feeling some writer’s block, friends, so I’m gonna drop a list here and someone yell if one of them sounds good (it’s all Stucky for the record lol):

- ABO AU, trauma and escaping a bad relationship and finding home across the hall, very sweet very angst

- a Romania AU where they have the same basic lives they’ve lived, but they never knew each other, and they first meet when Steve is soul searching in Bucharest after the fall of SHIELD and Bucky is on the run there

- a 1940’s post war AU as fuck AU where Bucky is a twenty-something book repair pro and reclusive veteran thirty-something Steve hires him to work on his vintage collection at his upstate mansion. Have any of you read Inkheart? Not the magic of that. Just. The profession. Lol

- flower shop/coffee shop/tattoo parlor AU, yes all three, the cool avengers are all present and work at these various locations all on adjacent corners in NYC. Bucky is a vet home from service, Steve, bless him, is a florist

- Hydra Cap. Look. This was started so long ago that I’m actually fully rewriting it, but it’s an endgame fix it of sorts. It is not kind though

- Nest Fic 2022 My Absolute Beloved. It’s so soft. It’s so… melancholy isn’t the word I’m looking for. It’s just soft and dreamy and quiet. The boys build a cabin upstate. The fic follows the year it takes to be built. There’s story, there’s love, there’s smut, there are letters, Nat and Sam are there, it’s great

The party felt like a royal ball, at first, but unexpected events almost turned it into a nightmare. James’ friends left the table to greet acquaintances and be way more sociable than you and Bucky, wrapped in your little world. Sometimes, a stranger would pass by your table and make small talk with him, while you just smiled and looked pretty. The conversations never lasted long, and those piercing blue eyes would soon be focused on you again.

"You look delicious in this dress, did I mention that?” He had whispered in your ear right before another stranger greeted him. You felt your face burning, not from embarrassment, but because you could never get enough of his words, the way he kept winning you over, again and again, every time he opened his mouth.

James was such a charming, elegant man, and he looked so damn fine in that suit. You would be drooling for him if he wasn’t yours already. Yes, yours. If he could claim you so easily, how could you not do the same? He always made sure to make it clear that you were his and that he could give you everything you ever needed, so assuming that he was giving himself to you couldn’t be a bad guess. At least, that’s how you felt.

You had seen many pretty women, in dresses just as gracious as yours, at that party. They were naturals, in their habitat. Old money, ivy leagues, modern nobility. You had even overheard a few family names that were distinct and known in the city, through tabloids, newspapers, and everything in between. CEOs of monopoly companies, politicians, whatever you could think of. But, as overwhelming as it could be, you were feeling quite comfortable there, because of James. Your Bucky.

You felt special. Unique. The way he looked at you made you forget about all the rich and snob people you were stressing about earlier that day. He had ordered rose wine for you, and liquor for himself. Chatting over the fine appetizers and flirting shamelessly, the first hour had gone by rather quickly.

He had told you to enjoy the party, rather than stress about things that didn’t matter. To him, it didn’t matter where you came from, he wanted you to be part of his world. Like a good little doll, you were doing as he commanded, enjoying it all.

When Samuel and Steve came back to the table, the two of you were sitting close, as you leaned against his chest and he had a possessive arm around you, talking sweet nothings and letting the alcohol get to your heads. You weren’t drunk, just inebriated and happy enough not to have a care in this world.

Steve cleared his throat and you two, lovebirds, laughed it off before sitting appropriately again. As the group reunited, the four of you chatted excitedly for a good while over the fine dinner that was served. The food helped you sobering up a little bit, but that was only a good excuse to keep on drinking more after the meal.

At some point, Sam stopped laughing and grinned, glancing at James. “Buck, I need to introduce you to someone. Oh, I’ve been waiting all night for this.” Without further explanation, he got up and waited for James to do the same.

Before he did, he kissed your neck and whispered his excuse. “Sorry, doll. Business calls. I’ll be back before you know it, alright? Stay here.” You melted under his lips and nodded at his words. It was a clear instruction, but where would you leave to, anyway? It wasn’t like you were about to get up and start mingling with the finest citizens in the club.

They both left, blending in with the small crowd in the ballroom, and you were left with Steve at the table. He sat across from you and had a smirk on his face, his blue eyes studying your figure.

“... What?” You asked after a while, not handling his gaze for longer than that. You chuckled, the silence between you two felt weird.

“Nothing, it’s just… You’re quite decent, that’s all.” He shrugged, looking away, the smirk never leaving his face.

You frowned while trying to figure out what he meant by “decent”. He probably noticed the confusion in your face, as he laughed lightly and continued. “Bucky’s dolls are usually boring as hell. Shallow, silly, stupid.”

As the words came out of his mouth, any hint of a smile gradually disappeared from your face. Dolls, plural. Usually. Shallow, silly, stupid. You felt a weight drop in your stomach, and you thought that could be your heart, sinking. You blinked a couple of times, unsure of how to answer or what to say.

“But you’re different, don’t worry. That’s what I was thinking about. It looks like you really like him. Perhaps, he has finally found his perfect little victim.” Steve finished his thoughts with a snort, taking a sip of his drink right after.

You felt nauseous. Suddenly, the dress felt too tight around your chest and the ambiance music echoed too loud in your ears. You looked down, doing your best not to let the tears that welled up in your eyes fall. You sniffed, trying to be as quiet as possible. You didn’t want to let him see you like that, you felt stupid. And silly. But not shallow.

You felt too much, too deeply. Your chest rose and fell rapidly, as you tried to suppress all these emotions coming out against your will. You felt stupid because you knew, from day one, that it was all too good to be true. A rich man offers you money to be his little concubine, simple. No feelings, there’s no romance in that. He wanted you, he seduced you and bought you. As best as you tried to keep that in mind, your feelings were screaming for you to give in to this little fantasy. So, you had forgotten it was all a simple exchange.

You felt silly because something inside you wanted it to be more than that. Damn it, you had met James less than a week ago and your mind and body had already surrendered to him. And now, you were hurt by the reality of things. By the facts that Steve spilled like he was serving tea. You couldn’t even think about how he was complimenting you, or something like that.

Perfect little victim. To what? To James’ attention, his money, his sexual desires? You couldn’t understand why the words that Steve said had such a heavy impact on you, or why you felt so hurt realizing James had other girls before you. Other girls like you.

You mumbled an excuse, got up, and walked away from the table, feeling dizzy for the suddenness of your movements. With a deep breath and a blurry vision from the tears, you headed for the ascending staircase that led to the entrance of the building. You needed air. You needed to cry, and you needed to be alone for a while.

You felt weird. Lost, confused, and you wish you were numb too. As you exited the building, the night breeze touched your skin. It was a relief, it was welcoming. You could breathe again. You tried to ignore the way people stared at you, the distressed damsel in the beautiful gown. Cinderella much? You let out a sad chuckle, finding comfort in your distracting thoughts.

You walked away from the doors, staying away from anyone that got in or out of the party. You found yourself gazing at the night sky, squinting to see the stars when a male voice pulled you out of your efforts.

“(Y/N)?”

Looking around, you searched for the one who called for you. It was a vaguely familiar voice, but you didn’t recognize it immediately.

“I need to confess, never thought I’d see you in a place like this.” The young man let out a chuckle and took a sip from the glass in his hand. It was Peter, your blind date from last week. How… odd. “Damn, I just wasted a pretty good pick-up line.”

You couldn’t find the words to answer him, just as surprised as he was to see you again. “I’m…” You started, but he cut you off.

“You’re here with Barnes, right? He’s good, hella good.” He had a smirk on his lips, and you noticed he hadn’t been that well-humored in your date. Something was different.

Peter had presented as such a self-absorbed douche, a boring guy, to be honest. But now, he even sounded different, almost another person.

“How do you know… I mean, what do you mean? You know him?” Several questions popped up on your mind, but you could only have so many answers at a time.

“Sort of. He’s a friend of my family, I owed him big time too. I’m glad it was worth it since you’re here tonight.” He was very comfortable with the whole situation and transparent, too. “Gosh, that man would give his other arm to have you.”

“Peter, what the fuck does that mean?” You stepped closer to him, trying to sound as serious as possible. Ignoring the dizziness and your short breath, you didn’t know if you were sober enough for that. “I met him that night. After our awful date.”

“Well, I guess… Sorry, but he asked me to bring you there. And to be a douche, too.” You couldn’t process his words. It had to be a joke.

Your mouth was dry, and you took his glass without asking before gulping down the contents. The bourbon burned your lips and throat, but you couldn’t pay attention to that.

“How the fuck did he…”

“What’s going on here, kid?” The deep voice caught you off-guard. James had approached the two of you, looking pissed off. There was no hint of a smile on his face. The kind, fun, and caring man you had met was no longer there. Instead, darkness shrouded his gorgeous features. “Ah, I see, you found my girl.”

He was talking to Peter, who didn’t seem to mind it as much as you did. He was unbothered, while you almost dropped the glass in your hands. That would become a habit sooner or later.

“You look like you’ve seen a ghost, doll. Let’s go back inside, shall we?”

Peter obediently waved you goodbye and headed back inside, leaving you alone with James. You even looked around, there was no one left outside of the building. When you met his eyes again, you saw the shadow of something entirely new to you.

You opened and closed your mouth, but the words never seemed to find their way out. Not even the tears dared to leave your eyes. Confusion wouldn’t even begin to describe how you felt.

“And forget about that boy. He’s a fool. Let’s go back inside.” He repeated himself, a little more sternly, gesturing with his hand. You looked away and wrapped your arms around yourself as if that would protect you from the unknown.

“James… Have you… Have you met me before that night?” Your voice was weak, afraid to be accusing him of anything he didn’t do. “Did you know who I was, and why I was at your club?”

You watched his jaw tense up in the gloom of the night. The crease between the furrow of his brows was stronger, and you could barely see those enticing blue eyes. “I never lied to you, especially when I said I wanted you as soon as I laid eyes on you.” That was barely an answer.

“When was that, James?” Your eyes burned, you couldn’t hold back the tears for much longer. “Where was that?”

He huffed impatiently, letting his arms fall on the sides of his torso. “I found your socials. When I saw you, I had to look for you. The prettiest little thing. Alone, in this city. Sleeping around. And you needed someone better than frat boys.”

Your mouth fell open at his words, trying to understand his side. “My socials? How?” You had nothing to do with his world. How could he even know of your existence?

“Frat parties always have a lot of coverage on Instagram. And Snapchat. And aren’t you a party girl…” He reached out to cup your cheek, a delicate touch. And you let him.

Did that mean he hunted for his dolls in frat parties? Did that mean you’ve been stalked and manipulated into his trap, his fantastic proposal of an arrangement? You were torn, and the alcohol didn’t help one bit.

A single teardrop rolled on your cheek, and he rubbed it with his thumb. “You look so pretty when you cry. But you should be happy instead. I chose you. I found you. And you’re mine now.” The wicked smile that danced on his lips, the same one that made your knees weak and your panties damp, this time it only made you shiver. “It’s cold here, let’s go back inside. Be a good girl for me, and I won’t punish you for disobeying me.”

Your heart was beating so fast in your chest, it suddenly became all you could hear. You didn’t want to go back to the party. You didn’t want to play a part in his sick little games anymore. “I wanna go home.” Muddled words escaped your mouth.

He didn’t look happy about it. “Not just yet, doll. You’ll stay with me, and when I say it’s time to go home, we go home.” His hand slid down to your neck, grabbing it a little too tight. “Don’t test me. I’ve been more than good for you all this time. I’m the best thing that ever happened to you. Don’t be stupid and throw it all away. Understood?”

Stupid. You swallowed back your tears, sniffing, and nodded a few times. You had no strength to fight back at that moment. You were angry, disappointed, and surprised, but mostly hurt. Even though James was the one to blame for this, you wanted the comfort he could offer you. Maybe tomorrow you could think this through and decide on what to do about it. Once you were sober and put together, you could handle it all. But not tonight.

Okay. So I bet you're searching for some fics right now because you're bored, then you're at the right place. So this is a list of my favorite Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers fics. I've read so many fics but I'm going to list the fics which I remember and I recently read. You're probably wondering why I'm doing this it's because FIC WRITERS DON'T GET THE RECOGNITION THEY DESERVE. YES YOU HEARD ME. They spend so much of their time on this blog to give us such good stories/ contents, they have their personal life but still they write for us. And it is our time to be grateful for them so please if you ever read a fic, please like, reblog and comment. I've been on tumblr for less then a year and I've seen so many fic writers leave this blog. It genuinely hurts me because their loosing their inspiration because not many people recognize their talents. SO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LIKE, REBLOG AND COMMENT ON THE FICS YOU READ AND LOVE. I know many of you read and don't reblog but please do cause as fan-fic readers it's the least we can do. So on this though I'm going to be listing the fics I've read. I'll see if this gets good response then I'll maybe do more. I'm in no way doing this for myself, it's for all the fic writers to tell them how grateful I am. @all1e23 So Allie's fics are the first bucky x reader fics I've ever read on tumblr. Her writing is really good and I would recommend you to read all of her fics. The swallows, astrophile, between the stars are all my favorites. But my most favorite will be heart and soul that's just *NO WORDS*.You can literally binge her entire masterlist.

@invisibleanonymousmonsters I LOVE LOVE LOVE heart of steel. It was so good I had to call my cousin up and tell her this story. Like I'm not going to spoil it for y'all it's just *chef's kiss*. It's a knight!bucky x princess!reader. I'm telling you y'all won't be disappointed. And all of her other fics are good too. Y'all can check out her masterlist, it's definitely my favorite.

@simsadventures JUST READ PANOPTICON. it's an alpha! Steve Rogers x reader. It's sooooo good and she also writes Bucky x reader. She also wrote an alpha!bucky is I'm not wrong. Check out her masterlist too guys.

@hispeculiartreasure I've read only one fic of her's it's called All we've got is time. My god!! I loved that fic so much. It's a 40s Bucky fic. I was so addicted to it. I think it's one of the first 40s au I've read. Y'all should read it.

@allandoflimbo Take it back -pls read this. Don't even get me started. I'm never one to read cheating fics, but let me tell you it's not what I expected TBH. It's a Bucky x reader. That's all I'm going to tell you. I'm already getting chills talking about this fic. She's also writing on wattpad and ao3. She's got another new fic written it's called Ashens( I think). But I'm telling y'all will not regret it.

@speechlessxx I'm obsessed with her fics. I remember a long time back I read cherry chapstick, it's a Chris evans x reader. It was so good and I didn't know who wrote it. it was super good. And then her fics Bring me light. Wowowwo. It's a king! Steve Rogers fic. God I use to literally wait for her to post it. She also has a new fic. You can check out her masterlist, I tell you.

@kayteewritessteve JUST CHECK OUT HER ENTIRE MASTERLIST OKAY. THERE'S NOTHING MUCH TO SAY. IF I START TALKING ABOUT HER FICS I WON'T STOP. Anyways I still will. She mostly writes only Steve Rogers fics. I love literally every story she writes. It's just wowowoow. She has Mob! Steve, King! Steve, Cop! Steve. Just read it okay. No excuses

@whistlingwillows I've just read two of her fics but let me tell you, I was not able to come out of it. I myself have to check her masterlist cause she has SO MANY GOOD FICS. Buried in you're bones and foxglove just made me cry. Like seriously they're that good.

@jaamesbbarnes I love Disney au's so much and god y'all have to read Sirens song. It was so simple yet beautiful. It's a CEO! Bucky fic. And lets just say it was so freaking cute.

@redgillan READ HER ENTIRE MASTERLIST. Like she has so many good fics I get confused sometimes. Right now I'm obsessed with Under pastel skies. It's a Bucky Barnes fic. And it's a sugar daddy au. And it's not what you think 😳😏it's so freaking romantic. Just read it. And check her masterlist too. If I'm not wrong she has so many Steve Rogers fic too.

@papi-chulo-bucky AHAHAHA. I LOVE HERR FICS like TBH it's amazing. That's it. And I love her fic called Haunting ME. It's one of my favorites coz its a POC! reader fic. Like wowowowo. And the plot is so good. Check her out guys.

@floatingpetals Read the Shifter series. It's so cute and the reader is clingy(like me). And I just love it when the readers animal self interacts with Bucky. It's such a good series honestly give it a read.

@brooklyn-boy one word MASTERLIST. Like you can find both Steve and Bucky fics. I think there also a stucky one. I love all of they're stories and you guys it's so good. My favorite one will be a Sea of Strangers

@romanticromanogers Eternal fever is such a good fic. It's a biker gang! Bucky and the reader works as a dancer in a bar. It's so good I can't wait for the next chapter. Please give this fic a try you'll live it I'm sure.

@xetoilerouge LIFE AS WE KNOW IT. yes you read it right it's based on the movie with the same title but it's so much different and even more cuter. It's a Bucky fic. Y'all will not regret it.

@wkemeup I STOPPED THINKING FOR A MINUTE CAUSE I HAD FLASH BACKS OF HER FICS. Like her fics have you going in a rollercoaster and it's like you cannot even expect the plot twist. And her plot is good and her writing is amazing. By any other name and guiding light are my all time favorites. Both had me wandering around my house at night.

@cxptain Last night only I finished reading one of her fics. And honestly it's really good I can't wait to read the rest of her fics in her masterlist. She wrote a mob! Steve fic and god it's freaking cute. And I have to say this it has the ultimate Sam, Bucky and Peter interaction it's so funny. Honestly I died laughing. AND SHE ALSO HAS A DESI FIC!!??! CAN I SEE MY DESI READERS!!! it's a Bucky x desi reader and honestly I read the prolonge and I was so excited. Y'all can definitely read her fics too.

@justreadingfics WAIT I HAVE TO TAKE A MINUTE. *inhales and exhales* OK just read it's a deal. It's a Bucky fic and it's still wip. And not to mention it's soooo HOTTT. And if you ever want to cry your freaking heart and brains out Read looking for a heart beat honestly I cried like a freaking baby and let me tell you I wasn't looking cute. But just I regretted not reading it early. PLSSSS FREAKING READ IT YALL ARE MISSING OUT SO MUCH.

@wintersoldierissucharide LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY CAUSE THERES NOTHING I CAN SAY OTHER THAN FREAKING READ HER STORIES . THE ANGSTTT. I CAN'T EVEN. Her fic The Silence has me silent. And the past always catches up. If you haven't read it..... *pikachu face* just go read it.

🅾 This is not the only fics I've read. I've read so many fics but these are the only fics I remember and I've be reading recently. If this gets a good response I'll maybe do another part🅾

So I'm doing this so that fic writers get all the recognition and love they deserve. I'm not doing this for my own selfish reasons. I'm doing this as a way to thank all the fanfic writers.
