#I used to live in a dorm- in Japan and I kind of imagine the HoL to be similar? ~15 rooms but one bathroom with two toilets and three sinks

Living together in a big house with one (main) (shared) bathroom means that mornings can be tough.
When you first arrived at the House of Lamentation, it was hard to fit in. It was really hard to get into the bathroom in the mornings and fight six demons for use of the sink. If more than two others were in there at the same time, they practically formed a living wall that blocked you out, forcing you to wake up extremely early or risk being late for school.
That got better over time though. You gradually managed to fit into the house's morning routine.
---
Lucifer has his morning routine down to an exact science. Usually he's fully dressed and has his hair brushed before leaving the bedroom. He might be running on pure muscle memory though - one time you handed him a warm washcloth for his face and he just stared at it in confusion for several seconds with a furrowed brow. He has no problems getting it himself, but this break in routine gave him pause. It took Lucifer a moment to realize what it was and to thank you.
If you get the chance to eat breakfast together, Lucifer likes to ask about your day. "What do you have planned? Remember, we have that meeting at five. Did you prepare for the ancient hex exam?" He might slide a bit of his food onto your plate before he goes, a way of returning the pleasant energy boost you always provide for him.
---
Mammon can hustle. Which means that Mammon can get up early if it benefits him in some way. A part time job, an early bird discount, a chance to slip past Lucifer's defenses and borrow some cash.
That doesn't mean it's easy. Waking up takes some serious effort. Mammon will stumble into the bathroom to do his business first thing in the morning, yawning with his eyes half closed and tugging up whatever pants he just tossed on for modesty.
The tsundere part of his brain takes a few minutes to kick in if he's just woken up. If he spots you, Mammon will demand a good morning hug and wrap his arms around you, deaf to your cries of "Mammon! Go wash your hands before you touch me!"
---
Leviathan is always groaning in the morning. He's probably not aware of it. He's probably muttering complaints but is too tired to actually speak the words properly. His blankets are always a tangled mess, wrapped unevenly around his feet and contorted around his body, but Leviathan can easily Houdini his way out of them when it's time to get up. If there's no event or livestream to wake up early for, he'll sleep in for as long as he can before starting the day with a nice shower.
He finds warm running water to feel so pleasant and you can often find Leviathan spacing out next to the faucet. He'll greet you with a sleepy "ah, morning," and accidentally splash you in an attempt to wave his hand. The embarrassment and slight panic from getting you a towel to dry off with is usually enough to properly wake him up, and he sheepishly exits the bathroom and guards the door until you've finished changing into dry clothes.
---
Satan can hardly even put his shirt on properly when fully awake.
The man's a sleepy mess when he tries to get dressed in the morning. He'll stay up all night to finish a book he's invested in, then stumble out of his room "ready to go" when it's time for breakfast. His pants are unzipped and the button is coming undone. He's only got one sleeve on and it's on the wrong arm, or the buttons on his shirt are all misaligned and half have been skipped over.
He doesn't protest anymore when you tidy him up. Some mornings he'll doze off while you straighten his tie and fall forward into you, then try to play it off as a hug. Satan doesn't want to let go though, you feel so much warmer on a chilly morning.
---
Asmodeus is a rare morning riser. Too much sleep is bad for the skin, he claims. If he has trouble getting up, he'll either go soak in his private tub for energy or seek you out.
"You have to hear what happened last night," he'll say, strolling into your room while there's still ten minutes left on your alarm. He sits on the edge of your bed, and if you try falling back asleep he pulls you up into a sitting position. "Listen to this, you won't believe it!"
Asmodeus isn't afraid to get touchy if it means you'll wake up faster and he gets your attention. He'll sit you in his lap, or press you against his side, or run his hands down your face and squish your cheeks with a mischievous smile.
When the main bathroom is too crowded to use you're free to borrow his, with the caveat he gets to style you for the day and you might be late when he gets overzealous.
---
Beelzebub can also be found awake in the mornings. The quiet hours before everyone else wakes up are best for stretching, taking jogs, and grabbing a pre-breakfast appetizer. He'll get spooked if he hears footsteps approach the kitchen and slam the fridge door shut in a hurry, but all is well when he sees you enter the room instead of Lucifer.
Beelzebub is a big guy who takes up a lot of space. When you run into each other in the bathroom and are rushing to get ready, it's easy to bump into him. On days he's still pretty tired, he might not even notice you bonk your head against his arm. That's fine though - you don't want him to notice you until he's brushed his teeth. After all, Beelzebub's morning breath is a potent magical weapon.
If you need the bathroom sink while he occupies it, Beelzebub is kind enough to nudge you in front of him (once you've confirmed his mouth is minty fresh). You both get to use the mirror this way, and you can both see each other's smiling faces.
---
Belphegor is the king of oversleeping. The powers of you and his twin combined are hardly enough on some days, but mostly the responsibility of waking him falls to you. You quickly learned it's best to wake him from behind his head, if you can manage to maneuver your way into a suitable spot to do so. Anywhere his limbs can easily grab you will result in being pulled into bed. He's like a sleeping kraken.
You suspect that Belphegor wakes up easier than he lets on, but he feigns ignorance. He insists he was totally fast asleep when you struggled to physically drag him down the hallway towards the bathroom, wrapping your arms tightly around his torso with all your strength. And when he clung on to your waist and nuzzled his head into your stomach. And when Beel came to help free you from Belphegor's clutches, but he rolled you under him and muttered "mine now."
Definitely fast asleep, doesn't remember a single thing.

Note
I don't suppose you wanna do an isekai reader for jjk too? I /loved/ the one you did for one piece and would love to see your take on it with jjk characters too!
I swear, some of you read my mind. I wanted to write for Isekai reader but didn't know if anyone would want to read it, since people mostly seem to want to read The Last of Us stuff (I'm not complaining, I love your support). Though, I couldn't resist writing my thoughts below. I would love to write more of this, so feel free to request.
The reader being transported to the world of Jujutsu Kaisen would be fundamentally different than let's say, One Piece or Genshin Impact since the world of Jujutsu Kaisen is mostly the same to modern day Japan, minus the curses. So, when the reader gets transported there, they're not really going to know the difference until they see one of the characters.
The smartest decision in this case would to be to avoid them at all costs, since it's likely that if you mingle with their affairs, you could end up in big trouble. This would work for a while, since I don't imagine you would have high curse energy due to the fact that you're from another world.
However, your presence alone raises suspicion, as some sorcerers are able to tell that you just don't belong. Like I said however, you're able to mask it easily, playing off your aloof and strange behavior as due to the fact that you're a foreigner.
Gojo is definitely the first one you officially meet, him befriending you because he finds you interesting. It isn't until a few weeks of knowing you that he starts to pick up on how weird your presence is.
He starts to think you're some weirdo kid, because when he investigates you, he can't seem to find anything about you. No parents, no friends, no education. It like you just appeared out of nowhere. He knows you can't be a curse, so who are you. He struggles for a while before just asking you.
Gojo doesn't believe you when you explain your situation. Though, it wouldn't be the weirdest thing in the world. He's surprised that a world without curses exists, but kind of disappointed that it's fundamentally the same to his world. Gojo wants to believe you're crazy but can't really come up with a better explanation for why you irk him so much. You choose not to tell Gojo about the fact that you knew him already, or the fact that you knew him at all, since that would only complicate things.
Gojo agrees to help you find a way back home, his explanation being that he's bored and you're interesting, which doesn't make you feel better about your chances returning home. Gojo's idea of "help" is acclimating you to curses and his job as a sorcerer, since you'd have to get used to it eventually if you plan on being here for a while. He's not all bad, he lets you stay at him home while you find a place to live and work. He's not always around, his teaching position taking up most of his time.
When he is with you, he goofs around a lot, gossiping about his students with you. Your time with him allows you both to build a nice friendship, Gojo happy that there's someone who actually likes him, even if it's because you've never seen someone as strong as him. He likes how carefree of a kid you are, gleefully unaware of the dangers of this world.
Eventually Gojo does introduce you to his students, who absolutely love you. Gojo doesn't lie to them about your situation, telling they straight out that you're from another world. Most of them don't believe him, however some, namely Yuji, want to believe it's real. Yuji is fascinated with the idea of you being some insanely strong Jujutsu sorcerer from another world, even when you tell him that's not the case. Eventually, the others warm up to you and the idea that you come from another world.
The students absolutely love you and encourage you to move into the dorms with them. Gojo is against it, since you technically aren't and a student. It's definitely not because he doesn't want you to move out with him. You also decline, saying you need to find your own place since you're on your own. Gojo knows that isn't happening. You're just a kid, you don't need to live on your own.
You spend a lot of time with the students, mostly the first years, however they all like being with you. Yuji and Nobara love asking you questions about your world, only stopping when Megumi forces them to leave you alone so he can hang out with you in peace. Speaking of Megumi, he doesn't really ever believe that you're from another world, but he can't deny the feeling of pride he gets when you see how strong he is during training.
The second years also love you and are sad they didn't get to meet you sooner. The only one who really believes you is Toge, Panda and Maki both thinking isn't bull. However, they find you interesting, so they don't mind it. The all hate that they can't spend as much time with you, since your closer to the first years, and there definitely a little rivalry between them.
The whole time you're there you haven't really had to deal with any curses, Gojo being there to protect you at all times. However, that doesn't mean they aren't aware of you. Sukuna, sadly, is one of the first curses you meet since Yuji's his vessel. You don't really worry about him, since Yuji has him under control, but you never know how he's feeling, which makes you kind of nervous. You try to avoid talking about your world around Yuji, since you're afraid of how Sukuna might react.
Sukuna himself goes through an emotional roller-coaster when it comes to you. At first, he sees you as nothing as a crazy human who is vessel is obsessed with. However, as Yuji spends more time with you, he starts to warm up to you. You intrigue him, and he eventually starts to view you as his crazy human. If you ever get caught up in battle and Gojo isn't there to protect you, Sukuna is demanding Yuji get you to safety. He denies that he cares about you, but his behavior says it all.
You meet Getou and his followers later, Getou being surprised that Gojo is so obsessed with some week human. I image that he knows about you, stalking you when he's in Tokyo. Like Sukuna, he doesn't really care about you at first, however as he continues to learn about you, he starts to understand why Gojo is so obsessed with you. He sees you as someone who needs protection, and he's the only one who can provide that. You don't see him often, but when you do, he's trying to convince you to leave the sorcerers and gone him, so he can protect you.
When Getou can't watch over you, he's getting one of his lackies to watch you for him. Usually, Mahito watches over you, much to Getou's hatred. Getou knows how spontaneous Mahito is, and so he really dislikes whenever he messes with you. However, Mahito finds you absolutely adorable. You're just some small, defenseless, human who he could destroy in one blow. Not that he would do so! He just finds you so interesting. So many strong sorcerers and curses are obsessed with you, even though you're nothing special. Maybe it's your soul? He doesn't know. He'll have to wait until Getou's ready to take you to find out.
You're never going home. That's for curtain. With the strongest curses and sorcerers obsessed with you, you're never going to get the opportunity. Gojo constantly tries to get you to forget about leaving, claiming that his students would be devastated if you left, which is true. Gojo works with his students to make sure that you never have the opportunity to leave, since one of them are constantly with you. It gets overwhelming; however, they always claim that it's for your protection. Honestly, their possessiveness might just push you towards the curses, though it's not likely since Gojo won't allow it.
A/n: I'm going to scream, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 isn't free on Crunchyroll.

wanted to start posting updates of my life even though nobody is really reading 😫. ive been having a really tough time and i need some positivity in my life to look back on when i feel down or unmotivated. I just want to stop being scared of the world and start taking better actions i can feel proud of 🥺❤️
im actually kind of excited, which i dont feel often!? 2024 feels like its going to be my year. i want to take care of myself and really work on my mental health which needs a lot of love and pampering and big hugs and smooches right now muah 😘
sometimes i forget that i am only 24 and that my life shouldn’t be given up on just yet. I always had this lingering feeling that i would die early based on my mental state or something else happening. even if i was to die early, i want to know that i lived a good life even if it was for a couple of years. i would rather die knowing that i accomplished some very cool things ive always wanted to do than die knowing i stayed the same person for the rest of my life. i want to die happier than i was last year or today.
some small things i want to do this year (some of them will sound very silly and miniscule):
1. bake something from a recipe i saved on youtube
2. post more art on tumblr, especially my OCs and fan art of shows i used to enjoy. learn more art tricks and tips so i can replicate the way i exactly imagine my art to be like !!
3. find a good job for the summer, hopefully one that is full time and i can make good connections and money with 🥺
4. finish this semester knowing i did my best to go to the library and study as much as i can! hopefully pass with a 3.8 overall (i have never gotten over a 3.1 overall since i started university a couple years ago…so lets see where this goes
5. find something i’m very passionate about as i get close to finishing my degree.
6. do more activities with current friends and make new friends
7. make some cool nail art with my polygel nail kit
8. move out of campus dorms and into an apartment with friends this year.
9. start writing again and work on my webcomic
10. learn japanese again so i can visit my friends in japan and impress them with how much ive improved!!
11. learn front end development
12. eat healthy full meals instead of skipping them and snacking throughout the day
13. be the positive happy and kind girl i miss being! ever since i had started going to uni here, my attitude has gotten worse and i feel like i am a bit too mean and sensitive now, but no more of that !
14. get my learners!
15. grow and pamper my lovely natural hair
i dont think this is all but i think its a good start while i make an official goals list for 2024💪🏾

I'm up for another Sakusa angst... Yay?
I guess, I hope you guys enjoy reading?
I'm sorry if I made you cry...
All characters are aged up!
Tumblr media
Sakusa Kiyoomi
Tumblr media
It has been exactly 11 months, 11 days, and 11 hours since you two have decided to end the relationship.
The break was inevitable. You were studying in the States, and he is a professional athlete who has little to no time to visit you.
No matter how much you want to fix the relationship, it was beyond repair.
You started to count the days that you two have broken up for as a way to cope, but it was unhealthy for you, mentally.
Sure, your studies were going better after the breakup, but you ended up drinking till your wasted in your tiny apartment.
Seeing how happy he was on his social media platform makes you wonder if you were the one who caused the break-up after all.
Even though you two agree mutually to the breakup, it was harder on you.
You lost so much weight, and your complexion was too pale to be considered healthy.
Roll in the best friends; they practically filled your fridge and made sure you were eating your three meals.
After you gained back to a healthy weight, they took you out for a makeover trip and got you a closet makeover as well.
You got back into your school life and leaned on your friends for support, but how could you ever forget the good memories that you made with Sakusa as well.
Your friends helped you pack any momento or gifts that he gave you into a box and send it back to him since you two have broken up and as a proper closure for you two.
But there was just one thing that you can't bear to part with, his personal hoodie that he first gave you when you two started going out in high school.
Your friends had a hard time trying to persuade you to part with it but gave in to you.
Inside the box, you included a letter address to him, your one last letter to him.
It goes likes this...
Dear Mimi or Kiyoomi,
This would probably be the last time that I address you like that. I know we have decided to end our relationship, and it's all my fault even though you said it's no one's fault. I'm going to return these because these were the gifts that you gave me. You can burn or throw them away; it's all up to you. The break-up was rough, but thanks to it, I grew a lot from it. I know you recently got a new girlfriend, good for you, you look genuinely happy with her, guess I held on to you too long? I'm sorry for breaking the promise first. I'm sorry for breaking your heart; I'm sorry that I cannot be there for you. Thank you for the wonderful memories that you left me. I never stop loving you and will always be there for you.
With love,
Your first.
You wiped away the tears and signed off and place it on top of everything, and prepared to mail it.
For the first time after your break up, you felt some kind of relief.
After you mailed it out, you and your friends went for some good old Korean barbeque and tons of alcohol.
You were so drunk that your friends carried you home, and all of them stayed in your apartment, in case something happens to you.
You posted some pictures of you having a good time with your friends and knocked out from the huge amount of drinks you had.
Tumblr media
He thought he would live his life as normal after the breakup, but he couldn't.
Everything just was not the same. The routine that he has built around you, he has to change it.
You were not in his life anymore.
Atsumu tried to cheer him up by setting him up with some of his friends, and sure they had good personalities, but they were just not you.
After months of trying to date, he finally met the one.
He was finally able to smile and be back to the normal him.
His team was relieved that he was not in his depressed state and living well.
Atsumu and Bokuto still keep in close contact with you, following you on their social media platforms.
When they thought he was not listening, he could listen to them calling you and face timing.
Based on Atsumu and Bokuto's reaction, he can tell that you are doing good.
He knows that your graduation was in a few weeks and you would continue to further your studies there.
Bokuto and Atsumu, along with some of your high school friends, were going to fly to the States to attend your graduation.
He wants to go to, but he has a new person in his life now.
A few days later, he received a box from your address.
He went to open the box in his dorm room, and it was the gifts and the letters you two exchanged since high school.
When he read the letter that you wrote him, he broke down.
You were his first love, the very first person that he made friends with, the very first person that made his heart skip, and the very one that made him the person that he is today.
It was bad. The feelings that he thought was once gone came back again.
He never stops loving you, and he will continue to love you as long as he can.
He needed some time away from dating and some time to heal.
The last gift he could give you was something that would last till you guys meet next time.
Tumblr media
Graduation came faster than you expected, and finally, you graduate successfully after going through all those obstacles. Your family and friends from Japan are here to celebrate this joyous event with you.
You took pictures with everyone, chatted with a few of your fellow graduates, and managed to make some new connections.
"Oh my god, why is her campus so big? Did we made it in time?"
"Of course not! What did ya think?!"
Your two favourite people are here too.
"Tsumu! Bokkun!"
You waved them over, and they were carrying a bouquet of flowers and a bunch of gifts.
They threw their arms around you and pulls you into their embrace, and it was heartwarming and suffocating. Imagine getting bear-hugged by two professional volleyball players.
"L-let me go!" You managed to squeeze out a call for help, and they immediately let you go.
"This gift, open when you are alone."
It was a small bag, but you could not help but wonder who gave you that gift.
- - -
After getting lunch with your family and friends, you went back to your apartment alone to start packing up for your new journey.
You were going to move to Korea for your Master's program. Most of your close friends knew about this and hook you up with their close contacts in Korea so that you would have some form of support in a foreign country.
While packing, you remember the gift that Bokuto and Atsumu told you to open when you are alone.
You grab it, and it was a letter and a blue velvet ring box.
Immediately you recognised the handwriting. That neat and clean handwriting would belong to none other than Sakusa himself.
Congratulations on your graduation.
I have received your mail, and there's so much that I want to say. I apologise for not making it to your graduation, but those two idiots are there to represent me. After receiving that box from you and that letter, I immediately broke up with her. I realised that my feelings for her were not genuine, and I was just using her as a rebound, and I break things off because I don't want to hurt her further.
I'll wait for you. I know this may sound far-fetched, but will you marry me?
I don't expect any replies, but please accept the ring if you agree to marry me.
If you reject me, you can return the ring to Atsumu.
I'll be waiting,
Sakusa Kiyoomi
This man...even he is at the other part of the world, he still manages to make your heart skip. You open the box and inside one of the most dazzling rings you have laid your eyes on.
And you recognise it.
It was a Harry Winston.
You used to joke to him in high school that you want it to be a Harry Winston ring when he proposed.
Now, it's not a joke. You slid the ring onto your left hand, and it fits perfectly.
You dialled the number that you know it like it's the back of your hand.
"You idiot, do you still love me after all this time? What's with the proposal? It's s-so lame." You sniffled over the phone.
"Really? Does that mean you are not taking me back? In high school, you said that you were going to kick my ass if I break up with you. You wanted a proposal with a Harry Winston, right?" Hearing his voice, you broke down.
"I-I m-missed y-you so much! Why do you still have so much effect on me? You bad man!" You wailed into the phone and hear his deep chuckles.
"Oh my, you became more of a baby after we broke up. Do you want to see me now?"
"What? You mean facetime?"
"No, come to the park near your apartment building."
You grabbed your coat and rushed out of your building. There's no way he is here. No way. How could it be...
And he was there. With his arms wide open and a small smile on his handsome face.
"H-how? I-What? You idiot!" You threw yourself into his embrace, and he wraps his arms around you, and you sobbing in his chest.
"I flew in, of course. I got the timing right." He cups your face gently to make you look up to him. Then he saw the ring on your left hand and kisses you on the lips.
You shut your eyes and savours the kiss that was needed after being apart for so long.
"Sakusa Kiyoomi, you are one crazy man." You shook your head and kiss his lips again.
"Yeah, I'm crazy for you." He kisses you again for a long time.
Tumblr media
I can't end it with a sad ending; I'm sorry to you guys if you wanted a sad ending. I'm crazy for soft Sakusa.
I love him.
I hope you guys enjoy reading this!
Thank you for reading!
Stay safe and take care!
With love,
Rosalie🍓

Bubble ♡︎ | Na Jaemin
Genre : Fluff humor
You’re subscribed to Jaemins bubble, excited just like every other fan to recieve his message for today until his new messages don’t seem like the others.....
-—————————————————————————
“What’s taking so long ?” You stared blankly at the LYSN* app while stretching your legs onto your leather couch.
You switched over to the Twitter app and scrolled through your timeline, briefly reading through whatever was the latest topic on nctzen Twitter. One tweet caught your attention which made you chuckle out loud
Nananotifs: “I’m pretty sure Haechan finally threw Jaemin’s phone out of the dorm window bc.......”
All Nanadoongies gathered on Twitter to complain about the absence of Jaemin especially since he was the only one who hadnt reposted Chenle’s beloved pup Daegal.
You sighed and switched back to the LYSN app and noticed you were able to send one more message to Jaemin before the app blocks you off until he sends a new message.
Y/n: nana I miss you please say something
JAEMIN: y/n did you eat today ? I’ve missed you!
Your eyes widened at the immediate message you received from your ult. Was is coincidental ? Ofcourse it was, they don’t get notifications from fan messages do they ?
You immediately switched over to Twitter already seeing the bubble update account sharing Jaemins new message along with the entire timeline screaming over his activity.
~boominana: “how dare he act so normal I’m gonna cry !!!!”
~jaeminjenos: “post a selfie Jaemin don’t be shy”
~dreamies023: “he’s probably busy guys let him post when he wants to”
The last account was right. Jaemin was probably so busy. It was nice that he still found time out of his schedule to message nctzens and that’s what you loved most about him.
Y/n: Jaemin you’re stressing everyone out on Twitter lol let us know you’re doing ok we love you !
JAEMIN: am I ? :/
Was it a delayed message ? You shook your head and decided it was probably just another glitch on the app.
Y/n: yes stop ghosting us !
JAEMIN: ghosting ? ㅋㅋㅋ so dramatic
You froze. There was absolutely no way that from the tons of messages he would be recieving right now that yours would be the one he read and responded to.
The interaction made your heart race and quickly switch over to Twitter, it was probably chaos right now wondering what Jaemins messages could mean.
Silence.
Everyone on the timeline moved on from Jaemins first message and there were no updates on the messages you had just received from him.
PING!
JAEMIN: y/n ~ are you not going to answer me ? How am I ghosting you :(
This could not be real. You felt a lump in your throat as you checked over your other bubble subscriptions which all seemed fine except for his. You had no idea how to feel or what to do.
Y/N: this is weird. Send me a selfie so I know you’re actually replying to me and not a bot -_-
About 15 minutes went by and you stared at the open chat. He had read your message but there was no reply.
“Humh it was a bot after all” you huffed, about to close the app when your phone pinged and you saw Jaemins name pop up.
A voice note.
“Hey y/n, I hope I’m saying your name correctly hehe So long story short I think the chat glitched and your name and profile pic added itself to my own bubble. Weird right ? Mark Hyung told me I should send a voice note because it will make you believe me a bit more and .....well we would know if you posted on Twitter which CANNOT happen hahaha you understand right ?”
What was happening right now.
You pinched yourself to make sure you didn’t accidentally fall asleep on the couch and start having a very eerie realistic dream.
JAEMIN: I know you’re shocked rn but I really enjoy reading your replies haha it was the best part of my day and well I couldn’t help myself today. I wanted to tease you lol
Y/N: wait so how long has this “glitch” happened for ?
JAEMIN: hmmm....about a month now I think...after you renewed your account I think hehe
Y/N: what ??? Omg I’m so embarrassed......
JAEMIN: there’s nothing to be embarrassed about trust me. I’ve read everything czennies have sent me haha I find it amusing.
You exhaled deeply and scrolled through some of the messages you have sent him during this month and thankfully none of them were cringeworthy.
Y/N: so...now what? Should I speak to app support and fix this....unsubscribe or something....
JAEMIN: LOL youre really funny. Imagine finding out you can speak to someone from your fav idol group and you want to call tech support ...LOL so funny Mark Hyung is laughing
You felt your cheeks heat up at the image of Na Jaemin and Mark Lee laughing at your messages.
JAEMIN: please don’t be embarrassed y/n ! I only did this bc well I have your profile now and you’re really cute.
This was NOT happening.
Y/N: Uh......
JAEMIN: what do you have a boyfriend ? ....
Y/N: no I don’t I’m just....it’s nothing never mind
JAEMIN: LOL so cute! So do you have Kakao ?
Y/N: you want my number ? Why ? .....
JAEMIN: to talk to you obviously! What if they fix the glitch and I’ll never be able to talk to you again..
Jaemin wanted to talk to you. He was trusting you wholeheartedly to add him on his private account. Did he have an idea of the kind of person you were ? How could he possibly risk his career to a nobody ?
Y/N: I do have kakao it’s YN_0023.... Jaemin I won’t say anything but are you sure this is okay ?
JAEMIN: yeah I’ll video call you and we can talk about it ...adding you now. Clear this chat after you get my text!
VIDEOCHAT ?
Is he absolutely insane ? Maybe the voice note was fabricated. Maybe this was some weirdo trying to prey on innocent fangirls. Maybe -
Nana00: heyyyyyyyyy :)
Y/n: hi Uhm is this ...Jaemin ...
Nana00: yup (inserts a pic with your username on a sheet of paper)
Y/n: holy shiiiiit
By now you were already pacing across your entire apartment trying to come to terms with what was going on in your life right now. It became a force of habit to constantly check Twitter and make sure by chance somebody mentioned a glitch of some sort or SM announcing that the app is under construction or SOMETHING.
‘This couldn’t be real’ you thought.
Nana00: lol you’re so funny so are you free to video call ?
Y/n: Uhm......are you sure that’s a good idea ?
Nana00: yeah I mean firstly I would like to know you’re real too lol and also I want to know if I can trust you with this information.....it’ll be quick I promise
Y/n: well....okay give me 10minutes please
Nana00: lol sure :)
After scrambling to your bathroom to make yourself a little presentable as if you just won a video call event for your ult, you finally set on a laidback look so it doesn’t look too obvious that you put a little effort in.
You decided to prop your phone on the mini tripod on your desk so the lighting from your bedroom window in front of you bounced off your skin perfectly.
Y/n: okay I’m ready. I’m a little shy so.....sorry if I can’t talk much...
Nana00: you don’t sound shy when you talk about me on bubble hehe ;)
You buried your face in your hands and groaned. The embarrassment was still eating at you and Jaemin was not letting you live those messages down.
Ring Ring Ring......
You saw your phone light up and Jaemins kakao profile picture fill your screen.
With a shaky finger you press the recieve button and watch as the pixelated video start to clear up, presenting a very smiley Na Jaemin.
“Hi there” he said in his high voice and a bright smile on his face. He seemed to be sitting at his desk as well, hair still wet from either a rainy day or a shower.
“Uhm hi” you replied shyly and waved awkwardly.
“So this is the face behind the bubble profile huh”
“I guess so” you replied. It seemed as though you were calm and collected but on the inside you were screaming. Screaming that you were conversing with one of your favourite people right now.
“Good! Sorry to ask this again but did you clear the chat on bubble ? We have to be careful with that” he said in a concerned voice.
“Yeah I did after you sent the pic I finally realized it was definitely you so I went ahead and did it” you quickly said, kinda embarrassed by how fast your words came out.
Jaemin chuckled.
“You still doubted me after the voice note?”
“Just a little”
“You’re so adorable it’s ridiculous you know that ?” He gleamed and neared the screen, his deep brown eyes focusing on yours “ where are you from y/n?”
“Well I live in a lot of places but my hometown is _______. I learnt most of my korean while studying here in Osaka weird enough” you shrugged.
You moved to Japan for your first year of university since it was where you sort of grew up as a kid and took up extra korean classes once settled in the city.
“Osaka ?? Wow I love Japan I can’t wait to go back! Well now I kinda have an excuse to go” he winked sending your heart into a frenzy.
You giggled shyly “is this the fan service everybody talks about ?
“Fan service is a job....this is different I’m sure you know that y/n haha”
“All of this because of my profile picture ?”
“Well” Jaemin bit down on his lip as his eyebrows turned into a frown
“I obviously saw your pic and thought you were very cute but a big part of it was your messages and how you would always message me when I most needed it.”
“My messages are very random” you chuckled.
“Still made me smile throughout my day and that means a lot” he said and ran his fingers through his hair “so it’s kinda selfish of me to say, but id like for you to update me...personally”
“Na Jaemin are you asking me to be your own personal bubble account ?” You raised your eyebrow.
“Yeah pretty much” he shrugged “I’ll repay the subscription when I see you Osaka.”

Okay but imagine Shouto having an uncharacteristic fascination with you. Someone who has already turned down half the boys in the class and, oddly enough, never allow anyone to get too attached to you. He noticed how you distanced yourself from your friends in the general studies class. Never being mean to them but at the same time, keeping them at arm's length to ensure that they just knew you as the classmate in gen Ed.
Like I said, he was uncharacteristically fascinated with you. And keeping with this OOC theme, he decides to get to know you. He would ask you all kinds of questions and do his damnedest to know just who you were. It's the night he shows up to you dorm past curfew and takes you up to the roof to talk some more and watch the stars that you finally level with him.
My quirk is slowly killing me and I don't know when I will just... Because I am having real sad boi hours right now.
You explained to him that it was rare for people to have a quirk that is harmful to themselves especially in this degree.
One out of 200,000 and I just happen to be that one.
After hearing this, Todoroki finally understands why you never let people close. It wasn't because you didn't like them, the opposite really. If they got too close, then they would be hurt in the end when you suddenly disappeared. Only a handful of people knew. All Might, Aizawa, Recovery Girl, Principal Nezu, and now him.
After you left the roof, Shouto made it his goal in life to make sure that you experienced everything you could out of life. It was a win win because there were so many things he'd never experienced so you both would be living together.
Tbh has to ask the class for advice on fun things to do but leaves out the detail of your quirk
So over the past year You and Shouto have been inseparable; only parting ways when need be. He's taken you to theme parks, movies, you've taken the trains to different parts of Japan. All the while he made you forget that you had something that was slowly taking you away.
Throughout all this you were scared however. Shouto had told you about his childhood and how it was not the best to put it lightly. You could see it in his eyes, the attentiveness they had, how his touches would linger, his heartbeat would quicken when you hugged, the dilation in his eye whenever he saw you.
He loved you. And to make matters worse, you loved him. This was another reason you didn't want to get attached. The heart was such a fragile thing. And Shouto had already been through so much. You didn't want to do this to him. You figured you needed to end this.
One morning, when it was so early the sun wasn't up and the birds not yet singing. Shouto showed up to you house to go for a drive during the summer break. He took Endeavor's and you both went down to the beach.
The pile of rocks seemed to beckon you both as you sat there staring out at the horizon with the crisp air and sounds of crashing waves taking over your senses. He wanted to take you to see the sunset where he heard it was most beautiful by some classmates. It was sweet and it made your heat break
Hey can I-
Do you mind if-
You both laughed as he scooted closer to you and started again.
"Sorry Y/C, but I just wanted to say that. Even though we have only gotten to know each other within the year, I feel at home with you." Your heart beats faster at his words. You knew where this was going but you kept your focus on the slowly rising sun. "The time I've spent with you was amazing."
He rested his hand on yours causing you to jump and now look into his beautiful eyes. The wind and crashing of wave spraying tiny droplets onto his swaying hair.
"Y/C, I truly lov-"
"DON'T!" Your hands flew to his mouth, you hated to ruin the moment but this all felt wrong. "Please-Please don't say it." Tears formed at the corner of your eyes. You removed your hands, "This-this is exactly why I didn't want to get close to anyone. I lead you one Shouto. This can't happen between us you know that right?"
He was dumbfounded and you were nearly crying. "You were going to say that you loved me, right? You love me when you know that I can't stay with you Shouto. I didn't want to do this to you. And you know what, I love you too." You sniffed and tried to calm yourself not bothering to look at him. "But it doesn't matter for me, right?" A bitter laugh escaped your lips, "You know maybe, I was wrong; I-I jumped the gun. Maybe you were just gonna say something about how great of a friend I am or whatever. Living in limbo is just my life at this point. Don't say that you love me Shouto. I don't think my heart can take it."
A beat passed. The waves against the rocks the only melody to fill the silence. Were you actually wrong? Was this made up in your head? Did you-
You suddenly felt your head out not of your accord and a pair of lips on your. It wasn't a soft kiss. No. This was desperate, pleading. Todoroki kissed you as if he was the one thing that would make this curse within you finally leave. He held you so close against him and let his hands glide against your back and grip your hips with reckless abandon. And you kissed back with the same amount of passion. Meeting his movements with equal fervor. Letting him know that despite what you said, my wanted him just as much.
When the kids broke, both parties were breathless and foreheads met as small pants escaped.
"W-why?" Even if it was whispered, with a slight doleful tone, deep down you were happy. You even had a smile on your face.
Todoroki chuckled, "Because you told me not to say it, so I decided to show you."
Your eyes opened to him and he gazed right back at you, "I meant what I said Y/C, I want to keep spending time with you. As much as you have to offer and as much as the universe is willing to give."
Sorry this was supposed to be short😞 also no read more button because I wrote this in bed and idk if we can add that on mobile, please don't hate me😞😞😞

an absolutely massive Haikyuu!! fic rec pt. 2
IwaOi this time around. My favorite ship. The world’s favorite ship...there’s so many
Undecipherable, by ioo (4k. G. canonverse)
I’m pretty sure the author meant ‘indecipherable’, nevertheless! I am appalled that this work doesnt have more hits. Y'all are sleeping on it and that's not okay.
The sound of the door slamming against the wall has Hajime startling back to the present. He looks at the source of the disturbance and finds himself face to face with Oikawa, red in the face with breathlessness and a leather-bound notebook tightly clutched in both of this hands. When he spots Hajime, he makes a beeline for the bench and slaps it down right next to him.
"Koi no yokan," he says. "The sense one can have upon first meeting a person that the two of you are going to fall in love."
primavera, by tothemoon (8k. T. canonverse)
All of tothemoon’s works read so beautifully
They say it takes twenty-six years, for certain breeds to fully bloom.
Learning to Walk (So That We Can Run), by ricekrispyjoints (27k. M. canon-divergence)
I've read this work so many times. Like, so many times and I’ve never tired from it. Gorgeous. The shift from friendship to romance felt so natural, love it.
"I'm not healing like I should be."
In his second year of university, physical therapy just isn't cutting it. Oikawa's knee is getting worse, and he can't hide it anymore.
Or: the light angst, project-your-own-life-experiences-on-Oikawa knee surgery fic you didn't know you wanted.
Priorities, by weirdmilk (2k. T. canonverse)
Kissy, kissy.
‘I just -’ Oikawa begins, ‘it might be difficult to get married, sometimes, I think.’ He chews on his lip.
Iwaizumi makes a questioning noise.
‘Ah,’ Oikawa says, and then, in a rush, ‘if I didn't want a wife at all - what then? If I said that to you. If I told you I can’t see it. Like - the wedding dress. The bride. I just can’t see it.’
Iwaizumi swallows again, his heart beating much faster than the conversation warrants. He wonders whether Oikawa can hear it. ‘You’re eighteen. You aren’t supposed to see it yet.’ He snorts. ‘I mean - if we’re sharing shit, I’ve never even kissed a girl.’ He doesn’t mind admitting it. It’s not something that bothers him - he’s never prioritised girls very highly, and despite Oikawa’s largely undeserved status as Miyagi’s most eligible teenage bachelor, he doesn’t think Oikawa has ever wanted a serious relationship with any of his fan club, either.
Oikawa and Iwaizumi can't sleep before their first practice match with Karasuno.
Before Midnight, by fathomfive (2k. G. canonverse)
Reads like a fairytale.
The sky turns, the seasons turn over, and Iwaizumi and Oikawa track the movements of the stars. Nothing is ever quite constant, but it's close enough.
The grass is stiff with frost. They walk in silence past the raked-over vegetable garden and up the back hill, footsteps crackling, and stand side-by-side at the top of an incline that used to seem much bigger. Iwaizumi glances over but Oikawa’s already gone, eyes searching the sky with no hint of hurry, just a kind of reverent patience.
make a bet, keep a promise, by raewrites (13k. M. canonverse)
Bet still on.
Sometimes, in still moments, Iwaizumi wonders why out of all the people on earth he ended up with Oikawa Tooru. Why it’s his face that lingers on his fading conscious in the last moments before he falls asleep, in the first blurry seconds upon waking up again. Why when he looks to his side, he expects Oikawa to be there in the same way he expects to see five fingers on both hands, a natural extension of himself, ever present.
Why he can’t imagine a future without Oikawa in it.
It begins with a bet made between the two boys in the mid-summer of their eighth year. It starts with volleyball, but like with most things involving Oikawa Tooru and Iwaizumi Hajime, things are never quite that simple.
our hearts still beat the same, by knightswatch
two birds, by thelittlebirdthattoldyou (5k. T. canonverse)
Of heartbreaking letters and paper crane wishes.
Five months into the term, two months after he’s stopped replying to Oikawa’s texts, the first package arrives. A small square box, wrapped in brown paper and tied with string, and Hajime almost trips over it on the way to his dorm.
There’s a letter attached.
Oikawa doesn’t know how many times he’ll have to put his feelings down on paper before Iwaizumi believes them.
Through My Eyes, by anchoringsouls (2k. G. canonverse)
Okay! Okay, we were doing great with the soft, happy love up until the last part! That's great, just great!
“I think if you ever saw yourself through my eyes, you would fall in love with yourself the same way the way I did with you.”
in time it could be ours, by deusreks (3k. T. canonverse)
Anyone wanna go back in time and make a time capsule with me only to dig it up years later and we’re actually in love?
Set post Seijou's match with Karasuno. There's a moderate amount of rolling in the dirt. No pajamas were hurt in the writing of this fic.
There, in their joint backyard, was Oikawa Tooru, clad in his silly luminescent space pajamas, digging a hole near a cherry tree.
“What the hell, Oikawa.”
Tooru stubbornly continued digging. He looked pitiful in that moment; everything that was grand about him in daylight was meaningless in the darkness. He was only a boy with a shovel whose broken heart mirrored Hajime’s own.
we can do better than that, by spaceburgers (16k. M. canonverse)
Of course, of course, the IwaOi road trip fic. AnD thErE wAs ONly OnE bED!
Oikawa and Iwaizumi go on a road trip during the summer after their high school graduation. It doesn't go as expected, but maybe that's not such a bad thing after all.
They Say it Rains Diamonds on Jupiter, by exsao (35k. T. canonverse)
I don't know, just gorgeous. Hajime’s so in love.
"You're in love with him."
Hajime considers denying it. He considers deliberately choking on his drink to express surprise, to create a distraction by spitting onto the man in front of him's pristine white shirt and causing a commotion. Instead, he swallows his mouthful of soda and heaves a small sigh once his mouth is free.
"Yeah," he says instead.
He's never been good at lying, anyway.
Midnight boys/sunset town, by carafin (10k words. T. Housemates AU):
The author says they played off of the fact that Oikawa oftentimes forgoes his sleep in order to work, and wrote it so that he doesn't sleep at all. This was so cute, kinda sad, mostly not. Love how Iwaizumi just goes along with whatever crazy stilch Oikawa is on.
In which Iwaizumi Hajime grows a few chili plants, participates in an eating contest, breaks into a park, and falls in love with a man who doesn't ever sleep - not exactly in that order.
5 Reasons Why Iwaizumi Hajime's Flatmate Is A Complete Weirdo (An Incomplete List)
1. He's obsessed with that stupid bucket list of his.
2. He's the proud owner of seven truly ugly, criminally hideous movie posters with aliens on them, which he insists on pasting all over the damn living room.
3. He's always stealing Hajime's sweatshirts.
4. Sometimes, he wakes Hajime up for breakfast. At 5AM. On Saturday mornings.
5. He literally never, ever sleeps.
The Best I Ever Had, by FindingSchmomo (62k words. T. Canon-divergent):
You’ve read it, your mum’s read it, your dog has probably read it (you really need to take facial recognition for him off your phone, he’s got some weird nighttime habits). So basically this fic caused me physical pain and then pumped me full of morphine and now I’m good! Beautiful read, hated Oikawa for a while, Iwaizumi is the only boy I would ever feel safe alone with.
A story of separation and time lost. Oikawa and Iwaizumi lose contact, and life goes on. Now, a decade later and back in Japan, Oikawa wonders if he can pick the pieces back together, despite knowing Iwaizumi has moved on. A story of their past, present and future, pieced together by shaky hands.
darlin', your head's not on right, by aruariandance (13k words. T. canonverse)
Again, I’m pretty sure anybody who's anybody has read this fic and for good reason! Super sweet realizing you're in love fic. Makes me reconsider wanting to get married.
'“Our wedding,” Oikawa says by way of explanation, tapping his finger against his magazine more emphatically. “What colors should we use? Color scheme is important, apparently.”
Iwaizumi feels his lifespan shortening.
“I was thinking our Aoba johsai colors to go for more, you know, softer tones? Besides, I’ve always looked great in that sea foam green color. Oh, and I guess you look decent in it, too.” He grins, saccharine sweet, and Iwaizumi has never been so tempted to knock one of his perfect pearly white teeth right out of his stupid mouth."
or,
Oikawa teases Iwaizumi about a childhood promise he made to marry him when they were older, except suddenly it's not really a joke at all.
the courtship ritual of the hercules beetle, by kittebasu (66k. T. canon divergent)
Is this one of the most famous Iwaoi fic? I don’t know. Looks like it, I know it's my personal favorite. Where Oikawa studies bugs for a living and can’t seem to come to terms with his feelings. Very angsty, love that in a fic.
Tooru is pretty sure he could manage the mating habits of a mosquito. It’s the mating habits of people he can’t seem to get right.
 Terrarium, by sausaged (11k. T. Post-canon)
Honestly, I’m so surprised this fic doesnt have more hits! It’s so good! Made me ache! I love the memories and character growth shown through the growing of the terrarium, absolutely adore that kind of symbolism. So beautiful, give it some love because it's one of my absolute favorites.
He's practically a professional at being proactive (lies, lies, and lies when it comes to Iwaizumi).
At this point, is he really happy with just staying best friends forever? Will he be writing journals and collecting rocks forever (he will, he knows, but that is aside from the point)?
Can he really tag his Instagram photos with #YOLO if he doesn't actually put that phrase into practice?
A story about Oikawa Tooru, Iwaizumi Hajime, plants, and rocks.
Lips like sugar, by ohhotlamb (8k. T. canonverse)
Why did my childhood best friend never offer to help me practice kissing only for us to realize we were only interested in each other? I had a fake high school experience.
Hajime is offered to learn the art of kissing from a true professional, one Oikawa Tooru. It's not as bad as he thought it would be.
Falling Slowly, by bravely (commovente) (3k. T. canonverse)
So special, imagine loving one person, and one person only like this for the entirety of your life. This is getting too sappy, I want off of this ride.
over the years, some things change; but over the years, some things stay mostly the same.
(alternatively, mornings with oikawa and iwaizumi over the years).
No sleep in the city, by loveclouds (7k. T. canonverse)
Mass/volume = Iwaizumi, apparently. (Please. If anyone gets this absolutely horrific joke, lets elope).
Along their journey to find Tokyo's best ramen, Iwaizumi finds himself asked again and again why Oikawa is still single.
Time, by surveycorpsjean (5k. E. canonverse)
Growing older together.
When they're twenty-three, their story only begins.
Everything With You, by Ellessey (14k. E. canonverse)
Came damn near to crying, you can just feel Iwaizumi’s pain. Fight scene was probably the most emotion evoking one I’ve read in a long while.
‘Hajime still loves Oikawa, but he understands now. Oikawa can't look at him and see someone he could potentially date.
And that makes it easier to not focus on the little things that used to drive him crazy—Oikawa's long legs, the way he's always hanging off of Hajime, how his whole face changes when he gets ready for a jump serve, and he looks like he could take on the entire world and win.
This new arrangement though, this living together situation, is presenting a new set of variables that must be adjusted to, and the nakedness is one of them.’
--
For years, being Oikawa’s best friend has worked out fine. Hajime is hopelessly in love with him, but it’s enough. Then Oikawa—who, by all accounts, has never been anything but determinedly, assuredly straight—gets a boyfriend. Or a boy friend-with-benefits. Hajime doesn’t know, and he doesn’t give a shit about the definition.
What he knows is that remaining best friends is starting to seem a bit too painful (way too painful) to be considered a solid option.
The Best Best, by rikke (12k. T. canonverse/future fic)
Takeru is a whole mood. Don’t want kids, but I do want domesticity and this fic feeds me well.
“Congratulations, Iwa-chan! You’re a dad!” Iwaizumi hears as soon as the door opens. He’s dealt with Oikawa for all of his twenty-one years of age now, but this declaration is still sufficiently disturbing enough that he turns from his place on the couch and braces himself for whatever Oikawa has done this time.
Or the one where Iwaizumi and Oikawa babysit Takeru for a week.
cheek kisses, by ohhotlamb (G. 3k. Future fic)
Sooo cute!!
“Every time,” Hajime murmurs, “every time I see you again I remember how fuckin’ crazy I am about you.”
Routine, by snoqualmie  (2k. T. canonverse)
Again, anyone wanna be my childhood best friend so we can put face masks on each other and fall in love? I died, truly.
Iwaizumi is fourteen years old, horny too often and angry all the time, and he’s just starting to notice that Tooru’s legs are really long, that his lips are kinda soft looking, and his fingers feel good pressed under his jaw.
Thirty Years and Change (the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, by sunsmasher (19k. G. canon divergence)
Be wary, I would give this fic an upper rating to probably Teen and the follow-up fic is Explicit. But, Oikawa on the Japanese national team is just a dream as is, but add in a rekindling friendship and an angsty make out sesh? Mwah, delizioso.
It’s July 10th, 2024, and Oikawa Tooru is an Olympian. His smiling face airs on an NHK promo every 45 seconds. He’s captain of the national men’s volleyball team, reigning star of the professional leagues, and he hasn't spoken to Iwaizumi Hajime in two years.
He has, however, sent Iwaizumi tickets for the 2024 Los Angeles Summer Games.
“So go,” says Matsukawa's voice. “It’s only a few weeks. You’ve got a whole city to hide in if it gets awkward, and if it doesn’t get awkward, well…”
It’s like watching the future reconfigure, like being in high school again, watching team after team fall to Oikawa’s faultless planning and shameless charm.
“I’ll get to watch a whole lot of volleyball,” Hajime says, and resigns himself to fate and/or Oikawa Tooru.
“Hey, when you get there, can you bag a gymnast for me?” Hanamaki asks, and Matsukawa squawks.
Chasing Paper Suns, by carafin (10k. T. Future fic)
Again with the growing up and coming back together, this time with more angst than the last. Lovely, really lovely read.
Post-high school, Oikawa makes it to the national volleyball team but Iwaizumi doesn't. The next three years become an exercise in growing up without growing apart.
Some days Hajime likes to think of himself as Oikawa’s counterpart—the two of them blending into a single devastating unit, the invincible setter and his unyielding ace, the bond between them unbreakable and true. Other days he feels like he is chasing after a rising sun, always running and running with his eyes fixed on the distance, trying to cross a chasm that stretches on without end, caught in an endless and exhausting pursuit.
the yellow room, by ohhotlamb (14k. T. canonverse/future fic)
Makki and Mattsun see bullshit and call you out on your bullshit.
“I told you, we broke up like six months ago. We’re not dating anymore.”
Hanamaki eyes him suspiciously. “You live together.”
“Yeah, so?”
“There are pictures of you two kissing stuck to your refrigerator.”
Hajime shrugs. “That wasn’t my idea. Anyways, they’re good pictures. Good lighting.”
the river runs, by tothemoon (11k. T. post-breakup)
My heart ACHES. Happy ending, promise! Just read it.
One year since their breakup, Oikawa Tooru starts a list of daily reminders, tips, and tricks called HOW TO FORGET ABOUT IWAIZUMI HAJIME, and he’s determined to make it stick.
This is a firsthand account of how to deal (and rather spectacularly, at that).
I sure hope that guy gets fired, by Xov (29k. T. canonverse/time loop au)
The only thing better than one confession, is MULTIPLE confessions. Oikawa trusts Iwaizumi unshakably, and that's beautiful.
It was the fourth time experiencing the exact same day that Iwaizumi Hajime reluctantly admitted to himself that something was very wrong.
my only friend was the man in the moon (until i met you), by ohhotlamb (7k. T. canonverse)
Just so innocent and sweet. Oikawa said ‘effort’.
In which Oikawa has a life-altering revelation, and Hajime is starting to think it involves him.
Bet On It, by originalblue (13k. E. canonverse)
Tooru being nice for a week? That can only end one way… with a d*ck in Hajime’s mouth.
Hajime knows exactly how shitty Oikawa's personality is, and has no scruples whatsover about betting Oikawa six thousand yen that he can't be nice for an entire week.
especially for tender ones like us, by viverella (17k. T. canonverse/post break-up)
Gods! See? See what I mean? How could I forget about a work as heart wrenchingly beautiful as this? Give it some love, actually, all of the love.
The worst part of it all, Tooru thinks to himself sometimes, is that even as they fought and kicked and screamed and tore each other to shreds, it was never that Tooru stopped loving Iwaizumi any less. The worst part of it all, he thinks, is that loving Iwaizumi turned out to not be enough.
(OR: on finding the right person at the wrong time and learning how to pick up the pieces)
 sunset town, by skiecas (33k. T. canon-divergent)
Another work that I just CANNOT understand why it doesn't have more hits. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I almost cried.
In the summer of 2020, Oikawa Tooru returns home from his first successful stint as captain of Japan’s national volleyball team. In one hand, he holds the undisputed weight of an Olympic medal, and in the other, his unresolved feelings for a childhood best friend.
Two years down the road, reconciling his lifelong dream with his lifelong love proves to be the greatest challenge.
of odd numbers and intimate regrets, by bravely (commovente) (5k. T. post-canon/one night stand au)
Basically, Tooru and Hajime sleep together after not speaking for seven years and of course there’s feelings and angst and a belated chance at happiness and a life together.
Tooru’s spent the last seven years of his life in a carefully constructed schedule that is, he realises now, as much a habit as it was a way to forget about the person in front of him.
[or, the one night stand AU between two people more than friends but not quite lovers, measuring the passage of time in distance and long-gone memories, the expansion and contraction of the spaces between their fingers each time.]
cross my heart, open wide, by acchikocchi (7k. T. canonverse)
Super cute, super short. Realizing you're on a date with the wrong person one-shot.
For a minute Hajime doesn't know what to say. Everything and nothing crowds his mind, leaving no room to think. That he's never tried this. That volleyball's over. That he's graduating in five months. That it would be really nice, at least once, to go on a date with a good-looking guy.
Hajime goes on a date. It's not with Oikawa.
Fernweh, by oikawashoyo (19k. G. canonverse/post time skip)
A mature(ish) Tooru?? I love works that show Tooru growing and living happily in Argentina and this one is just beautiful. (Plus! Plus, Skai did a piece on it as well and I love ALL their work so you can visualize everything). Love it.
Argentina is stretching out before him, an opportunity, a challenge. He is reminded of his losses, his insecurities, his disappointments; sees them form a tall, tall wall blocking his path to success. He takes a deep breath and knows he is going to shatter it.
In which Oikawa's whole life is spent longing for the horizon — in the form of a dream, a home, and a boy.

Soft, soft sex
When, after completing their high school graduation ceremony and heading home to enjoy their freedom, Oikawa had pulled him into his room and pressed his lips hesitantly against Iwaizumi’s own, it seemed an inevitable development in the unfolding narrative of their shared existence.
Despite years of having a bed to himself, the sensation of another body taking up space in his sheets, curling against his chest, creating warmth, feels natural in much the same way.

Finally a fic where they don't freak out on confession and it's sweet.
“You seem—sad.” Was that the right word? Others sprang to mind: desperate, lonely, anxious.
Tooru looked away. “Are you going to make me say it?”
“Say what?”
Tooru folded his arms, sighed. “I missed you, of course.”
Hajime swallowed.
“No need to look that way. I told you, I’m not one of your macho man buddies. I’m allowed to say stuff like that without being embarrassed—”
“You’re being ridiculous,” Hajime complained. “No need to be so defensive. I’ve missed you too.”
“Oh?” Tooru seemed to get a little of his own back, leaning forward on his elbows. “What about me did you miss?”

This was more emotional than I thought a 6k friends with benefits fic could be, okay? Okay.
Wherein Hajime and Tooru are fuck buddies, Hajime curses his treacherous heart, and Tooru is bad with feelings.

I couldn't not include this work. It deals with internalized homophobia so well and I really resonate with it.
In all seriousness, I’m very lucky to live in a country where my sexuality is widely accepted and my heart goes out the LGBTQIA+ peoples who are forced to hide themselves. You are loved and your sexuality and gender-identity are not wrong and never will be.
Oikawa is nine when he first hears the word. The boys on the playground whisper it like it's dirty, like the way they daringly mutter the word fuck and then look over their shoulders to check their parents hadn't heard.
"You know Abe-kun from class?" they snicker, hands cupped around their mouths like they're passing along a filthy secret. "I hear his older brother is... gay."
Look For Him, by Leryline (18k. E. canonverse)
A collection of kisses. I love Hajime’s grandmother.
She laughs gently. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so heartbroken before, Hajime.”
Iwaizumi sighs and prods at the mackerel with a chopstick. “Sorry. I can’t help it. It’s just different, you know? Like Oikawa pissed me off so much that now he’s not here I don’t know what to do with myself.”
“But you weren’t always annoyed with him, were you?” his grandmother smiles serenely and takes a sip of her tea. “My, my, Hajime, old women see everything. I saw you out there with my finches, when you were kissing Tooru’s nose. Your mother and father used to do the very same thing, you know, when they were younger. And look how long they’ve lasted. I hope you and Tooru last, Hajime. He’s very good for you.”
-
Oikawa has kissed Iwaizumi more times than either of them can count; it’s a constant thing, their lips never really leaving the other’s skin. There are, however, times when they’ve kissed that are burned into their memories. Eight of them, to be precise.
film reel life, arsenicjay (8k. T. canon divergence)
Such a unique and creative idea! Reading from the eyes of a camera, so beautiful!
The only person Iwaizumi is lying to is himself, when he insists: I am not in love with Oikawa Tooru.
how to let your planets align, by tether (tothemoon) (15k. T. end of the world au)
This is the only remotely non-happy ending fic I will be including on here, and it's purely because it's a gorgeous read. And yes, I ached. Your lips, my lips, apocalypse.
It is the last day on earth, December 2nd, 1985, when you realize you're in love with him.

you and hajime started dating during your third year in high school.
it was a surprise to practically everyone who knew you two, but the both of you had promised each other that you’d keep it on the down low as you were getting to know each other. mostly bc the two of you had friends that never knew how to shut up.
and what you had between you wasn’t really anyone else’s business.
you’d comforted him when they’d lost to karasuno, telling him that it wasn’t his fault and that he’d done all that he could, and you told him that if he wanted to, he could play volleyball again, or do whatever he wanted.
he’d consoled you when you failed the one exam that you needed to pass to go to the university of your dreams and he encouraged you to take the make-up exam, studying with you and making sure you were more than prepared.
you were each other’s rock and you genuinely thought that you were going to last.
until you got into an argument which turned into a full-blown fight bc the two of you were moving away from each other to study your respective courses.
you were scared of long-distance bc you didn’t want to hold iwa back, iwa tried telling you that you could make it work, but as you insisted, he accused you of never really loving him and that you were just finding a way out.
ouch.
four years later, the both of you were college graduates, and something drew you both back to japan.
walking through your hometown felt strange. it was familiar, heartwarming, but at the same time it felt as if you were a tourist, discovering everything for the first time. it had been a while since you’d walked through the streets of miyagi, having gotten used to the streets of london so much that the peace and quiet was almost far too loud. you’d thought about it, staying in london and finding a job there, settling with a brand new life but part of you missed japan so much, your family, your friends … him.
“you know,” your friend looked at you pointedly as she wiped a vegetable piece away from the corner of her mouth, “he’s back in japan, right?” it was almost as if she was fighting a smirk.
a sigh left your lips as you shook your head a little bit, “i know… he posted something on instagram,” the subtle confession that you still followed him on social media came out as a grumble, because you knew that your friend would make it her priority to never let you live it down. which was why you’d never told her that you’d accidentally liked one of his posts.
her eyes widened to the size of saucers and she practically choked on her drink, batting at your upper arm, “you sly fox you, so you do follow him!” you halted her frantic movements by grabbing her wrist.
“i do, which is also how i know that he has a girlfriend,” it was almost comical, how your friend practically deflated at your comment, scowl growing on her face, “it’s been four years, it was bound to happen.”
still, seeing him with his arm around her shoulders made your heart ache and you had angrily swiped away at the tears that spilled down your cheeks, because it was your fault. keeping him back had never been your intention and that’s what you felt you would have done had you remained in a relationship together. all that distance, the drastic time difference, attending separate colleges full of new experiences. you wanted hajime to have the world.
it was almost as if fate was trying to play some sort of cruel trick on you, because as your mind raced with thoughts of your old high school boyfriend, you felt yourself collide with someone and as soon as you heard your name being uttered by the person in question, you swore your heart wanted to jump out of your chest.
“hajime…” his name tumbled out of your mouth in what practically could be constituted as a breathless gasp, as if seeing his face in person after four years had completely winded you.
the man in question took a slight step back, taking a good look at you, almost making sure that you were really in front of him, and not his imagination toying with him. “small world,” was his only comment as he scratched the back of his head, awkwardness settling between you two as you wrapped your arms around yourself, the chill in the air suddenly very prominent.
“would you like to get some-” “i was going to go get some” the both of you spoke at the same time, nervous words overlapping each other. “coffee…” a smile as your shared thoughts fell together in perfect harmony, as if nothing had changed.
Tumblr media
you had walked to the coffee shop in silence, questions of why you’d agreed to get coffee with your ex racing through your mind but the reason was simple … you didn’t want to walk away from him, not yet at least. sneaking glances at him while he grabbed your coffees made your heart thump faster than it had in a while, reminiscent of the first time you’d went on a date together.
there was a slight fear that it would be far too awkward to handle, but the two of you fell into a comfortable conversation, telling stories of your college days, how you’d gotten so drunk one time that you ended up stealing a plant and taking it back to your dorm, or how he’d once gotten so hungry during a late study session that he and his friends went to a mcdonalds drive through, even though they didn’t have a car.
you laughed until your face hurt, and you hadn’t realised, but the two of you had instinctively gotten closer to each other, and his arm had ended up wrapped around your chair, you leaned over and shoved him whenever he said something to tease you.
it was as if these four years apart never happened.
as your shared laughter died down and you finished off your drink, iwaizumi looked down at his lap and shook his head slightly, chuckling to himself and making you smile softly, “what?” you questioned, poking his shoulder.
“it’s still you, you know?” he looked up at you, eyes locking with yours as he gave a slight shrug of his shoulders, “the person i see by my side at the end of the day.”
his words hit you like a punch to the gut and you almost forgot how to breathe. you cringed, nose burning as tears tickled the corners of your eyes as you pushed your chair back, standing up and grabbing your belongings, holding them close to your chest as you rushed out of the coffee shop.
you could hear him calling for you, but the blood had rushed to your ears and you were trying your hardest to keep from crying, but as soon as you felt his hand around yours, you spun around and shoved at his chest, once, twice, tears dripping freely onto the pavement, cheeks burning red with anger and sadness, heart that was excitedly jumping around, now quietly sitting in the corner, thumping cautiously as you felt him grab at your hands to stop you from hitting him any further.
“you can’t say that shit hajime! you can’t say it, not after four years of nothing … you didn’t try to fight for me, convince me to stick with you through it all, and you have someone else! how sick can you be? saying that shit to me, stringing that girl along …” the anger wasn’t making you think straight, words spilling out of your mouth without you mulling them over first.
it was iwaizumi’s turn to get angry at your words, “you broke up with me!” he pushed your hands away from his before pointing an accusatory finger at you, “you broke up,” and he turned his finger shakily at himself, “with me.”
your mouth dropped open and you closed it again, gaping at the air like a fish out of water, hoping the words would come to you, “i wanted what’s best for you,” you managed to whisper, “i wanted for you to be happy.”
“and you came to that decision on your own!” his chest was heaving now, bottom lip trembling as he tried to keep his strong facade, but it was crumbling, “how dare you, decide for me what’s best for me?” his words were only making your chest ache because they were true. you were scared that you were not enough for him, that you’d never be enough for him, “you were what’s best for me, i wanted to share everything with you!” but you were wrong.
he let out a strangled laugh, “and that girl? she knew it too. i tried going on one date with her, and when i tried going home with her, she pushed me away and told me that i was just kidding myself and setting myself up to get hurt, because my heart was with someone else.”
the two of you were practically in hysterics, wild stares at each other, tears staining your cheeks and some threatening to fall on his own. this was how the argument was supposed to go four years ago, not with you doing everything in your power to walk away. you needed to talk it out, communicate with each other; the only reason it had reached this point, as if you were two people in some kind of romantic movie on the sidewalk professing your love for each other, was because all these emotions had accumulated during the past four years.
after he let out a couple of strangled breaths, iwaizumi’s shoulders slumped, and he raked his hand through his hair, shaking his head and going to sit down on the sidewalk, arms on his knees and head bowed forward.
you watched him for a couple of moments, hand pressed over your mouth as you tried not to sob. the man who’d held your heart so firmly in his hands even if you were continents away had never given up on you. suddenly you didn’t feel so pathetic, but the guilt was eating you alive. you’d never meant to hurt him so, you adored him and you really did want the best for him.
swallowing back the remainder of the tears, you looked up at the sky and sniffled softly, before taking a couple of brave steps forward, kneeling down and wrapping your arms around his shoulders, burying your face into his neck, “i’m sorry, i’m sorry, i’m sorry,” you chanted softly, knowing that no matter how many times you said it, silently praying that he’d accept your apology, even though you didn’t really deserve it.
his hand rested gently on your forearm and he kept his head forward, pressing soft kisses to your wrist and the back of your hand. iwa hesitated for a moment, before he rested his hands on your waist, carefully guiding you to his lap and wrapping his arms around you, rocking you back and forth and shushing you quietly as you continued to sob into his chest. the way he said your name was as soft as a butterfly coming to rest on a fingertip, and he gently guided your face up to look at his.
“i forgive you,” he admitted to you, giving you a small smile, “i’m sorry for yelling, i’m sorry for letting you go ... ” his forehead came to rest against yours, and his eyes were closed. you could feel your heart practically soaring, having him so close again, him accepting your apology.
your hand came to rest on his face, thumb gently drawing back and forth across his cheek, before leaning forward and leaving a tentative kiss on the side of his mouth, watching as his eyes all but shot open, cheeks burning red under the palm of your hand as he looked into your eyes, “i forgive you too hajime.”
Tumblr media
~ three year timeskip. ~
you were anxious. more anxious then you had been ever in your life.
you’d been with hajime ever since you reconciled now, going through all the motions with settling into your life back in japan, finding a job you both love but still there were struggles. like how hajime worked himself to the bone, hell bent on being the best athletic trainer the national volleyball team had ever seen. you laid blankets on his shoulders when he slept at his desk while he was writing reports or planning injury prevention programs. meanwhile, he carried you to bed whenever you fell asleep on the couch because you couldn’t sleep in an empty bed, or when you were studying for your job and you fell asleep at your own desk.
your relationship was strong, communication prominent during the whole time, because you knew what could happen if it wasn’t there. the two of you never went to bed angry with each other, he always brought home flowers if he fucked up, hiding his face behind the bouquet as he uttered an apology and you always made sure to bring him a cup of tea to bed if you stepped out of line, before cuddling into his side and muttering a small ‘i’m sorry’ into the silence.
vip tickets gave you the perfect view of the volleyball court, adorning the japanese flag on one of your cheeks and a polo shirt that matched hajime’s with ‘iwaizumi’ spread across your shoulders.
it would be your own name anyway, you thought, as you twirled the engagement ring around your finger, grinning brightly before looking up at him and giving him an encouraging wink, mouthing an i love you at him.
you’d returned home twice; to japan the first time, and to iwaizumi hajime’s heart the second time.

“i just wanna play with your hair”
pairing : kirishima x fem!reader
word count : 2.2k
genre : fluff, a little crack
prompt : “sorry i was staring, i just really wanna play with your hair”
warnings : a little swearing only cause it’s me
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“GAHHH! i’m so excited” mina squealed as she shook you back and forth, it was no regular night in the 1a dorm, tonight was a special night. it was movie night.
every friday, class 1a watches a movie together, it all started because iida said that your class needed more “bonding” time, whatever that means. in all honesty you weren’t really sure but you went along with it anyway because it was too much work to even try disagreeing with him.
the person who got to choose the movie rotated every week so everyone had a chance to pick the movie (everyone but mineta, that privilege was taken from him because of an instance that you really don’t feel like looking back on). the decision was made by putting everyone's names on paper slips and picking one from a hat, the name was picked thursday night at dinner so the person had a whole 24 hours to decide on a movie title.
tonight was mina’s turn to choose the movie and she had picked out the cheetah girls: one world and because it was the third in the series she had to give the class a short presentation to catch everyone up to speed.
the scene was quite comical, it had you holding onto kirishima’s shoulder attempting to hold in your laugh while todoroki and tokoyami asked in depth and thought provoking questions about the cheetah girls. your favorite coming from todoroki along the lines of “so at no point, do the girls actually become cheetahs?” he was quite disappointed to hear that they do not infact turn into cheetahs at any point in the movie.
when mina’s choice was announced, bakugou immediately attempted to get out of watching the movie but you and kirishima were able to convince him to stay. you were able to do this by threatening to tell everyone about his hidden shoujo manga collection while kirishima said that he wouldn’t stop you.
so here you were, with kirishima to your left, mina bouncing up and down in anticipation to your right, and bakugou slouching on the floor against the couch in front where you were sat stuck with denki and sero on either side of him. when bakugou began grumbling under his breath about how “stupid” this whole thing was, you made sure to lean down and remind him of the blackmail you held against him. did it seem like you were holding him hostage? maybe. did you care? not one bit. mina was having a good time and that was all you cared about.
you and mina grew up together and even attended the same middle school. the two of you were honestly inseparable, spending every waking moment together. the perks of living next to each other it seemed. while mina was definitely your favorite person from middle school, kirishima was a close second. the two of you had initially met when you were tasked with a project together in one of your subjects. you ended up really enjoying his company and making sure to hang out with him almost as much as you did with mina.
up until the very end of middle school you only saw him as a friend, but then one day butterflies began to erupt in your stomach everytime he was nearby. not even just when he was nearby, sometimes you would just be sitting in your room and his bright ruby eyes would flash in your memory and you would feel a blush develop on your cheeks.
you had no idea that he even wanted to apply to u.a. until the two of you had run into each other at the entrance exam. you had known that he wanted to be a hero of course, he made you sit and watch the old videos of crimson riot with him. it was obvious to yourself that he was hero material, from his impressive quirk to his golden spirit, he was just made to save and inspire people. one of the many reasons that you adored him. even with all of that you were still shocked but excited to see your friend going after his dreams of being a hero and he was thrilled to see you there too.
obviously the exams went well because here the two of you were, with the rest of your class, ready to watch the cheetah girls at one of the most prestigious hero high schools in japan. the thought made you giggle as you looked around the room, everyone getting comfortable before the movie started.
“hey, what’s so funny?” kirishima whispered into your ear, his warm breath making you squirm a bit from how close in proximity he was.
“oh it’s nothing” you whispered back glancing up and to the side at him. feeling him lean back on the couch, you turn to get a better look at him, the butterflies you had grown accustomed to visiting your stomach once again. kiri had his hair up in one of the headbands that you just adored, his hair looks so fluffy and soft. all you wanted to do was run your hands through it. sure, he probably used a decent amount of gel to make it stick up but it still looked silky.
before you could stare for too long, mina announced that the movie was starting, squishing into her spot right next to you before leaning her head on your shoulder causing you to let out a light laugh.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
45 minutes into the movie you felt something fall into your lap. glancing down you saw kiri’s kind eyes staring up at you.
a breathy giggle left your lips “hello there.”
“shhh” kiri mumbled, turning over to face the screen “pretend i’m not here.” before he fully moved away you caught a glimpse of a faint blush spreading across his face and the tips of his ears.
you wanted to focus on the movie, you really did, but with kiri layed on your lap you just couldn’t. it physically wasn’t possible for you to look away from him. you desperately wanted to lean down and give his forehead a soft kiss while holding him close.
the obvious was there as well, kiri’s hair was inches away from your fingers and you could just imagine just running them through it. the temptation was immense. of course he was used to your antics at this point so he wouldn’t mind but for some reason you were too nervous to ask.
breaking you out of your trance you felt kiri look up at you with a puzzled expression, “y/n, is there something on my face?”
still in a bit of a dazed, you hummed in confusion, blush creeping its way onto your face.
“you just keep staring at me…”
choking on seemingly nothing, the blush that had originally begun to stir from getting caught staring increased at a rapid pace, you could feel the heat of it. “fuck, i’m sorry, i didn’t realize i was being so obvious.” you sputtered looking away. “there’s nothing on your face, i promise.”
he chuckled at your reaction and asked another question, still not sure what was up with his friend. “then why the staring?”
taking a deep breath you felt there was no better time than the present, you lowered your voice and admitted “… honestly? i just really want to play with your hair.”
letting out a joyful laugh kiri beamed up at you grabbing your chin, your head still facing away to hide your flushed expression, he gently turned your face towards him so he could meet your eyes and whispered with a smile. “y/n of course you can play with my hair.”
with his hand still cupping your face you flashed him a smile and reached your hands down to run them through his red hair, it feeling smooth to the touch. you heard him release a deep sigh dropping his hand from your face as you continued to comb your fingers through it. you could feel the teen relax under your touch as you moved your gaze back to the movie.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
by the time the movie had ended, kirishima looked to be fast asleep on your lap. before the lights could get turned on you, feeling quite daring, glanced around at your peers, and then pressed a light kiss to his forehead then whispered “you’re just too adorable kiri, and i promise i mean it in the manly way.”
your movements to shift away were halted when his eyes suddenly shot open and he gently grabbed your face to bring it down to his level, he muttered with a lopsided grin, “honestly y/n, i think you’re way cuter” before placing a small kiss to the corner of your mouth.
you had no idea he was awake when you leaned down to kiss him, the surprise of that paired with the fact that he kissed the corner of your mouth had you malfunctioning where you sat. a thousand thoughts rushing through your frazzled mind. your hands shot up to cover your burning face as you frantically moved his head from your lap and ran up to your dorm, managing to completely trample bakugou and confuse the rest of your classmates on your way out of the common room.
“WHAT THE HELL” bakugou shouted at your running figure, “WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOIN’ YOU DAMN EXTRA!”
as he got up to chase after you, kirishima placed a hand on his shoulder stopping him, chuckling “don’t worry bakubro! i’ll go talk to her.” he waved goodnight to the rest of his classmates before heading up to your room.
gently knocking he sighed then called out “y/nnnn, i’m super sorry if i made you uncomfortable. that’s super not manly and-”
the moment you heard him start to apologize for no apparent reason you ran to throw your door open. “don’t you dare apologize eijiro” you scolded looking up at the now nervous teen boy, seemingly forgetting that he was the reason you had run off in the first place, “you have nothing to apologize for. i was just a little spooked and a tiny bit flustered…” lowering your voice to make sure that last part was whispered.
“is that why you ran off?” he asked in a gentle tone, concern lacing his features.
“i mean i guess, you just caught me off guard. i’m sorry if i scared you or something…” you apologized looking down at your feet.
“hey now… you can’t just apologize after lecturing me about it. it’s not fair.” a small pout forming on his lips. one thing kiri knew was that as long as the two of you have been friends, he can always get his way when he begins to pout. he’s not sure why it always works on you, but it does.
“oh stop, don’t start with the puppy face. i know it always works but i don’t like how it affects me.” a small smile developing on your face as he continues to pout at you, leaning down a little to make sure you see it. the pout, his biggest weapon against you, it always makes you melt.
a tension filled silence falls upon the two of you as you stand in the hallway, your eyes locked as he continues to pout down at you.
“now what i don’t understand” you begin, “is what you think to gain from continuing to look at me that way.”
“well… i just hope you know that i don’t plan on tonight being the last night of you playing with my hair” a playful tone laces his voice as he moves down even closer to you.
that action made you even more flustered than you were before, causing you to avert your eyes. “and what do you mean by that?” the question coming out more nervous than you intended it too. you had hoped that he would give you an answer to this question but by the time you had looked back at him he was right in front of your face, his warm breath fanning across your face as you held eye contact with him.
he glanced down at your lips before asking in a trance like tone “y/n, can i kiss you?”
the moment felt like it was from one of your dreams, afraid that you wouldn’t be able to form a sentence you nodded fully showing that you absolutely wanted him to kiss you.
he gently cupped your face and leaned in. the warm sensation of his lips met yours as you reached up to wrap your arms around his neck, tilting your head to deepen the kiss. his warm lips tasted of buttery popcorn and the cinnamon candies he was devouring earlier, and as you kissed the scent of his cologne, mahogany teakwood, filled your senses. attempting to hold you closer, his hands moved from cupping your jaw and slowly crept their way down to sit on the curve of your hips. your lips danced in sync for a minute or two. those few minutes truly making you feel like you were on cloud nine.
as you moved away to catch your breath you looked up to see kiri, a grin plastering his face that stretched from ear to ear. you dropped your sight and pushed your head into his chest to hide from his view, a red tint gracing your features.
“sooo y/n…” the red-head began, moving on hand from your waist up to cup your chin, his warm touch bringing you immense comfort “is that a yes to playing with my hair again?”
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
a/n - this was so much fun to write, i hope you guys like reading it as much as i liked writing it! i adore kiri so much. i plan working more on that baku fic next, maybe the ochako one if i’m feeling it.

The Heat of Winter | Beta! Miles Morales x Omega! OC
Tumblr media
Member a little while back when I mentioned a self-indulgent cannon x oc fic? Well here it is!
An A/B/O (Omegaverse) fic featuring Miles Morales and my own boy Gavin Oda.
Explicit content ahead!
CW: This fic does NOT utilize masculinized terminology for trans male genitalia. If that could make you uncomfortable, please read with caution.
Gavin Oda's life was...complicated. Being born with a secondary sex is one thing, being born as a mutant with a secondary sex is another thing, and growing up into a trans mutant with a secondary sex was another another thing. All that combined with his status as half white and half Japanese, he might as well have been born with a tattoo that said "Never to be treated with common respect" across his forehead.
His parents weren't the most…pleased by the life he lived. He knew they wanted their child to be an uncomplicated beta, or, if they had to be something else, an alpha that could rise to some kind of position of power. Being born an omega meant that he would require expensive suppressants as he aged in order to be allowed into the workforce. Not great. Puberty revealing the presence of an active mutant-gene meant that he would draw the attention of many bad people and also get labelled by "normal" people as a "freak". Bad. Coming out as trans at age 13 meant his parents had to pay for things like therapy and work through the many roadblocks of him socially transitioning while also attempting to downplay the two former traits. Awful. At the end of the day; his mother was apathetic and his father could be downright unbearable.
There was one thing that brought him solace, however: his life at Brooklyn Visions Academy. The school was accommodating to his real gender and, with the right paperwork and some suppressants, it wasn't even an issue that he was an omega. Added bonus: DORMS! All semester he could be away from his stifling homelife and pretend to be normal. Or at least as normal as one can be when constantly wearing an eyepatch to hide a mutant eye with a crosshair in it.
BVA was the perfect place for Gavin, he liked to think. He even managed to make friends there for perhaps the first time in his life. An alpha named Gwen, a beta named Ganke, and….a beta named Miles. Being able to geek out with them all about the latest tech or music made Gavin feel like he belonged for the first time, and he wouldn't trade that for anything.
Imagine his surprise when he learned that he shared something else, apart from common interests, with Gwen and Miles, namely a dual identity used to fight crime. Gavin had been fighting crime as the mutant vigante "Dart" for a few years. The combination of his mutant ability of perfect aim with his burning desire to feel needed by the world led him to picking up a dart gun loaded with tranquilizers he'd made himself and jump into the night. Being able to now team up with Spiderman or Ghost Spider brought his venting and brooding a more optimistic turn. When next to real heroes, he felt like a real hero.
-----------------
It was senior year for the motley crew, and the swiftly approaching winter break meant a much needed respite from the otherwise extremely hectic semester. Gwen, Ganke, and Miles would be spending the extended weekend merrily with their families, but Gavin would be spending it alone in his parents' house and he couldn't be more relieved. His mother and father were on a combination business trip/holiday in Japan and while he had been invited, earnestly at the very least, he politely declined in favor of an extended period of time where he'd be completely alone.
Being completely alone on what most people would consider the most family-oriented holiday probably seems incredibly sad, but Gavin had a plan to enjoy himself. Namely that he could finally have a heat cycle that didn't leave him crying and practically tearing his hair out. Suppressants could only be taken for so long before most omegas' hormones would become so strong that the pills ceased working properly, so it was advised to take some time every few months to actually handle oneself.
For Gavin, "handling" it typically meant locking himself in his room, burying himself in a nest of blankets, and sobbing as silently as possible so as not to bother or alert anyone. Not this time though! He had a space to himself so he was going to let loose for once dammit! That was the plan….until…
"Hey, Gav!" Miles' clear voice knocked Gavin out of his musings as he closed his locker. The bright smile on the taller boy's face made Gavin's heart skip. Just about anyone could see how bad the young omega had it for the beta, but Miles could be delightfully naïve at times.
"What's up?"
"You're...folks are gonna be gone for a while right?" Miles rubbed his neck with a shy smile, "Mom and I were wondering if you wanted to spend the holidays with us? Y'know so you aren't alone."
Gavin, whose omega brain was rather distracted by being so near to the object of his desires, suddenly was hyper aware of everything around him. "Oh um...that's incredibly thoughtful of you both." The smaller boy attempted to hide his flushing face behind his long fringe of hair. "But, well, my family never really celebrated Christmas anyways and I'm quite fine with being alone, honestly, I'm used to it."
Gavin realized his poor choice of words almost immediately when Miles frowned.
"N-not like that-"
"No no, I getcha." Miles leaned against the lockers with a look of concern aimed at his friend. "You positive you don't wanna come over?"
Gavin put on as reassuring a smile he could muster. "Yes, I am. Thank you again, though."
Miles gave an affirmative but sad hum and pulled his friend into a hug. "See ya 'round. Give me a call if you get bored, and don't leave me behind if you go out at night!" He joked.
It took all of Gavin's willpower to return the hug without bursting into flames, but his friend's tone made him chuckle. "'Course Miles."
With a wave the friends went their separate ways, and Gavin's "heat-venting vacation" could officially begin unimpeded. What could go wrong?
-----------------
Christmas was a few days gone and Gavin could tell his heat was officially starting to settle in. He felt a little bad for sticking to his guns about not spending the holiday Miles and Mrs. Morales but considering he had been weaning off the suppressants it could have ended very awkwardly.
Sure, Miles was a beta and didn't give off any particular pheromones of his own, but when you're down bad for someone like Gavin was, that tends not to matter so much. The warmth and security of a happy home, delicious food, a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere, and being next to the person he loved spelled disaster when put all together and combined with no heat suppressants. Even if he managed to make it the whole evening without jumping the guy's bones he knew Mrs. Morales would be smart enough to put two and two together and Gavin didn't feel like dying of embarrassment.
That said, it was clear his avoidance hadn't gone unnoticed by Miles who was beginning to question why one of his closest friends was ducking everyone's calls and blowing off any requests to hang out.
Gavin had just finished setting up a pile of cushions, blankets, and a hoodie Miles had leant him and forgot to take back when the obnoxious sound of his phone ringing interrupted the moment he was settling into. He felt himself freeze when he read the ID.
🌻 Miles 🤓
He quickly swiped to deny the call, only to be greeted with a text almost immediately.

<   ___________________________ |
A wave of guilt washed over him that was quickly replaced by panic once the phone began ringing again. Gavin took a deep breath. He still had a little bit of time where he'd be lucid, long enough for a simple phone call. Right? With a thick gulp he swiped to pick up.
"H-"
"Oh thank God, I got scared for a second!"
The answer to the formerly posed question was a definitive 'no'. Upon hearing Miles' voice, Gavin's legs all but completely gave out as he dropped into his makeshift nest. The omega's heart rate kicked up to an 11 and he could already feel a slick beginning to form between his legs. He swallowed again, trying to beat it back.
"W-what?"
Gavin cringed at how shaky his voice had become so suddenly.
"Well you haven't been responding to anybody. The crew and I were starting to think you were out on a job and got hurt...or worse….I was getting pretty worried."
'Bad omega! Made your mate upset! Very bad!'
The irrational, hormonal part of his brain was shouting at him but he tried to silence it.
'Just my friend, not my mate!'
"Oh, ha ha! S-Sorry I've just been, um...busy with...p-personal stuff."
It's not like it was a lie.
"Hey, you good man? You sound kinda out of it. You sick?"
Gavin bit down on a nearby pillow to keep himself from moaning. His slick was in full force and it took an ungodly amount of willpower to keep his left hand away from touching himself while in a phone call with his best friend.
"Y-yeah!" Too loud. "I'm just n-not feeling good is all. Really under the weather. Probably best if I just sleep it out, heh heh."
Please work.
"Wow yeah, you do sound pretty bad. And you're all alone….Ooh, I got an idea! Be over in a sec!"
"Y-yea- wait WHAT?!"
Before he could stop him, Miles had hung up.
Oh god. He was coming.
'Really?'
'No! Not like that!'
Gavin pushed his hair out of his now rather sweaty face. Both his regular eye and mutated eye were extremely dilated and his breath was coming out in heady pants.
Let's see. It took about half an hour to get from Harlem to the Upper East Side by train, meaning he didn't have much time but he had something. He stripped off his shirt and wrenched his pajamas below his waist. His wrist was going to ache by the end of this but he didn't have the time to get anything better. Hopefully this would be enough to greet Miles and promptly shut the door on him.
-----------------
"Gracias, mamá, I'm sure he'll appreciate it!"
"Tell him I said 'get well soon'!"
When Miles had informed his mother he'd be heading over to Gavin's to help nurse his sick and lonely friend back to health, she packed up several treats into a care package for him to bring along. It was a great idea, and he knew Gav would love it but on the downside it had taken a bit of extra time to prepare.
Miles checked the time on his phone as he walked out the door. He might be able to catch the train if he sprinted, but even then enough time would have passed for Gavin to do something stupid to keep him from helping. He loved the guy, even more than Miles could manage to confess, but he had a tendency to downplay his needs way too much.
Tightening his grip on the bag, Miles glanced around to make sure the alley by his house was empty and fwipped up to the roofs. With his heavy winter coat on and hood pulled up tight around his face no one should be able to see him. He wasn't going too far anyways.
He ended up saving a solid ten minutes of travel when he landed at Gavin's place. Checking the care package to make sure everything was still safe, he noticed a box near the bottom that had been hidden under the food containers. Miles' eyes nearly burst out of his skull when he recognized it as a box of condoms.
The heck was his mom thinking?! Like yeah, he knew she knew he had a thing for the Japanese boy but that was not the point of this visit! Hopefully he could just leave that buried in the bag and Gav wouldn't notice.
Shaking off his sudden flustered state, he hopped up the steps to the door and rang the bell. When it didn't open right away he wasn't too surprised. If Gavin was as sick as he sounded it would likely take quite a bit of his energy to make it from his room to the door. Deciding to spare his friend the grief, Miles tried the window by the door only to be pleasantly surprised at it being unlocked. Gavin had likely been using it to go out as Dart while his parents were gone instead of hassling with the one in his room.
"Gav, I'm here! My mom packed some sancocho for you!" He crawled through the window and closed it quickly. Didn't need any extra cold to get in here. He sat the bag of goodies down on a nearby table and looked around the darkened townhouse.
"Gav?"
When he heard a loud thunk coming from his friend's room he rushed up the stairs. Miles was just about to open the door to the other boy's room when it creaked open and Gavin stuck his head out slightly.
-----------------
Gavin had been three fingers deep into his aching cunt when he heard the doorbell. How'd Miles get here so fast?! Oh right, webs.
'Mate near. Want mate.'
His brain was so raddled and his body was so hot that he couldn't even argue with himself anymore.
"Gav, I'm here! My mom packed some sancocho for you!"
Hearing Miles' voice made Gavin groan both in longing and in concern. He clearly wasn't going to just leave, and that was going to make this difficult.
Trying his best to make some kind of effort, Gavin removed his fingers and forced himself to stand up. He didn't make it too far on his unstable legs, almost immediately falling against the door with a loud clunk.
When he heard Miles rushing toward his room Gavin slowly opened the door a crack. He was still shirtless and his room was very clearly set up for a heat cycle, so he wasn't about to open it the whole way. He just need to get Miles to
 'Join'
 leave.
"Gavin you okay? Sounded like you passed out!"
Gavin couldn't stop himself from panting anymore. His body was so hot, and Miles was so close. The beta's lack of pheromones didn't even matter, Gavin felt drunk on the boy's natural scent.
"I...I….um…"
Miles' chocolate brown eyes were wide with concern.
"Dude, have you taken your temperature recently? You look like you're about to melt into the floor!" Miles was beginning to wonder if he should carry his friend to the nearest ER.
"I...p-please just...huuuhhnng~"
Unable to contain himself for a single moment longer, Gavin flung the door wide open and collapsed into the arms of a very surprised and still extremely concerned Miles. The heat-swooned omega gazed at his friend with a deep lustful haze clouding his typically light brown eyes. Even his mutated, crosshair eye was unfocused and distant.
"Please….Mate."
Miles was, to put it mildly, taken off guard. Given his status as a beta, he didn't know much about an omega's heat cycle. The wide assumption by society was that alphas dealt with that kind of stuff. But Gavin didn't have an alpha…
"Uh…"
Gavin groaned again and clung closer to Miles.
"Need….you...please...Mate."
Was now a good time to take a page from Ganke and make a pros and cons list?
Pros: Miles had been wanting to get more...intimate with Gavin for a while, and here was a perfect chance to do so.
Cons: Gavin was likely delirious right now and probably had no idea who he was even talking to and could really regret this once he got lucid again.
"Gav I...I don't think that's a good idea…"
Gavin's face immediately fell and tears were already forming in his eyes.
"But...I...you…"
The omega backed away with a whimper and retreated back into the nest he'd piled together on the floor. It was only now that Miles was able to fully take in the scene in front of him.
First off; Gavin was only wearing a loose pair of pajama pants, which he hadn't managed to notice until now. Second of all; that...was definitely his hoodie in that pile. Omegas make nests before their heat starts, right? So does that imply… Gavin lifted said hoodie and buried his face in it.
Taking a breath, Miles knelt down by his friend and gently moved the hoodie away his face.
"Gav...do you want...me to help you with this? Like me specifically?"
Gavin rubbed the tears from his eyes and nodded.
"Liked you...for a while...but….never knew what to say…"
He took a shaky breath.
"I just want--!"
Gavin was interrupted by Miles leaning forward to kiss him. The action took him by surprise, but it didn't take long for him to melt right into it.
Miles pulled away after a moment, too soon in Gavin's opinion, and a smile was gracing his handsome features.
"Well, seeing as I dig you too, what can I do to help you out with your….issue?"
Gavin's eyes widened in awe. Not bothering to question it, and perhaps not able to, he pulled Miles on top of him by his jacket and kissed him much more fiercely than the previous time.
Miles was, again, caught a bit off guard, but got into the swing of it quick enough, and slipped his tongue into Gavin's mouth when the omega opened it up to him. When he pulled back so they could both catch their breath, he took the time to quickly rid himself of his jacket and shirt.
Gavin reached up and ran his fingers along the dark skinned boy's well toned chest. Miles was, in Gavin's opinion, in possession of a perfectly balanced figure, and the omega had been silently begging to feel it up for a long time. His hum of approval made Miles chuckle.
"Yours ain't too bad either, y'know." Miles complimented as he gently slid his own fingers down the smaller boy's chest. The action made the omega whimper and shift his grip to guide Miles' hands further down.
"Please."
Taking a deep breath to steel the nerves he had been trying to ignore, Miles slid the pajamas off Gavin's legs and leaned back slightly. His crush being fully bare in front of him was a sight he wanted to fully appreciate.
If Miles wasn't turned on already, which he was, the sight in front of him made his dick almost painfully hard in his jeans. Gavin's legs were spread apart, and his sex was glistening with slick and arousal. His whole body was flushed and warm. Even in his current state of mind, Gavin couldn't help but turn his head to let his bangs fall and hide his face at the intensity of the other's gaze.
With one hand, Miles tucked the hair behind the shorter boy's ear. His other hand moved down to make slow steady circles on Gavin's exposed heat, the action causing said boy to moan with relief and tilt his face into the hand caressing it.
Three of Miles' fingers slid smoothly into the slickened hole. Given his lack of experience, Miles wasn't entirely sure what to do, but basing off...ahem research he'd done...he began to flex and curl his fingers into the spongy walls surrounding them.
A particular spot caused Gavin to gasp loudly. "Ngh~! There!"
With a new wave of self-confidence, Miles focused the movement of his fingers on that spot. While his three digits were busy, he moved his thumb to rub quick patterns on the omega's swollen clit.
"M-Miles, I--haahh!"
Hearing his name called out in such an intensely sexual way was definitely having an effect on the beta.
Between the long fingers inside him and the delicious stimulus on his clit, it didn't take long for Gavin to reach the first orgasm of his heat. His long pent up arousal was finally released, if only temporarily.
Miles removed his fingers and shifted uncomfortably on his knees. Skinny jeans looked great, but boy was he regretting that decision currently. He considered his soaked fingers for a moment before shrugging and slipping them into his mouth. The taste was hard to describe, but certainly not unpleasant.
Gavin blinked several times as he came down from his high. He was anticipating a moment's reprieve, only to feel a new rush of slick run down his thighs at the sight of Miles licking his fingers.
"Holy shit…"
Miles smirked at Gavin's breathlessness.
"Can I take that as 'it was good'?"
Gavin swallowed thickly and nodded.
"Oh yeah. But…" The omega leaned forward and placed his hands on the very prominent bulge in the beta's jeans. "I'm gonna need something more…" Gavin's pleading gaze meant it was Miles' turn to gulp.
He began working on unbuckling his pants and locked eyes with the other boy.
"Hey, uh...remember, I'm still a beta. I might not be able to give you as much as you need.
With a soft smile, Gavin leaned up to kiss the taller boy. "I want you, Miles. Only you."
Miles returned the smile and the kiss. "Well, can't argue with that."
Gavin's hands over his, Miles pulled off his jeans and underwear, a sigh of relief escaping his lips as his arousal was finally released from the tight clothes.
Gavin barely held back the urge to lick his lips. Miles was nicely sized, with a very delightful looking curve. It was clear he had been enjoying their time together, as evident by the precum dripping from his tip.
With as sultry a smile he could muster, Gavin laid back on the pile of pillows, spread his legs, and held out his arms.
"Please, Miles,make me your mate."
Miles moved forward to kneel between the omega's legs, until he remembered something.
"Oh shit, wait a sec!"
At Gavin's, understandably, confused look, he leaned in to kiss him again.
"Sorry, just gotta grab somethin' real quick."
He jumped up and ran down the stairs to the bag he had left on the table and quickly returned with the box of condoms. His mom really was scarily smart sometimes.
Gavin frowned at the small box, causing Miles to chuckle and run his fingers through the boy's long hair.
"I know, I know, it's less fun. But it'll be worth it for tomorrow I promise."
He may not have been an alpha, but omegas at peak fertility were no joke.
Gavin continued to pout for a moment, but nodded. At this point he didn't care. This was his first ever heat in which a real person was going to dick him down, and it also happened to be the exact person he'd been wanting that from. The benefits far outweighed the disappointment of not having his lover fully mate him.
Miles returned to his place on the floor between Gavin's legs. He took out one of the condoms, opened the packet, and rolled it down his hard cock. As he lined himself up with his lover's slick hole, he turned his chocolate brown eyes to meet the other's honey browns. Both boys had a lusty haze in their eyes, but there was also a softness present. There was a clear feeling of affection shared between the gazes.
With a passionate kiss, Miles thrusted his hips forward and fully sheathed himself inside Gavin. Both boys moaned into the kiss. The omega finally felt filled, and the soft, slick heat of his wet cunt was squeezing the beta's cock in just the right way.
Were it not for the condom, Miles wondered if he would've cum just from that. This was gonna be a first-time to remember. He kept his hips still for a moment.
"Let me know when you're ready for me to-"
"Please, go." Gavin gave him a smile accompanied by a pleading look. "And don't hold back."
Miles blinked a few times. "Damn, okay." His thrusts started off uneven, but after a moment he settled into a quick and deep pace.
When Gavin tilted his head back with a long moan, Miles took the opportunity to suck and nip at the dip where his shoulder met his neck.
"M-Miles that's- mmm!~"
The grin that stretched across Miles face was detectable against the other's skin.
"I think that's the special spot, right~?"
"It doesn't work like that but...fuck don't stop!"
The science on why exactly 'claiming bites' only worked for alphas wasn't quite exact. That said, the neck was still a weak point on his partner's body, and it was a weakness Miles was going to exploit the hell out of.
Gavin's brain was clouded with a thick fog. All he could think of was the feelings Miles was giving him: the nibbles on his neck and the head of Miles' cock hitting the deepest places inside of him. It was a lot on it's own, but when Miles moved a hand to once again stimulate his clit he knew he wouldn't be lasting much longer.
"M-Miles I….haah."
Said boy kissed the omega just below his ear.
"Mi corazón y mi amor, te quiero." He gently whispered.
With a languid moan, Gavin came for the second time. The tightening of his walls around Miles was more than enough for the beta, leading him to follow quickly behind with just a few more thrusts.
Panting heavily, Miles just barely stopped himself from collapsing on his partner, instead sliding himself out and landing on his side.
"That was….dang." He commented with a chuckle.
Gavin simply nodded with a breathless laugh of his own.
Miles tied off the condom and threw it into the trashcan near the bed. He stretched out his back and got cozy in the pile of plush cushions, smiling as his partner laid his head on his chest. He felt himself almost dozing off when Gavin gently cleared his throat.
"Um...I...might still need your help a bit longer…"
One look into the omega's eyes and Miles remembered how and why this all happened in the first place.
Oh boy. It was gonna be a long day.
-----------------
Miles blinked awake with a groan and a crack to his back. As predicted, the previous events lasted much longer than he was expecting for his first night in bed with someone. That said, he'd relish the soreness because with it came the knowledge that he was successfully out of the friend zone with Gavin.
Speaking of whom; Miles looked over to find he was alone in the blanket covered nest. He didn't have much time to ponder why as the door of Gavin's room slowly and quietly swung open to reveal the boy with two bowls in his hands and a bottle of water tucked under his arm. His hair was tied back and pinned out of his face making Miles smile. Gav only did that when he was feeling confident in himself. He was also wearing the hoodie that was once a component of the nest.
"Morning, or afternoon rather." He spoke lightly as he joined his partner on the floor.
Miles sat up, the blanket falling to around his waist. "Hey." He replied with a stifled yawn. "What time is it?"
"About 12:30 in the afternoon." Gavin answered with a chuckle as he handed over one of the bowls and the water bottle.
Miles took both with a "thanks," and quickly downed all the water in a few big gulps. Upon looking in the bowl he realized it was the sancocho his mom had made for them.
"Heh. I should probably text my mom and thank her for packing all that stuff. It, uh, came in quite handy."
Gavin lifted his own bowl closer to his face to try and hide the blush that was threatening his cheeks. "Indeed."
He tossed Miles his jeans so the taller boy could fish his phone out of his pocket. Upon doing so, said boy realized he had a missed call from Gwen. He had totally forgotten he had promised to call her once he found out what was up with Gavin. Tapping the button by her name to return the call, it was on the third ring that he realized he didn't really know what to tell her. He didn't have time to figure that out, though, as she picked up not long after.
"Miles! Geez you and Gav are gonna give me a heart attack one of these days!"
Miles held the phone away from his ear and Gavin stared awkwardly into his bowl.
"Yeah, sorry 'bout that, Gwen. I totally spaced."
"Yeah, no kidding. So what's up with Gav, is he okay?"
"Uhh yeah, yeah, he's good, just...uh…" Miles glanced over to the other boy who was fervently shaking his head. "Sick."
Gwen was silent for a moment. "Sick, huh?"
"Y-yeah! Just a particularly nasty cold."
"Uh huh." Given the tone of her voice, Miles could practically hear the face she was making. "This 'cold' wouldn't happen to only be curable by you two spending the day boning, would it?"
The question caused Gavin to inhale mid-spoonful of soup, leaving him sputtering and coughing.
"Oh, looks like Gav's cough is back, I should get him some water BYE!" Miles hung up the call with Gwen laughing on the other side of the line and tossed his phone aside.
Gavin took several deep breaths, his face bright red from both coughing and shame. Miles leaned back on his hands and stared at the opposite wall.
"I think we got away with that, yeah?"
"She's an alpha," Gavin pointed out between throat clears, "so I'm pretty sure she knows what signs to look for."
Miles shrugged in response. "Nah, I think we're good."
Gavin laughed and shook his head.
It was quiet for a moment as the boys enjoyed their sancocho, but Gavin was the first to break it.
"Did you...mean it? When you told me you love me, I mean."
Miles glanced over to him and smiled. "'Course I did."
With a small smile of his own, the omega scooched closer to the beta. "In that case: 愛してる, マイルス." (ai shiteru, mairusu)
Miles' smile expanded to a full grin. He had watched enough anime to know what that meant.

[Pragma]
Chishiya Shuntarou
Warnings: swearing, manga spoilers, mentions of nooses and hanging, death, blood, abuse
As always I think that's all, but feel free to tell me if I missed any. This is part one of seven of the idea I had!
The word love encompasses so much. Love can be different in the ways people say and mean it, which is why the Greeks had seven words for love.
Eros, sexual or erotic love. Can be the love you share with a partner. Lust.
Philia, platonic love. The love you share with friends.
Storge, natural love. The love you share with your family.
Philautia, love of self.
Pragma, long standing love. The love of a married couple.
Agápe, unconditional or Devine love.
Ludus, childish or playful love/flirting.
As the cupid of Pragma, you dealt with many types of people. People who were nervous to propose, people having second thoughts, and people who had been married for years. Every problem was unique in its own way.
"(Y/N)! There's someone calling for you specifically!" Eros's voice called out. You smiled, smoothing out  your lilac dress, walking towards them. "You're always so graceful! Teach me!" Ludus's voice chirped. You patted her head saying, "Maybe later." Before turning your attention back to the person. It was a woman.  "Oh this is silly... I am but a fool to believe this will work, but anything for him... Lady of Pragma, I wish to speak with you," she said. There was a green apple on her desk. "Well, I'll be going. Bye bye!" You said, waving off to them. You spun twice, disappearing in a cloud of cherry blossoms. "Ah, I should have known that language. I'm guessing this woman is in Japan then," you muttered, feeling cold move over you.
"Hello, you've called for me?" You said, standing besides the woman. She jumped, but sighed. "He was... it was correct? You're real?" She questioned. You nodded with a smile. "As real as you. I'm (Y/N), the cupid of Pragma, long standing love. How may I assist you?" You introduced, bowing towards her. She returned the bow. "I... I fear my husband and I... our relationship may have affected our son. He's... I would like for you to help him not end up like his father and I did. Please," she explained. It hurt you that such a thing could happen. People fell out of love all the time, and not even the magic of a cupid could change that. "Of course. I just need a name. Oh, and if I may request that apple?" You said, pointing towards it. The lady laughed, handing it to you. "It is for you. And the name is Chishiya Shuntarou. Please, whatever it takes for him to not end up like us," she requested yet again. You nodded, before spinning yet again. Cherry blossoms filled again. 'So he lives on Japan as well? I think he will be interesting.'  What a travesty that their relationship affected their son. Love wasn't always easy, which is why so many people called on you and the other cupids.
When you opened your eyes, you were in what looked like a college dorm. A boy with blonde, almost white hair stood in front of you. No expression on his face, almost like you didn't just appear out of no where. "And that's the last time I go 2 days without sleep," he muttered, walking away from you. "Hello? It's quite rude to walk off like that. You must be Chishiya," you guessed floating after him. "How did you- nope, no, this is a figment of my imagination. The supernatural don't exist," he said, trying to walk off. You grabbed his shoulders, making him face you. "I'm real. Your mother sent me to help you. I'm (Y/N), the cupid of Pragma," you introduced. He stared back into your eyes. One of your hands was warm, the other icy. It felt to real to be a dream or a figment of his imagination.
"So, you follow me around everywhere basically?" He questioned a few hours later. "Yep. Until you fall in love with someone and they fall in love back in the way that would result in marriage. With my help," you explained. "And others can't see you?" He asked. You shook your head. "Only you can see and hear me," you answered. He nodded, before sighing. "And if I don't love someone or them love me back?" He asked. "I stay in your mortal life till you die," you responded. It was the life of a cupid, you supposed. "Well, you are going to be stuck here for a while. I don't like anybody. All the  humans I've met are the same. Idiotic, cheerful, and to happy to be in this life," he said. Ah, an apathetic one is he? You could change that.
The next few weeks you spent trying to point out people to him. He wouldn't take any interest in them, saying that they were to dumb or any other excuse. We're you bad at your job? No, he was just a picky person, you guessed. "There has to be a person that's peaked your interest these past few weeks. I've found over hundreds of people. Men, women, in between. One of them has had to catch your eye," you said, floating above his bed. "No, not at all," he responded. You heard fireworks outside, and floated over to his window, looking out. The colorful sparks lit up the sky, and you watched in awe. "Chishiya, is there a celebration of sorts today?" You questioned. He shook his head, muttering something about dumb people. Suddenly all the lights turned off. You looked around, but it was pitch black. "Chishiya? Where are you?" You questioned. "On my bed... must be a blacko- oh my god... you're glowing," he started.
"Aw, thanks. That's the nicest thing you've said to me,'' you giggled. "No like... actually glowing," he said, reaching out towards you, and touching your hair. He pulled a (strand/curl) softly, showing it to you. You looked down to see that your body was actually glowing. Then you looked at your hair. Your hair had strands that were glowing gold, contracting with your (H/C).
The rest of your body gave off a small amount of light. "Let's go see if anyone else knows what's going on. Come on my glow stick, " he said, leaving already. You laughed at the nickname, following besides him.
There was no one. Not a single soul in the city of Tokyo. "Chishiya... what's going on?" You questioned, floating over him, deciding to sit atop his shoulders. He walked around the empty streets. None of the lights were on, all the cars in the street had stopped, and there was dead silence. The only sound was the occasional plastic bags that moved across the pavement. "I don't know. If I knew, I would tell you," he said. You looked down at him, and lightly slapped the top of his head. He turned his head to look at you, glaring slightly. "Why... aren't you heavy?" He asked. You didn't weigh anything, despite your body being on his shoulders. Every body type has weight, that's just how humans work. But then again, you weren't human. "Well, I can appear how I want to. I appear how I used to look in my life before being a cupid. And as for why, I just make myself lighter by floating so you're not carrying me," you explained, softly petting his hair in apology for hitting him. He nodded, and began walking again.
Of course, that's how you ended up here, in a game of Black Jack to the death. One of the advertisement boards had lit up saying 'this way to the game arena'. Chishiya being curious, followed the signs. They led you two in the direction of a casino. There were 4 other people there when you entered.
"Chishiya, I-" you started, before he placed a finger on your lips. "Quiet," he stated quietly, seeing as he didn't want everyone else to think he was crazy. You immediately shut your mouth. "Good girl," he praised, petting your head. No one payed any mind to him, so you assumed no one heard him. You blushed at his words. Why did they sound sweet coming from him? You had always despised those words. Coming from Chishiya, they gave you butterflies. 'Nonononono! It's against the rules. Butterflies, go away!' You scolded yourself internally. You floated over the table, looking through things. There were guns under glass cases, poker chips, and decks of cards. Another thing you noticed were the nooses hanging from the ceiling. "But Chishiya, this is... less than adequate," you said, holding his face in your hands. You huffed when he didn't answer back, and decided to use your magic, talking through his mind.
''Chishiya what in the Hades do you think you're doing!''
"Oh, this is new. Lovely."
"Don't ignore my question you brat!"
"If anyone's the brat it's you. So, be quiet like a good girl would."
This time, the words didn't sound sweet. They sounded like how he had said them. It almost made you throw up.
"Stop calling me that."
"Why? You seemed to like it."
"Chishiya... please. It just... it reminds me of someone I would like to forget."
"Well, that's not my problem, is it?"
"Chishiya I-''
"Just be quiet. I'm trying to focus."
You frowned, and nodded. He had always been kind of mean to others, and maybe sarcastic with you, but he had never been that rude to you. It made you hurt, shocking you, as this had never happened in your course of being a cupid. Why did it hurt so much coming from him? Others had said the same thing, but it never bothered you. Why was it? Although, it had happened in your life before becoming a cupid. But you didn't want to remember. You don't want to. But, in the moment, your memories got the best of you.
"Just take it like a good girl," he mocked, hitting you once more. You winced in pain. "Pl-please just stop!" You pleaded, wiping away the blood, wincing at the burning sensation. He only snickered as you tried to stumble away. You reached the door, only for him to grab your braided hair, pulling you back. You let out a sharp cry as you feel to the dirt floor. Dust flew up, making you sneeze, and your eyes burn from the dust getting in them. There was dirt all over your skirt, mixing with the blood that dripped from your injuries.
"Good girls don't get hurt. All you have to do is be a good girl and you won't get hurt," he said, crouching down in front of you and grabbing your chin with his hand. The teasing tone in his voice obvious. He spoke down to you as if you were a child. You averted your eyes, looking away from the man in front of you. "Remember the vows. You promised to love, honor, and obey me. So do as your told like a good girl," he said, spitting on your face. He let you go, leaving the house, as you curled up, crying to yourself. You knew he would come back and act like everything was fine. Like he didn't treat you like trash on the street. You wished he had stayed the sweet boy you fell in love with. So, as you fell asleep through tears and wracking sobs, you imagined he still was. That you were madly in love with the same sweet boy who used to bring you flowers. The sweet boy who used to kiss you goodbye.
You heard Chishiya gasp, and looked over at him.
"Who the hell was that? Why the fuck- what- what happened?"
"What are you talking about?"
"You! You and that man! Is that... is that why you don't like it? The nickname, I mean."
"...Yes."
"I-... I'll stop then."
You had a feeling apologies weren't his thing, so left it at that. You couldn't believe Chishiya was able to see into your mind. You knew that you two were linked because of when you talked to him, but no one had ever been able to look into your mind as you had been able to look into theirs. There had only been one other person who had been able to do that.
All was well, until one person lost, getting pulled up by the noose around his neck. You flinched, grabbing your neck. "Oh my..." you whispered. You heard Chishiya snicker at your reaction. "Chishiya Shuntarou, that is no laughing matter!" You scolded. He shrugged, going back to the game. He was to apathetic for his own good. You guessed this is what his mother was talking about. He didn't experience the normal family love as others would. He didn't experience love at all, you guessed, and that left him to be an apathetic man who had no care for his life, or anyone else's. He put no value on anyone's life, including his own.
"Sociopathic oh so tragic~" you sang, putting up the laundry on the hooks. "It's not my fault that I play with magic~"you continued, the sheets and clothes swaying lightly in the wind. You felt a hand on your waist, and tensed up. "What's that about magic?" You heard him say. Your eyes widened as he put his head in the crook of your neck. The cocking of his gun was the other sound you heard. "D-darling, it's just a rhyme I h-heard the ch-children down the s-street sing. I-it's all in good fun and i-innocence," you stuttered, hoping he wouldn't do anything to drastic. "Magic would explain why the men in town were talking about you. Whore," he spat, his grip on you becoming tighter. You felt the tip of his gun press against your back. "Let me go," you ordered, your voice stern and high strung. "Let me go, or I'll scream. Let everyone know what you've been doing. It's not my fault I was the talk of the town today. Maybe if you hadn't bruised my skin, I wouldn't be. Just as I promised in my vows, you promised too. You get your hands off me, or I'll scream. I'll scream and we'll see who's the talk off the town," you threatened, breaking away from him. You pushed him down, and picked up your skirt, running back to the house. "You bitch!" He screamed. All you remember was the sound of the gunshot, the pain in your abdomen, and the shrill shreak that came from your mouth.
Then, light. A bright light. "Oh no... my dearest (Y/N)... he will suffer in the pits of the most wretched places," the voice said. It was soft, and regal. The voice only a queen would have. "You poor woman... cursed with such a man," another spoke. This one sounded more girlish. Still regal, but as if a child spoke. You looked up, seeing two of the most beautiful women you've ever seen. One having caramel skin, shoulder length black hair, and golden eyes like those of a hawk. She wore a red dress that had gold at the ends. It ended just above her ankles. On her hair lay a headpiece with black horns, a golden snake wrapping around a red circle. The ends of her hair held golden pieces. She wore a beautiful gold and blue necklace, and had blue bracelets on her wrists and upper arm, and anklets. The other woman had golden hair braided back, with tan skin and the most pure hazel eyes you'd ever seen. She wore a sheer white dress a beautiful embroidered belt on her waist. You gasped, backing away. "Do not be frightened. I am Hathor," the woman with the raven hair said. "And I am Aphrodite. We've seen your suffering, and together, we've taken the decision to make you a cupid. The cupid of the word Pragma, to be exact," the other said. You swallowed. "You don't have to accept. But we'd appreciate if you would," Hathor said. "W-what would.. me doing that... include? My duties?" You asked. "You would help people who wanted to propose, those who are engaged, and even those who are married. You help them solve the problems. Pragma is the Greek word for the love of a married couple. Long standing love," Aphrodite explained. ''So? Do you accept?"
"(Y/N). The game is over. Let's go."
Chishiya's voice broke you from your thoughts. You looked up, seeing the people hanging, and shuddered. "Are they..?" You questioned, motioning towards the hanging bodies. He nodded, walking through the casino. He held a card in his hands. A six of diamonds.
You floated besides him, your dress flowing behind you. You didn't speak, just floated besides him. Your face was devoid of any emotion he could detect. And it was frustrating to him, someone who prided himself on being able to read others, but others not be able to read him.
"(Y/N), talk. It's to quiet. Never thought I'd say that," he said. "What do you want me to talk about?" You asked. You two sat on a bench in a park. "Who that man was. Why he hurt you. If he's suffering now," Chishiya responded. "Well, you don't sugar coat... that was my husband. In my past life. He was a sweet man... before we got married. After that, he showed his true colors. An abusive pig.  I don't know why he hurt me. And I don't think I'll ever know. He is suffering. The gods of death are making sure of it," you responded. "Gods?" He questioned. "Yes. All the gods of every religion exist. No one's wrong, but also, no one's right," you said. "Ok... makes sense. Tell me about the cupids," he requested. You smiled. "There's seven of us. Each represents a different word the Greeks had for love. We all have a lucky item, a food that can be used to summon and appease us, and a special magic," you explained. "Alright, and what's your lucky item and your special magic?" He asked. "My lucky item are the earings I wear. A wedding gift from my mother. My special magic is reading minds and talking through them. It helps a lot, especially with the people I help," you said. He nodded, looking up at the sky.
"I've never seen the sky like this. Too many lights here in the city to look," he said. You nodded, agreeing with his statement. It was quite different from the normal sky you saw. "Hey... have you as a a cupid ever fallen in love with one of your human projects?" He asked. You could tell he was joking about the word projects, but still you tilted your head in confusion. "Why do you ask?" You questioned. "Just curious. Am I allowed to be curious?" He said, a smirk on his face. "Curiosity killed the cat," you responded, returning his smirk. "But satisfaction brought it back~," he sang, his smirk turning into a wide grin. Now you could see why his name meant 'Cheshire'. You shook your head, "You are something else Chishiya." "Well, have you?"
He sure was persistant to get an answer. But then again, he was a man. Most persist even after receiving an answer, which boiled you with anger. Eros had a way of dealing with them that always made you smile. You had a feeling he wouldn't stop asking until you answered, so instead of dealing with annoyance for the next... however long you would be trapped here, you decided to answer. You thought for a second. "No. I haven't. It's been said we'll die a devine death if we do," you said. "Has anyone actually tested it out?" He asked. You shook your head. He turned your head to face him. He got closer, making you keep eye contact. "Want to know something?" He asked. You let out a shaky breath nodding. "I did fall for someone," he said, eyes locked with yours. You backed up, hitting the handle of the bench, your legs strewn out under him, your lilac dress flowing off the park bench. "W-who? I can help," you asked nervously as he got closer. He leaned his head to whisper in your ear.
"It..."
"Is...
"... You."
You gasped, closing your eyes, pushing him off softly. You could feel the warmth rise to your cheeks, and shook your head. "You don't mean that. You're lying," you started, bringing your knees into your chest. "Oh, but I do. I see no reason to lie to you when you could just read my mind," he said. You could hear the smirk in his voice. "Ch-chishiya, I could die," you stated, your voice small. He softly lifted your face. You kept your eyes closed. "You said no one's ever tried it. How would you know?" He said. You opened your eyes slowly. "Would you like to test your mortality?" You retorted. "Yes. It seems like one way to feel satisfaction," he said. He fixed the strap of your dress, pulling it back onto your shoulder. "I hate that you don't care for your own life. You need to fall in love with a mortal person... I-... even if I did return your feelings and I couldn't die from loving you, I couldn't... we couldn't be together," you said, turning to face away from him. He sighed, grabbing your face in his hands, making you look at him once more. "Do you return the feelings? Or are you afraid to admit them? Is it that you're scared of getting hurt by someone you thought you could trust again? Is it the fear of death?" He questioned, although you could tell he was reading you like a kid's book, not really looking for an answer.
You looked down. "I-i don't know. And even if I couldn't die from it, you are still a mortal being. I live forever," you said. "There's only one way to find out if it's true. So, stop me if you really don't have feelings for me," he said, leaning in to you. Your breath got caught in your throat. He stopped, his forehead resting on yours. "Stop me if you don't want me to. I will. I'm not a monster, you know," he whispered. You took a shaky sigh.
When was the last time you had ever done anything for yourself? Not even in your past life had you been selfish. Never had you asked for more than you were given, never had you envied those who had more. You had never realized that throughout the years, you has become a bit sad at everyone else falling in love with your help, but you weren't allowed to. If the gods and goddess didn't want you to fall in love, then they should have made you to not feel it. None of the cupids had ever tested it. So, if the goddesses and gods of love could fall in love with mortals and do whatever they pleased, why couldn't you? It wasn't fair. For once, you were going to make a decision that benefited you. No more being afraid of unseen consequences.
You closed your eyes, nodding softly. "Go ahead," you whispered. In a second, his lips were pressed against yours. His hand caressed the side of your face, pulling you in closer. Your lips were so soft, and you tasted like apple. He thought to himself that he would become addicted to the taste. He pulled away, and watched as you touched your body. "I-im still here... I'm still here. Chishiya, I'm still here!" You repeated, throwing yourself on him. You hugged him tightly, and he pet your head softly. "See, nothing ha-" he started, before getting interrupted by someone clearing their throat.
You pulled away, seeing Aphrodite.
You kneeled down on the floor, ushering Chishiya to do the same. "In all my years... I never thought you'd be the one to test it," she said. You kept your eyes glued to the ground. "Lady Aphrodite, I-..." you started, thinking over your words. You took a big breath in. "I'm sorry, but... I won't apologize for falling in love. I think... for once I wanted to do something for myself. If you must punish anyone, punish me," you said. "(Y/N)-" Chishiya started. You shot him a look that said to stay quiet. He glared at you.
"I'm not staying quiet, damn woman."
"Don't start now. Not in her presence."
"You're not getting hurt because I forced my feelings onto you I c-"
"You didn't force your feelings on me. Let me deal with this."
"(Y/N), you're not getting punished. I don't know who told you ladies you weren't allowed to fall in love. I just thought it was something you seven had made a pact on. It seems more serious than what I first assumed," Aphrodite said. You looked up in shock. "I-. I can fall in love? But... Zues said-" you stuttered. "Zues? Did he really? I'll have a chat with him. But now, you have two options. 1, keep being a cupid, and have him join you in your immortal life. So, yes, your darling would become immortal. Or 2, become mortal again, and live the rest of your mortal lives together," She said. You looked over at Chishiya who smirked.
"What do you want to do?"
"I should be asking you that. It's your immortal life that would be lost. So you decide."
"Well... I like being a cupid. And I love you... I want you forever and ever..."
"Then there's your answer."
"But is it what you want? I don't want to make a decision based solely on my wants."
"(Y/N), I've already told you. I would care less whatever you pick. Both benefit me. Only one benefits you with giving you both things you want."
"I... I would like to stay a cupid, and have him indefinitely my lady," you said with a small smile. You liked the sound of having Chishiya by your side forever. She smiled brightly.  "I'm so happy you've found someone. It was me and Hathor's goal since we chose you. I can't fathom why Zues would tell you ladies you couldn't fall in love. But, all shall be fixed soon. The others are all out on their own missions now. I think they're all headed the same way you two did. So, let's see where they go," she informed. She touched her hands to Chishiya's head, and smiled. "So you do have pure intentions with her. Good. Now... I'm not sure why, but my magic isn't exactly working here. I could barely appear in here. So, I must wait till you're back in the normal world to help you become immortal. Be careful my dear (Y/N)... This world is dangerous. Protect him best you can, although he seems to be plenty clever. Maybe a bit to clever for his own good? And, Chishiya?" She said, looking towards him. He lifted his head, looking at her for the first time, shocked to see she looked like you. From your hair, to your eyes, to your height, to your body type. She smiled, "Don't hurt her." And with that, she disappeared in a cloud of rose gold dust that blew away in the breeze. He turned to you, a shocked expression on his face, "She- she looked like you. Exactly like you." You giggled, and put your hand on his shoulder. "The belt she was wearing? It was made by her husband. He enchanted the belt so she was able to look beautiful to anyone who looked at her. But, everyone's standard of beauty is different, so she looks different to everyone who gazes at her," you explained. He nodded slowly, before looking away. You were confused, before seeing his ears painted red. "Chishiya, are you blushing?" You teased, turning him to face you. You grabbed his face softly, making him look at you. He averted his eyes. "I don't think I've ever seen you bashful or shy," you teased again. "Shut up... it's- this is all new to me," he stuttered. "I'm glad you find me beautiful," you said, kissing his nose. He smirked.
"You missed," he said. You looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean I- mmph!" You started, before getting interrupted with his lips on yours.
Maybe breaking the 'rule' for your own feelings was the right choice. No, scratch that, it was the right choice. And you would forever be with a person who loved you.
Next will be Last Boss, then after that it's Niragi's. Just a small reminder, these will all talk about past trauma which will include thing such as abuse, rape, assault, murder and other things. You became a cupid due to the experiences, OK? Thank you so much for reading, have an amazing day/night!
Hathor is the Egyptian goddess of love, and I tried to describe her as well as I could from the reference I found!

A Hero II  (Shinsou x Reader)
A/N: I did not intend for this fic to be three parts, but it seems that I have been writing too fast to keep track of the word count. This chapter will have a little fluff with mostly angst. I promise though, the next part is entirely fluff and my favorite piece to date. Hope you enjoy and thank you so much for the support.
!!!Sort of spoilers but not really you’ll be fine
word count: 4350
Part One/Part Two/ Part Three
“Where are you?”
“I’m with Aizawa-sensei. Is everything okay?”
“Oh, that’s great. Do you mind if I come visit for a minute?”
“Uh, sure, but why?”
“I don’t know, I just really don’t feel good. I feel like crying and I need to see you.”
“Ah, okay. I’ll be waiting for you.”
“I’ll be by the classroom in like, five minutes.”
“See you in a little bit.”
Shinsou set down his phone after hanging up. “I’m really sorry for taking a call while we’re talking, sensei.”
The dark haired, tired teacher in front of him only sighed and shook his head. He really didn’t care if the kid took a phone call. He was more mature and obedient than the majority of his students, so it wasn’t a big deal. It was nice to take a break from teaching reckless wannabe heroes all day like Midoriya and Bakugo. “Someone coming to interrupt our lesson, I suppose.”
“Yeah, but just for a second. It won’t be an issue.”
“Who?”
“Y/N.”
“Bakugo’s adoptive sister, right?” he asked, exasperated already. He could only imagine the kind of person someone related to that blond devil would be, even if it wasn’t by blood. Just being around him for so long no doubt would corrupt anyone. Having one Bakugo around was more than enough, but two? Unmanageable. A good reason to quit his job.
Shinsou nodded. He fiddled with his neck wrappings, feeling himself getting anxious. He wanted to see Y/N, he really did. But in front of his teacher, someone he looked up to and didn’t want to see him go soft...not ideal. He just hoped she would talk to him outside in private and nothing be heard or seen. “Yes.”
Aizawa leant back against the blackboard, crossing his arms over his chest. Talking about his personal life could be useful too. He was curious about the kid. He was so ambitious and strong-willed, competent in a world of idiots. If this girl, whoever she was, made him happy, that would only boost his morale when fighting. It was a good thing for him to be lovesick, actually. Aizawa hummed, “Interesting. She’s in your class, I completely forgot about that. Didn’t think you were the type to have friends, honestly.”
“I’m not. It’s just...well, I can’t explain. She’s different.”
A head popped in the doorway of the classroom a moment later, and it was almost as if a cloud  had formed on the ceiling. Her smile was obviously fake, and her eyes screamed with the shine of not-so-distant sadness. He had to close his eyes for a quick moment and take a deep breath to calm himself down. His face was heating up and his heart started to race again. She was so fucking precious, even when she was about to cry..
“Shinsou,” she muttered, not even bothering to step into the classroom.
“I’ll be back in a minute, sensei.”
“That’s fine. Take your time.” The man waved off his student, not wanting to bother him. The girl looked pathetic standing there with that fake grin. Already, he could tell she wasn’t much like her brother. He should have known that knowing Shinsou cared for her so much. He wouldn’t associate with people like the hothead. Aizawa also didn’t hate her upon first glance, and that was quite shocking. He really disliked everyone.
Shinsou stepped outside into the hall. She stepped forward to be closer to him just by a little, and her eyes flickered down to his hand. Knowingly, he reached out to take her hand in his, rubbing the backs of her knuckles with his thumb, just like he always did when she was sad. She was the first one to initiate it, holding his hand that time in the alleyway. Ever since then, she asked for him to hold her hand, to make her feel a little better.
“Did something happen?”
“No, not really. I’ve just had a really shitty day. I accidentally spilled fruit milk all over my homework and my brand new textbook. When I was walking out to the dorms, that little freak with the purple balls on his head tried to look up my skirt. My mom called and yelled at me because of my grade in mathematics, even though I told her you were gonna start tutoring me, but she didn’t even care. And then, when I got to the dorms, I tried to take a nap but I had this terrible nightmare where you died and stuff, and it’s just been a really bad day.”
“Wow, that does sound shitty, I’m sorry, Y/N,” he said. For a moment he paused, thinking through what he could do for her before asking, “Do you want to wait here and we can go out somewhere when Sensei and I are finished?”
“Maybe. I’d rather hang out with you the rest of the day then go back and wallow in my own self-loathing,” she answered miserably, letting her head fall to stare at her shoes. “I just don’t want to bother you, Shinsou.”
“Don’t say that. You’re never a bother,” he hushed. “Didn’t I tell you I would do anything for you?”
“You’re too nice to me.”
“Not possible. I’m just doing what I want.” He always said that. He was never doing her a favor, she was never making him go out of his way or do something he didn’t want to do. For some reason, he found that whatever she wanted, he also wanted. If she wanted to sleep in bed all day, so be it, that’s what he wanted to do too. If she wanted to travel the world, he might just drop everything in Japan and go with her. He felt ridiculous about it, but it was true. That’s how she made him feel.
Whenever she was happy, he was happy. So, all he wanted was her to be content.
“You’ll have to tell me more about your day and that nightmare you had later. Talking about it helps.”
“Okay.”
“Wait in the library until I’m done?”
“Yeah. I’ll see you later.”
He nodded, taking away his hand to step back into the doorway. He placed a hand on the doorframe and leaned into it. “Bye, Y/N.” His eyes trained on her face as she lifted her head to look at him, a small, genuine smile on her face this time. Maybe he was dramatic, but that girl was all he ever wanted to look at. That smile, it made him feel like a million bucks. He felt like a real hero whenever her lips turned up in that familiar way.
“Thank you, Hitoshi. Bye…” He turned to enter the classroom but she stopped him, grabbing his wrist before he could completely go. When he turned to see what she wanted, she pushed herself forward into his arms, wrapping her own around his waist. “I really wanted a hug.”
He sighed into her touch, wrapping his own arms around her shoulder and one to rest on the back of her head. “No problem.”
“Okay, now for real this time, bye.” Finally, the girl pulled away from his hug, waving to him with her now with a full bright smile on her face and a bit of pep in her step. For a moment, all he could look at was her going down the empty hall, he almost forgot what he was originally doing.
“You done?” a voice mumbled behind him, and he jumped. How could he forget that Aizawa was right there? He saw them hug and everything, how awkward. He felt like a real sissy boy in front of his idol.
“Yes, sorry about that. Won’t happen again.”
The man rolled his eyes, his lip quirking in the tiniest of smirks. “We both know you can’t promise that,” he said. “So what is she? Your little girlfriend?”
His mouth opened and he stumbled over words to say. “No-No, of course not. She’s my friend and that’s it.”
“I see.”
They went back to the lesson as normal, talking and discussing possible moves and tools that could be utilized with his quirk. Still, Y/N ran through his mind over and over. At this point, he felt like he was actually going insane. Why couldn’t he focus on something else for once? Had this girl completely consumed his mind? He just couldn’t shake the thought of her and how she looked at him. Did people normally feel this way for their best friends? He had no idea, he’d never had one to know for sure.
Nevertheless, he wasn’t going to tell anyone about how he felt. He wasn’t really big on talking about his feelings.
The clock ticked away quickly, and by the time he was focused on the lesson at hand, it was already over. Aizawa had to go home to feed his cat dinner, and the sun was just going down for the night. He gathered his things and started out the door, leaving his sensei behind.
“She’s cute.Your ‘not girlfriend’, that is. She’s not what I expected.”
“Yeah, I know. She’s kinda perfect.”
The older man only sighed, nodding to agree with the boy. “For you.”
“No, she’s just my friend.”
“Fine. She’s the perfect friend for you.” He waved his hands, motioning the boy to leave him the hell alone and go to the library. “Get going, your friend is waiting.”
Needless to say, that was one of the most embarrassing moments of his entire life.
_____________________________________________
The dorms had been around for a couple months now, that meant that classes lived together and saw each other much more often than they used to. Shinsou had to admit, he wasn’t upset about the change. He couldn’t decide what he liked better, waking up to see Y/N in the dining room in her pajamas and hair untamed, stuffing her face with sugary cereal, or her visiting his room late at night after curfew to watch movies and stare out the window looking for constellations.
God, seeing her every day, even on the weekends... It made him feel like this was worth it. It had been months and he hadn’t tired of her. Normally, he couldn’t stand the same annoying friends after a period of time.
He was nearly asleep when a soft knock sounded on his door, echoing softly in the dorm. Lazily, he picked up a pen from his side table and tossed it to the door with a quiet thud, signalling for the only person it could be to come in. No one visited him in his dorm, no one except her.
The door creaked open, followed by a girl slipping through the crack. A click meant the door had closed, and he let out a breath of relief. She was here again to give him company, something he desperately needed..
When she was with him, he felt so different. He felt special, like there was hope for him. He relished in the feeling, entranced by her presence alone.
"Hey," he breathed, rolling over in his bed to face her. She flopped down on the other side of the bed, face first into the pillows. “What’s up?”
“Lonely and missing you,” she told him. Again, his heart jumped at her words. She missed him. She always told him she missed him, when they were allowed to go home, when they had classes at different times, when she went out with her friend, on long weekends away from the dorms. She always missed him. He was almost sure she was exaggerating. How could she miss him that much? He wasn’t very exciting, just a friend. The only other person she often missed was her brother, who stayed across the yard of dorms.
“Well, what do you wanna do? Watch a movie or something?” he asked.
“Honestly, I just want to talk. I have so many things on my mind.” She paused, rolling over on the bed to face him, face sinking into his pillow. Her eyes held so much fear he thought she must be drowning in it. He had no idea what to expect when she came in that night. She hadn’t texted him or said anything earlier in the day during their classes.
He wanted to reach out to her and hug her, make her feel some compassion instead, but he thought that was too intimate. If there was one thing he was afraid of, it would be making her uncomfortable. Part of the reason he loved her company was that she seemed completely at ease in his presence and he in hers.
“It’s about this war,” she whispered.
“What’s worrying you?”
She shut her eyes, not wanting to look him in the eyes directly. Images of her friends and family lay dead in her mind, and she had to take a deep breath to calm down. “All I can think about is how many people we are going to lose. My brother is one of the strongest students here; no doubt he’s going to get dragged into this fight. Hell, he already has.”
Shinsou nodded, lost in a bit of his own thoughts. Everyone knew how dangerous the league was, how horrible the casualties would be. He tried not to think about it, but how can you not when everyone talks about it? When your teachers are preparing to die and leave you behind? “I know what you mean. Aizawa-sensei is in the same position.”
“It just scares me so much,” Y/N whispered, pressing her face deeper into the pillow, trying to find an ounce of comfort in the softness and the scent. Nothing was helping at this point. “What do I do if I lose Katsuki? What happens if they kill Hawks or Endeavour? What do we do then? Society can’t just expect kids to sacrifice their lives.”
“You just have trust in the ones stronger than you. I know it’s hard, hell, I just want to go out and fight alongside them,” he confessed. “But, I can’t, and you can’t.”
“I just hate it. I feel so fucking worthless, Shinsou,” she cursed, tears pooling at the corners of her eyes, soaking into the pillowcase tear after tear. “All Katsuki has ever done for me is protect me, fight for me; all my life he’s been this way. I hate that I’m not strong enough to help him now when he needs it the most. I'm so worthless.” her words began to shake, and toward the end, she choked down a sob. He watched the whites of her eyes fill with red, irritated from the tears and her squeezing her eyes shut to keep them in.
He lifted his arm, tucking the other under his pillow. Instinctively, she moved forward, pressing her forehead to his chest and curling her arms up in front of her to rest between. He held her to him, resting his chin on the top of her head, buried in her knotted hair. Her cries ran through her entire body, and he held her tighter to his chest in an attempt to ease the tremors. It seemed his instinct to hug was right. She needed this.
Fuck, he needed the embrace too,  just to feel someone alive against him.
“Y/N, you’re not worthless. You give your brother hope and motivation just by being with him. He loves you, and wants to live another day so he can see his sister again. You know that,” he said soothingly, although he felt a tickle at the back of his throat, pain lurking up. “Besides, what would I do without you? I need you.”
“No one needs me, Hitoshi. Nobody,” she sobbed. How could she believe that? Both of the boys had saved her life multiple times, yet she had done nothing for them. “I’m just a background character. I’m nothing.”
He tilted his head down, his lips just skimming her hair. “You’re the only friend I have. You’re the first person who made me realize I could be a hero, that I wasn’t just a villain. Do you think that’s nothing? ” he muttered, “To me, you’re the main character. You’re all I care about and the only person I ever want to be with.”
“Hitoshi, you fucking idiot,’ she cried. He felt her hands grab handfuls of his shirt, clenching her fists so tightly her knuckles must have turned white. “Why do you care so much about me?”
He lied.
“It’s because you’re my best friend.”
It’s because I’m falling in love with you.
“I never want to lose you, Hitoshi. Promise me, you won’t leave me, promise,” Y/N begged, practically demanding him to give her that little push of assurance. She needed someone’s words to keep her going, to know it was okay.
“I promise.”
It seemed like, when he was with her, he made more promise than he ever had in his life. Shinsou never believed in making promises because he never really intended on keeping them, so he avoided them. Yet, he wanted to make promises to her. He wanted her to trust him, and find comfort in his word.
In this world, you can’t predict when you’ll die or how long you’ll live, but as long as he could, he would stay with her.
He danced around their friendship. It always felt like he would make a mistake and reveal how he really felt about her. He loved their friendship, cherished it with all his heart. But that didn’t stop him from feeling something much more intense. He didn’t know for sure how he felt, only he was attached. Maybe he was falling for her. It could have been a crush.
All he knew was that those feelings were real.
She lifted her head from his chest, and he pulled back to look down at her. She was puffy in the eyes and her cheeks stained with tears. He lifted his hand, gently bringing his thumb to rub against her cheek, pushing away the salty tears. His hand stayed there, fingers sliding against her skin so softly, almost ghostly.
Goosebumps rose up on her arms at the subtle touch, and her heart beat faster. His hand stopped moving to rest on the side of her face, fingers tucked back by her neck. He was so warm, and she leant into him. Her eyes met his dark violet ones ridden with deep bags from lack of sleep. Still, he was handsome, so perfect in her eyes. His face moved closer to hers, and her eyes flickered down to his lips. Her eyes shut, moving ever so slowly closer to him.
A loud chime rang out from her back pocket. Startled, she jumped away from him, her hand flying to her pocket to grab her phone and shut it up. It was probably just a spam call anyway.
Katsuki.
She sighed, sitting up on the mattress and swinging her legs over the edge. She turned back to the boy, but was unable to make eye contact. He laid there with his forearm resting over his eyes, not looking at her either. “Shinsou...I-I’m sorry but I have to take this. I’ll see you tomorrow in class, okay?”
“Yeah, no problem. I'll see you tomorrow then.”
“See you,” she said quietly as she walked out the door, answering the phone as she did so.
Once the door was closed, he let out a load groan, turning on his side and curling up around one of his pillows. What the fuck was that? Were they about to kiss or was that just his imagination? Why did Bakugo have to call at that very moment? He couldn’t have waited, like, another 10 seconds?
He felt so good, having her pressed against him, to hear her telling him she needs him, to hold her face in his hands. She was the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen, he was sure of it now. Even while she cried, she still looked perfect to him, like an angel came to Earth just for him. Maybe she was an angel after all. No other girl as wonderful as her would take interest in him. She was here to save him, bring him hope and love and make him feel something while he was alive for however long. He always longed to feel anything other than guilt and anger and sadness.
And his angel had brought that to him.

Y/N had gone out to the corner store for some snacks that afternoon instead of training, so he proceeded to sit and study. His quirk wasn’t really the best to practice alone, for obvious reasons. In the courtyard outside, he sat with his heavy books, math problems flashing in his mind.
He was smart, so this kind of thing was never an issue for him. For Y/N, though, they had to work on that. She despised mathematics with a passion to the point where he would have to bribe her just to get her to do her homework. It was sad, but quite humorous for Shinsou.
“Yo, loser.”
He lifted his head at the voice, his eyes trailing up to see Bakugo, slouched over in his messy uniform. “Can I help you?”
“Yeah, actually, you can.”
Shinsou prayed that there would be no violence here. But with how her brother was, it could go crazy really fast. It wasn't that he was afraid of Bakugo at all, in fact, Shinsou knew with his quirk he would win a fight. It would just make Y/N upset.
He set down his pencil and moved over on the bench to make room for the blond, who hunkered down beside him. He didn’t take his hands out of his pockets, and didn’t move to make eye contact.
"Well what do you want?"
He shifted, practically itching to walk away. Still he persisted. "Y/N talks about you so fucking much, you know," he finally grumbled. "Shinsou this. Shinsou that. Seriously it's annoying "
Part of the purple haired boy was flattered and frankly excited. She talked about him to her family? He was sure it was all good things of course, but to know that he occupied her mind when he wasn't around? It was amazing.
To be honest, he thought about her more than you normally would with just a friend. Her smile, her laugh, her voice. All of it just ran through his mind all hours of the day.
"Ah, okay."
"Listen, I'm definitely not here to be your friend, fuck that. You're a creepy ass dude." As usual, rude as hell with no filter whatsoever. Typical. "It's just that I feel like I should...ugh, thank you."
"Huh, never thought I'd hear that come from you, Bakugo," Shinsou replied with a smirk.
"Shut it." He paused, leaning back to stare up at the sky. "Y/N hasn't ever really had a friend, not one that was good to her at least. You're the first person to really bring her out of her shell. She's a hard-core introvert, I guess."
"Don't thank me. I'm not doing anything I don't want to."
"I know. It’s just that when I convinced her to come to U.A., she thought she would be all alone, you know, bullied and shit like before. I'm just glad someone's been there for her."
"I really can't see why people would bully her. She's kind and beautiful and smart."
"Yeah, right, I know. People just like to pick on little girls." Bakugo sighed, clenching using fists in his pockets. "I've just gotten so busy recently with everything, I haven't had the time to be her brother. You've watched out for her instead."
"She doesn't even need someone to watch out for her. She's not a baby, she's strong enough to handle herself now," Shinsou replied. "We all have our moment of weakness."
"Y/N told mom about how you got rid of that thug the day I was sick. Can't believe it," he muttered. "Nothing happened, but I swear if you weren't there and something did,  I would’ve kicked some major ass. So thanks for that too."
"Like I said, you shouldn't thank me. It's just the right thing to do."
"Yeah, but you aren't just doing it out of the kindness of your heart, Y/N isn't a damn charity.” His face lightened for a moment, the scowl softening into a grimace. "You love her, any dumbass can tell. I'm not sure if she feels the same way, but, shit…I’ve just never seen her happier than when she’s hanging out with you."
Shinsou said nothing. What was there to say? Bakugo was right. He did love her. Maybe for a while he thought it was just a crush, but it wasn't. Sure, if that criminal were harassing anyone else, he would do the same thing for them. Only, he wasn't sure he would turn around from his walk home to make sure they were safe. He wouldn't let just anyone come into his room at any hour of the night for hugs and cuddles, or a shoulder to cry on. That just wasn't him.
So he felt comfortable being confronted with the fact. Because it was real. He really loved her, and he would never deny it.
"I've got a bad feeling, loser. A really bad feeling something is gonna happen to me. You have to be there for Y/N when it does. Swear to me," Bakugo commanded, turning to stare the other boy in the eyes. They weren't friends, it was true. In fact, Shinsou didn't like the guy one bit. But he could feel the pain and hopelessness in his voice, guilt that he might not be there anymore.
And so, he felt himself making another promise for her.
He nodded. "Yeah, I swear. I'd never let anything happen to her."
"Good. Glad to know there's somebody else out here in this shitty world that loves her."
"Me, too."
Part Three is up as well so check that out.

Bitter Memories
Tumblr media
First of all I'd like to thank @bnhabookclub for allowing me to join their server, thanks to them I got the chance to meet so much wonderful people that helped me out with this request. I'd like to thank @honeytama and @samanthaa-leanne for beta-reading this for me as well! You guys were some great help!
Now time for some sibling bonding between The birdbrain and his baby chick!
Warnings: MANGA SPOILERS, INJURIES, MENTIONS OF ABUSE, MENTIONS OF ALCOHOL, ANGST, FLUFF.
Your lungs felt like they were burning with each step you took, blood pressure reaching a terrifying level from the adrenaline running through your veins in a desperate attempt to reach a certain room.
The only command your brain seemed to understand was to look for HIM.
If there was something you absolutely despised was hospitals, the smell of medicine that overwhelmed your nostrils was despicable, hearing the wails of people as they lost a loved one always sent shivers through anyone's spine.
You rushed to the main desk, slamming both hands in front of the receptionist before asking for Takami Keigo's room, at first she only gave you a look, believing you were nothing more than a fangirl who happened to find out the winged hero had arrived to the hospital due to his injuries from the last mission.
Imagine her surprise when you showed her an ID with the same last name as the current number two hero, that seemed to do the trick as she swiftly began tapping away on her computer with nothing but embarrassment on her face at the idea she almost told one of the hero's relatives to scram.
She didn't bother to say anything as she saw you running away to see him as soon as you were told in which room he was recovering.
The sound of your own heartbeat felt so loud and heavy against your ears it could almost be heard by anyone who happened to get close, the few nurses, doctors and patients that happened to pass by only say a blur passing them like a gust of wind.
Nothing mattered to you in that moment but a single goal, to find your older brother.
Hawks may be a pain in the ass most of the time who's always teasing you or trying to scare away any guy who happened to look in your direction for more than two minutes.
He may have abandoned you with that pair of alcoholics you had the unfortunate luck of call "parents".
He may have left you behind all those years to become a hero.
But in the end he was still your older brother, the same dork that kept trying and trying to spend time with his little sister, even despite the may times his calls were ignored and sent over to voicemail. The same guy who got nothing but corn chips as birthday and christmas gifts and posted it on his twitter account with a smile at his sister's antics.
The same guy who had your back during that mission where you got severely injured, and that almost cost you the one thing that allowed Takami Y/N to follow the path of a hero...your wings.
Doors kept going and going one after another in a seemingly endless row as you ran around the halls.
424...425...426....
426! That was the number! The words "Takami Keigo" written neatly underneath.
You stood in place for a minute....gasping for air and feeling like someone had rubbed sandpaper inside your throat from how parched it felt, but that didn't matter in that moment, the only thing that really mattered was knowing your brother would be alright.
Knocking gently on the door before stepping inside didn't prepare you for the sight laid in front of your eyes.
There in a hospital bed sat your brother looking outside through the window, bandages littered almost his whole body as well as a good portion of his face from the way the left side of his face was also bandaged.
But what really knocked out all of your breath and caused bile to rapidly rise up your throat was the one thing that made people recognize Keigo as one of the best heroes all across Japan, the lack of those beautiful vermilion wings that grew on his back felt like a bucket of iced water had been thrown on your back.
"...Keigo?"
His head, which had been tilted up while admiring the world through the other side of the window, slowly turned back towards you, seeing the left side of his face, including his eye covered in bandages didn't help soothing the growing pit inside your stomach.
Keigo's eyes no longer held that characteristic mischievous energy of his, but they still had faint traces of that comforting warmth he always held for those he held close to him.
"...Y/N?"
Somehow hearing him call out your name instead of that annoying nickname you absolutely despised and he always used just for the sake of riling you up made a huge wave of pain crash into your very soul like a tsunami, never in life did you ever thought there would come a day where not hearing Keigo calling out for his "baby chick" would end up feeling this horribly painful.
Running up towards him caught Keigo off guard, more so when he felt the warmth of your body envelope his upper half and the way your whole body trembled like nothing but a mere leaf in the middle of a storm, somehow it made something inside him break, hands wrapping around your own shoulders to return the embrace before burying his face down.
In that moment Keigo realized just how touch starved he really is, all because of all those years of ruthless and rigorous training his younger self had to endure to become not a hero, but a weapon for a broken system.
"...Was it worth it Y/N?" He murmured sadly in the collar of your sweater, that voice was not Keigo's, but that of a broken man who's life had lost its whole meaning in a matter of hours, after all...that's exactly what happened to him when Dabi burned down his wings to nothing but ashes.
Keigo's words were confusing, but even though you tried to pull away to take a look at him the hold he had on you wouldn't budge.
"What do you mean Keigo?"
His whole body began trembling, for a second it almost seemed like he was the younger brother, the one seeking for the protection one could only get from someone as close as an older sibling.
"I know what you had to endure because of me" each word Keigo muttered made his voice slowly start breaking bit by bit.
"Having to grow up surrounded by trash bags and beer bottles scattered all over the floor, endure all of the yelling and the fighting..." You only held him tighter into your own body, knowing what exactly he was referring to in the first place.
"And after our old man was arrested and Ma left?...you had to deal with that asshole all by yourself 'cause nobody else believed you"
"What are you talking about birdbrain? are you high on morphine or something?" you had a suspicion of where this was going and tried to find a way to change the subject, but Keigo didn't budge one bit.
"Aika, that darned foster sister of yours, I know how much she enjoyed to bother you and make you cry...How she always said your whole family abandoned you"
Of course he knew about that...How the only child of that foster family disliked you, hating the idea of having to share her parents with someone that wasn't even related to them.
Every time Keigo would come to visit she'd try to get his attention, having similar ages made her develop a crush on your brother, and when his visits became less frequent she made it her goal to make your life miserable, spewing cold harsh lies about Keigo getting tired of coming to see you, in the beginning her words would only end up being ignored.
However bit by bit the cruel whispers slowly began digging deep inside your heart, despite knowing she only said those thing to hurt you. It was more painful having to wait for Keigo's visit while sitting outside, sometimes even for hours just to realize he didn't show up that day.
Even though you tried hard not to, slowly her words began corrupting the image you had of Keigo, until eventually you started becoming bitter towards him.
It went on for years, and every time you tried telling on her with your foster parents they only brushed it off thinking it was only an exaggeration, Aika was cunning after all and only did this when your parents were not around, or would whisper those cruel words lowly enough for only you to hear.
Aika didn't see it coming when after a fall out with one of her friends, said girl told everything to Hawks after being rescued by the hero during a villain attack, her friend knew you were related to said man because Aika always complained about her annoying foster sister to anybody nearby, much to their annoyance.
Neither she or her family expect the number two hero himself to come into their home shortly shortly after you moved into the dorms, much less with proof and witnesses of everything she had said and done to his sister over the years, saying her parents were upset was putting it low, they were livid to find out what their "sweet" daughter had been doing for years.
The shame when they realized all those claims were true was suffocating, neither of them could even see the hero eye to eye as he gave the young woman a cold harsh glare, all she could do was grit her teeth in rage and shame knowing she had been caught.
"How did you find out?" Just hearing the name Aika was almost enough to make you want to cry, you'd never forgive that girl as long as you lived...
"I found out through some of her friends, you should have seen their faces when I arrived at their home and confronted her" He chuckled dryly, still bitter at the idea that girl kept bothering you endlessly even after you got accepted into UA.
"You don't have to worry about her anymore baby chick" His hold became softer, and so did the pressure inside your chest when that little nickname came out of his mouth, had he seen the pained smile on your face his brother instincts would have probably kicked in into high alert.
"Just tell me you didn't threaten them" Keigo pulls away to give you an offended look that quickly morphed into a teasing smile.
"What do you take me for? Some kind of monster?" His hands ruffles your hair "I just had a talk with them, besides her parents did more than enough if I do say so myself, you should have seen her face when they took away her car keys, some spoiled brat you had to deal with over the years"
You huffed in agreement, remembering how she always kept whining to your foster parents to give her money so she could go shopping with her friends, and the glare she sent in your direction if they ever told her to take you along for the day.
"You know, having to deal with our parents and her made me stronger, I may have resented you for a long time Keigo...but I can't really say that I actually hated you in the first place"
His expression changed in an instant, eyebrows furrowed in frustration over the fact you kept trying to lighten the subject.
"Y/N, you were a child, you didn't need to be strong, you needed to be safe and I failed to do the one thing your brother should have done all those years ago, protect his little sister"
The room went silent for a minute, neither you or Keigo said anything else for a while, he knew he was right, you knew he was right, but it's not like you could turn back time to fix everything that went downhill all those years ago...
"I failed you Y/N, but lord help me if I'm not going to make it up to you for everything. Whenever you need help with something, no matter what it is, homework, internships, hiding a body" The last one was obviously a joke by the sound of his voice "just come looking for your big brother"
It was like a switch had been flipped inside your head, all those years of pent up frustration directed towards Keigo disappeared in an instant, even if you tried to force yourself to feel mad it was impossible.
Not like you had anything to be mad about anymore...
"Then...I want to do the same for you birdbrain" Your eyes traveled to the bandages adorning his back, and he knew in that instant where the conversation was heading. Hesitating filled your thought for a minute before mustering enough courage to ask him about it.
"What did the doctors say...about your wings?"
He didn't answer for some time, and it worried you that somehow the question may have made him upset, but then he finally replied with a tired look on his face.
"They...don't think my wings may grow back again" He sounded lost, and in a way he was, it was because of his quirk that the hero commission took interest in him to begin with, the same reason they took him in to train as one of their best heroes to exist, the very same reason he had left you behind in the first place.
Hawks was their best agent... but now he was Hawks no more, he was just Takami Keigo, nothing more than just another civilian to them, someone that had to be protected from villains.
The only purpose they had for him was completely gone.
"Is there anything they can try? Maybe Recovery girl can do something about it?" You couldn't let this go so casually, there had to be way to help him out.
"I'm sorry baby chick...but I guess...this is the end for Hawks" His retort was heartbreaking, everything he had worked so hard for was gone in a matter of hours, and there was nothing you could do about it...
There may not be a way to help him out, but there was definitely no way you'd let his legacy die in vain.
"If there's nothing else to help bring them back..." Slowly you started speaking, voice full of determination made Keigo look back at you in surprise once you continued with your speech.
"...Then let me be your wings..."
There might be no way to bring his wings back, but that didn't mean Hawks was gone for good.
You made him a promise you intended to keep no matter what.
No longer after that day filled with pain and tears...years later when a new generation of heroes rose up to protect the world...A new Hawks fleed high through the skies with nothing but a single purpose, her one and only goal was hard, but nothing could bring her down.
To defeat those who brought pain upon this world and protect those people in dire need of help.
If there was something Takami Y/N knew better than anybody was to be strong, and she would use that very same strength she maintained over the years to keep her family's legacy alive.

1.15 Christmas special
Tumblr media
warnings: This story contains content that could be problematic for one or the other. Among other things, the story may contain content about sex, rape, late pregnancy, relationship with a large age difference, and others. Just because it's in the warnings doesn't mean these topics will appear, but they will definitely be covered in the story. The content of the story is fixed and doesn’t change. If you don't feel comfortable with these topics, then it's okay if you don't read the story. I just write down my ideas here and I just enjoy writing about life. The fact that some things in life are not rational or weird for some people is also part of it.
Miga opened her eyes and saw how Hyunjin was still asleep. She had stayed in the dorm that night ... the night before Christmas. Hyunjin invited her to watch Christmas movies and at some point she fell asleep on his shoulder. Not much has happened between the two. A couple of kisses, but everything else was innocent. She was still torn between him and Jaemin. But since the last time, she thought, that Jaemin had written her off. And she trusted Hyunjin, she had told him everything, he knows what she had to go through and he was patient. It was all a new experience for Miga. Men have never been so patient with her, especially when it comes to sex. But Hyunjin and Jaemin made no demands of her. Jaemin in particular always rejected her inquiries. Miga looked at the clock and was startled. It was 11 o'clock in the morning and she had to get home quickly because it was Christmas today. "Hyunjin ... I have to go." She shook him gently and then sat up. "Noooo ..." He turned to the side and hugged her hip. Miga had to smile and she stroked his hair. "It's Christmas. I have to go to my family." Miga kissed his head and then got up. His other members were still asleep or were also away to visit their families. "You're not from Seoul. Aren't you going to see your family?" Miga then asked and got dressed. "No ..." Hyunjin bowed his head and suddenly became very serious. Miga looked at him surprised and asked why he was hiding something from her. But Hyunjin thought again that she told him so much and he can now show a part of him to her. "My mum and sister died when I was very young." He didn't like to talk about it and didn't want that she feels sorry for him either, so hardly anyone knew that about him. "That means you don't have a family?", Miga asked worried and she couldn't imagine what it is like. After all, she had always lived in a big house with three brothers. "I have a father, but he's ... sick." Hyunjin grabbed his forehead and struggled with himself. "Hey, would you like to celebrate with us. If I explain that to Mum, she'll be glad to have you here." Miga sat down next to Hyunjin and looked at him worriedly. "And your father? Your offer is very sweet, but it's really okay." Hyunjin kissed her gently and smiled. "Okay, but call me when you're feeling lonely." She stroked his chest and Hyunjin nodded. She looked at him and he suddenly started smiling. "What is?", She asked and then Hyunjin pulled her back to her and kissed her. "I can't believe that you are here, that you are talking to me ... that you are kissing me." He touches her lips again and he didn't want to let go of her again. "Don't always say that." Miga shook her head and stroked his cheek. "I don't want to go, but Mum and Dad will go nuts if I'm not at home in time." She kissed Hyunjin one more time and then set off.
Sunoh videocalled Chichi who was still in Japan. He missed her more and more every day and he wanted so much to visit her. He was used to seeing her every day, spending time together and suddenly his day was so empty. And he was also worried about Chichi. Over time, he discovered that her roommates were bullying and terrorizing her. Chichi didn't say that, but he already noticed it. But now she was alone and he could talk to her in peace. "I wish you were here," Sunoh said with a sigh and he leaned into bed. "Me too." The girl looked so sad it almost pained Sunoh. And then suddenly she started crying and Sunoh found it so difficult to just watch her and not be able to do anything. "Please don't cry," he said desperately and was torn. "I'm sorry," she looked guilty at the floor and wiped away her tears, but Sunoh didn't want that either. "Chichi ... I just don't want you to be sad." Sunoh's heart was really broken and he wondered when the next flight to Tokyo would be. "Don't worry. You make me happy," she said then and smiled again. Sunoh's heart started beating wildly and he was so close to trying again and admitting his feelings to her. "Chichi ... I've wanted to tell you for a long time that I ..." "SUNOH!" Suddenly his door opened and his two little brothers came into his room and lay down in bed with him. "Haven't you heard of knocking yet?" He asked a little annoyed. "Hello Chichi," said the twins at the same time and grinned cheekily. "Hello Geon, Hello Kiwoo", she said and was happy to see the little ones again. Sunoh rested his head on the blanket and sighed. He wanted so much to confess his feelings to her and someone always intervened.
Later, when Miga returned home, Jaehyun decides to watch a Christmas movie with the children while you cook food for the family. You wanted to have some peace anyway, because you are on the phone with your sisters. "Are you at home?" Miga suddenly received a message from Jaemin. She quickly picked up her phone before her father saw it. "Yeah, I'm watching a Christmas movie with my dad and brothers." She answered him quickly before anyone became curious. "I'm standing in front of your house. Are you coming out for a minute? I have a present for you." Miga was surprised. With Jaemin it was always high and low and she never knew what to expect next. But that was something she found kind of exciting too. "Sooah just wanted to bring something over. I'll go out for a minute," Miga then lied and got up. "We don't press pause," said Kiwoo and grinned cheekily. "We watch the movie every year, I think I know what happens next." Miga rolled her eyes and then walked away quickly. She quickly put on her shoes and her coat and left the house. She immediately saw his car, which was black and elegant, and the windows were also tinted so that you couldn't tell who was inside. Jaemin was pretty famous, after all, and wanted privacy too. Miga then quickly opened the door and sat in the passenger seat. Jaemin looked good. His hair was styled, he was wearing a white shirt and his top button was open. "Hey," she said gently and Jaemin looked at her. "Hey," he greeted her quietly and turned to the side. He was so stunned from her. She looked so good and Jaemin found it harder and harder to resist her. The age difference was difficult, but why she was Jaehyun's daughter too? It was just too much. But she was perfect for him. He bit his lip and tried to keep his wits about it. "I didn't know you had anything for me." Miga grinned and leaned her head against the brown leather of the seat. You could see how Jaemin was struggling inside, he thought day and night whether he should go to her, after all there was always the danger that Jaehyun could see him. "I saw it and thought it is perfect for you." He suddenly took out a turquoise box and handed it to her. Miga accepted it in disbelief, because she saw immediately that this was something from Tiffanys. "Jaemin this is ..." Words couldn't help her and she hoped it was just a key fob or something. "If you don't like it, it's not a problem," he said uncertainly and Miga first pulled down the white ribbon and opened the box. And when she looked at the inside, she could hardly believe it all. It was a bracelet made of pure diamonds. The setting was gold, in the middle was a diamond flower and everything was surrounded with further diamonds. Miga didn't even want to imagine how much it cost. "Jaemin this is ..." She still had no words. "Don't you like it?", Jaemin asked immediately concerned and Miga shook her head. "It is wonderful." She could hardly take her eyes off the diamonds. She had worn expensive things before, for example for a photo shoot, but she had never owned anything so expensive. "I'm glad you like it." Jaemin looked relieved and watched her reaction closely. "But Jaemin, that's way too much." Miga lowered the box and now looked at Jaemin. "It suits you and that is the most important thing," he said very modestly, pretending it was a cheap plastic bracelet. "Jaemin I didn't know ... I have nothing for you now." Miga felt incredibly bad. After what had happened, she thought that he didn't want anything to do with her anymore. But at that moment he leaned forward to her and kissed her. She was surprised, because she hadn't expected it anymore, but she enjoyed it. Jaemin's kiss was so passionate, so intense. She felt his tongue and his did a wild dance with hers. Jaemin kissed her like he was making up for the days when he couldn't kiss her. She closed her eyes and felt his hand come to rest on her hip so he could pull her closer to him. Unfortunately, car seats weren't ideal for being that close. But Jaemin was kind of happy about it too. Over time, it became harder and harder for him to resist her, especially since they also made a drama together. "You are the best present for me," he then whispered and almost couldn't believe how open he was with his feelings. Miga looked at him with big eyes and she was so happy inside that he felt that way. She was about to say something, but suddenly Jaemin's phone rang. He made a short phone call and when he was finished he sighed and turned to Miga. "I have to go. My mum is waiting." He then smiled gently and stroked Miga's hand. "I should go before whoever wonders where I am." Miga smiled and enjoyed his touch. And just before she got out he pulled her to him again and kissed her goodbye. Completely in a trance, she got out of the car when she suddenly saw you. You went outside to throw away the trash and you knew this car. "Was that Jaemin?" You ask your daughter in surprise. "Uh ... huh? In the car? So yeah, that was Jaemin." Miga stammered these words to herself and didn't quite know how to face you. "What did he want?" You ask further, because it all seemed strange to you. "I still had to sign something about the script," Miga lied and hoped that you wouldn't ask any further questions. "Couldn't your father bring you that?" You ask further. "Um, no. Jaemin saw the producer today and quickly brought the document over." Miga got hot because she doesn't like to lie to you. You've always had an open and honest relationship, but everything has been difficult between you for a few weeks. "Aha", you don't quite believe her, but now there was no point in forcing her to tell the truth. Still, you decide to keep an eye on the whole thing. Miga then quickly ran to her room, lay down on the bed and looked at the diamond bracelet. It looked so elegant and so classy. She couldn't believe Jaemin gave her something so expensive. She was interested in how much it had cost, so she did a little research on the Internet. It wasn't long before she found it on the Tiffany website. The diamonds were 18 carats and cost a total of KRW 25,300,000. Miga stared at the piece of jewelry and suddenly no longer knew what to think. You may have thought it cost KRW 1,700,000. But that was insane. How could she have accepted that?

Night Owl
WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILER FOR PAST THE END OF SEASON 4!!
Summary: Shinsou has recently joined class 2-A. He’s always seemed to be a little tired, but is it your imagination or are those bags under his eyes getting darker?
Warning(s): Small use of language, that’s all!
Pairing: Shinsou Hitoshi x Reader
Genre: Fluff, honestly just fluff uwu
Word Count: 2,700+
A/N: Hello and welcome to my first bnha fic!! I’ve written quite a bit of fanfiction but this is my first time doing it on tumblr :3 Also yes, this fic is technically set in the class’s second year, and with my headcanon of Shinsou being placed into class 1-A (or I guess 2-A now) because I won’t accept it any other way. I’m also considering taking requests if anyone is interested in that (:
You puff out your cheeks, brows furrowed deep with thought. Aizawa’s droning lecture faded into the background as your focus deepened. Chin resting in your hand, you tilted your head as your eyes burned (metaphorical) holes into the back of Shinsou’s head. While you had known of him for a while because of the sports festival, you’d only begun to actually know Shinsou much more recently. Watching him during his secret-but-obvious test for the hero course was fascinating, and it was clear to your entire class that he had the potential to become a great hero. As soon as Aizawa announced that he had passed his test, your class had been persistent in persuading your teacher to add him into your class. Something must have worked, or maybe it was just by chance, but it was announced that 1-A would be receiving a new classmate the following school year.
Unsurprisingly, Shinsou fit into your class well. He seemed a bit reluctant to try to connect at first, maybe nervous to be put into such a new atmosphere, along with the pressure of now being a part of the hero course. But really, all it took was one night of you, Kaminari, and Kirishima forcing him to play a Mario Kart tournament and he settled right in. Since then, you found yourself getting along with Shinsou pretty well. It felt like the two of you shared a sort of natural connection, and you were sure he had to feel it too.
But there was a problem. A personal problem, for you really, because Shinsou was hot. And it was fine before he joined the class, really. You were simply content to occasionally see him around school, daydream from afar of running your fingers through his luscious hair while he had no idea who you were.
It was MUCH harder to innocently have those thoughts with the two of you being friends, and when he now sat in the seat directly in front of you. It was actually harder and easier; easier to get side tracked and zone out staring at him, and a lot harder when you’d miss important parts of class or, even worse, he’d almost catch you staring.
You couldn’t help but stare at him now, though. You’d seen him almost nod off in class at least three times today, and while Aizawa’s lectures could feel long winded, Shinsou didn’t seem the type to knock out in the middle of class. Something is definitely off about him today.
“Y/L/N.” You shot up straight in your chair at the sound of your name, panicked eyes meeting those of your teacher. “I hope you’re paying attention to class today, or do you find the back of Shinsou’s head to be more interesting?” Your cheeks flared with heat as the bell rang, saving you from having to give some kind of answer. Aizawa’s eyes glittered with something that you couldn’t quite read, but had you tensing up even more regardless. “There will be a quiz on all of this next week, so come prepared. You’re dismissed.”
Several of your classmates groaned about the quiz the second Aizawa left the room, and you were pretty sure Kaminari was crying. But it all faded into the background as you shoved everything on your desk into your bag, prepared to make a desperate not-quite-running fast walk out of the room when Shinsou turned his chair around and planted his hands on your desk. Ah shit, I was too slow.
“Soooo y/n,” he drawled, leaning down to rest his head on his folded arms. He blinked up at you through lidded eyes, a small lazy grin resting on his face. Oh god it should be illegal to look that good. “Is there something I can help you with?”
You willed your cheeks to not become even redder and slung your bag over your shoulder. You flashed him a wide grin, “Class can get so boring when it’s not hero stuff. And I mean, can you blame me for wondering how you get your hair to look so soft?” Shinsou’s eyebrows quirked up and his grin spread further.
He sat up in his chair with a mischievous look on his face. “What can I say? Having hair this gorgeous is a burden I must bear.”
“You poor soul, braver than Japan’s pro-heroes,” You reply, one hand on your heart and the other wiping away a fake tear. He gave a small laugh and you found yourself lost in his lovely purple eyes, eyes that took your breath away and made your heart do a flip inside your chest. But your grin slipped away as you really looked at him. Is it just me, or do the bags under his eyes seem darker than normal?
“But really Shinsou, I kinda noticed that you almost fell asleep like three times in just the last hour and, well, I was wondering if you’re doing okay?” Your hands gripped your skirt as you looked down at your feet, toeing at the leg of your desk. “I mean, I don’t want to be too intrusive or anything, but I just wanted to let you know that if- if you need anything…” You trailed off, looking back up at him.
His smile faltered and his eyes slid away from yours. He brought a hand up to run through his hair. “Ahh yeah, it really isn’t a big deal. I’m just a little tired.” He then stood up and grabbed his bag, backing away from your desk. “Anyway I should probably study for that quiz, I’ll see you around, y/n.” You blinked and Shinsou was already out of the room.
You stood there for a second, feeling lost at his sudden rush to leave. I know that I was hoping to make a quick escape before too, but I don’t understand? Why did he just leave?
You were shaken out of your stupor when a pair of hands wrapped themselves around your arm and started to tug you towards the door.
“Hellooo?? Earth to y/n? Anyone there?” Mina called as she led you out of the classroom, waving a hand in front of your face. “Or are you too busy thinking about a certain purple haired boy named Sh-”
“Mina!!” You hiss, cutting your friend off as she cackled to herself. “I will literally destroy you if you try to finish that sentence,” you say, shooting her your best pouty glare. She withdrew her hands from your arm, holding them up in front of her in surrender.
“Okay, okay! Will not mention mister hot-and-broody outside of our rooms, got it,” Mina said, giving you a mock salute. You playfully slap your hands at her as she easily dances out of your reach, laughing gleefully at your feeble attempts. “Come on though, y/n/n, what was up with you today? You must have been really zoned out for Aizawa to have called you out like that during class.” The two of you passed through the doorway to outside, heading towards the dorms.
You huff out a sigh, clasping your hands together. “I know that I probably watch him a lot more than you do, but haven’t you noticed that Shinsou has been kinda out of it this week? Like he was super into class and hung out with everyone, but now he just looks, I dunno know, exhausted? Eternally tired? I’m worried about him,” You confessed.
Mina hummed in thought, staring down the path that led towards your building. “Did you try just asking him if he was alright?”
“Yeah, I did today. He said he was fine but he was definitely lying,” you say, frustrated. “His eyes were one hundred percent more dead than they usually are. And I don’t want to seem insensitive or force it out of him, I just wish he would let me help with whatever the hell is bugging him, cause I care about him, you know?”
You look over at Mina with big, sad puppy dog eyes. “Oh y/n/n,” she coos, wrapping her arms around your shoulders and smooshing you into her as tightly as possible. “I know you’ll find a way to help him. You’re the purest, most kind soul in our entire class. Plus your looove for Mr. Purple is stronger than any- EEEEK!” Mina shrieked as you tickled her sides.
“I WARNED YOU!! ” You shouted over your shoulder, laughing as you sprinted into your class’s dorm building, Mina yelling and giving chase just a few steps behind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You rolled over in bed, huffing out a sigh as you looked at the clock.
2:38A.M.
“Uhhhhggg,” you groan out. You’d been trying to fall asleep since eleven, but apparently your mind was set against resting. You slapped your hand over to your bedside table, grabbing your water cup, trying to take a sip but getting nothing.
“Empty? You gotta be fucking kidding me right now,” you mutter out loud to yourself. With an annoyed sigh, you roll out of bed and make your way down to the kitchen.
You step out into the common room and stop short of the kitchen, hearing a faint sound from the living room. Did someone leave the T.V. on? Tip-toeing, you head towards the living room to turn off the television, but freeze behind the couch when you notice that it’s occupied with a lump of a person under a blanket. Who the hell is asleep on the couch??
And then the lump moved.
Okay not asleep. Oh god what if they think I’m being creepy and watching them?? Gotta go gotta go gotta-
“Hey who’s there?” The muffled voice makes you stop in your tracks, and you watch the mystery person sit up and turn around.
You blink. “Shinsou. What are you doing down here still?” You ask, his face bathed in shadows from being backlit by the T.V.
“Oh, y/n/n it’s you,” he says, flopping backwards onto the couch. You make your way around the side, setting your water cup on the coffee table before collapsing down next to him. You run your gaze over his face, taking in the heavy lidded, bloodshot eyes, his messy unkempt hair.
“Have you slept at all tonight?” You ask, trying to casually probe to see how he’s doing. “Or is it a binge-shows-until-the-sun-rises kind of night?”
He huffs an amused sigh, fixing his eyes on you from his corner of the couch. “Well I didn’t really mean to be awake still, but here I am.” You flash him a sympathetic smile. “Hey, listen,” he says, becoming a little more serious. “I know that you were worried about me in class today, and it really isn’t a big deal, but the truth is, I just sort of have a tough time getting comfortable in new places.”
“Oh,” you say quietly, putting the pieces together. “So you probably haven’t been sleeping well lately since you moved into our building.”
“Yeah not really,” he admits. “And there’s something else- but it’s stupid, really.”
“I’m sure it’s not,” you assure him, scooching closer.
“No, no it is, I shouldn’t have even brought it up,” he says, shaking his head. You do a big scooch along the couch, getting even closer and start to poke him all along his side. His mouth splits into a toothy grin as he starts to try and shove your hands away.
“Shinsoouuu,” You coo, your pokes becoming incessant as he laughs and grabs for your hands to stop you. His hands find your wrists, flipping you over and pinning you on your back. You freeze, blushing furiously and blinking up at him in surprise. You become hyper aware of the way he was straddling your body, his knees on either side of your hips. His hands held down your wrists as he leaned over you, some of his hair hanging down to tickle your face, his nose a few inches away from yours. “Well that was uh, kinda fun,” you breathe.
He was completely still for a moment, seeming as surprised as you were. Then he was releasing your wrists, moving back off of you and onto the couch. “Sorry, I got caught up in the moment,” he says, running his hand through his hair and averting his eyes. Your breath caught in your throat at the sight of him. Is… is he blushing??
“It’s okay, you really don’t need to apologize,” you say, giving him a shy smile. “I didn’t mind at all.”
Shinsou looks up at that, and seems to come to a decision. “So, the stupid thing that I mentioned? I had to leave my cat at home when I first moved into the dorms, and I sleep worse without having her to cuddle every night,” he says. “I even got this like, weighted blanket thinking that it’d help? And it kind of does but not always. It doesn’t have the same feeling, you know?”
Your heart went out to him in sympathy, understanding. It must be hard having to say goodbye to his cat. “Shinsou I-”
“And I’m sort of a night owl anyways, but without Muffin I just can’t seem to sleep well.” He concludes. “So yeah, that’s it. Silly, right?”
You reach out and firmly take his hands in your own. “No, it’s not silly. It’s normal to feel sad having to leave your pet, I’m sure you really love Muffin” you say, looking down at your joined hands. “Sometimes it can take awhile to adjust. I know I was anxious during the first few weeks moving on campus, and it’s probably extra hard having to move again.” You look back up at him. “I just wish there was some way I could help.”
You start to pull away, but his grip on your hands tightens. “Maybe there is a way? For you to help?” he says hesitantly. Shinsou looks up at you through his lashes, eyes lidded, hair messy, cheeks flushed- and whatever it is he was about to ask you to do, you were already sold. If he keeps looking at me like that I might stop breathing.
“You could stay down here with me so I can fall asleep, just for tonight?” He asks quietly.
“Yes,” you breathe. “Of course I will.”
Shinsou worked his way back to where he’d laid his pillow on the couch, scooping his blanket up from the floor. He fluffed the pillow and moved to the inside of the couch, against the back cushions.
He looked back at you with a tired smile, and patted the space beside him. “Ready to sleep, kitten?”
You inhaled sharply and your heart skipped a beat, every part of your body melting at the nickname. You crawled across the cushions, settling on your side facing Shinsou. He sprawled out beside you, pulling the blanket up over your bodies. He turned onto his side, his eyes meeting yours.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had a sleepover,” he whispered, making you smile. He shifted a little bit, and asked, “Hey y/n, can- can I hold you?”
“Yeah, sure,” you whisper back, face warming. He moves closer, sliding an arm around your waist and pulling you into him. You take a deep breath and close your eyes in bliss, enjoying the feeling of being held close by Shinsou. “You know,” you murmur to him. “I think I almost passed out at the new nickname.”
You feel the vibration of his laughter through his chest. “Are you saying I should call you that from now on, kitten?” You feel a big grin spread onto your face as you let the nickname sink into you.
“I don’t know if I’ll be able to function right if you call me that all the time,” you mumble, nuzzling into his chest. Shinsou reaches up and runs a hand through your hair.
“Special occasions only, then,” he whispers, letting his hand fall down to your waist again and fully settling in. You feel Shinsou’s breathing evening out, the tension in his body leaving as the both of you edge towards sleep. Before drifting off, you hear Shinsou murmur, “Thank you, y/n. I’m glad I have you.”
“Always, Shinsou.”
Yata is Japan's skateboarding representative in the next Olympics. Yata wanted his boyfriend, Saru to come with him, but S4 has been too busy for him to be able to take time off. So they're separated for whole Olympics, only having phone calls/video chats to tide them over. When Yata's finally back in Japan, after winning gold, Sarumi has a cliché romantic meet-up in the airport. They go home, have reunion sex, then Yata proposes with something to the effect of "I think we both deserve gold."
Aw Yata such a romantic boyfriend XD So say post-ROK Yata's really been focused on competitive skateboarding, for a long time he never thought of this as something he could make a living off of but he's really skilled and he starts winning all sorts of competitions. This eventually leads to him being chosen as Japan's representative for the Olympics and he's just totally thrilled, like he never thought he could really be amazing at anything and here he's going to the Olympics. He really wants Fushimi to come with him and cheer him on and Fushimi secretly really wants to go too (he always complains about having to attend Yata's competitions but he's also always there in the very front of the audience watching). Munakata does try to give him the time off, knowing how important this is to Fushimi, but then maybe some huge Strain thing happens and there's just no way Scepter 4 can part with their third in command for a week. Yata's bummed but he understands too and he makes Fushimi promise to call him and keep in touch, and no matter what watch his competition on TV because Yata knows he can win if Fushimi's watching him, since he always does.
So for the next week or so they're in a long distance kind of relationship, say the Olympics that Yata's attending are being held overseas and maybe he's even in a whole different time zone. This makes things difficult but he still manages to talk to Fushimi when he can, imagine it's like super late at night Japan time but midday for Yata and he gets called by Fushimi, who looks pretty wiped but still wants to talk to Yata anyway and Yata has to make him go to bed and sleep. Yata does feel a little on edge without Saruhiko around but he keeps telling himself this will make things even better once he gets home, like he's gonna jump Fushimi and kiss him and never let him go. Yata manages to pass all the preliminary heats and ends up skateboarding in the finals for a medal, getting ready as he wonders if Fushimi's watching since Japan time this is again like middle of the night. Before Yata's turn comes up his watch beeps and there's this curt message from Fushimi like 'don't screw it up idiot,' which in Fushimi-speak is basically 'good luck I love you' and Yata grins, ready to show off. Back in his dorm at Scepter 4 Fushimi's all curled up in a blanket watching Yata on TV, quietly doing a victory fist when Yata wins the gold.
A few days later Yata returns home all thrilled about his win and ready to see his boyfriend again, imagine a few reporters swarming around the airport wanting to talk to him and then Fushimi pulls up in a Scepter 4 van and Yata just runs past all the reporters and jumps in. Fushimi says he figured Yata could use a ride and Yata tells Fushimi to park for a second because Yata needs to kiss him like now and he doesn't want them to get into an accident. As soon as they get back to the apartment they're just immediately all over each other, Yata realizing that he's not the only one who's been dying to touch his boyfriend this whole time. Later they're all curled up in bed and Yata's showing Fushimi his gold medal, jokingly putting it over Fushimi's head as he says they both deserve gold (and then Fushimi calls him cheesy and throws a pillow at him but Yata can tell he's definitely blushing).
