Loki': Mastery or Mere CGI
In the season finale of Loki, we see Old Loki manifest an entire city out of nowhere, and fanboys online lost their minds. The monster Alioth and Old Loki quickly destroyed the city in the process. What exactly did he do again that was so impressive? Old Loki didn’t “actually” create a city. He simply created an illusion, an illusion that was easily swallowed by the creepy cloud monster, and…

Kang the Conquerer in Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania might have been the good guy!!
(Or at least the least evil villain in this story... so hear me out! :))
I just went out to see Antman and the Wasp: Quantumania with my family and my father, who has never seen a single Marvel movie, just had the greatest speculation in the world!
Tumblr media
Imagine: The first post credit scene showed three main Kang Variants disputing the matter of the exiled Kangs fate which resulted in them calling every single one of the remaining Kang Variants. Now, think about the short scene where Janet touched Kangs mind (and therefore most likely the other Kang's minds). And lastly, think of the way Kang asked her multiple times about what she saw and how they never had time to talk about what she had seen.
Tumblr media
Now here's the thing my father pointed out:
What if the Kang in Quantumania was the Kang they SHOULD have let free? What if the other Kangs exiled that particular Kang because he wanted to STOP the other Kangs? What if Janet had seen what the other Kangs had done and what that Kang was trying to stop? This would make a lot more sense than just all the other remaining Kangs exiling that one Kang because he was following the same mindset. Maybe it was all just a big misunderstanding?
This especially makes sense if you include the ending of Quantumania in this debate, where Scott "overthinks" what has happened and guesses (right) that other Kangs will come and bring destruction upon the world.
Please give me some pieces if your mind in the comments. To me, this makes so much sense. xD

Jonathan Majors

I'm about to go on a rant so if you're not in the mood for that. Skip over this.
So Jonathan Majors has been dropped from Marvel. And I have a lot of pain coming with this because I absolutely love Marvel, but the fact that there have been so many people hired by Marvel with allegations against them for DV, with a troubled past. Have done things...I can't get behind that; I can't—all the evidence shows that this man was innocent, and you just dropped him like that. My morals and my principles won't allowed me to. This man is not even going to jail. If anything, he can appeal the guilty verdicts, pay the fines, etc. This is really not a big deal. There shouldn't have even been a trial. In any other state, those charges would have been dropped because they're misdemeanors. None of this feels right to me, and like I said: I love Marvel. Had been a fan for the longest time. But I can't keep supporting them.

Another thought on comic book movies: I'd like them to branch out more. I can only watch so many "this new superhero punches the bad guys" stories, you know? I loved WandaVision because it was so different. Love letter to different eras of comedies is a fresh idea, while also being about Wanda trying to cope with grief. Loki had fun time travel shenanigans. Werewolf by Night is basically a Hammer Horror film. The GOTG Christmas Special was so fucking stupid that I love it. I've heard GOTG3 is basically about themes of mortality and depression so I've really got to watch that soon.
Like, my ideal new Marvel movie would be a superhero getting PTSD. The first act of Endgame was brilliant because it was just the heroes we know and love being deeply, deeply depressed and grappling with the fact that they full on failed. Give me more of that. I want to see Ant-Man (the most comic relief character) suffer and become broken.
It doesn't all have to be depressing though. Give me a story about a woman becoming a surrogate mother and navigating that new relationship. Give me a full on horror film. Just do something different.
Hard to follow is one thing, but being repetitive is another. I've heard that Wanda's arc in Multiverse of Madness mostly follows the same shape as in Wandavision because the script writers for both didn't communicate at all, so it just ends up being repetitive. It's like, why even bother putting so much effort into having a shared universe if you don't have any real long term plans?

((Woah, hold on! I just came back to this blog and fandom. Did Scott die in Deadpool or something and I missed it?))
((Hey Anon! First of all, welcome back! Especially to the blog, we’ve missed you.
Secondly, uhhhhhhh I don’t know. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I saw a different trailer last night for Deadpool 3 and guess what? The TVA is involved. Heavily, it seems like. Remember the end credit scene of Deadpool 2? Yeah, bet that came back to bite him in the ass probably.
So I’m guessing the TVA send Wade to some alternate universe/timeline that’s pretty dystopian from the looks of it.
Therefore! That is not our Scott!
I know Marvel has made multiple stupid mistakes, but they would be really reeeeeeeallllllllly dumb to kill off cinnamon roll Scott Lang, not when the multiverse saga is still in the works. He’s essential! And he deserves to retire and die peacefully in his sleep with his mind intact at a very ancient age.))

two thing about the Victor Timely
I love that outfits, giving me Sweeney Todd vibes.
Maybe I’m reading into it too deeply but I like that Mobius kinda stops his point when he sees that Loki is legitimately intimated. Either he realized how serious the threat actually is (which I mean he probably figured anyways) or he didn’t want to discount Loki’s fear. I mean the second time he looked at Loki he just immediately shut up, like he was worried he was gonna say something wrong.
1. Yes. I love the Sweeney Todd vibes that scene has
2. Mobius, whether it be our Mobius or the new(?) Mobius we saw at the end of Loki season 1, definitely cares about Loki. Not just because he’s a “Loki expert” but also because Mobius is someone who cares so deeply about every little thing; so if Loki were to show a slight sign of distress or anxiety, Mobius would notice that, and he’d do whatever he could to help ease that anxiety for Loki. Man, I wish I had a Mobius in my life
