Oh I love the word guessing game! lfdjlgj (and that's a really good one too!)

So I found one fic with the word 'leave' in that context! (but it turns out that I have used the word 'leave' in different meanings a lot of times).

Pieces of torn clothes hanging like leaves on naked trees. Snow stained red, fingers clutched around long sleeves. Kisses on closed eyelids and breaths filled with empty promises. “It’ll all be alright, okay? You guys will be okay.” Abram's voice was soft and smooth, his lips feeling like butterflies on Andrew's cheeks, kissing away his tears. It was always ‘all of you’ or ‘you guys’ and never ‘we’. Andrew had thought that he was done with crying long time ago, that he didn't have anymore tears to shed. He supposed that he had been wrong.

We were paired together for the Marvel Rare Pair Big Bang and I completely forgot to post the art after... so at this point it's just fan art for this incredible story!! Fandom Events in 2023

At the start of the year the Avocados took part in a round robin challenge for Sticking It To The Man, in which 6 of us wrote a fic together! I would love to do this again.

The @daredevilexchange held a prompt fest in February, in which I posted 3 fics/art! One of these also started a collab with @udekai for our BADminton series!

In March the Avocados had our Secret Satan exchange in which I wrote Let me spin myself into yarn for @feenyxblue!

Through the year I wrote a few shorter prompted things - from our no prompt left behind challenge on the server, and also from Tumblr requests!

In October we had the @daredevilexchange where I wrote 2 fics, The City That Never (Always) Sleeps, and You know it breaks my heart in half, in half.

Upcoming Plans

I've just started the @killacharacterbingo, 4 fics in, and I hope to finish that next year! I've got a few longterm wips I want to bring back out and actually get finished, and not burnout with constant event pressures.

Writing Reflection

This year has felt quieter. I wrote about half what I did last year, and nothing can compare to 2021. It's been busy IRL, and I've felt like I've been in and out of burnout, but we're getting there!

Having a community online has been a lifesend, and even if I haven't been posting it, we've had plenty of brainrot opportunities, which I'm glad for! I also started to dabble in original fic, and that's slow going, but I'm also writing a bit more through starting DnD, and having text-based rp sessions in between, which are amazing!

Community is everything, and I'm so glad to have met everyone I did, you all hold a special place in my heart. Where else are you going to be able to cry about Matt and Foggy at 2 in the morning and there be someone to listen?

Writing Reflection

Finding JBB was a revelation, and very much accounted for our absolute mania in July. We now have a delightful collection of 700+ bingo prompts spread across too many boards to remember, and it's giving us so much motivation! We've started foraying into works written more for us, though, so we 100% expect less engagement over the next twleve months... But that's okay, because writing them has been an absolute delight.

The goal of this year is to finish the current four WIPS mentioned above! And hoooooopefully hit 500,000 words again... Though there's also a novel we should start. Oops.

There's something important to be said, though. The most important thing, for us, that came out of this year wasn't the words. It was the very specific, 'pretty prevelant' commenter that found Multitudes a third of the way through after looking for something different. This... Amazing, beautiful person, making great statements of philosophy and shrewd insights through a computer screen at three am (leading us to wonder "Are you okay or do you need therapy-"). This person who Lia adorably demanded become our friend, and subsequently, we fell head over heels in love with. What's 153 miles (or ~207, given I'm not a crow) when you find the person - or rather, people - you've been looking for? @unfortunatebeetleandfriends Our Bug, our beloved... We can't wait to see you again. We will love you as long as we live. Lieutenant, Yoshitsune - y'all were unexpected, but just as much as a goddamn blessing, and we'll see you in 16 days and 22 hours. All of our love, forever and always, infinitely and endlessly. Thank you for deciding to backscroll.

Which of your fanfics took you the longest until you were happy with it (relative to the length of the fic)? As in, which fic did you go over the most, until you decided it was ready to be posted?

This was a hard question to answer, to be honest, considering how much time I take going over anything that i write but I was able to settle on two.

I think the fic that I went over the most before I finally decided that it was good to go is either my 'teach me how to be a fox' fic along with 'misfortune of the fortunate'.

the first one was actually a fic that I picked over from a friend after they dropped it. i know the plans they had for it, since we had planned the fic together in the first place, but it's still somewhat hard to be satisfied with the result. (I've rewritten it for four times already, and will hopefully start posting the rewrites soon)

the second one is a fic that i had to stop working on for a while since it just didn't feel 'in character' no matter how much i dwelled on it.
