Bloody Bug Moving Forward
We're here, fuckers! This is where I say goodbye to canon and diverge completely. If Mayura alone wasn't proof of that, well, let's really dive into season 3 expectations and current-but-subject-to-change-ideas.
The biggest thing is integrating the half-baked lore of the show with my shit. Which means, yes, Velze mother fuckers! The amalgamation fusions were the hint even before when I mentioned fusions of 5 would be called amalgamations. What else is called an amalgamation? Why my dear Velze.
Nathalie/Mayura is another big change. Once a lovestruck lackey now a manipulative bitch obsessed with kwamis. Taking the treasure hunter aspect of her and just fucking running with it. You'll see traces of Absolution Papillon in her, but fret not, she's not as bloodthirsty or murdery. Think of her more as someone like Moira from Overwatch.
Adrien will be benched as Chat Noir, but he will still be active as the ox holder. Juleka will be taking up the mantle of black cat for now. Carapace has left the team after the encounter with Mayura. Alya has returned as Bomb Bee.
With season 3, I'm aiming for a bigger focus on Adrien as this is where he's most important as I want to cover the following;
Gabriel's redemption (yes, you heard me)
Marinette's villain arc (let me have this, this one time)
Adrien learning who Nathalie really is
Lila siding with Mayura
I will also be cherry picking with akumas I use from canon as this will be the last season y'all will see akumas. At least until I shift directions, but we'll see.
Also! I'm considering changing up designs for the heroes moving forward. Y'all should see some polls coming out in the day for design.
All in all, this shits about to get even darker than it was before. If any of y'all thought I'd stop at Alix's anger issues, her attempted sui, or Adrien being a SA victim, nah! We about to have fun up in this bitch.

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 36 - Mayura
Beginning || Previous || Next
Alix walked to school as she listened to the radio. She flipped between radio stations that weren’t giving their morning news segment when she heard of an announcement from the mayor. She listened to it as he declared in a couple of months, Paris would be hosting a Heros’ Day in honor of the heroes that safeguard the city. She lingered a moment on the idea of it. It was generous of the mayor, and even the people, to host such a day, but it felt premature. They had no idea who Hawkmoth was or how to get to him. Maybe in that time, they could catch him and have that day truly mean something.
Alix turned off the radio and hurried to school. She walked up the steps as she tuned into the buzz of everyone around her. They gossiped about the mayor’s announcement and what they would do for Heros’ Day. She snorted and stepped through the doors when a chill passed over her. She stopped as her stomach twisted in knots that she felt like she was going to throw up. She took a sharp breath and sat on a nearby empty bench. She took deep breaths as she attempted to soothe the uneasiness, but it lingered.
“Alix? Are you ok?” Kim asked.
Alix glanced up and saw Kim with Max beside him. “The fuck do you want?”
“If you’re going to be rude about it, then forget it.”
            “Good. Now fuck off.”
Kim flinched. Max nudged Kim forward.
“Actually, I wanted to apologize. For everything with Dark Cupid. I shouldn’t have come after you. I just… got really jealous that Chloe liked you more than me. You know?”
“Maybe it’s time you move on. If Chloe isn’t interested, there’s no point in pursuing someone that’ll never love you the way you want in return.”
“Precisely. I’ve told Kim this over the past couple of weeks since the incident. It has yet to fully sink in,” Max added.
Kim crossed his arms. “Yeah, well, it’s stupid. It’s me. Who better for Chloe than me?”
            “Alix?” Max asked.
Kim’s shoulders drooped before he shook himself off and glared at Alix. “What is it about you that won Chloe over? What do you have that I don’t?”
“I don’t fucking know, and I don’t fucking care either. I told Chloe that there won’t be anything between us. And unlike you, she respects my boundaries. Maybe that’s something you should get in your head instead of letting it escape through that empty chasm you call a brain.”
Kim’s jaw dropped and he glowered at Alix. She stood, flipped him off, and headed up to homeroom. Her nerves fried and ate her alive the closer she got to her homeroom. She gulped and leaned against the wall before she slid to the ground.
            “Alix? What’s wrong?” Rose cried.
Alix looked over at Rose, Juleka, and Luka. Rose knelt beside her while Juleka and Luka kept their distance.
“Sorry. I don’t feel well suddenly. Hit me like a damn truck,” Alix groaned.
“That explains your music. It’s jarring, unsettled, like it’s scared. No, not scared. A warning,” Luka whispered.
Juleka nodded. “You’re not alone, Alix. I feel it too.”
“Shit. I thought it was just… it doesn’t matter. What’s your sixth sense tell you, Juleka?” Alix asked.
“Danger. Real danger. Not like Hawkmoth. Hawkmoth there is unease, but it soothes over before long. This? This is all consuming.”
Alix stumbled to her feet. “Fuck this. I’m not waiting for it to show up.”
“But, school! You can’t just leave,” Rose whispered.
“I know, but I can’t just sit back and let whatever is going to happen, happen. Juleka, Luka, thank you. Have any of you seen Adrien?”
Juleka turned and pointed down in the courtyard. Alix peered over the railing at Adrien with Chloe, Nino, and Sabrina. Alix nodded to Juleka and Luka, pecked Rose on the cheek, then headed down to the others.
“Woah! Look who’s come to join us, dudes. How’s it hanging, Alix?” Nino asked.
“We’ve got trouble brewing. Something bad is on the horizon,” Alix whispered.
“What? How do you know?” Adrien asked.
“A sickening feeling and a pair of psychics. Say what you will, but I’m not about to doubt my own gut on this.”
“Well, do we have anything more to go off of than a gut feeling? I mean, what are we supposed to do anyway?” Chloe demanded.
“C’mon, dude, we’ll think of something. We just need to think,” Nino commented.
Alix drowned out Nino and Chloe’s arguing when she heard Rose and Luka yell out. She turned to see Juleka leaned against the railing for support. They fussed over Juleka, but Juleka’s eyes were glued to the front. She gulped as the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end. She looked at the front and gasped. A woman in a dark blue dress with blue skin, short blue hair, and fuchsia eyes strolled in.
Alix reached for Adrien’s wrist and held him tight. He raised a brow when he looked in her direction. He gasped when he saw the woman. Cold dread consumed him when the woman looked at him and smiled. The woman closed the gap between them before Alix and Sabrina could react. He gulped as he stared up into her eyes before his gaze dropped to the peacock brooch at her chest.
Adrien gasped and stumbled back, but the woman caught him by his jaw. She pulled him closer to her and turned his head as she inspected him.
“Marvelous. Such a specimen you are. Born of love, unlike so many others. Well, there was one other, but it is such a poisonous love. Not like yours. So pure. So innocent. So… misguided and foolish.”
            “I don’t understand,” Adrien whined.
“You don’t need to, but further analysis is needed. It’ll give us something to do while we wait.”
“Wait? Wait for what? The heroes.”
The woman laughed. “Heavens, no. For Hawkmoth.”
Adrien opened his mouth when the woman grabbed him. She held him under her arm as she leapt out of the school’s courtyard. He gasped as she ran through Paris to the Eiffel Tower. She perched up on it before she let him down.
“What’s going on? Why did you take me?” Adrien demanded.
“I already told you. Now, for the attention.”
Adrien scrambled away, but the woman held up her hand that had a pair of twin silver rings on the middle finger.
            “Stop,” the woman commanded.
Compulsion fell over Adrien as he obeyed. His breath caught, his heart pounded, and fear consumed him. He glanced back at the rings as terror tore him apart.
The woman chuckled. “Oh, I just love the smell of fear.”
Adrien whimpered as the woman advanced. He recoiled from her outstretched hand when he spotted Bloody Bug and Porcelet. Excitement mingled with the fear as they attacked the woman. She sidestepped their attack and laughed.
“Almost, but the magic child gave you both away,” the woman said.
“Let him go!” Bloody Bug roared.
            “I don’t think I will. Not until I get what I want.”
            “Then I’ll just-!”
Porcelet stepped between Bloody Bug and the woman. “What is your name?”
            “Mayura.”
“Mayura, a pleasure. What is it you seek?”
“My, how civilized. Unlike other company. Very well, Porcelet. I seek a prize you cannot give me: Hawkmoth.”
“But why kidnap Adrien Agreste if you seek Hawkmoth?”
            Mayura chuckled. “Why indeed?”
“Enough of this! If you won’t give him back willingly, we’ll take him by force!” Bloody Bug yelled.
Mayura smiled. She plucked a feather out from her fan and let it go. It flew around Porcelet and changed from white to blue before it returned to Mayura’s fan. She grinned and created a slim creature that was skin clinging to bone. Slime and sludge oozed from the creature that emitted a horrendous odor that could turn any stomach. Its mouth hung agape in a permanent scream with empty, black eyes. Porcelet screamed while Bloody Bug jumped between Porcelet and the monster. She pointed her fan at the heroes as the creature howled and lunged. The heroes jumped off the tower as the creature pursued them.
            “W-what was that?” Adrien whispered.
“A magnificent specimen. One should be enough, but just to make sure.”
Mayura plucked another feather and pressed it against Adrien’s cheek. He flinched as the white feather turned blue and she returned it to her fan. She gave rise to a ghastly wolf creature that was as tall as a building. Its legs were thin and elongated while its torso bloated. Horns jutted out from the top of the creature’s head along its back into a long, spiked tail. Its mouth twisted into a sharp-toothed grin as its black, empty eyes shone with malicious intent.
Mayura pointed her fan towards the heroes, now joined by Gallic Chick and Carapace. The creature gave a deep, low laugh before it slithered down the tower. A choir of screams ripped through the air. Mayura grinned as she basked in the fear.
“W-why are you doing this? You say you want Hawkmoth, but instead you terrorize the city and fight the heroes. If what you say is true, why oppose the city and the heroes?” Adrien demanded.
“Please. A creature like you would never understand, even if I did explain it. You’re just incapable to understanding.”
“And why’s that? Because I’m a child in your eyes?”
“Heavens, no. Because you are made of love, so love is all you can truly know. Anything born out of malice, hatred, rage, and all that fun stuff, you cannot fathom. Unlike that cousin of yours. Or would he be your brother? You had different mothers, but you are one and the same, right? Hmm, this may require further testing.”
            “I don’t understand.”
            Mayura growled. “Silence.”
Compulsion fell over Adrien as he obeyed. He watched as the Bloody Bug unified with Ziggy into a black and white raven and fought the monsters with Gallic Chick. His heart ached seeing Porcelet and Carapace struggle to battle the nightmare creatures. He whined when Mayura grabbed his face and forced him to look up. His eyes widened seeing a news helicopter.
“Let the show begin,” Mayura hissed.
Mayura pressed her fan against herself, turning a feather blue. She created a massive bird the size of a plane with majestic dark blue and fuchsia feathers. She pointed her fan at the helicopter, and it retrieved the vehicle. The news crew inside cowered as she approached them.
“Please, don’t hurt us. We’re just-!” Nadja yelled.
“Cameras on me and you won’t be hurt.”
The cameraman nodded and pointed a camera at Mayura. She smirked and pulled Adrien closer by his jaw.
“Oh, Hawkmoth, look what I have. You want your investment to stay safe, you’ll come to the Eiffel Tower to reclaim him. And in case you get cold feet.”
Mayura flipped off the camera with the hand with the twin rings. She snapped her fingers and the giant bird released the helicopter. She looked down at the fight to see her creatures were ensnared and tied up. She scoffed and turned as Bloody Bug and the team cornered her.
“We’re done with this. You’ve lost. Give us Adrien.”
Mayura tapped her folded fan against her chin. She smirked as she tapped it once against the railing, dismissing her monsters. She grabbed Adrien and leapt over the edge.
            “Duusu! Unify!”
Adrien watched as light erupted from the brooch that enveloped Mayura. The light grew until it overshadowed the Eiffel Tower. It expanded and reshaped to the vague outline of a bird/human hybrid. He gulped as the light faded to reveal a massive anthropomorphic bird with six small wings, a plume of feathers styled like a fancy collar, and a long feather tail cape. Fuchsia eyes floated above her feather collar and tail that glared at them. The bird’s hand closed around him as it opened all of the eyes across its body.
Blood Raven gawked at the eldritch peacock monster before them. Her nerves ate away at her under its plethora of eyes. She sucked in a breath, jumped onto the railing, and glared at the monster.
“Bug, bird, whatever, I don’t think this is a good idea,” Carapace remarked.
“Are you insane? That thing still has Adrien. We have to fight it!” Gallic Chick snapped.
“Maybe we don’t have to. What if we found Hawkmoth? We don’t have to fight and risk Adrien,” Porcelet proposed.
“There’s no way I’m-!” Blood Raven started.
            “Peacock!” a man yelled.
Everyone turned to see a man in an outlandish butterfly super suit and mask. The heroes’ faces twisted in confusion while the peacock laughed.
“My, doesn’t this explain your horrible designs. Such a shame. I was expecting something more intimidating.”
            “Release the boy!”
The peacock shrugged and threw Adrien behind her. The heroes dove with Blood Raven being the one to catch Adrien. They ran to a nearby alleyway as a giant fox eldritch creature materialized.
Blood Raven gasped. “The old man!”
            “Old man?” Carapace asked.
“We’ll explain soon. We need a way to get rid of Mayura. Even if it is temporary.”
“Why? Let’s just go. We got Adrien. There’s no need to stay here and fight demons,” Carapace argued.
            “Excuse me, but there’s a-!”
“Please. We have Adrien. We could reengage, but there’s a good chance that we’ll get in the way of that fox. We should retreat while we have the chance,” Porcelet explained.
Blood Raven snarled. “Fine! Adrien, transform. We’re taking them to the old man’s place.”
Adrien nodded and transformed into Chat Noir. They headed through the city to Wang Fu’s massage shop. They entered his room, but it was empty. Chat Noir and Blood Raven shrugged as they sat at the table. The others exchanged glances before they took a seat. They waited there until Wang Fu returned.
“Good. You’re all here. We have business to discuss,” Wang Fu said.
“I’ll say. What was that thing?” Blood Raven demanded.
“That is a holder that reached the apex level and is fully attuned to their kwami. Something that is only for the Guardians.”
“What? What do you mean?” Chat Noir asked.
Wang Fu sighed. “See, usually with holders such as yourselves, we don’t allow you past the third tier. As it stands, Bloody Bug and Chat Noir are one step away from that while the rest of you are two steps. However, with that peacock holder, she’s one above that, making her on par with a Guardian like me.”
“Then what do we do? Can we even fight her?” Gallic Chick asked.
“Yes. But before that, Chat Noir, why was she after you?” Wang Fu asked.
“She didn’t explain well, but she wanted to use Adrien to get to Hawkmoth. I tried to get an explanation, but she never gave me one. And, on top of all that, she was able to control me.”
            “Hold up. Control you? How?”
“Well, she held up these silver wedding bands that looked like my mother and father’s wedding bands. She’d speak a command and I had to obey. There was no chance to refuse. I had to listen.”
Wang Fu’s eyes widened as they darkened with fear. “Oh no.”
            “Oh no?” Porcelet asked.
“This is grave. This is grave indeed. Chat Noir, I’m afraid that until Mayura is dealt with, you will need to be benched. For your and Plagg’s safety.”
            “What? Why?” Chat Noir cried.
“Chat Noir, I believe you are a sentimonster, a type of creature created by the peacock miraculous. With the power of emotions, the peacock can ‘give birth’ to constructs made of any emotion they desire. Typically, the holder would need consent, but at her level, she can take what she wants.”
“What? But how? I mean, I remember growing up. I remember birthdays, and Chloe, we grew up together. I’ve seen my own birth certificate! How am I one of those things?” Chat Noir demanded.
            “Yeah, how?” Gallic Chick added.
Wang Fu hummed. “I’m not sure. Most sentimonsters are made for a purpose, fulfill it, then are dismissed. It makes me wonder what purpose you were made for and what your function is. Regardless what the reason is, you are in danger, but as is Plagg. For both your safety, I ask you give Plagg back so we can find him a temporary holder.”
            “Just temporary? You promise?”
            “I promise.”
            “What about Stompp?”
Wang Fu hummed. “Keep Stompp. I want to see if his power could safeguard you from Mayura.”
“What’s his power on his own?”
“His power can safeguard you from other holders’ powers. With luck, that means the peacock shouldn’t be able to control you.”
Chat Noir sighed and nodded. He took off his ring and handed it to Wang Fu, who handed it to Blood Raven.
“Pick a holder you can trust as much as Adrien but can also be an asset to you against Mayura.”
            “I will. I promise.”
Wang Fu nodded and moved to his cabinets. He pulled out five elixirs and placed one in front of Gallic Chick, Porcelet, Carapace, Adrien, and Bloody Bug, then took a seat.
“Alright, now if you are to face this Mayura, you’ll need to be stronger. Gallic Chick, Carapace, and Porcelet, should you choose to stay and drink these potions, you’ll become more attuned to your kwamis. This will make you stronger and give you access to unification and passive powers based on the animal of the kwami.”
Gallic Chick and Porcelet’s eyes widened as they downed the elixirs. Carapace stared at it then shook his head. He pushed the elixir away, took off the turtle bracelet, and stood.
“Young man?” Wang Fu asked Nino.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t think I can continue this. Not against Mayura. Hawkmoth was one thing with all his silly villains. But those monsters that Mayura made were horrifying. I just… I don’t think I can do this,” Nino explained.
Adrien stood and hugged Nino. “It’s ok, dude. We don’t think any less of you. We understand. Right?”
            Gallic Chick shrugged.
“Of course. I was terrified. She made one of those monsters from my own fear. Seeing it was horrifying. I’ll likely have nightmares, but I also can’t run and hide. There are people in danger just as much as me. I just would prefer I stand against the evil to defend those that can only stand behind me.”
“I don’t fucking care about demons or anything. She can throw all of hell at me so long as I get the chance to rip her smug as smirk off her face and out her fucking ass,” Blood Raven hissed.
Everyone pursed their lips as they stared at Blood Raven. Adrien shook his head and turned to Nino.
“See, it’s all good. Do what is best for you, bro.”
            “You sure, dude?”
            “Always.”
Nino smiled and hugged Adrien. “Thanks, bro.”
            “Be safe, bro.”
            “You too.”
Nino gave a final smile and wave before he left the room. Adrien sighed and took a seat next to Blood Raven.
“Very well. We’ll see about getting you both another team mate. Now, for your elixirs, they will make you stronger, further attune you to your kwamis, but also give you access to amalgamation fusions,” Wang Fu explained.
            “Amalgamation fusions?” Blood Raven asked.
“Yes. These fusions are quite… unique. Whereas most fusions will resemble a clear animal or creature, the amalgamations don’t. They will always appear as a mix of the animals with white skin, platinum appendages, and prismatic highlights. We have never figured out why all amalgamation fusions look like this. We just know that this is the result. And while Mayura is around, Bloody Bug, I want you to have this tool at your disposal. Especially if Mayura goes primal again.”
“So, that’s what that was? Some sort of primal form?” Porcelet asked.
“Yes. A form exclusive to those that are fully attuned, which is reserved only for Guardians. How Mayura came upon this knowledge, I know not.”
“And these amalgamations are enough to deal with the primal forms?” Gallic Chick asked.
“Close. They can match them in terms of power and strength. Another thing we’ve not been able to fully understand.”
            “Why’s that?” Adrien asked.
“Because all that knowledge was lost to us. See, kwamis’ jewels were made by a human known simply as the Mage. Any account of their work has been lost. All we know is what was recorded by later humans.”
“You don’t think Mayura might have found it, do you? The Mage’s lost records?” Porcelet asked.
“Highly unlikely, but I wouldn’t dismiss anything at this point. Now, Adrien and Bloody Bug, drink the elixir.”
Adrien listened and drank his. Blood Raven de-unified and drank hers. Wang Fu nodded and pulled out the miracle box.
“Pick a new teammate, as a team,” Wang Fu added.
“Well, there’s only been two others, right? Bomb Bee and Lady-,” Porcelet started.
“Bomb Bee,” Bloody Bug cut in.
“I would prefer Bomb Bee, please,” Adrien added.
Porcelet tilted her head. “Oh? Is something wrong with Lady Tigress?”
“Lady Tigress is Marinette,” Blood Raven said.
“Oh, hell no. We aren’t letting that bitch anywhere near Adrikins,” Gallic Chick said.
“Yeah, I have to agree. I’d prefer her not be near him… or me,” Porcelet said.
“Has she been bothering you?” Bloody Bug asked.
“Not exactly. Because of Chloe, she won’t get near me, but it doesn’t help that I can almost always feel her eyes burning a hole into me.”
“Maybe she should shift some of that focus on her own boyfriend,” Gallic Chick muttered.
Bloody Bug snorted and took the bee comb.
“Very good. Now, Bloody Bug, return the goat to me.”
            “What? Why?”
“I will be giving you kwamis suited for handling Mayura if she goes primal for your amalgamation fusion.”
Bloody Bug sighed and returned the hair clips to Wang Fu. He bowed his head and took out the tiger, fox, snake, and mouse miraculous.
“You are to keep these with you until Mayura is defeated. You may unify with them, but never all together unless necessary. Understood?”
“Yes. Alright, team, let’s head out. Porcelet, Gallic Chick, take Adrien home. I have some errands to run.”
Gallic Chick and Porcelet nodded as they escorted Adrien out. Bloody Bug put on the new miraculous and turned to leave when Wang Fu held up a hand. She stopped as he pulled out a pair of elixirs.
“Give these two to the new members. We’ll need them strong to face Mayura.”
“Aren’t you worried about using them all up?”
“Oh, no. These are the easiest to make. It’s the other two that you won’t see me just passing out. Especially the final one, but let’s hope that it doesn’t come to that.”
Bloody Bug nodded and took the elixirs. She placed them in her yo-yo and headed off. She swung by Alya’s apartment and tapped on the balcony doors. A pair of young girls gawked at her when Alya ran out of her room. Alya hurried onto the balcony before the girls could join them.
“Bloody Bug! How can I help you?”
Bloody Bug held up the bee comb.
Alya gasped. “For real? You’re giving me another chance?”
“More than that. Carapace left the team. We need someone else to take his place. I need someone fearless that can stare down a monster before they toss it back to hell. Who better than you?”
Alya grinned and put the comb in her hair. “Thank you. Thank you so much.”
            “That’s not all.”
Bloody Bug took out an elixir from her yo-yo and handed it to Alya.
            “What’s that?” Alya asked.
“An elixir that will attune you to your kwami, making you stronger.”
            “Oh, say no more.”
Alya took the elixir and downed it.
“Alright, be ready for whenever danger rises.”
            “Wait, I have a question.”
            “Yes?”
“Could I maybe post some of my escapades on my blog?”
Bloody Bug sighed. “Fine. But if you out yourself, that’s on you.”
            “Heard.”
“Good. I’ll see you later, Bee.”
Bloody Bug headed off to Liberty. She took a deep breath as she snuck into the ship’s hold. She glanced around until she saw Juleka sitting on her bed far across from her. They stared at each other until Juleka put her guitar down and hurried over. Rose and Luka poked their heads out before they joined her.
“What are you doing here like this?” Juleka asked.
Bloody Bug inhaled, then sighed. She pulled out the black cat ring and the elixir and held it out for Juleka.
“What… what is this?” Juleka asked.
“Juleka Couffaine, I’m entrusting you with the black cat ring as its temporary holder. Should you accept, this elixir will make you stronger like the rest of us.”
“Me? Are you sure? Surely you can’t be. This is just-!”
“Juleka, I’m serious. Chat Noir cannot be the black cat. It would be a terrible liability. With Carapace leaving the team and Porcelet admitting to being afraid, I need people unafraid of the terrors in the dark. Aside from Bomb Bee, you’re the only person I can count on to not shy away from the unknown and terrifying. It’s someone like you I need at my side until Chat Noir can return to being himself.”
“So, it’s just a temporary arrangement, yes?”
            “Yes.”
“Do it, Jewel! You’d be an amazing black cat. In more ways than one,” Rose said dreamily.
Juleka and Bloody Bug exchanged glances before Juleka sighed.
“Ok, I’ll be your second, just don’t expect me to be a leader or whatever. I’m not exactly the leader type.”
“That’s ok. I don’t expect you to. And hopefully you won’t need to so long as I’m here.”
Juleka put the ring on and drank the elixir.
“So, when am I getting a miraculous?” Rose asked.
“Hopefully in time. Right now, I can’t say. Not with everything that happened.”
“I hope soon. Luka has one, now Jewel. I’m feeling a little left out. I can fight,” Rose pouted.
“More Juleka has one. Luka may have one in his possession, but he shouldn’t be using it.”
            Luka pursed his lips.
“What have you done?” Juleka and Bloody Bug asked.
“Oh, uh, nothing big. Just, uh, used the power to enter the Burrow and, uh, talk to someone.”
            “Dammit! Fluff!” Bloody Bug yelled.
            “You called?” Fluff asked.
            “Stop making paradoxes!”
“Rude! I haven’t made any recently.”
“So, you haven’t told Luka to go into the Burrow to speak with the other Harlequin?”
“Oh! No, yeah, I did do that.”
            “Dammit, Fluff. Why?”
“I mean, who better to speak with Luka than that Harlequin? Besides, you making your own paradox helped you out, right?”
Bloody Bug pinched the bridge of her nose. “I’ve had enough here. I’m heading home. Look, I’ll be in touch if something comes up, ok?”
            Juleka gave a thumbs up.
“And, Fluff? You give me a headache.”
Fluff giggled. “Welcome to my world. My head is a never-ending ache.”
Bloody Bug shook her head. “Whatever. I’ll see you all later.”

Because I'm feeling mildly evil, here y'all go:
“What’s going on? Why did you take me?” Adrien demanded.
“I already told you. Now, for the attention.”
Adrien scrambled away, but the woman held up her hand that had a pair of twin silver rings on the middle finger.
            “Stop,” the woman commanded.
Compulsion fell over Adrien as he obeyed. His breath caught, his heart pounded, and fear consumed him. He glanced back at the rings as terror tore him apart.
The woman chuckled. “Oh, I just love the smell of fear.”

I'm gonna be that person right now because I'm just stupidly overjoyed. Who wants to see something cool?
Tumblr media
If y'all thought the fusions for Bloody Bug were the only place I was diverting from canon, you are dead wrong. I present Primal Mayura, the ultimate fusion and connection between kwami and holder. A fusion only possible by the most elite of holders.
And yes! I could have resized the image to fit it all it, but I didn't want to.

Sirens Song?
Sorry about the delay in getting to this one. Let's see. Siren's Song. What to say, what to say.
Let's go behind the scenes.
This is a messy fic to pinpoint. I'm currently trying to decide how to handle the narrative, which is causing some set back. There's two big ways I can handle it, but am torn. See, I could default to what I did with a lot of my fics so far where I focus on multiple characters and their arcs. At least, that's what I was thinking. However, there's a big chance that I'll solely focus on one or two characters very much like Amaranthine and Bloody Bug. This is due to the fact that the story really does have one main protagonist, Kagami. Yes there are others that have plot relevance, but Kagami here would be the star of the show.

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 35 - Love
Beginning || Previous || Next
Alix stepped down into Liberty’s hold. She took a few more steps when Rose poked her head out.
“Alix! You’re here! Come, come, come. We don’t have too long before need to get going.”
Alix grunted and followed Rose to Luka and Juleka’s bedroom. Juleka fussed over Luka when his gaze shifted from her to Alix. He stiffened and nudged Juleka. Juleka looked up and smiled.
“There you are. Here I was worried you’d make us wait.”
“Yeah, well, I had a ride here. Otherwise, I’d have been late thanks to a villain wanting my ass.”
“What?” Juleka, Rose, and Luka yelled.
“Yeah. Apparently, Chloe finally told Kim off and that she’d never be interested in him. However, she did so in a way that crushed him and involved me. Luckily, Gallic Chick and a cowgirl hero showed up and stopped Dark Cupid.”
“But how did it involve you?” Rose asked.
Alix shrugged and threw her backpack down. “Apparently, Chloe said that I was more preferable to Kim. At a guess, Chloe has a crush on me.”
            “Chloe? Seriously?” Luka scoffed.
Alix raised her brow as she turned to Luka. “You’re looking dapper, Luka. Marinette is a lucky girl, isn’t she?”
            Luka flinched and shrank back.
“That’s what I thought. Now, this is your one chance to run before I need to get ready.”
Luka blushed and rushed out of the bedroom. Alix snorted and changed into a red and black chiffon short dress and a pair of straps with one that sat on her shoulders and the other than fell off them. She switched into a hair of black ripped skinny jeans and knee-high biker boots.
“Hold up. You’re not really wearing jeans with a dress, are you?” Juleka asked.
“Got a problem with it?” Alix countered.
            “Yes.”
“I dunno, Jewel. I think it looks good on Alix. Oh! We need to get her some accessories!” Rose chimed.
Juleka grumbled while Rose dug out different accessories to pair with Alix’s outfit. Rose settled on a pair of elbow-length, black fingerless gloves and painted Alix’s nails red. Rose pulled out some makeup, but Alix stopped her.
“Nail polish is one thing, but you aren’t putting any of that on my face.”
            “But-!”
            “No.”
Rose sighed. “Fine. Then you’re done. Jewel and I will get changed and then we can head out. You’re welcome to-.”
“Join Luka out there,” Juleka butted in.
            “But-!”
“Alix may be comfort stripping in front of us, and I’m not comfortable changing in front of her,” Juleka explained.
“Oh, right. Sorry, Jewel. I just, you know.”
Alix raised a brow. “Care to explain?”
“Uh, a little later. Why don’t you keep Luka company in the meantime?”
Alix narrowed her eyes, then shrugged before she joined Luka on the deck.
            “Hey,” Alix said.
“Huh? Oh! Uh, hey,” Luka remarked.
            “Excited for the dance tonight?”
            “I guess.”
“You guess? Aren’t you, you know, a hopeless romantic like Rose?”
“I mean, I guess. I like the idea of romance and love, but I’m worried about Marinette.”
            “What do you mean?”
“I just… she agreed to go out with me, but something doesn’t feel right. Her music is all wrong.”
            “Her music?”
Luka flinched. “Uh, y-yeah. Her music.”
            “What do you mean?”
“Well, promise you don’t make fun of me?”
            “I’ll try not to.”
Luka sighed. “I can hear the music of other people’s hearts. Juleka says it’s an empath ability, to feel the emotions of others. So, I’ve always been able to sorta know what people are feeling. It’s just not something I tend to share often since… since people bullied me over it.”
Alix’s eyes widened as she sat beside Luka. “Well, what does her music tell you?”
“That her heart is always elsewhere. Whenever I come into the picture, it vanishes. There are times I think there’s love, but it never feels like it’s directed towards me.”
            “Why’s that?”
“Because the only time I hear that music from her is when Adrien is around. And I just… it hurts. I want Marinette to like me, but how can she when all she sees is Adrien? Honestly, she should just be with him.”
“Yeah, that ain’t gonna happen. Look, if it’s causing you distress, why don’t you break up with her?”
“Because I don’t want to be alone anymore. I’m tired of seeing the people I love and try to get to know in their own relationships and those relationships all they see. I feel… forgotten. Left behind.”
“Luka, you were closed off for so long. You’ve made incredible progress, don’t get me wrong, but you’re not going to be the first thing people think of. It’s honestly expected that you’d fall to the sidelines for a lot of people.”
            “But… what about you?”
            “Me?”
“I know you have options. Will you fall in love and forget me too?”
Alix sighed and stood. “Luka, I’m not like everyone else, clearly. But love is just… not something for me. Romantic love, that is.”
            “What do you mean?”
“I’m aromantic. I don’t experience that romantic attraction. Along with that, romantic love is just… difficult for me to grasp. I understand love between friends and family, but when it comes to romance, I just don’t get it. However, I do realize that I still experience, well, sexual attraction, to put it bluntly.”
Luka blushed. “O-oh? I, uh, don’t exactly understand. So, you don’t fall in love with another person, but you will do things like kiss and, well, that.”
“That? Really? Call it for what it is, Luka. Sex.”
Luka recoiled. “I don’t like that word. It feels… icky.”
“Well, get used to it, because I won’t be calling it anything else. But, yes, I don’t fall in love romantically, but I will and would like to engage in more physical activities. But I don’t think that’s going to happen.”
            “Why not?”
“I’m no fool, Luka. There may be some that are interested in a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship, but that’s not what I’m looking for. I want a companion that is more than a friend, but not quite a partner. I want a companion that understands I’ll never love them like a partner, but will always love them as a dear, irreplaceable friend. I want to display that affection openly with seemingly romantic gestures like holding hands, kissing, and, yes, sex. But I know I won’t ever get that. Instead, like you, I get to watch everyone else get what I want because they can love the right way.”
            “That’s not true,” Fluff commented.
Alix jumped as Fluff hovered next to her. “Fuck’s sake, Fluff. What are you doing?”
“Fluff! I told you to hide,” Luka whispered.
“But I heard you and Alix talking, so I came to check on you two. And to offer my reassurances.”
            “Reassurances? How?” Alix asked.
“My mind spans all of time. That has been, is been, and will been along with all the branching paths. It is quite the labyrinth, but I can reassure you this. You’ll find your happiness one day. You’ll have a number of companions!”
            “Number? Companions? I thought-!”
Fluff giggled. “You’re young and still have a lot to learn, but I know good things wait for you. Just keep on the path that you are. It’ll hurt, you’ll want to give up, you’ll relapse, but you’ll always be stronger. Do this, and you’ll achieve the best you I hope you do. The best you that she would have been under better circumstances.”
“Uh, I’ll be honest, I don’t understand a lot of what Fluff says. You may need to do another tune-up on her,” Luka remarked.
Alix took a deep breath. She glanced between Luka and Fluff. “What’s that he said? It starts with an act of trust or something like that?”
“It always does. It’ll be hard, but it be rewarding.”
“How do I know if I’m making the right decision?”
“You don’t, but it starts with a leap of faith. But please do it. I don’t like the extra fighting to make my advice make sense to the ignorant. It’s driving me madder.”
            “What’s going on?” Luka asked.
“Fluff, retrieve it. It’s in my bag.”
Fluff gasped and disappeared into the floor.
“What was that? How did she do that?” Luka asked.
“No tune-up is necessary for Fluff. Not anymore.”
            “What do you mean?”
Alix held up a finger. Luka tilted his head when Rose screamed. They turned as Fluff flew back to them with the pocket watch and Rose and Juleka chasing after her with brooms.
“What is that thing?” Juleka demanded.
Fluff giggled and dropped the pocket watch in Alix’s hand. “There you go. One miraculous!”
“Miraculous? Wait, you mean the thing that Bloody Bug and Chat Noir have?” Rose asked.
Alix nodded and tossed the watch to Luka. “Fluff won’t need tune-ups now or ever again. She’s no machine. She’s a kwami. And the one you saw that day was also a kwami.”
“What the hell is a kwami?” Juleka asked.
Alix took a deep breath and held out her hand. “Come out, Tikki. Ziggy, you too.”
Tikki and Ziggy blipped into existence over Alix’s hand. Tikki smiled nervously while Ziggy grinned and waved.
“Wait. Wait! That one looks like a ladybug,” Juleka pointed out.
“Very good. What does that mean?” Alix pressed.
Juleka looked between Tikki and Alix, then her jaw dropped. “Holy fuck. I don’t understand. Why sorta tell us?”
“Sorta tell us what? I don’t understand,” Rose remarked.
“Rose, sweetie, I love you, but you can be an idiot,” Juleka commented.
            Rose frowned and pouted.
“Because the truth would come out eventually. And I believe Luka would benefit more knowing the truth about Fluff, and by extension me. As does Fluff. And, as I’ve told others, I would rather the truth come out on my terms so I can control the outcome. Well, at least try to.”
            “But why us?” Juleka asked.
“Because I trust you. Well, I’m growing to.”
“I’m still confused,” Rose butted in.
Alix sighed. “Rose, I’m Bloody Bug.”
Rose’s face twisted in confusion before her jaw dropped. “What? You? But… that means…? Are you dating Lila?”
“No. That was a lie. To be frank, she annoys me.”
“Oh. Well, uh, well-,” Rose attempted.
Juleka sighed and nudged Rose closer to Alix. “Get it over with, sweetie.”
“But I wanted to wait until we were at the dance.”
            “Wait for what?” Alix asked.
“Just do it now. I can see you want to,” Juleka remarked.
Rose huffed then sighed. “Alix, would you like to be in a queer platonic relationship with me?”
“What? With you? But you’re already with Juleka.”
“Yes, and I spoke with Juleka about this. We agreed that we’d try an open relationship.”
“Are you sure?” Alix asked Juleka.
“I am. Call me what you will, but I do believe that love should be shared with as many people as possible. So, when Rose asked for an open relationship, I was more than ok with it. After all, there’s no point in limiting your experiences. Romance and all that jazz is part of the experience.”
“And what does that make us?”
“Just friends. I like you, but I don’t like you that much. You’re not exactly my type. A little too rough around the edges for my liking.”
“Yeah, that checks out,” Alix commented.
“So, what do you say? Want to give this a try?” Rose asked.
“I’ll be honest, I hadn’t considered you. Granted you were and still are technically in a relationship, but I am interested in giving this a try. I’m just… inexperienced in all this.”
“Well, I’m not experienced in a queer platonic relationship, but I’m willing to give it a try. We’ll call this… an experience, yeah?”
Alix smiled. “Yeah. Sounds good to me.”
“Yay! Oh! We should get going. The dance awaits!”
“What are we waiting for? Let’s go!”
~~
Adrien arrived at the Valentine’s dance at Le Grand Paris. He eagerly headed to where the dance took place to find Sabrina and Chloe waiting outside for him.
“Hey, Adrikins! My, don’t you look dashing,” Chloe commented.
“Thanks, Chlo. You’re stylish as ever.”
“I would hope so. I can’t be caught dead in a fashion disaster. Not like Zoe.”
            “What do you mean?”
“Oh, she’s just upset because she got Zoe a really nice dress only for Zoe to tear it to shreds before she put it on,” Sabrina explained.
“Well, Zoe does seem, uh, very American?” Adrien commented.
“She can be American all she wants, but she should at least look good. Now she’s walking around in rags and it’s a nightmare.”
“That’s, uh, a shame, Chloe. Uh, you won’t mind if I head in, would you?”
“Go if you must, but don’t look at Zoe. You’ll die from the horror.”
Adrien smiled and rolled his eyes. He looked at Sabrina and offered his hand. “Shall we?”
Sabrina beamed and took Adrien’s hand. He led them onto the dance floor and glanced around. His heart leapt when he saw Alix enjoying herself with Rose. He tilted his head as Alix and Juleka took turns dancing with Rose, but never danced with each other. He wondered what was going on but pushed the thought away as he turned to Sabrina.
            “You look lovely tonight.”
Sabrina blushed and tucked her hair behind her ear. “Thank you. You look very handsome. Though I’m sure you get that a lot.”
“It means a lot more coming from you though.”
Sabrina’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Adrien. He smiled warmly and pulled her to the side.
“Uh, before we dance, I have something for you.”
“Oh! I have something for you too.”
“May I give you yours first?”
            Sabrina nodded.
Adrien smiled and pulled out the box from his suit. He opened it and pulled out the necklace. Sabrina’s eyes lit up as she covered her mouth. Tears sprung from her eyes as she pulled out a replica of the necklace of the love interest from the same show. His eyes widened as they misted over. They both giggled and grinned.
“May I… may I put it on you?” Adrien asked.
Sabrina looked down, then nodded. She turned around as Adrien put the necklace on her. She gently touched it as she turned back to him.
“May I put yours on you?”
Adrien nodded and turned around. Sabrina stood on her tiptoes as she put the necklace on him. He beamed as he looked down at it before he turned back to her.
            “I love it. Thank you.”
“I’m… I’m glad. I was worried, you know?”
            “About what?”
Sabrina shuffled and fidgeted. “That… I was reading things wrong. As you and a certain dashing rogue. Even as we spent little moments together, I didn’t dare to hope, but I did. I mean, it’s you, and it’s me. Especially with, you know, Kagami.”
Adrien stiffened at the mention of Kagami. He scanned the crowd and saw her with Felix in the middle of the dance floor. He didn’t have the best view, but he could see the elation on Felix’s face while she fought to hide her enjoyment.
“Well, you don’t have to worry. Kagami is… in a tough spot. I think she knows what she wants but can’t come to terms that what she wants is a factor. And that what she wants isn’t what her mother expects of her. She’ll still push back against her own desires, but I also won’t give her what Gabriel and her mother wants. I know what I want, and it isn’t her.”
Hope filled Sabrina’s eyes. “Then, would you… would you… like to be… my boyfriend?”
Adrien gasped as a silly grin spread on his face. He scooped up Sabrina and twirled her around. “Yes! Absolutely!”
Relief flooded Sabrina as she returned the embrace. They stepped back and stared at each other before Sabrina pulled Adrien to the dance floor. They giggled as they fell into step with the slow dance music.
Alix watched from the side as Juleka and Rose shared this dance. She slipped out of the room and headed up to the restaurant for a breather and refreshments. She grabbed a water and sat at a table. She stared out the window when Chloe took a seat with her.
Alix snorted. “I wondered when I’d be seeing you.”
“Yeah, well, you were awfully busy with Rose. Any reason why?”
            “Because we’re companions now.”
            “Companions? Don’t you mean girlfriends?”
“I don’t like that word. It doesn’t fit what we are.”
            “What do you mean?”
Alix sighed and explained about being aromantic to Chloe. She also explained the details of her relationship with Rose.
“So, you just don’t do romance, but you still do love, yeah?”
“Basically. I still care about those I would call companion. They’re more than just a booty call or ‘friends with benefits.’ I just wouldn’t love them like Mylene loves Ivan or Juleka loves Rose. Rather I would love in the way I can.”
“Right. Well, I’ll… just be going then.”
Chloe stood to leave, but her path was blocked by Zoe. They shared words in English before Chloe sat back down in a huff.
“Alix, I like you. And… and I was hoping we could… be together?”
“I don’t think I can do that just yet.”
            “What do you mean?”
“Look, I can see you have moved on from our past. That, to some capacity, you’ve forgiven me. To an extent, I’ve forgiven myself, but not completely.”
            “I don’t understand.”
“Chloe, I can hang out with you, have a great time, and call you my friend, but I can’t call you a companion. Not when there is lingering guilt… and regret.”
            “Alix?”
“I’m sorry, but it remains. Even as we move forward, I still blame myself. I should have been better, but I wasn’t, and I hurt you. Maybe in time we can be companions, but I can’t right now. Not with all that lingers.”
“Oh. I… I understand. For what it’s worth, I don’t blame you. And, yeah, it still scares me from time to time, especially when you’re angry, but I don’t blame you.”
“It doesn’t help but thank you. And I’m sorry.”
Chloe gave Alix a sad smile. Zoe snorted and smirked.
“Hey, I didn’t understand a lick of what you said, but I assume she turned you down. Can I hit that now?” Zoe asked Chloe.
Alix raised a brow while Chloe’s jaw dropped. Chloe huffed and stormed out. Zoe held her head high as she slipped into the seat.
“So, aro, eh? I know a few back in theater. You got any zucchinis?” Zoe asked.
“Uh, I assume you mean companions, and yes. Rose.”
“Really? Huh, you French people are strange.”
            “What’s that mean?”
            “That you’re strange?”
Alix shook her head. She opened her mouth but shut it when she saw Luka step into the restaurant alone. She watched him take a seat at an empty table and rested his head on it.
“Zoe, we’ll need to continue this later. A friend needs me.”
Zoe shrugged and helped herself to the refreshments. Alix moved and sat at the table with Luka. He shifted, looked at her, then put his head back down.
            “Hey, are you ok?”
“I’m… I’m fine. I just needed to step away.”
            “Luka, what did Marinette do?”
“Nothing. She just… is being herself. And… and I love her for it.”
“Don’t fucking lie to me. What did she do?”
“Look, it’s not a big deal. She’s just… really interested in Adrien and Sabrina.”
            “Luka,” Alix hissed.
            “What? It’s… it’s normal. I mean, she’s a fangirl, right?”
“Oh, she’s a fangirl alright. An obsessive one that only has eyes for Adrien. One that will never love you.”
            Luka flinched.
Alix winced under the eyes that fell on her. She took a breath and shook her head. “I understand that you want companionship. I understand you don’t want to be forgotten, but this isn’t how you do it. You don’t suffer through this neglect for someone that’ll never see you. You don’t want to be forgotten, yet you’re dating someone who’s likely forgotten you as speak.”
Luka snarled, stood, and slammed his hands on the table. He glared at Alix with tear-filled eyes. “What do you care? You’re already off with Rose in your little companionship. You’re already moving forward without me, just like everyone else. And you’ll forget me just like everyone else. So, why don’t you just forget you ever saw me here?”
Alix furrowed her brows, then smiled. “Would you look at that. The rabbit has a bite.”
            Luka tilted his head.
“Go on. I’m waiting for you to lash out again.”
“I don’t understand. Why aren’t you mad? Why aren’t you yelling back?”
“Because you’re doing what I would have done. Lash out at the world when the problem is closer at hand than you think. If you’re looking for a fight, I could get Juleka, but you won’t find it here.”
            Luka furrowed his brow.
“Tell you what. Let’s ditch this place. You and I.”
            “What? But Rose and-!”
“They have each other. Besides, you need someone else right now. So, let’s go.”
Luka considered and sighed. He followed Alix as they headed out. They walked along the sidewalk until Alix pulled him into an alley.
“You still have that watch?” Alix asked.
Luka pulled the pocket watch out.
            “Good. Now, say ‘Fluff, clockwise.’”
            “Fluff, clockwise?”
Fluff disappeared into the pocket watch and transformed Luka’s clothes into a white, light blue, and turquoise superhero suit with a light blue and white eyes mask, his teal dyed tips turned light blue, and complete with a cottontail and a pair of white rabbit ears. Luka examined himself as Alix transformed into Bloody Bug.
“I… I didn’t think it true, but it really is, isn’t it?” Luka asked.
“It is. So, what shall I call you, hero?” Bloody Bug asked.
            “Uh, Harlequin?”
Bloody Bug’s mind shot back to the Harlequin she met in the burrow. She smiled and chuckled to herself. “Alright, Harlequin, follow me.”
Bloody Bug leapt up onto the roof with Harlequin following her. She led him through the city to the top of the Eiffel Tower. They each took a seat on the railing.
“So, what’s really going on, Harlequin?”
“I just… a lot of things. Where do I start?”
“How about we start with the bullying and move forward them there?”
“Right. Well, that was heavily impacted because of my empath abilities. Though they were worse when I was younger. It wasn’t like now where I can quiet the music most times. It’s easier with small groups, but I’m learning how to handle large crowds. I still don’t like talking about it because I don’t want to be seen as a freak. So, I just… withdrew into myself. It was easier than facing the world.”
            “But.”
“But it hurt me. I would watch and see all the joy others our age got to experience. A horrible feeling began to take root. It was easy to manage when I was withdrawn, but since Fluff and, well, you, it hasn’t. I had tried to take Fluff with a grain of salt, but it’s difficult when everything she says just strikes my core. Almost like she knows me better than myself.”
            “How so?”
“She’s been able to give me advice to help quell the music of others, how to handle my trauma effectively, and embrace myself. But as I listen to her, I feel myself almost coming undone. Like I’m changing and I don’t like it.”
            “What do you mean?”
“I… I want things I didn’t before and it feels like it’s from that horrible feeling. That it grew and was nurtured to the point I don’t think I can manage it. I just… I see what… I just don’t feel like myself anymore. I don’t feel like Luka, but someone else.”
“Well, perhaps that’s a good thing. No, not perhaps. It is a good thing.”
“How? How is becoming whatever this person better than me? How is anything other than me better?”
“You said it yourself. You were withdrawn, afraid to make connections, no? You had an inkling of what you wanted, but refused it because it was easier to be alone. But in the end, it really isn’t. Eventually you’ll see what that isolation costs you. You’ll see just how alone you are in the end. And no one deserves to be alone.”
“But I don’t like the other feelings that come with it. I don’t feeling that I’m alone while everyone else around me is happy with their friends and loved ones. I don’t like feeling that I’m stuck in the past and that everyone else is moving on without me, leaving me behind. I don’t like feeling that I’m forgotten. I don’t like any of it.”
“Then what do you plan on doing about it?”
            “What?”
“Harlequin, nothing will change unless you take that first step. You don’t like being alone? Make connections. You don’t want to be forgotten? Make yourself known. You don’t want to be left behind in the past? Stop living in it and move forward. I know they’re all easier said than done, but there’s something important you should never forget it.”
            “What’s that?”
“You’re never alone. I’m here. Adrien is here. There are those that care and we want to help you, but we can’t reach you. We’ll only be able to once you allow us to. It was the same way for me. I had people that wanted to help, but they couldn’t really until I allowed them to.”
Harlequin furrowed his brow and looked away.
Bloody Bug smiled, stood, and offered her hand. “What do you say? Shall we take a leap and start a new page?”
Harlequin looked between Bloody Bug and her hand. He hesitated before he reached out and took it. She smiled and pulled him to his feet.
“I’ll always be here, Harlequin. Now and forever.”
            “Promise?”
            “I promise.”
Tears welled in Harlequin’s eyes as he hugged Bloody Bug. “Thank you.”
“C’mon. let’s go find that Andre and get ourselves some ice cream.”
“Isn’t it still a little cold for ice cream?”
Bloody Bug chuckled. “You’ll come to understand. Come, the night is ours. Let’s make the most of it.”

Spirit of Forgetfulness
I called upon Lethe The spirit of forgetfulness I implored her deeply To erase my memory She said "Be careful what you wish for, deary"
"Those waters aren't meant for the living For all you know, I could be a trickster Merciless and unforgiving I might not be your well-wisher"
Lethe dеcided to help me Thе spirit of oblivion She took me to the underworld Among the souls of the dead Where I drank from the river To help me forget

I've had this sitting for a while and It was time. Figured I'd also use it as a chance to practice some background work. Especially underwater stuff. Not my forte, but I want to get better and the only way to get better is through practice.

Knight of Rebellion, Night Blue Pearl
Tumblr media
Y'all will be seeing a plethora of these designs popping up from my SU days. This here is my magnum opus of armor designs. The original thing took me 9 hours to create, including the design, outline, and coloring process. And I just, I love her again. This design was something to some people back then. And she was something to me too.
A knight I created before the fifth season. One that when she formed, was off color from the get go. She was far from subservient, but a rebel without a cause. Until she found one, much like Rose Quartz did. She fought for liberation, sanctuary, and the future.
And here's the original traditional piece

Tales of Bloody Bug and Chat Noir - Chapter 34 - Dark Cupid
Beginning || Previous || Next
            “Happy Valentines Day!” Adrien cheered.
Alix raised a brow as Adrien handed her an assorted bouquet of salmon, deep pink, orange, purple, and lavender. He pushed them closer to her until she took them.
            “Do you like them?”
“They are lovely, but I’ve never seen these type of roses. Well, not often. Do they mean something?”
“I’m glad you asked. The deep pink mean gratitude and appreciation, the lavender that I adore you, purple is for majesty and that I value and look up to you, orange because you mean the world to me and that I’m happy you’re in my life, and salmon is showing admiration but also how much better I’ve become with you in my life.”
Alix’s eyes widened before her face softened. “You are incredibly corny and sentimental, you know that, right?”
            “You love me for it.”
“Unfortunately. Don’t ever change. What’d you get Sabrina?”
            “Oh! Let me show you.”
Adrien pulled out a box with a bizarre necklace like it came from a cartoon.
            “What is that?”
“Rin shared with me one of her favorite magic girl shows and character in it. That character wears this necklace. So, when Rin told me all that and how the necklace was one of the things she loved about the design, I had one made for her.”
“That is sickeningly sweet, you dorks.”
Adrien beamed as he put the necklace up. “I’m going to give it to her at the Valentine’s dance later. Are you still going?”
“I don’t have anyone to go with. And Chloe made it clear that it was a couple or thruple only thing.”
“Well, then you can come with me and Rin.”
“No. I’m third wheeling with you two.”
“But I want you to come.”
“And I appreciate it, but there are just some things that I won’t be able to join you on. Now, let’s get to class.”
Alix stashed the bouquet in her locker before she and Adrien headed up to homeroom. They stopped by the door as they stared at Adrien’s desk that overflowed with small presents and chocolates. He winced at the sight and slowly approached it.
“Uh, why are these all here?”
“Uh, because you’re Adrien Agreste? What girl, or guy, wouldn’t want you as a Valentine?”
“But they don’t know me. Wouldn’t they rather give one to someone they actually want to be with, or like? Not a stranger like me.”
“People work in mysterious ways, Adrien. But, hey, if you want to unload that chocolate, I’m sure Nino and I would be more than happy to help.”
“Of course, dude,” Nino said as he stood beside Adrien.
“Do you even know what we’re talking about?” Alix asked.
“Nope. I heard chocolate and my name. Woah! Adrien, look at you! Quite the ladies man, eh?”
Adrien forced a smile. “I wouldn’t go that far. I really don’t want to accept all these.”
“Not even our stuff?” Rose called out.
“Yeah. We left stuff for you too, but it was buried under everyone else’s,” Mylene added.
“Did you put your names on it?” Alix asked.
“Of course! We wanted Adrien to know how much we care about him. No sense to not put our names,” Rose commented.
“There you go. You can pick out the stuff from your friends and give the rest to Nino and me. Problem solved,” Alix remarked.
“Yeah, dude. Here, I’ll even help. As is my noble duty as your desk bro and best bro in general,” Nino offered.
Adrien smiled and nodded. He and Nino took their seats as Alix took hers. She smiled at the small pile of gifts left by the girls. She neatly put them to the side when she found a small heart-shaped box with no name on it. She assumed it was from Luka and put it with the others. She got ready for the day when Rose tapped her shoulder.
“Hey, Alix, would you have a date for the dance tonight?”
            “Uh, no.”
Rose gasped. “Will you come with me and Juleka?”
Alix furrowed her brows, then raised one as she looked at Juleka. Juleka smiled and nodded.
            “Uh, sure. Why not?”
“Yay! Make sure to meet at Liberty an hour after school so we can all get ready together!”
Rose ran back up to her desk as Chloe and Sabrina walked in. Sabrina jumped around excitedly as she put a large bag on her and Chloe’s desk. Chloe moved Sabrina next to Adrien’s desk as she stood next to the bag.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, Chlo,” Adrien chimed.
“Yes, yes. You too. I have something very special for you, Adrikins.”
Adrien’s eyes widened. “What did you get me?”
Chloe opened the bag and rummaged through it. She carefully pulled out a stuffed cat toy that looked like Adrien. She turned and handed it to him. His eyes widened as they misted over. He scooped up the stuffed toy and nuzzled it.
“I love it, Chlo. Thank you.”
Chloe beamed as she reached into her bag and handed a dog stuffed toy dressed like Sabrina to Sabrina. She gasped and mirrored Adrien’s reaction. Chloe took a deep breath as she reached into the bag again, pulled out a rabbit stuffed toy that looked like Alix, and gave it to Alix. Alix pursed her lips as she stared at herself as a stuffed animal.
“I’m mad that I love this. Damn you, Chloe,” Alix remarked.
Chloe smirked and held her head high before she turned to her bag one final time. She pulled out a stuffed bear that looked like Mylene and gave it to her. Mylene covered her mouth as tears rimmed her eyes.
            “For me?”
            “Well, who else?”
            “But why?”
Chloe hugged herself and looked away. “You know. That reason.”
Mylene cried as she smiled. She fanned herself as she tackled Chloe in a hug. Chloe forced a smile as she patted Mylene’s head. The bell rang and everyone took their seats. Everyone moved through the day until the last bell rang. Adrien and Alix grabbed their things and headed to their homes to see Kagami waiting outside. Alix sneered and stood between Kagami and Adrien.
“Buzz off, bitch. You’ve no reason to be here any longer.”
“On the contrary, I do, for several reasons. Adrien, your cousin, tell him to cease his displays of misguided affection.”
            “What do you mean?”
Kagami took out her phone. She showed Adrien the messages she had received from Felix asking her about her day, attempting to make small talk, and just to say hi. She left her messages to show Adrien the pictures of gifts left by Felix for her that included him swinging by, all dressed up, asking her to the Valentine dance tonight.
“Do you have any idea what I’ve been through because of your cousin? His silly words, stupid gestures, and everything is distracting me! Tell him to stop.”
Adrien furrowed his brow. “No. You tell him to stop if it bothers you so much.”
            “I… can’t!”
            “And why not?
Tears rimmed Kagami’s eyes. “Because… because I don’t want him to. Because I like all the little, silly things he does. Because my thoughts are about him and not you. Because I want to spend time with him instead of you. I want to be near him and not stuck with you. And I can’t let that happen, so tell him to stop!”
“No. Kagami, we’ll never be anything. I don’t care what Gabriel and your mother arranged. I will never love you like that. Not when my heart belongs to another.”
“Would you stop thinking about yourself, you selfish brat? This isn’t just about you. This is about what our parents want. I already failed because of you and this tiny delinquent. I will not fail because of your amazing cousin and all his sweet nothings. I can’t. I just can’t. What kind of daughter would I be if I-?”
Kagami stopped mid-sentence as her breath caught. She dropped to her knees as her heart sped up and her breathing became short and ragged. Cold dread gripped Alix as she realized what was happening.
“Adrien, we need to get her somewhere else, now!” Alix hissed.
            “What? Why?”
“Fucking look at her! She’s having a fucking panic attack!”
Adrien’s eyes widened as he looked back down at Kagami.
“C’mon. Let’s get her somewhere that’s not here. Preferably somewhere private,” Alix urged.
“Can we head home?” Adrien asked.
Alix inhaled, then nodded. She helped Adrien get Kagami into the car before they headed off. They hurried Kagami out as they arrived at the Louvre to Alix’s home. They stepped inside and sat Kagami on the couch where she curled up into a tight ball. Alix moved around to get ready while Adrien sat with Kagami.
“Kagami? Are you… are you ok?”
“You ask that now after I just embarrassed myself in front of you and the delinquent because I was too weak to keep my feelings away. Mother would be disappointed in me.”
“Kagami, you don’t have to follow your mother’s orders.”
“Yes, I do. I come from a long line of samurai women that followed orders because they chose to. And, like Mother before me, I must do the same. It is simply how things are, and nothing can change that.”
“That’s not true. Kagami, you can change things. Especially if what you want doesn’t align with what your mother wants.”
“How dare you! You would suggest I forsake everything? That I abandon my heritage, my orders, my own mother, and all for what? Some boy that looks like you with his sappy poetry, sincere heart, and innocent gestures?”
“No. I suggest you forsake everything for your happiness. If Felix is part of that, then by all means, but I would rather see you happy than miserable.”
Kagami laughed. “Yeah, right. What do you care about my happiness?”
“Because I still care about you. I may not love you like a partner, but I love you like a friend. And I hate that I can’t be friends with you so long as you blindly follow your mother’s orders. Especially when it’ll just bring you heartache because I will never stop fighting, Kagami. This is my life, and I will live it how I want. Not how other people dictate. I’ve already lived like that, and it was the most miserable time of my life. If you must continue to follow orders and bind yourself to me, then I hope you get used to the feeling of failure.”
Kagami clenched up. She opened her mouth to yell but shut it before she raged and screamed in Japanese in a mini tantrum. Alix ran down and stopped at the scene.
“What the hell happened?” Alix asked.
“Nothing! Just, take me home,” Kagami demanded.
“Right. Adrien, could you drop me off at Liberty? I’ll be joining Rose and Juleka to the dance tonight.”
Adrien’s jaw dropped that led to a smile. “You are? That’s amazing! I’ll go let Gorilla know.”
Alix and Kagami watched Adrien run out before Kagami spoke.
“They are too good for someone like you,” Kagami hissed.
“Yeah, well, they asked and, hell, why not? At least I’m taking a chance. Unlike you.”
“Can it! I don’t want to hear anything from a causeless rebel like you. I have my orders and they are clear. I’m supposed to be with Adrien, not his sweet cousin. Got it?”
“Suit yourself. Enjoy blindly following orders and letting life slip by while Adrien enjoys his. When the regret finally sinks in, remember this moment.”
Alix left Kagami as she stepped outside. She headed for Adrien’s car with Kagami following after her. She glanced back at Kagami when she heard wings flapping. She looked up to see Kim in a red and black villain suit, large wings, a purple brooch, and a bow and arrow.
“Hello, Alix. I’ve been looking for you.”
            “Kim? Is that you?”
“Kim is long gone. Call me, Dark Cupid!”
“Wonderful. What the fuck happened to you?”
“You, that’s what! Chloe rebuffed my affections in favor of you. We’ll see how much she wants you when your heart is as black as mine!”
Alix braced herself when a lasso ensnared and constricted Dark Cupid. She looked past him at Outlaw and Gallic Chick. Her eyes widened as Outlaw reeled in Dark Cupid and she beat the shit out of him. Gallic Chick snuck in and took the brooch off of Dark Cupid while Outlaw continued her assault.
Gallic Chick spoke to Outlaw in English before she destroyed the brooch, used Sublimation, and unmade the Akuma, purifying it.
“Woah. I thought only Chat Noir and Bloody Bug could destroy those nasty bugs,” Alix remarked.
“Oh, uh, fine print? You can thank Outlaw for pointing out some of these things. Anyway, please forgive this annoyance. Uh, he got a little upset when he was turned down,” Gallic Chick explained.
Alix crossed her arms. “And how was he turned down?”
Gallic Chick flinched. “Well, there might have been some yelling. And there might have been some words tossed around that this boy is an idiot baboon that can’t take a hint. And that a certain girl with dyed hair was better than the said baboon. And that the baboon would never be loved by anyone.”
Alix pinched the bridge of her nose.
Kagami tsked. “Are you sure it wasn’t Alix who was breaking his heart? Sure sounds like it.”
“At least I can acknowledge when someone likes me rather than running like a damn coward.’
Kagami snarled as she grabbed Alix. “I am a Tsurugi! We are not cowards! We are warriors!”
Alix laughed. “Some warrior to run and hide because a boy makes her feel weird with all his sweet nothings. I may not be a noble warrior, but at least I can handle a boy.”
            “What about Luka?” Adrien asked.
            “Luka?” Gallic Chick screeched.
Kagami and Adrien raised a brow at Gallic Chick’s reaction while Alix shot her a warning glare. Gallic Chick shrank and laughed nervously.
“Right. Well, I’ll take care of this boy. Uh, good day, citizens.”
Alix, Adrien, and Kagami watched Gallic Chick and Outlaw leave with Kim. Alix shook her head and turned to Adrien.
“That’s different. I don’t have Luka leaving me gifts, writing sonnets, or making any move on me. I would hope not since I was sure he and Marinette were dating. The moment that Luka says something to me, then I’ll address it. However, there is no point in bringing up speculation now.”
“But do you really want to leave Luka in the hands of Marinette? What if she’s not the right person for him?” Adrien asked.
Alix shrugged. “Not my place. Luka is free to date who he wants. And if it’s a mistake, then he makes a mistake. Simple as that. Again, at least I’m not running like the coward here.”
“I’m. Not. A. Coward! I’ll show you too.”
“Yeah, right. What’re you going to do, coward?”
           “I’ll show you!”
Kagami took out her phone. Alix and Adrien watched as she sent a message, then held up her phone. Alix and Adrien smirked seeing the demanding message Kagami sent Felix that they were going to the dance together.
            “How’s that, delinquent?”
“Man, you showed me. I hope you and Felix have fun tonight.”
Kagami’s face fell. She looked back at her phone as the panic set in.
“No. No! I can’t! I can’t! Mother will be disappointed. Adrien, please, you have to tell Felix I made a mistake. You have to tell him that we aren’t going together.”
Adrien shrugged. “Sorry, Kagami. You’ll have to tell him yourself. I have to head home and get ready for the dance myself. Alix, shall we?”
            “Let’s. See you later, Kagami.”
Adrien and Alix left Kagami and stepped into the car. Adrien glanced back at Kagami as she collapsed on the ground, staring out in disbelief.
“You think she’ll be ok?” Adrien asked.
“I don’t know. There’s a lot she needs to work through before something gives. If reason doesn’t work, maybe this might?”
“I hope so. I miss having her as a friend.”
“Well, here’s to hope. And for tonight with you and Rin. I better see you two making it official by the end of the night.”
Adrien smiled and blushed. “I hope to. If I chicken out, will you come slap sense into me? I really don’t want to miss this perfect chance.”
“You know it. I’ll always be there for you.”
“Thank you. And good luck with whatever is going on with you, Rose, and Juleka.”
Alix waved her hand dismissingly. “That’s nothing. Probably just invited me because whatever Rose has concocted. Whatever the case, I’ll be sure to live it up.”
            “Hey, don’t leave me out.”
“I never could. We’re in this together.”
            “Forever?”
            “Always.”

Ideas for the weapons:
Double ax(ladybug and butterfly)
Japanese fan(butterfly and peacock)
Batbag(ladybug and bee)
Spear(butterfly and bee)
I like all these, the only one I wouldn't do is the Japanese fan for the butterfly and peacock as thanks to @generalluxun, I'll be going with a chinese spear for that fused weapon.

What is the goat x ladybug concept and power because I think the genesis power is literally creation while lucky charm
Is more of a luck based power.
Funny enough, I've already revealed the concept for the ladybug and goat fusion in a post teasing two new fusions in the future. But, just to say it here and now, its concept is Recreation. As for powers, y'all will find out when I get around to the design.

Random Art Prompt (you don't draw this if you don't want to, I just want to see artists' thoughts when they hear these prompts):
Fruits as Vampires
I've been sitting on this for a while and my dumbass can only think of the fruits with silly cloaks, no eyes, and all smiling with fangs.

Ladybug + tiger = jaguar
Ladybug + dog = Dalmatian
Mouse + pig = hamster
I like them, but I do tend to try and stay away from certain families or species when it comes to the fusions. I only use say a canine if the two miraculous fusing are also from the canine family. Same with others like the peacock and butterfly and what made it the hardest fusion yet.
