Another thing that makes kaladin so painfully relatable is how much his mental illness hides his personality, because between depressive episodes and trauma he's this sarcastic little shit that smiles a lot at his friends and then the depression gets to him and all that disappears

#I'm dreading book 4 so much #my depression got worse while reading it the first time 😭#also I don't remember exactly what but multiple times he says stuff that i think too often and having a fictional character say that l #ridiculous stuff caused by mental illness made me feel even worse #it helped! because it hit me how stupid it is and that i should avoid that type of thinking at all costs! but didn't i feel like shit for a #while #now i almost finished book 1 and book 2 has Shallan's past 😬😬😬😬😬#can't wait to read again about her horrible childhood locked home with a violent father that take out his rage at her on others #that won't make me feel horrible at all!#it's not like i wasn't almost crying just at her getting an anxiety attack at the beginning #....these books feels awfully aimed at me fjskdks #the stormlight archive #cosmere

As good as it can be to try and figure out "why" we feel a certain way and how to fix it, sometimes there isn't really an answer.

Trying to make up reasons for that feeling can be a lot more painful than just allowing yourself to feel something.

It's difficult, especially when you're trying to develop your understanding of yourself and recover, but over analysing and ruminating doesn't always help.

Give yourself some time to just, feel without trying to fix it.

#i used to spend a lot of time getting overwhelmed by minor things because its easier to say oh i feel bad because xyz #and that made me feel so much worse!#obviously there is neaunce to this #but for me sometimes I'm just depressed because I have depression and thats just how my brain is #recovery #feelings #self acceptance

like i need her to lash out at every single adult around her for not carring for her pa or her (looking at phil who offered to care for pomme and dapper when he wouldnt for sunny on tubbos Confirmed death), for no one taking her pa seriously, for taking things from them, from her pa until there was nothing left of him.

i need her to lash out at the adults for never seeing her pa hurting and thinking it wasnt serious, i need her to lash out in peoples faces how she had said they were worried for her pa and the adults just said hes like that or he'll get better and he didn't

i want her to lash out and reveal that tubbo said to her he felt more seen and cared about by a fed worker who was learning to have emotions than from any islander around

i want her to burn things, even if not a house and just a wood she placed down to set fire, i want her to do that, i want her to blow things up and lash out and be heard

cuz if being a good girl for her pa ends with them unheard and him dead then she will be heard now and once this thing called Creation gets her pa back to her, she is not letting him go

if any of the adults who didnt do anything to get him back cared for him in life and cared just a bit in death, they dont deserve to see her pa back again, he is sunny's and sunny's alone

i want sunny to spew vitrol and fire and to lash out at everyone, she deserves to go on a murderous rampage too as a treat

Occasionally I think about how in TWEWY, Beat and Rhyme have a memorial for their accident put there by people who knew them.

And Shiki has people (or at least Eri that we see) clearly mourning her death.

But Neku has...nothing. No memorial. No people thinking about this 14 yo kid that got shot and died quietly alone in a back alley with no one to help him. It was just cleaned up and nothing is left to show that he was even there.

I understand it's likely this way to help with the plot twist(s) but it really does hammer home how Neku really had no one before the start of twewy.

At least he has people that remember him later...

god. we're fucked. we're actually genuinely completely fucked. my mother just said she got her paycheck cut. in january she's only receiving half her paycheck and in february she's not getting anything. all that we have is going to rent or we'll be homeless and that's it. we don't have money. for absolutely anything. we dont know how we're gonna pay the bills. i dont know what to do
