Can I please request a reader that has been so traumatised by what’s happened in the Scarabia book that they actively avoid the entire dorm and have Ace and Deuce as their guard dogs (I love those two and I really love how you wrote them as the readers protective besties during the Malleus break up fic). Like how would Kalim, Jamil and Adeuce react to that?

I find it really cathartic when I read fics that have the characters feeling guilty after what they put the reader through whilst the reader is getting support from their friends.

(Something I’m really salty about in twst is how no one ever holds the overblots accountable for what they’ve done. I full on agreed with Ace when he told Riddle that crying wasn’t going to erase all that he did before the overblot and I literally fell in love with him when he punched Riddle after he insulted us/Yuu/the player. I understand that those boys are traumatised and are in desperate need of therapy and overblotting was the only way for their problems to be solved but the treatment they inflicted on Yuu/us was downright hellish. Azul made us homeless and tore us away from the only family/comfort we had in twst (the ghosts) and then sent the tweels to terrorise us in our attempts to reclaim said home and free our friends from servitude; Jamil kidnapped us, hypnotised us, locked us up in a room against our will, isolated us from Adeuce and took away any contact we had with them, forced us on long marches in the dessert and turned a blind eye to our clear suffering during that time; Vil acted like a literal demon to not only us (and then almost made my Deucey cry) but everyone else as well and that was before he decided to try to murder an innocent teenager. Like why does no one understand just how much this can damage an actual child who has no magic and has been stripped from their home and family?)

🍓I love requests like this tbh. My own OC sorta has her own grapplings with this stuff that I like to touch upon, and I’m excited I get the chance to talk about it here :) THIS IS LONG AS HELL BTW(like this intro here lol). I had a lot of fun writing it :))) I added a cute, shorter little grim part, because our little guy deserves more lovin’ than he gets. I also decided to do a cute little (read: long) intro, and then head cannons since you didn’t specify for either. I hope you enjoy this style, and I’m sorry for the wait <3

You had been through… a lot in your time at Night Raven College. Being thrown into a completely different world would’ve been enough, but it seems that the great seven thought you needed some extra troubles. You weren’t sure how you could’ve encored their wrath, but you were, and you were chugging along despite it all.

First was the attack from the phantom in the mines — something that should’ve been foreshadowing for what was to come. You didn’t even do anything to be in this position. It was Ace Grim and Deuce, but you got dragged into it all because you were “Grim’s keeper.” You managed to befriend Ace and Deuce though, so it wasn’t so bad.

Second was Riddle with his unending temper and strict rules. Despite everything telling you to just stay out of it, your good-natured heart just couldn’t stop you from helping Ace and Deuce. Nearly dying in the process, you managed to help Riddle and made newfound friends in Heartslabyul.

Third came Leona, the selfish, stuck-up, lazy no-good prince of the Savannah. You knew he was trouble from the start, and you wanted nothing to do with him or his little lackey Ruggie. Then he hurt Trey, and you couldn’t stand by while he reigned terror on the school. He was a favorable ally to gain in the end, so you could dismiss his actions so long as he kept in his lane.

Fourth was Azul, another student you figured would cause you trouble. With the extra scary Jade and Floyd always tailing him, and that too buttery sweet voice of his, you were determined to keep your distance. Again, however, your friends were in trouble and you couldn’t help but help them. Azul was a broken person, and you could sympathize with his struggles. He even gave you a job at the lounge to help with funding yourself, so he couldn’t be all that bad.

You’d come to dislike the other house wardens out of principle. A pattern had emerged among them, and you weren’t going to fall victim to another horrific overblot. You still had suction cup-shaped bruises on your arm from Azul’s breakdown. Leona had given you more than just a nasty burn from the scalding hot whirlwind of sand he conjured up. The scars Riddle left behind on your face and arms were healed, but they still ached when you touched them. All painful reminders that you could not truly trust anyone here, that anyone could lose control of themselves and hurt you. Yet…

When you met Jamil in the kitchen, he seemed so kind to both you and Grim. He seemed so genuine and honest. Maybe it was wishful thinking, or maybe it was you missing your friends, but you wanted to trust him despite your gut feeling to be distrustful. Could everyone here really be that bad? Certainly not. Ace Deuce and Jack went here as well… so surely… surely…

The alarm bells didn’t ring at all during the dinner, and Kalim — despite everything you’ve been through — seemed so nice, if not a little overbearing. You could see the tiredness on Jamil's face, and you had the kindness in your heart to express your sympathies. And oh, Jamil so humbly assured you that he was fine. Filling your head with little half-truths and ideas that Kalim had been overworking not only him but the other students. That he had been acting “off” as of late.

You saw Kalim’s sudden shifts in personality. How he would be so sweet, so kind and soft. How he made sure you were enjoying yourself, made sure you ate to your heart's content, made sure you were comfortable in your uniform and your sleeping quarters. Then he would be yelling at everyone, demanding unspeakable exercises and work.

If Ace were there with you, he would’ve called bullshit. Still, you trusted Jamil to start. You actually believed he was kind and had good intentions. You believed that Kalim was the real evil here.

Then he wouldn’t let you and Grim leave, and the students were suddenly so aggressive toward you. He took everything you had and stripped you of your dignity and pride until there was nothing left but fight.

Truly, you didn’t realize it was him that was the issue until he was over-blotting in front of your eyes. It wasn’t an unusual sight to you at that point, you’d defeated multiple overblots and befriended these people. You don’t know what it was. The way you’d trusted him. The fact that you felt truly alone without Ace and Deuce. This one broke you…

You just didn’t feel a damn thing after he was saved. You felt no pity, no joy, no relief. Absolutely nothing, an empty void in your chest. Even as everyone around you celebrated, there was nothing. You stood watching everyone parade around with glee blankly, unable to speak to anyone around you. Just listening to the voices that had begun to mesh together.

You didn’t show anything until Ace and Deuce showed up. Something about their faces, the way they were looking over you, the way they seemed so scared for your wellbeing… it made you cry. It made you cry and cry and cry until you couldn’t make any noise and then you cried some more. They had to drag you away from everyone because you just couldn’t quite stand upright when Deuce would try to get you to walk away with him…

The days after were blurry. You remained holed up in your dorm, unable to really move from your bed. Ace and Deuce stayed in their own separate room next to yours. You could hear them talking through the walls about how worried they were about you, how angry they were at Jamil, how angry they were at themselves for not getting there in time to help you. If you’d had the energy, you would’ve scolded them for being so hard on themselves, but you could hardly speak in the first place.

They cared for you as best as they could. Deuce attempted to cook the recipes Trey sent him over magicam, making sure you ate and stayed hydrated. Occasionally you’d hear Azul downstairs, and Deuce would give you something nice from the Monstrolounge — free of charge, he promised. You could tell that he wasn’t sleeping much in his worry over you.

Grim remained at your side as loyal as a dog and boasting that he’d keep you safe, but you knew he was scared too. He proclaimed that he would keep you safe, but you could feel him trembling at every sudden noise. You had to comfort him from the horrific nightmares he was having. That was okay, though, he was family and you were his.

Ace was the only one who really kicked your ass into gear. He’d tug you out of bed and into the shower as people began to return from winter break. Made you go on walks around campus to show you that you were completely safe. Eventually, he’d been able to get you to visit Azul to thank him directly for his kindness. He wasn’t soft or gentle with you, that wasn’t in his character at all, but he made sure you felt safe enough to return to classes before they started.

They both worked hard to help you recover, but you were still so afraid…

Ace

-Ace isn’t exactly the most comforting person, and he never claimed to be.

-He’s not good at reassuring people, but he’s good at being honest, and if he was being honest he knew that you were safe around him and Deuce.

-He walks you to and from classes, spends most of his nights in your dorm doing whatever the hell you’d like him to do without complaint, distracts you when you’re freaking out, and most importantly keeps that snake as far away from you as possible.

-If he was being honest with himself, which was his whole thing, he didn’t really get your reaction to everything.

-You’ve all been through this before, it's textbook at this point. A guy does some shady shit, a guy gets caught doing said shady shit, a guy overblots, and you defeat a guy with the power of friendship. Boom. Done.

-He’d get it more if you were completely alone, but grim and the octanivelle freaks were there! Kalim too, and he’s always seemed pretty nice. Not the best company, sure, but still you had people helping you out.

-When he looks at your face and sees how tired you are, he forgets the logical stuff. All he can hear are those horrific sobs you let out when you saw him and how you nearly ripped his uniform in half with how tightly you were holding him and Deuce.

-If that was too much for him, he can’t imagine how badly it must’ve felt for you. How bad it must still feel.

-So screw what he thinks, he’s gotta make sure you’re taking care of yourself.

-He doesn’t ask you how you’re feeling, he knows it's not good. He focuses on keeping your mind off of everything that might trigger you.

-Reroutes your paths to classes to avoid Jamil and Kalim completely. Sure it’s longer and more annoying, but it's better than you going dead silent and shutting him and everyone else out again.

-He does everything in his power and you’re doing so well… and then the VDC happens.

-You’re given the title of manager and you’re forced to be around these people who terrify you.

-Vil won’t budge on anything and sevens Ace wishes Rook would let him try out a little target practice with the (illegal) bow and arrows he’s got in his room.

-He keeps himself between you and Jamil at all costs. He won’t let Jamil bother you at all, not that he was trying in the first place.

-The real issue is Kalim, which sounds crazy, but it’s true.

-Kalim is so… forceful. A pretty strong word, but honestly the only one Ace can think to use.

-He’s really nice, really sweet, seriously such a good guy… but you’re still unsettled by him.

-There are several times during practices that Ace has to yell at him to just leave you alone.

-Sure, it gets him a pretty big scolding from Vil, but he couldn’t care less honestly. He doesn’t wanna risk you having a panic attack because Vil doesn’t wanna be a responsible leader.

-You confide in Ace a lot. How you really want to move past all this, but Crowley won’t provide you with any form of therapy, and you’re just not ready to forgive Jamil or Kalim for what happened.

-He won’t tell you this, but hearing you talk like this breaks his heart.

-You’re normally so strong, so brave, so confident… and now you’re absolutely broken.

-He’s proud of you for putting on a brave face to placate Vil, but he’s angry you have to.

-Surprisingly, though, you do begin to warm up to Kalim. Just a little.

-It's only when Ace, Deuce, or Grim is around, but it's a really big step forward in his eyes.

-You’re getting back to where you used to be little by little.

-He still won’t give you or Jamil the chance to reconcile, but you honestly couldn’t be more grateful for that.

Deuce

-Deuce is incredibly different from Ace in how he handles everything.

-He’s a delinquent, sure, but he’s a Mama’s boy at heart. Therefore, he’s much more equipped to help you emotionally through all this than Ace.

-Where Ace is the harsh pushing force to keep you going, Deuce is the calm where you can rest and cry your heart out for as long as you need.

-As I mentioned, he makes sure you’re eating and drinking and at least speaking to someone.

-He asks Trey for recipes without leading on to what’s going on and asks Cater for advice on helping someone feel safe after a traumatic experience.

-It’s not subtle, but it helps.

-He handles making all your meals, even though he isn’t the best cook, he absolutely puts all his heart and soul into everything he makes.

-A good portion of his days are dedicated to cooking for you, and he gets pretty damn good at it by the time classes start up again!

-With Sam’s shop closed, he has to go into town to get the ingredients he needs, and then he has to spend hours preparing and serving the food.

-He watches you eat, encouraging you that everything is safe and that he made it all by himself by hand.

-He doesn’t question why things ended up this way for you, he wonders how can I help?

-And he does help, a lot, more than just with food.

-Sometimes, late at night, he hears you crying alone in your room. He gets up from his own bed, quietly enters your room, and holds you and grim while you both tremble in fear.

-It makes him so mad. Mad that this happened to you. Mad that Jamil did this in the first place. Mad that he couldn’t help more than he already is.

-Like Ace, he accompanies you to all your classes and makes sure to stay close to your side if any Scarabia students are around.

-He’ll go anywhere you need him to, and if you’re not comfortable being alone and he’s got plans, you’re invited to join him. No matter what anyone else thinks.

-Things get better little by little. You make strides in your ability to be independent again and you’re smiling and joking around like you used to. You even agreed to try out for the VDC with him and Ace… a big mistake.

-He didn’t expect to actually get in, let alone get in with Jamil and Kalim. If it were just that he could’ve been civil, but no, you had to be dragged in too… because that’s always how it works out.

-He has to hold himself from getting in Jamil’s face more than once because just him looking at you is enough to send you into a clear panic attack.

-Deuce does his best to comfort you between all of this, though. Being your shoulder to cry on and trying his best to be your protector… it's just hard. Hard to see you like that, and hard to keep his cool for your sake.

-It's worse with Kalim because both you and Deuce know he means well. You both know he wants to reconcile, but you’re not quite ready.

-Deuce helps the confrontation with the two feel a bit easier though. He acts as a mediator between you and Kalim, and eventually, he’s proud to say he helped you trust Kalim just a little bit.

-Jamil… both of you could use some work, but Deuce is more willing to hear you out on him than Ace is.

Grim

-Grim was there with you the whole time. He understands the fear you’re feeling deeper than anyone else.

-He could just tell something was wrong the second he saw your face. Despite all the celebrations, he was focused on making sure you were at least a little okay.

-He tried to talk to you, tried to make you feel okay, but the only comfort he could offer you was letting you hold him while you cried.

-He could still hear your cries, and they made him want to cry too. He almost did, but he was your guard cat — he had to be strong for you.

-Unlike Ace and Deuce, he never left your side. Not a second. He was there with you from the moment you were unwittingly kidnapped to the sleepless nights in your dorm to the horror of finding out you’d have to work closely with Jamil for the VDC.

-He made his distaste for him very known, sure to make a snarky comment at least once every time he saw him.

-It was so bad, at one point, that Vil had to give him a stern talking to. He didn’t stop regardless.

-You are Grim’s best friend, the only family he has, and Jamil hurt you in unspeakable ways. He couldn’t just sit back and be okay with that.

-He’s really such a good guy.

Kalim

-Kalim means well. With his whole heart, he has the best intentions… just not the best execution.

-See, he didn’t notice initially that anything was really wrong the whole time.

-He didn’t suspect Jamil at all. In fact, he thought that you were really enjoying your stay in Scarabia, you seemed so happy and chatty up until Jamil flipped things on their head.

-Call him air-headed, but he was caught up in his own whirlwind of emotions at the time. You know, the whole betrayal of his supposed best friend took a toll on him too.

-It wasn’t until you were sobbing your throat raw that he realized something was really wrong.

-The look of sheer terror on your face when you made eye contact with him sent shivers up his spine.

-He knew that look. He’d worn that look on his own face too many times as a young child.

-Believe it or not, without Jamil’s intervention, he knew to keep his distance. He knew he had to give you time to adjust.

-Then a few days turned into weeks and weeks turned into a little over a month, and he had hardly seen you around campus.

-You are avoiding your normal route to class, and when he did see you he was also greeted by the harsh glares of your good friends.

-He understood if you’d never want to talk to him ever again, honestly. He couldn’t blame you. You were more headstrong than him, after all.

-Still, when the VDC came around… he was hopeful. Truly he was hoping that something would give.

-He would talk to you in hopes of showing you that he meant no harm, but Ace or Deuce or even Grim would shove their way between the two of you.

-Several times Jamil had to tell him to knock it off because “It’s not worth forcing.”

-Still, he wanted you to know he felt bad. He felt horrible.

-In a very un-Kalim-like move, he quietly asks you if you can speak with him. Alone. But in a crowded enough area that you wouldn’t feel threatened.

-He didn’t expect you to accept it, he wouldn’t have blamed you at all. But you said yes.

-You showed up, with Grim by your side, which was fine. He earned some apologies too.

-He poured his heart out to you, apologizing for things that he couldn’t even control. In turn, he listened to you rant about how scared you were, how angry you were, how you wished you were any of these things.

-And after that, things improved. Slowly, but surely. You became more comfortable around him, and you spoke to him again.

-Sure, you wouldn’t be caught dead at one of Scarabia’s parties, but you considered him a friend.

-That’s all he could ask for.

Jamil

-Jamil is the monster in your story.

-He’s the evil guy who kidnapped, manipulated and lied to you.

-He’s the one who used his misplaced anger as an excuse to hurt others.

-He’s the boogyman who made you endure days of long and hard training, just because he could.

-Of course, he felt bad. What he did was unspeakable, but he was more concerned with how his reputation would last after the overblot.

-More concerned with it not getting out for the safety of his family.

-Even with you sobbing, he just thought you were being dramatic in all honesty. You have a reputation already, he knew you’d been through this whole thing before.

-It didn’t really strike him how badly it affected you.

-He didn’t notice how you switched paths, how you were never in the same area as him for long, and the glares of your friends never once phased him.

-Even Ace’s snarky comments during basketball didn’t bother him for a second.

It wasn’t until he accidentally bumped into you in the hallway, and he saw the look on your face that he realized.

-The terror in your eyes, the way you shrunk back as if he would strike you. It was the same way his parents acted around the Asim’s.

-If he were a more insane man, he might’ve found it liberating, but it wasn’t.

-He had become what he hated to you, he had done what he hated to you.

-Jamil was not only your monster, but he was his own.

-He steers clear of you and keeps as much distance as possible for both your sakes.

-He couldn’t handle someone looking at him like that, and he was sure you couldn’t handle the sight of him after what he did.

-Still, this is NRC, and luck is never on anyone's side here.

-Both of you are forced into a position where you cannot escape the other, you have to learn to live with the awful pits in your stomachs.

-He keeps Kalim away until you both are on good terms, then he simply watches quietly.

-He won’t apologize, he won’t antagonize, he won’t speak unless spoken to.

-You two never truly recover your small lasting friendship, but you do make amends with each other.

-During the trip to the scalding sands, you get to meet Najma, whom he’s confided in about ‘accidentally upsetting a classmate’.

-You get to have a good talk with her, and it makes you really realize some things about Jamil.

-You realize he’s just as broken as you, just as tired as you, and that he feels the most immense amount of guilt for hurting you.

-You, being you, find it in your soul to forgive him.

-Nothing really changes between you. The guilt is still there, and the fear still shakes you to your core, but you both have closure.

-In a situation like this, closure is the best grace a person can ever have.

I just had a thought- how would Grim and the ramshackle ghosts feel about all the stuff happening to us?

Especially if the yandere(s) are coming over to our dorm too! Would they, depending on the severity of the yandere and their specific actions, range from supporting it cuz yknow reader gets to be happy with someone who treats them well and loves them to concerned because sweetie please get yourself outta there 😭

I can imagine Grim is NOT alright with it and for a multitude of reasons, they are taking away your time with HIM, and once he pays more attention to the bigger picture? Yeah messed up things be occasionally happening that could very well hurt you!! He does not like that!!!

im just imagining Grim being visibly not alright and reader will not have it either when it comes to him, they are a PACKAGE deal and that is that no matter which yandere comes their way 🗣️

we have many people more alright with Grim being reader’s number one priority, or yknow silently(?) wishing it was them, poor Grim and Reader man encountering yandere after yandere 😭

Grim would give us a look if we expressed any sort of romantic interest in any yandere I think lol

So im mainly gonna focus on grim, no offence to ramshackle ghost fans, I just really like the silly little fire-cat/rat/weasel/creature. He was literally our first friend, our first companion (I bet Ace and grim bicker on who was your first).

And oh boy, guy is NOT HAPPY when he sees all these dumbasses vying for your attention and either trying to butter him up with tuna (which will not work on the mighty grim!) or ugnore him completely! Like you stated you and him are a package deal! Get the prefect and get their silly hungry companion!!

Now, grim surely uses his position as your closest companion as a safety net, they can't kill off the closest you have to family in this world! Guess they gotta live with him if they wanna have a life with you.

Ace hates that grim was your friend before him, feeling annoyed whenever he bullied (Juice) Deuce about being friends with you before him only for grim to butt in. Ace isn't too annoyed with grim though, and grim thinks that Ace is one of the better choises of the roster you have, they're both friends after all.

Of course most students in the cast don't liek "sharing" you with grim, especially the more territorial ones. Leona is probably the worst, I mean come on they're both feline looking creatures. With scent being a heavy thing for felines (yes even beastmen dont come at me) Leona is not happy to have his scent on you be muddied by the little rodent (the greatest mage of all, grim). Probably the worst choise since they're just gonna bicker to the end of the world..

Floyd doesn't like this either! Not fair that he has to share!! And with grim no less.. Floyd results in biting you instead of scenting, his chompers being good for nibbling on you. He also has the advantage that grim is sorta afraid of him (honestly who wouldn't be? Especially yan Floyd...).

Kalim tries to brime grim, with anything he could ever think off! Unlimited tuna for grim, and the best there is as well!! Nything grim could ever want on a silver platter, only if grim let's kalim marry you! That alone doesn't sound too bad, but that unsettling horrifying servant that follows Kalim around. He knows what jamil can do, and he sure does NOT want you with that dude!- guy is manipulative and creepy (he would definelty seperate you and grim!-)

Malleus... Malleus scares grim, guys is honestly horrifying. Threatening to curse him into an eternal slumber so he can whisk you away from him, he doesn't want that! You would also get sad id malleus did that, so luckily the possessive dragon had to share (for now...)

Whoever you choose, grim would probably disapprove, guy thinks of you as family (he will never admit that tho). He cares about you, and he is not okay with the invasion of privacy from these teenagers! >:(

kinda crack and self indulgent, reader is not yuu, gender neutral reader, reader wears an ankle length skirt bc i love long flowy skirts C:

"hey, prefect, what's with the socks?"

to ace and deuce, you, the prefect, are a modest and kind of secretive person. your modesty even extends to your clothes, as you opted to wear pants and long skirts that cover the majority of your skin. you also wear the gloves provided for students.

today, you wore a an ankle length skirt with a pair of mary janes. it was just another normal outfit you would wear, until they saw your socks. one was plain and in a teal colour, the other one was white with mushroom patterns. it wasn't like you to make mistakes so trivial like that.

"oh, this? i was-" you were rather rudely cut off by grim, who was being carried in your arms.

"myahh, those lookalike guys from the shady dorm somehow got henchhuman to wear 'em."

ace and deuce looked at you in concern. "the twins? why would they do that?" "they didn't threaten you or anything, right prefect?"

you only shook your head. "no, they just—"

"shrimpyyyyy~"

you sighed, a bit miffed. once again, you were cut off before you could explain. a lanky figure draped himself over your smaller form and wrapped his arms around your waist. the distinct laughter you could practically recognise from anywhere rang in your ears.

"floyd." you greeted curtly, letting out an exasperated sigh. grim let out an annoyed 'myahhh', having been passed to deuce the moment you heard the twins approaching.

floyd only laughed, his arms tightened around you ever so slightly. a chuckle echoed from behind you as jade made his appearance, looking as poised and calm as ever.

you sent jade an annoyed side eye. "only because floyd didn't want to wear the mushroom ones."

"awe, lil' shrimpy thinking for good ol' me~" floyd giggled shrilly and squeezed you again, the air out of you lungs. he then picked you up and started to walk away with you hanging over his shoulder like a sack of potato. jade followed right behind as they left with you.

you sent ace and deuce a death stare. "traitors. the lot of you." you mumbled under your breath. another sigh left your mouth, you propped your chin up with your hand against floyd's back.

I know you're not doing requests, but I love to Ramble Aceyuu thoughts with you (and just imagine me scattering aceyuu birdfeed for the lovelies to nibble on too)

But! For a few weeks now, Yuu's been, well, "harassed" probably isn't the right word, but there's a MobStudent from Pomefiore who just keeps on asking them out. Because the NRC guys are so quick to fight, Yuu's been trying to be gentle with their rejections, but c'mon man, gentle doesn't mean subtle! Take a hint!

Eventually PomMob gets frustrated and asks why Yuu won't date them, do they have a boyfriend already? Instantly Yuu snaps balcony with a "Yes, actually! I'm dating Ace Trappola!"

Yuu doesn't know why they had to say Ace's name (they do know, actually. But they'll die before telling Ace the reason his name was on their mind) and when telling Ace about this, they try and play it off as no big deal. "You swore off dating because it was a hassle, so it's not like I'm cockblocking you or anything!" (The Heartslaybul students watching this go down are all mentally going "Well no, but yes, actually" to eachother). Look, Ace helping you out, especially in warding off some guy who can't take a "no" was never in question. You both know you'd be the first to help the other. What is the question, however, is whatever Ace did that was so awful the Seven felt it was right to answer his wishes of Yuu asking him to be their boyfriend with the cruel twist of if being a fake relationship. He agrees, as much as part of him would love to see you squirm in trying to explain to PomMob about you lie, he's been trying to get the guys to agree to jumping PomMob with him for some time if he kept not getting the hint (and if this as close as he gets ro dating you? Well, Ace always takes an opportunity when he sees it).

Meanwhile, Yuu is just so happy that Ace held their hand to class and PomMob seems to be taking the hint now that they almost forgot they were faking it until Malleus asks if Ace is okay with their nightly walks or should he stop lest your paramour get the wrong idea and as Yuu explains the situation to Malleus do they realise they asked their crush to be their boyfriend, he said yes but only because its pretend. Malleus doesn't get why Yuu's so upset but tries to orchestrate a real love match for his bestie anyways.

Fast forward five years as Deuce walks into Aceyuu's apartment, seeing one on the others' lap cuddling and just goes "you know PomMob is like, engaged now, right? You can stop pretneding" (Honestly, Aceyuu forgot the pretend part like, 2 weeks into the plan and just never told anyone).

:D I already see you that way furu, I am always happy to receive your breadcrumbs. As should be the aceyuu stans! they are always very good everyone say "thank you" to furu ٩(๑`^´๑)۶

Fake dating isn't my favorite trope but... the idea of aceyuu just going out to get someone off yuu's back and then like. Not ever fake breaking up. It is the exact type of classic dumbassery they would participate in, Ace shifts from joking to how he doesn't have time to date because he's "taking care of you" to joking about how you can't break up because "who else will take care of you this good." And you know what? You agree. He's stuck with you now. And he isn't complaining.

Deuce is though you could have at least told him.

Summary: aro-ace first years x aro-ace gn! Reader. Things you guys get up to in a queerplatonic relationship.

Dorm Leaders

Tbh, I've always wanted to go up to him and say, “Hey Ace, I'm ace!” But if you did this while you're in a QPR, he'd always come up with a snarky comment. Maybe say something like, "Nah, I'm Ace. Fuck off." Smh. He's so silly. I wanna throw rocks at him

He's the aro-ace that always forgets he's aro-ace. He'll come up to you like, “Guess who has a date!” Then he'll come see you afterwards, his eyes dead, and he'll be like, “So, I got distracted by how pretty they are. Oops.” He sees people as attractive, but when he tries to bridge the gap, he's always like, oh, yeah, nevermind. And then he complains to you about it, as though you were the one to set up the date!

He's always in your space. Being in a QPR with him is like gaining an extra cat. He's so affectionate, as long as you don't say anything. He'll scoot his chair so close to yours that your legs touch. If you're laying on the couch, he will climb over you and shove himself into your arms, in the most awkward, clumsy way possible. BUT IF YOU SAY ANYTHING…. he's gonna gaslight the hell out of you. He didn't want to touch you, get out of his space. Or, pay him if you wanna be in his space so badly.

Not only is he in your space, but he's stealing your food. What's yours is his, and what's his is his. He'll reach his fork over to your plate, and pick up your food. You'll wake up to a noise at three in the morning, and you'll see him raiding your fridge. If you ever become roommates, you'll catch him eating your labeled leftovers, zero shame on his face. What? True love is sharing food with your bestie!

Calls you his wife/husband/spouse when he introduces you. Then he can't fight off the shit eating grin on his face.

You know…honestly… if your mc isn't romantic with Ace, I'd say that in game they already kind of have a QPR. Calling it canon right now. He's just always slightly more close than a friend, but also not quite to romantic.

If you read the first rendition of these HC's, he's a lot like Kalim. He just…doesn't get it. Ace tries to explain that the love he feels for his best friend (you) is different to romantic love and he just never gets it. If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, Deuce wants to marry his best friend. He says he wants to marry you all the time. Let's get married and have kids but like in a friend way. His mom and you just smile and shake your heads.

Btw? Mama Spade? That's your mom now. The Spade household has a room set aside for you anytime you want to come over, but it always ends up in Deuce joining you for a cuddle sesh. Sometimes, he won't change rooms until you are half asleep, and he'll slowly open the door, and stand in the doorway. He just looks so sad, standing there in his jammies, holding his extra pillow, so you'd be a monster not to let him in.

Would you co parent some chickens with him? Please please please! He promises he'll do most of the work, he just needs an extra helper!

If you are separated, he will die. He doesn't make the rules. He wants you to be his partner on projects. He wants you to move in with him. And of course you gotta go into the same career after graduation. When people meet him, they just think he is the mopiest little guy. Then, when they see the two of you together, it's like he's a completely different person! Deuce has been asked twice now if he has a secret twin. (Deuce doesn't understand the question)

Greets you with cheek kisses. If you don't do it back, or don't pay enough attention the first time, he makes a very obnoxious kissing sound. He learned this technique from Meemaw. She taught him that the more embarrassing it is, the more likely you are to reciprocate the love he gives.

The boy grew up in a country area with a sweet old grandma. He's always going to be feeding you. It's very rare, when you two are alone, that he's not trying to put some food in your mouth, because “you're not eatin’ enough!” And he's aggressive about it! If you try to dodge the fork he brings to your mouth, he's gonna chase you, pin you down, kick your shins, whatever it takes to get you to eat. Plus, he put all of his love into that food! Why don't you want it?!

Meemaw wants you both to get married. And whenever she says something, Epel makes a loud gagging sound. Which of course prompts you to begin bickering with him about why he wouldn't want to marry you, which usually results in him saying something mean or bratty about how you are unmarriageable. Meemaw sighs happily, thinking she's got you on the right track, but nah. You two are having a fight about something neither of you even wanted.

Likes to tuck you into bed. It's a weird thing of his. For all of how aggressive most of his love is, right before bed, he is at his sweetest. He tells you it's bed time, and pulls back the covers. He gently tucks you in, and gives you a kiss on the forehead. Then he flops onto the bed next to you, completely wrecking the moment. But he sleeps hot, so he's not gonna join you under the covers.

This one is like having a big brother. He has scary dog privileges. Any haters/bullies/naySayers are going to have to be able to spread their hate with him standing behind you and glaring at them. And if they somehow are brave enough to do it, then they have to be brave enough to ignore his vicious growl.

In his birthday note to me, this year, he was like, “my gift for you is to make you buff.” This is your everyday life now. You will be buff. How else are you supposed to be safe when he's not there? (This logic is flawed. He is always there.)

Wants to have a family. But since neither of you are super into the traditional way of having a family, he would like it if you'd adopt and co raise a couple of kids with him. He knows the two of you together would make great parents.

If you learned how to make pear compote, and then make it for him when he's having a bad day, he might almost figure out what romantic love feels like. Almost. His heart would just be so full, and so light, that he could almost mistake it for being in love with you. Almost.

He likes for you both to help each other out with cleanliness. You help him clean his ears and tail, and he helps brush your hair and teeth. It makes him feel loved when you help him groom. So he loves to return the favor. It really instills the familial feel he has around you.

Sebek’s a romance repulsed aro-ace. Anytime he thinks of anyone having ooey gooey feelings for another person, he dry heaves a little. In his words, “IF THEY HAD PURE DEVOTION FOR SOMEONE, THE WAY I AM DEVOTED TO MY LORD, THEY WOULD HAVE NO NEED FOR SUCH FOOLISHNESS.”

Never puts a label on what you two are. He invites you to move in with him after graduation to “remind him what happens if you forget to train and refuse to eat Lilia's healthy meals”. If you were a stranger, you'd be hurt. But you know it's an excuse. He really just likes having you around. It fills a hole in his heart.

His love language is “caring for your fragile human body”. If you slightly shiver, even if it's just a random reaction, he is scooping you up, wrapping you in a blanket burrito, and spoon feeding you soup. If you try to escape your blanket, he gently shushes you, caressing your cheek and whispering about how you need to hang on a little longer. He'll save you, don't go yet! (Similar things happen when you cut yourself, stub your toe, accidentally skip a meal…his dad and Silver may be human, but, no offense, he didn't care that much until it was about you.)

You're the equivalent of a comfort blanket. When Lilia sees Sebek having a bad day, he'll snatch you away from whatever you are doing, then place you in front of him. Sebek immediately gets distracted and starts cooing at you about how wonderful you are, and how other people should try to be like you. Every. Single. Time.

Trains you to sword fight. After you become special to him, he realizes that people may target you, in order to weaken him, and thus get a direct route to Lord Malleus. Delusional So he wants you to be able to protect yourself if he is out of reach.

He's big on setting his hand on top of your head, then messing up your hair aggressively. Then he lets out a booming laugh about how cute human reactions are.

Sometimes, he gets so happy when he sees you that he just…bites you. He'll come in for a hug, and the next thing you know, he's chomped down on your shoulder with a relaxed smile. Sometimes you'll be watching a movie together, and he'll unconsciously take your hand, and bring your forearm to his mouth so he can gently bite it. You're a fidget toy now. You'll have to get used to it.

Twisted Wonderland Boys Confession headcanons! PT.1!

Hi hi! This is my first post, or at least content post on here so don’t be afraid to ask for other characters or drop advice for future stories, one shots, or headcanons!

Characters: Riddle Rosehearts, Cater Diamond, Ruggie Bucchi, and Azul Ashengrotto

Riddle Rosehearts:

When Riddle knew he had feelings for you he had a bit of trouble showing it..

He could tell he loved you that much was obvious, but how would he tell you

He tried making his own confession plan, he even tried to confess once!

But sadly you were pulled away from him but Ace and Deuce yelling about how they needed your help since Grim had run away and caused havoc again

He was fuming at the two

He was so close to telling you! So close! But the idiot duo had to come and screw things up and ruin his otherwise perfect confession

After that whole ordeal He had no confidence in his plans so he went to Trey for help

After he talked with Trey, the plan he had put together is that during one of your study sessions he had asked to look over your notes so that he could make sure you had what you would need for an upcoming test.

While he was looking over the notes, with the slightest blush on his face he slipped a note in between the pages of the notebook for you to find later

He soon regretted it since after a day or two you hadn’t found the note and anxiety was eating him up from the inside

When you do find the note it goes a little something like this:

To Y/N,

I know that it may be surprising to find this in your notebook but I can’t tell you this face to face. You have been there for me when I needed you and you’ve helped me a lot. I thank you for all you’ve done. Though through all you’ve done I have realized something. That every queen needs someone by their side to rule with them, so Y/N. Will you rule beside me?

Cater Diamond :

You and Cater would have to be really close before he started developing feelings for you

Which usually means seeing the Cater behind all the social media fame and seeing him for him, and not seeing or treating him differently after you do find out

What made Cater really fall for you was how caring you were to most, including himself

How you didn’t just see him as some silly goofy person who’s whole life was posted for the world to see

But the Cater that he had tried to cover up with a mask

And you still cared for him

Cater definitely panicked a bit when he realized he liked you, because of his social media following, he had a lot of people who wanted to date him, what would they think?

You might receive threats if you’re dating him from people who are jealous, and he didn’t want you to deal with that

So for a long while he didn’t really acknowledge his feelings, even though they were there and they were growing

One time he made a post asking what his followers would think if he dated someone

He, to his surprise, got an overwhelming amount of support from his fans

And that gave him the confidence boost he needed to finally confess

The problem was he was too anxious to do it face to face so one evening he called you and talked for awhile

When he thought it was a good time he took a deep breath, “Hey, you know I love you right? And not just like the ‘yeah we’re besties’ kind of love, I want you to be mine.. So what do you say?”

Ruggie Bucchi

Ruggie and you were really good friends!

You’d help him out when ever he needed it and in exchange you had a hyena who was a bit clingy following you around

Ruggie was a bit clingy, he always had been, but as of late he’s been wanting to be a bit more clingy, but at the same time didn’t want to annoy you.

He didn’t know why he wanted to be around you so much but he just thought that he just really trusted you

He only realized that he liked you when you went out of your way to see him, not only that but you brought him donuts?

Then you just let him rant about Leona?

Yep this man is 100% in love with you

When it comes to confessing he’s a bit nervous so when he realizes he likes you he’ll start dropping hints hoping that you pick up on them and fall and confess to him so he doesn’t have to

If you don’t he’ll start to get nervous and realize that he might be the one to confess

So one day he had some free time to slip away from Leona and find you

His ears were twitching as he put his hands behind his head trying to seem calm and collected which he was not

“ Listen I know you’re my partner in crime and all, but you can’t go stealing my things!” You were confused and asked him what you stole, “My heart, so I demand that you let me steal yours for it to be fair that is..

Azul Ashengrotto

At first it was a silly throw away comment that Floyd had thought would be a funny idea, “ Shrimpy and Azul dating? That sure would be a sight to see”

But the more and more Azul actually thought about it, it might be nice to date you..

Soon enough what was a silly joke turned into Azul slowly coming to terms that he had fallen for you

He would not be the kind to confess as soon as he realized his feelings

He would wait awhile to make sure it wasn’t like a playground crush that would go away in the matter of a month or two

But the more time that passed the more the feelings grew never growing weaker or leaving, it wasn't a silly playground crush, Azul had really fallen for you

After he was certain he made a flawless plan on how to confess, or so he thought..

He had everything planned, he would invite you to the Monstro Lounge and talk to you for a while before he finally told you how he felt.

When the day came Azul made sure he looked perfect, still nervous out of his mind but as the night went on he started getting more comfortable.

You talked through the evening and when you started leaving the Lounge Azul realized

He didn't even confess..

Which led him to him stopping you outside the Mostro Lounge and confessing, “Wait for a moment! I- I seemed to have forgotten the most important topic of tonight, I wanted to tell you that-” He took a deep breath and his cheeks turned red, “I- I love you, and I wanted to know if you felt the same…”

Proposing to Floyd with a Ring Pop

You and Floyd have been friends for a good while now. Ever since you arrived at NRC, you both clicked with each other and became good friends. However, it was time for the next step, a major step in any friendship: to become besties.

Best friend isn't a term to be taken lightly. It was a huge deal. Your bestie is your bestie. To go from friends to best friends means to be able to truly trust one another and be able to shit talk people together. Furthermore, it is the stage where you can dump all of your trauma on the other than sneak out to a McDonald's at 3 am to cope. The title 'best friends' is a heavier title than 'husband' or 'spouse'

You still your beating heart as you peruse around Sam's shop, looking for the perfect ring to present to Floyd. Sam noticed your serious expression.

"My my, little imp, you look so tense! What's the matter?" "Sam, I think I found… the one." At that Sam's expression beamed. "I could tell by your expression alone, so you found the one, huh? I'm sure you want something unique, just like them." You nodded, as Sam started to pull out more rings from behind the counter.

Taffy, honey, licorice, cherry, and all sorts of high-end and beautiful rings were brought to you, yet none seemed to match the one who had your heart. You sighed in defeat and shook your head, ready to give up until you felt a hand on your shoulder. Sam looked into your eyes before holding out a box. "Feast your eyes on this, surely it's exactly what you were lookin' for?"

You snap open the lid to the small box before you. The ring inside shone so brightly it nearly left you in tears. A deep turquoise blue raspberry body, with green– almost black– accents running through it. The very top of the ring had a deep purple grape swirl in the shape of an eel. This was the one.

You gave Sam a heartfelt hug and forked over a small fortune (0.99c) for the ring. Sam gave you his best wishes before waving you off. Now all you had to do was pop the question, but where? Where would Floyd want to be when proposed to. Knowing him, he would love it to be a public affair, especially in front of his loved ones. That's when a light bulb went off your head. You knew where to propose. Tomorrow. Tomorrow you were going to make it official.

Today. Today was the day. Today was the day it was going to be official. You held the deep purple velvet box to your chest as you approached the cafeteria. Deuce and Ace shot you a glance at the box.

"Don't you think you're taking this a little too seriously?" Deuce asks, genuinely concerned. Ace nudges him, holding in tears, "Nah, I say they aren't taking it seriously enough! You better give us a fucking speech, Yuu." You look back at your other besties, memories of the time when you proposed to them coming back into your head. "I just hope he says yes."

"Relax, it'll be fine! Me and Deuce will be watching from afar okay?" Cherry and Blueberry. Those were the rings you proposed to those idiots with. You remember it like it was yesterday. The way Ace was moved to tears and Deuce's passionate "what the actual fuck" plays through your head. You know what? They're right! You'll nail this! Floyd will definitely say yes.

You slinked off to where Floyd usually sits, ignoring Ace snickering behind you as he guides Deuce to another table. You saw Floyd chatting with his fellow dorm members. Azul was pinching the bridge of his nose at whatever Floyd was saying, Jade was listening while eating with his chopsticks politely.

When Azul opened his eyes he spotted you. "Ah, hello there Prefect. Is there something you nee–" "Floyd." You interrupted Azul and dropped to one knee dramatically right behind him. The impact of the drop made Jade's food tray rattle and his eyes widen in surprise. Floyd turned around, eyes wide, but amused. "Eeeh? What's this shrimpy~?" He purred in that beautiful voice of his. You swear you heard Ace losing his shit in the background.

"I know we haven't known each other very long, but I have feelings for you. Very strong feelings. You've been an amazing part of my life and I want to make it official." Tears rolled down your eyes as you spoke, and Floyd's eyes went wide as he saw you pull out a box. "Sh… shrimpy…" Jade looked on amused at the proposal as Azul sighed, yet he still watched.

"Will you…" you opened the small box, revealing the ring to him. Floyd let out a gasp and covered his mouth, trying his best to hide a smile. "Will you be my bestie, foreve-" "OH MY GOD YES, YES I WILL!" Floyd immediately tackled you into a hug, lifting you up and squeezing you before spinning around in circles. Ace didn't even bother to hold back his laughter anymore, and even Jade let out a chuckle.

You pulled away slightly, much to Floyd's annoyance, but that annoyance was replaced with delight when he saw you present the ring. Floyd stuck out his hand, allowing you to slip the ring onto his finger. He admired it for a moment, before immediately cronching on it. His eyes were closed and the corners of his lips were in a lazy smile as he chewed, looming like a puppy. Azul had his head in his hands, but who cares what he thinks.

Floyd hoisted you up, bridal style, and held you close to him. "Come on, Shrimpy!" Floyd laughed out. "We're gonna skip class and go celebrate!" And just like that, you and Floyd eloped, running off into the sunset together to celebrate becoming besties. Your relationship flourished as besties and was known worldwide for its seriousness. Even hundreds of years later after you both have passed, historians look on at what is the most beautiful recorded friendship ever. There are plays and songs of you two. Many have goals to be as close to someone like you and Floyd. But even in the future, the tradition of proposing to become besties was a common thing now due to you.

Also sorry if the least two are a bit short I was both getting tired and don’t know a lot about them yet so I’m still in need of some practice ig!

Riddle

If you watch closely, you can see Riddle go through the five stages of grief as soon as you ask him.

Denial: no way. The prefect who has stopped Overblot after Overblot is not reducing their problem solving skills to this. (They are.)

Anger: How could they?!?! Do they have no respect for the way dating is usually done?! For themselves?! (Apparently not.)

Bargaining: Well, surely it doesn’t have to be him. Ask Ace or Deuce! Just say he’s your boyfriend and don’t make him actually do anything. (It won’t work that way.)

Depression: Is….is he seriously going to do this? If anybody finds out, his reputation will be dragged through the mud! He can imagine the field day Ace and Deuce will have if you ever tell them…

Acceptance: Riddle’s made up his mind, and he is not happy about the decision he made.

You barely have time to cheer for your victory, because before Riddle does anything, he is setting down the ground rules. Most of them start ok: hand holding was a-ok, hugs should rarely be a surprise, only short cheek kisses allowed (he turned bright red and hastily agreed to whatever you said was acceptable)… He even insisted you had to maintain a certain grade point average if he were to help you, as if you were some kind of athlete on a scholarship. Eventually the two of you settle the details, and you skip happily out of the office with a new (fake) boyfriend ready for…whatever it is you have planned.

Riddle, at first, was very…stiff. He wasn’t sure what exactly he was supposed to be doing. After all, he had little to no experience and it’s not like he was particularly invested in the relationship as anything other than a good friend and a man of his word. You’re the one initiating any affection, and the best he can do is not appear wildly uncomfortable and embarrassed when you do.

It’s not that you make him uncomfortable. It’s just…if this were real, he’d definitely opt for affairs to be more private. Making such a literal show out of something that he’d like to keep private just feels…a bit weird.

Don’t worry, though! Eventually, he falls into the act, and he is damn good at pretending to be the perfect boyfriend. It’s definitely less ‘naturally suave and charming’ and more ‘this boy has definitely memorized a syllabus (or several) for an etiquette class before’ but hey! Whatever works, right? Just hope there isn’t a pivotal moment with Ace and Deuce around because…they are weirded out by their bestie pretending to date their housewarden, and they make it known.

“What are you two looking at?” Riddle asked sharply, fighting the urge to shift uncomfortably in his seat. Ace and Deuce had been staring at him like he had grown a second head ever since you left to get your lunch, and he was beginning to fear the incoming outburst.

It was Ace who cracked first, hitting the table with one hand. “Dude, what are you doing? It’d be weird enough if you were dating them for real, but this is even weirder! It’s way weirder, right?”

Deuce nodded. “Definitely. I mean, it’s not exactly our business, but…”

“But we have to watch it from our lunch table! So I think we should get to speak our minds if it’s a daily occurrence.”

Riddle sighed, doing his best not to make a scene. “The prefect and I have everything under control, so-”

Ace’s face suddenly brightened as he got an idea. From experience, Riddle knew that was definitely not good. “Oooohh, I get it! You’re just trying to prove to them that you’d be a good boyfriend because you like them!”

Unable to hold himself back, Riddle stood from his seat and watched as the pair cowered before him. “Don’t you two know how many rules you’re breaking by delving into other people’s personal business? Another word out of you and I’ll have your heads!”

Riddle catches feelings somewhere in the middle of the act (or, if he already had them, they get worse), but he doesn’t even realize anything’s amiss until you tell him you’ll free him in a few days. Then he spends the night wondering why the thought made him feel so heavy and panicky.

He doesn’t strike me as the type to ask you out once the deal is over, though. Honestly, he’s probably still analyzing every last detail, every last emotion he had around you while also trying to figure out if you feel similarly. Did you ask him to be your fake boyfriend because you wanted him to make a move, or do you just really trust him? Were you flustered when he played his part exceptionally well because you liked him, or were you a better actor than he thought?

If YOU ask him out, he’ll stand there starstruck for a solid few seconds before clearing his throat and eventually agreeing. If you don’t, it’ll take him some time. But eventually he’ll ask for your company and begin gently prodding you under the guise of asking if he did a good job. No matter what you answer - telling him yes or teasing him for how strict he was about the whole thing - he’ll clear his throat before asking…did that make you wonder what it’d be like to date for real? He can promise that there will be less rules for this relationship…or, at the very least, more leeway.

Leona

Leona is the worst choice if you’re trying to actually accomplish something, but the best choice if this is a last-ditch attempt to see if he likes you likes you.

Very few things are worth putting in the effort, and the amount of stupid things on that already short list is 0. When you tell him your plan, the only reason Leona doesn’t condescendingly laugh in your face is because he’s pretending to be asleep (a point of pride, really, considering you wouldn’t continue your blathering if you didn’t think he could hear you.)

Whatever your reason for needing a fake boyfriend, you’re only going to convince him through bargaining. Keep in mind, putting up with you and pretending to enjoy it is a tall order. If you’re stuck skipping Crewel’s class two days a week and bringing Leona lunch so he can use you as a pillow, consider that getting off easy.

…you almost would consider yourself lucky, if Leona actually held up his end of the deal. He isn’t pretending to enjoy this at all. Hell, half the time he isn’t even with you. And when he is, he’s doing off or just as gruff as usual. You don’t have a fake boyfriend any more than you have a grumpy lion to babysit.

It’s weird, though, because now Leona is reluctant to leave your side. Before, you could push him off you and eventually have him swagger away to do something else. Now, your prodding is met with a snide grin and him asking you, “What, herbivore, isn’t this what you wanted? I seem to remember you begging and pleading me to-”

Hopefully you don’t need the fact that this is fake to be a secret because…he won’t listen. Whoops.

Honestly, you’re surprised he’s even fulfilling any part of the deal. But the moment you need someone on your defense team, it’s like he appears out of thin air, teeth bared and bad attitude sharpened for lethal destruction.

The second years that were bothering you scrambled to their feet, not willing to go toe-to-toe with Leona when it only took one swipe of his arm to knock them both to the ground. They stammered out useless apologies, meant more to be shields and less to be peacemakers, before running back to safety.

“Tch. Young enough to get into trouble and old enough to prey on the weak,” Leona muttered, rolling his shoulders back as if to shake the irritation off. You tried to blink away your surprise before he turned around, not willing to be the subject of his ire after he nonchalantly threw twice your weight to the ground. But of course he already knew. “What’re you looking so shocked for? I barely did anything.”

“I…didn’t realize you were there,” you said simply. Leona’s ears almost imperceptibly flattened and his tail stilled in its lazy movements against the ground.

Before you could ask him about it, he scoffed. “No wonder they thought you were an easy target, then.”

Neither of you can pinpoint exactly when your arrangement became enjoyable, per se. When you started it felt like your relationship was worse than it had been before, but now Leona seemed to love nuzzling into your shoulder and he could, more often than not, be found trailing after you (as long as you promised you weren’t going far or to do something exhausting). You didn’t remember when he decided it was alright if you ran your fingers through his hair or over his ears, either.

He’s not going to be the one to take the leap and make anything official. As far as he’s concerned, if you’re enjoying yourself you’ll stick around. and if you leave, well, it couldn’t be said he wasn’t your first choice if he never gave you a choice, right? If you’re interested in labels and stuff……just tell him that you no longer need a fake boyfriend but are looking for the real deal. If you ask sweetly enough, he might just offer to fill the spot in for you.

Azul

I’M GONNA BE REAL WITH YOU. MY BOY PROBABLY HAD FEELINGS BEFORE YOU EVEN CAME UP WITH THE IDEA.

When he hears your proposition, he’s torn between two perspectives: one, that you’re certainly toying with him and about to call him a fool for even accepting, or two, that this could be an excellent investment opportunity. He’s nervous, absolutely, but he’s never sensed that sort of hostility from you. (Ignoring the fact that he’s “lowkey” thought you made the sun shine for a while now). So he accepts your proposition, with a very clear IOU from you.

(In his giddiness, he couldn’t quite figure out what to take from you out of this deal, yet he was wise enough to think not wanting anything might make him look desperate. You, in your desperation from…whatever you needed him for, didn’t care much for specifics as long as you got a yes. Perhaps you were BOTH fools.)

Azul puts on quite a show as a fake boyfriend. He’s a master at sidling up beside you when you’re walking in the halls, falling into step with you like it was nothing. His conversation is light, easy, and you find your laughter to come naturally. Azul finds himself handing you small trinkets, charms to hang off your belongings or snacks from the Mostro Lounge (because he’s seen what you put together from Ramshackle, and he describes it to you as cute, his true distaste dripping off his words.)

But there are moments he gets…shy. Like if you laugh for a moment too long he starts to think you thought he was funny for real. Or when you toy nervously with the charm hanging off your phone, or insist he share the snacks he brought for you. When Azul works up the nerve to drape his coat over your shoulders, allowing you to nap atop your assignments while he finishes paperwork, he wants to reach out and touch you, admire the shape of your face, maybe push your hair away, just a bit…

But he doesn’t. For as well as he puts on a show, Azul has never initiated any of the affection. You have, sure. You grab his arm as you walk through the halls, you lean on him when he’s sitting close to you, you’ve even been so bold as to kiss his cheek a few times. Each time, Azul has heard his own word stutter, felt his breath catch and his cheeks warm. It was easy to pretend you were interested in him the way he was interested in you. But at the back of his mind, a voice reminded him that this was pretend. There was a time limit.

As the end of your little deal approaches, Azul gets more and more distant. He stiffens more when you touch him, and sometimes he interrupts your move to kiss his cheek and instead kisses your hand. The one thing he doesn’t give up, though, is walking with you whenever he can.

One night, when he steps onto your porch and prepares to bid you goodnight (he’s never been inside, you note, not since you’ve started this whole charade), you stop him from leaving with a gentle call of his name.

Instantly, he freezes, but he still responds in a level voice. “Yes?”

There is finality hanging in the air, heavier with each day your final date approaches. Rarely has there been a time where you felt just how important a moment was, yet here this moment was, catching you entirely unprepared.

“…what about my IOU?"

"What?” Azul jolted, forcing his glasses askew instead of pushing them up like he intended. “Oh, yes. Your end of the deal.”

Where you felt tension, Azul felt it even more, wanting nothing more than to curl up into a trembling, sniffling ball somewhere and figure out what was going on. He thought he could use this scheme as a practice run, proving to you just how capable he was and how good of a boyfriend he could be so you’d surely realize what you were missing and want him. Instead, it felt more like you were doing a victory lap, then three, then five, proving that you really had captured his heart long ago.

It’ll be up to you to offer up a real relationship. For as much as Azul tries to be the confident businessman with answers to everything, he’s still not quite to the point where he can just brazenly ask you out. Besides, asking you to date him to fulfill a deal just feels nasty and insincere. Nervous and self-conscious as he is, Azul is still greedy, and he wants your love to be genuine, should he ever earn it.

(It’ll be up to you to let him know he already has, but won’t you take the jump if you know he’s already yours?)

Kalim

Here’s the thing: Kalim missed the part where you said fake boyfriend.

As a friend, Kalim is naturally affectionate. He’s not just ‘lean on your shoulder when he’s tired’ affectionate, either. He’s a ‘lean on your shoulder all the time like it’s a wireless charger and he’s a phone at 3% battery’ affectionate. A ‘tackle you to the ground if he’s been away from you for more than an hour’ affectionate. A ‘here, let me shower you in gifts worth more than you’d see in your life otherwise’ affectionate.

So it makes sense that you’d ask him - surely, nothing would change, right? Maybe you’d hold hands a little more obviously, or make up ridiculous pet names for fun, but it couldn’t be too bad, right? Plus, Kalim didn’t leave a bad impression on anybody (mostly), so he’s an obvious choice for a good fake boyfriend.

However….the gifts start rolling in, and you’re not sure what to do.

If Kalim missed the part where you said fake, you were at fault for not following up and setting up clear rules and boundaries. Sometimes Kalim gets so excited about things, you get swept up in the whirlwind, too. But the small mountain of (real???? Almost definitely but you’re too scared to check) gold jewelry growing underneath the socks in your drawers is enough to send you into a small panic.

At first, you try to play it cool, as if this is normal and expected and not totally stressful. Aside from the gifts, things are fine! Kalim is a natural at slinging an arm around you and leaning into you like it’s nothing. He doesn’t just hug you anymore, he holds you tightly and nuzzles up to you, eager to prove you fit like complimentary puzzle pieces. And, while you aren’t familiar with the culture around dating and courting in the Scalding Sands, the garments he begins gifting you seem awfully familiar to the significant pieces he was talking about just days before you got yourself into this mess.

Whatever plot you needed a fake boyfriend for is quickly swept aside as you try to figure out what to do with your maybe-fake-maybe-accidentally-real boyfriend situation. You try to ask Jamil for help, but he only gives a flat look that screams ‘you got yourself into this mess’ and ducks away to go to basketball practice. Clearly an intervention is in order, but you feel like you’re the one that’s lost, and Kalim is a bullet train without working breaks.

“You do remember that the plan was for us to fake our relationship, right?”

There. You said it. That dreaded ‘what are we?’ that you never thought you’d actually have to say was out in the open, feeling just as heavy on your shoulders as it did in your chest. Part of you wondered if you sounded too accusatory, but you were at wit’s end trying to figure the way out of the woods you had gotten lost in.

Kalim’s smile dropped, his eyes widening as his hand flew instinctively to his chest in surprise, his arm a shield in case your words turned to daggers. For a brief second, a crestfallen expression flickered across his face, eyes unfocused and eyebrows furrowing. Just as quickly, though, he replaced it with a smile, one more hollow than before. His hand then moved to rub the back of his neck.

“I overdid it again, didn’t I?”

It’s one of the few times you’ll see Kalim embarrassed and thrown off-kilter. He laughs, but it’s hollow and uncomfortable and you immediately feel bad for being the reason he’s like this. But Kalim is an expert at rebounding, and he’s honest to boot. So he takes a deep breath and proclaims that ok, maybe he messed up the fake dating part, but if you were happy with the way things were going, why not continue where you left off…?

It’s a little strange, at first. Kalim has a little difficulty remembering that to you, you just started dating but to him, it’s been about a month. But his boundless energy swept you away in the first place, and it’ll sweep you away again if you let it. Just…maybe tell him to ease up on the gifts. You’re running out of space for everything he’s given you.

Vil

You’re going to need a very good explanation to even get him to consider this.

See, if you were anywhere but NRC, Vil would assume you were using him for fame or something. It’s not a reflection on you, it’s just that he has eyes on him all the time when he’s in public so naturally you would get some exposure. Honestly, for that reason alone he may reject your proposition, as it’s not worth any of the pain you’d go through just to have a little fun for whatever you need a fake boyfriend for.

But you are at NRC, so things are a little different. Not entirely, as he is still very busy at school and wouldn’t have time to keep the charade up for long. BUT. If you have a specific event and he deems it worthy of his attention, then…fine. He’ll be your date…if you pass his training.

(So maybe this is less 'fake dating’ and more 'you’ve made a fatal mistake asking Vil to be your date to the NRC version of the homecoming dance for revenge,’ but it gets the job done.)

No matter what you already know or have prepared, Vil is taking the reins on this project and he will NOT accept anything less than perfection. It may have been difficult to get him to agree to this, but once he’s part of the plan he is in it to win it. Do you already have an outfit? Too bad if he doesn’t like it, the two of you are an item, you will look the part and it will not look like that. Do you need to know how to dance? Well, lucky you, you’ve got yourself a personal trainer who is extremely adept at all types of dances. Vil doesn’t cut corners on anything, and to top it off he is an actor. You are going to look like the perfect couple whether you like it or not.

The first few weeks of preparations put more strain on your relationship than anything. Vil is renowned for being a vicious teacher, and you were already simply looking for an easy way out of your problem. The two of you are at each other’s throats, practically snarling at each other each time you pull each other in to practice a dance again.

Eventually it mellows down, of course, and the tense frustration simmering between you two is erased as you focus on a joint goal. Maybe you wouldn’t be taking an easy way out of your problem, but you’d have a fake boyfriend at the end of the day, which is really what you wanted. Besides, you’re starting to pick up on Vil’s sense of humor, the dry and sarcastic quips he makes while you guys are chatting through your last runthrough of the evening. If you’re trying to avoid or get back at a certain person through this plot, he’s immediately invested and on your side, meeting every frustrated sigh of yours with a comment.

Vil would be lying if he said he wasn’t sensing the changes in the atmosphere between the two of you. You’ve been spending more and more time together, so of course you’ve grown closer, but he’s finding you endlessly endearing. He rather likes how hard you’ve been working to meet his standards, and though petty drama is beneath him, he finds it rather amusing how far you’d go to purposely spite someone. Vil is rather glad he took you up on your ridiculous offer; you never fail to surpass his expectations, and he’s finding out that he rather enjoys that about you.

The day of your event rolls around, and a part of you is nervous. You realize you have no idea how you’re going to deal with the fallout - people will surely wonder why you dropped the Vil Schoenheit, how you landed him in the first place, and all of a sudden you’re certain you forgot everything you spent so much time learning. This isn’t the first time Vil’s dealt with a rookie that has a bad case of stage fright, though. However, this might be the first time he’s purposely making it worse.

“By the way,” Vil starts moments before he opens the door to lead you into the room where everybody else is already mingling. “You don’t mind if I give a few last-minute notes, do you?”

Immediately you tense, flinching aggressively as if trying to retreat into a shell. Vil, stoic as always, watches you sputter with an expertly-concealed smirk. His perfectly painted lips barely quirk up at the corners, but if you were less preoccupied, he knows you would’ve spotted it anyway.

“Of course you don’t,” he decides for you, ignoring your fragmented protests. “We are prepared to give them the most dazzling display they’ve seen yet, but it’s missing a certain authenticity. Why settle for mere costume jewelry when we can offer them something real.”

“Authenticity…” You murmur, your eyes searching his. Something almost mischievous sparks within them, and a few moments later everything finally clicks. “Wait, are you really asking me out?”

“Does it surprise you? I can’t imagine it’d be much different than what we’ve already been doing.”

“…There will probably be less dancing.”

“Hm. What a shame. I suppose we’ll have to make tonight count, then.” With that, Vil opened the doors, allowing all eyes to almost immediately fall on you. Your face grew warm and you took a side-step closer to Vil, hoping to gain a fraction of the confidence he radiated.

Idia

You are trying to kill him, aren’t you? He already said he was sorry he got the rare character you were excited for and you didn’t a thousand times, there’s no need to resort to murder!!

I don’t think Idia has it in him to do this irl. If you’re in a chat room and some people are being creeps, he can step in. But that’s kind of a one time thing.

However…he will agree to be your emergency contact.

In a car and you don’t feel safe? Talk to him the whole way and put him on speaker. Need someone to send you a barrage of texts so it looks like someone has been begging for your attention? He’s your man. After a short while, he’ll even send lazy pictures of half his face so you have something to show others like 'see? see?? I told you I have a boyfriend.’

Here’s the thing that Idia won’t tell you: He’ll pick up your calls at any time, as soon as he gets them. He’ll respond to you as quickly as he can just to hear back from you even faster. He’s not so good at letting people know how he feels or even knowing himself how he feels, and the thought of you knowing how much he values you leaves him feeling kind of itchy, but he’s happy to help you if you’re in need. Honestly, the thought soothes some of the complicated feelings he’s opened himself into. Maybe the cute selfies and messages you send are part of an act, but you genuinely trust him to be your fake boyfriend. It’s an honor all its own, if you think about it.

Except he CAN’T think about it because the more he realizes what sort of shoujo manga hijinks he agreed to and he crawls under his covers to process it.

Idia checked his phone while the next level loads, shoulders slumping once he saw it was all game notifications and nothing from you. He thought about sending you another message, especially since some of your last messages mentioned someone giving you a bad vibe and wanting to leave, but what if he just ruined your socialization by asking about you?

Maybe you didn’t need a fake boyfriend anymore because you had found a real one.

Idia turned his volume up again in case you messaged, and started his game.

Sometimes Idia talks himself into a bad mood, one that ruins his vibe for forever both because he feels worthless and then feels more worthless for thinking about you in such a bad light. You can even notice it over text in the slightly longer response time and the suddenly accurate punctuation.

He won’t do much about his feelings, even as they continue to grow. He’s already fighting for his life out here, trying to figure out the brand new environment he threw himself into. You’ll have to take the next step - but don’t worry about him rejecting you. You seem to have a knack for roping him into your crazy ideas already.

Malleus

His first thought is oh, dear. I’ve made a grave mistake somewhere.

Similar to Azul, he’ll start to think that perhaps this is a trial period, or a courting ritual from where you’re from. Those are the only terms he’ll understand it under. Everything else confuses him - why act exactly like you’re dating and not date for real and have the benefits forever?

Still, once he wraps his head around it, he goes all in. If you want to convince people he’s your boyfriend, he is going to convince people. Malleus before had a habit of toeing the line, occasionally acting a bit intimately that might suggest he had feelings for you. Now he’s over-the-top romantic, taking advice from every piece of courting and dating rituals and advice he’s ever perceived. (Some of it goes better than others, and yes, Lilia’s advice is 50/50)

The bad news is, since he is still Malleus, people are hardly around to see the show you’re putting on. The good news is this plan has worked wonders if you were trying to get some creep off your back.

“So, where else do you need to go today?”

The other people on the sidewalk gave you a much wider berth than normal, not wanting to approach the formidable Malleus Draconia. It would have been funny, how they avoided the man who was nothing but sweet on you, if it wasn’t sort of sad. You could see why Malleus felt so isolated all the time - you were feeling crestfallen after a few hours a day of this obvious avoidance.

“Actually, I only need to head home. Grim’s waiting on me to make dinner,” You answered, shrugging your bag higher on your shoulder. “Thanks for walking with-”

“I’ll be happy to accompany you,” He interrupted before you could urge him to part ways with you. Furrowing your eyebrows, you nodded.

“Okay…if you insist.”

If you let him know it’s about time to start winding down the act, Malleus…won’t listen. He’ll never overstep to make you uncomfortable, but having such singular attention from you for so long was kind of a dream come true. Plus, Malleus has a sinking feeling that your withdrawal won’t stop once the two of you return to being friends as you were.

If you don’t make a move, he will. The two of you will be walking at night like you used to, and it’ll be one of the most romantic things you could think of in such short notice. Please, please accept him - he isn’t sure he can lose you now, not when he’s already in this deep.

What would it be like being friends with them? Come and find out! I offer my thoughts on what they would be like so I'm sorry if some of the characters are a little Ooc. Some characters I don't know as well but I'll certainly try! More dorms coming soon!

Riddle:

sorry but to be his best friend you have to know and follow a lot of rules

maybe not all of them but most of them

he will totally help you learn them tho

and he's more patient with you

chances of you getting collared are really low

if you intentionally broke a rule he'd be more disappointed than angry

but you would also get more freedom when it comes to the rules

he might let you eat some of his tarts

some of the rules state that you have to take care of yourself

he totally didn't make those himself

and also he's the best study partner

he will absolutely help you if you're struggling in class

doesn't matter what type of learner you are he will adapt

but also: hedgehogs

riddle friend pass to spend more times with the hedgehogs

on a more serious note, please support him

he needs support before going home for breaks

I feel like with some help and support from friends he can learn not to be as strict for all the rules

but if you ever need to talk or need anything he will be there

you immediately become one of his priorities

Trey:

the mom friend

he's gonna check in on you to make sure you're taking care of yourself

and if you're not eating or something he's gonna step in real quick

but in such a nice way like he'll just make you some food

and he'll bake you treats too!

if you help him bake then even better

he's also super understanding and supportive so if you're ever upset or nervous he's one of the best people you can go to

he would run all the way to Diasomnia and challenge Malleus himself if that's what it would take

it may take a bit for him to actually learn things but just be patient and he will greatly appreciate it

he'd be really happy if you support him in becoming an honor student

His cheeks flushed, were you really trying to fluster him? Good cuz it's working, and he hates it

He's pretty aware of the challenge since he sees Cater scrolling through some once in awhile, and it makes his head spin

It was pretty cute watching him go through the 5 stages of grief just from your question alone

though you'd never say that, you'd rather not get collared right now hehe

If it was anyone else he would have collared them immediately for making such ridiculous requests but...If it was you, he supposed he could be a bit lenient, but- just this once okay!

He was a bit suspicious when you wouldn’t allow him inside Ramshackle for your typical daily baking session. He had missed you all day, but he was intrigued when you stated that you would be finished in a little bit and that the surprise you were making for him would be given to him at Heartslabyul.

What was a bit more surprising was when he found out that his dorm members were in on this as well. They were making grand preparations from what he could see, but he didn’t really get too much of a good look because Riddle led him away.

Eventually, he was allowed back inside the dorm, and you and Grim were there as well. There was a small cake in the kitchen, and all of the Heartslabyul members vacated the dorm and went to the labyrinth so as to give you some private time. Ace and Deuce took Grim, don’t worry.

“This is quite strange. I’m usually the one baking sweets,” He said with a smile.

The nickname made him blush, but he quickly shook it off as you cut him a slice of the cake you made. It looked like it was perfectly baked through, the smell was pleasant, and the frosting seemed lovely, so he took a bite.

He didn’t expect to bite on something hard, but he looked at you and you hadn’t seemed to notice anything yet. So, he quickly spit the item out onto the plate, only to notice that it was a ring. Oh, you sneaky little thing… you planned this, didn’t you?

You noticed that he went silent, and you looked over to see that he discovered the little surprise that you had set up. Well, it looked like it was go-time, so you got on one knee and looked up at him with nothing but love in your eyes. You took a deep breath before speaking.

“Trey Clover, you have been by my side since I was magically teleported to Twisted Wonderland. You have been with me through thick and thin, and now I ask you this very important question: Will You Marry Me?”

Well, this was quite a shock to the Vice Housewarden. He had dreamt of this moment ever since you agreed to be his girlfriend. He was a family man at heart, after all. He just thought that this moment would have happened after you both had graduated, and that he would be the one proposing to you.

Oh, that doesn’t matter, as he found himself nodding. You took his hand and slipped the ring onto his ring finger, and he took a moment to admire it. It was a simple steel band, but it held so much value.

From that point on, you both referred to each other as your husband/wife. You used the two interchangeably for him, because he doesn’t mind. Either term makes him blush, but it gets worse when he calls you his wife. It just seems so surreal.

Don’t even get me started on when you referred to the First Years as your children. There was one time where Deuce got hurt because he was in a fight, and as you were tending to the bruise, Trey gave him a stern talking-to.

Trey

• He's clean.

Riddle

• He's clean, too. Despite the anger issues, he's a good boy.

Cater

• Clean, too.

Ace

• He's also clean.

• He would help a friend to hide a body, tho.

Deuce

• He hasn't killed anyone, but he might have come pretty close to it during his delinquent days.

• Just. Think about it. A regular fight that went a little too far. A guy from a rival gang's head hitting the pavement a little too hard.

• I don't think Deuce could cope with having blood on his hands, tho. So, despite the chances of shit going wrong, I think his body count is 0.

Jack

• Another good boy.

Ruggie

• 50/50. Life in the slums was rough. We will never know.

• If he ever killed someone, it was 100% self defense, tho.

Leona

• Okay, hear me out. That unique magic of his? That's some scary shit.

• What if he discovered it in a really, really bad way? We don't know shit.

• We also don't know shit about that scar on his eye. If Kalim, without being royalty, has to deal with constant kidnapping and murder attempts, the second prince of the Sunset Savanna...

• Honorable mention to the stampede he and Ruggie created. He could've killed someone.

Azul

• He, killing someone? That generous soul could never.

• He's not getting his hands dirty.

• That's why he has Jade and Floyd.

Floyd

• Funny enough, I don't think it would be intentional. Just... Accidentally taking a squeezing too far.

• Even if we ignore the hints about Jade cannibalizing his other siblings as a baby... C'mon guys. C'MON.

• I'm 80% sure he has killed at least one person (and his memory probably suppressed it).

• It was probably an accident, tho. Pushing one kidnapper from a high place, a panicked outburst of magic...

• And, even if he was unable to intentionally kill to save himself... He 100% would kill for Jamil.

Epel

• No.

• He *wishes* we saw him like that, tho.

Rook

• Yes.

Vil

• He's clean.

• He 100% would've killed Neige if he hadn't been stopped.

• That was just blot poisoning, tho. Usually he would just daydream about it.

• He would say "yes", blaming himself for Ortho's death.

• Me, his parents, Ortho, Ortho 2.0 and his online bestie would say that's bullshit, tho.

Ortho

• He hasn't killed anyone (yet) only because everyone around him baby sits him. And, well, divine intervention too, I guess.

• But he will. Some day. Is just a matter of time.

• Fr, slandering Idia in front of this kid is like playing Russian roulette.

Sebek & Silver

• I'm putting them together because they're in a similar situation.

• They're good kids with big hearts, but they're training to be Malleus guards.

• The situation with Malleus is extremely different from Leona or Kalim. But he's still royalty.

• So, if they have to, they will kill to protect Malleus. Or a loved one.

• It would fuck them up badly, tho :)

Lilia

• He was a war general. He probably can't remember all the faces of the people he has killed.

• Still, I don't agree with the "daddy war crimes" headcanon.

• After experiencing all that violence, he is more self conscious about the value of a life.

• But he would 100% kill for his loved ones.

Malleus

• The concept of an entity stuck with the emotional maturity of a child, and then a teenager for CENTURIES, with inmensurable magic power, is terrifying. Add to that the lack of constant parental figures? Is a recipe for disaster.

• So, yeah, he has probably accidentally killed a few while throwing a tantrum. Multiple times. Freezing the castle, floating the land, hitting someone with lightning...

• Also, I think he would intentionally kill someone if they fucked with Malleus loved ones. Or at least curse them.

30 day twst challenge: day 10

favorite dorm?

for one, octavinelle. let me love the silly evil mafia trio that azul, jade and floyd are /lh but i do hold this kind of respect that azul is running a whole business that is mostro lounge on top of keeping up with his studies... and i actually enjoy reading vignettes like ruggie's ceremonial robes one and jack's labwear one where they work at mostro lounge, albeit for two different reasons.

i also like the trio's dynamic in general. jade and floyd do indeed claim on the surface that they could and would leave azul at the drop of a hat if they're ever bored with him (and it's like the whole boss-and-employee dynamic they share is almost like a game to the tweels, as very opposed to, say, the mess that is kalim and jamil's relationship).

and while that statement itself may be true, i believe they are actually very close in that jade and floyd wouldn't leave azul. or, there's no way they could be bored with azul; such a statement is true but is "fated" to be merely hypothetical. i think the fact that the three stick together despite that prospect that jade and floyd could very much leave azul if they wanted to, in my opinion, speaks to the actual unspoken closeness of their relationship.

i'd say a tie is also heartslabyul as well. i do enjoy the sort of inherently whimsical nature of the dorm itself, along with the poppy dorm uniforms everyone wears.

and of course, ace and deuce, who are also part of heartslabyul, are two of yuu's besties in the game. their dynamic is positively chaotic and they're very silly. but they are also serious when it comes down to it, like how ace really handed it to riddle in book 1. but also i grew to like riddle in book 1 onwards; he's so studious and also very strict but also quite innocent?? if that's the word?? at times as well... and he shows care (even if it's with an iron fist) toward his card soldiers, hehe. and, trey and cater are also kinda like two peas in a pod. despite cater being a closed off person, trey seems to know sort of the "deeper side" to him that is implied in cater's labwear, ceremonial robes, and halloween vignettes.

i don't know how to describe it well, but i feel they kind of strike this really nice balance of genuine silliness or a sense of friendliness between the dorm members and housewarden (after book 1) and the "oh shit-" chaos that is also somehow kind of silly at the same time.

with all that said though, i fully believe every dorm has its charm; i could probably write a mini essay on what i like about each dorm, but i think this post is plenty long enough lmao ☁️

Ace loves being sarcastic with you. Wether it’s to each other or someone getting on either of your nerves, it always makes him laugh when he hears your quick remarks

Your jokes are always funny to him. Ace is very quick to understand jokes so they always land with him. However, your flirting jokes are usually hit or miss but it always ends with his face matching the red makeup on his face

Ace is scarily good at lying, so much so that he can tell if someone is a good liar or not just by looking at them and oh boy does he tease you for being a bad liar. He usually has to lie him and you out if certain situations but nothing can get past Riddle

Ace was probably introduced to your trauma via the overblots. Ever since then he’s been careful to lead you out of certain overblots of he can help it, but even he knows he can’t prevent your reactions

Ace doesn’t know much about your magic, all he knows is that you don’t like it and often won’t use it. He doesn’t need to understand if you don’t like it and will never force you to use it, even if he really wanted to see it

It’s very obvious that Ace really loves you, even if you are a bit weird. But, to Ace, that’s just a part of your charm, another reason to love you

Deuce is absolutely smitten by his boyfriend. He would literally do anything to prove his love for you though he really doesn’t need to

Deuce sometimes doesn’t understand your sarcasm, but when he does, it’s chaotic. Like, you could be talking to him and make a sarcastic remark and he wouldn’t get it, but if you’re sarcastically insulting one, he joins in with his own quip which are scarily accurate

Deuce is usually a hit or miss with your jokes. Sometimes he gets them and laughs with you or he’s asking for an explanation…that includes your flirtation jokes

You’re both bad liars. That’s it. He can’t lie and you’re bad at it

Deuce was also introduced to your trauma from the overblots. He was more focused on you the first time it happened and worries about every single battle you’re in. He gets even more worried when he isn’t there with you

Deuce man be dense but he knows how you feel about your magic. He never forces you to use it and will never tolerate anyone trying to force you to use your magic

Deuce may have a hard time showing it properly, but he truly does love you and all of your charms

He actually loves how sarcastic you can be and while he himself may not join you in your remarks, he still loves them he thinks they’re funny

Jack is a fan of your jokes, even the not funny ones. Though he likes them, he doesn’t get your flirtatious jokes and your explanation can only make him more embarrassed for not getting it initially

Jack actually doesn’t know how to feel on the fact that you’re a bad liar. Like, he’s happy that you can’t lie to begin with but you are not great to rely on when you need to get out of a situation

Jack isn’t the best at handling trauma but he tries his best. He knows he can’t prevent attacks, especially during overblot incidents, but he tries his best. Hugs, kisses, soft whispers of affection and reassurance, anything he can to help afterwards

Jack never makes you use your magic when you don’t want you. He’s fairly confident in his magical skills so he has no problem in protecting or helping you

Mister tsundere wolf man here loves his boyfriend with everything his heart could ever give, even if it doesn’t seem like it sometimes

Epel is an absolute sucker for his boyfriend and it’s so obvious how deeply he cares for his boyfriend

He’s glad he gets to lay down and relax with you without having to worry about keeping up his Pomefiore image. It’s a nice breather

Sarcasm duo. Epel loves being sarcastic and so do you so you’re always just so passive-aggressive with someone who even looks at you wrong. It’s honestly hilarious

Epel isn’t very much of a jokester himself but he loves listening to your jokes. It only encourages you more when you hear his cute snort laughs along with the small blush on his cheek from laughing too hard. His laugh is heavenly

Epel has made it a point to not rely on you when it comes to Vil. You can’t lie to save yourself and Rook is always as observant as ever so there’d be no point

Epel, although he doesn’t know how to properly deal with trauma, tries his best. He keeps you close to him, especially during overblot fights, and always has a cup of apple juice with your name on it in his dorm

As much as Epel wants to see your cool and destructive magic, he doesn’t want to make you uncomfortable. He’ll settle for just hearing about it from you than actually seeing you do it

Again, Epel is an absolute sucker for his boyfriend. He just feels so loose and calm around you, he can’t help it!

Sebek has a very confusing way of showing how he loves his boyfriend. He’s just as loud and blunt as ever but, look close enough, and there’s a softness to his normally loud voice

Sebek isn’t very chill with you being chill. He tends to compare your chillness with Silver but he can’t deny the mass amounts of work you accomplish

Poor boy doesn’t understand sarcasm. Please be direct when talking to him because when he insults anyone, he goes for the throat

Sebek also doesn’t understand your jokes either. Growing up very sheltered and literally only viewing the world through Malleus, he doesn’t understand a lot of things and that includes your jokes, so good luck making him laugh

Sebek can easily tell when you’re lying because you’re bad at it. He does remind you about it often, but never in a malicious way of course not! He loves you too much to hurt your feelings

Sebek didn’t know you had trauma well until he saw you during an overblot battle. You looked disoriented and your skills were slowly getting sloppier. At that point, your safety was his top priority

Sebek would actually be very understanding of the fact of how dangerous your magic truly is and would never dare force you to use your magic for any reason

The unusual softness to Sebek whenever it comes to his boyfriend can be jarring to others but, to you, it shows how much he loves you
