You and I
Gazing the starry sky
In our little space
My reddened cheeks, feeling shy
You pepper kisses on my face
Wrapped in your warm embrace
In fiery passion, the night goes by
Between the four walls, our little place
My lover, ever so sly
Whose love I can never deny.

That moment Byron gets his ass kicked by a brainwashed Victoria hits different when you read his interlude.
There’s a moment where he goes to grapple with Victoria, but the moment he tries to go for a headlock, he panics and backs off.
Sure enough, we learn that he nearly strangled Tristan to death, which lead to the trigger event in the first place. It’s like if Victoria was summoned to a basketball dimension or Taylor hit by the smell of old blood.

[image description: a section “an oresteia”, translated by anne carson. the text is as follows, “orestes- the ghastly goddesses—they’ll send my wits astray. / pylades- i’ll take care of you. / orestes- it’s rotten work. / pylades- not to me. not if it’s you. / orestes- beware the contagion of maddness. / pylades- come now. / orestes- you won’t shrink back? / pylades- a friend does not shrink back. / orestes- then let’s go. / pylades- let’s go.” end description.]

“nauseatingly miserable beyond repair” — with kafka’s heart-wrenching yet resonating quote, i once again fell in love with words, after the year long depression which left me in an abyss of hopelessness and misanthropy.
words. purely words. the words that bled through papers, as the heart of the writer bleeds without a momentary pause. the words that put one’s unique story and often, battles into tangible descriptions.
until peace and comfort tape all the shattered pieces of me together, i will, perhaps, continue to tell the world i am not yet defeated while floatation on this constantly storm-strucking ocean is possible.

To the one who dance in the living room to no music. To the one who stands infront of the mirror and doesn't recognize theirself. To the one who watch the birds fly whole heartedly. To the one who smiles to themself when they see the child help their elder hold the bags. To the one who touch the trees and grass with their bare hands and feet and think 'yes life is worth living'. I know what you are. You are one of those to enjoy life at every moment without waiting for tomorrow to be the day you would laugh. That you would be better. You're growing as the atoms move with you. You are one of crazy and odd but it's beautiful. But the beautiful things always disappear. Yet You are now.

Etymology time:
What in tarnation?
This goes back to 19th Century America—Mark Twain Times, you might call it. Over in England they were having Victorian Times; we didn’t have Queen Victoria, but we did get similarly squeamish, except instead of being uptight a lot of Americans were a bunch of goofballs about it, purposely mispronouncing/misspelling words. This was when people started using Darn in place of Damn, but that was just the verb—the expression What In Damnation became What In Darnation. So where did the T come from? Most likely it was influenced by another Humorous Corruption, the word Eternal (at the time used as an intensifier, as in “you are an eternal fool”) turning into Tarnal (“you tarnal fool”). What In Tarnation, as far as we can tell, is a purposeful mispronunciation of What In Eternal Darnation

the thing is: when a tree so close to your heart in the garden starts to rot, you get saddened over it. but you wouldn't let that sadness stop you from taking care of other plants on that same garden of yours. no matter how recently you have planted it, you would still water those flowers and carve some of your time out for them. what i mean to say is: this garden is your life and the rotting tree, your one dear friendship or perhaps the relationship. don't let the sadness, the heartbreak of one fading bond take you away from your other precious connections that you nurtured so dearly with your own heart once. the one real thing you thought you ever knew might leave you stranded, but the others, if given the chance might guide you back. take your time to deal with the grief but midst the process, don't completely abandon them. they might be the real real thing you have ever known.
