SaL anon here bestie and it looks like we're going to be in for another round of reduce, reuse, and recycle next episode 🙄🙄🙄. The stupidity of this is truly astounding, so since we only have 2 days before this shitshow hits the screen I have chosen to fight stupid with ridiculous and wish to share my optimal scenario for getting rid of guest stars and dumb plots.
First Buck is on a dinner date with Natalia, who pumping him for details about his "death", when Kameron and Connor come over. They have no sense of boundaries so they say they have news about the baby Buck donated sperm for. At first Buck is worried Natalia's going to freak out but she gets weirdly interested and asks when he did that. He explains it was before his death and Natalia starts staring creepily at Kameron's stomach and spouts some nonsense about Buck's death was in exchange for creating life and repeated refers to the "death baby". Kameron backs away and stutters out that they just wanted to tell Buck they ran some tests and Connor is the dad after all. Natalia is instantly dismissive and goes back to eating while Buck politely excuses himself and runs from the restaurant.
Cut to Eddie on the beach in heavy pining mode monologuing to himself extensively about how he wanted a sign and Buck on a date with Natalia who "sees him" clearly is a sign its not meant to be. He spots Marisol and starts reluctantly making his way to her when Buck, still fleeing his date, slams into him and knocks him over. He starts going off about how nuts Natalia is but stops when he noticed Eddie glaring at the heavens mutter "goddamnit..".
After the big finale emergency Eddie and Buck are stuck on an uncollapsed portion of the bridge with no way down to the ground. Buck starts to say this whole ordeal has made him realize and appreciate the people in his life more while giving Eddie A Look. Before he can finish though a helicopter comes in with L dangling from a harness and she says some crap like "need a ride" while winking at Buck. Eddie casually shoves her away causing her to spin comically in a circle and then asks Buck "You were saying?".
Hope you enjoyed this as a break from thinking about what is to come and some of the takes floating around out there. Also since you're the actual writer here I'd love to hear of you have an ideal scenario, we might as well have fun with this mess until forced to do otherwise.
Sorry this is so late at night my friend! It was my niece's birthday and I was out of town with every intention of being home by 8 or 9 tonight to answer this before an early bedtime so naturally it was after 11 before I actually got home 🤷🏻‍♀️
Yeah, none of the news coming out about Buck or Eddie's storylines interest me because it's all just a rinse and repeat of season 4 at this point and I'm so so very tired.
I enjoyed your version of events! There's a reason "gotta laugh to keep from screaming" is a tag I use often! 🤣 This gave me quite the giggle reading over it the other night! I wouldn't call myself *much* of a writer though if I was less brain dead I'm sure I could come up with something (6 year-olds man. They will wear you OUT!)
But ideally I would love to see sassy, petty, bitchy Eddie come out about Buck not being able to make it work to meet up with Natalia because those scenes always give me joy, and I would LOVE for literally anything to come out about the donor baby not being Buck's like I need this storyline to end in such a way that we can all just forget it happened and never have to deal with it again. I would also love if L appearance gets cut down to absolutely nothing. Like, a nod across the accident scene where SHE is the blurry background figure for once and then she also disappears never to be heard from or about ever again.
I didn't watch the sneak peeks but I saw some stills and memes about the Madney ones so at least I'm looking forward to that stuff and the calls look like they *could* be interesting but also like they could just be used to push more of Buck's stupid plot with Natalia so we'll see I guess. I'm disappointed with the news that as of yet, KR is still supposed to be moving with the show but they've got time to hammer out the details. I'm sure it will be like RNM did where it's "oh I left for such and such other, better, opportunity" which is fine I don't even care how they spin it as long as she leaves but if she's still around for s7....eh. I'm too tired to try and cross that bridge just yet.
Good luck to us tomorrow, and next week and then maybe I can breathe and work on my fic and actually get somewhere on it!

When I was your man
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing: idol!Bang Chan × gn!Reader
Genre: angst
Warnings: alcohol consumption (nothing much tho, it's barely there)
Request: ok so as much as i hate sad fics, i have an amazing idea that is definitely going to break many hearts... when i was your man by bruno mars, as inspiration for a chan fic.
A/n: ik this is inspired by when I was your man but listen to "shot glass of tears" by jungkook and "million reasons" by lady gaga, it really adds to the experience
Tumblr media
He could just call you. He knew you would pick up and listen to what he had to say, even though it was probably going to be nonsense. Even if all he had to say was bullshit and excuses, you would listen. You could even give him another chance. But that time, he didn't want that.
No, horrible wording, Bang Chan thought to himself. Of course he wanted another chance. He loved you so much that all he could think of, even when the alcohol was all over his brain and the members and staff were talking about the new comeback, was when he'd get another chance to see you. I'm still not over with all the work for today. Tomorrow we have rehearsals. The day after that we have recording. We probably have something to do later as well, but I can't recall what it is. I don't think I'll have the time this week.
Oh, that was one of the problems. Time. Or the lack of it for that matter. He'd always be late for dinner and would always miss breakfast. In the beginning you thought it was understandable, although you never liked it. But as time went on, you felt you were dating a ghost: the only thing that guaranteed you had a boyfriend was the same old message he would sent you before any date. "Won't be able to make it. I'm sorry. I love you." After receiving so many texts like this in the spam of the last six months, you started to doubt the last two sentences.
But he was sorry. And he loved you. He was planning on how he could show you this now. Maybe he should buy you flowers. You've always liked it, you felt as it was romantic. But there's nothing romantic in excuses that hold no regret. Your words, not his. Won't buy flowers. Yeah, he'd already tried that one before.
Maybe he should take you out. A real date. He'd show up this time, he was sure of it. But would you? He remembers the episode of last week. He showed up after what felt like an eternity without seeing you. But you stood him up. At first he thought it was a little revenge. He would've deserved that if that was the case. But you weren't playing any games. You had just given up. How can you call it a date if you don't look at my eyes throughout it, just because you're to worried a paparazzi will show up? You can't even bring yourself to hold my hand. He read the message you sent at least a hundred times, enough for him to know it by heart and for those words to follow him everywhere he goes. It was the last text you sent him.
He could've called. You would've picked up. He knew you were just looking for a reason to stay, though you had a million reasons to quit. But you still had faith. You still loved him. Right now you were probably looking at your ceiling with teary eyes, trying to make the worst seem better. He knew you that much, and he knew you well.
But he didn't know himself that well. He didn't know then that he was able to put his pride aside. He didn't know that you weren't looking for a grand gesture. He didn't know that he was enough. You just wanted him, and he wasn't able to give it to you. He should've called. But he didn't.
If he had called you, you would've heard him. You would've believed in whatever he had to say. You wouldn't be dating someone new. Someone who has time for you. Someone who gives you flowers without trying to use it as an apology. Someone who's not afraid of being seen with you and holds your hand. The things he could've been to have you by his side if he had tried a little more.
Yeah, he should've called.

i wish i never met you
just a super sad fic, hope you enjoy. italics are flashbacks!
jack hughes x reader
words: 2,849
masterlist
you sighed as the credits for the episode you just finished played on the television screen. you considered going to sleep, it was late and you had to get up somewhat early tomorrow for work. the auto play timer finished though, and the screen changed to show to beginning of the next episode. you picked up your phone from the mattress beside your checking the time. 11:11.
“make a wish,” you said quietly, something you always told yourself when you caught this specific time. you rolled your eyes at the silliness of thinking a wish could come true just because of the time that it was made. you knew from experience that that wasn’t true. you had spent months of your life making the same wish over and over again, only for nothing to change. you shook your head, trying to rid yourself of those thoughts before they even entered your brain. it doesn’t work well though, and before you realize it you’re zoned out, thrown back into the past.
~~~
you felt your cheeks heat up at the sight of the bottle neck pointing at you. cheers and whistles were heard around the room as everyone else caught sight of it as well. you took a chance and let your eyes drift upward from the bottle to the person that had spun it: jack. he gave you a smile that was a mix between apologetic and excited. he stood from his spot and held out a hand to help you up from yours, which you cautiously took. you followed him down the hallway to his room, walking in awkwardly as he closed the door behind you both. you had been here a million times before, but this time you had no clue what to do.
"we don't have to kiss if you don't want to. we can just sit here for the seven minutes," he told you.
"you're gonna kiss and you're gonna like it!" you heard trevor yell from the other side of the door. jack smacked the door, and you heard giggles from the other side and then footsteps running away. jack shook his head and scoffed and then made his way over to sit on the bed. he smiled up at you and you finally relaxed. this was just another funny situation you had been put into with your best friend. you smiled back, making your way to sit next to him.
"they're totally gonna grill us when we go back out there," you told him, but he just shrugged.
"we can just make it up. say we kissed once or twice or something." you nodded, but the situation got the better of you.
"or we could actually kiss?" jack looked shocked at your suggestion. "I mean, why lie to our friends when we could just... you know."
"yeah, why lie?" he readjusted so he was actually facing you and you did the same. he gave a small smile and you giggled at the awkwardness of all of this. he leaned in, and so did you, your lips pressing against his only a few seconds later. it wasn't much, considering it was a first kiss between two sixteen year olds. you were the first to pull away, opening your eyes to find jack already looking at you. you couldn't read the look on his face, but you had a feeling that whatever was going through his head wasn't good.
"we can just pretend that didn't happen if-"
"can we do that again?" you were shocked, your mind running a million miles a minute. "please?"
"you want to kiss me again?"
"i mean, not if you don't want to kiss me again. we don't have to. but I just thought... since you brought it up the first time... maybe I was wrong but I just-"
"jack!" you reached out and let your hand rest on his arm, trying to comfort him and stop his rambling. "calm down for a second, okay?" his eyes went wide as he looked at you, waiting for what you were about to say. "I wouldn't mind if we kissed again. i just didn't realize that you would want to."
"are you kidding me? no, i really want to." you giggled, feeling your cheeks heat up again at his confession. “if i could, i’d kiss you forever.”
“forever? are you sure?”
“only if you want me forever too.” you just nodded in response, leaning in to kiss him again.
~~~
a loud scene playing on screen pulled you out of your head, and your gaze flew to see what was happening. you sighed, realizing you had let yourself fall down the rabbit hole. it was the same every time: your mind would start with all of the good memories, playing them on repeat until you were almost convinced that you were still living in them, and then the bad ones would start to creep in.
~~~
you hummed in contentment at the heat of the sun hitting your back. it was the perfect weather out to work on your tan and then hop in the lake after to cool off. your plans were cut short though, and you couldn't help but squeal at the feeling of cool lake water hitting your back. you turned just enough to see jack standing above you shaking his wet hair.
"jack, you ass!" he just laughed in response, sitting on the lounger next to you.
"that's no way to talk to your boyfriend!' trevor joked as he walked by. alex followed, shaking his head.
"hey, at least they're not making out in front of us." you stuck your tongue out at both of them and they laughed as they entered the house. the sliding door to the back porch closed, leaving you and jack alone outside.
"we're gonna make a fire and do smore's tonight," jack told you.
"mmm, i love s’mores." you settled back into your chair, continuing to tan as you watched jack settling into the chair next to you.
"i know. that's why i made mom go get the stuff for them."
"you didn't have to do that, j." he just shrugged. you fell into a comfortable silence for a while, and you might have been able to fall asleep if you didn't feel jack's eyes on you. you peeked an eye open, and he smiled when he realized.
"you caught me."
"you checking me out?"
"maybe." you grinned, closing your eyes again. it didn't last long though, as jack spoke again and you opened them at his words. "just can't believe you're actually mine. feels like I'm dreaming and I'm gonna wake up and we'll be just friends again."
"yeah, i know."
~~~
you huffed, falling face-first onto the bed. you hummed at the feeling of the mattress under you, ready to fall asleep right then and there. you had had a long day, the memories playing through your mind like it was a movie theater. you had zoned out so much at work that your coworkers started to worry about you, but you brushed them off and told them you were fine. is reminiscing over a relationship that ended eight months ago considered fine? you only laid there for a moment before you stood, making your way to the kitchen and pulling a drink from the fridge. you made a quick trip to the stash in your nightstand drawer before heading out to the balcony and lighting the joint you held to your lips. maybe if you got crossed, the thoughts wouldn't enter your mind.
~~~
you looked up from your homework at the sound of the doorbell ringing. you weren't expecting anyone, so you almost didn't get up to answer it. but then it rang a second time, and a third, and you stood from your spot at the table and made your way over. you nearly screamed when you opened the door, not expecting jack to be standing on the front step.
"what are you doing here?" you asked, throwing your arms around his neck and pulling him into a hug. he laughed as his arms wrapped around your waist.
"what, i can't come see my girl?" you pulled away just enough to look at him as you spoke.
"you said you weren't coming back until Wednesday."
"i may have lied a bit so I could surprise you." you smiled widely, tucking your head back into his neck. he held you for a moment before speaking lowly. "we should probably go inside before your neighbors come out." you giggled, pulling away and leading him inside and to the couch.
"tell me everything about your trip," you said, flopping down on the couch. jack sat down next to you, a small pout on his face.
"but you haven't even kissed me yet." you grinned, then leaned in to press your lips to his. his hand came up to rest on the back of your neck, gently holding you in place as he tried to deepen the kiss. you let him for a moment, savoring the feeling of him, before pulling away.
"okay, now tell me!" jack rolled his eyes, but smiled as he started his stories.
~~~
your eyes were locked on your phone screen, the text that you had just received still on display. your whole body went hot at the sight of it, and you couldn't help but read it over and over again.
jack
how have you been
before you could open the notification, it disappeared and you knew he had deleted the message.
~~~
you laughed as you watched trevor's marshmallow go up in flames, eventually melting off of his stick and falling straight into the fire. he groaned at the sight, knowing that not three minutes earlier cole had told him not to let that happen. cole looked over at his friend and started yelling about wasting the marshmallows and you smiled. sure, your friends were rambunctious and loud, but you loved them that way.
"you gonna make some?" jack asked lowly in your ear, and you broke from the little bubble you were in.
"of course. just waiting for Z to be done with his stick." you turned around just enough to see jack's face from where you sat in his lap. "want me to make you one too?"
"mmm, yes please. you make the best s’mores." he pressed a quick kiss to your lips, both of you pulling away with a smile.
"oh, gross!" you heard cole yell. "i'm trying to eat over here, could you two cut it out?" you turned back around to the group, flipping him off.
“trevor, give me the stick,” you called out. “i’ll make one for you.” he happily brought the stick over to you, a new marshmallow already on the end of it. you held it out over the flame of the fire you were all sat around, watching carefully to make sure it was done perfectly. you were only pulled out of your concentration by the feeling of jacks lips on your cheek, and you turned to smile at him for a moment before turning back to trevor’s marshmallow. in the split second you looked away, you had accidentally lowered the stick into the flames and caught the snack on fire.
“you distracted me!” you whined, watching what was about to be the best marshmallow you’ve ever toasted fall off the stick and onto the log below. trevor started yelling at alex about how he’s not the only one who wastes food around here, but you just pouted.
“sorry, baby. you just looked really cute all concentrated and i had to kiss you.”
“stop sucking up, i’m still mad.”
~~~
you nearly threw your phone across the room after you pressed send, instead opting for throwing it to the other side of the couch. you stared at it lying there for a moment, and then buried your head into your hands and screamed. this was dumb. you never should’ve even written the message, let alone actually sent it. you may actually be the most pathetic person you knew at this point. you had been tossing around the idea of texting him ever since you saw him across the street earlier that morning. he hadn’t seen you, hadn’t even looked your way, but you saw him. you froze for a moment, then picked up the pace, willing him to keep his eyes on his phone and away from where you were essentially running away.
~~~
you watched from the back porch as jack and his friends sat around the fire pit talking. ever since they had all arrived they spoke about the draft that had just passed. they had good reason to, all of them had been picked at some point during it. but jack, he had been first. he was going to new jersey, the only one of any of them to go straight to the league. you were proud of him. he had finally gotten everything he had been dreaming of since you had met him all those years ago. but you were also angry. not at new jersey, and the fact that he would be moving away from you for a bit. but the fact that your friends were also allowed to brag about their accomplishments, but jack hadn’t let any of them get a word in.
jack had changed in the few short weeks since the draft, and not for the better. you knew it would be more time consuming than the previous teams he played on, but it seemed like he hadn’t had any time for you at all. he had cast you to the side, and it seemed like he was trying to do the same to his friends now too.
you turned around at the sound of the door sliding open, seeing ellen with an armful of s’mores supplies. you gave her a tight smile as she placed everything down on the table and then sat down next to you.
“get kicked out of the circle?” she asked jokingly, but you sighed before responding and her smile dropped.
“just tired of hearing jack talk about jersey. i mean, i love him and i’m proud of him but hearing him talk about how happy he is to move away hurts a little.”
“i understand. he’s my first baby moving so far away. hurts my heart to see him so happy to go.” you looked back over at jack, though he didn’t turn around to look at you. normally it was like he could sense your eyes on him and he would turn to find you, and you’d always do the same to him. the last few months, even before the draft, things had been off. you sensed it, knew what was inevitably coming, but still tried to push it off, not wanting to truly believe it. yet there was still that voice in the back of your head telling you that forever was ending a whole lot faster than you thought it would.
“i think i’m gonna head in, get ready for bed,” you told ellen, standing up from your chair.
“no s’mores tonight?” you glanced over to the fire, noticing all the chairs taken. if you wanted a s’more you’d have to take your normal spot on jacks lap or raise attention and drag your own chair over. neither sounded too appealing at the moment.
“not tonight. thank you though, ellen. goodnight.” ellen wished you a goodnight and watched you walk inside before glancing back over to jack, who hadn’t even noticed you had left. she could sense what was coming too, and she just hoped you’d keep in touch with her after.
it was an hour after you left that jack made his way into the room. you were already in bed, but still awake and watching whatever movie was on the tv. he slipped into the room, closing the door again behind him.
“you disappeared on me.”
“just tired, sorry.”
“mom brought out stuff for s’mores.” that was it. no “come down and let’s make some” or “i made one and brought it to you. it might not be as good as yours but i know how much you love them.” just the fact that ellen had brought the ingredients outside, as if that wasn’t an hour ago.
“i know,” was all you responded with. jack didn’t seem to pick up on your short answers though, grabbing some shorts from his dresser so he could go shower.
“i was talking to the boys about august.” there he went again, talking about moving away and leaving you behind. the least he could do was sound somewhat sad about it. “i still can’t believe it. feels like this is all some crazy dream.”
“yeah, i know what you mean.”
~~~
you weren’t expecting a text back. you knew jack had seen the message, his read receipts were on. you thought about deleting it but maybe that was more pathetic than just accepting what you had done. your mind had been a whirlwind ever since you sent the three worded message and it didn’t show sign of slowing down. until, that is, your phone dinged and hour later and his name popped up on the screen.
y/n
i miss you
jack
let me take you to dinner. pick you up at seven

One Piece: Portgas Ace x FEM! Reader
A marine and a pirate shouldn't be together, yet, it happened.
not edited
I honestly skipped too many episodes on marine ford so forgive me if I get some things wrong. and these characters are way too ooc. I'm sorry 😭
~~~~
Y/N knew this shouldn't have happened. She knew she shouldn't be sneaking away with a pirate, someone the marines had a heavy bounty on. She knew all to well that being seen with a pirate as a marine will... ruin both their lives. But Ace was like a hook and she was the fish; she was so infatuated by him. She knew better, and yet.
"What are you thinking about?" Ace voice echoed into her ears as she silently stood near the shore. He hummed once he hadn't gotten an answer from her. "Oh, come on, (Nick Name). You're ruining the vibe." He pouted, but still didn't receive an answer. Ace took this chance to stand up from his seat and walked his way to her. He placed a hand around her waist and gazed out in the ocean as well. "What're thinking about?" He questioned once more. This time, he successfully received an answer.
"I'm thinking." Y/N answered, not dearing to look at her lover. Ace smiled. He gave her quick kiss on the cheek before grabbing a hold of her hand.
"No need to worry, baby. it's just us two." Y/N only stared at him and sighed.
"I don't understand why you're so chill about this. The marines will be coming for you and you're just-"
"Spending my time with you." He cut her off, a small smile still on his freckled face. "You don't need to be afraid, honey." He tried to brush off his girlfriend's concerning attitude.
"When will you be setting sail?" Y/N decided to leave the topic behind, rather curious of his departure.
"I'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon. Why? You're going to miss me?"
Y/N scoffed. "As if." She was flustered, that's for sure. She didn't want Ace to see this side of her although they've been together for almost a year.
"You can always come-"
"You know I can't, Ace." The woman sighed. "We've had this conversation before. You being a pirate an-"
"You being a marine." The black head sighed. "Yep. I understand." Y/N remained quiet as guilt began to fill her.
She regretted ever taking Ace's offer into listening to him just as she was about to capture him. He was able to persuade her to let him leave, but she refused, so she stayed with him at a nearby island to keep an eye on him. Ace, effortlessly, escaped but he knew that wouldn't be the last time he'd see her.
Y/N would randomly received letters and as soon as she realized it was from Ace, she would quickly hid them away before anyone would notice. Unbeknownst to Ace, she made a while collection just for the letters she gotten from him. She'd hide them in a chest inside her room and kept it lock away from everyone's eyes.
While being off duty for a while, she didn't expect she'd see Ace at a nearby town. They'd chat it up and boom. Love started to bloom between the two. Ace eventually asked Y/N out and they've been keeping their relationship on the down low ever since.
But when Y/N was back on duty for her job, she failed to realize the outcome of dating the well-known pirate.
"I'm.. sleepy. Let's go to bed." Y/N dragged the man after her. Then, she wasn't able to witness his loving smile as he stared at the back of her head.
~~~~
Y/N's eyes laid dull as she stared at the newspaper.
Fire Fist Ace; Dead!
She were angry. Not Ace, not at the marines, but at herself. She knew it was inevitable but there could've been a way stop that from happening if she was there. She hated herself for it. If she did knew any better, she could've broken it off him to make it less painful for both of them.
A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. She quickly wiped away her tears and her news. She hid the news paper under her pillow and made her way to her front door.
Garb stood at her door with a noticeable glare as soon as Y/N opened it.
"Uh, Garb, sir." She muttered, quite confused as to why the head of the marines was at her door.
"May I come in?" He finally spoke and Y/N was nervous to answer, but she let in. She widen her door and allowed the big man to enter. "I'm sorry I laid you off as a marine for a while."
"Oh? It's.. it's fine."
"You wish you were there, weren't you?"
"Excuse me?" Y/N cocked her eyebrows.
"Ace." He simply said. Y/N tried her best not to show any emotion as she waited for him to continue speaking. "You and Ace were dating, weren't you?" Y/N stayed silent, not showing one ounce of emotion. "As expected. You're so good at hiding. I'd never expected for you to be dating a pirate." He laughed, which confused Y/N. "I told that stupid boy that being a pirate is bad, and look how he ended up. If he had just become a marine like me, none of this would've happen. He might've still be able to meet you."
"Why are you really here, Garb, sir?" Y/N was starting to grow annoyed at the older man's yapping. Garb smiled at the woman before him. He placed a hand in his pocket before dragging them out, revealing a paper.
"Ace demanded I do this last thing for him." He handed the woman his paper. "His last words was 'I love you.' To whom? I'm not sure. Perhaps whatever's on that paper can tell you." The big man walked past the woman as he reached for the front door's handle. "Oh, and one more thing," Y/N waited for what he had to say. "You're fired." He opened the door and exited out of your sight before closing the door again.
The woman sighed. She opened the paper that was given to her and realized it was a letter. The last letter from Ace.
I know this seems a little strange, but this will be the last time I'll ever see you again. The time I've spend with you was so worth being pirate for. If I wasn't a pirate, would we have ever met? Or should we share the same sentimental moments we had? I can't think of our life any other way, so let's not dwell on that-
Y/M wasn't even half way done and she was already tearing up. She didn't want to finish read it, but she also wanted to. It was a magnet pulling her in. Her eyes was able to catch the few last lines of the page before she really broke down into dramatic tears.
In this life, it was unfortunate that we weren't able to be together. I hope in another life I'm able to hold your body without worrying of what'll happen to you and I. Don't be sad. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later. I hope to see you later in the afterlife. Then, I'll give you so many kisses and tell you more stories about my pirate life.
Until then, see you later.

I was trying to make this angst.. idk man. also wrote this at 2am and I suck at writing letters lol.

Favorite part about Adam on my swap au is that he is still kind of a little bitch, like yeah he wants to redeem sinners, yeah he wants to give people a second chance but he is not taking shit for other demons
Bro didn't took Katie's Tom's pen on the Pilot when he mocked him, he pushed and insulted him
"Yeah?! Well- How does it feel to know sinners only watch you because of Zestial huh?! You mediocre insuffering asshole!"
Bro caused the accidents of episode 4 in purpose just to get Husk out of work early
"Oh I'm so sorry for this, I think we should leave and come back tomorrow, hm?"
Bro was ready to demolish Valentino Zestial and the only thing that prevent him from doing it was Angel Husk comparing it to how he "ruined everything in Eden"
"Is this your idea of help?! Fucking up everything here just like you did in Eden?!"
Bro resents Lucifer Emily for allowing exterminations (and Lilith Sera a little bit but for different reasons) to the point of being a cold mf to her when talking before episode 5
"Emily, you know I'm busy doing the work you and Sera aren't, so do me a favor and only call me if it's important."
Bro was more confused about Alastor Pentious being so friendly on episode 5 than happy, he was aware he was just doing it to piss off Emily
"Wait what?"
Bro had a more negative reaction to Vaggie Lute being a former exorcist
"Oh c'mon Lute, if you know you wouldn't have even fucking told me"
The only reason why he didn't lose his shit with Charlotte in the meeting of episode 1 is because he knew he needed to get her on his side but that didn't worked so fuck He is A BIT more respected than Charlie but sinners are still mostly assholes or don't know who the hell he is
"Hey! I'm not the one trying to get into fucking heaven! I'm trying to get those who do deserve it"

I just rewatched the Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode "Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow". And oh by golly do I have a ton of headcanons and ideas regarding what happened in the Other-Jim's timeline, as well as how that affects La'an when she gets back to her own timeline. And since you obviously want to know about all of my thoughts on this, I will share them.🙂
This is gonna be a long one, lads and lasses. So buckle your seatbelts.
Also, Spoilers for season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds below the cut.
All ideas I'm about to talk about stem from the fact that I am convinced that the first thing to convince Jim to help La'an get her timeline back, was the fact that in her timeline, Sam was still alive. He would risk his entire universe, just to know that his brother was still there. (Just to be 100% clear, I do have eyes and can see that he and La'an developed feelings for each other. Obviously. I'm just talking about before that happened. The look on his face when she said that she knew Sam. Getting his brother back was a first priority, I think.)
There are two main ideas that I have. I'll start with the first one I came up with:
George Samuel Kirk, and James Tiberius Kirk were both born on the SS Iowa. Three years apart.
Growing up during an intergalactic war wasn't easy, and at some point, they made a pact to keep each other safe. No matter what.
Sam learned at a young age how to do whatever it took to keep himself and his brother safe. Even if that meant killing someone.
Sam joined the fight first. He was a soldier and a protecter. And that's what Jim thinks of first when he thinks of his brother.
Sam dies in some sort of suicide mission in order to save the Enterprise. To save his brother.
When La'an and Jim first meet, it's been a minimum of five years since that day. Maybe more.
At some point, Jim asks La'an about what his brother is like in her timeline, which leads to them comparing and contrasting about Sam Kirk, and learning that the two were very VERY different.
The Sam that Jim knew would never shave his face because "The Romulans aren't going to leave us alone for a minute because we need a shave." And he barely if ever would even trim the hair on his face. (La'an laughs at the thought of her timeline's Sam with a shaggy beard.)
Jim's Sam knew how to shoot to kill. He would run first into the fight, just to make sure that everyone made it out alive. And La'an almost wishes she could've met that Sam.
When Jim mentions that he always thought of his brother as a peacemaker and a pacifist that never had the chance to learn what peace was, La'an is glad to be able to tell him that in her timeline, Sam isn't a fighter. He doesn't know how to aim to kill, and would rather run than fight. And Jim smiles at hearing that.
When they think that maybe Jim can come to La'an's timeline, he stops to himself and thinks about seeing Sam again.
It wouldn't be his Sam.
It wouldn't be the same Sam that taught him how to play chess so that he wouldn't hear the sounds of war outside the window.
It wouldn't be the same Sam that would smack him on the back of the head when he ran into a firefight, only to do the same thing almost immediately after.
It wouldn't be the same Sam who wished for a time where he didn't have to fight to keep them safe.
It wouldn't be the same Sam that he watched die.
But for all their differences, the two Sams were very much alike.
Both enjoyed studying biological sciences. (That was one thing that made Jim's Sam so deadly.)
Both Sams had the same Kirk stubbornness, which meant they would never back down.
They both had an annoying habit of saying the wrong things at the worst possible times.
Most importantly, both Sams loved their "idiot" younger brothers.
La'an found all of the differences amusing, and I think she probably wondered just how different the Jim in her own timeline was, from the man that was sitting next to her. The man that she was starting to fall for.
And when things went wrong, his last words were, "Tell Sam I said 'hi'." Even at the end, he thought about his brother.
And La'an went home, alone.
She was told that she wasn't allowed to discuss what happened with anybody. Ever.
She probably avoided Sam for a while. Because even though she never met the Other Sam, she didn't have to.
Sam and Jim look just enough alike for it to be painful. They have the same look in their eyes. Even though Sam's are dark and Jim's are hazel, the light in them is the same.
They also talk in the same way. La'an didn't know that until she got back, but Sam and Jim both use their hands in the same way when they talk. And the way that they shrug with one shoulder, the way they move their mouths when they're thinking. The little things add up.
So La'an just avoids Sam like the plague.
Until eventually, when she's had time to properly process everything that happened. (Sometime post "Subspace Rhapsody" I think would be best.)
She finally catches Sam alone in a turbolift.
She doesn't look at him, and he thinks that he must have done something wrong.
And she just says three words. "Jim says 'hi'."
She fulfills her friend's dying wish. And then she doesn't say anything else, and just gets off as soon as the doors open back up.
Sam knows that something else is going on for two reasons:
One, he just spoke to Jim less than five minutes before.
And two, his Big Brother Instincts were blaring red alert. She was a little sister that needed help.
I don't know if he acted on the Big Brother Instincts or not, but that can be left open to interpretation.
The other concept that I have, follows the same as the first one for the first few bullet points, with one major big change: Other Timeline Sam was closer in additude to Main Timeline Sam.
Instead of being a fighter, Sam was always the one that would hide from the fight. This is partly what prompted Jim to be the one to fight in the war.
Despite his own self-proclaimed cowardice, Sam worked hard to try and protect his brother. Which is what led to his untimely demise.
Instead of dying in a suicide mission to protect the Enterprise, it was something more like a Romulan got on board and was trying to get to Jim
So Sam did what any big brother would in that moment. He kept his baby brother safe.
Claiming to be Jim (or something. Details aren't specific right now.) Sam ends up dying. He managed to kill the intruder too.
Jim doesn't get to his brother in time. By the time he gets there, Sam's dead. And that moment shapes him.
It's still around five years after that, that La'an and Jim meet.
They still end up comparing Sams, but this time, they're surprised by how much alike the two are.
The biggest difference that the two can find is that Jim's Sam was clean shaven.
Jim this time is more hopeful about seeing his brother again. He's sure that there are tons of differences between the two that they don't know about. (La'an and Sam aren't exactly close.)
But what matters to him is that the two Sams are similar enough.
When Jim dies, this time, La'an avoids Sam even harder. She can't bear to look at the man that Other Timeline Jim wanted to see so badly.
The similarities between the brothers are too much. It makes her angry, just as much as it makes her sad. So she avoids Sam.
She walks out of the room as soon as he walks in.
She doesn't even look at the turbolift if she can hear him talking.
Sam's starting to think that he's done something to make her mad at him. It's not like they ever talked much before, but now? Something definitely happened.
In this version of events, she avoids talking to Sam for way longer than she did in the other one. Even after she sorta comes to terms with everything that happened.
It takes some sort of outside intervention to get them talking. (Idk what though. An away mission or something like that maybe? It's not like anyone is shoving them in a room together or anything like that. Aside from the two of them, I don't think anyone else really notices or cares all that much.)
When she does finally say her three words to him, it's a little more angry. They got into a fight because Sam made a comment that his brother doesn't care that much about him. (Don't ask me why that would even come up. It just does. Go with it.)
She yells at him, telling him what Jim's last words were.
She doesn't want to even look at him. Because looking at the Sam that Other Timeline Jim would have been so excited to see hurts, especially when that same Sam is claiming that his brother wouldn't care if anything happens to him.
Maybe it all spills out. Well, not all of it. But some of the big parts. The part where a different version of Sam's brother died in her arms.
The part where the last thing he said was to tell Sam he said hi.
The part where Other Timeline Jim missed his big brother so much that he was willing to destroy the entire life that he knew just to see him again.
By the end of that, she's sobbing. And so is he, really.
Sam apologizes for saying what he did. He didn't know how it would hurt her. (He still doesn't quite believe everything she said. But he really didn't mean to upset her.)
La'an doesn't respond to him, and just walks away.
She doesn't avoid him as much after that.

Inspired by something you said yesterday ~_~
-
Shadow sat on the edge of the bed, tense, but unable to do anything except listen.
Eclipse had woken up in the middle of the night, again, and tried to bolt. Again. Rouge was out there, trying to calm him down. Shadow was in her bedroom, because if Eclipse saw him during one of his episodes it made everything worse.
They knew from experience.
There was nothing worse then knowing he couldn't do anything to help, that all he could do was be out of sight and listen his brother's agony.
And it was all because of that damn platypus.
"He's going to kill me," Shadow could hear Eclipse saying, his voice taunt with panic and fear, "he's here and when I'm not looking, he'll kill me."
"No one is coming," Rouge said patiently. "Remember? We talked about this, Omega is guarding the door, no one is getting in and no one is coming to hurt or kill you."
Technically, Omega now charged in front of the door to make it more difficult for Eclipse to get out. But he didn't need to know that.
There was a long pause, "Then I'm supposed to kill him?"
"No," Rouge answered, "That's not right either, hun. You're just supposed to sleep and get better."
"Supposed to sleep..." Eclipse repeated. There were sounds of movement and through the door frame, Shadow caught a glimpse of Rouge herding the darkling back to his bed.
A few more seconds, followed by Rouge asking where his plushie was, telling him again that he was safe. And then finally she walked into the bedroom, ears and wings dropping with exhaustion. "He's fine," she said, before Shadow could ask. "He didn't even get out this time."
Shadow sighed in relief.
"Shadow," Rouge said, shutting the door, "I don't think this is working."
That made Shadow stand up, "he's getting better. He was fine today."
"He was fine during the day," Rouge corrected. "He's not fine at night, he can't sleep knowing you're here. And if he does manage to fall asleep, then he wakes up panicking. Or he just starts panicking all on his own. I'm telling you, this is not working. He needs to sleep. I need to sleep."
In his heart, Shadow knew what she was saying was correct, but it didn't make him any less angry, "so what?" He demanded, "we just throw him out?"
"No," Rouge said, "but I think it's time you might have to accept he'll need to stay somewhere else for a bit. At least while he thinks you're coming to murder him when he lets his guard down."
Shadow just growled under his breath at the injustice of this all, he could fight all the enemies he possibly could, but he couldn't vanquish the ones that were plaguing his brother's mind.
Gently, Rouge patted his shoulder, "tomorrow, after breakfast. We need to figure something else out."
There was nothing he could say to answer that, so Shadow just nodded.
Leaving Rouge in her room, Shadow slunk out into the rest of the apartment. He wanted to go guard Eclipse, say don't worry, I'll keep you safe while you sleep. But that wouldn't help him. It would make things even worse. Instead, Shadow went into the kitchen.
There was no way he could sleep while there was a chance Eclipse might wake up and bolt again. So he just sat on the floor, where he had a hindered view of his brother. A spot where Eclipse most likely wouldn't be able to see him, but Shadow could keep an eye on him.
And Shadow waited for what would come next.
AGGHHHHHHHH DO YOU KNOW HOW CRAZY THIS IS MAKING MEEEEEE YOU WROTE IT OUT AND CAPTURED IT SO WELL
THAT LAST PART HURT ME 😭 HE WANTS TO HELP BUT HE KNOWS JUST BEING IN SIGHT WOULD MAKE THINGS WORSE OUGHHHHHH

This is a week long overdo and I know the next episode is going to air tomorrow, but I need to go off just how in awe I am with Momo last episode.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Not only did he meet with an 'enemy' group member that could have been a trap, he went out of his way to protect him. He played the bad guy when Ryo found them out from Touma's mistake, despite it jeopardizing Re:vale's plan and his own safety.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like even if the "mad dog" couldn't physically take on those bodyguards, I still think Momo could have maybe escaped if he squeezed through and ran away. He could even fairly argue he was not involved and leave it to Touma to deal with (not that Ryo would have accepted that anyways). But he didn't. He went along Ryo quietly and without a fight, because if he didn't, it would have left Touma to face Ryo's wrath and consequences. He even tried to 'dismiss' Touma from this so he wouldn't have to deal with the brunt of it. And this was for a group that was antagonizing RTI for most of this cour and last cour.
(Yes Re:vale did offer their phone number to him and they did know Touma from before. But to jump in and deflect the blame too?)
Not to mention this scene:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think Momo brought up the potential of Yuki noticing and arriving on purpose. Sure, maybe there was a low off chance Ryo would back down if he knew he would get caught. But if Momo hadn't given Ryo the heads up and Yuki did come to check in on Momo in his apartment, Ryo might have panicked and do something more drastic towards Yuki and drag him into it as pointy knife scene round 2 . Momo bringing it up now where Ryo calm and under control not only leads Ryo to calmly use a less drastic means to handle that situation if it were to occur (even if its not ideal either), it also redirects Ryo's focus to go after Momo instead of Yuki. (Yes, Momo and Ryo use the word "police" here. But Ryo may not know yet that Yuki had stormed in with a bat to save Momo before. So I think Momo was trying to be mindful not give hints of the possibility that Yuki may be the one confronting him. He used 'police' instead so he wouldn't think of any special means to deal with Yuki.)
To add on: Others have pointed out that Momo's usual earrings represents how he feels himself in regards to Re:vale (Banri and Yuki on top, himself on the bottom). But in this current set of earrings, his red earring is completely on a separate ear, away from the "Yuki" (and "Banri") earring. He's only worn these earrings a handful times. The key times being: 1)
Tumblr media
The day he thought he and Yuki would be officially splitting for good (Day 3 of the Zero Arena Inauguration concert)
2) this episode... where he is actually physically separated from Yuki now that he is trapped in his place alone because of Ryo. (He also wore it when he first gives his contact info to Touma. Which also connects nicely to this episode when Touma does use it the meet up with)
Tumblr media
(funny enough they are both wearing the same outfits too)
obviously for both instances in 2., Momo was not wearing those earrings intentionally in that I don't think he expected to get captured like this. Just that it was an unfortunate coincidence (well played i7)

okay so i talked earlier about ed's masking and how it influences how he doesnt really know who he is, but the few times the mask really slips are usually when he's talking to izzy or stede about being bored
and more than that, i was discussing an earlier comment i'd made, which @treesofgreen picked up on and further commented on, that break up robe!Ed (talent shows, quitting piracy for good etc) shouldn't be his final form because that isn't him either (it is, in fact, as she pointed out, Stede)
but i want to talk about what i think ed's issue is and what his final form might end up being
To begin with, we have a few comments from episode 4. The first is he tells Izzy he's bored of "make a plan, execute the plan, make another plan, execute another plan" and so on, but when he talks to Stede about it later on, he hones in on a separate point all together: the name Blackbeard precedes him. He doesn't have to even be on the ship; someone sees that flag, Blackbeard's flag, and immediately they surrender.
Then, over the course of the next few episodes we watch him run fuckeries and raids, enjoy being a pirate, get turned over to the English etc, and he seems happy. He's having a good time.
Later, when he's on the beach, he says he's happy to be Just Ed, that he gets to figure out what makes him happy, and he says that the last few weeks have been the most fun he's had in years, maybe ever, and he figures that what makes him happy is Stede.
And before you all come and stab me with pointy things, I love these two. Blackbonnet otp all the way, Stede definitely makes Ed happy, Ed loves him, Stede loves Ed etc etc
but.
I don't think it's just Stede that made Ed happy, and I don't think that had they run away together to China that they would have been happy. And I think Ed knows it isn't just Stede that made these past weeks happy for him, else it would've been okay to stay at that base a little longer than one night, folding clothes and whatever else, because they would've been together. He knew that just that alone wasn't it, it wasn't the key. He's just confusing the fun he's had with the love he feels (which makes sense! We all do that).
I think what made him happy, beyond the fact he loves Stede and was enjoying their time together, is the life Stede created around them both. Stede's ship was pathetic and weak and had one good pirate on board before Ed came along, and then Ed came along and they had five good pirates, a captain who knows nothing about sailing, and a crew of ridiculous personalities that somehow work but are definitely not good pirates so far. Stede's crew couldn't fight off the Spanish. Stede's flag doesn't fill the enemy with so much fear they just immediately surrender. Stede's life is exciting and full of random happenstances and not everything is already a given, especially without Izzy there to make plans.
Which leads me to my thesis statement here which is that I think Ed's actual final form should be: co-captaining a pirate ship with Stede, letting go of the Blackbeard mantle to "just be Ed", except Ed gets to be a pirate, and Ed gets the adrenaline rush of raids, and the excitement of planning, without it being a well-oiled machine that always wins.
And yes, that might include Izzy (even the finest honed plan wouldn't be a given with the crew they have), but it definitely involves more games of chance and more possibilities of defeat.
Moreover, Stede ran away from his boring little life to become a pirate a few weeks ago (I really thought the show was quite a few months, but I think it was only a couple?? Somehow we just get full moons every other night (it's "tomorrow" in episode 4, today in episode 5 which must have been a few days later at least because Stede is fully recovered, and then tomorrow again in episode 8, which implies three months) in ofmd land and that's fine). He's hardly going to want to stop doing his dream he's finally achieved and run away to live a boring domestic pauper's life with Ed. Run away with Ed? Sure. Be as happy like that as he was on the ship with him? Ehh. No, I don't think so, at least not right now.
Anyway I think the final form is sailing the high seas, conducting chaotic raids and going to party boats, and swapping out flags every few months so no one ever knows its them.
I just hope the beard comes back.

Liz Walker POV
While training Jim, Liz asked AAARRRGGHH to send Toby home for the night as it was getting late. Toby was reluctant at first, but in the end, he gave in, trusting Liz that she would escort Jim home safely while believing it to be a good time for quality bonding between the two. Unaware of Toby's wiggling eyebrows at Jim as he left with AAARRRGGHH behind her, Liz assures Jim that his best friend would be fine before resuming the rest of their training.
Another hour of training passed with Jim lying on the floor, gasping for breath as the mechanical obstacles receded to the walls and floor of the arena. Liz walked towards Jim's exhausted figure until she stood next to his head, looking down at him. "You okay there, Jim?"
Busy catching his breath, Jim could only offer a nod as his armor and sword evaporated from his form. Seeing that Jim needed a moment to collect himself, Liz sat down beside him. "You did well."
"Thanks," Jim mutters a reply. He was silent for a bit afterward until he spoke again. "I thought I was going to have to figure out how to fight Draal all on my own tomorrow, but I feel better now that I'm prepared."
"Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst," Liz recited by memory, remembering Kanjigar's words from long ago, but in the corner of her eye, she notices Jim frowning to himself, and she knew what he was thinking. The worst possible outcome: death. Hoping to ease his mind, Liz explains. "Don't focus too much on the worst outcome. It would only worsen your fear. Yes, fear heightens the senses and keeps you alive, but it could also keep you from reaching your full potential as the Trollhunter. To become a true Trollhunter, one must also learn to face their fear and rise above it. In every fight you come across, remember this: always be afraid, but be strong and have courage in the face of fear. It's what the last Trollhunter used to say."
Upon hearing her last words, Jim instantly thought of Draal being the son of his late predecessor and sat up with a frown. "This fight – the match between Draal and me – only one of us can live. To survive, I would have to – I don't want to – you know."
"I understand," Liz said, her brows furrowing at the thought of either Jim or Draal meeting their end by each others' hands. She knew Draal would be more than glad to finish the fight. As for Jim, his human morals may be their best chance in keeping both himself and Draal alive to the end, but she could only pray that Jim would have the upper hand to make it work. Hopefully, her last-minute training session will help tip the scales in Jim's favor. "All I can say is that if you ever find yourself in a situation where you have to finish a fight, just remember that true courage is about knowing not when to take a life, but when to spare one."
As Jim absorbed her words, Liz glanced down at her watch, noticing the time. "We should go before It gets too late. You're going to need all the sleep you can get."
Standing up, she pats away the dust from her denim pants, then offers a hand to Jim. "Wouldn't want you falling asleep on your feet during the match, now do we?"
"If I did, I'd probably upset Draal even more." Jim chuckled, grabbing onto her hand. As soon as Liz pulls him up from the dusty ground with a heave, Jim stumbles forward. Quickly, she steadies him, their arms locked on one another as they stand to their full height, only to look up at each other and notice their faces inches apart. Instantly, they let go of each other, stepping back to put some distance between them.
Ignoring the flutter in her belly at the closeness, Liz remains calm and speaks up. "Alright there, champ?"
"Y-Yeah," Jim replies, rubbing the back of his flushed pink neck, chuckling nervously. "Guess you make me weak on the knees."
Liz quirks a brow at that, but a smirk spreads across her lips. "Oh? Is that so?"
Realizing what he said, Jim blushes harder and immediately waves his hands in panic. "No, no. That came out wrong. Sorry, that was – What I meant to say – "
Liz holds up a hand, making Jim pause mid-sentence.
"Say no more. It's been a long night for us and you must be tired, so let's get you home," Liz said before turning around and walking away, leaving Jim flustered than ever. Shaking his head, Jim slaps his cheeks with his palm and jogs after her. "Uh, hey! Wait up!"
Unbeknownst to Jim, Liz, too, was just as flustered as he was.
***
They were silent throughout the entire way to the Lake House until Liz decided to stop her motorbike from going further at the edge of the court road, where the residence stood. "I think this is far as I go. Don't want Barbara noticing me here late at night when I should be at home."
Pausing his bike beside her, Jim leans his foot on the ground as he glances at the brunette. "That's fine, Liz. Um, thanks again for training me tonight and getting me home safe. Though, I wish I were the one to see you home safely instead."
"No problem, Jim. Once you get your training completed, I'll let you take me home anytime." Liz said with a wink, shrugging afterward. "It would save me some gas."
Jim doesn't know whether to laugh or blush, but Liz doesn't notice as she turns her motorbike around to head back. Before she decides to speed off into the night, Liz looks over her shoulder at Jim. "If you happen to have free time, take a look at the Brief Recap book Blinky assigned to you. I know it's quite long, but it will help you in the future, no doubt. And if there's anything in there that you cannot read, use your amulet. Oh, and one more thing...." Liz revved her engine. "We forgot our rehearsal with Ms. Janeth tonight, so be ready to face her wrath when we return to school."
Instantly, Jim's face turned pale, making Liz chuckle.
"Get some sleep, Romeo. I'll see you in the morning."
Jim Lake Jr. POV
After sneaking back into his room, Jim plopped down onto his bed, his eyes gazing towards the ceiling. In his mind, he processes everything from the moment he and his best friend broke into the museum to last-minute training with Liz. Too many things have happened tonight. At first, he had Bular and his match with Draal to worry about. But after tonight, it seems there are more significant problems to deal with: the Killahead Bridge, the changeling, and the possibility of more of them walking among them. He needs to show Blinky proof that what he and his friends claimed is true. If he survives the match first, that is. Jim exhales a long, shaky breath. Guess he better start writing his farewells just in case...
As Jim sat up from bed, muscle aches coursed through his body, making him groan in pain. Slowly, he moves his right arm around, hoping to relieve some tension from his back and shoulders as it reminded him of his last-minute training session. Remembering Liz's words, he felt his anxiety over the match with Draal dim. If it were not for her, he would have been utterly restless by now, and perhaps...maybe, just maybe, he can survive through this.
Then, he also remembers his close proximity with Liz, making Jim flush in embarrassment. Why is he reacting this way? He only met her a few weeks ago, but it feels like he knew her forever. Maybe his past feelings for his lost childhood friend are getting to him. He rapidly shakes his head. No way. I can't do this to Liz. She does not even remember her past or him.
Jim moves over to one side of the bed, his gaze wandering across his bedroom until it zeroed in on a picture frame displayed on his bookshelf. Getting up from the bed, he makes his way toward it. Looking at it closely, he notices the layer of dust disturbed on its glass surface as though someone had picked it up recently. Maybe it was his mom.
Carefully, Jim removes the frame from the shelf, wiping the entire surface to reveal the picture underneath, and his mouth turns into a soft smile. He remembered how this picture was taken. It was the last picture taken of them together before – his smile droops slightly – his father left, and Lizzie and her parents went on their weekend picnic trip, never to be seen again. But now, Lizzie - Liz, he corrected himself - has returned, but she doesn't remember the past.
Jim releases a sad sigh, placing the picture frame back in its original spot. He stood there, staring at the picture for a silent moment, his hands gradually clenched against his sides as a thought came to mind. He should tell her. It's the least he could do. After all, he did promise to help recover her memories.
Then, with a small nod, he heads over to his desk and begins to write his letters.
***
Morning finally came as indistinct voices echo across the Hero's Forge as trolls gather into the arena, their heavy footsteps trembling the ground as they make their way to the enclosed balconies.
Gazing at the crowd from behind a wooden gate, Jim mindlessly fidgets his hands. Hearing the crinkle of paper, he looks down and notices the envelope wrinkled in his hands. Attempting to straighten it, he glances at the name labeled on the front and looks up at its owner a few feet away from him as she stands with arms crossed over her chest, her eyes staring out at the crowd.
Taking a deep breath to calm the nerves, Jim pockets the letter and walks over to Liz. Noticing his approach, she relaxes her arms against her sides and smiles. "Are you ready, Jim?"
Stopping beside her, he shrugs but offers a smile of his own. "Ready as I'll ever be."
She nods. "Just remember everything Blink and I taught you and apply them when you're out there. Draal may have the most fighting experience, but there are some things he lacks."
"Like the amulet?" Jim answered with a small grin. Liz chuckles, rolling her eyes playfully. "Obviously, Trollhunter. What else?"
"Patience? Humility? His sense of—" Jim began listing. Raising a hand, Liz stops him. "Okay, I'll stop you there. Those are correct, but there's one thing that is most important."
"And what is that?" Jim asked her. Then to his surprise, Liz steps closer to him. His breath caught in his throat when she hovers a hand over his chest, where his fast-beating heart lies beneath undetected as she finally answers. "A human heart."
"A...human...heart?" Jim repeated breathlessly. Liz nods, withdrawing her hand from over his chest as Jim suddenly finds himself breathing again.
"Yeah. It is said that a true hero is measured by not the size of his strength but by the strength of his heart. That is why you were chosen, Trollhunter. Not because of your strength, but because of your heart, Jim. That is the difference between you and Draal. That is your key to winning."
Strength of the heart. Jim repeated to himself, absorbing her words. So it wasn't a coincidence. He wasn't chosen because he was there at the right place and time. He was chosen because he has what it takes.
"Exactly." Liz's voice pops in, jarring him from his thoughts as he realizes he spoke them aloud.
"I'm glad to hear that." Jim rubs the back of his flushed neck. "I've been thinking whether or not I have what it takes to win – to be a Trollhunter."
"You do have it. You just have to see it in yourself, as I see in you." A faint blush crosses over her cheeks a second later before she corrects herself, gesturing to the gang behind them, who are busy talking amongst themselves. "I mean as we see in you."
Jim smiles at her flushed reaction, taking solace in her words. "I think I just might."
Liz's turquoise eyes fell from his gaze, hiding behind long dark lashes when something caught her eyes. "What's that?"
He looks down and notices a white corner of an envelope sticking out from his jacket pocket. Taking it out, he straightens out the wrinkles before handing the letter to Liz. "This is for you."
Liz analyzes her name written across the envelope before looking up at Jim. "What is this for?"
"It says everything I want to say and — remember when I said that I would help you recover your memories?" Jim asked. Liz nodded slowly, a look of confusion settling across her beautiful face. He sighs, continuing. "The answers. It's all in there."
Liz blinks, seemingly trying to process his words. "I-I don't understand. The answers? To my memories? How would you –"
"I know it sounds confusing, but just in case I don't make it, at least I wrote what I know," Jim responds, rubbing the back of his neck.
"What you know...." Liz repeated nonchalantly. Jim waited, observing her, feeling the wheels turning in her head as he wondered what could be going through her mind. Did she realize that perhaps he knew her in the past? Does she find him familiar somehow? Is she upset with him for not saying anything to her until now?
"Liz, I – " Jim began.
"Gathered trollkind!" Boomed Vendel from the enclosed balcony above, interrupting him. "The Trollhunter has laid a challenge before the son of his predecessor, and you shall bear witness to the ensuing battle, which will be one for the ages."
The audience applauds loudly across the Hero's Forge, the battle soon in their midst. Jim shudders slightly, then takes a small step backward. "I-I gotta go. I need to give something to Toby."
Before Jim could entirely turn around, he felt a hand grasp onto his wrist, making him pause. Confused, he glances back at Liz, who looks up at him with a determined gaze. "You promised me you'll help me with my memories, and since you said you have the answers, then I'd rather hear it from you personally."
"But Liz, what if I – " Jim started, but Liz raised a hand to stop him. "I believe in you, Jim. You can do this. Just promise me that when you're out there, you will believe in yourself and fight with your heart, okay? Promise, Jim?"
A little girl's voice echoes in his mind. "Promise, Jimmy?"
Not wanting to let her down, Jim nodded with a small smile.
"Promise, Lizzie."

the busy series (e-journal, again)

February 5, 2022
Busy Ep. 1
This probably won't be my last time of using that as a title, so I put an Ep. 1 so I can use it as an excuse to resuse the title. I'm not a fan of adding a title to these entries, but oh well. We're pretty busy with filling out the content plans with student's names for our class project. The project proposal is due on Monday. RIP us.
🚀

✉️
BU is so much work. Like why do I even bother going through all this process? Why do I even bother applying? I'm not even planning to go? As a lot of my friends say: "For clout lang." 🤡

7 days before my funeral
Due on March 18:
JECS Essay Exam
JECS Spoken Word PC
HMSS116 Poster (DONE)
HMSS116 Reaction Paper

Busy Ep. 2
I surprisingly did well with spontaneously interviewing someone for our project, especially that it had been my first time. It wasn't necessarily a comfortable experience but I mostly felt well. I am currently in another meeting and really busy with a lot.
Do not be deceived with the title. This is not just my second time being busy. I just use the title when I can't think of anything else and too busy to write a bunch.
🚀
March 13, 2022
5000 characters in one sitting
I got to write an entire essay in one sitting on a SUNDAY. I don't do stuff on Sundays intentionally. I dedicate Sundays and after-dinners for myself with no school nor org-related stuff to do unless if it's urgent. Since a lot are due next week on Friday, I figured I'd compromise last night and use that time to do one of the major stuff I needed to do. I uhh wasn't able to do that. But hey don't bite my ear off, I compromised Sunday anyways instead and I was able to finish my draft in one afternoon.
🚀
March 14, 2022
Busy Ep. 3
I can't write a lot right now but I'm working on something good!!
🚀
March 16, 2022
Busy Ep. 4
I finished all four major stuff to be submitted on Friday. Seems like I don't have to bury myself six feet below the ground after all.
🚀
March 25, 2022
Busy Ep. 5
I wrote another letter to myself last night, to be opened two years from now. I'm a little busy today prepping for tomorrow and finishing stuff and also attending a meeting and another after this one.
🚀
April 6, 2022
Busy Ep. 6
I remember typing that title yesterday, but something might have came up that got me distracted and I was unable to continue writing. Yesterday (or, well, the date in this entry) was quite a lot. We had to finish our project proposal and brainstorm on specifics so we could submit the proposal for approval in the morning so it wouldn't be pending until the end of the holy week. I was drained out yesterday but our late night call to brainstorm the rest of the stuff was fun and you could hear us either crying or laughing, we weren't sure. We even got to invite really great speakers (ONE OF THEM WHO I'M A FAN OF AND I CAN'T SPILL DETAILS BUT SINCE I BET THERE'S A GOOD CHANCE THAT NOBODY'S GONNA SEE THIS BUT HE WAS IN AHEB THE MUSICAL WOO). This event is a big one. And I hope we'll be able to keep our sanity by the end of it.
🚀

lots on my plate
One more move and I'll be experiencing another major burnout. I still have a PT due tomorrow and ALD and our culminating activity on my plate. I'm gonna take an hour break with an episode of OITNB before I fall apart.
🚀
April 23, 2022
work
We went to the vet this afternoon so work starts a little later than usual. I knew ALD was gonna be heavy but you never really realize just how heavy it is until a few days before the event when you're all in shambles.
🚀
April 24, 2022
prep
I am currently preparing the stuff to be donated for our Community Engagement Outreach.
🚀
April 26, 2022
Busy Ep. 7
It's been a while since I've watched OITNB. I don't even have a minute these days. It's reasonable though, and I kind of expected that. I just didn't expect myself to be mentally all over the place and not as organized as I was in my first project.

Could you do a Loki x reader TVA x Sylvie, Loki knows the reader, but the reader has no memory of Loki other than researching him through his files. After episode 3 (Reader and Loki jump through the portal) Sylvie reveals the TVA agents are variants to Loki now it makes sense. Loki and Sylvie use their magic combined to make the reader remember.
Remind Me - Loki Laufeyson x Reader
Tumblr media
...
Loki misses you.
Impossible, of course, because you're right there - near to him, within arms' reach, at all times.
You're right there.
Doesn't matter, though. Your personality remained the same, from when he knew you, but all your memories are now...
Gone.
Irreplaceably gone.
You give him such a funny look sometimes, he wonders if he should even mention it to you any more. You won't believe him.
He is the God of lies, after all. It wouldn't be so surprising for him to lie to you.
And such lies - that you were truly the Goddess of Beauty, someone he'd known on Asgard. Loki couldn't have cooked up a more unbelievable lie if he'd tried, and here he was, trying to convince you it could only be the truth.
You didn't believe him, of course. A TVA Agent like yourself - well, you'd gotten pretty used to hearing crazy things like that.
“...No.”
“Oh, come on. I haven’t even said anything yet.”
You rolled your eyes.
“I know what you’re about to say, ‘Oki-”
You’d gotten used to calling him that. He wasn’t totally sure if you knew his name had an ‘L’ in front of it, or if it was just your little nickname for him.
Secretly, he hoped for the latter.
“And it’s not true, okay? So stop... so stop acting like you care about me, when you don’t. And you’re gonna betray me - the second you get a chance.”
Loki opens his mouth to try again, but a look from you silences him.
He’ll try again tomorrow.
...
Mobius was going to kill you.
He’d threatened it before, always jokingly - but this time, you were sure. You’d followed Loki and the Variant through the portal, landed on Lamentis.
Now, the three of you were strolling toward a spacecraft with no reason to believe you’d survive, and Loki was seeming less crazy by the minute.
“That young soldier from the TVA,” said Sylvie - the Variant’s name. “Her mind was messed up. Everything clouded. I had to pull a memory from hundreds of years prior, before she even fought for them-”
“What?” stated Loki. “What’d you just say? Before she joined the TVA?”
He cast a confused glance to you.
“Yeah. She was just a regular person on Earth.”
“A regular person?”
“Loved margaritas.”
“I was told that everyone who works for the TVA was created by the Time-Keepers.”
“That’s ridiculous,” said Sylvie. “They’re all Variants, just like us.”
“...What?”
Sylvie looks at you funny.
“They’re Variants. You are, too.”
You feel suddenly lightheaded, and Loki places his arm on your back, steadying you.
“Is there... is there a way we can bring the memories back, permanently?” Loki asks.
“Maybe through enchantment. Want me to try?”
You nod, breathlessly, and Sylvie and Loki both place their hands on your forehead.
You see... everything.
Life on Asgard.
A life with Loki.
It’s too much, and you begin to sob, quietly, as Loki holds you.
“I’m sorry, you were right-”
“It’s okay. We’re together now. It’s okay.”

downright going to be the most classic one. he'd bring you over for a christmas dinner, his mum and dad looking at you quizzically and you swear to god it was the most raveling moment ever in your whole life. the fear, the anxiety and the pain of being rejected by his parents weighs far too much in your head. however, chan would hold your hand, rub small circles at the junction between your thumb and your other fingers and tell his parents that you're his bestfriend, his lover, the one he loves in the present and hopefully for a long time. that he wants to spend his christmas with every single human being that he loves under the same roof. it is only after this that his parents calm down, cheer up and are overjoyed that their son has found someone to be with — to share his happiness and sadness with. will go down in your history as one of the best christsmases you have shared.
𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐇𝐎
here to spread the college boyfriend!minho agenda. this was off this ad that i saw the other day and idek why i found it cute but it was dead cute and i knew that's definitely minho. 100%. so you're over at his lodging room in college in his shirt — minho swears to god he finds you the cutest in his shirts — watching this romcom on netflix on his laptop. you're cuddled up against him on his bed and minho's kissing your cheeks occasionally when you're too engrossed into the movie, making sure he gets the gasp and the chuckle exactly from you. and all was going well till he gets a video call notification from his mother and he's scrambling up from his bed, angling the mirror away from you as he answers, "hi, mom." his mother would ask of him to show his new room, something he was supposed to do earlier and he sighs, "can we do this tomorrow? it's late and i have this assignment to do?" but his mother wouldn't have it any other way and insists — determination running through their family veins evidently. and here you are, scrambling around his room everytime he moves to show his room to his mum, just to avoid the camera. until you can sit back on the bed and minho's rushing to end the conversation, "can i please go do my assignments now, mum?" you know you're royally fucked when minho's mother laughs, only to ask her son, "does your assignment wear your shirts now? you should introduce them to me."
𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐁𝐈𝐍
changbin's whole family knows you already. in fact, if anything, it was his sister that forced him to finally ask you out because he has been crushing on you forever. the following events happen in this particular order: you're the cute cashier at his favorite drink place and if college has taught him one thing, it is never to miss out on an opportunity and he knows he must ask you out. his sister is with him and finds him all awe eyed at you and she knows. she also knows that her brother is a wimp and won't ask you out so she nags him over throwing litter all over in his room if he doesn't. changbin thinks it's the extra push he needed and he does ask you out while paying his bill — a mere, "uhm, i think you're cute. if you happen to have some, uh, free time this saturday evening, we could go watch a movie or something. oh, i mean, of course, if only you're free and if you haven't watched the movie and like everyone seems to be busy and you're just so so pretty i ha—" changbin still remembers the way you giggled, the way you held your chest and the way you smiled and nodded. changbin's family knows that very evening because siblings are snitches deep down and his sister yells as soon as she enters the home, even before she has taken her shoes off — "listen, listen! our changbinnie grew up. guess who has a lover, guess who, guess who!" all changbin could yell back was, "they are prettier than you and nicer than you!" and stick his tongue out. needless to say, changbin was found picking scrap paper off his room's floor at 2am.
𝐇𝐘𝐔𝐍𝐉𝐈𝐍
lowkey his parents are suspicious of you and think you're not a great person and this is another episode of hwang hyunjin getting overly attached and loving another human. you can't blame them. experiences make parents cautious and when all of hwang hyunjin's relationship has ended him with an aching heart, you know you'd be suspicious of the next person he brings home too. he brings you home for dinner and his parents were definitely not expecting another member. it starts with frigid stares and hard, short answers and hyunjin has to hold your hand to stop you from crying because you feel like you lost your chance even before you had it. that is till, hyunjin speaks up, "mum, dad. i love them. and i know you guys are doing this because you fear they're going to break my heart—" "i wouldn't," you mumble, "you're going to break mine if this ends." and hyunjin chuckles, kissing your cheek before his parents. he turns to them and repeats the same, "i love them. so much and i hope you can accept them and not pin all my bad experiences on them. please." it takes a few more meetings for his parents to warm up to you but it happens slowly over the time, till — you're now spending every other weekend with his mum to bake cakes.
𝐉𝐈𝐒𝐔𝐍𝐆
so jisung, as much as he needs the caring and loving, is an eccentric man. he's so eccentric you're so sure you fell for him because of that, because of how he manages to make you always smile. so eccentric that he had a whole ppt presentation on why everyone should be like you. and this stupid boyfriend who is oh so in love shows this before his parents to announce how he's dating you. it's like a one slide presentation. he's planned it all out for days. he'll bring you over in the guise of being a friend and then surprise his parents after dinner by turning this great one slide presentation on. it'll have a picture of you on the side and points in bullets to the left — of how you're pretty, of how you're funny, how you make him want to be a better person, how he wants to continue going to the orphanage to help every sunday with you, how he wants to give you his world. how you're the nicest person he knows. your parents are smiling and they know. they know even before the announcement that you're his lover and better half and you make him happy and so does he. and courtesy of jisung's great brain, the animations rotate and land and the last two lines are so big that you blush and are embarrassed but god fucking help you, you're so in love with him that this makes your heart race. "be like y/n. be my lover," races into the screen and you think the animations makes it even more quirkier than it already is. until his mother makes everyone laugh even more by asking, "are you asking us all out, sungie? doubt they would like that."
𝐅𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐗
another one of the classic introduction types. felix asks you if it's alright for him to finally introduce you to his family and you nod, heart fluttering because you know for sure this is a huge step. upon much consideration, you agree to go for dinner with his parents at his place the following weekend. you're asking him over the week if this dress was alright or if you should go for formals and as much as he reassures you that it's not a huge deal — it is a huge deal to you. you want his parents to know how serious you are of him. you even being a gift home that night and bake some muffins and his mother is just really impressed (if she wasn't already flustered by all the stuff you brought). and when you know you have warned up enough to them, you know his mother is going to show the embarassing pictures just to fluster her son and it works. you do spend some good hours with his parents — his dad giving you a thumbs up to be new fashioned as you leave and his mum waving you good bye — and it is only after this you sigh in relief, tension off your shoulders. you've left a good impression and felix knows this too as he kisses you in his car.
𝐒𝐄𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐌𝐈𝐍
seungmin is the softest boyfriend ever. i mean seriously, if the whole world already didn't know the two of you were dating would be a surprise — it's the pretty bracelets you wear, the matching hoodies found in your closets or how you're just always in his blue hoodie. always. and so when seungmin is rushing you, two weeks into official dating for you to meet his parents, you're wide eyed. all he has to say is, "i'll be going to marry you either way. why wait till the day before marriage to show you off to my parents also." and he'd be so thrilled. seungmin's mum is enthralled because he is enthralled. he is so excited to tell his parents about you and about how you're his lover. his to show off. his to love. for years to comes. and you're blushing in front of his parents, ears heated up at the term. seungmin's dad jokingly pats his son's back, laughing, "have you grown up already to bring someone home?" and he nods, smiling like the dork you fell in love with. his mother rushes to sit you down by the table, ready to take care of you and you realise — seungmin's family will always be as accepting as he is. the fruit doesn't fall that far away from the tree, after all.
𝐉𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐈𝐍
trust me, he's the reckless kind. he'll care for you, love for you and be there for you but he's so bad with dates and timings and everything that mistakes like this were bound to happen at one point. he's shifted to his own place and jeongin is so excited that he calls you over — "y/n, you must come here. even the bed is warm." and you know what that meant. the bane of every mankind's downfall and every civilization's achilles' hill. that is exactly how you ended up next to jeongin, his hands cupping your face and him kissing you like he has all the time in the world now that he has his own place. until the two of you hear the door click and jeongin pulls back, swearing and in panic. you hold his shoulder in worry and he's telling you that his parents were supposed to come over, today. that he didn't know it would be this early, however. and the only thing his oh-so-bright brain could come up with in that moment is to shove you and himself into the small closet till his parents leave. and even if it meant a few sweaty minutes in the closets in each other's warmth, moans and giggles in the air albeit the warning of silence, and jeongin kissing you in places the heavens shouldn't know, you'll happily brace it all for him. the two of you come out of the closet only after you hear the door shut again. the two of you walk down carefully to see if his parents are away, only to find a small yellow post it note stuck on the fridge — you should have told us you had someone over. you bury your face into his shoulders in embarassment as you ask, "they heard, didn't they?" he chuckles, "probably. we'll get you to officially meet then soon. my mum loves pies and you bake the best ones. she'll fall for you like i did. instantly."

Every moment spent with you is precious
Summary:
Loki takes Mobius on a vacation for two. Mobius is not at the end of his surprises.
Day 20 : Traveling
Notes:
Alert! Fluff overdose on the horizon!

Tumblr media
Loki stood by the window, watching the snowfall heavily outside. He had surprised Mobius, an early Christmas present for him. After all they had been through, he had thought that an impromptu vacation would do them good. A few special moments just for the two of them, far from everything.
With the help of his mother, he had organized everything. The mountains of Asgard under the snow were as beautiful as the most beautiful midgardian mountain ranges. His mother's magic combined with his own had worked wonders and they were now in a lovely little cottage, perfect for a dream vacation.
Loki had spent time in these mountains before, sometimes with Thor and his friends, later alone, and now he was there with the love of his life.
He remembered with delight the day he had announced this surprise getaway to Mobius. Of his incredulous, surprised and finally happy expression.
A slow smile began to form on his lips. He couldn't help it. Like every time he thought about Mobius.
Loki was going to enjoy every moment with Mobius. Time was ephemeral, and no one knew what tomorrow would bring. Anyone could die at any moment. This is something he, like Mobius, had experienced cruelly.
This thought disappeared as quickly as it had come. He had too many reasons to be happy right now. He had someone to share this life with now. The smile that graced his lips grew wider as he thought about everything that had happened since they first met.
Loki had been afraid that the Sylvie episode would be detrimental to their relationship, but fortunately it hadn't been.
They had almost lost each other, but it had also been a blessing, because after those events he had confessed his feelings to the man who had found his way into his heart. Loki still had to pinch himself sometimes to make sure it was all real.
Loki snapped out of his reverie as he heard his voice, then felt Mobius' arms around his waist and his head against his back.
"A penny for your thoughts?"
"I was just reminiscing about our first meeting and how our relationship has evolved so far," he replied, then his hands found Mobius' and their fingers intertwined.
"In a disturbing way, I think I should be grateful to you for stealing the tesseract," Mobius whispered in his ear.
Loki didn't answer and turned in Mobius' arms to face him.He took his head from between his hands.
"I love you, Mobius, so much it hurts sometimes."
"I love you too, Loki. More than I ever thought possible."
They had declared their love to each other more than once, but the situation, this moment just for them, lent itself to renewed oaths.
Loki lowered his head and pecked Mobius's lips a few times then pulled back to look at him with a tender expression on his face, his green eyes sparkling with mischief. Mobius couldn't help but smile, wondering what idea had crossed Loki's mind.
Loki looked like a twelve year old about to do something his parents had forbidden him to do.
"Come with me," he said suddenly.
"What?"
"Come with me," he repeated, taking his hand and pulling him along.
Loki took his coat and sent Mobius's toward him, handing him his cap and gloves.
"Loki, what the hell?"
"Do you trust me?"
"You know I do, Sweetheart, always."
Loki kissed him again before grabbing a scarf and blindfolding him.
"Loki?"
Loki whispered in his ear, "I have a surprise for you."
Holding Mobius by the hand, he gently guided him so he wouldn't stumble in the snow. Then they stopped.
"Merry Christmas in advance my love." whispered Loki to him while slipping something small and cold in his hand.
Then he untied the scarf and Mobius opened his eyes.
In front of him was a snowmobile and in his hand was a small key.He turned his head in surprise to Loki who said, "We haven't had a chance to make your real dream come true yet, but until then..."
"Wow..." Loki looked fondly at Mobius, who walked around the engine, running his hands over it reverently.
He turned to Loki and asked, stars in his eyes, "Now?"
Loki made that oh-so-familiar gesture of spreading his hands from his body, a big smile on his face and Mobius climbed onto the snowmobile then turned to Loki and gestured, "Are you coming with me?"
Loki shook his head, "It's your dream, I don't want to spoil it."
It was Mobius' turn to shake his head, " Idiot, it would be spoiling my fun if you didn't come." He patted the space behind him and added, "Come on, get on."
Loki straddled the scooter, tied his arms around Mobius' waist and then rested his cheek against his back.
Mobius grabbed one of his gloved hands and kissed it then said softly, "Thank you."
Loki tightened his embrace and did not respond.
Then Mobius ignited the engine and started to drive.
It took him only a few minutes to get the hang of it and a few moments later they were speeding down the snowy slopes of the Asgard mountains which echoed with their shouts and laughter.

As always, bear with me as it is not beta'd and english is not my native language. I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless🥰

Jon Kent Imagine/Preference CW Lois and Clark
Comforting Jon when he's upset about Eliza
Tumblr media
GIF CREDIT
Sorry about the lack of posts! I really want to branch out. I have some writers block. This has some angst and fluff. Hope you like it. I really feel in love with Jon seeing how he takes care of Jordan and wanted to write something for him.
Warning: Spoiler if you haven't seen the second to last or last episode I think.
You and Jonathan aren't close enough as friends just yet, but it's really natural and nice between you two. These days you could say he was your closest friend and you his. You were looking forward to the talk about the carnival with Jonathan as you knew it was his first. As you saw him at his locker, you basically skipped over to him and spoke in an upbeat tone; however you only got his name in before he slammed his locker shut. He had a clenched jaw and told you, “I can’t talk now, Y/N.” Then, he quickly walked off before you had the chance to say much else. Yu stare off toward him with a frown. You had to wonder what was making him so upset. He’d been so nice and kind. This reaction was new to you. You spent the day thinking about it and keeping your distance after trying one more time to get close, of course; however, he got away once more.
Later that day, you were dropping off some stuff for the Harvest Festival, which led to you seeing Lois and Clark. You walked up to the pair of Kents and greeted them. They replied in kind with a bit more enthusiasm than you. You’d only really had two interactions previously, but they were both enjoyable. You commented on some of the items they brought in interest before finding yourself blurting out and regretting what was really on your mind. Those words were, “I’m sorry to bother you and be so forward...not sure this is my place, but I was wondering if either of you knew how Jonathan was doing? Is-is he okay?” They both meet eyes. Lois walks up a bit and grabs your arm comfortingly and replies, “It’s oh so very sweet of you to ask. Been giving you the cold shoulder?” You nod. “Don’t worry too much about that. He’s dealing as best he can.”
“Oh, okay. Sorry to ask. I was just worried all day about it. I know my feelings aren’t really the thing to think about. He's the one to worry about, but anyway...Yeah...it-” Clark interrupts to say, “We we understand you're just worried. It's completely fine.” and adds an understanding smile.
“Right. Well, Have a nice day.” You start to walk off when Lois yells, “Wait!” You turn toward her and she states, “Are you going by the carnival? What am I saying? Of course you are. If you live in Smallville, it’s a requirement. Anyway, Jonathan might be up to seeing you then.” You nod, and Clark adds, “I wouldn't worry too much about you and Jonathan. You guys seem really close, and we’re glad he has you in his corner.” You smile at the comment, and you reply, “I’m glad to be there too.” You walk away quickly.
You next saw Jonathan on the night of the Festival carnival. You weren’t actively planning on seeing him since you wanted to give him space, but you couldn't help yourself after you noticed his drunk state. You walked up to him and his football buddies, Timmy and Corey.
“Hey Jonathan.” You said simply, and he smiled before screaming out, “Hey!”
“What are you up to?”
“Just some hanging out. Oh!” He smacks his head lightly with the palm of his hand, which makes your eyes go wide. “Where are my manners?” You aren’t sure what he’s referring to until he harshly and quickly pulls out the flask from his pocket and holds it out to you.
“No thank you.” You tell him, and he insists with his hand. “Really. I’d rather not.” You push his hand away with yours. It seems to make him a little upset, so he says, “Well, we’re going to get a better look at the place, see you.” and stumbles a little over what seems to be only a little bit of hay on the ground. You use both hands to grab onto his arm and softly say, “Jonathan…”
“I’m fine.” He smiles and tries to walk off again, but you hold your grip and urge, “I think you should take a seat. I’ll get you some wat-”
“Why don’t you just leave me alone?”
“I don’t want to leave you alone.” He scoffs and laughs in a undermining wat before pulling his arm away from and expresses, “Yeah. I got that. You’re always clinging to me!”
“Clinging?”
“I said it. Always around me.”
“Well, we’re friend so-”
“An annoying one at that.” He laughs.
“Why are you being like this?” He nods to his buddies to walk off and they do; Jonathan goes off and says, “I hate it here. Nothing is going right. I have nothing left for me here. Wish I could just leave!”
“You have nothing here?”
“That’s right!”
“What have I been doing around you for the past couple of weeks then? I thought we were friends...A pretty decent refreshment from everything and everyone around here, but you can’t even stand it here? Wow I’ve never felt so stupid in my life. I mean I misread all of our interactions. Guess we just wasted each other's time then. Don’t worry you don’t need to pretend or whatever it was you were doing with me anymore. I’ll leave y0ou be-”
“Come on, that not what I-”
“I think you did.” Starts walking away. He tries to chase after, but it’s futile in his drunk state as he trips and falls into a stack of hay. You look over wanting to help. After seeing Jordan though, you give yourself the chance to walk away.
“Y/N!” You hear him call, yet you keep walking.
Jordan sits Jonathan down and asks, “I left you alone for 5 seconds to get water for you. What was up with that?”
“I think I just ruined the one relationship I can actually bare in this town…” He looks down defeated.
“Y/n is reasonable, just talk to them tomorrow and apologize.”
“How could I be such an idiot?”
“Heartbreak does crazy things…” Scoffs a bit. “Yeah, like you’d know.”
“Shut up.” Jordan smiled and shoved him lightly, which almost knocked Jonathan over.
“Woah! Really gonna use the strength on me when I’m most vulnerable.”
“Sorry, don’t know my own strength.”
“It’s cool…”
After calling the cab share, they make their way to the entrance of the carnival, and they see you as you wait for someone to pick you up. Jonathan stares at you guilty until you feel someone burning their gaze into you. You turn and meet his eyes, and you snap your head forward again. You just wanted to go home and not think about the cruel and unexpected words. He sighs and walks over to you, which left Jordan far from you two. He sits down next to you and quietly says, “Y/N…”
“Jonathan please…” You crumple your clothes.
“I am really sorry about what I said…”
“If it was true, I’d rather you not apologize. I’d prefer the truth even if you gave it to me, painfully.”
“I didn’t mean i-Well, I meant most of it...I wasn’t thinking. While, yeah, I hate it here, I don’t hate you.” Nudges you with his arm like he’ll hold your hand and says, “You're the only thing I like about this place…”
“As you should, I’ve been an awesome friend.” You both laugh.
“Can’t argue with that. That being said, I haven’t been the best, especially the last day or two-”
“Well, I can get wanting distance for the most sort after whatever happened to you, but-”
“Eliza broke up with me, and it shouldn't be an excuse for what I said to you…”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
“I know...She just-I don’t get it. I mean I didn’t even see it coming...I can get the distance to be too much, but why now...I just hate it...”
“Things haven’t been easy for you here.”
“Way to state the obvious.”
“Shut up, I mean everything was great where you lived before right?”
“Yeah basically.”
“Eliza was just the last piece of that place. I think that’s what makes this harder for you” eyes go wide. “I-I don’t mean to tell you how you feel! Just-” Puts his hand to your arm.
“I know.” Comforting smile. Small falters and nods. ”What you said makes a lot of sense actually...”
“Sorry.”
“Don’t be.”
“Anyway, I should get home before my parents get more upset at me for tonight.”
“Right. Right.” Both stand. “Good Night.” You wave to him slightly.
“Good Night.” He pulls you into a firm and warm hug and says, “Any thank you.” He let's go and you nod at him a little awkward. He smiles at you and waves before heading into the car.
Hope your day got better!

Maybe you should've disagreed on the 10th time or maybe the 8th or 11th?
Honestly, there was no stopping the couple of the year.
"She didn't really say yes at first but with a little push of love she finally did." Kuroo comments, a drink in hand as you smiled against his side, with his arm around you.
"Please, I didn't need a push. I was too in love with the dumbass to say no." Your relatives practically awe at your comment while Kuroo kisses the top of your head, as you smile to sell the deal.
"What are you guys planning on after you graduate? I hope you two continue to stay like this." One of your relatives says as you both recall the plan.
"Moving in doesn't sound so bad, right babe?" He asks you while you sip your drink, feeling his hand slide down to your waist while they cheer at his dialogue.
"I wish young love looked like this when I had it!"
"Y/N is so lucky!"
"Tetsu is the best man for Y/N!"
Sighing with pain to your gums, you spoke.
"Excuse me, I'm just going to refill my drink. Coming babe?"
"Of course, bub." He says before excusing himself as well, while he walks away, his hand loses contact with your waist knowing there wasn't a sight of anyone else in the kitchen apart from you and him.
And cut.
"I thought our fourth line was that we would take things slow—what you said was literally our fifth line, Tetsu. It's too early." You say as you actually refilled your cup as Kuroo sighs but he smiles, leaning on the wall looking at you.
"Well might as well go all out, I'm not an actor for nothing, babe." You sigh as you drank as Kuroo pats your hair, after a sip, you let out a chuckle.
"Actually, their reactions were everything." You say as Kuroo smiles before setting down the cup on the table.
"Did you see your grandmother? She's going to beg you to wear her wedding dress now." He jokes while you shake your head, denying the offer.
You introduced your relatives to him last year, he was thankful that you trusted him this well to get this far in your family. You hated how they fell into this little trap of yours but it was still entertaining to see them act like this, even if guilt trailed alongside it.
"Seriously, do we go over line 5 now?" You asked with a slight smirk as Kuroo intertwined his hands with yours, with the other ready to open the door.
"We'll see how our audience reacts first, babe."
-
"You did not— you guys are taking this too far. How are you feeling?" Yaku asks through the phone as you bit down on your finger as you tried to come up with another excuse to why you keep allowing yourself in this position.
"I'm fine Yaku seriously! Me and Kuroo are staying at this hotel because of the whole family event earlier." You ran a hand through your hair, feeling the stress set in that you were actually sleeping in the same room as him.
This faux relationship has never led to this point. Kuroo has asked you for permission in case he were to kiss your cheek, hand, or forehead and you allowed yourself every time because this is what you got yourself into in the first place.
You agreed because it didn't bring your heart leaps of excitement—not even a sight of a butterfly in your system.
No matter how many times he's held your hand or planted a kiss on your temple, it didn't feel like Cupids touch— the arrows of love purposely hitting you in the wrong places. You initially thought that it was actually risky, to find yourself falling sooner than expected but a year into this 'relationship' you actually enjoyed the experience without having your heart miss a beat because of it all.
Your bond with Kuroo can only be described by the words bickering and platonic. Because of the way you interact with each other and how you constantly visit each others places, everyone could see where this friendship could end up so you took this advantage just for people to avoid the both of you which turns out to be the opposite, now everyone wanted to dig themselves in the news that you actually got together.
"Y/N- Kuroo please explain your work here on the table." You had your experiment carefully in your hands as Kuroo guides you to the table as you went on with your explanation. The teacher was well impressed with the two of you with how prepared you are, you can thank Kuroo for that and your ability to act like you've got your shit together.
"This is why we-" You two said it in sync making the two of you stare at each other as Kuroo chuckles continuing the explanation while you were left to stay silent with the glares from the girls who admired him—and the boys who liked you sent their threats to Kuroo just by glancing at him.
"Thank you, good job you two. I see that chemistry suits the both of you." Your teacher comments and as you walked away you rolled your eyes, disgusted at the corny joke.
"It's working too well actually."
Someone shut him up. You think as you felt the urge to give him a punch to shoulder. Kuroo was dragging more attention to the two of you and you hated it. You knew they were all jokes from your classmates but Kuroo kept feeding and responding to these claims, now you were the center of curiosity.
"Tetsu, I will shove a foot down your throat." You threatened when you were back to your chairs he shrugged making you more irritated.
"It shut them up didn't they? Let's fake it instead." He suggests, now making you slap his arm but his smirk remained on his lips.
"Dumbass, we'd be surrounded with questions and attention- I hate this idea already."
"What about the free couple food and drinks at the mall? You don't wanna experience that?"
"You are not using that card on me, Tetsurou." You said pouting as your chemistry teacher sends a suspicious eye to the both of you, also signalling for you two to stay quiet.
"I know you and you know me well enough that this isn't gonna lead into an actual relationship plus my dad has been bugging me about a girlfriend for weeks." You sigh as Kuroo extends his hand to you, to finalize this outrageous deal.
Looking at where you are now, you wouldn't have it any other way even if it was odd to fake date your best friend. You wouldn't agree if you didn't trust Kuroo to an extent. He would never do anything that makes you uncomfortable, he dragged you into this so he was always careful with his actions. It was always your feelings before his even if his jokes didn't show it.
Kuroo enters the room with a yawn just as you ended the call with Yaku. You patted the space next to you as he plops down on the bed, his head on your lap as you ran your hair through his dark locks.
"Is my boyfriend exhausted from the attention?" You asked him with a giggle as he closes his eyes, in a trance at your fingers doing him magic as you continued.
"Isn't that the girlfriends job to comfort me?" He says, making you smile. There really wasn't any meaning to his words, you were glad that the two of you were sure that everything is a joke. If not, then maybe you two are absolutely fucked.
"Is it okay for you to sleep here? I can always drive us home if you want." You shake your head no as you leaned your back in the soft pillow, relaxing a bit.
" 'S fine, Tetsu. Looks like we're gonna have to sleep here for a while huh?" He sighs before sitting up and leaning on a pillow as well before planting his head on your shoulder, his hand comfortably resting on your knee. It was a habit he had whenever he comforted you in your sorrow but it grew when he does it under the table when you sat next to each other.
Kuroo denies that he's doing this because he just wants to feel close to you. He may be in a sea of people but if he holds onto you, he forgets them in a second. There's always a possibility for him to feel lonely in a crowd but this feeling washes away when he has a chance to feel you around him.
"Tell me if somethings wrong yeah?" He says softly as you nod and he leans to your body more, feeling drowsy at the warmth you gave.
"I do find you annoying, that's a problem right there." You joke as he rolls his eyes and pulling away from you and transferring to the right side of the bed.
"Good night then." He says stubbornly, covering his ears with the pillow while you laugh before going to the right side and drowning in the blankets.
"Night, Kuroo." You bid him as you turn off the lights.
-
The next morning you really wished you didn't give in to him.
Tangled in each others arms, the blankets scattered everywhere as Kuroo was snuggled into your neck when you woke up. It's difficult to move without worrying about him waking up, so you had to move little by little. First, you slowly remove his arm that was on your waist. Second, you tried to rest his head on the pillow instead of you. Third, you scurry away from him successfully.
All of these were disregarded when he pulls you back into his arms, mumbling something while you mentally groan. Kuroos fingers continued to gaze itself on your skin while you sighed, accepting it as it is.
"Tetsu-"
"Five minutes." He whispers not minding the state he's in. He moves away from you when he realizes the sleepiness in him has faded. He stretches, making you stand up and fix your appreance. He sits up after a few seconds and you turn to look at him and his bed hair which never fails to make you laugh.
"I don't allow bullying this early." He says as he throws on a proper shirt. You decided to fix the bed while he brushes his teeth.
"Tonight's the party right?" You asked him as he nods before spitting out the residue of the toothpaste. You went through your bag plotting out the outfits you could wear later. The event was a wedding week of your relatives and it was also an opportunity to set out your weekly episode of a relationship.
It's currently Saturday and the wedding is tomorrow. Tonight was basically a party for both sides of the family. One for the bride and one for the groom. You gave Kuroo a fair warning about their traits when they were drunk but you guys are third years—you've seen how people acted when they were intoxicated.
"Should we just drop line 6?" He jokes, making you throw a pillow directly to his face.
Let's do a role call on these lines.
Line 1 was the backstory of your lovestory. Silly as it may come to others, all these excellent lies were planned beforehand. Each and every one of them. To the date where you confessed, to the exact details on each memory, to the date you officially started dating and of course it included the story that Kuroo has told one too many times already, like a script he remembers with no trace of mistake.
Line 2 were the filler memories. Random come ups of dates and embarrassing stories to grab their attentions in each gathering. Though, this line is the most truthful then the rest. Some of these stories are actually true to life but those that are too romantically disgusting? You can thank your imaginations for that.
Line 3 is the talk of seriousness. Love has actually blossomed by then. It consisted of stories of who said "I love you" first and who actually fell first in the relationship. Mentions of what moment made them realize how in love you were and precious memories that could make everyone long for a companion like yours.
Line 4 is fake maturity at its finest. Why not look like the perfect couple there is to exist? This was sort of a pit stop in your 'relationship'. This is where Kuroo narrows down the pace of you two by throwing some lines like "We're too young to decide for something that big." And "We never know what happens in the future."
Line 5 is moving in with each other. God, you even looked for proper apartments just so you don't mess up a question. You were graduating after all so it was inescapable to talk about your upcoming plans together.
Line 6 shouldn't be used. That's talks of marriage and god— adulting. You two inserted this line as a mere joke knowing once you've gone through college, all these lines would simply disappear because they could never ask about you two anymore. If parents loved something about couples, it's the talk of marriage. Luckily, you and Kuroo hate the topic and simply agreed that this should be avoided at all costs.
"Never." You say as he hands you the pillow you threw before setting it back on the bed. You share a look to each other while you head out of your room to meet with his family.
Hours later, you got distracted in the sensation of his hands intertwined with yours.
Kuroo has subconsciously done it again. Underneath the table, swiping his thumb on the palm of your hand while his expression doesn't even show the slightest bit of interest in what he's doing below. Occasionally, Kuroo would send you a text on how boring the conversation was going so you'd bring up a topic for the both of you.
"You ok?" He asks while you smile at him before leaning your head on his shoulder, suddenly exhausted with wondering about him.
"I'm fine, babe." You say while he forgets the noise in the background. The nickname slipping of your lips so easily, even when you didn't need to call him that.
"Wanna go back to our room?" That was what you wanted anyway but was it rude to walk out of gatherings like this?
"Is that fine with you?" You asked looking up to meet his eyes.
"As long as your okay." He says, making your heart give out a pocket of panic.
You stood up with him following behind you. He was genuinely concerned with you so he catches up to you, slinging his arm around your shoulder bringing you close to him.
"Thanks, Tetsu." You bid him as he opens the door for you. You lied down on the bed as Kuroo sits beside you.
"You sure you're okay? I can tell them that you can't attend the party if you're sick."
"I just got really bored and distracted back there. I'm sorry if I made you worry." Kuroo flicks your forehead with his finger making you say "ow."
"Stop saying sorry, dumbass. You're my priority either way."
Stop. No. Never, remember? You think to yourself.
"Is it because I'm your 'girl?' "
"You've always been my girl, what are you talking about?" He says raising an eyebrow at you while you hit him with a pillow, confused to why your cheeks became warm at his statement.
"Oi, what was that for!" He says before throwing a pillow at you as an act of revenge. Still flushed from earlier, you threw another pillow at him. You couldn't even respond to him without telling your heart to calm down.
"You know what? Let's just watch a movie to pass some time." You suggested taking your laptop while Kuroo stares at you, bewildered at how swift your mood changes.
"Women confuse me. Especially you, god- you remind me of Bokuto. Now scooch over, lady."
-
I really am lucky.
Kuroo thinks to himself while he watches you twirl around the mirror for the 5th time just to temporarily assure your insecurities.
Your outfit fits you like a glove. Hugging every curve of your body, the fabric decorating you with its design. Shades of dark colors on your eyes and a tempting lip color that drives Kuroo insane with this new found thought.
"Before you can ask me, you look amazing Y/N- I don't think that's enough to describe how you look tonight." He says, almost out of breath. You quickly get flustered, turning to notice his outfit. Eyes daring up and down, taking in every bit of the stunning middle blocker.
"Hopefully I can remind you that my eyes are up here." He takes a step towards you, inches away from your nose as he studies your appearance. You just stand out, like a star blinding him. Dangerous as it is, he stares the longest at your lips.
"Y/N? Honey, our ride is here! Tell Kuroo that the guys are looking for him as well!" Your aunt shouts making Kuroo step back, not wanting a problem to surface upon the deal.
"We can meet here at 10pm if you ever feel bored okay?" You nod at him as he places a kiss on your forehead.
"Noted." You said smiling at him, you honestly forgot to thank him for the compliment but the way your eyes danced around him gave him an answer already.
"I'll see you in a bit."
-
Kuroo feels the need to step out of this party. It wasn't like he didn't enjoy the stories of your uncles but this wasn't a circle he could fit into. Sure, the karaoke was humourous to watch but there was a need for him to be alone with you instead.
So, he dials your phone.
"Kuroo? What is it?" You asked him, escaping the noise of your aunties laughing as you went to the balcony.
"Just checking in on you, you good?"
"Is this a signal that you wanna leave babe?" You said chuckling, Kuroo smiles while he stands up to meet with your relatives to bid them goodbye.
"Sadly, yes and you?"
"I'll be there."
Few minutes passed as Kuroo got to your location. He couldn't allow you to commute when you looked that stunning, he was there to keep you safe at all times so you spent your time with silence in a cab back to the hotel. Kuroo didn't wanna talk about the party because he felt too drained to do it.
He takes his jacket and places it on your shoulders while you pull them closer to your body.
You two were seated on the bed while Kuroo removes your heels and setting them on the floor next to your other pairs of shoes. After removing them, you travel to the kitchen and sit on the sink as you drank water. Kuroo follows you with him beside you, leaning on it.
Why is it so quiet? You wondered.
Usually, Kuroo would make remarks or just bring up a conversation with you but you two just sat there with thoughts lingering around each other. While you set down the glass, Kuroo sets himself between your legs making your eyes widen while he sets his hands on either side your hip.
"What's on your mind? You do know that your silence is too loud for me." He says stroking your sides, making you trapped in a heated moment.
"Tetsu-"
"You've been off all morning. What's going on, Y/N?" He asks with sincerity. Ever since breakfast, all he's noticed is how your eyes never dared to stare back at his. How fidgety you were with his hand in yours, the way you'd gaze off into a state of thinking for a few seconds and your hands would feel cold compared to his.
"I- I don't know." You said honestly. There was a block in your mind and your heart. You couldn't notice how you were acting because there's a certain discussion that you unintentionally avoid. Was it the panic Kuroo set your heart in? Is it the way his skin on yours makes you wanna melt?
Was it the butterfly fluttering in you when he said you were his?
"Maybe you're just falling in love with me." Kuroo whispers leaning his face close to yours. God, he was joking. He should be but with his body moving without his system functioning before his orders, he was doomed already.
Unexpectedly, you leaned closer.
You could feel how Kuroo held his hand firmer to your hip while he continues to take away the centimeters in the space you had left. Tilting his head, his lips were impeccably close to yours, threatening you with how you wished they'd be on you already.
But what if I am?
"Isn't that part of the game?" You whispered back, as he steps away. The moment washes over him making his knees almost give out at what he just wanted to do. You sighed as he walks away, leaving you stranded in a pool of questionable feelings.
Your hearts were screaming. What foolishness did you insert yourself in? Kuroo felt like he shouldn't have walked away and chose the fatal move by kissing you the way he always wanted to do but he had to avoid the tightening of his chest.
No one can win in a battle of temptations, especially when your lips were calling his name.
You removed yourself from the sink while you entered your shared bed seeing Kuroo tucked in the sheets, obviously hiding.
You hopped on the either side of the bed with a sigh as you tried to silence out the voices in your head.
I don't want to be in this with you anymore.
-
It wasn't a surprise to see the left side of the bed empty. The moment you woke up, the both of you weren't ready to converse what happened last night, especially the middle blocker. It was his move and you couldn't even manage to move on your own after it. Now what surrounds the room is unresolved tension.
You finally got out of bed, stepping into the bathroom to brush your teeth, locking the door to leave you at peace with your mind. You decided to take a shower knowing the time of the wedding.
Kuroo comes back from grabbing your breakfast. He sees the impact of what happened last night. It was his fault for leaving without explanation now he has to endure the coldness of it all.
He hears the water running so he leans his forehead on the door, his heart wanting nothing more then for everything to be the way it was before.
"If only you knew." He whispers before gathering his tux for the event, sighing to himself.
When you walk out with a towel on, hair dripping droplets, he turns away immediately while you felt the frustration grew in how he was acting.
During your shower, you chose to base your actions with your brain instead of your heart. It can never lead you to proper decisions. Kuroo was making the situation worse—you had expected him to act like nothing happened the next day, maybe then things would have been easier.
"Have you eaten breakfast?" You asked him while he gives you a nod.
Speak to me please.
"I'll go get ready then." There was no point in hoping for a response from him and you grew tired because of it.
His mouth couldn't agree with his mind. He was caught up on if he wanted to apologize or act like nothing happened. He couldn't read your emotions properly even if he feels like he should 'cause if not then this going to grow into something you could both hate.
He's in between of thinking if you want things to be 'normal' or if you want some sort of explanation from him. He also feels like you'd escape the conversation seeing that you leaned in as well, which surprised him. He just can't face it, he can't bring up the words to express how right it felt even if it was wrong.
Still, both ways has his heart still long for you. The regret hasn't died in his body and he wishes it would.
"What time do you think they'll take us to the venue?" Your voice makes him awake somehow, he turns to see applying your makeup in the dress that the bride suggested you'd wear. Just like yesterday, he was struck again. The way the white stood out with the faint details of the dress had you glow like a star he wishes on.
"I don't know." He responds, he fell short on his words and there was still a clear state of hesitation that follows him.
You were fueled by him, yet this fire couldn't be held back.
Kuroo sees the way you drop the brush, leaving a sound echo through the silence he made, the way your heels clicked when you walked right up to him, a weak feeling setting in him knowing your stare was digging holes in his head as he looks at you.
"I think you're forgetting that you moved first."
You say, making him sweat under the confrontation but you let your words show how he managed to place your heart in your hands.
"So why act like we didn't want the same thing?"
You had him stunned. There weren't proper thoughts that ran in his mind, some parts of him still bringing him back to what happened last night and the other wanted to look into the future which was looking unsteady.
"We wouldn't want to ruin our deal, right?" His tone was laced with a threat. He couldn't even set his decisions right. Just blurting out words he thought was enough for the both of you.
"Kuroo, that wasn't an act." You argued making him crumble with another mistake in his response. You both felt it and there wasn't a way to act all blind to it. You were aware and admitted it to him face to face. That was the confirmation he needed to get his heart removed from its knots.
"Y/N-"
You step closer to him, a firm finger on his chest while your eyes stayed on
"If the show is more important to you, then let's call it like nothing happened."
While you give a push to his chest, you turned your back to him hoping it'd make him walk to you and tell you his genuine feelings.
But your heels lead you away from him and his feet remained glued to the floor.
-
They say weddings brought people together to celebrate love.
That is- the love that circled between you two is an experiment you'll never understand.
As you went to the wedding, everyone looked at this perfect couple who radiated silent rage with each other.
Kuroo feels the sting in his heart when you were forced to hold his hand and stick around him. Your voice portrayed it so easily- like this role of being his girlfriend was a reflex, something that you know by the back of the hand.
Meanwhile, he's forgotten his lines.
His expressions, the nicknames guardedly falling off his lips, the shaking hands that roamed around your waist, he was falling apart.
Suddenly, forgetting his role and searching for the script of reality.
Everyone can see it. The way you smiled and tried to avoid questions of why you both seems so close but feel so distant with each other. You'd laugh it off or change the topic to the lovely couple instead, even the bride could sense it.
While the ceremony begins, Kuroo couldn't stop looking at your direction. How could he not when his eyes loved the sight of you? Disregarding the tone of your voice earlier that scared the wits out of him, the way you strutted in that dress of yours still had his heart held captive.
Meanwhile, you kept your eyes busy by trying to focus on the couple. If you didn't control yourself, you would drown in him. Did that tux really have to be perfect in him? The way his hair was actually swept back with gel, exposing a new level of attraction for you.
For a second, Kuroo looks away knowing you'd never look his way the same way again.
And Cupid was sure to hit you right this time.
"Honey, you've shown me love in ways I never knew you could do. At first, I was scared. You know me- love is a deadly road but you drove me to the safest place. Love is scary but with you— I'm willing to fear it as long as I'm yours." The bride vows making some of your relatives form tears in their eyes at the beautiful choice of words.
You bit your lip, finding it ironic how it fits you. You were sure as hell scared. Knowing Kuroo and having to experience a bond with him and it could all end because of a mere kiss. You weren't ready to lose, both in love and in this level of fate.
"I've never said it before but I was scared too. It doesn't show- I know. Losing you is something that haunts me for the rest of my life, it's cliche but what's love without you? Even if I'm having some trouble in saying it, I love you and I don't think I can ever lie about that." The groom says while the bride wipes away her tears, fanning her eyes.
Didn't that just took the words right out of Kuroo?
He gulps, looking at you as you also turned to look at him. An antsy feeling settling in your bodies, the number of butterflies swarming around you was increasing with every word that replays in your minds.
Minutes pass as the newly married couple kiss, making you both awaken at the sound of cheers from your relatives. You stood up from your seat, joining the crowd as they watch the two walk down the path smiling at each other.
Kuroo was on the other side, joined by your male relatives while you were on the side with your aunties. Both of you were tremendously nervous. You decided to avert your eyes on the bride as she readies herself to thow the boquet of bright flowers.
You sighed as you decided to walk away but destiny tugs on your motives.
Time slows down as the boquet thrown in the air was circling around while they all watched on whose lucky hands it lands on. They all tried to reach it, believing in the myth that surrounded it.
Dropping an item from your bag, you bent down to pick it up but what made your eyes widen was the sight of the fallen flowers in front of you and everyone that surrounded you, disappeared in your mind.
Picking it up slowly, the boquet resting in your hand as you admired each flower but your heart was struck like an arrow hittings its target point.
Kuroo held his breath, clenching his hands as he stood there.
Giving one last glance to the boquet, your eyes finally met Kuroos astounded ones and the world goes into a blur while he remained to stay focused in your line of sight.
Just like that, Cupid lands a bullseye to both hearts.
