"I will love you if I never see you again, and I will love you if I see you everyday"
"... I will love you as we find ourselves farther and farther from one another, where once we were so close... I will love you until your face is fogged by distant memory. I will love you no matter where you go and who you see, I will love you if you don't marry me. I will love you if you marry someone else and I will love you if you never marry at all, and spend your years wishing you had married me after all. That is how I will love you even as the world goes on its wicked way."
-Lemony Snicket

Etch
Senseless
Sleeplessness; crooked fingers
Carve at my heart
With obsidian shards,
Etching the labyrinths wherein
I will get lost,
Again,
Trying to spell
Your name.

I've always wondered why I dislike being called "like other girls" when I love dressing up for myself and that feeling of looking pretty. When I love the warm scents of vanilla, coffee and flowers. I love how my hair dances with the winds and how sunlight falls on my cheeks. I love when the golden haze blinds me, when the moonlight settles on my skin and instigates the soul inside. I love when I see people becoming humans again with those tiny, usually unnoticed gestures. I love when I feel love in the air. Maybe I am just like "other girls". Maybe I am one of those "other girls". I've accepted that because womanhood makes me feel alive and this life is worth living.
