(most found in my dc server........) 1; ok this MAY seem stupid though i Dont Care if anyone here thinks it is but avatars have like dreams of their memories from their past lives and can get like something close to psychosomatic pain ? I don’t make many posts of my own I normally just repost but the Kit Conner situation is so fucked. The whole new ‘woke’ thing of LGBTQ+ characters have to be played by LGBTQ+ actors is so stupid. Like a straight person can play someone gay and a gay person can play someone who is gay. Talent and dedication to acting doesn’t change because of ur sexuality. Ik some ppl will argue this because straight ppl have got the same experiences and all that as a gay person which is true, but, that’s what’s research is for. Especially when we think about how recently it’s been since LBTQ+ community has been accepted. And it still isn’t in some places. Representation is very important but it’s the characters that matter and being able to connect with them and what they’re going through is very important to many ppl including myself. But who cares what the actors have done. For me a very good example of this is Our Flag Means Death where for me, as a member of the LGBTQ+ community I could connect to the characters who are panicking about their sexuality but it also shows what it would be like to be accepted and for no to bat an eye, this could definitely be a form of escapism.

Forcing a teenager to come out is horrible in any situation but the fact the Heartstopper fandom basically trolled him into it makes me sick. That’s not how it goes. If he was straight who fucking cares ppl connected to his character and related to him, as well as feeling like they have representation of what it was like at school being gay and confused and scared fist boyfriends, coming out the whole shebang. But it’s so horrible of ppl to make Kit feel like he had to come out to protect himself. We should have supported him in his privacy. Queer baiting in real life doesn’t exist. News flash straight ppl can act camp, and gay ppl could act stereotypically straight. It’s who u r, there aren’t rules or regulations to how u must behave act if ur a certain gender or have a certain sexuality. Jesus fucking Christ ppl get a grip.

Sorry about my rant I just *sigh*.

Also these r all my own opinions pls don’t get mad at me or send hate. We r all allowed different opinions :) Ik many ppl disagree with me or have different opinions on my first few points especially I welcome u to put a message in the comments to explain why, I’m always happy to be educated.

not to be "both sides"ing but actually yes both sides of the online "debate" over the word queer are so fucking pointless. its all just about performing moral outrage over the fact that a word is complex and multifaceted, just picking one facet of the word as your hill to die on.

like no, person who regularly calls people faggots online, i actually dont believe your pearl clutching when someone says "queer" is genuine, given that same degree of hallowed and solemn treatment doesnt seem to apply to slurs you feel comfortable reclaiming personally. you and i both know that some people saying "the queer community" (though it may be inappropriate and should probably not be treated as something that should be universally done) is not in any capacity equivalent to a nightmare situation you imagined where people start calling autistic ppl the "[r slur] community" (real take i have actually seen)

no, person who acts like they got spat on when ppl tag their posts with "q slur", i know damn well its solely a matter of performance and in any other situation youd accommodate (because you do in fact understand that something that isnt traumatic to you may be to someone else). no, person who goes "well 'gay'/'lesbian'/etc are slurs/derogatory, actually, so....", i know you dont actually believe this (especially given you arent gonna behave accordingly, obviously) and are fully capable of understanding the difference. you are not stupid

like literaly just accept that "word with a lengthy history in activism that is widely used in a reclaimed sense and as a powerful identifier to many people and should be recognized as such" and "word that was and is used as a slur, and may entirely lack positive connotations in certain regions or to certain demographics and should be treated as such" are both true and behave accordingly. its something that will always need to be discussed bc theres no perfect compromise for all facets of the word, but can and should be done with understanding and respect. thats it. can we please fucking move on

Romeo and Mercutio head cannon

Ok so we’re reading Romeo and Juliet in English and we’re almost finished (round about act 5 scene 4 r sm) Anyways I was telling my friend my headcannon that Mercutio and Romeo were definitely like.. fuck buddies and it made her laugh so imma say it here too lol

(Also I’m sure loads of people have done this before but I swear i haven’t acc looked at any Romeo and Juliet headcanonns if u know what I mean, or at least very few cause I can’t think of any)

Basically Mercutio is hella gay but not rlly into the romantic bit on the outside

But ACTUALLY he IS romantic but doesn’t show it cause... it’s the Middle Ages and he’s gay... y’know

So basically he and Romeo were in a kind of open relationship maybe where they’re fuck buddies and love each other but it’s still open

And Mercutio thinks it’s stupid that Romeo wants to go out with Rosaline cause he thinks Romeo is just trying to marry a girl for safely instead of being like Mercutio and waiting to do that or even just not planning on marrying ever

And it’s true cause Romeo is just trying to play the part and he’s hurt when Rosaline chooses the church over him cause he thinks he’s done something wrong or maybe he thinks that she knows

But he’s a v selfconcious boy TM so he takes it to heart even if Rosaline is just very Devout TM

But then he meets Juliet and realizes he’s bisexual and he has rlly truly fallen in love (however possible that is in like... a few hours of knowing eachother🙄. But we’re taking it the romantic way cause I love how romantic the play is even if it’s kinda not)

But then obviously he still cares for Mercutio and Mercutio cares for him but he also respects his decision

So then in Act 3 Scene 1 when The Shit Goes Down and Mercutio can’t stand to see this man he loved suddenly become a coward. In all honesty Mercutio is disgusted at him and also confused cause??? What??? Tf are u doing?? Just fight him??? U pussy?

And then when Mercutio sustains that fatal wound and dies in Romeos arms....

Romeo obviously goes berserk

Part of him died with Mercutio but now he can let go of that part of his life and focus on Juliet and stuff

So yeah thats that. Just to reiterate obviously I’m sure loads of other ppl have come up with probably the exact same idea but yeah. I was kinda proud of his lol. Also sorry if it’s bad I’m sure it’s shit and I’ll look at it tmr and regret it but rn I’m tired and don’t rlly care lol

unpop opinionz abt bl or just my opinions. that may or may not be popular. stream of consci. no one has to care or read. i will do this whenever i like or when i am drunk and/ or high. like now. i do tharntype + sotus, uwma, lbc, and MODC...and long ass writing and spoilers so if u stumble it aint my problem

but anyways i skipped til like ep 6. i barely know what the storyline is and id ont care. it isnt that interesting. they’re not great actors but i like the look of that bigger one. together their chemistry is fun i wouldn’t say like....as deep as i would like but watching them is nice

(this is where the wife/husband thing is relevant. i watched 6 - 13 a lot. so the father saying “as long as you’re not the wife i’m ok with ur HOMOSEXUAL rship then” but it turns out his son was the “wife” and guess what? that’s gross. if you can’t write female characters then leave us out of it.)

anyway i can see why people didn’t watch it. i say skip everything and see how they are together. the skinnier one is not as good w like idk. being seductive? but he’s fun to watch lol. together they are nice. i really enjoyed watching their dynamic.

some of the kissing was a lot but not in a bad way. i think if they had a deeper connection i would feel it more. but i saw gifs of them and piqued my interest and i clicked(footnote 2)

the actors as themselves and whatever their rship is fun to watch..i read some UNSAVORY things about one of the actors with another dude in another show but whatever.

hm what else....yea the show is ok. theyre not great actors. cute together. sometimes when they kiss there was way too much like breathing jesus christ shut up. they totally could have done some inverted tropes but they didnt bc why would they.

and as people ge tmore $ for prods or more public support they get better (i cannot emphasize how MUCH BETTER SOUND HAS GOTTEN FOR THAI SHOWS OMG dramas in general but)

so sotus kind of suffers from lower prod quality. but also the acting is bad. sorry it is. i like the darker guy (sorry im too lazy to google names but...singto? right? hes a good photographer) and he has gotten better or wil get better i think but. yea. terrible acting lol

also like...u can tell that other dude wasn’t totally comfortable or they just didnt know each other enough. i don’t know. it was very much two guys standing next to each other now like kiss once. the reluctance to show like affection even in private settings is BONKERS TO ME. literally it’s like these men have the most sterile rships and that is suchhhh an issue in BLs, particularly the thai i guess.

today was ok. i woke up knowing i would have to commute on my own to hubterbcollege for the first nycaasc meeting. the walk was so long through central park & not even the nice park area just the nasty sidewalk under tunnels where the cars zoom through.

nycaasc was awkward. everyone leading was awkward, & i felt awkward tension in the room listening to so many ppl say things i did & didnt agree with & embody things i hate/enjoy abt my asian-americaness. & esp being near Emily he was weird bc i knew they were into it but i dont think i was. so it felt like pretending. & i should have just left bc today was :/// but i kept hanging out w them like goingto a photo gallery then taking the bus back & going to their dorm to cook & eat w them & their roommates that i feel foreign & out of place being near bc its such a WOMXN space rather than a gender inclusive space of that makes sense & idk i feel so not welcome. but yea i felt boring & small & unwanted mostly but also a burden for taking up space & being all of the things above idk. bad vibes i guess.

my first week was full of classes. very busy & i hung out w ppl every day. all of my cser classes made me feel like i didn’t belong, like they were not meant for first yr students who r depressed & unable to handle an intensive workload. all of my art classes made me feel like i was a fool for trying, like i am a fool for thinking it might be a space for me to learn from. i got put on the printmaking waitlist bc many many mfa students & upper yr students showed up. i am dropping drawing bc i do not need a while woman & a white woman space to tell me what actions of mine r valuable. & the only way i would succeed in that class is if i become exoticised in a way that feels appealing to them. so yea i have decided that i will not study art in my life i guess. wack.

Welp, I have lots to talk about, so I am gonna break it up into sections:

Firstly, I am super happy to have made final 10. Like already outlasting 12 people in a season is a huge achievement! Yesterday's vote got a bit crazy, but I think its opened my eyes as to the next steps I need to take to advance my game. Firstly, in memoriam of Matt. I wouldn't have expected to vote him out so soon, but he'd begun trying to turn the tides against a member of my alliance, and he didn't have a majority, so I almost had to go on the 'Trevor' side. Furthermore, when he was talking about the potential 'majority' that'd take out Trevor, he didn't include Sam or JD, who I'd expected him too, as we'd been working together up to that point. His willingness to just leave out allies, meant that he just had to go :( Next Sam. I feel super bad for Sam. I was encouraging him to use the idol, when it was unnecessary. Our conversation leading up to him playing it though super brought us together, so I'm hoping I have his vote going forwards. Next, I got to play Touchy Subjects! I was so excited for that, and even though it was super hard to make some tough decisions, I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see the results! :) Now, onto 'Tea Time with Ryan'. In my opinion, Ryan screwed up. Like, people get that Trevor is a threat, but all that his temper tantrum did, is make sure people don't want to work with him (at least in my opinion). Like I definitely intend on making a move against the Trevor/Owen power duo, in the next coming votes, however I don't think I'll necessarily want to include David or Ryan (unless one of them happens to still be in the game). I'd potentially want to make that move, with a group of 'Duncan,Me,Sam,JD and Lydia'- I'd super want to bring in Logan as a 5th, but JD is weirdly stubborn about not wanting to work with them. I'm not sure why. Looking super long term, there are a number of threats, that I need to remove before F3. Those people include but aren't limited to: Owen, Trevor, Lydia and Ryan Like I don't want to go to F3 with any of them. My dream F3 would be with David and JD, as I feel like those two are the two I have the greatest chance of beating. I wouldn't necessarily have a problem sitting there with Logan or Duncan either. Even Sam is kinda too big of a threat. As promised to Jay, here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts on each tribemate: Ryan: I may be the lap dog, but you’ll be the one heading to the pound JD: My F2, think I may potentially be able to beat them. Really get on with them. I think them being stubborn about not working with Logan may cost us a bit. I don’t get why they so passionately want them out eek Logan: Super sweet person, sucks that we haven’t up to this point been able to work together game-wise Trevor: Really like him, but he is just too big of a threat Owen: Same as Trevor, would almost want to keep him longer though. We’ll see Duncan: I don’t know what to think of him? Like I feel like we’re close, but at the same time, maybe we aren’t David: We barely talk. Like almost never. whew!!! what a time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Matt Summers ultimately left and I think, in doing so, the game was mostly put in perspective: Ryan/David voted with him, Logan/Duncan are now officially together, the Sam/Ali/JD thing still exists as does Trevor/myself/Lydia. However, I...need Sam out of this game. And Ali, for that matter. So I went to Duncan and we talked without Trevor this time about potentially making a move soon. It's probably not a good idea this round, but potentially next round Duncan/Logan/me/Trevor/Lydia could make something happen? So I was SHOOK when JD started gunning for Logan this round??? Like...way to make it obvious you're trying to keep Ryan in the game, who is literally playing you just like Sam and Trevor and all of the returnees are. Whew! So I didn't want Logan gone at all cause that fucks everything up for future plans, so I tried to push it back on Ryan. Sam, Ali, JD, and Lydia continued to be completely like....unresponsive about the vote until finally Lydia spoke up about doing David and I'm like...as long as it isn't Logan, that's fine by me! :) God JD was like telling Trevor how he was the leader and how nobody would listen to her if she tried to get Logan out and I'm like....girl lol Survivor 101 - Don't TELL someone they're the leader. Provided David goes home tonight (which it seems he will pretty unanimously), I think my game is super on the up. Its been clarified that Trevor is a huge threat, and watching conversations develop, its clear he has Sam with him, and Owen is of course linked to him, who is tied to Duncan. Those 4 are dangerous, as they seem inflexible and will likely stick together. It'll really blow to betray Sam, but it's seemingly necessary :( Lydia is a godsend. She is down to make a move on that four, alongside Ryan, JD, Logan and myself. I've finally rebuilt a relationship with Logan, which is great, (I think they're iconic and would love to bring them in as apart of a majority). I also think someone is lying about room 9 and Logan genuinely didn't go. I can hopefully now work with that 4 to do some major to the 'other side'. Woomph, I'm super excited! :) I am slightly scared of the damage being voted 'hero' and someone 'people would like to see win' will cause, but hopefully, also being voted a goat will nullify that! Matt's vote, that was crazy. That was, tight. The night before tribal Matt went to Ali and told him that he was thinking about voting out Trevor. Being that me, Ail, Trevor and Lydia were in a final four, me and Ali agreed that this wasn't going to happen so we agreed that we would keep an eye on Matt and try to calm him down so that he would stop targeting Trevor. The only way we were going to tell Trevor was if Matt was really going to push it and as it turns out he really wanted to push it. So it was time to do what we did with Sam, save that ass.
