Another Fic for @candcweek !!! This one is independent to the "Kiss and Marry" multi chapter one I've got going -- in fact, it's part of a different universe. A modern AU I'm calling Family Of Nerds (I made a post a post it). Join C+C as they have a little picnic date at sunset.
Fandom: The Silmarillion
Pairing: Tyelkormo/Curufin (implied)
Tags/Warnings: Modern AU, Family Of Nerds AU, Motorcycles, Stargazing, Implied Incest, Ambiguous Relationships, Hurt/Comfort, Fluff
Word Count: 1k
Summary: “At about eight years old, Tyelkormo had become obsessed with outerspace and astronomy, spending many hours in their backyard with a small telescope. Little Curvo often joined him - sometimes even sneaking out past his bedtime - to observe the twinkling lights and listen to the history his brother read about in his library books. Stargazing had become a private tradition for the two of them.”
AO3 A/N: This is set in my “Family of Nerds'' universe. My Tumblr blog @thecoolblackwaves has a post explaining it - basically, it’s a modern AU where Feanor, a philologist, and Nerdanel, an arts professor, have raised their kids to be their fully authentic, artistic, nerdy selves. Tyelko is a bow and arrow wielding forest ranger and gym bro, Curvo is a ballet dancer who failed to go professional and now creates jewelry and accessories for dance companies instead. I’m hoping to continually add to this universe! Not all installments are slash/incest, neither are they linear, but with this one it’s implied. Also I know absolutely nothing about motorcycles or astronomy so sorry for any inaccuracies.
……….
Tyelkormo’s favorite brother needed cheering up, and by god was he going to do it!
He wasn’t sure what exactly had happened between Curvo and Angrod, but whatever it was, they had both stormed out of their grandfather’s house visibly upset. While he generally got on with that particular half-cousin, Curufin always came first for him. Always. So he tailed him home and watched closely as his little brother sulked around the kitchen - not eating anything, though he eyed some chips - and then took a rather violent sounding shower.
Curufin tended to deny himself food when his emotions were in turmoil. A leftover habit from ballet classes, he suspected. Even though he wanted nothing more than to eat away his feelings, and was no longer required to maintain a ruthlessly flawless physique, he would instead choose to punish himself. Tyelkormo wasn’t having it.
He snuck around the house to gather his supplies, careful not to alert his brother to the opening and closing of doors. He then went into Curufin’s bedroom and laid out warm, comfortable clothes, along with his own leather motorcycle jacket and spare boots.
“What are you doing?”
Curufin’s voice, though flat, held no malice as he moped in with a towel around his waist. Tyelkormo considered this a private victory. Even when he felt like shit, Curvo awarded him and him alone his patience and the softer, more vulnerable sides of his personality.
“I thought I could take you on a ride for a while. It’s a beautiful night, and I want to spend time with you.”
“Are you gonna ask me what happened once I’m trapped next to you going eighty miles an hour?”
“No, I won’t ask unless you want me to. And only seventy-five, don’t wanna deal with state troopers.”
Curufin snorted, then he nodded. He shut the door and dropped his towel, casual nudity not bothering him, and got dressed.
They wheeled the bike out of the garage, Tyelkormo giving it a kickstart. Curufin secured his helmet and sat behind him, holding on tight as they peeled out of the driveway. Sharp winds whipped around their bodies and twilight glittered across the horizon.
Tyelkormo pulled into a fast food drive-thru despite his brother’s feeble protests. He also paid for their meals, despite louder protests, and drove them down scenic country roads to a secluded field.
He unpacked a picnic blanket from one of his saddle bags and heard Curvo snort in surprise. Grinning to himself, he also pulled out the candle he had nicked from the dining room table and lit it with a flourish, setting it safely within a wide metal dish and laying it in the center of their blanket.
Curufin was giggling uncontrollably now, pink in the face, looking light and happy. He gracefully fell into a seated position and divied out their cheeseburgers and french fries.
“Sorry this isn’t chocolate covered strawberries and wine, or anything, but I was starving,” Tyelkormo said, laughing as well.
“It’s fine, I prefer this anyway. When did you come up with the idea for a picnic?” Curvo asked curiously as he drowned his fries in honey mustard sauce. Tyelko wrinkled his nose.
“While you were showering. I wanted to take you out to dinner, but I also wanted to be alone with you, and it’s so nice outside today. Seemed like a good compromise.”
“It is,” Curufin reassured. “This is nice. Peaceful.”
They fell silent for some time, admiring the last streaks of sunset while they finished their food. Around them, insects chirped and buzzed, and a few fireflies emerged from the grasses.
Curufin laid back with a sigh, arms crossed behind his head. Tyelkormo quickly joined him after blowing out the candle, cuddling close to his side.
“Will you tell me about the constellations?” his younger brother asked.
It was a question he’d heard many times over the years. At about eight years old, Tyelkormo had become obsessed with outerspace and astronomy, spending many hours in their backyard with a small telescope. Little Curvo often joined him - sometimes even sneaking out past his bedtime - to observe the twinkling lights and listen to the history his brother read about in his library books. Stargazing had become a private tradition, the vast night skies had witnessed the making of many intimate memories between them.
“Well, there’s Orion-Orome, the Hunter. He rides a white horse, Pegasus-Nahar - the one right there, to the left - and leads the hunt for evil creatures. Sometimes he’s accompanied by a pack of dogs led by Canis-Huan Major, the one stretching out its leg.”
“That’s who you named Huan after, right?” Curufin asked, curling into his side. Tyelkormo put his arm around his shoulders and played with the ends of his hair with his free hand.
“Yeah, that’s right! The best boy in the whole world. You know, he once helped the big constellation, Andromeda-Luthien, to defeat Cepheus-Morgoth. She was said to be incredibly beautiful, and sang a song that enchanted him so she could steal the jewels from his crown, and rode away on the dog’s back with her husband Perseus-Beren. It’s that one to the right straight ahead.”
“Sounds unfair to me,” Curufin muttered, “Stealing someone’s symbol of power. Where did she go?”
“No one knows, they disappeared into the night, never to be seen again. Some say that when great heroes die, they turn into stars themselves. For example, Cygnus-Elwing. She sacrified herself to save her people and turned into a bird flying the skies, then became a star with her husband, Auriga-Earendel. There’s a myth that once a year, they board his ship and sail across the skies as a bright shooting star.”
Curufin hummed, cuddling closer. He kissed his brother’s cheek.
“I don’t know how people come up with this stuff. I just like the way the light shines from them, it’s beautiful.”
“It is,” his brother agreed. “Like you.”
“Oh, sap. Knock it off.”
“Never. Oh look, Curvo, there’s a shooting star now!”
Closing his eyes and smiling, Curufin rested his hand over Tyelkormo’s heart.
“I’ve got everything I need.”
“Oh, my god. You call ME sappy?”
The End :)

This is a story of something that just happened to me right now but it has 0 base in reality (you’ll know more if you read it) but I needed to vent about it to someone and my friends are all at work RN (lame) so I’m turning to my friends on tumblr.
WARNING: discussed are paranoia, ghosts, flesh pedestrians/skin walkers - do not interact if this is not your jam. IT’S NOT MY JAM EITHER BUT ITS HAPPENING TO ME (cue paranoia)
Ok so we all already know that I’m a Dumb Bitch(TM) who spends too much time on TikTok, instagram, the likes, and I have somehow fallen into the paranormal side of the internet.
Don’t ask, I don’t know.
Anyways, I had just been watching a series on TikTok about a house in Wales called Hell Fire (but in Welsh, I cannot remember the name, I’m sorry) which has been described as the Welsh version of the Amityville house. The Hell Fire house talked a lot about ghosts/poltergeists etc consuming or idk feeding off of the electricity from the house. OK?
Now, stay with me.
Last week I watched some videos on instagram about flesh pedestrians/skin walkers which are…idk….entities that take on the form of a human and use the cries and screams of their last victim to LURE THEIR NEXT VICTIM fuck sakes it’s even freaky just talking about it. Ok…so…
This is very similar to a folklore of some of the Indigenous populations of Turtle Island - where I reside - who are called the W*nd*go (if you say the name too many times, you’re inviting them into your space, hence the censorship).
NOW - KEEPING IN MIND THAT THIS IS THE CONTENT I HAD BEEN CONSUMING LITERALLY MOMENTS BEFORE THIS ALL HAPPENED.
So, I’m getting ready to leave my apartment to head to class. My cat went and hid under the blankets on my bed which is not unusual - the hallway scares her - so she hides I’m assuming until I’ve left or, perhaps more heartbreaking, until I’ve returned. I get into the hallway and my neighbours - a young couple - are already waiting for the elevator so I stand and wait.
Now, please note that this apartment is brand new - the building is completely new, everything about it is well built - so well insulated i honestly would never know i even HAD neighbours if i didn’t see them sometimes. BRAND NEW. Nothing has ever broken or anything.
So, we all clamour into the elevator which is already AWKWARD cuz I feel like an uninvited 3rd wheel, and I step on and wait (the doors take forever to close behind us) and the elevator door SLAMMED shut…..like…..I’ve never had ANY elevator door slam before….should be impossible? And I wasn’t the only one who noticed like the couple we spooked too and were like “what the fuck??? That’s never happened before what the hell was that???”
Anyway, I move closer to them cuz I’m like “fuck that, I’m your adopted child now, protect me” and we make it down to the bottom floor to the parking lot which is outside like open air parking lot.
It’s the middle of the day, okay, and there are a few abandoned buildings behind us but there is a really active and popular walking trail behind those and I live right on the harbour so beyond the trail is just ocean. Okay?
We’re all walking to our cars and we hear this BLOOD CURDLING male scream….and I KNOW the couple heard it too because they paused and looked at each other like “what the fuck???”
But me, knowing fucking better, followed the Indigenous peoples rules: MIND YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS.
Heard a flesh pedestrian screaming? No you didn’t.
Think you saw something? No you didn’t.
I run to my car and jump in, lock the doors behind me and I fucking left.
Guys….
I HAVE TO GO BACK TO MY APARTMENT LATER.

Get Out of My Dreams, Get into My Car
Chapter 2: (s)He Works Hard for the Money
Read on tumblr >> / Read on AO3 >>
Warnings, tags etc: No warnings, just fluff. Light angst in this chapter, mentions of a breakup.
Chapter summary: Billy finds a note of someone looking for a place to stay at Mandy's notice board.
:::::::::::
On early Monday morning, Billy was leaning under the hood of the Camaro at work.
"Morning, Billy!" Mark, his co-worker, called out.
"Morning," he replied, annoyed, trying to find the problem the car had this time before he’d had to start working on paying customers’ cars. The Camaro was old and while it was easy getting parts for it, he’d either have to fully restore it at some point or just get rid of it. Even though he loved it the damn thing broke down all the time. Right now, though, he needed a car and he sure as hell didn't have any money for a new one.
"Hey, you hitting the waves later today?" Mark asked, leaning against the car.
"Nope," Billy grunted. I wish, he thought. "Got a class in the evening."
Mark hung around for a while before their boss called him to take a look at another car and Billy could finally concentrate on finding the fault. Not too soon after he figured it out. It was the carburetor, just as he’d been afraid.
Billy sighed, deflated. Thankfully, he would get a spare part quickly and he could change it at the shop after work, but it would still take a few days for it to arrive.
He'd have to borrow the shop's van, even if it meant that he'd be the designated delivery boy for the time being. Even if the garage and the studio were both within walking distance from his place, he needed wheels to get him from place A to place B quickly because of the timetables.
---
After work, Billy stopped by at Mandy's before hitting the studio to get a smoothie and hear the neighborhood gossip. When Billy was almost out the door with his drink, his eyes stopped on a note on the notice board by the door and he backed up to read it. Someone was looking for a place to stay.
'Seeking room/roommate. Quiet, responsible professional.  Call Holiday Inn, ask for S--- H---,'
The note itself was written in a neat handwriting, but the note was signed rather than telling who left it. Of the names Billy could tell only the first letter. “Hey, Mandy? Do you know who left this?” he asked, looking at her and pointing at the note.
She squinted from behind the counter, trying to see which note of several Billy meant. “The... rent thing? Oh, yes,” she said, a sly smile spreading across her face. “He usually comes by in the morning, maybe on his way to work. Tall, brown hair, always a nice suit on. I think he’s a businessman of some sort,” she said. “Seemed nice. Really good looking too,” she continued, winking.
Billy rolled his eyes. “Yes, thank you. I’m out of the dating pool for a while. I’m looking for a roommate, not someone to break my heart again.” He looked back at the note and tried to read the name. “Do you know what’s his name? Can't make anything out of his scribbling.”
“No, sorry. But he stays at the Inn around the corner. Maybe the staff recognizes him? Or if he comes over, I can tell him you have a room available and ask his name.”
Billy took the note and put it in his pocket. “That's okay, I’ll take the note. If I can’t reach him, you can ask him his name.”
“Sure thing!” Mandy shouted after him.
Billy wouldn’t be selective if the guy was what he advertised in the ad. Because at this point a roommate was no longer optional but also urgent.
Money from the garage was good and the few lessons at the aerobics studio were a great addition to that. If he'd lived anywhere else, he would’ve probably managed more than well with all that. But the bungalow by the beach was expensive. The smart move would’ve been to find a place somewhere away from the beach. But there was nothing better than walking straight onto the beach from his own backdoor and get on the waves first thing after waking up. It had been his dream for as long as he could remember. And then there was everything else on top of that. He just couldn’t let it go, not yet.
But the phone bill was already late because he had to eat and buy gas, and the first time of rent to be paid just by him alone was looming at the end of the month. He could live without a phone for a few weeks if it came to that. But no matter how hard he tried to cut expenses, he couldn't pay for everything alone longer than just for another month.
---
When Billy finally got home in the evening after his class, he dropped his bag of sweaty training clothes on the laundry room floor. He dug out the note he’d taken with him from Mandy’s from his jacket pocket and looked at it.
It felt bittersweet that he'd have to rent out the room they'd used as a recreational space with Rob. Now all that was left there was his own weights. Rob had taken every single painting he'd ever painted in that room with him. Even though Rob hadn't been a proper artist—though he himself thought so and Billy hadn’t had the heart to question it—his art had color and life in them. The place felt lifeless and dull with all that gone, and the empty spaces on the walls reminded Billy about the breakup day in, day out. He'd have to buy at least some posters to cover those places. If he only had money to do that…
He sighed. A businessman sounded as good a roommate as anything. Better, even. He should at least have his half of the rent each month for sure.
Rob hadn't exactly been able to pay his half in full every month, but at least he'd been able to help some. Well, at least whenever he didn't have to unexpectedly stock on blank canvases or buy the latest trend hue selection of red paints absolutely necessarily because he just couldn’t express himself without them. And the whole time they'd lived there, Rob had been spending more time on the beach than Billy had. Rob didn't even like surfing.
All that was what had eventually led into the ultimatum Billy had given Rob: he would have to pull his weight, as in actually getting a proper day—or night—job, Billy didn't really care which one. Otherwise, Billy would have to reconsider their relationship. And not for the first time. He'd hoped it would've made Rob snap out of his reveries for good—but of course it hadn't. Rob had said he's not one to listen to any ultimatums, taken his things and left the next day.
Billy wiped his eyes angrily. He wouldn't let himself cry because of an asshole like Rob. That piece of shit didn't deserve his tears. With a new roommate, Billy could hopefully heal, move on from Rob at his own pace, and maybe at some point to date again, too. Because businessmen weren’t Billy’s style at all, he found them all boring. So, this guy would be a safe choice.
He just hoped that his phone was still connected as he went to the kitchen to make the call to whoever it was who was looking for a place to live. He unhooked the receiver of the phone attached to the wall and dialed the number.
The receptionist at the hotel answered. “Holiday Inn. How may I help you?”
“Hi, uh, I'm looking for someone who's staying at your hotel,” Billy said, looking at the paper and still trying to figure out what the squiggly letters of the name were.
“Can you give me their name?”
“That's the thing. I have a note with his name, but I can't really read it. I think the first name is Steve or Stephen, and the surname starts with an...H?”
“Hmm, let me see,” the receptionist said, and Billy could hear her typing on her computer. “Well, we have three guests matching for Steve H. at the moment: Hamilton, Harrington and Howell.”
Billy's brain hit blank for a moment. When he’d ran into Harrington, he’d said he had just moved into town… He closed his eyes as he shook his head, letting out a laugh. Shit. It had to be.
“Sir?” the receptionist asked.
“Um, yeah,” Billy said. “Harrington. Can you connect to his room, please?”
“Just one moment,” the woman said.
The dial tone came back for a while, and then the call connected.
“Hawrington.”
Yeah, that was Steve Harrington, the one and only, Billy thought. Even if he sounded like he was eating something. Billy had to keep himself from barking a laugh. He couldn’t quite believe that he was actually doing this. After a while, he managed to open his mouth. “Uh...Hi.”
The other end was quiet for a bit, and Billy was already about to ask if it was Steve when there was a reply. “Hi... Who is this?”
Billy laughed shortly and turned to lean his back to the kitchen wall. “It's Billy... Billy Hargrove,” he stammered slightly, scratching the back of his neck.
There was another brief pause. Then, “Uh, hi… How did you…um…” Harrington stuttered, surprised. “What can I do for you?”
Billy heard a paper crinkling somewhere close by the receiver. Harrington must’ve been wiping the corners of his mouth. Billy smiled. “You left a note on the notice board at Mandy’s. You still looking for a place to stay?”
“Oh, right! Yes, yes I do,” Harrington replied. “You know someone who has a room available?”
“Yeah. I, uh… I have a free room. My boyf… um…” Billy had to swallow. This was supposed to be easy. It wasn’t. “My previous roommate moved out. It’s, uh…it’s just a small two-bedroom bungalow, but it's by the beach. Easy to take early morning waves if you're into that kind of thing.” He had to pause. There was no going back after this. “You can move in as soon as you want.”
“Really?” Harrington asked and then was quiet for a while. Billy was again about to open his mouth when he finally spoke again. “Well, I’ve had none other offers and I haven’t found a good place from any paper ads either.”
“Oh, so is my offer something you’re taking just because you have no other option?” Billy let out bluntly, feeling Harrington’s words stinging even while knowing it wasn’t his fault he needed someone to pay the rent with.
“Hey, I don’t even know what you’re offering except a room by the beach,” came the reply with an annoyingly calm tone.
Suddenly, this didn’t feel like such a good idea anymore to Billy. “You know, I can hang up any moment…”
“No, please don’t,” Harrington said quickly. “I’m sorry. I’m just…” Steve sighed. “I’m just tired after having no luck with finding a place to stay. It’s been more stressful than I expected. The hotel rates aren’t exactly built for my paycheck in the long run. I have just a few bags with me, no furniture. I can move in as soon as it suits you.”
Billy wrapped the cord around his finger. “So, you wanna see it first or…?”
“No, no need. I believe you it’s in a good spot and in a decent shape. On the beach and all.”
“Okay, pretty boy, you need to get yourself a bed, then. But you can sleep on the couch until then. It's a bit lumpy, though.”
Billy gave Harrington the address and hung up. He hooked the receiver, letting his hand hang on it for a while as he stared at the wall.
Rob was out. For good. If Rob tried to slither his way back, he wouldn’t have to come up with any excuses. Just say that there’s no room left. Even if Rob still very much occupied a nook in his heart and refused to leave. The bastard.
Then it hit Billy that he was about to live with Steve Harrington, of all people. It forced his mood to lift a little and he couldn't help but chuckle at the odd way of them reconnecting. They’d bumped into each other just a few days ago and now Harrington was about to move in with him.
He was a little concerned, though.
It wasn’t like they couldn’t have gotten along back in high school, but something had always been between them. Something abrasive, like hard sharp edges brushing against each other. Billy just hadn’t gotten enough of poking Harrington at any given moment. He couldn’t keep his mouth shut even after Harrington broke up with miss goody-two-shoes and saw that the other one was already on the edge.
Now he felt bad about it. He’d been the poster boy of a bully back then. He wasn’t proud of it, even though he’d had his reasons. This time he would do his best to try to get along with Harrington.
If something, at least he didn't have to fear falling in love with the man. The guy was straight as a board.
---
The next evening, Steve parked his car on the street in front of Billy’s bungalow. He got out of the car and looked around. The first thing that assaulted his senses was Metallica's ‘Nothing Else Matters’ blasting out onto the street from a window of the small powder blue house that bathed in the last sun rays of the day. Steve was sure the entire neighborhood heard it, but surprisingly, there was no one around complaining. Apparently, they were used to it.
The small, tiled front yard of the bungalow was covered with a pergola full of blooming wisteria. A salty breeze blew lazily from the ocean and made the heady fragrance of the flowers to surround Steve. Everything looked exactly the way Billy had described so far.
Steve took his bags from the trunk, walked to the door, and rang the doorbell.
A moment later, Billy opened the door. “Hey, Harrington!”
Steve smiled at the apron Billy was wearing. It was pink, saying 'Kiss the Cook'. He pointed at it. “Should I?”
Billy looked down on himself, then looked back up at Steve, long-faced. “Oh, ha ha.” He opened the door wider. “Get in.”
Steve walked in and, after setting his bags down, he took in the space. Billy hadn't lied when he'd said that the bungalow was small. The front door opened directly to the living room and with the couch—that was luckily fair sized—a TV with a VCR, and a shelf full of VHS-cassettes, it already felt full.
Billy closed the door behind Steve. “It's small, I know. Not like the mansion you used to live in back at Loch Nora,” he chuckled as he wiped his hands on the apron. “But the beach is right there,” he continued, pointing at the windows of the living room.
Steve looked wide-eyed at the gorgeous view of the beach and the ocean that opened behind the windows. “I bet that's why you chose it, right?” he said.
“Yeah. Which is why I also didn't want to move away from here when my boyfri...roommate left.”
Steve didn't miss the word Billy swallowed halfway. He glanced at Billy. “I'm sorry.”
Billy looked out for a moment, then glanced at Steve before a sad smile flashed on his lips. “Nothing to be sorry about. He was an asshole.”
An awkward silence fell over them for a while.
Clearing his throat, Billy gestured towards the other rooms. “Anyway, kitchen's over there. Bathroom's tiny and we have to share, but it does the job. The rooms aren't unfortunately that much larger, either.”
Billy showed Steve the empty room that was about to be his. With only Billy's weights on the floor, it looked a decent size.
When Steve saw Billy's room though... A double bed filled almost half of the room and the bed wasn't even that big.
But it wasn't the size of the room that surprised Steve the most. It was the powder pink duvet on the bed, turquoise shelves with surf paraphernalia and car books neatly organized on them, way too many crop tops hanging on the door of a small closet.
Not exactly what Steve had expected.
For some reason he'd imagined Metallica posters, haphazardly put together shelves, messy piles of clothes-mostly jeans-on the floor, maybe. The faded white and turquoise surfboard hanging on the wall was the only thing that somehow fit the picture Steve had of Billy.
Steve realized that he actually had no idea who Billy really was.
Suddenly, they were both snapped out of their thoughts by a smell of something burning.
“Oh, shit!” Billy yelped and ran to the kitchen. “Fucking piece of...Ugh!” he cursed loudly as he grabbed the pan from the stove and turned the gas off.
A moment later, the smoke alarm in the ceiling went off.
Steve went to the kitchen, holding his fingers in his ears. Black smoke rose from the pan in the sink and Billy was standing on a chair, trying to reach for the alarm in the ceiling to turn it off.
“Need a hand?” Steve shouted over the blaring alarm.
Billy managed to remove the screeching gadget from the ceiling and he ripped the battery out of it, quieting the noise before tossing both onto the table. He stepped down from the chair and leaned his hands onto the side of the sink where whatever had been cooking in the pan had transformed itself mostly into soot and smoke and was quickly exiting through the open window. “Nope. Dinner is ruined, though,” he sighed. “Fuck,” he muttered a while later. “Can’t do even this right.”
Steve was surprised at the disappointment on Billy’s face. Maybe the boyfriend situation was making things harder than normal. “I can get us pizza,” he offered.
Billy looked at Steve for a while, biting his cheek. “I wanted to welcome you with dinner but…” He shook his head. “Things haven’t been easy lately. Would you mind?”
Steve smiled. “Of course not. My treat.”
---
Later, they were eating their pizzas—Billy a Hawaiian, Steve a pepperoni—in the kitchen by the table Billy had set while Steve was out getting the pizzas.
“You seem to really...enjoy that,” Steve said, amused, when he saw Billy basically inhaling his pineapple filled slice.
“Hey,” Billy replied, mock-offended, “If you start telling me I can’t have my vitamins in the form I choose to...”
Steve laughed and raised his hands up in a placative gesture. “No judgment, just an observation.”
Billy smirked with a snort. “Right.” He ate the rest of his slice and wiped his hands on a napkin before taking a swig of his beer. “So, how's the work at...what was it? Marketing?”
“Yeah, marketing. For Blockbuster,” Steve replied.
Billy raised his eyebrows. “Oh, wow. You a big shot there or something?”
“Something,” Steve smiled. “So far, it hasn't been exactly what I thought it would be, though. I was hoping for fewer Excel sheets and projector slides and more something creative. I'd definitely spend time on waves rather than in the office.”
“You? On waves? Other than under them?” Billy teased, grinning. “Have you ever even seen a board? You looked at mine earlier like you'd never seen one before.”
“Not exactly what I meant,” Steve said, laughing.
Billy joined in the laughter. “Well, it's not that I spend time on the waves that much, either. Or haven't, not since we–I moved here. Had to make the ends meet, so to speak. But maybe now that you're here, I can catch a few here and there.”
Steve looked at his pizza and nodded, smiling. He'd been concerned about the idea of living together with Billy, and especially if their ideas of handling income and expenses would meet at least on some level. If it had been Billy who'd had to stretch the pennies before and he'd done it, too, maybe this wouldn't be so bad. Though the coming days would tell how well they'd really manage.
Steve just hoped they wouldn't be at each other's throats the whole time.

Note
Actually I'm curious, when you say the fics make Kendall out to be the victim do you mean like of Logan's manipulation or something else?
Haiii sorry I’ve been work swamped recently. What I mean is while that is often included in the story, a lot of the writing is really telling to how needlessly over sympathetic the writer can be to Kendall regarding the waiter incident. A lot of it it’s in the ways he’s being described, the way Stewy is holding onto him for dear life and whispering to him “it’s ok you didn’t mean it you didn’t mean it🥺”. Describing Kendall using adjectives and verbs that are innocuous on their own, but put together with his mischaracterization in the work and how he’s woobified can be read as weird old guy infantilization at fucking best. Reads like a Paul Dano Riddler twitter thread or an early 2000’s tumblr post about Loki or whatever. Words like “whimpered”, “rocked” and what not…Stewy doing the “baby don’t feel bad🥺” as Kendall describes how he committed manslaughter against a young boy who’s life isn’t worth as many bills Ken has in his wallet at any given time. They aren’t writing it in a very self-aware sense is why I mean.
As a result, Stewy is more so used as a blank slate for the reader to project their Kendall woobification urges onto. There’s already a problem in a lot of fics writing Stewy as just Kendall’s personal fuckbuddy therapist. But it seems with the waiter instance people have this impression of Stewy just being Kendall’s loving aid and it immediately clearing any and all ill-will between them. Succession fans can’t seem to find any in-between writing Stewy as this relentless snake who exclusively keeps Kendall around to manipulate him and is just rubbing his grubby hands together and anticipating his premeditated overdose…or a sweet uwu smol bean who exists solely as Kendall’s personal stuffed animal guy over situations that, quite frankly, should not be chalked up to just “he didn’t mean it”. In a show like succession, you have to take into account class, power, race, gender, time period, familial dynamics, abuse, Murdoch character influence (or at least I do…watch Murdoch Empire of Power on Hulu because ohhh boy does it connect some dots), consequences and so much more. It doesn’t serve any character any justice to think of things solely in a vacuum. “Kendall didn’t grab the wheel so he didn’t mean it and thus it’s not his fault” is an argument I, luckily, don’t see much anymore, but I wish I didn’t have to at all.
This might not make much sense but hopefully you understand ❤️

All Your Stifled Emotions Are Still There, Living Inside You
Thank you, Co-Star, for that bit of sage advice. My first thought when I read this was, "This is why people go to therapy". Fuck, this is arguably an important piece of why I am in therapy.
I am one of those people that, when shit hits the fan, their logic brain tells their emotional brain, "You - in the corner. Face the wall. Let the adults talk. We will let you know when you can come out." I tend to process emotions out of the moment - while things are happening, I try my best to stifle and ignore. Is it neurodivergence, or because I never had a safe space to process big emotions as a child? Probably both. Aquarius moon probably has something to deal with it, too.
If I am being quite frank, I feel quite detached from my emotions. I know I feel things. I know I have trouble processing them sometimes. But I cannot always identify exactly what I am feeling. I have a color-coded emotions wheel somewhere in the depths of my computer to help me articulate what my characters are feeling when I am writing. My counselor told me to use that to try to help identify what I am feeling, too. (Spoiler : I always forget it exists when I actually need to use it for me).
This got me thinking a lot about shadow work. Which I have also been neglecting. For those that come across this that are unfamiliar with shadow work, I will go into the specifics more in-depth in another post.
Anyway, I started thinking about how there is a lot of work for myself - spiritual, psychological, and otherwise - that I just have not been doing. I tell myself that I do not have time for it, but the reality is that I am not making the time for it. I could take ten (10) minutes out of my day. I would just rather spend that ten (10) minutes doing anything else right now. Perfect example : I am writing a Tumblr post when I could be watching a training video for my up-coming death doula class.
I think the core thing I am trying to grasp at here is paralysis, where it exists in my life, and the underlying patterns behind it. I feel a big thing, I am not sure how to process it or what to do with it, so I do not. I do not feel like I have enough time for things, and I tend to be bad at planning and managing my time, so I do not make time for the things I want to be doing because I have so many other Big Obligations and they take more energy, more spoons, and more spell slots.
Maybe I should link my counselor to my Tumblr. Cerebral has made me chance twice in about as many months now, so it might be easier to direct all future ones here than to continuously re-explain everything I am dealing with. I mean, I know most of - if not all - of my bullshit will probably end up here some way or another anyway.
Where was I? Oh, right, emotions.
Whether you deal with them or not, they live in you. Like stress. Stress lives in the body until it is worked out properly. Likewise, emotions you ignore will live in whatever box you shove them in until they break out anyway. There is no escaping what lives in your mind - instead of trying to corral it, stick along for the ride. It might not be pleasant, but it might be necessary. The more things I experience, the more I can learn from them for next time. Even though I have barely scratched the surface, and I am at the very tip of the iceberg for what I am trying to do with myself, I know everything is progress.

Weekly Reading Update 7 & 8
Okay I missed last week and have been behind on posts in general (had to delete tumblr from my phone for a couple weeks because social media bad sometimes) but I do wanna do my little reading diary! So I’m back for about ten minutes!
When we last spoke, I’d just started How to Sell a Haunted House, which I have now finished and what a book! It was absolutely terrifying, and had one of the like. best and also worst visceral horror moments that I’m not going to describe, but if you’ve read the book I’d bet you can guess which scene I’m talking about lol. It really might be my favorite Grady Hendrix book, though--grief and family horror gets me in a special way. I’m moving on to Unwinding Anxiety, which I’ve seen recommended for people with anxiety, so we’ll see if it has any helpful tidbits in it! Very amusing to me that my horror streak is being broken up by a book about anxiety though lmao
As for my school reading, I’ve done Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson (very cute graphic novel that has gotten me interested in roller derby) and The Girl in the Lake by India Hill Brown. I have kind of mixed feelings about The Girl in the Lake, in terms of the “twist” at the end, but it was overall a good book with some creepy moments and a good message, imo. Also, I just have a soft spot for any creepy middle grade books, as someone who checked out, like, every goosebumps and Mary Downing Hahn book I could get my hands on lol. Next up is a YA: When The Angels Left the Old Country by Sarah Lamb, which has one of the best intro paragraphs, and Hide and Seeker by Daka Hermon (which I may or may not review for class- I can technically only review one middle grade horror for the assignment, so I’m going to choose between The Girl in the Lake and Hide and Seeker). Oh, also, if anyone has YA horror recommendations, send them my way--I may end up reviewing Clown in a Cornfield for the assignment, but I wanna keep my options open, you know?
Also, I’m so incredibly behind on The Path of Daggers/Wheel Takes Podcast, but idk if I’m going to get a chance to catch up because of grad school :(
Currently Reading: When the Angels Left the Old Country, Unwinding Anxiety, The Path of Daggers, and The Essential Dykes to Watch Out For
Library books checked out: 13
Posts the last two weeks: tuesday quote, wednesday quote

Sherry Tenney; the saga continues
Pinned post on the topic of Sherry Tenney
On Sunday Sherry Tenney, the fleece scam artist in Pennsylvania, posted a rant threatening to sue me.
Here is the video, but I have pulled the relevant info out into text thanks to a transcriber from the Ravelry group Demon Trolls.
youtube
>He read some stuff that somebody uh posted on Tumblr which is 100% deframation of character and we have to sue them now. Um saying I have diseased animals on my farm and that I’m unhinged and I carry guns to go to Rhinebeck and all that, and he’s decided to go ahead and prosecute them. We’re gonna go ahead and sue. But because of that, we have decided..this piece of SHIT on Tumblr and I have the list, and the stuff that she has said is horrible. We have her name, we’re gonna go ahead and sue, but we are not going to hold a class on the property.
She saw my tumblr!  She read multiple of my tumblr posts!  I’m just so honored to now have a brief starring role in her insanity!  I never thought the likes of Sherry Tenney would even know what tumblr was, let alone leave FaceBook to lurk here and learn how to search and read posts!
There are tears.  Honest, happy tears.  She’s angry because I’m doing my part to warn others about her scam, and help protect other fiber artists.  Because, really, that is my goal.  The fiber arts community needs to help one another and be warned about the stinging wasps that sometimes prey upon us.
Now, to address her threatening to sue me: she’s been threatening to sue members of the Demon Trolls group for six months now.  Not a single piece of legal paperwork has ever been filed or received.  It’s all bark and bluff.  And, on top of that, she doesn’t have my legal name or information.  Nor does tumblr to give to her.  Not that I think for a moment that @staff would give her my information without a court order in the first place.
And, honestly, it’s not defamation of character to speak the truth. There are screenshots to back everything I have posted up. Screenshots, and excel files, and video recordings of her rants!  The fine folks at Demon Trolls have been documenting every single move she has made, and everything she has said.  I’ve just summarized it and posted it here because I know not everyone goes to Ravelry, and especially not the forums.
If anyone would care to go to Ravelry, they have all the video files and screenshots of every single thing I have posted about this mentally unhinged woman.  Because, honestly, when you start writing Supernatural fanfiction of you fighting demons at a gas station and pass it off as real life events on your business FaceBook page as an update of your life, you are clearly a mentally unwell person.
But hopefully Sherry Tenney and Jim Tenney can remember to get the uuuuuurrrrrlllll right when they go to the court to try to sue tumblr.
For those curious about the ‘url’ joke, here’s another hour long video rant of hers showing her mental state.  Warning, it’s fairly disturbing, and it does not get better.  In fact, partway through the video she starts feeling herself up a touch and seems to get some sort of sexual satisfaction about her violence filled rant.
It is divided up into parts on this Google Drive.  Everything on this Google Drive, including a hefty screenshots folder of what Sherry Tenney says on her public business FaceBook account, is posted. Please feel free to watch this video and explore the Google Drive for more evidence about what Sherry Tenney has done, and please warn others.
Link to Google Drive and the video rant
And, as always, Sherry Tenney is to be considered dangerous.  DO NOT APPROACH.  She is currently advertising in her Etsy store that she is hosting a class.  Do NOT sign up for that class as a joke.  She is considered to be dangerous at all times and to be avoided in person at all costs!  We do not want anyone hurt because of this!  The Pennsylvania Attorney General is informed and taking actions against her, although the wheels of justice are much slower than we would like.  Please be safe and warn others!

9x9 Tag Game
Tagged by @seeesame, Thank you for the tag! (^‿^✿)(^‿^✿)(^‿^✿)
Ohhhhhhhh Boy. As I think I've been over before when asked to take a survey for one reason or another, I am wordy.
Favorite colours:
Blue*, green, purple, black, silver, and then past that you start getting into circumstantial stuff.
*partially because blue in the English language is completely broken. If you wanted me to pick an actual colour instead of the ultra-inclusive mess that is the English concept of blue, I'd say indigo; indigo as it was used when the ROY G BIV rainbow was being established -and therefore the colour being referred to when you say indigo in the context of the rainbow- something known today as royal blue/navy.
Because indigo is not supposed to be purple. The indigo of the rainbow is dark/navy/royal blue, and blue as it was used during the creation of the rainbow refers to what we would nowadays call cyan or sky blue.
If you have ever opened a colour wheel and been confused as to why blue gets two very distinct slices while purple just barely exists between blue and pink despite the rainbow listing one blue and two purples, this is why. Indigo has been corrupted as a term to refer to a purple instead of dark blue like it's supposed to.
(This is further confused by the fact that -while you cannot get pink by adding white to red!!!**- you can actually get something most people would class as purple by adding white to navy.))
**Unless you're working with food colouring, for some reason.
I have many Feelings on this as you can probably tell.
Currently reading:
Fanfiction. Not gonna get more specific than that because I don't like the show it's for and I don't want it on my dash.
Last song I listened to:
Changed a couple times while I was filling this out! List contains: Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now(Japanese version) from Cats Don't Dance* -which I have listened to so much it just sounds wrong in English,  Italian Resturant by Billy Joel, Everything is Not What it Seems by Selena Gomez, Surface Pressure from Encanto -which I would love to hate because it's from Disney, but unfortunately exsists in my head as a banger theme for gladiator AUs for kinda complicated reasons-, and Playing With the Big Boys Now(metal version) cover by Johnathan Young.
*A movie I have never watched and don't particularly plan to, I just listen to this song A Lot.
This list contains none of the songs I've been listening to often recently, which mostly consist of Man on the Internet's lyrical covers of instrumental game OSTs. I am kinda irked by that.
Last series I watched:
As we speak I am watching Therapist plays Omori by Counselor Plays on YouTube even though it is after dark which I know is a bad idea. If you like psychological horror games or JRPGs I suggest this one, and if you like watching LPs this is the one I recommend.
Last movie I watched:
Uhhhhhhhhhh... The Shining, I think.
Cravings:
 Ginger beer/rootbeer.
Currently working on:
piaodgjsdfvagkjehfehfheheheheheheheheheheheeheheheeeeeheeeeeeeeeeeee
Optional extree questions courtesy of @seeesame!
Skimming until I get to the chapters that haven't been adapted: I don't ever do this, sorry?
Open in my tabs: Four different Perchance generators I'm working on, three- no, four- no, five instances of Tumblr*, five copies of YouTube, my YouTube channel blocker plugin settings, two pages of PokemonDatabase, two Ao3 fics, one ff.net, four reference image pages I could close,  three miscellaneous tabs, and five TvTropes pages -which as everyone knows, will probably multiply as soon as I tab over to them.
*I kept finding more as I scrolled through. One of them is technically a google doc, but it's for Bad Things Happen Bingo so I'm counting it as Tumblr.
What my friends want me to read:  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I swear to you I'm starting it. I'm going to read it. I have it open. really: The Sandman (vol. 1) by Neil Gaiman.
Books abandoned on my desk: The Dead Zone by Stephan King. Probably a couple others but that's the only one that haunts me with it's unfished-ness.
And I’m tagging: uhhh... @ito-itonomen, @avvocato-avocat, @just-a-well-wisher... I really don't actually know a lot of people on Tumblr... @scribesynnox because they left all my favorite comments on my AUs

I’ve seen like 3 posts on my dash today all being like “If you’re a writer, you should be doing this or that” or “Don’t do this or that or your writing will be shit forever” and…
Guys. Just… stop it. Please, just stop.
The only writing advice anyone should be giving is “Just fucking write.”
Because the magical thing about the world of art in general is that it’s so vast and diverse. That even in the worst books there can still be moments that grab our souls and stick them in a food processor with the soul of the author that bore it there for you. Death of the author can never be a thing because art comes from the carnal emotions inside of us. We create because something in our chests is taking a nail file to our ribcage and threatening to burst out if we don’t give it another escape. The moment you start putting limitations on yourself and start taking the advice of tumblr writers telling you “You shouldn’t even think about beginning a first draft if your story is outlined” or “Don’t write fanfiction it’s bad for you!!!” That thing inside of you is going to get scared. It’s going to see all of the beating you have planned for it and decide to stay cocooned inside of you until you’re driven (sometimes literally) mad.
But if you give it a wide open range, free of intense initial judgement, and you nurture it as it spills out rather than trying to force clay into shape that’s not even on your wheel yet, suddenly the pathways of creation will become SO MUCH clearer.
The only advice I give at the start of writing classes before we go into shaping what we’ve already made is this: Set aside at least 5 minutes a day to sit in front of paper and thought vomit. Just full stream of consciousness writing. Don’t start with an idea, don’t start with a prompt, just start with what’s running through your head at that moment. Sometimes you’ll be in the mindset of fiction so you’ll start throwing out snippets of characters and plots that don’t fit anywhere or make any sense. Sometimes everything that comes out will sound like it’s being read from a 5 year olds diary and that’s okay! You can burn the paper afterwards if you want to, you’ll never need it again. The point is to clear the mental block that’s keeping you from expressing ideas.
As you grow, you might find that creation for YOU does happen during planning stages, and that’s great! You might also find that trying to plan a plot ruins writing for you and that’s also great! Do whatever works for YOU specifically. Put down the Stephen King ‘On Writing’ book, it’s not going to save you, nothing will except genuine self exploration.
Your writing style will develop no matter what you’re writing. Your understanding of world building and characters will develop no matter what you’re writing. You will hate your first pieces but they will be creations born from you, and that’s still beautiful. Your Thomas the Tank engine fanfic is beautiful. Your Onceler fanfiction is beautiful. You created SOMETHING while everyone else only thought about doing so. That’s AMAZING! Maybe not to anyone else, and that’s okay because you shouldn’t be writing for anyone else in the first place!

Tumblr media
Welcome to this week's reading log! I had a good week in terms of reading and even managed to read some fics that were a little bit longer. Like often I am amazed by the incredible works people create in this fandom and immensely grateful that people choose to share those works with us <3
🌻 marks a favourite, 🔒 marks a fic that is only available to ao3 users, 🍀 marks a fic that is only available on Tumblr.
Pole Position by roe87 @jro616 [Stucky, 8,5k words, Teen]
"I've signed you up to a pole dancing class," Natasha told him.
Steve had no idea what that meant. "What's pole dancing?" he asked.
"You'll see," Natasha answered with a sly smile. "And wait till you see the instructor. He's cute."
Always have been. Always will be. by BucksomeBarnes (Freckled_Halos) [Stucky, 2,7k words, Teen]
Bucky has been Steve's muse for a very long time...and he's finally gotten back some proof to show it.
Ricochet by greenbergsays @greenbergsays [Stucky, 2,8k words, Teen]
Bucky Barnes has been a patron of Ricochet since it opened. Steve Rogers, the owner and head chef, has had a crush on him nearly as long.
🌻 Interview 32557038: The Life of an Entertainment Reporter by buckybarnesdeservestobehappy (hutchabelle) @buckybarnesdeservestobehappy [Stucky, 2,5k words, Teen]
Steve Rogers is an entertainment reporter with an assignment to interview Bucky Barnes, the lead singer and guitarist of 1980s hair band fame, the Avengers. It’s a plush assignment and one that leaves Steve unsettled and yearning by the time it’s done.
All This Time by InterruptingDinosaur [Stucky, 8,8k words, Teen]
Bucky can’t wait for the holiday season to be over. December only brings more students into the library which means more shelving work for him. However, when someone starts leaving Bucky gifts, he starts to change his mind.
All Those Little Pieces by Ellessey [Stucky, 40,5k words, Mature]
Bucky blinks at him. "You’re sure your brain wasn’t damaged?"
"Yes," Steve sputters. "Why do you keep asking that?"
"I almost killed you," Bucky says, still with almost no emotion in his voice. It’s unclear if he’s questioning Steve because he can’t seem to string a sentence together, or because it’s crazy to tell Bucky he’s still a hero after almost being murdered by him, but it doesn’t matter.
"You didn’t, though," Steve says firmly. "And you’re… here."
--
Steve has never forgotten Bucky Barnes. Not their childhood together, not the horror of the moment Bucky fell too far for him to reach, and not the way he's loved him all the while.
Bucky has forgotten everything about Steve, at least at first. But there's still a feeling there, warm in his chest—and maybe now that he's found his way back to Steve Rogers and his sunny apartment, there's a chance it might turn into something more.
🌻 Hidden in Plain Sight by papesdontsellthemselves @turtle-steverogers [Stucky, 523 words, General]
“Look!” He exclaims as Bucky reels backwards a bit to avoid getting hit in the face. Bucky blinks, eyes adjusting to the angle. He takes in the cover of the magazine, raising his eyebrows. Saturday Evening Post is scrawled above a picture of two handsome looking painted men in collared shirts. Bucky nods. He doesn’t get it.
“That’s… real neat, Stevie.”
-
Based on this ask on tumblr: BOUNCY STEVE!! Mikey and anon, it’s the cutest 🥺😭 please write a little fic if you get a chance 💜
Asymmetry by candlemaker [Stucky, 46,4k words, Teen]
“Isn’t that weird?” Sam starts, raising an eyebrow at Bucky’s parallel self.
“Sam-“ Bucky tries to interject, looking increasingly distressed – but it’s no use.
“I mean, you third wheeling Steve and his wife out here in the middle of nowhere?” Sam finishes, and Bucky can only cover his face with his metal hand and wish the ground would swallow him whole, knowing what is coming as surely as he has ever known anything.
“Pal,” the Other Bucky replies with a smirk, holding up his flesh hand to show off a thin silver band while the real Bucky stares resolutely at the ground, “I am his wife.”
Or
Of all the parallel universes they could have ended up in, Bucky can't think of a worse one than this - one that serves as a constant reminder of everything he's ever wanted, and everything he can't ever have.
Giving Thanks With Sugar by buckybarnesdeservestobehappy (hutchabelle) @/buckybarnesdeservestobehappy [Stucky, 4k words, Explicit]
Bucky’s back in town, and Steve and he spend the entire time being very thankful for their days and nights together.
🌻 Blooming Under the Dappled Light by thiccbuckybarnes @thiccbuckybarnesfic [Stucky, 7,8k words, Explicit] (1/7 chapters available)
“Primogeniture (prīmōˈjenəˌCHər) is the right, by law or custom, of the firstborn legitimate child to inherit the parent's entire or main estate in preference to shared inheritance among all or some children, any illegitimate child or any collateral relative.” ❀❀❀ Despite being the son of a gentleman, James "Bucky" Barnes could scarcely allow himself the hope of one day being tied to another in happy matrimony. In a society where the first-born children are revered and inherit all of a family's wealth, last-born Bucky feels trapped in a life he did not ask for.
When he makes the drastic decision to run away and become a tutor for a wealthy family, he is hoping to save enough pennies to someday have a dowry and be worthy for marriage despite his deposition. What he is not anticipating, however, is falling into the rough and skilled hands of his employer, the rakish widow Lord Steven Rogers.
Bite Me by thiccbuckybarnes @/thiccbuckybarnesfic (with art by @call-me-kayyyyy) [Stucky, 17,7k words, Explicit]
Historically, Bucky’s village held an annual human offering to local vampires to bring good fortune to their harvest. Though it’s been years since a vampire was in the area, when vampire Steve Rogers seeks a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life to a secluded cabin on the outskirts of town, Bucky is elected to be sacrificed for the good of his village.
Except, Steve does not want a human sacrifice, and has no idea what to do when he is offered one.
(A Few Inches Too Far) Underneath The Mistletoe by whatthefoucault [Stucky, 490 words, Teen]
It was purely by chance that Steve happened upon a scruffy little sprig of discarded mistletoe on their way back from dinner with the Barnes family.
🌻 The Right Time by wearing_tearing [Stucky, 16,4k words, Teen]
“So let me see if I got this right,” Bucky says, gaze focused on Steve. “You want to fake date me.”
“No,” Steve shakes his head, and then corrects him, “I want us to pretend to be engaged.”
🌻 A Convenient Heartbreak by so_shhy [Stucky, 17,3k words, Mature]
My cheerful attempt at this old chestnut of a prompt:
How about a “our asshole mutual friends set us up on a blind date and didn’t tell us it was a blind date, so instead of getting to know each other we spent the entire ‘date’ scheming against them and decided an awesome way to get back at them would be to pretend to date and then have a horrendous breakup but now that we’re two months into this charade we’re not sure what’s real and what’s fake anymore” au.
Featuring Steve and Bucky being obnoxiously in love (externally) and wallowing in angst (internally). Plus, scheming, kissing, and various dates both real and imaginary.
Nice Guys Finish Last (unless you're Steve Rogers) by roe87 @/jro616 [Stucky, 41,6k words, Mature]
Bucky said, “I think he’s too nice for me.” “Barnes,” Natasha sighed, “are you really trying to talk yourself out of dating Steve?” “Well, I… don’t think we’d be compatible.” “How do you know that?” “Cause he’s all… he… y’know…” He’s too good for me.
Or: Bucky Barnes finally realises that bad boys are no good, so he ditches them and dates the nice guy instead.
🍀 Intern Bucky + Senator Steve by @howdoyousleep3 [Stucky, ? words, Explicit]
“That’s it, that’s fuckin’ it right there, boy…”
Evanstan Round Robin 2021 by Ediblecrayon, grandmacore, iamrory01, its_tortle, K347, luninosity, musette22, paperstorm, TJ_Mason, wintersoldier1989 [Evanstan, 2,6k words, Teen] (3/11 chapters available)
Chris has been honing a new skill, and he can't wait to show it to Sebastian.

AAAAAAAAAH REQUESTS ARE OPEN 😭😂 AHEM hello!!! welcome back btw 😊 tumblr is not the same without youuu but i'd like to request a bestfriend au with tsukki, kuroo, and iwa where the reader was asked to give a love letter to them but the reader was hesitant to pass it and the boys found out about it? hehe please make it fluffy to mend my broken heart 🙏🥺
but if it's too much, don't hesitate to ignore it, love 😊
« Crossing Boundaries.
- the one in which you’re asked to pass on a love letter to your best friend, but what’s stopping you? Why does it...hurt?
format: scenarios
genre: fluff
- includes: Tsukishima, Kuroo, and Iwaizumi
WHO TF BROKE YOUR HEART take mine instead
----------------------------------------------------
Tsukishima
“So...you’ll give it to him?”
You glance at the outstretched letter in the girl’s hand, shouldering your bag with a tilt of your head. Who was this girl again?
“Um...”
“You’re Tsukishima-Kun’s best friend!” She blurts, startling you slightly as your eyes widen a fraction. “I...want him to go out with me. You’re just so easy to approach, Y/N-chan!”
Jaw slacking, you watch as she deeply bows before skittering off with a bright hue to her cheeks, a hopeful glint in her eyes as you glance down at the carefully sealed letter in your hand. No doubt were her feelings sealed in the contents of this letter, it wouldn’t be a big deal to be the messenger, right?
The sudden sick feeling in your stomach was nothing, right?
“Oi. I know I said you were scatterbrained, but did you seriously not realize classes ended for the day?”
You flinch at the feeling of Tsukishima pinching your cheek to catch your attention, staring down at you increduously as you find a wobbly grin taking place, your hands automatically opening your bag.
“Is my amazing best friend actually offering to walk me home?” You feign shock as Tsukishima rolls his eyes.
“Who said that? Buy me snacks, get a move on.” The blonde scoffs, jutting his chin in the direction of the door before you swallow back the tightness in your throat.
“Fine. Let’s go.”
You zip up your bag, noting that it felt a little heavier than before. Tsukishima picks up on your silence on the walk to the convenience store, noting that you seemed a little down. He nudges your side as you stare blankly off into the onigiri aisle, tilting his head in a silent question.
“Eh? Uh, just grab whatever. I’m not even hungry.”
“Since when?” Tsukishima retorts, easily grabbing an extra bun and your favorite canned fruit juice along with his snacks before ringing them up, leaving you behind.
Would he do this with that girl if they started dating?
“Ah, I thought I was buying.”
“Get that pout off your face and eat.” Tsukishima leans against the glass windows of the convenience store, unwrapping your bun for you before shoving it in your direction. “What’s with you?”
You scoff playfully, nibbling the soft bread. “As if you care.”
“You’re right. I don’t.”
Tsukishima smirks into his meat bun as you glare in his direction, content with the quietness of your friendship that was built on playful insults and each other’s presence.
Your fingers twitched as the meat bun lowered in one of your hands, the other fiddling with the zipper on your bag.
Who were you to stop him from potential happiness?
“Here.”
Tsukishima glances down at the letter, brown eyes widening a little bit.
“This from you?”
You take a big bite out of your bun, knowing that the foreign hurt you felt in your stomach would arise again if you answered his question.
“Is this why you were acting so weird earlier?” He prompts another question as you swallow your mouthful, examining the unopened letter.
“You should’ve just told me, idiot.”
It hurts to look at him. It sounds like he’s fighting to keep his amusement out of his voice.
“I know.” You crumple your wrapper, refusing to look in his direction. The corners of your lips are forcibly turned upwards as you feel Tsukishima staring at you seriously.
“Does this mean we can’t be friends anymore?” Your voice sounds small, and Tsukishima’s scoff made your heart fall into your stomach.
“Well, duh.”
You knew it.
“People who date aren’t friends. I accept your confession, stupid. Stop looking so sad.”
Your head snaps up, eyes widening at his words. Realization melts into your gaze as it darts from the pink tinge of hid ears to to the unopened letter. He hadn’t even read the contents of it.
“Kei. I didn’t write that letter.”
The silence that settles between the two of you is borderline unbearable. Tsukishima rips the letter open, eyes skimming it’s contents before his jaw clenches.
“I see that now.”
“Ha...sorry.” You mumble awkwardly, heat brimming your cheeks as your best friend pockets the letter, making your heart sink further.
“Might as well accept, huh?”
“R-really?”
“Is she cute?” Tsukishima throws his trash away as he walks ahead of you, leaving you to trail after him as you stare at his back as you do so, nails biting into your palms.
“Do I know her? Do you know her?” He stops walking, and you bump into his back. The tall blonde doesn’t look back at you, the colorful sky of the setting sun acting as a background for his tall figure.
“Why were you so hesitant in giving me her letter?”
Tsukishima’s irritation finally boils over at your continued silence, finally glancing back at you only for his brown irises to widen. One more question. Perhaps the most important one.
“Why are you crying?”
You hastily wipe at the tears as your best friend faces you fully, his grip on the strap of his bag loosening so his arm falls down at his side. His arm is hesitant as it raises, hand carefully cupping your face as his thumb brushes your tears to the side.
“I-I don’t know-!” You hiccup. Why did it feel like you were losing something that was standing right in front of you?
“Y/N.” One careful motion has Tsukishima’s hand lifting your face to meet his usually stoic eyes.
“Do you like me?”
“Do I?” Your response is hushed, making Tsukishima scoff, his other hand reaching out to grab your waist on the empty sidewalk.
“Only one way to find out, dumbass.”
His lips are on yours before you can hiccup another response, and your hand wraps around his wrist that’s cupping your face as your heart seems to finally relax.
“So?” Tsukishima murmurs, lips still grazing yours when he pulls back slightly.
Ah. He made the pain stop.
“I don’t know. I think you need to do it again.”
“You’re an idiot.” The blonde is smirking now, tugging you closer.
“So you don’t want to?” You ask innocently as Tsukishima throws a crumpled ball of paper behind him. He looks at you in annoyance, but his eyes hold something else as he grips your chin.
“Don’t put words in my mouth. Especially since you made a fool of me earlier.”
“I never said it was from me!”
“Do you want me to kiss you again, or not?”
Kuroo
“If you would, I’d be so grateful!”
“Ah, wait-!”
You sigh as the unknown girl blends into the crowd at the volleyball match, making you hang your head and sigh as the sound of your name makes you perk up from within the stands.
“Y/N-chaaaan, you’re here to see me!”
“Lies.”
“Hi Lev! You did so well out there!” You wave at your much taller underclassman, ignoring your best friend before yelping a little when Lev glomps you like a little kid. Your best friend’s stare from over his teammates shoulder is unamused as Kuroo grabs the back of Lev’s shirt.
“Y/N’s here to give me a ride home. Get your own best friend, kid.”
“You have Kenma!”
“No he doesn’t.” Kenma pops up on your other side, and you withhold a giggle as Kuroo rolls his eyes, quite literally plucking you up from the crowding of his teammates by the waist. You sweatdrop when he flings you over his shoulder, whistling as the raven-haired captain carries you over to the exit.
“You promised you wouldn’t do this anymore.”
“I make no such promises.”
“Kuroo-senpai, it’s okay to be jealous!” An irritated heat fills your cheeks as Kenma and Lev get farther away, the latter offering two large thumbs up.
“Awh, listen to your underclassman.” You tease, and Kuroo easily shuffles around in your purse to get your keys as you suddenly still. Would he find the note that his fan had given you?
...wait. Why did you think that was a bad thing?
“Yeah, yeah. Do you want me to drive?”
“You could just ride home on the bus with your teammates like a normal person.” You quip as Kuroo carefully sets you down before unlocking your car, opening the door for you as you roll your eyes and get in.
“If I did, would you still come to my games, sweetheart?” The captain’s cat-like smile was easy as he rests his forearm atop your car door, tilting his head in amusement.
“Don’t call me that.” Heat never fails to swirl in your cheeks at Kuroo’s flirtatious nature before he snickers, closing your door before reminding you to watch out for your legs.
“By the way, what was with the letter in your bag?”
Your chest sinks.
“None of your business.”  You blink, the words slipping out automatically before Kuroo shrugs, putting your car into motion. Questions flitted around your head as to why, Kuroo’s speaking of his volleyball match acting as background noise.
“...Kitten, are you even listening to me?”
“Yep. I love serves. Go team.”
Kuroo smirks, keeping his eyes on the road with his forearm bent in a relaxed manner resting on top of your seat.
“What’s going on in that pretty little head?”
“How your teammates are cuter than you.”
“Ow.”
You laugh, but there’s weight to it. Biting your lip, guilt swimming in your stomach for even considering not giving it to him. Hastily, you reach out to put the letter in the compartment on his dashboard.
“What’s that?” Kuroo’s feral eyes glance at the paper before flitting back to the road, and you look out the window with a strained smile.
“Yours. A girl at the match wanted me to give it to you.”
You wait for the cocky retort and barrage of questions as to who, but it doesn’t come. Eyebrow quirking at his silence, you glance at your best friend to see his jaw had clenched, grip on the steering wheel tightening.
“Kuroo-?” You blink when he swerves into the next gas station, the lot mostly empty save for a few patrons buying cigarettes. You tilt your head, thoroughly confused as he stares at the paper sitting on his dashboard.
“You said it was none of my business.”
“And...?” you urge him to continue. “I obviously didn’t-”
“Y/N, did you not want to give me her letter?”
When did his tone get so serious?
You felt like a deer in the headlights. Curse him for being so smart.
“H-Huh? You’re overthinking things...” You force out a scoff, looking out your window again to see that the rest of the patrons had left.
“In that case...” Kuroo mumbles as you see from his peripheral vision grab the letter.
“Do you have to read it now?” The question tumbles from your lips before you realize it, completely oblivious to the hurt that shone over your eyes as Kuroo notices immediately.
“I’m going to say yes.”
Your jaw slackens before you quickly pull yourself together. What was with you?
“Y-You don’t even know who...” Your lips were trembling as Kuroo locked eyes with you seriously, but you steadied your breathing quickly before a smile takes place.
“I’m happy for you.”
“Dammit, Y/N-” Kuroo’s voice was near a growl as he unbuckled his seatbelt, capturing your lips with his as his hand rests on the back of your neck, tugging you towards him. You gasp into the unexpected kiss, shocked at the fact that you liked it.
Breathless, his chest rises as he catches his breath when he pulls back, the captain’s eyes brimmed with annoyance as you meet his gaze with a dumbfounded one.
“I hand you all the chances in the damn world on a silver platter, and I kiss you first? In a gas station parking lot? Damn, Kenma was right. I am a wuss.”
“W-Wha...” You blink once, then twice before Kuroo’s thumb grazes your bottom lip.
“I’m gonna kiss you again if you don’t reply in three seconds. I’m about to internally combust.”
A smile stretches over your lips slowly, and that’s enough for the dark-haired captain to kiss you with a fervor unknown, as if he had been holding himself back this whole time-
the folded letter laying forgotten on the dashboard.
Iwaizumi
“This close.” You pinch your fingers together as Hanamaki and Matsukawa look down at you in amusement. “This close to beating up your captain because his stupid fangirls give me his stupid fucking confessions to give to him because the girls at our school lack the balls to do it.”
“It can’t all be that bad.” Hanamaki muses as you hand him a certain one, the tall boy skimming the letter before his nose gushes out blood.
“Did...did you just get a nosebleed-”
"It’s rude to read a person’s mail!” Oikawa pipes up, snatching the letter from Hanamaki before pouting in your direction.
“It’s okay, they’re anonymous. Gotta make sure their not death threats.” You give the captain finger guns, and he gasps in shock in response.
“Who would want to wish death upon a face this pretty?”
“Iwaizumi.” Hanamaki and Matsukawa’s responses are immediate, and you stifle a laugh as Oikawa immediately sulks. Your best friend was in the locker room for a post-practice shower, not present to confirm nor deny that statement.
“Oh! Speaking of Iwa-chan, there’s a letter for him in here too.”
Huh?
“Ah. I forgot he’s a little popular too.” Matsukawa hums, snatching the letter out of Oikawa’s pile and putting it on your face. “Here.”
“And what do you expect me to do with this?” You swat Matsukawa’s hand away, a frown settling on your lips that doesn’t go unnoticed by Makki.
“Ooh, is our cute little manager jealous?”
“What are you, six?”
“Is she getting defensive, Makki?”
“I think she is, Matsukawa.”
“Stop.” You groan, shooing the third years away as the pair of friends oblige, chuckling among themselves while leaving you with Oikawa.
“Y/N...do you like Iwa-chan?”
“We’re best friends.”
“That didn’t answer my question.” Oikawa was oddly serious, seeming to desperately want the answer out of you as you tilt your head in confusion as he steps closer to you.
“What-?”
“The truth is, Iwa-chan-”
“Oi. Are you talking about me?”
Oikawa claps his hand over his mouth, Iwaizumi glaring at his childhood friend before shaking his head no quickly.
“Would you look at the time!” Oikawa peers at his nonexistent watch as Iwaizumi huffs through his nose, peering down at you next as you bite the inside of your cheek. On instinct, you had hidden the letter in your hand behind your back.
“What’s with you?” Iwaizumi questions, taking the towel slung over your shoulder to wipe at the nape of his neck. “Did that piece of shit say something weird to you?”
“That piece of shit is our friend.”
“Sadly.” Iwa’s response is immediate, and you giggle, making his features soften a little bit. “So did he?”
“Is there a dirty little secret I don’t know about?” You muse, crossing your arms as Iwa’s movements to dry the back of his neck seem to still momentarily.
“Nope.”
“Hm. Unconvincing.”
“What’s that behind your back?” The spiker changes the subject, and your mouth suddenly goes dry as the door sliding open steals both of your attention. Matsukawa smirked at you as Hanamaki flashed you a thumbs up as they left, Oikawa winking before taking his leave as well.
“We should get going too.” You awkwardly sidestep away, hesitation in your movement as Iwaizumi tilts his head in thought.
“Right, but first-”
You yelp, Iwaizumi faster than you as he pulls you by the shoulder, your back hitting his chest comfortably as his hand easily slips the letter out of your grasp.
“What’s this?”
Dammit.
“Oh um, a letter for you.”
Dammit. Dammit.
“Did you write it?”
Why do you feel so unsettled?
“N-No...”
Iwaizumi blinks, opening up the letter to skim its’ contents before you try to make a quiet escape. You don’t come out victorious, Iwa easily catching your collar as mid-sentence to corrupt your plans.
It’s quiet when he finishes reading it, and he crumples it up before shoving it in his pocket.
“Who’s the lucky girl? Do you know her?”
Your best friend ignores your upbeat tone, glancing at you with his hand shoved in his pocket.
“...why were you hiding it?”
“Hm?”
He begins to move towards you.
“Did you...not like me receiving a confession?”
“What are you talking about?” You move backwards with every step he takes forward, nervously avoiding his dark eyes as your back finally hits the wall.
“I didn’t even know it was a confession...” You ramble, and Iwa’s hand reaches out to touch the wall besides your waist, making your heart skip a beat. His stare was captivating, making your legs weak.
Since when did your best friend have such an effect on you?
“Iwa.” Your voice was near a whimper, making the dark-haired spiker wrap his arm around your waist, large hand resting on the small of your back. He seems uncertain with his movements, jaw clenched and forehead creased.
“Y/N.” Your noses were brushing now. “Would you hate me if I said I wanted to ruin our friendship?”
You stare at him in disbelief, finding your head shaking the slightest bit no-
and that’s all it takes for him to close the distance.
His large hand entangles in your hair, holding you closer to him as he kisses you deeply, yet gently. Your arms tremble as they wrap around his neck, pulling him towards you as you feel his lips softly turn upwards against yours.
Both of your breathing is heavy when you break the moment, heart beating out of your chest.
“Um, so what’s your answer to the confession-”
“Shut up.” Iwaizumi rolls his eyes, smirking when you giggle into the next kiss he presses on your lips.

LMAO RIP to the girls who wrote those confession letters in the first place, but they don’t exist don’t feel too guilty y’all <3

Sometimes is just a kiss
The news that Steve Rogers and Tony Stark kissed behind the bleachers spread quickly through the school. And it was only 10 o'clock on a Monday morning.
You had no idea who had spread the rumor around the campus, but knowing your luck, you were just waiting for the bomb to drop in your lap.
Besides, you hadn't spoken to Wanda since you gave her an orgasm against the walls of a locker room. You saw her briefly in the hallway between history and biology class, but she looked away quickly, and you rolled your eyes without patience.
It had been good sex, and you repeated that it was just that. Sex. That it shouldn't have happened, mainly because you were incompatible, and there were too many social barriers between you.
You should have known that Wanda would not break the expectations they had of her, to stay as someone as broken as you.
Closing the locker with more force than necessary, you walked out toward the history room.
Taking your place in the last chair by the window, you sit down as you wait for the class to begin. You have about five minutes of peace before an angry Tony Stark enters the room and walks toward you pointing his finger in your face in a threatening manner.
- I told you to mind your own business.
- What have I done to deserve this, Lord. - You grumble without patience, ignoring Stark completely. He lets out an angry exclamation and punches the table, making you jump with surprise.
- You'll pay for this, bitch. I'm going to-
You cut off his speech by pulling his hair and forcing his head against the table in a blow that makes a loud noise. He staggers back, shocked that he has been hit again. The room erupts in a hubbub and someone holds Tony back to stop him from jumping on you.
You stand up, gathering your notebooks, seeing that the history teacher was already signaling for you to talk to the counselor.
- You never learn, Stark. - You sneer, taking one last look at the boy's bloody nose before you leave the room, most of your classmates laughing.
- I'm so angry with you right now. - said your mother as soon as you both left the school. You didn't respond, walking with your hands in your pockets to the car. She started mumbling to herself, and only when you had been in the car a few minutes did she speak to you again.
- And the worst of it is that you hit my boss's son!
You let out a wry laugh as you looked out the car window at the view.
- I doubt very much that Howard Stark knows any of his employees, Mother.
- It doesn't matter. - she retorted, turning the wheel. You watched the landscape change as you turned the corner.
- At least I didn't get expelled. - You commented, your mother let out a wry laugh.
- Suspension is not a good thing! - she replies in an irritated tone. - And I even had to miss my shift to come get you. I honestly didn't raise you for that.
- That's the point, isn't it? - You retorted angrily, finally turning to face your mother.  - Did you ever raise me? Last time I checked, I've been raising myself for a long time.
Your mother assumes a disapproving expression, denying it with her head. You throw yourself back on the seat with your arms crossed.
- You've always been so unfair, you know. - She begins. - Who's picking you up from school now, huh? And who puts a roof over your head? Food on your plate? You raised yourself, that's a joke.
She grumbles again, but you just ignore it, shutting yourself off from your surroundings.
You barely register when the car pulls up in front of your house, startled when your mother slams the car door as you get out. You take off your seat belt, and step out.
- You are grounded, three months. - she says, and you just nod. It's not as if she was present enough to know where you were going anyway. - And you are going to help your aunt in the store while you are suspended.
You let out a protesting grunt.
- Really, there's nothing worse for me to do? - You ask, throwing yourself on the sofa in the living room, your mother giggles.
- Weren't you the one who was thinking that suspension is better than expulsion? Well, you're not going to be sitting around this week. - She said as she left her purse on the kitchen table, and walked towards the small office table in the corner of the room. - Now go to your room, I'm working from home today.
You roll your eyes, getting up. Dragging your feet to your room, you slam the door as you enter, throwing yourself against your bed.
You hope Tony Stark's nose is hurting.
You are very surprised to see Natasha Romanoff enter your aunt's mercenary, shortly after school hours. She smiles at you with amusement, walking over to the counter.
- Wow, interesting look. - She jokes, commenting on the blue uniform combined with a sailor's hat that your aunt makes her three employees wear. You laugh at Nat.
- How can I help you, ma'am? - You asked in an amused tone, she leaned her arms on the counter.
- I'm looking for a fighting dog. Do you sell these here?
You laugh at the insinuation. And then a customer enters the store, Nat moves aside for you to attend to a lady buying tomato sauce and noodles, and then as you check out, she speaks again.
- You caused a fuss at school with your fight. - She remarks, and you just grumble, counting the money. - By the way, how did you find out about Rogers and Stark's secret affair?
You shrug, smiling. - I saw them kissing the night of the game. Stark freaked out, by the way, typical.
Nat laughed, and began to look around the store. - It is nice here. I didn't know you worked.
- It's my aunt's. - You say, finally finishing counting the money in the cash register. - And I worked at the junkyard on Avenue Two until last year.
- Aren't you going to tell me that you were fired for fighting? - Nat teased, making you laugh.
- No, I asked to quit. - So you say. - I wanted a quiet senior year.
Nat nods, and walks around the store, stopping at the magazine section. You see three more customers before she returns.
- I have to get home before my mother freaks out. - She announced as soon as she reached the counter. You nodded. - But I want to know if you want to do something with me?
- I thought you had a boyfriend. - You joked, and Nat rolled her eyes humorously.
- Don't be a smartass.
You laugh.
- I will be helping out in the store during this week. - You say. - Because of the suspension. I leave at seven.
Nat nodded, assuming a contemplative expression for a moment.
- Do you know where Avengers' Bar is? Three blocks past the municipal hospital?
You nod, smiling.
- Sure, Nat. - You say. - I've already driven past it.
- Why haven't you ever gone inside? I'm always there.
- I wasn't in that area to drink. - You remark with a suggestive smile, and Nat just laughs and rolls her eyes.
- Well, I'll be there on Wednesday. Some colleagues from State are playing there. - She says, and writes down a phone number on one of the papers on the counter. - Text me if you're going to show up.
- Are you sure it's not a date? - You joke and Nat just winks at you before you leave. You keep her number in your uniform pocket.
Even from outside, you could hear the music from the bar muffled against the windows.
Avengers's Bar was a popular place in town, but only for a certain kind of people. Mainly frequented by punks, bikers, and artists, it was exactly the kind of place you liked but should avoid. With its history of fights, it wasn't exactly the kind of place you went to anymore.
A dark-haired girl in metal-working attire smiled at you from the doorway, looking at you mischievously as you walked through the door. You just nodded slightly.
Inside, you looked around for Natasha and her friends, but with the amount of people in the bar, it wasn't so easy to find them.
- Y/N! - shouted Thor when he spotted you in the crowd. You smiled, walking over to where he was standing. - We're on the top floor, Nat got a table. Come on, I just came to get some drinks.
You followed him to the bar, and helped him carry the drinks for the others. You didn't recognize any of the drinks they were making there, so you decided to just drink from everyone's glass, which made Thor laugh.
- Look who I found. - announced Thor as soon as you two arrived at the table. The group smiled when they saw you, and you greeted everyone with a kiss on the cheek and sat down next to Nat.
- We heard that you were suspended. - commented Clint, but he seemed almost proud. You shrugged awkwardly.
- She wasn't content to just punch Stark, she also slammed the bastard's head against the table! - Said Natasha excitedly, and the group laughed. You laughed half embarrassed, as you took a sip of the pink drink Nat had ordered.
They started talking about some scandal that happened at the federal school, and you did your best to react to it, not really knowing who the people they were talking about were. And then Valkyrie let out an exclamation, as if she had spotted someone, and stood up. A very pretty girl approached, smiling and hugging Valkyrie.
- I'm glad you could make it, Carol. - Valkyrie said the girl who waved to everyone. When you looked closely, you finally recognized her. Carol Danvers was an ex-student of your high school, having graduated last year. She used to be very popular, and you noticed the military silver necklace around her neck.
Carol sat down next to Valkyrie, and the two of them seemed so close that you thought maybe they were dating.
When the show started, everyone exclaimed with excitement, quickly getting up and walking to the stage area. You smiled as Nat dragged you by the hand, liking the feeling of having friends.
The band was surprisingly good, and you danced with excitement, feeling the alcohol make you lively and loose. You were surprised when Carol began to dance with you, her hands on your waist.
She was very attractive, so you didn't mind her kissing you. And you pushed away the feeling that she wasn't the person you wanted. When she pulled you into the bathroom, her hands roaming over you as she tugged off your clothes, you ignored every part of your body screaming that this was wrong. When she made you cum, you bit your lip to keep yourself from screaming Wanda's name.
Your suspension was finally over, and you gave the key to the store back to your aunt before you went to school.
You tried not to think about it too much, about how many college opportunities you had missed with that stain on your record. But if you were honest, you didn't even know if you wanted to go to college anymore. Every day the possibility of buying a motorcycle and traveling aimlessly getting closer to your real calling.
Many people stared at you when you arrived at school. The vast majority didn't even bother to look away. You rolled your eyes impatiently, reaching into your jacket pockets as you walked through the main doors.
You were slightly startled when Jessica Jones approached you in your locker, but you smiled awkwardly, taking off your headphones.
- Girl, you are a legend! - she said excitedly, pushing you lightly by the shoulders against the lockers. She stood close, and you thought maybe that was flirting. - By the way, I didn't have your number to text you.
She took a pen from her bag, and grabbed your hand, writing down her own number while flashing you a mischievous smile.
- Text me, let's do something this week. - She says as she lets go of your hand. You blink slightly, and nod, a little awkwardly. Jessica doesn't seem to notice, and smiles, leaving afterwards.
You hear a whistle, and Nat looks at you with curiosity.
- You are stealing hearts, huh. - She teases, and you feel your face heat up, still surprised by the whole interaction. - By the way, are you and Carol on a real thing?
- What? - you ask in surprise. - No, I don't think so. It was just sex in a concert restroom, Natasha. I don't think she even knew my name. - You remark as you turn toward the redhead. She laughs, finishing putting her books away.
- Actually she asked me for your number. - She says, and you look at her in surprise. - But then I see you with Jones, and I have to admit, it's a tough choice. - Nat teases, making you laugh. You start walking down the hall together, walking towards the classrooms. You think Nat has said something about the show, but your attention is elsewhere. As you walk past Wanda and Peter Maximoff, everything seems to slow down, you notice the slight flush on Wanda's cheeks when her gaze meets yours, and you both hold your breath as you walk past each other. But the next second everything is as it was before, and you sigh, focusing your attention on Nat.
When you arrive in the literature room, you are happy to know that Nat sits next to you.
You hate the cafeterias. So when Nat invites you to join her at the outside tables you think it's the best lunch you have ever had.
The outside courtyard is relatively less crowded than the other places in the school, and you are in the middle of a discussion about the new TV series that launched over the weekend, when Nat signals to something behind you.
Coming out of the school, and heading towards the table where you were standing, was Sharon Carter, accompanied by her pet friend, Pepper Potts. And you really thought you could have a quiet lunch.
- To what do I owe the honor, Carter? - you asked ironically as they reached your table.
- You stay away from my boyfriend. - She spoke in a serious tone, and before you could say anything, she tipped the glass of soda she held over your head.
You felt your whole body boil with irritation and you stood up abruptly, seeing red. But Natasha tugged on your forearm, whispering something about your suspension. Sharon and Pepper seemed to be slightly startled by your posture, but they let out a wry chuckle and went back inside the school.
You tugged on Nat's arm, then left the courtyard and headed for the changing rooms. You needed a cold shower to calm yourself down, or you would do something that would surely cause your expulsion.
Since the athletic games period had not yet started, the gym locker room was empty. You sighed with relief as you found your spare change of clothes in your locker.
Walking toward the bathroom stalls, you quickly undressed, and stepped into the shower, letting the cold water wash all the soda and anger from your body.
Leaning your head against the wall, you let out a sigh, thinking about all the shit that was going on in your life in less than two weeks. And then your mind went back to Wanda, and you let out a breathless groan, laughing humorlessly. The cold water didn't help to chill the new heat that settled under your stomach. You turned off the shower, then stepped out to put on your clothes.
On your way out of the locker room, you saw something you would rather not have seen. The universe seemed to be testing your anger today.
Wanda was being pressed against the wall of the indoor bleachers, which at that time was empty and perfect for those who wanted to make out in a secluded spot. It was a tall boy, but you couldn't see his face, which was buried in Wanda's neck, kissing her. And then she opened her eyes, and looked straight at you. You saw him pull down his pants and enter her, and she moaned with her mouth ajar, without taking her eyes off you. She had a gleam in her eyes that made your whole body tremble.
You gripped the strap of your purse tightly, controlling the impulse to go over and beat the boy until he passed out, and spun on your feet, walking out the back door.
Fucking day, you thought as you walked back to school.
Eventually, you thanked Nat for keeping you from hitting Sharon. She shrugged, saying that she didn't want you to be expelled now that you were becoming friends, and you tried not to be too happy about it.
On Wednesday, Carol Danvers showed up at the door of the school on a motorcycle. This is sure to be a long-lasting gossip, you thought as you and Nat greeted her on the way out. Several students looked at you, many of them impressed by Carol's motorcycle, others impressed to see her back at school, but the vast majority trying to ask how you knew her.
- What's up, Danvers? - You say to her with a slight nod. Carol looks at you as if she wants to undress you right there, but you have your gaze on her motorcycle, attentive to the details of the vehicle.
- Hey, pretty girl. - She answers while leaning against the vehicle.
- Jesus, you are not even seeing me. - Nat teases and Carol just laughs, giving her a kiss on the cheek. - Tell me, what brings you back to your beloved school?
- I came to say hello. - says Carol. - And to invite you both to a concert on Saturday.
- And you didn't text me because you missed me. - Nat rebuts in a provocative tone, Carol smiles, and then looks at you, before confirming. You don't really know what to say.
- If the music is good, I'm in. - You joke and Nat agrees. Carol takes two tickets out of her pocket and hands them to you.
- I'll pick you up, okay? - She offers it to you. You think about refusing, without really knowing why. But you nod in agreement before you can think about it too much.
- Okay, lovebirds. I'll leave you two alone because I'm starting to get the urge to puke. - Nat jokes one last time, before heading out toward the parking lot. You imagine that she will use the break time to smoke a bit.
You shift your weight between your feet before turning your gaze back to Carol.
- I was surprised to hear that you asked Nat for my number. - You comment, and Carol smiles.
- I like to talk to pretty girls. - She says, and you roll your eyes humorously at the flirtation. She laughs, biting her lips, and you allow her to rest her hands on your waist, perhaps too low.
- Are you looking for something serious, Danvers? - you ask with a slight irony. Carol looks at you in mild surprise.
- You don't think it has anything to do with me, do you?
- Sorry, the motorcycle and the leather jacket gave you away. - You respond humorously. - I get it, because it's my game.
Carol laughs.
- I'm enjoying our time together. - she confesses. - But I'll be back at the station in a few weeks. I can't make any promises.
You nod, without really being bothered by it. Carol is not the one you wanted to be with. And to push those thoughts away, you kiss her. She smiles, deepening the kiss slightly. You think she squeezed your ass, but you're not really paying attention.
And then you break apart, and she smiles at you.
- I'll see you Saturday, right? - she asks, and you nod, letting her kiss you one last time.
When she finally starts the motorcycle and drives away, you notice the mischievous and suggestive looks you receive.
And you try not to let your anger peak, but then you notice Stark's group in the corner of the school, laughing openly. You'll need to walk past them to get inside, and you really hope that none of them will test your patience.
- Hey weirdo, who was your girlfriend? - shouts Tony Stark. You know, you really think maybe he is brain damaged. His friends laugh at the joke, and you think you will ignore it, but then he shouts again. - I'm talking to you, dyke!
He throws something at you, missing you by inches. You watch the red liquid run down in front of your feet.
You think, this is it. This is how I'm going to get expelled. By sticking a straw in Tony Stark's eye. You wondered if prison life was worth it.
But then the laughter died down in the next second, and you watched Tony turn pale.
- Mr. Stark, please come with me. - A male voice sounded behind you. The school principal was a scary man, and he was hardly ever seen outside his classroom. He never witnessed his students' conflicts, and Fury never bothered him with such matters. Tony's paleness was understandable.
- P-Professor Thanos, I don't...
- Now. - says the man finally, and Tony stiffens his jaw as he follows him. He gave you an angry look before leaving.
The buzz started as soon as they entered the school, but you didn't really pay attention to anyone. Ignoring the middle finger Steve Rogers threw at you, you went back inside the school.
Tony Stark was punished with detention. You rolled your eyes when the rumor reached you. They had also said that his father refused to pick him up and that the driver was the one who talked to Fury. You would have sympathy for Stark if he wasn't a complete imbecile.
You had chemistry again, and you really weren't in the mood to see Wanda, but you had no choice.
And then Professor Agatha was feeling particularly inspired today, and decided to switch lab partners. You ended up on the same bench as Darcy Lewis and Pietro Maximoff, you being the only trio due to the odd number of students. You sighed against your bad luck.
The experiment that Mrs. Harkness performed was not difficult, but it could be dangerous if you didn't pay attention. So you just listened to Darcy's instructions, and everything was working out fine. Then Pietro Maximoff decided that his attention was better placed on a girl sitting behind him, and started flirting. Darcy rolled her eyes, smiling at you.
In the blink of an eye, you heard a scream of pain. Pietro had forgotten the limits of the counter itself, and stretching his arms most likely to impress the girl behind you, he slammed his hand against the chemical glass jar behind him. Darcy stepped back to avoid being hit, but you were quick to help Pietro, pulling his arm into the sink on the counter, turning on the faucet as you hurried to get as much of the acidic liquid off his skin as possible.
Pietro sighed with relief, probably feeling the pain disappear as you rubbed the soap into his skin. He was extremely surprised, as was the rest of the room.
- Very efficient reaction, Miss Y/L/N. - commented Ms. Harkness as she approached you, holding a cloth to dry Pietro. - I'll add an extra point to your average for that. Mr. Maximoff, please go to the infirmary.
Pietro wrapped the cloth around his injured hand, and looked at you with a mixture of hesitation and confusion in his eyes, but he nodded in thanks.
Harkness asked someone to call the janitor to clean up the shards, and then continued the class. You found it hard to concentrate when you noticed Wanda's gaze on you.
Jessica Jones kisses you against the wall of the second floor locker room.
You exchanged a few messages, mostly innocent jokes. And then Jessica said she had something amazing to show you, and when you met her after third period, in the not-so-isolated locker room, she pushed you up against the wall and kissed you on the mouth.
Jessica tasted like coke and something sweet, and she likes to bite. You had to remind yourself that you were kissing someone while you were doing it, not feeling connected to her really.
And then two girls came into the bathroom giggling and she let you go.
- Sorry for the scare. - She joked, her lips swollen. You shrugged, smiling slightly.
- What inspired you to do this? - you teased, putting your hands on her waist.
- You of course. Punching assholes and saving people. It's hot. - She says and then she checks her cell phone. - Damn, I have chemistry now. I can't be late.
She steals a kiss from you and quickly leaves. You blink, not really understanding what has happened.
As you go downstairs, you realize that the cheerleading squad is coming out of the locker room, and Sharon and Potts give you a death stare as you walk past them. And then, as you pass through the door to the women's dressing room, you hesitate. All your logic tells you to go on your way, but then your feet are turning and you walk into the dressing room, looking around.
You let out a sigh as you find who you were looking for. Wanda is changing clothes, wearing only her cheer skirt, and a bra. Your intimacy pulsates with the image. Wanda lets out a surprised exclamation at seeing you there, but then she lets out a mischievous smile, and continues undressing.
Slowly, she lets the skirt slide down her thighs. You bite your lower lip hard as it falls to the floor.
And then two other cheerleaders come out of one of the aisles behind you, and the giggles die down when they see you. One of the girls turns to Wanda:
- Is this girl bothering you, Wandy? - she asks in a honeyed voice.
- And what are you, a watchdog? - You retort before Wanda can answer. The girl gives you a death glare. - Mind your own business, nosy.
The other girl approaches you, looking at you with disdain. - We don't like street trash here. Why don't you go back to your junkyard?
You swallowed dryly, trying to control your anger. The smaller girl giggled, and you looked at Wanda, who looked in shock, before you stormed out of the dressing room slamming the door.
You knew you shouldn't do that, but your feet dragged you out into the field of trailers.
You walked a long way until you arrived. And when you entered the courtyards, many of the residents looked at you with a frown. But you ignore them, as you walk between the houses. You knock hard on the door of one of the trailers farthest away. It takes a moment before a tall, muscular boy answers it.
He lets out a wry laugh when he sees you.
- Visiting old friends? - He teases, you don't smile.
- I need to break something, Erik. - You say simply, and he sighs. And then he closes the door, and you walk together in the opposite direction, out of the trailer park.
You have known Erik Killmonger since kindergarten. His life wasn't exactly the easiest. You used to hang out together in high school, but then Erik started getting into a lot of fights, and it was rumored that he joined a gang. He didn't tell you anything, and when you asked, he told you to mind your own business. And then, in the second year, he was expelled for breaking the jaw of Johann Schmidt, one of the seniors at the school. You remember never seeing Erik so angry. But you never knew the reason for the fight. And then he drifted away, and even though you missed him, you didn't push him.
- Here it is. - Erik said as you reached an abandoned area a few feet beyond the trailers. He handed you a wooden stick, and you took a deep breath before you started smashing through the abandoned objects there, most of them junk.
- Fuck that fucking school. - You shouted as you hit a bottle, the glass splattering through the air. Erik just stood at a safe distance, his hands in his pockets. - Fuck Tony Stark. - You shouted, a wooden box shattering with the blow of your bat. And then you noticed a tall dead tree trunk a few yards away, and you stepped forward, aggressively slamming your bat several times against the tree. - Fuck Wanda Maximoff. - And the staff shattered with the force of your blow. You let out a sigh, throwing the object to the ground, as you sat down down on the grass.
Erik walked over to you, and he said nothing about the tears streaming down your face.
- Do you want to talk about it? - he asked as he sat down beside you. You nodded in denial.
- I want you to tell me something about yourself. - You said, wiping your face.
- Um, let me think. - He says, putting his arms behind him and leaning back, he looks relaxed. - My mother is in town.
You turn your head to him in surprise. He smiles.
- Yes, I know, that's nice. - He comments. - But I won't get my hopes up. She could leave at any moment.
- I hope she stays. - You say.
- So do I.
You stand there in silence for a moment, then Erik stands up, then offers his hand to help you stand. You sigh and accept.
- Let's get something to eat, you're paying. - He says, causing you to smile ironically.
You end up at one of the dinner stands across the main road from the trailer park. You buy Erik a hamburger and fries, but you decide to just have a milkshake.
- This is all about a girl, isn't it? - he asks after a while, and you almost deny it. But you just shrug your shoulders in agreement, taking a sip of your milkshake. - Is it someone I know?
- Maybe. - you say, and Erik frowns humorously. He eats some chips, assuming a thoughtful expression.
- That's hard, I've never seen you paying attention to anyone at school. - he says. - What about that redheaded girl in the locker next to yours?
You laugh and nod your head in denial. Erik smiles, thinking again.
- What about that girl in your chemistry class? The one you said was smart?
- Darcy? - You ask and he confirms, you just smile. - No, I wish. Darcy would be less complicated.
Erik laughs, and then pushes the rest of the potatoes to you.
- Why don't you just tell me? - he asks, but his tone is not accusatory, just provocative.
- Because I don't want to admit it. - You confess, accepting the potatoes. It takes a moment, and then you speak. - I think I'm falling in love with Wanda Maximoff.
You don't look at Erik, fearing his reaction. But then he lets out a sigh, and drags his hand across the table, offering it to you. You accept, and he holds your hand warmly.
- You, my friend, are totally screwed. - He teases, making you laugh. - But keep calm. Passions go away as fast as they come.
You nod, squeezing his hand before letting go. You eat in silence, and you can't help but think how much you missed him.
Debates test your patience. And as if that weren't irritating enough, you still share this class with Wanda.
You don't look at her when you enter the room, but you feel her gaze on you. Throwing yourself on the last chair in the room, you stand with your headphones on and sink your head into your arms on the desk, wishing for the school year to end soon.
When Professor Hill enters the room, you are surprised that one of your classmates nudges you to warn you, and you smile in appreciation as you straighten your posture and put your cell phone away.
- I hope you have read the book I asked for, children. - She announces as she puts her bag on the table, and walks to the front of the cabinet, leaning against the wood as she looks around the room. - We will discuss it in class today.
The room lets out a chorus of displeasure, but the teacher lets out a chuckle. Her debates were famous for ending up in heated discussions, plus they made up about fifty percent of the grade. If you didn't say anything, you had to write a report of the discussions.
The teacher took a copy of the book from her purse, and held it with both hands.
- "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man, possessing a good fortune, must be in need of a wife." - She read, walking around the room.  - Who can tell me what the line implies about women?
- It's the old-fashioned way of saying that women prefer rich guys. - Steve Rogers sneered, drawing giggles from his teammates in the room. Mrs. Hill, however, just sighed with disappointment.
- No, Mr. Rogers. - she said, cutting off the laughter immediately. - If you have no intention of participating seriously in the debate, I suggest you remain silent.
Steve let out a lame laugh, shrugged, and whispered something to his tablemate. You rolled your eyes impatiently, resting your face in your hand. And then you watched Wanda Maximoff raise her arm up.
- Yes, Wanda? - nodded Mrs. Hill waiting for the answer.
- I think it's about a reaffirmation of the status of the man. As if the woman is a trophy to prove his status and position. - She says. - It objectifies women completely.
You blinked, slightly impressed. Wanda was always smart, after all. But then the boys in class giggled, and the redhead seemed to shrug her shoulders. Professor Hill, however, smiled at her.
- Interesting position, Miss Maximoff. - she said, and walked back around the room. - Let's talk a little about the main romance of the book. - She says, and looks reproachfully quickly at two boys who are whispering, and they fall silent. - I'd like to know what you think about Elizabeth and Darcy's relationship, and how we can bring the book's issues into our current society. Do you believe that the same prejudices are faced today?
The room explodes into excitement, and you feel like going home. Mrs. Hill looks around, and waves to calm the students.
- Please, class. Raise your hand who believes that Elizabeth and Darcy would easily marry today?
The vast majority of the students raise their hands. And someone makes a comment that they would get laid on the first date, and many laugh. You play with your pencil, twirling it on your finger, and then feel a light elbow on your arm. Your classmate nods her head forward, and you blink in confusion, realizing that Ms. Hill has called your attention.
- I'm sorry, Mrs. Hill. What is it? - you ask, straightening your posture. She smiles tenderly.
- I asked why you didn't raise your hand. - She repeats. - Could you share with the class your position?
You let out a sigh, thinking about it. And then you lean back in your chair, putting your hands in your pockets, and trying not to get intimate with the stares in the room.
- I really don't understand how everyone here can say that we no longer have social rules for relationships. - You say. - If Darcy and Elizabeth were from the present day, the prejudices portrayed in the books would only be different, but they would still be there. We have many ways of forbidding people to relate to each other, even in this school.
- Interesting. Please continue. - the teacher said, leaning back against her desk. You let out a sigh, trying to organize your opinion into words.
- I can give an example of how we divide the social groups around here. - you say. - It's not like the jocks are seen hanging out with the kids in the theater. Elizabeth would definitely be one of the smart girls, and Darcy would be the dumb brat. Sort of like a Tony Stark.
The room erupted in giggles, and you watched Steve Rogers lock his jaw, commenting something to his classmate. Professor Hill gave you a warning look, beckoning the class to be quiet.
- So you believe that Darcy and Elizabeth would not be together in the present days? - she asks you, and you shrug.
- I don't think Darcy would break the expectations people have of him for Elizabeth. - You state. - And besides, she can do better than that.
Some students laughed at your comment, and Mrs. Hill smiled at you. And then she asked if anyone had a different opinion, and you were slightly surprised to see Wanda raise her hand again.
- I think they would end up together. - She says. - They are really in love, and just like in the book, I think Darcy just needs time to understand everything, and to build up some courage.
- And Elizabeth should expect him to have some guts, then? - You cut Wanda off. The room looks at you in surprise, and Wanda turns in her chair, a look of mixed defiance and surprise, but you don't back away. - While he decides whether she is worth it, should she just wait around?
- Elizabeth needs to understand that Darcy also has his own issues. - Wanda retorts. - That it's not easy to let go of all the expectations people place on you.
You laugh lightly with irony.
- Of course Darcy would be quite comfortable keeping Elizabeth waiting. - You say with mild irritation. - Besides, Elizabeth is also going through a lot. She deserves to have someone who chooses her.
- That's not what we're arguing about. - Wanda replies. - No one is questioning Elizabeth's worth. I'm saying that they would be together, but that they need time.
- And I'm saying that Darcy has to stop being such a gutless pussy and make a decision soon. Elizabeth is not going to pause her life just to wait for him.
- She would do that if she really liked Darcy. - Retorts the redhead, you blink in disbelief.
You think the room held its breath with your debate with Wanda, and you would have continued if the teacher hadn't interrupted.
- Okay, I think we're getting a little nervous. - She cut in, and you blinked awkwardly, stopping to look at Wanda. The room murmured quietly again as Wanda turned back to face the front. - Thank you for your opinions, ladies. Now let's move on, who can offer a reflection on marriage in the book?
The class continued for a while, but you completely disconnected. Your heart was racing and you realized that the discussion you had was not about Darcy or Elizabeth. Wanda was asking you to wait for her. And you felt a strong urge to punch something. And then you focused your attention completely on the literature report, ignoring the debate completely.

Dreams, Drugs, and Minecraft
30/04/2022 - Saturday - 8:34pm
Okay, I’ll admit it. I’m not the best at coding. I mean, come on, getting a simple modal popup into my pre-coded theme on Tumblr? Seems simple enough, right? But not for me, apparently. So, I’m doing what I’m always doing.
I am procrastinating doing something actually productive by doing “something productive.” And while I do agree that finally writing a blog post and setting up my blog for me to use and flourish on is important, I should also get up and do something else. Or is that me procrastinating actually finishing anything by doing one of the other things on my to-do list? Which I’m almost guaranteed to not completely finish. Or am I? Is that too pessimistic?
My thoughts are everywhere if you can’t tell. I smoked a joint yesterday and then ate a very good 10mg gummy about an hour after. So, needless to say, I was still high in the morning my dear readers. And because I had an exhausting week, instead of doing anything today, I breathed easy and took another gummy. Then, I began to play minecraft, trying to find an ancient city in the latest snapshot. It’s not going well, but then it never does.
Frankly, my dear, I’m terrible at minecraft. Which I know many will say that there’s no way I could be bad at minecraft, but I promise you I am. There’s so much I’ve never accomplished on my own. Not the nether, not the end, never found diamond organically, and I’ve never made an iron farm. Needless to say, I feel unaccomplished in my life. I’m not doing anything great. I’m not saying anything or doing anything in a time when there is so much to be done.
There’s that procrastination again, that lack of drive and motivation. But am I just saying that because I’ve decided to take a break and conserve my energy for today? Or am I justifying not pushing myself? Because the only way to success is through hard work and some may say that within itself is an outdated way to think. It feels easy for us to blame “the system” for the lack of success we’ve had. Or is that an excuse for us to never even start because it won’t work, so why try? And allow me one more turn my dear because could it be that the reason we’ve formed that opinion is because that’s what we’re being led to? Does the controlling class want us to feel so muh pressure (of success, of survival, of extissentialism, of remorse, of failure, of connotations, of-) at the bottom that we don’t even attempt the uprising because we’re too comfortable or tired?
But I was talking about procrastinating attempting to find an organic ancient city in minecraft by attempting to build a modal popout again and procrastinating that by writing my first blog post. And the wheel turns, yes? I almost got up and started doing laundry while I was in the midst of writing this. Am I procrastinating or am I just mentally ill? Which is true, I’ve been off my anti-depressants for about a year now, and I’ve just started to feel the effects of that last month. Pretty good for me, in my opinion.  So, now, I can officially say that I’ve begun my dream of publishing my writing. I have taken one thing off of my list. You can say you’ve read my exact first blog post that was up before I almost even finished the blog. (I did end up doing so because the idea of someone clicking onto my blog before it was finished was horrifying.) So, there’s something off of your list that you didn’t even know was on there.
To our continuous meetings,
Terra

Part 2
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
"Who's that?" Rosé asks, leaning in closer to the maknae as she points to a slightly recognizable face in the crowd.
"I dunno," Lisa shrugs, throwing a thumb over her shoulder, "ask Jisoo." The Australian does as she says, padding over to seek out an answer from their unnie.
"Y/N L/N, I believe. Her company is supposed to make a big announcement later." Jisoo informs, adding a nod to the end of her statement for certainty. Jennie stands beside them all, taking in the crowd of staff and business people hailing from all of the most powerful entertainment companies in Korea. The big dogs have all gathered here tonight to drop some major announcements for their upcoming projects and set up arrangements for future endeavors.
"What do you think it'll be?" Jennie asks, eyes still trained on you as you converse with a famous actress. Her breath catches in her throat when you throw your head back, eyes filling with tears of laughter at something the high class woman said. You're absolutely stunning.
"It could be anything, honestly. Her company's full of talent in every category."
"Yeah, their newest girl group broke a record for Youtube streams in the first hour after release. Still didn't beat ours, though," Lisa adds with a smug look, holding her head a little higher. She's only playing, of course -- she's one of the most humble people Jennie knows.
"She's really pretty," Jennie breathes out, speaking the words that have been rolling around in her mind since she laid eyes on you. The other girls adamantly agree, nodding their heads with purpose.
"Do you wanna go talk to her? YG would probably like that; maybe we can let Jisoo do a little schmoozing." Rosé smirks, playfully nudging the unnie. Jisoo rolls her eyes with an amused scoff, quickly swatting the blonde's hand away.
"I don't know, she seems pretty busy." Her words are unsure, weary -- her normal confidence is wavering a bit, now replaced with some type of nervousness that she can't quite explain. This isn't like her; why is she so anxious?
"Come on, it'll be fun." Lisa decides for them, leading the way with Jennie's hand clutched in her own; the brunette would surely slip away otherwise.
They approach you from an angle, caught right in your blind spot as you continue your small talk with a new business exec. The man sees the girls behind you, waiting for their turn, and after a few more moments he leaves you with an office number to reach him by.
"Good evening… Y/N, right?" Jisoo leads politely, smiling as you turn to face them. You look even more dazzling up close, and Jennie's posture stiffens. She's definitely seen you somewhere before.
"That's me," you say sweetly, greeting all of them and committing their names to memory.
"Jennie," she introduces, stretching a hand out to you. Your eyes flutter down to it before you grasp it within your own, the simple action appearing unbelievably cute to her.
"How're you doing tonight? I hear you've got some big news for us." Lisa wiggles her eyebrows, voice bouncy with anticipation.
You giggle, and Jennie thinks it may just be the sweetest thing she's ever heard. "It's a little hectic, if I'm honest, but I'm enjoying myself. What about you guys? And you'll just have to wait and see what we have in store for you." You end the sentence with a wink that just happened to be directed at Jennie, despite Lisa being the one to ask the question. She tries to fight the blush that soon rises to her cheeks.
"We're doing well, I'd say. It's actually kind of nice to get out of the dorm and meet some new people." Rosé says almost wistfully, her eyes sending a fleeting glance around the room at her statement.
"I know how that can feel. When I was first starting out I didn't get many opportunities for roles. But then I met my manager at the café I picked up a second job at, and the rest is history." You smile softly at the memory, recalling the events of that fateful day. You can't imagine where you'd be right now if things had played out differently.
"You're an actress?" Jisoo asks, sounding like she just put two-and-two together. You nod at her, noticing the way that Jennie looks at you in deep thought. You can practically see the wheels turning.
"So that's where I recognize you from. You guest starred in that JTBC miniseries earlier this year, didn't you?"
"Ding ding ding, we have a winner." You smile, bowing your head in praise. It warms your heart to see her face light up, knowing that she finally felt that rush of putting her finger on the elusive thoughts in her head. Pulling knowledge you previously believed forgotten from the foggy depths of your brain is a rewarding experience in itself, and you're pleased that she remembered you.
"I'm glad I made an impression during my short time on screen," you quirk, leaning in closer to her.
"With skills like yours? You're unmatched, Y/N." She flirts, finally finding her bearings again. Her confidence is returning now, slowly but surely, and she pats herself on the back for not hiding behind her hands when you send her a tempting smile.
"Ah, you're too kind--" you begin, only to be cut off by a tap on your shoulder. It's one of your co-stars.
"Good evening, ladies," he bows, "I'm sorry to break this up, but Y/N is needed by management."
Your shoulders sag at this, his words sinking in. You'd much rather spend the night tucked away with the girls, getting to know them better -- especially Jennie, who makes your heart speed up anytime she looks at you.
"I hate to go," they nod in agreement, sad to have to part ways. They really enjoyed speaking with you, and they'd be lying if they said they wanted to stop anytime soon.
"But maybe I'll catch you later?" The question sounds hopeful, albeit a bit unsure as you scrunch your face up. They affirm that they'd "like that very much," and your shoulders relax a bit. Maybe there's still some hope for you all.
◇◇◇◇◇  2 Hours Later  ◇◇◇◇◇
"Exactly! She shouldn't have forgiven him after that," you rant to Jisoo, talking about some characters from your favorite kdrama.
"Babo, I tell you." She says dramatically, rolling her eyes. The action garners a chuckle from you, and Jennie finds herself smiling as she follows along with the conversation. She must've made her staring too obvious, because a minute later your eyes meet hers from across the table. She blinks, surprise etched gracefully into her features, and she clears her throat. Both of you have been stealing glances at one another all night, and things have only ramped up since you snuck away from management to see them again. You assured them you wouldn't get in trouble, but that was honestly the last thing on your mind.
From her seat across from you, Jennie can see the curve of your body, your silhouette highlighted by the lights that shine on the wall behind you. They're dimmed somewhat to give a comfortable, soft glow to the room, and they contrast with the perfect curve of your face. She lets her eyes trail lower, admiring the expanse of your chest and how your fingers rest against the table, mindlessly playing with the expensive tablecloth.
What you do next makes her choke on the water she had so bravely dared to take a drink of.
You lean forward slightly, just enough for her to see your cleavage, while still appearing inconspicuous and innocent. The smirk you try to suppress tells her you know exactly what you're doing, and her cheeks grow hot.
"Excuse me," she mutters to the table, quickly standing and all but running outside for some fresh air. She wants -- needs -- to put some distance between the two of you if she plans to have any self control.
Cool air immediately greets her as she steps outside, hearing the sleek automatic door slide shut behind her. She can breathe now, and begin to soothe her racing mind. Despite only knowing you for the better part of 4 hours, she's already attracted to you. Way more than she cares to admit, as she presses her thighs together to put out the fire you started within her.
No more than 5 minutes later, the doors slide open once more.
"Everything alright?" You ask, tone dripping with amusement as you take in her flustered state. It's obvious that she's okay, just simply turned on.
"Never better," she mumbles, glancing up at you with a lopsided smile.
"You know, you ran out pretty fast back there. You sure know how to worry a girl." You fake a pout at her.
"Oh, you don't say?" She plays along, approaching you with what few shreds of confidence she has left. She tucks a strand of hair behind your ear, whispering into it, "Well, I'm all good."
"Wanna see for yourself?" She continues, drawing back slightly to take your hands within her own and wrap them around her waist. She smiles as they roam over her body, making sure to be thorough as you "check her out."
She groans when your hand grazes over a sweet spot on her thigh, causing you to pause and tut at her, "Tsk tsk, Jennie. It looks like I'll have to inspect this a little further." She gulps at your words, mind clouded once again by filthy thoughts of you.
"Let's get out of here," she suggests, taking your hand to lead you away. You chuckle at her eagerness, only capable of nodding as she basically drags you to her car.
◇◇◇◇◇
Despite feeling like two horny teenagers, you and Jennie actually opted to slow things down and get to know each other more. She's one of the most interesting people you've ever met, and you could listen to her talk for hours on end. The feeling is beyond mutual, and she doesn't mind that she has to wait a little longer to have you. The promise of what the night will hold for the two of you thrills her, and the anticipation only heightens her feelings.
Takeout containers lay abandoned in her car, long forgotten about as you sit next to each other on the hood. The chilly surface of the windshield presses against your back, making you all the more thankful for having had the foresight to wear a coat tonight. You make a mental note to thank your stylist for the suggestion.
Stars are beginning to twinkle in the distance, slowly coming out of their peaceful slumber to greet the evening sky. They bring to mind all the nights you spent in your backyard as a child, laid out on a warm blanket as you gazed up into space. Back when only trivial issues existed in your world, leaving you with an unscarred heart and unadulterated outlook on life. Those times were simple, only complicated by whatever drama was going on at school or what new person your friends liked. Back then you had no idea of what the future held for you -- what you'd end up doing with your life. If you had a chance to talk to your younger self, you'd tell her to enjoy those days as much as possible; to not take them for granted for even a second.
Everyday you're reminded that fame is truly a blessing and a curse -- you miss the days that you could roam the streets freely with whomever you wanted to, not having to worry about paparazzi or the media, but you're thankful for where you are now. You get to do what you love, everyday, and make money from it -- it's what everyone wishes for in life; and although you've worked your ass off to get here, you owe a lot of credit to the fans.
"It's so beautiful up here," Jennie says, voice stuck between a whisper and sigh as she lays her head on your shoulder.
"You see that building over there, with the orange lights and trees around it?" You ask, pointing in the direction of the building. Her eyes follow the invisible path your finger makes, and she spots it, nodding for you to continue.
"My mom used to work there; it's a daycare. I always loved helping out. The kids were so adorable." A bittersweet smile plays on your lips as you look down at your lap, clearly reminiscing. Jennie notices, brushing a strand of hair out of your face as she says, "I bet you miss it."
"I do," you sigh, clenching your jaw briefly, "those were the days. Seoul's home, but sometimes it feels so distant."
"I know how that feels." You don't miss the way her eyes cast down, a hint of sadness behind them, her fingers toying with yours on her thigh. Life in the spotlight isn't all it's cracked up to be, and neither of you are strangers to that all too familiar pang of longing.
"I'm happy to be here with you tonight, though," you try to turn the conversation cheery again, and Jennie's thankful for that. "I haven't had this much fun in a long time."
Your plan works, and soon she's pepping up. "Me neither. Being with you feels...different. In a good way." Your smile widens exponentially when she adds, "A very good way."
"Don't get too cheesy on me, now," you roll your eyes teasingly, wrapping both of your arms around her and pulling her flush up against your body. She lays her head on your chest, reveling in the scent of your perfume and the warmth radiating from you. Her hand comes to rest against your ribs, lightly rubbing patterns against them as the two of you continue star gazing. She can feel your heartbeat pick up when she slides her hand downwards, playing with the hem of your shirt innocently.
Does she have any idea what she's doing to you?
Yes, yes she does. After all, your body is basically selling you out at this point.
"Y/N?"
"Mmm?" You hum, eyes closed and head leaned back against the windshield. Her skin is soft against yours, and your shared warmth has put you at ease.
"Do you wanna go somewhere? I really don't want the night to be over yet." Your heart flutters at her words; the fact that a woman such as Jennie is so reluctant to leave you is baffling in itself.
"I'd love that, Jennie. What did you have in mind?"
For a moment, Jennie's mind takes it there. She allows herself to imagine what it would be like to feel your skin against hers, connection unrestricted by clothing; how your kisses would feel against her lips, her body; what beautiful sounds you would make as she pushed you closer and closer to the edge. She can't deny how attracted she is to you, nor does she want to; but she also doesn't want to ruin the innocent moments you're sharing. She doesn't want to taint them with the lustful ideas that flood her mind anytime you give her that look, or caress her thigh absentmindedly.
"How does the park sound?"
"With you? There's nowhere I'd rather be."
Despite her efforts, Jennie blushes at your statement, feeling that embarrassing warmth creep up the back of her neck. You've made her blush more in the span of one night than she previously had in her entire life, and that boosts your confidence tenfold.
"Who's being cheesy now, huh?" She asks, pinching your side playfully as she sits up. Her legs swing around until she's fully facing you, sitting criss-cross as the two of you smile at one another.
Neither of you move for a while, both content with just admiring each other's beauty. Her fingers lace with yours, and after a moment she brings your hand up to her lips to lay a kiss to it. The action -- more so, how soft her lips are against your skin -- catches you off guard, and your breathing hitches. All at once, you're acutely aware of how badly you want to kiss her.
As if things couldn't get anymore tempting, her tongue darts out of her mouth to soothe her lips, making them glisten in the dying light of the evening.
She sees your eyes dart down to them, and her body leans closer to you ever so slightly, seemingly having a mind of its own. You meet her gaze again, silently asking for permission as you glance back down at her lips. She responds by giving one single nod before leaning in close enough that your noses almost brush against each other.
"You're stunning." The compliment sounds breathy as it slips out of your mouth, but you're beyond caring at this point. Your pride was thrown out the window the second Jennie showed interest in you.
"Don't look at me like that," she says, gently biting the inside of her cheek to keep herself from closing the distance. She wants you to be the one to do it.
"Like what?"
"Like you're undressing me with your eyes." Her gaze casts down to your lips again, seemingly glued there as she watches them move when you speak your reply.
"You act like you weren't doing the same thing at the event." Her confidence falters momentarily, but she fights to hold her ground. "My colleagues even noticed it, babe -- you've gotta get better at hiding your attraction." You say with a chuckle, watching as Jennie's eyes grow wider. Had she really made it so obvious?
"We wouldn't be here right now if I was good at hiding it, so I think you owe me one."
"Touché," you say, quirking an eyebrow in thought. She's right, as usual. "How can I ever make it up to you?" Your voice wiggles dramatically, face contorting in a mock apology.
"I know a way," she says lowly, smiling as your hand finds its way to her knee a moment later. You hook your fingers in the crook of it, drawing a surprised gasp from her as she falls forward and into your arms.
Here goes nothing.
You raise your left hand to her cheek, brushing the back of your fingers against it gently as you build up the nerve to kiss her. Your other arm is wrapped securely around her waist in order to hold her steady above you.
Her palms are pressed to the glass behind you, and her hair falls gracefully around you, creating a little curtain to shield you from the outside world. Finally gaining enough courage, you press your lips to hers in a soft kiss. It's slow and mild as you set a sensual rhythm, growing accustomed to the taste of each other. She sighs into your mouth as you reposition her so that she's straddling your lap.
"Y/N, we're never gonna make it to the park if you keep kissing me like that." She warns, though her words hold no real threat at all. She wants this just as much as you do.
You lay a trail of light kisses up her neck, all of them far too gentle for her liking right now. "Is this better, your highness?" You ask smugly, smiling against her throat as a frustrated sigh leaves her lips.
She places a hand on your chest to push you up against the glass, letting her fingers skim over your collarbone. Just as she's about to pounce, the sound of your phone ringing interrupts the moment. It vibrates in your pocket, right between Jennie's thighs, and you stifle a giggle at the reaction it would've drawn from her had you not quickly retrieved it.
"Hello?" You ask, realizing you hadn't even bothered to check the caller ID. Jennie sits back on your legs, allowing her hands to rest on your hips and draw soothing circles.
"Y/N, I hate to tell you this on such short notice, but you have a new interview scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10AM. I'll send you all the details later."
You sigh at your manager's words, running a hand over your face to relax yourself. The announcement party was supposed to signal the end of your busy week, but of course life just couldn't work in your favor for once. Now you'd be stuck in some random line of questioning, unable to give them any real answers for the sake of keeping spoilers from getting out. You can think of about a million things you'd rather be doing tomorrow morning, and one of them is sitting on your lap right now.
"Yeah, okay. I'll talk to you later." You wait for him to say his goodbye before ending the call and turning back to Jennie with an apologetic look.
"Sorry for ruining the moment."
"You didn't ruin anything. But luckily for you…" she leans forward again, pressing a kiss to your lips that makes your heart stop for a second, "I can be very merciful." You nearly melt at her words, paired with how she whispers them in your ear. Her warm breath fans over your neck, rendering you speechless as you pull her back to your lips.
This kiss is different -- full of passion and desire as you grow more used to each other. She raises up on her knees, towering over you as she stares down at you. You look so beautiful right now, your eyes appearing big as you look up into hers, waiting for her next move. She runs her hands through your hair before settling them on your cheeks, cupping the smooth skin and rubbing the pad of her thumb across it. You drag your nails up and down her exposed thighs, and you pat yourself on the back when you notice the trail of goosebumps they leave behind.
"I actually do wanna go to the park with you, if that's alright. There's something I want to show you. I definitely want to continue this later, though." You say.
She nods at that, a smile making its way to her face that can't possibly be wiped away. As much as she wants to have you writhing underneath her, screaming her name, she can wait. She's content with making as many memories as possible with you tonight, and she's intrigued by the surprise you're hinting at.
A few gentle kisses later, you slide off the hood and help her down before going to open her car door for her.
"Such a gentlewoman," she praises, pursing her lips at you.
"Only for you," you wink, making her giggle.
You quickly make your way to the driver's seat, set on getting to the park ASAP in order to spend as much time as you can with Jennie. After all, you can only stay up so late tonight if you want to be functioning for that interview tomorrow… and let's just say that you plan on being busy later.
---------
"Voila!" You declare, motioning to some playground equipment in the kid's section of the sizable park. Of all the things she was guessing at, Jennie did not see this coming.
"What, you came to show me monkey bars, Y/N? I've seen plenty of them--" She asks incredulously, looking around the area filled with miniature tables and chairs to go along with the equipment.
"What? No, no. I used to play here when I was growing up, and my friend's and I had a secret hiding spot. We always stashed our favorite little knick knacks in it, and we promised we'd only show it to people we deemed worthy."
Jennie watches as your eyes light up at the recounting of such a dear memory, and she grins widely. You truly are a five year old at heart.
"This is the first time I've been back here, since…" you trail off, realizing just how many years it's been. Being at such a different point in your life while standing in a place you frequented as a child is a weird juxtaposition that you weren't prepared for, but you push it from your mind.
"Anyway, I think you're pretty worthy." You joke, sizing her up. She laughs at that, and you revel in the pleasant sound. You know you probably won't see her again after tonight, so you're determined to ingrain the little things -- like her smile, her laugh -- into your brain.
"Now, let's see… where did Ashley put it?" You whisper to yourself, scanning the length of the playground. Your eyes travel across the slides, over the swings, and around the monkey bars before you spot that little dip in the siding that you'd recognize anywhere. Jennie soon finds her hand slipping into yours as you lead her over to it, a childlike sense of giddiness on your face. She likes seeing you like this.
"I hope it's still here," you say to no one, bending down to press your fingers against the old wood. It's far more worn down now, and you're worried that someone has already come by and cleaned out the hiding spot. Putting your doubts aside, you continue.
"Okay, so don't laugh, but there's a special way you have to open it. Ashley showed it to me one day and it's the only way we could get it to budge after that."
She smiles her gummy smile at you, and you can't help but return the gesture and even steal a quick kiss. She's a bit taken aback when you ball your hand up, using the side of it to deliver a couple blows to the wood in two different spots. Next, you stand and line up your foot, remember exactly how your friend taught you, before executing a calculated kick to the other side.
At first, Jennie wants to laugh at you; but upon closer inspection, she sees that in fact, a small opening is visible in the wood now. You smirk cockily, knowing full well that she hadn't expected that to work.
"Told you so," you tease, now bending down again to work the panel free. You wiggle it back and forth repeatedly, being careful not to go too quickly and damage anything else, and eventually it pops out. She watches as you reach in and pull out a mini jewelry box -- the kind that can fit in your hand, mainly meant for rings or other small items.
"We stole the box from our other friend, Janelle. Had to pay her our allowances for 2 months afterward. Can you believe that?" You ask, shaking your head with another smirk on your lips. Jennie laughs at you in full, loving how carefree you are right now. In a way, she's happy that your manager called earlier; otherwise the two of you most surely would be locked away in your bedroom right now. This experience is definitely one she'll cherish.
"Unbelievable," she sighs, shaking her head and going along with it.
You click the latch on the small box, it's material now weathered and rusty as it creaks when you open it. Jennie steps closer to you to examine its contents, and you fight to contain how hard your heart starts beating at the feeling of her hand on your lower back.
"No way…" you utter, voice full of disbelief as your eyes land on one of your most prized possessions from childhood.
"What?" Jennie asks, genuinely on the edge of her metaphorical seat.
"This butterfly hair clip," you inform, slipping the small contraption between your fingers as you hold it up for her to see, "I won it at a fair with my mom and I always wondered where it went…"
"It's beautiful, Y/N," she says, ooh-ing and ahh-ing at the details etched into it. For something so small and seemingly unassuming, it's actually very unique.
"I want you to have it." You say, taking a step away so you can look at her. She instantly goes to refuse, saying, "I can't! You just found it after all this time--"
"And I went all that time without it. If you take it, I'll know it's safe with you. And you can use it to remember me by." You say, your gaze softening as you watch her debate with herself.
"Okay. But if you ever want it back, call me."
"Roger that." You say dorkily, earning yourself a roll of those dark eyes you find yourself getting lost in.
"And for the record, Y/N, I could never forget you. Pretty hair clip or not." Her confession makes you feel happy on a whole new level; knowing that you've left an impact on her is truly a wonderful thing.
"So, what now?" She asks, breaking the happy lull your conversation found itself in.
"We can walk around the park for a little while, or…" you start, waiting for Jennie to prod you further. Both of you know exactly what game you're playing, but it's still fun nonetheless.
"Or?" She inquires, stepping closer as she wraps her arms around your shoulders. She nonchalantly gives you a once over, knowing what power her darkening gaze holds over you.
"We can go back to my place. Maybe play a little footsie, who knows?" You say, shrugging your shoulders with a stupid grin. Even while seducing someone, you can't resist being a geek.
"Footsie?" Jennie gasps, raising her eyebrows, "What kind of girl do you take me for? That only happens after at least 2 dates in."
"Such a prude, Ms. Kim. How can I change your mind?"
She presses a finger to her cheek, pretending to think, before getting an idea. Her lips flirt with the shell of your ear as she whispers obscenities into it, turning you to mush with every new scenario she puts in your head.
You stiffen as she kisses your jaw, the action catching you off guard as you continue reeling from her words.
"I can do that, I think," you cough out, stumbling over the words a little bit. She laughs at the effect she has on you; seeing your confidence waver is a nice role reversal, and it's something she could definitely get used to.
"Let's go." She commands, now taking your hand to pull you after her, just like you had done before.
◇◇◇◇◇
It's painful, how hard Jennie has to restrain herself from touching you as you fumble with your keys. She told herself she'd keep her hands to herself until you got inside, just in case any stray paparazzi managed to catch you two together. The last thing either of you need is some new scandal, especially with your careers in a vulnerable spot as they're really beginning to take off.
"If you don't get that door open within the next 10 seconds, then I'll just take you out here in the hallway."
You audibly gulp at the image she just conjured up in your mind, and you speed up your movements. The prompting worked, evidently, because soon she's practically shoving you through the doorway.
"Finally," she breathes against your lips, pressing you up against the door once you've locked it back.
"I've been waiting to do this since we met earlier." She indulges you in that little secret, smiling at the way you whimper when she pulls your leg up to wrap around her hips.
"I'm all yours," you say, making Jennie's heart flutter at the sentiment. For the night, you're hers and she's yours. "...now kiss me," you command, growing more impatient with each feather-light kiss she presses to your jaw.
"So bossy," she toys, making you roll your eyes.
"You have no idea, babe."
She bites her lip as your husky voice makes its way to her ears, thick with the desire she's been steadily building within you all night. You tug her forward, your fingers bunching up the material of her shirt with little care as her lips meet yours.
Her tongue swipes across your bottom lip, asking for a permission that you granted the second she touched you. You pull her chin down slightly, allowing the kiss to deepen as you tangle your other hand in her hair.
After an especially bruising bite to her lip -- one that thrills her to her core -- she pulls away, breathlessly asking, "How're you so good at this?"
You cackle against her, taken aback by how genuine the question sounded. "Practice for the kdramas, of course."
"I haven't had to do this," you slide a hand between your bodies, smirking at the gasp that sounds off deep in her throat as you make contact with her, "yet though. That might be a little extreme for the screen."
"You think?" She scoffs softly, bringing her hands up to gather your hair to one side. She presses gentle kisses to your neck, prepping the surface for the dark marks she'll most certainly be leaving there later.
"Ready?" You ask, making sure she wants to go through with this.
"You have no idea, babe." She copies your statement from earlier, garnering another smile from you. She swears she can never get enough of that sweet look on your face.
"Follow me," you say, giving her another peck to last until you reach the bedroom.
◇◇◇◇◇  The Morning After ◇◇◇◇◇
Warm, glittering rays of sunlight sneak past the curtains of your apartment window, shining gently through the light material. A dream-like haze befalls the room, serving as a wonderful greeting once you peek your eyes open. The only thing capable of rivaling such a wonderful sight is the woman beside you, her soft breaths keeping your shoulder warm.
As you turn your head to look at her, careful not to wake her, your heart flips. Having her here next to you is the only reason you even believe last night happened; it was magical -- the stuff of fantasy. The two of you did everything: acted on every desire, every impulse -- you truly made the most of the night, determined to make it unforgettable.
A few blissful minutes later, she stirs beside you. "Good morning, Y/N." Her eyes remain closed, still safe from the bright light of the morning as she smirks at the memories replaying in her mind.
You lay a small kiss to her lips, simply missing how they feel against your own. "Morning, beautiful."
A content sigh slips past her lips as she presses them against your neck, cuddling further into you. "Last night was fun."
You decide to tease her. "Eh, I've had better."
If there's one thing that Jennie knows, it's that she's good in bed -- great, even -- and you definitely seemed to be enjoying yourself last night, just as much as she was. Still though, a bit of insecurity runs through her as she raises up on her elbow to look at you through her lashes.
"Really?" She stills her fingers on your arm, stopping them from continuing the trail that they had been blazing just seconds ago. Her eyebrows furrow subtly, the action almost unnoticed by you.
Deciding the joke isn't worth it, you cup her cheek and raise her head so she can meet your eyes.
"No, I'm kidding. Last night was… something else." You chuckle, smiling as your eyes move around the room in an attempt to find the right word for it. When none come to mind -- no words capable of conveying how great it was -- you look back to her.
She has a knowing grin on her face, "I couldn't agree more."
Sneaking a glance at the clock propped up on your bedside table, you get an idea. "You know, Jennie…" you start, purring her name out as you had last night, garnering that achingly familiar groan from her, "...we still have a few hours before either of our schedules start." Your suggestion hangs in the air as you roll her over onto her back, hovering over her and brushing your noses together.
"Hmm, you don't say? Well you're in luck; I still have some things I wanna try out." She plays back, leaning up to press a kiss to the corner of your lips as her hands wander over your body.
Your eyes widen in shock, "What the hell could you POSSIBLY be thinking of?? We tried just about everything." She laughs at your reaction and pulls you down closer to her body to whisper in your ear. Jennie can feel you tremble with every new image she puts in your head, just like she had in the park, her lips dragging you further under as she sneaks little kisses to your skin here and there.
"Let me get this gay straight: you want me to do that on the balcony? What if my neighbors see?"
"They won't, we're on one of the top floors. And even if they do… would that really be so bad?" She lets the question hang in the air; she'd be lying if she said the idea of getting caught doesn't thrill her. Thinking of your lips on her neck as she rocks against you, pinned to the railing while out in the open for the world to see, sends a rush of warmth through her.
"I wish you weren't so good at convincing me to do things. You're dangerous, Jennie Kim." You warn, pointing a disapproving finger at her. Your eyes nearly pop out when she kisses it, taking the digit in between her lips while looking up at you innocently. This woman will be the death of you.
◇◇ Back At The Blackpink Dorm ◇◇
"Yah, I know! The new update looks so weird--"
"There she is," Lisa says, motioning to the doorway, interrupting Jisoo and Rosé’s conversation about whatever new video game the unnie had downloaded.
Jennie leans on the heavy door as she locks it behind her, lazily spinning around on her heel with her lips drawn back in a huge gummy smile.
"Somebody's happy…" Jisoo teases, shooting her a smirk. She's still riding the high you put her on, and it's no wonder her members are noticing. It's not like she's exactly trying to hide it, either.
"How was your night? Have fun with Y/N?" The maknae wiggles her eyebrows while propping herself up on her elbows to see Jennie's reaction.
"LISA! She wasn't supposed to know!" Rosé shouts, letting out a disappointed huff. The younger girl only shrugs, a stupid smirk on her lips. Some people just wanna watch the world burn.
The brunette's daze is momentarily broken at this, and she asks what they're talking about.
Jisoo lets out a hesitant breath before explaining, "We saw you two leave together, but we agreed to not bring it up until you did." She shoots some daggers at Lisa before continuing, "Somebody can't seem to keep her mouth shut, though."
Jennie only chuckles now, not really caring if they knew or not. Her night was too wonderful to keep to herself; she would've ended up telling them anyway.
"Gather round, girls; I'll fill you in."
◇◇◇◇◇ Months Later  ◇◇◇◇◇
"Why exactly do we have to go to this premiere again?" Jennie grumbles, looking out the window of their limousine. She'd much rather be back at the dorm, snuggled into her cozy heap of pillows and blankets with Netflix playing on her tv.
"Some of our colleagues are starring as background characters, so YG wants us to attend and show our support." Jisoo informs, always seeming to have more knowledge than all of the other girls combined. Jennie nods; the reasoning is sound, but she'd still prefer to be home. Mingling with business people for god knows how long doesn't seem all that enticing to her.
"What's the movie?" Lisa asks, throwing the question behind her to the other girls as she searches the cubby for some complimentary snacks.
"Empress of the Heart," Rosé answers, finally knowing something that Jisoo doesn't.
"Let's watch the trailer for it. If we have to sit through it then we might as well see what we're getting ourselves into." Lisa suggests, her fingers busy opening the bag of chips she chose from the assortment.
"Yeah, okay." Jennie says, her statement followed by words of agreement from the other girls. Rosé takes her phone out to search the title, pepping up when she spots it. She whispers something to Jisoo and Lisa, Jennie paying no mind as she watches the buildings pass by. Her favorite thing to fidget with is secure in her grip, occupying her mind. It's familiar design feels good in her hands -- like it's right where it belongs. (Yes, this is what you think it is).
The other girls put their acting skills to use as they hit play, keeping straight faces when your voice comes through the phone speakers. Jennie's head snaps over to them, recognizing the sound in an instant. "Y-Y/N's starring in it?" She asks, voice coming out as a stutter. The thought of seeing you again thrills her, but she doesn't know if she can do that without falling even deeper. Your night together left her with lasting feelings, none of which she was prepared for in the slightest, and she knows they'll be reignited the moment she lays eyes on you.
"Mhm." They nod sympathetically, all knowing how much she's thought about you the last few months.
Their driver knocks on the partition, requesting to open it. They give him the all clear, and soon he's rolling it down to inform them, "We're here, ladies."
"I'll be okay," Jennie tells them, attempting to stop their worries from growing anymore than they already have. She plays the statement back in her head, whispering it to herself as she exits the limo; tonight could only go one of two ways, and it depends entirely on you.

When Kuroko is dared to come up with some dirty talk, no one expects him to be good at it. Certainly not Kise.

Lavender Secrets by SailorHikarinoMu
Kuroko was the one to bring out his true love for basketball, which had been hidden from prying eyes since the beginning. It was one of those things he was unsure whether he should feel grateful for, but all the same, it did mean something. What this 'something' was, exactly? Murasakibara did not know. Not yet.
FLUFF AAA FLUFF
Rainy by overdose
Kuroko listened to the rain pouring, and more importantly, Murasakibara's steady breathing.

Hanamiya Makoto/Kuroko Tetsuya
Scotomas by Darkenedcrystal
After the game against Jabberwock, Kagami goes overseas and Kuroko finds himself without a light. A slightly angsty, rather light-hearted story about what happens to Kuroko after Kagami leaves. Features teens finding their way around life, Seirin without a light, the Generation of Miracles being a family, the teens finding love and appreciating the heartbreaks. Kuroko tries to find his own style without a light, and stumbles into the darkness that is Hanamiya Makoto instead. Extra chapter added!
love this fic so much. downside: akashi is kinda a dick
Of Unlikely Friendships, Sneaky Bets, Shogi and Sake by itsthechocopuff
Imayoshi had introduced his two favourite kouhai to each other as an experiment. He did not predict they'd get along so well, both being shadows, but they did, and they worked, oddly enough. Hanamiya brought out the worst in Kuroko, while Kuroko brought out the the best in the other; and they both caused heartattacks to unsuspecting teammates who could not believe their darling shadow was not as innocent as he seemed.
you wont regret reading this one omg
Haizaki Shougo/Kuroko Tetsuya
A Taste That Lingers by therealmoyashi
