𝗡𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗔 𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗘𝗦
By the request of my darling @ginevrastilinski-ocs and @dancingsunflowers-ocs (as well as @luucypevensie, though she's already been infodumped to about my newest children), I hereby present to you my new OCs for The Chronicles of Narnia! I might not have their official intro posts up for a little bit, but please still fell free to ask me questions about them!
(Before I get any futher into this, there are a few things I should clarify in order for the lore surrounding these OCs to make sense: 1) my OCs' stories are purely based off of the movie canon because the most I've read of the books is the first chapter of The Magician's Nephew, and 2) I have messed with the canon of the movies like, a lot. For starters, the Pevensies never go back into their world at the end TLTWATW, so they remain the kings and queens of Narnia. For another thing I also completely messed up the timeline so that the Telmarines try to invade and take over shortly after they become the rulers after they've heard about the White Witch's death, and Caspian defects and offers help to the Narnian crown, both because he wants to save himself from his uncle and because he never supported the invasion to begin with - basically, I'm just rewriting most of the story after the first movie to my liking. I'm still figuring out the intricacies of what that's going to mean for certain important events in the last two movies, but for now, on to telling you about the OCs!!)
HEMERA:
Tumblr media
— Susan ship.
— Hemera comes from a family of Golden Witches - witches that have mastery over light and heat and solar energy depending on their power level. Her family comes from the same coven that the White Witch used to be a part of, and only a few of them, including Hemera's mother, were able to escape and survive when Jadis killed most of the coven and took over Narnia (yes, I have also very much made up my own Narnian witch lore).
— When Hemera is eleven years old, however, Jadis comes looking for the Golden Witches she missed, killing Hemera's mother, grandmother, great-aunt, and even her human father, and she is sent away to hide, becoming the only Witch besides Jadis left alive in Narnia.
— She spends the next several years in hiding, being sheltered by kind animals or sleeping in forests and being kept safe by the trees, until she hears that the prophesied Daughters of Eve and Sons of Adam have actually arrived in Narnia and are teaming up with Aslan to form an army against the White Witches forces, and she decides to volunteer her magic to help in the fight.
— Her magic isn't actually very strong or focused, however, because she's spent so long barely using it to try and stay safe, so she doesn't do much in the fight. But after Jadis is defeated and the Pevensies are crowned rulers of Narnia, Aslan suggests that they appoint Hemera as the Court Witch - a position rulers of Narnia before Jadis would always have a Witch fill, to help in any battles and provide council on magical matters - promising that he will give her lessons to help her connect more to the Deep Magic and her own powers.
— A hopeless little lesbian who takes one look at Susan with her bow and arrows and pretty much immediately falls in love (it takes Susan a little longer, especially considering the era she comes from, but she gets there).
— Definitely just as much a ray of sunshine as her powers suggest, but also not very good at social interaction since she's spent the majority of her time alone since she was eleven, so she's very impulsive and often just says whatever pops into her head (definitely a perfect contrast to Susan's quieter and planning-inclined nature).
— She and Susan are very much sunshine x sunshine protector.
— Becomes another sister to the rest of the Pevensies; she might have lost one family, but she definitely gained another.
ALARIC RYKER:
Tumblr media
— Peter ship.
— A teenage crime lord from Thorn Town, a small city far enough away from Narnia's capital to be mostly spared from Jadis's wrath when she took over Narnia, only having to suffer the eternal cold and the general decline in food rather than the White Witch's cruelty.
— Long before Alaric was born, a smuggling ring called the Shadowy Ravens sprung up in Thorn Town as a response to the lack of resources, stealing from Jadis's soliders and shipments going to the royal palace in order to give them back to members of the community. They began resorting to worse means of getting things as time went on, even killing a few of Jadis's guards, but Jadis never payed them enough mind to take action against them, and the few soliders who did try to get revenge for their comrades were not sucessful.
— Alaric was born a street rat, born to a mother who didn't even know who his father was and who abandoned him when he was a few months old, and he was taken in by the second-in-command of the Shadowy Ravens, who raised him like his own son and taught him everything he knew.
— Alaric eventually rose to second-in-command himself (after doing some less-than-ethical tasks to prove himself) and after both the Ravens' leader and his adoptive father were killed in a scuffle with Jadis's soliders, shortly before the Pevensies came to Narnia, he rose to become the youngest leader the gang had ever had.
— About a year after the Pevensies are crowned kings and queens, when the Telmarines start to invade, Peter approaches Alaric and the Shadowy Ravens, asking for Alaric's help and for soliders to boost their army. He's heard about Alaric's gift for strategy, how despite being so young and constantly underestimated he's managed to take down several more gangs who sprung up in the early days of the Pevensies' rule and tried to steal his territory, and Peter knows his men are strong and trained enough to fight the Telmarines, but loyal enough that they will only join the fight if their leader gives them permission.
— Alaric is pretty reluctant at first - he doesn't exactly have a great amount of trust in any Narnian leaders given how he grew up - but he also figures that not only do the four new kings and queens not seem so bad, but that even if they don't turn out very well then the Telmarines would be worse, so he agrees to lend his strategic knowledge and any of his men who are willing to fight to the cause.
— After the Telmarines are defeated, Peter offers him a position as the new head battle strategist of the Narnian military, and Alaric actually decides he's had enough of being a gang leader, of all the violence and worrying about an entire village full of people depending on him, and accepts it, giving control of the Ravens over to his second but also making sure that the Pevensies set up a new system that will provide extra resources to towns and cities farther away from the capital like Thorn Town. (He also accepts the offer only a little bit because he thinks the new High King is cute and brave and compassionate.)
— It still takes him and Peter a while to get together, mainly because Alaric has big-time trust issues and struggles to let down any of his walls, but once they do they're a surprisingly sweet couple, and the other Pevensies are more than happy to accept Alaric as their new future brother-in-law.
KAI HALLOWS:
Tumblr media
— Caspian ship.
— A pirate boy!! He was basically born on the sea, to a former captain of the Narnian Navy (Jadis disbanded most of the military when she took over and replaced them with her own soliders) and his wife. Kai was born on his father's ship, but it was difficult since no one on board really knew how to help a woman giving birth, and his mother died shortly after.
— After his wife's death, Kai's father retreated into the delusion that he was still a respected member of the Narnian military (despite the fact that most of the sea around Narnia was half-frozen and everyone in the surrounding countries were too scared of Jadis to allow his ship to dock in their cities) and ran his ship like a dictator, barely ever giving his crew a break and ignoring his son unless Kai had done something he didn't like, in which case he was yelling at him loud enough for the whole ship to hear. He treated Kai more like an insubordinate member of the crew than his son, and his actual crew did more of a job raising Kai than he did, taking it upon themselves to take care of the boy and raise him right.
— Kai was definitely a troublemaker and a bit of a rogue, always getting into trouble whenever the crew was actually allowed to dock somewhere, whether that was from pickpocketing or pulling some kind of prank on a local solider. Eventually, when he was fourteen, his father became fed up with him and left him, abandoning his son at a market in a city far away from Narnia and setting sail again, despite the protests of everyone on his crew.
— But rather than let that do anything to stop him, Kai located a large abandoned ship in the local harbor, claimed it as his own, and worked odd jobs until he had enough coin to fix it up properly. A few friends he had made in the city decided to sail off with him as the first crew members of the Golden Fish - the chosen name for his new ship - and as they sailed around more and more, getting used to thieving and being pirates in general, they picked up more and more souls looking for adventure, until Kai had himself a proper pirate crew.
— And a few years later, when the White Witch was defeated and ships started coming out of Narnia again, they were able to ramp up their exploits even more, until the Golden Fish and her crew were one of the most notorious names on the high seas.
— They're so well-known, in fact, that when Caspian wants to set sail to try and find seven Telmarine lords that he thinks will have the answer to stopping the green mist that has started to overtake parts of Narnia, High King Peter decides that it would be a good idea to contact the captain of the Golden Fish and offer him a large payment for taking the prince, his two youngest siblings, and their chosen crew along for extra protection.
— Kai agrees, of course - not only will he never say no to adventure or any amount of coin, but he suspects it might be good for his reputation to do business with the High King and not wind up in prison because of it - and he and his crew take the the prince, king, and queen, along with their chosen companions, aboard their ship to set sail on this voyage.
— He and Caspian bond over their father issues at first, but they get closer and closer over the course of the adventure, with Kai bringing Caspian out of the shell he was forced to live in when he was with the Telmarines even more than the Pevensies have over the year he's been with them, and eventually, of course, they fall in love!
— Kai also develops friendships with Lucy and Edmund - he and Edmund bond over being proud bisexuals with no time for hetero bullshit, and he and Lucy are very much badass WLW/MLM solidarity - and even when the voyage is over and they return to Narnia, Peter and Susan take an immediate liking to this boy who's stolen their friend's heart and managed to make him so happy (even if he does get the shovel talk of a lifetime from both of them).
Aaaaand that's it for info on my new Narnia babies!! It might take me a bit to get some proper intro posts for them, but you can still feel free to ask me whatever questions about them you want to!!
(I know I said Grace and @oneirataxia-girl have already been infodumped to about this, but I'm tagging them both because there's new info here, and I'm also tagging @endless-oc-creations because she loves Narnia as well!!)

Ah, lazy mornings. What a blessing.
The bed was warm, comforting with two bare bodies from the night before just sharing each other with legs intertwined. Light shined through the curtains, birds sang their morning songs. All was well.
Joel was the first to wake. His brows pinch together as he took in a sharp inhale, eyes still closed as he adjusted to the invasive sunbeams entering the bedroom.
He turned his head over his shoulder, opening his eyes and blinking as he squinted at the alarm clock sat on the end table.
8:23
He turned back and a quiet yawn parted his lips as he lazily tightened his grasp around you, just barely pulling you closer.
Joel watched as your chest rose and fell with each soft breath you took and his gaze lowered, taking in the sight of your breasts and the faint mark he left on your skin from last night. It made his heart quicken.
Moving back up to your face, he smiled to himself, drinking in the sight. He'd never tire of waking up next to you.
He lowered his head, lips hovering over your neck before placing a delicate, soft kiss to the area. His gaze would flick up, watching for movement as he continued down to your shoulder.
You let out a muted groan, eyes flickering behind closed lids as your body shifts. Joel only smirked as his kisses grew more fervent.
"Joel?" You quietly spoke, voice breaking slightly and eyes finally opening. Your head tilts a bit into the pillow, giving him more access to the junction between your neck and shoulder.
"Mornin'." Joel rasped out and subtly moved his hips, adjusting himself so you'd feel his morning wood grow and twitch along the cheek of your ass. He then pulled you flush against his chest, and he gently nipped at your pulse point, letting his teeth graze against the area before soothing it with his tongue.
You moaned and unconsciously backed yourself against him, eliciting a hushed grunt from him.
Joel moved his hand from your torso and placed it on your thigh, gently tapping the surface to wordlessly tell you to spread for him.
You did so, of course you did, and he couldn't contain the grin growing on his lips as he placed his hard cock in between your legs. He slowly rocked his hips back and forth, the head of his dick brushed against your clit each time and made you whine out so softly for him.
He continued his motions, collecting your slick on his length before finally notching at your entrance and slid in, inch by inch.
The man could make himself at home in your cunt; so warm and wet and inviting. You practically sucked him in. He stilled momentarily, just wanting to savor the feeling of being buried deep inside as if it were his last time.
Then you made an inaudible sort of noise and tactfully slid back and forth on his cock. That's when he decided to move.
Each pump from his hips were slow, careful. He wanted you to relish this just like him.
"You're s'fuckin' beautiful, baby." He murmured, lips ghosting against the shell of your ear.
"Could stay buried in ya'll day."
Your hand reached behind you, placing at the back of his head with a low moan.
His lips were parted as he panted softly, cheeks barely flushed with a light red hue.
Joel then grabbed your chin, turning you to face him so he could press his mouth against yours, hungrily sucking and biting at your bottom lip while his thrusts became more urgent. Skin against skin echoed of the walls and he looped a hand in the crease of your leg, hiking it up and delved deeper inside you.
The kiss broke with a loud gasp followed by a lewd moan sounding from your chest, eyes rolling into the back of your head. Joel continued grunting in your ear, saying words of praise while his other hand entangled in your hair before closing with a slight tug.
"Fuck, how're you so tight?"
Joel then slipped his middle finger into your mouth and you happily close your lips around the digit, tongue swirling and swiping against it.
With a satisfied hum, he pulled the thick finger from you and snaked his hand between your legs, circling and pressing against the bundle of nerves, causing an immediate reaction of your hips.
“I think this pussy was made for me, darlin’,” Now his ring and index finger came into play, spreading your lips for him so you’d be nice and open. “Takin’ me so well, like y’always do.”
Not long after, you reached your climax. Your stomach tightened and your walls clenched and fluttered around Joel’s length with quiet cries of his name, completely drenching the sheets beneath the two of you.
“That’s it, baby, take what ya need,” he placed a loving kiss to your cheek this time before hiking a leg over your body and relentlessly drilled into you. One arm slinks under you and he palms at one of your tits while the other arm wrapped over your stomach, once more pulling you close against him in an intimate embrace.
“Fuck, pretty girl- ‘M gonna cum. Y’gonna be a good girl an’ let me cum inside ya?” He asked breathily, brows creasing and eyes screwed shut as his thrust grew sloppy.
“Please,” you reply with a nod, your voice airy and small in your blissed-out state.
That was all the confirmation he needed. Your own name spilled from his tongue in a desperate whine as he shot rope after rope of his release; the head of his cock still kissed at your cervix, even after he stopped moving. He wanted to stay like this, hold you and feel you for just a second longer.
You could feel his chest and soft stomach press against your back with each labored breath he took, then his arms around you loosened slightly.
“I love you,” He whispered and finally pulled out, using an elbow to prop against one of the pillows as he leaned down to press a quick, gentle smooch to your forehead and trailed down to your mouth.
“Love you,” you mumbled back with a lopsided smile, lips puckering half-heartedly to meet his.
Joel then spent the next fifteen minutes cleaning you up, finding you fresh clothes to wear while muttering tender, endearing words to you.
When the two of you were dressed, he offered a faint smile, the corners of his eyes crinkling, and cradled your face in his hands.
“Let’s getcha somethin’ ta eat, hm?”

I Can Do It With a Broken Heart (Pt 2 to unrequited love)
A/n: HERE IT IS BESTIES!!! The official Pt 2 to unrequited love! I know the poll is still live but I’m impatient. So to make sure I’m still taking everyone’s votes into account there will be an alternate ending that should be posted right after this.
Read the Alt ending here, it's pretty similar in places
Read Pt 3 here
I'm still absolutely blown away by how well-received the first part was. This is going to be an ongoing series, all could be read individually but the "background" will be these two fics.
Warnings: Angst, Cursing, reader suffers from depressed thoughts

The next morning I was in Rhys office. He barely even looked up from the paper strewn over his desk before I spoke.
“I’m going back home.”
He sighed, leaning back into his chair. His eyes raked over me, “Does this have anything to do with why Azriel was so huffy this morning?” His eyebrow raised and I felt the anger I’d been trying to quell since last night rise its head up like a sleeping dragon.
“Fuck off. Let him be mad if he wants to be mad.” I snapped.
“Mad isn’t exactly how I would put it,” He paused looking at me. “What happened?” The High Lord questioned. I sighed not having the strength to recount the events from last night.
“Nothing but the inevitable.” he frowned at my non-answer but didn’t press any harder.
“I’ll miss you. We all will.” He said finally. I nodded.
“You all should visit.” Not an I’ll visit. No. If I could avoid it I would never step foot into this miserable court ever again.
I was gone by mid-morning. Mor had helped me winnow the things I wanted to take with me. What they did with the rest wasn’t any of my concern. Rhys or Feyre had bought it all for me anyways, let them decide what to do with their money.
Once I had gotten settled into my room, I hugged Mor goodbye and thanked her for her help. She just gave me a tighter hug and told me she would visit soon.
It was two weeks before I could see Helion. Two weeks of settling back into my court that I loved so dearly.  He was visiting Dawn court for some trade agreement that needed to be signed. I came by every day, asking if he’d returned you. His second would just silently shake her head at me. And I would stomp back to my room like an angry babe.
Two weeks of checking before I finally saw her nod her head and I had to stop myself from running into Helions office. I had the control to at least knock on the door but not much else. I quickly shut the door behind me as he called me in.
“Sunbeam!” He called out when saw my face. “I had hoped the rumors of you moving back home were true.” He walked around the desk and gave me a brisk hug. Very out of character for him.
“You’re not an easy man to schedule an appointment with, Helion.” I smiled warmly at the High Lord of my court.
“If you wanted a piece of me, you only had to say the words and I would have come running darling.” There's the flirt I remember. I thought, rolling my eyes.
“But judging by your urgency in requesting a meeting that my second expressed to me, I’m going to assume that’s not what you wanted to see me for.”
My smile dropped as I braced myself for the question I needed to ask him.
“I need you to break a mating bond”
His mouth fell open. For once in my life, Helion was speechless. “I don’t know if I can even do that. Are you sure that’s what you want?” His eyes saw right through me. I threw my head back, a sad laugh bubbling past my lips.
“Yes. No. Gods I don’t know. I just don’t want it to hurt like this forever.” I felt treacherous tears starting to fall down my face. Helion grabbed my arms gently before I could wipe them away.
“I know you well enough to know that you don’t run away from hard things.” He held me against his chest as I really started to sob.
“Helion. Every second that I’m away from him it kills me. I’m over here dying inside over some male who only ever saw me as a second option.”
“Then he’s an idiot. But the mother still saw fit to make you two mates. Give it some more thought, you’re clearly still not fully decided. I’ll do some research to see if it’s even possible and if you still want to, I’ll be here to help.” I nodded my thanks into his shirt. He takes my head between his hands and uses his thumbs to wipe the tears still streaking down my face. He gives me a gentle kiss on the top of my head before I walk out of the room.
I sat on the decision for a month. A month of volleying back and forth. Weighting the pros and cons of my choice. I had started doing my own research through the tomes in the library I had access to. My eyes widened as I finally found the information I needed.
Picking up the book I all but sprinted to Helion’s office. I didn't bother knocking as I pushed past the door. Helion looked up from his desk and raised an eyebrow at me.
Panting, I showed him the page in the book. “Are you sure?”
“I’ve never been more sure of anything in my whole life.” I promised him. He still looked skeptical but walked around to where I stood anyway.
“I can’t say this is going to be pleasant.” He said wearily as I laid down on the couch in his study. “I’ve never heard of anyone doing this. I’ve seen rejection but this is cutting off the magic at the source.”
I looked into the males eyes, eyes I had known my whole life.
“Please. Nothing can hurt more than this already does.” Sympathy washed over his face and he leaned over me, placing a hand to each of my temples. It felt like the worst headache I had ever had in my life. My head was being split open and I heard the whimper leave my mouth. The pressure of his hands lifted slightly and I fought to get out the words. “I’m okay. Keep going.” I couldn’t open my eyes to see his face but his hands didn’t move. The pounding broke to a burning heat. I could feel the moment it snapped, I could almost picture the scissors snipping that tight string that connected us. One last fleeting rush of pure pain pushed through the bond. And then it was gone. My head was still pounding, I opened my eyes and saw Helion panted above me.
“How do you feel?” He asked, helping me into a sitting position.
“Like I have one hell of a hangover.” I pressed a hand to the bridge of my nose. Like I could squeeze out the uncomfortable feeling. “But also lighter.” My free hand going to my chest. It would take some time to adjust to this new feeling. But I could not stop the smile that spread over my face. Before Helion could say anything else, I reached up to wrap my arms around his neck.
“I can’t thank you enough.” I said into his neck. He gave a tight laugh and hugged me back.
“You should go sleep this off. Please tell me if any of the pain gets worse.” He held my face between his hands and I nodded as much as I could. I all but floated back to my room.
I fell into a familiar routine back in the Day Court. I took up my old job as a researcher. My days were spent surrounded by the massive libraries of my home court. People would come to us with questions and it was our job to use the knowledge at our disposal to find them answers. It kept me busy at the very least, but I did have to admit that I love doing it. I felt more useful here than I ever had at the Night Court. Pangs of sadness would rip through me when someone snarked in a way that made me think of Cassian. When someone would smirk and I could only picture Rhysand standing in front of me as he beat me in chess. The art was so beautiful that I longed to show Feyre if only to see that twinkle in eye as she dissected the colors and shading used.
I smiled as the pang in my chest at the thought of Azriel held no pain. It had taken me some time to get used to the emptiness in my chest, I had grown so used to the hollow feeling of the unreturned bond but this emptiness wasn’t pain but instead it was like a weight had been taken off my chest.
Someone calling my name pulled me from my musing. One of the messengers, Dia, smiled brightly up at me. “Hey sunbeam. Helion asked me to deliver this to you.” I took the golden envelope from her. I thanked her and she turned around, leaving me back to my books.
I slid my finger under the seal and pulled out the letter. He was flirty even in a letter. He had requested that I accompany him to the latest ball he was hosting. Helion, ever the charmer, even placed boxes for me to check yes or no. I giggled to myself at the juvenile nature of it, but checked yes with the quill sitting next to me.
The ball was just a few days away and I was so excited as dress after dress were brought into my room for me to try on. The one that ended up catching my eye was a floor length glossimer dress, such a pale golden color it looked almost like sunlight itself. The bottom was dyed a light pink color that flowed into it seamlessly. It took my breath away as I smoothed out the light fabric. It fit like a glove and I knew instantly this was the dress I had to wear.
My reflection looked like a stranger. My hair was pinned to one side, sweeping down over my shoulder and my back. A golden tiara was woven into loose curls. Long golden chandelier earrings studded with diamonds almost touched my shoulders. The sun had created a sultry blush on the high points of my cheeks. I looked happier than I had in years. I sensed Helion's presence in my room and caught his eyes in the floor length mirror.
He let out a low whistle and I blushed, adjusting my tiara. I walked over to him and he held out his hand for me, twirling me around dramatically when I took it. “No one will be able to take their eyes off of you, Sunbeam.” His eyes hungirly raked over me, “If you ever reconsider my offer. I would take you to bed in a heartbeat. Just say the words.” I pushed his shoulder, I didn’t doubt his words.
“Keep your pants on Helion. We have a ball to get to.”
“I’m High Lord. I can be late.” His pupils had dilated and I rolled my eyes, pushing him out the door before I linked my arm into his.
The ball was as lavish as I had expected. There was much to celebrate and this was mostly to welcome the new High Lord. Eris. Beron had finally died a few months back and Eris had officially stepped into the role with grace. The autumn court once known for its cruelty seemed to be taking a new direction and as I talked to nobility from the court, it was for the better. I had gotten to know him over the years, his frequent visits to the Night Court, plus a few flirty exchanges that I always brushed off, while he was helping us during the war softened me to him. Learning the true events of that night with Mor.
I locked eyes with Eris across the room. He had been heartbreakingly handsome when he was just High Fae but as a High Lord? His hair had grown slightly longer, just touching his shoulders. Dressed in a deep maroon suit that showed off every single one of his muscles. The permanent scowl that had been etched into his face had been replaced with a smile that radiated comfort. My feet seemed to move without deciding to. Eris kept his eyes locked onto mine as I got closer. My cheeks heated up under his intense stare.
“Hi little sunbeam,” Honeyed words wrapped around me. “Seems like you’re no longer hiding in the shadows.” He held out his hand, eyes flickering to the dance floor. I smiled up at him and gently placed my hand in his.
His touch was firm and the warmth of his power radiated off of him. He clutched my waist, pulling me flush to his front. I felt every plane of his toned body pressed against me and goosebumps broke out across my skin having nothing to do with the temperature in the room. The two of us gilded across the floor. I could feel the eyes of the room on us but I only had eyes for the male in front of me.
“If I had known you danced this good, I would have pulled you out of that miserable court a long time ago.” He spoke into the shell of my ear.  “I’ll never understand what the Shadowslinger was thinking, even I could smell the mating bond on you. Plus, one look at me with those beautiful doe eyes and I would have been putty in your hands.” He nipped at my earlobe and I felt it deep in my stomach.
“Well good thing he’s not my mate anymore.” I whispered back to him, voice breathy. He responded with a kiss to my neck. All of a sudden I felt his warmth disappear. Before I could even process what had happened, I was standing half ways across the room. Eris just smirked, eyes twinkling with mischief.
“Stand down, you overgrown bat.” The High Lord said and that’s when I heard the growl from my side, caught a glimpse of wings and sapphire blue. Before another word could leave my mouth, I was being pulled out of the ballroom and outside to the balcony.
I thrashed against Azriel’s grip on my arm. His hand wrapped around my wrist tight enough to bruise.
“What the hel was that?” He yelled at me, finally letting go of my wrist.
“You had no right!” I screeched at him. Anger seethed through me. I felt my palms heat up from the light trying to escape from them. He went to grab my arm and I ripped it back from his reach. “Don’t you fucking dare.”
“Please.” Was all he said and suddenly it was like that night all over again. Me pouring my heart out and all he could say was please.
“Please what, Azriel? Is that all you know how to do, beg and plead. For what? Was breaking my heart once not enough for you.”
“Gods. What do you want me to say?” He ran his hands through his hair. He looked like he was about to lose it. Good. “Do you want to hear how I was fucking terrified. How any good thing that I had ever received had been taken away from me? That when I felt that twinge in my chest, that I knew what it meant but prayed to the gods that it wasn’t that.” I went to start in on him again. “Would hearing that I looked for you in every female I came across help us here?.”
“Stop. Just stop. I’m sure you’ve rehearsed this all before but do you actually think I’m stupid enough to believe it?” I spit out between my teeth.
“No. Gods this is coming out all wrong.” He ran a frantic hand through his hair. I clocked the shake in them “Why did you break the bond?”
I laughed at his audacity. “Why? You have the nerve to ask me why?” My voice dripped venom, “I did it because I couldn’t stand being tied to you like that. That night..” I started, he interrupted me.
“I said the most vile things I could think of. I panicked when you told me about the bond. If you could feel it too, I knew nothing good could have come from that so I pushed you away.” I shook my head, as if I could shake his words away from my ears.
“You seemed so shocked when I told you.”
His head sunk down, voice small “I was shocked because no part of me believed, believes, that I deserve you in that way.” When he stepped forward, I didn’t step away. Mind too busy catching up with his words. “Please say something. “
I turned my eyes up to look at him. Hazel eyes soft sparkling with unshed tears. I wanted to rip into him. I truly did. Some sick part of me wanted to make him hurt like he had hurt me but I know that wouldn’t fix anything here. What is done was done.
“You don’t get to do this to me. You don’t get to say all the right things and just have me forgive you. You don’t get to say that you love me after everything you did.” He sighed. Leaning his head on top of mine. I frowned at the contact, but didn’t push him away, refusing to melt into him. “Whatever your reason. You said all those things that you knew would hurt me, you said them and some part of you had to believe them.”
“I know. There isn’t a day that I don’t regret everything that I said, everything I had put you through over all those years. I took you for granted and I didn’t realize how much I loved you until you were gone. Until I felt that bond being snatched away from me” I wanted to push him back but something in me let his words sink into my bones.
“I had dreamed for so long how it would feel when I finally heard you say those words, And do you know what I feel?” His eyes glimmered with hope as I took a step away from him, out of his grasp. “Nothing. I feel nothing for you. Not anger, not contempt.” Tears slipped out of his eyes at my harsh words. “Of course I remember what it felt like before. Maybe some part of me will always love you in my own way but I’m not tied to you anymore and I have never been so thankful for something in my entire life.” He flinched like I had hit him.
“Do you really mean that?” His voice was so small it almost made me feel bad for him. Almost.
“I do.” I sucked in a heavy breath. “Look, we’ll most likely still have to see each other so I don’t want to end on a bad note. You were still one of my best friends for over a century and this doesn’t undo all of that but this,” I gesture between the two of us, “Will never be anything else but that, a friendship.” He gave me a sad smile.
“I’ll take whatever you are willing to give me.” I turned to walk away and he reached for my arm, I grabbed his hand and gave it a gentle squeeze before I walked back to the ball that was in full swing.
I weaved in between bodies easily. Finding Eris with ease. Despite being in the middle of a conversation, he stepped away the moment he sensed my presence. Not sparing a glance to the fae surrounding him.
“That’s all settled then?” He asked, giving me a once over. I nodded and took his hand again.
“I believe we were in the middle of a dance?” I pulled him against me, not realizing how much I missed the feeling of his heat against my skin. I placed my head on his chest. We didn’t so much as dance, more so swayed in place. Arms wrapped around each other. He tapped my chin with a gentle finger and I let him guide my mouth up to his. The kiss was soft and sweet, like holding your hands in front of a warm fire after a day in the cold. When I tried to deepen it, he laughed against my lips. I let out a shameless whine as he disconnected our lips. As I looked into his eyes, I felt the stirring of something familiar and for the first time, welcomed it as that hole in my chest was filled again.

A wave of bright, soft sunshine casts across the floor of the bar, spreading like wildfire as the heavy wooden door creaks open.  Bottle of sake in his hand, Zoro turns towards the source of the light illuminating the dim and moody bar.  His heart stutters at the sight of your figure, silhouetted by the light pouring in behind you; radiance, confidence, and strength oozing from your aura, you’re a fallen angel, kissed and smothered by sunbeams in one last blessing before being cast from heaven.  Doe eyes soften at the sight of him, resoluteness replaced with fondness and affection.
“Had a feeling you’d be here soon.” he says with a lopsided grin, setting his bottle on the table.  Nearly vibrating with anticipation, you rest your bags on the ground and walk towards him; there’s a sense of hesitation hanging in the air as you approach, attempting to partially mask your unadulterated glee, but you can’t help the way your feet start to fly across the floor with increasing velocity.  Dropping all pretenses, you fling yourself into his arms, grinning from ear to ear and burying your face into his neck.  “You look great.” he murmurs, pressing his lips to your forehead before nuzzling his cheek into yours.
“So do you… I missed you.” you mumble, the vibrations of your voice spreading underneath his skin.  Smothering your senses in the familiar scent of sweat and steel, a veil of comfort and security falls over you like a warm, clean blanket straight from the dryer.  Both of your bodies have been molded and changed over the past two years, but your skin still melts into his as if the two of you were never separated—as if no time had passed at all.
“Missed ya’ too.” he says quietly, rubbing his thumb rhythmically across your cheek.  Nestling your face into his palm, head tilted, your eyes stare back at him with dreamy reverence.  During your separation, in his dreariest moments, he had wondered if you would mind his missing eye and the assortment of new, small, white scars across his front; however, the love and adoration brimming in your eyes crushes all hint of fear or apprehension—you were simply ecstatic to be in his presence once more.
Leaning forward, he smirks at your eagerness as you mimic his motions and attempt to brush your lips against his; it’s been over two years too long, and yet he can’t help but tease you for just a moment longer, delaying the kiss you were both yearning for by softly dragging his thumb across your bottom lip.  Seeing the overflowing want pouring from your gaze is worth the seconds lost and then some; cupping your face, he gently pulls you towards him and presses his lips to yours, sealing your reunion.
It’s soft and gentle at first, and a smidgen clumsy as a result of time spent apart, sparks spreading and stomachs fluttering at the intimacy you both had been deprived of for far too long.  Zoro’s hand travels up along your jawline, every movement filled with passion as the kiss deepens, his fingers eventually reaching your hair and tangling into your tresses.  The heated drag of your lips against one another is a long-lost song heard once more, satiating both a feeling of nostalgia and a craving for more.
He pulls away for a moment to admire the pink blush covering your face, the one that he’d imagined creeping across your cheeks for years.  The long, sleepless nights spent pining and waiting dissipated with a blink, flung away like weightless grains of sand; all that mattered was that you were here, with him, again.
Zoro’s lips meet yours once more, both of you smiling into the kiss; thumb running along your jawline, he pours his heart out to you, each swipe of his tongue conveying his yearning.  You reciprocate in turn, and he accepts each silent confession of emotions greedily, drinking them in and committing them to memory.  There was nothing outside of the two of you, as your mouths parted, still wet with the remnants of unspoken words, the only world that mattered was in the warmth of your connected gazes.
He loved you; he loved you so much that he could barely speak, despite spending over two years craving the sound of your voice.  He’s rendered you lovestruck and speechless too, unable to do anything but smother his face in kisses, giggling softly between each press of lips to skin.
A dark, amused chuckle snaps both of you from your trance—Shakky had returned behind the bar, the click of her heels against wooden floorboards had fallen on deaf ears.  Snapping apart as Zoro nearly drops you, both of your faces turn red with embarrassment, gazes fixed at the floor.  “Aren’t you going to buy her a drink?” she asks Zoro with a smirk and motioning for the two of you to sit at the bar.
“Got any infused sake?” he asks her as he returns to his bottle, blush fading as he regains his usual confidence.
“I’ve got mango, yuzu, strawberry…” she lists, index finger tracing along her collection of spirits behind the bar.
“Still strawberry?” he asks you with a ghost of a smile on his face as he admires you.
“Still strawberry.” you reply with a soft smile, cheeks still pink and rosy.

“Good morning, princess.”
The touch of soft lips kisses your closed eyelids, your nose, your cheeks and finally your mouth, gently stirring you awake. You hum quietly, contentedly, snuggling closer into your boyfriend’s warm arms around you.
“Hi,” you smile, your breath ghosting against his lips, before you connect them with yours once more.
It’s almost as if you’re still dreaming, enveloped by soft sheets and Oberyn’s warm embrace, the golden morning light flooding the room when you finally open your eyes. He’s already looking at you, your favorite crooked grin playing around the corners of his mouth. The dimple on his cheek is especially pronounced like this, making your heart flutter even after waking up next to him on most mornings for months now.
“Happy birthday,” he purrs, one hand coming up to cup your face, his thumb gently caressing the soft apple of your cheek.
Your own grin widens and you lean into his touch. “Thank you,” you say breathily, like speaking too loud might shatter the quiet peacefulness of the moment.
He kisses you again, lips moving against yours, giving you one swipe of his tongue against your bottom one before he pulls back, chuckling at the way you’re following to chase his touch.
“You stay right here,” he orders you gently as he swings his feet down to the ground and stands up, carefully covering you with the duvet that got ruffled with his movements. “Make yourself comfortable and I will be right back, yeah?”
You nod silently, your smile beaming by now. You watch his retreating figure, only wearing his black boxers, leaving most of his body bare on display for you. Cords of muscle are moving under his golden skin, the sunbeams falling through your windows are catching in his dark hair, still ruffled from the night’s sleep, and you’re mesmerized. You always are when it comes to him.
You hear his movements in the kitchen, the fridge and cabinets opening and closing, the clatter of something, and smile to yourself. When he had asked what you wanted for your birthday weeks ago, breakfast in bed had been your first response.
Sinking deeper into the sheets again, you grab your phone, reading a couple of messages congratulating you, laughing at the photo of your childhood self that your mom had sent you. A sweet scent wafts from the kitchen into the bedroom and your mouth waters.
Oberyn returns with a bowl of strawberries, another bowl of whipped cream and a stack of waffles, with a single burning candle on top of it. You giggle at the sight, scooching into a sitting position and helping him place the food on top of the covers.
He lifts the plate with the waffles to your face and, winking at you, tells you to make a wish. You close your eyes, the image of his face still vivid behind your lids, and blow out the flame. As soon as he sets it back down, you pull him in for another kiss.
“This is perfect. Already the best birthday ever. Thank you, baby.”
“Anything for you, my sun.” The endearment falls so easily from his lips, like he has no idea that it sends your heart soaring every time he says it.
He holds a strawberry to your lips, his eyes glued to your face as you take a bite. When you playfully nip at his fingers, the deep rumble of his laugh makes a home straight in your chest, filling you with warmth.
You watch him eat, watch his plush lips close around the fruit, his teeth sinking into it. His appreciative low hum at the taste in combination with the sight in front of you has you pressing your thighs together, your need for him always simmering just below the surface.
This must be what perfection is like, you think, looking around the room, taking in all the peacefulness that’s surrounding you right now. It’s almost overflowing, this love that you have for the man in front of you. And somehow, inexplicably, he loves you just as much.
When Oberyn’s teeth dig into another strawberry, he catches your gaze, must see the heat behind your eyes. He winks at you, deliberately slowly biting into the fruity flesh, licking his lips afterwards without ever dropping the eye contact with you.
“Are you full already?” he asks, a cocky smile playing around his lips.
“Not quite,” you tell him, eyes innocently widened. “But I got really hungry for something else just now.”
“Yeah?” he chuckles, pushing the food further away and reaching for you instead.
You meet him eagerly, pressing your lips to his hungrily. His hands are everywhere, spanning wide over your body, leaving a burning trail over your skin and pressing into your flesh so deliciously that you’re already breathing soft moans into his mouth.
His fingers slide under the shirt of his that you’re sleeping in, trail over the lace of your underwear until he’s right between your thighs. The fabric is already drenched there, clinging to your heated skin. He growls at your obvious arousal, licks deeper into your mouth while his fingers trace the shape of you over your panties.
He sits back, watches you with dark eyes as you blink up at him, breathless and pleading. You pull the shirt off of your body, baring yourself for him, hungry for the expression that you see on his face every time he lays eyes on you like this.
“My pretty girl,” he muses, still lazily stroking his fingers over your underwear, not swayed by your desperate whine.
He picks up one of the strawberries, dips it into the bowl of whipped cream and brings it up to your lips, watches with rapt attention when your mouth obediently closes around the fruit. It leaves bits of cream behind, and he’s on you in a heartbeat, kisses the mess away and licks deep into your mouth. You love when he pounces on you like this, his movements all gracefulness and unrestrained strength.
“You taste so sweet,” he whispers into your neck, nipping at the skin there.
You wiggle underneath him, trying to reach for a berry yourself, wanting to kiss the taste off his mouth as well. He stops you before you can dip it into the cream, one hand wrapping around your wrist, easily dwarfing it.
“I have a better idea,” he grins, all teeth, and a feral glint in his eyes. “Going to taste even sweeter.”
You watch in stunned silence as he finally peels your panties off of you and down your legs, then swirls two fingers through your wetness and sucks them into his mouth.
“So much sweeter.”
He easily plucks the fruit from your hand and moves closer to you, your legs easily parting wider around his broad frame. You whine his name, the realization of what he’s about to do slowly dawning on you. Your pussy clenches around nothing at the mere thought.
Oberyn leans over you, drinking in your every reaction as he pinches the strawberry between two fingers and slowly trails it down your body. You shudder at the unfamiliar texture when he reaches your nipples, circling the hardened nubs and chuckling at your responding moan.
“Does it feel good?” he asks, wide smile on his face.
“So good,” you breathe, arching your back trying to get more friction, “please, Oberyn.”
With a hum, he stops playing with your breasts and continues moving downwards. When he finally reaches your cunt, you’re dripping for him, wetness spread over your skin. He moves the strawberry through your folds with ease, eyes glimmering and glued to what he’s doing. You could almost come from the sight of his ravenous expression alone.
He brings it up to your face again, showing you the red fruit coated in your slick. Holding your gaze, his teeth dig into it. You moan at the sight, one hand tangling in his hair to hold him close, pulling him into you once more.
“It is even sweeter than I thought, princess.”
You crash your lips against his, your tongue licking into his mouth with the need to share this with him, to taste what he tasted. It is sweet, mixed with the tangy hints of yourself. He pulls back much too soon, mischief dancing on his features.
“Let me get you your own one,” he purrs, already reaching for the bowl again. “As a present, hm?”
You watch with wide eyes as he goes straight for your pussy this time, dragging a second berry through your wetness, nudging at your entrance and bumping against your clit. A high pitched whine leaves you at that, and he arches an eyebrow at you, a smirk growing on his face.
“I wonder…” He trails off, swipes the strawberry over your clit again, more purposeful this time.
You're helplessly aroused, your hips twitching at his ministrations. He steals another kiss from your lips, before he sinks down between your legs, nipping at the soft skin of your upper thighs.
Another kiss straight to your clit, a swipe of his tongue, until it’s replaced by the foreign fruity texture again, rubbing against you with calculated movements now. His tongue laps at your entrance instead, drinking up your arousal, before he fucks it straight into you.
Your hips almost lift off of the mattress, a cry of pleasure falling from your lips, and you grab his head with both hands, fingers sinking into the dark strands of his hair.
“Fuck,” you whine, almost overwhelmed with the sensations and white hot pleasure coursing through your veins. “Right there, please Oberyn, I’m so close–”
His responding groan sends rippling vibrations through you, pushing you right to the edge within seconds. It swirls around you, the scratch of his beard against your skin, the wild glint in his eyes at your every moan, so obviously relishing in giving you pleasure, the movement against your clit, his tongue right where you need him – taking hold of you and sending you flying. You come with a shuddering cry, clenching around his tongue and flooding his mouth with your orgasm, as stars burst behind your eyelids and full bliss overtakes your body.
Oberyn works you through it, not letting up until you’re weakly trembling underneath him, tugging at his hair once more. His face swims into view in front of you, a brilliant smile grazing his features. It’s sinful, the way his pupils are blown so wide his eyes are almost black and your arousal is sticking to his beard. You want to kiss and lick it off of him.
Instead, the taste of fruit and yourself floods your mouth once more, as he brings the berry, covered in your orgasm, up to your lips. You share it with him, tongues and limbs tangled together.
“I love you,” you sigh happily, wrapping your arms and legs around him, ready to let him consume you entirely.

"Leaving the house. Love you."
Your text message arrives around 15 minutes before the end of Leon's shift. It had been a relatively peaceful night in Raccoon City, except for a fight in the busy bar on Main Street at 3 am. Again, Leon had to separate two males who got involved in a fight because of a woman. " Every Saturday, he thought as he sent both men their way before asking for backup. At least they were inoffensive enough to get in their ride-share app cars without complaining.
Leon welcomes your text message with a smile. You tell him you want to restart your fitness journey at 5 am. Why? Because if you don't do it at 5 am, you will never compromise for the rest of the day, so it is a way to encourage yourself.
Of course, Leon was there at 5 am every morning to accompany you. There was no way in hell Leon would let you run alone. The streets could be dangerous, and Leon was always cautious about your safety, especially given the dangers of Raccoon City.
But today, the first day of his new schedule, Leon couldn't relax. He asked you to text him when you left the house, let him know if anything bothered you, and carry pepper spray, though you hated the idea of "arming" yourself. Leon couldn't fathom something happening to you.
With a sudden decision in mind, Leon turns on his patrol car with his lights on, but no sound. He has an appointment he can't miss.
-x-
Breathe, you tell yourself. Breathe deeply. Concentrate.
With your favorite playlist playing in your ears, you put one foot after the other, focused on exercising. It is your first day without Leon at your side as your loyal partner, and you thought you would feel bad, but sometimes being alone is the most peaceful thing that could happen.
You texted him as he asked you to put one earbud in (Leon begged you not to put both and to always be aware of your surroundings) and started jogging- slowly, at your own pace, with no stress. The sun wasn't out yet, and the birds weren't singing yet. Most lights are off in the houses in your neighborhood.
This new fitness journey has always been about your mental health, a way to make you feel better about yourself. The fresh air, the feeling of having your body moving. It sucked that you had to be aware of your surroundings, but what can we do right?
Within ten minutes of your run, you notice the familiar lights of a police car appear behind you. You are surprised, turning your head quickly behind you and seeing the familiar car following you at a slow speed, escorting you as you exercise.
As you get close to the park near your house, far away from most houses, you hear your boyfriend's voice through the speakers.
"You are doing fantastic! I know you can do it, honey!"
You giggle, then continue and focus on your usual jog- almost a walk, but you don't mind. What matters is that you are feeling good about yourself. After you had enough, you walk toward the police car, breathing heavily, and Leon has his window open, a massive smile on his face.
"Hey, pretty." He looks so handsome, with the rising sunbeams illuminating his face.
"Hello, officer. Am I in any trouble?" You tease back, lying against his open window. Leon offers you a water bottle, which you gladly accept and drink. "Shouldn't you be off work already?"
"Yeah. Need to keep civilians safe, though. Especially adorable ones like you."
"I would be fine. My boyfriend told me to bring this." You raise the pepper spray in your hand, and Leon nods, happy.
"I am glad you are following your boyfriend's direction." Leon then stops and becomes more serious. "I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable."
"You didn't, sweetie. Are you telling me you will always escort me during my morning jogs?"
"I will always keep you safe. Your safety is my number one priority, always." Leon replies, his tone very serious. You nod, saluting his seriouness. "Do you need a ride back home?"
"No, I will be fine on the way home. I promise."
Since no one was around, you decided to return to the house after giving Leon a quick goodbye kiss. Looking over your shoulder, you saw the police cruiser still parked in the same spot, probably with the driver still keeping his eyes on you.
Leon watches as you quickly turn around to blow another kiss before disappearing. His face is red, and his heart feels fuzzy. He shakes his head, thinking it's better to bring the car back to the police station.

Summary: After one night of respite, the reader confronts the day to realize the shadows haven't quite disappeared yet.
There's a timid sunbeam lighting up your cozy little room. Nothing scary or menacing in view. You look over to your nightstand with barely opened eyes to see your mushroom light still on. The clock on your desk shines the time. 7:00am.
7am?!
You sit straight up, immediately noticing the big dent on the left side of your bed. Yes, of course, Jacob came in last night. Your cheeks flush with the thought of having slept so soundly next to the heaping mountain of muscles that is your friend. You feel so confused and well-rested. For the first time in a few weeks, you awoke calmly. This might have been the best night of sleep of your whole damn life, and it's 7:00am! You managed to wake up before your alarm. You wouldn't have to be rushing to school for once. You were usually only able to fall asleep when the sun started shining and chased away the threatening shadows of the night. So, being late to school was a recurring occurrence for you. For once, your father wouldn't have to come in to try and wake you up. You were pushing away your blankets to get up when there was a knock on your door before it slowly cracked open.
"Sweetheart, time to wake up. Don't want to be late for sch-"
Your father's traits lifted up in surprise, and honestly, you couldn’t really blame the man. You didn't keep track of all the mornings he found you all tangled up in your blankets, hair sprawled everywhere like a bird's nest, saliva drooling down your chin.
"Did you sleep well?"
You nodded eagerly, a sincere smile spreading on your lips. Charlie seemed incredibly thrilled by that piece of news. He was no stranger to the nightmares haunting your nights and was brokenhearted to see you so tired and on edge all the time.
"Well, then. Better get down and eat breakfast before you head to school." He gave you a timid smile before softly closing your door.
You had your first breakfast with your dad in a long time. He was particularly chirpy, and you kept catching his relieved gaze. You left for school on time and had a really great day. You felt awake and energized. Participating in class and your little social circle once again felt like a rush. Your efforts were welcomed with gigantic smiles from your teachers and friends. For a second, you thought the weeks of anguish and terror might finally be behind you. Maybe a night with Jacob had been the only thing you needed to put this whole thing behind you. However, as the sun went down and shadows stretched on the ground, you got more flinchy and twitchy. Once more, you turned at every odd sound, looking over your shoulder as you left the school grounds. You almost ran to your car, locking all the doors, and left a trail of dust with how fast you headed back home on the powdery roads of Forks.
Dinner with your father was much more somber than the breakfast you shared this morning. You felt like a dagger to your heart, his disappointment when he saw you jump as he caught you by surprise in the kitchen. You usually were always careful about hiding your internal conflict from Charlie. Yet the frustration you felt tonight weighed much more than the want to hide everything from him.
Once dinner was over, you climbed the stairs with heavy steps, feeling the dread in your body get worse the closer you got to your bedroom. You opened the door to find a space very different than the one you had left when you awoke this morning. Your still unmade bed didn't feel so inviting tonight. Long gone were the rays of sunshine that scared the shadows away. The room you faced was now dark and gloomy. Nothing about it felt safe or secure.
You rushed in to turn on your mushroom light and sat on your bed, trying to summon all your courage to breathe calmly.
It's over now. Nightmares are just that. They aren't real. I'm safe now.
No matter how much you would repeat it, those words felt empty and fake. You got up, put your pajamas on, and as you were ready to get in bed, you noticed a piece of clothing jutting out from under one of the pillows. You lifted it up to find the T-shirt you lent to Jacob. He didn't keep it. He left your house shirtless so you could keep the stupid piece of clothing. You grabbed it and held it up to your nose. Immediately, your senses were overpowered by his woodsy scent. You fell to your bed, shirt still pressed on your face as you let a deep sigh leave your lungs.
Grabbing your phone on the night table, you hesitated. Your fingers hovered over the keyboard before you closed the device and threw it away.
The clock had just struck midnight when you heard something scratching outside. You almost had a heart attack when you saw Jacob hanging onto your window, motioning for you to open it.
"Jacob Black. What the hell are you doing? Do you want to kill me?!"
Your tall friend let out a deep chuckle as he swiftly stepped into your room without making a noise. His gaze fell onto the fort you had built yourself. There were pillows and blankets lined all around your bed, a very feeble attempt at a barrier. The tv screen was paused on one of your favorite movie. He gave you a worried look and took a second to really take in the state you were in. You didn't look like the relaxed girl he had, reluctantly, left in a peaceful slumber this morning.
"What?" you defensively crossed your arms on your chest, already sensing where this conversation would be going.
"What are you doing?" he quietly asked, his head slightly leaning on one side.
"I was watching a movie."
You immediately saw a shadow pass in his dark eyes and felt a familiar pain ring in your chest. You couldn't live with disappointing both your father and Jacob. Worse, you couldn't live with the pity in their eyes. If only the bad dreams could stay away.
"What are you doing," you finally asked, a bit more roughly than you had intended.
He hesitated, sensing you had been offended in some way. "I just did a quick run around the perimeter, but then I saw the light open and just wanted to make sure you were okay."
Your expression softened at the concern painted on his handsome face. Fear did make you more on edge, but you knew Jacob had done nothing to deserve that anger. You sighed before plopping down on your bed.
"That's very nice of you, but I am okay. I just didn't feel tired yet."
You felt adamant about telling him of the return of the paranoia. You were already so disappointed in yourself. You couldn't even muster the bravery to be in your room alone at night. What would it even do if you told him the truth? It felt so shameful to ask again for his help, to ask him to watch over you while you were sleeping. Just because, like a child, you were afraid of the dark and the beasts it hid. You were instantly relieved when he gave you a suspicious glance as if he might believe your lie. You gave him your best smile, trying to prove how relaxed you were. You only wanted to chase the worries away from his chocolate eyes.
That could have worked if only the sound of your house creaking under a strong gust of wind and a branch scratching on your window hadn't made you flinch so damn hard.
Jacob's gaze hardened over your tense figure. You expected him to make a comment, to confront you. As you waited anxiously for the ax to drop, he finally walked over to your bed, sat, and pointed to your television.
"May I join you then?"
You initiated him to one of your best comfort movies. It required absolutely no brain power and just helped you feel better. Always a good player, Jake obliged and even seemed to enjoy it. When you were done, you spent another hour just chatting about nothing and everything. You tried hiding your clock from his sight and hoped he wouldn't notice time flying away, but sadly, there wasn't much your figure could hide from his wolfish sight.
"It's getting late. I should probably go," He muttered after an hour of mindless chatting. His dark eyes fixed on your features, you faced each other, forearms tucked under your head while you lay on your side. You couldn't help your shoulders and jaw from tensing up at his words. The happiness and carelessness he had brought you vanished as if it never occurred. Fear crept up in your belly at the thought of being alone in the dark again.
You gave him a tight smile as you nodded. He hesitantly got up, giving you another weird look. You barely registered it, too focused on avoiding falling into a panicked state. He walked to the window, and as you thought he was about to leave, he turned around on a whim.
"I really don't understand you. Even in this state, you won't ask for my help?"
His outburst surprised you and unintentionally made you recoil at the swift motion. He sighed deeply, "Please don't look at me like this. I want to understand. Why don't you want my help?" he repeated, annoyance rippling in waves from his body.
"I- I'm not sure what you're talking about," you responded, determined to hang on to the shred of dignity you had left.
He let out a sarcastic laugh. It was dry and reeked of disdain towards this fluke you were trying to fool him with. "Stop playing Y/n. You reek of fear."
His words were like a punch in the gut. You felt shame hitting you as you realized how stupid you had been.
"See? Your reaction only confirms what I already knew. What I don't understand is why you insist on facing this alone. You can always call me, and I will always come through for you. Have I not proven that?"
"You did, but it's not your responsibility to fix me. To fix this."
"Not my responsibility?" he scoffed. He turned around while dragging his hand through his hair. He was a mix of so many emotions you couldn't pinpoint what was brewing in his brain. He stayed silent for so long that you thought he would leave you like this. You were about to add something when he raised his voice. "I would give everything to go back to that night. To be there by your side. Maybe you wouldn't have to go through that, or at least I would have been the one to rip to shreds that bloodsucker." Flames of rage danced in his eyes while you stood speechless, gawking at him.
You were at a loss for words. You had seen Jake in many different states in your friendship, but he never looked so conflicted. Anger and sadness seemed to be battling out the right to overpower him. For a rare moment, he looked incredibly vulnerable. He was back to being that innocent teenager you had always known. You approached, unsure whether that would make him lash out, but he stayed put, his eyes fixed on the ground. You knew Jacob felt responsible for what happened to you. What you didn't know is that he tortured himself with it. Your heart ached at the thought, and any frustration you had felt up to this point melted.
Softly, you grabbed his hand. "Jacob, look at me."
When he finally turned around and lifted his gaze, tears hung on to the line of his long lashes. The sight of it made your throat close up.
"Why won't you let me care for you," he whispered, inches from you.
His gaze was so deep and carried a tsunami of emotions. Without even thinking about it, you grabbed his face. Both of your hands cradled his soft and warm skin. You saw goosebumps creep up his muscled arms, mirroring the one on yours. Bringing his forehead to your own, you took a deep breath.
"I don't want to be a burden."
Saying the words that'd been ringing in your head for so long felt almost exhilarating while also being incredibly relieving. Contrary to the belief of your messed up head, the world didn't end or break in two once the thought left your lips.
"I've always thought you were such an incredible person and couldn't help but always want to be better for you. Ever since you phased, that feeling only got more intense. You've evolved so much in the past few months, and I'm still old me. When I got attacked, it was the most horrible experience of my life, but it also reinforced that concept. I couldn't even walk from yours to Emily's cabin without being attacked. The boys had to risk their lives to save me. I didn't even get one scratch, and still, I'm afraid of the dark. I'm afraid to sleep alone. I'm afraid if I let my guard down for one second... it'll happen again. Which means that I'll either die or be a burden for you guys once more because I can't even defend myself against something like that. You're already so good to me. I don't want to add this to your list of things to worry about."
Your eyes stayed closed even after you finished and controlled your breathing again. Saying it aloud was incredible, but to open your eyes to face his reaction felt nerve-racking. You were about to when a strong pair of arms wrapped around you.
"You are not and will never be a burden to me." His tone was soft and felt a little strangled. In your dimly lit little room, while the rest of the world was in a peaceful slumber, Jacob's words felt like the only thing that mattered.
He pulled back after a moment but still held you close. "I don't know what gave you the impression that you were a burden. If it ever was something I did, I want to apologize."
"I remember so vividly the look on your face when the boys brought me back to the cabin. You had the same disappointed expression as you have just now. I promise I'm trying to heal as fast I can, but this... this is harder than I thought it would be."
Confusion was now the only emotion on his face, clear as day. "Disappointed? Y/n, I never was disappointed. It was the worst, terrifying, shit your pants kind of fear I've ever felt. It's agony to know you're so ridden with fear. I was disappointed to learn that tonight was still hard for you, not because I think you're not healing fast enough, but because I hoped I finally helped you feel better. I feel so bad you have to live with these memories for your whole life. I just wish I could make them disappear."
That's when you understood the slim difference between disappointment and defeat. One was channeled towards you, and the other wasn't. For Jacob, it had always been directed at himself.
"Jacob, you're the only one who makes me breathe a little easier. You're the only reason I slept soundly last night." A new light illuminated his eyes. You steadied yourself before you continued, your tone slightly hushed. "You've always had that specific calming effect on me. You're the only person who makes things better for me. Ever since we were kids. I have always felt safe with you. You're like my personal haven."
It felt like a big thing to say, but you wanted that sadness to leave his face. You wanted his eyes to be filled with light again, and somehow, it felt right to tell him about all this. He spent so much time worrying about everything and everyone. He deserved to know how appreciated he was. He deserved to know what he meant to you.
Emotion thickened the air. So much so that it felt like you couldn't breathe just right. Your hands slid from his cheeks delicately. You placed one at the nape of his neck while the other grabbed the top of his hair. "Jake, I don't think you even understand how much you mean to me."
Time stood still for a moment. Your eyes focused on each other, and the rest of the world ceased to exist.
"Y/n, I-" his eyes held something heavier. He opened his mouth as if he was about to say something before deciding better of it. It almost looked like it cost him to try and get the words out. He gave up in a huff, and whatever was in his gaze, whatever he thought about, vanished. Some part of you wanted to push him, to ask, but tonight had been a rollercoaster enough. You could let it go for now. He pulled you in for another hug before releasing you a little.
"So, now that we've established that you are not a burden." he started softly.
"And that this is in no way your fault," you added with a grin.
He rolled his eyes, "Uhm. Can you tell me what you actually need? I can stay here with you if you want."
You felt a pang of your old fears scratch at your heart, but you let them all go in one breath. "I would very much like that."
You tucked yourselves in bed for the second night in a row. You hesitated to turn off the light, but always so observant, Jacob assured you it didn't bother him to keep it open. You lay side by side in silence. You were focused on becoming familiar with the ordinary and hazardous sounds an old house made at night when Jacob started to whisper.
"I know you think you aren't as fearless as us, but I can assure you everyone in our tribe thinks you are the bravest person they've ever met. Not many people would feel comfortable hanging out with a bunch of new werewolves."
"Brave or totally crazy," you added while making a wicked-looking face. His eyes disappeared in his bright smile, and you wished you could snap a picture of it.
"No, but really, you're the only one who stayed by my side all throughout my phasing process. No matter how dangerous it was for you. If that's not the definition of bravery, I don't know what is." He turned pensive again while his gaze darkened.
You unwillingly recalled the phasing process of Jacob. All the terrible memories flashed before your eyes. His screams of pain still rang in your ears. You remember distinctly every time you wished to take his place. If you could have taken away some of his pain, you would have in an instant. The least you could do was stay by his side no matter what. You had to fight with Billy and the rest of the pack, but in the end, even they couldn't keep you away. No one could have.
You slid into his arms, and his body tensed under the new touch before quickly relaxing to envelop you in a tight embrace.
"I would never leave you alone," you mumbled in his chest. "I know you like to have this strong and impressive appearance, but inside, you're still the same little Jacob I've always known. I know you need me."
You lightly pressed your lips onto his chest and nuzzled farther into him. Fireworks were exploding in the boy's chest as he returned the gesture with a kiss on your head.
"And Jake?"
"Uhm?"
"Don't think I didn't notice you wanted to tell me something important earlier. For tonight, it's okay, but we'll have to talk about that."

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
The night froze for a moment.
Like never before, you weren’t able to talk down the unsub, and your confident “we can talk about this” as you lowered your gun, became your last words – your last breath. They pulled the trigger — literally — and from that moment, everything happened in slow motion.
Yet the single gunshot that blared around was so damn fast. It broke the air on its way to you and went straight through your skull, killing you within half a second.
Nice and quick, you would’ve said.
“No.” Aaron’s ears started ringing; his eyes widened in disbelief and his gun slipped off his hand like sand at the same time your body dropped dead to the ground.
“Shots fired! Agent down!” JJ’s voice turned into a desperate scream.
       No.
This must be one of Aaron’s nightmares; the ones that felt too real and woke him up covered in sweat; the ones that always made him call you in the middle of the night just to hear your voice and make sure you were alright, and the ones that sometimes ended up with you laying next to him because you wanted to be there when he fell asleep again.
The digital clock on his nightstand marked 4:47 AM. He’d been dozing on and off for the past hour since the nightmare but a gentle knock on his door awakened all of his senses.
“Aaron, it’s me.” Your voice came soft but loud enough from behind the door.
An instant sigh of relief dragged him out of bed to the front door. It wasn’t the first time you’d  shown up unannounced at his place, but he still wondered, what the hell were you doing here at this time of the night? You hated driving at night.
He unlocked every lock and opened up for you. “Wha–?”
“You had a nightmare–” You interrupted him, walking in as if it was your own place “–Where I died so I came here to show you I’m very much alive.”
You toed off your shoes while tossing your coat on his couch right next to his.
“What?” You frowned, but he didn’t say a thing. He just stood there, staring at your very-much-alive self. You walked up to him and brushed the front pieces of his fluffy hair back. “Would a hug make you feel better?”
Everything you did and said was like a morning sunbeam sneaking through the blinds, bathing him with warmth. He smiled with his eyes and leaned down to you with lazy open arms, going for a tight hug where every piece of you locked and clicked together.
        No.
Each step closer to you weakened, and the moment he reached your side, his knees gave up. His entire world froze right then, too. The pool of blood spreading around you was very much real, but that didn’t stop him from lifting half of your body off the floor to hold you in his arms.
       There was no click.
       This wasn’t happening. Not again.
“Somebody!” His heart-shattering voice echoed around, “Wake up, please.” He lightly tapped your still warm cheek as if you’d simply fainted; as if there wasn’t peace, crimson, and his own tears staining your face. “Oh, honey, no. Don’t do this to me, please.”
There were no signs of you. You were just a body, and the only thing your team could do was end with the monster who had broken everyone’s heart.
No one – not even Reid – thought twice before shooting fire at the unsub, all at the same time. There was rage in every single bullet, and though it was morally wrong, in their eyes, making sure the guy was dead was the only right thing to do.
Derek’s gun was the first to run out of ammo and his muffled crying was the first one of all, too. “That son of a bitch!” His voice cracked between a sob, throwing his arms over his head in defeat. He was your running buddy, your go-to random hug, and personal hype man. The first one to notice when you got a haircut and the only one you’d had the chance to tell about your feelings for your Unit Chief.
Reid suspected those feelings, but he was waiting for an appropriate moment to ask you.
“I think I’m gonna throw up.” Spencer rushed to the closest bush, spraying his dinner out of his mouth. Witnessing your life being taken away seemed to be the start of yet another rough patch that was gonna be hard to get out of. The connection you two had was cosmic – like no other; you were the sibling he didn’t know he needed beside him.
Too bad you walked into his life too late and only got to be his sister for three short years.
“Oh, god!” JJ’s voice had never sounded so terrified.“Oh my god!” She brought her shaky hands up to her mouth with wide eyes and just stood there, staring at the hole in your forehead. She was trying not to panic, but she’d started to hyperventilate already.
The air struggled to find its way to her lungs, and if it weren’t for Rossi’s ability to calm her down and Garcia’s loud voice through her earbud, she would’ve passed out right there next to you.
“JJ?!” Garcia yelled. Poor thing, she had no idea. “Oh god! Did wha-what happened? Hello?! Someone please talk to me!”
All she heard was the first gunshot that triggered the shootout. Now everyone’s crying had her at the edge of her seat.
       Everyone’s but yours.
“Oh, no,” she mumbled to herself at the realization. “My girl. Is she gone? Is she…”
“Garcia, baby, I’m so sorry,” Derek tried to stop the tremble in his voice. “I’m so sorry. She’s–”
Penelope threw her headphones away before Morgan could finish his sentence and took off her glasses, covering her face with both hands as the tears streamed down her cheeks. You weren’t supposed to leave her. Ever. You’d planned your vacation already to London to visit Emily in just a few weeks.
God, Emily. How was Garcia supposed to tell her?
Your sudden death was evidence of god’s sick sense of humor. Putting Aaron in the exact same position again — holding the corpse of the love of his life as the vision of a less lonely future blended with gunpowder in the air – was the most fucked up joke.
You’d turned into a memory at the snap of a finger and from right then, everything was all a blur.
They ripped you off Aaron’s arms and put you inside a black bag to carry you to an ambulance – as if there was any point in doing so. He somehow made it to his apartment, got a glimpse of his clothes stained with blood – your blood – then found himself sitting on his couch as two familiar tiny hands shook him by the shoulders.
“Dad! are you okay?” Jack asked with worried, wide eyes. He was too mature for a ten-year-old and it was too soon for him to see his father broken again.
“I’m okay.” Aaron stood up, quickly drying his tears with the heel of his hand.
“Are you hungry? Aunt Jessica made us some food. I can put some in the microwave.”
“I’m okay, Buddy. It’s time for bed.”
Next thing he knew he was in bed, staring at the ceiling, wishing he could press the rewind button and time travel to any moment when he was around you.

“Agent Hotchner,” your perky voice got his attention. You were standing at his office door with two matching kitten mugs full of steaming coffee. “Do you have time to share some caffeine with me?”
He gave you a warm smile and put the papers aside. “Always.”
You’d made it a habit to bring him coffee in the middle of the day to remind him he needed to take a break. And since it became a regular thing, you had to give him a mug just because. He looked forward to your date-like breaks, and it boosted him with energy to finish everything on time, even when sometimes you two spent hours just talking.
You preferred to actually take him out of his office and go to the coffee shop two blocks away, but the one time you did it, he didn’t feel like going back to lock himself at the BAU, so the couch in his office had to do it.
You sat on it and tapped next to you, gesturing for him to join you.
“No cookies?” He asked with a smile as he plopped next to you.
“I thought I had some left.” You swung your legs over his thighs. “I’m pretty sure Reid stole the last package I had in my drawer.”
       “Girl Scout cookies?”
       “Caramel deLites.” You nodded.
“He just can’t resist them.” Hotch sipped on his coffee before getting up and reaching inside his drawer.
“You keep cookies too?” You laughed when he pulled out a pack.
“They’re not caramel deLites–” He sat next to you again and brought your legs back where they were over his “–But…”
       “Thin Oreos are perfect.”

There was some sort of interrogation from Strauss at the BAU the next morning. She needed to know exactly what happened while the memories were still fresh.
Aaron was last, and he couldn’t help but laugh at the situation; him relating the story of how his loved one ended up murdered yet again.
“I don’t see how any of this is funny, Aaron.” Erin slid down her glasses to the tip of her nose.
“Oh, I don’t think it’s funny either,” he said, and tried his best to suppress his laughter by hiding his mouth behind his hand, but his shoulder still shook.
Strauss paused the recorder and dismissed everyone that was there with a simple glance as she spoke to Hotch, “We’re gonna take a break.”
His laugh didn’t fade until he was all alone in the room and sooner than later it turned into silent angry tears. Grieving Aaron Hotchner was a whole different person. A version of himself he hoped he’d never have to be again but there he was, being suffocated by rage and guilt, even when he knew there was nothing he could’ve done to avoid what’d happened. He just wished there was a way to turn back time and trade places.
Tumblr media
Everyone had a week off to mourn your loss after the interrogation. Not enough – no time would ever be enough – but work was work. Monsters were still killing people and the Bureau had already hung a picture of you on the wall of honor.
“I can’t believe she’s gone,” Penelope was the first one to say something.
The team was gathered in front of your image; your smile was contagious even through a photo.
“I know.” Morgan touched her shoulder with his and kissed her temple. “It’s gonna be hard living in a world without her.”
“I’m not ready.” Garcia wiped her tears and turned to face everyone. “I’m not ready to take down monsters without her.”
JJ smiled in an attempt to say something, but her voice wouldn’t come out. It could’ve been her picture on that wall, but you’d offered to talk to the unsub that night as if it was the most mundane thing. She wouldn’t even dare to look at Aaron afraid she’d crumble and say I’m sorry a thousand times.
Hotch blinked away his tears and clenched his jaw, staring at your picture. He wasn’t ready to keep living without you, yet he said, “We have to. She would want us to,” trying to convince himself in a way. He walked away to lock himself up in his office and stopped by your desk on his way there.
It was intact and your presence lingered as if you’d just gotten up to refill your mug with coffee. Your chair still had the wrinkled pillow you’d brought on your second day because you couldn’t handle sitting there with a numb butt, and the small heater you used to keep your feet warm was still plugged under the desk.
You always said it was important to decorate your workspace like it was a piece of your bedroom. It helped you perform better, you’d say, and had convinced everyone to follow that advice – even Hotch.
“Excuse me.” A janitor approached Hotch and placed an empty box on your desk.
“What are you doing?” Aaron used his arm as a barrier to stop the man from picking up your stuff.
       “Clearing up this desk.”
“Hey!” The click-clack of Penelope’s high heels came running from behind. “Don’t touch her stuff!”
“We need the space,” the janitor said.
“No, we don’t.” Hotch returned the box to him. “As far as I know we haven’t hired any new agent.”
“Look, I’m just doing what I was told.”
“Leave it as it is.” Hotch glared at him. “I’m gonna talk to whoever told you we needed the space.”
“It must have been Strauss.” Derek’s jaw clenched.
“How can she be so cold,” Penelope stared at Hotch walking across to room.
It was known that Strauss didn’t like you, so Hotch hurried into his office to just toss his briefcase and go confront Erin, but the moment he stepped in, his body stiffened.
The room was cold, and the silhouette he caught from the corner of his eye, sitting on his couch, made his heart drop to his stomach.
       “Hey, boss.”
That was your voice, and your scent was in the air all of a sudden.
He shut his eyes, taking a deep breath. This wasn’t happening. The lack of sleep was too much. It was definitely that.
But when he turned the lights on and you were still there, it didn’t seem like craziness.
“What? Did you see a ghost or something?”
       That was definitely you.
“Shut the door,” you continued, “it’s getting cold in here.”
Still in disbelief, he obeyed but couldn’t dare to look straight at you. Your presence was strong and he was sure it was his brain playing tricks on him because it’d happened before. A long time ago when his father died. He’d see the man at school, though he was never brave enough to reach out and actually exchange words with him like you were doing right now. He wished it would’ve happened with Haley so he could have heard her voice and held her hand one last time, but she never showed up.
Part of him had hoped it’d happen with you too at some point. And there you were.
He made his way to his chair and just stood there for a second before sitting. Then he finally dared to look at you.
       God, that was actually you.
You were wearing the exact same clothes you had on the day you died — a purple T-shirt and the cargo pants you borrowed from Emily once but never returned — just not stained with blood and not a single wrinkle in sight. You hated ironing your clothes.
“Have you missed me?” You folded your arms over your chest and walked across the room, sitting on the chair in front of him.
       “Yes.”
“I know, that’s why I’m here. I know you’re not ready for me to leave you.”
The softness of your voice reached his soul, and a knot started to appear in his throat. “I didn’t get to tell you that I loved you.” His voice shook.
“Well, you weren’t very subtle about it.” You rose from the chair and walked to the other side of the desk, leaning on it right next to him, and reached for his hand.
You were warm. He looked up at you and caught the comfort of your eyes. If you weren’t real, why did looking into your eyes still give him butterflies?
“This isn’t real,” he whispered to himself, closing his eyes. “I’m going crazy.”
“Now that would be romantic.” There was a twitch of a smile on his lips at your playful tone. You always managed to make him smile in one way or another. “Would a kiss make you feel better?”
He’d kissed you only once – the night before you died – so he knew how soft and sweet your lips were. He looked up at you and right when he was going to say yes, you leaned down and kissed his lips.
This kiss was different, though. It was painful because he was sure you were part of his imagination. He tried to put those feelings aside – take his insanity as a blessing in disguise – and lifted his hand to cup your face, but a single knock on his door seemed to scare you, and before it swung open, you vanished into thin air.
“Aaron.” Strauss stormed in. “Is there a reason why you’re refusing to clear her desk?”
He rubbed his hand over his mouth and tried to compose himself. “I need to talk to her family first. See who will take care of her things. Out of respect.” He stressed the last word to show how out of line her behaviour was.
Erin widened her eye, as a threat, almost. “You have one day.” Erin glared at him and left the room.
       Hotch sighed deeply.
It was the faintest kiss, but it was you.
Tumblr media
Most nights at the BAU were lonely; since you were gone, that solitude pierced bones. It’d been four months already and it was still unreal to the team.
       Especially to Spencer.
He used to pull all-nighters with you by his side, and while he played chess on his own, you finished the paperwork you left until the last minute. He still stayed until late these days, just not as often nor until the sun rose.
You missed him too, and now, all you could do was mess with him hoping he’d at least feel the ghost of you.
“Uh.” Spencer quickly snapped his hand off the chess board when a piece slowly moved on its own.
He rubbed his eyes and stared at the board again. And you moved a piece, again.
       “What the– not again?”
“You okay?” Hotch’s voice came loud and out of nowhere, making Spencer jump on his seat. His heart almost leaped out of his chest; he had to make sure it was still there, placing his hand over it.
“Did– did you see that?” Reid’s voice got a bit higher than it normally was.
“See what?” Aaron walked up to him with a subtle smirk.
“Nothing.” Spencer frowned. “What are you doing here anyway? It’s almost four AM.” He glanced at his watch.
“I could ask you the same thing.”
       Spencer frowned his lips.
“We may have a case,” Hotch continued. “So don’t leave.”
“Wasn’t planning to,” Spencer lowered his voice, looking around.
Hotch gave you a quick glance ordering you to follow him on his way to his office.
“Haunting Reid isn’t very nice,” he told you as soon as he shut the door behind you.
“I was bored.” You put on an innocent face and gave him a guilty smile. “Waiting for you. And he needs to stop staying here until so late, so I was doing him a favor.” You sat on his desk and swung your feet back and forth as he settled on his chair. “You’re here earlier than our usual time.”
“We may have a case.” He looked up at you.
“It’s Jack’s birthday next week.” You mentioned. “Are we gonna do something special for him?”
“Jessica and I are taking him to this star wars convention.”
“That sounds fun. Can I go?”
You went wherever he went, even flew with him for cases, but you still asked for his permission. You were a distraction, so you tried to stay on the margins when you knew he needed all of his focus.
That’s why you enjoyed plane rides the most.
Everyone still sat on their usual seat on the jet, and your spot next to Hotch remained empty so you still sat there, quiet.
“You’ve been seeing her,” Rossi said as he sat on the seat across from Aaron.
“Sorry?” Hotch lifted his eyes from his folder.
“It happened to me when Carolyn died. I’d see her around, even talk to her at times. I was worried it might have been an illness or something.” He waved his hand in the hair. “It wasn’t. I can give you the name of my doctor.”
He didn’t admit it but didn’t deny it either.
The jet took off and Rossi didn’t mention it again until they landed.
“Are you thinking about going to the doctor?” You asked him when no one was around.
“I love having you around.” He stared into the void. ”But this isn’t normal.”
That hurt a bit, but you still stayed by his side during the entire case and were there for his doctor’s appointment as soon as you made it back in Quantico, too.
“You’re grieving, agent,” the doctor started. “It is a rare way of grieving but it happens. I can medicate you to help get rid of it, but you also need to work on it.”
Whatever that meant, Aaron wasn’t ready. He didn’t want to get rid of you, but something scared you that day and you stopped being around as often. You weren’t at the BAU and the usual time to spend some time alone with him, and you weren’t there for Jack’s birthday as you’d said you wanted to.
Not as your usual self, anyway.
They’d just gotten back from the Star Wars convention and something was slightly off about his apartment.
“No way!” Jack screeched with excitement. There was a dog on the couch. “ You got me a puppy?!” He ran to the little dog who waved its tail with the same enthusiasm.
“You got him a puppy?” Jess subtly asked Hotch
       “No? Did you?”
Neither said a thing and stared at the wholesome sight of happy Jack.
Hotch wasn’t sure to what extent the “anything is possible” was possible for those who belonged to the hereafter, but something told him the puppy was your magic work.
“My cheeks hurt from smiling so much!” Jack laughed as the puppy licked his face. “Can I name her?”
How could Aaron say no to that? He didn’t want to crush his son’s dream and tell him the dog wasn’t supposed to be there, so they did a quick run to the store to buy some dog food and helped Jack build a tiny bed for her in his bedroom instead.
“Can she stay forever?” Jack asked. He’d already mastered the puppy-dog eyes.
“We’ll see.” Hotch tucked him in and kissed his forehead. “Goodnight, buddy.”
He gave the puppy one last scratch on its chin and went to bed too, though it already seemed like it was going to be one of those nights where the sleep never came.
The bed sank next to him at two AM, making him lose track of how many sheep he was counting. There you were with a sad look.
“Where have you been?” He asked you in a murmur.
“I don’t want you to think I’m here because there’s something wrong with you.” You whispered.
       “I don’t.”
“Then why did you go to the doctor?”
“To rule it out.” He caressed your cheek.  “But you’re clearly not part of my imagination. You’re here.”
“Something’s holding me back.” You gulped. “I need you to help me get to the other side. I need to know you’re going to be okay without me.”
Only then he noticed you didn’t want to be there, to begin with.
“I’m sorry we won’t be growing old together,” you continued. “That we won’t give Jack any siblings and Jess more nephews, but I will always be by your side, taking care of you three. Always. And I’ll be waiting for you, Aaron. You were my greatest love, even when I won’t be yours, and I’m sorry. ”
“I’ll be okay.” He tried to swallow the lump on his throat and brought you close into a tight hug. “You go. I’m gonna be alright.”
       “Promise me.”
       “I promise.”
“I love you,” you sobbed into his chest.
“God, I love you, too. I always will.”
It was like the old times when a nightmare woke him up, but this time he was so damn scared  to fall asleep because he knew you weren’t going to be there when he woke up. So he cherished the moment and held you until you leaped into his dreams forever.
Tumblr media
You stopped showing up, but you weren’t gone. He’d get a whiff of you while he made himself some coffee, and would stop for a moment to close his eyes and take you in. He’d still feel your presence around, at the BAU, at your favorite donut shop, and in his car when a song you liked came on the radio.
You were everywhere. He still didn’t know how to move on, but knew he had to let it happen naturally.
Time went by; he started to forget the sound of your voice, the trees lost their leaves and grew new ones through the seasons. His heart healed eventually, too, and the love he once had for life sparked again.
“I’m not sure if we can keep here any longer,” Hotch said, staring at Chewie who had grown into her ears and started to make the apartment look small.
“What do you mean?” Jack asked, putting the harness on her and pulling her close to him.
“We may need a new house.” Aaron opened the front door for them, ready to take her on a walk. “But the park will have to do it for now. Let’s go.”
Those walks in the park became the best part of Aaron’s day. They kept his mind busy and they might have boosted a new chapter in his life…
“Ah! Look at them!” Haley clapped with excitement. Turns out you weren’t the only one looking after them. “Aren’t they cute.”
You stood next to her with your arms folded over your chest and admired how Chewie played cupid by stomping on this woman’s picnic.
“So sorry,” Aaron approached her while Jack tried to catch the leash.
“You are a beautiful girl,” the woman said, letting Chewie lick her face all over.
That was her, Aaron’s greatest love.
“Did you know I was gonna die?” you asked Haley.
“I did.” She turned to you. “But there was nothing I could’ve done. Life… it’s an odd thing. We don’t get to choose anything.” Haley stared at her husband and son again. “Everything is written already.”
“She won’t die tragically like we did, will she?” Haley twitched her mouth. “She will?!”
“I’m just kidding.” She dismissively waved a hand with a laugh and began to walk away. “You can stop worrying too much about him now! She’s got him!”
“Where are you going?!” You hurried behind her, throwing one last look over your shoulder. “Wait up!”

One of Bucky's favorite things about your home is the smell. It was in the heavenly scent of your cooking that filled the kitchen, the meals you poured your heart into to make sure he was well-fed. It was also in the fresh flowers you put on the table, the colors as vibrant and bright as your smile. Though nothing beat the distinct and wonderful smell of you.
His heart always beat a little faster when he nosed the column of your neck and caught a whiff of your sweet perfume. The way your scent lingered in the air when he had his fill of you nearly drove him out of his mind. He sometimes found himself inhaling your soap in the shower just for another reminder of you, even though you were usually only a few feet away. Needing you close was as natural to him as breathing.
So when you sat up early one morning before him and tried to slip out of bed, his hand shot out to stop you.
“Where the hell do you think you’re going?”
His voice came out lower and a bit more dangerous than he intended, a tone typically reserved for when you acted like a brat. It was no secret that he loved that side of you. He adored every layer of yourself you showed him, but you hadn't done a thing to earn the slight snarl from him. Which was why he couldn't help but sheepishly smile when you attempted to level him with an unimpressed stare, easily visible since he turned the nightstand lamp on.
"I was going to make you coffee and some breakfast. Thought you could use it before you started work," you said, your voice still rough from sleep and still beautiful as you jabbed a finger against his chest. "But if you're going to act ungrateful, I'll sleep in and you can take that favorite mug of yours and shove it right up your-"
"Easy, Sunbeam," he chuckled, brushing his lips against your forehead as an apology. "Not complaining and I didn't mean to sound ungrateful."
"Then why did you use that tone with me?" you asked, narrowing your eyes as you pulled away. "You wake up on the wrong side of the bed?"
He thought about it and nodded. "Guess you could say that. Only because you tried to get out of bed before me and you know I don't like waking up alone."
For reasons still unknown to him, you wanted him. You wanted to make a life with him. And since the first time he had you in his bed, he found that he couldn't sleep as easily unless you were there. The bed didn't feel as warm when he was alone. It was too big with just him in it. You fit right there beside him.
Your gaze softened as you laid back down and opened your arms for him to cuddle. He took the invitation without question, resting his head on your chest. He closed his eyes as he listened to the sound of your heart, the smell of your soap drifting to his nostrils. If he stayed too long he'd fall behind on his chores, but he wasn't ready to leave your embrace quite yet.
How can I go out and face the world when my world is right here?
"Can I tell you something?" you asked, carding your fingers through his hair as he moaned.
"Tell me," he whispered, enthralled by your touch.
"I don't like waking up alone either," you whispered back.
Bucky hummed sympathetically. With his work, he was usually up and out of bed before you. He hated disturbing your slumber, wanting you to get as much rest as possible. He always placed a kiss on your forehead and whispered how much he loved you before he went to it. You were the one who made the hard work worth it when some of the days felt too long.
"Maybe we should get out of bed at the same time then."
"Or not get out of bed at all," you teased.
Tilting his head up to look up at you, his stomach flipped when he caught your soft smile. It was enough to make his heart swell, like he was watching his own personal sunrise. He quickly grew accustomed to the warm glow in his chest whenever you were around. Did you have any idea how easy it was for him to fall head over heels in love with you?
"What's that look for?"
"No reason. Just love you," he said, his voice thick as he brought a hand to your cheek, which you instantly leaned into. "I know I say that a lot, but I don't want you to forget it."
While Bucky would never be able to give you a mansion or gold, he had the heart of a rich man. He could provide a loving home built with trust and care. His calloused hands would forever trace and hold you with love, protection, and care.
I'm the richest man alive because I have you.
"I love you, too, Buckaroo. I won't forget," you promised, urging him to sit up before your mouth met his, uncaring of morning breath or anything else. "Now, may I please go make your coffee and some breakfast? It's getting late and I won't be to blame for you falling behind."
"Hey, you're the one who opened your arms for me to cuddle again and suggested that we don't get out of bed," he pointed out, smirking when he trailed his fingers down your torso. "But you have a hearty breakfast for me right here that you don't have to cook. Just spread those legs and I can eat just fine. Let me get my slice of heaven before I get to work. Don't I deserve that?"
"It's not a hearty breakfast," you smiled, biting your lip when his hand slipped under the blanket. He wasn't playing fair, but if it kept you beside him a bit longer, he'd play dirty. "And it isn't heaven."
"Yeah, it is. Tastes like heaven. Feels like it. Hell, it even smells like it," he husked, feeling you shiver when he brought his mouth to your neck. "Made for me to worship, like every single inch of you."
"Better eat up then and don't you dare edge me," you said, tilting your head as he skimmed his teeth along your pulse. "Or I'll burn your eggs. So help me."
"I'll make it good for you," he promised, diving under the blankets as you laughed. "Oh, darlin', how can you ever deny that you hold the key to my personal heaven and sunrise?"
"Maybe because I think heaven is between your legs," you said, parting your thighs to make room for his massive shoulders, his nose brushing along your slit through your panties. The whimper you let out made him smirk. "It's also in your smile and the way you love me."
Bucky poked his head out from between the comforter to gaze at you. "I guess we can consider this heaven on earth then. Now let me eat before I get to work."
Heaven is where you are, Sunbeam. And I can't wait to make you my wife.

Hi!! I want to start of by saying that I love your writing!
So while watching twd I noticed that Daryl has more tattoos in the later seasons and can only guess that they’re stick-and-poke and that he did them himself. Do you think you could write a fic where the reader(f) is in a relationship with Daryl and asks him to give her a tattoo (which she has none of btw)? I was thinking like a little arrow or something because she “wants to have something of him even when they’re apart”? And make it super fluffy and stuff?
Marked
18+ MDNI || Warnings: Needles, profanity, mostly just fluffy nice cool Daryl
Note: I am not encouraging you to give anyone or receive an at home tattoo via sewing needle or tattoo gun, but I have received my fair share of both and the descriptions in this story are just based off my vague memory of how it was done for me! It is definitely not a tattoo guide.
edited to add: tysm for the compliment ilysm <3

"Did you always have that tattoo?" You wondered, tracing over the dark marking on his arm. The two of you were on one of your regular afternoon strolls through the woods when you decided to lay against a log and chat. The sunbeams filtered through the canopy above and littered little golden rays over his arms, highlighting the light hairs and texture of his skin. These moments were your favorite. Peaceful bliss in the natural world.
        Daryl shook his head.
"Nah. Did it awhile back." He said.
        "How?"
"Never had a stick-n-poke?" He asked.
"Never had a tattoo, period. Let alone a prickle-poke." You shrugged.
"It's stick-n-poke." He snickered silently. You glared.
"Whatever. Can you give me one?" You asked.
        "A tattoo?"
"Yeah. The stick-n-prickle kind." You joked.
"Alright." He nodded. "Gotta get some supplies together for it."
----
You watched as he carefully burned the little sewing needle and wrapped it in thread.
        "Why thread?" You asked.
"Kinda helps hold the ink but mostly jus' for grip." He explained.
He set up a tiny container on the side table of your bed with black liquid.
        "Is that ink?" You asked.
        "Mm-hmm." He nodded.
        "You made it?"
        "Uh-huh."
        "How?"
"Soot. Alcohol. Water." He shrugged. "Ain't hard."
"Cool." You whispered, fascinated by his expertise.
        "Wha'd'ya want?"
"I was thinking about an arrow." You said. "A small one. Real simple." He raised an eyebrow. "For you, dummy."
"I got that but.. Why?" He tilted his head a little.
"'Cause. I wanna have something for you... Always. Even when we're apart." You said with a soft smile. He hid his face bashfully, not wanting to expose the little blush that was creeping over his features. Instead, he pretended to adjust the thread around the needle.
"Where ya want it?" He asked when his flushed cheeks returned to their normal sunkissed glow.
"Right here." You pointed to your ring finger, right where a ring would go.
        "Ya sure?"
"Mm-hmm." You nodded surely. He wiped some alcohol over that spot to disinfect it.
"Alright." He said. He delicately grabbed your finger and held it in place. "Y'ready?"
"I've had worse than a little pin prick." You giggled. "I'm ready."
Without another word, he got to work carefully poking the needle through your skin, freehanding a perfect line. You watched in awe, studying his look of concentration, the way he tilted his head to see though his hair, holding your finger up close to his face to make sure every detail was perfect. It only took about twenty minutes. You looked it over when he finished, holding your hand up the way someone does when they're admiring their engagement ring.
"Wow." You grinned. "How did you make such a perfect line?"
        "Ain't perfect." He shrugged.
"It is! I love it." You insisted. A half smile curled at the corner of his lips.
"'M glad, 'cause it don't wash off." He joked. You rolled your eyes.
"This is no laughing matter, Daryl. You just proposed to me, ya know." You said in mock seriousness.
"What?" His eyes widened. Even under the tan skin, his face still drained of color.
"Yeah," you pressed on. "This is my ring finger. Like, the ring finger. And you permanently marked it with something symbolic to yourself." You gloated.
He blinked. He couldn't tell if you were joking or not.
"Anyways, I'm gonna go talk to Carol about planning the wedding. I bet Rosita and Tara would be beautiful bridesmaids." You rambled. "Oh, and instead of cake, everyone gets a glass of moonshine!"
        "I don' think.."
"I'm kidding, genius." You rolled your eyes. He relaxed a little. "Thanks though. I love it."
He cleared his throat and stood up, cleaning his workspace so not to clutter your bedroom.
"Oh, by the way.. This is the ring finger." You smirked. He stared at you for a moment before shaking his head.
"Don't go showin' the whole damn world and tellin' 'em we're married." He grumbled.
"Would that be so bad?" You pouted. He smirked and planted a kiss on your forehead.
"Nah. But I ain't proposin' with no damn stick-n-poke. Gon' find ya somethin' better than that."
Your face lit up, practically brightening the entire room.
"You're gonna propose?!" You bounced with joy.
        "Wha-- I didn't--"
"Oh, my god! I have to tell Carol!!" You squealed as you darted out of the room. He stood there expressionless, processing what he had just done.
"Shit." He mumbled. It wasn't that he wouldn't propose one of these days. He'd love to call you his forever. Otherwise, he never would have marked you with something that represented him in the first place. It was just.. That it would draw so much attention to him. He sighed. He guessed he walked right into that one.
---
"When did you do this?" You asked him, holding up his ring finger that was now decorated with a little cloud shape.
        "Yesterday." He shrugged.
"Is that a cloud?" You eyed it closer.
        "Mm-hmm."
        "For what?"
"Dunno. Ya always stare up at the clouds when we take long drives." He explained. "Now we're both marked."

Bee's fic inspired me to finally get this one out of the drafts😵‍💫
On a day of freedom, Leon takes you to a donut shop, one that has your missing posters.
CW Yan!Leon, Smut, PinV, kidnapping, non/dub-con, Leon being a dick.
Two months of monotonous hell and not a chance of escape.
Waking up, the sun began filtering through the blinds, painting the room a soft, orange hue.
Carefully steadying your breath, you lift your head off Leon's chest to glance at the clock.
Too early, don't wake him up.
You slowly lay back down, gazing at him. His features were so peaceful in the golden morning light, highlighted by sunbeams that danced through the window and made him look almost angelic. A small smile touched your lips as you let yourself imagine a different possibility that was much sweeter than this one.
If only you had met him normally. If only he had just asked you out on a small coffee date, you would have said yes in a heartbeat; he was everything you were looking for.
Your body tenses as his hand rubs your back, pulling you out of your musings.
So close
"Good morning" his sleepy voice croaked.
"Good morning; how'd you sleep?"
"The best in a while, thanks to you."
His hand continues to leave feather-light touches; as much as you want to hate him for what he's done to you, a part of you is drawn to him. Maybe it's his charm because he made sure he's the only person you have left, and you craved interaction.
He pulls you in for a kiss; His lips are soft and warm.
You know that you have to play along in order to survive. You wrap your arms around his neck, and he deepens the kiss you can taste last night's alcohol on his breath but ignore it. It's better to pretend that you're enjoying this, better to keep up the façade that you're falling for him.
Gently rolling into the soft mattress, you pull him over you; he stares into your eyes, laced with slight confusion, waiting for the resistance he was sure to come like it always did; when it didn't, a small smile creeps across his face.
Cupping his face, you pull him in for another kiss, heart pounding in your chest as his hands move to your hips; he deepens the embrace, the warmth of his breath sending shivers down your spine as your fingers entwined in his hair.
You lean into his touch as his fingers glide to your thighs with an electrifying tenderness, teasing you with the barest graze.
He runs a finger along your slit, drinking in the quiet moan that leaves you as he dips into your already soaked slit, your hips rolling into his hand.
"Please..."
"Shh...Be a good girl and take this for me."
He pumps another finger inside you, curling it rhythmically. His thumb rubs circles against your clit.
You throw your head back, pushing over the edge, bucking against his hand. He works you through your orgasm, slowing the pace of his fingers, bringing you down gently.
Groaning at the divine sight of your head pushed into the pillows, mouth opening in a silent cry, he pulls his fingers free before shoving them into your mouth.
"Suck."
You hazily comply, closing your lips around his digits and swirling your tongue over them sloppily. His breath shudders, cock twitching against you as his fingers thrust between your lips, fucking them into your mouth.
He pulls them free, pulling your lip down as he grins. "Good girl."
You whimper as his fingers knead your thighs again, parting them wide before settling himself in between them.
His cock slips up against your dripping cunt, slicking along your folds. His hand settles on your hip, pressing down firmly as he guides himself inside you.
You whine, toes curling as he pushes in
His eyes focused on his cock disappearing into you again and again.
"Fuck- you feel so good"
His words are mumbled, his head coming down to rest on your shoulder as his hips thrust into you, moving your fingertips to slide over his shoulder and down his back, feeling his muscles tense as he moves.
His hips snap forward, your lips parting in a breathy moan as his cock drags over your walls, and you clench around him.
"I'm not gonna last if you keep that up"
You feel his hand on your cheek, tilting your head to look up, sweat dripping from his temple. You kiss him softly and he groans, his thrusting picking up again.
"Gonna make me cum acting all sweet like that" nipping at your skin as he drives into you.
You wrap your legs around him, pulling him deeper as you grip the bedsheets beneath you. You can feel the tightening in your abdomen, your core clenching around him.
His cock twitches, dragging over you in thick, pulsing thrusts as his moans grow louder and louder in your ear.
His voice cracks as you feel his cock throb, a groan muffled into your skin as he pumps you full.
You tremble, arching your back as his fingers dig into the soft flesh of your hips, his mouth on your neck as his thrusts slow. His soft moans in your ear are muffled by his teeth scraping your skin.
"Fuck" his hips stop as he falls against you; you can feel the thud of his steady heartbeat against your chest.
You let out a shaky breath, letting yourself sink further into the pillows as your eyes close.
The room falls quiet, you both taking the time to catch your breaths. His head shifts, nuzzling to your shoulder before he lifts himself up onto his hands, kissing you softly as he pulls himself free from you. You shudder at the feeling.
"Come on, let's go shower," he murmurs, his voice low.
Letting him help you out of bed before he leads you into the bathroom, running the hot water before stepping in with you.
Pulling you close as the hot water pours down over both of you. You sink against him, leaning into his chest as his hands slide down your back to your hips.
"Isn't it much more enjoyable when you behave?" he teases, pressing a kiss to your temple.
Finishing the shower, you turn off the water and step out, handing him a towel as you do. He dries himself, then helps dry you, letting his hands wander over your body again.
"I have to go to work now, but I'll let you stay up here, alright?."
you nod
He waits a second, expecting you to continue talking. He's slightly annoyedby your lack of response
"I have a special plan for tonight as a reward." He pulls you in for a final hug; then he lets go.
You watch him get dressed, admiring how the suit hugs his form. You've seen him wear it a few times now, and it looks good on him. When he's finished, he looks over at you.
"Don't disappoint me."
You wave him goodbye as he leaves.
The thought of escaping crossed your mind, but you hardly think you could make it very far considering you had no idea where you were. so you tuck the idea away for now, not wanting to dwell on hopelessness of your situation on your free day.
You get dressed in one of the outfits he laid on the dresser for you.
The day was long, so you do the next best thing and explore.
You sit on the couch, flipping through channel after channel, not finding anything you really want to watch, you make your way to the bedroom and start looking through everything, theres bound to be something for you to do
you find books and magazines, but nothing worth wile.
You opt to just lay in bed, maybe he'll bring you something to do next time if you'd ask him nicely.
You wake up to light pushing on your shoulder, in your groggy state you slap it away alot harder than you intended to
"That wasn't very nice of you."
his dark voice ripped you from your sleep, shooting up, you apologize profusely not wanting to end up on his bad side when you did so well all day.
"Fix yourself up and meet me at the door."
His was being short, which meant he wasn't happy. the nasty feeling of dread sinks in the pit of your stomach and stays there like a stone.
The car ride was awkward, the silence hung heavy and it wasn't going to be you that brakes it, the running air conditioning being the only grace.
He takes you to a small donut shop you've never heard of; he ushers you to a small booth in the corner.
Shuffling into the seat facing the wall, you glance around; it is cozy.
Without giving you much time to adjust, he pushes the newspaper towards you, his expression unchanging.
"Look under there."
Furrowing your brows, you pull the newspaper to the side
It takes you a second to process what you're looking at.
You stand transfixed on the poster, eyes widening as you absorb its vivid red and black colour
you know the face is supposed to be you, but the person that stares back looks nothing like what stands in front of the mirror anymore; it's a haunting reminder of the life taken from you, a life he took in a matter of seconds.
The rage boiling within your veins sears your skin from the inside out.
No wonder he let you come with him today; he wanted you to realize just how unrecognizable you had become. The fight was over.
Your eyes sting with tears; you don't even care enough to try and wipe them away, the tear splashing onto the paper, seeping into it so the ink bleeds slightly when you run your thumb over your printed-out face.
"Be good" his voice heavy with expectation
It wasn't a choice; it was a demand.
He expected obedience: not an answer or a sound out of you.
Sliding out of the booth, he makes his way to the counter.
Clutching the poster to your chest, you slump into yourself; the once spacious room feels like it's suffocating you. You take a deep breath, just wishing there was some way you could wake up from this nightmare.
Pushing the poster back under the paper and shoving it as far away from you as possible, you can't stand to look at it anymore.
"That bad, huh?"
his voice breaks through your misery, along with the clanging of the tray on the table and clinking of the glass as he sets yours in front of you
Looking at the tray, a donut. You haven't had sweets in a while, so you should be excited, especially since he kept you on the bare minimum to keep you complacent.
Grabbing one of the donuts, he takes a bite before speaking, pulling the poster back into your view and taunting you.
"It's so sad, isn't it? A poor helpless girl, just up and gone with no one to find her" his faux 'concern' dripped with sarcasm
"I wonder what happened to her. Cut up on the side of the road, perhaps? Or maybe floating down some river with weights attached to her ankles."
He took a sip of his drink with an overtly faked smile
He kept going
"Or maybe, she just ran away to live a happy life with her loving husband, so he can protect her from all the dangers in the world; I like that option much more. Now eat your donut."
Staring at him unblinking as he shoved the donut closer to you,
you felt a deep sense of disgust for the man sitting across from you.
"Eat, or we're cutting our little date short."
You know that disobedience never ends well. So you reluctantly take a bite of the donut; normally, it would be a welcome taste, but this time it makes your stomach churn, the sweetness of the pastry contrasts heavily with the bitterness of your thoughts
can you live a life where you are constantly under the control of a monster?
You take a deep breath, trying to push away these negative thoughts.
Finishing the donut, you put the plate back on the tray; he finishes the last of his coffee and places the cup down.
"It's time to go now."
You trailed behind him like the loyal pet he had trained to listen and respond. You wished you could defy him, but you knew that any resistance would only lead to more hurt and after today, there's no fight left in you, nothing but a gnawing emptiness of a life you can never live.

Your Love is Sunlight- Unrequited Love Pt.3
Whoops. Part 3 to Requited Love but could also be read as a stand-alone (I think I gave enough context to do that). This will be the last linear fic for this little series. But there will be more from this OC.
Let me know if you want to be added to the on-going taglist for this OC
Eris x Day Court! OC (Sunbeam)
Warnings: Suggestive language, heavy kissing. One singular dialogue line with misogyny. Eating (as always let me know if I'm missing anything)
Also I’m heavily messing around with canon/ lore for mating bonds here.

The request came not even a week later. A week that I could not get the red head out of my thoughts. Eris was a perfect gentleman that night, only lightly chucking as he held my hips away from his after our heated kiss.  We danced the rest of the night away until my shoes had worn painful blisters into my heel. And I would do it a million times over if I got to see that look in his eyes
Eris looked at me like he actually saw me. Like a was someone worth looking at. Not a second option. No, he looked at me the way no one ever had before and I was drunk off of it. The fire in his eyes was enough to make me want to sink to my knees right then and there. I had told him that much that night.
But instead, he went back to his court. The very court whose seal is on the envelope in my hands. The paper so dark red it was almost black. I opened it with shaky hands and scanned over the words, over and over. Written in loopy, beautiful cursive. The note was short and sweet
Sunbeam, it would be my honor to show you around the Autumn court. You’d be my personal guest.
I will be waiting for your reply.
Yours,
Eris
One little word made my heart skip a beat. YOURS. Something deep in my chest purred at the idea but I brushed it off to the side. Flirting is one thing but the idea of Eris ever truly wanting something like that with me seemed too good to be true. So I wrote back my enthusiastic yes and in a puff of smoke that left the room smelling faintly of cinnamon, the letter was gone. Returned back to the male that had written it.
I had never been to the Autumn Court before. My eyes tried to adjust to the beautiful reds, greens and yellows in hues I’d never seen outside of paintings. The cool breeze that seemed to whisper in my ear as it brushed past. Everything seemed alive as I heard the scurrying of animals on the leaf covered ground. When the air rose a few degrees, you already knew who was walking up to me. I greeted Eris with a tight hug. He was dressed in a handsome emerald green button down with gray slacks. His hair tied up out of his face unlike the other night at the ball. Those same golden rings littered his fingers. I blushed as I realized my eyes had been raking over him. If he had noticed, he didn’t say anything. Suddenly not knowing what to do with myself, I gave him an overdramatic curtsey raising my voice to stuff almost regal pitch.
“High Lord.” He quickly recovered from the confusion that washed over him. He smiled, catching on, before he bowed low
“Allow me the honor of showing you around.” He said as he extended an arm to me. His voice dripped with that same faux stuffiness. The two of you looked at each other, holding back laughter. I broke first. My laughter rang through the large forest at my back. His head was thrown back, blinding white teeth flashing. Once we had recovered, he held out his arm again. Voice back to normal. “I would still like to show you around.” I took his arm and the two of us walked around the manor that seemed to rise out of the forest.
AS he showed me around, he told me of the renovations that had recently taken place, pointed out the things that he still planned to change. The inside was just as breathtaking as the woods around the house. Rich colors and soft, plush fabrics filled the space with an unmistakable warmth. One that Eris had painstakingly tried to create.
“And this will be your room for your stay. I already had your things brought up and I had Tessa and Clover, two of my mothers maids, pick out some warmer clothes for you.” He gestured to the large armoire in the corner of the room. “If you need anything else please don’t hesitate to tell them or myself.” Thanks rushed out of my mouth as I gaped at the room.
My  room at the day court had floor to ceiling windows that allowed for sun to streak through at all waking hours, marble and gold littered every surface possible. This room was cozy enough that I instantly felt my eyes get heavy. Dark wood paneling ran across the walls. Heavy curtains over the windows that had been pinned back displayed the colorful trees. And the bed.the bed. It was covered with the softest, plushest blankets I had ever seen. Pillows covered over half the bed and it made me want to do nothing but burrow into them and never leave that bed. My feet drifted on their own accord over to the bed, I reached out a hand and almost sighed at the feeling of the fabric against my fingers. Just as soft as they looked.
Eris’ content laugh pulled me out of my trance. I turned around to face him, he stood in the doorway still. “I’ll let you get settled. I can show you around more later today before dinner? If you want.” My heart fluttered at the idea, the thought of his court seeing us together. Of course, it was probably just to make sure I didn’t get lost in the maze that was the manor. At least that’s what I told myself, but as he took one more glance at me before he walked out of the room, I wasn't sure how much I believed that.
Although I had bathed earlier that day, the deep tub in my bathroom all but called my name. I sniffed random bottles of oils and poured in spicy, warm smells. The oils seemed to curl in the air and beckon me to sink deeper into the water. Completely submerging my head until I needed to come up for air. I sat in the bath until my skin started to prune. Groaning, I pulled myself from the soothing water and dried off. Wrapping the towel around myself, I padded over to the closet and ran a hand over all the clothes Eris had given me. The closet was full of jewel tones and deep reds. Floor length dresses that were heavy enough to keep out the nip of the air at night but light enough to walk around in during the day. I picked an emerald long sleeve dress and blushed at the realization that Eris and I would be matching. Before I could lose my nerve, I pulled the dress over my shoulder. The front buttoned up all the way to the ground. The waist tucked in slightly flaring out around my hips. It felt amazing against my skin and fit like a glove.
A knock at the door pulled my eyes from my reflection in the mirror. My hair was still wet from the bath and small waves were starting to form at the ends. Eris opened the door and stilled as he took me in. I felt like I was a thousand feet under his heavy gaze. He looked down at his own shirt for a second before he looked at me again.
“Autumn court is a good look for you, Sunbeam.” My whole body flushed at the compliment and I hummed in agreement. A small yip from the hallway split my focus. A small furry face pushed through his legs, almost toppling the High Lord. “Azelia” he whistled, the hound stilled for a second before prancing over to me. She sniffed at my skirt before she sat at my feet, giving me her full attention. I reached down to pet her and she rolled over onto her back. I laughed at the twitch in her tail as I ran a hand over her stomach. Eris whistled one more time and she barked back before flipping back over and walked to sit at his feet in a similar manner. I giggled at the exhausted look he shot the dog. She only barked in her own form of laughter.
Eris and I walked along a river by the house. He helped me pick out the perfect stones for skipping across the water. Coming up behind me to make sure my arm had the perfect flick to make it sail over the surface. I wasn’t nearly as good as he was, even with his help. Something he pointed out with a smirk. I pushed him lightly and he clutched at his chest like I had mortally wounded him. Crouching down onto both knees. I walked closer to him.
“Oh please, Eris ge-” My words were replaced with a yelp as he wrapped his arms around my legs and pulled me over his shoulder. I could only laugh my head off as I pounded at his back. Demanding he put me down. When he did, I felt the tree against my back.
“Have I told you how beautiful you sound when you laugh?” I blushed and shook my head.
“It can’t be that special. No one has ever said that before.” He knew who I was speaking about and he pulled my chin up to look him in the eyes
“I wish I could offer the usual sentiment of killing the male that ever made you feel this way but that would complicate things as a high lord,” he winked at me. I felt my shoulders loosening at the humor in his voice. “But you say the word and I will.” He picked up a lock of my hair and twirled it around his finger. “You’re radiant and anyone who has ever made you feel otherwise is either blind or dumb or both.”
We had leaned in so close to one another that I could count the freckles on the bridge of his nose. Someday I hoped he would let me kiss each and every single one of them. My eyes flickered down to his lips and he was smirking as he followed my eye line.
“Is there something you want, Sunbeam?” The little shit. It’s like my words had evaporated completely. Brain went fuzzy as his smell wrapped around me. I could do nothing but whimper. He made no other remark, only used his hand already in my hair to grip the back of my head. He growled as he smashed his lips to mine. This was nothing like the kiss from the ball. That had been exploratory and warm. This was an all consuming inferno. Burning through every ounce of self doubt I harbored. Scorching through my veins until only Eris was left. His free hand wrapped around my waist and pressed me against every delicious inch of him. When I started undoing the buttons of his shirt, he still his lips. His hand went to rest over mine and I reluctantly pulled away from him. I tried not to show the hurt on my face. And he leaned in to whisper in my ear.
“The first time I'm inside of you will not be outside. Nor when we're rushed. I need time to make you scream my name. For all of Priyanth to hear that you’re mine.” Something more than hunger flashed in his eyes and I felt that look deep in me.
“Eris.” I gasped out. He brushed a soft hand down the side of my face.
“You can’t say my name like that sweetheart, not when I have to sit at dinner with the rest of my court in less than an hour.” I blushed at the meaning behind his words and tried, and failed, to not look down to the front of his pants. The evidence behind his words. My tongue ran across my lips at the sight. He groaned and stepped away from me.
“You are a bad influence. But I meant what I said.” He booped my nose with his pointer finger, “ Now please go get ready for dinner.” His hand lingered on my arm for a fraction longer before he reluctantly let go.
I got dressed in a daze. A wild blush would not leave my cheeks. Everytime I managed to push away my errant thoughts, more would seep back into my mind.
Before I knew it, I had changed into a new dress and was walking side by side with Eris down to the dining room. A few members of his court were already there, talking amongst themselves. They smiled up at him as we passed. As I sat down next to him they introduced themselves in kind tones. I nodded trying to keep up with their names and faces. More people started to come in and eventually all the places at the table were filled.
There was no big speech or ceremony to start dinner. Everyone ate at the pace that they wanted to and cups of wine were being poured and shared.
A deep voice of an older male pulled me from my conversation with the female,Fern I think was her name, next to me.
“I’m still trying to figure you out.” He stated plainly.
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, you hung around Rhysand and his cronies. Came crawling back to Day where Helion welcomed you with open arms,” I felt the room grow hotter. “So I’m simply wondering how to get you in my bed too.” One second the male had been sitting at the table and before I could even blink, he had been blasted across the room. He sat up, eyes unfocused as he put a hand to his head. All eyes turned from the male now lying on the floor to the High Lord who was picking at non-existent dirt under his nails.
“You will not speak to any female, especially guests, like that in this court. Ever. Again.” He hardly looked up at male before he evenly said, “You’re dismissed.” Two of the other members of the court scurried to his side and helped heave him to his feet. Quickly getting him out of the room.
“I’m sorry you all had to see that. There are many things I will tolerate but comments like that are not one of them.” Eris said to those remaining from his court. All of them nodded along, not fear but appreciation in their eyes. I felt my heart soften at his words. Beron would have let a comment like that slide, maybe even agreed with it. It would take a while, old habits run deep but Eris would squash that old cruelty out of the Autumn court piece by piece. The thin line of determination in his face told me that much. He turned his attention to me “Are you all right?” He quietly asked me. The sound of silverware clinking against plates and light conversations filled the silence from moments ago. I nodded.
“You didn’t have to do that, you know? It’s nothing I haven’t heard before.” His mouth set into an unamused look, anger pinching his eyebrows.
“Sunbeam, I will not allow anyone to talk to…” he took a breath, about to say something but seemingly changed his mind. “I would do it again.” I knew he was telling the truth and thanked him for his kind words.
The next few days passed too quickly. I spent the days in Eris’ presence, him waving me off when I apologized for keeping him from his duties. He assured me that making me feel as welcome as possible was a hundred percent part of his responsibilities. Both as a High Lord and a friend. Friend. I bristled at the word. Only a few more heated moments had passed throughout the days, and nothing like that night before dinner. I was wound tight and from the way his eyes kept flickering to my lips, I knew he was too. Everytime I would go to take things further, he would steal my hands or push away from me entirely. That same excuse said through gritted teeth. I didn't question it. If it happened it happened but being around him so much made it harder and harder to keep my thoughts at bay.
This was one of those moments. I was supposed to leave the next morning and my hands were currently wrapped in Eris’ hair. My back pressed firmly against the door of his room. He peppered my neck with small bites that had my blood singing for him. I didn’t reach for his shirt this time, despite the need rushing through me. I instead went to the buttons on the front of my dress. Eris all but growled, “Gods you’ll be the death of me.” He groaned into my neck. I used my grip in his hair to pull his face back to mine.
“Do you want me to?” I asked, suddenly feeling self conscious.
“I would want nothing more darling but if you do, you won’t leave my bed in the morning.” He went back to kissing my neck and as he found that sweet spot right below my ear, I let the argument die on my tongue. If this was all I got from him, I would gladly take it. Regardless of how much more I wanted.
I woke up in the morning with my lips still swollen from the rough kisses the night before. I didn’t need to look at my neck to know the angry red marks that would be faded by the time I left. I sighed at the thought and curled deeper to my blankets. Shutting out the thoughts of leaving and the heaviness that creeped into my bones.
Eris and I spent the day with his hounds. We walked around the forest, me chasing after them as he hung back, throwing sticks after them. We laughed until our lungs hurt and his pack walked between us with ease, slipping in and out between our legs like they had been doing it all their lives.
It was finally time for me to leave. Helion was about to come to winnow me back to the Day Court. My bags had already been sent back. And I felt the disappointment on my face as he gave me one short kiss goodbye. As he pulled away from me it felt like the ground was being pulled from under me.
“Eris.” I called to his retreating form. When his eyes met mine it was like the air had been knocked out of my lungs. It shouldn’t be possible. I felt tears well up in my eyes. This could not be happening again. I had lost this chance when my bond with Azriel had been severed. Or had I? No one had ever gone as far as I had before. I didn’t just reject the bond. Helion had pulled it from my body, completely erased it for the both of us. Did that mean I got another chance? A small voice in the back of my head remembered those dreaded words. Maybe the cauldron gets it wrong. Could this be the cauldron making it right? Looking into those amber eyes, it felt right. In fact, nothing had ever felt so right before in my life. It was never like this with Azriel. He never loved me, was never going to love me. But Eris. Eris, who was always kind to me. Eris, who always greeted me first when he visited my old court during Hlyberns reign. It all made sense now. Everything had played out for this exact moment. I took a sharp inhale as I reached out through the bond, expecting that all too familiar coldness I had been greeted with all those years ago.
Eris’ eyes snapped to mine as his body jolted. His mouth parted, words seeming to fail him. The other side of the bond was not in fact empty. But full of warmth and love. Love for me. We could do nothing but gape at each other as that thread, as golden as the leaves around us, grew thicker as it stretched between us.
Tears welled in my eyes at the feeling. So much comfort and love running down the bond it almost pulled me to my knees. We both stumbled forward until our arms were wrapped around each other.
“I was so worried you would never feel it.” Eris spoke into the crown of my head.
“When…”
“The moment I saw you at the ball. The first time I saw you after you cut your bond with him.” I squeezed him as tight as my arms would allow. “I didn’t know the depth of the magic Helion had used on you, I went to talk to him after to see if it was even possible and reading that book further, we realized it was.” I pulled back just enough to look him in the eyes. The sun reflecting off of them made them honey brown. He smiled at whatever emotion I accidentally sent down the bond.
“I’m happy it’s you Eris.” He looked shocked. “If I had to go through all of this for it to be you, then it was worth it. Every second of it.” Tears of his own trailed down his face and I placed my head against his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat.  “Don’t go. Stay here with me.” His voice reverberated deep in his chest. “You don’t have to make any decisions right now. But stay here, let me do this the right way. The way you deserved the first time.”  I could do nothing but blush and nod. My throat felt tight at all the feelings, mine and his. A breathtaking smile I had only seen him give me split across his face. My feet suddenly no longer on the ground as he picked me up. My skirt billowed out around me as he swung me lightly around, like he had on the dance floor that night. I squealed in delight and buried my face into his shoulder. Inhaling his deep earth and cinnamon scent and thanked the cauldron that it didn’t always get it right. The first time.

I See You
Tumblr media
summary: after a fight with his father about not keeping an eye on lo’ak after the situation outside the reef, Y/N finds him alone on the sand and decides to comfort him.
0.7k words
──── ⑅*❀*⑅ ────
Neteyam walked off in a hurry after his father told him to go. He wasn’t a babysitter so why was he treated like one? Must he keep an eye on Lo’ak 24/7 or can he go and enjoy being himself for just a moment. His pent up anger and frustration bubbled in his chest, making his breathing fast and his eyes prickle with tears. His feet hit the sand with fury as he stormed down the shoreline, his braid beads clicking together in an irregular pattern.
Finding an isolated piece of beach, he let his body flop onto the sand looking up at the evening sky. His breath trembled as he ran his hands over his face and let his eyes close as the small sand grains etched into his skin every time he inhaled.
You spotted him laying down on the sand. His limbs sprawled out against the ground as his braids laid around his head like sunbeams. You walked towards him noticing his fast breathing and trembling chin. Crouching beside him your hands slightly brushed against Neteyams thigh making him jolt in surprise. “Y/N do not frighten me like that.” Neteyam said with a sigh looking down at your hand so close to him.
“I apologise for my brother’s behaviour Neteyam, he was childish.” You knew Ao’nung was a bit of a nuisance, but you never thought he’d think of doing something so dangerous. Neteyam looked up at you with a pitiful smile as he put his hand on your thigh.
“It’s my fault I should’ve been there to stop Lo’ak. It’s my responsibility to look over my siblings. I am the eldest.” Neteyam’s voice was sorrow, he usually had a happy smile across it face but today it had vanished.
“No Neteyam, it is not your fault.” You looked into his eyes lovingly as you put your hand over the one on your thigh. “You are not his parent, you are his brother Neteyam.” Neteyam was shocked to hear this. Never in his life was he told against his responsibilities, yet it still felt like the burden was on his shoulders. What if Lo’ak was hurt or killed, he’d have never forgiven himself.
“I still should’ve been there Y/N, it is my duty. What if he was injured? I’d be to blame!” His voice was slightly raised but it was just the frustration being pent up in his chest banging on his ribs. “I just want to be able to relax Y/N, I feel as if I can’t. I’m watching them constantly.” He hung his head as he laid on your shoulder his forehead slightly sticky from the heat of the island sun. “I just want to be seen, I can’t keep being the one to see.” Neteyam mumbled quietly as his hand slightly squeezed your thigh.
You moved your hand off his and directed it to his cheek. Tilting his face upwards to look into his glossy eyes. He’d tried so hard to keep his tears at bay, but they were spilling down his cheeks. “Neteyam, I see you.” You said nervously looking at his widening eyes.
“Y/N... I see you.” He said looking back at you lovingly. You wiped the tears off his face with you thumb delicately. You smiled back at him moving towards his so your foreheads touched. His hand moved from your thigh to caress your cheek as he closed his eyes.
“Neteyam I can’t promise to take these responsibilities away, but I promise to help you with every single one of them. You are not alone as long as I breathe.” Your words make Neteyam’s chin tremble as he let out a soft sob. “Do not cry, I am here.” You continue to wipe his tears as he cried softly. You engulfed him into a warm embrace rocking him side to side as his arms wrapped around you tightly. He let his sobs die down while you embraced him. His breathing becoming regular and the banging in his chest was relieved as you slowly traced patterns on his back.
Looking up to you his eyes puffy, his hand rested on your cheek. “Thank you, Y/N, Thank you.”

Natasha hummed to herself as she shook the rain off her umbrella, grabbing the mail out of the box and taking one last look at the gray sky before walking into the brownstone.
“Baby?” She took off her coat and kicked off her pumps, unpinning her hair as she moved down the hall while Gus wound between her legs. “Peach, are you here?”
“I’m in the living room!” You beamed at her over the top of your book. “Is it still raining?”
“Yeah, it’s gloomy.” She scooped up the kitten and sank next to you on the couch, kissing your cheek before resting her head on your lap. “And work was long. How do you feel about ordering in?”
“I feel fantastic about it.” You ran your fingers through her hair while she pulled out her phone to order something. “I want pasta.”
“Pasta?” She kissed your fingers after you poked her nose affectionately. “We can do pasta. With garlic bread. Split a tiramisu?”
“Mmhm.”
These soft domestic moments were everything with Nat. It was like every moment the two of you spent together just being close made you fall in love with each other even more. Saturdays at the farmers market always left you smiling when she would buy you flowers and you would share fresh blueberry scones. Sunday mornings in bed together where you made her pancakes and the two of you ate in bed and did the crossword while the kitten napped in a sunbeam would set her heart fluttering. And every time it got rainy and gloomy outside when the two of you would just cuddle were perfect.
“Hey peach?” Nat beamed up at you when you peeked down at her, turning and wrapping her arms around you so she could nuzzle into your stomach. “I love you, baby girl.”
“I love you too, Nat.” You giggled when she kissed your tummy, trying not to squirm when she pinched your side and tickled you a little. “Hey!”
“Hey yourself, wait a minute.” She scoffed when she pulled the blanket aside and saw what you were wearing, sitting up and pulling you into her lap while you squealed. “This is my sweatshirt!”
“It’s so comfy!” You laughed when she growled playfully and bit your neck, wiggling in her arms and gasping when she gave you a hickey. “Natasha!”
“What? It’s not like you have to go to the office.” She kissed the mark before pulling the collar of her sweatshirt aside to make another on your collarbone. “Bucky and his beefcake say hi, by the way.”
“My boys! I do miss them.” You tried to stay focused when she started kneading your ass but it wasn’t working. “I am enjoying my life as a sugar baby though.”
“Of course you are.” Nat purred when she edged her fingers under the edge of her sweatshirt and found you were only wearing panties. “Don’t even have to wear your own clothes, get to cuddle the kitten all day, and your pretty little pussy gets all the attention it deserves.”
“Wait, let me mark my page!” You screamed and laughed when she flung you down on the couch and climbed on top of you, your face heating up while the kitten ran off after screaming at the two of you for disturbing him. “Sorry Gus!”
“Gus will be fine.” Natasha grinned as she straddled your hips, her pencil skirt rising up her thighs until you could see the tops of her stockings while she tapped her finger against her plump bottom lip. God, she was hot, you still couldn’t believe she was in love with you sometimes. “Now, the food isn’t going to be here for twenty minutes, should I suck on your tits the whole time or just until your little pussy is all hot and wet then eat you out until you scream for me?”
“Well, I’m already wet.” You bit your lip and arched your back so the sweatshirt started to ride up your tummy, gasping when she reached between the two of you to rub your pussy through your panties. “Feel?”
“Yeah, I feel.” She started petting you while she leaned down to kiss your neck, tutting when you started to take off her sweatshirt. “That stays on. You wear my clothes, you get fucked in my clothes, new rule.”
“Okay.” You whined when she continued rubbing your cunt as she kissed her way down your chest. “You realize that’s not going to discourage me though?”
“It’s not supposed to, hush.” Nat winked at you before pushing her head under the sweatshirt and kissing the undersides of your breasts. “So soft.”
Natasha had never thought of herself as a tits man, but something about yours drove her fucking crazy. Maybe it was the way your pretty nipples would pebble as soon as her breath fanned over them, or when you shivered while she ran her nose along their soft curves. But she was pretty sure it was just because they were yours, and that you were so damn responsive when she paid any attention to them at all. So she started covering your chest with kisses, humming against your skin when you squirmed and whined for her.
Your eyes fluttered closed when she pulled as much of your breast into her mouth as she could and sucked softly, moaning as her tongue swirled around your nipple. She kneaded your other breast with her hand, smiling around your soft flesh when you arched your back to get even closer to her. When she felt you start to vibrate she bared her teeth, biting your nipple gently until you squealed.
“Natasha…” You laughed when she just grunted before kissing her way to your other breast. “One track mind.”
“Yep.” You could practically hear her smirking, but then she sucked on your nipple and pressed her fingers against your swollen clit through your panties and all you could do was whimper.
The rain kept pattering against the window as she worked you over like only she could, adding to the pleasant haze you were in while you gasped and sighed underneath her. She was so warm, so gentle with you. Her fingers kept stroking your pussy while she nibbled on your breast, rubbing your sensitive button until she heard your breath catch. All it took was a little pinch and you came with a squeak, your panties getting even more sticky as you gushed your release.
“Such a messy baby.” Nat ran her nose down your soft stomach slowly, her head slipping out from under her sweatshirt so she could grin at you. “You’re lucky I like it when all my furniture smells like you.”
“Oh my god, perv.” You giggled when she nipped at your hip before rubbing her nose over the gusset of your panties. “You’re such a dirty old lady.”
“Watch your mouth or I’ll spank you instead of licking your pussy.” She buried her face in your cunt and moaned even as she pinched your thigh in warning.
“Oh nooooooooo…” You yelped when she pulled back and swatted your pussy over your panties. “How terrible for me.”
“Oh… shut up.” Nat rolled her eyes before going back to work, taking the crotch of your panties between her teeth and growling mischievously when she started to drag them down your legs.
“Nat!” She didn’t stop when the doorbell rang, just grumbling as she kept dragging your underwear off like she was a riled up frat boy. “That’s the food!”
“But I’ve already got a warm, delicious meal right here.” Nat huffed when you poured at her, sitting up with your panties still in her mouth and giving you a show of sucking your juices out of them before she tossed them aside. “But I know you want your pasta.”
“Thank you.” You tugged the sweatshirt down to cover your hips and covered yourself with the blanket, clapping excitedly when you smelled the bolognese. “You’re the best sugar mommy ever.”
“You’re such a tease.” She pulled you into her lap after handing you your container, kissing your temple when you bit into your garlic bread. “I do love spoiling you, though, sweet little peach. So eat your pasta, and I’ll let you eat all the tiramisu while I have you for dessert.”

sunlight - huening kai
Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary: a very sunny morning in bed with kai
pairing: gn reader x huening kai
genre: fluff and tiniest bit suggestive; 0.6k words
a/n: writing hyuka again because he’s on my mind 24/7 NINGDUNGIES I WILL SAVE US FROM THE FIC DRAUGHT also i mentioned pokemon again so think of this as a little continuation if you’d like!
you wince slightly and groan in your sleep as sunlight hits your eyes, and you try to find a comfortable position again. you and kai had stayed up until the early AM playing pokemon scarlet and violet together. you both were struggling with certain gym leaders and refused to sleep until they were finally defeated. you hear a small snort as what previously felt like the strongest sunbeam in the world suddenly disappeared. you peek one eye open and see kai’s large hand blocking the sunlight.
“hyuka?” you roll over to face him. even though the physical sunlight may have no longer blinded you, seeing kai’s sweet smile in the mornings always made you feel as if you were still bathing in it. “yes, cutie?” he asks while softly fixing your hair.
“you’re awake already? and you just had to let me sleep until-” you glance over your shoulder to read the clock on your nightstand.
8:30 AM
“oh, it’s still early..” you cover your face with the covers as kai lets out his famous laugh. “yah, you just woke up and you’re already ready to scold me?” you shake your head in denial and lightly slap his arm. “I thought it was the afternoon! you know we stayed up late last night...” kai leans over to plant soft kisses on your lips.
“exactly, so you should get some more rest.” he continues, “I should have never asked you to play with me! you’re more addicted than I am.” you ignore his teasing and lean back over to meet his lips. soon enough, he’s hovering over you as you two exchange sweet nothings through each kiss. your hand quickly finds his hair, and he lets out a quiet whimper as your fingers lightly scratch his scalp. you pull away and leave a soft kiss on the bump of his nose. “we both need some sleep, you know.” you remind him. he nods in understanding, despite a small part of him wanting to take things further, and goes back to spooning you.
“hey,” you begin. “were you just going to hold your hand up forever while I slept?” kai chuckles at this and shakes his head, even though you can’t see him. “honestly, I was waiting for you to fall asleep again so I could get up and close the curtain.” you nod.
“so,” you hesitate. “could you get up and close it now?”
silence.
“well, to be honest, I don’t really feel like it anymore…”
“babe!” you whine and lightly slap his arm once more. if any of the boys were to wake up, all they would hear is the sound of you and kai giggling obnoxiously. “i’m sorry, i’m sorry!” he apologizes while trying to catch his breath. this was always the highlight of both of your days: waking up together. even if you both had duties for the day, even if you were in a rush, even if you were only able to lie in bed for a mere two minutes. every second mattered. every glance, every giggle, every touch. and every day was another reminder that you wanted to do this for the rest of your lives.
eventually, your giggles die down, and the only sounds in the room are his soft breathing and fabric ruffling from him rubbing your tummy. “I love you so much.” you feel his breath on your neck. you roll over again to look at the angel you were able to call your boyfriend. “I love you too, hyuka.”
you end up hugging each other as you drift off to sleep. the sunlight was no longer blinding you, but snuggled in your arms instead.

Pleasant Interruptions
A/N: Hiii! This is my first smut fic and I decided to write a slightly niche category. As a big tiddy squishy woman, I can’t wait for people like me to have a fun fic to enjoy! Please let me know if you like it with some comments, and feel free to suggest new ideas as well! Thank you so so much to @non-binary-frogking , @tacobyell , and @zephyr-is-tired for helping me edit it means so much!
Larissa Weems x big tiddy squishy reader
Summary: Reader has some alone time after plans change and Larissa opens the door to an unexpected surprise.
Warnings: smut, dominant Larissa, submissive Reader, fingering, oral, sex toy, masturbation
Tumblr media
You previously emailed your coworkers and boss that you would be out of town from Friday afternoon until Sunday night, as you wanted some time to relax and maybe explore Jericho. You planned to stay at the small motel in town, but upon seeing storm clouds form while you taught classes, you sadly canceled your reservation. The final bell rang, signifying the end of your work day. You pack up your things and return to the staff dormitories. Similar to the student rooms, your door opened directly into the bedroom. The only differences are the living space and kitchenette, identical to a studio apartment, and the attached full bathroom.
Grading the last assignment your students turned in today, you stand and strip off your work clothes. Pants, a shirt, and undergarments plop into the hamper and you sink into the center of your bed. Fridays typically offer plenty of alone time, so you decide to indulge in something you’ve needed all week.
Reaching over and opening your bedside table drawer, you grab your rabbit vibrator. Once you are comfortable laying against the pillows with your legs spread and a blanket to cover your lap, you move the vibrator between your parted thighs.
Switching it on with the hold of a button, you graze the tip against your clit. With a jolt and hitch of your breath, images of a certain woman begin taking over.
-----
Larissa stands in front of her desk while picking up paperwork to drop by your room. She remembers the email detailing your absence on campus for the weekend, deciding on placing the papers personally in your room. She thinks back to when she ran out of coffee creamer, and you kindly offered her your own.
“Hi Larissa! Oh wow, you drink black coffee? I always have creamer handy in my fridge.”
Larissa looks up from the outdoor picnic table, a lovely fall day perfect for enjoying the quiet morning before classes. The slightly chilly air is opposed by sunbeams shining through gaps in the clouds.
“Good morning y/n, I seem to have run out of creamer so I resorted to foregoing it today. Maybe I will have to keep an extra just in case.”
She can’t help but smile at how you stand facing her, the sun hitting your hair and skin, causing a slight glow to your features. She is abruptly ripped from her trance by your voice.
“Oh don’t worry! I leave my room unlocked often since the staff wing is already behind lock and key. Feel free to stop by my room and help yourself to however much creamer you need!”
You secretly hope Larissa will come by and spend time with you. Deep within your heart, you long for the beautiful woman to see you as more than a coworker. Her sweet personality, gorgeous body, caring nature, and so much more leaves you completely and utterly infatuated with her. But she hadn’t a clue.
On the other hand, Larissa felt the same. She is your superior, but you treated each other respectfully and don’t see each other as worker and boss. You regard each other with equality and helpfulness, always doing favors for each other out of kindness. Like when you rushed to her office after lunch to bring her coffee she forgot in the break room. And when Larissa popped into your classroom to give you the freshly printed packets you left on her desk.
Larissa smiles at you gratefully, setting her cup on the table and beginning to rise from her seat.
“Thank you darling, that is quite sweet of you. I might have to take you up on that offer. I must be heading back to my office now but I will be sure to stop by in case I ever need to borrow some creamer. Have a lovely day y/n!”
“Since you will be out of town anyway, leaving the papers on your kitchen counter or living room table would be appropriate,” she muses.
Larissa’s signature heels clack against the floors, giving the woman even more height to her 6’3 figure. She enters the staff wing, walks down the long hallway past her room, and stops in front of your door. She notices your adorable name tag; a small flower is drawn on paper next to neat handwriting spelling out your name. Smiling to herself, Larissa turns the knob and pushes the door in. What she sees stuns her into a frozen state of shock.
There you are, lap covered in a plush blanket, thrusting away with something under it. Your head is lolled to the side, expression blissful with your eyes shut tight and mouth open. Larissa realizes that you are too lost in pleasure to notice her or hear her enter the room. Wet smacks of the vibrator echo throughout the air, your whimpers sending heat straight into Larissa’s face. Your breasts are slightly visible, the blanket hiding most of your skin from her view, but she can make out the stiff peaks of your nipples and the way they bounce mesmerizingly. Highly aroused, Larissa brings the papers to cover her mouth which is agape in awe. A throbbing is felt between her thighs and wetness begins to gather there.
The pace speeds up as your arm visibly quickens, and Larissa can tell you are close to orgasm. What she hears next causes her to lose all self-restraint.
“Fuck, Ris- Rissa I’m close-”
As you chase your high, you release stuttered gasps, pants, and whines. Larissa’s lust for you now outweighs all control. Any embarrassment she has from walking in on you masturbating is gone. Long, creamy thighs clench together to offer relief for her aching center. With a hushed voice, Larissa mutters to herself,
“Fuck.”
-----
Your eyes shoot open and your hand holds the power button for your toy to stop the vibrations immediately. Pulling the length out of you, your eyes catch the source of the voice you just heard.
Larissa. Of course, it has to be the one woman that you are secretly in love with. Remembering that you moaned out her name only seconds before, you panic. You cover your body with the blanket as fast as you can, hiding your breasts and naked body from her view. Tears threaten to fall upon your cheeks, the vulnerability of being caught in such a position making you feel ashamed and scared.
In an attempt to comfort yourself and apologize to the woman who just witnessed you pleasuring yourself, you quietly repeat, “I’m sorry,” over and over again.
“Hey darling, it’s okay. Look at me love, look at me.”
Your eyes find hers and that is when you notice her appearance. Her pupils are blown wide and her thighs are pushed together tightly as if soothing the ache between them. Red colors her cheeks and her chest heaves, trying to control her breathing.
“I thought you were out of town so I stopped by to drop off your papers. I had no idea you were here. I... I am pleased that you are, though.”
She sets the papers on your countertop and visibly takes a deep breath. Unbeknownst to you, she is gathering the courage to say what she is about to say.
“Please don’t cover yourself y/n- you are stunning. W-would you like me to help you? I know you probably weren’t expecting me to react this way, but I am flattered and absolutely dripping right now. Please- please let me help.”
Shock and relief fill you, along with excitement and happiness, knowing that the woman you wished to have a chance with is attracted to you. Still feeling vulnerable, all you do is flush and nod your consent at her offer.
Coming to the side of your bed, Larissa lowers herself down on your left. She lays on her side, propping herself up on an elbow and sees how shy you look.
“Darling, may I kiss you? You’re adorable like this. Look at those pink cheeks of yours! No need to be shy, you are safe with me. My sweet girl.”
You turn your body slightly, moving your face right before hers. Those bright red lips that you constantly dreamt of are now inches away from your own. Sky-blue eyes hold comfort and care, and your heart feels secure with trust.
“Please,” you plead.
She takes the hand that isn’t propping her up and delicately brings it to the back of your head, pushing your face to hers. Instant softness, warmth, and giddiness flood you. Her lips are pillowy and plump, heating your mouth against hers, and you whine faintly. A wide smile overtakes your face and she laughs melodiously when she feels it, pulling away to study your bashful expression with twinkling eyes. Suddenly, you see her focus on something else entirely. During the kiss, your blanket lowered to reveal the top of your breasts.
Larissa’s eyes darken with hunger. You start to get insecure since you have a larger chest than most, so your breasts are less perky or firm than smaller ones. Pulling the blanket to cover them in fear of Larissa not liking them, you pause with the blanket up to your collarbone when her hand covers yours, stopping you in your tracks.
“Now, y/n, why would you ever want to cover those? I promise you, there is no need to hide yourself from me. I have been attracted to every part of you for some time now darling, including your curves, and hoping you shared my interest in pursuing a relationship.”
Like a burst of hope and light, your heart speeds up at her admission, making your chest heat and confidence grow.
“I’m sorry Rissa, I am insecure about my body. All I ask is that you are reassuring and sweet with me so I can feel most comfortable. I trust you and you can pull the blanket down now. They might be bigger than you expected, I do my best to hide them away in my outfits.”
She brings her hand to your cheek and rubs her thumb over your skin, comforting you while giving you a tender look.
“I give you my word that I will go slow and show you how beautiful you are. My dove, how could I possibly dislike anything about you? My sweet girl, you just lay back and look pretty for me, alright sweetheart?”
With a quick nod to signify your consent, Larissa again places her hand on the blanket and lowers it.
Large, full breasts are revealed, making her mouth water and her heart race. Your nipples harden in the air and she stares at them, entranced. You have stretch marks on the upper sides and large areolas. They sag slightly from their weight, resting apart and looking soft like the perfect natural pillows.
“Oh my, look at these- I could worship them endlessly. So full and round- god, they’re huge!”
An instant blush takes over your face, neck, and upper chest. Larissa sees this and smirks knowingly, glad her praise made you feel reassured and flustered.
“Really? They aren’t… too big?”
Back is the soft gaze from the woman above you, although her dilated pupils betray her otherwise adoring demeanor. She waits patiently, ready to answer your insecurities with reassurance and honesty.
“My dear, there is no such thing as ‘too big’ and they are perfect. I’m practically drooling at the sight of them. You must know that although you try to cover them, I’ve found myself staring at your cleavage often while you aren’t looking. And now, finally seeing them is making me insanely aroused.”
You feel something unfamiliar, a hint of acceptance in yourself, but mostly pride at making Larissa feel so needy at just the sight of you. Puppy eyes filled with love stare at her stunning face. She notices, and with a grin, places a loving kiss on your lips.
“May I touch them, love?”
“Yes, please,” you whisper.
She turns her head downwards and gently cups your left breast, squeezing softly. Her eyes never leave your chest, almost glued to it, not wanting to miss a second. She lowers her head to your nipple and places light kisses on it, coaxing the bud to harden completely under her lips. Her hand drifts to your right breast and pinches your other nipple faintly, now both sensitive and standing at attention.
Peering at your face while teasing you with her lips, she sees how content you are with the attention you’re receiving, yet restless, wanting more. You look back and beg shamelessly, thankful that she is giving you the touch you’ve desired for so long.
“Please, use your mouth… need you-”
Larissa wouldn’t dare deprive you of what you deserve, nor would she want to tease you when she promised to be gentle, so she reaches her tongue out and kitten-licks your bud. She repeats the motion, drawing the faintest moans from you while your body squirms from the sensation. Your nerves enter a frenzy while warmth shoots down to your core, making your clit throb intensely. She takes your nipple into her mouth and sucks while rolling on the right one between her fingers. Back arching and moaning desperately, you become louder and push your breasts further into her touch. Now, she moves to the other nipple and before latching on, says breathlessly,
“You have the most beautiful breasts I have ever seen, my love, they are positively delicious.”
Her mouth latches on, circling your areola with her tongue and suckling like she is addicted to your taste.
“Oh god- Rissa that feels so good,” You exclaim at her skillful mouth and fingers.
She releases your bud with a pop. Once she sees how impatient you are, with your face partly scrunched in pleasure and your eyes wide and begging silently, she hears you. Almost too quiet for her to hear, you mutter “please” nonstop, so sensitive and desperate that your words are hushed from focusing on how she feels.
“Don’t worry, sweet girl, I’m going to take care of you. First, let me get rid of this blanket.”
You smile, but your face drops at remembering your body. Your thighs, hips, and stomach are all parts of you that you hide, insecurity is now at the forefront of your mind, and you anxiously tremble.
“Wait- Riss I’m… I’m not sure you’d want to see me. I’ve got some squishy parts like my tummy and I am very self-conscious…”
Larissa pauses, taking your cheek in her palm, and says so sweetly yet seriously,
“Darling, I promise you that no matter how you look, you’re perfect in my eyes. Besides, I like my women with curves and everything that comes with them, I find it ravishing.”
She throws you a wink but remains genuine, making you comfortable to continue.
“Okay Rissa, thank you. I trust you.”
Tender hands grasp the blanket and pull it down to reveal a slightly chubby stomach that she instantly adores and wide hips with hip dips and stretch marks, down to thick thighs with cellulite.
“Baby, you’re beyond stunning, look at how soft and curvy you are. I can’t wait to kiss and touch every inch and show how I admire all of you.”
You beam at her and she moves to kneel between your legs with her upper body, hovering above. She kisses you, starting at your lips, along your neck, between your breasts, slowly descending your stomach, and eventually just above where you throb steadily. She runs her fingertips along your sides, hips, and thighs until you shiver. Larissa looks up at you from her place between your parted thighs and finally presses her lips on your center. Her breath heats your core, and her tongue darts out to lick between your lips. The tip of her tongue nudges your clit, and your back arches, a moan slipping from your mouth. Continuing her licks and now sucking on your clit, two fingers gather your wetness and push into your entrance.
With a groan at the stretch, you look down at her, a smirk apparent on her face. She winks and starts thrusting in and out until your head falls back again, moaning deeply. She builds you up again with flicks of her tongue on your clit and a steady pace of her fingers pushing in and out. She stops suddenly, making you whine.
“Hold on love, I can’t help but give these some attention. So mesmerizing when they bounce for me.”
Larissa leans over you again to kiss, bite, and suck on your breasts. Although you are a mewling mess, you immediately notice when something presses against your entrance, and you realize that she picked up the rabbit vibrator to hold it against you. When she sucks one nipple into your mouth and tugs, she shoves the length into your sopping hole.
You gasp loudly and grip the sheets, bracing yourself as she starts fucking you at a quick pace. Your wetness makes a loud squelching sound that drives Larissa insane. She lifts her head to look at you and feels her rough pounding should be matched with praise.
“You take it so well darling, I can hear how fucking wet you are. Such a needy girl aren’t you? You look so pretty when I fuck you, I’ll have to do this as often as I can to see what a good girl you can be for me.”
You visibly quiver at her words, and they bring you closer to the edge. Larissa kisses your lips passionately, and right as she turns the vibrator on, she whispers in your ear,
“Cum for me my love, be a good girl.”
You explode and shut your eyes tight as she fucks you through your orgasm and keeps whispering praises.
“That’s it, baby, you’re doing so good for me.”
“Good girl, make a mess.”
“So beautiful, yes baby, just like that.”
The vibrator turns off when your breathing evens out, Larissa keeping you from feeling overstimulated. You keep your eyes closed as your body fully relaxes under her. She slowly pulls the toy from inside you, and you groan slightly at becoming empty. She places the toy on the dresser atop a towel you prepared earlier and lays again on her side, propped up to view your post-orgasm state.
Your eyes are already on her, with fondness and love shining through. Larissa smiles and kisses your nose.
“You’re adorable dearest, even when you are all messy and red. Do you mind if I stay here and hold you?”
You answer promptly,
“Thank you Riss, you look gorgeous as always. Thank you for making me feel beautiful and safe. I would love it if you stay and please spend the night if you are comfortable with that.”
“I would love to… and y/n? You have nothing to be self-conscious about. If anything, you need to be prepared for how obsessed I am with your body.”
You chuckle, and she continues.
“Let me take care of you tonight and I might need to use those incredible pillows of yours to lay on while I sleep.”
You laugh again with her and decide to turn things around.
“Why don’t you get undressed so I’m not the only one naked here? Although… I don’t know if I can resist what I’ll see...”
“Oh? That won’t be a problem at all. We have plenty more to do before we sleep,” she says with a mischievous grin.
