Legacy is anything produced and shared, not just children. People shame others and especially women for not wanting kids and try to scare them with "lack of legacy" when most people's legacies are irrelevant.

Produced a bunch of nobodies, and if that's not the case, they produced the reason for why society is crashing. Legacy can be a company, information shared, inventions, innovations, impactfulness, etc.

People don't think of Einstein's children when they hear "m=mc2", they think of the silly guy with crazy hair.

It was that time again. The time when the most Opinionated Boy in the World had to have a new bed. And it is All My Fault that he is Orphaned and Unloved so he can no longer nap beneath my desk. I maintain that it is NOT my fault that he rejects my choices, and that he refuses all of the choices HE is offered. I do not have this issue with any of the other boiz.

The Imp will reject the proffered bed and go to another, a chair or bed in another room, where he will then proceed to fuss under his breath at me. Unwanted. Unloved. Underappreciated. He chooses a spot where I cannot see him from my desk, so have to get up to see what the issue is. He wants me to know he is inconvenienced. He is not where he belongs. It is my fault. If I do not get up to look he checks to make sure I am still there. Listening to his soliloquy.

This time it took him 2 months to find his new bed. A bed that is comfy and well made. A bed that fits under the desk. A bed he will actually sleep in. Please, please, let it last for years. I do not know how many more of these guilt trips I can stand!

Ahem. I have been informed by His IMPerial Majesty, Ruler of ALL the Things (Including BED choices) and Keeper of the Cookies, that it is his bed, and so he gets to make the Rules. It is part of the Majesty privilege, and if I am not careful I may not get any cookies. So I have been told.

What do you try to avoid when creating an OC? Are these things you dislike in other people's OCs? Or purely your own personal preference?

Back in my GW2 days I wrote a lengthy rant about one of the most common things I saw happening with a rash of newly introduced RP characters. As I'm basically just a viewer of RP tumblrs now and don't really participate with a lot of the community--when you can't reliably RP in the game itself, it's a BIT hard to participate in the community LOL--I don't run into much that exasperates me.

I personally would like to see fewer former prostitute/courtesan-turned-information-broker-and-house-of-assignation-madam characters though. I'd love to see a former courtesan who owns a flower shop or learned leatherworking or who uses their former connections to do something like manipulate market prices so they can reliably get their favorite teas at a very low cost.

I've got lots of random thoughts on things. I'm super opinionated, even though I probably shouldn't be. For example, I have some strong opinions on comics. Even though I've never read most comics, so my opinions stem from reading summaries and other such cursory research (I guess that's what we'd call it). I'd share these opinions, bit I do worry people will be mad at me (because I often don't have extensive knowledge of the things I talk about). Still, I might be persuaded to post some of them if I can get guarantees that at least not everyone will hate me for them. That would just be nice to know.

☆ she's really cool, i love her but I feel like she should've married bowser.

☆ if we look at this politically right? bowser and peach's kingdoms have been at war for a long time now. toads, koopas, shy guys, all have been subject to this.

☆ if peach married bowser then their kingdoms would've been united as one and the war would have ended.

☆ also, if peach had put any effort into having a single conversation with the man she might have seen that there's more than just the villain.

☆ bowser had probably never been really taught about the feelings of others and how actions can affect the way someone feels.

☆ obviously, his subjects are more to serve him than care for him and so he's probably become used to this and assumes that what he want, everyone else wants too.

☆ this would explain why he said, "fine! we're breaking up right now!" since he probably thought peach loved him too.

☆ If peach married bowser she might have seen this and been able to communicate about the way interactions can affect the outcomes of things that happen. That you need to sometimes compromise to get what you want. Sometimes, you simply can't get it at all.

☆ if she made bowser understand this and help him become more controlled, maybe she might actually start to feel something for him and then can coexist at least as friends.

☆ logically, they should've gotten married, and peach should've sucked it up for the good of her people.
