“I need to talk to you guys. Alone.” Harry muttered to his three friends, engine of the Hogwarts Express rumbling beneath them.
Ron looked eager to know, and turning to his red-headed sister, ordered “Go away Ginny.” as a way to politely ask her to leave. The sister replied with an eye roll and walked away.
“Let’s find an empty compartment.” Hermione suggested, stroking the hair ball of a cat in her arms as they soon made their way down the corridor. They didn’t seem to be having any luck with finding any one that wasn’t full except for one at the end of the train.
A man was sleeping by the window, soft snores escaping him. He was wearing torn up robes, grey streaks in his hair despite him looking youngish.
“Who do you think he is?” Ron asked.
“Professor R. J. Lupin.” The girl replied, reading his suitcase that was pealing, showing its age.
“How’d you know that?” Ron asked, searching her face with confusion written all over his. She pointed to the case, all three of them taking a look as they sat down.
“Wonder what he teaches.” Ron said, already looking down the corridor for any sign of the women walking around with snacks.
Hermonie rolled her eyes. “Isn’t it obvious? Defense Against the Dark Arts.”
“Well he looks like he’s in rough shape; one hex would take him out for sure.” Ron said, adjusting Scrabbers in his robe pocket when his tail peeked out. “Anyway, what is it you wanted to tell us?” He said, turning to Harry.
The rest of them did the same, all paying attention to what the boy had to say.
Harry then explained what he overhead Mr. And Mrs. Weasley talking about, as well as what Mr. Weasley made him promise.
The girl’s eyebrows shot up, hand covering her mouth, mimicking Hermione’s reaction. Ron’s mouth was open.
“He escaped to come after you?” Hermiome said in disbelief from beside Ron. The girl seated next to Harry was still trying to register the information.
“Harry you have to be really careful.” The girl said, just about the same time as Hermione added, “Now don’t chase after trouble, Harry.”
Harry seemed slightly annoyed. “I don’t find trouble, Hermione. Trouble usually finds me.”
Ron scoffed at the two girls worries. “Plus, why would he go off and chase someone who wants to kill him?”
“True, but we have to be cautious.” Hermione advised.
“Who knows how he escaped.” Ron said, looking uncomfortable all of the sudden. “No one’s done it before, and he was under high security too.”
“But they will catch him, won’t they?” The girl said, trying to look at Ron and Hermione in assurance. “I mean, they’ve got Muggles looking for him-”
“What’s that noise?” Ron said, head swerving around as he tried to find the purpose. All of them did the same, the whistling noise getting irritating.
“Coming from your trunk, Harry.” Ron said, red head now dug in the luggage rack, hands snapping open the trunk as he brought out the reason for the noise.
“Oh! Is that a Sneakoscope?” The girl said, leaning forward so she could get a better look a the item.
“A very cheap one, mind you; went crazy when I attached it to my owl’s leg.” He said, shaking his head.
“Put it away,” Harry advises, eyes nervously glancing at the sleeping Professor. “It’ll wake him.”
Ron stuffed it in an old sock he found in Harry’s trunk which stopped the noise and snapped the trunk shut once he put it back.
“We got it in Hogsmeade.” Ron explained as he sat down. “The shop was full of all sorts of things. Fred and George told me about-”
“What’s it like there?” Hermione interrupted. “I heard it’s a place in Britain that doesn’t have any Muggles-”
“Sure it is,” Ron said hurriedly, being the one interrupting this time. “But that’s not why I want to go. I wanna go to Honeydukes!”
“What’s that?” The girl asked in wonder, curiosity shining in her eyes.
“It’s a shop that sells just sweets.” Ron gladly answered, sinking into his chair with a dreamlike expression on his face. “Like Pepper Imps that make you smoke at the mouth, or large sherbet balls that make you float a few inches off the ground when you suck on them.” Ron ended his sentence with a demonstration of the size of the sherbets, his hands making a giant circle to mimic their size.
“Oh I’m sure they’re much bigger than that.” The girl informed, holding up her own hands and trying to figure out how to make a bigger circle than Ron’s, just to get him riled up.
“No, mom told me they were like this.” He said, doing the same thing with his hands again.
“Yeah right! And I’m Volde-”
The sarcastic remark was interrupted when Hermione looked over at Harry curiously.
“Wouldn’t Hogsmeade be a fun place to walk around, Harry?” She asked.
Harry rolled his eyes, his arms were crossed and a small annoyed pout was on his lips. The girl couldn’t help but admire him despite his irritation, his green eyes twitching with annoyance.
“I’d like to know. Reckon you’d tell me all about it when you get back?”
The girl snapped out of it. “Why, can’t you come?”
Harry shook his head, untidy hair waving in the process. “No, Uncle Vernon didn’t sign my slip, and Fudge didn’t either.”
The girl slumped in her chair a little, bumped out being an understatement.
Ron looked mortified. “You can’t come? McGonagall or someone will grant you permission-”
Harry laughed disbelievingly, knowing all too well that the Professor mentioned was known to be quite strict.
“Or Fred and George will do something about it, one quick ask and they’ll sneak you right in.”
“Ron, no! Harry can’t be running around risking trouble when Black is wandering about!”
“But he’ll be with us, no one’s gonna-”
“Oh don’t speak rubbish, Ron. Black won’t hold back on attacking Harry just because we’re with him, he’s committed a murder in front of dozens of people.” The girl jumped in.
They’ve settled in a nice little stage of normal discussion while they enjoyed their snacks one the women came (apparently Ron avoided death because he claimed he was dying of starvation) and they ate contently until a certain Slytherin decided to show up to the door with his minions that too far behind him.
“Malfoy.” Harry scolded.
“Pottah.” Draco replied right back, scanning him with irritation in his eyes before turning to Ron. The girl nibbled on her lip on habit, knowing how short Ron’s temper was when Malfoy mentioned his family in any way.
“Heard your father finally got some hands on some gold, Weasley. What’d your mother do? Die of shock?”
Ron stood up abruptly, knocking over Hermione’s cat’s basket in the process.
The sleeping Professor snorted at the disturbance. Malfoy’s eyes snapped to the figure deep in slumber.
“Who’s that?” He asked, taking a cautious step back while pointing a skinny finger at the young man.
“New Professor.” Harry answered, standing up as well in case he needed to prevent Ron from lashing at the Slytherin. The girl, not knowing Harry’s purpose of standing up, misunderstood and thought he was gonna try to fight too, and her hands subconsciously went to the boy’s robes, holding tight just in case.
“You were saying, Malfoy?” Harry said, eyebrow raising in question. Malfoy scoffed, knowing he shouldn’t start something in front of a teacher, and whispered to his minions the plan to depart, and so they did.
The two boys sat down, the girl’s hands staying on Harry’s robes but not as tight; she felt safe knowing he was right there but thankfully the robes are big and Harry didn’t notice her grip.
“I’ve had enough of him making comments.” Ron snarled, face dark. “I’ve had it this year; one more comment on my family and I’ll get a hold his head and-”
Ron did something with his hands in the air, the motion not nice enough to explain.
The girl stiffed a laugh with Harry at the action. Hermione on the other hand wasn’t amused.
“Careful Ron. A Professor is right there!” She reminded, but the future Hogwarts teacher was still fast asleep.
Outside it started to rain, the droplets running down the window satisfyingly. The girl watched as the rain poured down and the sky became grey.
“It’s rough out there, I must tell you.” Ron complained, taking Scrabbers at of his pocket but stuffed him right back in once Crookshanks gave a soft hiss.
The train gave a rattle, shaking slightly but hard enough to shake the girl into Harry, her cheek coming in contact with his shoulder.
She leaned back as soon as the force of the train was over, cheeks flushed.
“Sorry.” She mumbled embarrassed.
Harry gave a reassuring smile. “Quite alright.” He said, pushing his glasses up his nose since they fell down a little.
She turned back towards the window to hide her face, watching the rain hammer to the ground. (She would lean forward to get a closer look but the Professor was right there, still deep in sleep despite the practical storm occurring outside.)
All seemed well until the train started to slow, the rain becoming more visible as the thick drops landed to the ground.
“Great, we’re here. I’m starving and dying for the feast.” Ron said, getting up and stretching before looking outside.
“What? We can’t be there quite yet.” Hermione said confused, glancing at her watch.
“Then what’s happened?”
“Well don’t look at me, I don’t know.”
“Flower, let’s look outside.” Harry said, pointing to the door. She nodded, getting up on wobbly legs from sitting down for far too long and walking towards the door.
Both their heads peaked out the open door, many students copying them out of confusion.
The lights suddenly went out, leaving the whole train in darkness.
“Woah! What’s happened?” Ron’s voice said behind them, Harry and the girl still standing by the door.
“Don’t know…” Hermione mumbled.
Harry held onto the girl as they felt their way to their seats. “Do you think we broke down?”
“Don’t know.” Hermione repeated.
The previously open door burst open suddenly, someone making quite a loud entrance before they tripped on something and fell forward right on top of Harry.
“Hello, Neville.”
“Harry? That you?” The boy asked confused as the girl heard him getting up.
“Who’s there?” Ron asked the new voice, only for another one to arrive.
“Ginny? What are you doing here?”
“Looking for Ron-”
“Nevermind come sit.”
“Quiet!!” A third new voice broke out, the Professor finally waking. He lit a fire (in his hands?) and started to walk out the compartment to see what the trouble was.
But someone something arrived before Lupin could leave.
A creature of some sort stood covered in a black cloak from floor to ceiling. Whatever was hidden under the cloak sucked in a sharp breath, and that’s when it happened.
A cold chill came through the air, chilling them to the bone. The girl felt hallow, like every speck of life was sucked out and she felt a flick of sadness; like she’d never be happy again. The cold went beneath her skin and traveled to her chest. She shivered uncontrollably.
A hand appeared from under the cloak, shriveled and pale, only for it to go back under.
The girl reached for Harry subconsciously, seeking for comfort only to feel his body board stiff. She turned to him, eyes wide, watching as his once sparkling eyes behind his glasses roll back in an unpleasant way.
His body twitched as he fell to the floor and off his seat, back on the ground.
“Harry!” The girl yelled, worry brewing in her chest. She knelt down beside him, hand lightly slapping his pale cheek nervously as she brought his head to her lap. So many things were happening around her but she didn’t take the time to notice, for his didn’t care. All she really did notice was that the lights flickered back on again. But all she cared about at the moment was Harry and if he was okay.
His eyes fluttered open, looking at her then looking at all the people around him.
“W-what?” He croaked, neck leaning up and the girl helped him sit up, his back leaning against the seat he was previously sitting in.
“Are you okay, Harry?” She asked, anxiety bending her brows. Harry didn’t answer, swallowing thickly.
“What happened? What’s that- that thing?” He said, eyes scanning the room for an answer. “Someone was screaming, who was-”
“No one was screaming, Harry.” Ron said, his face startled but confused.
There was a moment of silence before they heard a snapping sound, and, swerving their heads in the direction of the noise, saw Lupin breaking chocolate into pieces.
“Eat it, it will help, I assure you.” He spoke, looking at them. “Dementors, am I right?” He said, but no one laughed. He cleared his throat. “Anyway, I’m going to talk to the driver.”
Lupin left, and the girl guided the chocolate to Harry’s lips once she helped him sit down.
“Eat Harry, he said it will make you feel better.” She said gently.
Harry took a nibble, and he visibly relaxed as warmth traveled from the tips of his hair to his toes.
Harry looked around then, rubbing his eyes. “I still don’t understand, what happened?”
The girl was half listening to what the person said as they explained what occurred, her hand going to Harry’s as she gripped his fingers. He looked over at her, lips turning into a soft grateful smile. She smiled back but halfway since she was still worried, and she reached up and fixed Harry’s glasses on his face since they were crooked. He gave her another smile, one better than the last.

___
Thinking back on her years attending Hogwarts, there wasn’t a time when her heart wouldn’t be considered as something served to Draco Malfoy on a silver platter. Thinking about it now, she would give it to him in a heartbeat if that was what it took to make his heart beat better.
And she could tell when his was staggering, fighting to beat like everyone else’s, the wanting gaze landing on anyone with a regular blood bumper in their chest. If only his heart did that; cycled blood throughout his body like a never ending circle of life, giving him the liquid he needed to say alive, yet if he lost too much of it he would fade away. But to his misfortune his didn’t work that way. In fact, it seemed to be working for the purpose of suffocating him instead of helping him, flooding his lungs and wrapping invisible hands around his throat, daring him to try to at least take a breath.
So yes, she noticed every bit. Every single longing glance and curious looks of people laughing away, living their lives to the fullest while his was limited. Since when couldn’t he be free? Since when was it decided? Was it from the moment he entered the world, not even knowing his name or what his life was going to end up like? Or was it the second the envelope of acceptance into this magic school touched his finger tips, telling him the supplies he’d need to go to a place that would change his life forever as a Malfoy?
She wouldn’t know the answer, he wouldn’t know, nor would even his parents know even though they were the ones to decide. It didn’t affect the decision made in the first place, since he never did nor ever will have a say.
Years of Hogwarts go by, each one having a special memory that beholds their childhood in a tight grip. Not only did they have their ups and downs, but also magical knowledge that will forever be with them as guidance into their later years of life. Sadly those memories and countless lessons had to eventually come to an end, ending all the happiness that once was, fading into something that they wouldn’t ever be able to experience again but only remember.
But that didn’t mean that they didn’t have something big and effective before they left for good, leaving their magic school full of memories behind. Which led to the screams of loved ones, calling out to others and hopelessly waiting for a reply that will never come. The beautiful castle that once stood was no longer, just piles of rubble as if their childhoods were nothing. The past couldn’t be changed, not when curses were flying left and right and green light blaring everywhere imaginable. Nothing could erase the scars of people who survived, fighting for what’s right and used what they learned to the best of their ability. Nothing could change the fact that evil is about to win over good.
“Son, come.”
The whisper was soft yet demanding in the silence of the courtyard. It broke the ever lasting quiet, blasting through every ear as if they had to go through the peer pressure too.
Draco’s face was sad and lonesome, a deep frown on his lips that once held a snarl. Her empathy towards the boy was great, wanting nothing more than to stop him from going to the other side that represented darkness and evil. He wasn’t good enough for them, they didn’t deserve him. He was just a boy, just a kid that was still discovering the world day by day. His life shouldn’t have been changed this way, changed so greatly much so that his viewpoint on life’s purpose was forever impacted.
It was only then did his dear mother join in with the begging, desperately asking him to join the Dark Lord’s side.
“Draco, come here.”
Everyone was staring at him, the intense stares coming from every angle. His back, his head, the side of his face; he could feel them everywhere. The heat from their gazes set his chest on fire, craving for the normality of his peers. Why did their looks affect him so much? Why did he care? Most importantly, why was he so aware about his peers’ reaction to even notice? Shouldn’t he be focused on his parents, begging him to go to them and join their evil doings?
The Dark Lord spoke this time, breaking Draco out of the endless questions running in his mind, the evil-doer waving his hands that looked like claws at the boy as a way to call him over.
Draco looked at the students around him, silently asking them to stop staring but sadly they didn’t get the massage, their eyes still yet fixed on the side of his face for his reaction.
The Malfoy saw no point in staying with the people around him; like anyone enjoyed his presence at the school anyway. If he left they wouldn’t be surprised at his behavior, since his parents are Death Eaters mine as well make their son one too.
But that they didn’t know was that he didn’t want to, he didn’t want to join them in whatever hurtful and evil actions they were doing. They ruined his school, his home away from home (even though he would never admit it.)
Just thinking back on Bellartrix waving her wand with a wide satisfactory smile on her face, watching in admiration as the once was Great Hall destroyed into pieces. It was the place where Potter refused to shake his hand, where the leather hat barely touched his hair strands before shouting the house he destined to be in. Where the golden plates served the first feast of his Hogwarts years, one to remember for a lifetime.
But of course it was all gone, and for what. Just so the Dark side could carelessly kill students? If their purpose of arriving was to do so, why destroy the one place he called his safe haven?
Did they just want to make the situation worse? Like salt to the wound?
He couldn’t know, nor would he know. He would be once again left with the questions of his own left unanswered, still lingering in his mind for years to come. He could see it now, him as an old man staring longingly into the flames of his fireplace, empty tea cup in hand while the wonderings cycled in his brain once again, curiosity flooding his scenes, longing for the answers.
In fact, thinking about it now, he wanted that. He wanted to grow up and have a fireplace to star into at night. He wanted maybe a beautiful wife in the kitchen, humming to herself as she cleaned dishes from the previous home cooked meal they ate together. He longed for it, and the longer he stood there, staring at the ground, he only wanted it more.
But his desires weren’t going to be preformed, for the peer pressure in the back of his mind was too much, too much so that it covered his mind with persuasion, almost forcing him to follow his parents’ will. His foot stepped out, with great pain and a heavy heart he made his way to his parents, ready to do their evil doings unwillingly.
But lo and behold a soft grip stopped him, light against his fingertips as the touch silently begged him to stay. He stiffened, straightening his slumped shoulders as he dared to face the person who reset his thought process, his brain already second thinking the decision he previously made.
It was her, the girl that sat in the back of the class, softly mumbling answers that were always correct but she was too shy to actually say aloud. It was her, the one who would steal glances at him when she thought he wasn’t looking. It was her, the one who would whisper the things she was doing softly on the test so he could follow along, since she silently knew he wasn’t studying because of what he was going through. It was her, the one who was mentally there from the start.
Draco stared into the eyes of the girl who was dealing with his hard burdens, his hardships, and the rough edges of his life. She was sandpaper and he was the splintered wood, her sanding him down as she comforted him silently in the breeze. He found himself stepping back, watching as his father’s face twisted in disappointment, a snarl forming on his lips. Draco ignored it for the better, his fingers being held by his boat the kept him above the surface, preventing him from drowning.
At the end of those long years he did have that wife, watching her now as she softly swayed her hips to the quiet music playing, lips forming in a comforting smile he always liked to see as she cleaned a stain on a pan, her sleeves rolled up to her elbows. He then turned back taking a sip of his peppermint tea. His eyes found the fireplace, staring into the flames of his wants, watching as a piece of paper holding his father’s writing burned into ashes, the words of disapproval and disbelief fading into nothingness.

The stack of pages was held in her hands, twinkling eyes scanning the pages as her mind took in the exciting story. Pale fingers was tracing mindless shapes on the skin of her arm, the pace changing every minute or so.
The climax was just on the verge of happening, eyeballs practically skipping over sentences as she died to know what happened next. The face to face encounter of the protagonist and the antagonist was too great, her brain wiring at the information being sprayed at her. Her stomach twisted, eyes danced, and she could feel sweat building on her head. Her eyes widened, the story revealing a secret that she couldn’t bear to face or figure out. Or, that’s what some people would think. She of course hadn’t had any trouble figuring the secrets of the book, digging through the clues that were dropped casually throughout the story and putting them together to make a puzzle picture that was just discovered to most readers. (But not to her of course. She already figured it all out.)
For the reason of her eyes widening was the fact that she got it correct, her assumptions and theories she gathered turned out to be right the whole time.
She found herself lost in the pages that the book had to offer, truly getting sucked in the imaginary world the author created for entertainment.
But wouldn’t it be lovely and truly divine, she thought, setting the book down once she finished it. If the world that was so imaginative and fictional was real?
She sighed at the thought, picturing herself trapped in a tower in a dark abandoned land, looking hopelessly out the window for her lover to arrive and successfully rescue her.
For she knew who would come and serve her right. He would be the only person who would, not that others wouldn’t try only to face him.
But platinum hair was best suited for her, for she wouldn’t have any other interests but he.
Thinking of him now, she just then discovered that his fingers halted their movements not too long before, and her mind couldn’t help but wonder what the purpose was.
She looked over at her love, only to find him in soft gentle slumber, eyelashes tangled together as his pillow lips parted for a quiet breath.
She smiled soft, hand reaching over to cover him more with the blanket he had himself wrapped in, only for it to previously roll down his shoulders.
She then laid down softly next to him, her elbow holding her up as she used the same arm to place it near his head, almost like she was protecting him.
The face of her love was closer to her, so she now noticed the soft crease in his eyebrows, along sided with the visible tenseness on his shoulders. She shook her head softly, for that simply couldn’t do, and so she pointed out her pinky finger and reached for his forehead. Her finger practically brushed his skin, in between his eyebrows, stroking the crease away as she watch a sense of peace come over him, his eyebrows raising in a calming manner.
She smiled then, knowing he was peaceful now because of her doing.
She then lent forward, lips puckering as she pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead, fingers uncontrollably going to his hair strands. His hair was very soft, and how he kept it that she didn’t know, but that was his secret to keep because she simply liked wondering how he did it. Once her fingers reached a soft knot in his strands, most likely from his hands digging into his hair anxiously throughout the day, she was worried if she undid it with her fingers it would wake him up, so she carefully grabbed her wand, wood smooth beneath her finger tips.
She pointed the tip to his hair, whispering soft Charms as she watched the strands undo themselves. She smiled soft, putting her wand away as it was now long forgotten, her mind swarming with thoughts of her lover.
She sighed contently, fingers brushing through his hair slowly.
A intake of breath was heard, forcing her attention to his soft face. It scrunched up for a second, eyes fluttering as his silver eyes opened. He blinked a couple times, moonlight reflecting in his pupils making his orbs sparkle. He felt the touch in his hair, the extra blanket covering him, and his eyes met hers.
His lips curved into a soft smile, left hand reaching for her as it soon rested on her thigh, stroking the skin through the fabric.
“Hey, loves.” His voice was groggy and deep, but she liked it. She replied with a smile, fingers moving in his hair once again.
A sigh escaped his lips, head turning to rest near her chest, chasing for warmth. She kissed his forehead once again, mouth leaning towards his ear. The skin was warm on her lips as she whispered the truth. “I love you.”
She felt his lips stretch into a soft smile against her clothes, so she smiled too. His smile always made her smile, despite if she could see it or not.
“Oh but I love you most.” He mumbled into her shirt, voice muffled but she heard him all too well.
A flush came about her cheeks, traveling to her ears.
“Doubt it.” She replied, despite her red face.
Draco answered with a hum. Either he didn’t hear her, or did and chose to ignore it.
“You smell good loves; new shampoo perhaps?”
“Draco, I’ve been using this shampoo since First Year.”
Draco hummed again, snuggling his face into her neck. She heard him sniff as he smelled her hair again. “Mm? First Year? I should smell your hair more often loves.”
The girl rolled her eyes, stroking the hair on the back of his neck. She kissed it, keeping her mouth pressed there as her nose touched his warm skin.
“Ahh. This feels nice.” Draco murmured. She then felt him smirk into her neck. “What do you say we do this more often?”

@roseeyyyiee I saw a post of yours wanting Aang x Reader :)
Tumblr media
Katara’s hair was in her face. Now, it wasn’t something that the girl didn’t necessarily dislike; it smelled like salt water and her father’s leather uniform from carrying him earlier, but the way it tickled her nose was something she didn’t exactly enjoy. On the contrary, she did kinda like the fact that Aang’s nose was brushing the skin of her shoulder, his breathing fanning her neck as the team embraced for what they feared would be the last time.
Doubt crowded their hearts and minds, the hands of anticipation squeezed their throats until they couldn’t breathe.
Who knows what would happen after they broke apart. Would Sokka’s invention idea suddenly go downhill? Would Katara get hurt on Appa, and would be unable to water bend? Or wound Toph get stuck in a bunch of rocks she couldn’t control? Or worse, the girl thought, would she loose Aang?
The last thought lingered as so did their touch as the group separated.
Hakoda emerged from the submarine, his hair breezing at his cheeks.
He announced everyone back in, and the group followed his orders, the girl thinking Aang and Katara followed them.
She thought she heard their soft footsteps, or rough feet of Katara running to ride Appa. Or the snap of Aang’s glider as he prepared to go the Fire Lord.
But sometimes even her mind played tricks on her, and the things she thought she heard didn’t occur.
None of them did.
Tumblr media
“Hey, flower, go check on Katara, she needs to fly on Appa in order for us to move on.”
Sokka’s voice rang in her ears, her stomach twisting as she realized her friend wasn’t on the armed bison yet. Her feet hurt as she climbed the ladder to the hole, the sun almost blinding her as the darkness of the submarine flooded with light.
Her lips parted after her tongue escaped to lick them, vocal cords ready to call out Katara’s name.
Instead her mouth was opened more in surprise, doubt swarming her stomach, thick and hot.
She disturbed them just in time to see the back of Aang’s head close to Katara’s, a soft gasp escaping her when his lips pressed to hers.
He pulled back, hands going to his glider as it snapped open, the blue flags of fabric spreading out. The noise echoed in the girl’s ears as the boy took off, the air and him becoming one.
At that very moment, the girl couldn’t think of anything else as she watched Katara look off into the distance of the sky, most likely with flushed cheeks after the previous events.
The girl’s chest suddenly hurt with a sharp pain. No, not her chest, she thought, hand going up to squeeze the fabric of her shirt, her heart.
Her heart hurt. And she knew why.
She cleared her throat, her friend whipping around, expression flustered but cheeks back to normal color.
“Sokka told me to tell you to get going if we wanna move on.”
The girl’s voice hasn’t sounded any worse. Her throat was cloudy, imaginary hands gripping her vocal cords. What was heard was a soft hurting voice, almost inaudible.
But Katara heard it well and clear, her head nodding as her mind quickly focused on something else.
“Right, don’t worry I got it.” She said, running towards Appa.
The girl wasn’t so lucky, the picture of the two repeatedly playing in her mind.
She nodded back even though Katara was long gone, head dipping into the submarine as the cap closed loudly behind her.
She saw Sokka flinch from the noise. “Flower, why’d you let it slam!?”
He might of said something else but she didn’t get to hear it, hot tears not only clouding her vision but all her senses.
She didn’t know where to go so she went to where the water benders would be steering the submarines, since there wasn’t anyone in there at the moment.
There she curled up in the tightest ball she could, feeling like a child crying after their mom yelled at them.
She did feel yelled at, like the world finally yelled the fact that Aang would never love a girl like her. She was the alive and breathing opposite of Katara.
How could he like her? When she thought about herself she couldn’t think of one thing she liked. One thing Aang would like.
Because when he looked at her he just saw the girl who couldn’t bend anything, the girl who just was good at plans but most of the time they went with Sokka’s anyway.
Why was she even trying at that point. Trying to thrive in the group was hard enough, and trying for the Avatar to like her was like trying to get a pig to fly. Impossible.
So the girl stayed there, and later found a secret cabinet in the ship that she hid in while the water benders did their thing.
The tears were still flowing endlessly, her sobs only letting out when there was a loud noise to cover it up.
She couldn’t feel anymore alone.
Katara didn’t care about her.
She cared about showing the power of women and the Avatar saving the world.
Sokka didn’t care about her.
He cared about Suki and his sister.
Toph didn’t care about her.
She had other things to worry about, like her parents and her previous royal life.
And especially Aang. He didn’t love or care about her.
He loved Katara, and cared more about the water bender more than he could ever care about the girl crying in the submarine instead of fighting the Fire Nation.
He wanted someone who was brave and tough, someone Katara was and she wasn’t.
She sniffed loudly, and thankfully the water benders didn’t hear her but a small part of her wished they did.
At least then someone would show a speck of care she thrived for.
She wanted someone to care, to love her, but Aang wasn’t that person as she hoped he would be.
“Flower I feel you under there.”
She gasped at the voice, knowing all too well that it was Toph because of her feet being her eyes.
“Go away; aren’t you supposed to be helping the earth benders?”
Worry gripped the girl for a moment, scared that Toph and the team somehow failed and she came to tell her that the Avatar is dead for good this time.
Toph chuckled, sensing the girl’s worry with just her feet.
“Yeah, but I noticed you were gone…. Well Sokka did because I can’t see you. But I wanted to look for you.”
The girl wiped her eyes, thanking God that Toph couldn’t see her tears. And praying that she couldn’t sense them.
“There’s no use getting me- I’m no help to the team anyway.”
Toph blinked, seeming to be looking off into space but the girl knew she was listening.
“Yeah you are, flower, without you Twinkle Toes would still be a nervous wreck.”
The girl thought back when she assured Aang that he was ready for the Fire Lord, despite his nightmares saying otherwise. What she told him was true, every word about him being strong and brave and all the other things she told him.
“Katara would’ve said those things too.”
Toph shook her head, hair strands moving in front of her face.
“Not as good as you did.”
The simple sentence reassured her for a moment, but that didn’t change the fact that Aang didn’t feel the same way.
“Doesn’t matter!” She suddenly exclaimed. “Aang kissed Katara before he left so that means that he loves her, not me, so if anything I am useless and stupid because if he doesn’t love me than I don’t know what I am. What am I, Toph? I’m a nobody without him. Without him, I feel empty, and stupid, and lonely, and unhelpful and unloved, and-“
She was babbling on so much she didn’t notice the tears blurring her vision once again, her cheeks soaked from the liquid of doubt.
Toph reached out for the girl, grabbing her hands and held her once she found out where she was.
Toph shushed her sobs, rubbing her back as she placed her feet on the ground, so she could sense that if anyone was coming.
“It’s okay, Flower. Twinkle Toes will realize what he lost.”
The never ending tears soaked the earth bender’s clothes, but neither of them cared.
“He’ll never even notice. I was never his.” The girl whispered.
“Not true.” Toph said instantly. “And if his stupid brain doesn’t realize it I’ll make him.”
The girl let out a very small smile into her friend’s clothes.
Thanks for reading! 📖

One With The Wind
Fred Weasley x Fem!Reader
Summary: Reader has a fear of heights and doesn’t understand what all the hype about flying around is about, until she asks Fred to show her.
Warnings: Playful teasing? Friends to “lovers”, Acrophobia (fear of heights), that’s all I know of.
Note: For the lovely @marriinachoo -I hope this was enough fluff for you! (And I hope you enjoy it- thanks again for requesting!!)

“I still don’t understand how you guys do that.” The girl said while the two flaming haired boys discussed the famous Wizard game every boy and girl wanted to try (besides her.) Putting a spoonful of food into her mouth, she looked up at the two.
The red head in front of her raised an eyebrow in question, and the replica of him did the same, making her laugh.
“Do what?” George asked.
She waved her utensil in front of her as a way to gesture to the two twins.
“You know, climb on a stick and go into the air in intention of beating a ball to other students; potentially killing them.”
The two boys laughed in unison despite her seriousness, so much so you couldn’t tell the difference between them and their laughs. They both smiled wide, the noise of happiness filling her ears as she watched them. Their heads turning to each other, eyes meeting with a mirror image as they only chuckled harder when the other person made a funny face that set them off.
“First off, love, it’s a broomstick, and we’re Beaters. That’s our job: to beat the ball to the other team?” Fred explained with a teasing smile sitting on his lips.
George chuckled. “I thought you’d know that by now. You’ve been dealing with us since First Year.”
The girl rolled her eyes in response at their teasing words despite the blush threatening to rise on her cheeks from the nickname Fred gave her.
“Whatever it’s called, I don’t know why it gets you guys all riled up. I’d rather watch than fly, thank you very much.”
George shrugged her comment off and turned to Lee Jordan who grabbed his attention, but Fred raised his eyebrow at her. Not in a confused questioning way, but in a teasing manner.
“Really? Rather watch than fly? Blimey.”
The last word was murmured, his wild head trying to comprehend the fact that she would rather stand around a bunch of sweaty teenagers and young children than to feel the wind in her hair as the simple yet powerful excitement of completion roared through her veins.
She shrugged in response, finding nothing of it. “I mean, yeah, because I’m too scared to; I could never.”
Fred made a face. “Scared? To fly?”
She nodded sheepishly. “I mean I can’t name a thing that isn’t scary about it.”
Fred scoffed, and since they were at the end of the table, he quickly got up and swiftly moved next to her, their shoulders brushing.
“Nonsense. It’s very exciting, actually.” He assured gently. He then grabbed his plate from the other side of the table, his silverware now in his hands.
He continued to eat as if her fears were simply silly, something so small she was making so big.
She hesitated before asking for conformation. “Really? But you go so….high.” She fought back a shiver when she said the word but her heart failed, the organ in her chest seeming to stagger out of fear just from the thought.
Fred nodded and turned to her. “You do go pretty high, but when you’re playing the game you don’t really think much of it; you’re distracting yourself from the height by doing so.”
She hummed softly, mind taking what he said and turning it over so she could see all the angles.
“So… if I were to go up on a broom and distract myself, then I wouldn’t be as scared as I think I would be?”
Fred shrugged, moving his fork to her plate and stealing a piece of cut up chicken that was there.
“I mean, it might not work for you, ‘cause I don’t even have a thing of heights, but it works for me despite my absent fear.”
She thought about it for a moment. I mean, she trusted the twins; maybe even trusted one more than the other. (Fred.)
So it wasn’t that that was keeping her from asking, rather it was the deep fear of the biggest, most negative solution to come out of it. What if she fell to her death and never saw any of her friends again? She’s too young to die.
She blinked, realizing she was staring into space while thinking such negative thoughts.
Her blink must of re-set her brain, causing her head to turn towards the boy.
“C-could I try for myself and see?”
Fred coughed out pumpkin juice at the sudden question, his mind so used to the comfortable silence they fell into he didn’t expect her to talk again.
“What?” He rasped, patting his chest. She chuckled, picking up her napkin and giving it to him to wipe his mouth.
She watched him do so as she repeated the question.
When she did a small smirk formed on his lips.
“Sure.”
Tumblr media
“Yeah, no, I change my mind.”
Fred laughed in the breeze, the noise blessing her ears.
“Come on, it was your choice and you’re in Gryffindor for a reason. Hop on.”
Fred was currently standing on the ground with the broomstick in between his legs, the sand on the Pitch almost covering his shoes.
She shifted, her stomach turning at the thought of leaving the ground but she followed his order despite, legs swinging over the stick and arms wrapping tightly around Fred’s waist.
Her cheeks flushed but she didn’t take the time to recognize it, her chest occupied with a squeezing sensation of fear.
“Ready?”
His voice broke out her fear, the soft question falling from his lips so effortlessly, like it was a bird with wings and claws, using them to take her fear and fly it off into the wind, never to be seen again.
Sadly the feeling of courage only lasts for a second because as soon as she nodded softly against his robes, his leg kicked off the sand and they were no longer on the ground.
She bit back a scream but some of it slipped, causing a small squeal to escape.
Fred chuckled but she didn’t hear it over the wind, instead feeling his body shake from the laughter.
“Open your eyes!”
She didn’t want to, but the trust for him was strong so her eyelids fluttered open, the broom coming to slow yet calming pace.
Her cheek was still pressed to his back, but her eyes scanned around her and she was met with the breathtaking view of Hogwarts, the building standing as strong as ever as the wind flooded her hearing.
Her mouth came agape at the sight, her head leaving his back as she turned to look at everything possible, leaving no angle unseen.
“Hey, hold on tight back there.”
She rolled her eyes even though her arms were wrapped around his waist so tight he was struggling to breathe she bet, but she still laid her head back down on his back.
His skin was warm through the fabric, and it wasn’t the reason for the deep flush on her cheeks, traveling to her neck.
Tumblr media
“Rather watch than fly, huh?”
She threw her Quidditch uniform on the floor roughly, despite the background noise of Oliver yelling to put it on so they had time to get out there.
She used the precious time she had to walk an over and give Fred a well deserved slap on the arm, his beautiful laughter once more filling her ears.
-I hoped you liked it! 💕🥺

Fake Hatred
Draco x Fem!Reader
Summary: Draco and Reader hate each other. Everybody knows it, even Draco’s friends. But they have suspicions and their gut feelings aren’t wrong.
Warnings: “Enemies” to lovers, bets, mentions of labeling someone “Princess” and “Prince”, one swear/bad word, jealous Pansy, little crying, anger, protectiveness from Draco.
Note: I honestly kinda hate it, but it was requested and/so I hope it’s satisfactory. :/

The voices were muffled, purposely speaking low to not be heard. Their meeting and conversation was hushed to the minimum volume, caution constantly running through their veins so they wouldn’t get caught.
“I bet ya; ten gallons.”
A scoff was heard. “Ten gallons? That’s it? Make it twenty.”
There was a moment of silence so we can only assume the other person shook or nodded their head.
“Come on! We’re talking about the Slytherin Prince and Princess-If I’m right on this I gotta get a better reward.”
Another scoff. “Fine. But I won’t have to worry about it since I know I’m right in this.”
Yet another moment of silence, meaning another head movement of their choice.
“Whatever you say, I know I’m right.”
“Eh? How ‘bout we make this really interesting?”
The person chuckled, and that’s when we can put names to the voices, since that particular chuckle was oh so recognizable. It was Crabbe and Blaise. And Crabbe was the one who laughed.
“What? You already got money involved I don’t know how it can get any better.”
Blaise didn’t verbally respond, so it gave the impression he made a facial expression; a smirk, if you will.
“How ‘bout we give him, ya know, a little push?”
Crabbe made a loud reaction and Blaise was quick to shush, yet another silent moment to tell us that they were looking left and right for any sign of someone being there.
Once they were giving the reassurance that there was no evident difference in the air, they continued.
“Be quiet, loud mouth. Make a sound that loud again and someone will for sure be right at the end of the corridor.”
Blaise was speaking through clenched teeth, voice barely leaving his mouth.
Crabbe let out a sound of annoyance. “Not my fault you picked the most echoey one out of all the school.”
There was a slapping sound then, like Blaise smacked Crabbe’s shoulder. (The slap was followed by a quiet whine of protest.)
“Whatever-anyway, what do ya think? Mm?”
Crabbe thought for a moment. “Nah; let’s drop signs to the princess.”
“Signs of what?”
“Do I really have to spell it out for ya? That he likes her, duh.”
After a moment Blaise made a clicking sound with his tongue as a sign of agreement. “Not bad, Crabbe. Not bad at all.”
The discussion went back and forth on a plan once one of the two plans was favored, but what they didn’t know was that the person Malfoy supposedly had an interest in was right behind the wall they were leaning on, knowing everything they said. She heard enough, leaving her hiding place with a soft smirk on her face.
Tumblr media
“Where have you been?”
Although the voice held annoyance and frustration for Pansy’s eye, she heard concern and worry laced through it like a knitted clothing item.
Her heart softly fluttered at his concern but scoffed nonetheless.
“Like you care.” She snapped back instead.
Pansy rolled her eyes at the usual encounter between the two Slytherins.
“Gosh, won’t you two sort it out? Merlin’s sake.”
“Shut up Parkinson.” Malfoy barked and she instantly sank in her seat like she usually does when Draco orders her.
“Whatever,” Pansy muttered, trying to sound like Malfoy’s remark didn’t affect her. “I’m gonna go find the guys so they can study with us. I just know they won’t do it later on their own.”
Pansy left with a roll of her eyes, robes swooping behind her as she left the Common Room.
As soon as Pansy’s robes were out of sight, his pale fingers laced with the girl’s next to him under the table on his knee.
Tumblr media
“Blaise? Crabbe?”
The sound of hushed talking was heard despite her call out to the student behind the door Pansy was, so she turned around the corner to find the two boys whispering among themselves. She crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“What are you two morons murmuring about?”
The two boys stopped talking immediately at the third voice, both heads snapping in her direction as if they just got caught with their hands in a cookie jar.
“Nothing.” Crabbe said, clearly lying.
Pansy again rolled her eyes for the millionth time that day.
“Whatever. We have to go study for Snape’s test- we have to get back before they kill each other.”
Pansy turned around to head back to the Common Room so she didn’t see the smirk they exchanged before they followed her.
Tumblr media
“I see you guys have already started studying.”
The teasing tone used came from Crabbe, his lips turned into a smirk as well as Blaise’s when they saw what was in front of them.
Draco and the girl were holding hands on the table, but once they heard another presence the fingers separated at the speed of lightning.
Pansy’s face held an otherwise expression, her mouth agape and eyes sightly glazed with tears.
“What the absolute hell?” She barked, pointing at them with disgust written all over her face.
“Yeah, what she said.” Blaise joined in one the teasing, chuckling lightly at Pansy’s reaction.
“Since when did this become any of you guys’ business?” Draco snapped suddenly.
The two boys held up their hands on defense, but Pansy wasn’t having it.
“I could treat you better, Dray. Better than whatever that is.” She said, gesturing to the poor girl sitting at the table, her lips turned downward in a small frown at the other Slytherin’s words.
“Snap that stupid mouth shut, it never knows when to.” Draco ordered, gripping the girl’s hand again once he angrily packed their books together in their bags. He grabbed them in his hand, swooping them over his shoulder, eyes glaring upon them.
“Now, if you guys don’t mind, which I don’t care if you do, we’re gonna go study in some peace and quiet without all you three nagging about what you think is your business.”
He lead the girl out without another word, fingers laced together.
Pansy scoffed despite the tears in her eyes. She walked away quickly, hands coming up to her face when she did so.
“So much for the signs.” Crabbe said.
Blaise smacked his arm for the second time that day in response.
“Shut up, Crabbe.”

hey! I'd like to request something💕 either with draco or if you would like to write for another character maybe fred or blaise? where the reader is scared of flying and asks them to teach them how to fly a broom with lots of fluff pls💕
Wait that would actually be so cute with Fred! I think that’s a wonderful idea I can’t wait to write it I’m actually so excited. 😆
I am most comfortable with writing for Draco because I just mentally understand him somehow but I will do some studying on Fred’s character so I can write for him!
Thanks so much for requesting. 💕
(Also let me know if you would like anything added on the story it’s your idea after all! And I will tag you in the finished product if that’s okay.)
Have a lovely day!

hehe it's me again! anndd about that request:
I dont really have a title planned just thought you cpuld roll with it whatever way you liked! For the additional aspects though, before draco and reader went to the common room the reader heard someone talking about how they think that draco has a crush on them, only to find them in the common room together.
idk if thats confusion or not, so like the timeline is:
overhearing someone talk about draco having a crush on them -> seeing draco and reader together in the common room -> chaos ensues
thank youuu!! :)
Oh thanks so much for that! I was unsure how to start it, so I didn’t start writing today; so the timeline provided really helps.
I was thinking about titling it “Fake Hatred” since they are acting like they hate each other, but in reality they don’t?
I don’t know if I told you or not, but I will tell you again just in case. I will tag you in the finished product so you can read it first! (If that’s okay let me know if you’d like otherwise)
And I’m still making it Draco’s friends talking about the reader having a crush on Draco/catching them on the Common Room. (If that works with you that is!)
I’m looking forward to writing it for you I’ll start today!! 😱

Sooo, i got a request!
What about a draco x reader one where they are in a secret relationship and somehow his friends see them like in the common room together? maybe make them act like they hate each other infront of others, so it's kinda shocking for them to see then together hihi
thanks in advance!! if u want more info on the details just ask :)
Hello!
That is a wonderful idea! I already wrote a story called “Behind Closed Doors” about Draco and Reader being in a secret relationship but I didn’t make his friends find out, instead the Reader was friends with the Golden Trio.
But, as per request, I do like the concept and the plot you came up with so I will write it! Do you have any title ideas or do you want me to come up with something? I’m okay either way I just want you to be happy with it!
And don’t worry, let me know if you want anything else included in the story!!
Thanks so much for requesting!! 🫶🏻

Flowers Upon Your Head
Draco x Fem!Reader
Summary: Reader officially crowns the Slytherin Prince of Hogwarts, but what she doesn’t expect is to be crowned his princess. (Not real crowns, but made of flowers.)
Warnings: Talk about praising someone, like hailing them, self doubts in academic work, nothing else I know of.
Sorry if it’s too short; but it’s gotta be one of my favorites besides “Dear Draco”.
Dear Draco

Request Requirements (they’ve been updated!)
Tumblr media
The sky was bright blue, sun rays shining bright across all the land of Hogwarts, showcasing the wondrous school that held many intelligent students; now either learning more knowledge or taking their assigned time off.
Two green robes were taking the second option to their best advantage: staying outside in the fresh air and catching up on work.
The both lay on the grass by the Black Lake, the boy leaning against the tree trunk and the girl sitting criss cross next to him.
The boy, platinum blonde hair and known as the bully of the school, had his Potions homework in front of him on his lap. His quill scribbled left and right as he wrote an essay.
The girl, known as the most innocent person in the world who wouldn’t hurt a fly, was previously done with her homework and is now fiddling (or, at least, that’s the word Draco would use to describe what she was doing) with flowers in her hand, tying the stems together to make something the boy didn’t know.
She was well concentrated until she heard a groan escape the boy, her eyes moving from the flower stems to him, raising an eyebrow questionably.
He didn’t look up as did she, instead he was having a glare contest with the paper as he tapped his quill quite frustratingly.
“What’s another word for fragile?”
She thought for a moment, going back to the plants in her hand once she discovered his groan was the reason of nothing serious.
“Delicate? Brittle?” She asked once figuring it out, fingers slightly burning from now finishing the tie of the stems, the nectar from the flowers getting on her fingertips as the stems were tightly wrapped around her hands.
He hummed. “Brittle is good.”
She smiled soft, glad she could help in some way. “Is the essay coming along nicely?”
He chuckled. “With the amount of skill I have in the writing spectrum and your vocabulary, I think it’s going quite well.”
She rolled her eyes this time, knowing he was being sarcastic with the statement he said about himself.
“Dray, don’t worry; I read it during lunch and it looked fine so far. That is if you didn’t ruin it with what you call last minute edits.”
Her teasing tone grabbed a smirk from him that she didn’t see.
She wasn’t mindful of the next occurrence because she was in fact focused on the finishing touches of her crown, but his ears turned from pale to a soft pink color at the nickname.
He scoffed instead to cover it up even though she didn’t see it. “Doubt it.”
She sighed, knowing there was no use in trying to convince him the work was good grade worthy.
He suddenly slapped the paper down in front of her on the grass. “How does this look?”
Despite the aggression he showed in his actions she could hear a little anxiousness in his voice. He was nervous for her reaction.
She still had the flowers in her hands so she didn’t touch the paper in fear of getting things on it, so instead of holding them in front of her she moved them so they were by her shoulder and she looked down at the paper.
Draco’s handwriting covered the paper, perfect cursive with soft swoops in the letters forming great work.
Her eyes scanned it as she read, taking in the information he provided.
She hummed in satisfaction. “Very nice, Dray. Very nice.”
She smiled at him as he took the paper back, this time noticing the pink tint on the tip of his ears.
“You okay?” She asked, oblivious to the reason for his flush.
He nodded, swallowing thickly.
She hummed again, turning her body fully to him. “Don’t worry! Snape will love it. I see it now,” she started, pretending to look of into the distance like she was dreaming. “An ‘Outstanding’!”
Draco rolled his eyes in annoyance. “Wouldn’t go that far with it but whatever.”
She scoffed at his negative mindset and, wiping her hands on the grassy ground to get rid of the nectar, and grabbed the crown she just previously made. She then turned the scoff on her face to a soft reassuring smile.
“Well, whatever you may think, I think it was wonderful and the good grade I know you’ll get is well deserved.”
She ended her sentence with softly placing the crown on his platinum head, the soft white petals perfectly matching the mob of hair he held.
Draco’s eyes moved upward as if he would be able to see the flowers on his head. The girl laughed, then she smiled once again.
“All hail the Slytherin Prince.” She joked. She expected another eye roll but instead received a soft smirk coming from the corner of his lips, a small chuckle escaping him.
She then moved to sit next to him, their shoulders brushing and cheeks flushing.
His soft looking hands reached out and using his long fingers pulled flower after flower out of the tall grass, each stem producing a satisfying snap when they broke.
Although she kinda felt bad for the flowers, she knew that the roots were still planted into the ground, so that gave her reassurance knowing they’d grow back again.
Still she watched as his own hands messily tied the stems together almost just like she did. When he was finished, his arm reached up as he placed it on her head, the weight of it slightly flattening the top of her hair.
He then leaned in, brushing his nose on her cheek; her face turning a soft tone of red. His head turned so his lips touched her ear lightly. The touch was barely felt, but it was there.
“All hail the Slytherin Princess.”
He whispered it, making the meaning much more meaningful. A soft chill went through her, a warm sense of comfort and nervousness at the same time racing down her spine.
“How’d you know how to tie it?” She asked curiously to hide the nervous warmth flooding through her. She felt his cheeks spread into a smile.
“I watch you, loves; much more than you think.”
Her face flushed as his finger gently booped her nose.
He chuckled low right in her ear. “Aww, don’t get flustered loves; just giving my princess the praise and recognition she deserves.”
Wait.
‘My Princess’?

She thought they were good. She thought he was good. She thought she was good…Wasn’t she?
That was the same set of questions or thoughts that ran through her mind each morning when his fingers no longer brushed her waist and at night when his cold back faced her.
Was it something she was doing? Something she said and it happened to give him the feeling of unsatisfactory?
She wished she could flick her wand and all could be fixed, but even magic like that couldn’t fix her mental problems. Some things couldn’t be fixed with magic, they had to be fixed with communication and understandings, heart to heart as they discussed their issues, hoping that later on they could at least hold onto their love for a little longer before it was gone.
It seemed these days she was the only one that held that hope, that on her part she was the one who wanted to discuss, not him. The real question was why and when. She just didn’t have the courage to bring it up, afraid to see the penitential snarl on his face or the disappointment towards her to rise in his chest.
She didn’t want that. She was sure no one wanted that. Heck, she bets he didn’t want that but it was something he couldn’t control. Something he had no other choice but to show.
Well, back to the present tense, she is back to the what seemed the cold sheets of lost hope and previous love and her eyes set on the ceiling; not planning on leaving the tiles any time soon.
She heard him breathing softly beside her, and when she was brave enough to glance she saw the slow rise of his shoulders as he slept; his back was still to her. She didn’t know if when she fell asleep somehow he knew and he secretly rolled over and embraced her, or he stayed in the same position the whole night, his body somehow afraid of grazing her skin in any way during his slumber.
It was most likely the second option, for she was sure that she would wake up from something so special beholding her (that something special being him.)
Simply his body facing her would wake her up. His touch upon her skin, for it always made her shiver in the best way. But of course she was imagining all that while she lay in bed with him next to her but far away, almost like he wanted nothing to do with her.
She couldn’t help it. The tears that arose in her eyes were against her will, but she knew the cause was her hurting heart inside her chest, beating the best it could through the pain. She couldn’t be more grateful for it, supplying blood for her body all whilst it stung with great pain.
Soon the tears that were just settled in her eyes were now taking home on her cheeks, flowing like mini rivers and her face was the deep green hills, the water swaying to and fro as the winds picked up.
Her brain started winding, sending thoughts that were so darkened and negative she could no longer breathe properly. Would he leave her? Sure the girl wasn’t as pretty as some other girls within the Magic world, specifically Hogwarts at the moment, but she was average; wasn’t that what she’s always been? Average?
Average isn’t good enough. Not for him. He deserved endless happiness compared to what he’s been through.
Was what she was giving him already, which was happiness and love, not enough for him? She thought so, but based on his current actions of ignoring her and acting like he’s reluctant to sleep beside her, was her displays of affection not satisfactory?
Were they satisfactory, yet not enough to fulfill his expectations?
Her brain was going so fast that it was then this she realized her heart was pounding, so much so the heard it in her ears.
She grew worried, since she wasn’t running or anything, for there was no reason her heart could be beating so quickly. Her lips parted, lungs suddenly starting to run out of air. Her breathing quickened, panicking even more when her heart didn’t stop and the ability to breathe was getting harder.
A wave of hot sweat ran over her like a chill, her legs breaking from the covers abruptly, chest clenching.
Her wobbly legs took her to the bathroom, hands almost slamming the door and fiddling with the lock until it clicked, hands still pressing pressure on it even though the knob already turned.
Her body ran out of strength and she let go quickly, leaning on the sink as she bent her head, squeezing her eyes shut so tightly she saw colors within her eyelids.
Her heavy breathing slowly changed to wheezing and tears, hiccups hurting her chest as her body fought for air for an unknown reason.
Her body flinched hardly when there was rough knocking on the door, the person wanting to come in.
“Loves, you okay?”
The voice. His voice.
It rumbled through the door, not just because he was in fact talking through a door, but also for the reason of his sleepy voice, still tired from his previous slumber.
She was silent besides her heavy breathing still being audible, but even that she was trying to keep quiet.
But of course she couldn’t do so, and since he got quiet as a response he knocked again and twisted the handle gently.
He knocked once again when he found out it was locked. “Loves, open.”
He said it so gently and soft, voice full of concern and love for her. She felt belonged, right then, felt loved and cared for. She walked over to the door hesitantly, hand reaching out and while doing so she saw it was shaking.
She fiddled with the handle with fear rising in her chest in anticipation.
Was he gonna leave her?
The door opened, messy blonde locks coming into view. Despite the softness of his voice earlier, her panic inside her chest caused her to doubt how he would react. She expected his eyes to be hard and full of irritation for I interrupting his sleep, but they were full of concern and worry within the orbs, silver surrounding her vision instead of tears.
He didn’t wait to have a staring contest with her before he closed the door, walking towards her and wrapping his splendor arms around her, stroking the ends of her hair and encouraging to to breath slower.
“I-I can’t.” She said. She spoke through breath after breath, no space between them.
She felt his head nod against her neck. “You can, loves.”
Tears kept streaming. Breathes kept coming out short. Hands kept stroking her cheeks to get rid of the coming tears once he lifted his head up from her neck area.
He sucked in a breath at seeing her in pain, fingers going to her hair and moving it away from her sweaty face.
He cupped her face in his hands, cradling it like the most delicate flower to ever exist. Because to him she was. And it was his job to water her and provide her light.
“Honey, just breathe! I’m here, aren’t I?”
She nodded in his hands, showing him how strong she was. And she’s been told she was by him; he tries to tell her every day.
He suddenly started breathing loud but steady, waving his hand gently to show her to copy him.
She did just that, and all doubts floated away, every questioning thought about their future fading away, replaced with nothing but sincere and genuine love.
Here then she embraced him once more, desperate to feel his warmth. Nose buried in his clothed chest, she mumbled, “Don’t ever leave me, please.”
He scoffed against her. “Leave you? Darling, my heart would rather die a thousand different ways than to leave you.”
