When writing fanfiction, there are a lot of unknowns surrounding Mobei-Jun that I answer based on what I think is compelling, funny, and/or contrasts well against SQH | Airplane Bro. (Sometimes, based on what contrasts interestingly and/or hilariously against Luo Binghe or Shen Qingqiu.) The choices I make for MBJ also depend on what suits that particular story.

An interesting question: "What kind of literature does Mobei-Jun like?" He's Airplane Bro's Ideal Man / Dream Guy! It's fun to think about what Mobei-Jun's relationship might be to fiction.

One choice that I've pulled a few times now is having Mobei-Jun be functionally illiterate, mostly because I think that situation is an interesting / amusing contrast to the guy who technically wrote the world into existence. Airplane Bro was cranking out thousands of words per day to eat, selling out his honest passion for literature, and Mobei-Jun can't / doesn't read.

There are lots of different potential reasons for this! Maybe Mobei-Jun is dyslexic. Maybe he desperately needs reading glasses and doesn't realize it. (Yes, maybe half of his glaring is just squinting.) Maybe his education was really bad because his family tried to murder him too many times. Maybe he just doesn't have any interest in fiction or in reading as a hobby in general, because paper / writing is rare in the Demon Realm for a variety of reasons and he's been busy building more relevant skills.

(Airplane Bro is shocked and offended, yes, but mostly because Mobei-Jun somehow successfully hid being unable to read from him for two or more decades. All of those "you read it" and "you write it" orders suddenly make so much sense.)

Another direction for "Mobei-Jun's relationship to media" that I've been enjoying lately as a premise is that Mobei-Jun is the sort of person who would have genuinely enjoyed "Proud Immortal Demon Way". But, like, in a weird way. Like, maybe Mobei-Jun isn't there for the women or the power fantasy, but he's fascinated by the cage of dissatisfaction, misery, and cruelty that the protagonist is building around himself using empty pleasures and merciless vengeance. Mobei-Jun is there for the tragedy. Everyone else in the comments section would think that he's a weirdo for different reasons, including Airplane Bro, but Mobei-Jun is (by accident) operating on a level where he sees the vision.

Alternate direction on "Mobei-Jun would like PIDW, actually": maybe he would like it because he actually loves trashy drama and stupid catfights. He's there for the comedy. He grew up in an environment where his father stole his uncle's wife and his own uncle tried to kill him multiple times, after all. In PIDW itself, right-hand man Mobei-Jun somehow successfully suffered years upon years of Luo Binghe's harem nonsense, and maybe Mobei-Jun was having the time of his life watching Sha Hualing start shit in the harem, actually!

Maybe in a Modern AU, Airplane Bro would try to sound intelligent and cultured by talking to his rich boss / boyfriend about classy literature, only to find out that Mobei-Jun basically only watches reality television competitions where people are constantly trying to tear each other's hair out for money. If people aren't screaming in each other's faces over a spilled glass of wine, throwing plates at each other over a stolen boyfriend or a ruined wedding, or backstabbing each other via wardrobe sabotage to get ahead, then Mobei-Jun is bored. Fighting matches or extremely dangerous sports are also fine, though, sure. (Airplane Bro doesn't like any of this stuff. He's a fantasy novel guy. He has no idea how to react to this.)

Another funny direction for "Mobei-Jun's relationship to media" is that maybe "Proud Immortal Demon Way" wouldn't actually be weird ENOUGH for Mobei-Jun's tastes. Maybe Mobei-Jun would be like that guy who claims "if I can guess the twist, then it's not suspense - suspense is when I don't know what's going to happen next, period" and reads long-running, amateur, foreign, abstract web-novels that he has to put through an online translator himself. Maybe in a Modern AU with this opinion, Mobei-Jun loyally watches telenovelas and Bollywood soap operas. Airplane Bro comes into the room and says, "Wow, not even any subtitles? You can understand what they're saying?" and Mobei-Jun says sincerely, "No. You have to figure out what's happening without them. This is the intended viewing experience."

Feeling Good, Pt 3

Mitsuki Bakugou was a force of nature and of fashion. Izuku smoothed over the black lace of his dress one more time before stepping out into the flashing camera lights. He prayed the pasties would stay in place and his carefully hand-dyed thong would cooperate. The flowers in the lace were only so strategic.

The flashes seemed to pop faster as Izuku paused at each designated photo spot. Maybe he should have argued more with Auntie… No! This was not the time to think like that.

“Hero Deku!” the same reporter from the last charity event called him over. “A pleasure this evening!”

“Hello, Nakamura,” the omega hero couldn’t help the smile. The young woman had been delightful last time and clearly was unhappy about having to pry into the hero’s personal life.

“You look absolutely stunning this evening. Another Bakugou original?” Her earnest enthusiasm betrayed her preference for discussing the outfits of the night.

Izuku couldn’t help the giggle as he twirled carefully for her cameraman. “Of course! Auntie Mitsuki insisted on this dress for me tonight.”

Nakamura nodded. “As always, Mrs. Bakugou has an excellent eye.”

The pair chatted a moment more about the detailing on the gown and the preparations for wearing it.

“Now, Hero Deku, I have to ask. You did a photoshoot earlier this month in what I am presuming is a prototype of this dress.”

“Yes I did!” Izuku’s cheerful expression never waivered. He was proud of the photoshoot that Nakamura was referring to. “Thank goodness we did. There were some issues with the measurements we didn’t realize until that day. The zipper-“

Nakamura cut off Izuku’s rambling. “During the photoshoot you were destroying what looked like a replica of your wedding dress. Is that true?”

“Oh no!” Izuku beamed. Nakamura relaxed slightly. “It was the actual dress!”

The young reporter paled. She didn’t want to talk about this. Her boss was the worst. She wanted to cover the outfits down the red carpets, not pry into people’s private lives!

“And… you ruined the dress… why? Were you unhappy with it?”

“How could I be unhappy with something Uncle designed? No, that phase of my life is over.”

Izuku glanced up the carpet towards the entrance of the venue. “It looks like it’s time for me to go in! A pleasure, Ms. Nakamura.”

She could only gape at the hero’s exposed back.

*flashback*

Izuku was perched on a stool at the kitchen counter. Katsuki had just left after making their lunches for the week. Endeavor had the pair on a diet plan and Katsuki volunteered to do their meal prep. Katsuki had also brought in a magazine with the weekly groceries.

The headline had been the reason the explosive hero had even bought the “trashy as fuck rag” and Izuku… wasn’t sure how to feel. It was the fourth or fifth time since they’d gotten married three years ago his husband ended up on the cover of a tabloid with a scandalous headline. But that picture…

Izuku was so focused on the image he missed the front door opening and his husband’s greeting. A heavy hand on this shoulder and a kiss on his cheek clued him in.

“Hey, Zu,” Shindo scented him lightly. “Whatcha got there?”

Izuku didn’t miss the panic in Shindo’s voice. A few subtle sniffs also told him Shindo had used neutralizers. Recently. “A new headline for PR. Why were you out so late at a bar with the interns? I thought you were at the office doing paperwork.”

“I finished up and they invited me out. You were already home or I would’ve texted you too.”

“Oh,” Izuku turned to look over at Shindo. “Is that why you neutralized?”

Shindo’s wide eyes don’t escape Izuku’s sharp gaze. His alpha had been hot and cold with affection lately. Shindo was nervous. “Yeah. Didn’t want to overwhelm you with all the scents from the bar.”

Izuku hummed, not really sure if he believed his husband, but choosing to let PR deal with it.

*end of flashback*

BREAKING: HERO DEKU WHISKED AWAY BY RED RIOT AFTER FAT GUM AGENCY CHARITY GALA. WHERE WAS PINKY?

Mina cackled as she trashed the magazine. “Is Shindo paying these losers?”

Eijirou snorted as he passed the half-packed kitchen with more full moving boxes. “Did I at least look good, babe?”

Izuku was in tears and clutching his stomach on the floor. Mina had been roasting the photographers for a solid fifteen minutes for the bad angle. She had pointed out if they had been a step or two to the left, they would have gotten more of Izuku in the shot than they planned. The scandalous headlines after the charity galas had become a running joke for the pack.

“OI! Get a move on, Shitty Hair. We don’t have the truck for that much longer,” Katsuki stomped inside to growl at the packing crew to move faster. “Deku, Raccoon Eyes, the kitchen doesn’t have that much shit in it! Let’s go!”

“Come on, Blasty! Cut a pregnant omega some slack!” Mina whined, placing a hand gently on her barely-showing stomach.

“Babe, you’re like 4 months along,” Eijirou walked by again. Empty-handed this time. “At the very least you could tape more boxes together.”

Izuku giggled as Mina whined at her mate.

OUAT Thoughts Pt.38--Episodes 12-13

I have watched through S4E13; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for anyone further behind than I am.

—YASS, Chernabog! How’s it hanging, babe? That guy is one of the best parts of Fantasia, I just adore him. I do kinda wish he’d gotten a simple draped skirt inside of those ugly fur-covered legs, though. It would match his ancient evil aesthetic.

—Speaking of aesthetics, Maleficent is suddenly rather striking. I’m so glad they’ve got her out of those hideous frilly, purple outfits where her hair was visible. That black dress with the red sparkles is gorgeous, and she’s finally got proper horns. And her dragon staff is so cool.

—Rumple hanging out with some petty b*tches is hilarious. Especially because he’s basically one himself.

And I don’t get why she only has two tentacles; if she’s supposed to be an ancient octopus goddess, she should have the full octopus number. But her “real” world clothes are pretty cute.

—I hate Cruella. She’s a puppy killer. But…when it comes to her, I can’t decide whether I prefer trashy, ugly Cruella or an as-of-yet nonexistent glam, chic Cruella. Her look could be gorgeous if done right, but it’s always done in the cheapest way possible, which is part of her character. And her hair disgusts me.

—Hope she doesn’t get any ideas about Dr. Hopper’s dog.

—So the Sorcerer and the Author (which is literally one of the coolest titles in the known universe) are different people. In that case, could they just drop a couple of Yen Sid crumbs for me? I’m languishing! Also, I am fully prepared to find out that the Author is a version of Emma who has achieved near-godhood and is beyond the puny confines of time and space.

—I love that Ursula works in an aquarium. She’s not just a thousand-year-old octopus lady who happens to live in the ocean, she actually likes fishies. V cute.

—Elsa in her coronation dress and fancy hairstyle! I’m ascended, see y’all on the higher planes ✌️

—I also adore the implication that she’s the one who gave Anna away at her wedding. They’re my favorite Disney duo, I swear.

—Look at that, neither Hook nor Rumple is dead. How very swaggy.

—I’m quite interested to find out why the Blue Fairy seemed so wigged by the mention of the Sorcerer and the Author. She must know something that she hasn’t said yet about one or both of them.

—Also, what is the dealio with Snow and Charming? What the heck could possibly have happened with Cruella and Ursula in the Enchanted Forest to make them so deadly mad?

—I love that Maleficent has gone beyond a pet crow and has instead gone directly to *randomly materializes out of a murder of crows with a slurpee in my hand* (I know I saw that in a Tumblr meme at some point, but Idk what the blog name is.)

—I feel so sad for Regina. Marian is willing to step aside (which, btw, is a real gorgeous thing for her to do) and then Robin has to leave to keep Marian from dying. It’s so not fair.

—I can’t stand smoking, but I respect that the green smoke from the original 101 Dalmatians was translated into the visual effect for Cruella’s magic here. And actually, her having power to control animals is pretty boss, too.

—Glad Rumple didn’t end up expelled from Storybrooke for long. But I’m also rather anxious about whatever it is he wants to do when he finds the Author. Maybe this adventure will be like that one episode of My Little Pony where the villains have to work together and accidentally discover ✨the power of friendship✨ Because really, I think Rumple needs to be part of a petty b*tch club. Might do wonders for his soul. They could just walk around Storybrooke and say snide things about people’s fashion choices and I’d nod like *yes, this is the most important thing* And if they’re being salty about minor things like that, they don’t really need to be evil to satisfy their shadiness quota.

"So...?" Aurora began.

"So... what?" You asked.

"How are things with you and Erik?" She asked.

You sighed, "They're fine."

"That's all I get? Not even a crumb?" Kat could see Aurora pouting from the other end.

"There's not much to tell. We're just friends." Kat sighed.

"No, there's something else going on."

"All right, fine." Kat relented, "While I was waiting for Erik to text back for that month, I met a guy in a coffee shop, and he was pretty kind. He accidentally grabbed my drink, and then offered to pay for my drink."

"Oh, my gosh, Kat, you have two boyfriends!" Aurora squealed.

"Okay, stop. No, I don't. I don't even have one. Erik isn't my boyfriend, he's just a friend, and the guy I met at the coffee shop isn't my boyfriend. We haven't even gone on a date. We're just talking." Kat told her best friend.

"Uh-huh." Aurora sounded unconvinced, "Well, I'll be in Denver Saturday, and you can tell me all about your two not-boyfriends then."

"Can't wait." Kat smiled.

"I love you," Aurora told her, sincerity dripping from her voice.

"I love you, too, Rory." Kat smiled.

Saturday came, and Erik found himself waiting at the airport, waiting to pick up Rory. Kat had an errand, so she asked Erik to do it. Aurora shot Kat a text, telling her she was waiting by the bag carousel, so Kat let Erik where Aurora was.

Erik walked over to the bag carousel and looked around for the person Kat had explicitly described. He eventually found Aurora standing off to the side, "Aurora, right? I'm Erik."

"Ah, you're Erik." Aurora smiled, shaking his hand. Erik made a face, "Kat has told me a lot about you. She even read me the letter your boss wrote up."

"Ahh." Erik nodded, scratching the back of his neck, "What'd you think?"

"You want the truth?" Erik nodded, "Kat's been through some shit, and that's not my story to tell, but she doesn't open up to many people is my point, so if she opens up, just be there for her. She trusts you, Erik. She let you into her world, and now that you're here, if you leave, gosh—I don't even know, it might ruin her." Aurora told him.

"I'll do that, be there for her." Erik nodded his head. Aurora could hear the determination.

"Good." She nodded, handing him her rolly suitcase, and following him out of the airport to his car.

Erik was in trouble.

His friends were getting married and he was dateless. He, of course, didn't need to go with a date, but going with someone would ease the tension and get people off his back when they asked why he was still single.

So, he called up his new best friend, Kat. A few months had gone by since their second conversation at the bar where Kat gave him a second chance, but they weren't yet at the same level of friendship as Kat and Aurora or Erik and Gabe.

Erik would go over to Kat's apartment and they would drink beer and watch movies. Kat would go over to Erik's place and they would sit on his couch eating pizza and watching trashy reality TV.

"So, let me get this straight; your friends are getting married and you want me to go with you?" Kat asked.

"Yeah, pretty much." Erik nodded.

"Well, I'm sure you have other... female friends." She winced at the wording.

"Well, I don't really want to take any of them. I wanted to take you because you're my friend and it won't be awkward." Erik told her honestly.

"When is this wedding?" Kat asked.

"Two weeks from Saturday."

Kat was silent as she contemplated the proposal, "I'll think about it. Give me two days." She told him and hung up, giving him no time to respond. Erik smiled and pocketed his phone.

Kat fidgeted with her necklace as she waited for Erik to pick her up, "You can do this." She repeatedly whispered to herself.

Her phone rang from the table, causing her to jump. She calmed her heartbeat before answering the phone, "Hello?"

"Hey, I'm waiting outside, come out whenever you're ready," Erik told her.

"Okay, I'll be down in a sec." She told him, then hung up, setting her phone in her bag and giving her outfit one last look in the mirror. She took a deep breath before making her way outside.

Erik got out of the car, ready to open her door, but stopped for a moment when he saw her, "What? Is there something wrong with this dress? I haven't worn it in a while and I think it might be too small." Kat winced.

"No, no, it's perfect. You look... perfect." He was shell-shocked.

"You think so?" She stopped fidgeting with her dress and looked up at him.

"Yeah, I do." He nodded, a smile on his face. She hummed with a smile. The two of them stood there, admiring each other before Erik realized why he was there in the first place, "We should get going."

"Yeah, right, of course. Going." She nodded, breaking from her fantasy world, and speed-walking to his car.

Erik and Kat were sitting at a table at the wedding, sipping their drinks and talking. The wedding was still going on, but the two of you were having a good conversation.

Kat was a little drunker than Erik since she wasn't DD and there was an open bar, "I'm really happy you came tonight." Erik told her.

"I'm happy too. I've never been to a wedding." She admitted.

"Really? Never?" He asked.

"Didn't really have any relatives willing to invite the infamous Foley family." She told him, her eyes glazed over due to the alcohol in her system.

"What do you mean?" Erik's brows furrowed together in confusion.

"My parents were either drunk or high. No one wanted that at their weddings." She told him, taking another sip of her drink.

"Wow, I'm really sorry, Kat." Erik was speechless.

"It's fine, I got out of there, I'm never going back." She shrugged, slowly beginning to sober up because of the heaviness of the conversation.

Erik kept his eyes on her, trying to gauge a reaction, "Since we're already halfway there, let's keep going." She joked, "I moved here from Maine when I was 18 and barely graduated high school. I almost didn't get the job at the bar because I was 18. The owner, Ralph, took pity on me and hired me to work in the back office."

"I've been working my ass off since I was 15. The only person I've ever had that's consistent in my life is Aurora. She left for Dallas when we were 19 to start taking classes. She had been taking online classes for me, but she moved to Dallas and I almost died, not gonna lie."

Erik listened the entire time, a little sliver of sadness in his heart. He finally understood what Aurora meant by "be there for her."

"I never went to college, I wanted to but never had enough money to even pay for a textbook let alone a class, so I worked my ass off to get that apartment." She told him, spinning one of the rings on her fingers.

"And that's pretty much the story of Kat Foley." She shrugged, "I'm the daughter of two high alcoholics from Maine. There's not much to know."

"If it makes you feel any better, I never went to college either." He told her, trying to diffuse the awkwardness.

Her lips curved up but she tried to hide it, "Okay," She nodded, "That does make me feel a little better."

"I'm glad." He smiled, reaching for his glass and holding it out for her. She picked up her cup from the table and clinked it against his.

Late Night Show

Title: Late Night Show Author: @complicatedmerary For: @fogspecs Pairings/Characters: Misa/Takada tease, Kiyomi Takada, Misa Amane, Hitoshi Demegawa (cameo), Light Yagami (mentioned only) Rating/Warnings: Teen and Up, alcohol mention, Demegawa being a gross boss, tabloid gossip nonsense, mean girl behavior, mild language, mild violence Prompt: Misa and Takada have romantic tension between them. Author’s notes: Misa and Takada, you say? Don’t mind if I do! As I was drafting ideas for the offered prompts, it occurred to me that the only time Misa and Takada met in canon was when Misa had no memories of being Kira. If we are being honest, that was a missed opportunity. Then, I thought, what if Misa has her memories intact, but Takada is not Kira’s spokeswoman? How will their dynamic change? Hope you enjoy!

“I’m telling you, Miss Takada, with your great assets and even greater personality, you will have my audience eating at the palm of our hands. My show has been craving a female perspective on scandalous gossip, you have no idea how much hate mail I receive for being unfair to these airheaded celebrities. If we get this right, no one will ever accuse me of having no substance, we are respectable journalists, dammit!”

Kiyomi Takada had barely started her first day of work and she already regretted every second of it. Truth be told, it was not a regular job, it was a weird hybrid of an internship that she had to fight to be eligible for credit and an arduous job that guaranteed humiliating tasks and low pay. The real reward is experience, she kept telling herself over and over as she reluctantly took this opportunity after being rejected by reputable news network stations. She had the nagging suspicion that Hitoshi Demegawa only chose her based on her looks rather than her impeccable academic record, but at this point it was too late to challenge this. No, she had to swallow her pride if she wanted to prove herself to be worthy of broadcasting intellectual journalism in the next few years.

“Hey, hey, what’s with the gloomy face?” Demegawa snapped his fingers close to Takada’s nose, startling her. “Celebrity gossip is supposed to be fun! Well, unless I report the usual actor breakdown, but that’s just show business, no one is truly getting hurt anyway.” He chuckled, holding himself by his belly.

Takada barely flinched.

“Come on, I’m just joking, don’t be so serious. We have something juicy coming up in thirty minutes and I need you to familiarize yourself with the news that has happened this morning.” Demegawa stopped speaking, gave Takada a nefarious grin, then patted her cheek as if she were a kid. “How about smiling for once? You will fit right in when people don’t see you as an ice queen.” He turned to the side and snapped his fingers repeatedly. “Everyone should be getting their makeup done, don’t you dare step out if your face is a mess!”

She took note of scrubbing her cheek raw until there was no trace of his dirty hand.

Takada looked over her script as her makeup artist fluffed some blush across her cheekbones. She wasn’t the type to focus on such frivolous things, but if she had to play the role of the tabloid host darling, she will gladly do so to keep Demegawa satisfied. Her credit and career depended on it.

She flipped the page with a lack of interest; Hideki Ryuga was out of the country for the third time this month? It wouldn’t surprise her if he ended up caught in a money laundering scheme, he seemed to be just that dumb. Next up, was A-list actress, Suki Aragaki, marrying his longtime beau, movie director, Kenji Ozu, after enduring a nasty love triangle that ended Ozu’s decade-long marriage. Congratulations, I guess, Kiyomi snorted, rolling her eyes at the absurdity.

She continued flipping until a familiar name made her stop on her tracks. Misa Amane. Without realizing it, her knuckles turned white as she gripped the script, and her jaw clenched painfully.

“Are you alright, Miss Takada?” The makeup artist placed a hand on her shoulder.

“Of course,” Takada let out a deep breath as her anger simmered down. “I’m just nervous, that’s all.”

The makeup artist nodded. “I understand. Don’t let Demegawa intimidate you, he is quite sweet once you get to know him.”

That was doubtful, but she was not about to argue, her attention was somewhere else. Misa Amane. The same silly model who appeared on campus and snatched Light Yagami away from her. To make matters worse, Amane randomly texted her out of nowhere months ago to let her and all of Light’s “other girls” know (which came as a disturbing revelation to her) that Light asked her to move in together and to back off. Why did Light love such an insecure, clingy woman? What could they possibly have in common besides good looks? And her classmates dared to call her superficial, how laughable.

As she kept reading the script, the gloom evaporated like a burst bubble. Misa Amane has been caught buying a pregnancy test despite declaring over the weekend at the premiere of her latest movie that she and her private boyfriend were waiting till marriage. Are we expecting wedding bells for the lovely couple, or did they marry in secret already to avoid the ire of her rabid fanboys? Unless there is something more sinister going on and her boyfriend is not the father of that baby. Perhaps that’s why Hideki Ryuga is out of the country, he is running away from his duty as a father! Those two have been fighting the persistent rumors of romance on set and that might settle it once and for all. Whoever the baby’s father is, congratulations to Misa Amane and her bundle of joy. We can’t wait to have more single mothers in the entertainment industry, such an underrepresented group in our society!

Takada tried to stifle her giggles between her fingers, but her amusement couldn’t be contained. For once Demegawa’s brutal commentary came in handy, there was no way Misa Amane could recover from this scandal. If there was anything juicier than an affair, it was a pregnancy resulting from the affair!

Oh, tonight’s show was going to be so much fun.

“It just does not make any sense, Miss Takada,” Teppei, her co-host, shook his head. “How can this movie be such a critical success when every review I have seen declared it the worst movie of the year even though we are halfway there? Who is bribing the industry to keep promoting it on television when no one wanted this movie to be made in the first place? It is a conspiracy; I am so sure of it.”

Takada pretended to act interested in the topic and simply smiled widely. She barely met Teppei today and she finally had the confirmation that she was dreading: He was a certified spoiled brat who assumed himself to be the greatest thing that has ever happened to comedy. The son of a politician, he got far enough to step into movies and television because his father left him a bottomless pit of money. He wasn’t good looking, so he relied on his short stature and misogynistic jokes to compensate for the lack of attention he never received in the spotlight. It worked perfectly enough to be perceived as harmless and now he got to hang out with late night show comedians and tour around the country. Takada wondered for how long mediocrity was going to be standard. If he were someone else, Demegawa would have no doubt chewed him out, but money and publicity ruled in his greedy heart.

“The real conspiracy is,” Takada pointed at the screen, a photo of Hideki Ryuga and Misa Amane on set, holding hands. “What is up with these two? They keep stating over and over that there is no romance, but I have yet to see her publicly with her supposed boyfriend. What exactly is she hiding?” The next slide showed a paparazzi shot of Misa Amane allegedly going to the pharmacy for a pregnancy test.

The audience gasped loudly, as expected, thanks to the teleprompter.

“Woah,” Teppei spun around dramatically. “Didn’t she say she was waiting till marriage?”

“It makes you wonder why Hideki Ryuga is out of the country for the third time this week,” Takada gasped. “What are the odds that he found out about her pregnancy and is panicking about the possibility of being a father?”

“If that’s not the case, then she married her boyfriend in secret to keep up with her indiscretion and avoid the ire of her fans.” Teppei covered his mouth and giggled like a schoolboy. “Sucks for him because if they were supposed to be celibate, then that’s Ryuga’s baby! Man, things are not going well for Misa Amane!”

“Congratulations to Misa Amane and her bundle of joy,” Takada recited the script with unnecessary enthusiasm. “We can’t wait to have more single mothers in the entertainment industry, such an underrepresented group in our society!”

The phone rang on the set, which meant that a fan of the show had the opportunity to give their perspective on the topic. This was Demegawa’s idea to encourage “respectful dialogue” on live television, but Takada knew better: It was to enforce the trashiness of the show with inflammatory controversy, and there was no doubt one of Misa’s fanboys was calling to defend her “honor and dignity.”

Yeah, you cannot defend something that never existed, Takada thought bitterly.

“Looks like we struck a nerve,” She hummed and picked up the phone, setting it to onset speaker. “Yes, how can we help you?”

“YOU DISGUSTING, UGLY BITCH!” A shrill voice echoed around the studio, creating some feedback on the boom microphones. “I ought to sue every single of you for defamation of character! I would never cheat on my boyfriend, especially not with Hideki Ryuga! You are all sick in the head for lying this bad!”

Takada couldn’t help the grin that was plastered on her face … No one could mistake that voice to someone else. So, Misa Amane was the type of celebrity who watched gossip shows to hear if she was relevant? This was just too hilarious and unsurprising for her.

“Sorry, Miss Amane, we are just reporting the news,” she said coolly. “We are not fond of frivolous lawsuits, so I ask you to respect the press.”

“YOU ARE NOT REPORTING ‘NEWS’, YOU ARE SPREADING GARBAGE!” There was a brief silence on the other line, and then the sound of chugging down a liquid echoed on the speaker. “You are just jealous that I’m in a committed relationship and you are stuck with your misery,” Misa’s words were slurred. “How about spreading some good news? Whatever happened to being kind?”

“With all due respect, Miss Amane,” Teppei had a smug grin on his face. “You are in the entertainment industry; we don’t owe you kindness. If you can’t handle criticism, maybe being a celebrity is not the job for you.”

Takada covered her mouth, hiding the twitch on her lips that she couldn’t contain any longer. Was this truly the end for Misa Amane? No one seemed to be on Misa’s side, and she was humiliating herself on live television. Things were finally looking up for her.

“Oh, shut up, Teppei, no one likes you, you are only relevant because of your daddy,” Misa shot back. “And as for you, Kiyomi Takada, my boyfriend will never be with you, he prefers me, he said so himself, so knock it off.”

The bombshell caused a murmur amongst the audience and Takada stiffened on the spot. No, she was not going to let Misa Amane win this fight, not now, not ever.

“Wow, Miss Amane, are you having a mental breakdown?” She chuckled. “Jealousy is not part of a healthy relationship, it’s not good that you are projecting your insecurities on me. We don’t even know each other.”

“That’s it! I’m going down to Sakura TV, find you, and kick your butt! You’ll be sorry for messing with me—”

“Like that’s ever going to happen.” And with that, she slammed the phone and there was nothing but the dial and laughter from the audience.

She wondered if she ruined her chances of ever being taken seriously, but one glance at Demegawa’s blissful face told her everything she needed to know: This episode was one for the books.

It was close to midnight when the show finally ended, and Takada stayed overtime to talk to Demegawa about the possibility of hosting the show by herself. He said he would think about it, but he couldn’t guarantee anything despite the reception. That was good enough for her. For now.

As she approached the parking lot, she heard footsteps to her left, but there were so light that for a second, she thought she imagined it in her head. She was tired and it had been a long and overexciting night, she couldn’t wait to go home and sleep on her bed.

“There you are!”

Takada turned around and she couldn’t believe what she saw: Staring at her with malice was Misa Amane, standing up straight with her legs apart, and clenched fists.

“I told you I was going to find you and kick your butt! Now, don’t you dare move!” Misa sprinted forward with so much velocity on her direction, her gaze still focused.

Takada panicked for a few moments, darting her head back and forth, looking for a way out. Instinctively, she raised her arms across her face to defend it and swung her leg on any direction her adrenaline asked her to do, her eyes closed.

It all happened so fast: As Misa aimed to kick Takada on the shin, she tripped on Takada’s swinging foot, and she landed on the concrete, stomach down.

Takada opened her eyes when she heard the agonizing whines below her and gasped at the sight of Misa laying flatly in the middle of the parking lot. Oh, God, I didn’t hurt her that bad, did I?

“Are you alright?” She felt pathetic; of course, she was not alright, she just tripped her with her foot, what a terrible question!

“Here, let me help you—”

“Don’t touch me!” Misa shrugged her off as she managed to stand on her own. Well, just barely, she couldn’t maintain her balance as she tried to step away towards the street.

Despite hating that woman with a burning intensity, she was not going to let Misa walk by herself with injuries all over her, especially in such a shady area. No, if she drove away and Misa ended up missing (or worse, dead) because she was alone, she could no longer call herself a virtuous person.

“You are not going anywhere. Come on, I need to take you home.” Takada dragged Misa roughly by the arm towards her car.

“Let me go!” Misa tried to resist her, but her balance betrayed her. “I’m not going to tell you where I live, you are going to stalk Light if you know!”

God, would she stop being so freaking loud?

“Either you tell me where you live, or you have no choice but to spend the night in this parking lot,” She pushed Misa inside the car and dropped her legs on the passenger seat. She then held her arms as she put the seatbelt over her body.

“I don’t have time for this, you are a grown woman, act like it—” She caught a whiff of cheap wine on Misa’s breath. “Ugh, so you are drunk. That’s it, I’m going to drive all around the city until you tell me where I should drop you. I’m not stopping until you get over yourself.”

The drive did go longer than expected; it was one in the morning and Misa refused to speak one word to her. Two could play the game, Takada did not say one word either. The only sound filling out the silence was the pop radio station playing the same song for the third time. At this point, she wondered if she will ever get peace for at least trying to help another woman out.

“I did mean what I said on the phone,” Misa murmured quietly. “Light does not want you, he never did.”

Why was she bringing that up now? Why did it matter after she ignored her this time entire time?

“I don’t care,” Takada rolled her eyes. “You don’t need to do this, you have him, why isn’t that enough for you?”

“It’s easy for you to say,” Misa snorted. “He dumps you and you act like it never happened. If Light were to dump me, I don’t think I would want to continue living.”

Good lord, this woman is insane.

“You want to know what the worst part is?” Tears suddenly rolled down her eyes. “The reason why I don’t want you to drop me to my apartment is because you will not find him there. He has been acting so weird since—” She shook her head. “No, he is a man, this is a man thing. It’s normal for your boyfriend to not spend every night together, right?”

Takada really wanted to say, no, it was not normal, but she didn’t know what she could possibly say that could make this situation better. She didn’t ask for this personal information, this was none of her business. And yet, why did she want to hear more about Light’s inability to keep his own girlfriend happy? What the hell was wrong with him?

“I’m not pregnant, you know,” Misa whispered, and Takada’s glanced at her, confused. “We have tried—Well, I tried my best to let that happen. I’ve been so hopeful that maybe if we have a baby together, we will be bonded for life. That, maybe, just maybe, he would look at me differently. Yes, I did buy that pregnancy test, and yes, the photos are real, but I’m not pregnant. Are you happy now? You got your little revenge by making fun of me, now I’m asking the media to do the same.”

Jack wears a ring in canon! Assume it's a wedding ring from the first marriage. I can't see him wearing much more than that. Maybe earrings? Lots of people draw him with earrings

His weakness is his immediate and only family. There's a line Jack says, something about killing a guy and he goes "you just have to take away the thing he loves" and when Angel dies? His weakness is gone.

I think you could argue too that defeat is a weakness of his? He throws a fit at the end before you kill him, crying that this isn't how it's meant to to be, how he isn't meant to die, and how hero's don't go out like this!

Lily’s parents used to take her when she was little and after they passed on, she didn’t find joy in anything anymore

Before Rafael could say anything to Andrew, he was already in the lift leaving. Kelsey ran towards the cribs and slammed the metal door.

"what the fuck was that Barba" nick was grinning like it was Christmas. Rafael glared at the packed room. Span on his heels and hurried towards the cribs and opened the door. The sight in front of him broke his heart. Kelsey was sitting in the corner hunched over herself, crying into her lap. Rafael bolted straight to the weeping girl "hush baby; it's ok, he has gone." The man scooped Kelsey up, sat down on one of the bunks and held her close. "I'm not going to let anyone or anything hurt you, baby, I promise. The vulnerable woman melted into her soulmate. Finn quizzed, making sure he heard correctly. The whole squad faced Kelsey. "I know I should have paid more attention to the room, but Emily Junave was a wreck. But I made a Judgement call. I thought the doctors were taking care of Katie, and I put her mother first." Kelsey lowered her head and eyes, not wanting to see the judgement looks of her new team and bosses.

"Where was your partner Hardy?" Elliot quizzed, looking between the two blondes "Jessie needed me. I asked Hardy to fly solo; I needed to be with my little girl." The whole squad and the ADA were staring at Rollins, and it made her feel nervous. Rollins knew she had done wrong; she knew that kelsey shouldn't have gone to the call independently, but she didn't care. She and Jessie made cupcakes and watched frozen together-mother daughter time was well needed last night. "Rollins a word, now!" Rafael seethed as he walked over to one of the side rooms.

*That evening*

Natasha: If you watch TLC on sundays, you know the line up, its 90 day fiancé, sMothered, Love after lockup, etc. Natasha cant get enough of those shows. She even has a secret reddit account to keep up with the drama and to comment on the dumb antics of the shows subjects.

Clint: While being Nats closest friend, Clint gets in on the drama. However his favorite show to watch is Love After Lockup. His wife once walked by and said "Ugh this show is so trashy how could you wa-" "ITS WHAT?"

Thor: Thors favorite reality shows are Dance Moms, 90 day Fiance and Keeping up with the Kardashians. When Thor started visiting Earth more he inquired as to what the culture was and began watching TV. He then fell into a rabbit hole of trashy reality shows that he finds HILARIOUS because "Humans are so tiny!!"

Loki: Loki, like Thor, thinks humans are tiny and a bit pea brained. While bored on Earth he decides to turn on the TV. "What in bloody hell is Bad Girls Club?" Bucky: "Sam for the 5th time I don't want to watch Jersey Shore." *Is completely enthralled in Jwoww fighting Angelina 15 minutes later* Since Bucky is from the 40s he's a bit confused at the content at first but eventually finds it entertaining. Bucky also loves watching how they make swords on Forged in Fire and he watches pawn stars on Saturday mornings with Tony. (He might even recognize a few items from the 40s)

Peter: Peter and MJ watch the bachelor and bachelorette and have bets on whos goes home. He also loves watching Ancient Aliens and other science TV shows. He also watches kitchen nightmares on youtube, Peter has seen a lot as Spiderman but the one thing that will always scare him is an angry Gordon Ramsey.

Wanda: Wanda loves wholesome reality shows like Say Yes to the Dress, Four Weddings etc. She also enjoys the entire Investigation Discovery channel and will try to figure out who the killer is before they do. She also has a soft spot for home improvement shows that she watches with vision.

Vision: Vision doesn't watch much TV but when he does its with Wanda. He enjoys watching how its made, and all the home improvement shows you can think of. He often will fantasize about doing the same improvements in his future house with wanda.

Pietro: Pietro loves spooky TV. Ghost Adventures, Ghost Hunters, The Dead Files. Be prepared to hear what Tony calls "Girly" screams coming from Pietros room on Friday nights when he binge watches these shows.

Coulson: We all know Coulson watches Dr. Phil when he gets home. We also know he loves the more mundane TV shows like extreme couponing, my strange addiction, etc. He even gossips with Natasha about 90 day fiancé from time to time. He also is a big fan of Americas Next Top Model.

1 - These 2 unwashed one spent more than the Cambridges & Charles kept pumping in millions for them, figures are not verified till now

2. Canadians don’t want them

3. The news about their marketability is pure BS, she can built her empire in her head, just like she builds her friendship 

4. Everyone running away from them

5. Talks about them costing so much to maintain is horrifying because while the citizens of the UK suffer especially with the lack of funds for so many sectors, Charles had been indulging his dumb son & his trashy wife. I’m speechless

I love when new characters talk to me, and especially when they involve established characters in what they’re telling me. So here’s a few new things

-Reverend is RJ’s son, with his brother’s wife. When RJ first came into my head, he established he was Rev’s uncle and his brother hated him because he’d fucked his wife, not once but twice. The first time was 2 days before their wedding and the second happened sometime in the middle of their marriage, before Rev was born.

Turns out there’s a bit more to that. RJ and Willow (There’s a reason all of the Jamison boys have weird names, mom was a hippie, though now she’s turned into more of a Stepford) has been dating throughout most of high school. Or...what you might call dating. RJ would take her out on his bike, they’d have sex and then get dinner somewhere before he’d take her home. He was very much in love with her but him going nowhere fast in life scared her because she wanted security more than love. RJ’s brother Darren somehow convinced her that his brother was never going to marry her, or give her a safe, secure life (he was in a gang, after all) and so she ended up running off with him. Pissed and hurt because his brother not only stole his girl but it seemed that his girl never actually loved him, RJ got her into bed with one more time, before they were married, and had his way with her. Afterward, he told her she’ll never get what she wants out of his brother, they both know she’s a trashy little whore and likes to be treated like it. She slapped him, married his brother and 2 years later had their first son, Dax. (I’ll have to figure out everyone’s ages, the way it’s looking RJ might be 50 instead of 42)

When Dax is 5, RJ was just getting out of jail and with nowhere to go, he fell onto his brother’s house in suburbia, seemingly trying to get his feet back on the ground. The Slayers have his back, of course, but he spent 7 years in jail for possession with intent to sell and was released due to overcrowding and the non-hostile nature of his crime made him less of a dangerous criminal. His brother spends several days berating RJ, continuously referring to him by Robert instead of his monicure, which he hates. When Darren leaves home for a business trip, he tells his brother he can stay for another week, then he’s got to leave. He can’t have “his type” in this neighborhood. Willow ends up crawling into bed with him the same night her husband leaves on his trip and the two spend most of that week doing nothing other than each other. Before Darren returns home, RJ tells Willow he’s leaving, she’s not going to get to keep him as a fuck toy unless she tells his brother the truth.

Afraid of losing her nice house and fancy car, she instead tells Darren that RJ raped her and threatened Dax. Darren confronts his brother and the two go at each other, ending with RJ pulling his switchblade on his brother and telling him that Willow is only with him for his money. Enraged and unable to think straight, RJ breaks into their house while the two are visiting the Hamptons and steals money that Darren has hidden, even from his wife, in Dax’s toy box. He ends up arrested, this time for trespassing but there’s no real proof he did anything. Dax had been home when it happened, never really allowed to go to the Hamptons or anywhere else with his parents and told the police that RJ only got him some water and spent the night on the floor of his room before leaving when the babysitter came back. His parents get in a little trouble because their sitter wasn’t staying all night though they claim not to know anything about that.He’d seen his uncle but refused to tattle on time, RJ never hurt him, didn’t even threaten him. (Who threatens a 5 year old?)

Willow seeks out RJ about 4 months later and says she’s pregnant with his kid and he needs to take “responsibility for his crimes against her” He tells her to get fucked, if she wants him to take care of it so bad, give him the kid. She never comes back, and 5 months later gives birth to Reverend. Her husband knows he’s RJ’s kid and they raise Rev with the same kind of hands-off, who cares as long as we’re rich, mentality that Dax had gotten up til then.

-When Rev gets into middle school he meets Zachary Sullivan, though because of a speech impediment he’s unable to say Zach, he starts calling his new friend Jax. Jax takes it, originally finding the younger boy annoying but eventually they become pretty fast friends. Especially since Jax is the “wrong sort” Willow and Darren want their son hanging around, that fuels a fire in both boys and they become inseparable. Jax learns about blood brothers from something he’s reading so he and Rev do that, cutting their hands and agreeing they will always be friends. Every attempt by Darren and Willow to separate the boys fail, and eventually Rev’s parents throw in the towel and give up altogether.

-when Jax is 19, he tries to go through the Slayers’ initiation, which culiminates in getting into a pit with the leader’s pet tiger, Zara. She’s generally well behaved but a bit battle scarred as she’s been doing this for some time. (RJ gave her the scar above her right eye when he went through it when she was still young) Rev never made it past the first round of tests, but he’s supporting Jax when he climbs into the tiger pit. Jax can’t stand the heat, though bows out gracefully as you can when faced with a massive tiger growling at you. He’s told to leave, but at least gained the respect of the Slayers.

-Jax joins a small gang of petty car thieves, and Rev does as well and over time, Jax becomes their leader, pushing the original guy down below him. Damien is pissed but Jax doesn’t stay in that position all that long. He gets involved with a man named John but is rather unceremoniously thrown into a dumpster when John’s friend Ryki, who is also a member of Jax’s gang, finds out what kind of abusive boyfriend he is.

-Rev, having just been arrested while the Jax, John and Ryki thing is happening, is bailed out by his father who is utterly disgusted by the boy with scattered tattoos, and blue streaks in his hair (which John did). While driving Rev home and angrily venting about how this behavior is going to stop, Darren pops off with how he shouldn’t be surprised, Rev is turning out just like his good for nothing father. Confused, Rev asks what he means and finds out Darren’s side of the truth, which his mother repeats, almost word for word. Angry and confused, he asks Dax, who is packing to leave home as well, not wanting to deal with this train wreck of a family anymore. Especially since their parents now have Falco, their baby brother and model to dote on and use. Dax tells him that no matter what mom and dad say, uncle RJ has never been anything but kind to him. He tells Rev that he remembers their mom going into the room RJ was staying in willingly, a lot, and only getting mad when he told her he was leaving. He also tells Rev that RJ would probably have been a better father. Dax leaves that night and never looks back, moving to Las Vegas.

-Rev originally wanted to get RJ to help him but after meeting an angry Jax after Ryki “threw him away” and his crazy mother kicked him out after finding out her son is gay, the two decide to just leave California and never look back. Rev steals about $700 from his mother’s purse, and get into Jax’s POS car. Wherever it stops, they stop. They wind up in southern Illinois, moving into a small apartment complex in Belleville together. Jax isn’t gay, he’s bi, but very homophobic even towards himself. Rev meets Drake and Jax starts dating Kristy and the rest is history.

-Skip to 2006, RJ gets a call from his sister in law out of the blue telling him that his son, Reverend, has just married a psychopath in southern IL and they now have some kind of demon spawn together, before hanging up. RJ is, admittedly, a little confused by the entire conversation and thinks nothing of it until the uprising in the Slayers following the death of their leader and Queenie’s promotion to their new leader. Some understand and follow the “family don’t end in blood” rule (meaning if you’ve been brought into the Slayers and completed the initiation through the blood rite, you become family and the selection of leaders is passed on through the lines, even if that means a 3 year old kid is now your boss) Others, like the Vikings and a handful of others tried challenging the rule, causing dissent and ultimately infighting leads to RJ getting shot, twice. The first time was from Rollo when he tried to shoot Queenie. Rollo pays for that mistake by taking a barbed wire baseball bat to the face, courtesy of RJ and dies of a broken neck. The second time is by Lisa “Lagratha” his ex-lover whom he broke up with after he starting pursuing his current girlfriend and the mother of his child. While he’s on the ground and with a bullet in his hip he realizes he has a kid he’s never known, is about to be a father again and has a grandchild and he wants to have something resrmbling a relationship with them. Even if Rev tells him to fuck off, at least he would have tried.

-RJ volunteers to go to IL and speak with the gang leaders in Chicago and the Scorpions of East St Louis, figuring he’ll stop in to see Rev and the so-called psychopath while he’s there. After being met at the border of Chicago and threatened by the Marcone crime family, he heads down to Belleville to find Reverend. What he finds is pretty close to what he’d been expecting. While Drake is a little odd, her and Rev are sweet together and the boy found genuine love with her. The two talk outside for a while, RJ tells Rev he’s about to be a father himself and would like more than anything to be part of his life and that of his granddaughter’s as well if Rev would have him. Rev doesn’t put much thought into it, telling him that he and his family are going to be moving back to LA in a few months after they settle some things here, since he got offered an internship at Henson Studios and they’re going to be closer, he’d love to have Sunny know an actual grandpa, as opposed to his now estranged parents.

-RJ tells Rev by agreeing to spend time with him, he, Drake and Sunny are coming under the protection of the Slayers and if they need anything they have a very large family watching out for them. Through Rev, he also gets to meet with the East St Louis Scorpions and strikes a deal with their leader wherein one (or more if they want)of their guys gain access to the Slayers in LA and have a permanent place in their meetings and vice versa.

-RJ has two vehicles (3 if you count the silver bullet trailer he lives in), one is a ‘96 Trans AM he’s been rebuilding for a while. This is what he drives to Illinois.

The second is his motorcycle, a Harley Davidson sportster with custom exhaust. This is what he was riding when he meet Jamie.

((Side note, Ragnar and his Vikings don’t end up leaving LA completely, as he gets involved with a good little Catholic boy, and tries to convince Ireena that he didn’t know Rollo and Floki were going to start an all out uprising with them and he, Lagretha and some younger ones would like to return to the Slayers, since no one else will have them)))

(((One other side note, RJ wears a small vial of blood around his neck hidden inside of a hollowed out bullet casing. He said it’s the leaders’ and his best friend’s blood, which he keeps close to his heart at all times. He notices that Rev wears one too and when he asks why, rev tells him it’s just a bullet from he and Jax were younger and struck up their blood brother pact. They had found the bullets along a back road and Rev emptied and cleaned them, filling them with sand and turning them into pendants that both the boys still wear. RJ makes a crack about Rev winding up like him after all when Rev tells him the relationship he and Jax have is thicker than blood. )))
