THIS SHIT is the only thing that makes me happy these days. Only volleyball players on my mind. all day long. how do you expect me to work in these conditions...

I sure hope I can draw more of these fellas, there are so many characters that I like (my favorite is Nishinoya, he's definitely the one I'll draw next).

Kageyama, Hinata, Noya, Tanaka, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi stand near the windows, rehearsing Kageyama with his lines.

“Okay, I think he’s ready.” Tanaka declares with a nod. Kageyama stares down at his paperwork. “What if they’re busy?” “Then pressure them.” Tanaka states, but Tsukishima sighs, “Don’t do that. Just be patient.” Kageyama decides to listen to Tsukishima on that.

Hinata begins hitting Kageyama's arm. “Here they come!” Kageyama nervously begins to walk to them, but he notices they’re about to enter a classroom. He turns his head back to the others for help. Noya, Tanaka, and Hinata motion for him to follow. He gulps and turns back ahead.

Slowly, Kageyama stands in front of the doorway, clutching the paper for dear life. His crush sits next to someone, helping them with their assignment. ‘Shit. They’re already busy with someone else.’ Kageyama sighs, already giving up. He stares at them, and he continues to do so when he turns his body to head out, only to hit his head on the doorframe.

Kageyama groans and rubs his forehead in pain. “Kageyama!” He jumps at hearing them call his name. “Are you alright?” They place a hand on his arm, which flusters him. “U-Uh, yeah.” “That looked bad. Let me see if you’re bleeding.” Kageyama feels his face burst.

He can’t form any words as their hand touches his skin. “It’s not bad.” They say, then giggle. “Please be careful.” Kageyama nods. They put their hands down, then notice the paper he’s holding. “What’s that?” Kageyama snaps back to what he’s really here for. “Oh, uh, I was wondering if you could help me with my homework." He says it almost in a whisper.

They smile and say, “Of course.” They go ahead and sit on an empty desk, and he follows. He figures this is their classroom, so that’s done. ‘I just need their name.’

“Let me see.” Kageyama shows them the paper, and they read through it. “Hmm.” They look up at him. “Do you have a pencil?” “Uh…” Kageyama searched through his pockets, and thankfully he did. He hands them his pencil, and they begin to write.

“It’s asking you to form a sentence using the vowel word “a” as a beginning word. It doesn’t have to be complicated. It can be "a car” or "a cat." For this, it’s asking you for a complete sentence. So it can be “I have a car.” Do you understand?” No, he didn’t.

Kageyama nods either way. They smile and say, “Good. Here, I’ll answer one for you. You can use that as an example.” They write down a sentence, and Kageyama takes note of how elegant their handwriting is. They make writing in a foreign language look easy.

“You try.” They pass him the paper and pencil. Kageyama gulps as he reads the question. “Uh…” “Do you know what it’s asking?” “Uh…” Kageyama's eyes are glued to the words. He doesn’t know what to put there at all.

Kageyama finally writes something, but knowing his crush is watching is making him nervous. “There.” He passes the paper back, and they take a look. “A for effort.” They say, and he groans, “It’s wrong?” “Kind of. Look,” They scoot their chairs closer to him and move the paper in between them. Kageyama's heart beats fast when he sees his arm touching theirs.

Kageyama didn’t know what they were saying. He felt like he was going to explode at the physical contact they’re having right now. “Do you get it now?” Kageyama blinks, “Uh…Uh huh.” “Good.” They smile, and he looks down. “Is that all you need?” “Uh…” Kageyama's eyes widen. ‘Fuck. I need their name.’

He looks straight at them, and they sit there in confusion. “Is something wrong?” “Um…” How is he going to make them say their names? He looks at the questions and tries to think of a solution. Finally, he picks one and says, "So, would it be, [Kageyama eats a cookie and milk, together]?" He looks back at them with his cheeks flushed red.

They don’t say anything for a moment. “Hmm.” They nod with an approving smile. “Yes.” “Can you repeat it?” He asks. “Sure.” They clear their throat. "[Kageyama eats a cookie and milk together.]" Kageyama frowns. "That's not what I meant." They tilt their heads. “No? What did you mean then?” “Uh…like…”

“Kageyama!” He turns around and sees Daichi standing by the doorway in frustration. “What’re you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in class?” “What about you?!” Daichi crosses his arms. “I’m looking for Tanaka. I figured he’d be down here with you kids. Now, go to class.” He walks off, and Kageyama pouts.

His crush giggles and pats his back. "Bye, Kageyama.” "Bye." He gets up with his head down as he drags himself out the door.

Kageyama blows it once again.

notes: i love this

★ kageyama literally freezes. his body takes a screenshot. his ears perk up and his eyes widen and he has to fight the smile breaking out on his face. his cheeks get all red too and he has to calm himself down before he sees you.

★ kyoutani's heart starts beating faster and he lets a little smirk slip (he's really fighting a grin though). comes over to you quick and wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you close to him, a little more confidence in his step.

★ sakusa blushes behind his mask, smiling to himself. feels all lovey after and cuddles you a lot. secretly wants you to refer to him as only that from now on. gets kinda bothered when you don't.

★ suna pauses and comes over to you, no shame. 'so your man, huh?' all smug. only accepts that title from now on when you're talking about him. will interrupt you when he hears you on the phone calling him by his name, 'who?' leaves you alone when you correct yourself.
