I saw a post a while back responding to criticism of botw as being "a good game but not a good zelda game", and they responded with how the Zelda Formula was getting tired and stale and botw was a response to that, that it was meant to harken back to the original zelda game where it just drops you in and it makes you find everything on yr own. which like is fine and good and all but. you do know that the original zelda had 8 full unique (as unique as they could be on the nes) dungeons right. the original zelda game had dungeon items. they didn't need to take out one of zeldas defining gameplay aspects and replace it with the fundamentally inferior shrines and divine beasts. you can make a game non linear and refresh its gameplay without taking out one of the series' strongest aspects.
#I saw it ages ago and haven't really stopped thinking about it#there's no way you can ever try to tell me that shrines r superior to dungeons no way#shrines are short. dull. all use the same assets and same theming. theres no room to work on and develop concepts#some concepts r developed across multiple shrines but bc the order you find shrines in is different every time it still doesnt work#divine beasts r fucking disappointing. they're the actual dungeons but they're abt as long as a mini dungeon and as boring as the shrines#they at least have the set pieces of taking place on giant moving mechs going for them. but inside they're all the same#the bosses are visually all the same#you can make a good zelda game w only four dungeons majoras mask is RIGHT THERE. but mm also has sidequests and a strong story and#strong characters that aren't already dead that you actually give a shit about#romani ranch and the. I can't remember his name. kafe or whatever the fuck his quest was so interesting#the only quest botw has that comes anywhere near as close to it in quality is tarrey town and the actual GAMEPLAY side of that quest is-#just chop down trees and gather x amount of wood#like multiple people I know who played botw didn't even want to actually fight the final boss/only fought the final boss out of boredom#that's not good!!!! when people aren't invested enough in your story to even fucking beat it that's not a good sign!!!!!#mmmmm don't get me wrong. botw is a good game. it's fun to explore and traverse that world. its physics and chemistry systems r insane#but this is why people say it's a good game but not a good zelda game bro 😭 I want more than 2 types of dungeons#botw is a game im very conflicted on I think it's fascinating. but I've only played it thru fully once#anytime I try to come back to it it can never really regain my attention fully#some of that absolutely has to do with adhd but some of that also has to do with the fact that it's not a rewarding game to play-#for me after a certain point. I've seen everything there is to see and that's really the only compelling thing it offers#ocarina of time and twilight princess and majoras mask all offer me cool boss fights and compelling stories#THAT'S a reason to come back. botw I think I need another 5 years to forget everything about it before I can come back#that last point has more to do with me than an inherent problem with the game#... but it's still the only game in the series (that I've played) that has that problem#again. I like botw. it was phenomenal the first 200 hours. I hope tok is more like what I want from a zelda game though#need to stop putting the entire post in the tags goddamn#espeon cries

haikyu characters reacting to you screaming back at them
sorry , I changed the characters I went with originally for this but , this is to thank everyone for 500 followers !
tsukishima
- he would only scream at you if his comments of telling you to shut up weren’t working
- then he’d just get pissed off because hey ? how else can he tell you to shut up in a nice way except
“ y/n “ you perked up as you looked at the blonde to the left of you on the bench “ look at me “
you smiled softly eyes never meeting his as he stared ahead not turning to look at you “ tsukki how can you tell me to look at you — then you don’t look at me“ your laugh rang out in the gym loud enough for him to hear and for his body to tighten reminding him why he was pissed off right now
His head turning to you smile spread across his face tightly, eyes roaming your face until he spoke voice holding a tone that rivaled the sweet look on his face “ I swear on hinata and the kings freaky quick y/n —if I hear your laugh one more time i’m going to suffocate you and pound you in the head with a volleyball “
your eyes widened as you turned away from the male “ no no no turn back around baby i’m not done yet “
you followed his words hanging on every word as he continued “ you’ve been chewing my ear off all fucking practice and i’m —look it’s pissing me off you talk talk talk and I really doubt “
he shook his head turning away from you “ if you even know what your saying at this point “ he scoffed “ cause I don’t “
The gym went quiet as everyone started to listen to the argument happening next to them him never stopping the vile words that spilled out from his mouth “ I doubt anytime you speak really if your even talking about something important or if you simply just wanna “ he shrugged his shoulders “ talk“
His mouth quirked up in smirk “ honestly would rather hear pipsquek over there talk about the little giant ten times a day than hear you speak at all “
you dropped your eyes to look at the floor him not trying to stop you only thanking god for the peace and quiet head leaning back to look up to the ceiling in thanks
tanakas voice coming out loud as his anger bounced off the wall of the gym “ you have a beautiful s/o like that and you bully them “ he scoffed mumbling under his breath in pure annoyance “ i’ll show you a bully beanstalk “
daichis hand slapped across tanakas chest like a seatbelt “ you do not need to partake in this trust me your not needed “
“ oi tanaka-san i’ve got your back bro “ nishinoyas small body stomped through the gym as he smiled wickedly at tsukishima only to be grabbed and pulled into daichis hold his small body tucked under daichis arm as he flailed around screaming out small profanities
“ there’s no need becau—- “
“ y’know if you want to hear hinata talk about how he was going to reward you tonight because, of your amazing test score then “ you smiled looking forward “ really go ahead —I don’t mind less work for me “
You giggled softly “ honestly , i’d have thought you’d rather receive your surprise from me but, I always knew you had a thing for him since you make fun of him constantly—he’s always on your mind seriously even when we were watching a movie you’ll bring up something stupid he did at practice “ tsukishimas mouth let out short breaths of air trying to find words to stop you
“hinata—I swear he’s got a boy crush on you “ you could feel the male next to you now eyeing you in disgust and holding even more anger than he had earlier
hinatas body rippled as he waved his body around excitedly thinking of your words really just happy to be included “ YOU DO” his face dropping quickly when he started thinking finally registering your words “ tsukki — TSUKII YOUR A GUY YOU HAVE A —“ he coughed regaining himself chest puffed out as he spoke clear with meaning
“well while I do appreciate the admiration i’d like to say — you have a partner and I don’t really feel very comfo— “
“ YOU DUMBASS THEIR JUST JOKING “ kageyamas voice raced through the room as he slapped hinatas head hard enough that sent him straight to the gym floor eyes rolling back in his head tears leaking out slowly
“ you may continue y/n-senpai we—we all give you“ kageyamas eyes twinkled in love before they went cold tsukishimas own eyes rolling with a small scoff “ and shittyshima our attention”
you turned to look at your boyfriend mock confusion on your face “ god tsukki you should have just told me you liked hinata better I would have let you go then “ you shook your head as he scoffed at your next words your face falling to sadness eyes searching his pure disappointment laced throughout your voice
“ and here I thought you were a big boy capable of dating someone older but I guess “ he was starting to get pissed off of course he could handle you how dare you say he couldn’t “ I guess your not capable of it “
“ I am capable “ he said softly turning to you who did exactly what he did moments ago and ignored the heartbroken look held in the eyes that drilled into your side “ i’m fully capable of listening to you y/n I swear “
you smirked never meeting his gaze “ y’know what here let’s do this “ your smile went wide as you zipped up your jacket and turned while reaching into your backpack
“ what—what are you doing “ his voice was low watching your hands gracefully open the bag and pull out a piece of strawberry cake “ wait— you—you got that for me because of my—”
“ no” you laughed “ no— of course I didn’t get this for you what would make you think of that tsukishima “
his heart dropping “ tsukishima—wha—y/n wheres tsu—“
“I got this for my boyfriend who loves to hear me talk and knows how to say things nicely “
“ but—-but that’s me so you did—you got it for me ?“
you laughed “ no this “ you pointed to the cake “ this is what that person deserved—that nice guy— but this“ your hand moved to open the container as you threw it in his face smooshing his head into it and pulling your hand back as he moved to scoop the icing from his eyes
“ this is for assholes “ you giggled “ like yourself“ you closed the container and moved your hands to set it next to him taking your finger and dipping it into the icing that covered his nose to lick it off your finger as you kissed the now ‘un-iced’ part of his nose
Head moving to whisper in his ear “ you pull some shit like that again and i’m leaving your ass you dont talk to me like that — i’m not yams do you understand me “
“ yes “ his answer was short and low but you knew he understood you as he moved to take his glasses off watching through blurry eyes as you left the gym
Daichi dropping a wide eyed nishinoya to the ground and letting go of his grip on a mouth foaming tanaka “ the reason I said you guys didn’t need to help is because — I trust that y/n knows how to handle a situation like that on their own “ he laughed “ how else would they be dating our wonderfully polite first year if they couldn’t take him “
Your head popped back in the gym as you winked over at the boy knowing he couldn’t see it. Body stopping in a halt while cleaning his glasses you were right he couldn’t see you but he could feel you were there —he could feel something evil lurking changing the air in the once breathable room silently cursing himself out in his head for talking to you the way he did earlier “ oh yeah and guys “
everyone turned to you as he muttered out a low fuck “ tsukishima — your star shit talker yeah—he wears dino undies “ you smiled brightly “ with matching socks “
You turned to hinata already knowing what he was going to ask when you left “no you can’t —he and yams already have matching pairs “ you turned to yams his face red and slowly moving away from everyone else in embarrassment “ sorry babes’—one goes down you all go down together “
the door slamming echoed throughout the gym as everyone went quiet kageyamas voice the first to come out as he tried to stifle his laughs, Coach ukai laughing softly before catching himself and screaming at tsukishima to clean himself and his bench up, the team turning away as nishinoya and tanaka defeated the rest of the boys ego in comments asking how many pairs he had while hinata asked if he ever wanted to match he and yams could go shopping for the taller male.
Yamaguchi to the boys rescue as he watched him clean off his glasses and throw them back on. Tsukishimas hand only reaching out to his side with a low sigh to eat the remaining bit of cake youd just smashed in his face “ god — so perfect “
Suna
-he would get so upset if you keep annoying him about trying. it goes with or for anything
-you would be telling him could he at least put a bit more effort into the relationship and he’d spazz
-or even you telling him the reason you had to drag him out tonight was because, there was no food at home and he would get mad assuming you just wanted to take him from the comfort of his own home
The quiet was loud and spoke for itself as you and the male before you sat across from each other in the restaurants booth. The air swirling in and out of your ear as you waited for him to say something.
Your eyebrows furrowed before you opened your mouth to speak “ bab- “
“ I didn’t want to come out tonight “
your face fell as you waited for him to continue speaking only for him to go deadly silent, uninterested gaze stuck on yours, his body relaxed and leaned down into the booth head thrown back to show off his half lidded eyes. His legs outstretched under the table god he looked so lazy.
Your mind raced thinking how was it even possible to look lazy In public
Your mouth tucked into itself before you let it go a small sigh leaving it “ suna there was no foo— “
“ I wanted to eat at home “ even though he looked relaxed you could tell his voice was tense.
You could feel your body losing itself at his behavior he was such a child when he didn’t get what he wanted and when he was forced outside. Throwing tantrums and whining any time you brung him shopping or stayed out too long and he would start to miss his houses comfort
Your weight getting pulled into the ground to a pit of anxiety. you just wanted to disappear you knew he was leading you down the trail of his attitude.
One more time that’s all it would take one more question , statement, anything spoken and he would snap.
It wasn’t often that it happened but when it did it wasn’t pretty
you heard the scoff that left his mouth as his eyes widened a bit before going back to their half lidded state causing you to shift in your chair uncomfortably
“ so you figured it out — “ he laughed softly “ so now instead of speaking your mind like usual your gonna try to stop the argument before it starts “
he smiled “ neat game “
His arms came down on the table in a huff his face showing a small smirk before it dropped “ gotcha baby —i’ll play —look who’s coming over here “
“ HI, what can I get you guys today “ the lady smiled at you as you dropped your head shaking it carefully already knowing what was going to take place
“ would you two like to start off wit-“
“ how about we start with nothin—“
“ suna “ your voice was warning
“ what “ you heard the challenge laced in his own as he spoke again“ is there something you wanted to do ? or maybe had your mind set on doing ? somewhat like myself ? “
“ maybe — maybe I should come back “ the woman moved to leave your boyfriend voice deep “ don’t move “
you snapped your face to look at him warning him to stop he was enjoying this he knew you couldn’t touch him or even come close. You wouldn’t dare not in public.
“ y’know what I do want to order “ he smirked turning to face the lady who was a bit taken back at the male her body heating up when she saw his smile you knew she had a crush
“ I just wanted to know “ here it comes “ what do you like ? is there anything you recommend “
he laughed moving to lean back against the seat “ on the menu that is— I mean I don’t think your eatable—or at least while working you aren’t so , i’ll suffice for right now “
you scoffed he’s always so cheesy “ well I uh “
“ please leave “ your voice was small “ just go please“
“ I am sorry “ she shook her head noticing your eyes holding a bit of annoyance before running off to a new table
“ who the hell gave you permission to take my fun from me”
“ suna your doing all of this because you didn’t want to leave the house “ you deadpanned “ seriously babe? “
“ don’t limit my problems like that “ he whispered looking around “ your making me look stupid “
“ because it is “
“ no it’s not “ he got louder “ the fuck if it is — your always dragging me somewhere that I don’t want to go I was fine on the couch we had food at home what more did we need ? we didn’t have to come out tonight y/n you just wanted to be extra and fancy“ his voice was raised higher than you’d ever heard it making you remember you two weren’t in the confinement of your own house
“ you just want to annoy the shit out of me yet again like you don’t do that enough. Everyday it’s constant nagging ‘ suna you’ve been in the house for 2 days , suna you never go out unless it’s volley , suna , suna , suna—god you never seem to shut the fuck up unless i’m throwing money at you like a stripper “
you laughter to yourself quietly before he huffed “ we had food at home “
your eyes darted out as you looked around you peoples bodies turning to stare at your table a bit shaken by the males screams “ look at you — wont even admit it — you just like putting on this fake face acting like staying at home is so bad “
he moved to grab his phone harshly off the table scooting out the booth “ fuck this — brought me out the house to eat this crap when I could’ve made a sandwich unnecessary money — unnecessary trip “
his body froze a shudder moving over his body as his gaze went soft at the ground. Legs jumpy but unmoving as his mind raced eyes peering down at the grip you held on his wrist
“ sit the fuck “ your eyes crisp and sharp on his own “ down“ him not even waiting for you to finish before he slid back into the booth body going slack to show the others watching the drama unfold that he didn’t care that his s/o just ripped his image to shreds with three words
“ why are you doing all this huh ? “
his voice was steady “ because I wanted to eat—eat at home I said this “ he shook his head trying to laugh away the obviously tense air that was roaming throughout the restaurant due to your cold demeanor
“ tell me suna “ his name sounded foreign on your tounge when you spit it back out at him mocking the way he said it earlier “ what were you going to eat “
“ a— a sandwich “
“ baby—with what bread ? “
his mind stalled before the gears started again except steering him backwards to think back to earlier “ I—I didn’t see any bre— no “ he spoke softly trying not to show you his obvious mistake
“ aw what was that baby speak up we can’t hear you“ you directed his gaze to everyone around as he shifted to sit up so he didn’t look like he was getting his ass handed to him like a 7 year old
“ I said um — there was “ he shook his head wanting to deny that you were right so badly “ fuck there was no bread”
“ ok and what happens to your so called planned dinner if there’s no bread “
he coughed “ no sandwich y/n “
“ awww no sandwich? “ the fake sadness on your face evident as you mocked him
“ fuck you y/n “
“ not tonight “ his body sinking when he saw the ghosts of smiles on the people’s faces that were listening in on you two
his head dropping to whisper “ I — I wasn’t even gonna try tonight maybe— maybe tomorrow so jokes on you “
you shook your head calling the waitress over as she stumbled a bit scared of your table and the negative energies it held “ ye— “
“ get me my check “
“ you — you only bought water “
you smirked thought about teasing your boyfriend yet again “ no I bought a sandwich remember “
“ wh— “
“ but no really jokes aside —can you actually bring me a “ your mouth moved fast as you asked for your favorite food and for it to be brought out and packaged in a to go box the shared table quiet between you two him never looking up until the waitress came back about 10 minutes later
Her hands stuffed full with 2 boxes and a small one containing the dessert you ordered “ thank you “ you smiled widely
Legs moving to stand as suna followed deciding to make yet again another sly comment“ so you did all this just to buy us dinner to go? real fucking classy y/—“
“ who said us ? “ you let out a small laugh as you took a glance at his face your eyebrows furrowing before they relaxed
“ suna this is for me “
“ wh—“
“ your right we are going home “
“ home but ? we— I didn’t get anything to eat “
you laughed walking off opening the door to the restaurant watching as he stayed still his body never moving from the booth you two sat at moments ago “ baby there’s nothing at home remember “
“ oh but I thought there was “ you smiled softly before your face came up in mock confusion “ your sandwich no ? “

Nerd Love
After years of working together, Pete still manages to break you.
Request: “Hi! Can I get a Pete imagine where you guys work on SNL together and you have few skits together and during one of them you can’t stop laughing”
Pete Davidson x Reader
Warnings: Cursing
Word Count: 2237
Tumblr media
“Live from New York, it’s Saturday night!” You hear Kate and the host of the week announce before Lorne motions that the cameras had cut for commercial break. You and Pete had a sketch together in exactly 12 minutes and 45 seconds, and you were trying to cool your nerves.
You loved your job, writing on SNL was something you had dreamed of since you were in middle school, and now it was your reality. Of course, it was hard, the hours were long and the work was demanding. But having Pete by your side made it all bearable.
You had met on your first day, getting hired one season after him. You two were deemed the “babies” of the cast because you were the youngest, so naturally you got paired up. A lot.
At first it bothered you that you only really ever worked with one person, but after your first few episodes you grew to love Pete. Your energies matched so well, and whenever you wrote together you easily built of each other.
After 6 years of working on the show together, you had become really close friends. You were with him through all of his hard times, and you were one of the few people he let visit him in rehab. In return, he stuck by your side through everything, even when the internet tried to cancel you for an interview that was taken completely out of context.
You couldn’t pinpoint when, but at some point, you had developed real feelings for him. Obviously, you’d never tell him, not wanting to mess up your amazing friendship. But they still flourished, especially when you would be up until 6 am writing sketches and goofing around in the writer’s room. Of course, the comments from fans didn’t help your feelings either. They loved you guys. Anytime you posted Pete on your social media, they were all over it.
But you guys had denied the dating rumors countless times since they’d started 5 years ago. Even though having to hear the words “we’re just friends” over and over killed you.
You were lost in thought when Pete came up behind you, hands grabbing your shoulders and shaking you slightly. “Ready bookworm?” He asked, moving to stand next to you.
“Only if you are, Mr. jock-man.” You laughed, rolling your eyes.
The sketch you and Pete had written was a young couple on a really fancy date to celebrate their 6-month anniversary. Your character was going on the date with Kyle Mooney’s character. Both of you were the stereotypical nerd couple with glasses, suspenders, and everything else. Pete was playing your waiter, who obviously did not give a shit about his job. He was the stereotypical jock character. Your character was super attracted to him and kept paying attention to him. He loved the attention and would do things like show you his (reaaaallllyyy) lame tattoos, tell you about sports, and everything that nerds don’t like. Kyle obviously didn’t like that and kept trying to get your attention in the weirdest of ways.
It was pretty funny in rehearsals, almost too funny. Seeing Pete act so out of character was hilarious to you and having to overdramatically flirt with him felt ridiculous. You barely made it through in rehearsals without laughing, so you had to hope you could do it on stage.
“Y/N, Pete, and Kyle. You’re up.” The stagehand told you, and you grabbed Kyle’s hand, walking to the stage.
The sketch started and you were doing okay. You and Kyle had your conversation about your anniversary and your favorite Star Wars movies. But then Pete walked onto the stage in his ridiculous waiter getup. His white shirt was unbuttoned at the top and wrinkled, his black pants hanging low on his hips, and his apron only half tied. You bit your tongue to keep yourself together.
“Welcome to White Oyster, what do you want?” He said in a very bored voice. You acted interested, eyes raking up and down him. You felt ridiculous and had to swallow a laugh.
Kyle pushed his glasses up on his nose, “me and my girlfriend are here for our six-month anniversary, so we would like the couple’s special.” His nerd voice was incredible.
“Okay. Anything else?” Pete’s voice remained monotone.
You bit your lip, “do you recommend anything else?” You asked, trying to sound nerd-sexy.
You could see Pete struggling to contain a smile. “I mean, whatever. Food here is shitty anyways.”
Kyle’s mouth gaped, “can you not speak like that around my girlfriend, please?”
The sketch continued with you making flirty remarks towards Pete, him being very bored and unaware, and Kyle trying to direct your attention. After your second attempt at flirting with him, you could feel yourself breaking down.
“So, I was wondering. Do you have any tattoos?” You asked him, your elbow on the table, twirling a piece of your hair in your finger.
Pete nodded, pulling up his shirt to show the big MOM tattoo on his side that was drawn on earlier. You felt a giggle slip out, completely out of character.
You tried to cover it up and continue, “wow, you really must love your mom, huh?” Another chuckle leaving your mouth, “that’s kinda hot.”
Kyle looked at you with wide eyes, “Linda!” He screamed the name of your character
Pete shrugged, “Nah, I did it myself. It says WOW, like world of warcraft.”
You couldn’t help the laugh that fell out of your mouth, and one followed from Pete. This was a disaster. You tried to regain your composure, knowing Kyle was probably really frustrated right now. “I just think tattoos are so cool. You don’t have any, do you Darren?” You asked Kyle’s character, eyes narrowing at him. You heard a chuckle from Pete beside you and you bit your cheek.
Kyle faked looking flustered, “N-no. But I have all 7 of the Harry Potter books and 4 collectors wands.”
Pete nodded, “Oh cool, I have a Harry Potter tattoo.” He pulled up his arm to show his real tattoo.
Your eyes went wide, “Wow. That’s way cooler.” You batted your eyes up at Pete, making him break even more. Watching his face go red and his mouth lifting up with laughter made you squeeze your eyes to hide your laughter.
“But babe!” Kyle was starting to break now too. “You love my Harry Potter stuff!”
“It’s cool, I guess.”
The sketch continued with you and Pete laughing anytime you looked at each other, your energies feeding into one another. You both tried really hard to keep it together, but something about flirting with Pete made you so giddy inside that you couldn’t help it.
Eventually the scene ended and the lights went down. You knew the cameras probably caught an extra few seconds after the close of the sketch, meaning they caught you and Pete breaking down into fits of laughter.
You somehow made it offstage, faces red. “We’re so gonna get fired.” He said through giggles.
“I’m so sorry,” You started, trying to take breaths through your laughs. “I don’t know why I couldn’t hold it together.”
“You looked ridiculous.” Pete laughed, pointing at your glasses.
After the show you made your way back to your dressing room, changing into your day clothes and getting ready to leave. You finally checked your phone, which had been off the duration of the show.
Your twitter feed was filled with clips of you and Pete laughing through the sketch.
They’re so cute together #goals
Love their friendship
Get you someone who looks at you like Pete looks at Y/N
Poor Kyle ☹
The way they can’t get through a skit because they’re too in love
And they say they aren’t dating…
Can’t believe the unprofessionalism
Pete and Y/N are dating… no one can convince me otherwise
The flirting!!! The looks!!!
I would like Pete and Y/N to get married and adopt me please
Your heart melted at all the comments, a sigh leaving your mouth. You watched the video and noticed the way he looked at you anytime you broke character, it was the same way you looked at him all the time.
You shook your head, convincing yourself you were imagining it. You couldn’t afford to think like that, it would ruin your friendship.
A knock at your door pulled you out of your thoughts, “Y/N, wanna go grab a drink with me?” It was Pete.
“You can come in.” You called, and he did so. “I don’t know, I was thinking I might just go home. I’m pretty tired.” You really just wanted to go home and sort through your feelings for the umpteenth time that month.
He nodded, watching as you tossed various items in your bag, “you were great tonight.”
You giggled, “Pete I barely made it through our sketch, it was a disaster.”
He rolled his eyes, walking over to where you were at your vanity. “I messed up too, but it was fine. No one noticed.”
You leaned into the mirror, fixing your makeup slightly. Pete was very close to you, watching you through said mirror. “Trust me, Petey. Everyone noticed.” You laughed, standing up straight again.
Your back was inches from his chest, and you could suddenly feel a different sort of tension in the air. But you didn’t make any move to shift away from him. He gave you a quizzical look through the mirror and you took out your phone, turning to him.
You took in a breath at the proximity. You weren’t close enough to kiss or anything, but his chest was only a few inches away from you. You shook away the thoughts you were having and opened your twitter, letting him scroll through the tweets. He chuckled and shook his head as he read them, eventually handing you your phone back.
“People really like us together.” He said, smiling.
You rolled your eyes, “They have for the past like, 6 years, Petey. We’re funny.” You smiled moving to turn back to grab your bag, but his hand grabbed your hip and made you stay facing him.
Your mind went blank at his touch, trying to figure out if this was real or if you were just really really tired. “That’s not what I meant.” He said, quieter.
You laughed, looking away from his eyes, not really knowing what to say. “I mean, people have always thought… stuff like that.” You mumbled, trying to figure out what the hell was going on.
Pete’s eyes were searching your face, taking in every detail. “Have you ever thought about, like, why people think we’re…” He trailed off, but you knew what he was implying.
You blushed, looking down at your toes. “I mean, I guess we’re together a lot and we get on well. People just like to make assumptions, I guess.”
“Yeah, and I’m sure it doesn’t help that I can never keep my eyes off of you, even when the cameras are rolling.” He said, a chuckle following.
You smiled, looking back up at him, your brain trying to process what he just said. After a few moments of silence, you spit out a “why are you bringing this up?” Your voice was soft, almost a whisper.
He sighed, hand moving from your hip and rubbing his face lightly. “I don’t know, I’ve just been thinking a lot.” You gave him a look that told him to continue. “I mean, I think it’s kind of obvious that I like you.”
Your mouth dropped, “obvious? Pete Davidson you have been far from obvious about your feelings.” You really thought you were dreaming, hearing those words from him was just impossible.
“Are you kidding me? How many sketches do I have to write just so I can flirt with you? Have you not picked up on the fact that literally every sketch I write for you to be in we’re playing some sort of couple?” He laughed, stepping towards you, and grabbing your hips again. “Dude, and I thought I was oblivious to this shit.”
“In my defense I’ve spent the past like 6 years trying to convince myself you didn’t feel the same way.” You said, a smile crossing your face.
Pete rolled his eyes, leaning closer to you, “now why would you wanna do that?” There was a playful tone in his voice, but you couldn’t help your serious answer.
“Because I didn’t wanna read the signs wrong and mess up our friendship.” You sighed.
Pete’s smile softened, “Y/N I literally want to kill you right now for making me wait this long.” You giggled, leaning closer to him. “But you’re cute so I guess I can let it slide.”
“If I kiss you will it make up for it?” You asked, batting your eyelashes.
Pete pretended to think about it, “hmmm, maybe. You should definitely give it a shot to see.”
You rolled your eyes, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him into you. Your lips touched his and it was like everything in the universe suddenly aligned. His mouth moved against yours in soft, perfect motions. His hands pulled you closer into him, your bodies molding together like it was meant to be.
When you finally pulled away for breath, he pressed his forehead against yours, a wide grin on his face. “So, about those drinks?”

Unrequited Love
Teehee highschool AU. It's not that great but I just really wanted to write one. I might actually make this a short series.
Warning: Swearing and a bit of bullying.
------------
"Move it freak." You hit the lockers, hard. Tears prick your eyes as the instigators laugh cruelly behind you before moving on. You feel a hand on your shoulder and you snap.
"You going to dunk my face in a toilet or something? Wasn't the first time enough?" The hand recoils a bit before moving back to its place on your arm and giving you a reassuring squeeze. You refuse to look back until you finally sense that the presence was gone. You sigh, picking up your books before heading to your class.
------------
You're sullenly picking at your lunch, sneaking small glances at your crush from across the cafeteria when a familiar voice cuts in.
"God, if you keep staring at her like this, you might as well profess your love right here and right now." Your face turned beet red as Nat slides into the seat next to you, gesturing towards Wanda Maximoff. Wanda was an interesting girl. Constantly surrounded by boys who's testosterone levels went through the charts but she never paid them any mind. Out of all of the "popular" people, she actually seemed the most decent. The one person that actually had morals. She was also quite pretty. No, scratch that, very pretty. Waist length auburn hair and emerald green eyes that glowed.
"Shut up Romanoff." You elbow a cackling Nat as she yoinks a carrot stick from your plate.
"If you had any common sense, you'd know that you should avoid her. Look at the way Vision's got his arm around her waist. The minute you try something, he'll be there to throw you into a dumpster." You frown, taking in Vision's rippling, athletic form. Nat, was of course right. He could quite literally, throw you out of a 3 story building and into a dumpster. Sighing, you shoved the rest of your lunch over to Nat who immediately grabbed it.
"You can have the rest, I'm not hungry." Nat squealed with happiness as you left the cafeteria, unaware of the glowing green eyes that followed you out of the cafeteria.
"Jackpot!"
------------
"God, I'm so done with today. I just want to go to Tetra's Diner, grab some fries and a milkshake, go home, take a nice bath and then pass out on my bed." You groan, running your hands through your hair as you and Nat open your lockers. A single rose falls out of your locker, a note clinging onto it. Nat peers over your shoulder as you pick up the rose.
"What's it say?" Nat pipes up from behind you and you shush her.
Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance or nature’s changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st;
Nor shall death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
"William Shakespeare." You smile when you recognize the quote while Nat frowns.
"Jeez I guess you and your secret admirer and both dorks then." A voice sneers from behind you. You whirl around to find Tony Stark snarling down at you. Nat steps in front of you protectively.
"Fuck off Stark." She warns him in an almost calm manner. She cracks her knuckles which sends him scuttling off, flashing one last glare at you.
"Thanks Nat. You didn't have to do that." You smile brightly at her, the two of you walking out into the school parking lot. She slings an arm around your shoulder, ruffling your hair.
"Anytime. He's just an asshat." You smile at her open affection towards you.
"I'm going to the diner, you want to come?" Nat shakes her head sullenly.
"I have judo I have to get to. I can give you a ride though?" She offers as compensation but you politely decline.
"Nah, I'll bike there. It's super close anyways." She gives you a reluctant grin before hopping into her car and speeding away.
"Bye Y/N!" You wave goodbye, letting out a content sigh before pulling the motorcycle helmet over your head. You feel a pair of eyes watching you and you whip around to see nothing but an empty parking lot. Shrugging, you start up the engine and speed away.
The moment you're out of sight, Wanda steps out from her shadowy corner of the lot, frowning as her mind reels from your relationship with Nat, jealousy consuming her.
---------------
"Oh these are good." You groan as you sink your teeth into the french fries. Valkyrie flashes you a toothy grin before returning to her work. The doorbell rings, signalling another customer entered the diner. You pay no attention to the person, shovelling french fries into your mouth. The figure slips into the seat beside you.
"You might want to slow down on those. I would hate for you to choke." A soft Sokovian accent whispers and you look up into the smiling face of Wanda Maximoff. You backpedal slightly, choking on the french fry that jammed itself in your gullet. Her amused expression takes a more concerned look and she hands you a glass of water which you down immediately. Not the best first impression on your crush but you'll take what you can get. You clear your throat, attempting to recover from the embarrassing scene you just caused.
"Maximoff. What brings you here?" You ask, your voice an octave deeper. She gives you an odd look.
"It's my favorite diner." You mentally kick yourself. God, why am I so weird? It's a diner! She's probably just grabbing a snack! You cringe before regaining your composure.
"Same here. Best fries in town." You stutter out and Val flashes you an amused look from behind the counter as you slip off your stool. "Well, I'd best get going." You flash a weak smile at her, grabbing your jacket and slipping it on. "Have a good one Wanda." You're about to slip out the door when a hand grabs your wrist. You look back to see Wanda, a determined look on her face and you gulp at her close proximity.
"The upcoming chemistry test. Can you help me study for it?" You scoff internally. No wonder she came here. She came for your help. You chide yourself for thinking such thoughts before responding to Wanda, who looks quite pale, almost anxious.
"Yeah sure. Where and when?" Her firm grip on your wrist relaxes as she steps out the diner door with you.
"My house tomorrow? I can give you a lift." You gulp, a light pink dusting your cheeks.
"Y-yeah, sure. I won't be able to catch a ride with you though, I can't leave my bike behind." You point to your motorcycle which is lying a few feet away. She nods before giving you a lingering touch on your forearm.
"Alright, see you then." As she walks away, you pump your first, fumbling with your phone as you text Natasha the news.

Okay so I'm kind of scared to do a series because I feel like I'm a bit better at one-shots but let's give it a try. This will be a pretty short series.

It started with a whisper
I originally wrote ‘Like I did with you’ as a one-shot but people wanted a sequel. This turned out to be waaaaay longer than expected (4.7k word count). Inspired by Everybody Talks by Neon Trees. I hope you lot enjoy!

————
Two teens stood upon the balcony of a large banquet hall, exposed to the midsummer night air. The sky was a lilac blanket that hung over the Parisian buildings, speckled with glowing stars. The moon, with it’s crescent smile, beamed down of the young couple.
Hey, baby, won't you look my way?
Marinette’s eyes were closed as she rested her head upon his shoulder, relaxing after the night’s rapid escalation. Tonight she had arrived at the ball with the intent to be there for her friends, but somehow she found herself within the arms of Gotham’s (and probably Paris’) Ice Prince. She had overheard his nickname from the Gotham students, one of which being Jon, who was in the middle of mocking the young Wayne. She had never considered that nickname as suitable; sure he was temperamental & had a tendency to snap, but icey to the core? No.
I can be your new addiction
Damian was calm. For the first time in his life he felt like he could take a breath. His exhale was carried off by a small gust of wind, the bush over hanging the stone railing rustled. With his inhale, the scent of Marinette’s perfume became present once more. Mixed with the crisp night’s air, her usual scent of pastries was mixed with what could only be described as ambrosia. His phone vibrated within his pocket, it was never on volume due to the potential risk it caused during his heroic activities.
“Shit.” Notifications covered his screen, multiple tweets, Instagrams and Tiktoks in which he had been tagged in. But the alert came from his family’s private messaging chat. The whole thread was a shit storm, Grayson and Todd’s messages were completely capitalised (he learnt years ago this meant ‘to yell’ in writing form) and both had multiple ‘keyboard spasms’. Drake, like the thorough detective he is, had combed through the images and videos, investigating their validity. His honorary sisters had replied with ‘awwwww’(s) and ‘Omg we MUST meet this girl! I need to know how she tamed the demon!’. He could practically hear Brown’s shrill voice from across the ocean.
Hey, baby, what you gotta say?
No reply from his father or Alfred. The two of them were the only semblance of ‘normal’ paternal figures he had within his life, after the sham of a relationship he had previously held with his grandfather. Their silence unnerved him.
Marinette had noticed his attention had shifted to his phone, her own mobile was buzzing away within her baby pink purse. Messages, notifications of account tagging and comments galore. A sigh left her lips when she saw her parents seemed to be none the wiser. Good, she didn’t need to deal with future adoration for ‘The boy who swept our daughter off of her feet’ (or something along those lines).
Her cheeks regained some of the warmth they held before as she thought of her parent’s reaction. Scrolling through her Twitter she saw her friends had posted multiple images of the night’s events, majority being her shared dance.

what kind of Disney shit is this? (Insert video of two teens dancing around an mostly empty dance floor.)
Alix Kubdel @Sk8trGirl
Replying to @TheBestBourgeois
I KNOW RIGHT?! THEY WERE FUCKING FLOATING!!!
All you're giving me is fiction
She was thankful that they hadn’t tagged her but she hadn’t been spared by others in attendance. Her post thread had blown up, thousands had commented and even more had viewed the evidence. There was no way she would come out of this unscathed.
“Has anyone been on Twitter today?” The blonde of the family asked as she walked into the dining room. Her eyes focused on her scrolling screen, brows furrowed in confusion. “Actually has anyone seen what’s happening on any of our socials?”
It was early in the afternoon and the family had recently returned home after a straining stakeout. The Joker had broken out of Arkham and the Batfam had to deal with his minions. Dick’s arm was in a sling (sprained from a grapple gone wrong), Jason was icing his hand, Alfred was stitching Bruce’s chest wounds while Tim and the girls escaped without severe injuries. All were still recuperating and finally able to recharge.
Alfred always enforced a strict ‘no devices at the dinner table’ rule; no matter how urgent it was, it could wait until after sustenance was consumed. Tim strongly opposed this, but there was no arguing with Agent A. This all surmises that probably no one had seen the crap storm on social media.
I'm a sorry sucker and this happens all the time
Bruce sighed, bringing his free arm up to rub his eyes. Tilting his head back to look at Steph, “Who was it this time?” Barbara quickly took out her phone to see what Stephanie was talking about, all the while glancing accusingly at Dick and Jason. Both of whom held up their arms (or in Dick’s case arm), declaring their innocence.
“It wasn’t fucking me!”
“Jason! Language!” Dick shot a glare at Jason and was met with one in return. “It wasn’t me either.”
“Then who-“ Bruce started before being cut off by his most rambunctious daughter.
I found out that everybody talks
Stephanie with a squeal, exclaimed that it was Damian. Visions of what the Wayne brat could have done flashed through the heads of everyone in the room. He had been sent overseas before the quarantines and lockdowns hit. During Damian’s first month in France he had been forced into online schooling and then finally when he got to go to in-person classes he hated it. Described the class as a kindergarten with petty and vindictive toddlers.
Had he broken someone’s arm? Was that person of such importance that it had spread over multiple social media platforms? France’s government had announced on June 15th, that teens were now being inoculated so him having COVID-19 was doubtful. Had he insulted the wrong person? Had he taken over the government? He certainly had the potential.
Everybody talks, everybody talks
What they saw stunned them, even Steph as she watched it for the 7th time. Damian Wayne was dancing. But not only that, he was dancing with a girl.
It started with a whisper
“What is this shit?”
No one verbally objected to Jason’s outburst but he was sent a harsh glare from Alfred, Dick and Bruce. Their focus soon returned to the images and videos before them. Babs’ and Steph’s phones were returned to them as the others ran to grab their own devices. They all met back at the table, comparing the posts and comparing their notes.
I can hear the chitchat
“There’s no way this can be real.”
“Jesus Tim,” Barbara rolls her eyes, “have you seen the amount of posts there are? You’d be an idiot to think otherwise.”
Take me to your love shack
“I’m with Tim, how do we know this isn’t some skit. I mean, Demon Spawn almost looks normal. That’s a matter of concern.” He almost dry heaved when he agreed with Tim. Damian couldn’t be capable of naturally exuding that amount of humanity unless there was something in it for him.
Mamas always gotta backtrack
“I was just saying Babs, that we should check the credibility of these images. For all we know they could be gorilla glued together and trying to get unstuck.” Tim cringed at his own reasoning, he really needed to either sleep (probably not going to happen anytime soon) or find his favourite coffee brand (which had been one of the first to vanish after the covid hoarders appeared).
When everybody talks back
Dick was too busy freaking out and spam messaging the youngest Wayne, to defend Damian’s humanity. The family saw this and followed suit, wanting to get information from the source.
Chat name: Alfred supremacy
BigBird: AHHHHHH DAMIAN!
BigBird: YOU LOOK SO CUTE!!!
BigBird: HAIFJDNDNFI
LittleWing: WTF HAPPENED DEMON SPAWN YOU LOOK ALMOST HUMAN
Babs: who knew the city of love would influence the brat
Blondie: they are so cuteeeeeee!
Blondie: We HAVE to meet her!
Silent-but-deadly: agreed.
Timbo: YO DEMON
Timbo: Apparently the videos are legit
Timbo: are you being blackmailed?
And it just devolved into more chaos from there, fueled by the fact that they saw Damian’s ‘Blood Son’ account appear online before vanishing once more. Dick shrieked, “I FOUND HER ACCOUNT!”
The family gathered around the eldest son, peering over his shoulder to view his iPhone 12max screen. They saw a young girl’s Instagram account. It was locked but they could see her profile pic, the girl had black hair and looked to be if Asian decent. They compared it to the videos but it was hard to see due to the hall’s lighting and the minimised facial features of the pfp. Alfred suggested that they search up her username and see who has tagged her, some might have other photos of her.
After research for awhile, the family began to get frustrated with lack of results.
Hey honey you could be my drug
You could be my new prescription
“Come on!” Jason complained, “What kind of teenage girl doesn’t post her life online?” He ignored the girls glares and went back to researching. How had the account by the name of ‘mariiiiinette’ to managed to prevent the entire Wayne clan from accessing it? Damn Instagram privacy settings. He groaned, dragging a hand down his face, “We are fucking stupid. Why don’t we just use the Bat-computer? It would be so much fucking easier.”
“It shouldn’t be used for civilian issues-“
Too much could be an overdose
“The girl could be a meta for all we know! We aren’t safe until we know who she is.” Jason points a finger at Tim, his paranoia flared up and even though he would never admit it, Jason would do anything to protect each member of his family (although Bruce is still debatable).
All this trash talk make me itching
Barbara and Tim took their usual positions as Oracle and Red Robin (who had been banned from patrol due to lack of sleep). The rest of the Batfam stood behind them either with arms crossed or still failing at researching.
Oh my my shit
“The account is owned by a girl called Marinette Dupian-Cheng. She is French-Chinese and her parents own a popular bakery. Also if it wasn’t already obvious, she goes to Collège Françoise Dupont, aka Damian’s French school.” Tim begun informing his nosy family, “But this account has been inactive for the past 6 months, which is strange due to her frequent posting schedule before hand. It seems she probably has a second account and this is her old one.”
Everybody talks, everybody talks
“Not only that,” Barbara interrupted. “There are unopened messages from other accounts that accuse her of being a bully. There is a whole Facebook page about this girl and how she has been hurting her old friends, but neither side seems reliable. The so called victims seem to be twisting the truth but there is barely any information about Marinette so we can’t disprove it either.”
“Read out some of the messages.” Bruce took a cup of coffee from Alfred and sipped it.
The main screen of the bat computer displayed a Facebook group with the banner picture being a photo of Marinette. “They are mostly complaints expected of teen girls when there is a girl they don’t like; ‘Marinette is such a know-it-all’, ‘She is constantly insulting Lila’s intelligence’. They go on to talk about how Marinette was briefly expelled from the Collège before being reinstated by the principle for a reason unknown to them.”
Everybody talks too much
“Her school reports up until this year were good. The newest one states, ‘While Marinette is a wonderful and bright student, I encourage her to settle her disagreements outside of class. This seems to only be a recent occurrence and I implore her to go to the guidance council if she is in need of help.’” A beat of silence echoes through the cave, Tim sighed. “Jason’s meta theory could be correct. She could have just recently started exhibiting her abilities and using them to get what she wants.”
“Bruce what do you want to do?”
“We’re going to Paris.”
She opened her eyes to the blaring morning light that streamed through the blinds. Her lashes still painted with mascara that refused to leave. She felt a pang of sorrow when she was removing her makeup and dress last night, she never wanted the night to end. She shuffled down the stairs to the kitchen, covering her mouth when she yawned. She greeted her mother as she entered the kitchen to get breakfast.
She glanced at her phone and there was the chaos that was started hours ago and it was still occurring. It was the weekend, she wouldn’t need to deal with her classmates until Monday. But she would still have to survive her parent’s interrogation. Out of the corner of her eye she caught her mother smirking at her.
Everybody talks
“Nadja told me some interesting news about last night.” Marinette held her breath, glaring at the toaster, willing it to hurry up so she could escape. “Well,” Sabine patted her shoulder before rubbing Mari’s back. “I know you didn’t want to go but I hope you had fun.”
With that she exited the kitchen, probably going to help her father in the bakery. The ravenette stared after her, eye widened in shock, jumping when the toaster went off. Buttering her toast she went over the conversation, her brows furrowed in confusion. She had expected a ‘When do I get to meet the oh so famous prince?’ or ‘Should I be expecting a new guest sometime in the near future?’ or at least a ‘Who was that young man, Bǎozàng (宝藏 it means treasure)?’ But she said nothing.
A small smile was plastered upon her face as she changed and went down to help her parents in the bakery. Her father didn’t say anything either, he gave her a knowing smile before continuing to kneed the dough. She sat at the the store front as the cashier whilst her parents were busy making ‘Paris’s Finest Pastries’.
Her musings slowly faded as she was brought back to reality by badly hushed whispers. Two young preteens were by the bread roll casing near the door. She had seen them come in before with their parents, the girls went to the prestigious international school over in the 16th arrondissement. The one with purple hair kept whispering to the brunette, both ‘subtly’ glancing towards her. Using her enhanced hearing she listened in on their conversation.
“That’s her, I swear that’s her in the video.”
The blonde’s face soured likes she sucked on a lemon. “No, it wasn’t good lighting there is no way he would dance with someone like her.”
Everybody talks
Marinette had tough skin but their words had an impact, only a small one due to her defence mechanism of repressing emotions. She stopped listening and went back to drawing in her sketchpad, she was in desperate need of a new school outfit.
The two girls eventually came up to the counter, goods in hand. Marinette rung up and bagged their items (paper because save the turtles sksksk) in a tired daze. A phone was shoved into her face, her eyes barely adjusted to view the screen before the blonde spoke.
“Is this your instagram?” She asked in a tone so snobbish that it should be illegal from a person her age. Marinette finally was able to view the screen that was barely an inch from her face. Her old Instagram ‘mariiiiinette’ was displayed on screen, she hesitantly nodded, gaze flicking back to the two in front of her.
The blonde’s nose scrunched up and the purple goth girl squealed in delight. They soon after left the store, their conversation had devolved into ‘See! I told you’ and ‘Yeah, yeah. You were right.’
Walking to school on Monday, she had finally come down from cloud nine. She still rode the tail end of her high as she rushed along her path to her campus, she wasn’t going to be late but she sure wasn’t going to be early. She had spent the better part of the weekend designing and sewing a brand new outfit. Her new look was composed of a black cropped singlet (L'amour gagne hemmed into it and it’s straps), paired matching peach plaid cropped overshirt and a-line miniskirt. Her hair was down, ballet flats were worn and her makeup was the usual with the added edition of a rose gold eyeshadow.
Even though her face was covered in a black and gold mask, she looked hot.
She reached the campus and the whispers started again, people were still buzzing from Friday night. Her classmates, the majority of her grade and the younger years seemed to gossiping before class about the formal’s events. She couldn’t spot any of her friends or the two Gotham transfers, so she was stuck listening the the chitchat. Why couldn’t she have been late like usual?
Damian had a fowl disposition and it showed in multiple icey glares (and that was before he even reached the collège). His family had made their appearance known in Paris at 1am Sunday morning. He could have used his dorm to escape but his family didn’t have the word ‘privacy’ within their vocabulary. He didn’t want to have to pay for a lock replacement due to his brothers’ (most likely Todd with Drake & Grayson laughing at him) lock picking habit.
The Ice Prince was back with full force. He had just been... influenced by all the other couples. Yes he did respect Dupain-Cheng and he appreciated her company & pleasant conversations. He would struggle to hide a small smile at the memory of the dance, even if he denied himself the happiness of normality, he felt content when reminiscing.
“Ooo the Ice Prince is here, did he have a fight with his princess or something?” The voice seemed to mock him.
“The Disney Magic is gone. The demon is back.”
Everybody talks
At the second jeer he shot a glare at the perpetrator. Jon held his hands up in an ‘I surrender manner’, laughing as he joined Damian at his side. The two entered the school’s large foyer and looked to see if any of the classes were open yet. Sadly they weren’t, before he was wrong and the his class was plain torture but this was truely hell.
He saw Dupain-Cheng sitting alone on the stairs, drawing within her sketchpad. He wondered how a girl like her, who always seemed to be involved in other’s lives (for the better) was ignoring all of the comments about her. She felt his focus centre on her, eyes flicking up to meet his, she provided him with a small wave before continuing to draw.
Jon nudged him with an elbow to his ribs and dragged him off to the side, into the boy’s locker rooms. Jon scowled at the door, “It’s a mad house out there. You’ve heard what some people are saying right?”
“Why would I care about these imbeciles?”
Jon jabbed Damian in the chest, causing the demon to stumble. Green eyes darted from blue eyes to the tan finger. “You care when lies hurt people you care about.”
The day began to rapidly decline once the two dance partners took their seats, next to each other. They had both been placed up the back of the class and them sitting together hadn’t been a problem until now apparently. She wasn’t even safe when the teacher started their lecture, whispers and glances were cast towards them. Once the two got to biology it was better, Ms Mendeleiev was a strict teacher and was able to control the class.
Everybody talks
But the recess came. When the bell rang she slowly started packing up her equipment, Alix and Max (who she shared biology with) waited for her; she watched as the Ice Prince left through the door. She knew she didn’t need to be concerned about her friends joining in with the gossiping, if anything they would dispel people and tell them to ‘Mind their own fucking business’ because this whole situations is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous.
She did receive some slight teasing from Alix about being a Disney princess, but Marinette quipped back about the skater’s fairytale story being ‘Pinknette, the Geek and the Beast’. The three met up with the other two of their group, they had just come from geography. Kim was complaining that Argentina was a state in America.
“That’s Arkansas you idiot!” Chloe shrieked, lightly hitting his arm with her white handbag. Max held his head in his hand as he approached, how had his tutoring sessions failed so badly?
Chloe turned to Marinette, a smile forming from her glare. The blonde examined the designer’s clothing, nodding. “You look like you are about to have a hot girl summer.”
Marinette’s face burned, the tips of her ears coated in red. Alix chuckled and nudged her shoulder.
Everybody talks
“Look at her, she is so desperate for his attention that she probably copied those designs.”
“Why do you think he danced with her anyways? Maybe she has something on him? I mean, she forces him to sit next to her in class, who knows what else she has done.”
What. The. Fuck.
Chloe glowered towards Lila’s posy. “We have a fucking seating plan, those cretins-“ She made a motion to storm over but was caught by the ravenette, looking back to Mari, her rage decreased from a boil to a simmer.
“No Chlo. It’s fine, it’s not worth it.”
Everybody talks... back
The group walked out to the school’s front steps, it was a mad house... a mad courtyard? Students sitting on the stairs, on the grass and standing around mingling, all of them now were staring at her. She held her backpack close to her chest (she had swapped her signature coin-bag purse for the pastel pink bag), pretending its a shield. Her friends circled around her becoming an obstacle to prevent their stares. If people were afraid of a scowling Kim then they don’t know the scorn of Chloe or Alix’s bite. And Max, sweet quiet Max.... you better hope he doesn’t have blackmail on you (he probably does), he can dismantle your life with a single anonymous post.
Rushed footsteps approached them. The group was broken apart by a rude Wayne boy, he swept Mari away from the school and the gossip crowds within. Her four friends shouted at him and he kept walking, shooting a glare at them in response. He kept pushing Marinette forward with a hand placed on the small of her back, her backpack was now swung over his other shoulder.
They ended up in her favourite alcove. She had brought him here with the other Gotham transfers for a native’s tour of Paris. It had always been her safe place to be creative.
It started with a whisper (everybody talks, everybody talks)
“My apologises for our rushed departure but you seemed to want to get out of their anyhow.” His gruff tone danced through the silence, his head still peaking around the corner; watching for any unwelcome guests.
“Thank you.” She whispered, her voice almost being carried off by the gentle wind. A genuine smile illustrated upon her face.
“We weren’t able to converse after the events of the other night. I would like to formally apologise once more for my actions causing this adverse reaction. If I had kn-“
“You don’t need to apologise!” She squeaked, hiding her eyes behind her fisted hand. Her shoulders curled inwards as she tried to make herself seem as small as possible, a side effect of her common use of her secondary miraculous form: Multimouse.
“I chose to dance with you, you don’t need to apologise for my own actions.” He stared at her with confusion. He had taken the blame so she wouldn’t need to do so herself; but she had taken it anyways. He had given her an out. Why does she always take the blame, even for things out of her control?
“But if I hadn’t danced with you then you wouldn’t have been the focus of the entire school.”
Marinette stepped forward, her eyes hardened and blazing. “Damian Friday night I went there out of obligation to my friends, I didn’t want to be there. But dancing with you? That was the highlight of my week, probably my month too. I enjoyed our time together.” Her face softened, lips twitched downwards ever so slightly. “I don’t regret anything about that night, but do you?”
He was bad at comfort. Everyone in his family avoided him when they were in need, he plainly didn’t know what to do. She wasn’t visibly upset but he sensed that she is disappointed that he apparently didn’t share the same opinion of the night. The only thing he regretted about that night was letting Jon call him a coward, but then again if he didn’t he never would have danced with Dupa- Marinette.
He picked up her clenched hand, the tension in her body alleviated at his embrace. He remembered how Grayson would apologise to Kor’i or how his father interacted with Ms Kyle. He brought their hands up and placed a kiss upon her knuckles.
And that was when I kissed her (everybody talks, everybody talks)
“I do not regret anything either—“ he cleared his throat, “In fact, I’d appreciate if we would be able to interact more, especially outside of that cesspit.”
Was he...?
It didn’t matter.
She smiled the same dazzling smile she gave him at the dance. She nodded while laughing, “I’d love that.”
Everybody talks
The two stay talking, hidden within their secret alcove for the rest of the day. She texted her parents to say she was with a friend and would be back later that night. Damian didn’t bother texting his family, Marinette knew he had to be back soon due to his dorm’s curfew.
The sun was setting at they walked back together, he did the gentlemanly thing and dropped her off at her bakery door. She could see her mother behind the register inconspicuously looking over at the two of them. Damian’s lips quirked upwards, she was satisfied with his kinda-smile.
He walked back, hands in pockets and a neutral expression upon his face instead of a scowl. He reached his door and took his keys, he found that it was already open. Damn.
His family was splayed out within his two roomed dorm. Todd and Drake were fighting over a place to sit on his bed, whilst his father sat at his desk, watching the commotion. The three of them turned to him as he enter the room, they were the only family members able to attend on short notice; Cain had a ballet audition, Gordon & Brown had concert tickets for tomorrow, Grayson had to take care of Mar’i while Kor’i was on Tamaran and Alfred stayed to ensure no one died during their night time activities.
“We need to talk Damian.” His father stood, leaning onto the desk chair. “The school called and said you had an unexcused absence for half the day. Where were you Damian?”
Damian stared into his father’s eyes. He was fifteen, almost an adult, but was treated like he was ten again.
“I was with a friend.”
“Probably the girl from the dance. Marinette, right?” Todd mocked him. Damian snapped his head in the direction of his bed, glaring at both his brothers.
“That’s what I want to talk about with you Damian. Now I don’t know her personally but from what we’ve discovered through our investigation we have some concerns. What’s happened Damian?”
The youngest Wayne’s glare shifted off of his brothers to the floor, and then finally to his father; his family sitting in wait for his answer. Straightening his posture, his shoulders clicked as he rolled then back. His statement’s tone was sure and steady, “Everybody talks father.”
Everybody talks... back

Tumblr media
Anakin Skywalker had witnessed many things over the years.
Giant beasts? At least once a week. Sith Lords? Becoming too common. Droid armies? All year long. Looking death in the eye? Simply another day in the life of a Jedi.
Nothing could ever have prepared him for the sight he was currently witnessing.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, his Master, The Negotiator, the Jedi Council’s most prized Jedi…sulking.
It has been a full week since You returned to the Jedi Temple and Anakin couldn’t help to think his former Master’s mood and your arrival were connected. He was vaguely aware of your past friendship, only hearing bits and pieces of the adventures you had together as Padawans.
During his days under Obi-Wan’s apprenticeship he would often hear about how “a wise Jedi I once knew” would do certain things. He wanted to know more about this oh-so-great Jedi, however, any time the young boy asked his Master would always brush him off with a mournful look in his eyes.
He didn’t understand at the time but now he’s beginning to piece together that perhaps there was something more between the two of you.
“You think Master Y/l/n and Master Kenobi were courting?”
“Keep your voice down, Snips,” Anakin hushed.
“Sorry, sorry. But Master,” Ahsoka lowers her voice, “what led you to that conclusion? I’ve hardly seen them together since Master Y/l/n came back. What makes you think they could be lovers?”
“That’s just it, Ahoska. They’ve been avoiding each other like the Rakghoul plague. Obi-Wan told me they were such good friends, and now that they’re back they can’t stand to be in the same room as each other? I don’t buy it.” Anakin looked back to where Obi-Wan sat with Commander Cody, no doubt brainstorming new battle tactics and liberation plans.
“So what do you suppose we do? Set them up or something?” The look her Master gave her made her regret her words the moment they left her mouth.
“Come on, Snips. It’s a good idea. We get them to stay in the same room so they have no choice but to confront each other and talk things out! It’s genius.” Anakin smiled, his eyes still on his former Master. He had a feeling if Obi-Wan were to find out about this plan he would be in for a major lecture but he couldn’t bring himself to care at the moment. He couldn’t stand to see the old man look so miserable, not if he can do anything about it.
Ahsoka crossed her arms and followed her Master’s gaze. Something was clearly different about her Grand-Master. He had put his full attention into ending the war, which wasn’t new. However, she could tell something was off. He no longer came out to the landing zone to greet returning fighters, stayed away from the meditation and training centers as well as the Jedi Archives which was the most off-putting observation considering that was where he spent most of his time.
Anytime someone needed to find Obi-Wan Kenobi, the first place they would check was the ancient history section of the Jedi Archives.
“I don’t know why you find so much interest in these old books Y/n/n,” Obi-Wan complained from across the table. “Can’t we go practice our lightsaber skills instead?”
You smiled. “Nuh uh, mister. If I won the wager you promised to sit with me during my reading time. Now shush, and read.” You pushed the unopened textbook toward the pouting Padawan. “Maybe you’ll actually learn something.”
Obi-Wan stuck his tongue out in a childish manner, sighing dramatically when you gave him a certain look and reluctantly opened the cover and began to read Tales of The Old Republic.
Safe to say from that point onward, Obi-Wan would join your daily Archive visits with zero complaints.
You close the book, careful to make sure no pages fell out and gently push it back into its place on the shelf. Using the force, you carefully push the ladder you were currently standing on over to the next column and begin nitpicking through the array of old texts.
It took a few days for you to settle in and readjust to the Jedi Temple life. Once you had, however, things quickly took a turn.
Master Yoda requested that you help train some of the younglings who were having trouble advancing into the next stages of becoming a Jedi. In all honesty, you much rather have had the freedom to roam for at least one more week, but the new role presented an excuse to not be around a certain blue-eyed Jedi.
“Looking for something?”
The voice startled you, causing you to jump and lose your balance on the ladder. You yelp as you begin to fall towards the ground, bracing yourself for the hash impact and the bruises that would add to the collection on your side still currently healing.
Instead, you feel a pair of arms catch you, one under your back and the other behind your knees in a classic bridal style. The hold felt secure instantly, and you instinctively clung to the tunic of your savior. You look up to thank the person for preventing any injuries, but the blue eyes staring back at you made your mind go blank.
Obi-Wan stared back, unsure of what to say. This was the closest he has been to you since you left a decade ago. He longed to have you in his arms, to hug you, to regain that safety net you provided he knew he could always fall back on.
“Um...thank you, General.” It came out as more of a question, your mind still reeling from almost falling and also the fact that the man who you had been actively avoiding just happened to be in the same place you spent hours of your youth together.
“Obi-Wan, please. No need for formalities, darling.” The old nickname slipped out, and he was about to apologize when he noticed the light blush that spread across your face. Perhaps not everything about you has changed.
“Right...Obi-Wan. Well, I’ll be on my way then,” You rushed, trying to pass by him but he stopped you once again by the call of your name.
“Y/n/n’s wait. Whatever game you’re playing, frankly I am not a fan of it.” Obi-Wan crossed his arms and furrowed his eyebrows.
“What are you talking about?” You turned around and looked at him confused.
“You were the one who summoned me here,” he stretched his arms out, “here I am and now you’re trying to run away again. I hardly think that’s fair.” He was beginning to get frustrated. He came in with his heart on his sleeve, ready to finally talk to you after so long and find out why you’ve been keeping your distance. Now, all he felt was betrayal and irritation at the ongoing dance you insist on doing around each other.
He preferred to dance like you did in your youth, but alas this was nothing but another sign he needs to get mind out of the past.
You scoffed lightly. “Again? What is that supposed to mean exactly?” You knew exactly what he meant, but you didn’t want to admit it. You’ve been denying it for ten years and Force be damned if you’d admit it now.
“You’ve been avoiding me since your return--” You open your mouth to protest but he ignores you and continues “--and then you send the youngling to bring me here, only to try to flee upon my arrival,” He frowns, lifting his elbow and resting it on his remaining crossed arm. “I know our history can make things...difficult in the present time,” He glanced around cautiously as he spoke,”but I would appreciate it if we make an agreement simply to not speak from now on. No more games.”
You blinked, head tilting slightly as you waited for him to finish. “Obi-Wan, I didn’t ask for you to come here. Nor would I ever involve younglings in personal matters.” He should know that, you thought. But should he really?
His face fell from annoyance to embarrassment, his arms falling to his sides. “Oh.” He wasn’t sure what to do now. It was his own fault for getting his hopes up. I should have known better.
You purse your lips and nodded slowly. “Well, I’m glad we at least came to an agreement. Goodbye, General Kenobi.” You took your leave, forcing yourself not to look back as you felt his eyes watching your figure.
Obi-Wan let out a frustrated sigh, knowing he just ruined any and all changes of reconnecting with you. In his defense, however, you were the one avoiding his attempts at friendly conversation and refusing to meet and make up for lost time.
Still, something didn’t feel right about this.
“What the kriff was that?”
Ah, there’s that something. “Anakin, please tell me this was not your doing.”
Anakin smiled guilty, Ahsoka coming out from behind the bookshelf to stand next to her Master.
“It was Snips' idea.” Anakin shrugged, flinching when he felt her punch his arm. “Ow!”
“You were the one who came up with the plan, and now look! Master Y/l/n and Master Kenobi will never get together--” Ahoska stops herself, realizing she said too much. “Oh no.”
“I beg your pardon?” Obi-Wan looks at them both incredulously. “First of all, Master Y/l/n and I are simply…” he wanted to say friends, but even that was a reach at this point, “acquaintances. We knew each other in the past, and in the past our friendship shall stay. As for ‘getting together’, you both know very well any implication of that goes directly against the Jedi Code.” He crossed his arms tightly as he scolded.
“I can tell you harbour feelings for them, Obi-Wan. You don’t need to lie to us.”
“Whatever feelings I may or may not have for Y/n are unrelated. You must understand your responsibilities as a Jedi. No matter what emotional sacrifice we must make.” He made a point to look at Anakin at the end, knowing he won’t follow the implication but at least hoping he’ll get the message.
“We’re sorry, Master.” Ahsoka looked down in shame not at what they had tried to achieve, but at the cost and clear damage they caused.
Obi-Wan sighed, running a hand over his beard before resting it on her shoulder. “It’s alright young one. You meant no harm. Perhaps some things are better left forgotten.”
Oh, if only it were that simple.
A Padawan approached the three of them quickly. “Excuse me, Master Yoda sent me to tell you he and Master Y/l/n are waiting for you all in the council room.”
Of course, these things never are.

wc: ~1.3k
request: //
genre: suggestive, a bit of angst, a bit of fluff
pairing: changkyun x gn!reader
contains: kyun doubting himself and you reassuring he’s all your need with an old good hot and passionate makeout session (slightly inspired by keshi’s song more)
a/n: please note this is my first time writing something like this, i’m experiencing but i always welcome constructive criticism :) also the teaser pictures for kyun’s solo made me feel some type of way, i’m whipped for this man -
“Said she want more, I'm not enough
Getting low and I think I'm giving up
Baby, come home
I want us, I want us, said, "I want us"
Once again you found yourself sitting on the couch at the back of Changkyun studio just browsing through mindless youtube videos just to get to spend some time with him.
He was really busy between his activities with the group and his solo debut coming up so he barely had any time for you, so for the two of you to be together you had to tag along with him during his late night studio escapade. It wasn’t the most romantic, that is for sure, but that’s all you could ask for knowing how hard he was trying to make everything right.
But to him it wasn't enough. Nothing ever was enough for him. He wanted to do better, he wanted to do more, he didn't feel like he was enough, his mind was clouded with doubt and he couldn't help but think that you deserve better than this, that you deserve better than him.
This train of thoughts was racing through his head over and over and it became impossible for him to focus on anything else.
He slowly pushed his chair away from his desk and turned his attention to you. You looked so pretty without doing anything and he asked himself how did he got so lucky for a solid minute before focus on your sitting form. You were wearing large comfy clothes, including one of his hoodie he let you borrow because you were cold, your hair was in his natural state even if a bit messy, a soft smile would brighten your bare face every now and then, and with all this he still looked at you like you were the 8th wonder of the world. And in fact, you were more than this, you were his world, everything gravited around you and he lived for this feeling.
Suddenly his thoughts were cut by a sneeze coming from you.
"Bless you" he said with a chuckle.
"Thank you" you said shyly, the noise you made was definitely not as soft as you wished it was but what can you do about it, you're still human.
"You doing okay over here?" you asked full of concern. If you were being a hundred percent honest, you were kind of worried about your boyfriend, he looked off and you couldn't help but think you did something wrong or that you maybe didn't do anything and that it was a problem.
"Everything's alright love" he told you with a light nod and his signature smile.
But it wasn't fooling you, you sat your computer aside and got up to slowly make your way closer to him. You came to a stop right in front of him and gently cupped his face in your palms.
"Come on baby, tell me what's going through that smart head of yours", he relaxed into your touch, you always had this effect on him and he could not explain how you did it but, anytime you would lay your hand on him, he would completely melt, dropping his guard and allowing himself to be vulnerable. The fact that he only acts like this with you made the act so intimate for you two, it never failed to show how much he trusts you.
"Are you happy?" he asked looking up at your face
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I?
- I mean with me. Are you happy with me?" his gaze dropped to the floor after his question, to scared to look at your reactions, afraid of the emotion that could be painted in your face, as if all the stars he saw in your eyes would disappear before you could break his heart.
"Kyun? What's wrong? you asked with worry in your voice
-Please tell me you're not unhappy with me..
- Look at me baby, please" you pleaded your lover, trying to tilt his face toward yours to get a look at his features. Once he did look up, all you saw was doubt written all over his face.
"What's up with all those doubts? you questioned
-Listen I know I've been busy these past few weeks and we did not get the chance to spend that much time together and I don't want you to think that I gave up on you, I did not gave up on us Y/N" his voice was deep but soft, almost fading away in the air as soon as his words left his mouth.
You brought yourself closer to him and took a sit right across his lap, brushing his hair out of his face before placing a kiss on the tip of his nose.
"I know kyun, I know." and it was all you said before kissing him passionately.
Between you and Changkyun, love language was not limited to words and showing your love and affection for each other through acts was important because this was how you two worked the best, it was your thing, especially when you needed to chase your worries and insecurities away.
Sometimes between you and Changkyun, no words where needed.
At first taken aback by your action, Changkyun stayed still, appreciating the feeling of your lips against his. No matter what they always felt soft and plushy soft pressing on his own.
Once he regained control of himself a few seconds after he gently placed one hand on one of your thigh while the other rested at the back of your neck as he was finally returning the kiss.
Kissing Changkyun always felt like the first time. You always thought that even after years of dating your stomach will still be filled with butterflies, that you would never stop discovering the faint smell of musk lingering on his clothes. You would always feel that spark within you, discovering the feeling of his lips for the first time every time.
Changkyun's kisses were soft, loving, passionate. He never needed to be rough to express the strength of his emotions.
He slowly pulled away so you two could take a breath, pressing your forehead together you felt the soft air coming from his lips tickling your own which drew a small smile your lips before he started to place sloppy kisses along your jaw, coming down to your neck.
Peppering the are with light, quick kisses he then started to suck softly on it, not necessarily leaving any mark, just wanting you to enjoy the sensation it was giving you. He sure knew what to do with those lips as your breath started to quicken, sounds that could be mistaken as moans coming out of your lips.
He pulled his lips away from your neck and made his way back to yours. His lips were warm and soft. They parted slightly, allowing your tongue to slip inside. The hand that was previously resting on your thigh was now softly massaging the area while the other went from the back of your neck to your jawline so he could take control of the kiss. It was not a question of power here, he just wanted to show you everything he was feeling and for that he needed you to just receive all he had to give.
His thumb was now rubbing small circles on your cheek as he slowed down his pace, only brushing his tongue against your lips every now and then, focusing on exclusively pressing his lips against your for loving lingering kisses. His other hand stroking your leg went up the middle of your back as he finally pulled you close to him for a tight hug.
Soft pants could be heard coming from both of you as you held onto each other for dear life.
Changkyun broke the silence :
"I love you more than anything in this universe, you know that right?" he asked, looking for reassurance in your answer.
You pulled back to look at him, letting your loving gaze rest on his you said :
"Of course I do, and I love you too, more than words can express."
Yeah sometimes no words were needed between you two because all you needed was each other, nothing more.

tag list: @samanthadalton @crazzyplays @uselesslesbianfr @baexpoppy @alexroyard @alexlabhont @veenast @noixngn @sillyandcutewizardstuffs @doey-eyes8 @itszdavenport (If you wanna be added or removed or just prefer a certain ship just let me know ❤️)
Read Part 1
Pairing: Becca x MC (Emily)
Warnings: some swearing
Word Count: 2289
It's been an hour since Emily last came into my room to remind me of my doctor's appointment. And it's been about thirty minutes since I've been ready to go, physically at least. Naturally, I tried to get Chris to come with me instead because he's my boyfriend, right? Ughh fine, ex-boyfriend. But can you blame me, though? How am I suppose to move on when I literally have no memory of some sort of breakup or closure? I stare at the dull beige-colored ceiling, a view which has me panicking in the mornings right after I wake up, before I remember that I don't live at the sorority house anymore. I then close my eyes and get comfort in the memories I have left, my only anchor on the reality I knew, away from this freakish place with the people I don't even give a shit about.
After a couple more minutes, I begrudgingly get up with a groan and trudge downstairs, finding Emily waiting on the couch. She smiles upon seeing me, but I don't return the gesture, being genuinely annoyed at the prospect of having to spend an incessant amount of time with her. So instead, I walk past her towards the door, my heels clattering on the wooden surface. Emily then follows behind me from a distance, careful not to invade my space. Once outside, I walk straight towards the passenger door of Emily's junk of a car, grabbing the handle as I glare at Emily impatiently, waiting for her to unlock it. As soon as unlocked, I sink into the seat, slamming the door close harder than I intended. Emily, though, takes a second before going in, eyeing the seat suspiciously as if it might shatter anytime. Once seated, she places her hand on the gear stick, slightly trembling. And then it dawns on me, I may have forgotten about the accident, but it's probably still fresh from her memory, terrorizing her at every reminder. All this time, I've been complaining about how unfair everything is for me, not once considering how it may have affected her.
"Who was driving?" I ask. It may not be the best thing to talk about right now, but I have to know.
I see Emily flinch at the question, and before she even opens her mouth, I know. She looks out the windshield, her voice cracking when she replies, "I was."
I nod. My mom told me it was a drunk driver running a red light that hit us, so I don't blame her at all, not anymore.
"Is it–" The words come out sharp, so I stop and soften my voice. "Is it the first time you drove since?"
Emily doesn't reply immediately; instead, she shifts the gear and steps on the gas pedal as we begin to make our way towards the hospital. She grips the steering wheel tightly, anxiously looking at the road, her eyes obsessively sweeping for any oncoming traffic at every intersection.
"No. No it's not but..." Emily trails off, her knuckles turning white as her grip on the steering wheel tightens.
But it's her first time to drive with me in the car. I turn my head to look out the window, knowing full well I can't ease her fears. How can I when I'm the living reminder of everything she lost?
---------
I immediately regret my outfit choice as soon as we get into the waiting room, the frigid temperature biting at my skin, sending sharp pains like that of a needle across my exposed skin. I try to play it cool, but a shiver escapes my body, desperate for any source of heat. A few seconds later, a jacket appears in front of me, held by Emily who is wearing an annoyingly cute little smile on her face. I mumble thanks and take the jacket, placing it over my shoulders, smelling the scent of lavender as I bask in the comfort of heat.
I take out my phone and browse my socials, catching up on all the events I missed–or forgotten–while ignoring the get well soon messages from both people I know and don't know that have been piling up ever since the accident. A few minutes later, the doctor calls my name, and as I stand up, Emily does as well but then sits back down almost immediately, clearly unsure if her company is welcome.
I roll my eyes. "Come on."
---------
After a useless consultation–apparently, they can't do much to help me regain my memories–Emily suggests we stop by an ice cream parlor not far from here. I assent, but only because I need the comfort of a sugary snack right now, and it's been ages since I had one, or at least I think so.
We reach a store I don't recognize, replacing an office space that, while I never paid attention to before, was a pleasant fixture in my reality, not this... eyesore. I shake my head; I can't keep living in the past. I follow Emily into the store, reminding myself that this is my reality now.
Inside, the floor is patterned with alternating pink and black tiles, and the walls are coated with somewhat fresh pink paint adorned with decors that scream ice cream as if one might stumble into the shop looking for lunch or something.
"Welcome t–ah Emily and Becca! I haven't seen you girls in a while."
I turn around to see a guy, probably in his mid-twenties– smiling at us like...  I shoot Emily a side-eye. She, of course, fails to mention that the guy working here is buddy-buddy with me. So, is this the kind of couple we were? Those who frequent an ice cream parlor enough to be on a first-name basis with the ice cream guy? I internally groan in disgust at the thought.
"–Becca." I'm pulled out of my thoughts when I hear my name. Emily and the ice cream guy are looking at me expectantly.
"Sorry I didn't hear," I mumble.
"You'll be having strawberry, your usual, correct?" says the guy with a wide smile.
I do want strawberry, but I shake my head and say, "Vanilla," just to spite him, annoyed how some stranger knows my favorite ice cream flavor.
"Ooh, trying something new today, are we? One rocky road and vanilla coming right up," he announces in an annoyingly high pitch voice. I struggle not to roll my eyes.
"Where's the bathroom?" I ask, which is met by a look of confusion followed by a laugh.
"You know wh–"
Emily quickly interjects, "The bathroom's there, Becca," pointing at a door at the back of the store.
I excuse myself and go to the bathroom, heading straight towards the mirror. I stare at my reflection, nitpicking every tiny detail that has changed throughout the years, changes I don't recognize at all. A tear rolls down my cheek, but I quickly wipe it away. I'm Rebecca fucking Davenport; I don't cry. I grip the sink tightly, overcome with a new resolution. I know who I am; they don't, convincing myself more than anyone else.
Once finishing up in the bathroom, I head back outside, noticing a different aura in the room. Emily is holding our orders with an apologetic look while the ice cream guy regards me with pity, something I've grown used to in the past few weeks. I take my ice cream from Emily, not meeting her gaze, and walk out of the store, striding ahead of her towards the car, not once looking back.
--------
On the ride home, silence weighs heavily between us as Emily bites at her lower lip, either contemplating what to say or waiting for me to go off on her. After an awkward amount of time, Emily finally breaks the silence.
"I'm sorry I–"
"Forget about it," I cut her off, too exhausted to engage with her. I think about the previous encounter, wondering if that would be my norm. Unfamiliar people coming up to me, sharing inside jokes and anecdotes while I stare blankly at them, wondering if I should explain my situation or just ignore them, being the bitch I know I am. I stare out the window, seeing all the changes in the city, musing about the memories I may have had alongside them, memories that I may or may not recover. It's as if an impostor had been living my life for the past two years, and now I'm forced to follow in their footsteps. It's obvious I had changed a lot during those years, my previous enemies becoming my closest friends, my greatest rival supposedly becoming the love of my life. Was she the love of my life? Was I happy with Emily?
It's already dark outside when we arrive home. I notice a few cars parked down the road, something unusual considering this is the only house for at least a couple of blocks. What do I know, though, it's not like I remember much about this place. I turn my attention back to the house; the lights inside are turned off, leaving a lone street lamp and the car's headlights as the primary sources of light, accentuating the jagged grey bricks of the house, almost giving an appearance of something sinister. This is ridiculous; I chide myself for being scared of a stupid house.
Emily walks ahead towards the door while I follow a few steps behind. As soon as I walk inside, the light turns on, and I'm greeted by a chorus of surprise echoing throughout the house, coming from people whom I only recognize half of. I stare at them blankly, unimpressed but just mostly confused. My mother walks over to me and gives me a big hug.
"Happy birthday, sweetie."
Birthday? I inconspicuously look at my phone. Huh. I could've sworn I've seen the date today at least a few times. A few moments later, Emily steps forward with a cake in her hands.
"Happy birthday babe," she says, immediately followed by a look of horror. "Becca. Sorry."
Of course Emily had planned this. It doesn't really matter if I wanted to have a stupid party. She had to go ahead and decide for me.
"Go ahead and blow out the candles," my mom urges.
I blow out the candles, faking a smile for my mom. As much as I want to storm into my room, I'm not about to break my mom's heart by causing some unnecessary drama.
--------
Just a few moments into the party, and I'm already exhausted–people lining up to greet me, asking how I've been doing since the accident. I realize that most people here don't know about my condition, which means I have had to engage in quite a few conversations about the things I've supposedly been doing for the past few years, things I have no recollection of, to which I gave vague answers to avoid having to explain everything.
I down my fourth glass of virgin cuba libre, eyeing the display of alcohol with contempt, resentful that I can’t drink because of the medicine I took earlier, when Zack drags me across the room to play some truth or dare with a bunch of people, some of whom I don't recognize. Thankfully, if there was one thing the sorority has taught me, it's that you don't have to know someone to ask the right questions or expertly avoid the common ones. That is of course until someone asks you the most unexpected question.
"Do you have a date for the wedding yet?"
I stare at them blankly, fumbling for words. Wedding?
"I–I–"
But before I can make up an answer, Kaitlyn arrives with Emily in tow, and that's when I notice it, the ring on Emily's finger. I gasp for breath, feeling like the air is taken out of my lungs. And I almost don't notice it when Kaitlyn takes out her guitar and starts singing, joined by the others.
When all the tears are rolling down your face And it feels like yours was the only heart to break When you come back home and all the lights are out And you're getting used to no one else being around
Oh, oh, I'll be there
I look at the unfamiliar faces, singing their hearts out, gazing at me fondly. I then turn my gaze to Emily's ring finger, and sitting on it is a small but glistening diamond and part of me chastises myself for not noticing earlier. I feel the entire room’s eyes on me and suddenly, it becomes too much for me to withstand. I stand up, scrabbling to go to my room, footsteps following behind me. Once I got on the stairs, Emily shouts my name from behind, and I stop at the sound of her voice, turning around.
"We were engaged? Why didn't you tell me?" My voice comes out harsher than expected and it seems to take Emily by surprise too because she just stands there motionless, speechless. “Marriage is a big thing Emily, that’s not something you can just conveniently not tell me.” I let out a frustrated groan, momentarily letting the anger wash all over me before I’m left with a bitter feeling in the pit of my stomach. “I’m sick of having random people tell me things about my life which I can’t even remember when my own fianc–” I stop, not even being able to say the word, shaking my head as the agony brought by my predicament proves to be too much. “I can’t do this. I'm sorry," I croak before running towards my room, slamming the door behind me. I then curl myself in bed as the tears fall freely.

heyya yaaaa~! I just finished reading all of your works and lemme tell you, it’s all so nicely written! keep on going and don’t forget to take breaks when you need it, hm? alright, me stating facts about you and your writing talent aside— may I request lilia, floyd, ruggie and silver? Angst with a happy ending please? You can make it angst due to a misunderstanding or sumn. but oh well of course! that’s only if you don’t mind. Take your time dear, it’s not good to force yourself alright? bye~!
I see you saw the note that even I can’t find anymore that Lilia always gets a free pass on my 3 character limit XD. Thank you so much! I have long ways to be a decent writer but I’m glad you found my works nice. The one with Lilia is actually based on my own experience at work and I was told that’s an anxiety attack so uh... Also, I do kinda have to force myself or I’ll just keep focusing on work and not have time for myself which is writing.
(I swear all characters are treated equally and totally no favoritism... oh who am I kidding? Hail Lilia)
Warning(s): Mentions of an anxiety attack on Lilia’s part.
Now, let’s enter this twisted wonderland~

At first, he thought you just need something for Jade which he doesn’t mind. Everybody needs help once in a while.
But lately you two have pretty much stopped seeing each other.
Anytime he asks the trouble trio, they always respond that you’re with Jade.
Excuse me, if you wanted to break up with him just tell it straight to his face?!
He’s honestly hurt though. He thought you two are hitting it off really well.
Once he confronts you about it, you’re in the kitchen of Monstro Lounge.
“Wait, what are you doing?” He looked so confused and enamored of your look with an apron on.
“Ruggie, I love you and everything but I’m in the middle of a shift right now.” You immediately replied as you see Azul tapping his wristwatch.
“You work here?!” He jerked back in surprise. “I thought you are having a tryst with Jade!”
Cue to you and Azul spit taking (away from the food, of course, you ain't unsanitary) while Floyd burst out laughing and Jade chuckling.
Yeah, turns out you’re the current cook in the lounge to save up some money to buy him a gift for your anniversary.
Psh, he knows that. He’s just testing you… yeah.
Feel free to tease him about it since he used to do it to you anyway.

Okay, surely you just need Vil for a question or two, right?
You keep making excuses to get out of his hair lately and he doesn’t like it at all.
Yet whenever Rook calls for you because Vil asked for it, you’re suddenly available.
His mood swings are worse than a pregnant woman’s so you better explain quickly.
“Floyd! I finally found you.” You greeted him three weeks after you two last have an actual conversation.
“Can’t talk right now, I’m busy. Why don’t you go back to Vil?” He snapped at you as he began walking away.
You merely blinked at his reaction and shrugged. “Okay, you gave me the go signal so don’t you go blaming me for it.”
“That wasn’t permission! Get back here and pay attention to me!”  He pouted and shook you violently. “Why do you always pay attention to Vil? I thought I’m your boyfriend?!”
“Well, my sense of fashion is wack so I thought I’d ask an expert.” You struggled to respond as you tried to hand over a box which made him stop shaking you. “Vil hooked me up to get these for you after being ordered around to do things… Happy anniversary… oh god I feel sick…”
“Eh?” He opened the box to reveal the Tenebres brand of shoes that he’s been wanting. “Shrimpy, thank you!!!”
Yeah, have fun trying to hold that nausea in because this eel ain't ready to let go just yet.

As much as Lilia is a great person to hang out with, he can be quite neglectful on certain things because of having too much fun.
You don’t show it that much but you do get anxiety attacks when you get surprised. While not severe it’s still quite a scary moment.
It doesn’t help that you’re carrying something very valuable and very fragile to Vil when he decided to pop out of nowhere upside down.
“What you got there, (y/n)?” He casually asked.
“Ah!”
A loud crash echoed in the hallway and your face pales up as Vil’s delivery is now on the floor, shattered. Just the sight of it is enough to send your thought spiraling as you can vividly picture Vil yelling at you for being careless and useless you can be. You are aware that your brain is exaggerating things but as your anxiety attack gets more prominent, the harder it is for you to breathe and rationalize which only made you panic. Your ears started ringing that you failed to hear Lilia calling out your name multiple times. You must have blacked out for when you regained your sense of focus and hearing, you can see a concerned Lilia hovering above you.
“Oh seven, my apologies little one.” He replaced the wet cloth on your forehead before continuing. “I should have known or at least notice you have anxiety attacks.”
When you’re feeling better, Lilia personally talked to Vil about the situation and offered to replace the said item.
Much to your surprise, Vil got mad at Lilia for causing your anxiety attack and even used his unique magic on the fae’s apron and favorite ladle.
Yep, the old man is currently banned from cooking. (Diasomnia sent Pomefiore their thanks that day.)
Nonetheless, Lilia is now careful about his random appearances and is now more attentive.
The downside is that he permanently has his dad mode on.

This man trusts you a lot.
He knows you won't force him to do things he doesn’t like and respected the fact that his main priority is to service Malleus. The same goes that you trust him that you love him and he won't force you to do things you don’t like.
So, when he saw you spend way more time with Deuce than him especially during his sword practice, he wasn’t pleased.
He’s rather blunt about it too that he just stops you in the hallway around other students.
“Why are you hanging out with Deuce too much?”
“He’s my friend, Silver. Of course, I’ll hang out with him when you’re busy.” You cocked your head sideways out of confusion.
He frowned, still not like the ache he feels in his chest. “Doesn’t mean you have to do it every time.”
“Hey, I don’t stop you from being with Mr. Draconia every time but I get restrictions? What happened to being fair to each other?”
“It's my duty to be around Lord Malleus, you on the other hand waste your time on someone else’s company.” He defended and straightened his posture unconsciously to assert authority. “If you have free time then watch me practice or something.”
“I did that before and I ended up falling asleep on the hard ground so you told me to do something else instead, remember?” You can't help but be hurt by the contradictions he spouting out right now especially since you two have garnered the attention of almost all the students nearby. “Can you take some time to cool down first before we talk about this again? I don’t want any misunderstandings to happen between us.”
“So you can go back to Deuce’s side already?” Anger slowly seeping into his visage but immediately disappeared with your hurt expression.
“Do you trust me so little…” You whispered not intending for him to hear. “You know what, fine. I’ll go to Deuce until you finally get your head straight.”
Let me tell you now, he feels everything just came crashing down. He never intended for it to cause a big rift between the two of you but at the looks of it, you two needed space.
The entire day this man will try to talk to you again but by some unknown force in the universe, there's always something preventing him to do so.
He’s so lost he can't even take a nap even in the comfort of the forest animals.
Deuce smacked him to his sense quite literally. Like, our delinquent boy just punched the living daylights out of this guy.
Deuce has to explain that you two are pretty much siblings when it comes to closeness and you’re always talking about him all the time.
Be prepared to be serenaded tonight, Silver ain't letting you leave him on a bad note.
Well, more like that’s what Lilia taught him to do since he was young.

「 qualia of a starry night ↠ lee minho 」
◦ tw : slight swearing
◦ qualia (n) /ˈkwälēə/ : the internal and subjective component of sense perceptions, arising from stimulation of the senses by phenomena.
You admit it, you’re a clumsy piece of shit who never watches where you’re going.
“Ow…” you grumble and rub your head, “Watch where you’re going! You’re getting my camera all scratched up.”
Minho glares at you. “Huh? Me?! You watch where you’re going!”
“Okay, okay, my bad,” you wave your hands frantically when he looks like he’s about to commit murder and point over his shoulder with your index finger, “I was- I was just looking at that!”
His gaze rolls over to where you’re looking at with sparkling eyes and ultimately, a disappointing sigh forces its way up from his throat. “They’re flowers, Y/N. You weren’t born this morning.”
Yes, your best friend is utterly, visibly confused as to why you would pay attention to a vase of purple campanula on some stranger’s porch instead of walking like a civil human being so you won’t get yourself into an accident.
Click.
To his dismay, your reason is painfully simple.
“It’s just that,” you lower your camera and smile. “They’re pretty to me.”
Oh, right. It’s your weird habit of capturing random things anytime and anywhere with that old camera you got from your dad on your tenth birthday. Be it the city skyline, a park full of monstrous middle school kids, or a latte from the café you two always come by after school—those mundane things, in your eyes, are certainly pretty.
Moreover, Minho doesn’t like the fact that 80% of your photos are all sent to an online friend named Hyunjin who lives across the country. Only idiots would exchange photos with strangers on the Internet.
Pretty, huh...
“Minho! Wait up! Stop walking so fast!”
“Stop taking photos of everything you see then, ya dummy.”
No, he doesn’t get it, at all. All he ever knows is dancing and moving forward. His heart only swells for dancing or at least things that are related to dancing. He does agree that a sky full of stars is better than a pitch-black one, that puppies and kittens are cute, that homemade food is better than store-bought. He doesn’t think more highly of anything that’s not dancing.
You strongly disagree.
Minho calls you lame for it. And you always protest.
It makes him wonder what the world looks like through your eyes—a rose-colored lens.
Dancing gives his life more meaning than anything else. Practicing and improving is all he ever cares about. You, on the other hand, can get distracted by the littlest things. But you will always make sure to walk side by side with him as if to announce that your existence in his life is very crucial. Every damn time, his heartbeat spikes, his breaths grow abnormal and his mind goes into an endless spiral.
Thud. Minho curses internally at the slight ache within his rib cage, a hand grabbing at the fabric before his chest. Tsk, how irritating.
“You sure like to waste your storage on stupid things,” he comments and watches as frosty white puffs out from his lips.
“They’re not stupid,” you purse your lips, “Hyunjin said I should take pictures of whatever I want.”
He nearly locks his jaw, “Why are you still bothering that kid again?” Thud. The ache is more noticeable this time, damnit.
“I’m not bothering him, it’s normal to send your loved ones photos once in a while.”
“You never sent any photos to me. Am I not important?”
“You never sent any photos to me,” you retaliate, stuffing your freezing hands into your pocket and your camera hangs loosely from your neck. “How about this, if you find something that’s pretty enough to take a picture of, send it to me and I’ll send you one right back.”
A smile blooms on his lips, moonlight bleeds into the atmosphere, and lights up his delicate features. “That’ll never fucking happen.”
You’re completely, absolutely in awe. Click.
Minho raises a brow, a little thrown off. “What are you doing?”
“I took a picture of you,” you try not to drop your camera as your fingers shiver ever so slightly. “Are you...are you mad?”
“You know, I used to hate getting my pictures taken as a kid,” he grumbles before burying his nose into his scarf. “But keep it.”
You tilt your head, the blush on your cheeks radiates warmth through the cold breeze. “Really? You want me to keep it? Why?”
“So you can blackmail me into start taking photos of stupid shit.”
“Since you insist, you scoff and do a full one-eighty, almost falling on buckling ankles.
Minho grabs you by the arm before your idiotic face can kiss concrete and dirt as your frantic hands scramble to regain balance on the fabric of his coat. A waft of your scent rushes up to his nostrils, overwhelming him instantly. Thud. The ache is getting worse but it’s really not bothering him anymore.
“Oh, sorry!”
He lets go of you and mumbles, “What were you looking at again?”
“The stars, look!” you giggle like a child before taking off running a few meters ahead of him, excitedly pointing to the dark canvas above.
“You little lameass-“
Time then stops. As if the red string of fate is shrinking nonchalantly despite his drumming heartbeat. Minho gazes at those bright friends of the Moon with their patterns so fixed yet so ever-changing, those distant lights humans yearn for.
And under a sky of perfect midnight velvet, under stars so brilliant they draw the eyes heaven bound, is you.
“Pretty, isn’t it?” you grin at him so beautifully it’s almost suffocating, “Come on, Minho. Don’t be so uptight. Calling them pretty wouldn’t kill anyone—“ Your words get cut off when the familiar ache returns. He’s terribly aware of it now. He hates it. He hates it so much. And yet...
Thud. Minho grits his teeth and squeezes the phone in his hand. Ah, I get it now.
“Yeah, pretty.”

The Bride C10
I hear my sisters screaming from the kitchens, promptly followed by loud crashing and the shouts of various other servants. Now this typically wouldn’t be alarming, until however, I hear them calling out to me. They would never do that unless something was direly wrong, they’re too proud, so the echoes of my name through the halls sets a pit into my stomach that has me swarming downstairs so I can get there as soon as absolutely possible. They have two maids cornered against the pantry, both have tears streaming down their faces, quaking with such force I’m convinced they’re going to fall.
“What’s going on?” I demand, skimming over the bunch to see if there’s any visual clues. Both servants have spots of blood adorning their aprons, not too unusual. What is out of place, however, is the pained look on Bela’s face as she holds a hand to her side. Daniela speaks without turning away from her targets.
“Three of our ungrateful maids thought it would be beneficial to their lives to attack us and escape.” She hisses, brandishing her blade at them hazardously. Three catches my attention, recounting I see the problem. “As you can see, sister, one of them managed it. She stuck Bela in the side and took off out the door. You need to go get her and bring her back before she gets to town or does anything stupid.” My eyes widen as I whip my head towards the cracked door, peering out past it to catch a glimpse of a figure fleeing off down the hill. I curse loudly, before taking off after her. She’s definitely faster than I originally anticipated, having made it a good portion of the way to town before I catch up with her. My fingers latch on the collar of her dress, yanking her backwards and off balance just enough to make her stumble, not quite enough for her to fall. The moment she regains her balance she twirls on me, looking like a cornered animal, I’m half convinced she’s going to start hissing at me. I recognize her in a heartbeat, it’s Claire, and my split second of hesitation is all she needs, thrusting her hand forward at me, sinking a knife she had so carefully hidden deep into my abdomen.
I gasp sharply at the sudden intrusion, both out of surprise and pain. Pain? Lots of pain-oh shit a LOT of pain. She tears her hand back, pulling the knife free, which both makes the sharp stinging better and worse. I catch a glimpse of the blade and I immediately know why it feels like she shoved a hot poker into my side. The knife she’s holding is one of the three all silver blades my mother kept as decor, given to her by my father when she agreed to marry him. Silver, ironically, one of the few things that will cause me immediate damage. It sticks to me like an infection, which is kind of funny, and if it isn’t treated it spreads like poison. It gets into my blood, like it reignites my disease, the veins from the wounds turning black as it spreads. The only reason my pendant hasn’t done that yet is Mother Miranda did some cracked shit to it when I first changed making it so it wouldn’t spread, which is honestly very fortunate given the fact it nearly melted into my chest from during my transition.
Her mouth drops open, like she wasn't expecting that to work and she lets go of the handle, letting it clatter to the ground. The blade is coated in my blood, shining black in the sun. Shakily I bring one of my hands up to the wound, my fingers barely graze it but the reaction is immediate and jarring. A scream tears from my throat, the girl jumps and starts running again. Another wave of pain shoots through my stomach making me whimper, it feels like she poured alcohol straight into it. I stumble forward a step, trying to will myself into motion.
I still have to stop her, get to her before she reaches town, but my foot catches on air and I fall forward. I barely manage to catch myself before I slam down face first. The impact itself is startling, but it does jolt my brain enough to shake me from my stupor. I know I’ll be fine, if I catch her in time I’ll end up killing her, she’s dead if I bring her back home anyway, but this way at least she can fix what she did to me. That’s probably the only bonus about who my mother employs. Only females, and all ‘pure’. Maiden’s blood is not only the best blood for us to make us stronger, but the only thing that really can heal this kind of damage in us. If I can just get to her, I’ll be fine. Getting to her, however, seems to be where the difficulties lie, as she seems very determined to make it as far from me as possible, and given the sheer amount of pain that rips up my nerves anytime I do so much as breathe, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do it.
I have to try. After all I’ve lived through, I refuse to die here on the side of the road, there by the fault of my sisters. With all the power I have left in my body I force myself to swarm, as it’s far easier to move at that point. Still, she moves faster, unwounded and already with a head start. Fate, however, seems to be on my side, despite everything that’s happened up until that point, because in moments she’s essentially swarmed by Lycans. None attacking her, just forming a wall of bodys so she can’t go any further. I make it a few feet from them before I’m forced to reform, dropping to the ground immediately and crying out on impact. Through the sound of the blood rushing through my head, the snarling of the Lycans, and the frightened whimpers of the likely soon to be dead maid, I can hear someone shout my name.
There’s a lot of distress in the tone, and for a second it sounds like it’s coming from everywhere, until I feel hands pulling at my arms, tugging me to turn over and sit up. Through  the black dots that are dancing across my vision, I can make out the vague details of my new company.
“Y/N? Y/N what’s wrong!” He growls, his yanking makes me groan, down a ways from us the sounds of crying and snarling grows louder, nearly drowning out his voice. He’s quick to snap at them, telling them all to shut up before fixing his eyes back to me.
“Heisenberg?” I choke out, blinking up in surprise. What’s he doing out here? He laughs slightly, shaking his head. He pulls off his dark glasses, revealing his brilliant amber eyes to me for the second time since we met.
“Darlin’ you look like you’re dying, I think you can call me Karl.” He says airly, clearly trying to keep the situation calm despite the amount of panic lacing his voice. “What did she do to you?” He stresses, glaring up at Claire for a moment before skimming up and down, locking onto where my hands are grasping. When he catches sight of the black blood staining through my fingers a deep dangerous sound claws its way up out of his lungs. He turns as if he’s going to start at her, but my fingers catch on the hem of his jacket before he can fully get away.
“Need-need blood-” I choke, looking at him for a moment before fixing my eyes on her, hoping he’ll understand the message I’m conveying, and judging by the dark look that storms over his face, he does.
*Heisenberg’s POV*
I’d first like to start this out by saying, no, I’m not stalking her. But after the terror in her voice when she begged me to leave, I had a feeling something was wrong, so yeah, I decided to keep a closer eye on her just in case. Doing so I had to make sure Lady Douche wouldn’t catch on, so I kept my distance, mostly having one of my Lycans hover around the property, and alert me when she left or if there was commotion. Imagine my surprise when after weeks of quiet, the idiotic creature sends out the danger sign. After so much calm, and immediate red signal sent me into high gear, with no idea what to expect I ordered a group of my higher functioning creations to run out ahead of me as I followed along, having them track her down and stand guard just in case. So when she finally appeared in view, a stunning cluster of brilliantly colored black and yellow moths, streaming after a human, the confusion laced in me was understandable. Until I saw her rapidly gain back her mass and drop to the ground like a stone.
Something was very wrong. I shouted her name and she barely responded, only focusing hazily when I grab her around her middle and hoist her up and over so she’s facing up. Her eyes are unfocused and I honestly can’t tell if she can recognize me. Her face is scary pale, drips of perspiration dotting her forehead and along the bridge of her nose. I want to laugh in relief when she finally responds, her voice crackling and light, the reply enough to encourage me she’s going to be okay. Until my eyes settle on her side, where her hands are clenched so tight I bet she’d have marks left on her palms from where her nails were digging in. Between her finger tips and soaking into her dress, I see the familiar and tell tale spread of black. She’s bleeding.
How the hell is she bleeding? Obnoxious whimpers remind me we aren’t alone, and my head whips to the side, fixing my gaze firmly on the girl surrounded by my creations. Did she do this? I’m going to tear her to shreds-at least that’s what I plan, before the light pressure on my jacket halts my steps.
She croaks out she needs blood before looking past me at the snivelling mess. If she needs blood to heal, I’ll get her all the blood she needs. Starting with the blood of the stupid bitch who hurt her, and anyone else it’ll take to make her better.

I Don’t Wanna Think About What It’d Be Like Without You
Master List
Damian returned home after his second time being out on patrol since the incident. Surprisingly patrol was pretty tame, he just had to stop one attempted robbery and tie up some creeps who were following some women going home from work.
After getting out of his costume and showering he made his way to his and his wife’s bedroom, ready to cuddle with her and then get some much needed rest.
“Hey.” Marinette greeted once Damian entered their bedroom. She was sitting on their bed, laptop on her lap but her eyes weren’t on the screen. In fact her eyes were blank and it took her a second to actually register that Damian was home from patrol. However once she did she turned her head, gave him a warm smile and got up to hug him.
Damian on the other hand, immediately knew something was up with his wife. She was working on autopilot again so he needed to find out what she was thinking about as soon as possible.
“How was patrol?” Marinette asked, breaking the hug by taking a step back but still giving him a soft smile.
“Fine. How are you?” Damian questioned, his eyes were staring into Marinette’s as he was trying to figure out what was wrong.
“I’m fine, just deep in thought.” Marinette swiftly replied, wanting to change the subject as soon as possible.
Damian paused, usually when Marinette was thinking about something she would ramble about it for as long as possible. Her wanting to quickly change the subject was not only out of character but meant something must be terribly wrong.
“What were you thinking about?” He asked as he made his way into bed with her.
“Nothing important.” She replied, putting her focus on shutting her laptop off and putting it away.
“Are you sure it was nothing?” He asked as Marinette went to go turn off the light.
“Yeah, I’m sure.” She answered as she climbed into bed next to him.
“You’re really sure?” He repeated.
“Yes, I’m very sure it was nothing.” Marinette responded, a tiny bit annoyed.
Damian didn’t even have to wait a full ten seconds before Marinette started talking.
“You remember a couple of months ago, when you had that really bad stab wound?”
“Yes.” Damian wished he could forget it. That the incident had never happened in the first place. He hated being so helpless and scaring his family so much.
“It’s just, my mind got hooked on that memory, that thought of you being so close to death and it spiraled from there and I started thinking, what if something like that were to happen again? What if one of these days I were to lose you? What if one of these days I did lose you? What if-”
Damian watched as his wife started rambling about this train of thought. Her eyes gained a far off look and at this rate she was going to send herself into a panic. So he did the only thing he could think of and kissed her.
Marinette was stopped by a random kiss on her forehead and she snapped out of her train of thought. Her eyes regained focus, she was pretty sure she felt tears, and she was staring straight into Damian’s green eyes.
“I jumped on a train of thought?” Marinette asked, eyes not looking away from Damian’s.
“Yes, you did.” He responded.
“Started rambling.” Marinette stated it as a fact.
Damian only nodded his head, pulling Marinette closer to him and Marinette laid her head on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her and she continued.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you like that.”
“Scare me?”
“Yeah?” Marinette backed up a tiny bit so she could look Damian in the eyes again.
“I’m sorry I scared you so much. I didn’t realize that you would be thinking that could happen.”
“Well you know me,” Marinette smiled despite the tears that now fell from her eyes, “Always thinking of the worst case scenario.”
“Hey, nothing like that is going to happen to me again. You don’t have to worry.” Damian tried and failed to assure her.
“But if it happened once that means it can happen again! I-I just-” Marinette took a deep breath to help steady herself, “I don’t wanna think about what it’d be like without you.”
“Marinette Dupain-Cheng-Wayne, I promise you that you will not have to worry about me leaving you anytime soon. In fact I’ll probably be around so often that you’ll be tired of me.”
“I could never be tired of you, I love you.” Marinette held his face in her hands and placed a soft kiss on his lips.
“You think you’ll be saying that in ten years?” Damian challenged.
“Absolutely.”
“Okay, I’ll hold you to that.”
Damian placed a soft kiss on the crown of her head. Marinette immediately started cuddling into Damian, her arms wrapped around his waist and her head on his chest. Damian wrapped his arms around Marinette and both went to sleep with small smiles on their faces.
-
“Hey.” Marinette grabbed her husband’s attention away from their sleeping child and onto her.
“Yes?” Damian turned to face her but did not let go of their sleeping six year old.
“It’s been ten years and I still love you.” Marinette smiled at him.
“Why wouldn’t you still love dad?” A voice piped up from the entrance to their bedroom.
Marinette turned around to see their eight year old daughter walking into the room. She held up a finger to her lips and pointed to the six year old that was still sleeping in Damian’s lap.
“What are you still doing up Parker?” Marinette asked.
“I couldn’t sleep.” Parker swiftly replied. “Now what’s this about not loving dad in ten years?”
Marinette was about to answer but another voice from the doorway beat her to it.
“Wait, who doesn’t love dad?” The other eight year old asked.
“Cameron, what’s your excuse for being up?” Damian amusedly questioned.
“Parker isn’t quiet when she walks, or opens doors.” Cameron responded, making his way over to the bed, with Parker letting out an offended gasp.
“I’m quiet!” Parker protested.
“No you’re not.” Cameron disagreed.
“Yes I am!”
“No you’re not!”
“Both of you need to quiet down before you wake up Ryan.” Another voice said from the doorway. The final child of Marinette and Damian joined them in the parents bedroom. “I could hear you all the way from my room.”
“Spencer, your room is across the hall.” Parker stated.
“Yeah, and I’m surprised you didn’t wake up Ryan with all that noise.” She retorted, motioning to their still sleeping little brother.
“Is this just party in the parents room now?” Marinette asked her children. “Spencer, what's your excuse for being awake?”
“I don’t usually fall asleep till midnight, it’s only eleven.” Spencer answered, making her way onto her parents bed like her little siblings.
“That’s not a good sleeping habit for a ten year old to have.” Damian commented.
“Hey it’s fine, plus Uncle Jon and Aunt Chloe are always talking about how late you guys used to stay up when you were younger.”
“That’s when we were teenagers, not just recently turned ten years old.” Marinette piped up. “All of you should be asleep right now.”
“I’m not going to bed until you answer my question.” Parker crossed her arms and stared at them in defiance.
“I’m not going to bed until Parker goes to bed.” Cameron added.
“And I’m not going to bed until the twins do.” Spencer stated.
“Parker, what was your question?” Damian asked, thanking his youngest son for being able to sleep through all of that. He did not know if he would’ve been able to deal with a cranky six year old.
“Why did mom say she still loved you despite it being ten years?” Parker repeated.
Now both Spencer and Cameron were curious as to why that would even be a question. Of course mom would love dad.
“Well ten years ago your father and I were having a conversation. Your father told me that in ten years I wouldn’t love him because I would be so tired of him. I told him of course I would still love him, and that's exactly what I told him ten minutes ago. Which someone who should be asleep overheard.” Marinette gave a pointed look at Parker who was smiling sheepishly.
“Now that we answered your question you have to get to bed Parker. All of you do.” Damian reminded.
“Aw do we have to?” Parker whined.
“Yes, you have to. All of you need to sleep, you’re lucky you don’t have school tomorrow or else you would be in real trouble for being up this late.” Marinette said sternly.
“But you guys can be up?” Spencer raised an eyebrow. Marinette will forever blame Damian for teaching her to do that.
“We spent most of the time we were awake trying to comfort your little brother and get him back to sleep. He had a nightmare and as you can see will not let go of your father.”
“I think that’s a completely justified reason to be up. Now come on Parker, we're going back to sleep.” Cameron grabbed his twin sister’s arm and started dragging her back to their room.
“Fine.” Like always, Parker put up no fight against Cameron, he would forever be her greatest weakness as she once put it.
Once the twins were in their room Spencer started heading to her room. “Night mom, night dad! See you in the morning.” And she was gone.
“Our children.” Marinette sighed softly as she leaned into Damian’s side, careful not to do anything that would wake their son.
“That we love very much.” Damian added as he placed a soft kiss on his sleeping son’s forehead.
“Wouldn’t have them any other way.” Marinette smiled as she watched her son smile in his sleep.
“Think he can go sleep in his room, or do you want him to sleep with us?” Damian asked his wife.
“He can sleep with us, just in case he has another nightmare.” Marinette replied.
“You just want him to cuddle with you.” Damian stated.
“That too.” Marinette didn’t even bother denying it. She wanted to enjoy all the cuddles she could get from her children before they grew “too old” for cuddles.
A stirring from their child caused their attention to shift and Marinette immediately went to check that he wasn’t waking up from another nightmare.
“Daddy?” Ryan quietly asked.
“Yes Ryan?” Damian immediately answered.
“You're not leaving right?” Ryan whispered.
“No, never.”
“But in my nightmare-”
“Hey, that’s what it was, a nightmare. I will never leave you.”
Ryan stayed quiet for a few moments, thinking over what to say next. For a six year old he was pretty careful with his words. Probably because he saw how many misunderstandings there were in the family when it came to communication and wanted to avoid that.
Finally he settled on the words, “I don’t wanna think about what it’d be like without you.”
Damian continued trying to comfort and reassure Ryan while Marinette was going through her memories trying to figure out where she heard that before.
She soon tuned back into the conversation and helped Damian comfort Ryan. Assuring Ryan that Damian was too stubborn to leave them anytime soon.
After another hour Ryan finally went to sleep. He laid between Marinette and Damian as they both tried to fall asleep as well. Right on the brink of falling asleep Marinette remembered.
“Oh that’s why it sounded so familiar.” She whispered aloud.
“Why what sounded so familiar?” Damian tiredly asked.
“I’m pretty sure Ryan quoted me without knowing it.” Marinette answered.
“Oh okay.” Damian responded before he went back to sleep.
Marinette shook her head at him before planting a kiss on both her husband’s and youngest son’s head. Then she herself finally fell asleep.

Note
I just saw your post about none of the other Weasleys coming to Percy's wedding and now I'm dying for a fic on this. I'd sell my soul for it. Honest!
I just have a few questions about what happened next:
- You didn't mention Charlie in the group not wanting to go. Did he attend or unlike the others he wanted to go but actually couldn't get away from work?
- What did Percy name Molly II then? Cause I doubt he'd name his daughter after his mother now? Audrey especially (if it is Audrey he married) would definitely put her foot down on that matter.
- What did mutual friends of Percy and the rest of the Weasleys think of the whole thing? We know what the likes of Muriel and Kingsley thought of the matter but what about people like Oliver Wood who knew them in Hogwarts? (Like I don't know if you play Hogwarts Mystery or if you do how far in the game you're at - minor spoliers ahead, but I imagine that Percy and Beatrice, whose older sister Penny is friends with Bill and Charlie in the game, eventually became friends themselves. There's no way then that the matter wouldn't catch Penny's attention and she takes her role as a sister seriously. I don't think there would ever be a way for the Weasleys to regain her respect after that.)
You don't have to answer those questions they're just things that popped into my head as I was reading. I would love to see any headcanons for what happened next if you have any.
To me Charlie holds himself aloof from his family so is somewhat distant. But would be there for others if need be, I feel like Charlie would either be the one to go or just be oblivious and forget. Or maybe there was a dragon emergency/can’t travel to the wedding. But would definitely send him a letter with a gift. A weird gift but one none the less.
I never liked that he named her Molly in the first place. She only reached out once in the books and didn’t stop the others from treating him bad and had even laughed when he was pranked, so no matter who he marries. Wether people like Audrey or Oliver they would be BIG mad. Like he suggests “Molly” and they go HELL NO! they debate wether they should even be allowed to visit the kids. Not until a apology is made. Jackie would be a good name instead. Not much meaning behind it. Like how Lucy is, ( that we know of )
I don’t play Hogwarts Mystery cause it just takes a lot of time and I don’t have much, so I’m not sure what she would think. Oliver is CRUSHED! I head cannon he has a small family and isn’t close with them so idolizes the Weasleys and loves Percys brothers. He is one of the most mad people. Like I feel like he would actively seek out George after and yell at him and scream that he wished he kicked him off the quidditch team in school and nothing could forgive what he’s done. If Charlie did end up not coming he’s disappointed in him. Anytime he sees any other Weasley he gives them the cold shoulder. Harry included. Penny is also mad but can hold herself back much further.
The rest of the extended Weasleys kind of hold back from them and they don’t notice till Ron’s wedding and NO ONE SHOWS! No one from the ministry and extended Weasleys do. Or school people. Staff alike except Minerva and even then she only really went cause Hermione.
I feel like a guest that did show would wonder aloud and Minerva would lean over and mention that the Weasleys skipped their 3rd sons wedding. A very beloved member of the Ministry, favourite student of the teachers and students alike so they skipped Ron’s cause why bother ( I head cannon that outside his family he was popular cause he always helped any student with anything they needed)
Percy would be hurt for so long and would have his confidence and self worth shook and his SO would spend so long trying to help him fight back against it. One day in the future he can find peace and while he doesn’t talk to his family much his kids talk to their cousins at school ( he encourages it cause the kids didn’t do anything) and he’s surrounded by people who care and that’s what matters. Holding onto those who don’t care as much back are not worth it,
When Albus is sorted into Slytherin and he sees the shift in his family I feel he would confide in Lucy and she would talk to her dad and Abus would be one he would talk to to inform him that he’s always welcome to stay with them. Percy knows what it’s like to be outcasted just for being different and would make sure that Albus would NEVER feel like he did. And when his brother and Cousin start pranking him ( aka bullying like the Twins did to Percy) Percy finally goes to talk to George and Harry and tell them they either nip this in the bud or history will repeat itself and threatens if they don’t he will let Albus live with him full time ( he already has a room for him)

SCP Academia Eraserhead Part 2
Reader: F
Characters: Aizawa Shouta (main); Kurogiri
Summary: After struggling to find his way out with Dr. L/N, Eraserhead is offered some help. (This turned into a lot more exposition than expected. Part 3 will get steamy though I promise! I’m just a hoe for setting the stage.)
Length: 1442 words
Warning: Yandere-themes.
Tumblr media
He had been running for a while now. Hallways and corridors bleeding into one another in a way that turned his head upside down. He hadn’t had to open any doors so far, and a strange absence of security set off little alarms in the back of his head.
Left…no right? He snarled in frustration. Curse this stupid foundation. He knew it wasn’t going to be easy but this was simply ridiculous. He peered down at your unconscious form, nestled protectively against his chest in a layer of his tendrils. So small and weak... he had to keep pushing forwards.
He had been forced to kill a couple of SCP’s along the way, not all being as sentient and rational as himself. Their desire to kill you forfeiting their rights to life.
Shit. Another dead end.
Something cleared their throat behind him, causing him to spin on his heel. His tendrils flared out ready to cut down whatever it was. To his surprise there stood what appeared to be a man made of mist, wearing human clothing. His sharp attire strongly contrasted his own, which consisted of an orange jumpsuit, the top half having been torn to shreds when he unleashed his tendrils, and a pair of standard issued boots.
“Move out the way. Don’t make me hurt you.” He didn’t have time for this, who knew when security would appear to regain control of the breach.
The mist man raised his hands to show his non-hostility. “You look a bit lost… would you like some help leaving this place?”
Eraserhead narrowed his eyes in suspicion. “Why would you help me?”
“Don’t you find it odd..” Ah great this might take a minute. If he wasn’t blocking off the hallway Eraserhead would have left by now, but the man in front of him didn’t look like someone he could simply side step.
“Beings such as ourselves don’t belong here. By all means humans are nothing more than fodder in comparison. And yet they contain us? They’re witty creatures with dangerous minds, it’s what gotten them this far. But so are we. This containment breach was no accident, I’m sure you’ve already noticed almost every enclosure open, save for the truly unhinged ones. And a complete lack of guards to corral you back to your prison. No, there are higher powers at play. But now isn’t the time to delve into that, so I’ll ask again… would you like some help leaving this place?”
The mist man finished his little speech and opened his arms, inviting Eraserhead forward.
“What’s the catch?” Eraserhead knew better. Nothing in this world was done from the kindness of one’s heart. Well, except for you. You were the only real kindness he had ever known.
The mist man chuckled. “I see you are a man of caution. Yes this exchange is not for free. We’ll be keeping tabs on you. Your intelligence and abilities make you a very strong creature indeed. One day we’ll need you to help free our kind from the shackles of humanity.”
Lowering his arms the man took on a more sinister aura. “Let it be known though, I don’t need your consent to teleport you. I’d choose my offer. After all that human in your arms looks so frail, she might not make it out here alive if you keep at it.”
Shit. This bastard wasn’t leaving him with much choice.. should he fight his way out? He wasn’t exactly sure what his opponents abilities were besides teleportation. Even if he erased them, can you punch a man made of mist? His clothes clung to him, but who knew his real body composition.
No. This man was too dangerous, and his threat towards your well-being still hung heavily in the air. “Alright. Deal.”
The mist mans nodded with a hum, satisfied with his answer. “Start with continent, State or province, then major nearby city. Small nearby towns if applicable.”
Eraserhead listed off what was asked of him. His goal was to bring you to his old self-isolation home. He used to live amongst humans with little to no problems. His larger than normal stature at 6’10” raised a few eyebrows but nothing too serious. He kept the dark markings along his torso covered, and a scarf helped to hide his deathly white complexion. As for the eyes, he always wore sunglasses.
His issue had arisen with the month of his “birth”. For as long as he could remember, during the month humans called November, he went absolutely feral. Losing all control over his himself he’d slaughter anything that crossed his path. He’d make sure to isolate before November came along, and for the most part it worked. He had lived many centuries alongside humans with only the occasional slip up.
Five years ago he slipped up. And the SCP foundation had been all over him ever since.
“I can’t get you to any of the nearby towns, but I can get you to the city,” the mist man stated. “Step forward, I’ll take you there now.”
With that the man began to spread out the mist that defined his body, pooling out until he filled the entirety of the corridor. Eraserhead stepped forward into the blackish purple abyss, his vision going dark. Squinting he tried to peer through the pitch black that surrounded him, until finally he could see again. Stars lit up the night sky above him, and the sound of cars echoed down far below. Stepping onto concrete he moved out of the portal. This creature had quite a powerful ability.
“What you do from here is up to you. We’ll give you some time to adjust and then we’ll contact you. Do not think that you can hide from us.” With that the mist vanished and Eraserhead was left alone atop a tall building with you in his arms.
It would be about a half a day of running to get you home from here. Meaning it would be wise to stock up on supplies now. That way he wouldn’t have any reason to leave you alone for the next week or two as you adjusted to your new home. The tall creature checked you over, making sure you wouldn’t wake up anytime soon before leaving you on the rooftop. It wasn’t an ideal situation, but he’d move fast.
Jumping from building to building he made quick work of locating and snagging some clothes from a local donation box in order to change out of the tattered orange jumpsuit. One extra-large black long sleeve shirt and accompanying extra-large pair of blacks pants. Grabbing a few bags that had also been inside, he headed for the nearest chain supermarket. He’d stock up on essentials like food and nest making materials, as well as daintier things that you might like such as feminine soaps and fluffy stuffed animals.
Due to the limitations in his interactions with you he didn’t really know what you’d want, but he had the rest of your time together to learn.
He was going to prove to you that he was the best mate you could ever dream of having. No one else would ever be good enough for you. And no one else would ever be good enough for him with you now in his life. He had never encountered a human like you before, and he’d be damned if anyone ever dared try to take you away or hurt you.
Making quick work of the supermarket he dashed out as the alarms rang. It hardly mattered though, he wouldn’t be coming back to this city. He had enough money stashed away that he’d be able to buy what he needed from small towns as to not draw attention to himself. Despite what the mist man had said about a new world order, he didn’t want to chance the foundation getting back on its feet and finding him.
Quickly climbing the building he left you on he was relieved to see your small form still sound asleep on the cold concrete. He wrapped his tendrils around his new stash of goods and scooped you up in his arms yet again, taking a moment to nuzzle his face into the crook of your neck and deeply inhaling your scent.
Even if he had to give up part of his freedom to get here, holding you in his arms had all been worth it. Now all he had to do was get you home, and then he’d make sure to repay every gesture of kindness you had ever shown him tenfold. His precious cute little human.

Astronomy was always one of your favourite classes. Spending hours looking up at the midnight sky and learning about the glittering stars that lit up the night always amazed you, whether you were at home lying in the grass or glancing into a telescope on the astronomy tower. Taking another look into your telescope you chart the last few planets for your project and take a deep breath of the clear, autumn air. Looking over to your right, you see a handsome boy with a mop of brown hair gazing at you. When the brunette sees you looking back at him his face goes a light pink and he quickly turns his attention back to his star chart.
Cute. You think to yourself, smiling slightly.
“Hey Fred, George?” you ask the red-headed twins by your side as you walk through the halls to breakfast. “What’s up, little star?” Fred questions. Little star was the nickname the twins had come up for you when they first found your love for astronomy and pairing it up with the fact you were much shorter than them, they thought it was perfect.
“Who was that brunette in our astronomy class? He was in Hufflepuff I think.” You started. “Ooh, does someone have a crush?” George teases. You can feel the tip of your ears go bright red at this. “what?! Oh, no, no” you stumbled quietly, taking a seat at the gryffindor table, the twins sitting across from you. “I just saw him looking at me in class and I was wondering who it was.” you finished quickly, starting to butter a piece of toast.
“Well my dear y/n,” Fred starts of dramaticly. “That was Cedric Diggory.” George finishes for him. “I’m surprised you haven’t heard of him before, he’s pretty popular.” He continues. “Cedric Diggory...” you test the name in your mouth, “Rings a bell, but i’m not quite sure, he plays quidditch doesn’t he?”
“Right you are y/n!” Fred smiles, shoveling a spoon of cereal into his mouth. Fred seems to take a glance behind you and his eyes widen as he breaks into a smile. “Speak of the devil, the bloke’s lookin’ at you right now!” he laughs and starts to wiggle his eyebrows at you. Rolling you eyes you slowly turn around and sure enough you’re met with a pair of beautiful grey eyes. You quickly swivel back around again and bury your pink face into your arms. “Blimey Georgie seems as though our little star’s got a big, fat, crush.” Fred jokes as he notices you embarrassment. “Can it Weasley, I haven’t even talked to him before.” you mutter. This seems to only send the twins into even more hysterics. Deciding to try your luck again, you turn around and look at the table filled with yellow and black ties, eventually again meeting the eyes of Cedric Diggory, this time feeling brave you offer him a smile and a wave. He grins back at you, and you decide you were going to try and talk to the adorable hufflepuff.
“shit, shit, shit.” you mutter to yourself running as fast as you could between crowds of confused students, you had spent too much time planning a new prank with the twins that now you were going to be late. You silently curse them under your breath. What made it worse was you had potions first thing in the morning and you knew Snape would bring hell down on you if you were late. Bursting into the classroom you made your way to the last open seat and hurriedly got out your parchment, quills and text book. “Nice of you to finally join us L/n.” Snape sneered at you. “you’re lucky this time, being right on time, but don’t think I won’t hesitate to take away house points next time, understood?” If looks could kill you’d be dead where you sat.
“Yes sir.” You say quietly, still slightly out of breath, you look up and suddenly the wind is getting knocked out of your lungs again, because sitting there is the boy himself, Cedric Diggory, you catch yourself staring and offer him a small smile before turning back to your papers, you didn’t need Snape lashing out at you again, he was being very generous already. As Snape continued to drone on and on about the importance of cutting your ingredients properly, after another gryffindor had botched his potion, a small piece of parchment is pushed your way.
Hey, how are you today?
reading the note, you grab your quill and scribble something back.
Bloody tired how bout you?
you slide the note to the brunette and await his response.
Bored, don’t understand how snape can go on and on for this long at a time, ridiculous really, no one cares.
you giggle silently and the note is ripped from you hands. Glancing up terrified, Snape is glowering at the two of you. “Writing notes in this class is strictly prohibited you two, 10 points from hufflepuff and gryffindor!” He shouts. You sigh and lay your head on your arms, wishing you were up in the astronomy tower with Professor Sinistra gazing at the constellations, you had always been one of her favourites.
When Snape finally dismisses class you stuff your parchment back into your bag and set off for transfiguration, turning out of the class you feel a warm hand gently grab your wrist, you turn around and meet those beautiful grey eyes, Godric you could stare at them foreve- “I’m sorry about that.” he apologizes, his head hanging motioning towards the classroom. You give him an understanding smile. “It’s alright, if anything im upset at Snape, that prat’s always getting in others business.” you say with a light laugh. Cedric seems to smile at this. “Guess we kind of got started on the wrong foot, I’m Cedric, Cedric Diggory.” He smiles, stretching out his hand. “y/n l/n” you say, taking his large hand into yours and shaking it. “Where are you headed y/n?” he asks. “Oh i’m on my way to transfiguration.” you reply back, “I’ve got herbology, but I was wondering if I could walk you to class?” You can almost see a light pink hue on his cheeks. You smile and agree making your way down the halls and corridors, making small talk with the hufflepuff, you don’t want it to end, the ways his eyes light up reminds you of the stars. “Well this is my stop.” you sigh sadly and look back at Cedric, thanks again for walking me.” you smile sweetly at him. “Anytime y/n, you’ve got astronomy later tonight, right?” he asks hopefully. “yup, I’ll see you there?” you wave at him. “see you then.” He agrees turning and heading to the green houses. You can barely focus on Professor Mcgonagall’s lesson, your mind constantly drifting back to those stunning grey eyes and soft brown curls, sighing in contentment you find yourself looking forward for astronomy even more than usual.
Fred and George immediately notice the look of love on your face and they silently began forming a plan to get the two together.
“Well hello there little star.” George says casually, sliding in beside you at lunch time with a wicked grin playing on his lips.“Why are you looking at me like that?” you ask suspiciously. “What? Little ol’ me? I have no idea what you’re talking about.” putting emphasis on the no. Fred chooses then to appear on you other side as you bring a spoonful of soup to your lips. “It’s just we couldn’t help, but notice you and little Diggory walking together, and you looked quite happy during class today.” Fred nudges you with his elbow. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, me and Cedric were just talking.” you state turning your attention back to your lunch. “Really?” George asks “because your blush seems to beg to differ.” he continues teasing you. You mentally curse your red cheeks, and continue to sip on your soup.
As midnight rolls around you all but jump and run out the portrait door to get to the astronomy tower almost running over the twins in your path. “Woah, slow down there y/n what’s got you in such a rush?” you sigh and try to push past them, “I’ve got to get to the astronomy tower you nitwits.” unsuccessfully pushing them over. “Alright, alright little star.” let’s get going, don’t want to keep your little prince charming waiting.” he says in a sing-song voice, referencing a muggle fairy tale you enjoyed. “Oh shut it you twat.” you roll your eyes at him.
Finally climbing up the tower, the sight of the scene in front of you never ceases to take you breath away, the beautiful carved stone of the castle and the midnight sky, littered with thousands of twinkling lights. You take a second to appreciate the sight in front of you until George pushes you out of the way.“Christ y/n you realize there are more people in the class right?” you scoff lightly at him before turning to see Cedric climbing up the stairs, his bookbag on his shoulders. “Hey y/n” he says when his eyes land on you, “hey Ced, you say sweetly, walking over to greet him. Fred scoffs at you “you’ve never greeted us like that now have you little star.” you give him a warning look feeling the tip of your ears heat up again before making your way towards Cedric.
“Beautiful night isn’t it love?” He says turning towards the dark sky, your knees start to weaken at the nickname, but you stay strong. “Sure is, did you get the paper done for today?” you continue on.
George nudges Fred, “let operation get Ceddy and y/n together begin.” he says with a smirk. Professor Sinistra soon begins today’s lesson, “alright everyone, grab a partner and head to your stations, make sure you have your. star charts and a quill” she announces. You immediately turn to Fred and George, you had the habit of working in a group of three and Profeser Sinistra never minded. The two red-heads must’ve had other plans though because they began to turn and walk away from you and your usual spot. Frowning slightly you turn around and run into what feels like a wall... There isn’t a wall here... Looking up you blush and begin to stutter out an apology, for you had run straight into Cedrics chest. He seems almost baffled, but soon regains his train of thought. “H-hey, um- y/n, would you like to be my partner? I-I noticed the twins already left so...” he asks quietly, you have the urge to just lean up and kiss him, but instead you take a second just to admire the adorable boy before you, his pink cheeks, the way his gaze seemed to wander, never landing on you, and how he figeted with his wand, twirling it around in between his fingers. “Of course Ced, let’s get started.” you smile at him and you see his usual happy personality return. Sinistra begins to explain the assignment in depth. “I would like you to locate and chart these stars for me...” she began to call out a list of stars and planets and you and Cedric began to jot them down. “Do you want to alternate looking into the telescope?” you ask, turning to the brunette again. “It’s alright little star, I know how much you love Astronomy.” Your breath catches in your throat. “you know about that nickname?” you laugh nervously. “Of course y/n, I always hear Fred and Geoge calling you it.” Was it just you or did he sound... Jelous? you didn’t get to finish your thought as Fred called across the tower. “Oi, Diggory! Get your own nickname for her, that ones ours!”
“Mr. Weasley!” Profeser Sinistra snaps, “turn back to your telescope and focus!” You laugh again and turn back to Cedric. “Well you heard him, you’re going to have to find a new nickname.” Cedric starts to think this over. “I’ll think of one soon, let’s get started.” You nod and clasp your hands around the telescope, pulling it closer as you peak into it. you begin to search for the different points, but instead get lost in all the beautiful sights. Without noticing you begin to trace the constellations and stare in awe at the faraway planets. You eventually start to call out coordinates to Cedric, but he doesn’t answer, turning to look at him, confused, he seems to be lost in thought, pondering a great question or rethinking a happy memory as he’s got a small grin on his face. You snap him out of his trance by waving a hand int front of his eyes. “Cedric? You in there?” you say jokingly, poking his nose. “hm- oh yeah! sorry about that where was Sirius again?” you roll your eyes and smile, repeating the coordinates again. This little exchange doesn’t go unnoticed by the red-headed pranksters, who feel the edges of their lips perk up. “Hey George, I guess they didn’t really need our help after all, they seem to be all over eachother already!” Fred sighs to his twin. “Maybe we can give them one last push later?” George suggests. “What did you have in mind?” the eldest twin grins mischievously.
“And done!” you clap your hands together and start to tuck your parchment back into your bag. “Thanks for writing those down for me Cedric, it gets kinda hard when i’m always looking at things off topic.” you giggle softly. “Anytime y/n I had fun.” he grins back at you, smiling fondly at the memory of you gazing into the stars, permanently engraving it in his mind. Handing over your star chart to Profeser Sinistra, the two of you begin to make you way back down the astronomy tower, joking and laughing all the way down. As you reach the bottom you feel a shoulder bump into yours and you stagger, tripping over the last step. You brace for impact, but instead you feel two strong arms embrace you and a distant voice saying, “can’t go wrong with the classics.” and a loud high-five. You were going to kill the twins. Looking back up at the hufflepuff boy, you begin to mutter out an apology for what felt like the millionth time today and begin to back away, the arms around you only tighten, you glance back up and meet again with those piercing grey eyes and melt. “It’s alright love, glad I was here to catch you.” If possible you can feel your check heat up even more trying, but again failing to look away. You’re about to open your mouth when Cedric speaks again. “I think I found a good nickname for you. Of course, if you like it.” he begins. “Oh? Do enlighten me Ced.” you tease. You can feel Cedric lean in slightly closer to your ear and with a soft voice he whispers.
“My star.” he says simply. “what do you think?” he’s smiling hopefully at you now. You changed your mind, the twins were now your favourite people in the whole wide world, well second maybe... “I quite like it.” you finally say finally, finding your voice again. “But, I’m not exactly yours yet am I?” you’re surprised at your own confidence. “Well, I suppose we’re going to need to change that huh? How’s Friday, 7 o’clock by Black Lake?” He says his smile growing wider. “You’ve got yourself a date Diggory.” you wrap your arms around the boy in front of you and feel him spin you around in circles, the both of you laughing happily. You and Cedric walk hand-in-hand back towards the gryffindor common room. “Thanks for walking me back Cedric, I’ll see you tomorrow.” giving him one last hug you turn back around and walk towards the portrait, whispering the password before walking in. “Soo?” George begins. “Are we the best or are we the best?” Fred finishes smugly. You wrap both of them into a tight hug. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!” you whisper into their shoulders, grinning like a madman, Fred and George were congratulating you and patting your back. Little did you know, down in the hufflepuff common room Cedric was smiling into his pillow as he drifted off into dreams, picturing the perfect date the two of you would share. He decided, maybe Astronomy was his favourite subject too.

It has now been 2 weeks since Techno's secret has been discovered, and needless to say, it was a huge weight off his shoulders.
He would still drink the potion from time to time, earning a small glare from his friends.
"Come on, it's not because I'm a giant that I have to stop seeing the world from your point of view. Plus I don't have to worry about crushing you or stepping on you everytime."
"Sure… but this better not have anything to do with your fears of rejection because we're humans. Because we told you-"
"-told you it's fine and we don't care and will continue to view you as the same person despite everything. I know." Techno finished with a smile.
And maybe he was still a bit insecure about the whole ordeal. Maybe. But he did his best to push his anxieties aside, and when the potion wore off, he would still hang out with his friends for a couple hours more. So it was progress!
Plus, while hanging with people at his real size, he found much more fun ways to torment his pals.
"Hey, that's not fair!! Give it back!!" Tommy yelled, jumping as high as he could
"Heh, if you want your Juke-box back, just come and grab it~" the giant taunted, dangling the precious object (carefully) a good 30 ft above the human. Wilbur and Phil simply laughed at the scene as Tommy tried to climb on techno's shirt, since he was lying down, only for him to fall back on the ground. ("It always seems so easy in the movies, what the fuck?! That's not fair.") Techno's movements always stopped as soon as he felt the boy trying to climb, and suppressed a laugh as he failed.
After a couple more attempts and laughter, Techno gave back the precious box to Tommy, who held it close to his chest.
"Oohh, my precious, how have I missed you"
"Come on, I only took it for 20 minutes" Techno snorted
"And that's 20 minutes of me being separated from my true love!! How could you" he said, overdramatically.
"What a vile creature I am, truly" he replied, deadpan.
Eventually, the conversation shifted back to random topics. It was nice.
After a moment though, Techno noticed Tommy staring blankly at him, silent. After a couple more seconds, the blond prompted.
"What is it like, to see things from up there?"
Everyone turned to look at Tommy. Techno raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"What's it like, you know? Because you can and have seen things from our perspective, but I don't know what it's like to have your eyes so up high."
Techno was taken aback. Usually they did not really mention their size difference, aside from jokes and nicknames. He felt his throat tightening a bit.
Before he could answer, though, Tommy asked. "Can you show me?"
Immediately, Techno's mind was filled with a thousand possibilities this might go wrong. He tried to mute them down hard.
"Well, sorry to disappoint you buddy, but I don't have any 'growth potion' so I can't really-"
"No, I meant like, you grab me up there." Tommy corrected, very casually.
Techno stepped back "WHAT? Tommy, I can't- … I …"
"What, is it illegal or something?"
Techno could only see thoughts of his friend getting hurt by his carelessness. He never held a human before! Not like that!!
"No, but- … I … what if I grab you too hard, or lift you too fast? Or if you fall?? I-"
"Well I'll tell you if there's something wrong, big man." Tommy reassured. "And don't worry. I'm not made of porcelain."
"I.. yeah, I guess so.." That didn't mean he couldn't get hurt by a giant. But oh well. Tommy seemed dead set on the idea, and no one can make Tommy deviate from his plans.
He swallowed back the lump in his throat and slowly lowered his hand until it was on the ground, next to his friend not bigger than it.
Tommy casually hopped on it as if it was the hundredth time he's done so, and looked at techno with kind eyes.
Carefully, he moved on to a sitting position, and, as he internally screamed for his morbid thoughts to stop, lifted his hand. Tommy lost a bit of balance at first, surprised by the feeling, but was fine the whole way through.
When the hand reached Techno's chest, however, he stopped. Dead still. Tommy's brow furrowed and he lifted his head to see the other's expression.
Techno's mind was frozen. It was one thing to imagine a human in your hand, but it was miles away from actually holding one.
He literally held a whole life in his hand,
and could do so as he pleases… He could do so many horrible things to the boy, who would be powerless to stop him.
And he could protect it. He was like a sanctuary for them to come to. He could wrap himself easily around his humans and keep them safe for as long as he desired…
So much power, simply sitting in his hand…
It was too much
So many thoughts screamed in his ears at once, and he could not focus on anything but the blond boy. He saw his lips moving, but couldn't hear anything. The overwhelming realisation hitting him too hard. So many images, contradicting each other. He could hurt them- protect them- squish them- keep them safe- kill them- make sure no harm came to them- imprison them- bring them to new heights-
"-no. Techno?? Big man what's up?? Come on, talk to us."
With a gasp, he finally regained his senses.
"I-I'msorry, I… I can't- I just can't." He hurriedly put the human back down, with rapid breathing. Before they could ask another question he reached for his potion and drank a good half of it and shut his eyes closed, desperately trying to shut the thoughts with it.
After a few agonizingly long minutes, he opened his eyes and, sighing with relief, registered he shrunk back to a human size. (One he could not hurt his friends with.)
Phil and Wilbur were already at his sides, with Tommy a few steps away.
"What happened, Techno? Are you okay??" Wilbur asked
Techno took a deep breath, and was immensely glad his thoughts quieted down to almost nothing. It was safe now. They were okay.
"Yeah- yeah… I'm fine." He took another deep breath and met Phil's sad expression. Guilt crushed him for a second.
"It's just… it was uhm… a bit too much. I, I didn't realize just how much… how much things it changes…"
Phil and Wilbur looked at each other, confused. Techno wanted to explain further, but the images threatened to flow back. He was stuck.
A mumble from behind broke the three of them out of their trances, and they looked at Tommy, shifting a bit at the sudden attention.
"I'm sorry Techno…" he mumbled again. "I should have known."
Steadily, techno stood up, taking a couple steps towards Tommy, who did not flinch. He let him close the distance, which he did with a strong hug.
"I'm sorry." Tommy whispered to his ear. Techno hugged back, holding the human like a lifeline. "That was probably too much."
"I saw so many things… I could do so many things… I don't want to hurt you" the giant's breath was shaking.
"I know, big man. And I know you won't." Tommy reassured.
"But it's so easy…" techno replied, loud enough that the other two could hear him.
"But you won't. The fact that you stopped the second you realised means that you won't."
Techno held onto the words, thought them back in his head, muttered them like a mantra.
"I won't. I won't. I won't hurt you."
"You won't. You're alright, big man. You're alright."
Slowly, techno let go of Tommy, who did the same.
He turned around and saw his two other friends. Immediately, Wilbur hugged him. He laughed in surprise before hugging back.
He then looked at Phil, and the guilt from before returned again.
"Sorry I took the potion." He mumbled "I wasn't thinking very clearly."
He felt a hand on his shoulder, and suddenly, Philza was smiling at him. A sympathetic, unapologetic, precious smile that only he could manage. "It's alright mate. It's probably scary to be so different sometimes. If you feel like it's better, then I trust you. We'll wait until you're ready."
He swore his eyes were teary, but he couldn't bring himself to care. "Thank you."
"Anytime, mate." Phil replied.
First times often aren't perfect, that's for sure. But one day, he would be confident enough that he could make them see the world from his eyes.
