Im late for sinday but if its okay is zemo a top or a bottom?

My usual headcanon disclaimer: this headcanon is specifically about the Zemo I RP here, which in this case is very different from how I write him in fic or other things, and naturally may differ dramatically from how others interpret him.

With that said!

I write Zemo here as a top-leaning switch. He feels a certain loss of control as a bottom that (in all threads it's occurred in so far) has not gone well for him. Similarly, I write him as more dom-leaning. It isn't that he isn't or cannot be submissive, but it tends to require a pretty intense amount of trust for his headspace to accommodate.

He has a tendency to dissociate a bit when he's in a position to be a bottom and doesn't feel wholly secure in it.

Was thinking of Bucky and Zemo dating which would include:

visiting cities around the world. Bucky has seen them all already, but only while working as the WS. Zemo is a walking encyclopedia and guides Bucky through each place

lasergame fights on saturday nights™

walking around aimlessly just for the sake of being together

going to museums, churches and stuff. Zemo loves art more than anything else, Bucky loves to see how Zemo's eyes shine so bright in front of a Canova or a Brunelleschi

Movies, lots of them. Snuggling up on the bed with netflix (it took a while for both of them to understand how streaming services work lol)

Shopping: Zemo, the fashion addict, will buy clothes for Bucky. Bucky gets used to it and even develops a personal style

They finally move in together in a brand new house and unpacking feels like a date and a scavenger hunt. Different design choices lead to the house looking pretty weird.

Holidays are not dates, but Christmas and Halloween decors won't hang themselves so they spend the whole day working around the house. Bucky has become so passionate about music that he's made the playlists (zemo bought spotify premium for him)

None of them knew how they had ended up in that situation. Between one game of Sabacc and a shot of Merenzane Gold - courtesy of the Galactic Baron himself -, the three of them took the enthusiastic chat directly to Wilson’s ship - the red Falcon - and, while they were sitting in the cockpit, the pilot looked confused. Why in the name of the stars was he, a respectable Republic pilot, giving a ride to a convicted space gangster and his pet psychopath? Oh, right, because said gangster and pet were his best friends. And he had decided to visit them after a very angry holocall from his old flying partner. Bucky Barnes came first into his life as an acquaintance. Since he was Steve Rogers’ childhood friend - both of them grew in the streets of Coruscant -, the two of them got along pretty quickly and it didn’t take much from Sam to empathize with the older man’s sad backstory. When Steve was gone, Sam and Bucky had a hard time dealing with grief and rebuilding their friendship seemed like a plan for the future. However, the Rebellion needed them to regroup and go back to their missions together as soon as possible - there wasn’t much time to deal with their personal feelings about the passing of their best friend. One mission later, they were already back on tracks, more close than ever. Zemo joining them was… a little bit weirder. Baron Helmut Zemo was famous for his money and contacts - he wasn’t an ally or an enemy, but someone willing to help as long as he got what he wanted in the end. They could use someone with money and somewhere safe to land and take care of the Falcon. In some desperate time, they asked for his help and Helmut obliged - but not without a price. He wanted to seek revenge against the Empire for that fall of his home planet, Alderaan. They wanted to destroy the Empire. It seemed like a logic alliance to be made at the time. Sure, things got weird when Bucky and Zemo started developing feelings for each other and Barnes left the rebellion to join Zemo, but who was Sam to judge? He wanted to see his friend happy and if it was with some widowed space gangster, so be it. Of course he would keep an eye on the baron just to make sure that he wasn’t hurting Bucky but… they were somewhat solid with each other. He tried to keep contact as much as he could but it wasn’t easy since he never knew where Zemo’s ship would be next, but they tried their best. “O32-N1K got us more drinks…”, Zemo’s voice appeared behind them, while the old-fashioned Droid followed him, holding a tray with three cups filled with the golden liquor. “I shouldn’t be drinking that much, I am the designated driver, after all…”, started Sam, receiving glares from Zemo and Bucky at the same time. Shit, they really were one at this point. “What is the rush, my dear Wilson? Let’s enjoy the night, rest and leave in the morning”, said Zemo, with a small chuckle. He didn’t wanted Sam to leave so early. He knew that Bucky missed his best friend and it was good for his husband to chill a bit. Even though they were together for a few years already, he knew that Bucky missed the battlefield action. Barnes was a soldier, he was a royalty. Nothing would change that - not even war, his extinct planet or their marriage. “Also, you promised me that you would try to talk to Karli about the Republic Army. They won’t forgive me if I let you leave without talking to them about it”, said Bucky. It still felt weird talking about the teenager with so much care - in the past, the gingerhead gave them trouble, now, they were his adoptive kid (another courtesy from Zemo who had only two passions in his life: his growing new family and his shady business across the galaxy). The pilot heavily sighed. Yes. He had promised Morgenthau that he would talk to them about their future. The kid wanted to be a pilot since they were a child and he clearly didn’t help taking them to fly with him every time he visited Bucky and Zemo. “Fine, I’ll stay for the night. But only for Karli. And if I hear both of you being weird and moaning, I’ll leave and take the kid and the droid with me”, said Sam, getting laughs from both of his friends.

“We promise we will be quiet, sladkiy”, murmured the Alderaanian, with a soft smile.

I've been sitting on the headcanon that Zemo was the 'wildcard' of the Sokovian Royal family in his early 20s, before he joined the military and settled down. Like he was the one who was caught by the Paparazzi in a Berlin gay, leather club doing things a member of the royal family shouldn't and tried to patch it up by saying 'the camera angle made it look like something was happening that wasn't' or something equally as ridiculous.

Oh yes definitely. That man is the definition of a hedonistic chaotic.

He’d also look very nice in leather if I do so say so… a collar especially 😌

Could easily see a winterbaron AU of young, slutty Zemo happening upon the winter soldier and getting fucked by him in the club, even though the soldier was there to kill some important rich dude. The soldier unable to resist flirty Zemo in leather that doesn’t shy away from his arm or weapons… very relatable really 😉

You’re the son of a baron, what’s that like? Are you also a baron? 

I’m not a baron yet, I’ll inherit the title someday. For me being the son of a baron isn’t that strange since I’ve grown up with it, and most of my friends are also from titled families. I guess the American equivalent would be growing up the son of a senator or a famous actor. Mostly my life is pretty normal... I go to school, hang out with my friends... there’s just some fancy parties and stuff.  

What do you plan to study when you go to college? 

I’m really interested in philosophy... we read some [French philosopher] Jean-Paul Sartre in school, and I just started reading some Machiavelli. It’s really interesting to learn different ways of looking at the world. I also like to study literature and art for the same reason. 

What do you like to do in your free time? 

I love horseback riding... my family has a pretty large stable of horses and I’ve been riding since I was little. I like video games... I play a lot of Tetris on my GameBoy, and a bunch of games on my Sega Genesis. I also like to read and watch tv. 

What’s your favorite TV show? 

We actually watch a lot of American tv in Sokovia, though we get it a few years after it’s aired... we get old sitcoms like Dick Van Dyke and 21 Jumpstreet just started airing here. My guilty pleasure is a Sokovian sitcom called Zrazu Bogatny (Suddenly Rich) about a goatherd who inherits a barony... it’s a lot like the American show The Beverly Hillbillies. 

What’s your favorite band? 

I’m really into Rammstein, Kraftwerk, Die Ärzte... lots of German bands. I also like Depeche Mode and The Cure. I also really like to dance, so I also like techno and anything you can dance to!

Do you have a girlfriend? 

Not right now... but I’d love to find someone special!

Here, have some of my winterbaron headcanons:

Their love is quiet and understated, but also very deep. Both of them feel strongly for the other, but neither are prone to grand gestures or declarations.

When they have downtime, they like to spend it reading and listening to music. Other things they enjoy doing together include cooking, going for walks, and talking. They aren't big TV/movie people and they tend to stay close to home unless they're on a mission--wherever "home" may be at the time for them.

They have a very healthy sex life. It's always either the most intense, passionate, intimate lovemaking ever, or super kinky and raunchy--no in betweens.

1.  Bucky would always make Zemo tea when he has the chance, it was like his routine.

2. The two would often talk about their childhood and past, but half the time it would be Zemo as Bucky didn’t want to remember hydra.

3. Zemo is still very hesitant of being with Bucky, scared to lose him like he did his wife and son. 

4. The two would often slow dance in the house and talk about random things.

5. bucky often wondered how Zemo is mentally after his family died but he doesn’t want to ask as he doesn’t want to cause pain.

6. When Bucky would have his nightmares, Zemo would often cradle him and sing him to sleep.

7. The two still roast each other, they would always have a roast war between the two where Sam had to get them to be apart for the entire day.

8. Bucky only shows his hurt side to Zemo, as Zemo is the only one that can understand or at least try too.

9. Bucky thought of proposing to Zemo once but pushed that thought away thinking it was too soon or that he would be rejected.

10. Zemo is also very clingy and soft always trying to stay by Bucky.

Hello everyone how about Zemo and Bucky having the biggest weapon kink ever.

Bucky is cleaning his guns and rifles, unassembling the pieces and cleaning each one of them with absolute care and something close to love. And not gonna lie, Zemo sees the ghost of the Winter Soldier as Bucky's eyes and fingers dance across the shining metal, touching, almost adoring each piece.

But it's just James there and his full consciousness of what those weapons could do in his hands, it's a sacred fear, and keeping them close helps him to feel more in control.

Eventually Zemo makes a snarky comment or something, and before he knows it, Bucky has a gun pointed to his head. It's not loaded, anyway.
