Ranking the Miracucast by how good of a Doctor Who Companion they'd be.

Marinette: She'd be great at it, but she would also hate it and just want it to be over. She's tired and has no time for this shenaniganry. Please give her this chance to not be involved. 5/10

Alya: Would have SO MANY QUESTIONS. Could do very well, but I can see her veering dangerously close to Adam Mitchell territory. Careful there, Alya. 7/10

Adrien: Yes. 10/10

Nino: I think he'd be a decent TARDIS passenger, but he's the type that'd be part of an ensemble. Wouldn't work as well as a solo companion. 4/10

Chloe: Sorry Chloe fans, but no. The Doctor can pull a redemption arc out of anyone, but they also have no patience for bullcrap. It's just not happening no matter how much I want it to. 1/10

Sabrina: I think she would be great, but the fandom would not like her as a companion. 6/10

Mylene: Yeah, she would not like it. 0/10

Ivan: If Mylene isn't going, then neither is he. 0/10

Rose: Would be absolutely hilarious due to her name alone. Accompanying a Classic Doctor might be better for her. 7/10

Juleka: I don't care what you say she would be excellent and the fandom would love her. Ironically would probably fit better with a NuWho Doctor. 10/10

Kim: The Doctor does not want Kim in the TARDIS. Kim has been in the TARDIS at least once, and the Doctor has vowed that it will be the last time. They're wrong. 4/10

Max: The Doctor would ADORE Markov. Max would be Markov's plus one. 7/10 by proxy

Alix: Pretty sure she already is a companion. Like. In canon. We haven't seen it but it's definitely happened, fight me. Alix/10

Nathaniel: I want to say he'd be great but in my heart I know he would be Very Stressed. Definitely would not want to travel with the Doctor, but would keep getting dragged along by his friends. The fandom would love him though. 5/10

Lila: As she is now? Absolutely not. The Doctor would despise her. -10/10, BUUUUUUT if she was picked up before Volpina (or pre-Chameleon at the latest) I think she could be redeemed like in the Scarlet Lady AU. She would be hilarious. She gives me Turlough vibes. If the Doctor can deal with Turlough and Missy then he can deal with Lila. She has the potential to be unique and have an interesting character arc compared to other companions, and let's be honest NuWho needs something unique and interesting. 8/10

Luka: Like Nino, he works better as part of ensemble. Would be an excellent supporting character for Marinette or Juleka if they were companions, or maybe be a very cool Oneshot Companion like Wilf. 3/10

Kagami: The Doctor would have their work cut out for them, because Kagami is a "stab first ask questions later" person and the Doctor doesn't vibe with that normally. Neither The Doctor nor Kagami would be happy with this arrangement. So naturally Kagami's sole season would be one of the best in the entire show. 9/10

Marc: He would travel with either the Second or Thirteenth Doctors. He would do wonderfully, but his seasons would definitely be more focused on the Doctor than Marc himself. Sorry Marc. 7/10

Ondine: Is too busy keeping Kim out of trouble. And as stated previously, the Doctor does not want Kim in the TARDIS. 2/10

Felix: I just don't think it would work. Felix could definitely be a major recurring character, but somehow I can't really see him actually being a companion proper. He does get bonus points for being British. Perhaps instead of being a companion he spends his free time annoying Torchwood. 3/10

Zoe: She'd be great. But the universe would be Very Cruel to her. People will die, and she will not be happy about it. 8/10

‘Did the doctor say "triplets"?!’ Rose burst excitedly as Adrien and Marinette walked through the door of Alya and Nino’s home for their monthly Akuma Class (and friends) game day. ‘Oh, please let it be triplets!’

‘Wha-’ Marinette began.

‘No, I’m sure it’s twins,’ Mylène cut in, just as animatedly as Rose was.

‘Guys, it could be a single child,’ said Marc calmly.

‘Or quadruplets,’ Nathaniel suggested teasingly, earning him a playful elbow from Marc and a squeal of delight from the girls.

‘The real question is whether it’s a boy or a girl,’ interjected Kim.

‘And if there’s more than one, how many of which gender!’ added Ivan, looking over his shoulder. ‘Max?’

Max was sitting at the kitchen counter, paper everywhere, pen scribbling, and tapping away at the calculator. ‘Hang on. I’m almost done my calculations - Markov’s just getting me more information on their genetic history.’

‘How-’ Adrien started.

‘What about you, Alix?’ Luka prompted.

‘Hey, don’t look at me,’ Alix replied, holding her hands up by her head. ‘Even if I do know, I can’t tell you.’

Everyone grumbled at that.

‘Guys, what’s going on?’ Adrien asked, finally getting their friends’ attention.

‘We are speculating on the quantity and gender of yours and Marinette’s unborn child/children,’ Kagami informed them.

‘Right… and why now?’ questioned Marinette.

‘Because you two went to the doctors,’ answered Félix, as if that explained everything.

Marinette frowned and folded her arms. ‘And how did you find out we were at the doctors?’

Their friends went silent, but their eyes flickered, glanced, or even outright stared at Nino, who looked everywhere except at his best friends.

‘Seriously, Nino?’

Nino winced at Marinette’s unimpressed tone.

‘All I said was that you guys would be late because you had an appointment before coming over!’ he defended.

Marinette turned her gaze to Alya, who nodded.

‘It’s true,’ Alya confirmed. ‘They just took it and ran with it.’

‘But how could we not?’ piped up Socqueline. ‘We had our catch-up brunch pushed back to a late lunch because you weren’t feeling well, and when we did meet, you hardly touched the cold meats and cheeses like you normally would!’

‘Couldn’t that just be because she still wasn’t feeling well?’ Juleka muttered.

‘And Adrien has been super protective over you for the last few months,’ Zoe stated.

‘But isn’t that because of the threats she was getting from that competing designer from the competition held earlier this week?’ Sabrina asked curiously.

‘Geez, who’s side are you two on?’ Rose huffed petulantly at Juleka and Sabrina; the two merely shrugging in response.

‘Let’s just calm down, okay? We’ll tell you what happened,’ Adrien soothed, sharing a look with Marinette, and everyone settled down - even Max stopped his calculating and Markov stuck his head out of the study to listen in.

‘We went to the optometrist,’ Marinette began, and she could already see interest drop, ‘because Adrien wanted to make sure he wouldn’t need glasses like Gabriel did-‘

‘Booooooo! Gabriellll!’ came the predictable jeers from their friends. Ever since the truth was revealed about Adrien’s father, all their friends rallied around him in support, offering food, shelter and safe spaces for Adrien to find comfort in, which meant a lot to him.

‘-and we found out that Adrien’s vision is perfectly fine!’

Mutterings of how that was good news filled the room, but it was clearly not the content they were hoping for.

‘So that’s where we were this morning,’ Adrien said to their despondent crowd. ‘Oh, and we also visited Maman and Papa at the bakery to pick up the pastries for our meet-up, and to tell them they’ll be grandparents to a little boy in six months time.’

Marinette watched as their friends’ eyes widened when their words sunk in, and covered her ears and laughed at the chaos and screams of joy that exploded from their friends.

My preference headcanons for every MLB character! (🌈 Happy Pride Month 🌈)

Note: These are MY personal preference headcanons for the characters. Take it with a grain of salt. Our opinions are allowed to differ, but please respect mine and I’ll respect yours.

Marinette: Bi, Female Leaning. I see her going both ways, but the reason why I see her female leaning is:

I personally just like that idea! ❤️

It seems that she’s more comfortable with girls than boys (I know that doesn’t necessarily mean that she’s attracted to girls, but eh. Still like the idea).

Her crush on Adrien seems comphet to me (yes, that can happen to Bi people too).

She can be that “preppy queer” archetype.

Adrien: Pan. I was THIS close to making Adrien Bi (female leaning), but I settled with him being Pan. Why? For the sole reason that I see Chat Noir as Pan (and Adrien IS Chat Noir lol). It makes sense 😄 I’m also starting to see him as Gender-fluid.

Alya: Bi, Female Leaning. Listen, I ALWAYS saw Alya into girls, even before her and Nino got together in Animan to be honest with you. But according to canon, it seems like she’s even Straight or Bi, since she’s shown attraction to boys. I mean, she COULD be a comphet Lesbian, but meh. I don’t want to erase the possibility of her being Bi because of her attraction to boys too. We need more Bi rep. 😜 So basically, I now see her as Bi, but female leaning. She prefers girls, but Nino is a sweetie pie 😊

Nino: Bi, female leaning. Nino prefers girls more, but he doesn’t mind dudes either 😉 I actually ship him and Adrien together. If it wasn’t for the love square and DJWifi, I think Nindrien would’ve been more popular.

Chloe: Closest Bi, comphet. Some people might see her as token Straight or a closest Lesbian, but I’ve finally decided that she likes both genders equally. Similar with Marinette, I just see her crush on Adrien as heteronormativity/comphet and also because she’s confusing her plantonic love for him with romantic.

Zoe: Queer. Tbh, I don't know right now. We don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer. She hasn’t shown any interest in boys in canon yet, but I don’t want to throw out the possibility of her being Bi/Pan yet either.

Sabrina: Closest Pan. Sabrina is the type who thought that she was just an Straight Ally who doesn’t care who’s with who when it came to other peoples’s happiness. Love is love after all. Eventually she finds out that SHE HERSELF doesn’t care either when it comes to HER preferences lol 😂

Luka: Bi, simple but obvious 😌

Kagami: Pan & Demi. Use to see her as Bi (female leaning), but she doesn’t care as long as she can have a strong connection with them. I also see her as a Polyamorous Demi. She’s fine with being in a relationship with more than one person, but only if she has a strong connection with them. When you think about it, I guess that kind of makes Mari and Adrien Polyamorous too since Adrigaminette is my OTP3 huh? 😅

Rose: Pan. Rose loves everybody and anybody. She doesn’t care who it is 😊

Jeluka: Lesbian. I don’t really see Jeluka with any males and I don’t think that I ever did. She’s my little goth Lesbean! 😊

Kim: Bi. He’s perfectly fine with both, as long as he’s having fun 😄

Max: Biromantic Ace, Male Leaning, use to see him as Pan, but I see him more as male leaning now. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t mind girls though. Ones who are kind, sweet or/and match his intellect 😊

Ordine: Straight. Meh, I don’t really see her with females 🤷🏾‍♀️ Ordine ships like Kagami, Alix and Aurore etc. don’t interest me. Might change in the future, but I don’t know.

Mylene: Bi & Demi (male leaning). Her and Ivan together are pretty cute, and I don’t put it pass her to be interested in other boys too. But she is queer.

Ivan: Straight. Ivan was the first character in MLB that I saw as Straight lol

Nathaniel: Bi. I don’t ship him with anyone anymore, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a bi-bean to me 😛 I’m pretty sure he’ll find someone one day.

Marc: Gay, Trans, and Gender-fluid. I don’t really see Marc with girls anymore, so he’s gay now 😛 Also, I know he’s already Androgynous, but I also see him as Trans & Gender-fluid.

Alix: Aromatic Lesbian & Bigender. Like with Max (Ace), Alix was confirmed Aromatic, but I still do see her as a Lesbian. I don’t really imagine Alix being in an long term relationship, but she is interested in females. I did headcanon her Bi in the past, but I don’t really see her interested in any boys anymore tbh

Lila: Pan. She doesn’t care who it is, as long as she can manipulate them to her advantage…🤷‍♀️ Don’t get me wrong though, I do imagine Lila being capable of love and falling for someone, but not immediately.

Aurore: Lesbian (Comphet). I don’t ship her with any boys at all, and all my ships with her are with girls.

Mirelle: Bi (Comphet). Similar with Aurore. Also, I also ship them on the same level as Julrose.

Gabriel: Straight, but I don’t like the idea of him being the stereotypical homophobic parent. He’s a shitty person and parent, but it’s not because he’s homophobic. I did see him as bicurious in the past tho lol

Emillie: Bi. Meh, she gives off that kind of energy, even if she’s been in a coma 😜

Natalie: Bi. I like the headcanon that she’s a Bi woman who had feelings for Emillie too, as well as Gabriel (formally). I don’t know how true that is now, but meh. Still my headcanon.

Ms Mendeleiev: Lesbian. I see her being into women solely for the reason that I shipped her with Bustier lol 😅

Miss Bustier: Bi, but now just Queer. Similar with Zoe, we don't know if she's gay, Bi or anything else, but we DO know that she's queer/sapphic.

Socqueline: Queer/Sapphic. We most certainly know she’s into girls, especially cute preppy ones that so happen to attend the same school that she use to attend, sees her as a role model to the point where she adapted her hairstyle, is into fashion, works at her parents bakery and unfortunately tends to have crushes on boys who are dum-dums instead of also acknowledging her obvious attraction to girls! 😤

..Wait wha-?

Fei: Lesbian. Plain and simple. Makes sense.

Felix: Like Zoe, I’m not absolutely sure yet. But I do see him being part of the Ace Spectrum.

The other characters I don’t really care about enough to have preference headcanons for. So if you want to know my preference headcanon about them, ask me.

Do you have a basic storyline in mind or who dies each chapter/who survives the game planned out for your Danganronpa AU, or are you just thinking about the designs for now (which have been super cute and spot on)?

I can pair each character’s potential death with a chapter number based on the DR formula and their vibes lol, and now I’m thinking about who’d survive. For some characters I can see them going both ways.

Sorry this took me so long to get to (i wanted to be sure about my chapter set up before I answered).

So- the victims and the culprits, chapter by chapter:

Ch 1.: culprit: Zoe. Sympathetic angle. Similar to Kaede in D3. Victim: Juleka. (Rose is furious and a massive help in this case- same with Luka.)

Ch. 2.: culprit: Nathaniel. Only goes after Luka once he confronts Nathaniel about having involvement in Juleka’s case. I want this case to be complicated and sad.

Ch. 3.: culprit: Sabrina. First, Chloe and Sabrina go after Marinette, but end up killing Rose instead. Sabrina then kills Chloe. Double murder case.

Ch. 4.: culprit: Kagami. Victim: Kagami. It’s pretty much Sakura’s trial in D1. (Adrien and Marinette are particularly distraught).

Ch. 5: culprit: probably Lila. Victim: Alya. (Marinette is framed- we get a ch 5 Makoto situation here).

Ch 6.: we find out who the ultimate despair is

Survivors: Marinette, Nino, Adrien, Alix, and Mark

So yeah, that’s what I got so far

Heres some character info-sheets for my mlb rewrite. The main five obv, but I'll get to other characters maybe later if and when I feel like it... also this was an excuse to draw them n o t dying or something so uh- yar.

Some additional info about each:

Marinette- Marinette's mom tried to teach Marinette chinese but started out a little too late in Mari's child-language development and never really succeeded. At most, Marinette can introduce herself. She does not yet have any crushes in my fic at the moment, but the first one (sorta already is) will be Luka for a while once he gets more "screen time". She's less "UwU quirky i'm so clumsy" like she is in the show. In fact, she doesn't go and do stupid things without repercussions at all. She is less focused on boys and more on her superhero life, but it starts getting overwhelming. She feels like if she tried to focus on herself for a change, something bad would happen as a result, and it doesn't help that Tikki is so strict on her about it.

Adrien- Adrien is pomosexual which basically means he doesn't know what the heck he is or what to label his feelings with so he went with that. He knows he is attracted to femininity, but is also ok with more masculine or "tom-boyish" attributes in anyone of any gender. This does lead into his crush on Kagami later on since they are nonbinary and not exactly "the most feminine" person you could meet, yet also not entirely masculine in their personality and presentation. Basically, he doesn't know what the heck his sexuality is. He knows chinese and english because of how strict his homeschooling is, and has a natural talent for picking up new languages. He doesn't really understand himself and often feels like he's broken, or a robot. Perhaps some senti-monster behavior...??????!!!!! (I'm deciding on that now shut up)

Nino- Nino is a glorious bilingual child whose parents are unknown. They probably left the face of the planet. No one has ever seen them... at least in the show... so I didn't bother giving him a family. But he's bilingual somehow!! But wait... I did give him parents?! That's right, I invented Mara Lahiffe for no reason, and we're gonna say his dad is no longer in the picture. He's very protective of his friends and would never abandon them, hence why he became so fitting for the turtle miraculous. He has a secret crush on Rena Rouge but sadly, not Alya. He likes his mysterious women I guess.

Alya- Alya is creole which is a race of people from America that spawned from the mixing of native american, Spaniard, black, and europeans. It's a lot... I know... they're best known for existing in Louisiana, and does she have family there? No! She has relatives from Cuba which is why she can speak spanish. Alya has a big family with three other sisters, and she's caught being the middle child. This has given her a lot of insecurities due to her older sister being a literal muscle boxing beast and her two little twin sister getting all the attention from the family.

Chloe- I think it's really funny that I didn't give Marinette, the main character, family trauma, but the other four.... Chloe's parents are divorced and her mother has a very judgmental attitude over Chloe. Chloe wants nothing more than to please and impress her mother who sometimes doesn't even remember her daughters name. Chloe feels like she's battling her half sister, Zoe, for their mothers attention, which is made extra hard for her by the fact that her sister and mother live all the way in New York. Chloe was as straight as a pencil, she swears. but then... she started developing feelings for a girl and everything became a mess. She's kinda in the same boat as Adrien right now, except she's more comfortable calling herself bicurious. She developed anorexia after Gabriel Agreste's company refused to accept her as a model, denying her the chance to work with Adrien and pursue her dream career.

Battle Cry

“Are we seriously having this conversation?” Demanded Alya, glaring at Nino. The rest of the Miraculous team watched the two argue, while Adrien scowled at his arms.

“She failed to stop Monarch, lied to us about his identity and lied to Adrien and told him his dad was a hero!” Snapped Nino, “She’s done nothing but lie, she’s no better than Lila or Monarch!”

“Felix and Kagami knew, are they no better than them or are they exempt from that view?” Retorted Alya, as her miraculous warmed against her skin, “She doesn’t call out for help often, if she’s doing it now, it’s serious!”

“Felix and Kagami didn’t have a choice, she did!” Yelled Nino, getting an eye roll from Alya.

“Fine, whatever,” Huffed Alya, turning away, “I’m going to Ladybug, you can…do whatever.”

Alya stalked away, with Luka and Zoe following her. Three flashes of light told the group that the three had transformed and gone to Ladybug.

Nino huffed through his nose and turned around, looking at Adrien, “Sorry you had to see that, bud.”

Adrien stayed silent, tracing invisible patterns on the table.

“Adrien, are you okay?” Asked Marc, getting a shrug from Adrien.

“Do you think I over-reacted?” Adrien’s voice was quiet, but everyone heard him.

“No-” Nino was interrupted by Kagami, “Yes.”

Everyone looked at Kagami, “Marinette only found out about Monarch’s identity an hour or two before we left, but she acted alone while everyone else was affected by the Akuma. I’d known for a couple of months before telling Marinette.”

Everyone’s Miraculous suddenly became hot, before rapidly cooling.

“W-what was that?” Asked Adrien, as Plagg appeared in front of him.

“Something’s happened.”

Rena, Viperion and Vesperia leaped and bounded over the rooftops of Paris, all racing towards the Louvre, they could see Ladybug fighting with someone with what looked like to be a dog’s head. It looked like the dog-headed person was winning.

Rena leapt into the air, launching herself feet first into the person’s head. It looked like a man. He grunted, as Rena kicked him into Viperion’s fist and Vesperia’s foot. Ladybug was breathing heavily, as Rena turned to her.

“Are you alright?” Asked Rena, frantically checking Ladybug over.

Ladybug looked down and Rena almost screamed at the sight of the knife in her side.

“We need to get you to a hospital.” Said Rena, trying to pull Ladybug to her feet.

“We need to help the Akuma victim.” Wheezed Ladybug, letting out a cough.

“Mari, if we don’t get you to a hospital, you could die.” Begged Rena, her throat getting tight.

“It won’t be a big loss,” Shrugged Ladybug, “the team wouldn’t care.”

“I would.” Rena’s voice broke, making Ladybug look up.

Ladybug’s eyes widened, before she shoved Rena out of the way, half-a-second later, a khopesh was embedded in her chest. Ladybug looked down, as Rena looked up at her and screamed, before Ladybug let out a final breath, closed her eyes and fell forwards.

Rena stared, horrified, at the blade of the khopesh sticking out of Ladybug’s back. The blade dissolved into dust, reforming in the person’s hand. With a swing of his arm, Viperion and Vesperia were knocked down, and the person rushed to Ladybug’s body and picked it up.

“Ffffindersss keeepeerss.” Wheezed the person, before vanishing in a plume of smoke, taking Ladybug’s body with him.

Rena stared at the spot where the man had vanished, oblivious to Chat Noir and the rest of the Miraculous Team arriving on the roof top.

Ladybug’s body hit the floor of Hawkmoth’s lair in the Parisian Catacombs, making Hawkmoth look at the man.

“I thought you said you needed her alive.” Said Hawkmoth, as the man stared at the corpse.

When she didn’t receive a response, Hawkmoth sauntered over to Ladybug’s body and delivered a kick to its side. Within a moment, the man had grabbed Hawkmoth by the throat, and slammed her into the wall.

“That…was unwise.” Growled the man, glaring at Hawkmoth, “I’d hate to have to find a new use for you.”

Hawkmoth sneered, “Let me down, Anubis.”

Anubis sneered back, before dropping Hawkmoth, he didn’t care for her name and he didn’t care for her motives.

“I never said I needed her alive, I just need her Miraculous, having her bones is a bonus.” Said Anubis, drawing an Ankh on Ladybug’s forehead with her own blood, “It means I won’t have to wait to acclimatise to it.”

The Ankh faded, as Ladybug’s suit became dark red with blood red spots. The body convulsed, before Ladybug’s body jumped to its feet, glassy eyes were narrowed into a glare as the body snarled and tried to launch itself at Anubis.

“Hmm, it’s not strong enough to fight its former comrades.” Mused Anubis, before looking at Hawkmoth, “I guess you’ll have to do.”

Deadbug’s head snapped to Hawkmoth, before releasing a horrifying scream and charging at Hawkmoth. Within moments, the zombified heroine had launched itself across the room, before tearing in Hawkmoth as it devoured her.

Anubis laughed as Hawkmoth screamed.

Deadbug clambered around the sewers, growling and groaning as it moved, grabbing rats and tearing into them. Anubis stood over a whimpering Hawkmoth, smirking as she tried to clean up the bite marks.

“Contrary too popular belief,” Said Anubis, “my dead don’t turn people by biting them, mine just eat what they need and leave, like leeches.”

Anubis crouched down and whispered, “Don’t go anywhere.”

“Bug!” Called Anubis, making Deadbug to stop, “Come!”

The monster growled, before prowling towards him, leaving Hawkmoth in a pool of her own blood.

“You can make yourself useful by sending out an Akuma to lure the others out.” Dismissed Anubis, before leaving with the monster.

“What do you mean you can’t?!” Demanded Alya, glaring at Alix, “You said Marinette wasn’t supposed to die, so why can’t you prevent this?!”

“Als,” Said Nino, gently touching Alya’s arm, “it’s okay.”

Alya gave Nino a withering look, he saw anger in her eyes, coupled with grief, but if Alya was going to say anything she decided not to, as she huffed through her nose and stalked away.

Nino went to say something, when everyone’s phones went off with an Akuma Alert. Quickly glancing at it, Nino quietly groaned, someone had been Akumatized over Marinette’s, Ladybug’s, death. Luka had told them what Marinette’s last words were and, while there was still the slight division over Monarch, everyone was shocked at what Marinette had thought.

Nino glanced over at Adrien, who hadn’t said anything since they saw Marinette dissolve into dust, before deciding to get anyone other than Adrien, and the three that had been with Marinette, to deal with it.

“There’s an Akuma.” Said Nino, getting anyone’s attention, “Who wants to deal with it?”

“How?” Asked Nathaniel, “Only Marinette could fix things and she’s dead.”

Nino winced, before Kagami got up, “I’ll take some people.”

Nino smiled, before Kagami, Félix, Sabrina and Ivan left to deal with the Akuma.

Fifteen minutes later, Nino found himself with the rest of the team as they fought off the Akuma, which turned out to be Marinette’s reanimated remains. The Dog-headed person from before was at a distance, commanding Marinette’s body. They’d started referring to it as Deadbug, as if to rub in the fact Marinette was dead.

With an inhuman scream, Deadbug would launch herself at various members of the team, while it may be Marinette’s body, it didn’t have her skills or intelligence. Pegasus had mentioned that it was a good thing, citing the number of times Marinette had beaten him at chess.

‘Dog-head’ obviously didn’t like how poorly Deadbug was doing, decided to change tactics. A moment later, an Akuma flew into the gaping chest wound on Deadbug’s body. The wound sealed up and Deadbug started hacking up strange, fleshy-looking clumps. Deadbug stopped hacking and breathed in, raising her head, her eyes, which had been a reddish black, were now purple. A sneer appeared on her face. With a scream, she detached the yoyo on her hip and turned it into a staff.

The staff connected with Carapace’s shield and Viperion’s lute, cracking the former and shattering the latter.

“Pathetic.” Snarled Darkbug, as she grabbed Viperion’s throat.

A Black blur zoomed past Carapace and tackled Darkbug. Viperion gasped as Chat Noir and Darkbug vanished down into a sewer.

Chat desperately tried to get Ladybug to snap out of whatever Hawkmoth had done to her. The usual bright red suit was dark and the spots blurring into the red, her eyes were purple, and her face was curled into a snarl.

“M’Lady, please, it’s me.” Pleaded Chat, as Darkbug stalked towards him.

“Stop calling me that!” Snarled Darkbug, conjuring a sword out of thin air and swinging it at Chat, “She’s gone, pest!”

Chat managed to knock the sword away, before she punched him with enough force to send him through the ceiling, the road on top of it and into the roof of a building. Chat groaned as he rolled onto his side.

“Dude!” Yelled Carapace, rushing towards him, “Are you alright?”

Darkbug landed on the rooftop, Chat scrambled away from her, with Darkbug striking the roof where he’d been moments before. Darkbug screamed and continued to strike at him. Each blow missing by a hair. Darkbug threw her sword, embedding into the roof a short way away from Chat. Darkbug went to punch Chat, only for Chat to grab her fist.

“Marinette, please,” Begged Chat, “it’s me, it’s Adrien.”

Darkbug looked confused, before standing up, her eyes flickering between purple and blue, before finally settling on blue. Her suit brightened and her spots became black.

“Adrien?” Murmured Ladybug, before swaying slightly.

Chat grinned, before Ladybug froze. The Khopesh that would’ve embedded itself into Ladybug’s back was blocked by a green shield.

“Where’s the Akuma?” Asked Carapace, as Ladybug shook her head.

“There,” Ladybug coughed, “There isn’t one. He’s using a miraculous.”

“Okay.” Nodded Ryuko, landing next to Ladybug, “Where is it?”

“The choker, it kind of looks like a dog collar.” Groaned Ladybug, “Oh, I’m gonna throw up.”

Ryuko blinked, before she looked at Rena, “get her out of here.”

Rena nodded, before vaulting off with Ladybug. Ryuko turned and looked at the Miraculous user, “Anyone have an idea how we’re supposed to beat this guy?”

Marinette threw up as soon as she dropped her transformation. Alya dropped hers and looked at Marinette.

“You okay, girl?” Asked Alya, as Marinette continued to throw up.

“Gimmie a minute.” Heaved Marinette, as she spat out some bile, “Okay, let’s get back there.”

“What?” Asked Alya, “No, you’ve got a chest wound and we don’t know how things are going to go if you go back there.”

“I have a plan.” Protested Marinette, before resting against the wall, “give me a minute.”

A soft thud had Alya recalling her transformation and swinging her flute at the source of the noise. Su Han stared at her, before looking at Marinette, “How did Anubis escape?”

Marinette shrugged, before trying to straighten up, only to collapse back against the wall, “This is starting to become a problem.”

Su Han frowned, before looking at Alya, “Where’s the Akuma?”

“In her chest, it’s the only thing keeping her sane.”

“Has she tried healing?”

“No, it’s still in her chest.”

“The Akuma’s already been purified, as soon as she casts the cure it’ll no longer need to keep her alive.” Said Su Han, as Marinette winced.

“Tikki,” Rasped Marinette, making the weaken Kwami look up, “Spots On.”

Ladybug slowly got to her feet, she coughed out, “L-lucky c-ch-charm.”

A red and black spotted first aid kit hit the floor. Rena quickly grabbed it and passed it to Ladybug.

“Mmmm, miiiraaculoouss,” Wheezed Ladybug, “L-laadeeeeeebuugg.”

A swarm of ladybugs swarmed over the city, repairing the damage done by Ladybug and Anubis’ initial battle and the fight between Chat Noir and Darkbug. The swarm suddenly slammed into Ladybug’s chest. Coughing up some blood, Ladybug fell down onto one knee.

The swarm vanished, leaving a heaving Ladybug covering her mouth with her hand. After one forceful cough, a single white butterfly fell onto her hand. The Butterfly shook off the bile covering it and flew off.

“Bye-bye, little butterfly.” Murmured Ladybug, before getting up, “I conjured a sword, where is it?”

“It should still be on the roof.” Answered Rena, looking at Ladybug, “girl, no offense, but your last fight with that guy left you covered in cuts.”

“Have you used the shielding feature?” Asked Su Han, getting Ladybug and Rena’s attention, “You just need to say the Kwami’s name and guard up.”

Ladybug and Rena looked at each other.

“Okay.” Sighed Ladybug, “Tikki, Guard Up!”

Red and black spotted plate armour formed on her feet, legs, hands and forearms, while similarly coloured padded chain mail formed on her chest and abdomen. Ladybug looked down at herself, “Wow.”

The team kept moving around Anubis, they didn’t stay in one place for two long, so the dark miraculous user couldn’t land any serious hits on them. Pigella suddenly tripped and fell to the ground.

Anubis gave a sneering grin and licked his lips, “Finally.”

He threw a khopesh towards her, Pigella closed her eyes and waited for the blade to hit her. The sound of metal hitting metal made her look up. A broadsword had batted the khopesh toward the ground. An armoured Ladybug and Rena Rouge stood in front of her.

Ladybug spun the sword in her hand, before she leapt towards Anubis. Rena drew two daggers and followed Ladybug’s lead. With Anubis suddenly on the backfoot, the team converged on him, with Purple Tigress grabbing the Jackal choker and yanked it off Anubis.

The man screamed as she dissolved into a pile of bones. Ladybug prodded his remains with the tip of her sword.

“Tikki, Guard Down.” Said Ladybug, after a moment.

Ladybug sighed and looked around, “Is anyone else hungry?”

Nino absently nodded, “Yeah. I think I saw Andre while we were fighting.”

“Good. Cool.” Muttered Ladybug, relaxing, “Let’s…let’s get some ice cream.”

The team started leaving, as King Monkey asked, “So, what’s it like being dead?”

“Surprisingly quiet.”

Can you tell me what’s been happening in ML since Miracle Queen?

I jumped ship back then because of Fandom Drama and Toxicity, and I can’t get ahold of the show itself because my internet is shit right now. I want to rejoin the fandom and catch up, but it isn’t easy to figure out what’s going on. Especially since my only available avenue for Fandom News is the… Uh… (be nice be nice be nice) Mess that is Tumblr.

Can you help me out?

Well we are well into Season 5 now. But I will try and summarize everything that happened that was important.

TIME FOR A GALE RECAP!

Season 4

-Luka and Marinette broke up in the first episode, Kagami and Adrien in the second.

-Jagged stone is Juleka and Luka's dad.

-Alya finds out that Marinette is ladybug because Marinette tells her

-Hawkmoth calls himself shadow moth

-The Peacock miraculous is fixed

-Ladybug gets a new form when she uses lucky charm.

-Ladybug can create akuma repealing charms

-Gabriel bottomed for a clown

-Turns out Fu wasnt the worst guardian because Su Han exists

-Chloe has a half-sister named Zoe who is basically her but not evil.

-Zoe becomes the new bee

-Chloé is back to season 1 self but now even more cartoonishly evil

-Felix returns and figures out Gabriel is shadowmoth immediately.

-All of the class gets their miraculous hero time at one point. (Four of them get it in one episode near the end of the season.)

-Alya gets the fox permanently, then has to pretend she isnt rena rouge anymore because plot.

-Alya gets to use the ladybug miraculous for a day

-Ladybug and chat noir are said to be couple of the year but ladybug hated the idea so much she yeets chat noir into a garbage can

-Kagami reads manga and is best girl this season

-Nino reveals to Adrien he is carapace and Alya is Rena Rouge because he thought Chat noir was a slut

-Sabine got akumatized due to racism

-Tikki is actually a hunger gremlin but gets over it

-Luka finds out Marinette is ladybug and Adrien is Chat noir but lies about knowing

-The 100th episode was a what if episode where Gabriel wins but not really. It was terrible and not worth viewing

-Adrien quits being chat noir due to all of the crap and feeling not valued only to come back as Chat Walker and Ladybug falls for him. He ends up returning as chat noir even though nothing really changed.

-Then there is an episode where Gabriel makes all of Paris act risky thanks to an akuma.

-Adrien tells Marinette he doesnt want to be a model

-Marinette trying to confess to him but plot interferes

-Felix appears and swaps places with Adrien and finds emilie in the basement

-Felix gets the dog miraculous and manages to snatch all of the miraculous except Ladybug and Chat noir's

-He trades them for the peacock which Gabriel agrees too

-Ladybug breaks down and almost gives up but chat noir is there to bring her back up

-Bunnyx returns and they help her stop Monarch (cause thats his new name) from time travel.

-Nathalie realizes she has terrible taste in men and yells at Gabriel for his obsession with teenagers

-Adrien gets to stop being a model, but gets turned into a Siri

-Ladynoir had a family in a dream

-Gabriel pretends to be a parent

-Nino makes a secret group to fight Monarch... ends up recruiting Lila and Gabriel

-Kagami and Luka are sick of bulls*** and try and pair up Marinette and Adrien

-Adrien realizes he's been in love with Marinette since the statue scene

-Marinette realizes she is in love with Chat noir

-There is a kwami swap episode that was ACTUALLY good

-Nathalie was actually Lara Craft in a past life

-The Kwamitoga is actually useful

-Joan of arc had an enemies to lovers slow burn with her Chat noir

-Marinette and Chat noir end up going on a date and Andre is NOT having it

-Marichat Kiss TWICE

-And the next episodes in order is a two parter where Zoe apparently gets the cat miraculous and Alya gets the ladybug miraculous again

ML Fanfiction: A Modest Proposal

Author's Note: MCD, Fluff and *ANGST*, Post-Canon, Post S5, Adrienette, engagement, ficlet.

Summary: things are great for Marinette. She's sucessful, Paris is safe, and she has the best boyfriend in the world. If only she could get him to take the hint she would like the best *Husband* in the world.

Returning from a business trip to Munich, Marinette loses touch with Adrien. Having never been out of touch for more than an hour in years, she instantly panics. However her panic seems to be founded as Adrien is not the only one who has disappeared...

Marinette shuffled the papers in her lap, Even traveling first class could feel cramped with too much work to do. Amid ideas for the summer lines, wrap up work for the show she was returning from in Munich, and some wedding ideas she planned to leave in a conspicuous place for Adrien, she nearly missed her phone lighting up. She’d half buried it on purpose to keep from picking it up every five seconds, and sent work scattering as she snatched and thumbed the pick up.

“Alya?”

“I haven’t heard from him today, Marinette. When was the last time you did?”

Fear gripped Marinette’s chest. She had really been really hoping this was just a ‘Marinette thing.’ “I talked with him last night after the show. He sent a good morning text when he woke u, but I never got anything after that.”

Aya sounded slightly exasperated, “Marinette that’s… four hours?”

“Alya… we haven’t been radio silent that long in forever. He would have mentioned it if he had something going on. I sent texts and called when my train left.”

Resigned, “Alright Marinette, but you owe me. I’ll grille Nino and Luka first. You get to talk to his cousin.”

“Alya, I still have to-”

“Marinette, if I’m chasing this goose, so are you. Spread that net, buggababe.”

Alya hung up and Marinette admitted she was right. The work before her was important, but this feeling in her stomach wouldn’t go away. Marinette stuffed it all in her briefcase, feeling a twinge as she handled the wedding ideas. This is what I get for being selfish and dropping hints.

Felix: Nothing. Kagami: Nothing. Nino: Nothing. Luka: Nothing. Zoe: Nothing. Nathalie: Nothing. Emilie: Nothing. Amilie: Nothing. All their friends: Nothing. Marinette got desperate and called Chloé Bourgeois of all people.

“You stole him years ago. Now you’ve lost him?”

Marinette hung up.

She jammed her phone into her bag and fumbled with her luggage and keys all at once. Even before she got her key in the lock a black ball shot through the door and latched onto her face.

“Where have you been? I can’t find him anywhere! You need to find him! You’re the guardian! That’s your job! My kitten is missing!”

Marinette reeled and snatched Plagg from the air. Instincts had her looking up and down the hall -no witnesses- “Hold on!” She pushed open the door, throwing, rolling, and kicking her luggage through haphazardly before slamming the door shut. She let Plagg go, and Tikki spiraled up out of her coat.

“Cat Noir is missing? Marinette felt that pit in her stomach getting worse. “What happened Plagg?”

The black cat Kwami flitted back and forth. “I don’t know! I was napping in the ring, then *bop* I get jostled out. I’m on the ground! No -bubbles rippled from Plagg’s mouth- anywhere!”

Tikki flitted forward and began a whisper-argument with Plagg as Marinette leaned on the kitchen counter. The room felt like it was spinning. She’d barely eaten anything this morning and was glad for it right now. Her stomach lurched. Both of them? Her thoughts went instantly to the missing butterfly. Marinette’s mouth went dry, but her hero-self took over. “Plagg. You know who the other holders are. Give me your ring, but go find them. Tell them who Cat Noir is, you have my permission as Guardian. Just tell them not to tell me. Tell them to look everywhere.”

Marinette turned, shedding her long coat,”Tikki, you and I are going to find Felix. He’s got the best means of tracking Adrien down. I have a hunch if we find one, we might find the other. This doesn’t feel like an accident. Tikki, Spots on!”

Nothing, nothing on both fronts. Three days had passed. The police were notified for Adrien, who could she tell about Cat Noir? Felix hadn’t changed back from Argos once, and was only sleeping right now because Kagami was sitting in the room, keeping him in bed.

Marinette sat in the dining room of their flat, puffy eyed, with Nino and Zoe. They’d taken shifts with her since the double disappearance. She resented and loved them for it. She was all but useless at the moment. She’d slept even less than Felix, no one had dared try to hold her down. In an effort to help give her pain meaning, and to grasp for a positive outcome, she was going through wedding ideas again.

Agreste manor was the obvious choice, but also Cliché. Someplace out in the country would give them more room for the scale their wedding would probably take on. Marinette had a brief moment of happiness envisioning a giant wedding with a thousand guests… all waiting while she and Adrien eloped to be married in private.

Adrien was allergic to feathers, so no doves. She wondered if it would be viable to release hamsters. She wanted to take him back to Shanghai for their honeymoon. She wanted him to be a part of her diving into the part of her family she hadn’t had the time to really explore how she wanted; past and future in a perfect balance.

All she had to do was get him to actually propose. Them getting married was a forgone conclusion at this point. Everyone was simply waiting. Marinette had even used her friends to feel him out. The answer was always ‘I just want to make sure it’s perfect.’

How did she communicate that he could throw her over his shoulder, plop her in front of a judge, and make her the happiest woman in the world?

A phone lit up in the middle of the table, and all three present dove for it. Marinette got to it first. She hit pick up, “Hello?”

A strange voice questioned, “May I speak to Adrien Agreste?”

“Who’s calling?”

“Umm… Mr. Agreste left instructions to only speak to him.”

Marinette moved the phone from one ear to the other, trembling with fear, rage, anxiety, and she didn’t know what else. This replacement phone might be their only lifeline. She couldn’t be coy. “Mr. Agreste is missing. If you’re someone who’s seen him in the last few days then tell me who you are.”

“Oh! I’m so sorry. I- this is Alois Riché, from Louis Cartier. I wasn’t the one who dealt with Mr. Agreste directly. I was just calling to tell him his order has been completed.”

Marinette knew the name of the boutique, but her brain was too swamped in emotion-chemicals to make the connections. “Order?”

“The engagement ring, Madam.”

From the corner of her eye she saw Nino wave to her, then give her the thumbs up. The device Max had given them had traced the call. Not that Marinette needed to be told the address. The phone fell from her nerveless fingers and Marinette told the air, “I’ll be right there.”

It was something. It was pointless. It was everything. Marinette threw the doors to the boutique wide even before they could be opened for her. She stormed the counter and threw down her ID. Nino and Zoe followed slowly after her, both keeping close and trying to counterbalance her anxiety with outward calm.

The jeweler, Alois, brought out the engagement ring quickly. Mixing excitement with an awkwardness as his clear artisan’s pride mingled with the occasion. He opened the box and turned it for her inspection, “Here it is Madam.”

It was perfect. A silver band cradled a full moon cut diamond. Adrien was always saying how he wanted to give her the moon. He finally did it.

The ring blurred as Marinette took it from the box. By the time she put it on her finger she could barely see. It felt warm. It felt Adrien. She couldn’t stop crying, but inside a core of resolve bloomed at the connection. They would find him. He would be okay. Then they would find Cat Noir. Then they would make whoever dared hurt her loved ones pay.

Marinette flexed her fingers, proposal or no, the ring was a touchstone. Tears were still flowing but Marinette managed a smile through them. She nodded her head to the jeweler, “Thank you.”

He was clearly caught out by the scene and retreated into professionalism. “It was an honor madam. It was an elegant design in its simplicity. I loved the idea the moment he told me of it. Two become one; such a romantic notion. It was the only reason I could bear to melt down the original rings to make it.”

Marinette collapsed.

Random things for the ML Stardew au

Zoe gives all of her animals cute names like "Princess" the cat. Chloe has her own nicknames for them all, like "Bastard"

Marinette pays more for wool and cloth because animals hate her. She's tried to help Alya with the ranch before but kept getting smacked by the animals

Adrien brings farmer Zoé a loaf of bread on her first day in town. He can also be seen visiting Chloe's place with a tart after he closes up each day. They had tea parties when they were kids and continue them with actual tea and town gossip

Chloe learns how to make custom jewelry, taking gemstones from the mines brought by either Zoe or Alix and making rings and bracelets

Sabrina is living in the spare room at the Liberty bar, and she's been learning how to operate the train to take over from Max's mom

Alya and her sisters own the ranch, and she's the one to go to if you want to know what's up in the town. She has a YouTube channel where she posts videos of random things she records around town, but most end up being videos of Nora wrestling with their pigs

Nino asks Zoé to turn the little cave on her farm into a night rave, so now the town has a dance club on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Rose wins the haunted maze every year. She barely has to try she just waltzes in and bam, she's handing a golden pumpkin to Juleka

Speaking of Juleka, she mixes increasingly cursed drinks for Kim and Alix to dare each other to drink. She's had them both drinking clam juice and scotch

Luka likes to sit at the beach, he'll one day double as the ferryman, cause he does enjoy being out on the water. He accepts fish as a lobed gift

Kagami rarely goes into town, she goes through to get to the mines to take out the monsters, but she will stay over at the little combat guild if she's out too late. She's kinda like the town cryptid at first, but Zoe might be able to get her to find reasons to get out more

Mylene works pretty much alone in her little office, which is covered in cute images of animals around town and everyone as kids. She special orders different coloured prescription bottles for her different patients, for example Rose gets pink, Alix gets blue, etc

Ivan is learning to blow glass after hours, he wants to make a bunch of little glass animals to gift to Mylene to decorate her office

Kim is a lumberjack, he collects all the wood Lila needs to do the carpentry around town, and he'll do any jobs that require a little extra muscle. He also teaches cooking classes at the Liberty on Fridays, after he learned half the town can't cook

Max has a little lab under his house that not many know about, but he rarely gets time to work on his projects until Zoe arrives cause he's constantly being dragged out to help repair lights and TVs

Alix offers to buy fossils from Zoe, while offering gifts from Jalil too. She's acting as a middle man between him and her so she can trade those extra fossils to him in exchange for favors. She rarely has to do her own chores as a result

Lila convinced everyone the old bath house was run down and uses it as her personal spa. She offers Zoe a slight discount on house upgrades if she agrees to keep it a secret

Nathaniel does a comic strip for the town newspaper. He's hoping to collect all the strips and try to get it published

Marc is afraid of chickens. He sends Zoe letters asking her to keep them fenced in or in the coop because one got out and chased him

Maybe I should yell in a comment on the fic itself but I’m yelling here instead: this entire chapter was sooooo GOOD. Nino being hurt about Alya keeping Senti!Adrien a secret? Zoé not trusting her sister to take the snake despite how Chloé is the one who took it from Monarch and gave it to Luka in the first place (which btw does Zoé know/guess this since she’s blaming Chloé for getting Luka wrapped up)?? Poor Luka just bleeding out on the carpet???

Interesting as well to learn that Marinette didn’t fill Alya in on Adrien being Chat Noir, but she’s clearly started pulling away since around that time. Was it that specifically that sent her into lockdown mode or something else? Will it be Vesperia from now on or Queen B? Who will be the one to decide, Ladybug? Also wth is going on with Félix and Kagami, are they on their way too or are they currently duking it out with Lila as well?

Ahhhhhh I’ve got so many questions and I know they’ll be answered but I’m so invested! This chapter really was a great downbeat while still keeping the tension/stakes high. Also a bit nervous to see how Mari reacts to Alya having revealed her identity to Nino but in Alya’s defense she needs a support system too. Heavy secrets are hard to bear on *all* parties who know, and it is extremely beneficial to have someone to confide in. Especially when your BFF is totally stonewalling you while trying to enact her one-woman-rampage lmao.

Anyways fantastic chapter fr and also kudos to LB’s clever idea in the one before to try and cast her charm on Chatdrien to keep his amok from controlling him. Also very clever to have it fail do to his loss on control of his own powers. Nice job outdoing what could’ve been seen as a Deus Ex Machina. 👏🏾

it's not exactly that marinette went into lockdown mode; she's not intentionally keeping it a secret that adrien was cn/is cw. rather, she's got tunnel vision on him and hasn't thought about anything else besides getting him back. but yeah, it was the reveal that sent her spiraling lol. he's literally the only thing she's thinking about rn!

ANOTHER crazy Miraculous storyline I came up with this morning: Adrien dates Chloe

I don't mean in a 'what if' scenario.

I'm thinking like this is at least an episode or the status quo of the show for awhile.

See, whilst I want Adrien and Marinette to wind up together and be together, if this show is going to last 12-55 seasons, lets at least explore different angles. Lets at least see the characters in different relationships, including bad ones.

Sure, you could argue Marinette and Luka or Kagami and Adrien were bad relationships, but that's not quite what I am talking about. I'm not talking about people who could make Mari and Adrien happy (at least in the short term) but between emotional baggage and extenuating circumstances it doesn't work out. I'm talking about relationships where it is plain and obvious it is never going to work out and in fact be a train wreck. But, like many people (too many people, lets be honest), Adrien and Marinette make a bad, naive choice led by their hearts not their heads.

Of course, this scenario is so wacky you'd need to write it carefully to sell it. This is, off the top of my head, how you could maybe make it work.

On a weekend and there is some kind of social event that the school is participating in, Miss Bustier and Principle Damocles are attending too but it is optional.

Adrien is in two minds about going as it would have been his mother's birthday today. Obviously, Adrien is very low, but things go extra bad today. His father outright rejects him when he tries to do something with him to commemorate the day (it being just too painful for Gabriel). Nathalie is also busy, but, in one of her more selfish moments, side steps Adrien's attempts to talk about his mother because she is of course in love with Gabriel so it makes her feel uncomfortable/she has the opportunity right now to comfort Gabriel. Deciding that he is not in the party mood he opts for fencing practice instead and calls up Kagami for a sparring session.

Adrien loses at fencing bad due to being distracted. This has been happening a lot recently and Kagami has outright given up on him at this point. He tries to seek comfort from her, to open up but she also rejects him, throwing in his face how he's frankly not been all that nice to her (from her POV anyway, she doesn't know his secret) and now has the audacity to seek her out to make himself feel better, which was the real reason he called up Kagami today in the first place. She admits she wanted to instead go to the social gathering with Marinette and the others but chose him instead.*

Adrien next tries to seek out comfort in Nino, but he's too busy loved up with Alya to spend time with him, perhaps he is also at the gathering. Marinette is also seemingly unavailable, not returning his texts or calls, but this is because she is dealing with a villain, something Adrien is too down in the dumps to realise for awhile, forcing LB to fight alone.

When Cat Noir finally goes into action, they stop the villain but Ladybug rejects him for the umpteenth time, or maybe does it a lot more harshly than usual (if you wanna set this pre-season 5, he could also be redundant to the victory as LB has called in the other heroes, perhaps including Ryuko to rub salt in the wound).

Basically, Adrien is in an uber low and vulnerable place.

As for Chloe there are a few ways you can play this. But, what if her father is running for re-election and isn't around as much right now. Simultaneously her mother leaves for New York without telling Chloe, even taking Zoe with her. This pisses Chloe off big time obviously and when she and Sabrina gatecrash some kind of weekened social event involving her class, or the school, she sees everyone is displeased to see her there and is lavishing praise and affection on Marinette.

So, like in Penal Team, she actively invites Hawk Moth to akumatise her to ruin the day for everyone. In the course of the battle she very nearly kills everyone, including endangering Miss Bustier (who is still pregnant). The battle doesn't go well for her and Hawk Moth can tell she is going to lose. He actively withdraws the Akuma and tells Chloe he will never Akumatise her again because she has proven that she is simply incompetent.

When she is stopped everyone has had enough of her crap. The class, and school at large make it clear as crystal that they hate her. Even Miss Bustier can't bring herself to defend Chloe or implore the class into forgiving her this time. Principle Damocles suspends her from school, willing to risk the Mayor's wrath. Except her father doesn't intervene this time. He is actually furious because her antics have made his campaign all the harder and he isn't sure he is going to win. Her butler, aware of what she did, is cold and formal to her, having given up on her. Finally, even Sabrina walks away, saying enough is enough.

Basically, Chloe has been deconstructed, everyone having given up on her.

On this same bad day for both of them that Adrien and Chloe have a chance encounter. Both are lonely and desperate in this moment. In her vulnerability, Adrien sees not Chloe the mean girl queen bee of the school, but his first (and for the longest time, only) friend. Chloe of course has always been attracted to Adrien, but his status as her childhood friend right now is particularly important to her. Even if they were on the outs before, events have formed a perfect storm and they get together, Adrien now being too distracted to notice Marinette has begun replying to his earlier messages.

Obviously, Adrien and Chloe dating could cause turmoil amongst Marinette and the supporting cast. But at the same time, you could explore the full trainwreck between the two of them. Adrien could be turning a blind eye to instances of Chloe's bad behaviour (which there are fewer instances of since she is not going to school for the time being) and might even delusionally believe he can 'make her better'. Simultaneously, Chloe, having finally gotten Adrien like she always wanted, is starting to find he in fact isn't her type.

Obviously, it ends in tears but both have grown wiser as a result. Chloe might resolve to be a bit nicer or at least not go for boys like Adrien. And Adrien will try to be more wary of people like Chloe, realising it is foolish to try and change them

*Or, if you'd established this status quo beforehand, they might've been dating and she dumps him here.

Ever notice how no matter how many times the opening theme song sequence changes for “Miraculous Ladybug”, out of everyone, Lila Rossi is never in them! We see Hawk/Shadow Moth, Mayura, the Kwamis and even a passing by black cat in ’em, but Lila! (Brooklyn accent) Forget about it! I mean look at these:

Season 1

We see our heroes, their classmates and several Parisians that have gotten akumatized, but no Lila even though this was her debut season.

Season 2-3

We again see our heroes and their classmates, but no Lila again even though she was locking herself away from Season 2, but then returned in Season 3, where she appeared on occasion and yet, she’s still not shown!

Season 4

First we see Kagami (, Alya and Marinette for a brief second). Who was introduced in Season 2, as one of her rivals for Adrien’s affections, but not anymore (“Lies”). She’s an Adrienette shipper now (“Mr.Pigeon 72”). So she’s a friend.

Next we have Adrien and Nino. Her love interest and her best friends love interest, respectively and there at the top, her new friend, Zoe, introduced this season and Marinettes other love interest, Luka, introduced in Season 2. Adrien only sees Marinette as “just a friend”, but she excepts it any way (kinda) and Nino formally had a crush on her, but moved on to Alya (“Animan”), Zoe is the “Nice Chloe”, so that’s a fast friendship (“Sole Crusher”) and Lukanette is sunk (“Truth”), but they’re still amicable as friends (“Crocoduel”).

Then we have the girl squad and their foreshadowing miraculous edits. The ultimate friendship group.

Finally, we have Chloe and Sabrina followed by Ivan, Kim and Max and last, but certainly not least, Nathaniel and Marc. So here’s the thing, Marinette can’t stand Chloe, even after all the akumatizations she’s caused and all the troublemaking she’s done and even gone to the dark side, but she’s here any way cuz Marinette isn’t gonna quit on her to get on the right path. Being Ladybug as a role model may not have worked (“Miraculer”), giving her the bee miraculous may not have worked either (“Malediktator”), but she’s hoping her (Chloe’s) half-sister, Zoe, will do the trick even if Chloe doesn’t accept her (“Queen Banana”) and Adrien still has high hopes for her since they’re childhood friends. Marinette considers Sabrina a friend cuz she’s actually a nice person just badly influenced by Chloe. Marinette also has guy friends she trusts. She tried to help Ivan get together with Mylene (“Origins Part 2:Stoneheart”), she encouraged Kim on professing his love to his crush with a gift (unknown that it was Chloe at the time “Dark Cupid”) and with Max she partnered up with him to win a video game competition for their school (“Gamer”). On Nathaniel, he originally had a crush on her, but “moved on” to Ladybug (“Evillustrator”) and Marc (who is included despite not being a part of her class, like Zoe) is cool since she made him and Nathaniel get together (“Reverser”).

Once again No Lila!

These have evolved since Season 2, with the editions of Kagami, Luka, Marc and Zoe, but Lila was introduced in the first season and she hasn’t been shown once in ANY of the openings! Come to think of it, why haven’t we seen Felix in the openings (in Season 4) since he’s starting to be important after what happened (“Gabriel Agreste”). Why you ask? Is it cuz (from Season 2 onwards) the people are miraculous holders? Yes! Yes they are!

Those classmates/non classmates made up Team Miraculous and that’s why they were shown! Marinette/Ladybug would never give a miraculous to Lila after everything she’s done to her and Felix is barely around, so yeah, that’s why they’re never in the theme song openings! However, now that Season 4 is over and we had a dramatic finale involving those two, who’s to say maybe they won’t get a chance to finally become part of the show with them in the theme song now! After all, they’ve done such a great job at being bad😈.

Apologies ahead of time, I didn’t mean to ramble on for nearly this long when I stared typing. Sorry! Also fandom salt warning. If you’re feeling down, some of this might be a bit too negative

This isn’t really aro hc stuff, but I’ve been reading a lot of ml posts lately, and something I’ve noticed is that pretty much everyone loves Alix, which is valid because she’s the best, but despite positive Alix content, I can’t help but get a weird feeling off of it because of how it compares to how people talk about other characters on her level of plot relevance.

I feel like the fandom is divided into two parts, the majority (typical ml fan) which is here exclusively/mostly for the main cast, and the smaller part that stans the supporting cast as well and views small subplots as equal to the love square and agreste lore and all that. I’m mostly talking about the former here.

I’ve noticed that when typical ml fans give opinions on side characters, they tend to hold their flaws over their heads a lot. If anyone does anything wrong ever, they won’t forget it. “Yeah Max is alright, but that napkin scene…” “I can’t accept a Sabrina redemption arc. She’s just so complacent with Chloe and doesn’t think for herself.” “Alya takes initiative too much when it’s not her business.” Even when the thing they criticize isn’t actually bad, which usually comes off as kinda ableist. “Rose’s childish behavior is so annoying.” “Mylene’s coping mechanisms are embarrassing.”

But I don’t think I’ve EVER heard this kind of thing about Alix. When people make AUs starring only main characters, a lot of them throw her in there as well. When salters say, “I hate every character in this show except […]” she’s usually on that list. Part of it is because the conventionally attractive, skinny, white-passing characters tend to be elevated while the rest are brushed off, which always makes me mad, but that’s a whole ‘nother conversation.

These types of posts and fan works made me realize that Alix really lacks flaws and bad moments in canon. Sure, sometimes she does dorky things that are usually overlooked in fanon, but it’s so heavily outweighed by her being badass and snarky and logical all the time.

Here’s where the aro part comes in. A lot of the characters’ fuck-ups happen in romantic situations. Not all, but a lot. ML relies heavily on the “love makes people do stupid things” idea. There’s Marinette’s common screw-ups of varying severity as soon as she hears Adrien’s name, Adrien getting clingy over LB and being emo about her not returning his love, Nino making mountains out of molehills and revealing his and Rena’s identities in Rocketear, Kim trying to suck up to Chloe in the early seasons, Nath being a dick in Reverser. Mylene and Ivan’s relationship is used as a vessel to portray their respective flaws and struggles. Luka took his first big L besides being corny in season 4 after not being able to get over Marinette.

As much as we like the “being aspec makes us immune from simp-induced idiocy” thing, could they be overdoing it here? Maybe something will happen later in s5, but Alix never makes mistakes. She doesn’t have interpersonal issues with anyone because everyone loves her. She doesn’t openly get stressed out or bothered by things, and laughs a lot off. She’s always chill, tough, and she’s almost always right. She’s never done anything embarrassing or needed support from anyone else.

She’s the only one like this. Kagami plays a role kind of like this now, but she has problems socializing, and was very much hated in earlier seasons. Felix is widely regarded as having OP intelligence, and some people love him for it, but some people hate him for, y’know, being a huge dipshit. Zoe hasn’t had much of a chance to do anything, but an overwhelming number of people hate her just for existing. The closest one is Marc, but even then, he has obvious flaws. He’s pretty emotional in a way that people just find endearing, but he still gets some criticism for writing fiction about real heroes and villains (even though that’s implied to be completely normal in this world) and his arc kind of reminds me of Meena from Sing.

Anyways, I want to see Alix fuck up. I want to see her make a huge mistake, and get scared, and make a mess of things. Show me her being afraid of asking for help, biting off way more than she can chew, and trying to deal with something she just can’t handle all on her own. Give me Alix finding herself being the one in need of saving or comforting for once. Show me her hiding things to keep up her cool reputation or bottling up her feelings to look tough. Let her get angry over something irrational. Make her say something a little too sarcastic that hurts someone’s feelings or make a teasing joke in poor taste at the wrong time. Make her shit on her brother a little too much or come off as rude when calling the girls’ romance talk dumb or ignore Nath while hanging out with other people. Let her struggle with being aro as much as censorship will allow, or, from a more meta perspective, being the only aro character in a show about and chock full of romance. Show me Alix who goes with the flow without thinking, doesn’t give af about consequences, then gets hit in the face by them. Let constant time travel screw her up a little. Let her resent Ladybug a bit, deep down, for giving her this super stressful job, even though she consciously understands. Let the team put all their faith in Bunnyx to save the day, only for her to totally blow it. Show me Alix who would never get emotional in front of anyone, except maybe a select few people, who finds it impossible to show vulnerability and fears showing weakness.

I want to see the Alix that has struggles and makes bad decisions like the rest of the cast, not the Alix that is interpreted as overwhelmingly badass and perfect in people’s ooc grim dark AU fan fiction. Maybe the time just hasn’t come yet, but this is what canon is currently missing to me.

Don't worry about the length of this ask, your meta is always interesting to read and it actually made me super happy to see a long ask about Alix sitting in my inbox! (And I'm sure this reply is going to get long as well, haha.)

You absolutely have a point, I've seen it too -- salters or people who don't like the show still tend to like Alix as a character, even if they don't like other minor characters. There doesn't seem to be anything to dislike when her main personality is basically just being a badass. The only time in canon I can think of where she really "screws up" was way back in Timebreaker, where she supposedly should have taken better care of the pocket watch and apologises for it at the end. But that always seemed silly to me because she didn't do anything wrong! She knew it would be dangerous if she kept it with her during the race, so it made sense that she gave it to her friends for safekeeping, and if they were careless and broke it then that wasn't anything to do with her! But the narrative portrays it as her not being responsible enough. (Lol it's been years but I'm still a little sore about it.)

So yeah, even the one time she really "did something wrong" it's clear to see that she really didn't, and so people don't have a flaw to pick at. I remember back in season 1 I used to wonder if she was a loner like Nath, because she didn't really talk to the rest of the classmates back then (like in the class election in Darkblade she says she doesn't care about running for class rep and seems just generally apathetic) but season 2 onwards made it clear that she's very friendly and everyone in-show loves her. Which on the one hand is awesome, but on the other hand it would have been interesting to explore a more aloof side of her -- like you were saying about maybe having her feel unable to show emotional vulnerability in front of people. At the current moment she seems like the perfect friend to all her classmates and as awesome as that is, it does seem kind of shallow when everyone else is shown to have flaws and depth!

"Simp-induced idiocy" is an amazing phrase omg that's going into my lexicon now. But yeah, you're right, the nonsense behaviour in the show usually stems from teenage awkwardness around romance, and Alix clearly doesn't have that. But aro characters deserve to have the same depth to them as allo characters, just as aro people irl are obviously just as deep and rounded as allos. All of the scenarios you suggested would be so fun to explore!

I especially think the burden of being the hero of time would be a direction the show could go in, since (s5 spoilers alert!!) she's now stuck in the burrow for what will probably be years, not being able to see her family or grow up with her classmates, all on very short-notice, and that's obviously going to be a lot to deal with. Managing the timeline in general must be a difficult, stressful job -- just imagine all the apocalypses she has to see! And if she does her job right then no one else will know about those, so no one will know quite how much of a burden it truly is! Chat Blanc x1000. And all she really has is Fluff and herself. Will she get lonely? It would be so interesting to see a loneliness arc solved with something other than romance.

I remember having a few ideas about how the show could try and make it obvious that she's aro in spite of censorship -- like having a reverse Dark Cupid-style villain who shoots arrows of love at people and it doesn't work on Alix, or having her be akumatised into a Dark Cupid-style villain herself when she gets too sick of her classmates' romantic shenanigans, and the theme could be about having a balance where she cares about her friends' happiness, but they also don't overwhelm her with romantic talk. Just the show having magic in general could show that she's aro in some kind of metaphor way. I doubt it could ever be explicitly stated (just look how lowkey Julerose and Marcnath have to be!) but more hints like her sarcasm in Gigantitan would always be welcome! I think Alix being aro in the actual show itself is still more likely than them finding a way to make Max outright ace in the show though, for obvious reasons.

Anyway thank you for this ask, I'm always happy to hear about and talk about Arolix! I think it's surprising that there's not more discussions of her aromanticism in the fandom, considering that she's a pretty popular character, but then again it was only revealed in a tweet so not everyone knows she's aro. And fandoms are not the most aro-friendly of places on a good day. (I've been yelled at for headcanoning characters as aro before, including Alix back in the days before it was canon... Ah well, I've stopped caring what people think now.) I hope in the future more facets of her personality will be explored, not just "she's cool and snarky"!

Lately I've been wondering why 5 heroes work for me and why a huge team doesn't. And I figured ... I don't understand why some of them still agree to be a hero. For example: Pigella had a reason in her episode, but then? What is actually keeping her on this team? Alya knew who Nino was and was interested in Ladybug, Chloe was interested in Ladybug, Nino, the second time, was called together with Alya. But Pigella? She doesn't know about Julek. She also never showed any interest in Ladybug. (1)

This is one of the biggest problems I have with the temp heroes.

Despite always being featured in the marketing as if the show was about this team of superheroes, outside of their debut episodes (with some exceptions), any temp hero who isn’t Rena Rouge, Queen Bee, or Viperion barely gets any focus, and is pretty much relegated to the background except when Ladybug occasionally calls one or two of them for help. Even then, they don’t get to do or say much outside of using the one power they have to help Ladybug save the day and make Cat Noir feel underappreciated by making it seem like Ladybug doesn’t care about him.

Alya and Chloe feel like they have more reasons to be superheroes and as a result, feel more fleshed out as characters because of their dedication to Ladybug thanks to previous experiences with her and also having a high view of superheroes, even if it’s a skewed view for the latter. Recently, Luka has also shown how loyal he is to Ladybug by secretly supporting her because he knows she’s Marinette and wants to help her as much as he can.

As for the other heroes, like you said, why do they even feel the need to help out Ladybug? Yes, it’s obviously the right thing to do, and being trusted with a Miraculous is a high honor, but we never really get any personal motivation for any of the characters as to why they continue risking their lives for Paris.

I can kind of see Kagami, Kim and Alix wanting to keep being superheroes because they’re all daredevils at heart, but Mylene and Juleka are very introverted, and we don’t really see how they manage to overcome their respective worries when transformed after the initial struggle in their first appearances. As for Nino, Max, Zoe, and Rose, while they are all upstanding citizens, we still don’t really know what exactly their motivation for staying superheroes is.

Because the temp heroes are so rarely called on, we barely see how their personalities and lives change thanks to the mask. One of the initial draws to the show in the first place was seeing how differently Marinette and Adrien acted as Ladybug and Cat Noir and all the interactions they have, but we never see any drastic personality changes when the other heroes transform. They’re all just the same people, but now they’re superheroes. I remember back when Alya, Nino, and Chloe becoming heroes were just speculations, there were talks of their personalities changing as a result, with Alya becoming more reckless, Nino becoming more wise, and Chloe becoming nicer, but then Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee appeared in canon proper, and acted exactly the same as when they were just civilians.

Even in episodes where Ladybug assembles multiple heroes to form a united front against an Akuma, they rarely have any weight to them. “Heroes’ Day” worked because there was buildup to assembling the team and the conflict required for Ladybug and Cat Noir to recruit Rena Rouge, Carapace, and Queen Bee, and even though they got taken out, it was because Scarletmoth exploited key weaknesses after they put a dent in his Scarlet Army. In other episodes like “Party Crasher”, “Mega Leech”, and “Ephemeral”, the teams assembled barely have any buildup outside of the heroes’ civilian identities briefly interacting before in the cases of the first two examples. There’s never any meaningful conversations or even a little bantering during fights. It just makes the temp heroes come off less like characters and more like props.

It’s even worse when you remember that earlier episodes have shown Ladybug is a master at using whatever Miraculous she uses (Reflekdoll, Kwamibuster, Optigami, Sentibubbler), so why she even continues to recruit other heroes when she can now take a Miraculous out of her yo-yo that’s conveniently connected to the Miracle Ball is beyond me.

And once again, like you said, the fact that their identities are exposed is never acknowledged outside of two episodes (and even then, it was only Alya for the latter even though Shadowmoth had Carapace’s civilian identity held hostage), and since Shadowmoth failed both times, he can’t capitalize on that opportunity again.

I get it, at the end of the day, the show is specifically about Ladybug and Cat Noir, but if you’re going to introduce fifteen new heroes across the span of three seasons of television, you need to think over your plan to properly integrate the new characters into your main cast instead of just cramming as many heroes into a fight scene as possible and expecting the audience to get invested.
