So what is Cyberbites? {Mirio Fan anon}
HELLO ANON YOU JUST HIT BRAINROT PLACE AKAKAK!
Ahem.
Sorry for the outburst. Anyway! Cyberbites started with the want for the aesthetic and imagery that could be brought to the hero academia world of the punk variety, so for slapping that into our beloved green boy, some drastic things had to be done for him to get away from the Aldera delusion.
A fight with Bakugou is the lead to that, not one of their one sided fight no. Izuku fought and drew blood with his teeth, and so he may have ingested quite a bit of the nitroglycerin like sweat, enough that he was definitely unwell, and Bakugou would know that, he studied what he quirk could do and entail very much, and yet.
Aldera forced both boys to stay, to wait for their parents. When Inko arrived at the school, quicker than any of the fashion entangled of the explosive boy could, all of them could see the moment Izuku passed out, blood pressure too low.
The week past quickly, Izuku is hospitalized and taken out of Aldera Middle school, and with the choice, he chose to conclude his studies via online courses and tests.
Now faced with tremendous freedom of time, Izuku walks, and has time to sink a bit in his rancor and sincerely rage at his society, at the way he was treated.
Did you know, there's a bit of culture in delinquent school gangs fights and the counter it has on the "upright" societal culture?
Did you know that it is Canon that in middle school, Mirio looked a lot like a gang delinquent?
Well, combining all of that, makes Izuku and Mirio meeting very much more spicy and with weight in this au, specially since it is still a fight between the two.

How would Izuku, Bakugo, Shoto, Dabi, Eijirou, Mirio act when they cum early?
Have I ever written something like this? I don't think I did, odd, but fun.
Pairing: Izuku Midoriya, Bakugo Katsuki, Shoto Todoroki, Eijiro Kirishima, Mirio Togata x Fem!Reader
Taglist: nsfw, smut, marathon sex, rough sex, cunnilingus, blowjobs, embarrassment, praise, affirmation, cuddlefucking, kissing
A/N: I love new ideas, keep them coming (like these characters will be)
Tumblr media
Poor Izuku is so embaressed that he finished in a few pumps that he pulls out and backs up, face aflame and getting worse as he sees his cum pouring out of your pussy. It's a hot sight but he barely got in there and he already came. He feels like he should have more stamina then that because of his training. He's feeling the anxiety and the pressure to make you come and doesn't know how to fix it because he's already soft. You see how much its affecting him right now and you pull him close and on top of you, his soft cock pressing against your clit and the outside of your pussy. He might be soft now but you can get him going again. Besides, it took a lot for him to get into the prime fighting shape he's in now right? Same thing with sex, you just have to keep practicing until he can go all night.
Tumblr media
Bakugo is pretty snappy when he finishes early. He's angry, not at you, at himself. He's not selfish, not when it comes to sex, he loves to make you come, loves knowing he's making you feel good, hearing you moaning his name so of course he's not stopping just because he finished early. He keeps his cock snug inside your hole, feeling the combining warmth around his cock. If you think he's quitting now you must not know him as much as he thought you did, if he can't make you come with his cock then he'll use his hands, he's always been good with them. Besides he'll be hard again soon and then you're in real trouble because he intends to creampie you until your pussy can't take anymore, in a manner of minutes or hours, doesn't matter.
Tumblr media
Shoto blinks a few times, in minor disbelief that he just came. Huh. You must have effected him more then he thought. Take that as a compliment because very few pussies have made him come earlier then he wanted to. He keeps his hips rolling slowly while kissing your neck, running his hot and cold tongue across your sensitive skin. Moan like that again, say his name like a prayer and he'll be hard again in minutes. If he does pull out it will be to change positions and get behind you, your ass in the air for him, his cum trailing down your thighs and onto his hard again cock. You ready for round two? He promises to make you see stars first this time.
Tumblr media
Eijiro laughs a little at himself before his face gets sad. Well... that very embarrassing for him. And he's the kind of guy who can go for a very long time when he's in your mouth, who knew that just a taste of your pussy would make him lose his composure. In that case... can he use your mouth to clean up? While you're doing that he's not gonna leave you hanging, he made you dirty too. With your mouth on his dick and your sopping cunt in his face he doesn't have to ask to know when you're close. He can feel your thrusting into his tongue, your pussy flowing with his cum, dripping onto his fingers before he wipes it away and pushes it back in. His cock will be ready for your pussy again soon, you just keep working your magic tongue on it.
Tumblr media
Mirio holds your hips upwards, pounding into you with full force, he's rushing towards him coming, he wants to come, even if its faster then he usually does. When his cum is spilling down your stomach he chuckles and winks at you, rubbing his hands together and wrapping one hand around his cock, giving it a few quick strokes before putting you on your side and thrusting his cock back in, he doesn't care that its currently soft, your pussy will get it rock hard in no time won't it? Yeah, because you love how it feels, how he feels, how he whispers into your ear, your pussy all but jacking him off at this point.

hii, so what do you think will happen to Deku?? ive been seeing soo many people on my tl saying that he'll end up quirkless and i know its not supposed to be like that but now idk anymore and with this last chapter i think he may end up quirkless which i hate btw. Anyways, what are your thots on this and where do you think the memory thing is going?
I'm sorry to say, but I've been a "Deku ends up quirkless" again truther for many years. To me, narratively, it just makes sense for the overall set-up of the main question of the manga: "Can I be a hero?" which has kept coming back in the endgame to come full circle.
Tumblr media
In this story, we have learnt that all kinds of people can become heroes: people with "villain quirks" (like Shinsou), people with niche quirks (Aizawa, Monoma), people with troublesome quirks (Mirio), people who don't even use their quirks to be heroes (Hatsume). So I don't see how it would be only the MC, who needs specifically the greatest power in existence to be a hero. Deku needs to be able to face his quirkless middle school self and tell him with all confidence that "you can be a hero too".
To me, given how OFA evolved (the multiple quirks, the shortcuts to 100%, the short learning time), it would make sense if Deku's journey is not to be an empty chalice / tool for OFA, but OFA to be the tool for him to discover his own strengths (physical, mental, battle IQ, etc.), learn how to fight and help him to become a hero.
All Might even did the test run for an Armored Hero, mimicking the quirks of Class A and held up against AFO just as well if not better than people with quirks did. That plot is way more fitting for Deku who has actually been relentlessly studying his friends' quirks and with proto-Deku being an actual tech hero.
And on top of it, I think that Deku staying as ridiculously OP as he is would not give him a happy ending. OFA has no reason to exist once AFO (the quirk) is gone for good. Staying so OP would send Izuku down the road of All Might 2.0 - whether he wants to or not - with no life for himself. He's self-sacrificial enough that if he has the power to do everything, he will keep doing it and run to every corner of the world to help. It's isolating and that rat race is not what makes Izuku as a person happy.
He's someone who likes to hang out with his friends, stop to chat with people he saved and make candy apples to make them smile. That's where his true happiness lie imho.
The only question mark I have is because of Bakugou's ridiculous power-up. I've always thought Bakugou and Deku will end up around the same power level in the end (to keep the whole rivals thing going into post-franchise movies). Probably Shouto too, but that's less of a given.
But now, I'm not sure how Horikoshi will balance this. Bakugou is still nowhere near full-power Deku, but Armored Deku I don't think would be a credible rival to 2xAwakened Bakugou. So because of that, I can imagine, Hori will do the typical Hori-thing and won't commit and will go instead for some half-ass solution of nerfing Deku just so (e.g. having him keep Black Whip or have some asspull of the super strength fuse into his DNA, or get a quirk back from Tomura...) and then keep the fandom arguing who is stronger.
For me, the narratively more compelling story is to have Deku wake up quirkless after the big battle, after he saved the world and getting a few chapters of him getting back to his feet, and not a single soul question whether he still belongs to the hero course because of course he does. And then have absolutely everyone help him - to pitch in money to develop his armor and help him train and everyone (and especially Bakugou) treat him as absolute EQUAL and as an inspiration. And then have him graduate from UA as the first ever quirkless hero ever (and go on to work as hero partners with Bakugou probably).
Hori said that he has a lot of stuff he wants to draw after the war, and I think something like this would make sense.

For the ask game, how about an au where Aizawa quirk is actually gene manipulation, everyone just assumed it was just quirk nullification cause the quirk factor was the only part he knew much about when he awakened it
Izuku just happens to ask more questions than quirk specialists
Aizawa casually says 'oh yeah, Erasure works by deactivating the plus alpha factor in the target, that's different than these bullets' in the meeting discussing Eri. Izuku is too busy being horrified about the poor kid to really latch on to what his teacher said until later that night. He goes to talk to him, and Aizawa is bracing himself for a repeat of his conversations with the other students and sending him to Hound Dog or All Might. But then Izuku says "hey, did you say your quirk alters a person's dna so it temporarily does not express certain traits??"
Aizawa blinks. "What." Izuku repeats his question. "Uh, yeah, i guess it does- Midoriya what are you doing?" (he's pulling out his notebook and furiously scribbling in it.) Izuku looks up at him and Aizawa (king of 'just shove all the bad emotions too far down to see and never speak about it') decides to indulge the distraction only because he does not want a Kamino 2 Electric Boogaloo. Izuku asks many questions, and Aizawa has answers to about one in three of them.
It goes unmentioned the next day, and Izuku refocuses on Eri. Then its raid time baybey! Annnnnd Aizawa takes a chrono-arrow for Izuku, getting captured. Chronostasis has a reason for keeping him alive, and Aizawa (slowly) tries to get info out. he sadly cannot break Chrono's arms, so he's got to be trickier. he (slowly) says that Chisaki would have just had Chrono shoot and take his quirk if they were worried about fighting it- implying Chrono should have been entrusted with bullets but wasn't- so they must want it. but (he continues, slowly, while Chorno sits bored on his back) between erasure and gene modification, they have what they want from Eri, so why take him too?
Chrono does take a second to go 'wait, gene modification?' because he and Chisaki never were sure how Erasure worked, but he's also not going to give his prisoner answers so he just says 'youre smart enough to know why a backup is still nice to have' and looks around impatiently for a sign that Chisaki won. When he doesn't get it, he shifts and takes Aizawa's knife. Aizawa remembers Izuku's question and thinks 'well. no time like the present' but since he's still blindfolded, he can't look at Chrono and try anything. He can, however, look at himself- as Chrono brings the knife down, he's suddenly impaled by a sword fish and also several hardened spikes sticking out of Aizawa's back which then immediately retreat as he winces- 0/10, do not recommend using your quirk on yourself the first time. His eyes have never burned this much before and that's really saying something.
"What the hell." Suneater barely manages to say as he drags Chrono off, still also holding up Mirio. "Frog girl. how long has your teacher had multiple quirks?" Aizawa gets picked up, answers no questions (he can think later about Izuku's questions on his quirk, or his report on Kirishima's quirk in the last partner project), and goes to erase Eri so Izuku doesnt cease to exist. He does not mention his true power to Mirio- he could, in theory, re-wire permeation into his body, but only until he blinks. He does not re-register his quirk to update the information. However, as he starts training Eri, he also starts practicing to see what else he can do.

Izuku’s Lee Mood
My Hero Academia
Lee:
Tumblr media
Ler:
Tumblr media
Summary: Izuku can't help but find himself in one of his love/hate moods: a lee mood! How will he ever deal with this lovely curse all day?
*Warning: Contains small amounts of swearing
Izuku Midoriya woke up today in a lee mood. He knew it right away the moment he woke up. He couldn't stop giggling no matter what he did. "Dahahamn ihit! Whyhy tohodahahay of ahahall dahahahays?!" Izuku said as he got up to get ready for class. He loved/hated when he was in a lee mood. Ever since he was a kid, he's always had random lee mood days when he wanted someone to tickle him crazy. He assumed he grew out of it after attending UA, but he was proven dead wrong today. He didn't know how to handle this. He could never bring this up to his friends. They tease him about his ticklishness already. If he were to admit something like this to them...but then again, if his friends did know about his lee mood, then he could get wrecked with tickles, his favorite activity. "Ugh, stop it, Deku! You're an adult now, stop acting likena child!" Izuku managed to say before leaving for class.
Izuku wished he had stayed in his room. The day has been one close call after the other. First, after one of Aizawa's lectures, Uraraka and Iida walked up to Deku. "Hey, Deku! Iida and I have a question for you!" Uraraka said as she lightly tapped Deku's shoulder. Izuku’s brain interpreted this to scream like a girl and almost laugh. Both Uraraka and Iida were taken aback by this sudden action. "Midoriya, are you okay?" Iida asked. "Yesimtotallyfineokaygottagobye!" Midoriya said quickly as he left in a hurry. Both of them were left in shock.
Next, during lunch Deku was talking with Todoroki. "I heard that our next lesson's gonna focus on combat training against people who put us at a disadvantage" Midoriya said. "Interesting. I wonder who I would be put up against. Hunter outmatches me in power and abilities. Yaoyorozu can create weapons and defense to counter my ice. Your Quirk allows you to outmaneuver me. There's also Bakugo, with his insane agility and raw power" Todoroki answered back. During their conversation, Kirishima accidentally bumped into Deku. His brain, once again, interpreted this to scream and giggle. "Midoribro, you good, man? That was-" "Yeahimtotallyfinenothingtoworryaboutkirishimaokaygottagobye!" Midoriya once again ran out, leaving his friends confused once again. "What's wrong with Midoriya? He's been acting more awkward than usual" Todoroki asked, to which Kirishima shrugged.
What really made the day a lot more embarrassing was combat training. Midoriya was put against Hunter, who was playing a villain in this scenario: Midoriya was attempting to save a hostage (Mirio) from a villain who outmatched him and had to find a way to get the hostage to safety. During their combat training, Deku's sparring game way totally off, not just because Hunter had better versatility and combat ability, but Deku's lee mood was slowing him down, and it was showing. Usually, Midoriya had no problem fighting against Hunter and won five times out of ten, but he had to concentrate on not breaking down laughing while also keeping Hunter away from the hostage at the same time. Not an easy task for the One for All wielder. Toward the end of the training, Hunter slid in on ice and pushed Deku back with wind. He then caught Deku with a new move he made: lighting ropes, tying Deku up in midair. Deku struggled to get out, but he couldn't help but get that feeling again. His body was tingly all over and he couldn't help but laugh. Hunter, still playing the villain, smirked and decided to mess with the hero for a bit. "Looks like I caught me a hero. Let's see if I can make this hero talk" Hunter walked up to Deku with his shit eating grin and chuckled. "Let's see if you know anything useful, little hero" Hunter poked Deku's chest, and in return he got a full on screech laugh. Deku's screech laugh was so sudden and loud, Hunter jumped back and lost his grip on the rope, too shocked by what happened just now. Everyone else in the class just looked at Deku like he was crazy, including Aizawa. Deku just turned red on embarrassment and stayed quiet the rest of the day.
Once the day was over, Izuku immediately went to his room and plopped on his bed. "Damn it, Izuku. What is wrong with you? You shouldn't be like this. You completely embarrassed yourself today!" Deku groaned as he buried his face in his pillow. Just then, he heard a knock on the door. He decided to stay quiet, not ready to face anyone after today. The door opened slightly, and Shoji walked in. "Hey, Midoriya. May I come in?" Shoji asked. Deku didn't respond, but he didn't say no. Shoji sat down next to him and looked at him. "What's up with you today? You've been jumpy and very weird all day." Deku didn't want to answer. "Come on, Midoriya. I'm worried about you. You're not acting like yourself. Well, you are, but not in a normal sense. You get what I mean?" Deku just sighed and sat up straight to look Shoji in the eye. "It's...complicated," Deku finally said after a moment a silence. "Complicated?" "Yeah. I...I don't know how to explain it." "Well, take it slow. Try to describe what's wrong slowly. Start from when you woke up." Deku thought about this for a moment, afraid but excited to tell Shoji. "Well...I woke up today feeling...strange. It was like..." Deku had to hold back a powerful giggle in order to not embarrass himself...but he also wanted to giggle to give away to Shoji what was wrong. Aaah, this was so confusing for Deku!
Shoji noticed Midoriya trembling slightly, as if holding something back. A sneeze maybe? A cough? Or maybe...
"Midoriya, can I try something?" Shoji asked. The question took the young hero in green off guard. "Uh...sure?" "Okay. Lay down please" Delu did as he was told reluctantly. He was a bit confused but also excited to see what would happen. Was it possible Shoji knew? No, he couldn't know. Deku has never told anyone about this. The only one who knew about his lee mood was Bakugo, but even he would never openly admit something like that to anyone because of how ridiculous it is. "First, do you want me to do what I'm going to do?" Shoji asked. "What?" "Do you consent to what I'm going to do?" What are you going to do, Shoji?" "You'll see, if you consent" "Uhum...I guess I consehent-" And just like that, Izuku couldn't hold back his giggles any longer and just burst out giggling.
It was mainly Shoji's fault. It was he who started tickling Izuku’s sides the second he consented. "WAHAHAHAHA! Shohojihihi!" "So, I was right. You do have it" Shoji tickled Deku's sides a little faster, making Deku squirm violently. "SHOHOHOJIHIHI!" Deku screamed. But...this is what he wanted. He didn't want to move. He didn't want to run. He wanted to stay and let Shoji wreck him.
It seemed Shoji understood what Midoriya wanted because what he said completely shocked him. "You've been having a lee mood, haven't you?" Midoriya only laughed loudly at that, confirming Shoji's guess. "No wonder you've been jumpy at touch. You just wanted a little attention." Shoji decided to switch it up. He grew six other arms and looked at Deku with an evil smirk (not like he could even see the smirk, but Deku could just feel Shoji smirking at him). "Well, I know exactly how to solve your problem" "HOHOHOW?!" "How else, Leezuku?" Shoji teased as he went absolutely ham on Deku, tickling every inch of his tickle spots without rest. Deku, being the energetically ticklish baby he is, screamed bloody murder and laughed so loud the window in his room broke. He couldn't help but wiggle and giggle like he's never done before, but he never tried to escape. He was in heaven! He loved Shoji's fingers wiggling in the hollows of his armpits. He loved the way his fingers traced his ribs and his small belly button slowly. The way his fingers danced all around his knees, teasing him more and more as he got closer and closer to his death spot. Shoji was also having some fun, wrecking Midoriya like this. "Having fun, Leezuku?" "YEHEHEHEHES!" "Good" Shoji said as he stopped. Izuku, although still dying like a hyena, noticed that Shoji stopped and started complaining. "Whyhy dihid you stohohohop?" "Because you're having fun" "Buhuhut thahat's not fahahair!" "Sorry, Midoriya. That's just how it is" "NOHOHO! Plehehease keheheep gohoing!" Deku begged. Shoji's ears perked up hearing this. "Come again?" "I wahahant mohohohore! Mohohore more mohore!" Deku laughed while complaining and whining like a brat. Shoji chuckled. "I don't think you do" Deku whined even more. "Oh...it seems the little brat doesn't like to be told no" Deku kicked Shoji's leg in retaliation. "That's it, you brat" Shoji scooped Izuku in his arms and went to town on his hips, squeezing and scribbling them. "BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"Midoriya quickly started crying from laughing so hard, his squirming and wiggling never letting up. Yet he still intentionally opened up his other tickle spots for Shoji to attack, and Shoji obliged. Both of them started laughing as time passed on and on.
Twenty minutes later, Deku had enough and called it quits, but Shoji continued to tickle him to ensure that all of his lee energy had left his body, which took another ten minutes. Once Izuku calmed down enough after the tickling, Shoji sat down on the bed with him. "Is that better, Midoriya?" "Yeah...thanks..." Deku answered. "How did...you know-" "You're not the only one I've met with a lee mood." "No?" "No. You'd be surprised by how many of our friends here have lee moods." Like who, Shoji?" Shoji sat and thought for a bit. "Well, Ojiro has a lee mood and comes to me every time. Then there's Kaminari, Uraraka, Ashido, Koda, Kirishima, Tsu, Hunter... I can name more if you'd like" "Wow. So many of our friends have lee moods too...I thought-" "You were the only one? Not even close" "...And what about you, Shoji? Do you have a lee mood too?" Shoji didn't answer and looked up for a moment. Midoriya could've sworn Shoji was embarrassed because of his small blush. "You must be tired after all of that" Shoji said. Midoriya wanted to protest that he didn't, but he yawned in response. "You're right" Deku said. Shoji chuckled and ruffled Deku's hair. "Okay, I'll leave you be. Get some rest, but remember that you have homework to do" Deku nodded. "And remember, anytime you have one of those days again, just come to me, and I will help you. Okay?" Deku nodded again. Shoji got up and left the room, leaving Deku to sleep. As Midoriya drifted off to sleep, he felt much more at peace knowing that Shoji was here to help him with his lee mood. He would have to thank Shoji properly later once he was awake...
And after he buys a new window for his room. Oh boy, Aizawa's not gonna be happy with this one.
The End
I hope you enjoyed reading my first fic of 2024. I can't wait to put out more stories for everyone. If you made it to the end, here's a little teaser for the next story coming soon:
🗡 🌊 🗡 🔥 🩸
If anyone can guess which characters and what fandom I'll be using for the next story (besides the lovely person who requested this story), they will get a free tickle monster character created by yours truly. Good luck to you all.
That's all for now. Until next time,

Hello my friend!
I was rereading your story "Of Capture Weapons and Lightning Bolts".
And I was thinking that Harry and all his magical family would spell the hell of UA. To prevent any invasion or harm to the students and teachers!
Imagine Shigaraki trying to destroy the gate only to be thrown off.
After all they didn't survive Hogwarts battle ( if it happens in your story) and didn't learn something.
Also during USJ attack where would Harry be ? And what would he do if he is at UA and hear about the attack?
The thing about Heroics and Healing Harry post Hogwarts is that he is intensely traumatized (rightfully so tbh the battle of Hogwarts is A Lot when you think about it) and working through that in the only way he can. He is technically a third year hero student, a retired hero, and the ghost that haunts Shouta and Hizashi’s classrooms all at the same time.
That being said he is very very protective of the family he has left and that stretches to UA at large and 1-A specifically.
He works with Bill and Hermione to add wards to UA. He shadows the students during training exercises. He waits for Mirio, Tamaki, and Nejire to return from their work studies with shaking hands and wild eyes.
He is basically at UA because he can’t stand to not be there and to get a degree so he can do… something in the future. Hell he might even follow Shouta and Hizashi and become a teacher. Anything that isn’t hero work. That isn’t him being the Chosen One all over again.
(He keeps his provisional license, however… just in case.)
So when the attack comes Harry is there, sitting at Hizashi’s desk when Tenya’s panic alarm (connected to both Hizashi and Shouta just like Harry’s rings through to Tensei and Nemuri) goes off. He disappears before he can even think about it, arriving in the USJ just in time to see the sea of villains and his dad jumping into the fray.
And Harry doesn’t care for that shit at all.
1-A (with the exception of a few of them) was always a bit… wary of Harry (with his too sad too old eyes and the way he flinched when they spoke about becoming heroes) but none of them were prepared to see him in action, carving a path through the villains to mirror Eraserhead’s and facing off with the monster that took out their teacher without hesitation. There are whispers calling him a hero. There are whispers calling him a demon. No one can believe he wants to graduate to go immediately into retirement when he has skills like those.
No one but Tenya who sees him, with his hands wet with Shouta’s blood and shaking like he’s about to fly apart, staring at the ambulance that took his father away.
Harry wanted a quiet life after Hogwarts.
Instead he picks up his title of hero again and throws himself back into the fight to protect the people he loves.

Very spicy salty and lengthy rant incoming. This is part 1 of 2, focusing on All Might (with Izuku and Katsuki), while part 2 will focus more on Ochako and the 1A reunion. I’m trying to help myself feel better about how deeply I dislike the “Dark Deku” and Star & Stripe arcs because I need to excise the real-life anxiety I’m feeling over this coming up in the anime. IMO, these arcs did not age well at all, and are absolutely no better in light of the ~35 subsequent chapters. It’s just that the subsequent chapters feel more cohesive and well thought-out despite Horikoshi’s physical pain and burnout.
While I’m not emotional over fictional characters, it is true that these arcs have impacted the fandom; namely, many people who were fans of All Might, Aizawa, Midnight, Mic, and the overall UA vibe dropped out. I get that sense from some LOV fans too. Overall, it means far fewer fics and art pieces with my blorbos, and it’s also meant far less interaction with my blog. (I don’t give a damn about “engagement” or followers, but I like talking about my hyperfixation with others who share it!). Obviously the story has to change as the series end draws near, but spending SO much time with Endeavor, Hawks, and Jeanist has worn me out, even if I think Horikoshi is handling Endeavor’s character growth well. (FWIW, I’m utterly disinterested in “Hawks the Optimist” who inexplicably became the expert on how OFA works, and Jeanist is…well…you know…a male model.)
Aside from everyone’s basic rant about how Horikoshi introduced two hot middle-aged women only to more or less fridge them (after killing Midnight!), my real complaint in this post is that the Dark Deku & Star arcs made a complete mess of All Might’s character arc and in-universe relationships. Don’t get me wrong — Chapter 326 with Stain seemed like something Horikoshi had planned since the early days of the manga, and that one hit HARD. But the rest felt like an improvisation. It’s horribly inconsistent on (1) when All Might speaks up and when he can’t bring himself to talk, and (2) how his relationship with 1A is handled compared to Star.
When it comes to All Might’s failure to speak up, it feels like Horikoshi was nerfing All Might and reducing what we know the former No.1 is capable of doing. I mean, in Chapter TWO he stops Izuku from overdoing his training. After Kamino, All Might helps Izuku develop Shoot Style by telling Izuku point blank that he’s trying too hard to imitate his mentor. In the Overhaul/Nighteye arc, All Might refuses to support Izuku’s desire to take on a work study because he thinks it unnecessarily exposes Izuku to villain activity AND Izuku needs to strengthen his Shoot Style first. (The awkwardness with Nighteye is his third reason.) When Izuku persuades him about getting stronger under Nighteye’s guidance, All Might carefully asks himself if Izuku is being impatient just because Izuku is his successor before agreeing to let Mirio do the introduction. When Izuku confronts All Might over Nighteye’s prophecy, All Might makes SURE Izuku is ready to hear an uncomfortable truth and then proceeds to tell him everything. In the next arc, All Might encourages Izuku to use whatever support items he needs, even though All Might always chose to fight with just his body. All Might is protective of Katsuki and Shoto too — when they want to jump out of the taxi and fight the Cider House gang, he tries to get them to slow down and “assess the situation first.” In all these situations, All Might can’t physically stop his students (and is usually on the losing end of the argument, as happens with argumentative teenagers™️), but he uses his voice to speak up and make his opinion known.
At the beginning of Dark Deku, things are looking okay. All Might gives up on the secrecy that defined him early on and tells Hawks and Jeanist everything when he realizes secrets didn’t keep people safe. That’s good, I think, but he didn’t seem to consult Izuku about it. Based on context clues, and how All Might initially wanted Izuku to stay at UA (again, he spoke up!) I think his motivation was to recruit the pro heroes to protect Izuku at the hospital and at UA. It sort of makes sense he would move fast and wouldn’t ask Izuku’s permission to do that…but in front of Inko after Izuku wakes up, All Might DOES ask Izuku’s permission to tell her. A minor inconsistency, but all right. It’s made clear All Might is worried sick about Izuku, warning him not to go overboard (once more speaking up!). Hawks even picks up on All Might’s hesitation, telling him that Izuku has the right strategy and it’s on All Might to keep the kid propped up. All Might does not look pleased about this as he looks up in the sky towards Izuku.
Tumblr media
In helping Izuku, All Might fends off assassins and talks about how Izuku’s idolization of him weighs on him. It’s not just that he promised Inko he would live and look out for Izuku; he’s acutely aware his boy is just like him in ways good and bad.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Yet when All Might sees Izuku struggle and he begins to see why Nighteye wanted him to retire, he can’t bring himself to talk to Izuku. Even though he understands Izuku’s feelings, he just can’t say a word. You would think seeing Izuku get shot, or barely escaping AFO’s mansion explosion, would prompt a conversation. But no, he says nothing. (Then again, nobody seems to remember Izuku was shot; no mention in the bath scene either.)
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
At the same time, we see Nighteye pop up in All Might’s thoughts, but we don’t see All Might struggling with telling Izuku what Nighteye told him (that is, we have no idea if All Might still feels violated in some way by Nighteye’s actions). We also don’t see All Might worrying about Izuku realizing the Symbol of Peace was just a human being. All Might isn’t trying to keep up Izuku’s hope by hiding the real burden of being the symbol (besides, didn’t he pull back that curtain in, oh, CHAPTER ONE???) We aren’t given any solid motivation or thematic through line — he simply procrastinated on what he knew he had to do for an unsatisfying hodgepodge of invasive thoughts. That is inconsistent with the All Might we know.
Before anyone comes at me, All Might not telling Izuku about Nighteye’s prophecy is very different. In that situation, All Might honestly did not think Izuku needed to know because knowing would put MORE pressure on Izuku than necessary. In Dark Deku, it’s the opposite, and All Might knows talking to Izuku could help relieve pressure.
I understand this is supposed to be All Might’s low point to lead into the Stain conversation. All Might is supposed to feel like “doing his best” didn’t prevent society’s downfall and didn’t stop his boy from repeating his mistakes. But…it feels like Horikoshi tied his tongue because that’s what needed to happen for plot reasons, and Horikoshi just wanted it to happen quickly. We still don’t have a good character reason why. Would it have been so unbelievable that Izuku, in his panicked state, brushes off All Might’s advice to rest? Or would that “break” Izuku’s idolization of All Might in a way that Horikoshi is still saving for the finale, where Izuku finally becomes his own hero without imitating All Might at all? I don’t have an answer, but it feels like we still could have had the same basic story beats without the bizarre characterization.
Tumblr media
The strangeness of All Might staying quiet also makes Katsuki’s argument to Endeavor in Chapter 319 feel funny to me. Katsuki is spot on that Izuku doesn’t take himself into account and All Might does the same thing. While Katsuki understands far better than Izuku that All Might is human, Katsuki doesn’t consider how protective All Might can be of Izuku. Katsuki doesn’t see (or understand, perhaps?) how All Might doesn’t want anyone else to be a Symbol of Peace the same way he was. Maybe that’s part of Katsuki’s idolization issues? Post-362, with Katsuki seeing All Might’s vestige and showing him the trading card, I think Katsuki never let himself appreciate that he had the former #1 in his corner, or that a person can, in fact, use their willpower to become a symbol that inspires a nation. Not to sound like Prince Harry in “Spare,” but maybe there’s also a tinge of lingering resentment over feeling left behind? There’s just something about Katsuki screaming to Endeavor, of all people, that you can’t leave Izuku and All Might alone together when Endeavor knows Izuku has already ditched All Might AND Endeavor and Hawks have already realized they’re “too slow” compared to Izuku. Of course it’s Hawks — who was saying Izuku made the right choice like Second and, uh, AFO — to announce that Izuku left All Might. There’s also Shoto yelling about how Endeavor “let them operate together,” but it’s not like Endeavor has enough credibility to control either Izuku or All Might.
Tumblr media
How does a #2 protect their #1 when they’re too slow? Can you ever “run alongside” someone whose power vastly outpaces yours, or is idolization all you can do? I think these are fascinating thematic questions, and Dark Deku makes a mess of them.
These problems compound in the reunion chapter, 327, which is really cute when it comes to the bath scene and the 1A kids, but is inexplicably confounding when it comes to All Might + the kids. Izuku clearly calls All Might multiple times to reconnect, but the man doesn’t pick up his phone. (I think we’re supposed to assume All Might is talking to Stain when Izuku calls, but…he couldn’t use the Hercules speech-to-text feature to tell the kid he’s driving over?) Then All Might just happens to show up at UA as Izuku talks about him, and gives Izuku a deep bow while saying sorry “for being of so little help.” He says nothing aloud about how he feels towards Izuku, and nothing aloud about being proud of 1A (though he basically thinks that in this chapter and again in 335). When Mina asks for an apology because he just disappeared post-war and left 1A with the Wild Wild Pussycats, he briefly says he’s sorry for any anxiety he caused, but quickly pivots to the need to prepare for “the battle that will decide it all.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like the Stain conversation, I understand that this is supposed to be All Might stepping up and figuring out his place in the world post-retirement. He’s realized he passed the torch to Izuku and 1A, but that doesn’t mean he’s useless. He wants to join the fight with the kids; to catch up and run alongside them. And to do that, he….ditches them to join Tsukauchi and Endeavor. I do appreciate that All Might is open with Tsukauchi (and Sansa!!!) about his OFA experience. But he basically disappears from UA for two days to deal with Star and TomurAFO before coming back in 335 and then seemingly disappearing again before joining the UA faculty to discuss the Aoyamas. (As pictured above, Ochako and Tenya, then Katsuki, all rightfully call out All Might’s “I am not here” act in 335.) Are you really telling me that the man who cries over Aoyama’s reveal isn’t emotionally attached to the class and wouldn’t, you know, BE HERE for them?
Tumblr media
What makes All Might’s absence from 1A even more problematic is that now he’s…Star’s mentor??? See, All Might sends out the call for help from his international super friends and Star comes riding in acting like she’s his successor. Chapter 364 later reinforces this, with Agpar’s monologue about “children observing adults and adults supporting the children as they pass it forward” showing a Prime All Might reach out out his hand to Star. It’s stupid because All Might has a direct successor already, plus two students (Katsuki and Shoto) that are direct heirs to other parts of his legacy, and another group of students that he’s been hands-on teaching for the past year. But Horikoshi decides to ignore all that setup and focus on “All Might + Star” rather than have him spend more time with 1A. Once again, if the point is to introduce thematic questions of inspiration and imitation, and how there’s a difference between someone imitating their idol based on their own interpretation vs actually receiving mentorship from the human behind the idol, it’s utterly lost in the execution. I just can’t bring myself to see Star as anything other than an interloper. I’m glad her pilot bros stayed in Japan to help out, and her sacrifice was heroic I suppose, but it suffered the same flaw as All Might. She tried to take on TomurAFO alone, and the best she could do is slow him down temporarily.
That’s all I can manage for now! In part 2, I’ll take a closer look at Ochako and the chain that leads to Izuku’s retrieval and where we are now.

You mentioned that you were not a fan of the Endeavor Agency arc, and I’m right there with you. So in your opinion, is there anything you would change to make the arc more worthwhile? Or would scrap that entire arc and have a brand new arc instead?
IMO, maybe have Midoriya focus on simply on trying to unlock and make Blackwhip under his control? Maybe because he felt that getting a hold of his powers trumps anything else? Or he doesn’t want to repeat what happened at the Joint Training fight? Or he doesn’t feel like there are any pro heroes that can help him get a hold of it, other than All Might?
Like I said, this was just an idea I thought of when I was getting ready to ask this, but what changes would you make for the Endeavor Agency arc?
This is a great question! Honestly, there's probably two ways I'd think about going about this.
1. Izuku doesn't join another work study at all
Instead, he takes some time to process everything he just went through. Not just everything that happened with Overhaul, but his entire awful experience with Nighteye. He bonds more with Eri, trains more with All Might, speaks with Yoichi in his dreams more often, and sees Hound Dog a few times to help cope with what happened. Even works more on controlling Blackwhip like you said. I also would have loved a scene where he confides in All Might about how Nighteye treated him and All Might reaffirms that he is worthy of One For All and that it wasn't Nighteye's place to decide that.
True, this would make for a slow arc. But I think taking some time to himself would have done Izuku well. The problem with this is that it might have put him behind his classmates, but he was only a first year. His work study could have been done at another time. It was never a requirement for first years in the first place.
From a narrative perspective, it would have been hard to place him in the Paranormal Liberation War. The UA students were only there because of their Work Studies. However, if Mirio who wasn't part of an agency at the time- and wasn't even technically an active UA student- could show up, there could have been a way to write him in somehow.
2. Izuku works under literally any other hero doing work studies
You can't tell me he wouldn't at least be considered by other heroes. He was the one who took down Overhaul and saved Eri, a mission both Fatgum and Ryuku were apart of. It should be common knowledge among the pros how skilled and capable he is. If other first year students got work studies so easily, you can't tell me that he couldn't have interned with anyone else.
(Perfect chance to have him bond with other 1A students by the way. Or even 1B students. Could have even had him work alongside Iida in Hosu. Hori, it's okay to have him spend time with people other than Bakugou)
I'm sorry, I just can't see Izuku willingly working under a man who abused his family and is practically the embodiment of corruption of hero society. Bakugou, sure, but not someone as moral as Izuku is. He was (rightfully) infuriated by Overhaul's treatment of Eri, why in the world would he tolerate Endeavor? And even if you make the argument that Endeavor's changing, Izuku would have no way of knowing that. Why wouldn't he at least try to reach out to other heroes?
Would have been even better if he at least tried to convince Todoroki to do the same. Would have shown that he really did care about his friend's well-being and wanted him to be free from his father's control.
But hey, what do I know🤷🏾‍♀️

Are you taking new aus? If so, how about one where Izuku's a dog! Like he dies with OFA when he's an adult and he reincarnated to a dog, with OFA still in him. But he gets sent back in time to when Shouta Aizawa was a kid.
I was going to say I had an au where Izuku was a dog, but this is a fun idea and I'm gonna take it and run with it.
So! The big fight with shigaraki-come-afo sees a pyrrhic victory with Izuku dying after defeating Shigaraki, never getting to know he saved everyone. Izuku wakes up about 17 years in the past, stuck in the form of a dog. He still has access to One for All and all of its associated quirks. He gives himself one mission: kill All for One before he hurts All Might. That's a pretty generous time frame of about 8 years. Weird complication: the man is his biological father, so strictly speaking it would probably be better to wait for himself to be conceived? But he's dealing with a lot of self hatred at the moment, believing he didn't manage to defeat Shigaraki, thinking Mirio would have been better, etc etc. Plus, he feels selfish to wait when every day AfO is alive he's making life a living hell for others.
But that is not his problem right now. Right now he is very hungry, very tired and has no place to go, and getting picked up by animal control will be a whole nightmare and a half. He doesn't have long to lament his terrible situation when he sees a young and familiar face. Eraserhead! Only, his age and lacking stubble. He follows him.
Shouta was having a weird morning. His current foster family really didn't care about what he was up to, which was a relief. Getting up in time to make the train for UA was hell on earth, but being in the hero course almost made up for it.
Also, he was pretty sure a dog was tailing him. It was big, not quite up to his waist but very close, but not bulky. Thick, curly fur did little to hide how heavily scarred it was, but it's tail was wagging slightly. No collar, either.
Also it was green. Which would have been the strangest thing about it, had it not hopped on the train with him, sitting at his feet and looking up at him happily, tail thumping on the floor. He kind of wanted to melt into the seat because people kept looking at the dog, and then at him, and back to the dog. It was. Uncomfortable.
It bonked its head against his knee before pushing his head into his hand. It wasn't a cat, but it was soft. He pet it.
It's tail wagged so quickly he couldn't even see it anymore.

Which of the Non UA Hero Student Quirks would All For One like for himself, minons or Nomu?
I know that you asked for non-UA students, but I think this is a good opportunity to talk about some of the characters I have yet to cover with this series. Namely, Mei, Shinso, and the Big Three.
Tumblr media
All For One: Stiffening: With how simple the Quirk is, it could easily open itself to a lot of combination potential. Namely by applying it to Quirks with some artificial part to them, like using it through other Quirks to improve their offense or defense, or by applying it to changes he makes in the environment, kind of like the opposite of Juzo.
Glamour: While it is a simple Quirk with plenty of combination potential, I honestly think he would take this for the chance to enhance his aura of menace and to better mess with people. Not only is he going to bring up your trauma at the worst possible time, but the man is going to do a slide show of the greatest hits.
Brainwashing: This one is basically perfect for him. Considering how much he loves to talk and antagonize other people, someone is bound to respond to him eventually. And when they do, they are totally under his control, and he is absolutely going to take advantage of it to have people fight each other or leave them open to taking their Quirks.
Minions: Zoom: While simple, it doesn't really offer All For One any major benefits or combination potential. It may work better to supplement the Quirk of another minion with a range power, such as giving it to Aoyama to better compliment his long range fighting style or giving it to someone with an eye based ability like "Erasure".
Boomerang: Like "Zoom", this one isn't enough for All For One to take and would be better for certain combinations. Such as giving it to someone with super strength who could throw items harder or someone whose Quirk creates tangible projectiles to better land their effects, like Lady Nagant apply it to one of her hair bullets.
Wave Motion: Considering how poor All For One seems physically, at least without the assistance of Quirks, anything based around stamina is going to eat through him pretty fast. And while a Nomu might be able to use it well, since they could have much greater stamina reserves to pull from, I think this would be better in the hands of someone smart enough to use it.
Nomu: Extend o Hair: Not only could this work as a hilarious disguise for any Nomu that had it, walking around as a Wookie with their limited speech, but the power is both simple and effective enough that any Nomu could wield it without much trouble. Then again, maybe All For One would take the Quirk just to get his hair back.
Vibrate: Between the immense power and dangerous drawbacks, it would certainly go well with a Nomu. It would definitely be put on one of the lower, throwaway Nomus to act as an initial attack to disrupt the enemy or a last resort in case it gets damage, similar to some of the Hosu Nomus or the Bombers from Vigilantes.
Permeation: I know this may seem like an odd choice given how complicated it is and how much training Mirio needed, but it could work with the right setup. Specifically, you could put it on a High End with modifications to help get around the issues with breathing and certain sensory issues. Given how difficult it would be to capture or damage, it could pose a serious threat.
Unsure: Whirlwind: I went back and forth on this one. It certainly has a lot of innate power, but I do think what makes it special comes from the skill Inasa has in controlling it, requiring some learning curve for a new user and making it less useful. Plus, a lot of what it could do could already be covered by other Quirks in one way or another.
Meatball: This one just raises a lot of interaction questions for me to be certain of it. Like could All For One steal Quirks with it? If not that, could he grow back any part of himself with "Super Regeneration"? Because if he can't, I'm not sure he'd want something that would leave certain parts of him at risk of being destroyed. If he can, this would be a nightmare for him to have.
Manifest: While All For One could want this for the variety, I think that dietary needs could be an issue. It's not super demanding, but still enough of an issue that I think All For One would pass it off. I doubt that All For One would trouble himself of switch up his diet for one Quirk. He's not going to give up his diet of wagyu beef, lobsters, and IV fluids.

Aizawa Cares Pt. 15 (MHA Fanfic)
Note copied from AO3:
Now I love the dynamic's of the big three, Amajiki is my favorite of them all because I just relate so much to how anxious he is, especially in social situations. I wish there were more fanfics of him struggling with it honestly. But I guess that means I'll just have to write some myself!!!
I'd also like to say that I will now be moving to FORTNIGHTLY (that's every two weeks for those that don't know what fortnight means) chapter releases now. I'm doing this because I have original projects--and other fanfics--that I'd like to work on, but I find that I can't do that when I'm pumping out chapters every week. And I hope that the extra time means I can give you chapters of better quality. So that means the next chapter will come on the 4th of August.
And FINALLY, if you'd like to see me write something in particular, feel free to leave a comment requesting it. I can't guarantee anything, but I'm always happy to be given ideas for future chapters!
-----
Aizawa observed his class carefully as they trained their combat skills. He’d asked for the help of the ‘Big Three’ as they were known to the rest of the school, the three third years having gained skills from their internships that could benefit his students. Since he wasn’t their homeroom teacher, he hadn’t really interacted with them much over their time at UA, but his colleagues were always praising them so he’d followed their progress to some extent. Which was what led to him asking them to help out his class if they had time. He hadn’t expected his class to latch onto the three student’s and not let go.
“Are you going to go back out there?” Aizawa glanced at the curled-up figure beside him that was Amajiki. The kid had taken a single punch to the face which was all it had taken for the third year to lose any and all will to fight. He’d been trying to coax the kid into trying again, but to no such luck.
“No. I’m fine here. Thanks.” Amajiki’s voice was quiet, and the boy’s shoulders shook at the effort of speaking. Aizawa was glad that he hadn’t ended up as the kid’s homeroom teacher; he doubted Amajiki would’ve survived dealing with his own strict nature.
“Are you sure?” Aizawa pushed. “You can’t just give up after a single hit, especially since you’re going into hero work.”
“That’s different.” The boy protested, but didn’t elaborate. “Besides, Nejire and Mirio are better. They aren’t like me.”
Aizawa hummed, choosing to let the boy sit out whilst vowing to talk to Amajiki’s homeroom teacher to learn a bit more about the kid. Obviously, he was more than capable, or he wouldn’t have made it to his third year, but Amajiki’s timid nature had him a little concerned. Instead he turned his attention back towards his students, watching as the Togata worked with the close combat fighters of his class and Hado instructing the long range fighters.
As he was observing, Hado chose that moment in his direction. He caught the girl frowning and watched as she left his students with instructions and made her way over. “Oh Tamaki, you can’t be done already! We’re not even halfway through class yet!”
Aizawa hadn’t thought Amajiki could make himself any smaller, but the boy proved him wrong by curling up even tighter. That can’t be comfortable at all.
But despite Amajiki not saying anything, Hado wasn’t deterred at all, instead crouching beside her classmate and patting him on the shoulder. “You got hit once, so what? That doesn’t mean you failed or anything. You just have to hit back harder!”
“No thanks. I want to go home.” Amajiki responded.
Hado huffed, resorting to trying to pull Amajiki to his feet. “No way, you told Mirio and I you’d try and make it through the whole lesson. And this isn’t the whole lesson. Once we’re done, you can go hide in the corner, but until then, you can hang with me and the long-range fighters if Mirio’s group is that terrifying to you. Besides, the first years want to get to know you and they can’t do that if you hide the moment they look at you. Heart of a lion Tamaki! Remember that!” Aizawa watched with wide eyes as Hado began dragging Amajiki behind her, the boy desperately trying to stop her. All the while, Hado kept up a steady stream of chatter, until Aizawa could no longer hear what she was saying.
In that moment, Aizawa decided that Hado’s enthusiasm was a little terrifying.
The next time that Aizawa ran into Hado was after the school festival, and there was something in his gut that was telling him that something was wrong. He’d been walking past the cafeteria when he’d noticed her, or rather, how quiet she was. And it looked like he wasn’t the only one that thought it was odd, because Amajiki was beside her, looking extremely uncomfortable at the current situation, and Togata was clearly trying to talk enough for all three of them. Aizawa frowned, wondering if he should say something, but decided not to. Everyone had a bad day, which is probably all that it was, and it wasn’t like he was the girl’s teacher anyway. It wasn’t his place to step in. But he made a mental note to bring it up with them if the behaviour persisted.
It was by chance that the next day had him going upstairs to the third-year classrooms to drop off some paperwork. And it was by chance that he happened to walk by 3-A’s classroom just as Hado slammed her head into her desk—well, slammed was an overstatement when it was more like the girl had just ceased sitting upright entirely. Aizawa frowned and stopped by the doorway, observing Hado to see that the girl’s shoulders were trembling slightly and that the rest of her was coiled like a spring ready to break free.
“Are you okay?” Aizawa found himself asking, taking a single step into the room.
Hado turned her face so that she was looking at him, giving him full view of the tears running down her face—and the bruise that was blooming on her cheek. His frown grew and he quickly strode over, dropping to a kneel beside the girl. “What happened?”
“Nothing happened, Aizawa-sensei.” Hado sighed, her voice dull and depressed. Another sigh fell out of Hado’s mouth as she continued. “Well, something did happen, but it’s being handled.”
“You’ve told your homeroom teacher?” Aizawa asked, remembering the frustrated look on the woman’s face when he’d stopped by.
Hado nodded. “She wasn’t very impressed by what had happened, especially since we’re all third years now. She looked so disappointed in us.”
Aizawa was lost, but he figured that’s what he had coming when he butted into another year level’s problems. Still, the teacher within him couldn’t leave a student that was clearly distressed, alone. Even if he had no idea what was going on. “Does what happened have something to do with that bruise on your cheek?”
A slender hand reached up to hide the bruise from view, more tears welling in Hado’s eyes. “It wasn’t his fault, Sensei, you have to understand that. He looked so terrified after it happened, and I don’t blame him because it was my fault anyway since I pushed a little too much and—”
“Hado.” Aizawa interrupted before the rambling got worse. “Breathe. I’m not sure what happened, but I doubt it was your fault either. And I’m sure it’ll work out.”
The girl took a breath, and then another, slowly straightening in her seat before turning to face him properly. Hado wiped her eyes, although it didn’t stop her from looking absolute miserable. “I know, Sensei, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.” The girl covered her face with her hands. “It was me running my mouth like always that caused it to happen.”
This is going nowhere. Aizawa bit back a sigh, knowing that it wouldn’t help the situation. Instead, he needed to sort through the puzzle that was what Hado was telling him in order to figure out what had happened and help the poor girl come to solution. So, he sat on the ground, looking up at the third-year, and resting his head against a hand. “Maybe so, but you being talkative isn’t a good reason for someone to hit you.”
“It was Tamaki that hit me.” Hado said as if that would explain everything. Which it did, because Aizawa had witnessed Hado’s classmate get so overwhelmed to the point that he’d flee. So it made sense that he could’ve been pushed to the limit of lashing out at his friend.
“Why did he hit you?”
“I—We—He—It’s hard to explain…”
“Take your time.” Aizawa reassured the girl. He didn’t have anywhere else to be until the end of the day, so he would happily sit here and wait for as long as Hado needed to get her thoughts together.
After a few minutes of silence, Hado finally began to speak. “Ever since Mirio lost his quirk, Tamaki’s been quiet. And well, I guess I have been as well. He’s our best friend, so it was a little bit of a shock to learn that he was taking a break from school because he’d lost his quirk.” Hado paused for a moment to collect herself. “But I think it hit Tamaki pretty hard. He’s known Mirio since elementary school and well… he’s a little dependent on him. Sometimes! Only sometimes!” The girl waved her hands around as she realized what she’d just said.
“I understand.” Aizawa said, thinking back to what he knew of these three kids that had bonded with his own student’s. When he’d first approached them before everything with Overhaul had happened, he had, of course, noticed that Togata and Hado were more than a little protective of Amajiki. Hell, when he’d gone up to them, he was almost positive that he could see the anxious boy’s heart ready to leap out of his chest. And he’d also noticed how Togata, without even hesitating, had stepped forward to talk to him. In a way, Togata had been the leader of their group, and now he wasn’t even at school with them. All because of those damn bullets that Overhaul had made. “So I’m going to guess that the stress of recent events led to you two arguing?”
“Kind of.” Hado sighed. “You’ve met Tamaki. He’s got the makings of an amazing hero, but he can’t handle the pressure that comes from being noticed too well. He’s doing way better than first year, but he still struggles—”
What was he like in first year if this is what he’s like now?
“—and well, I tried to be encouraging, you know? He took down three of the Shie Hassaikai all on his own! So I tried telling him how brave he was for doing so… but I ended up saying that if he could be that brave then, why couldn’t he be that brave doing regular hero work? And… he told me to stop but I kept pushing, and pushing, and then I stupidly told him that Mirio wasn’t here to hold his hand anymore, and that’s when he hit me.” Hado finished, eyes brimming with tears that stubbornly refused to fall. Shortly after, the tears began to fall. “He looked so terrified after he lashed out, Aizawa-sensei. Our homeroom teacher walked in at that moment, and then Tamaki fled.”
“You didn’t try to follow him?” Aizawa questioned. He understood what Hado had been trying to do, even if it hadn’t worked out the way she had hoped. And it certainly hadn’t been her fault at all for what had happened. It was simply a case of someone’s emotions getting the better of them and not knowing what to do with them.
Hado shook her head. “I called Mirio, and told him what had happened. I don’t think Tamaki would want to see me right now.”
“That’s a fair assumption. You should probably still go see him later since he’ll probably want to apologize for hitting you, but it’s okay if you want to put it off until later.” Aizawa stood from where he’d been sitting and placed a hand gently on Hado’s head. “And it’s okay if you’re struggling to cope with what happened to your friend. It was a traumatic experience for all three of you, and none of you should have to deal with it alone. And my office is always open if you need someone to talk to.”
Hado sniffed and looked up at him, a broken smile on her face. “Thank you, Aizawa-sensei. I might come by some time.”
Aizawa nodded, glad that the girl had accepted his offer without much of a fight. It was such a difference to his own class. He hesitated where he stood, unwilling to leave Hado on her own while she was still upset, but also wanting to locate the rest of the upset party. But it seemed that Hado answered his dilemma for him.
“You can go find Tamaki if you want, Sensei. Yuyu’s coming by soon so I won’t be alone.”
“Are you sure?”
Hado nodded. “I’m sure. I’ll be fine after I talk things over with her. But Tamaki will probably need some help.”
“Okay. Come and find me if you need me though.”
“I will, Sensei. And um… can you tell Mirio I’m sorry for disturbing him with this?”
“Sure.”
As it turned out, trying to find someone who desperately didn’t want to be found as extremely hard. He was glad that Amajiki wasn’t one for causing trouble, because he had no doubt that the kid would be capable of getting away with anything purely based on his ability to hide. Aizawa felt like he’d searched the entire school at this point, the lunch bell having run long ago, yet he hadn’t found the student he was looking for. He’d even swung by the 3-A classroom after lunch to check if the kid had gone back to class, but had only seen Hado, looking much brighter than she had been when he’d left. She’d spotted him before he could continue searching, and had told him that Amajiki had a penchant for quiet corners. Which was both helpful and not helpful since there were many places that fit the criteria within UA’s campus.
He ended up finding Amajiki only because Togata dropped his location to him, and he had a feeling that Hado was to thank for that. Either way, he finally knew where to go, and he was questioning what Amajiki was even doing in the Business Course side of the building, and also how he got there so fast. Aizawa pushed those questions away, instead focusing on what his current goal should be; helping Amajiki.
When he finally found the corner that Amajiki had tucked himself away in, Aizawa had to stop. It was the landing between the second and third floors, and Amajiki was pressed against the wall, body trembling violently, although his forehead was pressed into Togata’s shoulder. Togata was sitting with his back against the wall, opposite to his friend, with one arm wrapped around Amajiki’s front. Aizawa noticed that a jacket that could only have belonged to Togata was draped over Amajiki’s back.
Togata’s eyes met his own, and the boy motioned for him to stay where he was. Aizawa did, watching as the boy leaned over and said something that he couldn’t hear into Amajiki’s ear. Amajiki’s head spun around so fast, Aizawa was surprised that he didn’t hear the kid’s neck snap from the force of it. Frightened eyes met his own briefly before they went back to Togata’s shoulder. He took a mental note of how the boy’s trembling increased.
“You can come over now.” Togata called.
Aizawa made his way over, coming to sit on the other side of Togata so that the third year was between him and his friend. He had a feeling it would make Amajiki less stressed, and was rewarded when the trembling eased a little. Opening his mouth to speak, he closed it abruptly, thinking about a different course of action he could take. He didn’t know Amajiki well, not well enough to help him through the obvious anxiety attack he was going through. But Togata was here and he did know a little about the kid, if only what he’d heard from Midoriya and Sir Nighteye before the raid. And he knew that Togata had the benefit of being friends with Amajiki since the two were young children.
“He’s not in trouble.” Aizawa spoke to Togata, making it very clear that he was talking to the third year, and not the anxious mess beside him. “I also spoke to Hado earlier and she’s not mad either. Upset, yes, but not mad.”
“I knew she wouldn’t be mad.” Togata gave a sad smile, his arm squeezing Amajiki gently. “She’s too good a friend to ever be mad at us. Is she really okay though?”
Aizawa nodded. “Her friend is with her right now, but I spoke to her and she told me what happened. She blames herself for what happened.”
“Did she tell you I hit her?” Amajiki whispered, the suddenness of his words surprising Aizawa.
“She did.” Aizawa confirmed. “But she also told me what caused you to hit her. You got overwhelmed, didn’t you?”
Amajiki turned his head slightly to stare at him before giving a single nod. “She was just being nice. But I couldn’t handle it. And she said that Mirio wasn’t here—”
“Which is false, because I’m right here.” Togata interjected quietly.
“And my thoughts just kind of spiralled and I lashed out without thinking.” Amajiki continued, ignoring his friend’s interruption. The boy let out a heavy sigh. “I just made a mess of things. Like usual.”
“No you didn’t! This is your fault, and it’s not Nejire’s either!” Togata exclaimed before Aizawa could even say anything.
“It is though.”
“I agree with Togata.” Aizawa said before either boy could continue to argue. “None of this is your fault. It was simply a case where everyone involved got overwhelmed. Could it have been handled better? Probably, but what’s done is done, and we shouldn’t dwell on the past.”
Togata nodded his agreement whilst Amajiki merely sighed, but he pulled away from his friend slightly, unfurling his body from its curled-up position. Aizawa was pleased to see that the trembling had mostly eased off by now, whatever emotions that had been running through Amajiki’s body finally leaving the boy alone. And then with a deep breath, Amajiki stood up, although he looked terrified at doing so. Togata was quick to follow his friend up, and Aizawa slowly stood up, wincing slightly as his joints popped back into place after sitting for so long. His body was starting to get old.
“I’m going to apologize to Nejire.” Amajiki declared, his voice wavering just a little. “And then I’m going home.”
Aizawa sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose at the third-year’s favorite saying whilst Togata just broke out into laughter. “You do that.” This was not at all the way he’d expected the conversation to go. From what he’d known about Amajiki, and from what Hado had told him, he’d expected an inconsolable student, not… whatever had just happened. There was a lot he had to learn yet about the older students it seemed. “Will you be okay?”
Amajiki looked thoughtful for a moment before giving a nod. “I will. I think. Maybe.” The boy dropped his head to stare at his shoes. “I might go see Hound Dog-sensei.”
“Sounds like an idea.” Togata reached over to ruffle his friend’s hair. “I’m going to stay and talk to Aizawa-sensei for a moment, so you’ll be okay on your own?”
“I’m a big boy, Mirio. I can handle apologizing to Nejire.” Amajiki protested before bowing suddenly to Aizawa. “Thank you for coming to my aid, Sensei.”
And then the boy was gone. Just like that.
“That’s normal for him, don’t worry too much about it.” Togata laughed, scratching the back of his head absentmindedly.
“It’s fine.” Aizawa moved to lean against the wall. “What did you want to talk about?”
Togata sighed, a worried look on his usually smiling face. “I’m worried about my friends, that’s all. Ever since the Shie Hassaikai raid, things have been different between us, especially since I’ve been out of school because… you know.”
Aizawa hummed, remembering visiting the student in the hospital after the raid, and learning that from the doctors that the boy’s quirk was gone. Gone. Just like that, by the hands of a bullet. Bullets made from the body of a six-year-old girl whose only crime was to be incapable of controlling her quirk.
Yet despite losing his quirk, Togata had remained a ray of sunshine, leaving the hospital and immediately migrating to the students of his own class that had been affected by the raid, and also being by Eri’s side when she needed a familiar face to take care of her after a nightmare. Aizawa didn’t know how the kid did it. Togata was certainly a unique person with how strong his optimism was.
“What about them is worrying you?” Aizawa asked.
“They’ve become a bit withdrawn I’ve noticed, and I think it’s because of me.” Togata explained. “Sure, Nejire and Tamaki get along fine without me, but you saw for yourself that Nejire didn’t know what to do when Tamaki got overwhelmed.”
“And you know how to?”
Togata shrugged. “We’ve known each other since we were kids. I’ve caused many breakdowns over the years, so you kinda learn how to deal with them.” The boy’s eyes widened. “I’m not saying that Nejire’s a bad friend or anything! She understands us both fine!”
“Kid, it’s okay. I understand what you meant.” Aizawa raised a hand to stop Togata from continuing. “I’m sure your bond is fine. But why are you telling me this? Why not your homeroom teacher? Or theirs?”
“Well… you were there at the raid.” Togata gave an awkward chuckle. “And while you might not know us well, your students have said that you give good advice, even to kids that aren’t from your class.”
Ah, I see. “I’m not sure I can offer much help, since I’m not your teacher and as you said, I don’t know any of you too well.” Aizawa paused to think for a moment on what advice he could give the kid in front of him, when he recalled something that Amajiki had said. “Amajiki said he was going to see Hound Dog?”
“Hm? Oh, yeah, he’s been seeing Hound Dog-sensei since first year. His homeroom teacher made him go after his anxiety got really bad, and the sessions helped, so he kept going.” Togata explained. “Why?”
“Why not go see him together? The three of you.” Aizawa suggested. Maybe if all three of them got together in the one room and talked about what was bothering them, then maybe they’d be able to overcome it and get back to some sort of normalcy between the three of them.
“Can we do that?”
“Of course. It’s not the first time we’ve had to have groups go to Hound Dog for counselling, and it could very much be the solution you need for your problem.”
Togata stood in front of him, a very tense thinking expression on his face as he mulled over Aizawa’s words. Finally, the boy clapped his hands together and smiled. “Sounds great! I’ll mention it to Nejire and Tamaki. Thanks, Aizawa-sensei.”
“No problem. Anything else you need?”
“Nope! I’ve got it from here. Bye, Sensei!” Aizawa watched in surprise as Togata rushed off, leaving him alone on the landing. He certainly hadn’t expected his day to go the way it did, but he was glad that he’d been able to help the third-years out in the end, even if it wasn’t the way he’d expected to help them. It made him fear for when his own class became third-years, which would hopefully come for them. He’d like to see them grow up. And also see whatever mischief they’d find themselves into; no doubt with Bakugo or Midoriya at the front of it all.
And he’d hold onto that hope if it was the last thing he did.

Kurasuno First Years In UA
No Pairing
Characters : Shoyo Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Kei Tsukishima, Tadashi Yamaguchi
Shoyo Hinata
🍊 Shoyo bouncy boy was just happy to be there, his quirk is called Spring Board it literally turned his legs into spring boards, he could jump real high and that was the extent of it.
🍊 He had managed to fight his way into 1A and honestly doesn’t know how he managed to get there.
🍊 Shoyo was always told that his quirk was not good enough for him to be a hero but here he was in the classroom on the first day and while most would feel intimidated he was fire up for a year of challenge.
🍊 Shoyo and Tobio still hated each other in a way that pushed them forward but for the most part they succeed because they were in the same class and their quirks complement each other very well.
🍊 Shoyo is literally friends with everyone, there is not one person in that class that hates him, even Bakugo for the most part can tolerate him. The only time he can’t is when he’s with Tobio.
🍊 When Shoyo and Midoriya got together to gush over something it is literally the cutest thing but you know that Tobio and Katsuki come out of nowhere to end that party.
🍊 Shoyo is such a ray of sunshine that when he meets Mirio those two would be fast friends nad he would take what he wants his hero approach to be from him.
🍊 Shoyo was great at all of the Hero stuff but he was not go in the classroom you know what that meant? He was failing a lot of classes. Math, Fail. English, Fail. Science, Fail. Tobio was no better
🍊 Enter Yachi the timid girl on the support course, they were pointed in her direction after being told by Aizawa that something needed to change or he would be dropped from the Hero Course.
🍊 He managed to get his grades up but he still needs cram classes with the others to make sure that he stayed on top of his grades.
🍊 Shoyo 100% was a team player and was happy to do whatever anybody asked of him unless that person insulted him (so Tobio and Katsuki often fell short when they needed something from him).
Tumblr media
Tobio Kageyama
🥛 Tobio made it in on recommendations, his quirk is called Space Perception it allows him to see how an attack with in a space would hit. He could use this to see where an attack would hit.
🥛 Tobio quickly learned in the paired training battles that he could use his power to help Shoyo land powerful attacks.
🥛 Tobio immediately clashed with Bakugo and Shoto the moment that he laid eyes on them.
🥛 Bakugo returned the rivalry and they often clashed quite loudly and took every opportunity to fight each other, there was one occasion where Bakugo took Tobio’s milk because he refused to fight him, no one ever let him do it again.
🥛 The rivalry between him and Shoto was a lot less volitalie and that was mostly because it was one sided. Tobio had been called a genius for most of his life but when he started in UA there was a new genius and his name was Shoto Todoroki. Shoto however was clueless to anything that wasn’t his goal to become a hero so he never felt Tobio glaring into the side of his head all the way through class.
🥛 Now as we all know Tobio don’t need no english so as you can guess he is still failing every class that wasn’t hero based or physical in some way, so as I mentioned before he was tutored by Yachi and managed to get his grades up.
🥛 Tobio did actually get on very well with the Deku squad, Midoriya often complimented him on his abilities and never got bored of listening to him talk about his quirk. Uraraka was a female and he had no idea how to conduct himself around her so she often saw him blushing and mumbling to her in response to something that she had asked. Iida was the one that kept him and Shoyo out of trouble, he could literally sense their scheming and stop it before something bad happened.
🥛 Tobio later developed his quirk to allow him to see the extent of the area he was fighting in. Aizawa called for him when they went on the mission to save Eri much to Shoyo’s displeasure.
🥛 Tobio believed himself to be a leader, unfortunately there was a lot of strong characters in 1A and Tobio learned that he needed to step back sometimes in order to move forward.
Tumblr media
Kei Tsukishima
🧂 Tsukishima didn’t actually make it onto the hero course at first, as he put it he had no desire to be a hero, he was just smart enough to make it into UA for general studies.
🧂 Tsukishima’s quirk allowed him to see and enhance weaknesses, it is called transparancy, which lent to very snarky and cold personality.
🧂 There was a reason that he claimed that he didn’t want to be a hero and that came from his older brother, who had lied about being a hero in the first place.
🧂 When Tsukki was younger, he never stopped talking about his pro hero brother and no one believed him, he decided that he going to show them all, so one day after school they all headed to the hero agency that his brother was supposed to be working at.
🧂 When he got there he couldn’t see his brother anywhere, he finally spot him across the way and saw that everything he’s brother had told him was a lie, he was no hero instead he was a running, taking papers from hero to hero.
🧂 That day he decided to things: The first was that he never wanted to feel this embarrassment so no matter what he would never try for or believe in anything again, the second was that there was no such thing as heroes it was just another job title.
🧂 Tsukki’s ideal directly clashed with Shinso, who he shared classes with and they would often argue and altogether disliked each other. Tsukki was a hard individual to like because he was even more difficult to get to know, even still, Shinso didn’t like him very much and Tsukki couldn’t care less.
🧂 Now the general studies teacher weren’t stupid and after the sports festival they could see real potential in him and so while the hero students were supposed to be the only ones that got placements, he was given one in the hopes that he would find motivation.
🧂 The placement allowed him to wmeet two 3rd years from different schools, Kuroo Tetsuro and Bokuto Kotaro.
🧂 While Kuroo only served to aggravate him into making a change, Bokuto who seemed childish at first gave him a strong indication of the fufilment that he could get from being a hero.
🧂 He was offered a place on the her course quickly after and while he took it, he had only done it to help Yamaguchi who had wanted to be a hero but didn’t make it.
🧂 They were put in 1B. Monoma tried his hardest to get under Tsukki’s skin and didn’t get very far honestly.
🧂 He would have finally met Tobio and Shoyo, he had heard about them but once he actually met them (he would never admit it) he felt a need to prove that the best first year duo was him and Yams.
🧂 It took Tsukki a long while but he found something worth becoming a hero for and well he’s not a hero for the people but he’s good at almost everything else.
Tumblr media
Tadashi Yamaguchi
💚 Lets get this out of the way, Yamaguchi is the first years version of Tamaki Amajiki, in every way, he had a quirk that was unbelievably strong but no sense of how to use it, a fear of everything and a best friend that tackled the world for him.
💚 Yamaguchi had a gravity manipulation quirk, it is called weight of the world, he could change the gravity around an object of his choosing.
💚 Unfortuantely Yams didn’t have the personality that allowed him to take what he wanted, which meant that when he wasn’t with Tsukki he often became to nervous to show the true extent of his powers and that was the reason that he failed the entrance exam and offered a place on the general studies course.
💚 While Tsukki was rather confrontational, Yams was not but he still often got dragged into disagreements that Tsukki had, he would often deesculate a situation and apologise for his best friends harsh words.
💚 After a disagreement with Shinso, that Yams had broken up and settled himself, the teachers realised that all three students should have had a place on the hero course and sent Yams on a placement to try and bring out the full extent of his quirk.
💚 He ended up meeting a past student of UA and he helped him to increase his move set and understand what it was that he could do.
💚 After finally getting on to the hero course with Tsukki he was Monoma’s No.1 target, Tsukki was there most of the time to get rid of him with his own carefully thought out comeback but Kendo came to his rescue just as much.
💚 He has a little crush on Kendo and he always does that thing where he blushes and scratches the back of his head whenever he talkes to her.
💚 Yams never considered anyone else an enemy but if he had to choose between them and Tsukki he would stick by his friend no matter what, although he would never be afraid to tell Tsukki if he thought that he was wrong.
💚 As a pro hero Yams would often try to talk out an issue while using his quirk to inhibit a villains movement and if that doesn’t work, well his quirk made it easy to restrain them.

bnha manga thoughts
historically speaking, american foreign involvement is.. iffy. if the cia are involved things are probably going to get worse im looking at like a good chunk of latin america and the banana wars. arguably some of the more publicized stuff helped like taiwan, south korea, germany, and japan are doing pretty well for themselves, and the financial/logistics backing for europe and now ukraine (well the ww2 stuff was pure war profiteering). and then there's inherent abuses of the us industrial military complex, tax payer money to line the pockets of weapons manufacturers and defense contractors, preying on the poor with funding from tax dollars, the rampant abuse and all the crimes that get covered, the lack of regulation in general so you have human rights abuses environmental damage military bases usually poison the surrounding areas.
332: hmm we're too early in this fight. i think some of the pilots will die.
335: holy shit if those hagakure is the spy than the conspiracy theorists got it right. i remember there was this old fan theory circa 2017? 2018? which posited hagakure was the spy because how else did someone so weak get into ua like she can turn invisible and that's it. and how narratively she hadn't done anything while everyone else how a few pages at least. at the time i thought it was a cool idea for an otherwise boring character but the lack of evidence stopped me from going all in on it. in the early arc its said? implied? that there's a spy in UA and people were able to logic and reason it down to probably being a student (i dont remember how they ruled teachers out). hagakure was suspect number 1 but there were a couple other 1 A put up.
336: oh yeah the secret forest training camp. and yeah aoyama was the other one speculated to be a spy. the other conspiracy theoriests got it right!
348: i still say mirko should have put knives on her feet.
353: did shouto magically heal dabi's chest area????
362: oh so this is what everyone was screaming about. i wonder if horikoshi would actually kill off such a popular character. hmm we shall see. on one hand we had that final coming to terms with deku and choosing to fight as well as the rain. but this also feels rather stupid for bakugou (dynamight. ah i remember people headcanoning that too). like bakugou through out has shown excellent battle sense and judgement, he makes clever plays, and he's good at taking care of himself to foil midoriya who destroys himself during battles, so to misjudge shigaraki so much is odd.
363: heart ripped to shreds, chapter title. yeah that sounds pretty dead. though i would never discount the power of anime.
364: the power of anime. though i dont get why edgeshot has to die besides for the drama. like if you think about conservation of matter a heart is only a few pounds while an adults is over 100 pounds, like he should only have to give up an arm or something (and then he can join the growing amputee club).
365: ah question answered. i love mirko. even if the shrinking number of limbs is concerning.
366: this is the story of how mirio saved the world with his fat cheeks.
370: oh shouji. he kept his mouth covered because he didn't want to freak people out. m

Obviously, I like that rage!Deku was nipped in the bud, but I also really like that Mirio did it and Deku couldn’t just calm himself down.
Because, Izuku never worked on trying to calm himself and focus. (Like we see Shouto's training of Phosphor is a lot of meditation like practice so he's able to keep it together vs Touya makes sense), but Deku spent those same few weeks running himself ragged, driven by his emotions and not facing them. People don't (shouldn't) get skills they don't work on.
Deku's flaws actually are coming to the surface in this final arc - he still wants to do everything so he loses focus with Toga - Tsuyu has to remind him to get a grip and not waste any more time because this is their fight not his, and now he's losing his mind when he sees the consequence of him being late.
I'm glad Mirio did something intelligent here - it’s refreshing over some melodramatic misunderstandings BS.
We are all focusing on "Deku's emotions", but it's Mirio who watched the whole team, including his boyfriend go down in brutal ways - still, he's able to think clearly and snap Deku out of his rage. Good for him. His experience and hard work at least pays off in this small way.
Deku is still a first year, and didn't put the work into emotional control despite Banjo telling him to. So I think it's good that he's unable to do it for himself and so far others are really propping him up - Tsu and Ochako, the pilots giving him a lift, the 2nd reminding him to trust others, and now Mirio pulling him out of the Avatar state.
He's already too OP, too morally good - let him have little flaws, let him need others to help him.  It humanizes him and gives some weight to the narrative that he couldn’t even get here on his own, not to mention fight all by himself.
I was really worried about a rage!Deku repeat, and while the transition was a bit jarring, considering everything, this was a good way to do it.

for the five ask game: how about an au where Izuku has a possession quirk? like Danny Phantom ghost style possession
I have consulted my DP expert friends on this so hopefully I get the idea right
1- Izuku's brand of possession means merging his body with the target's, so on the outside its them, and the inside is him- though the eyes go green. When this manifests, he possesses Katsuki. Katsuki is not a fan of this lack of control and makes it known he considers this villainous.
2- Izuku gets grabbed by sludgy and almost choked out, but activates his quirk and takes over sludgy instead. (This makes his body vanish.) Izuku panics and tries to figure out what to do, but then All Might shows up and he lets go of the possession as he's hit. He's a bit shaken, but fine and All Might checks him over after bottling sludgy. He picks up Izuku's notebook and skims through it.
"you want to be a hero?"
"i- yes- more than anything- can I with a quirk like mine, through?"
All Might signs the notebook as Izuku explains what his quirk can do, and says that he could be- a quirk doesn't define you, what you do with it does.
3- Izuku is happier than he's ever been, and trains to get into UA. Inko lets him practice his quirk on her if he cleans up while in her body, so she doesn't have to be there to do the chores, and it's good for practicing fine motor skills and looking at the world when shorter. Izuku also trains a bit himself, and is stronger by February, though nowhere near the American All Star plan.
4- meanwhile, Mirio turned down OfA. So did the rest of the big three. None of the first or second or third years seem right, and Toshi is invited to watch the entrance exam. Maybe a freshman next year will be it, and he can teach the next year if there is. He sees a familiar face in the test, as Izuku struggles to jump between people (can he take their points?? Will he even get any of his own??). He does a better job possessing people to pull them out of danger- and then Zero Pointer comes out. People flee. There's a girl, stuck. Izuku possesses Iida as he passes and runs to get to her. Then he lets go so the two can dig her out faster, apologizing as they do, them pushing them down out of the way and jumping back in Iida's body as they narrowly avoid the robot stepping on them. Toshinori thinks it's a grand rescue, and approves of the points he gets- and the fact that both the other children approached UA to make sure he would. But he'll be a hero on his own, he clearly doesn't need OfA. Maybe no one does now, with AfO dead.
5- Izuku has an extremely normal first month of school. Training, lessons, getting ready for the SF, which is so exciting, because All Might is apparently going to be there to give awards! Izuku works hard to get through the obstacle course, and is third place. His team works well together, the cavalry battle. But then Ojiro drops out, and warns him about Shinsou's similar quirk (Izuku wants to test so badly how they interact, but he reminds himself to try to beat him first) and then they're up, the first match in the last round. Midnight counts them off, three- two- one-
A warp gate opens in the middle of the field.
"Is that your quirk?" Shinsou asks.
Izuku shakes his head as two figures step through- and more gates open around the stadium.
"I got tired of waiting, Kurogiri." Shigaraki complains. "If All Might is supposed to give out awards, he's probably here now, right? Well if you aren't, I'd get here soon, Symbol of Peace. League of Villains, Nomu, attack!"
Izuku moves first, possessing Shigaraki as the Nomu advances on Midnight and Cementoss. "Nomu, stop!" He orders, and is surprised when it works.
"Oh, so that's your quirk." Shinsou says with new appreciation. "Hey, tell it to attack... Kurogiri, was it?"
"Can you hold him while I jump in others to stop them?" Izuku asks, and Shinsou nods.
In the stands, heroes and villains and nomu are already fighting. But the strongest nomu, built for All Might, sits quietly in the middle of the arena, next to it's brainwashed master and the broken warper, and that will make a difference for how the fight turns out.

➶ WHAT MAKES THE MHA BOYS BREAK (PT. 1)
Tumblr media
pairings: mezo shoji, tokoyami fumikage, hanta sero, izuku midoriya, shoto todoroki, eijiro kirishima, denki kaminari, hitoshi shinsou
warnings: reverse comfort, may or may not have cried a lil’ while writing this. this one hurt a lot but it’s so sweet and fluffy, enjoy luvs!! also lol you could see my favoritism for kirishima
part two with bakugo, iida, ojiro, tamaki, mirio, hawks, dabi, shigaraki, and aizawa is here!
Tumblr media
WHEN YOU CALL THEM BEAUTIFUL: MEZO SHOJI, TOKOYAMI FUMIKAGE, HANTA SERO
Tumblr media
MEZO SHOJI
(HE’S SO UNDERRATED LIKE PLS Y’ALL 😩)
he starts panicking as soon as you ask him to take off his mask
at first, he declines right away before turning his face around so you couldn’t touch the fabric
“mezo, i promise. i won’t hurt you, or judge you i just- i want you to trust me, is that alright with you?” you said gently. “but if you don’t want to, don’t worry about it, ‘kay?”
could he really trust you? or would you leave when he found out he wasn’t a normal person with a normal smile, that he was a monster, that was someone who looked different, what would you do?
but if you didn’t love him for who he really was, then... what was the point, right?
shoji let out a trembled sighed in defeat as his dupli-arms took the mask off. he looked down in shame, eyes shut so he couldn’t see your reaction
but your reaction was... completely unexpected
"You're beautiful!!! Why didn't you tell me that you looked so lovely all this time baby??"
did he just hear you correctly?
did you just-- call him beautiful?
and in that moment, in those small moments, you can see his geniune smile.
his real smile beneath the mask, as his eyes shine for the first time with sincere, and earnest love and thanks
pls keep him 🥺
TOKOYAMI FUMIKAGE
the moment he hear the words "you're beautiful" come out of your mouth, he couldn't stop thinking about it for days.
and i mean days as in multiple days, so probably weeks
and he’ll probably think about it for the rest of his life
because when he looked at himself, he thought: what about him was beautiful?
he didn't have human-like features like everyone else, he didn't have those big muscles and a nice body, because-- well, he had a bird head!
A LITERAL BIRD HEAD, so why on earth did you: you who had human features, you who was so nice to everyone, and you who could have gone for so many other people call him beautiful?
he didn’t have that charisma and extroverted personality like some others did, and he kept to himself
why did you think he was beautiful? how?
but you were the one who said it. you were the one who reminded him, you were the one who gave him hope
and he knew that you were always straightforward with the truth-- and this was a truth, too
and to him, that was the most beautiful thing.
HANTA SERO
this amazing bby doesn’t get enough recognition
but for a good part of his life, he’d been surrounded by people with amazing quirks, levels of strength, and amazing appearances.
he was literally friends with bakugo fricking katsuki, and he was in the same class as shoto todoroki
when he first met you, he had to convince himself for days that there was no way that he could ever catch your eye,
until he did.
when you two met after a long day of training and you told him a joke, his eyes sparkled and he laughed, genuinely
before you knew it, you blurted out the words, “you’re beautiful” before realizing what you’d said and flushing
lol sero chokes on his water
“...did you really mean that?”
“i- yeah, sorry, i didn’t-”
“no, uh, thank you. thank you so much.”
for the next few days, he stays up at night and keeps on training because he thinks of the time you called him, who constantly felt like he wasn’t enough, beautiful
and that was more than enough to make him smile. 🥺💕
WHEN YOU KISS THEIR SCARS: IZUKU MIDORIYA, SHOTO TODOROKI
Tumblr media
IZUKU MIDORIYA
he immediately starts tearing up when you kiss them
most people probably expect him to get flushed with something so intimate, but it’s the opposite
his scars are just something that’s so meaningful to him because it’s evidence of what he’s been through
but at the same time, he’s also insecure about them because he feels like he disappointed his mom by getting hurt so often 🥺
when you kiss his scars and tell them that they’re beautiful, he starts tearing up because-- wow
this is the moment that he’ll remember until the day he dies, because it’s when he feels free to finally open up to you
it’s when he feels free to open up to anyone, for that matter, and a huge weight just gets lifted off his chest
you took his hands and kissed his knuckles before pressing your forehead to his
izuku begins to cry, just a little bit as you gingerly kiss his scars again
“you see? you’re safe. you’re safe with me, okay?”
he nods slowly. “th-thank you.”
SHOTO TODOROKI
you two were walking back to the dorms after training out on the field together
it wasn’t too late a night, just a few minutes before curfew
your hands were buried in your pockets as you two talked about your day and what you could improve on in training
“shoto, can i ask you a question?”
he thought you were mad at him for a moment 😳
“sure.”
you swallowed, as you took a breath, “can i touch your scar?”
he whips his head around, out of shock and confusion
you wanted to touch his scar?
shoto had never planned on anything like that happening to him, and especially not from someone who meant so much to him
“...i suppose so,”
you hid your anxiousness and swallowed, cupping his face in your hands as your hand brushed across his scar
a jolt went through your fingers at that moment, and it was the first time you’d ever felt so connected to someone
shoto todoroki, the prodigy and son of endeavor was letting you touch his scar
to your surprise, shoto melted into it as he closed his eyes, placing his hand gently on top of yours
you could feel his hands shaking though his expressions were so relaxed
you kissed the side of his scar, running a hand through his hair
“i’m so lucky to have you.”
WHEN YOU COMPLIMENT HIS QUIRK: EIJIRO KIRISHIMA, DENKI KAMINARI, HITOSHI SHINSOU
Tumblr media
EIJIRO KIRISHIMA
eijiro cursed as he slammed his head against the wall for the hundredth time that day
he hated to admit it, but ever since the sports festival, everything had just been falling apart
for starters, he was already insecure enough on his own about his quirk
it seemed like everyone had something flashy and made them look invincible, while he was stuck with something that could only follow around his body and cracked if he used it too much
and that... that made him upset
but when the sports festival came around, not only did he see everyone with amazing quirks and using them to their full potential, tetsutetsu had nearly the same quirk as him
and to make matters worse, they had tied and had to settle it with a fist fight
“why?” he asked to himself, looking down at the floor. “why couldn’t i- why couldn’t i have been born with a flashier quirk?”
great, now he was crying.
at least no one else was around to see him this weak-
“kirishima?”
oh shit.
he turned around, his bloodshot eyes locking with yours. “h-hey,” eijiro said weakly
“what are you- what are you doing here-?” you noticed the way his body trembled when he took a breath and blood trickling from his forehead. “hey, are you okay?” you said.
eijiro sincerely had no idea what to say. “my quirk,” he looked down at his hands.
you cocked your head. “what about it? i think it’s pretty neat!”
kirishima looked up. “really?”
“mhm!” you nodded enthusiastically. “it can be the strongest barrier, or the most powerful weapon! i think it’s cool that your body can just become a shield out of nowhere, it’s like-- it’s like you’re a shield, ya know? sure, todoroki might have his ice, but that makes damage and takes time to clean up, like midoriya’s punches or bakugo’s explosions. but your quirk is its own little thing! and i think that’s pretty neat.”
kirishima beamed. huh, maybe so.
DENKI KAMINARI
“good job, bakugo!”
“haha, nice job on that one, kirishima.”
“your quirk is so cool, todoroki! i love how the ice just went striaght through the roof!”
“nice jumping, deku! your punches are amazing.”
but i...
i was the one who helped the power come back, i was the one who literally fried my brain, i was the one who did all of that, and i-
i’m so weak.
denki inhaled through his nose, exhaled through his mouth, trying to stop the trembling in his breath as he closed his eyes
he had done so much, and what did he get in return?
all he wanted was to be someone, to be someone that made people smile, to be someone that people genuinely wanted to see
did anyone even want to see him?
“i’m a failure, i’m a failure, what am i doing, why am i so weakwhat’swrongwithmewhycan’tidoanythingright-”
“good job, kaminari!”
he turned his head, finding you running up to him and waving your hands up in the air
“hey! pikachu!” you exclaimed, trying to catch your breath once you stopped. “great job up there! you left before anyone else could notice, i can’t believe you managed to do all that. your quirk is so cool!”
denki’s heart swelled with pride, his eyes saying nothing but thanks.
your quirk is so cool!
“thanks, y/n! so, how do you feel about going to the arcade after school?”
HITOSHI SHINSOU
hitoshi stared at himself in the mirror, his eyes blood-shot and head fuzzy
“i’m not a villain.” hitoshi said slowly. “i can’t be a villain. i want to be a hero.”
he splashed the sink water onto his face. “get yourself together, are you really going to let a few words hurt you?”
but hitoshi couldn’t help but feel that way-- what could he even use his quirk for- no, no, he could use it for so much. but...
“ha! a quirk such as yours should be only used for villains, you monster! you might as well get out of here before anyone else tries to kick you out.”
hitoshi screamed in anger, splashing the water across his face and pressing hard into his eyes, before slapping himself across the face
“get yourself together..”
“hey, shinsou!! i was wondering if-”
your eyes locked with his frustrated expression. “shinsou? is... something wrong?”
normally, he’d push you away, but-- but now, he really needed someone
your breath hitched when you saw his eyes land onto yours, but for some reason, there was something so lonely and upsetting behind them, before you remembered what a few students at ua had said.
you didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but you were on a rush to get to school that morning and had to run ahead and pass through that area.
“if it’s about what some of those idiots said this morning, just... know that i think, for the record, that your quirk is so cool.”
shinsou’s eyes furrowed in confusion. you? you thought his quirk was cool?
“i’m not lying,” you said, as if reading through his thoughts. “i really think its amazing. you can help so many people with it, you can change the entire world with a quirk as special as that, so act like it! because it’s true, your quirk is really amazing, and i’m pretty sure you’re the only one who doesn’t see it, you knucklehead.”
he doesn’t tell you this, but-
ever since that day, he’s never stopped thinking about it.
