a ton of hype, as well as criticism, mostly due to the graphics. Compared to other modern games that also take place in vast, open-world natural settings, the graphical integrity of PLA looks several years behind in technology. While that may be true, the simple, “cartoony” look of Pokemon’s design feels like a staple of the franchise’s art style, at least to me. The pokemon and human characters have always leaned towards the “2D anime” look, so it doesn’t bother me if the graphic design of the setting isn’t as realistic looking as it could be.
But looks aside, how is the actual gameplay? It’s great, with so much improvement on pretty much everything that’s been a mainstay mechanic of previous Pokemon games. The fact that catching and battling pokemon is now blended into the overworld makes it feel so much more immersive. Being able to catch pokemon by luring or surprising them instead of just having to battle them, again, makes the whole feel of the world more open and less restrictive. The fact that some pokemon flee from you while others actively pursue you adds even more to the immersion, as does exploring the world while riding and flying on different pokemon. Crafting is a fantastic new mechanic that perfectly fits the more primitive setting of ancient Hisui where you can’t just buy everything at a PokeMart. I thought the game did a great job with providing the player enough opportunities to forage for important crafting items without feeling like you never have enough of the stuff you need. All of these combined leads to one of the most engrossing adventures I’ve experienced in any Pokemon game thus far. Also, as someone who loves watching Pokemon challenge runs on YouTube, PLA opened up so much potential for new types of runs…”no damage” and “no battling wild pokemon” runs are a lot more accessible with this game and I can’t wait to see what strategies people come up with.
Another great addition that PLA introduces is non-turn based pokemon boss battles. Learning how to win against each noble pokemon’s attacks was so much fun. Unlike other Pokemon games where you can always win if you just level up your pokemon enough and/or spam items, having boss battles that rely solely on skill and quick reflexes was a refreshing challenge. As someone who’s played difficult action games like Dark Souls, I can’t say the boss battles in PLA were particularly hard, but for a Pokemon game, they’re a welcome rise in difficulty that I hope will be utilized again in future games. Another welcome addition in difficulty is being able to encounter very high level pokemon early in the game, plus the fact that pokemon can actually attack the player. Again, not always being able to hide behind over leveled pokemon to be free from danger is a great new challenge that the series needs. The addition of alpha pokemon added to the suspense and difficulty as well (but I swear some of those alpha pokemon were reading my inputs and would use super effective moves on a pokemon as I switched it in! I’m fine with a challenge, but that’s cheating, lol!) I suppose my only nitpick as far as the adventuring aspect of the game is the inability to break crystals and knock trees while riding a pokemon. The immersion gets a bit compromised when you have to get off of your ride pokemon, send out your own pokemon, break the crystals/trees to get the items, then get back on the ride pokemon. I got used to it after a while, but it’s one of those minor quality of life things that could be improved on for the next game.
As far as the new pokemon and Hisuian forms, I liked them all (as I usually do in all the new games, lol). My favorites are Ursaluna, Zorua, Typhlosion, Growlithe, Goodra, and Braviary. I also think the new forms for Dialgia and Palkia are pretty cool (not sure what’s up with the horse motif but it’s interesting). The new lore and human characters introduced in the game are compelling too. It was a nice change of pace to play a Pokemon game solely focused on exploring the landscape, history, and people of the region rather than winning gym battles and stopping an evil organization. However, I was a bit disappointed that PLA didn’t bring in more pokemon that have yet to make a debut on the Switch. I know it makes sense that there’s mostly Gen4 pokemon in the game, since it takes place in old Sinnoh, but I was hoping some of my favorite later Gen pokemon, like Litleo and Eelectross, would finally be in a Switch game. Oh well, next time maybe!
(Took some photos of the pokemon I used throughout my playthrough)
If I had to criticize one big element of PLA, it would have to be the watered down battle mechanics. I know a lot of players don’t mind this, but I’m someone whose favorite part of Pokemon games is competitive battling online against other players. Obviously PLA has nothing to offer for this as there’s no 2-player connectivity at all, and major battle elements like pokemon abilities, held items, etc., are removed from the game. I don’t mind this in PLA because I know battling isn’t as much a focus of the game as the open-world adventuring. I just don’t want some of the new battle mechanics, or lack thereof, to carry over to a main series game. For example, I really don’t like the fact that stat modifiers and status conditions are temporary in battle – that completely destroys so many strategies in the competitive community. I’m also not a fan of the new turn system where pokemon can attack twice in a row. There were so many times where my opponent seemed to always be able to attack twice in a row, whether they used an agile style move or not, while I rarely did, even when I knew my pokemon should be faster. Maybe I just don’t understand the mechanics of this new system, but there were many moments where I was like “How are you attacking twice in a row?” For example, as I recorded in this video, the alpha Crobat attacked my Ursaluna three times in a row (without using agile style!) Also, when I was battling Volo post-game, after I knocked out his Togekiss with my Sneasler, he sent out Spiritomb, which I know is a very slow pokemon, yet it attacked Sneasler (who’s about the same level and has 8 effort values in speed) twice in a row, no style moves involved! Again, maybe there’s something I’m not following with this new mechanic, but if slow pokemon can randomly outspeed your fast pokemon, or a fast pokemon can randomly attack your slower pokemon three times in a row, I’m definitely not a fan of that.
However, PLA did introduce some improvements as far as making good pokemon – the fact that pokemon can know all their moves, but only use four at a given time, is an appreciated change that would obsolete the need for the Move Relearner and TMs/TRs in the other games. The new evolution mechanic where a pokemon that reaches its evolution level can evolve anytime via the menu instead of having to level up, is another nice improvement (the new evolution animation is really cool too). I’m still not sure how I feel about effort levels replacing EVs/IVs. On the one hand, I like that it’s simpler and removes the tedious and expensive work of maxing out a pokemon’s EVs with vitamins, mass breeding to get good IVs, and max leveling to use bottle caps. But on the other hand, effort levels allow you to max out all of a pokemon’s stats, without the restriction of allocating only a certain number of EVs to desired stats. I feel like this could also alter long-established strategies in competitive play, but I’d have to see it in action to confirm.
Overall, Pokemon Legends Arceus is definitely one of the best and most accessible Pokemon games I’ve played. There are many aspects of its mechanics and design that can be true game-changers for future releases in the Pokemon video game series. My ideal scenario for the first Gen9 game would be if they kept the long established battling mechanics from the past games (with the improvements I mentioned earlier, like pokemon always knowing all their moves) but incorporating the catching, crafting, foraging, etc., mechanics from PLA. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. But even if they continue to keep the traditional game mechanics in the next generation games, I wouldn’t mind if they kept the Legends series as its own separate thing and continued making new additions, for example, a game that focuses on Rayquaza and ancient Hoenn, or Lugia and Ho-oh in ancient Johto. PLA opened up even more potential from a franchise that’s already brimming with it, so I hope Game Freak will continue to make awesome Pokemon games like this in the future.
Ikevamp Guys as Villains
Tumblr media
Warnings: Mass Murder, Gore...
Tagging: @aurora-morning @delicateikemenmemes @writer-akihiko @nafeary
Napoleon
Napoleon would be a royal dictator. He is the leader of a corrupt, authoritarian regime, hellbent on conquering the world. Think Hela (Thor: Ragnarok or The Darkling (Shadow and Bone). He controls people with his massive armies, and believes he is the only rightful ruler in this world. He believes that the world should be remade in his image so it can be restored to its former glory. He craves power and he will stop at nothing to get it. His armies are tools that swore their lives and souls to his cause. He feels no remorse in sacrificing them for his greater good. The only thing that would satisfy him now, is seeing the world crushed under the heel of his boot.
Leonardo
Leo as a villain would be like Iron Man gone bad. He does what he does simply out of curiosity he wants to see if it would even work. Cyberterrorism is just a tool for him. He would make modifications to his own body so that his eyes can see x-Ray, night vision, and other people’s biological information, and his brain is directly connected to the internet. He would create an entire army of robots like Ultron (Marvel) or Terminators. He hacks into government servers and international television broadcasts. He takes over entire governments simply by sitting in his lab controlling his army from a tablet. He can destroy anything connected to the internet with a flick of his finger. He wouldn’t even have to get up out of his chair. His plans would be so well thought out that no one would realize what happened until they’ve already lost.
Dazai
Dazai would be unhinged and reckless. He’d completely detach himself from human emotions and commit as many insane heinous crimes as possible till he does something bad enough that he would get killed for it. He creates an alternate persona for himself like the Joker or Hisoka (HxH), and at that point he has buried his emotions so well that he fails to differentiate between his persona and his true self. He may not actively acknowledge it but his true goal is to just go out in a blaze. It doesn’t matter how many lives it costs to do so.
Jean
Jean would be walking a fine line between villain and antihero. His main motivation is wiping out the people he considers evil, to make the world a “better place”. However, he would take it to a point of mass murder. There would be major battles breaking out between the people that support him and the people that believe what he is doing is evil. He believes he is bringing divine justice upon those who deserve it and thinks this is the way to atone for his past sins. Sound familiar? Jean would be Kira (Death Note). He is also similar to The Hood (Arrow). He has no mercy and he will not hesitate to kill.
Comte
Comte is rich enough to buy world leaders. He is the puppet master behind every single nation of the world. No one suspects him, however he slowly takes over countries one by one. He would also run some kind of underground mafia operation that’s involved in pretty much every kind of trade there is. He gets his money from so many sources that even if one is cut off, he is still rich enough to maintain his control over politicians and famous businessmen. Comte is the leader of the secret societies that the world’s richest people are involved in. The world answers to him and you would never even know. (Similar to Kingpin (Marvel) and the Court of Owls (DC)
Sebastian
Sebastian was adopted by Comte after ran away from his family. When he was young, hs saw firsthand how cruel the world can really be. He wholeheartedly believes the world is better off being run by Comte, and has pledged complete loyalty to him. He is Comte’s right hand man and he runs most of their underground mafia operations. He is incredibly versatile and does whatever Comte needs from him. Acting as a proxy? Assasinating a world leader? Leading a heist? Sebastian can do it all. His ideals have been so skewed growing up with Comte, that he sees himself as an extension of Comte’s power. Nothing more. He is a loyal weapon to be used by his boss.
Vincent
Vincent would release his emotions and would be unable to handle it mentally. He would be a serial killer who escaped from an asylum after losing his mind. He would kidnap his victims and slowly bleed them out as he paints with their blood. His specialty is carving designs into his victims after they have bled out and died. He leaves a sunflower at every crime scene and each new murder is just his latest artistic masterpiece left for the world to see. One way or another his art will be remembered, and it will cause the whole world to feel as much as he does.
Theo
Theo is driven by rage. Rage towards the world, towards the way he and Vincent were treated. His strength and anger would translate into him having an incredibly powerful monstrous form. His only goal is destruction. He wants to tear apart the society that allows people to get hurt like he did. He would be similar to Venom (Marvel), Abomination (Marvel), or Eren (Attack on Titan). Blinded by rage, he looses sight of his original goal and devoted himself to destroying everything he sees. It doesn’t matter who gets killed, they’re just collateral damage.
Isaac
Isaac can be two different types of villains all in one. On one hand, he’s a mad scientist who happened to discover a chemical combination that can be weaponized. However his insatiable bloodlust drives him to weaponize his discovery for himself. He wants people to know fear like he does (think Scarecrow (Batman). I can see him laying with Leonardo and helping upgrade his robot army with that chemical. On the other hand, when he lets himself give in to that bloodlust, he won’t stop unless he is stopped by someone else (like ripper Stefan from Vampire Diaries). He rips apart his victims like a wild animal. His crime scenes are covered in blood with dismembered body parts.
Mozart
Mozart would be an assassin for hire. He’s like a ghost. There have been stories about him but no one truly knows who he is. He works in the shadows and kills efficiently and without hesitation. One of his specialties is creating various sound waves that can kill his target. For those type of kills he doesn’t even need to leave his base, he can simply hack their device and cause it to play that frequency. Comte has hired him before to carry out certain kills he couldn’t do himself because of his position. Mozart is extremely devoted to his job will kill anyone who gets in the way of him and his target.
Arthur
Arthur would be a mix between Moriarty and Kilgrave (Jessica Jones). He would have some kind of mind controlling ability that allows him to create loyal puppets for his elaborate schemes. He loves playing games with the people suspecting him and he leads them in circles with their investigations. Sometimes he will even offer to personally help investigate cases he is responsible for, just to lead them into dead ends and plant fake clues. Every crime of his is a masterpiece with countless layers going into it. He does not see the people involved as humans. They’re just his pawns in his game of chess. Arthur just wants to see how far he can go before he finds a worthy opponent that can solve his cases.
Shakespeare
Shakespeare would be a theatrical serial killer who later escalates to mass murder. He would start out by abducting people he believes to “fit the role” he has planned for them. He would then kill them, replicating famous death scenes from plays and movies he admired (or his own plays). Each crime scene would be perfectly set up with lighting, makeup, and costuming. This would escalate later on to him and his troupe taking massive groups of people hostage, forcing them to read lines and act out various gruesome plays. When someone dies in the play, the actors have to murder each other. If they refuse, Shakespeare murders them both out of rage and brings in new people to replace them. He will not stop until he creates his perfect play.
So this is going to be my attempt to summarize the newest episodes of the ghost marriage event (episode 1 to 13) of twisted wonderland. Part 2
Again, spoiler alert since I’m about to write out everything that happened, and I apologize for my grammar in advance.
The event started with Epel, Ace, Riddle, and Rook’s marriage proposal
In your dorm -> suddenly a lot of ghosts showed up and said this would be the guest room for the princess -> you got kicked out by them -> you went and ask Crowley what is going on -> Crowley explained -> that was the ghost bride, her dream was to find a wonderful prince to marry, but she died before able to fulfill the dream, so now she wonders around twisted wonderland to find her groom, but that would be impossible -> Crowley “since her perfect prince needs to be over 180cm (5ft9) tall, a slim body without any unnecessary fat, clean and beautiful skin, charming smile, shinnying hair, and lips that make you want to kiss them.” -> Crowley “so there’s no way that anyone could fit that description, they just stay in ramshackle for a few days then leave.” -> suddenly Ortho showed up and said his brother is taken away by the ghosts -> Ortho showed you a footage from the security camera
Idia was on his way to buy manga -> the ghost princess showed up and said “I’ve finally found him… my prince!!!” -> the video cuts out -> Grim was surprised since Idia doesn’t feel like a prince at all -> Crowley “tall, slim, pale skin, and a smile… that can’t really be called charming, shinning… more like burning hairs, and his colored lips. If you think of it, he does fit the ghost’s type.” -> there was suddenly a lot of noises outside -> Ace and Deuce was there -> a bunch of ghosts showed up in cafeteria -> you all retreated to the sports field -> Riddle, Azul, and Kalim were also there -> they were studying but the ghost suddenly showed up -> Azul “Kalim, the correct term would be we were ‘teaching’ you right?” -> Riddle “just a little more and Kalim could finally understand the question…!” -> Vil, Rook, and Epel were in the classroom and the ghosts showed up and kicked them out -> Cater was also kicked out of lab room -> Leona was kicked out from hallway -> Ortho explained what happened to all of them -> everyone laughed -> Crowley “It’s no time to laugh! Do you know what it means to be married to a ghost? It means to be together forever with the dead. You will have your soul pulled out and goes to the other world!” -> Ortho “my… my big brother is going to be a ghost? I don’t want that to happen! Please, help my brother!” -> Crowley “of course, I’m sure when their friend is in trouble, all the gentle students here will help Shroud…”
Tumblr media
 -> everyone “nope/don’t wanna.” -> (player choice: “what a wonderful harmony” / “you guys only get along with each other in a time like this.”) -> Ortho “why? Everyone lends me your strength!” -> Vil “He normally avoids us as much as possible, and only bother us in a time like this. It’s a little too much.” -> Leona “it’s your own ‘brother’ problem right, just do something yourself.” -> Ortho decided to just do it himself -> he started computer simulation and decided to just use a magic beam to destroy the whole school -> Crowley stopped Ortho and explained to everyone that mass media will soon be on their ass if Shroud disappeared -> Ortho also threatened that if nobody helped, he is going to hack the TV station to remove the mosaic on news and put on “the student that abandoned their friend” instead -> finally everyone agreed to help -> Lilia suggest to ask Sam boy since he knows a lot about the ghost -> Sam said he heard about this from his friends on the other side -> Ortho “is there any item that we can use to solve this…” -> “IN STOCK NOW” -> the ring of extinction -> it can force the ghost to the other world if you put it on her left ring finger while saying “I swear to love you for as long as you are alive.” -> Lilia “so basically, I don’t care if you are dead.” -> but how can we put it on her? -> the only way to do it is to propose her -> Crowley told you to gather all the students he called -> it was Trey, Jack, Jade, Floyd, Leona, Vil, and Sebek -> the plan is to make them propose to the ghost princess -> Riddle “wait a second, I can’t just watch my vice dorm leader do this, I will go too.” -> Crowley “you can’t.” -> Riddle “eh?” ->Crowley “there’s a common trait between all 7 of them, which is... over 180cm in height!!!!!!” -> Riddle “are you saying… that I’m short….!?” ->  Floyd “it’s fine, goldfish is fine as you are now… wait? Where’s little goldfish? Is he gone?” -> Riddle “ha? What do you mean, floy…” -> Floyd “…ah, there you are, you are so tiny that I couldn’t see you down there.”
Tumblr media
Vil “why isn’t Malleus here? Isn’t he pretty tall?” -> Lilia “Malleus is a real prince, if he proposes there is a high chance to success, but even if it’s fake, there’s no way a future king of thorn valley will propose to a ghost, just the fact that he proposed would cause a national problem, so just let it slide and let Sebek do it instead.” -> Leona “hum, saying something so grand, we still don’t know if Malleus would be picked or not.” -> Sebek “Malleus sama is a very handsome man, of course, he will be chosen as the groom! You guys won’t even stand a chance!!!!!!!”  -> Vil and Leona are pretty mad after hearing that and are now determined to do this.
In cafeteria -> Idia is trying his best to scream for help and refuse to marry the princess -> but she won’t listen -> a ghost said 7 people are here to propose to her -> but she said she will refuse them all so Idia can just rest assure here -> Vil started to use his actor skill to act like a prince (change his pronoun from atashi to boku and his way of talking) -> Jack “Vil senpai… can you just lie to someone like that? I think love is supposed to be… more serious. I just, don’t like this con man act…!” -> Vil “too naïve, Jack kun.” -> Jack “Jack ‘kun’!?” -> Vil “this is a competition, to see who can charm the princess first.” -> Leona “disgusting, this is even worse than your normal self.” -> Vil “Leona kun… are you scared that you’ll lose to me?” -> Leona “… hey ghost! Bring the princess out!”
Everyone was brought to the princess -> princess complimented Idia and said how he is her perfect prince ->
Tumblr media
Leona and Vil “I’m definitely better!” -> Jade “those two, completely forgot their goals.” -> princess decided to try and see if they will be her perfect prince -> princess “let’s start with you, the one with a wild style but a cute ear.” -> Leona “Me?” -> she suddenly started singing -> Leona got really confused
Tumblr media
-> she slapped Leona -> princess “I can’t believe it…… To not sing a duet along with the princess!!!! You are not a prince at all!” -> Jack “Leona senpai… he was the only real prince among us though…” -> next is Vil, he passed the singing part perfectly, but then princess asked what is the name of his pet dog -> he doesn’t have one -> Vil got slapped too
Tumblr media
next one up is Jack -> she asked if he knows sword art and how big of a monster have he slain -> Jack “sword? I don’t need something like that, I will use my fist…” -> SLAP
Tumblr media
-> Sebek is next -> she asked if he knows how to play instruments -> Sebek started talking about Malleus nonstop -> SLAP
Tumblr media
-> Trey is next -> She suddenly said “we can’t meet ever again, farewell!” and runs away -> Trey is confused but decided to chase after her -> She “ah, even though I told you we can’t ever meet again! Please, do not confuse me even more” -> Trey “ok it seems like the right choice to chase after her, but what should I do next…” -> Jade “Trey san, you should sing here!” -> Trey “sing!? Now!?” -> Jade “Yes, to create a romantic mood, you have to sing a wonderful song to make her heart melt.” -> Trey “I’m not really good at singing though…! umm…” -> Trey singing “emm, you… your… your veil…. Looks just like a bleached towel… eyes, also, looks like grapes… so juicy~~” -> her “…” -> Trey “…” -> SLAP
Tumblr media
-> Jade “your comparison are a little too peasant, at least say something like your eyes are just like gem stones.” -> Trey “I’m just a high school student? I can’t come up anything like that in this situation!” -> Floyd next -> Floyd “this person just so annoying~~ can I squeeze her?” -> SLAP
Tumblr media
-> Jade’s turn -> He offered her flowers -> Jade “I picked out those flowers myself, I thought you would look great with them.” -> Floyd pointed out those are flowers with strong poison -> Jade “yes, if you just touch them with your barehand, your hand would broke, but it seems like it don’t work with ghosts. I’ve learned.” -> SLAP ->
Tumblr media
Trey “…hey, I just noticed something, to suddenly make someone lived in an all boy boarding school to propose to a princess… isn’t the difficulty a little too high?”
Everyone outside was laughing hard -> Azul, Cater, Deuce, and Lilia decided to help next -> SLAP SLAP SLAP SLAP -> Azul talked too much which makes him unbelievable -> Cater treated everything too lightly -> Deuce got too nervous that he couldn’t talk -> Lilia -> Lilia was too cute that she doesn’t want him -> she complained that why is there no good man left in this world and brought Idia out -> Idia “none of you even had any use at all… everyone was slapped and rolling around like an insect… aren’t you supposed to be popular! You always hype around like an idiot, aren’t you embarrassed by this!?” -> everyone is pretty mad after hearing Idia say that -> but the princess was pretty happy so she decided to make the wedding tonight, midnight. -> Idia screamed for help -> Vil “Isn’t this great, someone picked introverted you as their partner.” -> Leona “yeah, now that I think of it you two are really fitting as a couple.” -> Idia “why--!?” -> Jack “of course, we will get mad after hearing what you said.” -> Idia “Azul!! We are friends of the board game club right?” -> Azul “to think that the hikikomori Idia would get married… I’m so touched I think I’m about to cry… congratulation. I will send you some wedding gift.”
Outside -> Ace was still laughing at what happened -> Crowley “it seems like the only thing we can do now is to find back up grooms!”
That was all for now, man this event is hilarious, especially the part where everyone got slapped, so sad that I couldn’t fit in everyone’s slapped face in here
so I was doing some research after watching movie 6...
...and apparently it was originally written as a comedy
Tumblr media
Yeah, I was surprised, too
Baron Omatsuri is not my favorite One Piece movie—Film Z has too many of my favorite tropes to be usurped from that position—but I do think it is the most daring. Of all the supplemental material I’ve seen and read, it feels the least...One Piece-ish.
Yes, that includes the noodle commercials.
If you haven’t seen the movie and can stomach a little spookiness, do yourself a favor and give it a watch. Unlike movies like Strong World or Z that have the look and feel of a manga arc, Movie 6 transplants the Straw Hat Pirates into a world that doesn’t feel like a One Piece story, taking risks and exploring themes that would never fit in the manga proper.
In addition to the obvious changes in art and animation style, there are supernatural elements that don’t make sense within the One Piece world. None of the Straw Hats win a fight—Luffy included, although he is heavily implied to have killed the big bad at the end. The moral of the movie, if it can be said to have a moral, is if you lose the people closest to you, the answer is to forget about them and make new friends. The story ends with many questions left unanswered and the main drama between the crew unresolved.
And, if you allow me to get philosophical for a moment, I wish there were more movies like it. As I wrote in my review of Novel A, I don’t go to supplemental material or side stories looking for a repeat of what’s in the manga. Oda has written 1000 chapters of One Piece—why not spice things up a little and try something different for a change?
I know the answer isn’t that simple, and by their very nature not all risks will pan out. There will be people who don’t like this movie because it’s different, both in look and tone. But there’s something to be said about a creator putting their heart and soul into a work and having it show in the final product.
Which brings us back to the original premise. How does a movie go from a light-hearted comedy based on a variety show theme to...this
Tumblr media
Baron Omatsuri was directed by Mamoru Hosoda and came out in 2005. To put that into perspective, the movie was in production when the Luffy vs Usopp fight was first seen in the manga. Manga!Luffy had not yet faced the challenge of an inter-crew disputes when the story was being written and boarded, nor did the creative team have the events of Sabaody and Marineford to see how Luffy would react to the loss of his loved ones. They were working without a full understanding of Luffy’s character, and to a lessor extent the character of the Straw Hat Pirates, and it seems like Oda was much less involved In production than has been in movies since Strong World and beyond.
Likewise, Hosoda had just left a tumultuous situation at Studio Ghibli while working on Howl’s Moving Castle, and if this interview is anything to go by (https://instrangeaeonsblog.wordpress.com/2016/04/24/mamoru-hosoda-on-omatsuri-danshaku-animestyle-interview-part-1/) was going through a lot of personal shit when he was brought on as director. The script he was given was originally written like a variety show—something that was carried over into the various trials seen in the final movie—and meant to be a lighthearted affair after the relatively serious Movie 5 (which I have not seen am thus unable to compare tone).
With that backstory in mind, it’s easy to see how the bickering and backbiting between the Straw Hats early in the movie is a metaphor for Hosoda’s time at Ghibli, which is something he admits to in the interview. Movie 6 feels different than any other One Piece movie because it’s the project of a man who has had to endure the loss of those who he was close with, at least in a professional capacity.
There are moments in Movie 6 where Luffy doesn’t feel like Luffy. More than once a member of the Straw Hats ask him to intervene during arguments, moments Luffy either ignores or doesn’t notice. It’s a version of Water 7 where instead of fighting Usopp, Luffy ignores the underlying differences within his crew, and as a result loses everybody.
The structure of the three trials follows a clear path of deterioration within the crew, the initial goldfish scooping game showing the Straw Hats at their best and inciting the jealousy of the Baron, the ring toss sowing discord among the crew even as they snatch a narrow victory, only for them to be utterly crushed in the third and final challenge as they’re unable help one another survive.
It is somewhat implied that the Breaking of the Fellowship(TM) is magical in nature—that like the One Ring, the Lily Carnation was able to influence the Straw Hat’s thoughts and actions, but this is never stated outright and I prefer the more mundane interpretation: That without strong leadership the Straw Hats fell victim to the manipulative machinations of the Baron, and simply self-destructed as a result.  In the end, it’s up to the interpretation of the viewer.
And speaking of things up to interpretation, I love how the Lily Carnation isn’t explained in the slightest. The plant that initially absorbs the Straw Hats looks more like the stem of a devil fruit than a flower, it for some reason rings like a gong when hit, and somehow is able to turn pieces of itself into facsimile of the Baron’s old crew who can somehow move around despite being plans. It’s weird, it’s wonderful, and the element of the unknown works so well in the horror-lite setting.
My personal theory is the island somehow managed to eat a devil fruit which manifests itself as the Lily Carnation (which due to the L/R conflation in Japanese, is pronounced ‘reincarnation’, which I think is a nice touch of foreshadowing that may or may not have been intentional).
(Also, I can’t decide if little chewing animation it makes when it’s eating people or the weird bullseyes it makes when shit gets real are the most terrifying thing in the movie.)
Tumblr media
Hmmm, tasty.
Anyway, this is getting long, so here are some final thoughts:
1) This movie has some low key fantastic outfits. The Straw Hats all look very cool without being over designed like a lot of recent movies. Big hat Robin is of course a fave, and makes me really want to see her in a Carmen Sandiego getup.
2) Screenshots do not do the animation of the movie justice. It’s very fluid and has a lot of excellent expressions/poses, although I admit the 3D is jarring at times. Do not let the art put you off if you haven’t seen it
3) Also, I don’t think there’s any shading? Like at all? The movie does a lot of cool stuff with color instead. For example, the scene where Luffy initially loses to the Baron his skin goes all grey, and I thought it was because he was fighting at night, but it stays grey even in the better lighting of the underground tunnels and stays that way until he finds out the Straw Hats are still alive, where it returns to his normal color
4) There’s an extended Benny Hill-type gag when Luffy first chases after the little mustache pirate that’s perfectly timed to the music, and ends when Luffy just uses his power to grab him. The comedic timing is amazing and it’s probably my favorite funny moment in the movie, of which there are several despite the overall darker tone
5) The extended jungle shot from Nami’s POV? Very cool
6) I love how from the earliest scenes nothing is as it seems. The opening text is Robin reading the map, but the storm that’s seen on screen is the one that sank the Baron’s crew. Likewise the whole fancy city is shown to be fake panels early on, the goldfish catching game is a trap, etc., etc. It does a good job clueing the viewer in early that’s something’s very wrong on the island, even if they don’t realize it at first
7) I don’t think this type of movie would work in modern One Piece without somehow nerfing Luffy. Horror works best when the protagonist is weak and vulnerable, and that fits best with a pre-Gear 2/3 Luffy (same with the rest of the crew, tbh. I was waiting for Nami to use her lightning stick during the games, forgetting it hadn’t been boosted yet).
8) I like how there are four captains on the island representing different levels of loss—the Baron has lost his crew and wants to destroy all others because of it, mustache pirate lost his crew and is willing to put it behind him to make new friends, Luffy has freshly lost his crew and hasn’t decided what path he will go, and coward dad hasn’t lost his crew yet but is at risk if he doesn’t change his cowardly ways
9) I think the reason why Chopper was the first Straw Hat to disappear is he’s the most likely to play the part of peacemaker. He’s also the only crew member needing rescuing at the end of the goldfish scoop game, when Luffy foolishly puts his life at risk trying to save him from drowning, just like he recklessly charges the Baron at the end of the movie. Except that time there was no Sanji to save him, leaving Luffy to get his ass thoroughly kicked
10) This is a very good Halloween movie, and I’m glad I watched it in October
Memories of the past (Part Thirteen)(Caius Volturi)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So there will be some lemony stuff in here, hope you enjoy it! :3
Masterlist
First part Previous part Next part
Word count: 3805
“Nervous?” Heidi asked as she curled my hair. I was sitting in a silk robe after a short yet relaxing bath. The chef had made my favourite food, his famous lasagne with a small chicken salad with mozzarella and pesto on the side and a bottle of the finest white wine to accompany it. Normally a red wine would be more suitable for a lasagne, but in truth, I preferred white wine over red. “Maybe just a little.” I admitted. I looked at myself in the mirror as Heidi placed the last curl over my shoulder. She leant down to watch her masterwork in the mirror and smiled. “Perfect.” She said and soon a small knock could be heard on the door. Heidi rushed to the door. I could not see who it was but soon Heidi returned with an elegant box. “I am guessing this is your outfit for tonight. “ she said as she placed it on the chair besides me. “Will you be alright? I am afraid the Master and Mistress pretty much forbade me for seeing you or helping you in this outfit.” My eyes grew wide at her remark. What kind of outfit did they pick out for me where Heidi was not allowed to see it? “They really are the possessive type, huh?” I asked, trying to lighten the mood. “Hmm, it is just our nature. We only get one chance to be complete with our mate or mates. You are their final piece to their soul and they are yours, even though you might not feel the pull too much yet as you are still human.” She explained as she made her way towards the door, ready to leave the room. “Good luck tonight. And I will see you on the other side, my queen.” She said, a playful smile around her lips as I groaned softly at her. “Don’t call me that, Heidi. And see you soon.” I said as she left the room chuckling softly. She knew I hated it when the guard treated me like I was above them and called me queen or mistress. It felt very unnatural. I took one final glance in the mirror before opening the box and slightly gasping at what was inside it. It was a very revealing lingerie dress made of red silk with a matching thong. A small smirk played around my lips as I quickly put the outfit on and looked at myself in the full body mirror. A small chuckle escaped my lips as I examined the way the dress hugged my curves, yet cheekily hid my most intimate parts. The box also contained a pair of bright red heels, finishing the look completely. These last two weeks had been a continuous cat and mouse game between the three of us. Occasional touches, kisses and outfits had made my longing for them increase drastically, yet we never had taken the next step. The three of us relishing in the sexual tension that hung in the air. But it had been one of my only requests before being turned. I wanted to be close to them on a level fit for lovers, fit for mates. And I guess tonight my wish will come true. After one final look in the mirror I put my robe back on and quickly made my way down the hall towards the wing I shared with my mates. The lights were out when I entered the shared living quarters but instead a pathway towards my room was lightened by many small candles and red rose pedals. A small blush made its way towards my cheek at the effort my mates had put out for me already and I eagerly followed the path. I slowly opened the door to my room, my heartbeat increasing slightly in excitement of seeing my mates again. My room was also lit up by many candles, and the air was filled with the scent of roses, probably due to the many roses and rose pedals spread around the room. I first noticed Athenodora who was sat on my bed on her knees. Her long, blonde locks where curled and hung over her shoulders, covering her breasts. She too was wearing a lingerie type of dress similar to my own, only hers was a deep black. I swallowed once she noticed me, and a seductive smile displayed itself over her cherry coloured lips. I looked to the side and saw Caius leaning against the end of the bed and my eyes widen once more. He looked absolutely ravishing. He was wearing black, tight fitting boxer shorts and a black dress shirt that hung open and his sleeves rolled up. His blonde hair
was ruffled in a sexy way and he… he even had an earring?! A smirk made its way to his lips as he slowly made his way towards me, followed closely by Dora. Their eyes showed the look of a true predator, and I was their prey. “You kept us waiting, my love.” Caius said as he reached me, his fingers gently caressing my cheek. “My apologies, my king.” I whispered back, a played innocent look in my eyes. I knew this was something he enjoyed. He loved being in power, being in control. Caius cocked up an eyebrow while his hand gently moved down my neck and torso towards the piece of rope that held my robe together, hiding the way I looked underneath from them. “Feeling cheeky tonight, love?” Dora asked as she too reached me, her hand gently caressing my hair, letting her slender fingers tangle between my brown locks. “Never, my queen.” I said, looking into her red orbs. Dora chuckled and gently shook her head, knowing very well I was playing innocent. “My little innocent mate. What are you hiding underneath this huh?” she asked as she gently moved behind me, her hand also reaching for the rope. They were about to pull it lose when I stopped them. “Uh, uh.” I said and got out of their grip, walking further into the room, my heels clicking against the marble floor. I felt their eyes piercing in my back as I slowly made my way towards the lit fireplace and the couches besides it. “Let’s not rush too much, my loves.” I said as I ran a hand through my hair, my back still facing them. “Although. It is getting quite warm over here.” I whispered, knowing very well they heard me. I slowly pulled the rope lose and the robe slide down my shoulders, but stopping it from going down further than my elbows. The orange glow of the fire put seductive shadows over my features and I sneaked a peek over my shoulders. I found my two mates looking at me intensely, their usual red orbs now completely black. “Xandria, be careful now. Don’t start a game if you are not willing to play until the end.” Caius said, his voice coarse with lust, sending shivers down my spine. I slowly dropped the robe, giving them a full view of my back and behind before turning around and slowly making my way back towards them, giving them a full view of my front as well. I carefully placed my long brown locks over my breasts as well, making sure they couldn’t see anything naughty just yet. “Caius, who said I had no intend of finishing what I am starting?” I asked as I gently placed my hands against his hard chest, his eyes looking at me intensely, following my every move carefully. I slowly let my hands travel up his torso and towards his shoulders, enjoying the smooth feeling against my hands. I wanted to savour this moment. I wanted to feel and taste every part of their bodies, slowly and as a human for the final time. My hands slowly travelled down his arms, slowly removing the dress shirt as well. Before my hands reached his mine travelled back upwards towards his shoulder and back down his torso and they rested just above his boxers where his arousal was very present. I gently let one of my perfectly manicured nails trace the lines of the V shape up and down before turning towards Dora, earning me a frustrated growl from my male mate. “Buonasera bellissima.” I whispered as I gently cupped her cheek, earning me a playful smirk. “You quite like to play and be a tease huh, little minx?” she asked and I only shrugged my shoulders in innocence. “Well, play time is over.” She growled softly and before I knew it both of them had me pressed against their bodies. My back was pressed against Caius his chest and he was attacking my neck with kisses and gentle nibbles, never breaking the surface of my skin while his hands cupped one of my breasts in his large hands and the other wrapped tightly around my waist, gently caressing my hip. Dora had claimed my lips and her fingers where once again tangled in my hair while her other hand stroked the other side of my hip, slowly raising the bottom of the dress with every stroke. One of my hands tangled itself in Caius’ hair,
trying to keep him as close as possible while my other was wrapped around Dora’s waist, pulling her too as close as possible. Soft moans escaped our lips as the sexual tension only seemed to increase by the minute. Dora soon left my lips and left gender kisses down my neck and towards my chest. “Don’t rip the dress love.” I moaned softly, closing my eyes and leaning my head against Caius’ shoulder, giving him even more aces to my neck. “I won’t. Yet.” She said as she gently moved the fabric to the side exposing my breasts completely. Caius quickly took hold of one of them again and his fingers gently rolled the little bud around while Dora claimed the other with her mouth, savouring the taste of my skin and the feeling of blood rushing towards it while it hardened. Moans escaped my lips soon and a feel of ecstasy flowed through my veins. Dora let my nipple go with a small pop and continued her journey downwards until she kneeled in front of me. Caius his other hand now cupped the other breast as well while he watched his wife intensely. Dora looked up at us both innocently before ripping off my thong. A small gasp escaped my lips as the cool air hit my most sensitive spot that had become soaking wet. “No need for these anymore.” She said as she gently pushed my legs apart a bit. Her lips soon found the inside of my thing and very slowly yet gently she made her way upwards. Caius held me tightly against him, making sure there was no escape for me while I felt his hardened member push teasingly against my now bare bum. “Stay still now for me, darling.” She said, her cool breath hitting my clit teasingly. A small groan escaped my lips and I tried to move forward but Dora held them still. “No cheating now, love.” “You did this when teasing us. Now you have to suffer the consequences.” Caius whispered in my ear before gently nibbling on my earlobe. A slow, sensitive lick down my slit made me weak on my knees. Dora chuckled and gently placed one of my legs over her shoulder, giving her full aces. Her tongue skilfully toyed around with my clit while her nails gently scratched along the curves of my hips and legs. A small groan escaped her lips as my taste hit her tongue and she ate me out as if her life depended on it, not letting a single drop escape her. I moaned loudly and Caius quickly muffled me by pressing his lips against mine. His tongue soon sought entrance and I granted it, no longer able to resist or play coy. My lust and emotions where going into overdrive and I just wanted it all. Caius’ tongue played around mine while Dora’s played and explored me. Slowly I felt a knot in the pit of my stomach and my legs started to shake violently. I tangled my fingers in her hair trying to keep her in place. My hips bucket and with one final tug of her lips I came undone. I moaned loudly and fell against Caius his chest. Dora smirked and gently removed my leg from her shoulder before standing up. She cupped Caius his cheek and brought her lips to his. Their tongues soon danced around, sharing the flavour I left on her lips and Caius growled in satisfaction. Dora pulled away and smirked. “Well she is ready. How about you, my love?” she asked as her hand gently went down his chest and grabbed his member firmly, earning her a growl from Caius. “Our turn.” I said as I moved behind him. I wrapped my hands around his torso and gently stroked up and down his chest while Dora once again sat down on her knees. She kissed his belly and slowly moved downwards. I moved my lips towards his neck, kissing the smooth skin gently. Caius moaned when Dora ripped his boxers away, exposing his member to the air making it twitch in anticipation. Dora smirked and placed her tongue at the base of his shaft, slowly dragging it upwards to the tip. A small growl escaping his lips as she twirled her tongue around the tip as if it was a popsicle. Caius soon gasped for air as she took him in her mouth fully. A stream of Italian curses and praises soon left his lips as he tangled his fingers in her hair while she bobbed her head. She knew exactly
how to play her husband, and how to get him close to the edge. But before he could she released him with a loud pop. She quickly stood up and grabbed me, making me squeal slightly. Dora simply smirked and cupped my cheek. Her lips found mine and soon her tongue invaded my mouth, sharing the taste of both Caius and my arousal left on her tongue. I moaned at the taste and wanted more. I tangled my hand in her hair while the other grabbed her bum, squeezing it gently earning me a moan as well. I pulled away slightly and kissed towards her ear. “And you call me a minx, huh?” I whispered before gently nibbling on her earlobe, earning me a soft moan in my ear. She gently pulled away and grabbed my hand leading me towards the bed. She laid down and pulled me towards her, her lips soon finding mine as her hands moved towards my bum, gently smacking it making me groan. I felt Caius crawl behind me and he wrapped his arms around my waist, kissing my bare shoulders while his hand slowly made its way towards my folds. I kissed down her chest while propping my bum upwards so Caius had full aces as well. I gently moved her dress to the side and kissed her full breasts, avoiding her little buds just to tease her. “Xandria, stop teasing now.” She growled softly making me smirk. But that smirk was soon wiped off my face when Caius inserted a finger in me, making my back arch. I moaned softly as he started to move his fingers in a steady pace. I attacked her breasts in my lust, completely forgetting about being a tease, I just wanted to taste her, feel her. I gently flicked one of her nipples with my tongue before closing my lips around it earning me a moan from her lips. Dora tangled her fingers in my hair once more, keeping me as close as possible. I was about to make my way down her belly towards the place I truly wanted a taste off but she stopped me. I looked at her with a confused look in her eyes. “Not yet, love.” She said before claiming my lips while Caius added another finger, gently sucking on my shoulder now. I pulled away and pouted. “But I want it.” I said as I gently caressed her leg, slowly moving further upwards. Dora bit her lip, looking unsure for the first time since I had known her. “I am just afraid I might hurt you if I accidentally close my legs or something while enjoying it.” She whispered as she gently stroked my cheek. “Oh, I know something.” Caius said as he removed his fingers, making me whine at the lack of contact. Caius gently moved me upwards against his chest, his left hand gently wrapped around my neck while he moved the fingers of his right hand towards my mouth. As if on instinct I opened my mouth and gently licked his fingers clean. With a small pop I released his fingers and I was rewarded with a peck on my lips. “Good girl.” Caius said as he gently released me and moved to his wife, ripping her thong off as she had done to both him and I. “Caius, what are you planning?” She asked, worry still present in her tone and on her face. “Relax my love. You won’t hurt her.” Caius moved behind her and placed his hands on the back of each knee, gently moving them apart and holding them tightly. His face buried in her blonde locks and hair. “Hold onto my arms and let our little mate have a taste. I got you.” He whispered lovingly before giving me a nod, a sign for me to continue. I leaned forward and captured her lips with my own. She answered my kiss slowly, allowing her to relax again. I slowly allowed my lips to explore down her neck, her chest and all the way to the place I wanted a taste off the most. Just as she had done with me I started with gently kisses on the insides of her thighs, slowly moving upwards, only to skip on her folds and kiss down her other thigh. I felt both Caius and Dora’s eyes watching my every move. Dora bit her lip, trying to move her hips slightly but Caius held her in an iron grip, both to tease her and to make sure she doesn’t accidentally crush my head between her thighs. Although I must admit, that would not be a bad way to die at all. I slowly made my way back
upwards and gently flicked her but with my tongue, earning me a moan. “Xandria, oh.” She moaned as her nails dug into Caius his arms. Caius whispered sweet nothings in her ear while I took my time to explore her folds, licking up her sweet taste like an addict while slowly adding two fingers. I gently moved my fingers against the most sensitive spot within her while at the same time sucking on her little but, occasionally swirling my tongue around it. Caius really had to use almost all his strength to keep his wife still. Her nails dug harshly in his arms making small cracks appear. With one small suck and final thrust of my fingers she screamed in ancient Greek, her mother language, and her legs shook violently as she came undone. I smirked and licked up every last bit of it before moving upwards. This time I claimed Caius his lips and let him have a taste of his mate, letting it swirl around our tongues. Caius growled in satisfaction, holding me close. Dora growled and pulled me towards her, claiming my lips making me moan softly. “Ti amo tanto.” She whispered against my lips, I smiled and pecked her lips. “Ti amo, Athenodora.” I whispered against her lips. She smiled and soon turned me around, pulling me against her, my back against her chest. “She is all yours now, love.” Dora said looking at Caius making me bite my lip. “Finalmente.” Caius said as he gently pushed my legs apart and laid down in between them. I felt the tip of his member lining up to my entrance and a small groan of anticipation left my chest. Dora wrapped her arms around me and held me close while her lips attacked my neck. “Pronto, amore mio?” he whispered, looking me in the eye. “Si, mio re.” I said. I wanted to feel him inside me, wanted him as close to me as possible. Wanted them both as close to me as possible for all eternity. And finally, with a kiss filled with his love and lust, he pushed past my folds and into me, filling me to my core. I released his lips and gasped at the feeling. It was a perfect fit while stretching me out at the same time. Caius growled at the warmth that surrounded him and claimed his wife’s lips. Dora eagerly answered his kiss while I grabbed his hand, intertwining our hands. Caius pulled away and looked me into my eyes. He slowly started to move his hips, the tip of his member gracing my most sensitive spot every time. Dora moved her hand down and started to trace small circles in rhythm with Caius’ thrusts around my bud with her fingers. It didn’t take long or my second orgasm rippled through me, but my mates where relentless. Caius’ thrusts become more violent while Dora kept playing around with my bud while their mouths and tongues had a battle for dominance with each other. Moans escaped the lips of us three and no one cared about volume of it. Let the world know how much we loved each other. How much pleasure we could bring each other. The world no longer existed to us in that moment. We had each other and that was enough for now and until forever. I had moved my free hand behind me and started to return the favour to Dora’s bud, knowing very well my hand might break but I no longer cared. I wanted her to feel good, to share the pleasure Caius and her where bringing me. My final orgasm also brought Caius and Dora over the edge making my fingers and back soaking wet while being filled up at the same time.
The two vampires couldn’t help themselves anymore. Their inner beast took control over them. They each bit Xandria on the opposite part of her neck, mixing their venom with her blood while gulping some of her blood down as well. She was theirs, for now and for forever. And the time had come for their little mate to join them fully. To rule besides them. To love them forever as they would love her.
If Your Done With Embarrassing Me On Your Own Won't You Go Ahead and Tell Them
Oh my god y'all have just blown me away. I was not expect so much positive feed back. I was screaming so much I could not Believe how much you guys liked that. And so many people are asking to be tagged in the next part thank you guys so much. Also can I just say moving from Google Docs to Tumblr was a bitch to do and I hated it. But y'all inspired me so much that I decided to just go ahead and type it up on tumblr and move it to Google Docs afterwards.
This part's title is from "Impossible" by Shontelle. The song in this part is "Young Volcanoes" by Fall Out Boy
This is Part 2 of my fic based on @misashabunbun 's Love of Three.
Part 1
Tagging List (I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE I NEED ONE.):
@thestressmademedoit @colorfulmongerpsychicranch @lizziejay @indecisive-mess-named-me @captainmac6 @luveverything12 @kris-pines04 @brokenwordsarehard2
To say Marinette was busy would be an understatement. Between working with Luka and Uncle Jagged producing her album as Neon Titanium and her friends insisting that they help heal her brokenheart she felt like she was caught in a whirl wind. But it was nice she had fun. Luka and Uncle Jagged knew how to turn the hard work of producing music into a fun experience while still being efficient. And her friends they had her laughing harder than she laughed in while and smiling brighter than their resident sunshine child. They did everything they could think off.
She went shopping with Chloe and Kagami. She watched horror movies with Alix, Nathaniel, and Adrien. Marc and Luka let her rant to them which turned into a crying session which then turned into a meditation session. And on top of that her and Peter hung out as well. Whether they just worked in silence together on their respective projects or they were pranking Uncle Tony, kwami did she have fun renaming the protocols on the Iron Man suit. Soon Peter easily fit his way into her group of friends abd he fit in perfectly. Everyone got along with him.
But he wasn't the last to join their ragtag group. Everyone was shocked when Felix Graham De Vanily came to their group offering Marinette condolences on her lost engagement. He was sincere and courteous so of course no one was surprised when Marinette invited him to join in the currently planned game of dodgeball, except maybe Felix himself. But nonetheless he joined in the competition and found himself hanging out with the rest of the group as well. Soon his cold off-standish demeanor was traded for sly smirks and slick humor that nobody caught at first except Marinette and Peter who would laugh openly at his responses.
Soon enough Felix was a part of the group and felt comfortable letting his guard down. It help that they didn't treat him as the Graham De Vanily heir or Adrien's asshole cousin. They treat him like Felix, the boy who while very proper cried watching Big Hero 6. Also the boy who slam dunked on Adrien without breaking a sweat. Yet he still is the master of backhanded compliments and insulting people with a smile and having them thank him. He could truly be himself and he was thankful.
And while he easily was getting along with everyone, anyone with easy could see he had a soft spot for Peter and Marinette in general. It was in the way his face would soften when looking at them. Or the way he would smile when Marinette would get excited over something. Or the way he always paid attention to Peter when he was geeking out. It was the way he softly teased them over their height, Marinette being the shortest of the group and Peter only being taller than Marinette and Alix. And everyone knew Marinette's heart was still healing, so it came no surprise when Felix and Peter started dating. And while everyone was happy for them no one, but Marinette herself missed the looks of longing both boys would send towards her.
Believe it or not Felix was not the most surprising addition to their friend group. No the last addition came soon after Marinette formally did an interview after too much press took notice of Damian Wayne's fiancee being seen for the first time in almost a year, in New York of all places.
She remembered Uncle Tony setting up the interview with someone he trusted. She was glad that this was only an interview as Damian Wayne's (ex) fiancee and not MDC or Neon Titanium. She can only imagine how big a deal it will be when she reveals. But that was future Marinette's problem. Present Marinette had to focus on what to say without giving too much details because no matter how much he deserved it, she didn't want to throw Damian to wolves like that. She settled on saying that she was going through some things and no longer was content in Gotham. She claimed that she decided it was in her best interest to leave, but she didn't want to make a big deal about which is why nothing had been said until now.
The interview went well and everyone accepted her answers. It was released about a month after she left Damian and two weeks since Peter and Felix started dating. She still got news alerts for Gotham so she was waiting with baited breath for her interview to reach the Gotham, but it never seemed to. No announcements from WE or the Wayne family in general. She couldn't say it didn't hurt that no one even realized she was gone yet. But what hurt more was when 2 weeks after her interview she got an alert from Gotham Gazette saying the Damian claimed they set a date for their wedding. She cried that day. How could he not even notice she was gone? Was he so used to lying about her and their relationship that he didn't even give a second thought to what he was saying any more? And while she despaired, she relished in the fact that her friends did not let her be alone. Her face was buried in Peter's neck, she was sat on Felix's lap, Chole was threading her fingers through her hair, her feet laid over Peter legs and settled on Marc's, Adrien sat on the floor in front of Felix a hand rest on her back and everyone gathered around as close as possible trying to physically reassure her. Luka was even humming softly. She appreciated all the love amd support she had and soon she was feeling much better. Eventually it turned into a puppy pile napping session and if she ended up curled up between Peter and Felix? Eh, nobody said anything.
It was these series of events that led to their newest and by far strangest addition to their friend group. Here it was, two days after Damian's announcement and here in front of her stands no other than Jonathan Kent, Damian's best friend.
"Hey, Mari. It's been a while, huh?" She could admit Jon looked nervous. The way he wouldn't meet her eyes and how his hand was rubbing his neck. But him bring nervous did nothing to calm her nerves about why he was even here.
Marinette took a deep breath and drew as much of her inner Ladybug as she could. "Why are you here, Jonathan?"
Jon flinched at how she used his full name. "I'm so sorry, Nette. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you. I'm sorry I didn't push harder. You were my friend too. I should have checked on you. Damian was such a good liar, I never knew. I should have known but I didn't and that doesn't excuse the fact that I wasn't there for you." Jon took a deep breath and finally met her eyes before speaking again. "But I'm going to do better, Nette. Whatever you need just say the word. Even if it means leaving. When we saw your interview Dad told Uncle Bruce to make sure his family was in order especially his youngest. He didn't give any details and Uncle Bruce got offended. I guess he did end up talking to Damian, but Damian doubled down on his lies and his family is believing him. But I know better because I saw what you said and I know even that wasn't the whole truth. So I want you to know I'm on your side."
Marinette was silent for a minute she study him and his words. The way she was looking at him made Jon feel like his whole soul was being judged, but he didn't dare look away. He needed her to know he meant it and that he was truly sorry for not being for. After a minute that felt like hours Marinette smiled softly at him. "I could always appreciate a hug from a friend." She held her arm open and Jon surged forward and hugged her tightly lifting her off the ground.
Marinette giggled a bit before he set her down. "Thanks, Jon for being here for me. I know Damian is you best friend-"
"He lost that right when he decided to lie to me repeatedly for his own benefit." Jon looked uncharacteristically upset at the fact.
"Well if you're in need of some more good friends, I know a group you should meet. Come on, we're about to have a pool day. I'm sure I have some swim trunks I've designed that you could probably fit. "
After they changed intl their respective swimwear, Mari led Jon to her Uncle Tony's pool where the rest of her friends were already waiting. "Hey guys! I'd like you to meet my friend Jon. He's in need of some good company."
Those who recognized Jon looked up surprised before see his nervous fidgeting and hearing Marinette's last sentence before nodding in understand. It was Peter who spoke up first. "Well any friend of Mari's is welcome with us. Come on we were about to play chicken fight!" And just like that their pool party was in swing. The played a couple pool games and had some snacks before Marinette decided to play some music. Soon a familiar tune was playing over the speakers.
When Rome's in ruins
It was Chole who started singing along first sitting laying on one of the pool chairs. In between Alix and Kagami.
We are the lions
Free of the colosseum.
In fields of poison
We're anitvenom
We're the beginning of the end.
Soon Alix was singing the next part as Chloe finished the first part.
Tonight, the foxes hunt the hounds
It's all over now
Before it has begun
We've already won
Luka was quick to pick up the chorus while trying to get everyone to join in with him.
We are wild
We are like young volcanoes
While everyone was distracted with singing Luka had Adrien and Jon sneak with him behind the girls in the pool chair. Each of them grabbed one and threw them in the water. Luka grabbed Kagami, Adrien grabbed Chloe and Jon grabbed Alix.
We are wild
Americana, exotica
Do you wanna feel a little beautiful, baby?
As everyone else's singing tapered off into laughing, Marinette picked up the next part solo as she walked to the diving board and climbed up.
Come on, make it easy, say I never mattered
Run it up the flag pole,
She ended her singing with a cannonball into the pool. Peter picked it up from his place in Felix's arms.
We will teach you how to make boys next door out of assholes
He sung his verse looking at Felix the whole time, who scoffed jokingly when Peter winked at him, but gave a him a kiss after he was done singing. Marc and Nathaniel picked up where he left off dueting together.
Tonight, the foxes hunt the hounds
And it's all over now
Before it has begun
We've already won
Soon everyone was singing along again to the chorus playing around splashing each other.
We are wild
We are like young volcanoes
We are wild
Americana, exotica
Do you wanna feel a little beautiful, baby?
Soon everybody had calmed down slightly singing a little quieter. Marinette her self was floating on her back towards the center of the pool. Smiling at all her support around her.
We are wild
We are like young volcanoes
We are wild
Americana, exotica
Do you wanna feel a little beautiful, baby?
As the song ended Jon was the first to speak. "What the fuck is in the water in Paris that makes y'all so talented?"
Peter laughed as he easily agreed, "That's what I said!"
Adrien chuckled at the Americans in their group antics. "To be fair, Felix is from London and Kagami is from Japan."
"Still! That is crazy. And Marinette I never knew you could sing like that!" Jon looked over towards the bluenette, his eyes softening at her.
Marinette giggled. "Neither did the rest of the world until Neon Titanium featured in Luka's last single."
"What?!" Jon exclaimed. "You're Neon Titanium?! I loved that song! Nette you're even more amazing than I thought."
Luka threw his hand up saying "Here, here." Making Marinette blush as all her friends joined in on complimenting her.
About a 3 weeks later, Marinette found herself working on a dress for her debut as Neon Titanium which uncle Tony insisted she do at a gala he's throwing. Which she suspects he's throwing just for her to debut because there was absolutely no gala planned before.
That was what she was doing when Jon, Felix, and Peter found her. It didn't take long for Jon to fit in with group. And with how often he stayed with them in New York instead of going back to Metropolis, no one was surprised when he started dating Peter and Felix. Marinette was happy for them even though it seemed like everyone was in happy relationships but her. But she knew she still had some things to work out before returning to the dating scene.
As they approached Marinette paused her sketching to look at her friends. "What's up guys? You needed something?"
The 3 boys looked at each other before Peter spoke up. "Yeah, actually. We wanted to tell you something." He rubbed the back of his neck before letting out a sigh. "We like you Marinette. A lot. And we would love for you to date us."
Marinette could feel the rejection on her tongue, but before she could say a word Jon cut her off.
"Let us finish first Nette. Please. After we're done you can tell us to never bother you again, but just let us get this out." Jon pleaded at her. Marinette just nodded and let them continue.
"We all like you a lot," Felix started his words very sincere. "But we all know that your still healing. We only told you because we thought it would be fair for you to know."
It almost seemed as they had planned and rehearsed for this because Peter effortlessly picked up after Felix. "We're not trying to guilt you into dating us because at the end of the day it is still you decision. And we know it may be some time before your ready to even consider dating us, but we're willing to wait."
Jon grabbed her hands as he prepared to finish them out. "We just want you to know how amazing we think you are. We'll be beyond lucky if you decide to date us when you're ready to make that choice. And until you are we're still your friends and we'll continue helping you heal and be better how ever you want us to. And if you decide you don't see us that way we'll still be some of your closest friends because having you in our lives is a blessing Nette."
Soon they all seemed to be holding one of her hands as they finished what they had to say. Marinette had silent tears streaming down her face, but the big smile she had eased away their worries. She pulled them into a tight hug for a moment before pulling back.
"You guys are the absolute best friends a girl can have." She smiled at them gratefully. "You're right that I'm not ready yet, but when I am, you guys will be the first people I consider dating. Promise. Now do you guys wanna see the designs I'm considering for my reveal?"
As the boys gathered around Marinette for her to show them her sketchbook she thought to herself with a smile.
I might not be quite okay yet, but with all the great people I have on my side, I know I will be soon.
Love Like You: Ch.1
Here it is! The Eddsworld fic I've been writing for 3 days :D. This is a platonic soulmates fic with soul marks and so far, the main focus is on platonic yandere Tord & Edd. This is going to be a multi-chapter fic and there won't be any ships. All pairings are platonic. I've yet to decide Tord's age, but I'm thinking maybe 26? Edd, Tom, and Matt are 17. Also, I have big events planned out but everything in between is vague so ideas are appreciated.
The title is from the su song Love Like You, but it might change as I figure things out and if I find something that fits better. I hope you guys like this! <3 <3 <3
_______________________________
The three marks practically covered his entire forearm. Although they were three different flowers, they just clicked. They fit so well that unless you were close up, it looked like one soul mark. Edd liked that. It perfectly described his relationship with his three friends. Or, soon to be three friends. He had hoped he’d find the third one soon. Two of the marks belonged to Tom and Matt, who he found when he was young. He felt so complete when he brushed against them on the school’s playground. It was as if they filled a gap in his soul that he never realized he was missing.
Edd’s third mark was a mix of black and red today. It was a stark contrast from the mix of light blue and yellow of Tom’s and Matt’s marks. Hesitantly, Edd brushed his fingers against the top mark and winced. A sharp jab of dull anger and agitation welled up into his chest. Ah, something had really set off his friend today. He moved his hand lower down his forearm to trace over Tom and Matt’s soul marks instead. A wave of calm and contentedness swept the echoes of the anger away and he pulled his hoodie sleeve down.
While he liked running his hand over his marks as he did his schoolwork, he didn’t want to continuously touch his top mark if his friend was having an awful day. It would affect his own mood. He worried that if he did, then his friend would touch their own mark and then both of them would stay in a vicious cycle of intense negative emotions. It was a real concern as it’s happened a few times before.
Edd often keeps his hand pressed against his top mark, basking in his friend’s good mood. Especially when he’s had a rough day at school. Of course, his friend took notice once as they pressed their hand against their mark and their emotions intensified. Slowly, his mood lifted and when he concentrated enough, he was able to send a “Hi!” with as much warmth as he could. No matter what soul mark a person had, they were always able to talk to their soulmate if both of them were touching the mark at the same time and concentrated hard enough. He didn’t do this much with Tom and Matt as he saw them practically every day and had their numbers, but it was rare he was able to talk to his friend.
It was also rare because his friend didn’t touch their mark at the same time as him often.
After sending his greeting, his top mark changed to a deep white mixed with dark pink. Edd had laughed seeing that. It wasn’t often his friend was surprised. And seeing the affection mixed in made warmth fill his chest.
“Hello!” His friend sent back. “You sound young.”
Edd laughed. Of all the things his friend could have said, they had to comment on his voice. His friend didn’t sound bad themselves. Their voice was deep, with an accent he couldn’t place. Still, he wasn’t going to assume their gender. Only looking out for one type of person could cause him to miss who they were.
“No! I’ll be an adult soon,” He sent back, tongue sticking out in focus. “You have a… nice voice.!”
“Thank you. Listen, I have to go now. But I'll find you. I promise.” A tinge of regret passed through him, but they sent him another wave of affection through their mark.
Quickly, before they moved their hand, Edd sent, “I can’t wait to meet you!” along with his best attempt to project his own affection and happiness to them. He didn’t know if it worked, but their emotions dulled.
In hopes that they’d be able to do that again soon, he kept his hand pressed against his mark for ten more minutes until his mom called him downstairs for dinner.
So yeah, he wasn’t going to do that right now. At least, not until he checks later if his friend’s mood changes.
If that short conversation wasn’t proof enough, his friend was definitely older than him. Perhaps not old enough to be his third grandparent, but certainly older than him. Plus, he’s had that mark on his arm since he was born. All three of his marks were platonic soul marks, which were the flower type. Most often, these signaled platonic love. Edd took that to mean that all three of his soul marks were his best friends.
Romantic soul marks were often different, but as he and neither of his friends had one, he doesn’t know much about them since he never bothered to look into it.
Half of his childhood had been spent figuring out what his and his friends' marks were. After they learned how to read, they spent at least an hour inside the library searching for flowers that matched their marks. Finding them was difficult, but they were pretty sure his top marks were Heliotropes! And according to the flower guide they found, it meant eternal love/devotion. It was sweet and had him convinced that his friend would be his best friend.
The second mark on his arm, Tom’s, were Chrysanthemums. “You’re a wonderful friend,” the book had said it meant. His third and final mark, Matt, was Lisianthus. They represent appreciation/admiration for a friend, gratefulness, and charisma.
Unlike Edd, Tom and Matt only had two flower marks. Tom’s first mark, Edd, was Asters. It had meant a form of deep emotional love and affection, along with the message of “take care of yourself for me”. It was very fitting, A Hyacinth, Matt’s mark, was Tom’s last mark. Interestingly enough, under the picture of the flower, the book just said “I’m sorry. Please forgive me.” Other books just said they meant sorrow, regret, and forgiveness. Any time Edd asks about it, Tom clams up and asks him to leave it alone. Some things were just not meant to be shared.
Matt’s first mark, Edd, was Morning Glories. They meant affection and love. His second mark, Tom, was Daisy’s. While meaning loyal love and purity, there was also a deeper meaning of keeping a secret between friends. Again, there was a story there. Edd didn’t know what the secret could be, but based on his friends' reactions when he asked them, he left it alone.
Each of their marks was on their left forearms and except for Tom’s single Hyacinth, they were in bunches with multiples of the same flower.
Edd loved them, he really did. When he doubted his friendship with them, he’d look at his marks and remind himself that’s what they thought of him. It was just hard sometimes, to remember that he was loved. Sometimes he felt like an imposter, like he didn’t deserve their love. If asked why, he wouldn’t be able to put it into words. It was just how he felt at times.
Late at night when he wasn’t feeling too great, when stress just ate at him, he’d run his fingers over his arm, feeling his mark and whatever emotions his friend was feeling. He’d remind himself that if nothing else, the Heliotropes showed that his friend would always love him. Oftentimes, his friend was feeling content at night, and feeling that while stressed really helped him calm down.
Though on rare nights, his friend fed into his stress, morphing his feelings into a wave of intense anger as he rubbed his mark. He hated those nights but could never bring himself to move his hand away from his mark.
Edd sighed and put his pencil down. He didn’t feel like finishing his schoolwork anymore. Maybe Tom and Matt could come over and play games with him?
Meanwhile, in another country, Tord was pacing back and forth in his office. “Fucking incompetent, pieces of shit,” he hissed through clenched teeth. “They had one job! One easy, little job and still they fucked it up!”
He ran a shaky hand through his hair. As the job truly was an easy one, how this happened, Tord didn’t have a clue. All those two idiots had to do was go into the government building, collect the information from the mole he planted there, and bring it back. That was it! Tord could’ve done it himself if he wasn’t so busy. And yet, the two morons were still caught, very nearly giving away the identity of his mole.
He wished he could bring the two back and torture them for this. But alas, they were already dead. Tord couldn’t afford either of them giving up any information on his army so he had them exterminated before they could be questioned. It didn’t stop him from wanting to smash something.
A knock on his door caused Tord to pause. As he took a deep breath, he stuck two fingers into the sleeve of his left arm to briefly trace his mark. He couldn’t see the color, but a cool flow of calmness and excitement pricked his rage. It was enough to stop him from shouting.
“You may enter.”
Paul entered the room, which wasn’t a surprise. He was one of the few who weren’t scared shitless to bother him when he was in a rage.
“You’re going on a vacation.”
“Excuse me,” Tord said flatly, a scowl on his face.
Paul continued on as if he wasn’t in danger of being shot in the foot. Well, to be fair, he wasn’t. Tord would never get rid of one of the more competent people in his army and Paul fully knew it. “With all due respect, don’t even try to argue with me. I could practically hear you grinding your teeth from outside the door and you’re going to wear a hole in your carpet. At this point, if you don’t rest, you’re going to give yourself stress ulcers.”
Closing his eyes, Tord took another deep breath and counted to ten. For good measure, he shoved his fingers into his sleeve again to press against his mark. The calmness and excitement soothed his rage as he said with an even voice, “And who else agrees with you?”
“The only name I’ll give up is Pat. I’m not stupid enough to think you won’t take your anger out at anyone else. Get ready, the plane leaves tonight.”
“You really aren’t going to give me enough time to sort anything out?”
Paul shot him an annoyed look. “No, because knowing you, you’ll just get too sucked into your work and not pack. I’ll take care of anything urgent.” He saluted Tord before leaving.
Tord rubbed his temples as he muttered, “He didn’t even tell me where I was going.” He dropped into his seat and yanked his desk drawer open. Leaning back in his chair, he lit a cigar and planned countless scenarios of his “vacation”.
A small part of his mind hoped he could find the owner of his mark. They seemed so nice compared to him.
Knowledge of his leave was no doubt spreading through his base like a wildfire, so he had no doubt no one would bother him. His soul mark was safe from prying eyes, so he rolled up his sleeve and traced the outline of the Sunflowers. His face morphed from a scowl to a small smile. His beloved was still feeling calm and excited. He wondered what they were up to.
The Sunflowers lived up to their name as they truly did bring warmth to his life. They were supposed to mean adoration and loyalty. He hadn’t met them yet, but considering they were a kid, the sunflowers were fitting. It’d be even more apparent once he met them.
Tord’s smile dropped. He really wanted to find them, get to know them, and fill their bond. But what about his army? So many people wanted him dead and in no good conscience could he drag a kid into this mess. He never allowed anyone under eighteen to join and from the short talk he had with his beloved, they sounded too young to be eighteen. People could say what they wanted about him, but he refuses to have child soldiers.
If he found them, he’d have to bring them back here. Hiding them here was the only way he could keep them safe.
With that train of thought, Tord sat up. Already a plan was forming in his mind. Nothing could be concrete until he met them, but he’d have an empty room ready for him near his own. Just in case he found them on this trip. Chances were slim but he hated not being prepared.
With that in mind, he left his office to go pack. The thought of finding them made this trip a little more bearable.
