jacob & barbara: “have you ever been with a woman?” “have you?”

"have you ever been with a woman?" she asked the question while picking through weed root and dead leaves that had blown into their garden. jacob knew something was wrong, she has barely spoken and what had worried him more was that she hadn't hummed or sung once.

"have you?" he returns with raised eyebrows. this catches her attention and causes her to chuckle when she looks up and remembers who she is talking too. "i'm sorry, jacob." removing her glove and covering her face.

"no no. what's brought this on?" he leans back into the garden knowing that barbara likes talking while she gardens because no eye contact is expected - he can't see her mask when it falls.

"i've never felt this way. before gerald or with him. i've known her for 20 years and yet here we are in a honeymoon phase. one that doesn't feel like it will ever end." she rolls the silver ring on her finger that replaced her wedding ring. melissa bought her new rings last month having noticed how uncomfortable being without a ring there made her.

"then maybe, it isn't a honeymoon phase." although he stopped gardening he doesn't look up, "i don't have to have experience with women to know that some love doesn't have limits."

One thing I’m really looking forward to seeing is how they convince Percy not to join Luke. Up until the end of episode 4, Percy doesn’t have any faith in his dad or the other gods. He resents them all for abandoning their kids and doesn’t like their excuses. He is disgusted by how Athena treats Annabeth. He detests the whole claiming system and that the gods can just choose to claim them if they feel like it. And he is also being actively targeted by Zeus. What will be the turning point for him to not join Luke?

My favorite thing about Buck and Athena's relationship is that they are NOT mother-son in the way Buck and Bobby are father-son but they are something better which is endlessly devoted to the same person and that means that they've formed their own relationship via the Bobby Nash Property and that's beautiful in itself.

do y'all ever think about the fact that bobby is literally chris' grandpa? like yeah, bobby is a father figure to buck. but buck is also chris' second dad.

If I ever write a no powers au it is going to be a who dunnit about Zeus’s death because literally everyone has a motive and now since everyone is mortal everyone has the means to murder him.

Murder suspects

Athena- Believes that Zeus is running the company inefficiently and if he just listened to her everything would be fixed. Once tried to take over the Olympian Holdings. Her alibi is completely air tight like she knew this would happen…

Hades- Zeus once tried to harm his lover. Rival business owners.

Posideon- Extreme brotherly rivalry and also rival business owner.

Apollo- Recently disowned son who has taken his disowning suspiciously well… has the medical know how to pull off some interesting stuff. Second most likely to be framed.

Hera- We all know her motive. And you know what she deserves to kill him at this point

Luke- trying to destroy Olympian Holdings for its shady business practices and has his own complicated ties to the Olympian family.

Ares- Recently written out of the will for doing something stupid. Has a gun at all times. Most likely to be framed.

Hermes- Zeus’s aid for a ridiculous amount of time with no career advancement. Has info on the other suspects that he is very willing to share. Has recently been in hot water with Zeus over the actions of his son Luke.

Thalia and Jason Grace- Zeus’s bastard children who are set to inherit a lot of his money.

I have no idea who the detective would be since there isn’t an unbiased demigod with the intelligence to deal with this mess. Tempted to have the detectives be Percy and Annabeth. Will Solace would also make a great medical consultant.

in my heart of hearts mike wheeler is absolutely an athena kid but i also have to offer up a concept that i think has extreme comedic and dramatic potential aka: repressed gay teenager mike showing up at camp half blood unsure of who his godly parent is and feeling insecure about not having powers and one day when he’s making not-so-secret heart eyes at his best friend and son of apollo will byers is when a bunch of glowing floating hearts show up above his head. and that’s how mike gets claimed by none other than aphrodite, the goddess of love and sexuality, and is in full denial about it for three days because he thinks it’s some kind of sick and twisted JOKE

(on aphrodite’s end, she’s upset mike is throwing away the gift of true love and keeps trying to trick him out of repression by making more and more improbable and hilarious gifts appear when he and will are hanging out. mike hands will a book and it turns into a box of chocolates and he has to fling it away like a frisbee before will sees it. they’re having lunch and romantic music starts playing. she gives mike the same blessing she used to claim piper and will can’t even look in his direction for a full day because he starts blushing so hard. fifty bouquets of flowers show up at the apollo cabin’s doorstep with a note that says love, mike and by the end of it, mike isn’t even repressed and unsure about his sexuality anymore — he’s just trying to not throw himself into the bonfire out of sheer embarrassment)

#also shoutout to piper mclean bc i think her arc of not believing she is an aphrodite kid bc she doesn’t fit the model for it and having #been teased and made an outcast of sorts kind of jaded her and made her actively rebel against being an aphrodite kid #i just think that is very mike wheeler of her #n then she spends five books learning what love means and what being an aphrodite kid means #again. very mike. to Me #credits to abby bc i said ‘what if mike shows up at chb and he is repressed and gay and immediately gets claimed by iris the rainbow goddess #and she said i see this and raise you aphrodite #and i said oh my fucking god.#anyways might write this. ava groans when the light is turned on.

"I'm trying to sleep here!"

janine stands by the wall a slightly disappointed look on her face, "i know. that's why i did it."

ava curls her lip in a sneer, "i'm too tired. let me sleep."

with a shake of her head, janine walks over and hands ava the cup of coffee she made and the sugar from the lounge. ( she warned everyone to get the sugar they wanted before she left knowing they likely wouldn't be getting it back. )

"no, ava. you have to send those evals in today."

ava stares at the coffee before grabbing it and the sugar and begins pouring, "i didn't get any sleep, janine."

"and who's fault is that? you've seen it before, you could have waited one more day. especially since i would have been there."

janine has very little sympathy for her girlfriend's state of tired given they had planned to watch wakanda forever together thursday night but ava just had to watch it the night it dropped.

"i will not pass up angela in the mcu especially will -"

"since you were robbed of her as storm. yes, i know."

"see you get it!" finally the sugar stops moving.

janine exhales, walking around the desk and kissing her hand to place it on ava's forehead, "have a good day, ava. i'll see you tonight."

ava smiles watching her leave as she picks up her coffee. its not until she spots the camera that she scrunches her nose and wipes her forehead. no one has been fooled.

Piper: Sure Percy totally beat the god of war

Oh yeah story idea: percy Jackson reaches his emotional/mental limits) (annabeth gets knocked down during a huge fight and nearly gets killed) and goes absolutely ape. We're talking hurricanes, earthquakes, a zillion exploding water sources, blood bending, poison bending, pounding rain, the works.

And it starts to kill him. Like eating too much ambrosia, his mortal body is burning up, too much power too quickly.

But through sheer force of will and the amount of divine energy he's putting out, he keeps clinging on as his body crumbles to ash, divine power building stronger and stronger and higher and higher.

And he accidentally brute forces his way into godhood.

And what would have been a true power reveal and two deaths, Percy being punished for his strength ala Frank, abruptly becomes a pseudo divine political drama, with percy at risk of any dozen horrific fates the frenzied council are slinging around (minus poseidon, who is also frenzied but unwilling to let his newly immortal son die) whilst dealing with all the ramifications of divinity and the new social strata of the immortal pantheon (and EVERYONE having opinions), all while trying to get back home.

But Annabeth survives because of it, so he can't really complain.

The feminine urge to rewrite the heroes of Olympus series (specifically SON) and make it sadder (and more angsty)

Like Percy without Annabeth would go batshit insane right? Or should I say Perseus would go insane.

The whole Percy memory thing is kinda glanced over. He gets his memories back by MOA. The second he sees his Annie he’s okay. And then we’re done with it.

But what if it didn’t work like that? He loves Annabeth that bond hera wont break. But he doesn’t know everything about her. He knows thats his entire world. But he doesn’t know why.

Jason didn’t know about the legion. Or any of his time there. He still doesn’t have all his memories about that despite going home.

Why does Percy get that?

Imagine Him doing a move and leo being like “where’d you learn that?” And he just blanks, Luke’s name slipping from his brain.

Him back at camp, seeing someone (like clariesse or Katie. Not his best friend but they’ve definitely talked.) and them being happy he’s okay, and he just doesn’t know them. Them trying to remind him who they are. And he just doesn’t know.

Percy getting his Achilles curse memories back, and he doesn’t remember that its gone. Going headfirst into battle, unaware of the potential for injuries.

Percy hearing sally make a mean joke about gabe and he just doesn’t know who he is. He knows he hates alcohol. But not why.

Percy not remembering everything.

He knows what hurts but not why it does.

Yeah heroes of Olympus but sad
