Congratulations on hitting 2k🎉🎉
I really love your writing and I’d love to see how you think the op boys would react to their s/o getting jealous you could maybe do ace law and luffy?
Characters: gn reader x Ace, Law, Luffy Cw: Put your rose-colored glasses on, folks. Because we got some red flags (cough cough Law)  Total word count: 1.6k
Jealous Reader
Ace
Ace is just being fun. He’s just too oblivious to realize the other people are flirting. He doesn’t notice the soft touches across his torso, or how they lean in closer to him every time they laugh. But you do.
“You don’t look like you’re having fun,” he said halfway through the night. “We can go, if you want.”
“Wouldn’t want to take you away from your fan club,” you spat back, venom in your words. But he either didn’t notice or he pretended not to.
“Yeah, they’re funny aren’t they?” He laughed. “They all buy me drinks whenever I tell a new story. Hospitality here is amazing!”
“Right.” You got up to leave. “Have fun with that.”
“What?” his brows furled together in confusion. “Where are you going?”
“Back to the ship.” And with that, you slammed the door closed.
A few seconds later, he’s racing after you into the crowded street.
This man has no idea what he did wrong, but he’s trying to make it right.
He abandons everyone in that bar without even a goodbye, and as his fingers lace through yours, you can’t help but feel a little better about that.
He kisses your cheek and follows you closely, not wanting you to get away from him. He knows you all need to talk, but he also knows this crowded street isn’t the place to do it.
When you all get back to your room, you try to break away from him, but he pulls you into an embrace, strong warm arms wrapping around you.
“You’re the only one I have eyes for, you know that right?” he said, rubbing your back lightly.
“Didn’t feel like it tonight,” you mumbled harshly.
“Well you are.” He tilted your face up so he could cover it with kisses. “I just use those people to get free drinks.”
“I know,” you whispered, leaving your head against his chest to hear his heartbeat. “Doesn’t make it any easier to watch though.”
“Okay.” Ace kissed the top of your head. “Won’t do it anymore.”
You looked up at him, surprised. “Really?”
“Of course!” He kissed your lips now, gently reminding you that he was all yours. “Your feelings aren’t worth some free booze.”
Law
Of course this woman was some fancy doctor. Of course Law had read her book. All her books. And now he had been gone from your all’s table for almost thirty minutes to talk to her.
She wasn’t just polite. She was friendly. Overly friendly. You had watched as she had scooted closer and closer to your boyfriend, minimizing the gap between their bodies.
Finally, you couldn’t take it anymore. You got up from your seat and ignored the snickering of Shachi and Penguin from the table.
“Law, dear.” You gave a strained smile to him and the woman. “I hate to rush you, but we’re kind of on a schedule.”
Law stood, still staring at the woman. “Wow! The time really flew by. Thanks for letting me pick your brain.”
“Oh doctor,” the woman cooed, a seductive smile on her face. “The pleasure was all mine. Feel free to find me any time you want to have a…chat”
“Thanks for being patient,” Law said as the two of you walked away. “It’s not often I-”
“Let’s go,” you said to the others as you walked past the table, not pausing for a moment. “The captain made us late.”
You don’t use “Captain” often. And based on your tone, Law had to guess he was in trouble.
The snickers from Shachi and Penguin weren’t helping either. They had surely watched you become more and more irritated as time went on, so they had a pretty good idea of what was going on,
“Can you give me some pointers? Any warnings?” Law mumbled to his crewmates, desperate to get a read on your emotions.
“You don’t know what you did?” Penguin asked as Shachi burst into laughter, causing all three of them to receive a glaring look from you
When you got back to the Polar Tang, you made a beeline for your bedroom. Law didn’t follow. He assumed you needed a bit to cool off. Plus he wanted to check out another book from the woman he had just met.
After a few hours, Law rubbed his drooping eyes, and finally decided to see you again. He still had no idea why you were so upset.
You were asleep in the bed, but you had built a pillow divider between his side in yours. He rolled his eyes and quickly pulled the pillows away, curling into you.
You tried to push him away, proving you weren’t asleep, but he wouldn’t let you.
“Can you tell me why you have such an attitude?”He was irritated, and you laughed at the irony. You were the one who was supposed to be irritated, not him.
“Why don’t you go ask that famous doctor since you care about her more than-”
He scoffed, cutting you off. “You can’t be serious.”
You stared at him for a long moment, and then turned away from him, pouting at his words.
“I’ve read her books, that’s all. Can you stop acting like a child with this petty jealousy?”
His words tipped you over the edge. “I’ll stop acting like a child when you treat me like an equal!” you yelled. You rose to your feet and quickly strode out the door, slamming it behind you.
Oh, he really fucked up now. His tongue was always getting him in trouble.
He scoured the Polar Tang, searching for you. He finally found you on the couch and curled up next to you.
“I’m sorry,” he whispered. “That was really insensitive of me to say. If the situation were reversed, I would be upset too. I’ll do better in the future, okay?”
You gave him a slight nod, and he quickly shambled you both back to the bed to get some much-needed sleep.
Luffy
“Oh, Hancock is coming, right?!” Luffy asked. “I like her!”
“And we all know how she feels about you,” you mumbled under your breath. Your comment sparked laughter from Nami, causing Luffy’s attention to drift over to you.
“What’s funny?” He asked. “I want to be in on the joke!”
“Nothing,” you grumbled. You could see Boa Hancock’s ship in the ocean, and your stomach churned with dread. “Sanji, do you need any help in the kitchen?”
Working with Sanji had been a bad idea. Boa Hancock was beautiful. And while you could hear her fawning over your boyfriend on the deck, Sanji fawned over her in the kitchen
It was only thirty minutes before you gave up and retreated to your room. You were in a bad mood, but this was a celebration, and you didn’t want to ruin it.
Luffy entered the kitchen looking for two things: Meat and you. “Sanji! Y/N-hey, where are they?”
Sanji shrugged. “Said they weren’t feeling well. Not sure.”
Luffy headed to your all’s room. Now that he thought about it, you had been off. You hadn’t been chatty or smiled most of the day, and he was starting to get worried you were really sick.
As you heard the turn of the doorknob, you quickly wiped away your stray tears. But your eyes were still red and puffy.
“Oh man!” Luffy sat down next to you on the bed, staring at your face. “Your allergies are terrible! You should’ve told me, we could’ve moved to another season ecosystem!”
His idiocy made you let out a garbled laugh, trying to hide your true feelings about the party.
“It’s fine,” you said, shaking your head. But your bottom lip trembled, giving you away.
“You’ve been crying.” He stated it as a fact, not a question. He knew you too well for you to hide your tears for long. He smushed your cheeks together and held your face so you couldn’t avoid his gaze any longer. “Did Sanji make you cry?”
“No.” You tried to pull away from his grip, but he clamped down on your cheeks so you couldn’t escape. He wouldn’t let you leave his gaze until he figured out what was wrong.
While you were here alone with him, all your worries felt so silly. Luffy didn’t even realize Hancock was in love with him. If you brought it up now, you’d be causing a big scene.
“It’s stupid,” you whispered, but he only frowned at you. He opened his mouth to say something.
“Luffy!” Hancock called from behind the door, interrupting his thoughts. “Are you in there? Should I come in?”
You rolled your eyes at her voice. Of course she came to find him. He had been gone for too long, and he was the only reason she was here.
You tried to hide your disdain for the empress, but Luffy caught it, and his eyes widened. “You don’t like her!” he whispered.
“Luffy, can we not do this right now?” you hissed, and the door opened.
“Oh!” Hancock blushed seeing you and Luffy so close, but she glared daggers at you. “I didn’t realize you were with someone, Luffy.”
Luffy’s eyes slid between you and her, trying to figure it out. He was so close to the revelation, but he just couldn’t get there.
The three of you rejoined the party reluctantly, but Luffy kept you close to him for the rest of the night.
He’s always been a physical touch person, and tonight you were grateful for it. He was always holding your hand or had his arm wrapped around you. He stayed close, and even though you got death stares from Hancock, at least you had Luffy by your side to make it more manageable.

— Luffy smiled as he ran over the deck, perfecting everything that looked slightly unpleasing. He hadn't seen you in months, going back to his old village meant seeing you again and he wanted it to be perfect. You both kept in touch by sending letters and after a while, ended up buying phones to reach each other faster.
Nami sat on a crate, her legs crossed as Sanji and Zoro stood beside her. Ussop was attempting to stop Luffy from falling overboard. She looked over at the two boys who rolled their eyes. "Not one bit huh?" Nami asked the two who nodded.
Sanji had faith in the beginning, believing the boy since well, he has a heart of gold, but after a while of hearing stories that sound like tales out of a naive boys mouth is well, unbelievable. Yes, it was possible for him to have a girlfriend, yet she can't be great in everything.
She can't be a fantastic with swords and a genius in the medical field, she can't be the best cook, better then Sanji Luffy might say, and have a hand for crafts. Maybe he was simply overcompensating about his love.
"Luffy, the ship looks great, I'm sure your girl will love it." Sanji smiled at the boy as both Nami and Zoro let out stiffled laughs.
"Whats so funny?" Luffy asked the group who looked at eachother. Luffy grew more concerned as he took his hat off, sliding them onto his shoulders.
"It's just that we uh." Nami started as she tried to figure out a way to frame it in a decent way.
"We don't think she exists." Zoro answered as Nami turned to the boy, her eyes wide as he shrugged. "What, it's better then lying."
"Y/n is real, why don't you guys believe me?" Luffy asked the crew who stayed quiet. He looked among them as he sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "She's real, shes a pirate too, well, was a pirate."
"Yeah, and a doctor, and a cook, and a writer. She seems perfect, no one is." Zoro looked at the boy who scoffed.
"Well, she is, and look, we're here so you'll see for yourself!" Luffy said as he ran towards the front. Nami sighed as she stopped the ship, Luffy instantly jumping down, running towards a trap door. He opened it, jumping down for the group to follow him.
They were placed in an old basement, filled with materials and a section with belongings. "What is this place, it's so, rusty." Sanji said as he pinched his nose due to the horrid smell of fish guts.
"It's my home, well, was my home." Luffy smiled at the group as he walked over to his old bed, he opened a chest, taking out a satchel with his old belongings before climbing back up. "C'mon, I got my stuff, let's go meet Y/n!"
"Yeah, cause that's totally not stalling." Nami said as she climbed out, helping Zoro up as she ran after the boy who ran towards a bar.
"Luffy! My god we missed you!" The bartender smiled at the boy who hugged her. He turned back to his crew, looking around for another person.
"Hey Makino I got the broom." You said as you entered the room, you looked up to find Luffy who stood in shock. You dropped the broom as you ran towards the boy, jumping at him as he caught you, spinning you around.
You kissed his lips as he smiled, he set you down, wrapping his arms around you as he turned back to his crew who stood shocked. "Wait, she's actually real?" Zoro asked as he turned to Nami. She shrugged as he turned back to you.
"Guys, this is my very real girlfriend, Y/n." Luffy introduced you as you laughed. You waved at the group who waved back, Sanji with a huge grin plastered on his face.
"What a nice young lady you are-." Sanji's sentence was cut off by Luffy who had punched the boy, you covered your mouth before turning back to Luffy who looked serious.
"Luffy!" You yelled as he turned back to you, his expression softening.
"What?" He answered as you fliched his hat, he smiled as he held onto it, kissing your cheek before carrying you up, spinning you around one more time.
"Cmon now, I wanna show you my ship!" Luffy smiled as he held your hand, running towards the dock where the going merry happened to be. He skipped up the ramp as you looked in awe at the ship.
Luffy leaned onto the railings, smiling at the girl who stood on shock. "This is your ship? This is yours?" You asked the boy who nodded. He seemed proud of himself, you knew he had a ship but never expected a huge ship with an actual flag.
"C'mon, I'll show you my room, our room." Luffy smiled at the girl who scrunched her face in confusion. Luffy jumped down, holding your hand as he stared into your eyes. "Y/n, I want you to join my crew, we need someone like you, you know what you're doing, your perfect, your kind and smart."
"I left that life behind." You sighed as he looked away, you could tell her was upset. You hated being apart, he hated it more. Luffy was always an affectionate person, being away from his loved one hurt more then anyone could ever imagine. "I suppose you do need help to find the one piece."
Luffys face brightened up as he looked at you, smiling before carrying you up to the ship. You giggled as he set you down in the Captains quarters. The place was surrounded in pictures and souvenirs from adventures they had gone through. A desk filled with books and paper, probably stories written by him. You turned to the bed that seemed big enough for two people.
"You planned this, didn't you?" You turned to the boy who smiled, raising his eyebrows. You laughed before setting down on the bed. "I'll go get lunch ready?"
"No need, Sanji 'll do it." He smirked as he placed his hands on your waist, you smiled as you looked back at the boy, he traced your scar on your left cheek with his fingertips in such a loving way. "Now, let me show you how much I missed you my love."

Pacified
Trafalgar D. Water Law x Reader
a/n: set after the fight on Wano.
Summary: Law is afraid of love, big shocker
Tumblr media
The tavern was crowded but there was no doubt in Law’s mind that it was you burning a hole in the back of his head. Your gaze was like fire, and he felt a prickly feeling on the base of his neck, so much so, that he rubbed at it. His cheeks burned as he finally looked over his shoulder and met your stare with a quick withdrawal. He felt ashamed and cowardly, but he couldn’t even manage a hello to you when he walked into the bar with your crew mates. He knew it, knew it to his core – getting involved with the Straw Hats was going to be a pain in his ass but what he didn’t anticipate was something far worse.
A pain in his heart.
The barkeep slid a glass of ale in front of him, Law thanked the man and proceeded to down it in one gulp. His nerves were shot, body ached from all the fighting; now that things were settled in Wano, he could finally breathe but for how long? How long before you inhaled him so? He felt like he was drowning in this odd feeling, a foreign feeling that had him looking for you on the battleground. Every other thought had been about you – were you safe? Had you pushed yourself past your limit? The worst: were you even alive? He should have known, you were a damn Straw Hat, of course you’d end up fine.
If fine meant badly wounded and at the point of death but alive.
He had personally tended to your wounds and gave Chopper specific orders for your recovery. Days later, he saw you for the first time. Refreshed and smiling as you walked through the town with Roronoa Zoro. You looked well and he could never forget the relief that swelled in his chest, but he acted cowardly and ducked into a sweets shop. He watched from the window as you walked by with the swordsman, your laugh filled the muffled air, and he felt a cramp in his heart. It was sickening, he felt sick watching you walk away but at least you were alive and breathing.
If only that could be enough for him.
All he wanted was to get on his ship with his crew and leave Wano for good, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it even days after the final battle. Of course, Bepo and the others were having a good time but all he could do was wallow because what was the point? He had his crew and you had yours – and that was that. Wasn’t it?
“Tra-guy!”
Law cringed at the sound of the Straw Hat’s captain voice and attempted to get off the stool for a quick escape, but Luffy had an arm around him in seconds. He pulled him toward a large round table, where the rest of the crew sat, including you. Law grumbled as Luffy called for a toast, pushing a drink into the doctor’s chest. He took it reluctantly and avoided you as he listened to Luffy give a short, dumb little speech until everyone cheered and clinked glasses. It then, as everyone laughed around the table that Law found himself looking in your direction. He anticipated your gaze, but you were laughing at something Jinbei was saying and all he could do was stare. His heart pattered and all he wanted to do was pluck it out of his own body, throw it away in the sea. That way he wouldn’t have to feel it bursting in his body attempting to burn right through his chest.
“Law.”
He blinked a few times and realized you were standing in front of him – how long had he zoned out? He cleared his throat before commenting on your recovery. “You look well.”
“Because of you,” you smiled, hands behind your back. “When I woke up, Chopper explained what you had done for me. Thank you.”
“Of course,” he replied quietly, afraid to move a muscle but it seemed you were set on making him go into cardiac arrest because you drew slightly closer to him. He could feel his cheeks go warm as you asked if he planned on staying longer in Wano.
“We’re set to leave in a few days. I am sorry to leave this place,” you confessed, and he asked why. Grinning, you reached down for his hand, not caring that there was room full of people, specifically, your crew surrounding you two. Law held his breath; your hand was warm and gentle as it was that night…
“It’s such a beautiful place but this is the place I got to know you better, Trafalgar. I’m glad we got to spend some time together, I just wish…. we had more time, don’t you?”
Oh, God, this was it – he was going to die. He couldn’t contain himself any longer and he quickly, without meeting a single person’s look, gripped your hand and led you quickly out of the tavern. He maneuvered you through the tables and chairs, drunk people out into the cool night. Once outside, he pulled you off to the side, away from the festival lights and sounds. His hand around yours, he stumbled over his words. It was upsetting, unnatural for him to feel so clumsy and unprepared. - that wasn’t him, what a fool love made him.
Love.
“We’re from two different crews…”
“Thank you for stating the obvious.”
You teased and it relaxed him for some reason; that’s what you did to him. Soothed away all the anxiousness he had built up, gave him a sense of calmness – which was laughable considering the crew you were apart of. How he wishes he could steal you away to be his. “I won’t ask you to come with me,” he said quietly, thumb pressing into your skin. “I know you wouldn’t, and I wouldn’t want you to choose…”
“Because I would always choose my crew.”
Law smiled softly and looked down at your hand in his; his grip softened, and he laughed, mostly to himself. “A damn Straw Hat, of all people….”
“Believe me, I wasn’t looking for this either,” you laughed, giving way to a deep sigh. Law finally gave in, fully gave in, and tugged you to him. With ease, you melted against his body as his arms wrapped around your back and he held you close to his chest. A brief sadness danced around the two of you, as the sound of Brook’s violin carried the night. It sounded so lovely, and Law closed his eyes, holding you close – mesmerizing this moment for later, when the nights on his ship would be quiet and lonely. He’d have this to look back on but more importantly, he’d have this to look forward to.
Law pulled back to look at you, hands gracing the sides of your face; his thumb caressed your cheek, and he studied the look in your eyes before telling you it wasn’t over. “It doesn’t end like this. We’ll go our separate ways for now, but let’s find each other again. I can wait, can you?”
Say yes, please, say yes – he wouldn’t know what to do if you said no. Can he move on and continue his journey. Can you become a small pebble in his story? A cliff note, a passing thought? A fond memory he can look back on when he’s much older and trying not to regret the choices he has made in his life? Can he be that strong?
“You’re worth the wait.”
Stunned, heart stunned, as you smiled. He searched in your face for any sides of hesitation but all he saw was love and hope – things he thought he lost so long ago. Dozens of thoughts ran through his head, but everything went quiet when you leaned in for a kiss. He was pacified with love as he leaned in to capture your lips with his. How tender life felt as your hands moved up around his neck, his hand on the small of your back , fireworks painting the sky, and the land of Wano thriving, once again.

New Side
Captain of the Heart Pirates, Trafalgar Law something new about his loving and caring girlfriend while out on a much needed date night.
Tumblr media
07:00AM
07:00AM in the morning was the captain’s favourite time of day. Early in the morning, the sun starting to rise and the crew starting to wake up to get started for the day. While the crew was all fast asleep off in dream land their captain was still awake working with one of his consistent all nighters.
Law looks up from his work, looking at the clock in his office to see the time in the morning. He can’t help but let a soft smile raise to his face, knowing that in a matter of minutes-
KNOCK
KNOCK
KNOCK
Right on time. The door slowly opens, a familiar (h/c) girl pokes her head in with her usual happy smile. “Good morning, love!”. She greets happily. “How’s the work coming along?”. She asks as she walks into the office and closes the door with her foot, walking over to his desk. “Morning”. He greets up back, watching her walk over with tired eyes. (Y/n) holds out one of the two cups of coffee, Law happily taking it from her. “Thank you, (Y/n)-ya”. He thanks as he takes a much needed sip.
(Y/n) smiles and takes a sip of her own coffee. The two having matching but colour coordinated cups, since Law takes his coffee with extra coffee and (Y/n) taking hers with extra sugar. “You knooooow there aren’t many calories in coffee, don’t you think you should take a break and I’ll make you a nice meal? And you can only eat so many rice balls to get that 2,500 average”. She explains, breaking the silence.
Law sighs as he sets his coffee down on his desk, not looking at her. “I know you’re a doctor and all but I’m just worried for you is all”. She adds, concern in her voice. He knows that she’s right and bringing attention to it because she cares for him. “I know, you’re right”. He sighs, leaning back in his chair and rubbing his forehead. “And you’ve been cooped up in here for days, it’s not healthy! The others are worried too, even making jokes that you’re dead”. She adds, more concern in her voice.
He chuckles lightly, his heart touched by how much she cared about him. “He would have loved you…”. He whispers under his break. “Pardon?”. (Y/n) asks, tilting her head to the side. “How close are we to the closest island?”. He asks her. “Oh! Uh last time I checked we should be close, maybe around 10 to 12 hours?”. She answers, not fully sure.
He sits up from his seat, leaning on his elbows on the desk. “We’ll head there. Restock on supplies and go out”. He tells her, then reaching for his coffee to take another sip. (Y/n)s face brightens, a wide close mouthed smile stretching across her face as her cheeks glow a pink tint. “Really!?”. She asks excitedly. “We can go to a bar and have some us time”. He adds.
She takes a deep breath and nods, giggling to herself. “That sounds great! I’d really love that!”. She says happily. They sit in a comfortable silence, before (Y/n) looks at the time and jolts. “I should really go get breakfast ready, I’ll come by later with breakfast”. She states, taking steps back as she does. “And try getting some sleep before we dock tonight”. She adds. “I’ll try”. He tells her, his lip turning up in the slightest.
He watches as she scurries to the door, blowing him a kiss before she leaves. He chuckles to himself and takes another sip of his coffee, enjoying its bitterness. Even if he was alone cooped up in his office for hours doing the same old boring work, he’d still think about her. His favourite was the first words she ever said to him, the first time they had ever met and laid eyes on each other. “I like your eyes, very beautiful but stern and scary!”. With a bright smile on her face.
~
Night had soon rolled around, the ship docking at the nearby island at the sea side village. Law was able to take a few hour nap before getting up and making his way to his shared bedroom with (Y/n). He walks into the bedroom, seeing (Y/n) checking herself out in the mirror in a nice cute dress. She makes eye contact with him in the mirror, turning around and posing with her hands behind her back.
“Soooooo, how do I look?”. She asks him, giving him a little spin. He lets out a chuckle as he walks over, placing a kiss on her forehead. “Beautiful as always, angel-ya”. He answers. She giggles as she turns away from him, cupping her own face. “Aw stop it, you’re making me blush!”. She giggles like a teenage girl. Law chuckles at her, wrapping his arm around her shoulder. “Come on, let’s go”.
~
The pirates set off into the village to gather supplies while the captain and his misses went off to the local bar. The two strolled into the bar, it wasn’t the fanciest of places for a date but time together was better than no time. Law and (Y/n) walks over and sit at the bar, sitting on the bar stools next to each other.
“Two drinks please!”. (Y/n) asks the bar tender happily with a bright smile, holding up two fingers. “Coming right up”. The bartender replies, reaching over and grabbing two bottles, placing them in front of the two. The couple grab the bottles, Law popping his open and taking a sip. A tug on his sleeve causes him to look to his right at his lover. “Can you open it for me?”. She asks with a nervous giggle.
Law lets out an amused chuckle as he takes the bottle from her, easily opening it and handing it back to her. “Thank you love!”. She thanks him, smiling up at him. “No problem, angel-ya”. He responds with a sly grin, causing her to blush and giggle. He knew that she loved that nickname, but it was more him stating what she is.
The couples moment is ruined when loud obnoxious laughter fills the room as the doors to the bar slam open. A group of rowdy pirates walk into the bar, the whole mood of the bar changing. Law glares at the group as he notices their most likely captain walk over and sit on the bar stool a couple of seats away from (Y/n)s. How had he not noticed another pirate ship docked, must have docked somewhere else. Even worse, their filthy captain sitting so close to his girlfriend.
A soft grip on his knee brings him out of his thoughts, looking down and following the arm to see the soft face of (Y/n). She doesn’t need to say a word, her eyes telling him “hey, it’s okay” where he can basically here her soft voice telling him so. Just with her eyes she successfully calms him down, him sending her a soft nod to tell her “I’m okay”.
“Well well well, what’s this pretty little thing doing here?!”. The man’s loud voice sends Law back on edge. He looks back at (Y/n), seeing her smiling still at him as she turns and takes a sip of her drink. “Aw, what’s the matter?! You shy or something?!”. The man questions, leaning closer to her. He jumps from his seat to the one closer to her, sitting right next to her. “Come on sweetheart, no need to be shy”. He flirts, getting right to her ear.
She goes unphased, taking another sip of her drink with a hum. “Hey bartender, can I get the name of this brand? It’s very good”. She asks the bartender in a sweet tone. The said bartender looking at her with a nervous look, looking between her and the man in her bubble. “U-uh yeah, it’s a fruit blend from the East Blue”. The bartender answers, then quickly going back to work. “Hey! I’m talking to you bitch!”. The man next to her yells, literally in her ear.
Law grows more angry and anxious, his whole body tensing up. He feels another soft squeeze on his leg, this time without having to look at her (Y/n) telling him “it’s okay”. “Come on! Think you’re so hot shit you can’t talk to me!? Come on bitch, no need to be such a cu-“. Like in a flash before he can finish his sentence a bottle smashes over his head.
The man shuts up as bits of glass stab into his head as blood leaks from his head. In his dazed state, (Y/n) stands up and grabs him by his collar, pulling him closer to her. “YA WANNA FINISH THAT FUCKING SENTENCE??!! CANT A WOMAN ENJOY A DRINK WITHOUT SOME UGLY FUCKTARD OF AN ABOMINATION SCREAMING IN HER FUCKING EAR??!!”. She yells, spit getting in the guys face.
She throws him to the floor, letting out a small sigh. “Great, now my dress is ruined and I had to waste a good drink”. She mumbles as she looks down at her alcohol and blood covered dress. “Especially on date night”. She whispers, pouting. She sits back down on her seat, her sweet smile back on her face. “Sorry for the mess Mister Bartender”. She apologies, clapping her hands together.
The man looks at the girl with fear, taking a large gulp. “I-it’s no problem, h-h-here! A replacement on the house!”. He says, quickly grabbing a replacement drink. “Aw thank you! You’re so kind!”. She thanks happily, taking the drink and tries to open it. Once again she can’t, so she turns to Law for help. When she does, she sees a face of pure shock on his face.
She tilts her head to the side, blinking. “Is something wrong, darling?”. She ask him. He lets out a loud breath, turning into a chuckle. “Marry me”. He mutters. “Pardon?”. She asks him, raising her eyebrow. “Why don’t we head back and spend some time together while the ships empty?”. He suggests, a very sly smirk on his face. “My my, aren’t you cheeky”. She giggles with a smirk growing on her own face.
Law gets up from his stool and grabs his drink, leaving money on the bar table and holding his hand out to her. (Y/n) smiles as she takes his hand and hops off the stool, grabbing her drink as the two start making their way out the bar. As the two walk out (Y/n) purposefully walks over the man’s body as they leave, her hugging Laws arm and resting her head on him.
Law would never admit it to her or anyone and take it to his grave, but seeing his girl like that turned him on on a whole new level.

Summary: When all the plans you'd made for today go down the drain, the last person you expected shows up at your door to try turning the night around
Pairing: James Conrad x Reader
Word Count: 2.1k
Warnings: angst; language; craptastic friends [let me know if i missed anything!]
Things to be aware of: simp Conrad, that is all 🫠
Tumblr media
"Fucking dammit!"
You gripped your phone tightly in your hand, resisting the urge to chuck it into the sea right where the ship's rotor blade was located. Tears burned behind your eyes as every message you'd missed in the last week while you were on this research trip with Monarch trickled in at a steady pace now that you and the rest of the crew had signal again.
Where your fellow scientists were calling up loved ones on FaceTime with bright smiles on their faces and assurances that they were on their way back home, you had an influx of messages from your friends telling you that no, they wouldn't be making your birthday dinner tonight after all.
"Doctor Y/L/N?"
Oh fuck not him, doesn't he have a pool bar to get to so he can snap his fingers and get tonight's lay? you snidely thought to yourself, steeling your stance at the sound of former Captain James Conrad's voice. Taking a deep breath, you turned to face him. "What's up, Conrad? Looking to split an Uber and Brooks doesn't wanna--"
"Are you alright?"
His question felt like a shock to your system, making you blink your eyes repeatedly as if you were trying to get your bearings back. "Of course," you lied through your teeth. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well…" he trailed off, motioning toward your hand. "You're gripping your mobile so hard your knuckles are turning white, for one."
You glanced at your hand, sighing when you saw your skin stretched taut over bone and trying to relax your grip somewhat. "Fine," you gritted out. "If you really wanna know, it's my birthday today. I had plans to spend tonight with my friends once I'd unpacked and washed that goddamned island off of my skin. But some people in that group can't seem to let petty high school shit go, and today when we finally got signal again I got a metric fuckton of messages from one of said friends calling me either a bad friend or a dumbass for extending an invitation to my friends because it's inconvenient for her, which then led to a domino effect of if she's not going then I'm not going and now…" you trailed off, chuckling sardonically to yourself. "Now no one's going."
Something akin to pity crossed the tracker's eyes, making you look away. The last thing you needed right now was the most jaw-droppingly unfairly handsome man on the face of God's green earth to look at you like a sad wet little puppy left out on the side of the road.
"Anyways I'm off," you said a little too chipper it even made you cringe a little inside. "Got a date with a pizza box, fridge full of wine, and my Netflix account. 'Till the next one, Conrad."
Before he could say anything else, you were already walking to your Uber that just pulled up, finally letting yourself let go of all the hot air you were running on and quite aptly feeling deflated. When you were finally far enough from the port that Conrad wasn't even a speck in your line of sight, you felt the tears start to roll down your cheeks.
You felt exponentially worse when you got home, most of the food that you'd placed an order for before you left on the trip to be delivered today already waiting on your porch.
"Fucking dammit," you repeated, albeit this time with a whimper rather than a roar. You propped your door open and started bringing the food in, deciding to set aside a couple of days worth of meals for yourself and then giving the rest to a nearby food bank so that it would at least do some good.
It took a few hours but you were finally perched on your couch, wearing a comfy pajama short set, Kate & Leopold playing on your TV, and tucking straight into a tub of mudslide ice cream just letting the night pass. This definitely wasn't how you pictured spending your 30th birthday, but you strived to remember that there could have been worse ways to spend tonight.
You could've been mediating between spatting friends because they couldn't manage to keep civil for one night, or you could've been on the receiving end of Deena's tirade about "how duplicitous you were to drag her into a gathering with Shana". The island would've been a better alternative than dealing with that all night.
About 30 minutes into the movie you heard a knock on your door, causing you jump in your seat. "I didn't order anything!" you hollered toward your front door, wincing at the pins and needles starting to prickle at your feet and lower legs from the motion.
Whoever was outside knocked again, this time a bit more persistent with the sound booming across the living room. Your visitor, whoever it may be, wasn't here by mistake, and they weren't about to be waved off with a simple 'go away I'm pissy'.
"I told you, buddy, I didn't order any--" Your words stopped short on the tip of your tongue as you saw nothing but broad shoulders clad in a familiar tight and worn blue t-shirt stretched tight over well-defined pectorals, only this time with an off-the-rack casual blazer draped over it. Your eyes slowly traveled upward to meet the oceanic blue eyes that quite frankly you constantly tried and failed not to dream about whenever you drifted off to sleep at night. "Conrad…" you said his name slowly, as if every part of your brain was fighting against accepting the reality that he was here now, looking like the human embodiment of Lust on ridiculously long legs. "What're you doing here?"
There were quite a few thoughts that crossed your mind in the last few hours, scenarios that you'd conjured up on how the rest of the night would go, each of them dwindling in their respective probability as the hours ticked on. Former SAS Tracker James Conrad being at your door, however, was definitively not among those scenarios.
"Erm…I thought I would come over to check on you. You were visibly…understandably…upset when we parted ways at the pier," he answered, shifting his weight to one leg as if trying to make it all sound so casual. He looked over at how you were dressed, from the haphazard ponytail down to the fuzzy monster slippers covering your feet, and resumed his stance that you'd grown accustomed to with the squared shoulders and the ramrod straight back as if he was back on training grounds. "Get dressed, Y/L/N."
You jerked your head backwards, surprise and confusion flooding your system at the soft spoken order. "Why?"
"I'm taking you out for dinner," he stated plainly. "I know you had plans for tonight and they didn't pan out the way you intended. No one should such an important day alone unless they really want to."
"Conrad, please. I'm fine, everything's fine. You don't have to check in on me or take me out to dinner or keep me company out of--I don't even know, pity? You have your own thing and I don't wanna keep you from it or the hordes of women who would probably abandon all common human decency and trample over each other to get that blazer off of you." You finished your little lament with a wave toward the garment, already stepping back like you were about to send him off to better and more interesting company.
When he sensed what you were about to do, he reached out, putting your hand in a delicate hold. "The night has barely begun, and you're in pajamas, eating ice cream, and one of your comfort movies is playing on the screen." He motioned his head towards your TV, where Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan were currently paused mid-waltz on a New York rooftop. He brought his hand up to cup your face, swiping his thumb over the corner of your mouth before softly saying, "This isn't fine. And I know that I'm not the company you expected or perhaps even prefer. I just--I wanted to come here tonight and just let you know…that I'm here. So…you could join me for dinner or alternatively I could join you here and you can talk my ear off with your movie commentary. The point is that you won't be spending your birthday alone."
His words left you stunned to near silence. "I uhm--I'll go get dressed then." You stepped back from his hold, an irrational part of you already missing his touch, awkwardly waving toward the sitting area. "I'll be out in a few minutes."
Once you'd started to make your way up the stairs, Conrad made his way to the living area of your house, a smile making its way to his face as he looked at the framed pictures you had on your shelves, your dimpled toothy grin on full display. "Oh, Y/N," he breathed your name almost reverently in the silence. "How the hell am I going to move on from you now?"
Earlier today when you'd all disembarked off the ship, he had plans to wash up and head off to a bar to look for someone to keep him company for the night, perhaps until Monday when you were all expected to return to Monarch for briefing on your next mission. All he wanted was to find someone who held even the faintest resemblance to you and lose himself in the chimera that you were the one he was with, that he held you in his arms as he woke up that next morning, and with that indulgence to tide him over for some time, perhaps he could maintain the professional, nearly friendly, relationship that he had with you without running the risk of putting that in jeopardy all because he couldn't keep his affections in check.
Those plans all went down the drain when he saw how you were fighting back tears explaining how your plans for tonight had gone off the rails. When his choices for how to spend the night were spending a few empty hours with someone he would meticulously compare to you or making sure that your birthday wasn't going to be spent alone and licking wounds that should never have been dealt to you in the first place, there was no choice to make.
Tonight's objective was simply to wipe the frown away from your perfectly enchanting face, perhaps even get you to smile. And maybe somewhere along the way finally get you to see him as someone more than just your colleague. Someone that cared. A friend, if he was really going to push it.
And maybe if he was going to entertain the moon shot that played in his most self-indulgent daydreams…a lover.
The sound of you clearing your throat brought him out of his thoughts, the sight of you in your simple pale blue dress with a slight teasing cutout by your waist stealing every bit of his breath away. "Too much?" you asked him, your tone shaky.
"Not at all," he croaked out, clearing his throat before speaking again. "You uhm…you look--You're beautiful." The tiniest smile played at your lips as you motioned for him to follow you to the door. "You always are," he murmured under his breath.
"What was that?" you called out absentmindedly, still steadily making your way to the front door.
"N-Nothing," he stammered. "I was just…admiring your home. It's lovely."
"It's too damn big is what it is," you scoffed as he passed you at the threshold before locking the door. "That's what I get for being perpetually alone, I guess. Just my luck that every guy I ever even tried to date fully expects me to hang up my coat and give up my research so I can play housewife." Your eyes misted over again as the next words came out. "Not a single soul on God's green earth that could deal with that." You turned the key with a little more force than necessary, the lock clicking into place with a resounding knock.
When the two of you made your way to his car, he opened the door for you, your disbelief at the gesture evident in your eyes. And when he was sure that you wouldn't be able to hear him through the car's closed door, he whispered to himself, "I could deal with that. If it meant that you were mine, I could deal with anything."

With night approaching and the villagers happy that their nightmare is over they set up a massive festival in the town center a large bonfire being the focus, food vendors went all out with cooking Sanji of course wanting to help out sharing some techniques and recipes with the towns folk. Bars brought out drinks for everyone Zoro and Franky mainly trying to get their hands on whatever they could while Brook joined the band in music. Most of the crew were off the ship at the party enjoying the celebrations, dancing, singing, eating and drinking. Meanwhile, you and Chopper were on the sunny. You've had a few hours of rest and Chopper made sure you were patched up. it was hard for the doctor at first when Sanji got a good look of your neck and started fussing over you and Zoro refusing to leave the room even for a moment. Zoro wouldn't let Chopper deal with the cut on his arm until he knew you were taken care of and it ended up with you pulling on his ear telling him to just let Chopper work. It ended though thanks to Nami and Luffy who got the two to leave you and chopper alone for a few hours dragging the two away form the sunny and to the festival. Now that you were well rested, patched up and in a new change of clothes, you and Chopper headed off the ship and to where the party was being held.
"Thanks again Chopper and sorry about Sanji and Zoro. is your voice ok?" you ask since Chopper had to yell at the two boys multiple times almost straining his voice "Its no problem and my voice is fine. Although a cold fruit drink would be nice" the reindeer smiled up at you holding your hand as you two walked into the town "Well lets go and find you one then" You commented picking the doctor up in your arms and carrying him the rest of the way "I can walk you know, you lost too much blood to carry me" he yelled at you worried about you exhausting yourself "Oh but Doctor Chopper your super light plus you've been so hard at work being a great doctor how can i not help you out" your sweet words seemed to make the deer happy smiling big but trying to act like he didn't care. Making it to the village you walked up to one of the bars serving drinks only to hear one of your favorite voices "Oi. i was wondering when you would be joining us" Zoro laughed a large bottle of sake in one hand while the other went around your shoulder pulling you in closer to kiss your forehead "Thanks Chopper" The swords man smiles down at the doctor in your arms who squirm a little "Thanking me isn't gonna make me happy or anything" you giggle setting him down and ordering a drink for chopper and yourself both none alcoholic since Chopper can't have it and with the meds Chopper gave you there's no way you should be drinking.
With drinks in hand the three of you walked out the bar into the crowded streets immediately spotting Luffy and Usopp dancing together next to the brightly lite bonfire , a few other people joining them. Robin and Franky were sitting over on a bench nearby with a bunch of people around them as Franky showed off and Robin seemed to be talking, probably telling them about the vampire. Brook was on the big stage with his guitar and singing people cheering for him and dancing to his music while Nami seemed to be on the stage with him dancing away with some other girls. "I'm gonna join luffy and Usopp. Don't do too much ok" Chopper smiles up at you patting your leg before running off to join his captain and sniper. "Where's sanji?" you ask looking at Zoro who points over to some massive grills Sanji being in the middle cooking up something amazing while the surrounding cooks watched in aw. "Of course... showing off" you laughed the swords man join in and walking you over to the cook his arm now around your waist. He didn't want to show it, but he was still concerned for you, the bit on your neck looked bad and Chopper said you lost a lot of blood even though you acted perfectly fine.
Flipping knives into the air Sanji cut up fish, meat and vegetables throwing them into a wok on the big gill and frying them to perfection before adding some pasta and sauce flipping it all together so it mixed well. He was so focused on his cooking he didn't notice you and Zoro walk up to watch the show. Adding salt pepper and some spices he flipped it one more time before putting it into several bowls placing them down for people to eat. he kept two though placing them on the table behind him. The crowd clapped and thanked him for the food while the cook and food vendors starting asking question, your laugh thru the noise caught Sanji's attention looking up to see you and Zoro. He grabbed the two bowls from behind him and excused his way thru the cooks to get to the two of you a big smile on his face "Your up. i was going to head to the sunny and give you this" The cook smiles down at you but when you reached for the bowl and thanked him he pulled it away "Oh no my love, you need to save your energy so I'll feed you" Sanji laughs Zoro shaking his head and taking the other bowl off the cook after removing his hand from your hip "You just want an excuse to feed her" The swords man teased earning a pout from the cook and a look that told him to shut up.
The three of you sat yourselves down on one of the many curved cushioned benches Zoro sitting on your right side while Sanji sat on your left feeding you with a fork watching your face smile with the flavor of his food "Sanji, this is amazing" you say covering you mouth since it still have food in it, your words make the cook smile wider and blush slightly "Its always a joy to hear you say that my love" Zoro looks over at you two with a smile digging into his food "Aren't you eating?" he asks Sanji knowing full well that the bowl he's holding is for you and you only. "Oh I'll get something later" Sanji waves off the question only to have a fork full of food shoved in his face "Here at least have a little" Zoro held the fork out for the cook who took a moment before giving in and taking the food enjoying the flavor of his own creation. Zoro repeated this a few times while Sanji made sure you ate until the food was all gone. The three of you rested Sanji's back against the arm of the chair as your back laid in his chest between his legs, Your legs and one of Sanji's resting on Zoro's lap while the swords man leaned back and looked up at the night sky covered in starts. Music playing in the back ground and the warmth of the bonfire made this moment perfect in your eyes. Sanji's hands went to yours resting on your lap and interlocked his fingers with yours while Zoro rubbed your leg his light touch almost tickling you.
"What do you want?" Zoro's voice spoke out of the blue sensing someone staring at you three, a young girl stepped out of the crowd and walked over to you three. Zoro and Sanji remembered her right away the girl from the office, she was dressed nice but messing with her hands in an attempt to calm herself down "Hello again" Sanji greeted getting the young girl's attention, she smiled a little at him before turning her attention to you. Confused you look from Zoro to Sanji and then to the girl who quickly bowed "Im so sorry" she almost yelled staying down waiting for you to berate her. "For what?" you ask wondering why she was doing this "She's from the town hall, tried to hide where you were from us" Zoro spoke up trying to clear things up only for Sanji to nudge him with his foot "she did help us" Zoro turned to give Sanji an annoyed look "Yea after we kicked the shit out of her boss" Finally getting the picture you reach her hand out and place it on her shoulder, her head shooting up to look at it "Its ok. Its not like your the one who grabbed me" you say leaning back against Sanji as the girl stands up straight "But.. I- i was supposed to be in the line up. i watched you get taken and.." You stopped her leaning over and placing a hand on her small head "Hay stop that" you say ruffling her hair "Its over now and you made up for it by helping my boys out so there's nothing to be sorry about" you smile pulling away.
"Your too nice" Zoro mutters into his bottle with a smug smile turning your attention to Zoro you take the bottle from his hands hold it away form him as he reaches for it laughing watching him struggle for it "Hay that's not fair" He yells trying to grab the drink from you while also trying not to lean on you. Getting an idea Zoro's hands grab your ankles and pull you closer to him your legs being separated by his waist as he leans over you and grabs the bottle from your hands "Little shit" he calls you with a smug smile "You deserved that Zoro for being mean to the young lady" Sanji laughs watching the two of you, Zoro's free hand runs up the cooks leg "You want wanna go cook" The two playfully snarling at each other. The young girl couldn't help but let out a laugh, the three of you turning to look at her confused. She wipes some tears away trying to calm herself down "You know i didn't get it before but now i do" she states calming down and smiling at the three of you "I hope to have a relationship like yours one day" her smile grows bigger before bowing again "Thank you for everything" she says before running off.
"Strange girl" You and Zoro comment but shrug it off Sanji on the other hand blushing like crazy his hand over his mouth and cheeks to cover it up but you and Zoro notice. Zoro takes his last swig of the bottle before putting it down and leaning over you, your face almost in his bare chest as he reaches to pull Sanji's hand away from his face "Is my prince blushing?" the swords man asks feeling cocky enough to pull the cook by his tie and crashing his lips onto Sanji's. The blonde cook couldn't help but lean in placing one hand on Zoro's shoulder and the other sliding down to meet your cheek. You laid there enjoying the view of Zoro's bare chest and the two kissing above you the night sky barley visible. The two pull away before looking down at you, Zoro moved back a bit and places his hand on either side of your head leaning over you your noses almost touching "You want some too?" he asks earning a nod from you, his lips met yours and you could taste the sake on his lips and the slight hit of smoke from sanji's. Your hand reached up and into his hair taking a fist full to pull him closer prompting the swords man to shove his tongue into your mouth. You couldn't help but moan into him using on of your legs to hook around his waist. he pulled away at the feeling laughing a little. "We're in public baby" he whispers down to you so only you and Sanji can hear "Sorry" you whisper back Zoro helping you sit up right.
Sanji moves his legs round so you can sit up right on the bench taking your hand and kissing it once your sat up "Come here my love, i want to hold you" Sanji helps you over onto his lap so your straddling him and your arms are around his neck. Leaning his back against the bench Sanji reaches out for Zoro who moves in closer laying his head on the cooks shoulder "Im so glad to have you back.. dont ever leave us." Sanji's hand runs over your cheek and down to your neck running over the bandage covering the bit. You take his hand and bring it to your lips "You know i would never leave you two willingly" leaning in to place a soft kiss on his lips. Sanji's hand went down to your lower back rubbing it lightly as his tongue slipped into your mouth. Normally he would ask for permission to enter by licking your lip or biting your lip, but he was needy tonight after almost losing you. You let him do as he pleased knowing he needed the comfort that words couldn't give. You stayed like that enjoying his lips on yours until air was needed pulling away panting and a little light-headed "You ok?" Zoro noticed holding your cheek "Yea i'm fine." you lie while laying your head down on Sanji's shoulder, Zoro seemed to notice keeping his hand on your cheek and watching your tired eyes "You're tired. Do you want to head back to the sunny?" he asks sanji running a hand thru your hair "No.. i wanna stay here" you whisper trying to stay awake. You wanted to stay here with them, just like this, you felt so loved, warm and comforted "Its ok love, if you fall asleep I'll carry you back later" Sanji's words made your body relax against him letting sleep take over you.

Heart Event @ 2:
Kyle is outside with his brother, one of the rare times he's free from working. He's sitting on the bench at the park reading through his medical files. Ike is playing by himself looking a little lonely. Farmer walks up and sees him sadly rocking on the spring rider. Ike tells the Farmer that he misses playing with his brother, it just seems like he never has time for him anymore. Farmer thinks for a moment before walking over to Kyle, who only notices them when they sit down. He greets them with a smile, quickly going back to his reading. >> Do you ever take a break? How can you be on your laptop right now? It's so nice out! (-) >> Ike looks a little sad, doesn't he? (+) If First Option: Kyle gets slightly annoyed, Farmer should know better than anyone here that he can't just stop working. He notes rather dryly he would have thought he'd be free of their lecturing, seeing as he gets enough of it from Stan.
"I appreciate your concern really, but I'm this towns only doctor last time I checked. I happen to like reading outside."
If Second Option: Kyle looks up from his laptop with concern on his face. He frowns when he realizes that he's been ignoring his brother, and how Ike is rocking back and forth with no care. Turning to the Farmer, he expresses gratitude for bringing it to his attention. He feels back for not seeing it himself, he was just hoping to catch up a little on work before he went home. He closes his laptop, putting it to the side, and stands up. Farmer jumps up with them and offers to play with him and his brother!
"Then I hope you're ready for the longest game of hide-n-seek of your life. You didn't have anything planned for the rest of the day right?"
Heart Event @ 4:
Kyle visits the Farmer early in the morning, greeting them while they're walking to the shipping bin. He apologizes for showing up unannounced. He would have called but he didn't think the Farmer would be able to hear the phone from the fields. Farmer doesn't seem to mind which makes him feel better, physically relaxing. Looking past them, he compliments their hard work on turning the fields into an actual farm. Afterwards he goes on to tell them that their crops have made things better even if they don't realize it. Tells them that the fresh food is better for the townsfolk than Jojo's food. >> I don't actually do that much farming. I'm more into fishing or mining. (/) >> Thanks Kyle! It's nice to get a little appreciation! (/) >> I didn't think of it that way...you really think of everything huh? (/) If First Option: Kyle goes quiet, the longer the silence the more his face turns red. Embarrassment dusting his cheeks. Under his breath he says something about the farm at least looking clean.
"At least your farm looks cleaner then Mr. Marsh's. Smells better too."
If Second Option: Kyle chuckles and tells them there's no reason to thank them! He's in the same boat sometimes and that even now he's here's to do his job. He wonders if anyone else has been out this way yet?
"I just realized you haven't had a checkup with me yet. Swing by the clinic okay? I don't want you to get sick."
If Third Option: Farmer turns the table on them, Kyle gets flustered over the small praise. At least he takes it as praise. He scoffs, telling them to stop being so humble. Being a Farmer is hard work and they should realize the good they do.
"Please. Not just anyone can get Cartman to eat a vegetable. You're good at what you do!"
Heart Event @ 5:
Next time Farmer walks into the clinic they walk back into Kyle's office. He's surprised to actually see them, telling them that he is pleased that he didn't have to drag them in. When Farmer looks at him confused, Kyle tells them that sometimes he has to go and "collect" some of the townsfolk for their appointments. So, it's nice that there's someone else so willing to come in. After a moment he gets a little embarrassed that he started rambling again. Farmer is just easy to talk to, they listen. Before they can comment on the blush on his face, he gets down to business. Kyle opens his laptop and looks up at them, he begins to ask Farmer about themselves, wanting an insight on their medical history.
"Sorry, you didn't come here to listen to me complain. It's just easy to talk to you. A-anyway, before I keep making an ass of myself, lets get started on filling out your medical history!"
Heart Event @ 6:
Farmer is walking from town to the mountains, they can hear faint shouting. Walking closer, they see Kyle and Ike standing next to the mountain lake away from Kenny's house. Ike is sitting on the wooden bridge with his face in his hands, looking more and more upset. When Farmer gets close enough to hear what they're saying clearly, they overhear what the argument is about. Kyle is upset that Ike's grades are slipping, telling him that he needs to put in a little more effort in school. Apparently, he's been blowing off his homework and Heidi is having a hard time getting him to pay attention in class. Ike complains that all Kyle ever talks to him about is how he's doing in school and his stupid job, that he doesn't care to ask Ike about anything else. He asks him when was the last time they did anything fun that didn't require the Farmer having to all but pull him away from work. Ike cuts Kyle off before he can rebuttal. Shouting something about how he's acting just like their mother and he's supposed to be his brother, not his parent! Kyle gets upset and snaps back at him, telling him that he won't apologize for caring about Ike's well being and he wouldn't have to act like their mother if Ike just grew up a little. This makes Ike tear up, he stands up and shouts that he should just go back to the city then. Kyle stands there watching his brother storm off, leaving him alone next to the lake, he looks destroyed. Farmer walks out from where they were hiding, and when Kyle doesn't get upset that Farmer was listening in they know he's really torn up. It takes him some time but he eventually address them, telling them that he never meant to fill the role of a parent. He knows he's hard on Ike, he just wants to see his little brother grow into the best version of himself. The Valley is good to him, better then the city was. He knows it's good for Ike too.
"Am I being that overbearing? I mean...I'm in charge of him. I promised Ma that I'd look after him! I'm not asking for much right? Just for him to apply himself more!"
>> Maybe you're not as right as you think you are. (-) >> Does he know that? Have you told him how you feel? (+) >> I don't think you're really listening to your brother. (+) >> Lighten up Kyle, he's just throwing a tantrum. He'll get over it. (-) If First Option: Kyle looks up with a flash of anger in his eyes, he can't believe what he's hearing. How could Farmer say something like that? He thought they were friends! As Kyle storms off he glares at them.
"Jesus Christ, if you talk to your friends like this then I'd hate to hear how you talk to people you hate!"
If Second Option: Kyle thinks on both Farmer and Ike's words. Like he's replaying the whole thing in his head again. When was the last time he talked to Ike about how he feels? About anything that wasn't him being a hard ass.
"No...I guess I haven't. Ugh I'm an asshole, he deserves to be a kid. I really do sound like our mom. Thanks for listening again Farmer."
If Third Option: Kyle's brows furrow, he wants to be upset but Farmer's right. He makes his frustration known and somehow in the same breath is grateful that Farmer said it. He tells Farmer that this isn't the first time their stubborn attitudes have clashed. Something they both get from their Mother.
"I think if you were anyone else I would be furious but...you're right. It does make me feel a little better to know I'm not the only one who's stubborn. I'll apologize to him in the morning. Goodnight and thank you Farmer."
If Fourth Option: Kyle snaps as that comment strikes a nerve. He goes to yell again but he just stops, closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath. When he opens his eyes he looks past them and wishes them a good night. Leaving them alone because just the thought of responding to that is exhausting.
Heart Event @ 8:
It's late, later than Farmer realized. As they go to leave the mines, a group of Shadow beasts corner them. It cuts to them limping out of the mines. Beaten down and exhausted, they collapse against the side of the mountain. The last thing they see is Kyle running over to them and the dim light of a flashlight. When they wake up again, they're laying in one of the beds of Kyle's clinic. Their wounds are bandaged and cleaned. Looking over in a daze, Kyle's eyes meet theirs and there's a look of relief. He closes the first aid kid sitting next to them, picks up the medical tools and puts them away. Farmer can hear him breathing deeply, like this is the first time he's able to. Eventually he breaks the silence, speaking as softly as he can. He scolds them for being reckless, and that they're lucky that Ned was nearby to hear that fight. Kyle stops in the middle of his lecture, catching himself doing it again. Lectures are the last thing Farmer needs right now, they need sleep. Farmer just smiles and shakes their head at him and it almost makes Kyle laugh. He can't believe the energy they have, how they're even awake right now. He promises to keep them company, that he'll be right here for them when they wake up. Time passes again as Farmer drifts back to sleep, when they wake up again they see Kyle asleep in the chair next to them.
"Do you have any idea how worried I was?! Seeing you bleeding out in the dirt like that! I know you can be more responsible then that, what were you-.... no I'm doing it again. I'm sorry. Look just get some sleep, you need to rest." - "What? I'm not going anywhere, someone has to look over you and make sure you actually get rest. I swear I'll turn my back and you'll try and get out of that bed."
When given the bouquet:
"!! Y-You're not fucking with me right? This isn't just some cruel prank? ...Then of course I will- be your partner that is!"
Heart Event @ 10:
Farmer walks outside of their house to Kyle sitting on their porch. A picnic basket sitting next to him, a bottle of wine sticking out of the basket, and a red-checkered blanket tucked neatly inside. When he hears the doo open he perks up and stands up quickly. With a grin on his face, he greets them with an energetic good morning. He holds up the basket telling them that he wants to take them out. The day is beautiful and he intends to spend as much of it with them. Farmer agrees, leaving the farm going south past Tegridy Farms. Kyle takes them near the cliffs overlooking the ocean. The two sit there enjoying the picnic that Kyle's put together. When he sees how happy Farmer is with the food, he goes on to tell them that he learned how to cook from his Mother. The conversation leads him to ramble about how he was the only one who could cook in the friend group for a while. That Stan used to beg him to make dinner so he didn't have to eat with his family. Farmer continues to just look happy with everything. Good food and getting to listen to him talk about his best friend, watching as he lights up! Then they feel a rain drop hit their forehead. Looking up, the two se as the sky starts to darken and rain clouds begin to roll in. Immediately Kyle throws his jacket over the Farmer and urgently moves them towards the trees. As the rain starts to come down harder, Kyle looks so disappointed. Farmer takes their hand giving it a little squeeze, breaking down that wall of anxiety. He lets out a sigh, expressing his frustration. He tells them that he wanted today to be perfect, now it's ruined because of the rain. Farmer laughs and pulls them down, planting a kiss on their cheek. Kyle's face turns red from the sweet action. He goes to kiss them back, to return the kiss, but as he does water drops down from the top of the trees. They're both soaked now, water clinging to their clothes. Kyle looks down and just laughs. He wraps an arm around them and pulls them in for a kiss. Pulling away, he brushes his fingers across their face and whispers.
"You always find a way to make things better. I don't feel like I have to be perfect all the time, that it's okay to mess up because I know you'll still love me. My worries just seem to melt away. I love you so much."
Heart Event @ 14:
Ever since Kyle moved in he's slowed down, taking better care of himself. No longer piling too much on his plate, so it surprises the Farmer to se him falling back into old habits. Kyle is pacing around the house in a huff. Ike tells the Farmer that their parents called and that they're making a surprise visit soon. Kyle stops his frantic cleaning for just a moment to stress how much he hates this. He's worried that they're going to be mad because he didn't invite them to the wedding, even when they already reassured him that they're not. Farmer questions why they're coming, which Kyle just sighs and tells them that they want to meet his partner. Farmer reassures Kyle that everything will be fine, that they can't wait to meet his parents. He just grumbles and tells them to hold off on that excitement. Once again Farmer calms the man down, Kyle takes a deep breath and watches his beloved partner get to work. Between the two of them and Ike, they're able to get everything together. Just as dinner is finished, Kyle's parents arrive. Kyle introduces the Farmer to his parents who immediately start gushing over them. The dinner table is set and soon the entire family is sitting around the, making small talk. Sheila starts asking Farmer a list of questions, trying to get to know them. Why did they become a Farmer? What drew them to the Valley? >> Honestly? I needed to start over. Grandpa gave me a second chance and I guess I just fell in love with this little town. >> The city life was too loud. I needed something quiet and easy. >> The Valley needed help! I couldn't just ignore it! If First Option: Sheila smiles and puts her hand on her chest. She tells the Farmer that it's incredibly sweet of their grandfather to look after them. She thinks it's great that they love the town that Kyle grew up in! If Second Option: Sheila doesn't agree that the city is that bad, but she goes on to tell the Farmer she grew up a city girl. She does agree that city life can sweep you away if you're not careful, she's glad the Farmer taught Kyle to slow down. If Third Option: Sheila isn't quite sure she understands what Farmer is trying to get at, but if it's what drives them then who is she to argue? She's just happy that Ike's grades have improved and that Kyle is happy. Either way dinner is lively, once they're finished they thank the Farmer for everything. For taking care of their sons and welcoming them into their lovely home. Sheila admits that she was skeptical at first but after seeing how Kyle looks at the Farmer, she's wholeheartedly approves of their marriage. They leave with a quick hug, letting Kyle know that they'll be staying at the tavern for a few days before going home. As they make the trip back to town, Kyle wraps his arm around the Farmer and smiles softly.
"They really like you, not that I had any doubts they wouldn't. You're amazing. I always knew you were, ever since you moved to this town. I'm just glad they love you almost as much as I do."

Hey if youve got any inkling for ideas, would you write a monster trio + law headcanon with an s/o that is disabled and needs a cane?
I love your stuff and I hope youre having a good start to the new year
hello first of,, thank you so much! i’m glad you like my work! second off,, i’d like to add the disclaimer that i do not use a cane so i’m sorry if it seems a little inaccurate but i hope you enjoy!
monster trio + law with a s/o who uses a cane
warnings: boys being dumb? does that count? some parts seem like a crack fic luffy and zoro, many a mention of being carried for various reasons,,
Tumblr media
MONKEY D. LUFFY
100% asks if he can use it. i don’t make the rules
most likely has zero clue why you use it so you’ll have to explain it to him
totally on board though, he thinks it’s bad ass that you’re still a pirate despite your disability.
he’s always making sure that you’re okay after a fight even if you don’t need it
will offer to carry you if you don’t feel up to walking
probably has asked usopp to make you a cane that doubles as a weapon
“hey y/n?”
“yeah, luffy?”
“why do you use that wooden thing?”
“uhh, it’s a cane luffy. i use it to help me walk.”
“oh.” he thinks for a moment, “can i use it? my legs hurt.”
you’ll just have to laugh it off and let him have at it or he’ll be begging for hours
8/10 would super sweet about it but will ask for his own to match
Tumblr media
VINSMOKE SANJI
cane? nah he’ll carry you everywhere
no seriously
seldom does he let you walk on your own
he’s not doing it to be patronizing or anything, he just doesn’t want his beloved to have to exert themselves when he is more than capable to help!
the type of boyfriend to help you up stairs or ramps by spotting you by holding your back gently.
“mon chéri, please allow me!” sanji gently guided you up onto the ship making sure you don’t slip, “we can’t have you getting hurt!”
“thank you sanji.”
he’ll scoff, “there’s no need to thank me, i’ll always help you, my love.”
Tumblr media
RORONOA ZORO
also has zero clue why you need a cane
has offered you one of his swords to use if it gets misplaced before and will do it again
another ‘i’ll just carry you’ but exclusively if you need to move quickly
“is this thing even sturdy” knocks it right out of your hand
says an ‘i told you so’ then apologize when he gets a glare from sanji
will use your cane as a weapon if he needs to. or when he doesn’t tbh
has been in a bar fight and used it to sneak out
“there’s no way this thing is sturdy enough for you to be dependent on it,” he didn’t necessarily mean it in a bad way, he’s just looking out for you, “see watch,”
and it snaps in half with a kick, the sheepish look on his face says it all, “why would you do that.”
“i told you so.” he shrugs and offers to carry you wherever until he can get it fixed is very sorry but won’t admit it
Tumblr media
TRAFALGAR D. WATER LAW
finally someone with competence
has offered before to try and fix whatever the issue is
bepo pointed out that it seemed kinda rude to say that so he apologized and hasn’t brought it up since
makes sure your cane is stable enough for it to be safe to use on certain terrains
has used it before to wake everyone up by slamming it on the floor
“i’m not sure this will work to well on this island.”
“law it will be fine, it’s not the first time i—”
“yes i know but we’ll be doing a lot of walking on rough terrain. and as your doctor—”
“speak to me as my boyfriend, not my doctor.”
“your boyfriend has the same opinion.” bepo will be carrying you all day.

Ok we need to talk.
Or better put it, I need to talk.
Relationships platonic and romantic have been faltering for the past few years to “situation-ships” and one sided relationships. This might be controversial but hear me out. As a person who dealt with break ups and cut offs over the span of less than three months, I am honestly more disappointed than just mad. I feel like it should be talked about more than o already is because it’s to the point that people like me get literally depressed over this type of stuff.
It feels like I’m just a rag doll being tossed around for people to toy with, but not to keep. There’s a difference between wanting someone to play, and someone to stay. Love platonic and romantic will be painful. But at least make the person feel welcome and loved until you can’t anymore. Instead of fleeing the moment something goes wrong.
Sometimes all a person needs is company. And sometimes all company needs is a person. In my school I see people one day walking with their friends and lover all giggly and happy, and the other day they’re fighting. That’s just how my recent relationships were. And I’m guilty that I let that happen to me. They talked behind my back, they put their hands on me, they insulted me. All this stuff, and I gave them nothing but grace and respect. And I was the blame when I was in my room crying myself to sleep on February 11th 2024.
I put my all into them. All my money, all my art, all my time, all my love, all my life. Hell it was to the point where I couldn’t go a day without him. That’s how bad it was. It was a point where I couldn’t even eat and take care of myself without him on my mind. Looking back at it, I feel pretty pathetic, but of course, I couldn’t just say that to myself. I would need to learn from it.
Not my ex, not my money, not my friends, but me. Friends who knew each other for a week are laughing in the hallways, meanwhile a friends friend is telling me to get her packet that she left behind. Why am I the one who is getting hurt? I deserve love just like everyone else. Maybe it’s my fashion? Maybe it’s my personality? Maybe it’s my body? Who knows. But that shouldn’t be the reason why people leave me without any thought or explanation whatsoever. I should be angry. Livid even, fighting and insulting the people who hurt me just like they did to me.
I should be crying and lashing out at everyone because I was the one who was hurt. That should make me sit in my room and not take care of myself. That should make me have 0 restraint with my emotions, like i used to. But I choose not to. I choose not to let my emotions get the best of me, like I used to. Don’t get me wrong I wish things were different. I wish I had a loving boyfriend and a fun group of friends. But at the end of the day, all I have is myself. And I learned that the hard way. Relationships are a sacred thing.
Especially to the ones that feel large emotions, especially to the ones who are passionate. Especially to the ones like me. When I was little and to this day, the doctor said that I’m emotionally mature, meaning that I have a good grasp at explaining and expressing my emotions. When I was in elementary school, I was taunted for that, being called a cry baby, or sensitive for hurting myself on the monkey bars or something. Because of that, I stayed away from anything that would actively hurt me, like needles or sharp edges. Ever since then I have learned to keep my emotions under control, or under wraps.
Take my control as a glass. And take my emotions as wine. If you pour too much into the glass. It’ll break. But not just that. It’ll break and spill. That’s what always happened to me when I was younger. Of course, I have better control because I’m more mature. But it’s not like my emotions are gone. They’re just better handled. I'm also what my father likes to call it, passionate. That means that when I get attached to something or some emotion. I latch onto it like a koala on a branch. And I don’t let go. If you show me an ounce of love or affection, then I will cling to you.
Especially if it’s romantic. And it shows. If I love someone, I will talk about them whether it’s verbally, writing or drawing it down, or just floating my mind. And that will just make me more attached, like a dopamine hit. Like a drug.
He was a drug.
And it’s my fault that I got addicted. It was my fault that the drug was forced away from me. It was my fault that the drug was taken from me. But was it my fault that the drug was bad?? No. But that doesn’t excuse my actions. The upside to me being passionate is me being self aware about the situation. Sure, I cried and cried about him for days, but I eventually paused and went through what he did to me. And I eventually realized that he wasn’t good for me.
At all.
But I’ll give him this.
He was a good lesson.
And I’m glad I learned from it.
My father told me to not fight all battles, but to pick the ones you want to fight. But how about if the battles pick me? Am I supposed to surrender? Or am I obligated to just keep fighting?  Because if I am, will I win in the end?

Let Me Spin and Excite You
Fandom: Doctor Who Ships: Fifteenth Doctor/Rose Tyler Characters: Fifteenth Doctor, Rose Tyler Rating: General Word Count: 1,932 Other Tags: Reunions, Immortal Rose, Bad Wolf as Disability
Read on AO3
Summary: After years of looking for the Doctor, Rose meets a strange-but-familiar man at the club.
NOTES: i happened to finish this on esther's birthday so it's for him now. everyone say happy birthday @nounpolycule
anyway i have a ton of long wips that are going super slowly because of how grad school owns my entire soul now so this is my attempt to remind myself that i can write things that are short sometimes.
title from may i have this dance by francis and the lights. which has some of my favorite lyrics of any song and i'm forever mad at spotify for not telling me the version of it i first discovered is a cover (by meadowlark)
Rose leaned against the bar, drink in hand.
The glass was full. Half an hour, and she hadn't even taken a sip. She'd meant to try and relax a bit, let loose, but it just wasn't happening. Her head hurt, her bones ached, and she felt the ever-present exhaustion hovering over her, threatening to take her out at the knees.
Not to mention—ten years.
She'd been back in this universe for ten years. And she still hadn’t found the Doctor.
She'd tried, of course. She'd looked for unusual happenings, bumps in the timeline, anything that might indicate the presence of a haphazardly landed time ship and its ridiculous occupant. She'd chased a million leads, ironed out as many of time’s odd little wrinkles as she could manage, followed timelines across millennia—running into the Doctor should've been inevitable, after all that. And yet she still hadn’t seen them.
And now here she was, slumped against the wall, trying to convince herself that this was still the sort of thing she enjoyed.
She sighed. Maybe it was time to go. She tipped what was left of her drink into her mouth and turned to leave.
But just as she started for the door, a flurry of motion caught her eye.
She disregarded it at first. It was coming from the dance floor, for goodness sake. Surely there was enough movement there to turn anyone’s head. But—no, this was an unexpected movement. Something out of time.
Rose turned to look.
Immediately, she was transfixed.
The densely-packed crowd of dancers all but faded away around the dancer who'd caught her eye.
Beautiful was the only word for him. He practically gleamed in the club lights—the sheen of sweat on his skin somehow made him more entrancing. He moved with a fluid ease, even as the moves themselves were unlike anything anyone else was doing. And there was something about him… Rose couldn't tear her eyes away. He just looked so joyful.
Tears startled her at the corners of her eyes, and she wiped them away with the back of her hand. She missed that sort of joy—that carefree movement, lost in a sea of people.
To hell with it. One dance wouldn't kill her. Rose took a step towards the dance floor.
Never mind. Maybe it would kill her, figuratively speaking. The bright lights and loud noises were doing nothing for her headache. Why had she come here again? She'd enjoyed nightclubs, once, but since then every cell in her body had surely changed, fallen away only to be wholly replaced. She could hardly expect to be the same person she was.
Still. It was nice to indulge the fantasy.
The dancing man had his hands above his head, skirt fanning out as he twirled. As Rose watched, he came to a stop, and then—
Was he looking at her?
Rose fiddled with the hem of her jacket. She probably looked out of place, in long pants and a full-on leather jacket, with barely any makeup. She hadn't minded, but now she'd been caught out, staring unabashedly at this man, and her usual armor wasn't quite right for the scenario.
The man stepped off the dance floor. He walked like he was still dancing, with graceful, deliberate steps. Rose forced her eyes to stay trained on the dance floor as he walked past her, presumably to the bar.
She'd been standing for too long. If she wasn't going to leave the club, she needed to find a place to sit. She looked around. Most of the tables were completely full—but then she noticed a group of people getting up, and Rose hurried over to take their table before anyone else could claim it. She kept an idle eye on the dance floor. She wasn’t up for it now—but a hundred years ago, she would've been there, carefree and having the time of her life.
There was movement in her periphery. She looked towards it only to see the man from earlier, now lowering himself into the chair next to her. He was holding two glasses.
“This your drink?” he asked, offering one to her.
Rose eyed him. “How’d you know?”
“Lucky guess.” He settled into the chair. “D’you come here a lot, then?”
Rose burst out laughing. “You're really opening with the oldest line in the book?”
“I didn't mean it like that.” He flashed a smile. “I'm not from around here. Don't know the scene.”
Rose hesitated. “It's not my usual haunt, no.” She raised her eyebrows at him. “Where are you from, then?”
He waved a hand. “Here and there.”
“How specific.” Rose felt herself start to smile. “And, I have to ask. Why are you here?”
“What?”
Rose nodded at the dance floor. “You've got a whole club to talk to. What are you doing here?”
He pointed at her. “You were looking at me.”
“Can't imagine I'm the only one,” Rose said, and then she blushed. She hadn't meant to be flirting—but, well, why shouldn't she? It would be ludicrous to pretend she wasn't attracted. “Why me?”
“Why not you?” He raised his eyebrows. “Got a big old skeleton in your closet, have you?”
“I've barely got a closet,” Rose said, truthfully. She kept a small flat, but it wasn't really home to her. No need for closet space, not when she hadn't bought new clothes in four years. “No room for skeletons.”
“That's a shame.” The man grinned. “There's always under the bed, I suppose.”
The space under Rose’s bed was full of random bits of alien tech she hadn't gotten around to investigating. “Not my bed,” she said. “No room, what with all the doodads I've got.”
“That's a technical term, is it?” He was smiling.
Rose smiled back. “Oh, yeah, definitely. I'm great with doodads.”
“How about thingamajigs?”
“Absolutely. One hundred percent. I'm there.”
He and Rose grinned at each other, and suddenly Rose was sitting in a chippy just off the Powell Estate, her feet knocking against the Doctor’s as they laughed.
She blinked.
That feeling—the fizzy joy of an easy back-and-forth—it had been at least ten years since she’d felt that way. It was nearly alien to her now.
But… it was nice. And there was no harm in it, was there? If this frankly gorgeous man wanted to buy her a drink and have a bit of flirty banter—well, she wasn't exactly going to say no.
The man gestured towards the dance floor with a flourish. “Would you like to dance?”
Rose weighed her options. There was a reason she’d held back, before. But… this was different. Unwise as dancing may be, this man was very quickly beginning to seem worth the sacrifice.
“Yeah, all right,” she said. She smiled. “Show me your moves.”
The man’s face lit up. He held out a hand to Rose, and she took it, allowing him to lead her to the dance floor. Before, when she was watching him, she’d felt like he reflected light outward, shining on the whole club, and now she shared in his glow, moving without care, lost in the light and sound, anchored entirely by this strange man’s hands at her waist.
It was the most she’d been touched in years. She felt a bit intoxicated—or maybe that was the alcohol—a bit light-headed—or maybe she’d just been upright too long—a bit exhilarated—and there was no way to explain that away.
The dance felt like it lasted forever, but both common sense and time sense told Rose it could've only been a few minutes before she started to feel out of breath.
“You all right?” He had to yell in her ear to be heard.
“Yeah, fine!” Rose hesitated. “D’you want to get out of here?”
“Thought you’d never ask.” His hand fit wonderfully around hers, and they stepped out onto the street together. The cool evening air was a welcome respite from the warm fervor of the club. Rose laughed to feel it on her face.
“Where are we going?” she asked.
The man gestured. “My place is just around the corner, if that's all right with you.”
Rose glanced at him. He was still grinning, still gorgeous, his face illuminated by the bright neon of the club’s sign. This night had been strange in the best way—she hardly objected to continuing it. “Lead the way, then.”
His grin grew, as if that was even possible, as if he had infinite capacity for joy. Together, they walked to the street corner—turned—
Rose felt it before she saw it. A rushing familiarity, a glorious sense of home, a giant weight lifted from her bones. She blinked. There it was: a wooden blue police box, innocently positioned in the center of a streetlight’s beam.
The TARDIS.
Her brain was short-circuiting. She'd stopped walking. She was staring. The TARDIS was here. The TARDIS was here, which meant the Doctor was here. The Doctor was—
She looked back at the man she was walking with. He was still grinning, his gaze fixed entirely, expectantly, on Rose.
Rose gasped. Her body felt like it was on fire. She looked from him to the TARDIS—back to him—her lips parted—she breathed out—and on her breath there was a name.
“Doctor?”
The look in his eyes was so achingly tender she wanted to cry. When he said her name, it sounded the same as it always had—low, soft, with an echo of reverence. “Rose Tyler.”
She fell into him. Immediately, instinctively, his arms wrapped around her waist, and she closed her eyes.
“Why didn’t you tell me it was you?”
She felt the vibrations in his chest when he laughed.
“Thought it would be more fun if you figured it out for yourself. And I was right, if you were wondering.”
He pulled back. His eyes met hers, and she stared, trying her hardest to take in the collection of features that made up this Doctor’s face.
“Oh, I missed you,” he breathed.
The words sank into Rose, settled into her bones.
“Not even going to ask how you got here,” he added. “Or how long it's been.”
“Dimension cannon,” Rose said. “And—hundred years?”
“Oh! Because—”
“Bad wolf, yeah.” Rose grimaced. “Turns out looking into all of time has some side effects.”
“Oh, Rose, I'm so sorry. I should've known.”
Rose shook her head. “Water under the bridge. Don’t apologize for that.” She raised her eyebrows. “Apologize for being so bloody hard to find. Been looking for years, I have, and best I can manage is a chance encounter?”
“Ah, the TARDIS knew what she was doing, landing here.”
“Typical. Blaming the TARDIS.” Rose scoffed. “Still haven’t forgotten about twelve months.”
“That was one time!”
“Scotland? Queen Victoria? Where were we trying to go then?”
“Oi, I made it to Sheffield eventually—”
“Not with me you didn’t!”
Their eyes met, and suddenly they were both laughing, falling into each other, and the Doctor’s arm curled around Rose’s waist as he asked, “What do you say, then? Fancy a trip?”
Rose let her head fall against his side. “Fancy a good night’s sleep first.”
“Hey, I've got beds.”
Rose smiled. “I've missed that time machine of yours.”
“Just between you and me? I think she's missed you too.” The Doctor dropped his arm from Rose’s waist in favor of taking her hand, and as he entwined his fingers with hers, they stepped together in the direction of the TARDIS.

Paz lived but was sent back to earth au
Jake sent Paz back and kept spider with the intent of sending spider back when he was old enough. Ardmore wanted any marines,or pilots, which both were unlikely, who survived the first fight brought back to Pandora and Paz was brought back. The story starts when Ardmore is meeting the ones from the first war.
Paz waited annoyed, she was here to find her Nino, not meet some CEO assholes, and bitch's, She wouldn't listen to them anymore than she had Miles.... Miles, the man she loved... Still did even after 15 years of him being gone.. she still held on,she didn't even know why. She tried to date again after 5 years, but she always ended up comparing it to what she and Miles had had... She missed him so badly it hurt. Age and life had worn down the energetic, always ready to party smartass Latina everyone on Pandora had come to know... honestly? she got compared to Quaritch a lot,by the humans who'd been in charge when he was a new marine. Older, worn down and war hardened. She was still a smartass but not as jokingly childish as she had been before. But after taking two Na'vi arrows to the chest, and her ship getting shot down? No one knew, not even the doctors,How she had survived. Hell she herself didn't even know. Ardmore came walking up with her arms by her side,That was a surprise, she'd expected suits, not a military leader but years of experience and such her reaction was as instant as the others who'd come back with her. They all shot up ramrod straight with their hands up in salute. Except Paz,she just stood straighter. Ardmore looked at them all one by one but Paz caught her attention, she was younger than most, late thirties at least.
"Im General Ardmore. I was the one who offered your second tour on Pandora. Your all here because your experienced and can train humans and tell them what you know better than they do " The General introduced herself
"General Ardmore" an older guy said "Only one of us here has on hands on war with the Na'vi experience."
"Who would that be then?" Ardmore said looking at all the guys
"Lieutenant Passella Marie Socorro. First class Scorpion gunship pilot. Took two Na'vi arrows to her chest and had her ship shot down and survived" The older guy introduced Paz to the General.
"You can call me Paz. I hate being called Passella" She said arms crossed.
"Come on,Boss" Groaned Fike "We've all been stressed for months. a party's just what we all need " Quaritch rolled his eyes l,he'd been listening to their reasons to come for hours now. some science puke was throwing a party for humans, Avatars and, apparently,Recoms alike. He didn't see the point in it. He left Fike to complain by going to his room and laying down,he just stares at the top drawer of a small dresser by the bed.... His memories made the smallest things hurt. Like cooking or watching TV. His human selfs memories made it hurt like hell. Like his heart was cracked... or just not fully there... it wouldn't ever be again either. First thing he did after getting used to this body for an hour or two,was go and ask about her and the kid. He was told that Lieutenant Passella Marie Socorro was Killed in Action. And that no one had any idea what became of their son... the little baby boy that would cling to his hand or dog tags when he had to leave, the little baby boy who cried if someone other than him or his Mama held him for longer than a 30 seconds. He missed that,he missed them so badly but... Jake Sully would die,he caused the war that made him lose the only things he ever had to fight for. He didn't care about Sully's wife, she could live or die,but Jake Sully would pay for it.
"Fine,we can go" He announced to the squad who all cheered loudly.
Paz was leaning against the bar with her eyes closed, this was a little annoying. She used to love parties, but she couldn't love them anymore, not without Miles making it fun with her. She sighed and drained her bottle of whiskey, she still had a waaaaaaaaays to go before she was as fucked up as she wished she was.
"Hey girl where's the party loving Latina I remember" a doctor,Molly, she'd made friends with in the hospital asked smiling
Paz gave her a look.
"Okay, okay yeah I know. Your only her for your son. Did you hear anything about him....?" Molly asked
Paz stares at the ground. she's asked and asked. no one knew what had came to be of her precious little mini Miles. Many thought he was dead, not that they said this to her,out of fear of the woman
"No. I asked. He's supposedly still alive and with the traitor science pukes but..."Paz stopped and finished in a whisper "Sometimes I wonder what'll happen if my baby isn't alive anymore and I'm just up here waiting for him,.... when he'll never come" She shook her head and turned to leave when Molly went to dance
"Hurry up or we're gonna miss it, Colonel" Lyle called out in front of him running to were this... Party was at. nothing but a bunch of dumb kids making fools of themselves. If anything,it was gonna be a first class shit show the next day for'em. Getting up and goin bout with a hangover from hell wouldn't no fun, personal experience speaking. Sides,he was only goin for his squad and to make sure Mansk didn't have ta play babysitter for 10 drunk recoms, toddlers in adult bodies when they weren't on the battle field anyhow. He lost the squad walking as slow as possible,so used to it,e ignored what his tail was doing till someone grabbed and and smacked it. He turned on the human stupid enough or drunk enough to do it and started to growl "The fuck do yo-"
Paz got smacked by some new giant ass avatar, recom whatever the fuck they were's tail. She grabbed their tail and smacked it away turning as Snarling "Watch where your fuckin go-"
Both froze... a moment passed... then two...then three and more...
Quaritch stared. His voice caught in his throat,this.... it wasn't... couldn't. He kneeled down on one knee and reaching out to touch her face... making sure he wasn't dreaming.. and she was really here. "Paz... "
She stared as the minutes passed... she was dreaming right? She had to be dreaming but when he kneeled and touched her face, her hand shoot up and held the back of his hand... she was touching him.. It was real... She reached up with her free hand and touched his cheek tracing her fingers where his scar used to be. He froze and caught her arm by the elbow, gently and looked at her arm with a strange look, his ears twitching like he heard something. She didn't know what it was about before she realized,he was hearing her arm
"It's cybernetic" Paz said lightly "My scorpion crashed after I got shot down.. I got a cybernetic arm to replace the one I lost in the crash"
"It's cybernetic" was all he heard before his mind blanked out until "Shot Down" hit his ears he looked at her,she was wearing a tank top and shorts.. he didn't see any puncture scars from arrows on her... until she subconsciously moved the fabric of her shirt over her chest out of the way... To puncture scars were there... branding her body... Never had he wanted to tear Sully's throat out so badly than at this moment. That bastard caused the war... caused THIS to happen to Paz... Sully would die if it was the last thing he did
"They forgot your scar" Paz found herself saying before she thought about it. It snapped him out of the little state he was in and he looked at her,the smirk she loved so appeared on his face "Can't forget something ya have ta earn,Sugar" He felt his lips quirk. "Miles" She whispered
"Paz" Quaritch whispered and before he could stop himself,he leans down and forward kissing her. Paz kisses back without a second thought,.. oh how she'd missed this . Quaritch wrapped his large arms around her,God his memories didn't do the real thing justice. They kissed for what felt like hours.. They pulled back Paz's eyes were wet with tears,of happiness and love.
"Id say we could go back to my barrack... but.. I don't think you'd fit" She said playfully
"You don't need ta beat round,Mama. Let's go" Quaritch smiles, standing up and Paz follows him to his bedroom,it was just as bleak as it was when he was Human. He sat on the bed a smirked a little watching Paz struggle to get up there. Paz glares at him but gets up there none the less. Quaritch wraps his arms around her and lays back,Paz smiles and snuggles closer to him. "I've missed you so much,Mi Amor" Pa whispered
"Fifteen years is a long time ain't it" He whispered back not loosening his hold on her much smaller body.
He rolled over and let Paz lay her head on his arm and trace the glowing freckles on his face. Eventually, her eyes started to close and she pulled herself directly against his chest and he held her. Quaritch pulled the comforter up and over them whispering the words "I'll never let anything hurt you this badly ever again Paz. I'll die before I lose you again"
Wow this was long. I'm sorry it's taken so long and how long it is. It's been in my head since my "IF PAZ LIVED AU" post. I have other stuff in my drafts but this was what I chose since so many people voted Paz and Quaritch in the poll

Until Dawn: The Chat
Zoro x Sanji
Summary: The Strawhats have a costume party at an island, Zoro and Sanji finally have the chance to share things that seemed impossible.
a/n: Fluff for part one. English is not my first language, so my apologies if something sounds weird.
AO3 link
Tumblr media
Zoro contemplated how the crew moved agitatedly from one room to another looking for accessories and appropriate clothing for the costume event on the island. Robin and Nami were almost ready, they were helping each other with some details, fastening and arranging the folds of fabrics. Robin was wearing a hooded purple cloak making her look like an ancient death divinity, Nami was a sorceress in a white dress covered by a long velvet cape, and Chopper was their mysterious companion.
"It's been a long time since we've done something like this... it makes me a little anxious, I’m starting to feel sick. Who’s going to be checkin’ Merry?" Usopp said while the doctor tried to calm his insecurities.
“Chill-out, Usopp. We’re safe here, the villagers are very nice” replied Nami. “And trust me, I guess Zoro will be watching it.”
Sanji walked down the corridor, leaving behind the aroma of cigarettes. He put on elegant patent leather shoes, wearing a sober, completely black outfit.
“Wooa, Sanji, are you going as a detective?" Luffy asked as he saw him putting on a long scarlet coat.
"No, I'll make sure to go as a vampire… maybe I got the chance to surprise ladies…”
Robin approached Sanji, put a top hat on him, part of her collection, and lifted the collar of his coat. "Now you look more mysterious, cook," she giggled.
"ROBIN-CHAAAAAN, SO SWEET"
Zoro was about to fall asleep when suddenly he saw Sanji's figure kneeling in front of him.
“Marimo, are you coming with us?”
He nodded yawning.
“Oeee Zoroooo, I don't see your costume?” Luffy shouted while wearing the famous afro wig and Usopp had already entered character to act as his representative.
“I will go as a swordsman”
“Whaaaat” the whole crew exclaimed.
“At least change the outfit, loser?” Nami sighed as she stood Zoro up, she quickly led him to his room. “You have a kimono, be creative... we leave in 10 minutes.”
He left the ship following the crew. He decided to wear the nagagi and haori in a semi formal way, but it felt much more comfortable. His figure was elegant. He walked slower than other times, he didn’t want to receive any comment from the nakamas.
Sanji turned around rapidly while smoking. As soon as he detected Zoro, he felt a little dazed, in his mind he tried to remember other occasions where Marimo looked refined but couldn’t recall. He also didn't want to think about it so much, after all it was just a new Zoro’s image on his brain, he would get used to it later.
The cook’s footsteps were heard all the way to the tavern. The place was giant, it was divided into a bar with different types of liquor, live music, and a restaurant.
“Guys, this place is extremely crowded. Let’s stay in the groups we’ve planned” Nami affirmed.
As the group spreads, Sanji and Zoro reluctantly got together.
“I don’t see many ladies around, Cook”
“Oh shut up or i’ll kick you”
“I’ll be at the bar”
“Gonna check what they have on the menu, but don’t move from the bar, mosshead”
“Don’t tell me what to do” Zoro barked as he drank sake.
The lighting switched, a new band was performing and people gathered to dance. After a while, Zoro decided to go out and walk around the hall, glancing at some aisles, he was reassured to see Luffy and Usopp eating and laughing at tables in the corner.
The restaurant had a wide variety of menus, he saw Sanji in the background, talking passionately to what appeared to be the kitchen staff, his genuine smile made his blue eyes sparkle, Zoro couldn’t deny his gentle beauty, the smoothness of his costume accentuated his features and his gestures of awe did not go unnoticed either. This was one of the few times where the swordsman could appreciate the cook’s smile and enthusiasm as a stranger, accepting the qualities for himself but never finding the right moment to put it into words.
Overwhelmed with feelings, he left to get some fresh air. Sanji, on the other hand, interrupted the chatter to go back to Zoro. As he approached the bar, he noticed the absence.
The strong lights, the crowd and the heat of the place made the cook uncomfortable. “Shit, where did he go?” He asked the bartender and then other customers, but they couldn't give details. “This asshole,” he thought. “He should be on the ship by now.”
Sanji went out of the tavern fast, there were a few people outside, mostly drunk pirates on the floor. The blond took a long sigh, lit a cigarette and entered a nearby alley. Despite the dim lights he could walk, the pavements were small and sometimes zigzagged but not to get lost. At the end of the street, he sat down on a bench and lit a cigarette, a breeze soothed the high temperatures he had brought from the bar.
“You shouldn't let your guard down here” he heard as he felt one of Zoro’s swords behind his shoulder.
“mmm, get that shit out of me”
Zoro sheathed the sword and sat down on the other side of the bench.
“Why are you here?” the swordsman voiced.
“Apparently, someone idiot was about to get lost”
“But… I found you” he goaded sarcastically.
“Do you want to be alone? Why don’t you go to Merry and get some sleep? It would give me… a break to enjoy the party”
“You piss me off, curly” Zoro muttered as he stood up in a dizzy way.
“Are you drunk, shitty mosshead? Why are you staring at me like this?”
Zoro observed Sanji’s posture, there was something exquisite in the way he sat, his long crossed legs looked extremely stylized in the suit, he had a defiant look while he exhaled the smoke from his cigarette.
“I should be the one asking if you’re drunk” Zoro scolded as he got closer.
“I'm not the one who’s swinging while standing up, I’m not even acting silly…”
The swordsman’s heartbeat was struggling, he didn't know how much longer he could cope with the distance, he felt so bewitched that it was difficult to contain himself being alone with the cook, that's why he avoided spending time alone with him, he fought internally to not lose control.
After a silence, their eyes met for a short moment, Sanji began to walk back to the tavern.
Sanji's silhouette moved quickly, the blood-red color of his coat made him look paler and more intimidating than he really was. Zoro rushed over stealthily, grabbing him by the arm.
"Oi oi marimo! Do you need something?" Sanji uttered.
Zoro noticed his impulse and the strength with which he held the cook's forearm.
"You're right. I'll go back to the ship," he said as he looked down.
Tumblr media
In the middle of the night, footsteps prowled around the kitchen, the drawers of the shelves opened and closed.
"Shitty cook?" Zoro asked. Through the window he perceived Sanji contemplating the island lights and sky.
"too early to be back tho"
"I wanted to drink something here. I left some sake in the kitchen and pantry" Sanji's sleepy eyes looked huge, they normally stood out at night with the lights, but now they were much more piercing as he did the offer. Zoro was again starting to become nervous as he contemplated how his features harmonized with the silly disguise.
"Take off that stupid hat," he rasped suddenly.
“Do you want to wear it, asshole?” he replied as he walked back to the kitchen.
Zoro followed him with his gaze.
"I brought wine and sake, mosshead. Do you want some?”
Sanji was eager to see if Zoro would be open to drinking with him in that situation, all alone.
He unbuttoned his coat before pouring the liquors, Zoro slowly approached to sit on the island in front of him.
“The hat, eyebrows.”
"you're obsessed with the damn hat...aren’t you? Sanji exhaled. “don't make me bitter. Not because you’re not feeling your character and custom it means I’m going to take this shit off…”
“you don’t look like a vampire”
“you don’t look like a swordsman. Are you escaping from yourself?” he emphasized as he ran his finger over the glass of wine.
“What are you implying, curly brow?”
“I like accessories… with them you could try other things. They can highlight things about you, physical features, personality features…You must feel something different by being dressed like this… marimo… your look is…” he couldn’t continue with the train of thoughts. Zoro had his eyes fixed on him.
“Are you drunk?”
Sanji placed his hat on Zoro's head.
“Seriously, did you drink or eat something else, lovecook? Are you sober?”
“I’m more conscious than ever. Drink the fuckin’ sake, so you stop asking the same stupid questions”
“Cook… since when you like vampires?” Zoro inquired while Sanji lit a cigarette.
“since I was little, but no one had ever asked”
“why do you find them appealing?” Zoro’s tone had already calmed down. It seemed he was fully interested in knowing Sanji’s perspective.
“They’re mysterious and romantic creatures. They struggle to survive, stories tell some of them starve to death to not damage their beloved ones, others say that they’re evil creatures cause they kill indiscriminately… They’re enigmatic, passionate. Blood is their source, their ecstasy, their food. They depend on it. It's a nice metaphor for life itself. Blood as wine can symbolize plenty of things… desire, lust, fervent love. What if vampires smell blood as we smell liquors…and that’s how desire leads them to their prey or immortal companion.
Sanji’s words made Zoro tremble, he was with such a natural and carefree attitude that they had not noticed how close they were, he could feel the cook's legs collide with his under the small kitchen’s island. His voice was alluring, suddenly Zoro couldn’t take his eyes from his lips. It felt like everything was in slow motion. His storytelling sounded like soft whispers, the moment became intimate as if Sanji was trusting him with his deepest thoughts.
“Tempted by senses…blood… makes them lose their inhibitions. Wine makes us lose our inhibitions too…” in an instant Zoro's warm lips pressed tightly against his, the cook couldn't even react… their breaths were heavy, a rush of heat reached both. Sanji’s body started to shiver, wishing the moment was eternal.

GIMMIE
A lil ren x buggy maybe 👀 sorry if it’s ooc for him 😔
Buggy heard the yelp before the glass shattering on the floor.
One thing he loved about pirate bars, there was always some form of entertainment. Tonight, was a bar fight. Boring, always no name pirates big dicking each other.
One threw a bottle at the other, who of course ducked and hit the poor son of a bitch behind him. Jesus, he got him good with that one.
“Mother fucker,” the man yelled out, running straight into Buggy.
He looked down, blood stained his coat, “hey! Wait a minute!”
Buggy really liked that coat too. He followed the man who rested against the wall of the bar, hands barely containing the blood from gushing out. He jumped as soon as he saw Buggy.
“Just leave me alone.”
He stared wide eyed, “shit, they got you good. Lemme see that.”
He waved Buggy away, “I’m fine.”
“Bullshit, lemme see.”
The man looked a little embarrassed, letting Buggy take a long look. He could’ve sworn the man shivered as he traced a finger along his cheek.
“That’s gonna need some stitches, man.”
“I’ll be fine.”
Buggy looked him up and down, “tough guy, huh?”
He shrugged, “don’t worry about me.”
He really should just walk away, something about the man reminded Buggy of someone he rather forget most days.
“I have a doctor on the ship, he can help.”
He shook his head again, and Buggy decided to leave.
“Wait, uh. Maybe, I can use a bandaid.”
Buggy chuckled, “alright, man. What’s your name?”
“Ren.”
“Buggy.”
Ren was handsome, now that Buggy got a real good look at him. Maybe if he played the hero part right, he’d get his reward.

Painful Welcome - Chp 1
So this meeting its different from my other ships. I don't belong in this universe at the start. I literally fell into the game! :D
Ship: I come to you in pieces (used to be if it means a lot to you;) Dante x Kaden
Words: 1139 (Wow I actually fuggin wrote something)
Warnings: None
Tag list at the bottom~!
A truck. It felt like a god damn truck at hit their entire body. They felt heavier and their back and shoulders felt hot with pain. Their eyes were tightly shut, they weren’t even sure if they were breathing. Nope definitely not breathing!
Kaden’s eyes widened and despite the pain that shot through them they sat up gasping for air, the long fall having knocked the wind completely out of them. Once that sharp intake of breath filled their lungs finally, they fell back down, arms and legs spread like a dehydrated starfish as they looked up at the big hole in the ceiling, no doubt where they came crashing down from. They lay there panting heavily.
“People are just falling from the sky now huh? That’s a new one” a disembodied voice rang out.
Kaden panted, eyes closing tightly shut. Where have I heard that voice before...?
“How long are you planning on writhing in pain on my floor?” The voice once again spoke.
Kaden refused to move but turned their head towards where the voice was coming from, their vision still wasn’t the best, they hit their head hard on the floor. Everything had a weird fuzzy blur to it. Am I …dreaming?
The person came over and squatted down beside Kaden. “Oh, shit you might actually need some help” Kaden looked up to see none other than Dante staring down at them. All they could think of was “I’m dreaming? Maybe I’m in a coma…fuck everything hurts-”
“Well, I seen you sit up so your back isn’t broken... Alright this might be uncomfortable, but I can’t have you dying on my floor.” Dante placed his arms underneath Kaden, one arm supported their neck and the other under their legs by the knee. He scooped them up into his arms and stood to his feet. “Bad for business ya know.” He said nonchalantly, as if people do crazy things in front of him all the time.
Kaden was groggy and wasn’t quite ready to speak, their eyes moved around the room, jukebox in the corner of the room….neon lights…pool table…bar…desk in the center of the room…stairs that lead to a second level…and weapons on display on the wall behind the desk… this looks very much like…
“There, you’ll be comfortable on the couch…well… as comfortable as one can be after crashing through a roof- I’ll call someone more professional in the medical field to come get you checked out.” He sighed as he looked down at Kaden. He shook his head and clicked his tongue, crossing his arms over his chest. “Why do things always have to happen in my shop of all places-”
Eventually Kaden’s vision returned to normal, their back was still hurting like hell, so they tried their best not to move so much. They turned their head towards the desk to see Dante reading a magazine. He had long since called for a doctor.
“This is trippy as fuck” Kaden finally spoke.
“Oh good!” Dante placed the magazine down and Kaden felt their heart jump into their throat “You aren’t a mute!”
“This seems so real… is this one of those vivid lucid dream things?” Kaden went to sit up but pain shot through their back. “Ah, fuck!! If this is a dream why the hell does it hurt so much!”
“Dream!? Babe, you dropped in through my ceiling!” He stood up and walked under the spot where Kaden came crashing down. “Look at the damage you did! My poor roof!”
Kaden looked up at the gaping hole, you could easily see the night sky and the odd cloud passing by. “But…how?” Kaden murmured.
“You know how much that’s going to cost!?” Dante sighed, his hands moving to his hips.
“How are you here? How is this place real!?” Kaden asked in a mixture of shock and horror. “T-This place only exists in video games!” Kaden’s voice got higher the more they spoke they were obviously completely shocked where they were, and they still didn’t believe it was real.
“Man, you really hit your head huh?” Dante whistled.
“No, shut up! I’m telling you, you’re not real!” Kaden hissed out in pain again as once again they tried to move.
Just at that moment the doctor had arrived to see Kaden, He determined that they had a concussion and that them spouting about the world not being real was due to them hitting their head even though Kaden had tried to protest many times. The doctor said it was a miracle that not a bone in their body was broken considering how high they fell but they’re going to be sore for a couple of days, maybe even a week due to the strain on there muscles.
“So- where do you live...?” Dante asked as he seen the doctor out.
“Not here”
“Obviously!” Dante growled a little in frustration. “Where is your house?”
“NOT HERE! I don’t have one here! In this world! God!” Kaden was still freaking out on the inside. Kaden knew this game; it was Devil May Cry but why were they INSIDE the game!? How is this even possible? How did it happen? They can’t remember! It was frustrating.
“You’re homeless?”
“I guess!” Kaden threw their arms up to shrug but then winced in pain. “Stupid fucking back!”
“Tch, well you can’t be on the streets in that condition, and you also owe me for blowing a hole through my roof with your entire body- Until your debt it paid you can stay here, I guess-” Dante grumbled. Even though he was annoyed by the sudden events he still somewhat had a heart. “Get better- Get money- give me the money- get lost” Dante sighed.
Ouch, that was a little mean. “Well, you don’t have to be such an asshole about it. What if I work, get money and bail because of your attitude?” Kaden snorted.
“Then I have no problems find you and getting my money.” Dante smirked.
“Jerk-”
“You’re the one who crashed through my roof and you’re calling me a jerk!?” Dante chuckled.
“Yes! J E R K” Kaden crossed their arms over their chest as they leaned back against the couch. Kaden didn’t really think about consequences considering they thought this was all a delusional dream anyways.
“Pft, the thanks I get for helping people...” Dante grumbled, turning on his heel towards the front door. “I’m going out. Don’t…set my place on fire while I’m gone.”
Kaden rolled their eyes “No promises, Dante” Kaden said his name like a kid trying to mock someone put heavy enphasis on his name.
Dante rolled his eyes and walked out the door, he got down the steps and stopped in his strides his face went from annoyed to a little confused. “We never introduced ourselves..”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's been a week and everyone has either calmed down or completely forgotten about the incident with the pirate Captain Kid which was good. Sanji sat on the mast bench outside next to Robin playing checkers while Kuina was on the grass in front of them drawing on a large sheet of paper with Nami. The weather was perfect, it was clear and sunny but with a light breeze that cooled everyone down form the heat of the sun. You and Zoro on the other hand were in the crows nest working out, the swordsman was lifting weights while you were doing pull ups on a metal bar, you had a good view of the outside when ever you lifted yourself up so you got to look at something while you were working out. You honestly wished it was Zoro you were looking at but you couldn't look to the side while doing pull ups although you did glance a few times. Something in the distance caught your eye and it was heading your way, letting go of the bar you grab a towel and dry your hands walking over to the window to look out. "Zo, there's a ship heading this way" you sigh not wanting to deal with marines or other pirates today. Zoro grumbles and puts his weights down walking over to join looking out the window, he curses under his breath seeing the ship get closer "I'll go and warn the others" You pat his back heading down the ladder only stopping to yell out at the others on the deck "Hay there's a ship heading our way" you point in the direction before going down the rest of the way.
Nami jumps up and grabs the binoculars on the side looking in the direction you pointed while Sanji picks up Kuina and Robin heads off to tell the others "Marines?" Sanji asks looking form Nami to the open water "No, i-" The navigator groans putting the binoculars down as you and Zoro walk over "What's up?" you ask concerned stopping next to her "Its kid's ship" Nami sighs only for Luffy to land next to her "That's awesome, we can say hello as they head past" The captain smiles wide before heading to the railing as the rest of the crew make their way onto the grass deck "Their heading right for us" Usopp yells out making everyone panic a bit looking up to see him holding his own binoculars "Well if it's a fight he wants then i'm willing to take him on" Zoro grows placing his hand on his swords only for you to place a hand on his shoulder "We don't know if thats what their after. Is anyone following them?" You look up at Usopp hoping their being chased but those hopes were dashed when Usopp shakes his head "No, but they are slowing down" The sniper keeps looking out as the other pirate ship gets closer "Calm down guys i'm sure he's just here to say hi" Luffy laughs holding his hat to his head before waving out at the ship "Hay, Kid.... what's up buddy?" The whole crew sighs at their captains actions. Sanji walks up to you and hands you Kuina which you gladly take "Head inside in case this gets ugly" The cook rubs a hand over your cheek, you go to argue but Chopper pats your leg "I'll come with you" the doctor smiles up at you making you sigh and nod "Ok but don't start a fight unless its absolutely necessary" You point at the two boys knowing there still kinda mad over what Kid said.
Walking into the aquarium bar you place Kuina down on one of the chairs as Chopper sits next to her "Mommy" The blonde girl looks up at you noticing your tense and eyes fixed on the door "It's ok honey" You give your daughter a smile and run a hand through her hair before leaning against the table and watching the door again. Zoro keeps his hands on his swords as Kids ship slowly turns to move parallel with the sunny "Hay Kid, long time no see" Luffy yells out waving at the pirates that stand on the deck looking over at them. Sanji lights up a cigarette and takes a puff before looking over at the ship spotting Kid walking over to the railing "What do you want?" the cook yells out with an angry look, seeing the guy again after what he said to you and how it made you feel makes his blood boil. Kid sighs looking at Killer next to him who nods "I'm here to... apologies" The pirate captain yells over shocking almost everyone on the sunny "What?" Zoro and Sanji walk forward, looking up at Kid in confusion "apologies for what?" Luffy asks trying to think back to what Kid might have done but can't seem to put his finger on it. "For what i said a week ago" Kid rubs the back of his head looking over the straw hat crew but raises an eyebrow when not seeing you "Wheres your lady? i- i want to say sorry" Everyone could see it hurt Kid to do this "Oh you mean when you accused Y/n of cheating? Yea she didn't take that very well" Luffy asks making Nami grab him and pull him away form the railing "Shut up" The navigator yells shaking her captain while Usopp try's to calm her down.
Killer sighs seeing Kid not dealing so well with the situation so does it for him "We were also hoping to come aboard, Kid made some gifts for your little girl as a sorry too" Kid's face goes bright red as he turns to his friend "Don't tell them that" The pirate captain yells getting more embarrassed when he realizes he yelled it and not whispered it. Zoro and Sanji look at each other for a minute trying to decide what to do but once Nami lets go of Luffy and clams down the straw hat captain smiles up at Kid and nods "Sure come aboard" Usopp manages to grab Nami before she can strangle the captain. Zoro and Sanji sigh stepping away form the railing knowing there's nothing they can do now since Luffy is the captain, and they can't go against him. Kid looks back over at them and sighs grabbing a bag before jumping over to the sunny along with Killer. Luffy walks over and pats Kid on the shoulder "Good to see you again, what did you bring?" Luffy asks looking down at the bag "It's not for you" Kid snaps as Luffy pouts "Oh come on, just one peek... is it meat?" The captain smile only for the other captain to get in his face "No it's not meat now back off" as the two butt heads and argue the others sigh seeing there back to fighting again although they know it won't last too long.
Hearing Luffy and Kid yelling at each you start to get worried, the yelling sounds close but you can't make out what there saying "I'm going to check it out, stay here" you tell the two pushing away form the table you were leaning on and kissing Kuina's head "I'll be back in a minute honey" you smile as not to worry your daughter before heading out the door closing it behind you, the sight before you made you even more confused, everyone seemed calm and heading off to do their own thing, well except Luffy and Kid who where head-to-head yelling at each other about something and Killer was talking to Zoro and Sanji who had their backs to you. "What's going on?" you ask Zoro and Sanji who turn at your voice but it also catches Kids attention who suddenly stops yelling at Luffy and turns to you. Your captain stops yelling too looking at Kid in confusion before looking at you with a smile, Zoro notices Kids eye's on you so pulls you close to him by wrapping an arm around your waist. "It's ok baby, there's no fighting" Zoro sighs as Sanji takes your hand. Killer steps aside as Kid walks over, his eye's fixed on the floor and his teeth clenched. "I'm here to apologies" Kid finally speaks stopping in front of you three shocking you a little "I'm sorry, for what i said to all of you" Kid rubs the back of his neck finally looking up at you "I-I didn't know about your relationship and i'm - I'm just sorry ok" Kid struggles to get out not used to saying sorry for anything, but he does feel bad about what he said after learning a lot about Poly relationships plus Killer told him how upset you were over it and that was in public so your reaction when being alone must have been worse.
Looking over the man you could tell he was genuinely sorry and felt bad for it. "Thank you, i know this was hard for you but i really appreciate you apology" Kids eyes widen at your words, he was expecting you to hit him or berate him not say thank you. Sanji lets out a laugh and kisses your temple "Well if she forgives you than i do too" You smile up at the cook who squeezes your hand but Zoro sighs leaning in closer to you "Your too nice" The swordsman looks you over as you turn to him giving him an annoyed look "Fine... i forgive you too" You smile when the green haired man looks over at Kid "See i told you everything would be fine" Killer pats Kid on the shoulder "Can i see what's in the bag now?" Luffy walks over happy that you all made up but the unknown is killing him "I said this isn't for you" Kid pulls the bag away form your captain making you laugh "It's for Kuina" Zoro nudges you wondering if you'll agree to let kid near your child, you think for a minute while Luffy and Kid argue over the bag "Sanji do you mind getting Kuina please" you turn to the cook who looks at you surprised "are you sure?" Sanji asks only for you to lean up and kiss his cheek "Yes i'm sure, don't worry Hun" you whisper watching him put out his cigarette before heading off to get Kuina. "Captain, You can stay if you want but please calm down" Luffy looks over at you and nods understanding that you need to be in control for your daughter.
Zoro squeezes your side feeling you tense up "Kuina may not like you after what happened so... please don't get offended if she doesn't like you or accept anything form you" You try to explain the best you can, your daughter was upset over you being upset, she may not remember what happened but there's also a chance that she will and your betting on she will. Sanji walks out with Kuina in his arms and Chopper following before waving at the little girl and heading off. Kid looks back down at the ground, he knew he hurt you three, but he never meant to hurt your daughter. "I'll take her, thank you Hun" You reach out with a smile taking Kuina off Sanji "Are you sure about this love?" The cook asks again but you nod your head, you don't want your daughter to fear others after a bad first meeting "Kuina, this is Kid and Killer" You hold her letting her eyes look over the too, her eyes light up upon seeing Killer and reaches her arms out to him making the masked man laugh and walking over before leaning down, so she can feel his mask again "You remember baby girl?" Zoro asks with a smile seeing his daughter happy and going over the blue lines on the mask "Blue" Kuina laughs as Killer stands up and looks over at Kid who looks at the little girl almost frozen, his cheeks slightly red. Your daughter looks the red haired man over before looking up at you and pointing "mommy sad?" She asks confused but Sanji walks over to you and puts an arm around your shoulders "No sweetie, mommy's not sad" The cook pats his daughters head, but she still doesn't understand looking over at Kid again.
The pirate Captain sighs going into the bag and pulls out a metal ship that looks just like the sunny before walking to her "I'm sorry for making your mum sad" Kid holds out the toy he made while watching your daughter look it over before looking up at her parents "Remember when i told you about people making mistakes?" you ask seeing your daughter nod and turn back to Kid before reaching over and placing her hand over the scar on his face. The pirate captain freezes not knowing what to do until Kuina smile wide at him lightly rubbing his scar and pointing to Zoro "Dad" she calls out making the swordsman laugh along with you and Sanji "Yea baby girl he has a scar too" the green haired man takes Kuina's hand off Kids face who's now bright red "I'm sorry about that" You bounce your daughter a little after she takes the sunny toy off Kid "N-No it's ok" Kid stands back up looking away trying to hide his red face as Kuina holds the toy out to Luffy who's been trying his best to hold back "Wow thats so cool" Luffy smiles wide walking up to your daughter and looking at the toy with her "What do we say?" You ask Kuina who looks up at you then over to Kid "Thank you" She smiles at him the pirate Captain somehow going redder.
You couldn't help but smile as you sat on the grass with Kuina in between your legs, metal and wooden toys littered the floor thanks to Kid. Most of the toys were of different ships, there was even one of the polar tang but of course Kuina's favorite so far was the sunny. Luffy sat near you as your daughter played with the toys some times showing them to him while Kid at in front of you. The red haired man didn't say much, but he seemed happy. Killer sat on the mast bench watching his captain while Zoro and Sanji sat next to him, the swordsman's arm around the cook's waist, things were much calmer now. Kuina grabs a ship and stands up walking over to Kid and handing it to him only for the pirate to freeze slightly and shakily hold out his hand for her. Your daughter smiles and puts the metal ship in his hand "urm... thank you" Kid's cheeks go red at seeing her cute face light up at his words making you giggle a little "W-what?" The red haired man stutters looking at you "It's nothing" you wave him off only for his cheeks to go redder, Killer lets out a small laugh and leans over patting his friends shoulder as comfort. Kuina picks up another ship toy and walks over to Killer holding it out to him, the masked man pats your daughter on the head and takes it "Thanks little one"
Sanji lays his head on Zoro's shoulder looking down at his daughter, you swear you can see hearts in his eyes. "I-I don't mean to upset you again but... i wanted to ask something" Kid looks down at his hands still trying to be understanding, but he was honestly scared that the three of you would get mad again. Kuina walks over to the toys and picks up another one before walking over to Luffy and giving it to him. Zoro's eyes leave his daughter once he knows she safe with Luffy, he's still not 100% happy with Kid, but he'll let it slide "Is it about our relationship?" The swordsman asks looking over at Kid who keeps his head down "Y-Yea" The red haired man stutters. Kuina sits on the floor with Luffy the two playing together as you sit up more and cross your legs leaning forward a little "I don't mind, if you two are ok with it?" You smile up at Sanji and Zoro the two thinking for a second "Sure" Sanji shrugs keeping his head on Zoro's shoulder, The swordsman sighs giving a simple nod. Kid looks up at the three of you and then to Killer who nods at the captain giving him the push he needs. "Don't you ever get jealous of each other?" The red haired man looks at the three of you "No" you all say in unison before looking at each other surprised that you were all so in sync, Kid's eyes widen since he wasn't expecting you all to say no, he thought at least one of you would have said yes.
You look over at Kid seeing his shocked face "I love seeing my boys together how could i jealous" Your words ring true for Sanji and Zoro who nod with a slight hum "Wow, i wasn't expecting that, i thought at least the swordsman would get jealous" Kid looks back down at his hands with a small laugh and a smile as Zoro glares at the man "Hay, why me?" Sanji laughs at Zoro's outburst earning a glare from the green haired man "And why are you laughing". Kid looks back up watching the two men interact, it was strange to him, but he could see how happy you three were. Kuina looks up and takes your hand getting your attention "Yes sweetie" you lean over to her as she stands up, you can tell she's tired and you don't blame her since there's been a lot going on, and she hasn't had her nap yet. Sanji and Zoro stop messing around and turn to look at you and their daughter. "are you tired?" you ask earning a nod and an eye rub form the little girl. "Do you want me to take her?" Luffy asks before anyone else can, with a smile and holding his arms out "No it's ok, thank you though" you smile back before pulling Kuina onto your lap as you turn to Kid "Thank you, i think you've made her day" The red haired man turns red a little and rubs the back of his head "It's ok, it's the least i can do plus... never mind" He sighs looking away.
Zoro raises an eyebrow at Kid while Luffy tilts his head "Plus what?" Your captain asks making Kid go redder "It's nothing, it doesn't matter" You stand up holding Kuina close as she grips the Sunny toy in her hand "Just admit it" You smile down at kid who looks up at you his eyes wide and stuttering a little. Zoro holds back a laugh as Sanji shakes his head, they know this is your pay back so let you have it. "Go on admit it... you think my daughters cute" You smile holding your daughter in your arms as she starts to fall asleep her cheek pressed against your shoulder "i-i no, i" Kid keeps stuttering as you walk around the toys on the ground to stand next to the red haired man "So you don't think she's cute?" you ask portending to be upset, Kid jumps up and shakes his head "n-no, that's not what i meant... I just" You sigh and turn away form him letting out a sniffle even through your not crying. Zoro nudges Sanji getting his attention, the two nodding at each other and standing, anger strung across their faces and arms crossed over their chest getting Kids attention whose face goes as red as his hair.
Luffy looks away trying to hold back a laugh knowing what his three crew mates are up too but trying not to ruin anything. "I'm sorry, i didn't mean too, i swear" Kid raises his hands in defense before turning to you looking over your shoulder at the sleeping girl in your arms, you let out one last sniff along with a little whimper making the pirate crack "I'm sorry, i admit it ok... she's cute, really cute and adorable." Kid whispers trying not to wake Kuina but his voice is shaky at best. Turning around you smile at him "I know" walking off the red haired man's face drops realizing you were never upset, he turns to look at Sanji and Zoro who are holding back their laughter only for Luffy to break down and start rolling on the grass fall holding his stomach as tears fall down his face. "Y-YOU" Kid yells out glaring at the straw hat pirates around him. You made it into your room before the yelling started which was good since Kuina was fully asleep. You place her down in her crib and take the metal toy off her putting it to one side before covering her over.
