⭑ Although she wouldn’t dare admit it, Madame Pomfrey was growing old. 

⭑ Neville and yourself moved into a room that you had never seen before. It was high in a tower, overlooking the grounds. Like some sort of apartment, or mini common room that led to a private chamber. 

⭑ It had enough room for all your plants, herbs, tinctures, and potions. A big four-poster bed sat in the middle of the bedroom, with an ensuite in the left-hand corner. 

⭑ It felt like a true home. Especially since it was at Hogwarts.

⭑ Unfortunately, Trevor died a few years ago. So you scowered shops, markets and pet stores to find a toad. But because of the influx of students, most pets were gone. Except for a three-legged cat, who was missing an eye. No one seemed to want the sweet thing. 

⭑ So you surprised Neville with the old cat and he loved him.

⭑ Neville called him ‘Brixton,’ but the cat mainly goes by ‘Twinkle-toes’, ‘BeeBee’ and any variation of words that you feel at the moment.

Desmond who lives through the solar flare and refuses to fall in line with whatever William has planned but also can’t go back to a civilian life without feeling like he is betraying everything his ancestors built so he gets shipped off to England to chase the other people of their bloodline so they couldn’t be used in more Abstergo nonsense and also to build up the brotherhood after the heavy losses they’ve faced.

The first person on his list to look into? Lily Evan’s who is a distant cousin of some sort that disappeared into the system after an attack on the base she was born at and all but disappeared completely when she turned eleven.

He doesn’t find her, but he does find her child locked in a cupboard while the woman’s adopted sister tries to lie to him about the line having died out.

(The glowing lines of Isu tech now embedded in his arm ache with his rage. He can almost hear Altair’s growling voice in his ear demanding justice. Can almost see Ezio prowling behind the woman and her hateful husband as if he’s going to take them out himself. Can almost feel the lock picking tools in Connor’s hands as he glares at the cupboard with glowing gold eyes. Hell maybe he does see them. Most of the time he can’t tell how much is his fractured mind producing ghosts of the only people he has felt safe with and what is Isu bullshit punching through time itself so they are actually there.)

Which is how Desmond ends up semi kidnapping a child (is it really kidnapping if his guardians shoved Harry in his arms and told him to never come back?) and trying to figure out how much grief he is going to get by bringing the kid home on a motorcycle

The image that really set all of this off is imagining Harry getting inducted into the brotherhood literally in the middle of the battle of Hogwarts a la will and Elizabeth’s wedding in pirates of the Caribbean through both Desmond and the ancestors via the resurrection stone.

Dating Fred Weasley Would Include

You’d be best friends with the twins since day one. 

Wherever they were you were never far behind. 

And you would try and be a good influence but those boys were their own force of nature. 

You both realise that you like each other around Fourth year.

Even though they would drop out of school Fred would insist you stay put. 

If truth be told you’re a little lost without the pair of them around. 

You’d count down the days till any school holiday.

And there’d be letters written from both of you almost daily. 

They’re utterly sappy but neither of you care.

He even promises that when you graduate the pair of you can get married. 

Once you’re out of school he makes good on his promise and buys you a gorgeous ring. 

Your days would be spent helping with the order, running the shop and doing your own job. 

It’s exhausting but you love it. 

Until the night you lose Mad-Eye. 

Seeing George mangled like that was when it gets real for you. 

And you can’t stop seeing Fred’s face in place of his brother’s. 

You’d spend nights up worrying about the war. 

Fred was one to talk you down. To try and calm you.

George would talk it through with you which would help because at least he was feeling what you did.

Then the battle of Hogwarts would come.

You’d feel it mid-fighting. Something wrong. Something bad. 

And you wouldn’t have to see his body to know he was gone. 

You could tell by the crumpled form of Molly Weasley that your love was gone. 

That’s when your world would break apart.

The only reminder of your love is that ring on your left hand.

From full novel-length fics to poetry, from microfics to multi-chaptered works and everything in between, we've been blown away—enchanted, even—by this year's submissions. This fest started as a labor of love for both of us as avid Swifties and HP fic authors and we couldn't have imagined in our wildest dreams the way you've embraced it with open arms.
