sooooooo I just got back from watching Dr Strange 2 so spoilers under the cut
It was pretty good! The energy of the cinema I was in definitely helped with my enjoyment of it as they cheered when certain things happened and all that jazz but firstly the stuff I liked:
THE HORROR VIBESSSSS!!!! Unexpected but so good?? like I genuinely jumped when Wanda appeared many times and when she looked straight at the camera? OMG IM OBSESSED which leads me to my second point of things I liked WANDA HERSELF!!! omg she was so cool and badass but also redeemed herself at the end which I liked. Elizabeth’s performance was as always amazing and yeah her character is just so cool, especially in this film. I also really loved the ways in which they kept the fight scenes fresh, from the two doctor stranges’ fighting it out with musical notes to strange and mordo going back to the classic hand to hand combat it stopped any sense of repetition between the battles
Now what I didn't like:
The way in which America “realised” her powers, like it was just Strange saying “hey you’ve been controlling them the whole time” and then her going “oh yeah” and then just doing it??? Like idk let queen figure that shit out by herself or something also during that ‘heart to heart’ scene between her and zombie Strange I couldn’t stop laughing like idk who thought it was a good idea to have a sincere scene with a decaying corpse but it shouldn’t have happened lmao.
Next the cameos, I’m kinda torn on this because I LOVE JOHN KRANSINSKI!!! Also Professor X along with the alternates of Captain Marvel and Carter were cool but like they showed up and died almost instantly like 💀 and although I’m glad we don't have to see Peggy’s nazi ass again I feel like all of their characters could’ve been more in the film (before they died towards the end which I absolutely felt was necessary otherwise it’d probably get confusing with all these canon MCU alternates existing together). It kinda seemed that they were really only there after Marvel saw the success of NWH having secret cameos so MoM wanted to do the same thing 🤷‍♀️
So overall a good superhero film that I wouldn’t mind watching again even for just the Easter eggs but in the grand scheme of Marvel films? Its not in my favs

This is for those who give me the side eye,
When I walk down the grocery aisle.
This is to those men who whistle and bark,
When I walk the streets alone after it’s dark.
This is to them, women, men, society as a whole,
Who’ve made me an object, without a soul.
This is to you all, who judge and judge.
To show you that I refuse to budge.
To show you that my worthiness is not measured by the food I cook.
Nor does it depend on how I choose to look.
It is not defined by the clothes I wear.
Or the amount of skin, I choose to leave bare.
I am not a measure if the size of my waist.
Or the amount of food I usually intake.
My body is not yours to stare.
My life story isn’t your gossip to share.
I am not a sight over which your eyes may wander.
My sexuality ain’t for you to ponder.
I am not an add, I am not on sale.
I am not an object whose value you can scale.
Because before I am any other thing,
I am first a human being.
Someone with aspirations, someone with dreams.
Someone whose expectations you’ll never meet.
I am a mother, a friend, a sister, a lover.
I am more than just some pretty flower.
We are teachers, and doctors and so much more.
Engineers and atheletes with record breaking scores.
I am so much more than who I marry.
I have burdens that youn could never carry.
I am the reason that you even exist.
And yet you continue to be sexist.
You’d be nothing without me can’t you see,
The keys to paradise lie at my feet.
For I am a girl, a woman, and respect I demand!
Equality is my right! I am not yours to command.
I sm my own person I see and I observe.
And even I say “No!” I know what I deserve.
And if you still choose to judge, then do so by all means.
But judge me for who I am. Not on how I wear my jeans.

anyways here's a hot take about sharon's ending in fatws ( which, to preface, i hate, so im not justifying it )
we would've never gotten here if the mcu fandom hadn't pushed for it so much, specifically peggy stans and hayley atwell / hayley atwell stans.
to clarify, you all spent years saying that peggy wasn't just steve's love interest, that steve needed to move on, etc, but when steve moved on to sharon ( who btw is his ACTUAL soulmate and has been for 60+ years, not miss " emotionally abusive bigot " 616 peggy carter ), you turned it into a " steve is PEGGY'S man " / " PEGGY is steve's girl " argument. it was y'all that diminished her to that, AND you diminished sharon to that in the process ( because mind you, in terms of things canon to the mcu anymore, sharon did a hell of a lot more in ws + cw than peggy did in tfa, especially for steve ).
you harassed emily vancamp, you signed petitions to get sharon written out of the mcu, etc. YOU GUYS and *only* you guys, made it clear that you didn't want steve to be with anyone if it wasn't peggy or bucky. so then they sent steve back to peggy ( because let's be real, disney was NEVER going through o make stucky canon ) and then all of you complained that " it took away peggy's choice / authority / story / arc / etc ". YOU DID THAT TO HER.
you told marvel that the one person they were trying to set steve up with wasn't good enough, especially compared to peggy, so they gave you what you wanted and then you complained about it like brats because it wasn't ACTUALLY what you wanted, you just wanted to hate on sharon because she wasn't peggy or natasha, as if multiple badass shield agent women can't coexist.
after civil war, the rise of sharon hate grew exponentially with people claiming she MUST be a villain, or that she " feels " evil, or that she was clearly manipulating everything. and again, you harassed emily vancamp and you encouraged hayley atwell's vile behavior with cheers and laughter, and it got so far that they literally had to pull sharon and evc from the films for *five years.*
and now she's back. and again, because of the narrative that you guys perpetuated - that she was evil, a villain, manipulating everyone around her - that's exactly what marvel did. you said she was just a love interest so they did the opposite. and you STILL hate her. emily vancamp is STILL being harassed over the role. and when i say it's majority peggy fans, it is, because the only people i EVER see talking about how terrible sharon is are ones saying she " doesn't live up to queen peggy's legacy ". and while this might not be all peggy fans, im sure some of you are wonderful, it is a whole lot of you.
and now, after getting what you wanted AGAIN, you're complaining about how it " ruins peggy's legacy ". hate to break it to you miss peggy carter was not a good person, no better than sharon as the powerbroker. she hired multiple hydra agents into her organization for operation paperclip ( including zola who was skull's literal right hand man ), gave them completely free range and was oblivious enough in her own organization to let that run free. which means she either allowed it to happen or was an incompetent enough leader that it was able to.
second issue? the fact that she was the director of shield the ENTIRE time isaiah and that group of black men were being tested on, tortured, killed, beaten, and anything else that happened. shield was the most influential government establishment in the mcu pre - winter soldier, not to mention the fact that they're generally known for handling enhanced beings. there's ZERO POSSIBLE WAY she did not know about what was happening. which means she was, again, either an incompetent leader or a racist ( like she is in the comics ). because him being in prison for 30 years means it had to have been a prison that could contain a super soldier, could test competently on super soldiers, and had the ability to erase everything about him. *aka shield.* so either ALL OF THAT happened right under her nose or she stood back and let them do that to him.
sharon didn't ruin peggy's legacy. peggy didn't have a legacy being a good person to begin with. which is FINE because she's a government agent, but it's absolutely NO excuse to use her " golden accomplishments " to justify your vile treatment of sharon carter and it never has been.

If you think about it, there could be a universe where the peaky blinders, the crown and captain America the first avenger all happened in the same time line.
Imagine that
I really need to know what would Tommy Shelby think about fucking Steve Rogers
Or
The peaky blinders AND the queen badass bitch Peggy Carter.
Or
Tommy Shelby, Alfie Solomons, Howard Stark and Peggy Carter in the same room.
I would pay MONEY to see that
In this essay I will explain-

What If...: S1-EP1
(DISCLAIMER: MY OPINION IS MY OWN AND CAN BE DEEMED INVALID TO THOSE WHO DON’T CARE FOR IT.)
This is the first draft I have saved from the ones created about a year in advance so we’re gonna start with this series lol. I know I’m extremely that’s because life has gotten in the way, but as Joni Mitchell once said, “I’ve looked from both sides now” and I’m ready to get this shit started!
What If... Captain Carter Were the First Avenger?
Tumblr media
“Time, space, reality... it’s more than a linear path. It’s a prism... of endless possibilities.” - THE WATCHER
RED SKULL was lookin’ bad.. as usual, lol
HOWARD really just made a miniature TONY lmao. This man really said, “What are you crazy?! I push the buttons. I’m the button guy. Tech and bullets don’t mix.”
...well, your son changed that...
Tumblr media
AGENT CARTER, a real one
Now imagine if she would’ve come out buff af like the HULK?? food for thought.
“A skinny kid from Brooklyn...” - THE WATCHER
Now, what did STEVE ass think he was gonna do???
This colonel ain’t shit.
Bruh... now Ik she’s upset... but she really is just fuckin’ that entire wall.
“Maybe you haven’t found the right partner?” - PEGGY
He slammed that shield down like it was nothin’.
NOW THAT LANDING WAS FUCKIN’ DOPE
PEGGY WTF!?!?!?!
THOSE MEN ARE OUT OF COMMISSION!!!!
Usin’ that shield like a fuckin’ boomerang
BRUH SHE WENT STRAIGHT FOR HIS FUCKIN’ KNEE!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
PEGGY was basically doin’ a slight jog alongside that motorcycle.
Memorable Dialogue
DUM DUM - “Since when did dames fight like that?”
*sees CARTER demolish a group men*
DUM DUM - “Since today. Understood.”
CAPTAIN CARTER - “Are you the 107th? I’m here for Sergeant Barnes.”
BUCKY - “Who are you suppose to be, Queen of England?”
*sees her ripe off the caged door*
EVERYONE - *GOBSMACKED*
Busted out that door like g’s.
Ofc STEVE’s iron suit looks almost identical to Tony’s first suit.
“I always thought PEGGY was a real knockout!” - Colonel
once again, ain’t shit
CAPTAIN CARTER + STEVE ROGERS = LEGENDARY DUO
It’s amazing how this voice actor sounds so close to Chris Evans.
Dudes, I’m telling you... a love like theirs cannot fuckin’ exist in the real world. That shit is poetic.
Damn STEVE!
PEGGY has always been a badass but she really showin’ out now.
SHE KICKED THAT MAN IN HIS FUCKIN’ CHEST!!! HE IS DEAD DEAD!! LUNGS ARE NO LONGER FUNCTIONING!!
Tumblr media
Not him falling over kmsl
Well.... we all know the fate that lies ahead for her
She’ll get that dance soon...
__________
AHHHHH!!! I hate myself for not watching these episodes sooner! I really enjoyed this first episode of getting a glimpse of Peggy as the British female version of Captain America. She was a fucking badass and I can’t wait for what the next episodes have in store! Until then, remember that everyone’s a critic when their opinion matters the least.

I am watching What IF...?
Episode 1: What if... Captain Carter were the First Avenger?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know... when I saw that it started from the breach in Captain America timeline and saw Peggy become a super soldier, I was pretty sure that Steve will resent her for what she did, because his portrayal in the First Avenger movie even before the serum indicated that he would be, just like he was of Bucky for being drafted while he was left behind. It’s canon behavior for him as far as I noticed.
What If..?’s Steve however is a better man. I dunno when exactly he changed, but he did. He doesn’t act as if he resented Peggy, and he seems quite ok with how everything turned out. Which is like, wow, I didn’t expect that. Also, Peggy has a far better story as Captain.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, she isn’t put into USO, she is denied being a soldier even, because she is a woman, the only thing she seems to share with Captain America is murdering punching bags and throwing stuff when angry, which is kinda a bad sign, but ok, everybody needs coping mechanisms. ANYWAY, when she learns where Hydra went, she quickly figured out what they were after, but the guy in charge (John Flynn), the same one who told her that she is a woman not a soldier, doesn’t want to send her there even though they still have a chance to get it back in time. So Howard steps in and her whole rebellion against the military is about not endangering everybody with a stupid ass decision made by a general who doesn’t get how important the cube is, instead of about saving just one man and accidentally saving 400 others by extension by literally going AWOL and endangering his friends like MCU Steve did. Everything about the mission which makes her recognized is about retrieving the Tesseract. And Howard gives her a uniform and a shield to do just that. All in British colors, because American military sucks.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I love their “she just reaped the bars out, holy shit” faces xD)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND THEN they go SAVE BUCKY. That makes much more sense story wise. And also Howard is showing Steve that technology can aid him when the serum now can’t, because Peggy is the super soldier instead, literally building better foundations for Steve’s attitude towards technology and the future. He will not be stuck in ice and come back for the Avengers, but at least he is getting better development not only in relation to this topic, but also to his hatred towards his body and his masculinity. Peggy still wanting him despite him being small and frail and now also disabled even more after he was shot and has to walk with a cane, literally builds in Steve the idea that his masculinity is not weak or bad, because he is not a macho muscly type and that his body isn’t something which he should hate or which makes him less than others. AND he is literally Tony now! I did suspect that the technology he got was a suit, but damn, is Steve in this universe fated to be the first Iron Man and then Tony second?
Tumblr media
Lol, they named him “Hydra Stomper”.
Tumblr media
And now Peggy teaches Steve the most important lesson “the Suit is nothing without the man inside”, which he as much as Tony needed to learn to finally feel free and not less than the others, because they rely on something. The only difference between Steve and Tony here is that Iron Man without Tony is truly nothing, because he made it, while Steve's suit was given to him, so anybody can technically pilot it. Anyway, I like this Steve so much more than MCU one.
(Which when I think about it now creates a pothole in the later part of the episode. Like why Hydra and Red Scull let the suit hanging instead of use it against Peggy? Why put Steve in chains next to it? It kinda looks like damseling him for literally no reason. I wonder why they didn’t kill him right away? Because what? Because he had blonde hair and blue eyes? Or what? Scull liked him? And we cannot even say it was done for the sake of Peggy saving him, because Peggy never sees Steve in chains. She went the other way, so why is he there? To save for whom? Bucky? It would be more logical if Red Scull just killed Steve and put the suit himself and fought Peggy in it to hurt her. Then at least space squid wouldn’t kill him, lol... ah wait. OH, yeah, Tesseract was inside the suit, so he just took it out. Still, he could power up the suit with something else and put one of his people inside to fight Peggy anyway, just in case she came for him).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND OF COURSE HE HAD TO TRAGICALLY DIE WHEN I FINALLY STARTED LIKING THE WEASEL! LOL, we know what will happen next. He will become the new Winter Soldier, I suppose? If he survived the explosion.
Oh, they brought the original castle storyline back! It never appeared in the Captain America: The First Avenger, even though I personally remember a castle being a main stage for the whole “Steve sacrificed himself prelude” thing, so it’s nice to have a castle and an interdimensional portal back, instead of a plane battle.
“I am up for anything, but this is crazy”.
“And so is Steve Rogers”
Me: *wheezing*
Anyway, he survived. There is no Winter Soldier in this universe and Peggy gets lost in the portal, and she is brought back to 2012 by I suspect Project Pegasus as it is the “Loki’s arrival” scene.
I think that now, if we assume that everybody else is still present in this universe, meaning that Tony became Iron Man and all, Steve becoming a Hydra Stomper and working with Peggy gave Captain Carter an experience in fighting alongside someone in a metal suit. Plus her friendship with Howard means that she won’t have any bad disposition towards Tony and hence Avengers team will actually work better, and if there is Civil War it would be different and about something else, because Captain Carter knows her way around learning political related stuff, so she wouldn’t really kick Accords in the ass unless it was a Hydra plot. I also suppose that without her making Project Paperclip, Hydra would not infiltrate SHIELD, or someone else does that, and Captain Carter would notice something is not right with SHIELD, and she would root the Hydra out herself.
Also, I wanna point out that the scene in which Peggy is shown to be “smarter than Howard” is there only to establish the difference between her and MCU Steve Rogers, who doesn’t know shit about technology. It’s not that Howard isn’t smart anymore. He is a civilian, who is not a brawling type, in a room with a huge octopus which crushed Red Scull like a wooden stick. It stands to reason that he would be panicked enough to not be able to articulate properly. It also establishes that no “it runs on some kind of electricity” will happen in this universe during the Avengers storyline, where she ends by the end of the episode. It comes out a little out of the blue, that’s true, but this is not a line which only “genius” or “science type” can say. It’s just a typical sci-fi approach to the problem with anything, which also sounds smart at the same time. She could even take it out from a sci-fi novel. But I agree that they didn’t establish where that knowledge comes from in any of the previous scenes.
Episode 2: What if... T’Challa became a Star-Lord?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lol, a vastly different reaction xD
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this was the moment when young T’Challa thought, “who needs to tell their baba that they’re going into space, anyway?” and just went and disappeared. I don’t even wanna know what Wakanda did after the prince vanished. Though it means that Shuri can become a queen and the Black Panther now, HELL YEAH!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this is the proof that anybody who says that we have to murder someone else to “save the planet” from overpopulation is wrong. (Because they are wrong, just go and check studies about that). T’Challa just showed Thanos the benefits of equal share of the resources and saved the universe with logic and diplomacy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And my hopes for Queen Shuri just went out the window. BTW, why Nebula turned into a living example of “blue space babe” (from feminist studies which pointed out that alien women are just human women painted colors and shown in sexy clothes or portrayed as dancers and prostitutes for the benefit of the male gaze). She got sexy hair, sexy dress, and she is later shown to be some kind of spy by the clothes she wears and her general attitude. She reminds me so much of Natasha that I am tempted to say she is a sexy spy cliché.
Tumblr media
It’s kind of degrading after the whole episode which centered around a woman being denied being a soldier, which in the whole militaristic and male dominated setting was pretty much conveying feminist messages, while here in another male dominated setting we have only two women shown with any lines and one of them is Nebula sexy spy. It just comes across weird after the previous episode, tbh.
Tumblr media
She even speaks like Natasha from the MCU... and she betrays just like our dear russian friend, Natasha. Anyway, it looks like Queen Shuri is still on the table! Wakanda prevails! It was not destroyed!
Ok, nevermind. She is a space Black Widow, but in this way that she plays every side just like Natasha does. Apparently... betrayal was part of the plan, lol. What is with this idea that women named with a name starting with N are good spies in this universe?
Carina the badass! GO CARINA! SHOW THEM!
At least in this universe, she doesn’t foolishly die for “drama”. Or, in MCU’s case, for exposition to show “what happens to those who touch the infinity stone”. I gotta say, her revenge was sweet.

So I was watching What if…? On Disney+ and I have to say that “I would LOVE to have this picture be on Displate.” (That shop that have awesome posters made from metal) and then it got me thinking…
How would this “What if Peggy Carter became Captain America?” impact the fandom of Marvel Comics?
I tend to enjoy (or dread) overthinking about alternative universes and replay possible scenarios in my head.
Would we have accepted a female super heroine like Captain Carter back then? Sadly, I would say no (I would gladly say ‘Yes’ in the 2000’s but I need to be in an old mindset). In the 1940’s Marvel comics did have a comic book heroine called Patsy Walker and obviously this comic was indeed aimed towards teenage girls (she is a girl with no super powers and she was cancelled in the 60’s) but if we have introduced Captain Carter in Tales of Suspense #63 I don’t think she would receive a positive reception because war is a masculine and also it’s a dangerous occupation and if women join the army, they would only do supportive roles.
Captain Carter might’ve been a popular icon for those World War pin-up girls (“Steve Rogers did indeed hit that nail on the head when he jokingly stated that at least you aren’t forced to smile on stage and selling war bonds”) yes ladies and gentlemen… sex sells. So we would eventually accept Captain Carter but for the wrong reasons… if you are a man...
Tumblr media
If you are a woman however… Now, I will admit that I’ve never watched Agent Carter (but this What if did make her a badass and I am all up for that!) So with the women doing the supportive roles in the war (medical and mechanical… yes during the Second World War Queen Elizabeth II served in the army as a mechanic), Captain Carter would’ve been an icon for women by encourage woman to have the same rights as men and fight in the frontlines but since the higher ranks are in fact men they wouldn’t feel ready to actually allow women to fight in the frontlines (women got to vote and they get less pay then men… sadly no fighting for the women) and this is where Peggy Carter becomes an icon for women. So if women can’t fight in the frontlines (you can’t Mulan your way in)… they could however fight within enemy lines, women can’t be soldiers but they can be secret agents.
Well for starters in 1966 we would have an altered theme song.
When Captain Carter throws her mighty shield
All those who choose to oppose her they must yield
If she’s led to a fight and a duel is due with the red and the white and the blue comes though
When Captain Carter throws her mighty shield.
I think I would personally would dread to see Captain Carter being overly sexualised in the 90’s (skinny and big boobs).

Ten of my favourite fictional women for women’s history month
I was tagged by the ever lovely @valentinaonthemoon! Thanks so much lovely! :)
The following is in absolutely no particular order.
1. Leslie Knope (Parks and Rec)
Tumblr media
A very passionate, very kind and amazing and hardworking but who is also flawed and can let her passion blind her to the truth sometimes, and her habit of digging her heels in can sometimes get her in sticky situations. I love her lots and lots and the level to which I relate to her is probably not good. I often say I am like the English Lit Leslie Knope with bonus anxiety. I love her lots.
2. Skye/Daisy Johnson (Agents of Shield)
Tumblr media
A badass queen who I love SO MUCH. Honestly her arc in AoS is just one of my favourites of all time. She is funny and passionate, but also headstrong and determined (sometimes to a fault). I love that she is not perfect, that she is flawed, and has been through so much and still chooses to be good. I love her lots.
3. Jemma Simmons (Agents of Shield)
Tumblr media
A wonderful science queen. She is just SO fundamentally good. Her curiosity and wonder for the world (and universe) is just so inspiring to me, but again her love and passion (esp for Fitz) can sometimes blind her to the reality of a situation but I still love that about her (it’s a very human trait to have). It has been an absolute privilage to watch her go from this very bright eyed, naive and curious young woman, to a passionate, badass, yet still so fundamentally kind and caring woman. Again, one of my favourite character arcs ever. I love her sososo much.
4. Peggy Carter (Agent Carter and wider MCU)
Tumblr media
She is nothing like me and yet everything I aspire to be. What an absolute badass. She’s so intelligent and just such a role model to me. She stands for no shit and never sacrifices an OUNCE of her femininity to do it. Before coming across her I had never seen a character who was like that, who could retain this utter solidly badass personality and still keep this femininity, who liked having her hair done, who wore lipstick and skirts. I struggled so hard in my teenage years with reconciling, particularly femininity and intelligence, I wanted to be taken seriously but I never thought I would be if I was in a dress, and Peggy was the one who really changed that for me and I started embracing more traditionally feminine things. I just love everything about her, she has a temper, she lets her anger get the better of her sometimes, SHE IS NOT PERFECT (are you noticing a theme) and I just love her so much.
4. Rose Tyler (Doctor Who)
Tumblr media
Again, a very formative character for me. She was working class, she was amazing and smart and sassy and most importantly for young me, SHE WAS BLONDE. I had grown up with the dumb blonde stereotype being put on me (despite never really being unintelligent) and hadn’t ever really seen a blonde character who didn’t slot, at least partially into that stereotype. She is fierce and firey and can give anyone exactly what’s coming to them. She is brave and wonderful, and so incredibly human. I love her lots and lots.
5. Beatrice (Much Ado About Nothing)
Tumblr media
My snarky love. You all know how much I love Much Ado right?  Her “Oh god that I were a man” speech is just one of my favourite pieces of writing at all time. I could write multiple dissertations just about her, she is so endlessly fascinating to me in all of her iterations. A woman scorned and holy shit she’s gonna let you hear about it. One half of the best (SUSPECTED) lovers to enemies to lovers. She’s so INCREDIBLY witty and sharp and she’s just so BITTER about whatever the hell it is that Benedick did to her and ugh I just love her so much.
6. The Thirteenth Doctor (Doctor Who)
Tumblr media
I cried at every single episode in her first season because I was so happy and so overwhelmed that The Doctor was FINALLY a woman. She is intelligent and quirky and just wonderful, whilst still retaining that really deep seated anger and kind of fury that The Doctor holds within them self. asdfghjkl I love her so much.
7. Anne Eliot (Persuasion)
Tumblr media
My soft, quiet, pining queen. Wants snuggles but only gets struggles. Pines for nearly a decade for the same guy (a full mood) and MARRIED HIM IN THE END BC HE ALSO PINED FOR HER FOR A DECADE!!! Underappreciated by her family who are arseholes and deserves so much better than them and Jane Austen gave it to her and we cannot help but stan for that. I love her so very much.
8. Darrell Rivers (Mallory Towers)
Doesn’t have a gif :(
Mallory Towers by Enid Blyton was my favourite book series growing up. I have read it more times than I can actually count. My copies are the most loved books in my collection. Darrell was the first character I ever remember relating to. There’s a passage in the first book where she sits down with her teacher bc her marks aren’t very good and they talk about how some people, like her friend Alicia, can muck about in class and be silly and still get good marks, but other people, like Darrell, need to focus and concentrate in order to do well, and that HIT HOME with 7 year old me. She has an awful temper and says things in spite and anger that are really quite awful, but always feels bad afterwards and really is just a good egg. I love her lots.
9. Sibyl Crawley/Branson (Downton Abbey)
Tumblr media
An all time fav. An absolute SWEETHEART but will absolutely tear you a new one if need be. It’s been almost ten years and I am still absolutely DEVASTATED by her death, we were absolutely robbed of seeing her as a mother, she would have been absolutely incredible. Part of one of my favourite romantic plotlines of all time, they shoudl have had their own show, Julien Fellowes fight me. I have so many feelings about Sibyl I could not possibly do them justice in just one small paragraph. I love her SO MUCH.
10. Elizabeth Bennet (Pride and Prejudice)
Tumblr media
A sassy queen who is stubborn and benefits immensely from admitting that she was wrong. One of my favourite characters of all time, Jane Austen knew how to write characters SO INCREDIBLY WELL!! I think we have all met someone like Elizabeth Bennet in our lives. Declares she will never marry for anything but love (we love to see it) even if it means she will either be a spinster or destitute (probably both). I love her so much.

most powerful women in movies/tv shows (in my opinion)
not gonna lie i either wanna be them or i wanna be with them
i talk a lot about movies characters (especially mcu.) than tv show characters but i have so many more poweful female characters in my sleeve that i can do a part 2 if you'd like!
also please leave me your opinion in the comments i'd love to know your view on these or even different characters
pictures are not mine - found them on pinterest
WARNING: MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS!!!!
1. Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games series)
Tumblr media
let's not lie, if it wasn't for this queen right here, our generation wouldn't be so brave and bold. words cannot express how much power she holds. 13 year old me wanted to be her and nothing more, and let's be honest 5 years later i still wanna be katniss.
2. Hermione Granger (Harry Potter series)
Tumblr media
gotta be honest for years i despited her. she seemed annoying and i just didn't like her in general. but as years went by i realized that hermione is actually an amazing character. her most powerful moment was definitely punching draco malfoy in the face (let's be honest). but at the end of the day she taught us how to be badass with books and wisdom not only punching or shooting arrows
3. Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter series)
Tumblr media
she thought us how to be ourselves no matter what others say. whenever i feel embarrassed with the things i love or the way i just am i just remember that luna lovegood would not only love me but she'd be my no.1 fan.
4. Peggy Carter (MCU)
Tumblr media
underrated QUEEN. if you still haven't seen the show Agent Carter shame on you. she is practically behind everything that happened in mcu (except all the galaxy stuff obviously). she's behind avengers because without shield, avengers would never happen. why? because peggy carter is the founder of the shield. also don't even get me started on how dirty endgame did her. she really poured last bits of steve's blood into river and she moved on, but why not erease that whole moving on thing and get her back with steve who apparently cannot be with anybody else than peggy (i believe if there was a much better writing we'd see how beautifly would steve move on, but that's for the next time)
5. Nebula (MCU)
Tumblr media
another underrated queen 'cause y'all SLEEPING on her. if it wasn't for her dear tony wouldn't have survived in space more than 5 days. even if it was hard for her she was able to disobey thanos and go with her sister and become a good person. you could see that magneficent character development in endgame where she did not only kill her 2014 self to protect people that were there with her but she also worked with avengers which she'd never do back in the gotg days.
6. Okoye (MCU)
Tumblr media
once again ANOTHER underrated queen. i haven't seen a lot of people talk about her which is a huge shame. she's not only badass but she was able to stand up to the love of her life to protect her king and her nation and that proved us that she does not need no man. and when she laughs oh my god so gorgeous!
7. Hela (MCU - Thor Ragnarok)
Tumblr media
the POWER (that's literally all i have to say).
8. Fish Mooney (Gotham)
Tumblr media
the rightful queen of gotham. all i can say is that if she was in game of thrones the night king would be dead by the season 2.
9. Margaery Tyrell (Game of Thrones)
Tumblr media
if she was there in season 8 when they were deciding on the next ruler of the six kingsoms she'd be very hot candidate. they'd never have more loving and rightful queen like margaery. absolute queen.
10. Rowena MacLeod (Supernatural)
Tumblr media
!!!!!MAY INCLUDE SPOILERS!!!!!!
(i'm still catching up on s15 and i've heard some things, i don't know if they're true or not but there's nothing mentioning that here)
absolute legend i'd have to say. she made me love scottish accent. but other than that she practically owned every single episode she's ever been in. she also made supernatural even more watchable. (also ruth is a total sweetheart and i absolutely love her!)
