Something I’ve been thinking about: The Placebo Effect is a proven phenomenon of the body. When I was young, I used to think a lot of stuff was “healthy” that I later found out is actually junk. Energy drinks that make health claims because they’re “packed with vitamins” or granola bars that are packed with added sugar, I just didn’t know a lot about nutrition so I thought these foods were good for me. Now, as an adult, I know these things are linked to all sorts of negative health effects, and when I consume them it feels negative on my body. “Bad” foods will sit poorly in my stomach or just make me feel bad overall. As a kid when I thought all these things were “good” they never affected me poorly. What if the reason adults have so many aches and pains and poor health is because… we have all been told how many things are “bad” for us. I mean, all of us have heard since we were young “Enjoy eating freely now because you won’t be able to eat like that forever” or something to that affect. What if children don’t experience as many of the negative outcomes from food because they’re not constantly bombarded with information about the negative impacts of food? I’m not saying we should all be able to eat candy and French fries all day so long as we believe it’s healthy. But I’m just thinking, maybe all this obsession and catastrophizing about food and health could actually be linked to the general decline in health as people age.
This comic is a little different than what I usually do but I worked real hard on it—Maybe I'll make more infographic stuff in the future this ended up being fun. Hope you learned something new :)

megan thee stallion is the perfect example of unbothered energy. nicki has repeatedly vagueposted about her, gone on unhinged rants about her, gone so far as to mention her dead mother (such a classless low blow), threatened her on live, and has now released the tackiest diss track in history. and what has megan done? literally nothing. she straight up ignored her, aside from that one ig story where she posted herself laughing (which was perfect btw). she is the epitome of “i will not dignify that w a response.” i love it.
Despite what people complain and snark about, Bruce does in fact have contingency plans for pretty much everything. And while he doesn’t have an exact contingency for Jason apparently accidentally kidnapping the apparently prince of the Realms- some infinite space where the dead resided according to Zatanna and Constantine, he’ll have an existential crisis about it later thanks- he did have one for his kids accidentally kidnapping someone.
He just doesn’t think that exact plan will work in this case, seeing as that plan had to do with civilians and not very large kings that could obliterate the entire world with a hand wave, nevermind the fact that they have so many armies. Not to mention what is apparently both the king’s second-in-command and brother.
Well, if none of his usual contingencies won’t work and Constantine’s attempts at making a deal isn’t working, nor is the other’s attempts to talk the two down, then it’s plan Z time. Seduction it is.
I’m having a particularly bad episode of OCD today and wanted to remind everyone as well as myself.
Your intrusive thoughts and urges do not reflect who you are as a person.
Your intrusive thoughts and urges do not make you sick or evil.
Your intrusive thoughts and urges do not mean you are a despicable human being.
They do not mean any of the above, or any of the other lies your brain might conjure. (You’re twisted. You’re perverted. You deserve death. You deserve to never be happy. To always be alone. To always feel guilty. And the list goes on).
What your intrusive thoughts and urges do mean is that you’re struggling, and it’s hard, and sometimes you want to give up and disappear forever.
But your intrusive thoughts and urges do not define you. They do not have control over you, they do not have charge of your brain. They are not going to drag you under for the rest of your life, even if it feels like that right now. You will overcome this, and you will pound those stupid thoughts into the earth, no matter how long it takes.

I will never understand the fascination that some adults have with pushing the boundaries of shy children.
When children have social anxiety, trying to force them to talk to you isn't helping. Scaring them won't make them "less shy". Most likely, they just aren't comfortable enough around you to behave any differently- and that's okay.
Those people that push boundaries then wonder why the child is still "shy" around them and fail to consider that maybe it's because they know that every time you see them that you will push their boundaries.
I dealt with this so much as a kid with undiagnosed autism and it's so sickening to see people do the same to other children.
