Summary: The reader and her boyfriend are having sex and get caught by her brothers.

I don’t like this, I haven’t even read it over….

Y/N had invited her boyfriend over to chill at her house. She knew that her brothers would be home, however they were just going to stay in her room anyways. The holland brothers didn’t know about their relationship, they believed that they were both best friends, like they have been for three years now. Y/n had been dating Jordan for over six months now, they nearly had been caught many times by her family. His family knew they were both together, y/n wasn’t sure why she didn’t tell hers.

Now he had finally arrived, y/n greeting him by the door. “J!” y/n wrapped her arms around the back of his neck, his arms going around her waist.

“Hey b-y/n/n” He spoke, seeing Tom in the kitchen, pulling away and remembering to act like y/n and him were best friends. Y/N closes the door behind him whilst he took his shoes off and hanged his jacket up on the pegs.

Tom looked in his direction seeing his sister and her very close best friend. Tom didn’t mind him, he just knew there must’ve been something going on. Y/N and Jordon were way to close to be best friends, he’s even seen paparazzi pictures of them both out and about. None of it proving they was dating but he knew his sister really liked him.

“Hey Tom” Jordan smiled walking through the kitchen with y/n. He knew the brothers a little bit, due to him coming around a lot. Nikki always counted him as part of the family.

“Hey, Jordan. How you been?” Tom asked, them both starting up a little conversation, it eventually ending when y/n motioned for Jordan to come up the stairs to her room. “I’ll catch you up later mate” Tom spoke realising the time, him and the brothers planned to go to the pub whilst their parents were away.

“Y/n i’m going pub with the others, i’ll be back late at night. Love you!” Tom shouted as she stood on the stairs waiting. “Okay, love you too” Y/n smiled as he walked over to the door. She quickly grabbed Jordan’s arm, hearing the front door close, bringing him to her room and shut the door.

“In such a rush to get me into your room” Jordan smirked jokingly, earning a smack in the arm from y/n. “Missed you, Angel” He pulled y/n close to him placing a sweet kiss on her lips. She hummed in satisfaction when she felt his lips on hers.

“Miss you too” She said once there lips pulled apart. “wanna watch a movie?”

Tom had to drive everyone back home that night, him not drinking anything so the rest could have fun. He did have a few drinks but not enough for it not to be safe to drive. He dropped Tuwaine off, driving him, Harrison and his brothers back home. It was 2 in the morning once he had arrived home, parking the car in the driveway. He shushed his brothers, knowing you would be fast asleep by now, probably from boredom.

“Carful!” He snapped at Harrison and Harry who were clumsily taking their shoes off, nearly making him fall over in the process of taking his own off. They both just laughed, too pissed out of there mind needing sleep. “Y/n is asleep you need to be quiet” He told them, Sam joining in the laugh a little.

The boys slowly swayed up the stairs, it being pitch black around the house. All Tom had to do was get Harrison to the guest room and his other brothers to theirs. Harrison on the other hand, had other ideas. Tom heard the noises first, but thought nothing off them.

That was until he heard, “Fuck, Jordan” come from a door. Y/N’s door. That’s where he had heard the noise, he now could clearly hear the small moans and the bed creaking.

Harrison cheekily smirked, hearing the noise from the act in y/n’s room. He quickly barged into the room with the other drunk boys, y/n and Jordan stopping there actions and lifting the covers up more. Y/N was embarrassed but shocked. Now stood there drunk boys, Tom storming into the room as well. But he was sober.

Your eyes widen at the sight of him, “Ooo y/n and Jordan got caught in the act” Harrison teases pissing you both off, making Tom more fuming.

“Wait, wait, your dating?” Harry laughed a little.

This was very awkward for y/n, her boyfriend was literally on top of her, still inside her whilst her brothers and her brothers best friend kept talking. Of course the covers hid both your bodies, it still being really weird.

Sam was next to speak, “Are you still inside of my sister?” He asked a bit mad, clearly he had sobered up a bit. Jordan didn’t know what to say, he just slowly pulled out, luckily the brothers didn’t notice. Jordan rolled off y/n, them both still holding the covers to their chests.

“Can you get out!” Y/N finally shouted, sitting up a little. “Y/N! Your fucking sixteen and your having sex! How long has this been going on for?” Tom yelled at the both of them.

“I’m nearly seventeen-“ Y/n tried to defend yourself, it not leading anywhere. “How fucking long y/n y/m/n Holland!” Now y/n knew Tom was mad, she was in deep shit. He never ever called her by her full name, only when he was proper pissed.

“6months” Y/n tried watch his facial expression to determine how mad he possibly would be.

“YOU’VE BEEN HAVING SEX FOR SIX MONTHS!” Sam shouted.

“No!” You immediately shout.

“Yesss you go girl” Harrison slurred, making y/n and Jordan hold back a laugh. Sam slapped the back of his head, Tom pushing the boys out of her room. “Tom your sister was getting banged for six months” Harrison giggled like a little girl, only wanting to piss Tom off, he didn’t hear your reply after though.

“Get changed, i’ll be back in a minute” Tom stormed out of the room slamming the door. Y/N felt guilty, a bit annoyed at herself, she didn’t really understand why he was so angry though. It’s her life. She’s nearly seventeen and even if she is young he must’ve done it at her age, no?

Y/N and Jordan got changed, Y/N throwing her pjs on and Jordan wearing grey joggers with a white shirt. They waited patiently for Tom to shout at them. The knock making y/n’s heart stop, “Are you decent?” His voice was a lot softer now, he didn’t shout or seem that mad.

“Yeah”

Tom walked in, deciding to stand up than sit on y/n’s bed. He couldn’t get the disgusting thought out of his head, his sister having sex. His baby sister, his only sister. The truth is he was mad a little, however it was mostly because he didn’t like y/n growing up. He remembers the days when he used to catch her sneaking chocolate into her mouth or finding her embarrassingly dancing in her room. Now he catches her having sex with a guy he thought was a very close friend.

“I-I’m sorry Tommy. I promise it hasn’t been going on for six months, w-we’ve——uhh—We’ve been dating for six months” Y/N admits, now the truth was finally out. She felt much better getting it off her chest.

Tom then looked over at Jordan, he really hopes he can trust him. Y/N deserves the world, he wanted her to find an amazing boy. Obviously he didn’t want her to date till 20, he always said that. “We’ve only had sex a couple of times” He said, y/n quickly slapping his chest then hiding her face in embarrassment. Great, she just wanted her brother to know about her sex life.

“Thanks?” Tom asked more like a question, shaking the thought out his brain. “I’m not mad y/n, it’s just I hate seeing you grow up. Yeah it’s not nice walking in on my sister having sex to a guy I thought was her best friend, but you was gonna do it eventually, I mean right? It’s just your young, you got to be carful.” He crouched down to her level, looking at the girl in the face. She has changed a lot, she getting older. He just needs fo accept that.

“You are using protection right?” He asked.

“Mmm not all the time, you see our hands gets to sweaty-“ Y/N tries to joke, looking at the serious look on her brothers face.

“Right, too soon for jokes” She rubs the back of her neck. “Yes. Yes we are. Now can we stop talking about this it’s weird” Y/N smiles at Tom who returns it back.

“I mean now that Jordan is confirmed as your boyfriend, he must want to see the baby album” Tom smirked.

“No, No!”

Not ready for goodbye|t.h.

It was your first day at your new job. You were so excited the day before with your smile lighting every room you stepped into. Your family seemed happy just by looking at your face or hearing your passionate words about your job that you wanted since middle school. You had preparing things all night and especially yourself by speaking wisely and working on interacting with your co-workers.

But the day found you sleeping in your desk tired from the night before and running off your schedule.

You opened your eyes just a little and checked your clock before realizing that you had less than thirty minutes to get ready and got up rushing to your bathroom. You opened the door and crushed with your brother's body.

"Watch where you're going you psycho" Sam told you as he stepped aside to let you in.

"Shut up" you closed the door behind you and grabbed your toothbrush and toothpaste, acting like a maniac while you tried at the same time to make your hair. You got back to your room and thanked yourself for finding your outfit the night before so that you wouldn't have that in mind too. After a few moments you were into a super cute -yet casual- look, your makeup as natural as possible and your bad in your hand.

You quickly got downstairs just so you could say a goodbye to your family.

"Good luck y/n" Paddy said with a huge smile on his face, forcing you to do the same.

"Come sit for a moment. You haven't eat anything"

"No mum thanks but I'm already late and it's my first day"you moved closer to her offering a hug to her, her arms squeezing your waist and taking all of your negative thoughts.

"Good luck but I'm sure you don't need it" your other brother Harry shouted from the other room making you laugh just as you were about to leave the house.

"Thanks brother" you replied to him and sprinted to your car as fast as you could.

You tried to remain calm and relaxed, keeping your self busy from all the bad thoughts and scenarios that your mind kept imagining. Maybe there was a reason that you didn't woke up the right time or that you were already 5 minutes late on your first day.

You watched as the light was about to turn red. Your feet on the pedal pushed even harder and your car moved faster than what it was supposed to. At that time the only thing that kept running to your head was your boss and co workers all screaming at you about how irresponsible you are.

And then everything stopped. It was only memories from the past replaying in your head plus some noises from far away screaming words you didn't have the strength to clearly hear them, then you flying away from your seat, cracking noises, loud voices, memories and again the same all over again.

"Where is she?" Tom screamed as he approached his parents, fear painted in his face.

"We have no idea, we just- they told us that-" Harry broke down in tears, his hands came up to his face covering the pain he was feeling. The pain of losing his sister, the girl he loved the most in the world- beside his mother, the girl he spent 9 months side to side, the girl he always fought with, the girl that knew things others didn't.

Tom hugged his brother letting silent tears rolling down his faces throughout the time he tried to stay calm for his family. But how could he when his little sister was inside in a room, not understanding why this happened, or what was the purpose of it.

His parents were all just sitting completely shocked, silent. What if she couldn't make it? What if they lost her already? What if they wouldn't see her smile again? Or dance around the house like she used to? Or hear her laugh louder that anyone in a room, her angelic voice telling them that is gonna be okay? What if they wouldn't hug her again, touch her?

Sam was standing in front of her door, his red eyes looking down, his arms crossed to his chest. He denied everything. It was just a awful nightmare and in any moment he would wake up and look over only to find her sleeping with all of the blankets around her.

"She left the house and she is at work right?" he questioned, all off his family turning to him. "What are we doing here? She is at work. Come on let's go guys" he continued, taking his brothers by their hands.

"Sam" Tom stopped him "Everything is gonna be okay" he squeezed him into his arms.

"She was happy, I remember it. She talked non-stop about her dream coming alive, how she would act, what she would say. She had a plan, she knew and studied every detail. And today she-" Sam sobbed, his whole body shaking."She was in a rush, I called her psycho, she told me to shut up laughing. My mood fixed completely by her, just the sound of her. It was her day today right? I mean it was supposed to be a fucking wonderful day for her.." his brittle voice stopped and he just started crying in his brother's arm.

"I can't say goodbye yet"

It was painful for all of them. They couldn't lose their girl. They had planned to surprise her with a magical dinner at a little cute restaurant just a couple of minutes away from her workplace. They wanted to show their support, to give her just a small taste of what they had been receiving from y/n years now. All of the unconditional love she have for them and how they affected them in different ways.

She was a tough girl as a child, different from the other girls, way more mature for her age, always with a smile on her lips, with good manners, usually dancing or helping her mum, or fighting with her siblings. And her beauty that took everyone's breath away.

There she was at a bed naked with a robe covering her bruises, her scars that she would have for a lifetime, doctors running around her, blood all over her.

And all she could see was black, endless black and her ears receiving voices from far away."Is everything supposed to look this dark?" She wondered.

"I can't feel my body" "Everything hurts" "Help me"

She screamed at the top of her lungs but none of the voices listened or stopped. It was just her and her loneliness.

"I am not ready to say goodbye" she mumbled under her breath feeling her arms touching her body slightly. Her family was waiting for her a couple meters away, yet it felt like miles and she wasn't that strong.

"I love you all"

they always said the best thing come in twos. as a first time parent, not only to one but to twins for my first pregnancy was intimidating slightly scary but I was surrounded by so much love in the village to raise you both in such a welcoming, kind environment. I'll never be a perfect parent but I will do my best to give you two the best you deserve and more .

Boyfriend || Holland brother

Pairing: Holland sister x Tom holland

Summary: y/n is 4 years old and is the only girl in her family, apart from Nikki. One day Tom picks her up from school, seeing she has flowers then he finds out she has a boyfriend. The boys just get protective when he comes over for a play date.

Tom waited outside the gates of your school, he had been wanting to see his little sister all day. It was finally a Friday so he decided to take you out for ice cream once school was finished. As soon as he saw you running over to him, a big smile appeared on his face.

You had your school bag on your back whilst carrying some cute flowers in your hand. They were pink tulips, your favourite.

"Tommy!!!" The 4 year old called running into his big brothers arms.

"Hey princess, how was school?" He asked hugging his sisters small body, then picking her up spinning her around in his arms.

"It was good, we did hand paints today and we sang songs" she told her brother holding his hand once he let her down.

"Did you pick them flowers?" he knew the answer would be yes, as y/n loves picking up flowers when they go on walks with Tessa to the park.

"Nope, my boyfriend gave them to me" she said like it was obvious.

"oh ok-wait your boyfriend!" Tom stood by his car looking down at his baby sister.

"Yeah my boyfriwnd Callum gave them to me. He's coming over today to play" Tom was confused, he didn't even know y/n had a boyfriend, he didn't think she was even talking to boys. The brothers would always tell her she couldn't have any until she was 20 or older.

"You can't have a boyfriend, love. Your too young" He told her whilst getting her into the car seat, making sure she had her seat belt on before getting into the driver seat.

"Mummy said it's okay, she likes him" She told him smelling the flowers that were in her hand.

When Tom arrived home, he had told his brother what their sister told him. All of them going into protective brothers straight away. "She's too young to have a boyfriend!" Sam said.

"What if he hurts her? What if she comes home crying because he thinks another girl is prettier or what if he is mean to her?!" Harry panicked whilst sitting on the coach, minutes after they had heard the doorbell.

"Boys shut up will you, stop going on about it. Callum and Y/n are really cute together it's young love, they don't even understand it properly" Nikki told her sons, going over to the door to open it.

There stood the 4 year old boy, Callum, and his mother. Callum smiled at Nikki before asking where her daughter was. "She's just in her room, Y/N! Callum's here" she called for her daughter, not long after little footsteps where heard coming down the stairs.

Now Callum stood in the living room where all the boys stared at him, looking as if he could hurt their only sister. "Callum" y/n hugged her boyfriend placing a small peck on his lips.

"hey, hey. What are you doing?" Tom stood up pulling them both away from each other.

"Tommy stop. We're gonna go play" y/n pushed her brothers arm off her, grabbing Callum's hand to run into the play room.

Nikki and Callum's mother on the other hand found them both adorable. They've been dating for about a couple of weeks, but they find it so cute. The way they hold hands when walking or the little kisses on the cheeks and now the lips. Two 4 year olds being a couple can be really cute.

"Let me show ywu my room" y/n said holding Callum's hand, taking her into the bedroom. As soon as she opened the door she saw her four brothers sitting in her room. "What are you doing get out!" She yelled at her brothers whining at them all.

"AHAH. I knew this little sucker just wanted to come into the bedroom" Harry pointed at the 4 year old boy who stood innocently.

"That's Hwrry, Tom, Sammy and Paddy" Y/n had told the boy still looking at her four brothers.

"Nice to meet you mate, gonna ask a few questions okay?" Tom said the boy nodding.

"what's your intentions with our sister?" Harry asked. Both the 4 year olds looking clueless as to what he had meant, they didn't even know what the word 'intentions' meant. Callum just shrugged not understanding them at all.

"You just shrug your shoulders. Okay, let's see if you know our sister. What's y/n favourite colour?" Paddy now asked.

"She likes pink" Callum said getting that right.

"Okay well done. Are you ever gonna break our sisters heart?" Sam questioned and Callum shrugged again saying 'I don't know'.

"You don't know! How do you not know, your gonna hurt our sister" Tom said.

"Tommy shut up and stop! Leave us alone" Y/n screamed at her brother walking out the room going downstairs to tell her mum about her brothers behaviour. Once she told her mum, Nikki was not happy with the boys. Y/n found it rude the way they was being mean that she ended up crying.

"Dwnt cry y/n" Callum told her, pulling her in for a cute small hug. The mums hearts warming, whereas the brothers came down the stairs with mad faces, them of course being too overprotective. "I lowve ywu" He said, you could make out what he said but was a bit hard to tell as there still young.

"I lowve you too" y/n smiled wiping her eyes, as Callum kissed her forehead.

Awwwww so cute omgg.

"We better get going now, say bye Callum and thank you" Callum's mum said helping to put his shoes on.

"Bye everyone, thwanks. Bye, bye y/n." He gave y/n one last hug before leaving the house. Y/n saying her goodbyes after. When the door had shut she looked at her brothers walking straight past them to sit on the sofa.

"Boys what's wrong with you. There four years old, go apologise to your sister you idiots" Nikki slapped the back of her four sons heads for them being so silly.

Sighing they all walk over to there sister apologising straight away, "I'm so sorry love" They all said, giving her a kiss on the forehead and a hug.

"We love you so much, we just get a bit protective at sometimes your still our baby sister. Maybe Callum is a nice guy. Forgive us?" Tom told her, she smiled at them all.

"Only if you watch princesses with me?" she smiled up at them, of course they couldn't say no to watching princesses for the rest of the day.

Y/n was sitting in her room playing with her dolls, she had been playing for over an hour now. She picked out cute outfits for each doll, trying to find the best one for her most favourite one. She was very occupied, focusing on nothing but her toys. Well that was until she heard voices from downstairs. Normally she would ignore them and continue to play, however she heard a certain voice that made her sprint down the stairs.

Y/n’s little feet ran down the stairs, carful not to fall over whilst doing so. She knew that voice very well, it being from a person she grew very close with that no one had expected. “Hwrrison!” She shouted, the male being in her full view now as he took his coat off, hanging it up.

Harrison eyes moved over to the young holland that adored him the most. He bent down his arms opening wide. “Y/nnn!” He said in the exact same excited tone that she used.

Once she crashed into his arms he picked her up, spinning her around making the five year old giggle. Y/n cuddled into him, wrapping her tiny legs around his body. “I missed you” She said like she usually would. Y/n would always miss Harrison, she would ask about him all the time to Tom or the other brothers.

“I missed you to my favourite Holland” he placed her down on the floor so he could greet the others, but she wouldn’t let go.

“Oi I heard that!” Harry said walking into the room with Tom who followed behind him. “Y/n let go of him so I can say hi at least” Tom chuckles as his little sister let go of his best friend, him greeting with a bro hug. Tom always wondered when her obsession with Harrison had happened, he even wondered why. Ever since y/n could talk or walk she always went to Harrison loving him more than her actual brothers.

“Hwrrison, I went on my bike ywsterday!” Y/n happily said, jumping up and down.

“Did you?!” Harrison said excited.

“Yes and Tommy helped me to pedal, he taught me what to do” You smiled at Tom. “Wow, that’s so cool. You need to show me one day” Harrison said walking into the kitchen following Tom who pulled out two beers and a juice for y/n.

They both moved into the living room, starting a conversation up as y/n quickly ran up the stairs, coming back down with her favourite blanket. She saw Harrison sitting directly across from Tom, so she climbed up onto the same sofa as him and snuggled into him with her blanket.

“Don’t you wanna cuddle with me?” Tom asked, jealousy bubbling up inside him.

“No, I want Hwrrison” She adverted her eyes to the tv, watching the program that was left on from earlier.

Y/n and the boys stayed in their potions, Harrison’s arm around the girl letting her snuggle into him. This wasn’t new to Harrison, no, he actually fount it quite cute the way his best friends sister would act around him. The way she would always call him off Toms phone or the way she would kiss his cheek when she said goodbye or even when she would help him play fight with the boys.

“Harrison shut up you div” Sam laughed, slapping the boy on the arm. It was later on and the boys were still drinking, just talking about random things with light music in the background.

“Hey! Dwnt hit him!” Y/n snapped suddenly, feeling the need to protect him. She rubbed his arm, which didn’t hurt at all, glaring at Sam who looked at her with certain eyes. “You okay?” The five year old turned her gaze to Haz.

All the boys were too confused to speak. Y/n had always hated it when the boys would joke around with Harrison, being mean to him even though he didn’t mind it as he did it back. Harrison just nodded his head, “I’m fine don’t worry” He smiled at the girl who nodded her head.

“Someone protective” Tom chuckles as Y/n kisses where Sam hit Haz’s arm.

“More like someone has a crush” Harry joined in, laughing at his little sister. He knew it was more than just being obsessed with him, she had to have a crush on him no?

“Watch this, Harrison your so ugly!” Harry joked watching the girls face twitch. “Harrison actually stinks, ewww” Tom laughed and Harrison hid his laugh as the girl sprung up.

“No he not! Your so rude, mummy said you should never say that to anywne! Haz is not ugly, he pretty. And smwll nicely” The girl smelt Harrison, earning a small chuckle from him. Y/n stood up walking over to Harry and Tom. “Your ugly and you stink, not him” She said angrily.

Harrison smirked, “Yeah your ugly and stink” He stuck his tongue out copying the little girls actions. Y/n walked back over to Harrison sitting in his lap to hug him, she kissed his cheek twice before looking at him. “Your pretty Hwrrison” She honestly said.

Harrison kissed her cheek, “Aww, your pretty too y/n” This made the little girl blush, getting off Harrison and giggling, hiding her face in her blanket.

“Y/n has a crush on Harrison!” Sam cheered.

Y/n hid her face in her blanket more embarrassed. She never thought of Harrison like a brother she always liked him, she wouldn’t let anyone be rude to him. “Shut up” The young holland said still hiding her face.

“It’s okay y/n. Sam is just stinks like feet” Harrison laughed and so did she.

“Well Harrison doesn’t shower” Sam called taking a swing of his beer, regretting after as his younger sister got off the sofa mad.

“YES HE DOES!” Y/n shouts bolting to her brother to attack him.

Simu Liu makes his debut as Marvel’s newest superhero in Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings. Liu campaigned for himself to play Shang-Chi in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and was ultimately successful in seeing that goal realized.

Shang-Chi’s story in the Phase 4 film is deeply personal, involving not only involving his immediate family but his relatives as well who hail from another dimension. He and his sister, Xialing (Meng’er Zhang), represent the unification of two very different worlds – and people.

Simu Liu spoke to Screen Rant about his aspirations for playing a Marvel superhero as well as the fact that he loves our Pitch Meeting videos!

Simu Liu: You’re from Screen Rant?

Yeah – Screen Rant.

Simu Liu: Nice! I gotta say – your Pitch [Meeting] videos are my favorite thing to watch in the world. And I know you’re going to do one on this movie, I know it. I’m expecting it. I’m ready for it, personally. They’re just so funny!

To start off, I’d like to talk about the end of the film as well as the credits scene, about how you’re brought in by Wong into the world of the Avengers and the superheroes…

Simu Liu: You’re putting me in a really tough place, man.

Well, does that mean, based on what we see, that we can expect to see you in Doctor Strange 2?

Simu Liu: Man, you are good. You’re good – but unfortunately for you, I’m better! It was an extreme pleasure to be a part of the MCU, and if and when the call comes for me to return to the universe, I will be more than ready. But beyond that, I have no knowledge whatsoever of any of the future Marvel plans for this character or any other character.

Alright, fair answer.

Simu Liu: I mean, all of the things you mentioned are true. I think it was an incredible way to tell the story of the character and especially leave the door open for potentially more stories to be told. It’s all I ever wanted coming into the MCU, which already was a dream come true, to be able to do it multiple times. And so my fingers are crossed as they possibly can be, to be able to return to the character and the world.

So, then, where would you like to see your character go next?

Simu Liu: There’s this very famous story in which Shang-Chi and Spider-Man have a little team-up moment. I don’t know if you’re familiar with this, but in the comics, Spider-Man needs a little bit of help with his martial arts; he needs to brush up a little bit. And says, yeah, I’ll help you, I’ll develop a whole style based on your abilities – and they call it the Way of the Spider. I’m outing myself as a huge comic book nerd. But that’s something I really want to see and I really hope that Kevin [Feige] gets to see this interview so that he can potentially put it in a future movie somewhere.

Oh yeah, me too.

Simu Liu: Yeah, that’s what I’m looking forward to.

I know it’s been mentioned a lot that, years ago, you tweeted about wanting to play Shang-Chi, but would there have been another character you wanted to play if this didn’t work out?

Simu Liu: God, this is a deep cut. When I was like 22 years old, I wrote this bible for a Sunfire series. So, Sunfire is actually one of the members of the first X-Men team, and he’s a Japanese mutant who got his powers from a young age and grew up in an environment raised by his uncle to hate America. So he starts off as an enemy of the X-Men and then he has this beautiful arc in which he realizes he’s the bad guy – and then he becomes a good guy, then he becomes somewhere kind of in between. He’s a really, really fascinating character, and I thought, hey, it would be really cool to play him. This was before I knew Shang-Chi even existed. I guess you could say I was manifesting superhero roles for myself since a lot further back than that tweet. I’ve always just been such a big fan of the MCU and anything Marvel, really.

Warning: contains major spoilers for X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #1!

There have always been a few problems with Magneto and the way he treats the women in his life. X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #1 reveals the consequences of his actions toward not just Scarlet Witch, but also his own daughter. The backlash he is currently facing has been a long-time coming.

From derogatory name-calling like “the Pretender” to forcing her to be used as a pawn at his whims, Magneto hasn’t had the best relationship with Wanda Maximoff. Furthermore, the continual back and forth of their being related or not has often come from Magneto himself – calling her his daughter, when it has varied in truth and may have been a lie from the beginning.

X-Men: The Trial of Magneto #1 has the creative team of Leah Williams, Valerio Schiti, Edgar Delgado, and Vc Clayton Cowles. In this first issue of Magneto’s latest scandal, both Lorna and Pietro turn on Magneto immediately when all evidence points to him being Scarlet Witch’s murderer. Instead of believing that this patriarchal figure could be innocent, they believe without hesitation that he is likely responsible – and it’s his own fault because of his misogyny.

Early on, Magneto mistreated Wanda – even before she was said to be his daughter. While a part of the Evil Brotherhood of Mutants, the Scarlet Witch was mistreated by her teammates, as well as their leader. She was targeted for her beauty. In X-Men #6, Magneto is trying to recruit Namor the Sub-Mariner. He thinks the best way to get the upper hand on him joining them is to use Wanda. Magneto practically throws her at him, but Namor doesn’t join. In fact, he becomes angry with the Brotherhood’s leader because of the way he talks to Scarlet Witch, stating that he won’t ally himself with someone who “speaks to a female as YOU do!!” Namor is one of the most arrogant heroes, but even he knows that Magneto mistreats Scarlet Witch. Later on, in Avengers #110, Magneto takes control of Wanda and several of the Avengers. However, Scarlet Witch is the only person he makes do ridiculous things under his control, forcing her to dance for him and his own amusement. The other Avengers are left standing around, mindless, but not toyed with.

If older appearances weren’t enough, Magneto’s callous treatment of Scarlet Witch continues in House of M #7. With the Avengers after Wanda, Pietro is concerned for his sister and expresses his concerns to Magneto. Yet to Pietro’s horror, Magneto doesn’t seem to care about a terrible fate befalling her. He actually seems to agree with them. Eventually, Scarlet Witch causes numerous mutants to lose their X gene, and therefore their powers. However, not before she calls out what Magneto’s decisions have done to her and Pietro. He never treated them like a proper family, instead choosing his cause over them and their well-being.

Magneto’s misogyny and negligence have collectively led up to this exact moment. While it isn’t surprising that Pietro would side against his former “father”, it seems particularly tragic that his own true daughter, Lorna, wouldn’t be able to side with Magneto either. When she comes after him personally, he calls her “unhinged” and “inconsistent”, while she points out that the wives and daughters he has had end up being left in a path of death. She claims he tries to make them more willing to bend to his will and how he tried to break her without success. Magneto may be reformed now, but his decisions and actions prove he hasn’t made up for his past misogyny.
