Anime recommendations pt3

Back again with another anime rec list! Because I have the attention span of a 4-year-old anime is all I can seem to watch at the moment so here are a few more that I recommend. If you are looking for more recs check out part 1 and part 2!

1.Bungo Stray dogs (50 episodes, ongoing)

I'm a little late to the party with this one but I am obsessed with bsd now. The mafia, the powers, detective work, and found family has me in such a chokehold. I love all of the characters sm, this one got me back on my anime bullshit so fast and I have rewatched it so many times already. 10/10 recommend it is already making its way into my top 10. I am a chuuya simp.

2. Moriarty the Patriot (24 episodes)

Okay this one totally surprised me in the best way possible. I knew it was a kinda sherlock holmes retelling but oh my god was it so well done and different ugh I LOVED it. Seeing the story from mainly Moriarty's view was sooooo good. I don't want to say too much about it because it's probably best left a surprise, but it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

3. Spy x Family (25 episodes, will be an S2)

Why is this so cute and wholesome? I am currently watching this one and it is adorable. A spy on an important mission and an assassin come together to raise an adopted daughter, but the kicker is that only the daughter knows what's up. If you need any sort of fluff in your life I highly recommend.

4. Buddy Daddies (12 episodes)

I think this GIF pretty much sums it up. Think spy x family but gay and has more trauma. I just finished Buddy Daddies and it immediately became one of my comfort animes. Two hitmen accidentally end up raising a little girl and as you can guess chaos ensues. The emotional development here really got me, was fully crying in front of my TV through the entire last episode.

5. Sasaki and Miyano (13 episodes, movie on the way!)

Speaking of gay, this is the cutest fucking shit I have ever seen in my entire life. It had me screaming, kicking my feet, and made my heart hurt in the best possible way. Even looking at this GIF makes me smile it is just that adorable. Sasaki and Miyano are two high school students that meet by chance one day and become friends, and through the show we get to see their friendship develop into something more.

6. I’m the Villainess so I’m Taming the Final Boss (12 episodes)

Tell me why this was so chaotic but one of the best things I've ever watched. I am not usually into isekai animes but for some reason, I decided to watch this one and I'm glad I did. Our main character is reincarnated into an otome game as a villainess who is meant to die. There is no way she is letting that happen so she plans to court and marry the game's final boss, the Demon King. Their relationship is hilarious and adorable, this anime is just chaos but in a super entertaining way that had me laughing through most of it.

7. The Millionaire Detective - Balance: Unlimited (11 episodes)

I knew I was gonna enjoy this one. Rich boy detective partners with a police officer to solve mysteries and they become friends along the way. What more do I need to say?

8. Kamisama Kiss (25 episodes)

I have no idea why this one wasn't in part 1 or 2 because I love it so much. Mortal girl Nanami has nowhere to go when she meets a man called Mikage who gives her his home. His home turns out to be a shrine and he turns out to be the Land God, but funny story he passed that onto Nanami. She forms a contract with fox spirit Tomoe who is less than thrilled about it, and they manage the shrine and Nanami's new godly duties together. The romance is 20/10 I love Nanami and Tomoe my precious little grumpy sunshine pairing.

9. The Case Study of Vanitas (24 episodes)

Okay but what crack did they put in this for it to be so good. I feel like vampire animes are either really good or kinda terrible, but I loved this one. I cannot even attempt to sum up the world and plot here but basically, a vampire and a human with special powers (and a hatred for vampires really) work together to protect Paris from bad vampires. Vanitas and Noe have my whole heart, their interactions are what makes this anime so great for me. The animation style is also lovely and it's set in Paris so that's a win for me.

10. Blue lock (24 episodes, I think we are getting an s2?)

I don't even like soccer so why do I love this anime sm? Based on this gif, y'all can tell who my favourite is. Basically, Japan is like we need a crazy good soccer team so they take the most promising candidates and they enter blue lock, a training and competition program where they basically sleep, eat, and breathe soccer. If you fail in blue lock, you basically have to give up soccer forever. If you are a fan of any other sports anime, I think you'll like this one too.

11. Sugar Apple Fairy Tail (12 episodes, will be getting a S2)

I am watching so many anime this season and so far this one is so comforting? It's not a necessarily comforting story but it just makes me feel comfy if that makes sense. I can also be convinced to watch an anime very easily if there is a pretty/mean fairy boy. Fantasy romance anime about a girl who makes sugar art and a pretty fairy boy who is along for the ride (mans is whipped istg).

Anime recommendations pt2!

Since the first list (here!) did super well I thought I’d share some of my other favourite animes. I hope you can find some new animes to watch or see some of your favourites here! Please feel free so send me any recommendations, I’m always down to check out some new anime. In no particular order, let’s get started!

1. Free! (37 episodes, will be more)

This was my first sports anime and it’s just so pure. It follows a highschool swim team, focusing on their lives during the past and present. I love all of the characters and how each season touches on different points in the characters lives. It gets much deeper than I expected from a swimming anime. Overall, it’s one of my favourites and I highly recommend it.

2. Magi (50 episodes)

Where to even begin with this one? If you are looking for an intermediate length fantasy anime with loveable characters and modeled after 1001 Arabian Night, this one is for you. I truly loved the magic system and the magic in general in this show.

3. Erased (12 episodes)

WOW okay I love this one so much. I don’t wanna spoil too much with this summary because this had anime has lots of twists and surprises! Basically our protagonist Saturo Fujinuma is sent 18 years into the past to prevent the death and abduction of his classmate Kayo while protecting his loved ones in the present. This anime had me hooked, I binged the entire 12 episodes in one night and then rewatched it immediately with my roommate. If you are craving a murder mystery to keep you on the edge of your seat, this one is for you.

4. Death Note (37 episodes)

This is an anime classic and no one can tell me otherwise. If you aren’t familiar with death note, it follows Light Yagami who acquires a special notebook that grants him the power of life and death. If you are looking for a darker anime that keeps you on your toes, highly recommend.

5. Maid Sama (26 episodes)

A shoujo classic! Basically Misaki is the student body present at a school known for its delinquent boys and keeps them in check, butttt Misaki’s family is poor so she works at a maid cafe. One day one of the boys at school, Usui, finds out she works there and shenanigans and romance ensues. If you are looking for a funny and cute romance I recommend this one.

6. Owari no seraph (24 episodes)

I am weakkkkk for the light and dark hair protagonists. Usually I am not one for vampire anime but I did really enjoy this one. It’s basically the vampires against mankind in an all out war, complete with great action scenes and animation following two childhood friends. This has fight scenes, cool weapons, interesting story lines, and a sprinkle of politics to keep you entertained.

7. Assassination Classroom (47 episodes)

A class of middle schoolers tasked with assassinating an alien threatening to destroy the planet? Count me in. The basic premise is this rando alien dude threatens to destroy the earth in a year if this group my middle schoolers doesn’t kill him by then, and he becomes their teacher for the year? It sounds whacky but the characters are really fun and watching their growth makes it a fantastic anime. Did I shed a few tears at the end? Yes, yes I did.

8. Seven Deadly Sins (on-going, 72 episodes)

At first, I tried this anime and I didn’t really love it, but I gave it another chance and what a great decision that was. It starts out in a fantasy world filled with magic and knights, focused on the legendary group of knights and how they betrayed the capital and the story just evolves from there. Honestly the magic and fight scenes are super cool and I gotta say I have a soft spot for the characters.

9. Jujustsu Kaisen (24 episodes)

I think everyone and their mother has heard of this one or at least seen Gojo everywhere on social media. The fights scenes, the characters, the magic system, all absolutely insane. I kinda went in knowing nothing other than that facts that Gojo was hot. If you are looking for awesome fight scenes I highly recommend.

10. Anonhana: The Flower We Saw That Day (11 episodes)

Well this one actually broke me. When I say I sobbed at the ending, I mean I SOBBED. This short anime is so heartbreaking, I didn’t realize how much I was enjoying it until the end hit me like a ton of bricks. This anime focuses on a group of students who lost a friend during their childhood and have since drifted apart. Suddenly the ghost of their dead friend is back and haunting the main character, bringing the group back together to help put their lost friend to rest. Just get your tissues ready.

11. Banana Fish (24 episodes)

Speaking of anime that broke me.... this one hurt so bad. This anime come with a lot of triggers warnings for disturbing themes and violence so pleased be advised if that makes you uncomfy! I honestly have no idea how to summarize this one, but it centers around Ash Lynx who is a leader of his own gang in New York City after being taken in by a godfather of the mafia. Ash begins to investigate “banana fish” which is where things take a turn for the worse. Ash meets Eiji, a Japanese photography assistant who is covering American street gangs and their story goes from there. Overall, I loved this one with my whole heart, even if it left me feeling empty inside.

13. Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits (26 episodes)

At first, I was a skeptical about this one but I have to say I ended up loving it. For fans of Kamisama Kiss, Yona of the Dawn and Snow White with the Red Hair, this should be your next watch!! The characters are what make this show as amazing as it is. This show follows our main protagonist Aoi who has always been able to see spirits from the Hidden Realm, known as ayakashi. Her grandfather had the same ability and when he passes away Aoi is left to pay off his debt to the “Master InnKeeper” in the Hidden Realm. The romance in this series is present and really cute, but it mostly centers around Aoi and the ayakashi she meets.

13. Sk8 The Infinity (13 episodes)

This one aired last winter season and I fell in love. The animation, the characters, the storyline, a 10/10. The story starts off so simply with Langa moving to Japan and meeting Reki who teaches him to skateboard. Based on the gif above.... you know this one is fruity and we are absolutely here for it. Renga is one of the cutest pairings I’ve seen in a long time and I just love them to bits. I recommend the dub for this one, its hilarious and the voice actors seems to be having a great time with it. (psst!! if ur looking for a good Renga fic after watching sk8 I recommend (the first time) he kissed a boy by @buzzcutseasonart (buzzcut__season on ao3))

Hi Anon! I’m glad you liked ao haru ride (if ur craving more the manga is also really cute!). I love shoujo/romance anime so I gotchuuu, honestly one of my fav genres! I hope you like these recs, they are some of my favs!

Fruits Basket (2019) (2 seasons, 48 eps *check, s3 on the way in April!)

This is one of my fav animes of all time, it got a reboot in 2019 and its honestly amazing. The romance is decently slowburn and it has so many cute moments and an amazing cast of characters. Basically its about a girl who ends up living with the Soma family after her mother dies. The Soma family are connected to the Chinese zodiac, so when hugged by the opposite sex they turn into their zodiac animal. It’s adorable and funny and honestly anything you could wish for in an anime.

Snow White with the Red Hair (2 seasons, 24 episodes)

My favourite anime of all time, hands down. Shirayuki and Zen are the most adorable people and the rest of the characters are fantastic as well. I especially love that the female protagonist is smart as hell and independent which is so different from a lot of protagonists in romance anime. This one is a slow burn friends to lovers, I cannot recommend it enough.

Yona of the Dawn (2 seasons, 24 episodes (3 OVAs))

Okay before you watch this one, it is unfinished like ao haru ride. However, the managa is my favourite of all time and I highly recommend watching the anime and continuing with the manga. The relationship between Yona and Hak is honestly my favourite out all the animes I’ve watched. The way Hak teases her but also cares so much and would protect Yona with his life wowwowowo. Plus this series also has a great cast of badass characters, even more so in the manga.

Toradora (25 episodes)

This one is so funny and adorable omg. The male protagonist, Ryuji looks hella mean but is the softest human and Tiga, the female protagonist looks cute but could literally kill you. Also they are in love with each others best friend, but as the show progresses they end up falling for each other. This is a classic rom com anime that is really cute and funny so if you are looking for something lighter this one is really good!

Given (11 episodes plus a movie)

Oh boy where to even start with this one. If you are a fan of music and realistic LGBQT+ representation I highly recommend this one. However get your tissues ready. I feel like I can’t really give a synopsis of this one without giving too much away so I’ll just say, rock band gays and leave it there. Also TW: mentions suicide, pleased be advised if that is something that triggers you!

Orange (13 episodes)

Alright grab the tissues again, this one is SAD. This one follows the Naho, who receives a letter from her self 10 years in the future that is filled with regrets and she hopes that her younger self can correct the mistakes of the past. The letter mention a new transfer student, Kakeru Naruse who Naho has been told to keep an eye on. TW for depression and suicide, if that is something that triggers you please don’t watch! I binged this one in a single sitting, I was hooked from the first episode.

Maid Sama (26 episodes)

Oh man this one is hilarious. It follows Misaki who is the student council president and basically rules over the student body, keeping the delinquent boys of the school in check. Misaki’s family doesn’t have a lot of money, so she works at a maid cafe which she keeps a secret from people at school. You guessed it, the male protagonist, Usui finds out. This one made me laugh every episode and Misaki and Usui’s relationship is so fun, high school me loved this one.

Horimiya (13 episodes, currently airing)

This is a new addition to the list, it’s actually still airing. The animation is gorgeous first of all and second, Miyamura. Honestly seeing him will make you want to watch the show. I knew nothing going into this one and that how I recommend it. It is pretty fast paced as Hori and Miyamura’s relationship develops pretty quickly but I love following their story.

Lovely Complex (24 episodes)

Okay basic start Koizumi is taller than average girls and Ootani is shorter than the average boys. These two form a duo as their crushes fall in love with each other. Koizumi and Ootani’s ridiculous antics make this show super entertaining and I am a sucker for friends to lovers, which these two certainly deliver.

Okay this is far from all of the shoujo/romance animes I’ve watched but I think these few should get you started Anon! I hope you end up enjoying them, I’d love to hear what you think :) Making these rec lists is actually really fun for me so if anyone needs recs I’m so down! My favourite animated shows on Netflix

Hi y’all! Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe☺️ bc uni is soooo stressful I have been coping by rewatching some of my fav cartoons on Netflix and I thought I’d share! It’s a small list so if anyone has any recommendations leave a comment or send me a message!! (I’m not including any animes bc otherwise we would be here all day)

Avatar: The Last Airbender (my literal fav show ever) (3 seasons, 61 episodes)

I can’t even begin to describe how absolutely amazing this show is. I have been doing an annual rewatch of ATLA for just over a decade now, and I love it. I’m pretty sure most people are familiar with the show but for those are you who are not, it is set in a world where people can control the elements and the avatar is the only one that can master all 4 and keeps in the peace in the world. After the fire nation starts a war to basically take over the world, the avatar mysteriously vanishes and is discovered 100 years later by 2 siblings. This follows their journey as the avatar must learn to master all of the elements and bring peace to the world once again. This is a really trash summary but the overall premise, characters, THE SOUND TRACK, and literally aspect of this show is phenomenal and I can’t recommend it enough. If you like this one, the second series Legend of Korra is also amazing, sadly it was taken of Netflix for my region tho.

Voltron: Legendary Defender (8 seasons, 76 episodes)

Giant robotic space lions. That’s the show. Just ur average ragtag squad fighting to protect the galaxy from evil alien invasion... with giant space lions. I went into this show knowing very little and really I think that made me enjoy it more. The characters are fantastic and the world is so much fun. This show made me laugh and cry and cheer, it really deserves all the hype it got when it was airing (maybe not the last season tho.. don’t come for me plz). The fights scenes were so sick and this show was just honestly so good plz watch it.

Miraculous Ladybug (77 episodes on Netflix +1 of the movies, on-going)

Oh boy here we go. This cartoon originally aired in France, but got soooo popular that its now dubbed in 5 languages on Netflix. I watched both the English and French versions as French is my second language and it helps to keep my comprehension skills intact (both versions are 👌👌). The show follows 2 high schools students who were chosen to protect Paris from evil. This crime fighting duo work together as Ladybug and Cat Noir, but must keep their identities a secret, even from each other. You can imagine what kind of situations this leads to 😂. This show is so creative and precious, it’s really cute but can also pull at your emotions which really surprised me. The characters are 10/10 and the love fricken square makes you want to pull your hair out but I am sooooo invested at this point. Netflix has the episodes in a really funky or so I suggest reading some Reddit posts or consulting TikTok/youtube to find the best order.

The Dragon Prince (27 episodes, on-going)

Honestly the animation style is what originally drew me to the show, but I stayed for the adorable characters and their adventures. The animation is gorgeous I really enjoy the direction they took the art style for this show! The characters are also sooo cute and everyone has their own little mission or back story, it’s just a fun adventure show with magic and a whole bunch of fun creatures. The very simplified summary is that 2 brothers (princes) end up having to go on adventure to protect the egg of the dragon prince and return it to its mother to bring peace to their land. It kinda ended?? But I think it’s been picked up for a whole ass saga so I highly recommend checking it out.

Pokémon: Indigo league (52 episodes on Netflix, 80 eps total)

Okay this one is a little controversial because I’m pretty sure it’s technically considered anime but this shit was my childhood. Whenever I don’t know what to watch or need something playing in the background I always put on indigo league. It just brings back that nostalgia and I love it so much. If you have not watched this already or are look for a little nostalgia, indigo league is for you.

Hello!! Not strange at all, I love giving anime recommendations! Here are a couple of recs that give me the same vibes as soul eater, w/ either the characters or the overall vibe! I can’t promise you that they will be the same as soul eater, but I super enjoyed all of these! Sorry it’s taken me so long to get back to you, zoom uni is currently kicking my butt.

Assassination classroom (2 seasons, 47 episodes)

I just recently started this one and it gave me very similar vibes. The most basic summary I can give for this one is an alien comes to earth and becomes a teacher and his class of students is tasked with assassinating him.

Demon slayer (26 episodes)

This is one of my fav animes of all time tbh. Some of the characters really remind me of the ones from soul eater and the fight scenes have similar vibes! Also has a bit of the darker vibe similar to soul eater.

Magi and the labyrinth of magic (2 seasons, 50 episodes)

I really have no explanation for this one. The characters are super fun like the ones in soul eater. This was one of the first animes I watched after soul eater so maybe you’ll enjoy it too! I recommending going in knowing nothing!

Fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood (64 episodes)

Also don’t really have an explanation for this one either just that I got similar vibes from both shows. FMAB is a little more mature and complex when compared to soul eater (in my opinion!!) so I suggest giving this one a watch. Its also amazing in general so I highly recommend it to anyone who has not watched it.

Tokyo Ghoul (3 season, 36 episodes)

Darkkkkkk vibes. If you like the dark vibes in soul eater I highly recommend Tokyo ghoul. It is quite a lot darker than soul eater tho, but if thats what you vibe with go for it!

Blue exorcist (2 seasons, 37ish episodes)

Boy goes to school and becomes exorcist. Very similar to the school atmosphere in soul eater. I really enjoyed the characters in this one and the fight scenes were pretty cool.

Rating the anime I’ve watched (and rewatched) during quarantine!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all safe and healthy! I’ve been watching a a few animes while in quarantine so I figured I’d share some of my thoughts about the ones i watched! These are all just personal opinion and taste but I hope you enjoy! If you have any other anime recs for me please comment them, I got some really good ones from my last post here!

Demon Slayer, Rating 10/10

I really loved this one. Technically I started it before quarantine but I did finish it while in quarantine so I’m adding it to this list. I know this anime has so much hype surrounding it and honestly I think it lives up to its hype. It’s filled with action and intrigue and has a really awesome characters. I’m sad that the movie got put on hold bc of COVID but I’m sure it will also be fantastic. I really recommend this one, a solid 10/10 from me.

Fruits Basket S2 (2020) On-going, but so far Rating 10/10

I may be a little bias with this one bc I love fruits basket but so far season 2 has far exceed my expectations! I’m really glad that they came back for a season 2. This season has simultaneous made me so freaking happy, but then ready to ball my eyes out, sometimes even in the same episode. If you haven’t watched this anime yet, I high recommend.

Hunter x Hunter (2011), Rating: 10000/10

SO as you can see above, I really loved hunter x hunter. It made it’s way onto my favourites list almost immediately with its loveable characters and really interesting storyline. The friendship between Killua and Gon was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in anime and the rest of the characters were just as entertaining. The only downside of this anime for me was that there wasn’t more episodes.

Naruto, Rating 100/10

This one was a rewatch for me and it was as fantastic as I remember. When I watched Naruto for the first time I never actually finished shippuden for some reason but now I’ve finally seen it all and I loved it. The characters are really what made this show super enjoyable for me (and the fact that its about ninjas bc thats cool af). All in all, I would recommend naruto to anyone willing to commit to over 700 episodes, and trust me its worth it.

Fire Force, Rating 8/10*

Okay this one has been all over my dashboard and fyp so I knew I had to give it a watch. I really enjoyed the fight scenes in this anime and the storyline was also really intriguing. I’m still watching this one but I wanted to include it anyway!

Hiiro No Kakera, Rating 5/10

Okay so at one point during quarantine, I really just wanted to watch shoujo anime so I decided to give this one a try bc I didn’t really know anything about it. Honestly, I didn’t really love it. The plot was interesting but the fight scenes were kinda subpar and over in like 3 seconds (even tho ik its shoujo and the fight scenes shouldn't really be my main focus). I didn’t really love any of the characters and I think that may have been why I didn’t rank this one very high and the romance was kinda eh. Overall, it was not terrible but definitely did not make it onto my list of favourites.

Given, Rating 10/10

Another popular anime all over my dash and fyp I knew I had to watch and it did not disappoint. This anime was so sweet and heart breaking. The LGBTQ+ representation in this anime was really nice to see and I genuinely enjoyed watching all of the romances unfold. Also for anyone who watched this, Mafuyu’s song broke me. I watched this anime all in one sitting so if you are looking for a fantastic short anime, I highly recommend.

Vampire Knight, Rating 7/10

This one was also included in my shoujo binge. Honestly, I enjoyed this one. The plot was generic and kinda predictable but tbh I think I mostly gave this a higher rating for Zero. I am so weak for the grouchy troubled characters who are also hella caring. Yuki and Zero’s relationship was what made me enjoy this anime as much as I did but the rest of it was kinda uninteresting. Cross was also hilarious and I really enjoyed his character.

Anime Recommendations!

Hi everyone, I hope y’all are safe and happy! With quarantine still in place (at least in my country), I’m gonna keep the random rec lists coming! I’ve been watching a lotttt of animes and rewatching favourites, so I thought I’d share some of my favourites of all time! A lot of them are pretty mainstream, but for my friends who aren’t really into anime, these will get you hooked! In no particular order, let’s get started!

1. Snow White with the Red Hair, 24 episodes

This is hands down my favourite anime of all time. This shoujo anime make me feel so happy and it’s so wholesome, honestly such a feel good anime. Without spoiling too much, it’s about a herbalist named Shirayuki who ends up having to flee her home country and ends up meeting Prince Zen and goes to live in his country. The cast of characters in the anime is so good, there’s not a character to dislike. The genuine build up of friendship and eventual romance is just so sweet please watch.

2. Demon slayer (26 episodes)

One of the best anime I’ve watched this past year. This anime has amazing plot, awesome animation and a great cast of characters. This anime follows Tanjiro as he becomes a demon slayer after a demon killed his family. Tanjiro and his sister, Nezuko were the only survivors but Nezuko was turned in a demon and now Tanjiro is on a journey to change he back into a human. If you are into anime with amazing fight scenes, I highly recommend.

3. Hunter x Hunter (148 episodes)

I am currently watching this anime and it honestly made it onto my lists of favourite anime super quickly. The series starts with Gon and his quest to become a pro hunter and find his dad and goes on from there. With so many episodes and arcs, you can’t stop watching. The characters immediately hooked me on this show, Killua and Gon’s friendship is one of the sweetest things I’ve ever seen in anime, I literally want to adopt both of them. This anime is so heartwarming but also kinda dark and action packed.

4. Haikyuu!! (73 episodes, on-going)

My favourite sports anime my god. Haikyuu follows a high school volleyball team as they try to make it to nationals. This series made me so much more emotional than I thought it would, but you get so involved with the team and characters and want them to succeed. All of the characters from all of the teams are also fantastic and hilarious. If you need a fun but exciting anime, please please please watch Haikyuu!!

5. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (64 episodes)

Where to even begin. I would say this is one of the most popular anime and for good freaking reason. Without giving too much away, this anime follows brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric as they go on a quest to get their bodies back. Honestly this is one of my fav animes, if you like awesome fight scenes and really intriguing plot, you will love this anime.

6. Yona of the Dawn (24 episodes)

Another amazing anime but sadly, unfinished. I think this anime is best to watch w/o knowing very much. Just know that there is really good characters and character development and a very attractive love interest :))))

7. Soul eater (51 episodes)

One of the first animes I ever watched and as I remember it’s hella awesome, if you like halloween then the whole atmosphere of this anime will intrigue you. The fight scenes in this are really fun and so are the characters. If you need a fun medium length anime, I would recommend this one!

8. Inuyasha (193 episodes)

This anime is worth all the hype in my opinion. The plot was great, the characters are fantastic and romance is so freaking cute I can’t. I’m also a sucker for asshole characters who are secretly really sweet.

9. Fruits Basket (2019) (25 episodes (S1), S2 on-going)

This is the cutest anime. The whole cast characters is amazing and you get so attached so fast. The protagonist is so sweet and optimistic and I really just wanna protect her. I went into this knowing next nothing and I think that’s the best way to do it. The 2001 version is good too but 2019 has better animation and is closer to managa (and has more episodes!).

10. My Hero Academia (88 episodes, on-going)

I love this anime with my whole heart. There is an adorable cast of characters and amazing fight scenes, I love this sm. It’s set in a world where like 95% of the population has ‘quirks’ which are basically super powers but not all of them are super powerful. Super heroes protect cities and the anime follows a high school where the students are training to become heroes. The main character is born without a quirk but through some crazy circumstances he ends up acquiring one. In my opinion this anime is worth the hype.

11. Ouran Highschool Host Club (26 episodes)

This one is wild. Ouran Highschool Host club is so iconic and it’s hilarious, I laughed out loud watching this one so much. Honestly I went into this knowing nothing and I think its funnier that way.

12. Yuri!!! On Ice (13 episodes)

THIS ANIME. The first sports anime w/ canon LGBTQ+ romance and its beautiful. I love the style, the skating, the music, the characters, just everything about it. This follows Yuri Katsuki, a professional figure skater from Japan and his skating career. After messing up a major championship, Yuri is lost and doesn’t know what to do w/ his career. After seeing a video of Yuri skate, his idol Victor, a skating legend, shows up to be his coach. Please watch this anime.

13. Attack on Titan (62 episodes, on-going)

If you are looking for a badass action anime this is the one for you. Humanity has fallen to the mercy of giant man-eating titans, and the people that survived live within a walled city to keep the titans out. This anime is a little disturbing and violent but it is so badass. Also Levi, the most badass character ever, makes this entire anime worth watching.

14. Ao Haru Ride (12 episodes)

Hands down my favourite romance anime. This anime is so freaking cute and it gave me so many fuzzy feelings. The animation is also super nice so that is always a plus. It follows Futaba and Kou who liked each other in middle school but were separated. They meet again in high school but they have both changed so much. If you want a romance anime I really recommend this one.

15. Naruto (720 episodes)

This is a freaking classic and really long. Almost everyone and their mother has heard of this anime or watched some of it before. Basically it’s about ninjas and follows mainly Naruto Uzumaki who want to eventually be the leader of his village but his ninja skills need a lot of work. I honestly didn’t think I would love this anime as much as I did but its just so good. It is a very big commitment to finish though so be prepared.

16. Your Lie in April (22 episodes)

Well this anime is literally beautiful. It is centered around 2 teens w/ major musical talent. It gets deep very fast but its also light hearted and wholesome. This anime made me cry like a baby so get your tissues ready.

Ultimate taekook rec (pt.1??)!

Hello friends! Quarantine has a lot of us stuck inside so I’m gonna try and keep the fic recs comin and hopefully give y’all something to enjoy while we all stay home :) Taekook is one of my fav ships, I think their personalities fit really well and they are such a fun pair. All of these fic are from ao3 and they’re usually a little on the long side but I’ll throw in some short one-shots as well! This will likely be a pt1 bc i have soooo many taekook bookmarks on ao3. Let’s get started! (I have another BTS fic rec here if you would like more things to read!)

Bite Me by Curionenene, YeonAh

Summary: “Ho… Hoseok… my na- Ju-Jung Hoseok. Who— what…?”

On hindsight, maybe it wasn’t the best idea to reveal your name to two lunatics who had fed you something from a blood bag at 11.54 pm in the middle of a quiet, isolated alleyway.

“Hoseok? Nice to meet you, Hoseok. I’m Kim Namjoon, and this is Kim Seokjin. Do you remember what happened to you?”

“I—”

“Seriously. Just tell him like I did you. It’s like pulling off a band-aid, better fast than slow.”

A heavy sigh was Namjoon’s response to Seokjin’s interjection. “I think this is a bad idea, but alright. Hoseok, you nearly… well… you did die. I saved your life the only way I could. By turning you into a vampire.”

On hindsight, maybe it was a really, really, really bad idea.

One unfortunate near-death later, Hoseok finds out a few things: One, vampires are real. Two, they don’t sparkle. Three, a war is brewing and he’s landed in the middle of it.

okay so I love this fic to the ends of the earth and back. It starts out as Hoseok centred when he is turned into a vampire but then starts to focus on other characters and storylines as well. The Taekook in this is very slow burn but seeing the evolution of their relationship killed me. This fic reads like a full ass novel and I highly highly recommend giving it a read.

Yoongi drops the noodles on the floor with a loud curse as he burns his hand.

Or, Taehyung’s been trying his hardest to avoid Yoongi’s criminal life for a long ass time, but a cute kid and his infuriating father keep pulling him deeper into the mix.

Mob boss JK but soft mob boss with his son I cannotttt. Watching the evolution of Tae and JK’s relationship was hella cute and fun. Also taekook with kids is just so soft omggg.

This one is also hilarious omg. Tae getting his dick pierced was never something I thought I would read but here we are. Warning, this has a lot of smut so if that’s not your thing don’t read.

You’re So Special by miniimin

Summary: Sometimes you find your soulmate in the form of a dirty kid on the playground. Sometimes it takes a little longer to figure it out, but that’s okay - in the meantime, you have a best friend.

(Or: Jeongguk falls in love before he knows what the word means. Taehyung spends all his years teaching him.)

This is one of the absolute sweetest fics I have ever read. It follows Tae and Kook as they grow up from little kids to uni and its so sweet. If u want something wholesome and makes u feel things, read this.

This one is longgggggg. Basically JK tutors Tae and everything progresses from there. Honestly this fic has a lot of elements to it and I really just love it. It deals with a lot of different themes like child abuse, panic attacks, and many other things so if any of that upsets you, this fic may not be done for you. The entire series is is really cute tho plz read.

Summary: Where there is love, there is warmth. Where there is honesty, there is relief.

In which Taehyung eats a magical fortune cookie and wakes up physically dependent on Jeongguk’s body heat.

A canon compliant fic rec and boi is it will written. Basically tae becomes dependent on JK’s body heat which ik sounds weird but its a really goof fic trust.

Summary: For as long as Jeongguk can remember (and even before that too), his body has been on fire.

Same author as the fic above and just as amazing. Not canon compliant this time and this now JK has problems w/ body heat. Hella recommend this author is fantastic.

Dogs Days by vestals

Summary: Chopa the corgi needs to be sent to dog school, and it just so happens that his trainer is, in Kim Taehyung's opinion, the finest man out there.

Too bad he's already got a boyfriend.

Okay so this one I was skeptical to read but I’m real happy I did. This fic was sooo good, the build up was killer and I really enjoyed it. There is quite a bit of smut in this one, you have been warned.

Summary: "The sound of the crowd screaming is deafening. After four years, he should be used to it, but today he needs silence more than ever. Still, Taehyung smiles, because if there's something he's learned how to do is smiling even when he feels like dying."

Or the one where Jungkook gets a girlfriend and Taehyung can't cope.

This one hurttttttttt. If you are in the mood for some angst and sadness here is the fic for you. Happy ending tho and honestly it’s a really good fic. Also the yoomin spinoff is *chef’s kiss*.

Summary: Jungkook is painfully shy and he wants to do things with his boyfriend Taehyung.

(Or: the kind of slow burn you never knew you needed.)

AWWW this one is the sweetest omgggg. This brings an entirely new meaning to slow burn and it is so precious I can’t.

i wanna come put your lips on mine by locks

Summary: Taehyung glances over at him and with the light hitting the side of his face, throwing shadows over his face, Jeongguk can't bring himself to be that bothered about their date. Sure being alone would have been nice, but he thinks this is nice, too. He's with Taehyung, they got their dinner and movie. Just maybe next time they hopefully won't have his brothers as chaperones.

And when Taehyung puts his head on Jeongguk's shoulder later, he can't bring himself to be that mad at all, actually.

Or, it turns out Taehyung and Jeongguk share the same brothers: Fraternity for Jeongguk, and for Taehyung, well, blood.

This is another sweet fic. JK and Tae trying to date behind Tae’s brother’s backs is kinda hilarious and adorable.

Iwaoi fic rec

So since quarantine started I’ve literally watched Haikyuu like three times oops. Honestly if u haven’t watched it yet, I highly recommend. Anyway, Iwaoi is one of my fav ships so I figured I’d make a fic rec so y’all will have some good reading to enjoy in this time of distance :))

All of these are complete and on ao3. I tend to like the longer or chaptered fics so most of these are like that but a few shorter one shot pieces are listed as well!

One of my first Iwaoi fics and its super sweet and fluffy. I love how Iwa and Oikawa come to realize their feelings it’s just really really cute.

This is a short and sweet fic where Iwaizumi basically confesses his feelings for Oikawa when he’s drunk af. Super cute and funny.

Summary: Hajime is apparently something of a masochist, and as he stares down at the tie-dyed AREA51 T-shirt in his hands, he thinks “I’m totally in love with this asshole, aren't I?”

This is hands down one of my fav Iwaoi fics ever. It feels so realistic to their relationship on the show and it so fluffy but also some angst ugh its just so cute. Basically Oikawa moves in w/ Iwa after he blows up his kitchen and things go from there.

When You Wish Upon a Star by emerald1963

Summary: Hajime has no idea how this situation is even possible, but he’s one hundred percent certain that it’s all Oikawa’s fault. Oikawa blames the aliens.

The Iwaoi body swap fic that this fandom needs, if not the one it deserves.

The Iwaoi body swap AU. Its absolutely adorable as they try and navigate living in each other’s bodies and how they come to understand each other’s feelings just ugh so good.

Kotov Syndrome by valiantarmor

Summary: Corruption is brewing in Seijou's police force. Oikawa Tooru, the captain of Special Investigations, is put onto a case where he cannot afford to fail.But despite his best efforts, not everything goes according to plan.

A standalone fic in the buddycop AU series; reading the others isn't necessary if you'd just like to read this one!

Iwaoi as cops oooo boy. Honestly funny and adorable as you get to see their relationship but also suspenseful and has a great plot. This is a long one too so be prepared to get hooked. The rest of the series is also freaking awesome so I highly recommend reading all of them.

i’m gonna be the man who comes back home to you by baekuugo (insxouts)

Summary: Iwaizumi Hajime is a single father trying to raise a teenager (or three) on his own. He thinks he does pretty okay and things are going great until he meets the Oikawa Tooru (who isn't as great as people think he is, if you ask Iwaizumi) and his life takes a turn for the best worst.

I really love the single parent AU and the author does a really good job of balancing the family relationship and Iwaoi. I just really love this one and its so wholesome but if i remember correctly there’s some angst too, I highly recommend reading.

Summary: In which Iwaizumi Hajime is a junior doctor suffering through his medical rotation, and Dr. Oikawa Tooru is his insufferable mentor. Medical AU.

This fic omgggg. Both Iwa and Oikawa are doctors and ofc oikawa is terrifyingly good. Basically you get so their relationship change as they get closer from working together and supporting each other. A really good read!!

One of my fav Iwaoi fics holyyyyyyy. They start off as just acquaintances and then my weakness, the fake dating AU comes in and omggggg its soooo good. Less angst than many other fake dating fics which was a nice change of pace.

This is such a sweet getting together fic omgg. Basically follows them living in Tokyo and going to uni and omgg its so freaking sweet plz read.

Summary: Tooru is pretty sure he could manage the mating habits of a mosquito. It’s the mating habits of people he can’t seem to get right.

Basically Oikawa has to give up volleyball and becomes a professor but Iwa continues volleyball and the two have drifted apart and their friendship has weakened. THIS IS SO GOOD. This is a long one but man did I fly through it, the author is fantastic!! If you love Iwaoi give this a read.

Hello and welcome back to another Klance rec! Since the last rec was a success I have decided to make another one. I just wanna say a huge thank you to everyone, you were all super sweet and enthusiastic about the last list :)))). For any newcomers, I will link the first rec list here. Without further adieu, lets begin!

One of very first Klance fics!! Klance become roommates and they’re hella cute. Idk what else to say that’s really it.

Summary: “Hello, welcome to Burger King, can I take your order?” And that’s about when it all comes crashing down on him, and like a tidal wave of terrible, Lance realizes, on an emotional level, how truly awful his day was. For no good reason at all other than here’s a human voice – steeped in apathy perhaps, but not overtly antagonistic – and literally all he wants is a little human comfort… he starts sobbing in the Burger King drive-thru.

Keith is a junior in high school just trying to get through working the midnight shift at Burger King when Lance staggers into his life. The course of true love is a freaking disaster.

I laughed my ass off holy. I can picture this happening so vividly it was such a fun read. Plus, high school klance is fricken cute as hell so squishy and fluffy.

Like, as fast it takes Lance to turn his head, that kid was gone.Keith wants to die. The Hot Guy in his bio class was actually listening to him talk about aliens. That's it. He's done. Kill him now. Poor Shiro is just trying to keep his little brother sane.

AGAIN YO. You know how I said oblivious Keith is the best? Whelp embarrassed Keith is also fuckin great. Honestly now that I’m in Uni I relate to this so hard, its really a fun read.

Hearts Don’t Break Around Here by klancekorner

Summary: Lance and Keith have been best friends since first grade. Lance’s brain is always on overdrive and Keith’s blunt, realistic ass can never keep up. They both come to realize that sometimes you can learn a lot about loving yourself by loving someone else.

So this is a longer one, its over 130K but don’t let that deter you please. This fic is so good and everything a friends to lovers klance AU should be. I cannot scream about this fic enough its like a young adult romance novel, honestly I’m shitting its so good.

Hehehehehe grumpy and soft Keith mixed with Lance being Lance. A shorter fic to last one on this list its really sweet and fluffy please enjoy.

Shut Up and Dance With Me by wittyy_name

Summary: Lance and his friends have been regulars at the Altea Dance Studio for years. Not just for classes, but to hang out, practice, and spend time with good people who love dancing. Every year, they audition to be one of the few representing Altea at the regional dance competition. Lance always auditions solo, but this year he misses out on auditions and blows his chance to participate. And so does his self-proclaimed rival, Keith. Luckily, Shiro comes up with a brilliant plan: convince Lance and Keith to audition as a duo. With a little convincing, and a lot of effort, these two might just be able to pull it off and go to regionals... or they might crash and burn.

This fic is the real deal holy crap. wittyy_name my god istg one of the best klance writers out there. The relationship built up from enemies to lovers and the sexual tension omg this fic is a masterpiece js. I cannot stress enough read anything klance by wittyy_name and you will be happy. This fic also has art!!!

Summary: “You make it sound like we’re going into battle,” Hunk laughed worriedly on Lance’s other side. “I thought this was like, some kind of carnival.”A chortle bubbled of out Coran’s throat as he slapped his side in amusement. “Some kind of carnival, he says! What an understatement! Allura, I think it’s high time to show the paladins precisely how and where we’re going to be spending the next three days. After you, Princess.”A happy, childlike grin rapidly overtook Allura’s regal professionalism, and then a brilliant chink of light shone into the castle hall as she opened the front doors to the mountain they’d landed on twenty minutes ago.Lance went slack-jawed as his eyes adjusted to the white-blue light of Krossin’s distant neutron star, and he almost stumbled as he and the other paladins followed Allura and Coran out onto the grass to take in the view laid out before them. This place was a utopia.

This is a more recently written klance fic in comparison to some others on this list but oh man. Basically klance being all cute out on a date on an alien planet. The build up omg and fluffffff I was squealing.

Red is the Coldest Color by EnglishCivilWar

Summary: Keith’s startled look had quickly turned to one of annoyance. “You’re in my way,” he stated. Lance blinked uncomprehendingly. Keith let out a groan. “Lance, MOVE.”(In which Lance is an epic fail at flirting, Keith is an oblivious walnut, and the rest of the team collectively groans and sighs.)

Oblivious Keith is back kids!!

Love Bug by Cour104

Summary: While exploring an alien planet, Lance get's bit by a strange bug whose venom causes him to fall in love with the first person he sees. Of course that person had to be Keith. I've seen a lot of fics based the Love Bug AU where Keith is bitten by the bug and I thought: What if Lance is bitten?

Literally out of all of the fics I’ve read about klance and the lovebug AU this one wins. It’s almost always Keith that gets bitten but I really loved reading the story from a POV of Lance being bitten it was great.

Summary: “Oh my god, Keeeith,” Lance wheezed. “Keith you’re the best drunk space cadet I’ve ever seen.”“Space cadet,” Keith mumbled. He repeated the words again although his eyes had zeroed in on Lance’s hands and Lance offered no resistance when Keith picked one of them up and pulled it possessively towards his lap. He began to gently trace over Lance’s fingers, sending shivers up Lance’s arm and down his spine. “You have looong fingers,” Keith murmured after a few moments.Keith’s face perked up then, as if he’d just had a brilliant idea, and Lance could almost not wait to hear what new obscure thought had entered Keith’s pretty head. He was prepared to laugh, and instead found himself shivering again as Keith leaned far into his personal bubble, lips practically touching Lance’s ear when he spoke next.“I bet you could reach all kinds of things, Lance.”

Klance and a kid oh my god. Watching the teenage versions of klance deal with a child was so pure and their reaction to them being married in the future, priceless.

Summary: Keith and Lance wake up married. In the future. He lays there a moment, processing the faint throbbing in his head, a strange bitter taste like lemons in his mouth. When he opens his eyes, the room spins wildly into a kaleidoscope of colors, so he closes them again, breathing in and out until he feels less like he might throw up. He suddenly registers a warm weight over his waist, and lifts his head to see a brown arm thrown over him. It looks startlingly familiar, but different, bigger than he remembers, more toned. Keith turns all the way around and comes face to face with Lance sleepily blinking his own eyes open.

Another future marriage fic. These awkward little beans omg its really cute.

Summary: Keith pinches his eyes shut, slamming the book down again and swiveling to face Lance. “Oh my god,” he groans, standing up and crossing the two feet between them before Lance can get out a word. He grabs Lance’s face between his hands (perhaps a bit rougher than needed, but hey, he’s always wanted to slap Lance’s stupid face) and the last thing he sees is an expression of pure surprise before he leans down and presses his lips against Lance's.It’s a peck, and it lasts a second, and then it’s over. Keith leans back, releasing Lance’s face, and hisses, “There.”

Cute and short fic basically just klance kissing with some feelings involved. The summary really says it all.
