join me in an sunday reset! let’s get our lives back on track! 🌷
space 🕯
put on a playlist that motivates you!
clear your floor of all clutter and mess
clear off all the surfaces of things that don’t belong there (desk, dresser, nightstand countertops, etc) and give them a good dusting and wipe down
catch up on laundry and fold it all immediately!
change your sheets and make your bed
vacuum and sweep
clean your bathroom really well! don’t forget to mop
remove all the out of date food from your fridge and pantry
do your dishes and clean your sink
reorganize things that tend to get messy during the week - make your space work for you! 💕
body 🌱
put on a cute set and do some movement! a whole work out, a hot girl walk, a dance party, some light yoga from bed - whatever works best for you and your body <3
drink a ton of water! hydrated girlies are happy girlies
have a nourishing meal with loads of fruits, veggies, and protein
get some sunlight
take an everything shower - shave and exfoliate, and don’t forget to moisturize!
do a hair mask
do your full skincare routine and a gentle face mask
do your nails or go get them done
mind ☁️
put your phone away and have some quiet time - maybe read a book, doodle, or meditate! just give your brain a rest from the noisy workweek
journal
set some goals for the upcoming week and think about how you can actually achieve them
organize all your assignments / tasks for the week in a planner - everything will seem less overwhelming when you write it all down!
spend some time with friends or family
do something you love to do!
and finally, go to bed early tonight! you got this, angel! ✨🌸

You matter. Your health matters. How you feel matters. Don't let anyone make you feel any differently. You are worthy of rest, care, and happiness just as you already are.

a reminder whoever needs to hear this:
if you only wash one dish, that's one less dish to wash. if you only tidied up a section of your room, that's less for you to deal with later. if you washed your clothes but didn't put them away, you have clean clothes available for you to wear. you're doin SOMETHING and that will always be better than nothing
(it's okay if you cant do anything for a while, it doesn't make you any less valuable or important)

new year resolution ideas for self care!!!
1. drink ample water every day — use a tracker for the first two months to make it a habit.
2. only eat when you are hungry, don't force food inside you.
3. moisturize your skin properly everyday
4. do a monthly gratitude jar (there are pretty templates on pinterest if you are an artsy person and if you are not, lists are amazing!)
5. stay curious — make a list of things you want to explore and feed your brain
6. do something everyday that makes you happy — it can be something small like texting a friend you've not talked to in a while or just indulging in ice-cream and netflix.
7. prioritize yourself — do things for you.
8. quit being a donkey — it's high time you stop carrying the burden of others, be it emotional of physical.
9. learn to apologize effectively because good apologies can save you a lot of trouble and bring you peace. proper accountability does wonders (check this out its my favourite resource, it's downloadable)
10. skin care daily, lovely people. let's get that into routine.
11. have goals for yourself, it's good. but don’t get lost in the process of chasing it. experience life on the way.
12. check in on your loved ones once in a while.
13. go to bed early? at least try??
14. go on a digital detox per month/ two months
15. LOVE YOURSELF MORE THIS NEW YEAR! YOU ARE PRECIOUS, FRIEND. REMIND YOURSELF THAT DAILY!

You are amazing and you matter. No matter how your day is going, I hope you never forget that you are enough just as you are (you always have been and always will be).
We all struggle from time to time, and it's okay. We're only human. Sometimes we feel comfortable reaching out, sometimes we just need a little encouragement. I hope you find something on this page to make you smile, bring you motivation, or just remind you that you will be okay.
Need more support? Find a help number in your country. [Here]
Got a word of encouragement, self-care ideas, helpful websites or resources you think should be added? Just send them my way and I'll get them up.
This page is currently under development and more will be added as soon as possible.
Tumblr media
You can do it. Even when you doubt yourself. Even when things feel overwhelming. Pause and breathe. Remember how far you've come. You are so very capable. You will get through this.
It's okay to make mistakes. It's okay to feel overwhelmed. It's okay to struggle. It's okay not to know what comes next. It's okay to say no. It's okay to stand up for yourself and what you believe. It's okay to choose what is right for you even when others don't understand. It's okay. You will be okay.
Take a moment to focus on all that you are instead of all you aren't because you are amazing just as you are. You have nothing to prove to anyone.
A bad day doesn't mean it's a bad life. I know that can be hard to believe, especially when that bad day turns into a bad week, month, or even year. Please know how strong you are. I see you. I see your struggle. You are not alone. You've survived all those bad days. Your good days will come. Until then, have hope, reach out to a friend. You will get through this.
You don't have to do everything at once, baby steps still take you forward.
There's no need to apologize for making yourself a priority. You should always put yourself first. Do what you have to do for yourself
It's okay to be sad. It's okay to be confused. It's okay to not know your next step. Just keep going. You'll figure it out. (source)
By opening up bit by bit and around someone you trust, you can learn to show the world how amazing your true self is. (source)
You are still okay and loved if: you like to spend time with yourself, you don't have a lot of close friends, you have frequent panic or anxiety attacks, you cry at random times, you need to take naps, you feel sad or empty, you feel lonely, you have a mental illness. (source)
Don't push yourself too hard. It's okay if you can't do it. It's okay if you can't finish it. It's okay if you need help. It's okay if you need to take a break. It's okay if you need to just try again tomorrow. It's okay if you can't do it as well as someone else. It's okay if you do it more slowly than someone else. Everyone has their own limits. It's okay. (source)
Encouragement for Writers + Creators:
Your stories are valid, regardless of the notes, of how many people read it. The time you spent planning, writing and editing wasn't a waste if (re)reading makes you happy.
It's okay not be productive everyday. The low phases of your creative cycle don't mean your ability isn't real and won't go away. It's simply dormant. Be gentle with yourself and soon it'll flourish again.
"You might not write well every day, but you can always edit a bad page. You can't edit a blank page" ~Jodi Picoult
If you feel stuck, you're allowed to take a step back and do something else. There's no shame about taking a break.
Allow yourself to be proud of and love your writing. There is nothing cool about self-deprecation. Being proud doesn't make you bad. It doesn't make you vain. It doesn't make you selfish. It doesn't make you self-centered. It doesn't make you think you're superior. It just means you recognize your own effort and appreciate the effort that you put in, just like you do with others. What makes you think that just because you made it, you don't deserve the same respect, love and appreciation you give to other writers? You don't have to search for that validation in others. You're allowed to give it to yourself. (source)
On particularly tough days, when you're sure you can't possibly endure, remember your track record for getting through bad days is 100% and that's pretty good!
The road to success is never straight.
Believe in unknown miracles already on their way to you.
When you meet resistance, you are growing in the right direction.

Take a step outside. Go to a forest, a park or to the beach. No goal in mind, just get some air and enjoy the moment. Maybe explore somewhere you haven't been yet.
Do something new. Maybe something you have wanted to try for a while. Be it crafts, different activities, baking/cooking, or even just watching a new show.
Spend 10 minutes writing down words that make you smile, make you dream or just make you feel good.
Organize your space

How to Create Your Own Self-Care Plan
You may have heard it before: You can’t help others without taking care of yourself first. Self-care is an important way to protect your physical, mental and emotional health so you can better adapt to changes, build strong relationships and recover from setbacks. You can also better support those around you who might be in need.
If you’re ready to take care of yourself and practice self-care, use this information from the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) curriculum to create a realistic and effective plan.
When creating your self-care plan, it’s important to consider the following questions:
What will I do for self-care? Stick to the basics and add certain self-care activities to your calendar. Some examples are getting enough sleep, exercising as appropriate for your own health, eating healthfully, spending time with loved ones, using relaxation exercises and practicing meditation.
Whom can I call at any time? Identify people in your life who you trust and can talk to about the good and bad that may happen.
Whom can I reach out to if I need more help? Identify who you can call if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or sad. This may include loved ones, a coach or teacher, or mental health professional.
As you start to think about what activities you want to include in your self-care plan, it can be helpful to explore these domains and brainstorm people, programs and activities that are important and feel safe to you within each. You may find that you have things for one domain, a few, or all of them:
Intellectual
Emotional
Occupational
Environment
Community
Physical
Financial
Spiritual
Remember that everyone’s self-care plan will be different — and that’s OK. Equally important, don’t be afraid to ask for help. Reach out to the supportive people in your life and discuss self-care methods that may have helped them and what you’re hoping to achieve. You can also use these tips from MHFA to care for yourself while practicing physical distancing. With the right information and tools, you can #BeTheDifference for yourself every day.

Eyyy I just found your blog but I think you’ll get a kick out of this:
I like making those origami stars out of colored paper and filling cleaned up bottles and jars with them. (So far I’ve only filled one bottle, started a second, and picked out the paper for two others I’ll do next but. I’m just accepting my health keeps these projects relatively slow.)
Anyway, I had the Idea to write encouragement and CBT Exercises and Creative Prompts onto the paper strips for one planned bottle, and I’m using my current “folding stage” project to learn how to fold the paper in such a way that it can be unraveled and refolded.
So…I will literally be making positivity stars for myself and others XD
(although jars of colorful stars are still nice for dopamine hits and anxiety/adhd stemming.)
That's so awesome! It's such a cool idea ✨️

Self Care and Birthday Celebration week : the threequel(?) March 01 to 07 💖💖💖
In addition to my every day depression and anxiety, Birthday Depression is something that hits me hard every year, so for the past couple of years I've been trying to preplan for it and look at specific self care ideas that I can try to work on each day to try to help.
I know there are many people who struggle with mental health so I like sharing my plan, in case anyone wants to join in with me.
I did not include creative prompts this year, but I do recommend checking out the March Challenge for some ideas : @choicesmonthlychallenge. [Prompts]
Anyone is welcome to participate as much or as little as they like! I hope that everyone treats themselves with kindness today and always. I know it isn't always easy but it's why we have to keep trying. Every day is a new day to try again. You are wonderful and never forget that, even if on some days you can't see that.

Self care week #1:
catch up with a friend
medidate for ten minutes
do breathing exercises
do a face scrub
read before bed
eat slowly
get dressed up (even if unnecessary)
reorganize my bookshelves
As I have explained in this post, I will challenge myself on a weekly basis to do self care related things for at least a month. These weekly lists that I will post every Monday will be my guide during the week. I will cross over the prompts once I completed them at least once, although I might repeat certain tasks on multiple days. I will track the self care related things I have done each day in my normal daily posts, in which I usually keep track of my productivity. Feel free to join me in this self care challenge, and let me know if there's stuff you personally like to do for self care, because I am always looking for new ideas and inspiration!
