He Tian's Arc

Ok, so this will be a very rambly post, but bare with me.

As we know Ht is a very complex character, being mainly affected by his childhood and the people/situations that hurt him. First and foremost, his family.

Starting with the loss of his mother HT starts having that crippling fear of his of losing people, slowly becoming fiercely loyal to those he loves. Then we get to his father, although we dont have much info on him as of yet, we do know Ht was very aware of how dangerous his father was, to the point of even asking his brother if (if he did something wrong) his father would kill him. With this HT very obviously grew up with a mentality of fighting to survive, and learning to live in the "darkness" of his family.

Then, what I believe has shaped him the most, his Brother.

He cheng has lived with their father and family business for a lot longer, and has learned what HT would come to learn a lot earlier, and (maybe accidentally) taught it to his little brother. HC shows HT that he's "on his own", if he wants something he HAS to fight for it, he can not be weak because that will make him useless (in the sense of not being able to do what he wants to do, like saving people)

Ht then understands that his family is different, they have a "darkness" that he not only hates, but is terrified of.

He hates his father, and he hates what his brother is/has become. He does not want to be part of his family's business, the violence, the killing and the cruelty of their "jobs" repels him. I think he hates it so much because he's scared to have that "darkness" inside himself as well, scared that its inevitably in his blood already. Even literally stating to MGS that he is scared of the dark. So he pushes and does his best to stay away (hating his brother, living alone, not talking to his father) he only ever "uses" his family when it's to take something from them instead of give (like money).

And then, here comes Mo guan shan.

And he's the exact opposite of everything his family (and by extension he himself) is. Mo guan shan does not lie, or scheme, and above all he does not see or fear that darkness inside Ht. We've seen that he and JY were friends before all this, and that at the very least they were close, but Jy did not completely understand Ht, he was a friend but as we've seen with the countless panels of HT standing alone in a landscape, he still felt alone. He felt like that darkness kept him apart from other people, and so when MGS came along he just couldn't help but fall for him.

So Ht becomes extremely protective over little Mo. And thanks to the idea of being the Strongest, the one who protects and is not protected ("weakling") Ht develops a very self sacrificing mentality. It simply does not matter to him if he gets hurt or in danger, because he is strong and he has that darkness in him, all that matters is that those he love are unharmed, safe and happy.

The problem is, Mo guan shan has a "stalker". She li considers him his, and prefers to break MGS than have someone else "take" him. Which means HT ends up putting himself in situations a lot worse than normally (well, at least outside his family business) not only to take the hits in MGS's place, but also to attack those who hurt him.

Still, the people he loves keep getting hurt, not only Mo but also Jian Yi. The other person who Ht is also willing to sacrifice himself to save. It starts to make HT desperate, and it slowly pushes him further down that "dark" path he feared so much.

And that pushes him towards his family, his brother and the violent measures they take. His brother tries to warn him (not that greatly I might add) and at the very least veers him away from the true rock bottom (killing someone).

And he does say he doesn't care about what people think of him, and I do think that's mostly true at this point, but he does care about what MGS thinks. Because Mo doesn't fear him, and he doesn't want that to change.

We've seen several times HT asking for Mo's opinions and thought on him. I think that fear of scaring off MGS specially shows when after holding SL's neck in the stairs Ht asks this.

Still decides to resort to that side of him, to eliminate SL, even if he has to sacrifice his own existence without that darkness and family. He'd do anything for those he loves.

Which makes for a whole new problem. That sacrifice is a little too much, even for him, he's terrified of it, (maybe horrified is a better word for it). He loves his friends too much, and hates those who hurt them just as much. It makes it too easy for him to cross the line, to the point someone has to be there just to stop him, to hold him back. And look at that,

He flinches.

He flinches from what he did, and the person talking.

In the next panel we see his face at it, engulfed in darkness. And I think that one of the things he also fears is knowing MGS saw him, I think here he is scared to see Mo's reaction. So he looks back

And Mo guan shan isn't scared Of him, but For him. MGS still stands By him and Hugs him, and HT doesn't even care about his hand, or anything else he just wants to hug Mo back.

Because yes, He tian has slowly descended on a cruel and violent path that he feared, (and still fears) but Mo guan shan still wants to stay by his side. Even with He tian literally red handed with blood, Mo wants to share his troubles with HT (symbolized by him wearing the jacket Ht gave him when telling him not to shoulder everything on his own) and take on part of Ht's troubles as well.

He wants to accompany and stay by his side. Mo guan shan still doesn't fear He tian. And I think that's all Ht wants.

TLDR:: Tianshan has slowly driven HT to a darker and more violent path, but their relationship shows just how deep their connection is, and how much they've come to rely and develop alongside one another.

These are my own headcanons for how I think Aether and Lumines personalities are like.

Lumine

Okay starting off with my personal favourite character 🫶🫶 she’s a BITCH

Not the kind of bitch like, constantly insulting and talking shit about someone bitch. The more witty and condescending bitch

Though she would talk shit about you to your face if she was in a particularly bad mood

Morally grey, though a darker shade of grey

The kind of person you don’t see laughing often apart from at other people’s misery (Aether falling down the stairs)

Judgmental, but fair in her judgment. Most of the time anyway. Sometimes she’s petty af

She’s kind of like an extroverted introvert if that makes sense? She’s completely socially confident and can talk to people if she wants to - she just doesn’t want to

Incredibly assertive and confident in herself in general and isn’t afraid to say whatever she’s thinking, no matter how harsh it may come across

Brutally honest

She’s cold and calculating. Doesn’t smile much aside from when it’s just her and her brother

Deffo has a resting bitch face

She gets irritated pretty quickly, but is also quick to calm down after

Very much a forgive but never forget person

Also very much a revenge person

She won’t stay mad at something for too long unless it’s a huge thing. If it is then 😬

One of the worst people to piss off. If she doesn’t like you, you’ll know. It won’t be pretty. If it’s that big of a thing she would most likely go out of her way to make their life a living hell until she gets bored or Aether steps in

Has a little bit of a God complex I’m not gonna lie

In the sense that she sees herself and her brother as a lot more powerful and therefore - important than the average person

Which they are far more powerful dont get me wrong, but it’s led Lumine to the mindset where she sees those below her as weakish

I’ll get more into this in a future post. It links up to quite a few other headcanons I have

Very very brave though. And not a complete asshole, she will go out of her way to help people sometimes

If she sees someone being attacked by hilichurls she will jump in to fight, no questions asked. She may be a little huffy about it if she’s trying to go somewhere but still

It would take a long long time to become friends with her aside from if shes particularly interested in someone, but when she is genuinely someone’s friend she’s incredibly loyal and protective of that person

She’s interested in people who are strong willed and know exactly what they want and aren’t afraid to go for it

Also she admires those who are logical, don’t freak out over the littlest things and are usually calm and co-ordinated

If they know how to fight that’s also a plus

She doesn’t like making friends often as she and Aether never stay in once place. They travel from world to world and she feels horrible leaving them

DTF. She likes pleasure and is quite a sexual person. If she finds someone attractive and they both want it then she will take it

She’s a badass and girlbossing her way through life fr I love her so much

With Aether -

She’s a much different person around her brother than she is with anyone else

First, she’s a lot more active and playful with him. Out with other people she’s usually quiet

Not completely silent at all, she certainly lets her presence be know, but she prefers to sit back and listen

Oh she’s fantastic at reading people that’s something I forgot to mention

Anyway, with Aether she seems a lot more happier and outgoing

Smiles an awful lot more, though still has her resting bitch face

Aether likes to make fun of her for it

They both like to make fun of each other a lot. Nothing serious or mean or anything. Just little things

Okay they are twins so occasionally mean

She trusts him entirely and it’s evident with the way she acts with him, she’s protective. Not Aether level protective but still quite protective

Trusts him to the point which he knows every single weakness of hers. Every struggle she faces, every thought she has

No one else would ever come close to getting her to reveal any of her weaknesses. Including her friends

She’s properly herself around Aether. Not just cold and confident as she is around anyone else

She’s still confident, but she’s very warm around him

Drags him around everywhere she goes. The two are attached one the hip. It’s like they are one whole body sometimes

Teases him ALL THE TIME

Though it’s a ‘I can make fun of my brother but if anyone else does it they will pay’ kinda thing

Same goes for Aeth

As much as she loves him, the two get on each others nerves

While not usually petty around others, Lumine is PETTY around Aether

Aether makes an off handed comment about Lumines hair one time and completely forgets about it afterwards? Okay! Lumine does his braid rough and too tight on on uncomfortable angle for a month. Making offhanded comments about it every day that sound suspiciously like what he said to her three weeks ago

She forgives Aether a lot faster than she does with anyone else though

Now Aether! He’s somewhere in my top three I don’t know if he’s second or third but probably second??? Idk

Huge golden retriever energy

Usually a pretty polite guy. Opens doors for people, says thank you and that

Pretty much polar opposite of Lumine when it comes to people, he really really enjoys talking and social interaction with almost anyone

Introverted extrovert, loves being around people but he can’t do it 24/7 without feeling a little drained. Needs some time on his own or with just Lumine to charge up

Super social though, the kind of guy who can go up to someone and just strike up a conversation

Has definitely been invited to a wedding in the first ten minutes of meeting someone before

He just likes getting on with people in general. It’s nice talking with people and can benefit him and Lumine

People are interesting to understand and they can benefit them both by giving them food if they need it, shelter etc etc

Like Lumine - he’s socially confident

After being around people for eons he’s learned how they work, interact, how to talk with them etc etc so he’s pretty confident in that regard

He and Lumine never stay in one place for very long so there’s no good in being nervous around people

All this goes out of the window when he’s crushing on someone

The dudes a big romantic unlike Lumine. He likes romance, she likes pleasure

It’s not really often but when he likes someone romantically he usually becomes a bit more nervous and says a few more awkward things

Laughing at unconventional times

He still knows what to say and is pretty confident, just a bit more dorky and such

Hard to piss off but when you do he gets very very snappy and sarcastic

Surprisingly he holds grudges for longer than Lumine

He’s a revenge person but nothing like Lumine. Usually it’s small revenge like saying something back or trying to embarrass the person a little bit

He’s a little bit immature at times, nothing major but just little things. Usually pretty mature in general

In public Lumine seems like the most mature out of the two when really with each other they both have the maturity levels of bloody children

Morally light grey

Can be a bit overly selfless at times

Has the tendency to overwork himself to the point of debilitating

Please he’s so tired he’s been trying to stop Lumine from annihilating someone for looking at her wrong when she accidentally set the stove on fire, give him a break

He’s a really nice and good guy in general don’t get me wrong but he doesn’t really care as much as other people think he does

I mean that in the sense that he doesn’t have a deep and meaningful connection many things when he travels to other worlds

He doesn’t care about being a hero and actively helping people it just happens - though he’s certainly not complaining

He finds it a lot easier letting go of people when he and Lumi leave to other worlds

In his eyes he’s come, made a good impression and now it’s time to go

It’s different to Lumine as he doesn’t have an emotional connection to anyone there apart from his sister so it’s easier to let go. Lumine doesn’t have as deep emotional connections with anyone aside from her brother, but she still has some form of connection to them

Like I said, she makes very few friends but when she does she gets to know them and like them more just because she spends more time with them individually rather than a lot of people as a whole like Aether does

With Lumine -

Surprisingly, Aether is actually the slightly calmer twin when it comes to their personalities with each other

Only slightly. They are both very much a chaotic duo when they are together

That’s why the had to be separated 😔 causing too much mischief

His personality with others isn’t as different as it is with Lumine aside from he likes to tell a lot more jokes and gets really sarcastic

Sometimes his jokes are to try and gross Lumine out as much as possible

One time he ate a raw egg. Absolutely no prompting at all. Lumine had gathered some food for them to eat in a world once and was starting to cook over a fire, when Aether looked her dead in the eyes and took a bite out of a raw egg

He will always say out of all the years they have been travelling together, he has never seen her with a more disgusted expression at that moment

To make it worse he ever tried to grab hold of her face and give her a kiss on the cheek straight after, leading to the both of them wrestling on the floor

Aether will say he won, Lumine will say she will. Either way Lumine now has egg trauma.

The two bounce off each other in both the worst and best ways

Like he does with Lumine, she also knows every weakness of his, struggle and thought

The two know absolutely everything about each other

He’s much more emotional around her than he is with others

Usually he limits himself to the ‘hero’ prototype people see when they think of him, he doesn’t intend to be a hero but it’s what he usually accidentally ends up being

But not with Lumine, with Lumine he’s completely honest about what he’s thinking and feeling

If he’s stressed he will tell her. If he’s upset he will tell her. If he’s mad he will tell her

He knows he doesn’t have to worry about being seen differently around her

His role with her is to try and get them both out of trouble after she gets them into it

6/10 times it backfires and they end up landing themselves in even more trouble

You can just tell they were both an absolute menace together when they were children

Even though he’s only mere milliseconds older than Lumine, he likes to take the self proclaimed role of big brother very very seriously

Fake scolding her when she gets into shit, always keeping an incredibly close eye on anyone who comes near her. Especially men

He’s really protective of her. Usually he plays it off as a joke but it has led to them having arguments before

When they argue Aether gets more sad then angry, while Lumine is more frustrated

Like usual though, they are both quick to forgive each other after

Can you make a Eddie x reader where the reader is Jason's sister and she is in love with Eddie and he is with her and she is different from her brother, she's cheerleader and she's sweet and nothing like her cheer friends and she is also interested in D&D.

Eddie and the reader start to date in secret until someone from the team sees them kissing and the next day at school in the cafeteria before the reader is there one of the cheer team goes to Eddie and tells him they knew about their secret relationship and made a bet with the reader to date him for money.

He somehow believes it and the reader sees him leave and goes after him and he tells her everything and she tries to explain but he pushes her away and breaks up with her.

They are both devastated and the D&D group believes the reader and Jason see how his sister is miserable and he goes to talk to Eddie about that the bet wasn't true so at school they avoid each other but the D&D group locks them in the janitors closet and they make up? :) if you're comfortable you can add smut or edit the imagine how you like :)

Y/n loved Thursday and Fridays more than any other day because those were the days she got to see Eddie the most while being at school.

Eddie the freak Munson as he was known to everyone was her secret boyfriend and she was so in love with him.

It was a strange mismatch if you were inclined to listen to the town gossip. Y/n was a cheerleader and the sister of Jason Carver, a straight A student and sweet as pie while Eddie was the guy who listened to metal, played Dungeons and Dragons, was in a band and was a complete rebel.

Personally, y/n thought the opinion of the town was a lot of shit because yeah she was a cheerleader but she couldn't stand how bitchy some of the team were.

Her brother Jason hated Eddie and The Hellfire club but she adored the club and Dungeons and Dragons was the reason she and Eddie began to speak in the first place.

Eddie was nothing like people thought he was like, they all assumed that he would be mean and scary but he was soft-hearted and fiercely loyal and passionate.

She loved him and weekends with him were everything to her. She knew he was sick of hiding the relationship as much as she was.

Soon they planned to tell everyone and she didn't care what her brother or anyone else thought because she loved Eddie more than anything and he loved her. That's all that mattered.

It's after cheer practice when Eddie surprises her with flowers he's picked for her. They are so beautiful and she beams.

"Eddie, that's so sweet of you. They are gorgeous". He flashes her a shy smile and she wraps her arms around him holding him close.

She kisses Eddie and he pulls her into his arms holding her close. She's completely unaware of the other cheerleaders watching them with disgusted looks on their faces.

Chrissy throws her a dark look and smiles as she watches y/n and Eddie.

That should be that, Chrissy was the queen of Hawkins and what she says goes but Ashley never liked to follow the rules and began plotting.

He should have known he didn't deserve good things.

Ashley walks up to him smiling but there's this look in her eyes that he doesn't trust one bit. He just wants to see y/n, not listen to her bitchy cheer friend.

"Wow, I can't believe y/n actually went through with it. She's such a bitch". What the fuck?

"What the hell are you talking about and dont you dare call her a bitch". She fake smiles at him and looks sympathetic.

"Me and some of the cheerleaders paid her to date you, come on freak you think a pretty girl like that would want you?. Your secret relationship is a joke".

Eddie couldn't believe what he was hearing because no way in the world would y/n do that to him.

"No, no that isn't true". She was lying but his stomach slowly started to sink.

Ashley just smirks. "Oh, it's true. she just used you Munson, sucks to be you huh?". He pushes past Ashley not wanting to hear anymore.

Y/n has just come in but not wanting to see her after Ashley's revelations he storms right past her.

His heart feels like it's been pulled from his chest and he hears y/n call after him.

"Eddie, Eddie wait, what's wrong?". She yells and he feels the pain being replaced by anger and he rounds on her.

"Ashley told me all about what you we're really up to. Dating me for money that really is a fucking low y/n".

She looks confused and tries to reach for him but he wrenches away from her.

"Eddie? Tears pool in her eyes, I would never, ever do that. Never. You know me Ed's I'm nothing like the bitchy cheerleaders. I love you so much".

He shakes his head and her face falls as he closes up completely. "I thought I knew you but it was all too good to be true, we're done y/n. Don't come to Hellfire, don't come near me. Just stay away from me".

He wrenches away from her and his heart breaks even more as he hears her sobbing and tears fall down his cheeks as he heads away from the school.

He fell for her so hard but in the end, he was nothing to her.

Jason can hear y/n crying all through the night. At first, he was pissed she even went near that freak Munson.

Now he was just pissed his sister was heartbroken and it all came down to that bitch Ashley.

His sister might have been the biggest pain in the ass and they had nothing in common but at the end of the day she was still his sister and he loved her.

If she wanted to date Munson then grudgingly he would accept that because it did seem that the freak actually loved his sister and vice versa.

With a plan in place, he gets into the school early and marches straight up to Munson who looks like shit.

His eyes are red and he's actually quiet only flipping him the bird. Yeah, that's unusual enough to warrant action.

"You're a prick you know that Munson?". Eddie scoffs and glares at him.

"I'm the prick, really? What the fuck do you even want Carver?".

"My sister didn't do any of that shit Ashley said, she loves you man. Fuck knows why but she does. Ashley is a lying bitch and now my sister is heartbroken because you believe a liar over her".

Henderson one of Eddie's little freshman sheep nods agreeing with him. "I keep telling Eddie that y/n would never do any of that shit, none of Hellfire believes she would".

With at least his words in Munson's ear, he hopes that it's enough for him to talk to his sister again and stalks off.

If Munson still believed Ashley's shit then he was an idiot.

She hasn't stopped crying since last night and avoids Eddie at school. It breaks her heart that he would ever think she was like that. That he thought so little of her.

Her plan to avoid Eddie lasts until lunch. The minute she sees Ashley laughing with the other cheerleaders she sees red.

Chrissy is the only one not joining in with the laughter and offers her a consoling smile.

Ashley meets her livid gaze and gives her a mock sad smile. "Heard about you and that freak Munson. So sad. You should be thanking me for what I did because you deserve better sweetie".

Jason is about to speak when she snaps and she's never once in her life been a violent person but she wants nothing more than to wipe that smug smile away from Ashley's face.

"Don't you ever speak about Eddie like that you don't know him. You are nothing more than a bitch who likes people to be as miserable as you are".

She storms out of the cafeteria fuming and missing Eddie more than anything. The auditorium is empty and she slips in letting the tears fall.

The door opens and she assumes it's Chrissy or Jason. It isn't. It's Eddie. She's still mad that he didn't believe her but the redness of his eyes and the pain make her heart ache for him.

Dustin and Gareth peek around the door and seeing them together they proceed to shut the door and lock it.

"Henderson for fucks sake I said I was going to talk to her". Dustin shouts back and she can't help but smile.

"I know but we all want you two to make up so get on with it. You are both being idiots. Just talk".

Eddie rolls his eyes. "Little shrimp". He softens and turns to her reaching out to stroke her cheek.

She moves away still hurt. His expression falls turning agonised.

"I'm so sorry baby, I'm so so sorry. For believing Ashley, not giving you chance to explain. It blows my mind someone so beautiful and sweet wants me that I was so quick to believe it was all just a lie".

This softens her the tiniest bit and she cups his face with her hands and presses the softest kiss to her lips.

"Stop that. You're incredible Eddie, I wish people could you the way I see you because you are my world and you are amazing and deserve good things".

He kisses her forehead. "I'm so fucking sorry, shit even your brother came to speak to me to tell me it was all lies that Ashley said".

This stuns her. Jason. Really? She feels a rush of love for her brother and smiles.

"I love you, Eddie, I love you so much". His lips meet hers and he sags in relief.

"I love you too princess, come on let's go rescue Henderson and Gareth from the tenterhooks they are no doubt on".

She giggles and they join the boys who look relieved. Ashley passes them with the other cheerleaders but one warning look from Chrissy silences them all.

Pleased y/n takes Eddie's hand and they head out to the school halls not caring who stares along the way.

She loves Eddie and he loves her and she's never letting any gossip or bitchiness get in between them again.

Which brings me to my final point in this update which doubles as a plea/request.

I am in need of TWO (possibly THREE) readers of SMB's help!!

SMB chapter 11 has taken far too long, given me way too much stress and I now harbour immense .... Dislike for it. I can no longer make a clear judgement on whether it serves a purpose for the entirety of SMB's plot/narrative and the future LMB direct sequel.

how do you walk the line of separating art from artist? bc harry has helped me with a lot but whenever I'm reminded of his, to put it lightly, less than desirable political views, i just feel a Lot of confusion and apprehension. I think the question of separating the art from the artist is as complicated as apprehensive it can be but also somehow its a question of two clear sides you either separate or dont. I personally think that you can't separate the art from the artist, and here I'm talking in general not about a specific artist, but the idea of separating the artist from their own craft doesn't hold them accountable for any sort of action bc their social existence and their reality as we perceive it is actually the art or the craft they produce. The idea of venerating an art while knowing the artist is actually just a piece of shit (tw: picasso) perpetuate the idea that as long as you are an artist or a "creative genius" you can get away with anything. Art is not neutral nor is it apolitical ( unaffiliated with any sort of socio historical and geo political context) there is an extension of the artist in their art no matter how prone they are to come off as "not political".... Like even not having a political stance or deciding to be "not political" is in itself a political statement 😂

This like my main perspective but also there is a part where when you consume the art you can subvert the meaning and own the craft of the artist. I think, if we talk about current example, I think that the loyal consumer of an artist's craft shouldn't refrain from holding their fave accountable or questioning me specially when you arpe consuming their art

hello. i took some time off but here i am haha anyways, i can see where you're coming from :) it's a valid point! even i would find it difficult to move past a previous relationship esp with someone that i truly loved despite everything that happened between us, and to imagine raising a literal child together.. oh that would be the end of me lol but in jimin and oc's case, well... there are factors we can consider to be able to understand how they made it work (including lucia the wife as well)

prior to jimin meeting lucia, he and yn hadn't been actually living or close together while jiho was growing up. yn was with her mom, and the mom was the one in full communication with jimin since they'd been in contact even before yn found out everything. technically they raised him, but apart, they stayed friends and yes they still had feelings there but jiho became their topmost priority.

jimin met lucia at a time when fifteen years had passed by, which meant that even if he did think about asking yn out again, a huge part of him knew that could potentially damage the bond they've developed as co-parents, and all he cared about was yn's mental and emotional state. she was vulnerable and was healing for a long time. and lucia, i wanted to write a drabble that's in her pov but decided not to, but i'd be honest, ofc there was a little bit of jealousy and A LOT OF curiosity, but jimin was honest with her since the beginning. he told her practically everything when they began dating, that's because he wanted to know if she'd push through if he told her, which she did apparently.

lucia's ability to feel completely aware and still be alright with yn being her husband's great love was something yn had unintentionally influenced her to. when they met, lucia figured out right then and there why jimin was in love with her, and why he cared for her, she didn't feel inferior - thanks to yn's emotional intelligence lol she did everything she could to stay in her place, as jiho's mother and that's it. it's not easy to do for anyone really, but it's a matter of choice, not by feeling but by what is right. after all, jimin became the man he had dreamed of, a husband and a father, a good one at that.

one example i can give in terms of this great love scenario is my own parents :D my late mom's my dad's great love, and i learned about that years after her death, when i started noticing how my dad couldn't stay committed in his relationships without having to remember how my mom was like when she was alive and around him. i've had stepmoms over a decade and until now, he'd talk to us and tell us how he often wished she was still there to cook his favorite dish, how the sound of her laughter filled him inside. while he stayed loyal and in love with my stepmom now, who's the longest one to be in my dad's arms lol, i can still see the way his eyes would sparkle when we're remembering my mom during conversations.

in conclusion, marrying or being in a relationship with someone who still have lingering feelings for another person, is a choice. it's not for everyone and that's okay! it's just that people love in different ways, and even loving is a choice in itself. staying in love is, i mean. lucia chose that for herself, and she didn't have anything to be regretful of.

but to honestly answer your question: it pisses me off. for a few reasons:

violet is SUCH a perfectly written match for clem that i cant see either of them with anyone else. i didnt think the writers would Ever be able to write a good love interest for clem esp after s3 but im not kidding when i say violet and her are a perfectly written match. violet is very similar to s3 clem with her trust and abandonment issues, the angry loner who cares but pretends not to to protect themselves from the grief of loss/pain of being left behind, and so they put up walls and push people away. theyre both natural leaders who never wanted that position. loyal. fiercely protective. where javi helped clem learn to trust people again in s3, clem helps violet learn to trust people again in s4. clementine can see herself in violet (the "i know where youre coming from" line), and they help each other. which leads into my second problem with the new comic romance

violet has SEVERE trust and abandonment issues (even more than the other kids who all by default pretty much have trust and abandonment issues), which is obvious even without letting her get taken by the raiders (and is only made that much worse if you do). i cant imagine what it will do to her emotionally to wake up and realize clem is GONE without even SAYING GOODBYE. thats gonna hurt her so bad regardless if you romanced her or not. like clem is their leader now and shes just...leaving?? without telling anyone?? EVEN AJ???? HER ADOPTIVE CHILD??? fuck this stupid ass comic it is SO OUT OF CHARACTER for clem for like a million reasons. like skybound/tillie are saying theyre excited to focus on clems sexuality (which :/) but like to do it theyre really damaging representation that was already THERE and GOOD.

like way to just rip away really nice wlw representation just so you dont have to worry about determinant choices. (violentine is my favorite wlw rep in media theyre just......so nice. so cute but like so natural?? they are so in love and the writing just feels like it really came from the heart like the writers really cared abt their relationship even if it WAS a little rushed but like s4 was rushed in general) every scene they have together just makes me 😳😭😭🥺💕💕💕 no matter how many times i see it

another reason it pisses me off is that like everything else about this comic feels like a cheap rip off of s4!!! like theyre just sweeping s4 under the rug (which imo is the best season) just to rehash it again but BADLY. apparently theres gonna be "evil twins" now theyre REALLY going all in on the s4 rip off

s4 was the perfect end for clementine, and the writers of the last season INTENDED for that to be her ENDING. thats where she spends the rest of her days, surrounded by her found family who love her, safe at the school. shes DONE RUNNING she literally hung up her hat like shes DONE. she NEVER wanted to be on the road shes always longed for a place to be safe with aj and she has it she would never leave.

ok but i went a little overboard with this and elaborated so much more than i needed to

Sam: Everyone hates him for being such a hardass and for what he did to Leah. And I get it, I do. But a supernatural change in your life at such a young age where nobody knows how to really help you is beyond difficult. He had to grow up like overnight, at 19 he became “pack dad” as he watched all these children around him go through what he did, but he didn’t want it for them either. And then to make matters worse, he imprinted on his girlfriend’s fuckin cousin. He loved Leah, and he still did after Emily. It was out of his control and it tore him up. It’s a shitty fuckin situation and I feel so so bad. 

Jared: Everyone thinks Jared is just such a smartass. I mean, he definitely was, it was well within his character. However, I think he has a lot more substance than that. He’s unwaveringly loyal. I think he values his relationships of all types more than anything. I just, I think this goes over a lot of peoples’ heads. He’s got a lot of love to give, I swear it. He may be a snarky boy, but he’d definitely do anything for the people he loves. I wish we got to see more of that, he is a character with a lot of substance. 

Paul: Don’t even get me started. Hothead. Hahahahaha, his only personality trait is that he has anger issues, so funny! Let’s be real here, he comes from a broken family at a young age. He doesn’t have a mother in his life and that is something that causes a lot of issues! Not to mention that being a teenager is hard in itself, your body is changing and things are weird. Now let’s take into consideration that these are no longer normal hormones, his body is basically changing overnight to let him transform into an enormous wolf that has to dedicate his life to killing vampires posing a threat to him, his friends, and family. Everyone on the reservation, even. Forks, too. He had to sacrifice his entire life to do this, and he wasn’t exactly even-tempered to start with, and it’s known this change totally ups your irritability, hell it even made Jacob angry. Let’s be real, his anger issues are something to be considered other than “oooh angry hot boi 😈” jeez 

Embry: Embry, bb boi Embry. I love his character so much. I think the whole thing about Embry is like haha Embry’s so funny and goofy but in reality the kid struggles a lot. He’s constantly fighting with his mom because he for whatever reason can’t tell her about the pack or anything. He’s grounded “until forever” and always feels like he’s disappointing his mom even though he’s really just doing his best but like in reality he’s always in trouble or “grounded indefinitely.” The transformation put a huge strain on their relationship. Now, on top of that, he knows now that one of his friends might be his half fuckin brother because he literally doesn’t even know who his father is because his mom won’t tell him. So he’s got not only daddy issues, now he’s getting some mommy issues. This kid has a lot going on and I’m sure he’s struggling more than he leads on. 

Jacob: Jacob. The sunshine. I will be talking about angel boy Jacob in New Moon. I hate that he’s only seen to be in love with Bella. I would rather see it as him being loyal, supportive, and selfless. He would’ve done anything to put a smile on her face, he was caring. Jacob would’ve done anything for his friends, it was so beautiful. He was described to be the sunshine, he was full of love. No matter how down he was, he was always there to be the shoulder to cry on, no matter how much he needed one. I love this Jacob, I just want to give him a hug and tell him that everything will be okay. 

Quil: Oh Quil, my boy Quil. I feel like everyone just thinks he’s kinda a dumbass for some reason. Like we don’t see much of him in the movies but I truly think Quil is actually super intelligent. I think he has more depth than he’s ever given credit for. Like when he told Bella that he was afraid to be next to be recruited to Sam’s “gang.” He knew he was next, he’s intuitive. I just wish more people saw Quil to be what he is, not just Jacob’s goofy friend. Well, he is Jake’s goofy friend but he’s a smart guy! I think he’s lowkey super intelligent. 

Leah: She’s known to be a bitter bitch. I can’t stand this and honestly I think she’s one of the most caring people in the series. I don’t care that she gave Bella the cold shoulder, in-fact I give her props. The love of her life left her for her cousin, now she has to share thoughts with him and the guys who give her shit for her feelings. I don’t blame her for being so displeased all the time. Like she keeps getting the shit end of the stick the entire series, it sucks. She tries to protect Jacob, but he hates her for it even though she’s right. She then has to protect Seth, because she loves him more than anything. Her father died and she had to deal with not only that but then her mother dating Bella’s fuckin father, Charlie, making Bella her damn step sister. Shit’s whack and I’m so sick of hearing people say that Leah was a bitch. 

Seth: Baby boy Seth, everyone’s favorite little ball of sunshine. I have an issue with the fact that Seth will always be portrayed to be perfectly bubbly, happy, and sweet. Sometimes, I just want to see him react to something. I feel so bad about his father passing, We only see him react minimally when it comes to Bella and the demon baby. I just would like to see an angry or frustrated side of Seth, a side that doesn’t forgive everyone for everything so quickly. I know deep down he probably struggles listening to everyone rag on his sister in the mind link. It’s probably conflicting to take orders from the man who broke your sister’s heart. I love that Seth is the nice, innocent boy but I know this kid faces inner turmoil. I just wish we got to see more of it.

-You were so happy that you managed to pry Lucifer away from his desk, you were basically skipping alongside him

-Long story short, you tripped over your own two feet and fell

-Luckily, your knees and palms were the only things that got a bit scruffy

-Well, actually your right knee looked as if someone tried removing your entire knee cap with a scalpel, skin and all but adrenaline was kicking in and you couldn’t feel much

-You’ve never seen Lucifer freeze the way he did then

-His mind just drew a blank

-You were about to shrug it off and call it a day, get up and continue your walk but daddy Lucifer can’t have that

-He has six younger brothers (and a younger sister at some point) he is pretty experienced when it comes to treating injuries

-You aren’t walking for the rest of the day, let me make this clear

-He will carry you back to the House of Lamentation no matter how much you protest

-In case it wasn’t obvious already, Lucifer gives off massive dad vibes and now he’s bandaging your leg while you’re laying down on his bed

-While the rest of the brothers watch the two of you from behind the door frame because they are all equally worried

-Get ready for the three hour lecture coming your way

-He’s pissed and amused at the same time tbh

-Like Lucifer, don’t expect you will walk home by yourself

-He will carry you, a bit embarrassed by his initial freak out but still eyeing your wound, concerned

-As soon as you get home and the other brothers help you out because he’s shit at bandaging, he just sits in his own pool of misery and guilt

-Your poor knees wouldn’t be so jacked up if you hadn’t come along with him today

-He was so determined to make it up to you, he stayed by your bedside like a loyal puppy with a wagging tail (flashback to the animal event)

-Overall, he almost went into cardiac arrest and was too panicked to realise you were fine

-You thought he was smothering and overprotective before? Good luck for the rest of the week

Levi:

-Before he turned to find you laying on the floor, curled up because life was pain and you were suffering

-But for real, he’s good at identifying serious wounds and less serious wounds since he’s an athlete

-He can tell your knees were bleeding way more than they should have from just a simple scrap

-He slinged you over his shoulder and carried you, calmly, back home, with a burger still in his hand

-He’s actually really collective and talked to you while cleaning up your injury to take your mind off the pain

-He knows humans are a little more fragile than demons so even though he knows it’s not a big deal, he can’t help but worry

-It’s kinda hard falling around him tho because chances are, he will actually catch you even if he happens to hold something

-He’s sad if you’re sad so please don’t cry he will bandage your scraped knee do you want the last bit of his burger to make you feel better?

-He forced himself to focus on you first before hunting the moron down

-Turns out, you scraped your knee pretty horribly and now you were bleeding all over the floor

-He’s even more quiet than usual as he helps you up and half carries you to your next class

-He starts taking care of your knee in the middle of DevilDom history he doesn’t give a flying fuck

-He’s still furious by the time he gets home and most of his brothers know to leave him be when he makes that scary ass face
