Goals for the New Year (aka Me 2024)

Last year, I created a list of goals/resolutions that I wanted to accomplish, but I don't think I ever posted them here on Tumblr. As a result, I can't really do a post-mortem like I did in 2022, 2021 and 2020.

But that's ok because I don't really feel like doing a breakdown of what I accomplished and didn't accomplish this year anyway. Partially due to laziness, and partially due to the fact that this year has been a doozy -- to say the least.

Needless to say, I managed to weather the storm pretty well because I'm still standing. And although I'm still trying to sort out what comes next on a grander scale (::cough:: finding a new job ::cough::), I want to remember that life isn't all about my career.

So without further ado, here is the Canva image I created to use as a visual reminder of the goals I want to work toward throughout the year:

So that's all I came up with for the upcoming year. Let's see how many of these best laid plans gang aft a gley.

Every tarot reading I've watched for Pisces on what to expect in 2024 seems to be mostly positive. But I am a firm believer in the balance of shadow and light, so I'm sure both will find me in the Year of the Dragon.

Ultimately, I am grateful for the year I've had, despite its twists and turns. I managed to squeeze a lot of living in between the moments of constant change. And life is still giving me moments of joy, even if I may not always deserve it.

Thank you, 2023. Thank you, Spirit. Thank you, All. Here's to another amazing journey ahead. 😘

I've always had this thing for the girls in the romcoms, you know, the ones working at the New York Times or Vogue. Watching them put together these gorgeous collections for their readers left me in AWE. I used to dream about being just like them. I even started writing just so I could someday be a journalist (she did not turn into a journalist, she works in marketing)

Fast forward a couple of years, and those print magazines we all knew are almost extinct.

What the hell?

Online magazines just don't capture the same essence as grabbing a fresh J-14 off the shelf. They’re too minimal (and I’m getting tired of minimalism)

do u have a playlist for ur sugar daddy fic? i love it so much i’ve been making pinterest boards for mac and dennis but i wanted to ask the source if u have any supplemental content!

But otherwise, no. I listen to certain artists/albums when I write but I'm not sure you could necessarily say they have anything to do with the story. I've actually never made a character or story playlist in my life (I think my personal music tastes/interests are far too narrow for that, lol).

I’d be lying if I said this wasn’t one of the huge life changing art pieces that got me interested in digital art, concept art, and story boarding; the ability to convey such emotion and story in a single piece - *chefs kiss - BREATHTAKING! This one is absolutely heartbreaking and beautiful and a favorite of mine.
